- 0:00Speaker 1: Today's show is pre recorded. Y'all know what time y'all
- 0:05Speaker 1: don't know. Y'all have a suit on giving them like
- 0:15Speaker 1: the million bucks bus. Things in the stubs stood star
- 0:24Speaker 1: to the mother. Please I don't join joining me. You
- 0:59Speaker 1: gotta turn, you gotta turn to turn them out. Turn,
- 1:43Speaker 1: you got to turn them out. Then turn the water
- 1:47Speaker 1: the water go. Come come on your tha h huh.
- 2:01Speaker 1: I shore will a good morning everybody, y'all listening to
- 2:05Speaker 1: the voice, come on dig me NW one and only
- 2:09Speaker 1: Steve Harvey got a radio show, Yeah, I got one.
- 2:13Speaker 1: And I got a message for you today too. Something
- 2:16Speaker 1: I was thinking about that might help you along the way.
- 2:20Speaker 1: The thing I appreciate about so many people that I
- 2:23Speaker 1: learned from Bishop Jake's, Kenneth Olmer, Donnie McClerkin, Kirk Franklin,
- 2:29Speaker 1: Joel Oldstein, I can't tell you, and many more than that.
- 2:33Speaker 1: I mean, you know I'm naming you know, famous people
- 2:38Speaker 1: because I know you know these names. But my father,
- 2:42Speaker 1: who you never met, was so great in my development
- 2:47Speaker 1: as a man. But my mother thought her mercy. My mother,
- 2:51Speaker 1: she taught me about faith. She gave me the things
- 2:55Speaker 1: I needed to know about. What I speak about every
- 2:58Speaker 1: day that basis was given to me by hers. So
- 3:01Speaker 1: it's so many great people. But here's the thing that
- 3:04Speaker 1: I've had to learn, and that is that if God
- 3:07Speaker 1: got you through it, it's done. Move on. See, I
- 3:13Speaker 1: can't tell you how many people don't really pay attention
- 3:16Speaker 1: to that close enough. If God got you through it,
- 3:20Speaker 1: it's done. Move on. How many times have we as
- 3:27Speaker 1: people allowed God to get us through something, get us
- 3:31Speaker 1: beyond something, get us over something, get us through something,
- 3:36Speaker 1: and then even after it's completion, we sit there and
- 3:40Speaker 1: we dwell on it, and we dwell on it to
- 3:42Speaker 1: the point where it becomes an anchor around our neck,
- 3:46Speaker 1: and we can't move on. We can't move on because
- 3:50Speaker 1: we just won't let it go. It's done. If God
- 3:57Speaker 1: got you through it, it's done. Move on on. Stop
- 4:01Speaker 1: harboring on the pass. Stop hanging on to every time
- 4:05Speaker 1: you fail, Stop hanging on to every time you slipped
- 4:08Speaker 1: up and messed up, Stop hanging on to every time
- 4:11Speaker 1: you didn't get it right. So what everybody makes mistakes,
- 4:16Speaker 1: Everybody messes up, everybody don't get it right, everybody struggling
- 4:22Speaker 1: with something. You ain't the only one, but my God, Man,
- 4:29Speaker 1: if God got you through it, it's done. Move on
- 4:34Speaker 1: you hanging on to it, for that's why He got it,
- 4:36Speaker 1: got you through it, so you can move on from it.
- 4:40Speaker 1: See a lot of things that happen to us that
- 4:43Speaker 1: we think are negative or bad experience. These are lessons
- 4:47Speaker 1: in what not to do. This is a way to
- 4:51Speaker 1: have a now or bearing on. Look out for it
- 4:54Speaker 1: the next time. You got me once, you can't get
- 4:57Speaker 1: me again. I'm telling you. And if God got you
- 5:02Speaker 1: through it, it's done. Move on. You have got to
- 5:06Speaker 1: move on. I use this analogy all the time. I'm
- 5:09Speaker 1: gonna add a little bit to it. Bishop Jake's told
- 5:14Speaker 1: me you cannot drive your car looking in the rearview mirror.
- 5:21Speaker 1: See you know what your rearview mirror is actually for
- 5:23Speaker 1: in your car. Your rearview mirror is designed. After I
- 5:29Speaker 1: pass a car and I want to merge into that lane,
- 5:34Speaker 1: or I want to make another move, I look up
- 5:37Speaker 1: in the rearview mirror, and all I use it for
- 5:41Speaker 1: it shows me that I've gotten past it. I've gotten
- 5:46Speaker 1: past the vehicle I was passing, and I got enough
- 5:49Speaker 1: room now clear to make my next move. That's what
- 5:52Speaker 1: I use my rearview mirror for. I use my rearview
- 5:56Speaker 1: mirror to just glance up every now and then to
- 5:59Speaker 1: see what's come up on me. That's all I use
- 6:02Speaker 1: it for. Listen to me real close. Now. Your rearview
- 6:06Speaker 1: mirror on your car is after you're passing something, or
- 6:11Speaker 1: you're passing by something, you can look up in the
- 6:14Speaker 1: rearview mirror and it lets you know you're past it,
- 6:18Speaker 1: you're beyond it. It's clear now it's in the past.
- 6:22Speaker 1: You no longer have to deal with it as the
- 6:25Speaker 1: car that was in front of you blocking your way.
- 6:28Speaker 1: You have passed it. You look up in the mirror,
- 6:31Speaker 1: you've cleared it. Now if you want to switch lanes,
- 6:36Speaker 1: you could slide on over. You got room. But that
- 6:39Speaker 1: rearview mirror also lets you see if anything is coming
- 6:43Speaker 1: up on you, and you just need to glance, because
- 6:45Speaker 1: if you're moving forward, ain't a whole lot can come
- 6:49Speaker 1: up on you. You're just glancing every now and then,
- 6:51Speaker 1: and it reminds you that you got through something and
- 6:54Speaker 1: you got beyond something. That's what the rearview mirror for. Now.
- 6:58Speaker 1: Let's talk about that windshield. Why you think that windshields
- 7:03Speaker 1: so big on your car. That's the biggest window on
- 7:07Speaker 1: your car. You know why the windshield is so big
- 7:12Speaker 1: because it's where you're going. Because even the automobile makers
- 7:18Speaker 1: want you to have a wide view of where you're
- 7:20Speaker 1: going so you can see what's up ahead. They put
- 7:24Speaker 1: lights on the card night so you can have night
- 7:27Speaker 1: vision and see what's up ahead. But you can, oh, man,
- 7:32Speaker 1: see not? Why is that look? Think about that now
- 7:35Speaker 1: for I move forward with this one. Think about that windshield, man,
- 7:39Speaker 1: why is that windshield so big so you can see
- 7:41Speaker 1: where you're going? It's way more important where you're going
- 7:45Speaker 1: than where you're being, don't you see that? That's why
- 7:50Speaker 1: the rear view mirrors so small because it is nowhere
- 7:53Speaker 1: in there as important as it is as to where
- 7:55Speaker 1: you're going. Why you being just allows you to take
- 7:59Speaker 1: a glance, can make sure you clear it so you
- 8:01Speaker 1: can see if it's room enough for you to make
- 8:03Speaker 1: your next move, so you can know that you've gone
- 8:06Speaker 1: through it and go head on about your business. But
- 8:08Speaker 1: that windshield, that windshield is for vision a man without
- 8:13Speaker 1: a dream of vision, shill Parish. That windshield is for
- 8:16Speaker 1: somebody going somewhere. That windshield is for somebody else there
- 8:20Speaker 1: trying to make another move. I'm gonna go right. I'm
- 8:23Speaker 1: on left. I'm gonna get off on this exit. I'm
- 8:25Speaker 1: gonna take this DTWOL. I'm gonna handle it signed as
- 8:27Speaker 1: a new route. There's only so many miles left to go.
- 8:31Speaker 1: That's what the windshield got. Let me tell you something, man,
- 8:34Speaker 1: when you see a mile sign, you're driving on the freeway,
- 8:36Speaker 1: you're on the interstate, and you let's say you're driving
- 8:39Speaker 1: to a particular city and you see a sign that
- 8:41Speaker 1: says that city is thirty eight, one hundred and thirty
- 8:45Speaker 1: eight miles away. That lets you know where you're going.
- 8:48Speaker 1: And you're on the right path. Now. If you keep
- 8:51Speaker 1: looking in the rear view mirror, you'll never know how
- 8:54Speaker 1: close you are. You'll never know because you're driving your car.
- 9:00Speaker 1: Look in the review mirror. You all on the shoulder,
- 9:02Speaker 1: you hit them rocks up under your car. You'd scared
- 9:05Speaker 1: yourself to death because you know why, because you keep
- 9:07Speaker 1: looking in the rearview mirror. Get out the rearview mirror.
- 9:12Speaker 1: If God got you through, it's done, move on. So
- 9:16Speaker 1: what he don't love you know more? And man, let's
- 9:20Speaker 1: move on. If God got you through, it's done, move on.
- 9:25Speaker 1: God got something for you. If you get out your
- 9:27Speaker 1: rearview mirror and get up in that windshield. God's got
- 9:31Speaker 1: something for your upp ahead. But you can't see what's
- 9:33Speaker 1: up ahead because you in that rearview mirror. If God
- 9:36Speaker 1: got you through, it is done. Let's move on. Come on, y'all,
- 9:41Speaker 1: don't let the pass beat you up. That's the ingredients
- 9:44Speaker 1: in the cake. You haven't made that already, and that's done.
- 9:47Speaker 1: Let's go. God, look in the windshield, see what God
- 9:50Speaker 1: Mobbler got something new for you. If you get out
- 9:52Speaker 1: the rear view mirror and look, open up your eyes
- 9:54Speaker 1: and see. All right, let's go. Today you're listening show,
- 10:02Speaker 1: ladies and gentlemen. It is here. The Steve Harvey Morning
- 10:05Speaker 1: Show has beset itself upon us. It is an arrival
- 10:09Speaker 1: of a new day. It is a glorious day. Today
- 10:12Speaker 1: is the day that the Lord has made. Let us
- 10:15Speaker 1: rejoice and be glad in it. I want to thank
- 10:18Speaker 1: i los Vera Harvey for saying that to me on
- 10:21Speaker 1: my way out to school every morning. I didn't get
- 10:24Speaker 1: it back then because I was a boy and I
- 10:27Speaker 1: just didn't want to apply that. I ain't understand why
- 10:30Speaker 1: she kept saying that. I heard this yesterday. But oh God,
- 10:35Speaker 1: how I thank her for that, because now I realize
- 10:39Speaker 1: today is the day that the Lord has made that
- 10:42Speaker 1: I had nothing to do with the protection of it.
- 10:45Speaker 1: He makes that son come up every single day. You
- 10:48Speaker 1: can't stop it, you can't move it shifted, you can't
- 10:52Speaker 1: do nothing with its appearance or its arrival or its departure. Man,
- 10:58Speaker 1: what a mighty God we sun, thank you Lord for
- 11:02Speaker 1: the day. Ladies and gentlemen. This show stars a bunch
- 11:07Speaker 1: of Christians. Shirley Strawberry who sit for scriptures every morning.
- 11:13Speaker 1: I've asked her to and I thank her to do it.
- 11:15Speaker 1: Caller for real, who is a Christian? That's very similar
- 11:19Speaker 1: to the Christian that I am. Entry level Christianity, Holy Carlin,
- 11:25Speaker 1: I do not practice advanced Christianity. We are very comfortable
- 11:28Speaker 1: with entry level. If you slap us, you will be
- 11:33Speaker 1: slapped back. The mouth of the South. Give him all
- 11:38Speaker 1: the praise and the glory, the mouth of the South
- 11:43Speaker 1: who was raising Mississippi and old Lord. If you don't
- 11:46Speaker 1: really religion anywhere, you need it now, ladies and gentlemen,
- 11:51Speaker 1: Kill Spates, better known as Junior, who has called on
- 11:54Speaker 1: God more times than any of us, put together in
- 12:00Speaker 1: a week. One week, he said his name more times
- 12:04Speaker 1: than we do any year at last, but not Lisa Man,
- 12:08Speaker 1: who resembles the art of Christianity, even at a lower
- 12:13Speaker 1: level than call it. I we do entry level Christianity.
- 12:17Speaker 1: He just does basic Christianity. It's called BC. He has
- 12:24Speaker 1: a form of Christianity that was done before Christ. He
- 12:29Speaker 1: honors the Lord. Really, Yes, this boy's different. He's a
- 12:35Speaker 1: knockout artist. He's a grudge holder, hate part of his repertoire, hothead,
- 12:47Speaker 1: short tempered, quick quick, all of that has the nerve
- 12:53Speaker 1: to love the Lord anyhow and help wounded veterans around
- 12:58Speaker 1: the world. Right, got the nerve to be it. In
- 13:03Speaker 1: the words of my mama, tender hearty. She told me
- 13:08Speaker 1: about my father one day. One day, my mama said, boy,
- 13:10Speaker 1: you just like your daddy. Your daddy rough, Your daddy
- 13:13Speaker 1: a whooper man, but your daddy tender hearted. He said,
- 13:18Speaker 1: your daddy. Chris said, Mama, I ain't never seen daddy
- 13:20Speaker 1: cry before. She said, you ain't never seen him, Carl,
- 13:25Speaker 1: I'm married to him. You tender hearty, just like your daddy.
- 13:29Speaker 1: But boy, you isn't it just like him too? This

- 21:37Speaker 1: Hustle's murderer is found guilty. But right now, we'll talk
- 21:41Speaker 1: about those stories at the top of the hour, because
- 21:43Speaker 1: right now it's time for Ask the clo with the
- 21:47Speaker 1: Chief Love Officer, Steve Harvey. Here we go, Maya and
- 21:50Speaker 1: Little Rock says, I've been married for almost ten years
- 21:53Speaker 1: and my husband started working from home. Since then, he
- 21:56Speaker 1: has disabled the cameras inside our home because he said,
- 22:01Speaker 1: I don't need to see what he's doing all day.
- 22:03Speaker 1: He said it was only a joke, but was it? Well,
- 22:08Speaker 1: what do you do it make? He at home? He
- 22:10Speaker 1: at home, he's been working from the house. I don't
- 22:12Speaker 1: understand what y'all had cameras all over the house for
- 22:15Speaker 1: do y'all house small children? Don't. I don't know what
- 22:18Speaker 1: the deal is. And why y'all got to watch each
- 22:21Speaker 1: other all over there? Why y'all married? If you don't
- 22:24Speaker 1: trust your hood going in the kitchen and you guys
- 22:27Speaker 1: to know what he doing in the kitchen, and then
- 22:30Speaker 1: you got to know what he doing in the garage? Y'all,
- 22:34Speaker 1: y'all don't have a Really, how would you feel if
- 22:37Speaker 1: someone's watching you everywhere you went? I don't understand the
- 22:40Speaker 1: cameras in the house. I'm not with that. So but
- 22:43Speaker 1: it was fine before he started working from home, though,
- 22:46Speaker 1: Well that's cause was nobody home. And if somebody the
- 22:49Speaker 1: house invasion didn't? Yeah, I got that. But now were
- 22:52Speaker 1: all sitting in here, Well, hell if they break in
- 22:55Speaker 1: and we're in here, what's the camera's fault? Were they
- 22:57Speaker 1: in here? Right? We missed him? Claire? Do we see
- 23:01Speaker 1: who's whooping our ass? It's four of them? She's asking you.
- 23:11Speaker 1: Was he just joking when he says she doesn't need
- 23:13Speaker 1: to see what he's doing all day? No, he dared serious.
- 23:16Speaker 1: He just did it in a joking way because you
- 23:19Speaker 1: knows it. Oh, really, now, Oka, y'all, y'all really with
- 23:27Speaker 1: y'all want the cameras in the house and your man
- 23:30Speaker 1: just watching you all day? No, no, we have cameras
- 23:33Speaker 1: on the outside of our heart, outside but on that side,
- 23:39Speaker 1: and we all in here. Come on for what? Yeah? Right? Facts?
- 23:45Speaker 1: All right? Moving on to Swath in Newark. Swab says,
- 23:50Speaker 1: I'm using my nickname because I'm a teacher. I had
- 23:53Speaker 1: sex with one of the parents and she's crazy. She
- 23:55Speaker 1: volunteers in the libbrick now and says it's uh so
- 23:59Speaker 1: she can be with me all day. Can I break
- 24:01Speaker 1: it off with her? Or should I just tell the
- 24:03Speaker 1: principle I have a stalker? What what now? That's stupid? Well, suave,
- 24:12Speaker 1: listen to you took your suave and put it on
- 24:17Speaker 1: the wrong person. Yeah, sometimes suave, you gotta keep your
- 24:23Speaker 1: suave to your damn self. Yeah. But see, yes, your
- 24:28Speaker 1: nickname because you want to do you wanted her to
- 24:30Speaker 1: feel this suave. Yeah, well, suave, Now her asses down
- 24:35Speaker 1: in the library. She on the other side of them
- 24:41Speaker 1: book suave. Yeah, as soon as you pull that book
- 24:47Speaker 1: a book out that shelf, look right through that crease.
- 24:50Speaker 1: That's she looking right at you. What is What is
- 24:57Speaker 1: you going to tell though? Yeah, I don't know what
- 25:00Speaker 1: what you going in there to tell the principal? Yeah,
- 25:03Speaker 1: that's crazy. Maybe he wants to tell the principal so
- 25:06Speaker 1: the principal can stop up volunteering. But he already did
- 25:09Speaker 1: it with her. But she's gonna tell the principle that
- 25:12Speaker 1: they had sex, he supervisor that he had sex with
- 25:18Speaker 1: the teacher, and lose your job. And Lucy's exactly I'm
- 25:22Speaker 1: not telling the damn thing. Ain't stupid? Yeah he's really
- 25:27Speaker 1: his nickname stupid. Ain't nobody names like you parted up
- 25:35Speaker 1: the Silvers or somebody suave you want to do the
- 25:40Speaker 1: barges A nobody names suave. Ain't no damn more ricove?
- 25:50Speaker 1: Remember him? All right? Moving on to Kim and the
- 25:54Speaker 1: Island Empire, Kim says, I'm dating a man that wants
- 25:58Speaker 1: everything his way. We go to his church, We ride
- 26:01Speaker 1: in his car, sleep in his bed, and watch his
- 26:04Speaker 1: huge flat screen because all of his stuff is best,
- 26:09Speaker 1: that's in his mind. Okay, I'm all for compromising, but
- 26:13Speaker 1: is this a bit extreme? I guess you're saying he
- 26:17Speaker 1: thinks his car is bigger and better than yours. Everything,
- 26:21Speaker 1: all his bed is bigger bed than yours. His flash
- 26:25Speaker 1: screen TV is bigger and better than you, and his
- 26:29Speaker 1: church is big and betting church everything. Yeah, so I
- 26:35Speaker 1: think that's the reason you started dating to him in
- 26:39Speaker 1: the first place, because he had his flex was strong.
- 26:43Speaker 1: Now he came down with everything car, church, flash screen TV,
- 26:49Speaker 1: bigg as bed flex game was strong, and now you
- 26:55Speaker 1: in that cause he don't want to sleep in your
- 26:57Speaker 1: lasted a lot of mostly and don't like sleeping in
- 27:00Speaker 1: twin beings. Know, we don't want to go down to
- 27:05Speaker 1: the little stove front with the foe weight Chad. We
- 27:08Speaker 1: ain't going to hear what usher board is to Choie.
- 27:11Speaker 1: We don't want to go do that on Sunday. But
- 27:15Speaker 1: what is she trying to say? He's controlling or something
- 27:17Speaker 1: because he well you know, she want to use her
- 27:19Speaker 1: little stuff. Everyone want to be squint looking at you
- 27:22Speaker 1: the last game. We want to actually see the player.
- 27:25Speaker 1: We won't try to he watching your TV. He got
- 27:27Speaker 1: to figure out who got the ball? Take too much
- 27:32Speaker 1: to watch? Yeah, and watching your TV. We got to
- 27:35Speaker 1: screw it up. Hey, baby, baby, help me pulling the
- 27:37Speaker 1: couch up so we can watch TV. All right? All right?
- 27:43Speaker 1: Last one, last one, Jennie and san Antonio says, I'm
- 27:47Speaker 1: almost fifty years old and I don't know how to drive.
- 27:50Speaker 1: My husband of eighteen years doesn't have the patience to
- 27:53Speaker 1: teach me, so a male co worker practiced with me
- 27:57Speaker 1: in our parking lot at work. I mentioned it to
- 27:59Speaker 1: my husband, hoping he'd get jealous and agreed to help me,
- 28:03Speaker 1: but he didn't care. I didn't a long time. Yeah,
- 28:12Speaker 1: because you're on his last Damn man, if you're not
- 28:14Speaker 1: tired of his car practice with your male co working
- 28:18Speaker 1: in the parking lot. But really, Jamie, you're gonna mess
- 28:21Speaker 1: your mess your manager. Why don't you just take driver's
- 28:24Speaker 1: education Them courses are not that expensive and let somebody
- 28:29Speaker 1: sit over there, because you know now in the driver
- 28:31Speaker 1: student driver car they gotta stare wheel and a break
- 28:34Speaker 1: on the other side. Oh okay, Oh I wish they
- 28:37Speaker 1: had one. I didn't know that now they actually have
- 28:40Speaker 1: a break and a stair wheel on the other side
- 28:43Speaker 1: of the car. They just take over because there's been
- 28:46Speaker 1: some teachers didn't have some horrific experience. Yeah, stream, I said,
- 28:52Speaker 1: stop the other foot stop, get you other foot y'all
- 28:56Speaker 1: stop turn the car. It's just too much. So I
- 29:00Speaker 1: used to do that when I was in the car
- 29:01Speaker 1: with my daughter. But she's turned out to be a
- 29:03Speaker 1: good driver now. But the co workers up to some
- 29:08Speaker 1: t that's the thing. Yea, and she is too. Hello,
- 29:14Speaker 1: all right, thank you, Cello. Coming up at the top
- 29:17Speaker 1: of the hour, we'll have some entertainment news for you
- 29:19Speaker 1: right after this. You're listening Dave Harvey Morning Show. Well,
- 29:25Speaker 1: as we know, R Kelly was sentenced to thirty years
- 29:28Speaker 1: in prison last month after being convicted of multiple sex
- 29:31Speaker 1: trafficking charges. But apparently one of his alleged sex crime
- 29:35Speaker 1: victims does in mind that he'll potentially be behind bars
- 29:38Speaker 1: for the rest of his life, and she announced that
- 29:40Speaker 1: she's engaged to R Kelly. On Monday, TMZ obtains yeah yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 29:46Speaker 1: yeah yeah. This happened. On Monday. TMZ obtained legal documents
- 29:52Speaker 1: showing that he is engaged to Joscelyn Savage through a
- 29:55Speaker 1: letter that she issued to Judge Anne Donnelly prior to
- 29:58Speaker 1: r Kelly's sentencing. The letter read, my name is Jocelyn
- 30:02Speaker 1: Savage and I'm our Kelly's fiance. I'm not the victim
- 30:06Speaker 1: that the government has portrayed me to be. My relationship
- 30:09Speaker 1: with Robert is amazing. He's the best thing that's ever
- 30:13Speaker 1: happened to me. We have a very special connection and
- 30:16Speaker 1: are deeply in love. I still support Robert to this
- 30:19Speaker 1: day because I love him and will always be here
- 30:22Speaker 1: to support him. Well, obviously, Judge Donnelly wasn't impressed, and
- 30:26Speaker 1: she still issued a thirty year Printon set prison sentence
- 30:29Speaker 1: for Kelly Son. Be it, you're not gonna you know what,
- 30:37Speaker 1: She ain't got nothing to do with the rest of
- 30:38Speaker 1: her life, right, I mean, she's still under his spell.
- 30:43Speaker 1: She's you ain't got nothing to do with the rest
- 30:45Speaker 1: of your life, sister. And then you know to think,
- 30:48Speaker 1: you know, I got you love him, I got that
- 30:51Speaker 1: part I got you support him has nothing to do
- 30:53Speaker 1: with his innocence or guilt. Now, you may be the
- 30:58Speaker 1: one that is not been the victim that the government
- 31:01Speaker 1: has betrayed you to be. But it's a stack of
- 31:03Speaker 1: other people though, And I'm in that interview with Gail
- 31:08Speaker 1: remember when Gail King interviewed him the women. Yeah, but
- 31:12Speaker 1: you know what her life though. It's amazing, man, how
- 31:15Speaker 1: you tie yourself to somebody and you don't realize that
- 31:18Speaker 1: it's time to untie the top yes, sir, Yes, you
- 31:22Speaker 1: know what I mean. Sometimes, man, you got to be
- 31:24Speaker 1: willing to let go of something that's been toxic. It
- 31:28Speaker 1: hasn't been a good relationship for you. And for the
- 31:30Speaker 1: young lady to say that's the best thing that's ever
- 31:33Speaker 1: happened to her in her life. What kind of life
- 31:35Speaker 1: has she had if that is the best thing she's
- 31:39Speaker 1: come up with. And that's what's sad, man, because people
- 31:42Speaker 1: don't know how to look for real joy and happiness
- 31:45Speaker 1: in life because they keep comparing it. Stop comparing your life,
- 31:50Speaker 1: because there is another way to look at life. There's
- 31:53Speaker 1: a whole unexplored and never experienced part of life that
- 31:56Speaker 1: you can get to if you stop comparing this day
- 31:59Speaker 1: to yes to day. Well, today betted than yesterday with
- 32:03Speaker 1: dag going, tomorrow could be better than all of it.
- 32:05Speaker 1: But you got to let go of yesterday so you
- 32:07Speaker 1: can go get it. Very crazy man. Yeah, yes, sir,
- 32:11Speaker 1: I'm gonna tell you what though the Ji Jane is
- 32:13Speaker 1: supported the engagement. We know that you gave him. The
- 32:17Speaker 1: sentence has been handed down. The yeah thirty year, yea,
- 32:22Speaker 1: where's that thirty years? We'll be quiet. They can't go anywhere, nephew,
- 32:33Speaker 1: all right, We're moving on to lighter news now. The
- 32:35Speaker 1: White House held a ceremony to honor civilians who've made
- 32:38Speaker 1: an impact in the country and awarded them with a
- 32:41Speaker 1: Presidential Medal of Freedom. The Presidential Medal of Freedom, it's
- 32:44Speaker 1: the nation's highest civilian honor, and this year's recipients included
- 32:48Speaker 1: olympian Simone Biles and Oscar winning actor Denzel Washington, among others.
- 32:54Speaker 1: Everyone was there to receive their award except board Denzel,
- 32:57Speaker 1: who's rep confirmed that his absence was due to his
- 33:00Speaker 1: positive COVID results. Even though he missed the event, his
- 33:05Speaker 1: rep added that Denzel feels fine. He was honored for
- 33:09Speaker 1: his long standing relationship with the Boys and Girls Club
- 33:11Speaker 1: of America, where he has served as a national spokesperson
- 33:15Speaker 1: for the past twenty five years. Now. Gymnasimone Viles also
- 33:18Speaker 1: received a medal for her outspoken advocacy for athletes, mental health,
- 33:23Speaker 1: children and foster care, and sexual assault victims. And in
- 33:27Speaker 1: case you missed it, jurors found thirty two year old
- 33:31Speaker 1: Eric R. Holder Junior guilty of first degree murder for
- 33:34Speaker 1: the twenty nineteen fatal shooting of rapper Nipsey Hustle. Holder
- 33:38Speaker 1: was also found guilty of two counts of attempt at
- 33:41Speaker 1: voluntary manslaughter, and he was found guilty of two counts
- 33:44Speaker 1: of assault with firearms. He will be sentenced in Los
- 33:47Speaker 1: Angeles County on September fifteenth. The first degree murder charge
- 33:50Speaker 1: alone carries a sentence of twenty five years to life. Wow,
- 33:55Speaker 1: he already had an incident. Yeah, see if you had
- 34:00Speaker 1: a question, Yeah, Uh, this conviction for Nipsey Hustle, it
- 34:05Speaker 1: is great. You know. Um we were out on vacation
- 34:09Speaker 1: and something like Baltimo my attention because I was out
- 34:12Speaker 1: of the country. I just didn't hear anything about it.
- 34:14Speaker 1: This young man that was killed in Acron, that was
- 34:17Speaker 1: shot over sixty times, Yeah, and he had no weapon.
- 34:22Speaker 1: And after they shot him sixty times, after ninety rounds
- 34:26Speaker 1: was fired, they handcuffed him. Yeah. Yes, they handcuffed him.
- 34:32Speaker 1: So to add insult to injury. If you if there's
- 34:35Speaker 1: a body on the ground with sixty bullets in it,
- 34:38Speaker 1: you think the handcuffing is required. See here's here's here's
- 34:41Speaker 1: why I have trouble with police training. Police training seems
- 34:45Speaker 1: to come into play ass like it's just a matter
- 34:49Speaker 1: of the way. It's a policy of the way, we
- 34:51Speaker 1: do think, But where where's the policy that you shoot
- 34:54Speaker 1: ninety times, that a bullet enters a person's body sixty times?
- 35:01Speaker 1: He was hit sixty times, and you didn't think maybe
- 35:04Speaker 1: an ambulance would have been a better call. Now, even
- 35:09Speaker 1: though I don't know how you survived sixty shots, I
- 35:11Speaker 1: just said, then you look on the other side, the
- 35:14Speaker 1: kid that shot up the streets when they called him,
- 35:21Speaker 1: they'll rescue him very nicely and put him in the
- 35:24Speaker 1: car very nicely because he wasn't he wasn't black. Yeah, yeah,
- 35:28Speaker 1: And you know what, there's a sector in this country
- 35:31Speaker 1: that does not understand our angle. When all of this
- 35:37Speaker 1: he was running from the police. Running don't mean you
- 35:40Speaker 1: posted get killed and shots You're guilty, man? Can we
- 35:46Speaker 1: get a trial for some of this stuff? Right? How
- 35:50Speaker 1: about a court date? How about innocent to proving guilty?
- 35:52Speaker 1: What about that policy? It's a lot. I'm sorry to
- 35:56Speaker 1: bring that one up. I was just really pissed off
- 35:58Speaker 1: about that. Yeah, all right, We'll be back with more
- 36:02Speaker 1: of the Steve Harvey Morning Show coming up at about
- 36:04Speaker 1: twenty minutes after the hour. Right after this, you're listening
- 36:08Speaker 1: to the Steven Show. Hey, Steve, maybe we can help
- 36:12Speaker 1: solve this case. Police in New Jersey are looking for
- 36:16Speaker 1: a short man wearing a gas mask and a body
- 36:19Speaker 1: cam who walked into a bank, tried twice and failed
- 36:22Speaker 1: to climb over the teller counter, and then rode off
- 36:26Speaker 1: on a motorcycle, Cops say the man described They described
- 36:31Speaker 1: the man as five foot four. He entered the bank
- 36:35Speaker 1: wearing a gas mask and a vest with a GoPro
- 36:38Speaker 1: camera strap to it. He looked around, didn't see any
- 36:41Speaker 1: teller's present, so he tried to scale the counter but
- 36:44Speaker 1: wasn't able to hoist himself up. He tried one more
- 36:47Speaker 1: time and was again unsuccessful, so he left, got on
- 36:51Speaker 1: a motorcycle and rode away. Police do not know if
- 36:54Speaker 1: the man was armed. They're asking for the public's help
- 36:58Speaker 1: in identifying him, and I'm just saying any ideas, do
- 37:01Speaker 1: you have any thoughts and who it might be. First
- 37:04Speaker 1: of all, by four, I need everybody on this show
- 37:07Speaker 1: to stop thinking it's who you think it is, because
- 37:12Speaker 1: that's why they put it in there. That's not the case.
- 37:17Speaker 1: But now let me tell you what we need to
- 37:19Speaker 1: start looking for. First of all, they said when he
- 37:23Speaker 1: came in, he didn't see no tellers. Oh they was there,
- 37:30Speaker 1: Oh they was there. They at work. They nice medium,
- 37:34Speaker 1: HiPE tall. But if your ass is really shocked and
- 37:39Speaker 1: you can't see over that counter, the tellers was there. Secondly,
- 37:44Speaker 1: he tried to climb up on the counter. Now his
- 37:49Speaker 1: answer so little. He failed to bring rope with him.
- 37:54Speaker 1: Now how his little last thing he gonna get up
- 37:56Speaker 1: on that counter without rope is beyond me. And here's
- 37:59Speaker 1: the less item. He drove away on a motorcycle. We
- 38:03Speaker 1: are looking for the wrong thing. You need to find
- 38:06Speaker 1: somebody on a mopad. This is the lass. Ain't got
- 38:10Speaker 1: up on the motorcycle and got his legs across that.
- 38:13Speaker 1: If you can't climb up on a bank telecounter, it
- 38:16Speaker 1: ain't no way you can get your legs across a
- 38:18Speaker 1: motorcycle and operate the gears and the brakes on the motorcycle.
- 38:22Speaker 1: So we need to start looking for somebody on a moped. Yeah,
- 38:27Speaker 1: that was not a vest he had on. Was that
- 38:31Speaker 1: was the doggy sweater he had on, doggy sweater. So
- 38:35Speaker 1: you look for a little man on the moped with
- 38:38Speaker 1: a doggy sweater on. And that was not a gold
- 38:42Speaker 1: pro and a mask he had on that was his
- 38:45Speaker 1: Gi Joe helmet. So these are the items you need
- 38:49Speaker 1: to start looking for for this little man that couldn't
- 38:51Speaker 1: make it up on the counter. Just to That's how
- 38:54Speaker 1: I was solved the case. You have to look for
- 38:57Speaker 1: a short man in a doggy sweater with g I
- 39:01Speaker 1: Joe hilm at all on a moped. Okay, and he
- 39:06Speaker 1: didn't take nothing. Why as we looking for him? All right?
- 39:13Speaker 1: You know if he had a weapon, he had a weapon,
- 39:16Speaker 1: but he had one of them little green army me
- 39:18Speaker 1: and gun that he had told coming up at thirty
- 39:22Speaker 1: four minutes after the hour, Things are looking great for
- 39:26Speaker 1: Stacy Abrams campaign and Georgia. She's securing that bag. We'll
- 39:29Speaker 1: talk about it right after this. You're listening to the
- 39:33Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show. Georgia gubernatorial candidate Stacy Abrams is
- 39:40Speaker 1: serious about winning this election this time around. In just
- 39:43Speaker 1: two months, she has raised twenty two million dollars. Abrams
- 39:48Speaker 1: is far exceeding current Republican Governor Bryant Kemp's fundraising and
- 39:53Speaker 1: pushing close to fifty million rais since she announced her
- 39:56Speaker 1: campaign in December. That's a big difference from six twenty
- 40:00Speaker 1: eight million that Camp raised for his direct campaign and
- 40:03Speaker 1: the Georgians Georgian's first Camp Committee. Twenty two races are
- 40:09Speaker 1: closely divided among Georgia. They are likely to spend more
- 40:13Speaker 1: than in the past, with much of the spending expected
- 40:16Speaker 1: from Canada's political parties and outside groups. And the gubernatorial
- 40:20Speaker 1: race and US Senate race between Democratic incumbent Ropael Warnock
- 40:24Speaker 1: and Republican challenger Herschel Walker. The general election will be
- 40:29Speaker 1: held on November eighth. November November eighth, I'm making the
- 40:37Speaker 1: announcement right now. We in Georgia are coming out in
- 40:42Speaker 1: numbers biggest he came out in before. You think you
- 40:46Speaker 1: had problems with us, then we're going to show you
- 40:49Speaker 1: that it was no flu. We are also going to
- 40:52Speaker 1: rebuff this idiotic opposal that you put in front of
- 41:01Speaker 1: us named herschel Walker. And what's alarming is see what
- 41:06Speaker 1: they're trying. They think they're so slick, you're gonna go
- 41:09Speaker 1: get a person just cause the black right, to try
- 41:14Speaker 1: to split the black vote in Georgia. Like, we don't
- 41:20Speaker 1: see that coming problem, y'all. God is we know who
- 41:24Speaker 1: black it? Do? Ain't we know? And we've seen this
- 41:30Speaker 1: trick before, We've we've seen. You go get these symbolic
- 41:35Speaker 1: people to perpetrate and act like you on this side
- 41:39Speaker 1: when you own. All you've done is got them on
- 41:41Speaker 1: your side. Herschel Walker doesn't speak for the masses. Hoshel
- 41:47Speaker 1: Walker speaks as a puppet for the Conservative Party, and
- 41:51Speaker 1: he don't even know the issues. And he refuses to
- 41:58Speaker 1: do any debates because then he'll be exposed as to
- 42:02Speaker 1: fraud that he is. At least man have the decency
- 42:07Speaker 1: to get a real political candidate. They are out there.
- 42:10Speaker 1: You can get some black people that really no politics
- 42:13Speaker 1: and will do your bidding. You wouldn't got this football
- 42:17Speaker 1: player that do all these push ups and he looking
- 42:22Speaker 1: with his freedom papers. It's something wrong. How do we
- 42:27Speaker 1: get to herschel Walker? How did they get to him?
- 42:30Speaker 1: They got because he's been in that circle. He's been
- 42:34Speaker 1: friends with Trump, you know this whole time, you know,
- 42:41Speaker 1: and this was before Trump ran for president or anything.
- 42:44Speaker 1: That friendship and bomb was born. He's had relationship with
- 42:48Speaker 1: a lot of Republicans in this state of Georgia because
- 42:50Speaker 1: he was the Georgia guy. When you play Georgia football,
- 42:55Speaker 1: you can be they guy. And then he's never tried
- 42:58Speaker 1: to be nothing else. But they got it's too much climate.
- 43:06Speaker 1: What do you say, what are you saying? What do
- 43:09Speaker 1: you say? You got to turn the firmer status on?
- 43:10Speaker 1: What I know? He saying something? What is clothed? He said,
- 43:15Speaker 1: since we don't control the air, our good air decided
- 43:19Speaker 1: to float over to China's bad air. So when China
- 43:24Speaker 1: gets our good air, they're bad air got to move,
- 43:28Speaker 1: so it moves over to our good air space. Then
- 43:32Speaker 1: now we got to clean that back up. Can we
- 43:36Speaker 1: call him buck? Can we do that? Get her the
- 43:44Speaker 1: most important thing, Steve, you mentioned that the general election
- 43:48Speaker 1: is November eighth. We need to become prepared. Get prepared
- 43:52Speaker 1: right now, registered vote all of that. M Where did
- 43:59Speaker 1: he get to sept afro green? Where? Well in your
- 44:08Speaker 1: science class? Boy, did they tell you? Did you separate
- 44:13Speaker 1: these ads? Please? This is crazy? All right? Coming up
- 44:24Speaker 1: next to the nephew and the prank phone call for
- 44:26Speaker 1: today right after this, you're listening to show coming up
- 44:34Speaker 1: at about four minutes after the hour, it's my Strawberry
- 44:37Speaker 1: letter for today and the subject is a whole lot
- 44:42Speaker 1: of give and take. All right, we'll get into that
- 44:44Speaker 1: in just a minute, just a few minutes, because right
- 44:47Speaker 1: now it's time for the nephew and today's prank phone call.
- 44:51Speaker 1: What you got it like? Hush you? Who are you?
- 44:57Speaker 1: Who are you hushing? No? No, no, miss Steven now

- 45:19Speaker 1: right tier that you blows now not means you too. Hey, Carlin,
- 45:28Speaker 1: let herschel speak, Hey, let let the guy speak. Come on, ladies,
- 45:31Speaker 1: don't be rude. Go ahead. Hers calling you hush ups
- 45:34Speaker 1: when I was talking, Now, shut up, you idiot. You
- 45:39Speaker 1: see me in white fool talking you hush up? You
- 45:44Speaker 1: tell them Hershey, that's his nickname. That's what they call it.
- 45:49Speaker 1: Mersh You like that. Sue loves it when it calls
- 45:55Speaker 1: me hush, It makes me feel makes me feels mighty proud.

- 46:02Speaker 1: what it does. Hers included. Yes, I wish you could
- 46:06Speaker 1: see me. So I'm bawling, my my head up in
- 46:08Speaker 1: my hand right now. It's like that's a patriotic picture.
- 46:14Speaker 1: If I've ever seen this is embarrassing. Really, go ahead,
- 46:20Speaker 1: hershe introduced your pranks is right here. See what means
- 46:24Speaker 1: it might have locks till because it's bots a tree,
- 46:28Speaker 1: it's bots a pecan. He's gonna pleases right here on
- 46:32Speaker 1: the megaphone or whatever they call this thing. Hey and
- 46:38Speaker 1: Hershey speaking up pecan trees. You know you said about
- 46:41Speaker 1: that time for you to come over, and you know, yeah, yeah,
- 46:44Speaker 1: I was gonna I was gonna get picked that tree
- 46:46Speaker 1: for us. Get it all sh you know, so your
- 46:48Speaker 1: mom can make one of those great pies that she made.
- 46:54Speaker 1: Pecan tree. Let's go, y'all. Hello, Hello, I'm trying to
- 47:00Speaker 1: reach h LC. Hey, let me let me Hey, my
- 47:06Speaker 1: name is Marcus. Uh, my mom and them little next
- 47:09Speaker 1: dough to you, mister, and missus my mom and daddy
- 47:12Speaker 1: little next dough to you. And I was calling because
- 47:15Speaker 1: y'all got a pecuntry in y'all backyard. I mean right
- 47:19Speaker 1: on the fence line and to keep you know, pecans
- 47:22Speaker 1: and stuff keep falling over into my mom and them yard.
- 47:25Speaker 1: So I'm talling to see if y'all can do something
- 47:28Speaker 1: man where y'all can pick up. I mean, my mom
- 47:31Speaker 1: and them got a little older. You know, we've been
- 47:33Speaker 1: picking them up for a long time, but I need
- 47:36Speaker 1: somebody to, like, maybe you can cut the limbs back
- 47:38Speaker 1: that's hanging over so that they won't, you know, the
- 47:41Speaker 1: pecans won't be falling over into my mam and them
- 47:44Speaker 1: yard because you know, for them to be bending over
- 47:46Speaker 1: like they're picking up them pacan and it's a lot
- 47:48Speaker 1: of them. So you know, mister, I just wanted to
- 47:51Speaker 1: haul at you and see if you don't mind maybe
- 47:53Speaker 1: cutting the limbs back, because even when we turned the
- 47:56Speaker 1: lamo on and stuff, man, it just you know, the
- 47:58Speaker 1: pecans and stuff be coming out of the lamo just
- 48:01Speaker 1: shooting all over the place. Well, first of all, mavacorn tree.
- 48:05Speaker 1: There's an old coom tree and all it's bout well
- 48:10Speaker 1: and I can't see me cutting it. Well. I mean,
- 48:14Speaker 1: I'm not saying you can't have no body to maintain
- 48:18Speaker 1: your yard, but I mean you it's your mother. You
- 48:22Speaker 1: can maintain your mother's yard, Sir. I go by my
- 48:25Speaker 1: mother's house, you know, every other day and check on it.
- 48:28Speaker 1: But I don't have time to go on the back
- 48:29Speaker 1: and pick up pecans and stuff. You know what I'm saying.
- 48:32Speaker 1: I mean, if you just it don't seem no more
- 48:34Speaker 1: than like maybe four or five limbs that's hanging over there.
- 48:37Speaker 1: But then four or five limbs, I mean they they
- 48:40Speaker 1: there's a lot of pecans falling off of that. So
- 48:42Speaker 1: if mavacorn tree and shady I go back there, there's nothing,
- 48:48Speaker 1: no kind of nothing back there, Okay, d whatever, sir.
- 48:53Speaker 1: I'm not cutting my tree for no like that. Sir. Listen,
- 48:56Speaker 1: what I'm what I'm trying to get you to do
- 48:58Speaker 1: is I'm not I want you cutting you in time
- 49:00Speaker 1: tree down. I just want you to cut a few limbs, sir,
- 49:02Speaker 1: so you know those that way that those are the
- 49:05Speaker 1: ones that are hanging over it won't be you know,
- 49:07Speaker 1: the pecans won't be falling over into my mom's and
- 49:09Speaker 1: them yard and and and you know, like I say,
- 49:12Speaker 1: they're older now, man, they can't be bending over like that.
- 49:14Speaker 1: So you know, I'm I'm just coming to you as
- 49:17Speaker 1: a man right now and asking you when you please
- 49:20Speaker 1: cut this down to these pecans can quit falling over
- 49:22Speaker 1: my mom and them yard almost and you all you
- 49:25Speaker 1: can do is hard someone someone I know your mother
- 49:28Speaker 1: don't cut the yard. It's it's a guy that it's
- 49:32Speaker 1: a guy that cuts the yard. But even when he
- 49:34Speaker 1: cutting the yard. These pecans is flying out from underneath
- 49:37Speaker 1: the yard. The law more they soon or later, we're
- 49:40Speaker 1: gonna be breaking windows over that. What kind of lord
- 49:43Speaker 1: person you have? But don't pick up before they cut.
- 49:46Speaker 1: That's why am I arguing with you about picking up
- 49:49Speaker 1: stuff and all of this. I'm asking you to cut

- 54:26Speaker 1: Dear Stephen Shirley, I'm a twenty eight year old female
- 54:29Speaker 1: and I was dating a man for three years and
- 54:31Speaker 1: we broke up after Valentine's Day because he found out
- 54:35Speaker 1: I went to dinner with an old male friend. It
- 54:38Speaker 1: wasn't like I was hiding anything, but I didn't tell
- 54:40Speaker 1: him because I didn't want to ruin our Valentine's Day.
- 54:44Speaker 1: He gave me a diamond necklace and a set of
- 54:46Speaker 1: expensive luggage. Later, his sister told me he was going
- 54:50Speaker 1: to take me to Hawaii and propose, but I messed
- 54:53Speaker 1: all of that up since I chose to be a cheater.
- 54:56Speaker 1: I assured her and my boyfriend that it was a
- 54:59Speaker 1: simple dinner with an old friend who was happily married.
- 55:03Speaker 1: I think it was his sister that snitched on me.
- 55:05Speaker 1: My soon to be fiance told me that he's glad
- 55:08Speaker 1: he found out about me before he proposed to me.
- 55:12Speaker 1: I thought that was extreme, but then things got worse
- 55:15Speaker 1: and I realized how lucky I was for getting dumped
- 55:19Speaker 1: This man came to my house to gather up every
- 55:21Speaker 1: gift he ever gave me, down to a set of
- 55:25Speaker 1: dominoes he had made for me. He brought his forty
- 55:28Speaker 1: year old female cousin as his bodyguard, so I called
- 55:31Speaker 1: my sister over for reinforcement. In the end, he left
- 55:35Speaker 1: with a few things. Then he took me to court
- 55:38Speaker 1: to take the necklace back and to get his name
- 55:41Speaker 1: off our lease. He knew that I could not afford
- 55:43Speaker 1: the apartment on my salary, so that was pure evil.
- 55:47Speaker 1: He looked me in my eyes in court and said
- 55:50Speaker 1: he does not love me anymore. I couldn't believe what
- 55:53Speaker 1: was happening. My father made sure I was able to
- 55:56Speaker 1: keep the apartment, and I have tried to move on
- 55:58Speaker 1: and date again. But recently my ex popped up at
- 56:02Speaker 1: my apartment, apologizing and crying. My old feelings for him
- 56:07Speaker 1: came rushing back and we made love that night. Seems
- 56:11Speaker 1: like he's truly sorry. Should I give him a second
- 56:13Speaker 1: chance or see if he's changed? Please advise? Well, you
- 56:18Speaker 1: know I love a diamond necklace and an expensive set
- 56:22Speaker 1: of luggage just as much as the next person. I'm
- 56:25Speaker 1: not gonna lie about that, but give him a second
- 56:28Speaker 1: chance to do what hurt you again, humiliate you again.
- 56:34Speaker 1: I mean, you know you cannot You have to know this.
- 56:37Speaker 1: I know you're only twenty eight, but you cannot tell
- 56:40Speaker 1: if someone's changed just because you slept with them for
- 56:42Speaker 1: one night and it was good and you all were
- 56:44Speaker 1: all lovey dubby and you know, a one time crying,
- 56:48Speaker 1: an apologizing incident that certainly doesn't prove anything. What does
- 56:52Speaker 1: that prove? And let's be clear, let's be clear on this.
- 56:55Speaker 1: It's not that I don't believe in second chances, because
- 56:58Speaker 1: I do. It's just that you can't be so quick
- 57:00Speaker 1: to forgive him because of how he treated you. I mean,
- 57:04Speaker 1: you got to remember that he tried to get you
- 57:05Speaker 1: out of the apartment. He came by with a bodyguard,
- 57:09Speaker 1: you know, to get his things. He wanted to get
- 57:11Speaker 1: his diamond necklace back. You cannot give in so easily.
- 57:16Speaker 1: I mean, right now, it's just words that he's saying.
- 57:18Speaker 1: You have to pay attention to his actions, and you
- 57:20Speaker 1: have to do this over time, not just one time.
- 57:24Speaker 1: So if the love you guys had is real, he'll
- 57:26Speaker 1: do whatever it takes to win you back. I mean,
- 57:29Speaker 1: starting with getting rid of this messy sister getting in
- 57:32Speaker 1: your business. All of that. Then his female cousin bodyguard
- 57:36Speaker 1: needs to go. I mean, he was really nasty to you.
- 57:39Speaker 1: You have to remember these things. You can't forget them.
- 57:42Speaker 1: You got to think with your head, not with your heart.
- 57:46Speaker 1: In this case. People get back together after nasty breakups
- 57:50Speaker 1: all the time. But honestly, I just don't have a
- 57:53Speaker 1: good feeling about him. I'm sorry, I don't. He treated
- 57:56Speaker 1: you badly, He took you to court, he did all
- 57:58Speaker 1: of those things. I hate the way he treated you.
- 58:01Speaker 1: I say, let this one go, move on. His reaction
- 58:04Speaker 1: was just too extreme. That behavior would carry on into
- 58:08Speaker 1: a marriage. So let him go, all right? I see
- 58:11Speaker 1: you looking over there? What what letter did you read?
- 58:15Speaker 1: My lord? A whole lot of giving taken? God? You
- 58:24Speaker 1: what you just glazed over? What this woman did? Now?
- 58:29Speaker 1: It's all the man for dinner with a married friend.
- 58:34Speaker 1: That's all she did, Oh Valatine day? What you didn't
- 58:40Speaker 1: tell her man about it? Just like you wouldn't tell
- 58:43Speaker 1: a girl about it. I wouldn't be if I'm having
- 58:46Speaker 1: married What is I'm doing at Valentine dinner? One another woman? Quirefully? No, No, Shirley,
- 58:53Speaker 1: I disagree with everything you said in this letter, Lord,
- 58:57Speaker 1: have mercy, let me harry up, and maybe maybe you mislead,
- 59:01Speaker 1: maybe you blacked out. I forgive it, yes you did.
- 59:05Speaker 1: There is obviously some stuff in here you chose not
- 59:07Speaker 1: to read, so now letting me know if his sister
- 59:11Speaker 1: didn't tell him, so that make it right. You gotta
- 59:17Speaker 1: be consistent, girl, You had your chance, because I please talk.
- 59:24Speaker 1: This twenty eight year old woman that wrote this letter says,
- 59:28Speaker 1: I'm dating a man for three years and we broke
- 59:30Speaker 1: up after Valentine's Day because he found out I went
- 59:36Speaker 1: to dinner with an old male friend. And what was
- 59:41Speaker 1: they doing when they was old man friend? It wasn't
- 59:44Speaker 1: like I was having anything. Now watch this. It wasn't
- 59:49Speaker 1: like I was hiding anything. But I didn't tell him. Lady,
- 59:55Speaker 1: that's Carl had But I didn't tell him because I
- 59:59Speaker 1: didn't want to ruin our Valentine's Day. He gave me
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: a diamond necklace and a set of expensive luggage, and
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: later his sister told me he was gonna take me
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: to Haaii and propose, but I messed all that up
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: since I chose to be a cheetah. What the hell
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: you want this man to do? She bought all this
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: on herself. When we come back, I'm gonna try to
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: calm this, explain the rest of this letter. That all right,
- 1:00:32Speaker 1: hold on, all right, we'll be back with part two
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: of Steve's response at twenty three minutes after the hour.
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: The subject of today's strawberry letter a whole lot of
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: give and take. That's give me the money. Come right back.
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: You're listening, Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, Come on, Steve,
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: let's recap today's strawberry letter. The subject a whole lot
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: of give and take. My response, I've decided to calm
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: down a little bit. It's in directly sponsor Shirley's reading
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: of the letter. She told the girl to be careful.
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: You can't trust hell. He did you wrong. Shirley ignored
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: the fact that this woman twenty eight years old bought
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: all this on herself. Do you know what she did?
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: She mad because she'd been dating this man three years
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: and he found out that she went to dinner with
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: an old man friend at X Exactly. It wasn't like
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: I was hiding anything, she said, but I didn't tell him.
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: Oh and you know why, because I didn't want to
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: ruin our Valentine's Day. So I wanted to have a
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: wonderful Valentine's Day and still date my old friend. He
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: gave me This is her current boyfriend gave me a
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: diamond necklace and a set of expensive luggage. And later
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: his sister told me he was going to take me
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: to Hawaii and propos. But I messed all that up,
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: says I chose to be a cheater. The woman says,
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: up front, I am a cheater. His sister said that. No, no,
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: the woman who wrote the letter said I messed all
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: that up. Says I chose to be a Cheatah. It
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: wasn't like I was hiding anything, but I didn't tell
- 1:02:31Speaker 1: him because I didn't want to ruin our Valentine's Day.
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: He gave me a diamond necklace and a set of
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: expensive luggage. Later, his sister told me he was gonna
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: take me. Told me he was gonna take me to
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: Hawaii and propose. Comma, but I messed all that up
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: since I chose to be a cheater. This is the
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: woman talking Sherley. This is called shirley. This is called
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: reading comprehension. It's called comprehend Somebody Joe asked post to
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: know something about it, and I do surely. I happened
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: to be an expert storyteller, and I tell stories for
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: a living, and I know how to follow a story.
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: If I can do that. You have obviously missed this information.
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: Please admit that because the woman says I chose to
- 1:03:17Speaker 1: be a cheat, why would the lady say I chose
- 1:03:19Speaker 1: to be a cheater? His sister chee lady. She said
- 1:03:23Speaker 1: she ruined all of this because she messed up and
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: chose to become a Cheatah. I assured her, talking about
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: the sister now and my boyfriend, that it was a
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: simple dinner with an old friend. But she just said
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: I chose to be a Cheatah, I with an old
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: friend herself. I think her sister said that to her.
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: I mean we disagree, disagree on this. Sister was talking.
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: I mean, you know we can disagree on that. I
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: think the sister was calling her the cheater. I think
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: the sister was calling the letter writer a cheater. I
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: assured her my boyfriend it was a simple dinner with
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: an old friend who was happily married. If the old
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: friend is happily married, why is he at dinner with
- 1:04:09Speaker 1: this woman friends old friend that got together, and what
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: what did they do as old friends? I think it
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: was his sister that snitched on me. Again, all of
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: this wouldn't have been happening if she hadn't went to
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: dinner as she chose not to tell her hous And
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: the only reason this is all going bad for her
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: is because his sister. She thanked. His sister snitched on her.
- 1:04:43Speaker 1: She is guilty of something, Sherley. Otherwise her her boyfriend
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: wouldn't have even known. If her sister and his sister
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: hadn't said anything, her boyfriend wouldn't went to dinner. Why
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: you why you old? See this part right here? I
- 1:04:59Speaker 1: see that my soon to be y'all say, told me
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: that he's glad he found out about me before he
- 1:05:08Speaker 1: proposed to me. And then I thought that was extreme
- 1:05:14Speaker 1: that he would say that. But then things got worse
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: than I realized how lucky I was for getting dumb.
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: This man came to my house to gather up every
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: gift he ever gave me. Now now you know what,
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: he ain't got to do all that, but he wanted
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: them simple minded ass people. I want every day back
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: I gave you, so he came in there to get it.
- 1:05:33Speaker 1: And then he bought his, he brought it, and he
- 1:05:35Speaker 1: even got the set of dominoes he had made for me.
- 1:05:38Speaker 1: He wont all this back. You're sitting up eating with
- 1:05:41Speaker 1: old friends at Valentine's Day when it's supposed to be
- 1:05:44Speaker 1: out out about this damn necklace and bought this trip
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: to Hawaii and this expensive lugging, and your ass out
- 1:05:51Speaker 1: cheating with your ass talking about it was a simple
- 1:05:55Speaker 1: ass dinner. We're supposed to be having simple ass dinners.
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: I don't even give a damn about the rest of this.
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: Left you mad? I am ain't you mad about about you?
- 1:06:11Speaker 1: This man tell him how she needed to be killed
- 1:06:14Speaker 1: to turn to court. Really, she really dinner without telling
- 1:06:20Speaker 1: her apartment. And the only reason she found out was
- 1:06:25Speaker 1: because she thinks the sister snitch. She wanted to have
- 1:06:28Speaker 1: her cake and eat it too, and when she ain't
- 1:06:30Speaker 1: a good cheetah and she don't know how to do it,
- 1:06:33Speaker 1: and she got busted. She don't even know how to
- 1:06:35Speaker 1: man found out. She thinks his sister put your name
- 1:06:41Speaker 1: on him in everything. Please leave your comments on Today's
- 1:06:44Speaker 1: Strawberry Letter on Instagram and Facebook and Steve Harvey FM,

- 1:08:38Speaker 1: you'd be glad about this. Baker Mayfield has been traded
- 1:08:41Speaker 1: to the Carolina Panthers. Do you have any emotions about this?
- 1:08:45Speaker 1: Because that's the first game y'all playing Sean is gonna
- 1:08:48Speaker 1: have a Baker leaders the quarterback. I wanted them to
- 1:08:55Speaker 1: take with Josh Allen out of Widowing because he playing
- 1:08:59Speaker 1: cold weather. He big country, strong, and that's what you
- 1:09:02Speaker 1: need in Cleveland. And he's one of the best quarterbacks
- 1:09:06Speaker 1: in the league right now. He's with Buffalo. Yeah, big country,
- 1:09:09Speaker 1: And we picked Baker Mayfield over Josh Allen. And clearly
- 1:09:13Speaker 1: I told everybody that's a great commercial, great commercial saw
- 1:09:18Speaker 1: everything and then and then ragged ass commercials was better
- 1:09:22Speaker 1: than his game. Well. Also in the NBA man Josh
- 1:09:29Speaker 1: John Moran made a statement which included Michael Jordan stated
- 1:09:32Speaker 1: that he would cook Michael Jordan in his prime. I
- 1:09:34Speaker 1: can't believe he even said that. I'm not a fan,
- 1:09:40Speaker 1: even over his mouth and bringing that up. So England,
- 1:09:44Speaker 1: little boy, do you need quick playing Video League? You

- 1:12:34Speaker 1: up sticks, trying to pick apples and stuff. But that
- 1:12:37Speaker 1: other hand, yeah, I gotta eat something. This other hand
- 1:12:41Speaker 1: is in a cup position. This other hand is doing
- 1:12:45Speaker 1: what a jockey strap would normally be doing. I got
- 1:12:49Speaker 1: com poitte. That's the whole point. Though you're being free,
- 1:12:52Speaker 1: that's the whole point. You're just being naked. I just

- 1:14:50Speaker 1: of the Steve Harvey Morning Show coming up right after this.
- 1:14:53Speaker 1: You're listening Harvey Morning Show. Well, Kim and Kanye's the
- 1:14:59Speaker 1: oldest day. Her Northwest went viral after she was snapped
- 1:15:03Speaker 1: at the John Paul Gualtier fashion show during Paris Fashion Week.
- 1:15:07Speaker 1: She was holding up a written sign. It was handwritten.
- 1:15:10Speaker 1: It said stop. She was holding it up for the
- 1:15:13Speaker 1: many photographers that were taking her picture as she sat
- 1:15:16Speaker 1: next to her mom, Kim, the picture of North ender
- 1:15:19Speaker 1: sign has become a memable okay if you will, which
- 1:15:23Speaker 1: prompted Kim to explain why North held up the sign.
- 1:15:26Speaker 1: Kim tweeted, for anyone who knows North knows how funny
- 1:15:29Speaker 1: she finds this video. North, I guess had had it
- 1:15:33Speaker 1: with the people taking pictures of her, so she wrote
- 1:15:35Speaker 1: on her invite stop and held it up and wanted
- 1:15:39Speaker 1: them to really just you know, focus on the show
- 1:15:42Speaker 1: and leave them alone. So that's why she had the sign.
- 1:15:45Speaker 1: Well the young lady. I agree one hundred percent with
- 1:15:48Speaker 1: Little North that I appreciate her walnut, but that ain't
- 1:15:50Speaker 1: the game we end. That ain't the game. Your mama
- 1:15:53Speaker 1: in that into game your mama family end. Your mama
- 1:15:57Speaker 1: family is in to see me, take my picture, Look
- 1:16:01Speaker 1: at me here I am. That's the business. That's that's
- 1:16:06Speaker 1: the life y'all need in man. And it's difficult. It is.
- 1:16:09Speaker 1: It's her legacy. It's difficulty. But she has a way
- 1:16:15Speaker 1: to get out a little bit later on. But right now,
- 1:16:17Speaker 1: you know, she's stuck in that, you know, which is
- 1:16:21Speaker 1: part of I guess what Kanye was talking about. He
- 1:16:23Speaker 1: didn't want his little girl on Twitter get exposed to
- 1:16:26Speaker 1: the hate that's on Twitter and stuff like that. That's
- 1:16:28Speaker 1: a parent. I can understand that. Yeah, yeah, all right,

- 1:17:17Speaker 1: board here, all right? Would you rather walk barefoot in

- 1:17:38Speaker 1: I've done that to you. Yeah, all right, that bathroom
- 1:17:43Speaker 1: flo When I was homeless, I spent night in the airport,
- 1:17:47Speaker 1: three nights. M yeah, and man, yeah, I spend the night.

- 1:17:56Speaker 1: you know, I just hell no, you know, on eleven
- 1:18:00Speaker 1: you could just watch there. Man. I went on our
- 1:18:03Speaker 1: stage at the gate, cap back like I was bored,
- 1:18:04Speaker 1: and turned around the screen man wanted to go somewhere,
- 1:18:11Speaker 1: act like I was interested, slept at and then and
- 1:18:16Speaker 1: then hell yeah. And then I met this girl that
- 1:18:18Speaker 1: worked at uh didn't prep that Prezel plays aunts Pressels.
- 1:18:23Speaker 1: She liked me, dog she gave me pressols all day
- 1:18:27Speaker 1: long doing her shield. I kept him at night. I
- 1:18:30Speaker 1: ate I ate Preussel for about three days. No meat.
- 1:18:34Speaker 1: Some water head of water found in the hallway head
- 1:18:36Speaker 1: water bathroom. I was caught. I was in the dog.
- 1:18:40Speaker 1: I was in there, people watching and stuff that I
- 1:18:42Speaker 1: sat cross from the fridays and they had a TV
- 1:18:45Speaker 1: on in there. I watched TV. You had everybody you meet,
- 1:18:49Speaker 1: Oh dog, I was comfortable. Wow. See all right, would
- 1:18:55Speaker 1: you rather be the captain of the football team or
- 1:18:58Speaker 1: the valedictorian of your school? Of the whole school? He vit? Yeah?
- 1:19:05Speaker 1: Iveing to be that? What is again? Valedictorian? You know,
- 1:19:10Speaker 1: the smartest person, one with the best grades. Give me.
- 1:19:14Speaker 1: I'm gonna be this captain famous. Yeah, at least I
- 1:19:19Speaker 1: know how to give a speech in the locker room,
- 1:19:21Speaker 1: because missing that you don't even understand that. I'm sure
- 1:19:24Speaker 1: just glad y'all had me open. I know you sound like, yeah, yeah,
- 1:19:33Speaker 1: I'm gonna beat this captain of the football team. I
- 1:19:36Speaker 1: ain't gonna make that valid, valid thing valtorian or all right,
- 1:19:42Speaker 1: we'll be back with our last break of the day
- 1:19:44Speaker 1: and some closing remarks coming up at forty nine minutes
- 1:19:47Speaker 1: after the hour. Right after this, you're listening to the
- 1:19:50Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show. Hey see, before we get to
- 1:19:53Speaker 1: your closing remarks, we want to um offer up our
- 1:19:57Speaker 1: prayers and condolences to Oprah. Oprah win as you all
- 1:20:01Speaker 1: may know, her father, Vernon Winfrey, passed away on Friday
- 1:20:04Speaker 1: night after he had a battle with cancer. He was
- 1:20:07Speaker 1: eighty eight years old. Winfrey was I beloved barber in Nashville, Tennessee,
- 1:20:13Speaker 1: and owned Winfrey Barber and Beauty Shop for over fifty years.
- 1:20:17Speaker 1: So our condolence is going out to Oprah Winfrey. Well,
- 1:20:22Speaker 1: you know, I wanted to talk to you all in
- 1:20:23Speaker 1: my clothing remarks today about something that I've had to
- 1:20:28Speaker 1: learn to rely on more of late. I wish I
- 1:20:32Speaker 1: had learned this a lot earlier in my life. It
- 1:20:36Speaker 1: would have helped me such a great deal. I've had
- 1:20:41Speaker 1: to learn to trust in God's timing and I've had
- 1:20:47Speaker 1: to learn to trust in God's will. Now, these are
- 1:20:53Speaker 1: tough lessons to learn. I know why I didn't learn
- 1:20:59Speaker 1: these lessons earlier because I thought that it was in
- 1:21:05Speaker 1: my best interests to work as hard as I could
- 1:21:09Speaker 1: make choices and decisions and go about the process of
- 1:21:14Speaker 1: trying to make those choices and decisions work. And I
- 1:21:20Speaker 1: did that, and a lot of people do that, and
- 1:21:22Speaker 1: you know, we set our goals and our dreams up
- 1:21:24Speaker 1: on our vision boards and we get locked in on that,
- 1:21:28Speaker 1: and that's what we start shooting for. What I've learned
- 1:21:31Speaker 1: as I've gotten older, it's Steve Harvey. It's absolutely fine
- 1:21:36Speaker 1: to have aspirations, dreams, and visions and goals, but in
- 1:21:43Speaker 1: your request of requiring or attaining all of these things,
- 1:21:50Speaker 1: you should also add in the request that God let
- 1:21:54Speaker 1: your will be done and give me the strength and
- 1:21:58Speaker 1: wisdom to trust in your timing. But I didn't do that.
- 1:22:04Speaker 1: I thought that it was in my best interests to
- 1:22:07Speaker 1: set my goals and aspirations and then just started working
- 1:22:10Speaker 1: towards them as hard as I could. Some of those
- 1:22:14Speaker 1: things happened because some of those things were in his will.
- 1:22:19Speaker 1: But when a lot of things didn't happen for me,
- 1:22:23Speaker 1: I didn't understand that it just wasn't God's will for me.
- 1:22:28Speaker 1: And so what I've had to learn is i've gotten older,
- 1:22:31Speaker 1: is when I set up my vision board, when I
- 1:22:33Speaker 1: set up my dream board like I have on my phone, today,
- 1:22:36Speaker 1: and I have in my notes section of everything I
- 1:22:39Speaker 1: Want I'm asking of God on page one it says
- 1:22:44Speaker 1: trust in His timing and trust in His will. Because
- 1:22:50Speaker 1: the older I've gotten, I've discovered something that everything that
- 1:22:55Speaker 1: I wanted and then I wanted it to work out
- 1:22:58Speaker 1: of saying a certain way, what God has given me
- 1:23:03Speaker 1: didn't work out that way, and what He gave me
- 1:23:08Speaker 1: was far greater than what I asked. I can tell
- 1:23:12Speaker 1: you it has worked that way every single time. Why
- 1:23:17Speaker 1: I did not learn this when I was younger, Man,
- 1:23:20Speaker 1: it befuddles me. But that's what ag is thought, That's
- 1:23:25Speaker 1: what experience is. They say experiences is priceless. It's a shame.
- 1:23:29Speaker 1: You have to pay for it with your youth. And
- 1:23:32Speaker 1: it cost me my youth to learn that God's will
- 1:23:37Speaker 1: and God's timing is far superior than mine. So now, Steve,
- 1:23:43Speaker 1: how do you fix that? How do you fix that? Well,
- 1:23:47Speaker 1: it's a couple of things I had to get in
- 1:23:50Speaker 1: get in line with. First of all, the will of God,
- 1:23:54Speaker 1: our Father who hardened heaven. How will be thy name,
- 1:23:58Speaker 1: Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as
- 1:24:03Speaker 1: it is in heaven. That's important when you pray to
- 1:24:08Speaker 1: ask God that his will be done in your life.
- 1:24:12Speaker 1: I mean, who would know better how to direct your
- 1:24:15Speaker 1: life than the person who gave you life, your creator.
- 1:24:18Speaker 1: So that was the first thing I had to start
- 1:24:21Speaker 1: implementing in my prayer, to let your will be done
- 1:24:25Speaker 1: on earth as it is in heaven. And then the
- 1:24:29Speaker 1: Lord's prayer gets real specific. Give us this day our
- 1:24:33Speaker 1: daily bread. You know what that is. You're just asking fun.
- 1:24:37Speaker 1: You need enough to get through today. See, tomorrow ain't
- 1:24:41Speaker 1: promised and you have no control over tomorrow. Do you
- 1:24:45Speaker 1: know that today is enough? Do you know that if
- 1:24:48Speaker 1: you take care of yourself today, Today got plenty for
- 1:24:51Speaker 1: you to do. Today as a monster man, today as
- 1:24:55Speaker 1: a truckload. This is all we were built for, we
- 1:24:59Speaker 1: will built for today. Now. Once again, that's not to
- 1:25:02Speaker 1: mean you don't have aspirations, goals, and hopes for tomorrow.
- 1:25:06Speaker 1: That's not what it says. The Bible says, a man
- 1:25:08Speaker 1: without a dream or visions your perish. That ain't what
- 1:25:10Speaker 1: he's saying. But you got to get your focus on today.
- 1:25:15Speaker 1: Give us this day our daily bread, because that's enough.
- 1:25:19Speaker 1: Tomorrow would take care of itself. And like that quote
- 1:25:22Speaker 1: I was reading to you all the other day that
- 1:25:24Speaker 1: I got and I'm gonna grab it right quick. But
- 1:25:27Speaker 1: it really really helped me man, in my focus point
- 1:25:30Speaker 1: of learning how to be, you know, because it's just
- 1:25:34Speaker 1: important that I learned this lesson right here. Fear does
- 1:25:37Speaker 1: not stop death, it stops life. And worrying does not
- 1:25:43Speaker 1: take away tomorrow's troubles. It takes away today's peace. Come on, man,
- 1:25:50Speaker 1: if you focus on today, you'll have a much more
- 1:25:52Speaker 1: peaceful life. Worrying about tomorrow it does nothing for you.
- 1:25:58Speaker 1: That's God's will, That's God's timing tomorrow. Yours is today.
- 1:26:02Speaker 1: Focus on today, man, trusting God's timing, Trusting God's will
- 1:26:07Speaker 1: because it's better than the plan you got. I thank
- 1:26:10Speaker 1: God that I started become more trusting in his timing
- 1:26:13Speaker 1: and his will and stop tripping all the time on
- 1:26:15Speaker 1: what Steve Harvey won't. What do God want for you? Man?
- 1:26:19Speaker 1: Have you ever asked that that's way better than what
- 1:26:21Speaker 1: you could ever imagine? Those are my closing remarks. Don't
- 1:26:25Speaker 1: forget to pray, don't be ashamed to pray, and don't
- 1:26:28Speaker 1: ever be too proud for all. Steve Harvey contests no
