Latest / The Ben Ferguson Podcast / Media Ignores Hunter Biden Testimony, JAN6 Sentences Reduced, & Biden Sidelines Border Issue for 40MINS in SOTU Speech Week In Review
Transcript
- 0:01Speaker 1: It was a massive week in political news. Welcome It's
- 0:04Speaker 1: Verdict with Ted Cruz, Ben Ferguson with you. And these
- 0:08Speaker 1: are the big stories that you may have missed that
- 0:10Speaker 1: we talked about this week. First up, shocking testimony from
- 0:14Speaker 1: Hunter Biden, and there was no coverage from the media
- 0:17Speaker 1: as they were obsessed with the State of the Union. Also,
- 0:20Speaker 1: lower sentences for January sixth offenders. Why did their sentences
- 0:25Speaker 1: get reduced because of corruption with the Biden prosecutors. And finally,
- 0:31Speaker 1: Biden doesn't cover border security until forty minutes into a
- 0:35Speaker 1: State of the Union speech.
- 0:37Speaker 2: It is the week in review and it starts right now.
- 0:41Speaker 1: There's an impeachment inquiry that's happening of the President of
- 0:44Speaker 1: United States of America, Joe Biden. The media is acting
- 0:47Speaker 1: like it's not happening at all. Most people that listen
- 0:50Speaker 1: to the show. If you're not listening to the show,
- 0:52Speaker 1: you may not even know this is even happening. There
- 0:55Speaker 1: was really some shocking testimony that happened last week in
- 1:01Speaker 1: the House and info that was coming out from people
- 1:05Speaker 1: that were having to sit in front of this committee,
- 1:07Speaker 1: including the President's son, Hunter Biden. He had some admissions
- 1:12Speaker 1: and the media refused to touch his story altogether. You
- 1:15Speaker 1: wouldn't even know what was happening if you watched the
- 1:17Speaker 1: nightly news.
- 1:18Speaker 3: Well, that's exactly right. So Joe Biden in the twenty
- 1:21Speaker 3: twenty presidential election, he insisted Hunter had not made money
- 1:26Speaker 3: from China. Well, Hunter has now admitted that was a lie. Now,
- 1:31Speaker 3: he tried hard not to, but he admitted it anyway.
- 1:34Speaker 3: And so deposition testimony was released, and let me read
- 1:37Speaker 3: some of it. Question, your father went while he was
- 1:41Speaker 3: running for president, said his family never received any money
- 1:44Speaker 3: from China. Your father answer yes, has also said answer,
- 1:48Speaker 3: you're right, he's never received he's never interacted with any
- 1:53Speaker 3: of your business associates.
- 1:54Speaker 2: Is that correct?
- 1:56Speaker 3: Yes, but if you introduced him to you, that would
- 2:01Speaker 3: be untrue. No, that is not untrue. I'm telling you this.
- 2:05Speaker 3: The question being asked that you're stating is that my
- 2:09Speaker 3: father said that I never received any money from China,
- 2:12Speaker 3: the government of China, unlike Jerry Kushner, I've never received
- 2:16Speaker 3: any money from a foreign government, he questioned. He didn't
- 2:21Speaker 3: say government of China, by the way, he said China
- 2:24Speaker 3: from China. Well, so understand, Okay, this is the sleight
- 2:30Speaker 3: of hand he's trying to do. He's claiming, now, well,
- 2:34Speaker 3: he didn't get money technically from the government of China.
- 2:38Speaker 3: It wasn't signed government of China. But here's what he did.
- 2:42Speaker 3: Here's what he did admit. He shifted it to, well, yeah,
- 2:45Speaker 3: of course I got money from China. It was just
- 2:47Speaker 3: a Chinese company controlled by the Chinese government and funded
- 2:51Speaker 3: by the Chinese government. But what from the government of China.
- 2:53Speaker 3: It was from a Chinese company. And here's so the
- 2:56Speaker 3: questioning continued, how many millions have you received from Chinese companies?
- 3:03Speaker 3: Because he admitted, and this is the bombshell, admissions, I
- 3:06Speaker 3: have received money from a Chinese company. How many millions
- 3:10Speaker 3: have you received? And he said, well, he didn't know
- 3:13Speaker 3: the exact amount, but let me read this exchange quote,
- 3:17Speaker 3: did you receive money from China or not? Answer quote,
- 3:23Speaker 3: I received money from a Chinese company? Question how many
- 3:29Speaker 3: millions have you received from Chinese companies? Answer? I don't
- 3:35Speaker 3: know the exact amount, but I know that it was
- 3:37Speaker 3: all completely legal and it was incredibly ethical.
- 3:41Speaker 1: This lie, right, I mean, I'm sorry, I'm taken aback
- 3:44Speaker 1: by the quote because it's just so funny.
- 3:45Speaker 4: It was.
- 3:47Speaker 2: It was I never did it. I never did never
- 3:49Speaker 2: did well.
- 3:49Speaker 1: I did it, but it was all legal and ethical
- 3:51Speaker 1: and everything was fine. So stop asking questions. How dare
- 3:55Speaker 1: you act like we did anything wrong?
- 3:56Speaker 3: Incredibly ethical And this is a guy who photographs himself
- 4:00Speaker 3: smoking crack while being with multiple prostitutes, and who's made
- 4:05Speaker 3: tens of millions of dollars selling favors from his father
- 4:09Speaker 3: who was abusing a position of public trust. But understand,
- 4:13Speaker 3: I received money from a Chinese company. This is an admission.
- 4:18Speaker 3: And I want us to play what Joe Biden said
- 4:20Speaker 3: because I want because you need to hear how this
- 4:23Speaker 3: is directly contrary to what Joe Biden said.
- 4:26Speaker 5: My son has not made money in terms of this
- 4:29Speaker 5: thing about what are you talking about?
- 4:31Speaker 2: China? I love that this thing about what about this thing?
- 4:35Speaker 2: Oh yeah, China?
- 4:36Speaker 1: Like I mean, what a brilliant move by him during
- 4:38Speaker 1: the president of debates back then, where it's like, China.
- 4:41Speaker 2: I don't even know what you're talking about. It's absurd.
- 4:44Speaker 3: Look, it's a flat out lie. My son has not
- 4:48Speaker 3: made money from what is it this thing you're talking
- 4:50Speaker 3: about China. That's what he said. Now here's what Hunter
- 4:53Speaker 3: said under oath quote I received money from a Chinese company.
- 4:59Speaker 3: Those two statements are categorically inconsistent. Joe Biden lied, and
- 5:04Speaker 3: he lied in the presidential debate with Donald Trump, and
- 5:08Speaker 3: he lied about the corruption of his son. That's what
- 5:11Speaker 3: the testimony is. And by the way, did you see
- 5:14Speaker 3: that in the six o'clock news this week?
- 5:15Speaker 2: Nope?
- 5:17Speaker 3: Wonder why?
- 5:18Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 5:19Speaker 1: Well, and there's also you and I predicted this months
- 5:22Speaker 1: and months and months ago. Your favorite WhatsApp text ever,
- 5:26Speaker 1: which is, you know, the shakedown with his dad saying
- 5:29Speaker 1: next to him, he was asked about that, and I
- 5:32Speaker 1: have to go back to it because it just it's hysterical.
- 5:35Speaker 1: He says, I sent the text, but I was drunk
- 5:39Speaker 1: or high when I sent it. My dad wasn't there,
- 5:43Speaker 1: which is exactly the amblibi we said they were going
- 5:45Speaker 1: to use. Right, Oh, he was a drunk kid, he
- 5:48Speaker 1: was a high kid. They treated him, Mike, He's a kid,
- 5:50Speaker 1: not a grown adult in his fifties. You know, now,
- 5:53Speaker 1: this is just an addict who was who was desperate
- 5:56Speaker 1: for cash and didn't know what he was doing.
- 5:58Speaker 3: When it works, he got the cash, He got the.
- 6:00Speaker 2: Cash, and he's like, oh, my dad went there.
- 6:02Speaker 1: Let's just remind people we could have found out for
- 6:06Speaker 1: a fact using GPS data, and we still can't. We
- 6:10Speaker 1: still can't, Okay, So explain for everybody how we could
- 6:13Speaker 1: still find that, why and who's blocking it from us?
- 6:16Speaker 1: Knowing for the GPS data if Daddy was in fact
- 6:19Speaker 1: sitting next to his son.
- 6:20Speaker 3: So listen, it's not complicated. We know the exact date
- 6:24Speaker 3: and time that WhatsApp text was sent, and the investigators,
- 6:31Speaker 3: the investigators wanted to subpoena the GPS data on Hunter's
- 6:36Speaker 3: phone and Joe's phone, and if they were both in
- 6:39Speaker 3: the same location, then it would turn out Hunter was
- 6:42Speaker 3: telling the truth that Daddy was sitting there, and the
- 6:45Speaker 3: irs whistleblowers blocked that said, no, you cannot subpoena the
- 6:50Speaker 3: GPS location because it would prove that Daddy was there.
- 6:56Speaker 3: And their objective, the Biden Justice departments objective day one,
- 7:00Speaker 3: has been to protect Joe Biden. Look, look, I'll give
- 7:04Speaker 3: you another example. So Jim Biden provided testimony about Hunter
- 7:09Speaker 3: Biden and had an undisclosed meeting with a corrupt Chinese
- 7:14Speaker 3: businessman whom Hunter has called and this is Hunter's language,
- 7:18Speaker 3: quote the effing spy chief of China. Yeah, he didn't
- 7:23Speaker 3: abbreviate efing. But and this in particular was a meeting
- 7:30Speaker 3: that occurred in September twenty seventeen with Patrick Hoe. Patrick
- 7:34Speaker 3: Hoe was an executive with Chinese Energy conglomerate CEFC. And
- 7:39Speaker 3: by the way, CFC China Energy paid Hunter and Jim
- 7:42Speaker 3: Biden five million dollars. So this wasn't a small amount.
- 7:48Speaker 3: Remember Joe Biden saying said Hunter didn't get money from
- 7:51Speaker 3: that China thing except for that five million dollars. But
- 7:56Speaker 3: they had a meeting. According to Jim Biden, he and Hunter.
- 7:59Speaker 3: Biden had a quote pleasant lunch in Hong Kong with Hoe,
- 8:02Speaker 3: and at the end of the meeting, Hoe asked to
- 8:05Speaker 3: meet alone with Hunter Biden. And here's the quote from
- 8:08Speaker 3: Jim Biden's deposition. Quote, Hoe said, can I borrow Hunter
- 8:14Speaker 3: for you know, a half hour? We're going to go
- 8:17Speaker 3: in the next room. And then Jim Biden said, well,
- 8:20Speaker 3: he didn't know what they discussed in the next room.
- 8:23Speaker 3: This is a man that he had a half hour
- 8:26Speaker 3: private meeting with, a man whom Hunter is described as
- 8:29Speaker 3: the effing spy chief of China. And by the way,
- 8:33Speaker 3: just two months after Hunter, Biden gets pulled aside for
- 8:37Speaker 3: this secret half hour meeting. You know what happened. Two
- 8:40Speaker 3: months later, federal prosecutors in New York indicted Hoe on
- 8:46Speaker 3: charges that he offered bribes to African officials to obtain
- 8:49Speaker 3: oil rights for CFC China Energy during a meeting at
- 8:53Speaker 3: the UN General Assembly in twenty fourteen. So this is
- 8:58Speaker 3: a guy who a couple months later gets indicted for
- 9:01Speaker 3: bribing public officials, and he wants to have a private
- 9:07Speaker 3: meeting with Hunter Biden, and he does have a private
- 9:11Speaker 3: meeting with Hunter Biden. We know also that CFC China
- 9:15Speaker 3: Energy paid Hunter Biden a one million dollars to represent Hoe,
- 9:20Speaker 3: even though there's no evidence Hunter Biden did any sort
- 9:23Speaker 3: of legal work on any of the cases. And you know,
- 9:27Speaker 3: one of the things also that that Hoe did is
- 9:30Speaker 3: he gave Hunter Biden a diamond ring, because you know, yeah,
- 9:36Speaker 3: that's what the spy chief of China should do, is
- 9:40Speaker 3: give the son of the vice president and now the
- 9:42Speaker 3: son of the president a diamond ring.
- 9:44Speaker 4: You know.
- 9:45Speaker 3: Just but remember remember Joe Biden said told the American
- 9:49Speaker 3: people that Hunter hadn't gotten anything from what is that thing,
- 9:52Speaker 3: that China thing.
- 9:53Speaker 2: Now, if you want to hear the rest of this conversation.
- 9:56Speaker 1: You can go back and listen to the full podcast
- 9:58Speaker 1: from earlier this week.
- 10:01Speaker 2: Now onto story number two.
- 10:03Speaker 1: You know, we have a judicial system that's trying to
- 10:05Speaker 1: lock up Donald Trump everywhere they can, going after and
- 10:08Speaker 1: trying to bankrupt him, bankrupt his family, basically sending warning
- 10:12Speaker 1: shots across about any other conservative's singing about running for office.
- 10:15Speaker 1: But then we also have learned a lot more about
- 10:18Speaker 1: what happened on January sixth, to those that were there
- 10:22Speaker 1: in January six that were sentenced to jail. There was
- 10:26Speaker 1: major corruption within the Biden Department of Justice. And I
- 10:32Speaker 1: think it's really this has been underreported, and I think
- 10:35Speaker 1: it's an extremely important story that I would challenge everyone
- 10:38Speaker 1: listening right now take this part of the podcast and
- 10:41Speaker 1: put it on social media, because what we're about to
- 10:45Speaker 1: explain to you, it tells you just how corrupt the
- 10:48Speaker 1: Biden Department of Justice when they come against conservatives.
- 10:53Speaker 3: Well, unfortunately, that's exactly right. In the past few days,
- 10:56Speaker 3: there was a decision from the d C Circuit Court
- 10:58Speaker 3: of Appeals now the d C Circuit Court of Appeals
- 11:00Speaker 3: of the Federal Court of Appeals in DC. It is
- 11:03Speaker 3: considered the second highest court in the land, second only
- 11:07Speaker 3: to the U. S. Supreme Court. There were total of
- 11:08Speaker 3: thirteen different courts of appeals, but the d C Circuit
- 11:11Speaker 3: is the most prestigious. Judges from the d C Circuit
- 11:14Speaker 3: regularly become Supreme Court justices afterwards. And this was a
- 11:18Speaker 3: unanimous decision from a panel, and it's a panel that
- 11:22Speaker 3: the full d C Circuit is one of the most
- 11:24Speaker 3: liberal circuits of the country. But this panel was three
- 11:28Speaker 3: judges appointed by Democrats. The opinion was authored by Patty Millett,
- 11:33Speaker 3: who was an appointee of Barack Obama. It was joined
- 11:37Speaker 3: by Cornelia Pillard, who was an appointee of Barack Obama.
- 11:41Speaker 3: And it was joined by Judith Rogers, who was an
- 11:43Speaker 3: appointee of Bill Clinton. So you have three Democrat appointees.
- 11:48Speaker 3: And they concluded that the Department of Justice was wrong
- 11:53Speaker 3: when they enhanced the sentences of individuals convicted of buieing
- 12:00Speaker 3: or stormining the Capitol on January sixth. And they use
- 12:03Speaker 3: an enhancement called the administration of Justice enhancement. And here's
- 12:08Speaker 3: what Judgementleett wrote for the unanimous opinion. Quote the phrase
- 12:13Speaker 3: administration of justice does not encompass Congress's role in the
- 12:18Speaker 3: electoral certification process. Quote, text, context and commentary show that
- 12:25Speaker 3: the administration of Justice refers to judicial, quasi judicial, and
- 12:31Speaker 3: adjunct investigated proceedings, but does not extend to the unique
- 12:36Speaker 3: congressional function of certifying electoral College votes.
- 12:41Speaker 2: Quote.
- 12:42Speaker 3: Administration of Justice enhancements are typically reserved for defendants who
- 12:47Speaker 3: disrupt judicial proceedings, such as a courtroom trial or a
- 12:51Speaker 3: grand jury investigation. More than one hundred of the defendants
- 12:59Speaker 3: have had Administration of Justice enhancements applied to their sentences. Wow,
- 13:06Speaker 3: and every one of them now is going to go
- 13:09Speaker 3: and seek and presumably receive a lower sentence and potentially
- 13:13Speaker 3: a significantly lower sentence. And what is striking is the
- 13:20Speaker 3: Biden Justice Department sought this enhancement contrary to the law
- 13:24Speaker 3: over and over and over again, because they are engaged
- 13:28Speaker 3: in a jihad. They are like Javert going after Jean Valjean.
- 13:33Speaker 3: It is their quest.
- 13:35Speaker 2: Look.
- 13:35Speaker 3: Merrick Garland has absurdly said the Department of Justice has
- 13:39Speaker 3: devoted more resources to going after the January sixth protests
- 13:43Speaker 3: than any other event in our nation's history. And by
- 13:47Speaker 3: the way, that includes September eleventh. What an absurd statement.
- 13:51Speaker 3: And to be clear, individuals who engaged in violence on
- 13:56Speaker 3: January sixth, and there were certainly individuals who engaged in
- 13:59Speaker 3: violence who assaulted police officers. If you engage in violence,
- 14:02Speaker 3: you should be prosecuted and go to jail. But what
- 14:06Speaker 3: the Biden Justice Department has done is use the excuse
- 14:09Speaker 3: of the violence of a limited number of individuals to
- 14:14Speaker 3: persecute hundreds and even thousands of individuals who engaged in
- 14:20Speaker 3: peaceful protests, who spoke, who expressed their passionate First Amendment views,
- 14:25Speaker 3: but did not engage in violence. And this enhancement was
- 14:28Speaker 3: an effort that they wanted to go after you, even
- 14:30Speaker 3: if you engage in no violence. They wanted to lock
- 14:32Speaker 3: you up. They wanted to lock you up a long
- 14:34Speaker 3: time for the crime of being a Donald Trump supporter.
- 14:37Speaker 3: And it is striking to have a unanimous decision from
- 14:42Speaker 3: three judges, all three appointed by Democrat presidents, saying no,
- 14:47Speaker 3: this is not the law. And of course, sadly the
- 14:52Speaker 3: corporate media has not covered this virtually at all.
- 14:56Speaker 1: They haven't and it's not just that, it's also journalists
- 14:58Speaker 1: that are involved. And there's still harassment that's going on
- 15:02Speaker 1: from January sixth, which I mean this was January sixth, was,
- 15:06Speaker 1: you know, several years ago now. Blaize News investigative writer
- 15:11Speaker 1: Steve Baker, who had been reporting on January six was charged.
- 15:16Speaker 1: He was by the FBI, handcuffed by the FBI. And
- 15:19Speaker 1: this is another example of the abuse of power here.
- 15:23Speaker 1: I think this is a writer, a guy who's been
- 15:26Speaker 1: reporting on January sixth, and it's like they went after
- 15:29Speaker 1: him because they don't like what he was actually reporting on.
- 15:34Speaker 1: And he said this after he was arrested by the FBI.
- 15:37Speaker 2: This is what he said.
- 15:39Speaker 6: I probably don't have a lot to say right now.
- 15:42Speaker 6: I need to process for a little while. I'm actually
- 15:45Speaker 6: still shaking a little bit. I don't like what I
- 15:49Speaker 6: just went through. I don't like the deliberate humiliation that
- 15:52Speaker 6: they put me through. There was no reason to do that.
- 15:54Speaker 6: There was no reason to march me into a courtroom
- 15:57Speaker 6: in the leg chains today there was somebody there answering
- 16:01Speaker 6: for a felony and they weren't in chains mike charges
- 16:06Speaker 6: or misdemeanors. It's just it's mind boggling. But that is,
- 16:13Speaker 6: unfortunately the type of selective persecution that January sixth defendants
- 16:19Speaker 6: are facing and ultimately what we are looking at here
- 16:24Speaker 6: and probably the only reason that many of the January
- 16:28Speaker 6: sixth defendants have had to go through what they've had
- 16:30Speaker 6: to go through, is because of what I've talked about
- 16:32Speaker 6: so many times and what I've written about so many times.
- 16:35Speaker 6: It's called scary words. It doesn't matter if it's Stuart Rhodes,
- 16:40Speaker 6: it doesn't matter if it's the grandmother who chanted Usa
- 16:43Speaker 6: Usa in the Capital. It's the scary words that were said.
- 16:48Speaker 6: If you don't say the right thing at the right
- 16:50Speaker 6: time and comport to the right narrative, that's what they're
- 16:55Speaker 6: going to do, is they're going to come after us.
- 16:56Speaker 6: And that's exactly what's happened. It's not this. These charges
- 17:00Speaker 6: have nothing to do with my behavior at the Capitol.
- 17:03Speaker 6: These charges are reflective of what I said before and
- 17:05Speaker 6: after my speech, what I thought about things, what I
- 17:11Speaker 6: joked about. That's what this was reflective of. And so
- 17:16Speaker 6: that's what we're up against right now.
- 17:18Speaker 1: I mean, you hear him, and it's not what he
- 17:20Speaker 1: did on January sixth, to what he said before and after.
- 17:23Speaker 1: He talked about that grandmother that was charged when she
- 17:25Speaker 1: chanted Usa Usa Usa. I mean they went after anyone
- 17:29Speaker 1: that was in and around January sixth, even if you
- 17:31Speaker 1: were not violent, and if you report it on it
- 17:34Speaker 1: and they don't like your narrative, they came after you
- 17:35Speaker 1: and they put this guy in leg change just to
- 17:38Speaker 1: prove a point. We are bigger than you.
- 17:40Speaker 3: Well, it is selective persecution, and it's not prosecution. It
- 17:44Speaker 3: is persecution. It is targeting the enemies of the regime.
- 17:48Speaker 3: And I have to say it is sad. You know,
- 17:51Speaker 3: Merrick Garland used to be a judge, actually a judge
- 17:53Speaker 3: on the DC Circuit. It was his old colleagues who
- 17:56Speaker 3: slapped him down. Understand there's a personal element to this.
- 17:59Speaker 3: They all serve with Merrick Garland for years. He was
- 18:02Speaker 3: very well respected when he was on the DC Circuit.
- 18:04Speaker 3: And yet three of his Democrat appointed colleagues just unanimously
- 18:08Speaker 3: reversed what his department is doing because it was contrary
- 18:13Speaker 3: to the law. And it's sad to see Merrick Garland
- 18:16Speaker 3: turning the Department of Justice into just a partisan enforcement arm.
- 18:21Speaker 3: It's doing enormous damage to the rule of law. And
- 18:25Speaker 3: to unanimous decision within days of each other doesn't seem
- 18:30Speaker 3: to have caused them even a moment of pause, a
- 18:33Speaker 3: moment of hesitation to say, hey, maybe we should change
- 18:36Speaker 3: our course. And I will say also more broadly, we're
- 18:39Speaker 3: going to discuss in a later pod the persecution of
- 18:43Speaker 3: the media that the Biden Justice Department is engaged in.
- 18:47Speaker 3: And you just gave a good example. But this is
- 18:49Speaker 3: all about not the fair and even handed administration of justice.
- 18:53Speaker 3: This is about abusing power to go after the political
- 18:58Speaker 3: enemies of the White House. And today the d C
- 19:01Speaker 3: Circuit decision that just came down a few days ago
- 19:05Speaker 3: is a big victory for the rule of law against
- 19:08Speaker 3: the political abuse of power by the Biden Justice Department.
- 19:11Speaker 1: As before, if you want to hear the rest of
- 19:13Speaker 1: this conversation on this topic, you can go back and
- 19:16Speaker 1: dow the podcast from earlier this week to hear the
- 19:19Speaker 1: entire thing. I want to get back to the big
- 19:22Speaker 1: story number three of the week.
- 19:24Speaker 2: You may have missed.
- 19:25Speaker 3: So I predicted before the speech that there were four
- 19:29Speaker 3: words that Biden would not say, Lake and Riley and
- 19:32Speaker 3: Jeremy Caserras. Now, as it so happened, he kind of
- 19:37Speaker 3: sort of said Lake.
- 19:38Speaker 7: And Riley, but he almost tried to.
- 19:40Speaker 3: But he did so in response to heckling to someone
- 19:43Speaker 3: calling out say her name, and there were many members
- 19:45Speaker 3: of Congress wearing buttons and pins that said Lake and Riley,
- 19:50Speaker 3: say her name, and.
- 19:51Speaker 2: He said the wrong name.
- 19:54Speaker 3: He said Lincoln Riley, which.
- 19:56Speaker 2: The head football coach at USC.
- 20:03Speaker 3: And he had one of those buttons. So I think
- 20:05Speaker 3: one of the members of Congress had given it to him.
- 20:07Speaker 7: Yes, I don't know if it was Congressman Andy Ogles
- 20:11Speaker 7: who actually invited me tonight, or if it was Marjorie
- 20:14Speaker 7: Taylor Green or what, but there were a handful of
- 20:17Speaker 7: the conservative congressman who had it, and what I heard
- 20:20Speaker 7: from one of the members was that they handed it
- 20:23Speaker 7: to the president. He leaned and he said, oh, I
- 20:25Speaker 7: like your button. But I don't think it was sarcastic.
- 20:28Speaker 7: I think he legitimately had no idea what was going
- 20:31Speaker 7: on and what it represented.
- 20:32Speaker 3: Well, look when the heckling happened, he responded, and he
- 20:37Speaker 3: did sort of try to say her name, although he
- 20:39Speaker 3: didn't get it right. But then look what he said.
- 20:43Speaker 3: He said, you know, she was killed, I'm sorry she
- 20:46Speaker 3: was killed, and he expressed sympathy for the parents. And
- 20:50Speaker 3: I got to say that may have been the moment
- 20:53Speaker 3: that pissed me off. The most because listen, so Lake
- 20:58Speaker 3: and Riley's parents were invited, and actually, you know, they
- 21:04Speaker 3: were invited, and they decided not to come. And I
- 21:07Speaker 3: understand they are grieving the loss of their daughter, their
- 21:10Speaker 3: home in Georgia, and the Georgia House member who invited
- 21:16Speaker 3: them left the seat vacant in honor of Lake and Riley.
- 21:20Speaker 3: And you know, frankly, they don't want Joe Biden's empathy.
- 21:26Speaker 3: They don't want a Hallmark.
- 21:28Speaker 7: Card from him.
- 21:29Speaker 3: They want their daughter back. And and what Joe Biden
- 21:33Speaker 3: didn't do is take responsibility for his direct culpability. And
- 21:40Speaker 3: let's walk through. Lake and Riley never should have been killed.
- 21:44Speaker 3: The illegal immigrant who murdered her was caught. He was
- 21:48Speaker 3: apprehended in Texas, in El Paso. He came illegally from Venezuela.
- 21:52Speaker 3: We had him. And what should have happened is the
- 21:56Speaker 3: Biden administration should have followed the law. They should have
- 21:58Speaker 3: put him on a plane and flown him back to Venezuela.
- 22:01Speaker 3: And if Joe Biden had done that, Lake and Riley
- 22:03Speaker 3: would still be alive today.
- 22:04Speaker 7: But it wasn't. Just l Pass was so so frustrating
- 22:09Speaker 7: about this all totally preventable tragedies. They could have gotten
- 22:13Speaker 7: him in New York. They did get him in New York.
- 22:14Speaker 7: He committed a crime in New York. They let him go.
- 22:17Speaker 3: He was arrested for endangering a child.
- 22:20Speaker 6: That's right.
- 22:21Speaker 3: But New York City, again run by Democrats, calls itself
- 22:23Speaker 3: a sanctuary city, and they let him go. If Joe
- 22:26Speaker 3: Biden had deported him, Lake and Riley would be alive.
- 22:29Speaker 3: If New York City had kept him in jail, Lake
- 22:31Speaker 3: and Riley would be alive.
- 22:32Speaker 7: Forget about New York City. He ends up in Athens, Georgia,
- 22:35Speaker 7: and he steals from a store. I forget which store
- 22:39Speaker 7: it was. The Georgia authorities could I think he was
- 22:42Speaker 7: cited with a misdemeanor for shoplifting. You had three distinct opportunities.
- 22:48Speaker 2: Three chances to get rid of him.
- 22:50Speaker 7: Three chances, three strikes, You're out, and a poor American
- 22:53Speaker 7: student winds up dead.
- 22:54Speaker 3: Because and by the way, let's be clear, Jeremy Cassaris
- 22:57Speaker 3: is a two year old boy, a beautiful little boy,
- 23:02Speaker 3: who was murdered just weeks ago in Prince George's County
- 23:05Speaker 3: in Virginia, about thirty miles from where Joe Biden was standing,
- 23:10Speaker 3: and that little boy was murdered again by an illegal immigrant,
- 23:14Speaker 3: that Joe Biden let go. This is happening across the country.
- 23:18Speaker 3: We're getting day after day stories of children raped by
- 23:22Speaker 3: illegal immigrants. Joe Biden has let go. And he had
- 23:25Speaker 3: zero acknowledgment of that, zero intention of changing anything. It
- 23:31Speaker 3: was just crocodile tears of I'm so sorry about your daughter,
- 23:36Speaker 3: without acknowledging it happened because of his policies. And he
- 23:41Speaker 3: continues to do those policies, which means there'll be another
- 23:44Speaker 3: Lake and Riley tomorrow and another set of parents that
- 23:48Speaker 3: he again disingenuously apologizes well.
- 23:51Speaker 1: And the proof that the President doesn't seem to care
- 23:53Speaker 1: about this issue is the fact that it took him
- 23:55Speaker 1: forty minutes into an hour speech to even mention the
- 24:00Speaker 1: border on his own. That's how far they buried the
- 24:03Speaker 1: border issue in his State of the Union speech.
- 24:06Speaker 7: What I wondered when he was browbeating the Republicans for
- 24:09Speaker 7: not voting for even more illegal immigration, which is what
- 24:12Speaker 7: his border bill would have done, is is he just
- 24:16Speaker 7: counting on the American people not realizing that he is
- 24:21Speaker 7: dismantling the fence that the Texas border authorities are putting
- 24:26Speaker 7: up that it's not merely passivity that he's allowing.
- 24:30Speaker 3: Actually, I'll give you a little bit of correction on
- 24:32Speaker 3: that he wants to dismantle it, but he hasn't actually
- 24:36Speaker 3: done it.
- 24:37Speaker 7: He hasn't succeeded.
- 24:38Speaker 3: No, No, the razor wire is there. And they ended up
- 24:42Speaker 3: Texas had gotten an injunction preventing the Biden administration from
- 24:46Speaker 3: removing the razor wire, and that injunction got reversed, so
- 24:51Speaker 3: the Biden administration is no longer prevented from removing the
- 24:55Speaker 3: razor wire, but they have not done so.
- 24:57Speaker 7: They wanted to do it, they're prevented from doing it.
- 25:00Speaker 7: They're then allowed to do it, but they got spooked
- 25:03Speaker 7: by the politics off.
- 25:04Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 25:04Speaker 6: Wow, Wow, that's.
- 25:07Speaker 7: That's actually encouraging that someone at the White House is saying,
- 25:11Speaker 7: hold on that that really crazy thing that we were
- 25:14Speaker 7: going to do. Maybe let's hold off, yeah for a
- 25:16Speaker 7: few days.
- 25:17Speaker 6: Wow.
- 25:18Speaker 1: All right, before we end, I got to get you
- 25:19Speaker 1: guys reaction to two different things, two clips from CNN.
- 25:24Speaker 1: You guys were obviously in the chamber and you didn't
- 25:27Speaker 1: get to see all the commentary. I want you to
- 25:30Speaker 1: hear what CNN had to say about the state of
- 25:33Speaker 1: the Union, and this is clip one.
- 25:34Speaker 4: Listen, he seemed like walks you talking about this area,
- 25:37Speaker 4: he said, like wal Kowhowski and grand Tarino screaming at
- 25:40Speaker 4: kids get off my lawn, like an old guy screaming.
- 25:42Speaker 5: Again. My guess is that when he got into the
- 25:46Speaker 5: heart of his agenda, the things that you ridicule about
- 25:50Speaker 5: the cost of food and you know, price gouging and
- 25:54Speaker 5: so on, I bet you that scored with a lot
- 25:56Speaker 5: of people. I think that they the populist economic had
- 26:00Speaker 5: agenda is a powerful, powerful thing for him.
- 26:04Speaker 2: Look, there are parts of it.
- 26:05Speaker 5: I'm not sure that the attacks all landed exactly. They
- 26:09Speaker 5: may have landed well in that room for sure, and
- 26:11Speaker 5: they landed well with space voters for sure. I'm not
- 26:14Speaker 5: sure were those swing voters that they landed as well,
- 26:17Speaker 5: But I do think.
- 26:19Speaker 1: I mean, that's David Axrod, the former Obama you know,
- 26:22Speaker 1: senior advisor, who sang, you know, in response to one
- 26:25Speaker 1: of the commenters saying, look it was it was like
- 26:27Speaker 1: an old guy screaming to the kids get off my
- 26:29Speaker 1: Watn's what you said earlier Center. But they're saying c
- 26:32Speaker 1: then and He's even admitting, Hey, there's a pretty good
- 26:35Speaker 1: chance that didn't play well or land with independent voters.
- 26:39Speaker 3: Okay, Ben, you're really scaring me? Are you telling me that?
- 26:42Speaker 3: Unbeknownst to me, I was channeling David Axelrod on CNN.
- 26:47Speaker 2: Holy crap. I might have to just hang it all
- 26:49Speaker 2: up right now, it's over.
- 26:51Speaker 3: I am off the rails, Michael, poor Drake, right now.
- 26:56Speaker 7: Something we need to correct something.
- 26:57Speaker 3: And I got to say even worse acts Rod's analogy
- 27:01Speaker 3: is better. He threw up the hull Grand Tarino like
- 27:05Speaker 3: he took it one notch better. I am just thoroughly humiliated.
- 27:09Speaker 2: And not only that, you'll like this one.
- 27:10Speaker 1: So then there was another commentator on CDN who actually
- 27:14Speaker 1: said this about the president's speech.
- 27:17Speaker 4: Listen, he talked about snickers and snack chips before he
- 27:22Speaker 4: ever got to the border. He was obsessed with his
- 27:25Speaker 4: political rival more than he was obsessed with the condition
- 27:28Speaker 4: of the American people.
- 27:29Speaker 2: It was so weird.
- 27:30Speaker 4: This guy lectures us all on unity, the soul of
- 27:32Speaker 4: the nation, and he gives the most partisan convention speech
- 27:36Speaker 4: in place of a state of a Union that I've
- 27:39Speaker 4: ever heard. It's the literal opposite of unity. It's so partisan.
- 27:43Speaker 4: He's obsessed with taunting Republicans. It's not statesman life. Can
- 27:46Speaker 4: let's say one thing on Israel.
- 27:48Speaker 1: I mean, that was Scott Jennings, a former Coyl league
- 27:51Speaker 1: of mine, who said that.
- 27:52Speaker 2: And he's right, by the way.
- 27:53Speaker 1: I mean, he did talk about snickers and snack chips
- 27:56Speaker 1: before he ever got to the border.
- 27:58Speaker 2: It was his words. It's just weird.
- 28:02Speaker 7: I like his observation that Joe Biden thought he was
- 28:05Speaker 7: at the DNC. Maybe that's as simple as that. You know,
- 28:08Speaker 7: he thought he walked into the convention Whoosie Daisy had
- 28:11Speaker 7: actually was a joint session for the State of the Union.
- 28:13Speaker 7: But you know, the man doesn't remember his own name.
- 28:16Speaker 3: I will say one thing that also, that clip reminded
- 28:18Speaker 3: me of It was odd how many times he referenced Trump.
- 28:25Speaker 3: I cannot think of any State of the Union in
- 28:27Speaker 3: my lifetime with that many references to your opponent, the
- 28:32Speaker 3: former president, the former president, the former president, and and
- 28:35Speaker 3: you know he's like, you know, you know, I believe
- 28:38Speaker 3: in in truth and happiness and love and puppy dogs
- 28:42Speaker 3: and fairies, and my opponent believes in hate and suffering,
- 28:46Speaker 3: in misery and dead puppies, like like it was just like, really, dude,
- 28:53Speaker 3: a little defensive.
- 28:54Speaker 1: You would say campaign when I want, I will tell
- 28:57Speaker 1: you the list of things. Biden didn't mention to say
- 28:59Speaker 1: the Union as ready for this. He did not mention
- 29:02Speaker 1: US service members killed in Afghanistan. He did not mention
- 29:05Speaker 1: US service members killed by Iranian back proxies in the
- 29:08Speaker 1: Middle East. He did not mention gas prices. He did
- 29:12Speaker 1: not mention TikTok or China. He did not mention North Korea.
- 29:17Speaker 1: He didn't mention Cuba. He didn't mention school choice. He
- 29:20Speaker 1: didn't mention the classified doc scandal. He didn't mention Hunter
- 29:23Speaker 1: Biden or the Biden corruption. He did not mention fossil fuels.
- 29:27Speaker 1: He did not mention deporting illegals. He did not mention
- 29:30Speaker 1: a border wall. He did not mention the attacks on
- 29:32Speaker 1: pregnancy centers. And he did not mention China's human rights abuses.
- 29:37Speaker 1: Notice a lot of those connect with people that have
- 29:39Speaker 1: given money of the Biden crime family.
- 29:42Speaker 2: I'll leave it with that center.
- 29:44Speaker 3: Your reaction, well, but did you have anything to say
- 29:46Speaker 3: about how many chips are in a bag of chips?
- 29:48Speaker 7: I think you know, I think he did touch on
- 29:51Speaker 7: that important subject.
- 29:53Speaker 3: Do you know the state of the Union may be
- 29:56Speaker 3: in trouble, but the state of Chips is really in trouble.
- 30:00Speaker 1: As always, thank you for listening to Verdict with Sentner,
