  [SPEAKER_00]: Do you know you can like fully use your Apple Watch as a full-known remote for recording a podcast, which is something you do professionally and should have done a really, really long time ago and never do because it's just really burdensome to think about how now you have to be a video editor when you majored in news editorial journalism so you could hopefully work in a newspaper like the Chicago Tribune or a magazine in New York City.

  [SPEAKER_00]: The theory godmother, listen, I just don't, I don't, I keep saying I don't like costumes, but then I keep seeing these women in witch hats, and I'm kind of like, that's what I want.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Next year I want to have a witch hat, and I want to have a witchy outfit that is clothing I can wear another time, but I really am craving a witch hat in a way I didn't anticipate because remember, I told you I don't like to wear a costume.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So that has been tempting to me, but if you're in godfather, I put it on and was like, well, it's only a few hours.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I just really don't feel like myself and I feel weird, and I know that's the point of a costume that you feel like someone else, but

  [SPEAKER_00]: But I saw, like, I took pull to school today and I saw this mom and her kid and her kid with Spider-Man and I think she was maybe, obviously I don't know.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think she made a Madame Webb because she had a red, like, like, I think it was like reddish hair and that had like a cool trench coat on.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I looked weird like it just looked weird to see me without glasses in a purple wig I thought it'd be like fun and I'd feel like I was in space but I didn't feel like that I just felt I don't know I just I didn't feel it felt alien to me one might say But I'm not gonna complain about costumes the whole time we are past Halloween in real life anyway But I wanted to tell you about

  [SPEAKER_00]: I usually like to go on to Disneyland on Halloween, but now that I have a child, that's like fully off the table.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So we went the day before.

  [SPEAKER_00]: It wasn't a little busy, but not in a way that really impeded our day or our ability to do anything we wanted to do.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Our priorities were, because remember, if you're going with the child to a theme park, you always want to know your priorities in advance.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Our priorities were really meat-micky.

  [SPEAKER_00]: My kid really wanted me to make it.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Uh, it was, we've come a long way.

  [SPEAKER_00]: We've come a long way from her not wanting to go anywhere near a character.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Very exciting, our priorities were to meet Mickey.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I really wanted to see the Mickey.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think it's called Mickey Trick or Treat, basically with the Disney Junior Show is at the moment.

  [SPEAKER_00]: We got to see that over at Disney California Adventure, which was fantastic.

  [SPEAKER_00]: My girl's order is Sprinkles on the bottom.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Scoop a strawberry ice cream whipped cream on top.

  [SPEAKER_00]: She really wanted to go on small world, but I forgot it closed, actually remembered in a panic, because sometimes my brain does work.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I was in a manicure the day before, and it was like, it was like a spirited enter my body, and it was like,

  [SPEAKER_00]: Small world is close on October 30th.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Like it just came out of nowhere and I remembered it And so I had to break the news to her that we weren't going on small worlds Which was fine because we ended up going on stuff we never go on We've kind of gotten in a little routine of easy rides to get on that we tend to do when we're at Disneyland and we went on Astro Orbiter.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I guess it was still like stuck in my head from when I went by myself to Disney World we could go So we went on Astro Orbiter Made it like a half an hour.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Again, it's one of those things like getting out of space mountain when you're like, oh, my bones, I'm getting old, getting in there and then lifting, could you have to sit and then you lift a kid kind of like up and over and into your lap from you sitting in there, I guess you could let your kid go in first, but it's tricky.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I have an end time But you know what I mean and then Dumbo even though like in the blazing sun yikes was so fun I totally forgot there's a water feature to that right I completely completely forgot and so it was nice to do Dumbo do that Do the carousel we had a nice little Halloween day

  [SPEAKER_00]: I don't even think we had any Halloween treats because of those cookies I loved from harbour galley.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I haven't fact-checked it, but I saw enough funny videos where I'm like, I'm just gonna, I'm gonna assume it's true because if people wanted to get the cookies and they're sold out, if their cookies aren't there, then there's old out.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I got a popcorn, which was pretty good, I'll give it a B.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I want to know after I bought the popcorn, it looked fresh like I saw them popping It might have been the caramel corn because it was the booth at DCA, but I saw them pop popcorn and then I went back like 10 minutes later to get popcorn I got a popcorn and it seemed somewhat warm.

  [SPEAKER_00]: It was a cool popcorn and then as I walked away with my new six dollar 50 cent popcorn.

  [SPEAKER_00]: $6.50 is what it costs to get popcorn and Disneyland right now as I walked away with it I noticed them taking all the popcorn out of the big bin and shoving it into like a big plastic box which makes me think like did I get old popcorn was it like the time where they're like oh it's not fresh anymore we got to get rid of it I don't know uh i'm curious if you know the answer that please let me know

  [SPEAKER_00]: I didn't know what to do And then this influence where I like posted a link to this pair and I was like okay, and so I ordered it and it was Amazon and I never order anything on Amazon Anything clothing I never do I'm like oh Amazon that so I ordered these shorts

  [SPEAKER_00]: The lace is only in the front and not the back They're like silky little jammy shorts Laces only on the front not in the back and I'm like, I don't want I want at least to go all the way around and so I return them and when I return them They said psych you get to keep them now.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I just feel like even almost having a three year old being truly like three and a half years out of starting the child journey.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And so I'm trying to find only by things that are kind of I have these standards that I'm kind of shopping by these days.

  [SPEAKER_00]: If it's not fun, I don't care because even if something is itchy, uncomfy, like fragile, if it's fun, fun wins out over everything.

  [SPEAKER_00]: if things basically needs to feel authentic on my body and I know that's a strange way to put it but I will put on a sweater and it can be itchy and I can just be like oh it's so itchy but if it's fun if it feels me I'm gonna keep it there's a sweater I just ordered from Zara and it is

  [SPEAKER_00]: Okay, that's not really something you want to be putting on your body when you're sensitive to what things feel like But I put it on and was like, oh, this is me.

  [SPEAKER_00]: It is this brown kind of it has like it's like knit.

  [SPEAKER_00]: It's kind of see through not see through it has little holes and it's floral and it's brown and it's orange and it's just so

  [SPEAKER_00]: You know what I mean, that like retro, like the 70s that you imagined when you were a kid in the 2000s and the 90s 2000s, that's what this sweater is giving me.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And I'm going to be unconfident at the whole time, I'm going to be happy because it's fun, and it's authentic to me.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So is this like is this going to take me the long haul like is this if I find a new version of this and I'm going to be like I wish I had this better pair or like oh, I wish I had this different version of it.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Also from these Zara Disney collaboration that they did with Harry Lambert, it was kind of slept on because everyone was focusing on the Disney stuff.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Again, it's a little itchy, but it's all thented to me.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And I found these little niche holes in my wardrobe that I have to fill with different things.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I really needed a new pair of jeans that were like a little funky, but a basic.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Those jeans, I'm wearing all the time, and they have made pairing them with tops and shirts and other things I haven't quite figured out how to style together.

  [SPEAKER_00]: It has brought everything together because I filled these little gaps in my wardrobe, and it's been really fun to get dressed again, just because I filled those little gaps.
