- 0:01Speaker 1: Bring it on.
- 0:02Speaker 2: That is what Joe Biden is saying to Donald Trump.
- 0:05Speaker 2: Acting like the man with aviators that loves eid ice
- 0:09Speaker 2: cream and sniff children's heads is back at it, folks.
- 0:13Speaker 2: He's back in the saddle.
- 0:15Speaker 1: Bring it on.
- 0:16Speaker 2: With a presidential debate plan that will now include two debates.
- 0:21Speaker 1: But there's a caveat. They don't want.
- 0:26Speaker 2: There to be audience members, you know that could maybe
- 0:29Speaker 2: clap for Donald Trump when he says things they like.
- 0:31Speaker 1: Yeah, they don't want any of that.
- 0:34Speaker 2: It's also on two hardcore communists networks. Now, Joe Biden's
- 0:39Speaker 2: campaign demanded a ban on audiences during the proposed presidential
- 0:43Speaker 2: debates with former President Donald Trump, and the demand appears
- 0:47Speaker 2: to be designed to reduce the risk of any Biden
- 0:50Speaker 2: protesters attending the event or clamping for Donald Trump.
- 0:54Speaker 1: Now, why is that an issue?
- 0:55Speaker 2: You may remember Donald Trump did a town hall on
- 0:59Speaker 2: CNN and CNN the communist news network, is going to
- 1:03Speaker 2: be hosting one of these two debates, and they saw
- 1:06Speaker 2: what happened. The audience started to actually clap for Donald
- 1:10Speaker 2: Trump and some of the things that he was saying,
- 1:13Speaker 2: and Caitlin Collins didn't know how to handle it.
- 1:16Speaker 1: At CNN.
- 1:17Speaker 2: In fact, CNN didn't know how to handle it is
- 1:19Speaker 2: a network that, heaven forbid, there might be people in
- 1:22Speaker 2: the audience that actually liked what the former president was saying.
- 1:28Speaker 2: So this seems to be done by design to shut
- 1:30Speaker 2: down in silence the people that are voting in this
- 1:34Speaker 2: country so that they'll have less of an impact on
- 1:37Speaker 2: what it looks like to the rest of the country. Right,
- 1:39Speaker 2: because if you see people that are clapping, and you
- 1:41Speaker 2: see people that are excited for Donald Trump, then you
- 1:45Speaker 2: may say, you know what, Yeah, I'm going to be
- 1:46Speaker 2: a little bit more proud of my support of Donald Trump,
- 1:49Speaker 2: or maybe I'm going to jump on the bandwagon and
- 1:52Speaker 2: maybe I can get a little excitement.
- 1:55Speaker 1: Right.
- 1:55Speaker 2: It's the same reason why we in sports it's sports
- 1:57Speaker 2: suck without fans. They just do go to a game
- 2:00Speaker 2: where there's no one there and it's not fun. It
- 2:03Speaker 2: is fun and it's exciting when you're around people that
- 2:06Speaker 2: are fans and there's cheering, like that's just changes.
- 2:09Speaker 1: The entire dynamic.
- 2:10Speaker 2: Now, I've done a lot of debate prep in my
- 2:12Speaker 2: career for people that are running for governor, for Senate,
- 2:17Speaker 2: for Congress, and for the presidency and I can tell
- 2:20Speaker 2: you presidential debates completely change when there is a studio audience.
- 2:26Speaker 2: And I've been in part of that and it is
- 2:27Speaker 2: a blast to watch when a candidate breaks out because
- 2:31Speaker 2: they get some momentum behind them. And that is exactly
- 2:34Speaker 2: why they're demanding that these debates be done in a
- 2:38Speaker 2: way where you cannot have that X factor of what
- 2:43Speaker 2: would happen if Joe Biden says something. It's just a
- 2:45Speaker 2: flat out line and the audience is like boo or no, right,
- 2:49Speaker 2: he's not willing.
- 2:49Speaker 1: They don't want to take that risk now.
- 2:51Speaker 2: In a letter to the Commission on Presidential Debates, the
- 2:54Speaker 2: Biden campaign said it was providing notice that it would
- 2:57Speaker 2: not participate in Commission debates. The campaign said Biden would
- 3:02Speaker 2: only participate in quote network debates, meaning they're run by
- 3:06Speaker 2: networks that are friendly to him. Now, the Trump campaign
- 3:11Speaker 2: has said, or at least Donald Trump has said today, Yeah,
- 3:14Speaker 2: we'll do the two debates. But that's all we had
- 3:17Speaker 2: to say about it. And this was in response to
- 3:19Speaker 2: the quote bring it on now. The Commission's model of
- 3:23Speaker 2: building huge spectacles with large audience is a great expense,
- 3:27Speaker 2: simply isn't necessary or conducive to good debates is what
- 3:32Speaker 2: the Biden campaign wrote in their letter. The debates should
- 3:35Speaker 2: be conducted for the benefit of the American voters watching
- 3:38Speaker 2: on television at home, and not as entertainment for an
- 3:42Speaker 2: in person audience. Right with this, you know this raucous
- 3:46Speaker 2: or disruptive partisans and donors who consume valuable debate time
- 3:51Speaker 2: with noisy spectacles of approval or jeering.
- 3:55Speaker 1: Now, let me just read between the lines here.
- 3:58Speaker 2: There are two things that the Biden campaign is afraid
- 4:00Speaker 2: of with these debates. One that right there would be momentum,
- 4:04Speaker 2: just like we saw in that town hall with Donald
- 4:06Speaker 2: Trump and Caitlyn Collins on CNN and it backfired on CNN.
- 4:09Speaker 1: That's what their fear is, number one.
- 4:11Speaker 2: But I also think their other fear is that there
- 4:13Speaker 2: would be the radicals of the left that would infiltrate
- 4:17Speaker 2: these these Marxists and socialists and communists they've been appeasing
- 4:20Speaker 2: on college campuses for example, that they would then have
- 4:25Speaker 2: to deal with if there was these protests. I think
- 4:28Speaker 2: one of the protests that you would obviously see that
- 4:31Speaker 2: is at top of mind of everybody right now listening
- 4:33Speaker 2: would be the anti Israel protests that probably wouldn't play
- 4:37Speaker 2: well on TV, and then it would put Joe Biden
- 4:39Speaker 2: in a bad situation, and it might give an opportunity
- 4:42Speaker 2: for Donald Trump to say, Look, this is the Democratic Party.
- 4:44Speaker 2: If you vote for Joe Biden, these are the radicals
- 4:46Speaker 2: that you're voting with. So there's two parts of this
- 4:49Speaker 2: here where they're saying we don't need this, right, like
- 4:52Speaker 2: this is something we just don't need. All right, let
- 4:55Speaker 2: me take a moment and talk to you real quick
- 4:56Speaker 2: about your retirement and inflation and the eroding of the
- 5:00Speaker 2: power of the dollar. Right now, inflation is well above
- 5:04Speaker 2: what the Fed's target rate is.
- 5:06Speaker 1: You know what's happened.
- 5:07Speaker 2: Consumer prices are much higher than they were last year,
- 5:11Speaker 2: or the year before and the year before that. That's
- 5:13Speaker 2: why all of us need a financial plan that ensures
- 5:16Speaker 2: that money that we save today will be enough for
- 5:18Speaker 2: us tomorrow. And that's why I've diversified my investments to
- 5:22Speaker 2: include gold and silver. Now, there are a lot of
- 5:25Speaker 2: gold and silver companies. You hear them every day if
- 5:28Speaker 2: you listen to conservative podcasts or talk radio, if you
- 5:32Speaker 2: watch TV conservative networks, you'll see tons of companies. Well,
- 5:36Speaker 2: let me tell you about Freedom Gold USA. Reason why
- 5:39Speaker 2: I love them. They preach protection and diversifying your assets.
- 5:43Speaker 2: They will not take you to put all your money
- 5:44Speaker 2: in gold and silver. Now here's the other thing that
- 5:47Speaker 2: is really important to you. You work hard for your money,
- 5:49Speaker 2: just like I do. And on average they charge twenty
- 5:52Speaker 2: five to thirty percent less than most major gold and
- 5:56Speaker 2: silver firms. So the ones that you hear from there
- 6:00Speaker 2: gonna charge you on average twenty five to thirty percent
- 6:03Speaker 2: more than what you're gonna pay when you call my
- 6:07Speaker 2: friends at freedom Goold USA. Now you can take control
- 6:10Speaker 2: your financial future right now, and you can also get
- 6:13Speaker 2: free silver in your account. They will walk you through
- 6:16Speaker 2: the process, talk to you about about diversifying your investment
- 6:20Speaker 2: your IRA you'r four oh one k or having just
- 6:22Speaker 2: physical gold in your safe Take control now. Visit FREEDOMGOLDUSA
- 6:28Speaker 2: dot com slash ben. That's Freedom Goold USA dot com
- 6:33Speaker 2: slash ben. Or you can call them one eight hundred
- 6:36Speaker 2: sixty five y five eight eight four three. That's one
- 6:40Speaker 2: eight hundred sixty five five eight eight four three, or
- 6:43Speaker 2: online it Freedom Goold USA dot com slash ben. Now,
- 6:47Speaker 2: as was the case with the original televised debates, the
- 6:51Speaker 2: Biden campaign goes on to write in nineteen sixty a
- 6:54Speaker 2: television studio with just the cannons and moderator is a better,
- 6:57Speaker 2: more cost effective way to proceed now. Now, with all
- 7:00Speaker 2: due respect to Joe Biden and the Biden campaign, these
- 7:04Speaker 2: guys don't give a crap about costs. If they did,
- 7:06Speaker 2: they wouldn't be spending more than a trillion dollars every
- 7:08Speaker 2: one hundred days, which is what our federal budget is
- 7:11Speaker 2: right now. So this idea that they are about cost
- 7:16Speaker 2: saving is just absurd. What Joe Biden's campaign is saying
- 7:20Speaker 2: is here's our excuse, and here's why we don't want
- 7:23Speaker 2: our guy in front of a studio audience, because we
- 7:25Speaker 2: believe it is just too big of a liability for
- 7:29Speaker 2: him now. Biden also released a video Wednesday morning proposing
- 7:33Speaker 2: two debates in June and September, saying I've received and
- 7:37Speaker 2: accept an invitation from CNN for a debate on June
- 7:40Speaker 2: the twenty seventh. Biden posts on X over to you Donald,
- 7:45Speaker 2: as you said, anywhere, anytime, any place, right. This is
- 7:48Speaker 2: the guy getting his mojo back here, right. It's all
- 7:51Speaker 2: about the mojo and getting it back. Former White House
- 7:54Speaker 2: Chief of Staff Ron klam A longtime trusted ally Biden
- 7:58Speaker 2: will help Biden with debate prep being told that being
- 8:01Speaker 2: reported by The New York Times.
- 8:03Speaker 1: Now.
- 8:04Speaker 2: Claim previously told MSNBC's Jensaki, who was Biden's former White
- 8:09Speaker 2: House Press secretary, that rules are going to have to
- 8:13Speaker 2: be enforced of any debate between Biden and Trump.
- 8:18Speaker 1: So again they're trying to cook the books here.
- 8:20Speaker 2: Donald Trump, responding on True's social says, please let this
- 8:25Speaker 2: truth serve to represent that I hereby accept debating crooked
- 8:28Speaker 2: Joe Biden on Fox News. The debate will be on Wednesday,
- 8:32Speaker 2: Act over the second. The host will be Brett Baer
- 8:34Speaker 2: and Martha McCallum. Thank you, Donald Trump that coming out
- 8:38Speaker 2: on his response to all of this, I think we
- 8:42Speaker 2: have to see if something different than we saw in
- 8:44Speaker 2: twenty sixteen and twenty twenty, the Biden camp said, where
- 8:48Speaker 2: the Debate Commission lost control of the debates, Trump didn't
- 8:52Speaker 2: follow the rules at all. He talked over his opponents.
- 8:55Speaker 2: There wasn't a fair division of time. It was more
- 8:58Speaker 2: of a spectacle than a debate, Claim claimed, and he
- 9:02Speaker 2: said that's always going to be true with Donald Trump
- 9:04Speaker 2: on the stage. But at least we can have some
- 9:06Speaker 2: rules on the front end. And why are they saying this?
- 9:08Speaker 2: I think it's pretty clear. They're basically saying that if
- 9:11Speaker 2: the first debate doesn't go well for Joe Biden and
- 9:15Speaker 2: he gets just hammered, we'll have an excuse to drop
- 9:18Speaker 2: out of the second debate. So they're already laying the groundwork.
- 9:23Speaker 2: So just to be clear, Joe Biden says, bring it on,
- 9:26Speaker 2: but then says, but you can't have an audience, and
- 9:28Speaker 2: then he says, we need to save money, so we'll
- 9:32Speaker 2: just have only a moderator. And I'm only wanting to
- 9:34Speaker 2: do this on networks and are friendly to me. And oh,
- 9:37Speaker 2: by the way, if he doesn't abide by the rules,
- 9:40Speaker 2: then we're not going to keep doing this moving forward.
- 9:44Speaker 2: So if he gets his brains beat in, he now
- 9:47Speaker 2: has a reason to get out of debate number two.
- 9:50Speaker 1: I will say this, I'm glad that there's a debate.
- 9:53Speaker 2: I honestly thought that the White House would not do
- 9:56Speaker 2: a debate.
- 9:57Speaker 1: I really did.
- 9:57Speaker 2: I thought maybe one, and I knew that we're gonna
- 10:00Speaker 2: come up with some ridiculous rules to pull it off, right,
- 10:03Speaker 2: That's just part of it. But what I was I
- 10:06Speaker 2: was honestly worried we get zero debates because I don't
- 10:10Speaker 2: believe we saw this to the State of the Union
- 10:13Speaker 2: that they can keep the president on his a game
- 10:15Speaker 2: whatever That a game looks like it's constantly changing because
- 10:19Speaker 2: of his mental decline for an hour, hour and a
- 10:22Speaker 2: half two hours. We saw it at the State of
- 10:24Speaker 2: the Union where he had this like you know, dilated
- 10:27Speaker 2: pupil kind of look thing going on small pupils for
- 10:30Speaker 2: like thirty minutes, and he was angry and yelling and
- 10:32Speaker 2: talking really fast, and then whatever it was he was
- 10:35Speaker 2: on started to wear off, and then we saw the
- 10:37Speaker 2: Joe Biden that's this stumbling, babbling, I got to have
- 10:40Speaker 2: some more ice cream, go to bed early, only work
- 10:43Speaker 2: four hours a day kind of guy.
- 10:45Speaker 1: And I think that's what they're worried about. Here.
- 10:48Speaker 2: You look at where we are with the economy right now.
- 10:51Speaker 2: You got a big macmeal that now costs eighteen dollars.
- 10:54Speaker 2: You have unemployment that's rising, and you have people that
- 10:57Speaker 2: are spending less, but you have them having to work
- 11:02Speaker 2: harder and they're technically making more money, but everything's costing
- 11:06Speaker 2: so much more that it is a major problem in
- 11:10Speaker 2: this country right now. We've now gotten some of the
- 11:13Speaker 2: new economic numbers that have just been updated since Biden
- 11:17Speaker 2: took office. Overall prices are now up twenty percent, Food
- 11:22Speaker 2: prices are up twenty one point three percent, rent is
- 11:27Speaker 2: up twenty point eight percent, and electricity right now is
- 11:32Speaker 2: up twenty eight point five percent. That is Bidenomics, and
- 11:37Speaker 2: Bidenomics is really important that the President of the United
- 11:41Speaker 2: States of America has to defend this on stage with
- 11:45Speaker 2: Donald Trump. Now, there's also something else that makes me laugh,
- 11:48Speaker 2: and that is how they're sending the sarrogates out on
- 11:52Speaker 2: TV to try to convince you that the economy is
- 11:55Speaker 2: actually really good right now, and we're seeing every indication
- 11:59Speaker 2: that it's not and it's going in the wrong direction.
- 12:02Speaker 1: I'll give you a great example.
- 12:04Speaker 2: One of those sarrogates is a former Obama economic advisor
- 12:08Speaker 2: who claimed on National TV Today that inflation was nine
- 12:12Speaker 2: to ten percent when Biden took office.
- 12:15Speaker 1: That is a lie.
- 12:17Speaker 2: He said this lie on Fox News Channel, and here's
- 12:20Speaker 2: what it sounded like when the host burst out in laughter.
- 12:25Speaker 3: Time for our panel, Doug hole Deacon is here, former
- 12:27Speaker 3: CBO director, and Robert Wolf his former economic advisor to Obama.
- 12:31Speaker 3: Welcome to both of you, Robert, what was inflation when
- 12:34Speaker 3: Biden took office?
- 12:42Speaker 4: No, no, no, come on, all right, all right, three now,
- 12:48Speaker 4: So it's.
- 12:49Speaker 5: Thanks, I apologize, I put you on the spot there.
- 12:52Speaker 5: It was one point four percent, and that is fact.
- 12:55Speaker 1: So Doug Hold, deacon, this, These are.
- 12:57Speaker 5: The claims that the president.
- 12:59Speaker 2: By the way, did you hear the laugh there? He
- 13:01Speaker 2: these guys go on TV. This former Obama economic advisor
- 13:04Speaker 2: whose whole job was to deal with this crap, looks
- 13:07Speaker 2: at the camera and says it was nine to ten percent.
- 13:10Speaker 2: Now it's at three percent. So it's sound twofold, and
- 13:13Speaker 2: everybody laughs because that's a lie, right like that, that's
- 13:17Speaker 2: a lie.
- 13:18Speaker 1: It's not even close to that. Where was it? Go
- 13:21Speaker 1: back and listen again to.
- 13:22Speaker 2: The lie carefully as he is stunned, like, oh I
- 13:25Speaker 2: got to answer this and I got to defend it.
- 13:28Speaker 6: Tell you.
- 13:33Speaker 1: No, no, no, come on, all right, all right now.
- 13:40Speaker 3: So it's like, I apologize, I put you on the spot.
- 13:43Speaker 5: There one point four percent, and that is fact.
- 13:46Speaker 1: So Doug Hold's deacon this.
- 13:48Speaker 5: These are the claims that the president has been making
- 13:51Speaker 5: that the Washington Post is giving four Pinocchio's kind of
- 13:55Speaker 5: sounds like what Robert just said, listen.
- 13:58Speaker 7: We have dramatically reduced inflation from nine percent down so
- 14:02Speaker 7: close to three percent. We're in a situation where we're
- 14:05Speaker 7: a better situation than we were when we took office.
- 14:08Speaker 7: It was nine percent when I came to office. Nine percent.
- 14:12Speaker 1: But look, people have a right to be concerned.
- 14:15Speaker 7: I think inflation has gone slightly up. This was it
- 14:17Speaker 7: nine percent when I came in, and it's now down
- 14:20Speaker 7: about three percent.
- 14:22Speaker 2: He's just a liar, and everybody around him is willing
- 14:26Speaker 2: to look you in the face and lie to you.
- 14:28Speaker 2: These are the moments that and the reason why I
- 14:31Speaker 2: want this debate. I want these debates because then you're
- 14:35Speaker 2: going to actually have to deal with this crap. You're
- 14:38Speaker 2: going to actually have to look at him in the face,
- 14:41Speaker 2: Donald Trump, and challenge him with this because you noticed,
- 14:45Speaker 2: like this former economic advisor to Obama, Samsire Timsent, he
- 14:49Speaker 2: knows he's lying, right, he knows it. White House pres
- 14:53Speaker 2: Secretary Jean Pierre another reason why I want this debate.
- 14:56Speaker 2: She was asked about another historic inflation report.
- 15:00Speaker 1: Listen to her.
- 15:01Speaker 2: Try to lie to the American people as well, telling
- 15:03Speaker 2: you everything's great.
- 15:05Speaker 8: Inflation report Actually obviously it was positive for you guys,
- 15:08Speaker 8: but we're still seeing in placed above normal levels despite
- 15:13Speaker 8: everything the administration, and if that is doing, do you
- 15:16Speaker 8: have a sense of when households can expect to see
- 15:19Speaker 8: prices state line.
- 15:21Speaker 6: So look, here's what I can tell you. What we're
- 15:22Speaker 6: going to continue to do is make sure that we
- 15:25Speaker 6: are when it comes to our priority as it relates
- 15:28Speaker 6: to the economy, we want to make sure that we're
- 15:29Speaker 6: fighting inflation and continue to do so.
- 15:31Speaker 1: And so we understand we have a lot more work
- 15:33Speaker 1: to do. We get that, but.
- 15:36Speaker 6: I would state that inflation is down more than sixty percent,
- 15:38Speaker 6: with the lowest core inflation in three years, and grocery
- 15:41Speaker 6: prices fell over the last three months. Wages are up
- 15:44Speaker 6: more than the prices over the last year and since
- 15:46Speaker 6: the pandemic, more than fifteen million jobs created and unemployment
- 15:49Speaker 6: is under four percent and that is the longest stretch
- 15:52Speaker 6: that we have seen in over fifty years. So we
- 15:54Speaker 6: are seeing some progress, some macro economic progress, but we
- 15:58Speaker 6: understand that there are and families that are still struggling.
- 16:01Speaker 6: That's why the President continues to do everything that he
- 16:04Speaker 6: can to lower costs, whether it's insulin at thirty five
- 16:07Speaker 6: bucks for seniors and calling for that to be for
- 16:11Speaker 6: all Americans, and a plan to build two million new homes,
- 16:15Speaker 6: lower childcare costs. This is what the President is trying
- 16:17Speaker 6: to do and has been very clear about his plan
- 16:20Speaker 6: for Americans as it relates to the economy. And again
- 16:24Speaker 6: in contrast to what she Willpe is trying to do
- 16:26Speaker 6: cut Medicare, cut, cut Social Security, cut medicaid.
- 16:30Speaker 1: By the way, all those things are lies.
- 16:32Speaker 2: We're not trying to cut so Security, We're not trying
- 16:34Speaker 2: to cut Medicare, Medicaid. She's just flat out line. But
- 16:38Speaker 2: she just said something there about inflation. She says, we
- 16:42Speaker 2: want to make sure that we're fighting inflation, and she
- 16:44Speaker 2: said that's why we're pushing new spending on entitlement. So
- 16:47Speaker 2: you're going to So the answer from the Biden administration
- 16:49Speaker 2: is because we have inflation, which created because of all
- 16:53Speaker 2: the COVID money that we printed right that we had
- 16:55Speaker 2: to borrow, and then inflation went through the roof because
- 16:59Speaker 2: we were just giving out free money everywhere, even though
- 17:02Speaker 2: it's not actually free.
- 17:03Speaker 1: Now the White House says we're just gonna.
- 17:05Speaker 2: Spend our way into oblivion and somehow that's gonna bring
- 17:10Speaker 2: inflation down because they don't understand how the economy actually works.
- 17:15Speaker 2: Let me go back, by the way to something that
- 17:19Speaker 2: we played here a couple of weeks ago, and it
- 17:22Speaker 2: was a really important point by a major top advisor
- 17:27Speaker 2: to Joe Biden, and and and what he said, in fact,
- 17:31Speaker 2: before I even play him, I want to play for
- 17:34Speaker 2: you Biden. In his own words, Biden says, we need
- 17:37Speaker 2: to quote stay the course on his economy.
- 17:39Speaker 1: Listen to this.
- 17:40Speaker 7: You gotta be steady, stay the course and continue to
- 17:43Speaker 7: produce this concredible job. And the job and by the way,
- 17:48Speaker 7: to pay for the jobs are outpacing the inflation rate
- 17:51Speaker 7: to pain. We're gonna we're gonna be able to deal
- 17:54Speaker 7: with this. It's going to take no more time, but
- 17:55Speaker 7: we're gonna.
- 17:56Speaker 1: Focus on them. So just stay the course.
- 17:58Speaker 2: Right, things are bad, They're not looking good for the
- 18:00Speaker 2: American people, the American worker.
- 18:03Speaker 1: What are you gonna do.
- 18:03Speaker 2: We're gonna just stay the course. So we're gonna stay
- 18:05Speaker 2: the course. Yes, And then what does he do? Yahoo
- 18:08Speaker 2: Finance allows him to put the lie out there again,
- 18:11Speaker 2: the lie that inflation was nine percent when he came in.
- 18:14Speaker 7: I think inflation has gone slightly up this was at
- 18:17Speaker 7: nine percent when I came in and it's now down
- 18:19Speaker 7: around three percent. But the fact is that I think
- 18:23Speaker 7: people are just uncertain.
- 18:25Speaker 1: That's what I mean.
- 18:27Speaker 2: They must sit in a room at the White House
- 18:29Speaker 2: and say, Okay, there's a lot of dumb Americans.
- 18:32Speaker 1: There's a lot of stupid people.
- 18:34Speaker 2: We're gonna make up a number so that it looks
- 18:37Speaker 2: like we actually fought inflation instead of inflation rising under
- 18:42Speaker 2: our watch. And we're just going to go out there
- 18:43Speaker 2: and tell people that inflation was nine percent when we
- 18:46Speaker 2: came into office, and they're gonna believe us.
- 18:49Speaker 1: And then we're going to tell them it's at three percent.
- 18:51Speaker 2: So it's a twofold, you know, reduction and inflation, and
- 18:55Speaker 2: they're gonna somehow think that we're.
- 18:57Speaker 1: Brilliant for this.
- 18:59Speaker 2: Everybody members when Joe Biden became president, and they remember
- 19:03Speaker 2: what they were paying when Donald Trump was the president,
- 19:07Speaker 2: whether it's groceries, whether it's rent, whether it's whether it's
- 19:11Speaker 2: housing prices, whether it's costs of goods and services, whether
- 19:15Speaker 2: it's gas prices, whether it's energy prices. In general, like,
- 19:20Speaker 2: it doesn't matter. People aren't stupid. They understand that it
- 19:24Speaker 2: costs an insane amount of money now to survive in
- 19:29Speaker 2: this country compared to what it used to be. Now,
- 19:33Speaker 2: let me go back to that clip I mentioned a
- 19:34Speaker 2: moment ago. Jared Bernstein is the man at the White House.
- 19:40Speaker 2: Jared Bernstein is a guy that is supposed to be
- 19:43Speaker 2: able to explain everything when it comes to monetary policy,
- 19:47Speaker 2: and he struggled to explain why we don't just print
- 19:52Speaker 2: all of the money the government uses.
- 19:55Speaker 1: He doesn't understand how the economy works.
- 19:58Speaker 2: Now, the the important to these debates is you bring
- 20:02Speaker 2: up the policies which are disaster by this administration. Jared Bernstein,
- 20:07Speaker 2: who's the top advised the president economic policy, struggled to
- 20:11Speaker 2: explain why we don't just print all the money the
- 20:13Speaker 2: government uses, like we need another trillion, just print it.
- 20:17Speaker 2: Who cares listen to this insanity?
- 20:21Speaker 9: The US government can't go bankrupt because we can print
- 20:24Speaker 9: our own money.
- 20:26Speaker 10: It obviously begs the question why exactly are we borrowing
- 20:29Speaker 10: in a currency that we print ourselves. I'm waiting for
- 20:32Speaker 10: someone to stand up and say, why do we borrow
- 20:35Speaker 10: our own currency in the first place?
- 20:39Speaker 11: Like you said, they print the dollar, so why does
- 20:41Speaker 11: the government even borrow?
- 20:43Speaker 9: Well, the uh SO the I mean again, some of
- 20:51Speaker 9: this stuff gets some of the language that them, some
- 20:55Speaker 9: of the language and concepts are just confusing. I mean,
- 20:57Speaker 9: the government definitely prints money, and it definitely lends that money.
- 21:02Speaker 9: Which is why the government definitely prints money, and then
- 21:05Speaker 9: it lends that money by selling bonds. Is that what
- 21:09Speaker 9: they do?
- 21:11Speaker 2: They they.
- 21:13Speaker 9: Yeah, they.
- 21:16Speaker 1: Sell bonds.
- 21:17Speaker 9: Yeah, they sell bonds, right, since they sell bonds and
- 21:19Speaker 9: people buy the bonds and lend them the money.
- 21:21Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 21:22Speaker 9: So a lot of times, a lot of times, at
- 21:25Speaker 9: least to my year with MMT, the language and the
- 21:28Speaker 9: concepts can be kind of unnecessarily confusing, But there is
- 21:31Speaker 9: no question that the government prints money and then it
- 21:34Speaker 9: uses that money to So yeah, I guess I'm just
- 21:44Speaker 9: I don't I can't really talk.
- 21:45Speaker 8: I don't.
- 21:45Speaker 1: I don't get it.
- 21:46Speaker 9: I don't know what they're talking about, like, because it's like,
- 21:50Speaker 9: the government clearly prints money, it does it all the time,
- 21:53Speaker 9: and it clearly borrows Otherwise we wouldn't be having this
- 21:57Speaker 9: debt and definesst conversation. So I don't think there's any
- 22:00Speaker 9: and confusing there.
- 22:02Speaker 1: I'm confused.
- 22:03Speaker 2: This is a basic question asked by somebody, and you're
- 22:06Speaker 2: supposed to be able to answer this because you're the
- 22:08Speaker 2: chair of the Council of Economic Advisors to President Joe Biden.
- 22:12Speaker 2: So when they're telling you that inflation is at nine
- 22:15Speaker 2: percent and it's not, and they go out on TV
- 22:18Speaker 2: and they just continue to tell this lie over and
- 22:20Speaker 2: over and over and over and over again, that it
- 22:23Speaker 2: was at nine percent when he became the president of
- 22:25Speaker 2: the United States of America and he's lying to you.
- 22:28Speaker 2: Everyone needs to be calling this out. And this is
- 22:33Speaker 2: why these debates are going to be so important, right,
- 22:37Speaker 2: it's so important.
- 22:38Speaker 1: Here's something else that just makes me laugh.
- 22:41Speaker 2: MSNBC's Nicole Wallace praises a video of Biden challenging Donald
- 22:47Speaker 2: Trump to a debate.
- 22:48Speaker 1: I mentioned the beginning.
- 22:49Speaker 2: It's like he got his Mojoe back because what he's
- 22:53Speaker 2: going to debate, you know, debating is just part of
- 22:56Speaker 2: becoming the president and running for president, Like this isn't
- 22:59Speaker 2: something you should be in pressing people with. Like the
- 23:03Speaker 2: fact that the standard has become so low, the bar
- 23:05Speaker 2: is so low now for Joe Biden that we have
- 23:08Speaker 2: to praise him for debating tells you just how far
- 23:12Speaker 2: gone we are yet. Listen to the propagandists, the Marxist,
- 23:16Speaker 2: socialists and communists at MSNBC.
- 23:19Speaker 1: Oh chump Well's two.
- 23:20Speaker 7: Debates to me in twenty twenty, de Sound said he
- 23:22Speaker 7: hadn't shown up for debates. Now, exactly what you want
- 23:24Speaker 7: to debate me again?
- 23:25Speaker 1: Well, make my day, pal. I'll even do it twice.
- 23:29Speaker 1: Let's pick the days.
- 23:30Speaker 7: Donald, I hear you're free on Wednesdays.
- 23:34Speaker 12: A picatrol hign everybody, it's five o'guard in New York
- 23:37Speaker 12: and what is already shaping up to be your unconventional
- 23:40Speaker 12: presidential debate season. So this morning that video was released
- 23:45Speaker 12: by President Joe Biden. You can see for yourself. He
- 23:47Speaker 12: came out swinging this trolling of Donald Trump, saying here,
- 23:51Speaker 12: you're free on Wednesdays. He challenged Trump to two presidential
- 23:54Speaker 12: debates while teasing him a bit about his current state
- 23:57Speaker 12: as a criminal Defendant's video was accompanied by a letter
- 24:02Speaker 12: that his campaign sent to the Commission on Presidential Debates
- 24:05Speaker 12: that outlined that he would not be participating in the debates.
- 24:08Speaker 12: Space setup. Among the Biden campaigns reasons for that, they
- 24:12Speaker 12: said the Commission's proposed debates come too late in the process,
- 24:16Speaker 12: that their debates are structured like an entertainment spectacle and
- 24:19Speaker 12: not a serious exchange of ideas, and that the Commission
- 24:22Speaker 12: was quote unable or unwilling to enforce the rules, referencing
- 24:25Speaker 12: Trump's talking over President Joe Biden and moderators in past debates.
- 24:30Speaker 1: Here's it. I love this right.
- 24:32Speaker 2: They call it an epic troll because you have the
- 24:35Speaker 2: President of the United States of America, Joe Biden saying
- 24:38Speaker 2: bring it on, and then saying, I hear you're free
- 24:40Speaker 2: on Wednesdays, mocking the fact that he's in this show
- 24:44Speaker 2: trial in New York City that is trying to put
- 24:47Speaker 2: the president out of the campaign trail, off the campaign
- 24:51Speaker 2: trail that's been successful now for a month, more than
- 24:54Speaker 2: a month, when this whole thing ends, and him mocking
- 24:57Speaker 2: the fact and basically giving the mental finger to Trump
- 25:00Speaker 2: saying like, yeah, hey, look at what we're doing to you, buddy.
- 25:03Speaker 2: You're locked up in court, so bring it on. And
- 25:07Speaker 2: then the media is like, oh my gosh, he's got
- 25:09Speaker 2: his mojo back because he agreed to do something in
- 25:13Speaker 2: politics which is as necessary as a human being having
- 25:18Speaker 2: to use the restroom every day, like debating is part
- 25:22Speaker 2: is just if you're gonna run for president, you have
- 25:25Speaker 2: to debate, like that's how normal it is.
- 25:27Speaker 1: It's not done.
- 25:29Speaker 2: You don't get a high five because as an adult
- 25:32Speaker 2: you go to the restroom.
- 25:34Speaker 1: It's part of life.
- 25:35Speaker 2: Well, being a president running for president, you're going to debate.
- 25:39Speaker 1: It's part of what you sign up for.
- 25:41Speaker 2: And yet they're sitting there and they're acting like this
- 25:44Speaker 2: is some grand feat by him, right the grand feet
- 25:48Speaker 2: go to CNN and David Challen. They're political guru expert guy.
- 25:54Speaker 2: What does he say about CNN hosting the first debate
- 25:57Speaker 2: on June the twenty seventh. Listen to this crap.
- 26:00Speaker 13: I want to bring in seeing in political director David Cholling.
- 26:02Speaker 13: David put into context how big a moment this is
- 26:06Speaker 13: for the campaigns. I have to admit I thought it
- 26:08Speaker 13: was entirely possible there wouldn't be debates.
- 26:11Speaker 11: Yeah, clearly we have seen each campaign Jake make the
- 26:15Speaker 11: calculation a debate is in their interest, for one on
- 26:18Speaker 11: the Biden side, as Jeff just laid out, because you
- 26:20Speaker 11: don't want to be dogged that you're afraid to debate,
- 26:22Speaker 11: and for Donald Trump, he is eager for the contrast
- 26:26Speaker 11: on the stage physically side by side. As we know
- 26:30Speaker 11: throughout this entire campaign.
- 26:31Speaker 1: He's made that clear.
- 26:32Speaker 11: To stand on a stage with Joe Biden, I would
- 26:34Speaker 11: just say, because of the stability of the race, there
- 26:37Speaker 11: really is a potential for this to be a major
- 26:40Speaker 11: shaking up kind of event. It's also got massive historical significance.
- 26:45Speaker 1: Jake.
- 26:45Speaker 11: I mean, you and I were not around for those
- 26:47Speaker 11: televised debates in eighteen ninety two. But we haven't seen
- 26:50Speaker 11: a former president of the United States who was defeated
- 26:54Speaker 11: as president debate the guy who succeeded him as president
- 26:59Speaker 11: on the stage together in a televised debate. It's just
- 27:03Speaker 11: a totally unprecedented situation. So much of this election could
- 27:07Speaker 11: be described that way.
- 27:08Speaker 13: Thank you for acknowledging I was not there for the
- 27:10Speaker 13: Grover Cleveland debate.
- 27:11Speaker 1: I appreciate it.
- 27:12Speaker 13: David Wilson ends debate.
- 27:15Speaker 2: It's amazing, right, I mean, it truly is amazing the
- 27:20Speaker 2: way that they described this.
- 27:21Speaker 1: It's just like, oh, well, you know, they had to
- 27:23Speaker 1: do this.
- 27:24Speaker 2: And it's so great that this is going to happen,
- 27:26Speaker 2: and it was, you know, and he's showing up and
- 27:29Speaker 2: he's just doing amazing things here.
- 27:32Speaker 1: Right.
- 27:32Speaker 2: It's incredible that that Joe Biden is going to debate
- 27:35Speaker 2: Donald Trump, and we're gonna host it here on the
- 27:38Speaker 2: Communist News Network, and it's going to be truly incredible
- 27:42Speaker 2: to see how this plays out. No studio audience, not
- 27:47Speaker 2: going to do debates the way they've normally been done.
- 27:50Speaker 2: But by golly, let's give him just all of this
- 27:54Speaker 2: incredible press acting like he's done some amazing thing show
- 28:00Speaker 2: showing up to debate for a job that you're supposed
- 28:03Speaker 2: to show up to debate. CNN, by the way, when
- 28:08Speaker 2: they announced it, listen to how they did it.
- 28:11Speaker 1: It's hysterical, breaking me in the newsroom.
- 28:15Speaker 4: I'm Will Blitzer in Washington, and we begin with a
- 28:17Speaker 4: major development in the twenty twenty four presidential race here
- 28:21Speaker 4: in the United States. President Joe Biden and Donald Trump
- 28:24Speaker 4: have just accepted CNN's invitation to hold a debate on
- 28:29Speaker 4: June twenty seventh. That's just in a few weeks. That's
- 28:32Speaker 4: months earlier that traditional face offs take place between two
- 28:36Speaker 4: presidential candidates.
- 28:38Speaker 1: The announcement comes.
- 28:39Speaker 4: After a heated back and forth earlier this morning between
- 28:42Speaker 4: the two. The president to challenged Trump to two debates
- 28:46Speaker 4: and then trolled him over his hush money trial.
- 28:48Speaker 1: Listen to this.
- 28:51Speaker 7: Donald Trump lost two debates to me in twenty twenty
- 28:54Speaker 7: Sain Sandy hadn't shown up for debate now exactly like
- 28:56Speaker 7: he wants to debate me again. Will make my day, Pal,
- 29:00Speaker 7: I'll even do it twice. Let's pick the dates. Donald,
- 29:03Speaker 7: I hear you're free on Wednesdays.
- 29:05Speaker 1: I hear you're free on Wednesdays.
- 29:08Speaker 2: I love how they put the trash talking in the
- 29:10Speaker 2: debate while they're supposed to be right, like non bias
- 29:13Speaker 2: for the debate. Right in the debate, you're supposed to
- 29:16Speaker 2: not be a part of the story, not only to
- 29:18Speaker 2: see an announce it, but then they talk trash about
- 29:21Speaker 2: Donald Trump in their announcement, playing the video from Joe
- 29:24Speaker 2: Biden trolling Donald Trump and his court case on Wednesdays.
- 29:29Speaker 2: You think it's going to be fair. No, I'm not
- 29:32Speaker 2: worried though. Donald Trump is going to destroy him in
- 29:36Speaker 2: these debates because of just how bad his policies are,
- 29:39Speaker 2: how bad the economy is, how bad the issues are
- 29:42Speaker 2: with the open border, national security, terrorists coming across the border,
- 29:46Speaker 2: and what he's done to say to Israel, I'm not
- 29:48Speaker 2: helping you anymore. And that's why these debates are going
- 29:52Speaker 2: to be so important, don't forget. Share this podcast please
