- 2:03Speaker 1: morning everybody.
- 2:04Speaker 4: You're listening to the voice, Come on, dig me now
- 2:08Speaker 4: one it only Steve Harley got a radio show. Okay,
- 2:12Speaker 4: here we go today, folks. This is a good one
- 2:15Speaker 4: because today I want to share with you something that
- 2:20Speaker 4: affects every living soul, and that one thing is your attitude.
- 2:28Speaker 1: This affects everyone. It is your attitude.
- 2:33Speaker 5: You know.
- 2:36Speaker 4: I don't know if anyone's ever told you, but I
- 2:39Speaker 4: mean many of you who listen and know this, but
- 2:42Speaker 4: there are a lot of people who don't understand a
- 2:45Speaker 4: positive attitude can bring about a change. A positive attitude
- 2:53Speaker 4: can bring about a change. Well, now here we go
- 2:55Speaker 4: with the nay says, well, Steve, what you mean if
- 2:57Speaker 4: I'm just positive being changed? My mama on what me
- 3:00Speaker 4: being positive got to do with that? Okay, now listen
- 3:03Speaker 4: to me carefully. A positive attitude can bring about change. Well, okay, Steve,
- 3:10Speaker 4: I hear you saying that, But they done fired me.
- 3:13Speaker 4: So now what does my having a positive attitude have
- 3:16Speaker 4: to do with the fact that they fired me? Well,
- 3:20Speaker 4: one more time, A positive attitude can bring about change. Well, Steve,
- 3:28Speaker 4: I set up in here and gave eight nine, twelve
- 3:32Speaker 4: years of my life to this man and he just
- 3:35Speaker 4: he cheated on me and walked out. Now what does
- 3:37Speaker 4: me being positive have to do with him cheating on me?
- 3:41Speaker 4: How that's gonna change that? Okay, here we go again.
- 3:45Speaker 4: A positive attitude can bring about change. Now listen to
- 3:49Speaker 4: the whole thing. Now, the positive attitude and the change
- 3:55Speaker 4: that can happen starts This is the start. It starts
- 4:01Speaker 4: within you. See, life is ten percent. What happens is
- 4:07Speaker 4: ninety percent what you do about what happens. Okay, you
- 4:10Speaker 4: gave twelve years of your life to this man. He
- 4:13Speaker 4: cheated and left you holding the bag, the kids and everything.
- 4:17Speaker 4: Now what does being positive have to do with changing that?
- 4:21Speaker 4: Or they came in and they fired you. You lost
- 4:23Speaker 4: your job that you was a stellar performer at. But now,
- 4:26Speaker 4: how does you having a positive attitude, How does that
- 4:30Speaker 4: change things for you. So far, you can use any example.
- 4:35Speaker 4: Here's what happens when you have a positive attitude. What
- 4:40Speaker 4: it produces within you is a positive approach to life.
- 4:45Speaker 4: And when you have a positive attitude and a positive
- 4:48Speaker 4: approach to life, it causes you to be optimistic, to
- 4:54Speaker 4: have a positive out look, to expect things to eventually
- 5:00Speaker 4: turn around and turn into a positive That's very important
- 5:04Speaker 4: because as the law of attraction comes into play, if
- 5:08Speaker 4: you think positive thoughts, you attract positive things. If you
- 5:15Speaker 4: think evil thoughts, you attract evil to you. You know,
- 5:19Speaker 4: if you want for nothing, then nothing comes your way.
- 5:23Speaker 4: If you want for positive attitude, if you want for
- 5:26Speaker 4: positive results, if you want for a great outcome, that's
- 5:29Speaker 4: what you attract to you. The change will begin within you.
- 5:33Speaker 4: So let's take the man that walked out your life
- 5:36Speaker 4: and left you hold in the bag. Here's a positive attitude. Okay,
- 5:41Speaker 4: two things have happened that's positive.
- 5:43Speaker 1: Here.
- 5:44Speaker 4: Number one, you've rided yourself of someone who is obviously
- 5:48Speaker 4: going to be, if not already been, toxic in your life.
- 5:52Speaker 4: Caused you many restless nights, a lot of uncomfortable feelings
- 5:57Speaker 4: of uneasiness, not sure, insecure play you've been going through
- 6:01Speaker 4: it with this person, whoever they are. Number One, that
- 6:04Speaker 4: person has been released from your life. Number Two, it
- 6:08Speaker 4: allows you now to have the someone who will treat
- 6:12Speaker 4: you just the way you want to be treated. That's
- 6:14Speaker 4: the positive outlook, that's the optimistic way. That's when you're
- 6:19Speaker 4: a positive person. You see the positive in things that
- 6:22Speaker 4: happen to you, instead of burying yourself under the what's
- 6:25Speaker 4: wrong with it? A old woe is me now concept?
- 6:29Speaker 4: See a positive attitude. When they came in there and
- 6:32Speaker 4: they fired you and let you go, could this not
- 6:35Speaker 4: have been just the opening you needed to finally start
- 6:40Speaker 4: on a new career path that you've been talking about
- 6:43Speaker 4: doing anyway? Could it possibly be a brand new chance
- 6:47Speaker 4: for you to get the dream job or dream career
- 6:50Speaker 4: of your choice. Could it not possibly be the perfect
- 6:55Speaker 4: opportunity now for you to finally finally do something about
- 7:00Speaker 4: that gift, about that talent that God gave you, that
- 7:03Speaker 4: thing that you love to do. Could it not be
- 7:06Speaker 4: the perfect time for you to pursue that. But if
- 7:08Speaker 4: you don't have a positive attitude, then you lay there.
- 7:12Speaker 4: Oh they finish, Come get in my house. Oh what
- 7:15Speaker 4: I'm gonna do now? Oh, this unemployment ain't enough. Oh Lord,
- 7:19Speaker 4: when this unemployment run out, what am I gonna do?
- 7:22Speaker 4: Then I won't have nothing? And you old woe is
- 7:25Speaker 4: me until you become old.
- 7:27Speaker 1: Woe is me.
- 7:29Speaker 4: But if you take it from the positive approach, some
- 7:32Speaker 4: amazing things can happen in your life. I will tell
- 7:35Speaker 4: you on a personal note that some of the most
- 7:39Speaker 4: some of the best changes, some of the biggest moments
- 7:42Speaker 4: in my life came after a loss. So I don't
- 7:45Speaker 4: want to go down the list, but boy, I could
- 7:47Speaker 4: tell you. Let me tell you something.
- 7:49Speaker 1: When they didn't want me on the radio anymore in La.
- 7:52Speaker 4: When they didn't when they were it was sick of
- 7:54Speaker 4: the way I did radio out there, and they wanted
- 7:57Speaker 4: me gone. And on May twenty third, two thousand and five,
- 8:03Speaker 4: when my did when when my deal was done with
- 8:09Speaker 4: the beat out in La. Okay, look what happened though. Yeah,
- 8:14Speaker 4: I was gone in May. But in September nineteenth I
- 8:17Speaker 4: started to Steve Harvey Radio Network with four cities, you see.
- 8:22Speaker 4: But I didn't go old woe was me? I said, Oh, okay,
- 8:27Speaker 4: God must have something else from it in because if
- 8:30Speaker 4: he didn't remove me from this, that must be something else,
- 8:33Speaker 4: same thing can happen when you lose and you break
- 8:36Speaker 4: up in a relationship, same thing can happen to you.
- 8:39Speaker 4: You never know the one God God for you. Now
- 8:41Speaker 4: Here you go, Here you go again. Now you get
- 8:44Speaker 4: put into a situation where somebody treat you just the
- 8:46Speaker 4: way you want to be treated, provide you the whole
- 8:49Speaker 4: lot of aspects of your life you knew nothing about
- 8:51Speaker 4: prior to that. But you gotta stay positive. If you
- 8:54Speaker 4: stay positive, that positive attitude, that optimistic outlook, that that
- 9:00Speaker 4: that always thinking God got me no matter what happened
- 9:03Speaker 4: to me, some amazing things that's going will happen in
- 9:07Speaker 4: your life.
- 9:08Speaker 1: It's a fact. I don't know how it works that way.
- 9:11Speaker 1: I just know that's what it is. Positive attitude is everything, y'all.
- 9:15Speaker 4: So get off the old woe is Me negativity train
- 9:17Speaker 4: because it ain't gonna take you nowhere but down and
- 9:20Speaker 4: get your outlook up. If you change your attitude, you
- 9:24Speaker 4: change your altitude. Altitude is determined by your attitude. How
- 9:29Speaker 4: high you go, how big you become, how far you go.
- 9:32Speaker 4: It all depends on how you think. It all depends
- 9:36Speaker 4: on what type of attitude you got. Ain't ain't no
- 9:40Speaker 4: very very successful, super negative people. It just doesn't coincide
- 9:45Speaker 4: the way if you see that something that happened to
- 9:47Speaker 4: them along the way, and don't worry. You ain't gotta
- 9:49Speaker 4: worry about it because you ain't gonna see him long,
- 9:51Speaker 4: because you can't stay up there like that.
- 9:53Speaker 1: It's just too hard, all right. That's the conversation.
- 9:57Speaker 6: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 10:04Speaker 1: Ladies and gentlemen, let's be about it.
- 10:06Speaker 4: Let's get with it. Come on now, it's time to
- 10:08Speaker 4: get it. Steve Harvey Morning Show us what we're talking
- 10:11Speaker 4: about now. So here's the deal. Let me make it
- 10:14Speaker 4: perfectly clear. Gratitude. If you start your day with gratitude,
- 10:19Speaker 4: there is no better way than to say thank you.
- 10:22Speaker 4: Once you introduce gratitude, you have now affected your mental attitude,
- 10:28Speaker 4: and Lord have mercy. Once your attitude is right, it
- 10:31Speaker 4: is in direct correlation to your altitude.
- 10:35Speaker 1: You get them toodes lined up. Boy, you can be something.
- 10:38Speaker 4: You better believe that Sharlie Strawberry believes that Colin Farrell
- 10:42Speaker 4: knows that the Mouth of the South knows that Junior
- 10:45Speaker 4: knows that the legend that is Nephew Tommy in all
- 10:48Speaker 4: darkness knows that and it is do I.
- 10:55Speaker 7: Get sir, let's talk man, because you talking about won't
- 11:00Speaker 7: something out of life?
- 11:00Speaker 5: Man?
- 11:01Speaker 7: It's not sacrificing and discipline to get to where you
- 11:06Speaker 7: want to go?
- 11:06Speaker 8: Is that Dov over hand in hand?
- 11:08Speaker 4: Well, Sacrificing discipline is different, and a lot of people
- 11:13Speaker 4: get them confused, and they think if they're sacrificing, that
- 11:17Speaker 4: they're being disciplined, and some people think if they're being
- 11:20Speaker 4: disciplined they're sacrificing. It's not the case. It's two separate requirements.
- 11:26Speaker 4: Bishop Jakes was talking one day and he said that
- 11:30Speaker 4: when you dream and aspire to something and you look
- 11:34Speaker 4: up at your dreams and aspirations, you're looking through a
- 11:38Speaker 4: glass ceiling. And in order to get to those dreams
- 11:42Speaker 4: and aspirations, you will have to break through the glass ceiling.
- 11:48Speaker 4: In breaking through glass, there's going to be some cuts,
- 11:53Speaker 4: and there's going to be blood shed, and the blood
- 11:57Speaker 4: that you're shedding is usually something that you care about.
- 12:02Speaker 1: That is sacrifice.
- 12:05Speaker 4: Discipline is doing what you have to do even when
- 12:10Speaker 4: you don't want to amen and understanding discipline. It's a
- 12:16Speaker 4: hard lesson to teach your children about discipline. Discipline is
- 12:20Speaker 4: doing what you have to do even when you don't
- 12:23Speaker 4: want to. How many people are listening to this show
- 12:25Speaker 4: this morning getting ready to go to a job that
- 12:29Speaker 4: you may not really want to, but guess what you
- 12:32Speaker 4: know you have to.
- 12:35Speaker 1: That's discipline.
- 12:36Speaker 4: Yeah, I don't want to get these kids ready for
- 12:40Speaker 4: school and fix their lunch and all this here.
- 12:43Speaker 1: I won't do that this morning, but I have to.
- 12:47Speaker 1: That's discipline.
- 12:50Speaker 4: Sacrifice is hard, man, because you don't want to give
- 12:55Speaker 4: up something to get something else. See, people have a
- 12:58Speaker 4: tendency to want to hold on to everything. But it
- 13:02Speaker 4: ain't no room in the clothes fist. There's only room
- 13:05Speaker 4: in the open fist. And when you open a fish,
- 13:07Speaker 4: something can get out. But that's the only way for
- 13:09Speaker 4: mo to get in. And that's the decision. That's the
- 13:12Speaker 4: glass ceiling that you got to bake breakthrough, and that's
- 13:15Speaker 4: the cuts that you got to take, And that's the
- 13:17Speaker 4: sacrifice you have to make. Lord, miss you better ask
- 13:20Speaker 4: this boy something like you like you send it to
- 13:23Speaker 4: me in a text or something. All right, God made
- 13:27Speaker 4: cut me in this life, boy, I know this hell, I.
- 13:30Speaker 1: Ain't got to think about this year.
- 13:32Speaker 6: That's a vibe, right, there, Steve, all right, coming up
- 13:35Speaker 6: at thirty two minutes after the hour. The nephew is
- 13:38Speaker 6: in the building. We can't see him, but he is here.
- 13:40Speaker 6: We promise you he's here. Run that flank back with
- 13:43Speaker 6: the nephew's coming up right after this. You're listening Steve
- 13:47Speaker 6: Harvey Morning Show. You've heard us talk about the benefits
- 13:54Speaker 6: of Globelife insurance. Globe Life has been protecting families for generations.
- 13:59Speaker 6: Glove Life is easy to buy, with rates starting as
- 14:02Speaker 6: low as three dollars and forty nine cents a month.
- 14:05Speaker 6: There is no medical exam, just a simple application called
- 14:09Speaker 6: Globelife Today at one eight hundred two five one fifty
- 14:13Speaker 6: four hundred, or visit Globelife radio dot com again. That's
- 14:17Speaker 6: one eight hundred two five one fifty four hundred or
- 14:20Speaker 6: Globelife radio dot com. It is time now for the
- 14:24Speaker 6: nephew to run that prank back.
- 14:25Speaker 8: What you got for us?
- 14:26Speaker 1: Snaff the doctor's visit? Yes, yes, cat dog, If you could.
- 14:35Speaker 9: Hello Hello, I'm trying to reach a rodic beltan.
- 14:38Speaker 10: Please he's not here.
- 14:39Speaker 11: I take a message.
- 14:41Speaker 9: My name is Mark, ma'am. I'm calling from the clinic.
- 14:44Speaker 9: Doctor Robert goodell music down?
- 14:46Speaker 11: Hold on, I'm sorry, say that again.
- 14:47Speaker 9: Okay, can you hear me?
- 14:48Speaker 11: I can hear you now.
- 14:49Speaker 9: I'm trying to reach Rogers. He's not here, okay. I'm
- 14:53Speaker 9: calling from the clinic, from doctor Robert's office and trying
- 14:57Speaker 9: to get some information to when do you know any
- 15:00Speaker 9: actually be in? No?
- 15:01Speaker 11: Actually I don't. Is everything okay?
- 15:05Speaker 9: Uh? Well, you know everything's fine. I mean nothing. I
- 15:07Speaker 9: can't be handled. But we were trying to actually get
- 15:10Speaker 9: some information to him so that he can actually come
- 15:13Speaker 9: back in for the results.
- 15:15Speaker 11: Okay, well I don't.
- 15:16Speaker 10: I don't know when I can. He's supposed to be
- 15:18Speaker 10: here now, I'm not sure when I can tell you
- 15:22Speaker 10: he's going.
- 15:22Speaker 5: To be back.
- 15:23Speaker 9: I'm sorry I didn't ask you earlier. Man, who am
- 15:26Speaker 9: I actually speaking with?
- 15:27Speaker 10: This is his girlfriend and is Jan Jan?
- 15:31Speaker 9: Okay? So, uh Jan? You don't you say you don't know? Yeah,
- 15:35Speaker 9: you don't have an idea when he'll be back.
- 15:37Speaker 11: No, it's trying to make me kind of get a
- 15:39Speaker 11: little concerned though.
- 15:40Speaker 9: No, no, no, wow, Okay, I'll tell you what. This
- 15:44Speaker 9: is the number that he actually left us to give
- 15:46Speaker 9: him a call on his results, and we're not getting
- 15:49Speaker 9: an answer. I don't have another number on hand. Do
- 15:52Speaker 9: you have any specific time I can actually call back
- 15:54Speaker 9: and maybe I'll get him again.
- 15:57Speaker 11: I'm you're making my stomach is getting nervous.
- 15:59Speaker 10: For now is what is the problem?
- 16:01Speaker 9: Well, actually you know what it is, ma'am. As mister
- 16:04Speaker 9: Rogers came in for UH to take a few tests,
- 16:07Speaker 9: and he took some tests and we actually have the
- 16:09Speaker 9: results in and we'd actually really like for him to
- 16:11Speaker 9: come back.
- 16:11Speaker 11: I don't know anything about Sorry, I didn't mean to
- 16:13Speaker 11: interrupt you, but I don't know anything about any tests.
- 16:16Speaker 11: He hasn't told me anything about going to a clinic
- 16:18Speaker 11: or anything like that. I see, So what kind of
- 16:21Speaker 11: tests are you talking about?
- 16:22Speaker 9: Well, I mean, ma'am, I'm not really not at liberty
- 16:25Speaker 9: to give you any kind of information unless you're actually
- 16:27Speaker 9: on the paperwork. So you know, it's not even something
- 16:29Speaker 9: that I can discuss unless the patient has signed off
- 16:31Speaker 9: that you are the next of ken or the person
- 16:34Speaker 9: that can we can actually give the information to you.
- 16:37Speaker 9: Do you?
- 16:38Speaker 11: I do, And I'm pretty certain, I mean the way
- 16:41Speaker 11: we operate in this house, so I'm pretty certain that
- 16:44Speaker 11: that I'm on the paperwork.
- 16:46Speaker 9: So would you please len pulled up Roger's stuff on
- 16:49Speaker 9: computer here and I'll see what I give me one second, please, sure, okay, okay,
- 16:54Speaker 9: let's see now let me scroll down for next of ken. Okay,
- 16:58Speaker 9: I got a Janis. That is me.
- 17:01Speaker 11: I mean everybody called me jam, but that's me Janis.
- 17:04Speaker 9: Wow.
- 17:05Speaker 10: Okay, tell me your name again.
- 17:06Speaker 11: I'm sorry, what's your name again?
- 17:08Speaker 9: Mark Marc? Like I said, I'm the clerk here at
- 17:10Speaker 9: doctor Robert Bofers, and I guess I am at Liberty
- 17:13Speaker 9: to tell you what's going on? Please do mister Roger
- 17:16Speaker 9: came in and took some STD test STV, yes, And
- 17:21Speaker 9: I guess at this point I should just maybe both
- 17:24Speaker 9: of you guys who come in and wait, wait a minute,
- 17:27Speaker 9: wait everybody and everybody wait a minute.
- 17:29Speaker 11: No no, no, no, no, no no. I need you
- 17:31Speaker 11: to finish with you with.
- 17:32Speaker 9: Just saying well, no, that's what I'm saying.
- 17:33Speaker 10: Man.
- 17:34Speaker 9: What has happened is he's been diagnosed with as well as.
- 17:40Speaker 11: You got to be kidding me.
- 17:41Speaker 10: You have got to be kidding me. Okay, I'm not
- 17:45Speaker 10: hearing this.
- 17:48Speaker 11: What that means?
- 17:49Speaker 10: Do you understand that he lived in my household? Do
- 17:52Speaker 10: you understand that that means that he has.
- 17:54Speaker 11: Been dipping somewhere else because I have been not doing
- 17:58Speaker 11: anything that would even come close to bringing something to.
- 18:01Speaker 10: Him like that. So it's how parents that this man
- 18:04Speaker 10: has been outside of my household and do it when
- 18:06Speaker 10: he has no business doing it and bring it back in.
- 18:08Speaker 9: Man, I'm not at liberty and making any accusations like that.
- 18:12Speaker 9: I cannot say anything like that. All I can say
- 18:14Speaker 9: is I'd like for both of you. You know, it'd
- 18:16Speaker 9: be good for both of you guys to come in. No. No, then,
- 18:18Speaker 9: well tell you though this is something treatable, it is curable.
- 18:22Speaker 11: I do care about it being treatable or curable. What
- 18:25Speaker 11: I care about is the fact that he apparently had
- 18:28Speaker 11: been somewhere with some trick and brought something back home
- 18:31Speaker 11: to my household. That's what I care about.
- 18:34Speaker 9: I do understand that, missus Danis. I do, but you
- 18:37Speaker 9: have to understand my position on what I'm trying to do.
- 18:39Speaker 9: I'm just reaching out and well.
- 18:41Speaker 10: Listen, you happen to call my household, you just have
- 18:43Speaker 10: to have to be on the on the other side
- 18:46Speaker 10: of it. I'm sorry you're.
- 18:47Speaker 11: Getting most of it, but I tell you what what
- 18:49Speaker 11: you need to do is you need to make him
- 18:51Speaker 11: an appointment and I will meet him there.
- 18:53Speaker 3: He will be when sleeping.
- 18:56Speaker 9: Wait a minute, Wait a minute, I'm sorry.
- 18:57Speaker 11: You need to make him an appointment to come at
- 19:00Speaker 11: to take a look at these results you're talking about.
- 19:02Speaker 11: And guess who will show up at the door before
- 19:04Speaker 11: he gets there.
- 19:05Speaker 9: Me, that's a sinsion to beat. I mean, since you're
- 19:07Speaker 9: the next willn't be better for you just to tell
- 19:10Speaker 9: him what's going on?

- 22:25Speaker 6: husband and I decided to spice up our sex life
- 22:28Speaker 6: after being married for almost twenty years. Back in the day,
- 22:32Speaker 6: we'd have sex anywhere, so he had a brilliant idea
- 22:36Speaker 6: to have sex in the backseat of our car in
- 22:39Speaker 6: the parking lot of a best Buy. The sneaking part
- 22:43Speaker 6: was fun and we were almost done when someone yelled
- 22:46Speaker 6: on the knocked on the window and it was a
- 22:50Speaker 6: parking lot security guard. He yelled, hey, you can't do
- 22:54Speaker 6: that here. The security guard is my son's friend. What
- 22:59Speaker 6: you recognized me? And tells our son, how do we
- 23:02Speaker 6: explain this?
- 23:05Speaker 1: Whoa, that's what you're worried about? Well, yeah, I mean
- 23:11Speaker 1: it was with your husband.
- 23:12Speaker 4: Your problem would be if that wasn't your husband, you
- 23:17Speaker 4: can always say boy, you know good? Hell, well, we
- 23:19Speaker 4: wasn't doing nothing in that damn parking lot. I had
- 23:22Speaker 4: dropped the French fry down in the crack of that
- 23:25Speaker 4: seat and was trying to get down there there and
- 23:27Speaker 4: get that thing. That's all that was damn french fry,
- 23:31Speaker 4: and I still well, I found I found french fry
- 23:33Speaker 4: from last summer and there just say that, you know,
- 23:35Speaker 4: you ain't gotta worry about that oa.
- 23:38Speaker 6: But she was naked though, Okay, Mama, it was almost well, I.
- 23:46Speaker 4: Got hot, you know, I was trying to find it
- 23:49Speaker 4: French fry. He got hot as hell in there because
- 23:51Speaker 4: it took me so long to find the damn French fry.
- 23:55Speaker 1: So I just took what was daddy doing?
- 24:00Speaker 6: He was knacka too looking.
- 24:02Speaker 1: You know how your daddy is.
- 24:06Speaker 12: All right?
- 24:06Speaker 6: Moving on, Ronnie in North Carolina. I'm not using my
- 24:10Speaker 6: real name because I would be in a world of
- 24:12Speaker 6: trouble if my friend finds out I'm messing with his
- 24:15Speaker 6: oldest daughter. For the record, she's thirty six and fine.
- 24:19Speaker 6: I'm only forty two and my friend is much older
- 24:22Speaker 6: than me, so it's not like I'm a dirty old man.
- 24:25Speaker 6: I have a real attraction to his daughter, and sex
- 24:28Speaker 6: is the best because we've known each other for so long.
- 24:32Speaker 6: She's ready to be honest with her dad, but I
- 24:34Speaker 6: need more time.
- 24:36Speaker 12: How do I tell my friend this?
- 24:38Speaker 4: You're gonna get your dog, boy? Yeah, this ain't done,
- 24:43Speaker 4: but just swipping on the horizon.
- 24:47Speaker 1: The future, you know, but they're in lot see see.
- 24:52Speaker 4: She wants to be honest. Well, you know, now, okay,
- 24:58Speaker 4: let's let's do a little bit of math thirty six.
- 25:01Speaker 4: Let's assume he's fifty six. Let's say she had him
- 25:05Speaker 4: he was followed a twenty dad, let's say eighteen. Let's
- 25:08Speaker 4: say he's fifty four, you forty two, the girl thirty six.
- 25:12Speaker 4: He ain't gonna handle it, right, man, He just ain't.
- 25:18Speaker 6: Because he doesn't want his friend.
- 25:21Speaker 4: Yeah, and the friendship, well, you know, being uh being honest,
- 25:26Speaker 4: and now I'll come He keep telling y'all, where is this?
- 25:29Speaker 4: Honesty is the best policy? Where they keep coming from?
- 25:34Speaker 4: How many times if I told y'all about that?
- 25:38Speaker 3: Why don't see why?
- 25:41Speaker 4: I keep proving this to y'all over and open and
- 25:44Speaker 4: open honesty is not the best policy. I'm a proponent
- 25:49Speaker 4: of this. Don't don't do this? So they should just
- 25:53Speaker 4: cad is with you to your grade.
- 25:56Speaker 6: Yes, huh, what if it turns into something? I mean,
- 25:59Speaker 6: it's turned into something.
- 26:01Speaker 1: It's all.
- 26:04Speaker 6: Turned into what a real relationship?
- 26:09Speaker 1: That ain't saying? Is he said just the best sex?
- 26:12Speaker 1: That's all he's said.
- 26:13Speaker 6: That is he said he has a real attraction to her,
- 26:16Speaker 6: and she wants to tell him.
- 26:18Speaker 1: A real attraction.
- 26:23Speaker 4: Huh, do you know how many real attractions listen to
- 26:28Speaker 4: this y'all and all of y'all know this is true.
- 26:32Speaker 4: Do you know how many real attractions you got to
- 26:34Speaker 4: keep to yourself?
- 26:39Speaker 13: Oh?
- 26:39Speaker 6: Yeah, that's where the line stuff comes in. Okay, okay, yeah.
- 26:52Speaker 6: Why you're looking like you're.
- 26:54Speaker 1: Disappointed in the team. I don't even I don't know what.
- 26:59Speaker 1: Is this a discussion? Which he's just as obvious. Yeah,
- 27:04Speaker 1: all right, come in the room. You got to leave,
- 27:08Speaker 1: you know what I mean, get out of it.
- 27:16Speaker 6: In Birmingham, we've moved on. Steve says, I've been driving
- 27:19Speaker 6: trucks for ten years and I'm ready for a career change.
- 27:23Speaker 6: I am trying to lose weight and stop smoking, but
- 27:26Speaker 6: it's hard. The reason I want a lifestyle change is
- 27:28Speaker 6: because I met a special lady recently and I want
- 27:31Speaker 6: to see her more. She says. She gets lonely when
- 27:34Speaker 6: I'm away, so it causes her to date other men.
- 27:38Speaker 6: She said, if I'm home, she will be all about me.
- 27:41Speaker 6: My kids said, I'm falling for a garden tool, and
- 27:45Speaker 6: they told me to get advice from uncle Steve the
- 27:48Speaker 6: Colo before she breaks my heart. Is she worth my
- 27:51Speaker 6: time or not?
- 27:52Speaker 1: Clo Well, sure, did he give an age?
- 27:57Speaker 6: No, but he's been driving trucks for ten years.
- 28:00Speaker 4: Can you've been driving trucks? Your name is Big Daddy.
- 28:04Speaker 4: You trying to lose weight? Yeah, you trying to lose
- 28:08Speaker 4: weight because you got this girl you like, and stop
- 28:13Speaker 4: smoking because you got this girl just like and you
- 28:15Speaker 4: and when you away, she says she misses you and
- 28:18Speaker 4: it causes her to date other men. And if you
- 28:22Speaker 4: was around all the time, she could be about you.
- 28:25Speaker 4: You want to get in a relationship with a person
- 28:27Speaker 4: like this, because see this, if you were here, I
- 28:32Speaker 4: could be all about you, could be you for right now.
- 28:36Speaker 4: You driving off too many times? It could work his
- 28:39Speaker 4: way into just hell, where you went to the store.
- 28:43Speaker 1: I was sitting here, so I wanted to date.
- 28:46Speaker 4: It took her down to that store and it took
- 28:48Speaker 4: forty minutes. Hell, he was just sitting on the porch talking.
- 28:54Speaker 6: So I entertained a gentleman.
- 28:59Speaker 1: I don't know, man, I don't know.
- 29:00Speaker 4: I would lose weight and quit smoking so I could
- 29:03Speaker 4: be health to meet the chicken my dreams.

- 41:37Speaker 6: socially awkward than kids with younger fathers.
- 41:41Speaker 12: All right, so here's the question.
- 41:44Speaker 6: Uh, did you guys have parents that were much older
- 41:47Speaker 6: than your friend's parents?

- 42:51Speaker 6: So oh okay, So do you think age matters when
- 42:55Speaker 6: it comes to parenting?
- 42:56Speaker 1: Then hell? Yeah, yeah, you ain't about what you're gonna

- 43:11Speaker 14: to each the older parents they're much older.
- 43:14Speaker 6: So the millennials and younger want to talk about tech stuff.
- 43:17Speaker 1: And oh yeah, but I give you the example. Okay,
- 43:22Speaker 1: I don't care for I love the grandkids. When they

- 43:31Speaker 1: up on me, kiss me on the cheek. I love
- 43:32Speaker 1: that man, and then get out of here.
- 43:35Speaker 6: But wait a minute, Steve. Okay, that would work if
- 43:38Speaker 6: you were a much older grandparent, but you're a normal
- 43:41Speaker 6: age for a grant. You don't want What are you
- 43:44Speaker 6: talking about?

- 44:11Speaker 14: one time?
- 44:11Speaker 1: Won't wow?
- 44:13Speaker 6: And then you have you have a favorite and everyone
- 44:16Speaker 6: knows and you make favorite? Yes, and all the other
- 44:20Speaker 6: grandkids know that, oh.
- 44:21Speaker 1: They know, they know how to go, an't even lying

- 48:03Speaker 10: and a half ago, proud, happy, black owned, women owned,
- 48:07Speaker 10: women owned establishment. What can I do for you?
- 48:10Speaker 5: Okay, here's the dep I'm sick and tired of my
- 48:13Speaker 5: wife coming up there and then when she get back home,
- 48:15Speaker 5: she got these thick ass eyelashes on and they long
- 48:19Speaker 5: as hell, you know, I mean, it's these eyelashes thicking
- 48:22Speaker 5: on somebody's mustache.
- 48:23Speaker 1: It's a shame. You know, I have told her to
- 48:26Speaker 1: take that.
- 48:28Speaker 10: Hold up, Brian. Now, I may or may not be
- 48:31Speaker 10: the person doing it, but whoever, I'm pretty sure probably
- 48:34Speaker 10: that sounds familiar. But whoever, we have a lot of customers.
- 48:37Speaker 10: But whoever comes in here. They picked their lashes. We
- 48:40Speaker 10: we you know, we collaborate. But the girls are saying
- 48:43Speaker 10: what they want done. They pick it. So if they're thick,
- 48:46Speaker 10: they're sick because they want them thick.
- 48:48Speaker 5: Okay, well these are two they too thick and then
- 48:51Speaker 5: and they too long. Your eyelasses ain't supposed to be

- 49:24Speaker 5: up there and raise holy hell at that place.
- 49:26Speaker 1: I'm telling you the truth about that.
- 49:29Speaker 10: You know, what are you talking about? Why you're threatening me?
- 49:32Speaker 10: You are not coming up here.

- 49:51Speaker 5: with my marriage is he think as I lasted and
- 49:54Speaker 5: they too long.
- 49:54Speaker 10: That's the Why are you? Why are you calling me
- 49:57Speaker 10: with this? See now I'm yelling because.
- 49:59Speaker 5: I'm calling because this is where she got her eyelasses done.
- 50:02Speaker 10: Oh my god, Oh my god. Then you need to
- 50:05Speaker 10: talk to your wife. Okay, I need to calm down.
- 50:08Speaker 10: I'm running a business here. What you're trying to do
- 50:10Speaker 10: sabotage me? What you work for the comps?
- 50:12Speaker 1: Are you trying to sabotage now?
- 50:13Speaker 5: But I'll tell you what if you come home with
- 50:15Speaker 5: these long thickets as our lads again, I'm gonna come

- 50:58Speaker 10: gonna call the cops on you and you will not
- 51:00Speaker 10: be able to come here and we will not let
- 51:02Speaker 10: you get her. Her eyelashes on. And you need to
- 51:05Speaker 10: fix your marriage because you got some anger issues. Clearly
- 51:08Speaker 10: you pissed off at your wife and you're calling us,
- 51:10Speaker 10: threatening to ruin our business. Why what is your wife's name?
- 51:14Speaker 1: My wife name is? My wife name is Jamie?

- 51:34Speaker 1: Okay, I ain't got no anger issue.
- 51:35Speaker 5: The only problem, my god, is my wife having some long,

- 51:41Speaker 5: thicking into somebody's muchstair.
- 51:42Speaker 1: That's what I got a problem with.

- 51:56Speaker 1: eyelashes on? Why would not?
- 51:57Speaker 10: Well, first of all, you need to talk to Jamie
- 52:00Speaker 10: and send her up here. We're gonna tell her that

- 56:49Speaker 6: Thank you, nephew. Subject. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
- 56:53Speaker 6: Dear Stephen Shirley, I'm a fifty two year old married
- 56:56Speaker 6: woman and I've been married for twenty one years and
- 56:59Speaker 6: we have three teenagers at home. I'm working from home now,
- 57:03Speaker 6: so I'm able to cook for the kids and be
- 57:05Speaker 6: a bit more hands on. I also have more time
- 57:08Speaker 6: to see how ignorant my husband really is. He is
- 57:13Speaker 6: a cheater and a very bad one. He's been busted
- 57:17Speaker 6: several times, and I've overlooked it because I don't want
- 57:20Speaker 6: to break up a happy home. My father is a
- 57:23Speaker 6: big influencer in my life. He was a pastor for
- 57:26Speaker 6: most of my life, and when he cheated on my mother,
- 57:29Speaker 6: he got excommunicated from the church. I know I should
- 57:33Speaker 6: not be getting marital advice from him, but he's a
- 57:36Speaker 6: wise man, so I'd rather listen to him than a therapist.
- 57:40Speaker 6: He's always told me to keep to myself and not
- 57:44Speaker 6: to look for things, and I will have a long
- 57:46Speaker 6: and happy marriage. Being in the house ninety percent of
- 57:49Speaker 6: the time shields me from anything my husband might be
- 57:52Speaker 6: doing in the streets. That's why I call him ignorant
- 57:56Speaker 6: all the time. He can't even cover his tracks like
- 57:59Speaker 6: a seasoned womanizers would. I've seen inappropriate emails to his
- 58:04Speaker 6: female manager, and I've seen text messages and breastpicks on
- 58:08Speaker 6: his phone from random women. That's his thing. He always
- 58:12Speaker 6: gets several breast picks from the women he's sleeping with.
- 58:15Speaker 6: It can be two or three at a time for
- 58:18Speaker 6: all I care. But there's no way I should know
- 58:21Speaker 6: what he's up to. Women and my family disagree with
- 58:24Speaker 6: me all the time and try to tell me things
- 58:26Speaker 6: about my husband. I ask them politely to stop gossiping
- 58:30Speaker 6: with me, because I'm not leaving this man. My dad
- 58:35Speaker 6: came over the other night and confirmed what I believe.
- 58:38Speaker 6: He said, if it ain't broke, don't fix it. My
- 58:41Speaker 6: man still makes me feel like I am the only
- 58:44Speaker 6: woman for him despite what he does behind my back.
- 58:47Speaker 6: Am I a fool for letting the slide? Or do
- 58:50Speaker 6: I destroy my family and leave him? What a confusing
- 58:55Speaker 6: situation you're in, and try to get us in but
- 59:00Speaker 6: see if we can help you. I think the first
- 59:01Speaker 6: thing you need to do is stop listening to your daddy.
- 59:05Speaker 6: That's what I think, because remember, he cheated too. He
- 59:09Speaker 6: got kicked out of the church for it. What he's
- 59:11Speaker 6: telling you to do is what he would have wanted
- 59:14Speaker 6: his wife and your mother to.
- 59:16Speaker 1: Do so he could keep doing what he was doing, cheating.
- 59:19Speaker 6: That way, he could cheat and keep his pastor's job
- 59:22Speaker 6: at the same time. So please tell him thank you,
- 59:25Speaker 6: but no, thank you. I'm good, daddy, I'm good.
- 59:28Speaker 1: I know this is hurting you. It's confusing you.
- 59:31Speaker 6: Your dad's asking you to turn a blind eye to
- 59:33Speaker 6: your husband's infidelity. You're not happy, and even though you
- 59:37Speaker 6: say you have a happy home, it's not happy in
- 59:40Speaker 6: your home. You're miserable. They all know about your husband,
- 59:45Speaker 6: Your family. You've sacrificed your happiness for twenty one years
- 59:49Speaker 6: listening to your dad's crazy advice. I mean it's time
- 59:53Speaker 6: you make some decisions for your own, on your own
- 59:57Speaker 6: about your own life. Okay, tell your husband you're no
- 1:00:02Speaker 6: longer going to put up with going. You know, all
- 1:00:05Speaker 6: this goings on that he has, this is crap that
- 1:00:07Speaker 6: he's giving you. You said you're not leaving him.
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: Are you sure?
- 1:00:10Speaker 6: You said you're not leaving him in spite of everything
- 1:00:13Speaker 6: that you've seen and that he's done. But you know
- 1:00:16Speaker 6: you don't have to take this from him.
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: I hope. Yes.
- 1:00:19Speaker 6: Your marriage is very broken and it does need fixing.
- 1:00:23Speaker 6: So if you really want to stay in it, since
- 1:00:25Speaker 6: you said you're not leaving, it's time to let your
- 1:00:27Speaker 6: husband know that he better straighten up or he's got
- 1:00:30Speaker 6: to go.
- 1:00:31Speaker 4: Simple as that, Steve, I don't know how we help
- 1:00:35Speaker 4: a person that don't well help. Yeah, lady, why did
- 1:00:40Speaker 4: you even write us? I mean, you know you said
- 1:00:44Speaker 4: in the letter. Here's a line that sticks out for me.
- 1:00:47Speaker 4: Women in my family disagree with me all the time
- 1:00:51Speaker 4: and then try to tell me things about my husband.
- 1:00:54Speaker 4: I ask them politely to stop gossiping with me because
- 1:01:00Speaker 4: I'm not leaving this man. Okay, so what you wants
- 1:01:04Speaker 4: to do, you ain't leaving. Stay there, stay there, stay there,
- 1:01:11Speaker 4: and quick complaining. That's all you got to do. Now,
- 1:01:17Speaker 4: seem to me like in this letter you need.
- 1:01:18Speaker 16: To learn how to lap it, lick it and like it.
- 1:01:25Speaker 16: Three ls, lap it, lick it and like it.
- 1:01:32Speaker 4: That's what it seems to me like, because you don't.
- 1:01:36Speaker 4: You're not leaving this man, all right, But now let
- 1:01:42Speaker 4: me tell you, let me get you to this point.
- 1:01:46Speaker 4: You're fifty two, you've been married twenty one, you got
- 1:01:48Speaker 4: three teenagers at home, and now you have more time
- 1:01:51Speaker 4: to spend at home, so you can be a bit
- 1:01:54Speaker 4: more hands on because you work from home now.
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: And now you want to say.
- 1:01:59Speaker 4: Your husband and our only time to see how ignorant
- 1:02:02Speaker 4: my husband really is. So you're married to an ignorant man. Okay,
- 1:02:07Speaker 4: he's a cheater and a very bad one. Now you're
- 1:02:09Speaker 4: married to an ignorant man. That's a cheater. You've busted
- 1:02:14Speaker 4: him several times, and I've overlooked it because I don't
- 1:02:19Speaker 4: want to break up a happy home. Who happy in
- 1:02:23Speaker 4: the home? No, I mean the kids might be cool
- 1:02:29Speaker 4: because they don't know. He's certainly cool because he can
- 1:02:34Speaker 4: get busted and you overlook it.
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: So I'm not sure that if he's.
- 1:02:40Speaker 4: Getting busted and you're overlooking it, if he's ignorant, or
- 1:02:44Speaker 4: he realized he can do what he want to do
- 1:02:46Speaker 4: because you ain't gonna do nothing. So I'm not really
- 1:02:49Speaker 4: sure that he's ignorant. I just think he realized you
- 1:02:53Speaker 4: ain't gonna do nothing. When I come back, I'll straightened
- 1:02:56Speaker 4: it out. They ain't gonna be able to help you, though,
- 1:02:58Speaker 4: but I will talk to you.
- 1:03:00Speaker 5: All right.
- 1:03:01Speaker 6: Thank you, Steve. Coming up part two of Steve Strawberry
- 1:03:04Speaker 6: letter response at twenty three minutes after the hour. The
- 1:03:06Speaker 6: subject is, if it ain't broke, don't fix it. We'll
- 1:03:10Speaker 6: get back into it right after this. You're listening Steve
- 1:03:14Speaker 6: Harvey Morning Show. You've heard us talk about the benefits
- 1:03:21Speaker 6: of Globe Life insurance. Globe Life has been protecting families
- 1:03:24Speaker 6: for generations. Globe Life is easy to buy, with rates
- 1:03:28Speaker 6: starting as low as three dollars and forty nine cents
- 1:03:31Speaker 6: a month. There is no medical exam, just a simple application.
- 1:03:36Speaker 6: Call Globe Life today at one eight hundred two five
- 1:03:39Speaker 6: one fifty four hundred or visit globelife radio dot com again.
- 1:03:43Speaker 6: That's one eight hundred two five one fifty four hundred
- 1:03:47Speaker 6: or globelifradio dot com. All right, come on, Steve, let's
- 1:03:51Speaker 6: recap today's crazy strawberry letter. The subject if it ain't broke,
- 1:03:54Speaker 6: don't fix it.
- 1:03:56Speaker 4: This is the dumbest letter we've had in a while.
- 1:03:59Speaker 4: This is your he's dumb. I'm fifty two, been married
- 1:04:03Speaker 4: twenty one years, three teen years at home. You work
- 1:04:05Speaker 4: for home now, so you spend a lot of more time.
- 1:04:07Speaker 4: You're a lot more home or you're a lot more
- 1:04:09Speaker 4: hands on now, and you've also had time to see
- 1:04:12Speaker 4: how ignorant your husband really is.
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: Now.
- 1:04:14Speaker 4: This is why you say he's ignorant. He's a cheater
- 1:04:17Speaker 4: and a very bad one. Okay, Then you say he's
- 1:04:20Speaker 4: been busting several times, and I've overlooked it because I
- 1:04:23Speaker 4: don't want to break up a happy home.
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: You don't want to break up home for who?
- 1:04:29Speaker 4: Because if you happy in that type of situation, there's
- 1:04:33Speaker 4: nothing men Shirley can do for you. My father is
- 1:04:36Speaker 4: a big influencer in my life. He was a pastor
- 1:04:39Speaker 4: for most of my life. When he cheated on my mother,
- 1:04:42Speaker 4: and he got excommunicated from the church. I know I
- 1:04:46Speaker 4: should not be getting marriedteral advice from him, but he's
- 1:04:49Speaker 4: a wise man, so I'd rather listen to him than
- 1:04:52Speaker 4: a therapist. You make the most contradictory statements throughout your
- 1:04:57Speaker 4: damn ladder. You live with the man who's ignorant and
- 1:05:01Speaker 4: a bad cheater, and you overlook it because you don't
- 1:05:04Speaker 4: want to break up a happy home. Your father got
- 1:05:08Speaker 4: excommunicated for cheating on your mama, and I know I
- 1:05:11Speaker 4: should not be getting male tell advice from him, but
- 1:05:15Speaker 4: he's a.
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: Wise man, so I'd rather listen to him.
- 1:05:18Speaker 8: Than a therapist.
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: Okay, okay, lady. And now this is what his father said.
- 1:05:25Speaker 4: He's always told me to keep to myself and not
- 1:05:28Speaker 4: look for things, and I will have a long and
- 1:05:31Speaker 4: happy marriage.
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: What kind of father is this?
- 1:05:35Speaker 3: Listen to me.
- 1:05:37Speaker 4: He's wise, but not to your benefit. He has give
- 1:05:42Speaker 4: you the wisdom of a cheater. He's not giving you
- 1:05:48Speaker 4: the wisdom you need as the person who's being cheated on.
- 1:05:52Speaker 4: And I'm stunned that this is coming from your father.
- 1:05:55Speaker 4: How old and backwards ass is he thinking?
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: And this is who you'd rather talk to than a therapist.
- 1:06:01Speaker 4: A lady, come on now, and you fifty two what
- 1:06:07Speaker 4: you're talking to his old ass fault this all ass cheating,
- 1:06:14Speaker 4: with this all ass advice you've dealt daddy old enough
- 1:06:21Speaker 4: to have written him. Why are you listening to him?
- 1:06:28Speaker 4: Shut up, keep your mouth closed, Let your man cheat.
- 1:06:33Speaker 4: Head there, gold you shut up, keep your mouth closed.
- 1:06:38Speaker 4: Let your man keep cheating on. I said, shut up
- 1:06:42Speaker 4: and keep your mouth closed, and let your man keep
- 1:06:45Speaker 4: cheating on. Let him cheat, let him cheat, cheat on you,
- 1:06:51Speaker 4: and keep.
- 1:06:51Speaker 1: Your mouth closed. So you have a happy home now.
- 1:06:55Speaker 4: Being in the house ninety percent of the time, it
- 1:06:58Speaker 4: shiels me from anything my husband might be doing in
- 1:07:00Speaker 4: the streets. No, it don't, lady. That's why I call
- 1:07:03Speaker 4: him ignorant all the time. He can't even cover his
- 1:07:06Speaker 4: track like a seasoned womanizer wood. I've seen inappropriate emails
- 1:07:11Speaker 4: to his female manager. I've seen text messages and breastpicks
- 1:07:15Speaker 4: on his phone from random women. Why he need a
- 1:07:21Speaker 4: pass code because if you see it, you've already said
- 1:07:25Speaker 4: you gonna overlook it. And in a minute in the letter,
- 1:07:28Speaker 4: you're finna tell us you ain't finna leave him. So
- 1:07:31Speaker 4: how ignorant is he he doing? It because he know
- 1:07:34Speaker 4: you ain't gonna do nothing. That's his thing. He always
- 1:07:38Speaker 4: gets several breast picks from the women he's sleeping with.
- 1:07:42Speaker 4: You're typing this from your happy home. It can be
- 1:07:50Speaker 4: two or three out of time for all I care.
- 1:07:53Speaker 4: But there's no way I should know what he's up to.
- 1:07:57Speaker 4: It's okay that you know what he's up to because
- 1:08:00Speaker 4: you're not going to do anything about it for two reasons,
- 1:08:04Speaker 4: cause you don't want to upset your happy home, and
- 1:08:07Speaker 4: your daddy told you to stop looking for stuff. Women
- 1:08:11Speaker 4: in my family disagree with me all the time and
- 1:08:14Speaker 4: they try to tell me things about my husband. I
- 1:08:16Speaker 4: ask them politely stop gossiping with me because I am
- 1:08:19Speaker 4: not leaving this man. Okay, now, nah, I got a
- 1:08:23Speaker 4: clear picture of it. You think your husband is a
- 1:08:26Speaker 4: he ignorant because he cheats. He's been busting several times,
- 1:08:31Speaker 4: and you keep overlooking it. Your dad didn't told you
- 1:08:34Speaker 4: to stop looking through for stuff, but you find stuff anyway.
- 1:08:39Speaker 1: Female relatives and told you to leave him.
- 1:08:41Speaker 4: You've told him to stop gossiping about you and him
- 1:08:44Speaker 4: because you're not leaving this man. My dad came over
- 1:08:50Speaker 4: the other night. Now here come this old fool. Your
- 1:08:54Speaker 4: dad came over the other night and confirmed what I believe.
- 1:08:59Speaker 1: He said. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
- 1:09:03Speaker 4: My man still makes me feel like I'm the only
- 1:09:05Speaker 4: woman for him despite what he does behind my back.
- 1:09:09Speaker 4: Am I food for letting this slide? Or do I
- 1:09:12Speaker 4: destroy my family and leave him? Lady, listen to me.
- 1:09:17Speaker 4: This man makes you feel like you're the only woman
- 1:09:19Speaker 4: for him. You may he may make you feel like
- 1:09:24Speaker 4: you're the only woman for him, but you ain't the
- 1:09:26Speaker 4: only woman with him. Now. If you done signed up
- 1:09:30Speaker 4: for this open marriage that you're in and don't know it,
- 1:09:34Speaker 4: I'd like to introduce.
- 1:09:35Speaker 9: You to it.
- 1:09:36Speaker 4: You are in an open marriage, id open and as
- 1:09:40Speaker 4: far as your daddy goes, Listen to me. Man, Please
- 1:09:44Speaker 4: don't advise your daughters based on advise your daughter's based
- 1:09:47Speaker 4: on mistakes you've made, and let them learn from mistakes
- 1:09:50Speaker 4: you've made. Do not make your daughters relive a mistakes
- 1:09:54Speaker 4: so you can be cleared as a cheater.
- 1:09:56Speaker 1: That's the most ignorant mess I've ever heard. This stupid
- 1:10:00Speaker 1: Thank you, Steve.

- 1:10:47Speaker 6: All right, guys, there's a new study out and researchers
- 1:10:50Speaker 6: have identified a strong sign of lying is mimicking the
- 1:10:54Speaker 6: body language of the person they're lying too, a liar
- 1:10:58Speaker 6: and a copycat of a new study now published in
- 1:11:02Speaker 6: the Royal Society's Open Science Journal could later lead to
- 1:11:06Speaker 6: applic applications of the theory and criminal justice. Wow, So, Steve,
- 1:11:12Speaker 6: Tommy and Jr. What's your physical tell when you're lying? I?
- 1:11:18Speaker 3: Can you not?
- 1:11:19Speaker 9: Yeah?
- 1:11:19Speaker 3: Can you not?
- 1:11:19Speaker 5: Look?
- 1:11:20Speaker 1: Why would we sit here and tell that?
- 1:11:21Speaker 5: Right then?
- 1:11:22Speaker 1: Why would we do that?
- 1:11:23Speaker 9: We know?
- 1:11:24Speaker 1: I ain't got no tail. I lie to you in
- 1:11:30Speaker 1: your face. I ain't no tail my lines.
- 1:11:35Speaker 4: You can't ever bust me on the original line. You
- 1:11:39Speaker 4: can go days and do some fact checking and come
- 1:11:41Speaker 4: up with the truth. But the moment I'm telling.
- 1:11:44Speaker 3: The line.
- 1:11:47Speaker 6: Very very convincing.
- 1:11:49Speaker 3: Girl.
- 1:11:49Speaker 1: What what tale? Right now?
- 1:11:56Speaker 6: What color is your shirt?
- 1:12:01Speaker 3: What is it?
- 1:12:03Speaker 5: Is it?
- 1:12:03Speaker 6: It's a leopard?
- 1:12:04Speaker 12: See?
- 1:12:06Speaker 1: Excuse me? Have you've ever seen when? Have you ever
- 1:12:12Speaker 1: seen a black leopard? That's the jaguar? Ye, jaguars? Wipe
- 1:12:20Speaker 1: your camera off.
- 1:12:23Speaker 6: You're just gonna go with the lie right down.
- 1:12:27Speaker 1: I gotta keep it going. Well, have you ever been
- 1:12:29Speaker 1: Let me ask you something? What have y'all not? Immediately?
- 1:12:33Speaker 4: Let me ask you something? Y'all probably y'all ain't never
- 1:12:35Speaker 4: took a polygraph before?
- 1:12:38Speaker 1: Never you took one? Ago you took a polygraph? Hell yeah,
- 1:12:44Speaker 1: what a comed the tail you will take.
- 1:12:51Speaker 4: I didn't become a comedian until I was twenty seven.
- 1:12:53Speaker 4: I didn't get famous at this until I was thirty eight.
- 1:12:57Speaker 4: Poly Have I ever took a polygraph? Federal charge?
- 1:13:03Speaker 1: Steve? Please you, I've been cleared. I'm fine. It's been
- 1:13:07Speaker 1: way more to seven years. I can't get on none
- 1:13:09Speaker 1: of this here past every line model time lied right
- 1:13:18Speaker 1: to his You.
- 1:13:20Speaker 6: Need to go on first forty eight or something.
- 1:13:23Speaker 4: The only thing got me was that video surveillance. I
- 1:13:26Speaker 4: was standing there right there with the dude. Yeah. When
- 1:13:29Speaker 4: the truth, Well, that's how you get good at it,
- 1:13:31Speaker 4: Shirley and call her. What you have to lie when
- 1:13:35Speaker 4: you don't have to lie? That get that gives you
- 1:13:37Speaker 4: the paxmatise at it. Y'all, wait till it's time to lie.
- 1:13:41Speaker 3: No work on that.
- 1:13:43Speaker 6: Got a horrible liar. I'm a horrible life work I
- 1:13:47Speaker 6: really am, I really am. I'm the worst.
- 1:13:50Speaker 15: All right, coming up more of the Steve Harvey Morning
- 1:13:54Speaker 15: Show right after this.
- 1:13:56Speaker 1: This is Carlos Miller and this may or may not
- 1:13:58Speaker 1: be the Steve Harvey More. You're listening to the Steve
- 1:14:02Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:14:07Speaker 6: It is time to check Steve's boysmail, and if you
- 1:14:09Speaker 6: would like to leave Steve a boy smail yourself, call
- 1:14:12Speaker 6: him at eight seven seven twenty nine. Steve eight seven
- 1:14:15Speaker 6: seven twenty nine Steve, you can hear your message on
- 1:14:17Speaker 6: the year with us.
- 1:14:18Speaker 5: Steve.
- 1:14:19Speaker 6: We are ready to go.
- 1:14:20Speaker 1: Let's go.
- 1:14:21Speaker 6: This caller is from New Jersey. Her name is Holly.
- 1:14:24Speaker 10: I'm mister Harvey, Miss Sherley, Tommy and the rest.
- 1:14:28Speaker 7: Of the crew.
- 1:14:28Speaker 10: I really do love listening to you guys.
- 1:14:31Speaker 17: My name is Holly.
- 1:14:32Speaker 10: I'm calling all the way from New Jersey.
- 1:14:35Speaker 17: I have a question for you, mister Harvey. I know
- 1:14:37Speaker 17: you have a blended family, and I'm supposed to have
- 1:14:41Speaker 17: a blended family, but I don't. And the reason I'm
- 1:14:44Speaker 17: saying that is because my husband of ten years has.
- 1:14:48Speaker 6: Kept his children away from our home.
- 1:14:52Speaker 17: Or relationship, and it has gotten to a state where
- 1:14:57Speaker 17: it's still very toxic. In a nutshell, my husband have
- 1:15:01Speaker 17: moved to the sofa since February of this year, and
- 1:15:06Speaker 17: it's a lot of tension and what comes with that. Anyway,
- 1:15:10Speaker 17: my question for you, how should I handle this? I'm
- 1:15:13Speaker 17: actually thinking of going south because I've tried getting him
- 1:15:17Speaker 17: to counseling and he bluntly refused.
- 1:15:21Speaker 1: And at this stage in.
- 1:15:22Speaker 15: My life, I need my mental health.
- 1:15:25Speaker 1: I have two adult.
- 1:15:27Speaker 17: Boys, they just graduated from college, and I don't think
- 1:15:30Speaker 17: I want to put up a living like this any longer.
- 1:15:33Speaker 6: I would greatly appreciate your advice.
- 1:15:36Speaker 17: Thank you have a great take on that.
- 1:15:39Speaker 4: Well, I mean, ma'am, you got me in a precarious position,
- 1:15:42Speaker 4: But I would have to go along with your initial
- 1:15:45Speaker 4: thoughts on this thing right here, I personally don't understand. Look,
- 1:15:49Speaker 4: you're not gonna blean in this family. He keeps them apart.
- 1:15:52Speaker 4: You're working for something that he ain't trying to make happen.
- 1:15:54Speaker 4: You got tension in your life. Life is too short
- 1:15:57Speaker 4: to live like this. Your children are grown. Mention how
- 1:16:00Speaker 4: his were, but you know they might be grown too.
- 1:16:04Speaker 4: So I'm just going about your business. You want to
- 1:16:06Speaker 4: go south, go south, but you ain't got to keep
- 1:16:09Speaker 4: you ain't got to You can't make nobody do something
- 1:16:11Speaker 4: they don't want to do. You can't get a person
- 1:16:13Speaker 4: in therapy that won't go to therapy. You can't make
- 1:16:17Speaker 4: a person do right that wants to do wrong. You
- 1:16:20Speaker 4: can't make nobody love you. So take your fine self
- 1:16:24Speaker 4: on south. You ain't got to worry about it. You
- 1:16:27Speaker 4: know you've done your job raising your kids. If he
- 1:16:29Speaker 4: don't want to include his kids in the process, I'm
- 1:16:32Speaker 4: kind of be inclined to agree with you without knowing
- 1:16:34Speaker 4: any more about the situation. But I'm not a proponent
- 1:16:37Speaker 4: of living in unhappiness. I'm not a proponent of living
- 1:16:41Speaker 4: in misery. I get out in a heartbeat, well with
- 1:16:46Speaker 4: more than a heartbeat. I really do think it out
- 1:16:48Speaker 4: quite thoroughly. But once I think it out there that
- 1:16:51Speaker 4: I'm gone. You might think it's a heartbeat, but it's
- 1:16:55Speaker 4: a lot of years, take years for me to come
- 1:16:58Speaker 4: to the concu Well, I just want her to know
- 1:17:01Speaker 4: the process. If it's been a long time, I'll probably
- 1:17:03Speaker 4: just go on walk. You'll be a lot happy sitting
- 1:17:06Speaker 4: in the room by yourself.
- 1:17:09Speaker 6: All right, Next caller, Thank you, Next caller. This caller
- 1:17:13Speaker 6: is Keisha. She's a young young lady from North Carolina.
- 1:17:16Speaker 9: Steve Hey, Steve Harvey.
- 1:17:18Speaker 13: This is Keisha Wood and calling from Charlotte, North Carolina.
- 1:17:21Speaker 10: I was just calling.
- 1:17:23Speaker 13: I'm young, but I listen to your radio station all
- 1:17:27Speaker 13: the time in the morning, and I keep it on
- 1:17:30Speaker 13: all day. I love y'all radio show in the morning,
- 1:17:35Speaker 13: Like y'all have me rolling in the morning, like I
- 1:17:39Speaker 13: can't even stop laughing sometimes say I just want to
- 1:17:43Speaker 13: say thank y'all for the last because some mornings I
- 1:17:47Speaker 13: wake up I feel bad.
- 1:17:48Speaker 10: And down and out, But when I get.
- 1:17:50Speaker 13: In the car and listen to y'all, I just my
- 1:17:52Speaker 13: joy just come out just listening to y'all.
- 1:17:55Speaker 10: And y'all just make me laughing sometimes.
- 1:17:57Speaker 13: I just see that throughout today. But thank you so
- 1:18:00Speaker 13: much for that. And sheep doing what you're doing all right.
- 1:18:05Speaker 4: Well, I mean, we appreciate that, Keisha, And that's what
- 1:18:07Speaker 4: we try to do on the show. We try to
- 1:18:09Speaker 4: provide uplift and entertainment. But listen to this though, when
- 1:18:13Speaker 4: you wake up in the morning, to offset waking up
- 1:18:17Speaker 4: on the wrong side of the bed, wake up and
- 1:18:20Speaker 4: go down a list of everything you have to be
- 1:18:23Speaker 4: thankful for, and that will help you get your mornings
- 1:18:26Speaker 4: off to a much better start. I know it does
- 1:18:28Speaker 4: mine all the time, every day usually, so that's my suggestion.
- 1:18:32Speaker 4: But we on the Morning Show, this is what we do.
- 1:18:35Speaker 4: Thank you to every component of the Morning Show, all
- 1:18:38Speaker 4: the players on the show. It's what we do.
- 1:18:41Speaker 12: All right.
- 1:18:42Speaker 3: Hey us up, y'ad.
- 1:18:43Speaker 1: This is fantasia, all right.
- 1:18:45Speaker 16: Now you're listening to my man, the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:18:49Speaker 6: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. According to
- 1:18:57Speaker 6: the Washington Post, getting hot and sweating between the show
- 1:19:00Speaker 6: sheets can feel like a workout, and several recent studies
- 1:19:04Speaker 6: look into answering is sex exercise Researchers in Spain study
- 1:19:09Speaker 6: couples and found that sex counts as moderate exercise as
- 1:19:13Speaker 6: it revs up the heart rate and burns calories, but
- 1:19:16Speaker 6: just how much varies widely. The amount of time people
- 1:19:19Speaker 6: spend having sex also varies, with young, healthy couples going
- 1:19:23Speaker 6: at it for an average of thirty two minutes, while
- 1:19:26Speaker 6: couples with health conditions last about nineteen minutes. So here's
- 1:19:31Speaker 6: a question for you, guys, Sexy guys.
- 1:19:33Speaker 8: Yeah, that's me right, Yeah, go back to health conditions.

- 1:19:57Speaker 4: Oh yeah, okay, I can't have nothing on be one
- 1:19:59Speaker 4: of me. I can't have no extra cords but nothing.

- 1:22:35Speaker 4: I've actually been on a blind date so bad that
- 1:22:38Speaker 4: I acted as if I was blind.

- 1:22:45Speaker 1: You could see and then you And then as soon.
- 1:22:47Speaker 4: As she walked up to the table, I got him

- 1:22:50Speaker 9: The guy.
- 1:22:54Speaker 1: Tap my way right out.
- 1:22:55Speaker 12: That happened.
- 1:23:06Speaker 1: As soon as you saw.
- 1:23:09Speaker 4: As soon as she sat down, I stood n't snapping
- 1:23:11Speaker 4: leg off, just started tapping right off the rest of.
- 1:23:17Speaker 1: The table.
- 1:23:18Speaker 4: Legg wasn't long enoughing. I had to beard over. Look crazy,
- 1:23:23Speaker 4: what is she doing?

- 1:23:32Speaker 8: see what you was doing.
- 1:23:34Speaker 1: I kept telling this bike, I kept looking for my dog.
- 1:23:45Speaker 3: I don't.
- 1:23:49Speaker 1: Crazy alright, what you like, my dog?
- 1:23:57Speaker 6: Would you rather compete in the summer or fins or
- 1:24:00Speaker 6: would you rather compete in a winter Olympic sports?
- 1:24:04Speaker 1: What the hell I'm gonna do in the winter sports?
- 1:24:08Speaker 3: I see thing?
- 1:24:17Speaker 6: So I guess that's summer for the both of you.
- 1:24:20Speaker 6: All right, thank you. Coming up in forty nine minutes
- 1:24:23Speaker 6: after the hour, we'll have our last break of the day,
- 1:24:25Speaker 6: and Steve Harvey are fearless leader, the one and only,
- 1:24:28Speaker 6: will close out the show right after this.
- 1:24:30Speaker 14: Thiss, your man, Sedric the entertainer, And you're listening to
- 1:24:33Speaker 14: the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:24:35Speaker 6: That my doubt you're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:24:40Speaker 6: So what do you have for us yesterday?
- 1:24:42Speaker 4: A real good piece of motivation that makes your quest
- 1:24:45Speaker 4: to become successful a little bit simpler. You know, oftentimes
- 1:24:50Speaker 4: people are stuck in a rut because they can't think
- 1:24:54Speaker 4: they way clear to see the end result. What I
- 1:24:59Speaker 4: mean by is, some people make such lofty goals and
- 1:25:03Speaker 4: then they sit there without a plan of attack to
- 1:25:07Speaker 4: achieve that lofty goal until they've created a goal that
- 1:25:11Speaker 4: seems so daunting that they don't even start the process
- 1:25:15Speaker 4: of a trying to accomplish it for example, And this
- 1:25:19Speaker 4: doesn't have to be the case. I'm just using this
- 1:25:21Speaker 4: as an example. Let's say you want to be a
- 1:25:23Speaker 4: millionaire and you say, wow, I want to make a
- 1:25:26Speaker 4: million dollars, and then you start thinking of how to
- 1:25:30Speaker 4: make the million dollars, and because you can't, it becomes
- 1:25:34Speaker 4: so daunting. Making a million dollars is difficult. If it
- 1:25:38Speaker 4: were easy, wouldn't you do it by Friday?
- 1:25:42Speaker 1: Wouldn't you?
- 1:25:43Speaker 4: Of course you would. But it's a little more difficult
- 1:25:46Speaker 4: than that. So here's what I had to learn in
- 1:25:50Speaker 4: my life. Everybody listening to this was born with a
- 1:25:54Speaker 4: gift is inside of you. Because God is very fair.
- 1:25:59Speaker 4: He didn't put it on a mountaintop, he didn't hide
- 1:26:01Speaker 4: it under a rock.
- 1:26:02Speaker 1: It's in you. And your gift is the thing that
- 1:26:05Speaker 1: you do the absolute best with the least amount of effort.
- 1:26:09Speaker 1: In that lies your greatest chance for success. There's a
- 1:26:14Speaker 1: scripture that says your gift will make room for you
- 1:26:18Speaker 1: and put you in the presence of great men. Let's
- 1:26:21Speaker 1: just look at the first part of that, your gift
- 1:26:24Speaker 1: will make room for you. My interpretation of that has
- 1:26:28Speaker 1: meant what my gift has done for me. It has
- 1:26:31Speaker 1: allowed me to spread out. It has taken me places
- 1:26:34Speaker 1: I never dreamed i'd go. Your gift will do the
- 1:26:37Speaker 1: same thing for you. So now let's just talk about
- 1:26:41Speaker 1: your ability to get to the million. I think it's
- 1:26:44Speaker 1: what your gift, because if that's that he gave you
- 1:26:48Speaker 1: and instilled it you at birth, what's to make room
- 1:26:51Speaker 1: for you? Here's your chance? Now how do I do that? Steve?
- 1:26:54Speaker 4: I call it to maximize your effort by ten theory.
- 1:26:58Speaker 4: It's just something I came up with drive and when
- 1:27:00Speaker 4: I was home listen coming up with how to make it,
- 1:27:03Speaker 4: and I discovered something. All of you have something that
- 1:27:06Speaker 4: some would pay you ten dollars to do. Some of
- 1:27:09Speaker 4: you paint, some of you teach, some of you babysit tutors.
- 1:27:14Speaker 4: Some of you work with your hands. Some of you
- 1:27:18Speaker 4: can sing, some of you can choreograph. Some of you
- 1:27:23Speaker 4: it's so many things. Cut grass, I mean, play the pianos.
- 1:27:26Speaker 1: Some of you do something.
- 1:27:28Speaker 4: Some of y'all work on cars, some of y'all drive.
- 1:27:31Speaker 4: But all of you have something that you will do
- 1:27:33Speaker 4: that someone will give you ten dollars to do. All
- 1:27:36Speaker 4: of you have something that someone will pay you ten
- 1:27:39Speaker 4: dollars to do because you do something that someone else
- 1:27:42Speaker 4: can't do. So now all you gotta do instead of
- 1:27:45Speaker 4: trying to figure out how to make a million dollars
- 1:27:47Speaker 4: is go make the ten dollars that you're able to make.
- 1:27:50Speaker 4: Once you make that ten dollars, I want you to
- 1:27:51Speaker 4: do it ten more times. When you do it ten
- 1:27:53Speaker 4: more times, you now have one hundred dollars. Once you
- 1:27:56Speaker 4: have one hundred dollars, it's very simple, do the same
- 1:27:58Speaker 4: thing you did to make the hunt dollars ten more times.
- 1:28:02Speaker 4: You now have one thousand dollars. See, you don't have
- 1:28:05Speaker 4: to keep thinking of something else to do. Just keep
- 1:28:07Speaker 4: doing the same thing that you've been doing.
- 1:28:09Speaker 9: Just do it.
- 1:28:09Speaker 1: Multiply the effort.
- 1:28:11Speaker 4: It's the effort that maximizes and brings about the fruition
- 1:28:15Speaker 4: of what your life can be. So, if you make
- 1:28:17Speaker 4: a thousand dollars and you do that ten more times,
- 1:28:19Speaker 4: I have news for you. Now have ten thousand dollars.
- 1:28:22Speaker 4: Now now, in order to make one hundred thousand, you
- 1:28:26Speaker 4: might need a little bit of help. You might need
- 1:28:27Speaker 4: to hire somebody and help you do the thing that
- 1:28:29Speaker 4: you do. But if you make ten thousand dollars and
- 1:28:32Speaker 4: you do what you did to make ten thousand dollars,
- 1:28:34Speaker 4: which is the same thing you did to make ten dollars.
- 1:28:36Speaker 4: If you do it ten more times, you now have
- 1:28:39Speaker 4: one hundred thousand dollars. Now listen to me, my friends.
- 1:28:43Speaker 4: Once you have one hundred thousand dollars, I can assure
- 1:28:45Speaker 4: you you are going to need help because in order
- 1:28:48Speaker 4: to maximize one hundred thousand dollars, you have to have
- 1:28:51Speaker 4: some like minded people around you. Nobody gets to the
- 1:28:54Speaker 4: top alone. Nobody becomes successful and wealthy by themselves. They
- 1:28:58Speaker 4: form partnerships, relationships, they get employees. But once you make
- 1:29:02Speaker 4: one hundred thousand dollars doing the same thing you did
- 1:29:05Speaker 4: to make ten dollars, if you do it ten more times,
- 1:29:09Speaker 4: I have news for you, my friends. Congratulations, you have
- 1:29:12Speaker 4: just made one million dollars with a ten dollar idea.
- 1:29:16Speaker 4: Stop trying to figure out how to make the million.
- 1:29:18Speaker 4: What all you gotta do is take your ten dollar
- 1:29:20Speaker 4: gift that God has put in you. It's a million
- 1:29:23Speaker 4: dollar gift that you have. You just haven't broken it
- 1:29:26Speaker 4: down inch by inch. Anything's a cinch, and maximize the efforts.
- 1:29:30Speaker 4: That's how you become successful. These jokes that pay me
- 1:29:33Speaker 4: what I make now, it's the same jokes that pay
- 1:29:35Speaker 4: me twenty five dollars a night. They the same jokes.
- 1:29:38Speaker 4: It's all English. This is not in another language. I
- 1:29:44Speaker 4: don't know no more words now than I knew then.
- 1:29:48Speaker 4: I've taken these twenty five dollar jokes and I maximize
- 1:29:51Speaker 4: them over.
- 1:29:52Speaker 7: And over and over and over and over and over
- 1:29:56Speaker 7: and over.
- 1:29:57Speaker 4: It's the same jokes I was telling babysitters who charge
- 1:30:02Speaker 4: fifty dollars to watch kids. Babysitters end up opening up
- 1:30:06Speaker 4: daycare centers. Daycare centers turned into franchises. Crim Dela krim
- 1:30:12Speaker 4: Monossori schools. These are national franchises. Somebody was just babysitting.
- 1:30:20Speaker 4: My partner used to cut grass fus three dollars in
- 1:30:23Speaker 4: the front, three dollars in the back.
- 1:30:26Speaker 1: He got a landscape and come here in Cleveland. He
- 1:30:27Speaker 1: make four million dollars a year.
- 1:30:29Speaker 3: You know what he do?
- 1:30:30Speaker 4: He cut grass, same six dollar grass cutting he been doing.
- 1:30:34Speaker 4: He check out some trucks. Now, what is it that
- 1:30:37Speaker 4: you do that somebody will pay you ten dollars that
- 1:30:40Speaker 4: you could maximize your effort for and turn it into
- 1:30:42Speaker 4: your million. Trying to figure out how to make a million.
- 1:30:45Speaker 4: Take your ten dollar skills set and start hammering it
- 1:30:49Speaker 4: and beating it and working it and grinding and hustling
- 1:30:53Speaker 4: and multiplying and magnifying it, and you'll.
- 1:30:55Speaker 1: Make a million dollars. That's my clothing remarks. Thank y'all
- 1:30:58Speaker 1: very much. Thanks all right now, old boy.
- 1:31:03Speaker 5: Yeah.
