- 0:09[SPEAKER_01]: What's going on?
- 0:09[SPEAKER_01]: Welcome.
- 0:10[SPEAKER_01]: Welcome to all.
- 0:11[SPEAKER_01]: I am Germaine McCrement and welcome to the Man of the Unplug podcast.
- 0:17[SPEAKER_01]: We'd like to thank each and every last one of you guys for stopping by sharing, showing love and support to the podcast.
- 0:26[SPEAKER_01]: Today is a late release, but nevertheless, we got it done due to personal issues and things going about, we just got to keep moving.
- 0:37[SPEAKER_01]: We had some hold-ups, but you know, one month you don't stop, no show, we got to keep rolling.
- 0:43[SPEAKER_01]: And in fact, I like to use that and hopefully the government will do it also.
- 0:51[SPEAKER_01]: and don't let one person's beliefs stop the show.
- 0:57[SPEAKER_01]: Unfortunately, this episode is 77 and we're day nine into the government shutdown, but we do have some other news we will talk about because Israel and Gaza has come to an agreement where they're gonna do some things together, release some hostages, guys and information about that.
- 1:18[SPEAKER_01]: That is always gonna be a great thing.
- 1:21[SPEAKER_01]: I talked about that earlier, how, you know, Gaza looks and they just destroyed the place, but I'm happy that after two years of being in disagreement, the prisoners of war being released and they're moving forward on rebuilding and that's always a great thing.
- 1:45[SPEAKER_01]: When we look at our government, we're nine days in, and it doesn't look promising that things will be resolved.
- 1:52[SPEAKER_01]: But since this has taken place in nine days of the government being shut down, the military veterans and military people are starting to question what's going on.
- 2:04[SPEAKER_01]: Because whether you know it or not, and if you don't know, I'll be glad to tell you, since you asked, I will tell you that Congress still get a check.
- 2:16[SPEAKER_01]: They check don't stop, but the military, someone the military people's money stop.
- 2:23[SPEAKER_01]: And that's a problem.
- 2:25[SPEAKER_01]: Some of the people that are active duty, their kids maybe sickly, or might have ill illnesses, we don't know about, but they need their medication.
- 2:35[SPEAKER_01]: And the copay is tremendous, but if the mother and father not being paid their money, how can they afford the copay or how can we get the medication to them?
- 2:47[SPEAKER_01]: Well, people, the government is working as I speak to try to release another agreement where
- 2:57[SPEAKER_01]: certain people ranking people in the active military are going to get checks.
- 3:04[SPEAKER_01]: So they can give the medication.
- 3:07[SPEAKER_01]: I'll get the medication to their families.
- 3:11[SPEAKER_01]: Well, I tell you that sounds great.
- 3:14[SPEAKER_01]: And that's marvelous that they're doing that.
- 3:16[SPEAKER_01]: But what about the regular people who have the same situation?
- 3:22[SPEAKER_01]: are we doing a separate agreement for them or we're going to try to do something that can alleviate the situation that is on hand at this point set nine days in.
- 3:35[SPEAKER_01]: Some of us may come to the conclusion that we just have to wait it out.
- 3:41[SPEAKER_01]: Perhaps we have a judge that put out a
- 3:48[SPEAKER_01]: a block against Trump moving into Chicago with the military, national guard.
- 3:55[SPEAKER_01]: Now, I don't know if you know, but Chicago and the West Coast, St.
- 4:01[SPEAKER_01]: Louis, Memphis, and things and such, these places have been some of the highest crime rates for people living for years.
- 4:10[SPEAKER_01]: And now that the government has decided to do something about it,
- 4:15[SPEAKER_01]: people that's in these areas now went to court to put a stop to it.
- 4:23[SPEAKER_01]: It's easy for us to quickly judge and say how far that is and it shouldn't be that way, but understand what you let them in is hard to get them out.
- 4:36[SPEAKER_01]: I'm here to tell you that sometimes you got to accept what you have, because you know what you
- 4:43[SPEAKER_01]: But you never know what you're going to get when something new comes in.
- 4:48[SPEAKER_01]: So I suggest to you and I suggest to all people living in certain circumstances too.
- 4:56[SPEAKER_01]: Always look at the other side.
- 5:01[SPEAKER_01]: Always look at the brighter side.
- 5:06[SPEAKER_01]: Always look at it could be worse.
- 5:14[SPEAKER_01]: So as we break down these different topics in this episode, I want you to have an open mind and an open understanding of both sides, not just what the media want to present to you and try to paint your narrative to be slighted one way, but look at both sides.
- 5:38[SPEAKER_01]: Have an open mind on the information you're about to receive because the information you're about to receive, we receive it as just information take at it is what you wish negative a positive up or down is information now this information is clearly given you opportunity to make your own assumption.
- 6:03[SPEAKER_01]: Hopefully, you'll do that.
- 6:05[SPEAKER_01]: Hopefully, you'll leave here today with a better understanding of what's going on beneath the political and media infrastructure or input on the situation.
- 6:20[SPEAKER_01]: So let's get into it.
- 6:22[SPEAKER_01]: And the first thing I'm gonna talk about is the temporary stop put on national guards in Chicago.
- 6:32[SPEAKER_01]: by the judge out there.
- 6:33[SPEAKER_01]: Here we go.
- 6:37[SPEAKER_03]: I do want to dive into some of breaking news right now out of Chicago and the legality of the national guard deployment.
- 6:46[SPEAKER_03]: They judge coming down with a ruling right now here within the last several minutes, saying the judge's the Perry grants the TRO blocking President Donald Trump's deployment of national guard in
- 6:57[SPEAKER_03]: Chicago saying it violates the 10th and 14th amendment of the Constitution.
- 7:03[SPEAKER_03]: So major developments in as you can see there are Fox 32 team talking about this blocking the deployments of these at this moment.
- 7:11[SPEAKER_03]: Judge Perry appeared frustrated throughout the hearing today.
- 7:14[SPEAKER_03]: This reporting from pair of shoots saying at the defense's inability to answer specifics about the National Guard deployments and the definition there of rebellion.
- 7:24[SPEAKER_03]: Perry, the judge,
- 7:26[SPEAKER_01]: there you go.
- 7:26[SPEAKER_01]: I want you to understand why that word rebellion and the 14th amendment is being demonstrated in this application.
- 7:36[SPEAKER_01]: And what we're looking at and what we're seeing, you know, what they're trying to paint is why is there a need for the national guard at this present time when we were acting for help, you guys denied us that help, but now all of a sudden you want to
- 7:56[SPEAKER_01]: Pacific increments of the 10th and the 14th Amendment, and the 10th and 14th is letting them know why we feel this is unjust.
- 8:10[SPEAKER_01]: What is the cause, why now?
- 8:15[SPEAKER_03]: says the broad view facility had seen small protests for 19 years, but things took a turn when customs and board of patrol announced increased enforcement.
- 8:25[SPEAKER_03]: So big news as a judge has blocked the National Guard deployment there in Chicago as we are learning more information about this.
- 8:34[SPEAKER_03]: Again, from pair of shoots, his reporting there for Fox 32.
- 8:38[SPEAKER_03]: the Judge Perry's or arguments saying quote, not even Alexander Hamilton could have envisioned one state's militia to be used against another state's residence because the president wants to punish those with views other than his own.
- 8:52[SPEAKER_03]: So some strong comments there coming into the judge just within the last several minutes here on live now from Bond.
- 8:58[SPEAKER_03]: about this and we heard from the mayor of Chicago, Brandon Johnson, talk about the legality of this as Texas National Guard members were sent there from the Lone Star State to Chicago.
- 9:09[SPEAKER_03]: So now this late as developing news out of the Wendy city as this judge blocking the National Guard deployment in that city.
- 9:18[SPEAKER_01]: So they're blocking it and the
- 9:26[SPEAKER_01]: amendment, the 10th and the 14th amendment, and nothing's wrong with that.
- 9:30[SPEAKER_01]: You able to exercise your right as a human being in the constitution and in the United States of America to express what you feel is in just and that's what they're doing by doing this and they took it to the law to they took it to court to stop Trump from executing that.
- 9:49[SPEAKER_01]: And you know, I get it.
- 9:51[SPEAKER_01]: But he did tell him they were next and he did tell him he was coming.
- 9:54[SPEAKER_01]: So he actually prepared them before he made his move.
- 9:57[SPEAKER_01]: So therefore when he make his move, you know, it wouldn't be an issue.
- 10:02[SPEAKER_01]: So.
- 10:04[SPEAKER_01]: I'm just here to let you understand that this thing that's going on, we have to understand exactly what's going on.
- 10:12[SPEAKER_01]: And it's basically Trump trying to input an imprint his belief and make you bow down to what he wants you to understand is going to take place.
- 10:25[SPEAKER_01]: whether you like it or not, he's going to push his narrative and his agenda down your throat, whether it's salty, that's your business, whether it's too spicy, that's your business.
- 10:35[SPEAKER_01]: But he's going to push it down your throat for you to receive it.
- 10:39[SPEAKER_01]: So now we're going to move forward.
- 10:43[SPEAKER_01]: and to the speaker of the House, Mike Johnson, and he's a piece of work, crafty, great word play, Republican, that's just really good at what he does.
- 10:56[SPEAKER_01]: Let us us up as we enter into the ninth day of the government shutdown.
- 11:01[SPEAKER_04]: Good morning, welcome to day nine of the Democrat shutdown.
- 11:05[SPEAKER_04]: We give you a daily update here to just talk about what's happening and where we see things headed, joined here by a leadership team and of course chairman Mike boss who will talk with you about the pain that's being inflicted on veterans in particular, he runs that committee I just want to summarize everything this morning has been doing on some interviews earlier today.
- 11:24[SPEAKER_04]: This morning, Americans are watching a remarkable split screen.
- 11:29[SPEAKER_04]: Two things happening simultaneously, and there's a rather stunning contrast between the two.
- 11:35[SPEAKER_04]: On one screen, you see President Trump and Republicans delivering for the American people.
- 11:40[SPEAKER_04]: You see President Trump and Republicans cutting taxes for hardworking American families.
- 11:45[SPEAKER_01]: We appreciate it.
- 11:45[SPEAKER_01]: We appreciate it.
- 11:46[SPEAKER_01]: We appreciate it.
- 11:46[SPEAKER_04]: We appreciate it.
- 11:47[SPEAKER_04]: We appreciate it.
- 11:47[SPEAKER_04]: We appreciate it.
- 11:47[SPEAKER_04]: We appreciate it.
- 11:48[SPEAKER_04]: We appreciate it.
- 11:48[SPEAKER_04]: We appreciate it.
- 11:49[SPEAKER_04]: We appreciate it.
- 11:50[SPEAKER_04]: We appreciate it.
- 11:50[SPEAKER_04]: We appreciate it.
- 11:50[SPEAKER_04]: We appreciate it.
- 11:51[SPEAKER_04]: We appreciate it.
- 11:51[SPEAKER_04]: We appreciate it.
- 11:52[SPEAKER_04]: We appreciate it.
- 11:53[SPEAKER_01]: We appreciate it.
- 11:53[SPEAKER_01]: We appreciate it.
- 11:54[SPEAKER_01]: We appreciate it.
- 11:54[SPEAKER_01]: We appreciate it.
- 11:55[SPEAKER_01]: We appreciate it.
- 11:55[SPEAKER_04]: We appreciate it.
- 11:56[SPEAKER_04]: We appreciate it.
- 11:56[SPEAKER_04]: We appreciate it.
- 11:57[SPEAKER_04]: What President Trump achieved yesterday was announced last night is a truly historic foreign policy achievement.
- 12:04[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, it cannot be understated.
- 12:06[SPEAKER_04]: We should give a whole press conference just about that.
- 12:09[SPEAKER_04]: The deal that he struck between Israel and Hamas will achieve incredible results, not just for that region, but for every piece loving people around the world, everyone around the world, he's going to return, bring the hostages home two years they've been in captivity.
- 12:27[SPEAKER_01]: All right, so for those of you that's enjoying him, he's really good, you know, he'll tell you the goods and he's gonna shift and I'm not gonna tell you when the shift happens, you should notice it.
- 12:40[SPEAKER_01]: His clean is clear, it's straightforward.
- 12:43[SPEAKER_01]: The cut is just beautiful, transition, it's beautiful, body language to talk, it's just, it's very pleasant, it's very pleasant.
- 12:52[SPEAKER_01]: It's not disruptive.
- 12:56[SPEAKER_01]: just really good.
- 12:58[SPEAKER_04]: He's good guys watching the images of the celebrations in Israel and around the world by people in Gaza and in Israel that this is coming to an end.
- 13:07[SPEAKER_04]: He's going to bring the hostages home.
- 13:08[SPEAKER_04]: He's going to bring peace and security back to Israel and truly lay the foundation for a lasting peace in the Middle East.
- 13:17[SPEAKER_04]: This is a goal and an objective that's been stated by presidents and politicians and policy makers and people around the globe for
- 13:25[SPEAKER_04]: President Trump has the strength and the vision and the resolve to do it.
- 13:29[SPEAKER_04]: He's the only president who could have, as has been demonstrated.
- 13:33[SPEAKER_04]: And look at the other side of the screen.
- 13:34[SPEAKER_04]: So that's all going on on one side of the split screen.
- 13:36[SPEAKER_04]: Now look at the other, the stark contrast with the Democrats who shut down the government.
- 13:42[SPEAKER_04]: Republicans are busy working around the clock to deliver the 50 American people, voting over and over to open the U.S.
- 13:49[SPEAKER_04]: government.
- 13:50[SPEAKER_04]: and laying to foundation for last piece and working to deliver from air-contrupeds and military families.
- 13:56[SPEAKER_04]: And what do you see on the other screen?
- 13:59[SPEAKER_04]: Democrats playing games at the lives and livelihoods of the people who represent it.
- 14:04[SPEAKER_04]: They have now voted in the Senate.
- 14:05[SPEAKER_04]: The Senate Democrats have voted six times to keep the government shut down.
- 14:11[SPEAKER_04]: And I just want to tell you one of the most outrageous things I've seen since I've been following politics in the mid-80s when I was a kid in the Reagan era.
- 14:20[SPEAKER_04]: and bragged this is what he said quote he had the audacity to say quote every day of this shutdown gets better for us.
- 14:28[SPEAKER_01]: He's so now they're going to take what Chuck Schumann said to try to twist and turn and paint the narrative that what he said was so against what the
- 14:46[SPEAKER_04]: I don't even know how to comment on that.
- 14:48[SPEAKER_04]: It's so stunning to me how callous he can be to play political games and use American citizens as the pawns in a political game.
- 14:56[SPEAKER_01]: As I see what the Republicans are doing.
- 15:01[SPEAKER_01]: He just, shoot what you said it correctly that this will affect everybody.
- 15:06[SPEAKER_01]: You need to set an undercutting and conniving way.
- 15:10[SPEAKER_01]: It would be very cool and direct.
- 15:13[SPEAKER_01]: I liked it in the way, but if you're not paying attention, you will miss this work play that they're in right now.
- 15:21[SPEAKER_01]: This is a chess play on both sides.
- 15:27[SPEAKER_01]: First, Schumer, now here come Mike Johnson, and he's making a, he build an canvas first by telling you what Trump is doing and how great Trump is and how he's helping reduce your tax paying dollars to go keep in your pocket, but on the other hand, he's going to take that same money that he saved you in
- 15:57[SPEAKER_04]: consequences of this Democrat shutdown are very real and he can mock it and he can pretend like it gets better for him.
- 16:03[SPEAKER_04]: It doesn't.
- 16:04[SPEAKER_04]: It doesn't get better for the country right now.
- 16:06[SPEAKER_04]: Half our civilian federal employees are on furlough.
- 16:10[SPEAKER_04]: Real vital critical services that Americans citizens of in all categories rely upon are halted.
- 16:16[SPEAKER_04]: And when we talk specifically about our military right now service members military personnel at home and abroad.
- 16:23[SPEAKER_04]: As well as border patrol agents, TSA, air traffic controllers, they're all working without pay.
- 16:28[SPEAKER_04]: I was on C-SPAN this morning on that program, they do in the morning where the citizens of American citizens call in, they have a Republican line, Democrat line, and independent line.
- 16:36[SPEAKER_04]: One of the callers called in and she was so upset she's a young military mother.
- 16:40[SPEAKER_04]: She has two special needs children and she told her story.
- 16:43[SPEAKER_04]: In tears, she's so angry and so am I that their services are being delayed.
- 16:48[SPEAKER_04]: I mentioned here at this podium last few days.
- 16:51[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, I have a big military district in Louisiana's fourth district.
- 16:54[SPEAKER_04]: We have four Polk and Barclay, Air Force Base, lots of airmen, lots of soldiers, many of or deployed right now, defending your freedom around the world.
- 17:02[SPEAKER_04]: and they left the young families at home.
- 17:04[SPEAKER_04]: They live paycheck to paycheck, many of these service members.
- 17:08[SPEAKER_04]: And this is not a game.
- 17:12[SPEAKER_01]: So I wanted to stop there to let you understand that.
- 17:15[SPEAKER_01]: Of course, like I said in war, you have casualties of war.
- 17:20[SPEAKER_01]: You have people that's going to suffer when cutbacks and government shutdowns happen.
- 17:26[SPEAKER_01]: But the government knows this.
- 17:27[SPEAKER_01]: They do this every year.
- 17:29[SPEAKER_01]: This is nothing new.
- 17:30[SPEAKER_01]: This is not like you just popped up and COVID hit.
- 17:35[SPEAKER_01]: And no one knew every year we go through this where our government about it being shut down and it's going to shut down.
- 17:41[SPEAKER_01]: They got to come to agreement.
- 17:43[SPEAKER_01]: And now it's just, it's old.
- 17:47[SPEAKER_01]: It's old.
- 17:48[SPEAKER_01]: I do believe a lot of Americans are saying, we're a sick and tired of being sick and tired of hearing about the government shutting down, shut it down.
- 17:59[SPEAKER_01]: So now we shut down and you've got a bunch of Republicans complaining.
- 18:06[SPEAKER_01]: I'm just keeping it on you with you.
- 18:09[SPEAKER_01]: The Republicans are complaining more than Democrats.
- 18:17[SPEAKER_01]: But sometimes you've got to look that bully in the face.
- 18:22[SPEAKER_01]: And you got to let that bully know what you're going to do and what you're going to stand for and what you're not going to stand for.
- 18:26[SPEAKER_01]: We're going to fight and look, let's go ahead and fight and after we fight, I'm still not giving in on my beliefs and what I stand for my principles and my morals.
- 18:38[SPEAKER_01]: So this is the ongoing situation is not going to end no time soon.
- 18:42[SPEAKER_01]: They meet up again on Friday.
- 18:44[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe they come to a conclusion before the weekend.
- 18:46[SPEAKER_01]: They're going to definitely try that because they don't want this to go on past the weekend.
- 18:52[SPEAKER_01]: Remember if you do go past Friday the whole weekend and shut down nothing happened Saturday and Sunday.
- 18:58[SPEAKER_01]: By the way, you just the first time you're hearing from them talking like this because they were awful.
- 19:02[SPEAKER_01]: A lot of the Republicans didn't even go to work because Congress still get paid.
- 19:06[SPEAKER_01]: Whether you go to the White House or not, let's be clear.
- 19:10[SPEAKER_01]: So this is what it is and what we're going to do about it.
- 19:14[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
- 19:15[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
- 19:17[SPEAKER_01]: But maybe she can apply for public assistance.
- 19:20[SPEAKER_01]: And maybe she can get some food, if they need food stamps or whatever, maybe they can make it like when Katrina hit, they made it that emergency bill right away, they can give out the proper and adequate needs to be suffice for the situation.
- 19:37[SPEAKER_01]: I don't see why they can't do that.
- 19:39[SPEAKER_01]: I think they might can, you know, if you ask me, but who am I, you know?
- 19:43[SPEAKER_01]: So anyway, Israel, Gaza is a quick little shit, I'll let you know how they got together.
- 19:49[SPEAKER_01]: Here we go, they agree with the treaty.
- 19:52[SPEAKER_01]: It's a beautiful thing.
- 19:54[SPEAKER_02]: you're regular scheduled programming, because Hamas has just responded to President Trump's proposal to end the war in Gaza and release all of the remaining hostages.
- 20:03[SPEAKER_02]: They say they are willing to release all of the hostages if the proper conditions are met.
- 20:08[SPEAKER_02]: So this is not a done deal just yet.
- 20:10[SPEAKER_02]: Let's get right to our chief foreign correspondent Ian Panel in Tel Aviv with reaction Ian, what more can you tell us about this statement from Hamas?
- 20:19[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I mean, essentially it's a yes, but they're agreeing to some of the elements in there, but they seem to be adding their own conditions.
- 20:27[SPEAKER_00]: And there's a lot of detail there that isn't mentioned.
- 20:30[SPEAKER_00]: They say that they're in principle ready to agree to the release of the hostages.
- 20:36[SPEAKER_00]: according to the exchange formula contained in President Trump's proposal, but they say provided that the field conditions for the exchange are met, and of course it's not clear exactly what those field conditions are.
- 20:50[SPEAKER_00]: I say that they're ready to immediately enter in negotiations through the mediators.
- 20:55[SPEAKER_00]: Well, again, President Trump's proposal doesn't envisage a further negotiation.
- 21:01[SPEAKER_00]: It is an emphatic take-it or leave-it proposal.
- 21:05[SPEAKER_00]: They also say that they renew their agreement to hand over
- 21:10[SPEAKER_00]: the administration of the Gaza Strip to a Palestinian body of independence, what they call technocrats.
- 21:17[SPEAKER_00]: Again, President Trump's proposal doesn't talk about a Palestinian body.
- 21:21[SPEAKER_00]: They talk about an international body.
- 21:25[SPEAKER_00]: with palestinian consultation, but primarily involving Arab and Muslim countries as well as this kind of technocratic authority, including the former British Prime Minister Tony Blair.
- 21:39[SPEAKER_00]: And it kind of kicks the rest of the issues down the camp.
- 21:43[SPEAKER_00]: So then we just have to wait and see.
- 21:45[SPEAKER_00]: We have to wait for the American team to interpret this, to see what details there are.
- 21:55[SPEAKER_00]: delay them.
- 21:57[SPEAKER_01]: I stopped it there because I want you to understand that they're on the agreement with some add-ons.
- 22:05[SPEAKER_01]: So what they're trying to say technically is, yeah we agree to what Trump's saying if we can have all the condiments that come with that order.
- 22:15[SPEAKER_01]: So if we can't get what we want with it then we don't want the order.
- 22:21[SPEAKER_01]: We also bump them, we want this, we want that, we want this, we want that, and if we can't get the things we want, then we're not going to be agreeing to this piece treaty, and that's not part of what Trump put into a structure for them.
- 22:50[SPEAKER_01]: disagreement lasts and if in fact, the person who's our release, you just have to wait and see because what they're saying is, yeah, we understand and we like what we see, but it's missing some of the condiments, we're missing some of the key things that make this dish or make this order really, really good.
- 23:20[SPEAKER_01]: We have to wait and see when it comes to Gaza and Israel.
- 23:24[SPEAKER_01]: So he couldn't get the additional things they want.
- 23:27[SPEAKER_01]: Even though Trump made it very clear, he's not doing that.
- 23:32[SPEAKER_01]: When it comes to the government being shut down,
- 23:38[SPEAKER_01]: I don't see it, I just don't see it opening back up right now, unless someone it affects someone else.
- 23:48[SPEAKER_01]: Someone else has to get affected because they already took in count that some of the veterans will suffer.
- 23:53[SPEAKER_01]: They took in count, some of the people that's going to talk, they took in count.
- 23:58[SPEAKER_01]: on some of this, but it has not hit the right ears yet.
- 24:02[SPEAKER_01]: And I hate to say that being that has been shut down for nine days.
- 24:06[SPEAKER_01]: The right person has not paid attention to what's going on.
- 24:11[SPEAKER_01]: When we look into the other topic that I talked about.
- 24:19[SPEAKER_01]: It's very tough to say with the national guard going to Chicago, I think they should be able to go there because this might be the time to get rid of and radicate a lot of the drugs and
- 24:33[SPEAKER_01]: Uh, fentanyl, you know, just three days ago, I just want to say this, they're one of the biggest seizures of fentanyl again, this happened out in South Carolina.
