- 1:49Speaker 7: Looking me come come out?
- 1:59Speaker 2: You think that.
- 2:02Speaker 8: I sure will? Good morning everybody. You are listening to
- 2:06Speaker 8: the voice, Come on, dig me now one and only
- 2:09Speaker 8: Seve Harvey got a radio show, Yeah man, got one.
- 2:14Speaker 2: Hey.
- 2:14Speaker 8: You know, I thought I think of my life in
- 2:17Speaker 8: terms of blessings. You know, I take mostly a positive
- 2:21Speaker 8: approach and a positive spin to my life. I hardly
- 2:25Speaker 8: ever dwell on you know, the what's well. I can't
- 2:29Speaker 8: say that I don't think about the what's wrong in
- 2:32Speaker 8: it because I have to, because I have to address
- 2:34Speaker 8: problems as they arise. But I try not to let
- 2:38Speaker 8: them consume me. I let the consumption part be about
- 2:43Speaker 8: the blessings, the positive things that has occurred in my life,
- 2:47Speaker 8: the good things that God has done for me, the
- 2:50Speaker 8: power that He's displayed in my life, the protection He's
- 2:54Speaker 8: given me over the years, to being tucked under his wings.
- 2:58Speaker 8: I focus on the things that he promises me. I
- 3:01Speaker 8: think of all the goodness that I perceive to come
- 3:05Speaker 8: my way. I think that has a lot to do
- 3:07Speaker 8: with me learning more and more about the law of
- 3:10Speaker 8: attraction in terms of you know, what you think and
- 3:14Speaker 8: what you put out in the space, and what you
- 3:16Speaker 8: pray about is what you receive. You know, and so
- 3:19Speaker 8: I've become better and better at that. It's not to
- 3:22Speaker 8: say that I'm not human and I don't have moments
- 3:26Speaker 8: where I think a little bit too long about what's
- 3:29Speaker 8: going wrong and what enemy is about to attack and
- 3:33Speaker 8: what they're going to do and say and and all
- 3:35Speaker 8: of is his. That's not to say that I'm not
- 3:37Speaker 8: concerned about it. But I try to dwell mostly on
- 3:40Speaker 8: the positive. And one of the things that I learned,
- 3:44Speaker 8: you can have an incredible life, all of us. We
- 3:48Speaker 8: can have incredible lives if we just let God drive.
- 3:53Speaker 2: See. The problem that I had years ago was I
- 3:58Speaker 2: was the driver of my life, and.
- 4:00Speaker 8: I was taking myself in the directions that I thought
- 4:04Speaker 8: would be best for me, and I aimed at things
- 4:07Speaker 8: that I thought I could accomplish, and I set goals
- 4:12Speaker 8: that I saw myself being able to attain I was
- 4:16Speaker 8: driving when I gave up and I let God drive.
- 4:21Speaker 8: I then opened up my mind and my spirit to
- 4:25Speaker 8: what God had for me, for what God could see
- 4:29Speaker 8: for me, for what God could do in my life. Well,
- 4:33Speaker 8: for what God wanted for me. Now he wanted for me,
- 4:38Speaker 8: and he wanted of me. See, that's the connection that
- 4:42Speaker 8: you got to try to make. Well, not try, that's
- 4:45Speaker 8: the connection that you got to make to really get it. Now,
- 4:48Speaker 8: listen to me.
- 4:49Speaker 2: What I don't want you to do is do like me.
- 4:51Speaker 8: Don't be afraid of the what for of the what
- 4:55Speaker 8: he wants you to do part see, because that ain't
- 4:58Speaker 8: gonna be nearly as demanding an and as offsetting as
- 5:01Speaker 8: you think it's gonna be.
- 5:02Speaker 2: See.
- 5:02Speaker 8: I thought that if I did God's will, that if
- 5:06Speaker 8: I let God tell me what to do, that it
- 5:08Speaker 8: would cause me to not to be able to do
- 5:11Speaker 8: a certain some things I wanted to do well, which
- 5:13Speaker 8: is true. But the stuff I wanted to do was
- 5:16Speaker 8: all detrimental to my well being and my future and
- 5:19Speaker 8: my growth and development as a man. I was stopping
- 5:23Speaker 8: my own growth as a man because see, I was
- 5:26Speaker 8: doing what I thought I should do as a man.
- 5:29Speaker 8: But when you give it over to God, so God
- 5:31Speaker 8: has a much better plan for you than you can
- 5:33Speaker 8: ever have for yourself. And God knows a better way,
- 5:36Speaker 8: far better than the one you know. I want you
- 5:38Speaker 8: to believe that. Man, You got to understand that part
- 5:40Speaker 8: of it. And that's the part that I finally got
- 5:43Speaker 8: through my head to let God do it his way
- 5:46Speaker 8: and to show me a better way, and to teach
- 5:49Speaker 8: me a better way and expose to me a better way.
- 5:53Speaker 8: And when I opened up my mind to what God
- 5:55Speaker 8: was talking about, I began to see things totally differently.
- 6:00Speaker 8: Things started coming to me totally differently. If you've been
- 6:04Speaker 8: a friend of mine or a fan of mine over
- 6:07Speaker 8: the years, I mean, you've had to see it, the change.
- 6:10Speaker 8: You've had to see the difference. I mean, and I
- 6:14Speaker 8: acknowledge that every chance I get, because I promise God
- 6:17Speaker 8: I would, and I hope that I'm not falling short
- 6:20Speaker 8: in that category. But then again, if I told it
- 6:23Speaker 8: all day long, woul He's done for me, I still
- 6:26Speaker 8: wouldn't have enough time to really explain thoroughly what He's
- 6:29Speaker 8: done for me, because it's such a continuous growth in me.
- 6:33Speaker 8: But now that's not to say that I'm finished or
- 6:37Speaker 8: I'm done or I'm complete, because I'm still shock.
- 6:41Speaker 2: You can't be him.
- 6:43Speaker 8: You can strive for perfection. I hear people saying it
- 6:46Speaker 8: all the time. I applaud you for saying you want
- 6:48Speaker 8: to be perfect, but you ain't and you can't. So
- 6:51Speaker 8: you quit saying it. You quit saying it to me,
- 6:53Speaker 8: quit saying it to other people. I'm seeking a life
- 6:57Speaker 8: of perfection, but it's something that you cannot have because
- 7:00Speaker 8: he said you can't do it.
- 7:02Speaker 2: But that's what he'd have for.
- 7:04Speaker 8: He'd have for the moments when you stumble and you fall,
- 7:06Speaker 8: and you go stumble and fall. See, you got to
- 7:08Speaker 8: get that part right, man, The stumbling falling part is coming.
- 7:12Speaker 8: But see, you get God in your life and it
- 7:14Speaker 8: helps you so that you don't stumble, fall, wallow, roll,
- 7:18Speaker 8: over lay their languish.
- 7:21Speaker 2: That's what God is for. So when you stumbling, fall,
- 7:24Speaker 2: you get back up.
- 7:26Speaker 8: Because you're going to make mistakes, You're going to get
- 7:29Speaker 8: it wrong, You're going to come under attack, You're going
- 7:33Speaker 8: to be lied about, you are going to be falsely accused.
- 7:36Speaker 2: That's going to happen to you.
- 7:39Speaker 8: The moment you make a decision to do better the
- 7:42Speaker 8: moment you try to be more. The devil got to
- 7:45Speaker 8: send his attackers man, and he controls certain people. He
- 7:49Speaker 8: just got people that's on his side twenty four seven.
- 7:52Speaker 2: You know him too.
- 7:53Speaker 8: You've all met one or two of the men in
- 7:55Speaker 8: your life. They just busy with the business of nothingness.
- 8:00Speaker 8: It's busy about about the destruction of others. You said,
- 8:04Speaker 8: I know them, you know them. They coming. But here's
- 8:07Speaker 8: what you gotta hold fast too. They can't take away
- 8:11Speaker 8: nothing from you that God gave you. They didn't make you. See,
- 8:15Speaker 8: people who claim to have made you, if they so
- 8:19Speaker 8: in to make you business, why don't they make theyself?
- 8:23Speaker 2: Or if they ain't with you no more?
- 8:24Speaker 8: And they so busy in them I made you business,
- 8:27Speaker 8: why don't they make somebody else? Since you want to
- 8:31Speaker 8: get credit for making somebody make yourself. If you're responsible
- 8:37Speaker 8: for someone else's success, then you should easily be able
- 8:40Speaker 8: to take claim and be responsible for your own success. See,
- 8:44Speaker 8: be careful of that, and don't change your course because
- 8:48Speaker 8: somebody is attacking you with that.
- 8:50Speaker 2: I just hope man, that I'm giving it to God
- 8:53Speaker 2: the way I said I.
- 8:54Speaker 8: Would give it to him, that I would unload every
- 8:57Speaker 8: chance I got that I was supposed to without.
- 9:00Speaker 2: Being, you know, or here he come again?
- 9:02Speaker 9: You know.
- 9:02Speaker 8: I try not to be that, but man, I don't
- 9:04Speaker 8: know what else to be for the first twelve minutes
- 9:06Speaker 8: of my show? What else you want me to say?
- 9:08Speaker 8: I got four hours? I can't give God twelve twelve minutes, man,
- 9:12Speaker 8: I mean, for real, Steve, come on, man, I mean,
- 9:14Speaker 8: let's look at this right here. If you've given honor
- 9:17Speaker 8: to God just twelve minutes out the day, dog, he
- 9:21Speaker 8: gave you twenty four hours of luxury and life and
- 9:24Speaker 8: breath and hope and promise that you ain't got twelve
- 9:27Speaker 8: minutes to give him out the day.
- 9:29Speaker 2: That don't make no sense. What in exchange?
- 9:32Speaker 8: What a wonderful life God has given me in exchange
- 9:35Speaker 8: for so small of effort that I put forth. Don't
- 9:38Speaker 8: let the effort you got to put forth to God
- 9:40Speaker 8: seems so dawning that you don't attempt to do it,
- 9:42Speaker 8: because man, it seems like a lot.
- 9:44Speaker 2: It ain't nothing to compare to what He be giving
- 9:46Speaker 2: us for real.
- 9:47Speaker 8: So if you want a real life, you want a
- 9:49Speaker 8: real shot at what you can be, what you can have,
- 9:51Speaker 8: what you can own, what you can become who you
- 9:53Speaker 8: really are.
- 9:54Speaker 9: Go to God.
- 9:55Speaker 2: Let him fix you.
- 9:56Speaker 7: Man.
- 9:56Speaker 1: That's all you're listening harymore show.
- 10:02Speaker 8: Ladies and gentlemen, playoffs. Everybody, let me have your attention.
- 10:10Speaker 8: Today is not gonna be another one of them days.
- 10:13Speaker 2: Today is a new day, new day, new day?
- 10:20Speaker 6: What day? Is it?
- 10:21Speaker 1: A new days?
- 10:24Speaker 4: Gonna be a new day?
- 10:27Speaker 9: That a.
- 10:29Speaker 2: Something says a song? Oh yes, murder brings reality. I
- 10:38Speaker 2: want to say, why is it?
- 10:39Speaker 9: Yeah?
- 10:40Speaker 7: Is that a song?
- 10:43Speaker 4: But it's gonna be that?
- 10:44Speaker 1: And tell me I heard you say nude day.
- 10:47Speaker 2: I heard a little nicked and put a little nicked
- 10:49Speaker 2: in your day.
- 10:52Speaker 4: Naked? Okay, we just got here.
- 10:58Speaker 1: We just put our clothes on.
- 11:02Speaker 4: It's gonna crack if you naked.
- 11:07Speaker 1: Yeah, it's a little chili out.
- 11:11Speaker 4: To warm up, as the old people say, warm up?
- 11:14Speaker 1: How how you feel up?
- 11:16Speaker 5: Stevie know I'm talking about right, it's blown in there
- 11:21Speaker 5: warm more, won't warm up. It's in the kitchen on
- 11:25Speaker 5: top of it, and just warm it up and eat it.
- 11:26Speaker 2: None. Old people had a house hot no matter what time.
- 11:31Speaker 3: Of the year.
- 11:31Speaker 4: I can't see what.
- 11:34Speaker 2: Let me tell you something. A couple of years ago,
- 11:37Speaker 2: A couple of years ago, we did.
- 11:38Speaker 8: Uh took my family out on Thanksgiving that we delivered meals,
- 11:43Speaker 8: meals on wheels, and we delivered all day, you know,
- 11:48Speaker 8: to families in need.
- 11:51Speaker 2: We went into this old lady's house. Come on, hey man,
- 11:55Speaker 2: it was so I didn't know. And as soon as
- 11:59Speaker 2: I the Lord Jesus, what not you? What is you
- 12:07Speaker 2: doing down here? Baby? What did it?
- 12:11Speaker 7: TV?
- 12:12Speaker 2: People know you downhill? She went to her window and
- 12:16Speaker 2: looked out the color. Ain't no police with you? I said, no, ma'am.
- 12:22Speaker 8: Oh lord, you want me to call my nephews, I said,
- 12:26Speaker 8: for what so they can watch over you?
- 12:28Speaker 2: I said, ma'am, I'm from here.
- 12:32Speaker 7: I heard you was, but you don't.
- 12:35Speaker 2: It's Look what time is it?
- 12:38Speaker 8: I said, it's twelve thirty. Oh you got a little time?
- 12:42Speaker 8: Want you to be gone? You're gonna stay till this dog?
- 12:44Speaker 8: I said, nah, here, I got to do a lot
- 12:46Speaker 8: of other house. Oh I thought you were gonna stay
- 12:49Speaker 8: awhile I said, no, don't just drop this off. I
- 12:53Speaker 8: got some more houses to take care of. I said
- 12:56Speaker 8: all that to say, it was the hottest house I've
- 12:59Speaker 8: ever been in in my tide life. And that conversation
- 13:04Speaker 8: we had was taken two damn longs.
- 13:08Speaker 4: I had reached that age, that hot stage.
- 13:13Speaker 5: Yeah man, it's gotta behind really yeah, I room, my
- 13:18Speaker 5: kids will even come see me. It's too hot over there, Dad.
- 13:21Speaker 2: And oh that's the reason you made it.

- 15:24Speaker 11: certain amount of time, it actually comes over to the
- 15:26Speaker 11: collection agency.
- 15:27Speaker 2: And that's what they've done. They've actually sent it over
- 15:29Speaker 2: to us.
- 15:30Speaker 9: Uh.
- 15:30Speaker 11: They've given us uh pretty much all the information on you.

- 16:10Speaker 11: with you, but I'm telling you exactly how it's gonna go.
- 16:12Speaker 9: Now.
- 16:12Speaker 2: I come out there and repossess it myself. But I'm telling.
- 16:16Speaker 9: Up it's no.
- 16:17Speaker 6: Look, that's not that's not even all where we gotta
- 16:19Speaker 6: go with that. Don't be you don't need to be
- 16:21Speaker 6: screaming and fussing and chaotic. Can come get it yourself
- 16:23Speaker 6: and all that suffy so much? Truck, my truck, that's
- 16:27Speaker 6: gonna be that?
- 16:28Speaker 11: What hang on, let's back up, because I'm a man
- 16:30Speaker 11: just like your man. What do you mean it's gonna
- 16:32Speaker 11: that's gonna be that? What are you saying?
- 16:34Speaker 2: What are you? What do you what are you saying
- 16:35Speaker 2: to me? Son?
- 16:36Speaker 6: I'm telling you, sir. Look, I'm telling you that I'm
- 16:39Speaker 6: paying my truck note and and that's the final I
- 16:42Speaker 6: don't know.
- 16:44Speaker 11: Let's get I've already stated to you before. I'm with
- 16:47Speaker 11: an agency. And let's get one thing straight. You don't
- 16:49Speaker 11: tell me I tell you now, Hey.
- 16:52Speaker 6: Hey, calm down on the phone. It don't make no
- 16:55Speaker 6: sense to me, you know, over the phone and whatnot.
- 16:58Speaker 6: You can come, you can come get the truck, my truck. Yeah,
- 17:00Speaker 6: I work, I'm ready. You can come. You can come
- 17:02Speaker 6: try to get my truck. You come on there.
- 17:04Speaker 11: Sure, I'm already aware of where you work in the
- 17:06Speaker 11: whole nine yards. Now I don't I'm trying to be
- 17:10Speaker 11: as uh cardial with you as I can.
- 17:12Speaker 2: Now you can.
- 17:13Speaker 6: Come and get my truckle I'll tell you I'll be
- 17:15Speaker 6: paying much. So you know you should have dropped down
- 17:17Speaker 6: and being like, all right, I'm gonna check with somebody else,
- 17:20Speaker 6: check with somebody else and make sure I'm right, and
- 17:22Speaker 6: then call me back.
- 17:23Speaker 11: I'm telling you you haven't paid anything. That's what I'm
- 17:26Speaker 11: telling you. I've got it listed on the computer. You've
- 17:28Speaker 11: been turned over an agency and you haven't done it.
- 17:32Speaker 11: You haven't done it thing.
- 17:34Speaker 6: What you used to you. You you're raising your press,
- 17:36Speaker 6: screaming and hollo over the phone like that they ain't
- 17:39Speaker 6: gonna do me up.

- 20:30Speaker 9: Hey?
- 20:31Speaker 8: Man, they had a deal in Cleveland when I was
- 20:33Speaker 8: about twenty four. You mean when Mopegs was hot. They
- 20:37Speaker 8: had a special deal. You can come down and get
- 20:39Speaker 8: one and then pay on it for three months. They
- 20:41Speaker 8: had to come get that.
- 20:43Speaker 2: You got a moped repo?
- 20:46Speaker 8: Well, I said, a bike. Well let me put you
- 20:49Speaker 8: They tried to come get that. You think I can
- 20:51Speaker 8: hide a car good?
- 20:52Speaker 7: You know?
- 20:57Speaker 2: No, I hit the mopeed in my backyard for three weeks.
- 21:01Speaker 8: Oh, naden say in the backyard, I rake les one
- 21:05Speaker 8: time and hit it.
- 21:09Speaker 2: One time. I put put in that big ass garbage
- 21:11Speaker 2: cad to put the top on it.
- 21:14Speaker 1: Looking now you're listening Hardy Morning Show.
- 21:19Speaker 10: It is time to get some great advice from the
- 21:21Speaker 10: CLO that stands for Chief Love Officer.
- 21:24Speaker 1: We call him the Close Steve Harvey.
- 21:27Speaker 10: Shateria in Memphis writes, I have been dating a younger
- 21:30Speaker 10: man for four months, and he's been using my car
- 21:33Speaker 10: to go to work because I work from home.
- 21:35Speaker 7: Now.
- 21:35Speaker 10: I had a doctor's appointment yesterday, so I told him
- 21:38Speaker 10: to call his mama for a ride. His mama called
- 21:41Speaker 10: me and said, I'm only four years younger than her,
- 21:44Speaker 10: So I'm his mama now and I need to take
- 21:46Speaker 10: care of his knees.
- 21:48Speaker 1: Would I be out of line to curse her out?
- 21:50Speaker 9: What?
- 21:51Speaker 7: Well?
- 21:52Speaker 8: First of all, let's talk about a couple of things
- 21:55Speaker 8: that I noticed, Shateria. This man you Dayton, got to
- 22:03Speaker 8: be young because your name is Shaterria, and I don't
- 22:07Speaker 8: know nobody named Shatiria that was born in the seventies,
- 22:13Speaker 8: So I'm assuming that you are a young mother yourself.
- 22:18Speaker 2: Now, you the one in here and rob this crackling.
- 22:20Speaker 8: You're dating this little damn baby that just now got
- 22:23Speaker 8: off his bicycle, so he ain't even got a car.
- 22:26Speaker 2: Now you letting him use your car.
- 22:28Speaker 8: You told him you got to go to the doctor
- 22:30Speaker 8: because you got some medical complications. He can't do that,
- 22:33Speaker 8: and then you told him using mama's car his mama's car.
- 22:38Speaker 8: Would I be wrong for cussing out or kicking hotel?
- 22:42Speaker 8: What are you doing?
- 22:46Speaker 2: This is your fault.
- 22:47Speaker 8: The fact that his mama can call you, the fact
- 22:51Speaker 8: that you had him call his mama says you're in
- 22:55Speaker 8: the wrong relationship. Shateria that rhymes with cafeteria henry. Yes,
- 23:01Speaker 8: where we have the problem at right there? Your name,
- 23:06Speaker 8: your age, and this damn baby you done picked up
- 23:09Speaker 8: and moved around in here to your house that don't
- 23:12Speaker 8: have a car. Bad selection. It ain't his mama, it's
- 23:16Speaker 8: the boy you selected to be your man. Yeah, bad's
- 23:20Speaker 8: your problem. Next question, all.
- 23:22Speaker 1: Right, Moving on to Tay in Ohio.
- 23:25Speaker 10: Tay says, I'm a twenty two year old student and
- 23:27Speaker 10: I'm dating a black guy that is giving me grief
- 23:30Speaker 10: because he's very friendly. He feels like he has to
- 23:33Speaker 10: show the black girls on campus a lot of attention
- 23:36Speaker 10: or they'll hate him for dating outside of his race.
- 23:39Speaker 10: One of the girls can't stand me, and she's always
- 23:41Speaker 10: talking slick to me.
- 23:43Speaker 1: Should I pull her aside to see what the problem is?
- 23:45Speaker 1: Or do I keep ignoring her? Like he said to.
- 23:49Speaker 2: Well, let me let me give you, Let me let
- 23:51Speaker 2: me say something to you. Now when you pull her
- 23:54Speaker 2: to the side. Hey, I just want you.
- 23:58Speaker 8: To understand that ain't the end of it. Let me
- 24:02Speaker 8: live culturally. Once you pull them to the side and
- 24:09Speaker 8: start addressing it, you finna get way molding.
- 24:12Speaker 2: You bargain for.
- 24:15Speaker 9: Now.
- 24:15Speaker 8: The dude has told you to ignore it. You could
- 24:19Speaker 8: ignore it, but I understand the position he's in. He
- 24:22Speaker 8: gives them extra attention so they don't hate him. Look,
- 24:29Speaker 8: are you enjoying this relationship, lady? It don't sound like
- 24:35Speaker 8: she is to me. It's very much with this. You
- 24:40Speaker 8: don't like the pressure, you don't like what come with it.
- 24:43Speaker 8: And he's not coping with it real good either, because
- 24:45Speaker 8: he feels in some kind of way. But now, let
- 24:49Speaker 8: me explain something to you. Don't pull that black girl
- 24:52Speaker 8: to the side.
- 24:56Speaker 2: Don't do that. Don't do that.
- 24:57Speaker 8: System beg a girl. Listen to me, Listen to Uncle Steve.
- 25:01Speaker 8: Don't pull that black girl to the side, because it
- 25:03Speaker 8: ain't gonna go nothing like you think you're not gonna
- 25:06Speaker 8: believe her damn reaction. First of all, if you literally
- 25:10Speaker 8: tap her on the elbow and say, come over here
- 25:12Speaker 8: for a minute, let me talk to you, not just
- 25:13Speaker 8: don't do that, don't you First, it's gonna be a
- 25:18Speaker 8: pause and hesitation, the disbelief that you're addressing her. But
- 25:23Speaker 8: if all the black women you done point, you're gonna
- 25:25Speaker 8: picked out her is the one you gonna check her.
- 25:29Speaker 8: I can't even tell you how this is fit to
- 25:31Speaker 8: go now. I don't know if you're a cheerleader. I
- 25:34Speaker 8: don't know if he an athlete, I don't know if
- 25:36Speaker 8: you're on a debate team.
- 25:38Speaker 2: I don't know what you own. But do not grab
- 25:42Speaker 2: Shiteria Junior and pull her to the side.
- 25:50Speaker 7: This is not him.
- 25:52Speaker 2: Yeah, do not do that. It's not going to go.
- 25:57Speaker 13: Thank you.
- 25:57Speaker 10: Cela Monique and Tyler Town said. My husband and I
- 26:01Speaker 10: had a card party over the weekend and his best
- 26:03Speaker 10: buddy got drunk and slept on our floor all night.
- 26:06Speaker 10: He also urinated on himself, and he had on dark jeans,
- 26:09Speaker 10: so my carpet is ruined in that spot. My husband
- 26:13Speaker 10: didn't want to make a big deal out of it
- 26:15Speaker 10: and embarrass him. So we have to pay to have
- 26:18Speaker 10: our carpet replaced. Shouldn't he make his buddy pay for this?
- 26:23Speaker 2: You just so drunk you.
- 26:24Speaker 8: Done fell asleep on the floor and pede on yourself.
- 26:30Speaker 8: I mean he could go to him and say, hey, man,
- 26:32Speaker 8: look here's a problem. And he was at the house.
- 26:34Speaker 8: You got drunk. I know you couldn't help it, but
- 26:37Speaker 8: you laid the floor and you peed on yourself, and
- 26:40Speaker 8: my wife got to replace the carpet. Man, can you
- 26:42Speaker 8: give us a little something on it? You know you
- 26:45Speaker 8: should offer at that point, Well he not, Yeah, because
- 26:48Speaker 8: he gonna swear him down.
- 26:49Speaker 2: He gonna swear him down. He ain't peede on himself.
- 26:52Speaker 2: Well who you know?
- 26:53Speaker 8: If in the volunteer and that that wasn't he dark
- 26:55Speaker 8: ain't pee on a little flow? Yeah that was a bill.
- 27:00Speaker 8: Think I peed on myself.
- 27:02Speaker 2: Now that's beer. I laid it in the beer. I
- 27:04Speaker 2: saw the beer. I might knock the cup over. I
- 27:07Speaker 2: can give you a couple of honey.
- 27:08Speaker 8: Hell no, hell no, hell no, it ain't nowhere. And
- 27:14Speaker 8: he ain't laying that any You can't prove he pre no, no, no, no, no.
- 27:18Speaker 8: Hold on, bro, so you're gonna come to me with that?
- 27:22Speaker 2: Yeah, we got picture? Hold on? Did you see me pete?
- 27:26Speaker 12: No on my phone?
- 27:28Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 27:29Speaker 1: Now hold on?
- 27:31Speaker 9: On?
- 27:32Speaker 2: Who phone mine?
- 27:35Speaker 7: Hold on?
- 27:36Speaker 8: So your girl taking picture of me peeingna get turned?
- 27:42Speaker 9: Yeah? You got?
- 27:45Speaker 8: I mean he could mention it to him, but it's
- 27:48Speaker 8: the the dude gonna deny it and stop him. Card
- 27:51Speaker 8: party and stop letting people sleep on your floor overnight.
- 27:55Speaker 8: Stop doing that, all right? Send his ass home pee.
- 28:00Speaker 2: On his own floor.
- 28:02Speaker 1: Oh with the smell in that house?
- 28:04Speaker 2: All right?
- 28:05Speaker 10: Moving on to Stephanie in La Stephanie says, I'm in
- 28:08Speaker 10: my mid forties and I can't function without having sex
- 28:11Speaker 10: at least four times a week. I work long days,
- 28:14Speaker 10: so it's hard for me to meet a good man,
- 28:16Speaker 10: to meet good men, and I end up tensed up
- 28:19Speaker 10: all night and can't fall asleep. My neighbor has always
- 28:23Speaker 10: been an option, but I don't want to be intimate
- 28:26Speaker 10: with someone in my building. What's the worst that could happen?
- 28:29Speaker 10: Should I go ahead and invite him over?
- 28:33Speaker 2: I don't feel I don't care what you do. I
- 28:37Speaker 2: really don't.

- 33:54Speaker 2: Surely excuse me. Chocolate is the worst thing you could
- 33:58Speaker 2: put in your body.
- 33:59Speaker 1: I absolutely know that, But it tastes real good. That's
- 34:02Speaker 1: all I'm saying.

- 36:29Speaker 10: it political, scientific, educational, financial, even hip hop pop culture
- 36:35Speaker 10: based conversations where.
- 36:36Speaker 1: We just have no clue, I mean clueless.
- 36:39Speaker 2: To what the person is talking about. Okay, So so
- 36:43Speaker 2: guess what sure to do with sports?
- 36:47Speaker 1: Busted?
- 36:48Speaker 10: So do you guys chime in and ask people to
- 36:51Speaker 10: to get you up to speed or do you just
- 36:54Speaker 10: not in agreement?
- 36:55Speaker 2: Like you know, you know, like I actually get into conversations.
- 36:59Speaker 1: I wanted to start with you.
- 37:01Speaker 8: Yes, get in the concert, like bring up a subject
- 37:05Speaker 8: where you know I ain't got nothing now I don't
- 37:07Speaker 8: know nothing about it.
- 37:10Speaker 1: Engineering making a bridge, Oh.
- 37:14Speaker 8: Man, you know when me and my father man used
- 37:16Speaker 8: to work construction. You know, I used to work on bridge.
- 37:19Speaker 8: We used to pad of cracks in the bridge. So
- 37:22Speaker 8: I knew all about the structural design of a bridge,
- 37:25Speaker 8: what called the fracture spaces in it?
- 37:28Speaker 2: And I just did like that.
- 37:29Speaker 1: Yeah, did you or your father go to engineering school?
- 37:32Speaker 1: I mean take engineering?
- 37:34Speaker 2: And I never did.
- 37:37Speaker 1: A construction company.
- 37:39Speaker 8: Or no, no, no, no, Now we work for this company,
- 37:42Speaker 8: Frank Buddy, Brank buddy contract.
- 37:44Speaker 1: Have you ever driven over a bridge?
- 37:46Speaker 9: Oh?
- 37:47Speaker 2: Hell yeah, I been a lot of That's how we
- 37:48Speaker 2: knew how they cracked.
- 37:49Speaker 8: You know, the structural engineering position is what we would
- 37:52Speaker 8: take hold was the uprooted problem that diverted the situation
- 37:56Speaker 8: into a crack in the first place.
- 37:58Speaker 2: We sound good, What are you talking about?
- 38:02Speaker 7: There's like a.
- 38:02Speaker 2: Board game like this, Go ahead ahead.
- 38:06Speaker 3: I was gonna ask him, though, Shirley, So how would
- 38:09Speaker 3: you what would you recommend to.
- 38:10Speaker 1: Update a bridge?
- 38:12Speaker 2: Well, I think up is a very bridge.
- 38:16Speaker 8: The Golden Gray Bridge has been needed update and repairing.
- 38:19Speaker 8: You know, been several earthquakes as we reaking the foundation.
- 38:23Speaker 8: But I think what we're gonna have to do is
- 38:24Speaker 8: we're gonna have to do a section out of time.
- 38:26Speaker 8: I think we're gonna have to break that bridge and half.
- 38:28Speaker 8: So we had this one way traffic going one way,
- 38:30Speaker 8: and then once you get the one one lane locked off,
- 38:33Speaker 8: and then you can do the restructure work on the
- 38:35Speaker 8: other side, and then you reinforce it up under with
- 38:38Speaker 8: welding beams and now to join them back together.
- 38:41Speaker 2: That way they'll fixed that. Whole time you.
- 38:44Speaker 10: Mentioned earthquakes, I was wondering. You know, we're out here
- 38:48Speaker 10: in l A. What you know a lot of seismatologists
- 38:52Speaker 10: have been on the news lately. Saying there is a
- 38:54Speaker 10: possibility that there could be an earthquakes coming soon.
- 38:57Speaker 1: You agree with that?
- 38:59Speaker 2: Four point seven?
- 39:00Speaker 1: A four point seven? What are you basing that on?
- 39:03Speaker 2: Yeah, because last was four pointed.
- 39:07Speaker 1: You predict Are you a seismatologist, Finny Chance or you
- 39:12Speaker 1: had you know anybody that is?
- 39:13Speaker 2: No, I'm a quake atologist.
- 39:24Speaker 7: After show, so far, so good? Yeah, go ahead.
- 39:29Speaker 2: Ahead, anything just anything I couldn't I can get right
- 39:32Speaker 2: with it.
- 39:33Speaker 1: And house you're not allowed about.
- 39:35Speaker 8: How Yeah, I grew up in a housing projectist.
- 39:42Speaker 1: I meant seismologist, said seismatologist.
- 39:45Speaker 2: That's why I said, you said quake, because I knew
- 39:48Speaker 2: you ain't know what. Okay, go ahead, you know you
- 39:54Speaker 2: know anything about design and airplane? Are absolutely? Absolutely?
- 39:58Speaker 1: You mean like the engines and stuff for inside, which,
- 40:02Speaker 1: well let's.
- 40:02Speaker 2: Go be Yeah.
- 40:06Speaker 8: Rose Royce is number one engine manufacturer of jet planes
- 40:10Speaker 8: in the world.
- 40:11Speaker 1: Right now now that I believe, No, that's from you,
- 40:14Speaker 1: that I believe.
- 40:15Speaker 8: Rose Ross is number one jet manufactured engine parts and
- 40:19Speaker 8: motors in the world today.
- 40:22Speaker 2: And so whatever I'm picking out a plane, always go
- 40:25Speaker 2: Rose RoCE engine.
- 40:26Speaker 10: Okay, what's the best feat to get up with altitude?
- 40:32Speaker 8: Well, you want to fly at least thirty three thousand,
- 40:34Speaker 8: but if you're in the whole war substantial plane, you
- 40:38Speaker 8: can get up to forty nine thousand, which then at
- 40:40Speaker 8: that point you can see the curvature of the Earth.
- 40:43Speaker 2: Yeah, I cannot argue it.
- 40:45Speaker 1: I guess you're up there in heaven on my.
- 40:48Speaker 8: Afe forty nine thousand feet in the G five you
- 40:51Speaker 8: can see the curvature of.
- 40:53Speaker 2: The Earth ahead.
- 40:54Speaker 1: Wow, the planet, so.
- 40:56Speaker 2: You can see that the world is around Wow. No,
- 41:01Speaker 2: and that's a fact it is.
- 41:03Speaker 1: I can't argue with you because I have a new
- 41:05Speaker 1: idea all about the thirty three thousand altitude. All right, Steve,
- 41:09Speaker 1: thank you.
- 41:10Speaker 10: Up next, it is a nephew switching gears with a
- 41:13Speaker 10: prank phone call for today.

- 46:23Speaker 12: What wait, excuse you look like, did you did you?
- 46:27Speaker 9: Did you sleep with coach Brian so your son can
- 46:29Speaker 9: get that position? Did you do that?
- 46:31Speaker 12: Your mama slept with coach be coach Brian with her
- 46:33Speaker 12: dry that's why your son ain't playing.

- 46:56Speaker 12: You are crazy. First of all, you're gonna have to
- 46:59Speaker 12: talk to my husband because these accusations are ridiculous and
- 47:03Speaker 12: out of control. But I don't know who the do
- 47:05Speaker 12: you think you are in the house excusing me of
- 47:07Speaker 12: sleeping with the coach my son earned his positions on
- 47:10Speaker 12: the teams. He's like, what the do you think you are?

- 51:39Speaker 10: I have five children and five grandchildren. Okay, not we
- 51:44Speaker 10: Oh okay, here is the problem. My current husband is
- 51:48Speaker 10: not the father of my children. I married this man
- 51:51Speaker 10: when my children were young, so he's been in their
- 51:53Speaker 10: lives for a very long time. My youngest son just
- 51:57Speaker 10: graduated from high school and we'll be going away for college.
- 52:00Speaker 10: So now my husband thinks that we are done raising children,
- 52:03Speaker 10: and from now on it will be just the two
- 52:06Speaker 10: of us. He has said that we don't have to
- 52:09Speaker 10: worry about the kids anymore because they are all grown
- 52:11Speaker 10: and have their own lives. So am I not supposed
- 52:14Speaker 10: to So am I not supposed to be involved with
- 52:18Speaker 10: my children since they are no longer living at home.
- 52:21Speaker 10: My children range from ages thirty two to eighteen years old,
- 52:24Speaker 10: and all five of them live in different states. I
- 52:27Speaker 10: want to see them and my grandkids as often as
- 52:29Speaker 10: I can. In fact, I'd like to move closer to them.
- 52:33Speaker 10: My husband does not want anything to do with them period.
- 52:36Speaker 10: He doesn't want to visit them, and he doesn't want
- 52:39Speaker 10: them to visit us. He said that they don't need to.
- 52:42Speaker 1: Come for the holidays.
- 52:45Speaker 10: What the hell he really thinks that, because they are adults,
- 52:49Speaker 10: I am supposed to forget that they exist. I understand
- 52:52Speaker 10: that these are our golden years and we should be
- 52:55Speaker 10: enjoying quality time together and traveling the world. But our
- 52:59Speaker 10: travels should also include trips to see my children. If
- 53:02Speaker 10: he's really serious, I may have to spend my golden
- 53:05Speaker 10: years alone. Stephen Shirley, can you please help me?
- 53:09Speaker 2: Well?
- 53:10Speaker 10: Your letters started off nicely so I'll put it like this.
- 53:12Speaker 10: Your husband, I'm sure, feels like he's done his job
- 53:15Speaker 10: and it's over. These were not his kids. He raised
- 53:18Speaker 10: them anyway. He's been in their lives since they were
- 53:21Speaker 10: really young. So he's done and not being their biological debt.
- 53:25Speaker 10: Like I said, the ties are cut. He has no
- 53:28Speaker 10: connection really to them. It seems he cut them off
- 53:32Speaker 10: and his concentration is now on you and you guys'
- 53:36Speaker 10: future together. He wants to live, he wants to live
- 53:39Speaker 10: his life, you know, and do all of those things.
- 53:41Speaker 10: But now I think that he's being very unrealistic when
- 53:45Speaker 10: he says the children he doesn't want the kids to
- 53:47Speaker 10: come and see you, or he doesn't want you to
- 53:49Speaker 10: go see the kids.
- 53:50Speaker 7: How is that?
- 53:51Speaker 10: I mean, really, that's a bit unrealistic, especially if it
- 53:55Speaker 10: makes you happy to see your kids.
- 53:57Speaker 1: You're his wife.
- 53:58Speaker 10: He should want to see you happy and do those
- 54:01Speaker 10: things that make you happy. I mean, it's very unrealistic
- 54:04Speaker 10: to say that. He really thinks that because they're adults,
- 54:07Speaker 10: you're supposed to forget that they exist. No, that's not
- 54:10Speaker 10: the issue, and he knows that's not the issue. They
- 54:14Speaker 10: are grown and they are living their own lives. That
- 54:16Speaker 10: part is definitely true. But you guys got to come
- 54:19Speaker 10: to some kind of compromise in terms of when you
- 54:23Speaker 10: see the kids and when you go see the kids.
- 54:25Speaker 1: Even if you just go by yourself, you have to
- 54:27Speaker 1: see your kids. These are your kids, Steve.
- 54:31Speaker 8: You're a parent. Now he wants me, but not the children. Okay,
- 54:40Speaker 8: that I can relate to. I don't want mine either though.
- 54:44Speaker 2: Yeah, and on any day between the seven of them,
- 54:48Speaker 2: you can come get four just like that.
- 54:51Speaker 8: But we are parents. You're forty nine, man's forty nine.
- 54:56Speaker 8: You got five children and five grandkids. He's not the
- 55:00Speaker 8: father of the kids. Your youngest son just graduated high
- 55:02Speaker 8: school going away to college. So now your husband think
- 55:05Speaker 8: that we done raising children and from now on it
- 55:08Speaker 8: it just be the two of us. He has says
- 55:10Speaker 8: that we don't have to worry about the kids no
- 55:12Speaker 8: more because they're all grown and have their own lives. Okay,
- 55:16Speaker 8: are you kidding me? You really think that's how it goes?
- 55:20Speaker 8: Do you know that you are a parent for life.
- 55:23Speaker 8: You may not be a husband or a wife for life,
- 55:26Speaker 8: but once you become a parent, you're a parent for life. Now,
- 55:31Speaker 8: there are some good ones out there, and there are
- 55:32Speaker 8: some bad ones out there. I got it, you, sir,
- 55:35Speaker 8: are about to turn into a bad one because you
- 55:38Speaker 8: don't get it. You are in your golden years. You
- 55:40Speaker 8: said that later in the letter. Your kids are from
- 55:42Speaker 8: thirty two to eighteen. All of them live in different states,
- 55:45Speaker 8: and you want to see your kids and your grandkids.
- 55:48Speaker 8: Matter of fact, you want to move closer to her.
- 55:51Speaker 8: Your husband don't want nothing to do with them, period.
- 55:55Speaker 8: He doesn't want to visit them, and he doesn't want
- 55:59Speaker 8: them to visit us.
- 56:00Speaker 2: He says, they don't need to come for the holiday.
- 56:03Speaker 7: What the hell?
- 56:06Speaker 2: That's what the lady type don't need to come for
- 56:09Speaker 2: the holidays. What the hell?
- 56:11Speaker 8: What the hell is right? Come on, man, are you
- 56:14Speaker 8: for real? Bruh, you're gonna just act like you never
- 56:18Speaker 8: met these people. He gotta come home. He's not ready
- 56:22Speaker 8: to live on his own, and I got that. The
- 56:25Speaker 8: kids range from thirty two to eighteen. Man, Do you
- 56:29Speaker 8: know how much advice they need? So how much help
- 56:31Speaker 8: they need? Financial support they need? Come on, man, that
- 56:35Speaker 8: ain't hot his work?
- 56:36Speaker 2: Man? You crazy? And he don't want them indivent. He
- 56:38Speaker 2: don't want him to come for the holidays.
- 56:40Speaker 8: What the hell he thinks that because they are adults,
- 56:44Speaker 8: I'm supposed to forget the day exists. That's the craziest
- 56:47Speaker 8: part of it. You gotta be nuts. It doesn't work
- 56:51Speaker 8: there way. Come on, man, I understand that these are
- 56:54Speaker 8: our golden years. You ain't be forty nine hell golden.
- 57:01Speaker 8: But if that's how you want to look at it, okay, cool.
- 57:03Speaker 8: And if we should be enjoying quality time together and
- 57:05Speaker 8: traveling the world, players should also include trips see my trip.
- 57:10Speaker 2: If he's really serious, I may have to spend my
- 57:12Speaker 2: golden years alone. And we will be back when I
- 57:14Speaker 2: was a kid.
- 57:16Speaker 15: What you say, Steve, I said, William back, all right,
- 57:21Speaker 15: we will be back at twenty three after with part
- 57:24Speaker 15: two of Steve's response, too, he wants me but not
- 57:28Speaker 15: the children?
- 57:29Speaker 1: Right after this.
- 57:31Speaker 10: You're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, Steve, here
- 57:35Speaker 10: we are part two of today's Strawberry letter. The subject
- 57:39Speaker 10: he wants me but not the children.
- 57:42Speaker 2: Wow, well, there's youngest one that graduated.
- 57:45Speaker 8: The boy is five kids, none of them he is
- 57:48Speaker 8: now he going while they graduated, they gone, we threw
- 57:51Speaker 8: it then they out. He's saying, no, they have their
- 57:56Speaker 8: own lives, their adults. They should be able to make
- 57:58Speaker 8: it on their own. I see my grandkids as off
- 58:01Speaker 8: as I can. It's what the woman says. In fact,
- 58:03Speaker 8: I want to move closer to him. My husband don't
- 58:05Speaker 8: want anything to do with them, period. He don't want
- 58:07Speaker 8: to visit them. He don't want them to visit us.
- 58:11Speaker 8: He said, they don't need to come for the holiday.
- 58:13Speaker 8: What the hell, lady said, what to hell? No, we
- 58:19Speaker 8: don't come for the holidays. What is Christmas about?
- 58:22Speaker 1: Exactly?
- 58:23Speaker 8: He really thinks that because the adults, I'm supposed to
- 58:26Speaker 8: forget they exist. I understand that these are golden years
- 58:28Speaker 8: that we should been enjoyed, follow the time together and
- 58:31Speaker 8: traveling the world. But I travel plans and the called
- 58:33Speaker 8: trips to see my children. He's really serious. I may
- 58:36Speaker 8: have spent my golden years alone. Steven Shirley, can you

- 1:06:38Speaker 1: You're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, guys, here's
- 1:06:44Speaker 1: something we saw on Facebook.
- 1:06:46Speaker 10: Now, there was a boss who asked five coworkers who
- 1:06:49Speaker 10: were in a meeting if they had any spare change.
- 1:06:52Speaker 10: So this guy said, my friend was about to reach
- 1:06:55Speaker 10: into his pocket, and a coworker grabbed his hand.
- 1:06:57Speaker 1: To quickly start to quietly stop him from offering change.
- 1:07:01Speaker 10: A different coworker who was eager to kiss, but said, hey,
- 1:07:05Speaker 10: I have eighty cents. The boss said, great, I heard
- 1:07:09Speaker 10: your change jingling throughout the meeting. Please don't bring any
- 1:07:12Speaker 10: change into the meetings anymore.
- 1:07:16Speaker 2: Set up.
- 1:07:17Speaker 10: Yes, yes, yes, so Steve, I got to ask you.
- 1:07:21Speaker 10: I know you have a crazy horrible boss story.
- 1:07:23Speaker 2: I know you do.
- 1:07:25Speaker 8: Please yes, I mean, you know, just in my life,
- 1:07:28Speaker 8: I thought all my bosses was horrible because first of all,
- 1:07:31Speaker 8: my problem as every yeah, every last one of them.
- 1:07:35Speaker 8: I never none of my boss because I didn't I
- 1:07:37Speaker 8: didn't think none of them should be in charge of me.
- 1:07:39Speaker 2: That was my whole damn Yeah. So I had this
- 1:07:43Speaker 2: I had. I had a boss named Bob Cook and
- 1:07:46Speaker 2: Cleveland at Jenny Metric uh huh. And he was.
- 1:07:49Speaker 8: He was chastising me one time because he didn't like
- 1:07:52Speaker 8: the way I had unloaded this truck with the tomoil.
- 1:07:55Speaker 8: So he pulls me in the office to talk to me.
- 1:07:57Speaker 8: Little fat, little dude, real big asstmach. He leaned back,
- 1:08:00Speaker 8: had his foot up on the desk. He said to me,
- 1:08:03Speaker 8: you know something, Harvey, if you could just change your
- 1:08:06Speaker 8: work habits. I've been at this company thirty years. If
- 1:08:10Speaker 8: you following my footsteps, you could be me. One day, WHOA,
- 1:08:17Speaker 8: I got up and was walking out that door. He said,
- 1:08:20Speaker 8: where are you going? I said, man, I don't want
- 1:08:22Speaker 8: to be you and walked out that door and shut
- 1:08:26Speaker 8: that door. Two weeks later, I was gone, okay, yeah
- 1:08:32Speaker 8: that cost me right there, and walk out moment shut
- 1:08:36Speaker 8: the door. I said, man, I don't want.
- 1:08:38Speaker 9: To be you.
- 1:08:44Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm agreeing with Steve.
- 1:08:46Speaker 5: Quitting takes a toll on your life, and it only
- 1:08:49Speaker 5: hits you when you're sitting in that car. I mean,
- 1:08:52Speaker 5: you quit inside, you got your outside, and you have
- 1:08:56Speaker 5: already quitted. I'm saying inside, I'm not well, the hell
- 1:09:01Speaker 5: with it.
- 1:09:02Speaker 7: Damn it.
- 1:09:02Speaker 5: You take your job and you know what you can
- 1:09:05Speaker 5: do with it. Okay, I'm out this, and you add
- 1:09:07Speaker 5: and then you walk out. Now you in the car,
- 1:09:10Speaker 5: and then that's that's when it all hits you.
- 1:09:13Speaker 1: Hit you, right, What did I just do?
- 1:09:16Speaker 9: What?
- 1:09:19Speaker 16: Jay?
- 1:09:20Speaker 2: Jay? When you realize they finished sending you your last check?
- 1:09:24Speaker 8: Yeah, ain't too many people with a job got enough
- 1:09:29Speaker 8: savings and last man, you know.
- 1:09:31Speaker 2: What I mean?
- 1:09:32Speaker 6: Yeah?
- 1:09:32Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah six months. Very few people got six months
- 1:09:36Speaker 2: of savings set up?
- 1:09:38Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 1:09:39Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 1:09:39Speaker 5: When you realize that you're off when you realize that
- 1:09:44Speaker 5: you're off from work that day real early. I mean
- 1:09:48Speaker 5: you off real early, like whoa, I'm off, like like
- 1:09:52Speaker 5: eleven thirty A. M.
- 1:09:53Speaker 2: You off.
- 1:09:56Speaker 9: Back?
- 1:09:57Speaker 2: Yeah, you ain't even making lunch. You off, and they
- 1:10:00Speaker 2: don't call nobody because everybody else is at Yeah.
- 1:10:06Speaker 5: And then when you called back, they all of a
- 1:10:08Speaker 5: sudden whispering to you, and you not even now they whispering.
- 1:10:12Speaker 2: Man, I heard you, I heard you left. I can't
- 1:10:16Speaker 2: I gotta go. I mean, like what we were just funny?
- 1:10:18Speaker 2: What the hell happened?
- 1:10:19Speaker 6: Yeah?
- 1:10:20Speaker 11: Yeah, yeah, I got into I worked. I worked at
- 1:10:29Speaker 11: the gap. I worked at the gap, and I'm aneath.
- 1:10:31Speaker 11: I'm a neath fanatic, y'all know that. So my job
- 1:10:34Speaker 11: was sure, baby gap.
- 1:10:40Speaker 2: I worked at the gap. I'm over the sweat wall.
- 1:10:43Speaker 11: I got the sweat wall immaculate, and I mean everything
- 1:10:45Speaker 11: folded just it's picture purpose. And I got into it
- 1:10:47Speaker 11: with a customer that just started pulling stuff out the
- 1:10:50Speaker 11: sweat while trying to try and stuff and just yanking
- 1:10:52Speaker 11: stuff out. And the manager came up saying, hey, you
- 1:10:55Speaker 11: just do what you're supposed to do. You you fix
- 1:10:57Speaker 11: it and you put it back. I said, what the
- 1:10:58Speaker 11: hell you talking to I had this wall perfect over here,
- 1:11:02Speaker 11: But what are you gonna do?
- 1:11:03Speaker 2: Man, I'm gonna go down here. I went down into
- 1:11:05Speaker 2: windows and got me a burger camera hands. I just
- 1:11:08Speaker 2: couldn't take it.
- 1:11:11Speaker 1: A perfect wall, really, Tommy.
- 1:11:18Speaker 2: For him to get all them sweats up that hound
- 1:11:20Speaker 2: that wall.
- 1:11:23Speaker 10: Today's trending stories coming up in twenty minutes after. Right
- 1:11:26Speaker 10: after this, you're listening Hardy Morning Show. All right, Carla,
- 1:11:34Speaker 10: me and just some you know, just some random girls
- 1:11:37Speaker 10: were talking. This question came up. It's like, because you know,
- 1:11:43Speaker 10: we were taught to make up the bed when we
- 1:11:44Speaker 10: get out, make up the bed. No what it wants
- 1:11:46Speaker 10: to come home to an unmade bed. But in our
- 1:11:50Speaker 10: house it's whoever is last, whoever gets up last. If
- 1:11:53Speaker 10: I get up first, then you know Nesto has to
- 1:11:55Speaker 10: make up the bed and he makes it up really well.
- 1:11:57Speaker 1: I must say all about really well.
- 1:12:01Speaker 3: Next Stone needs to call my husband Ash because he
- 1:12:05Speaker 3: ain't making up the bed like that. He will get now,
- 1:12:08Speaker 3: you know, because we have to be to work so early.
- 1:12:10Speaker 3: Of course we I get up first, but he gets
- 1:12:14Speaker 3: up early too. He'll go to the gym and all
- 1:12:16Speaker 3: that to make sure I'm up and but nah, child,
- 1:12:18Speaker 3: I got to come right back in there and make
- 1:12:21Speaker 3: up the bed.
- 1:12:21Speaker 1: Just sad, just sad.
- 1:12:24Speaker 10: But let me let me I'm fussed and nagged enough. Okay,
- 1:12:28Speaker 10: you've gotten it just right, all right, hey, listen, follow us, yes,
- 1:12:32Speaker 10: follow us on social media.
- 1:12:33Speaker 3: I'm on the Gram at my Girl Shirley and I'm
- 1:12:37Speaker 3: at Lips by Carla. Don't worry, we'll post our bedrooms.
- 1:12:41Speaker 1: I'll post the.
- 1:12:41Speaker 7: Bed Yeah, all.
- 1:12:44Speaker 10: Right, all right, we'll have more of the Steve Harvey
- 1:12:48Speaker 10: Morning Show make Up your Bed coming up in thirty
- 1:12:52Speaker 10: three minutes after the hour. Right after this, you're listening
- 1:12:56Speaker 10: Steve Harvey Morning Show. We here at the Steve Every
- 1:13:00Speaker 10: Morning Show. Love food, all of us. But there are
- 1:13:02Speaker 10: a lot of foods we think are from other countries
- 1:13:04Speaker 10: that are actually invented in a good old USA. And
- 1:13:08Speaker 10: those are some of the most famous ones. Like fortune
- 1:13:11Speaker 10: cookies invented right here. Yeah, it was actually invented in
- 1:13:15Speaker 10: San Francisco by a Japanese American baker.
- 1:13:19Speaker 7: Did y'all know that? Did you notice?
- 1:13:21Speaker 1: See I didn't.
- 1:13:22Speaker 2: Fortune cook They don't taste good.
- 1:13:26Speaker 1: I like them with chocolate, white chocolate them, then they're good.
- 1:13:35Speaker 2: Surely excuse me. Chocolate is the worst thing you could
- 1:13:38Speaker 2: put in your body.
- 1:13:39Speaker 1: I absolutely know that. But it tastes real good. That's
- 1:13:42Speaker 1: all I'm saying.
- 1:13:43Speaker 2: I'm sorry you a very wonderful health reason.
- 1:13:48Speaker 9: And you just it.
- 1:13:49Speaker 6: I know that.
- 1:13:53Speaker 1: I don't eat it now, but yeah I used to,
- 1:13:55Speaker 1: and it's delicious. Orange chicken. How about that one?
- 1:13:59Speaker 7: That's good?
- 1:14:00Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 1:14:00Speaker 10: It was created in Hawaii in nineteen eighty seven by
- 1:14:04Speaker 10: Panda Express chef Andy Kao or Kyle.
- 1:14:09Speaker 9: Wow.
- 1:14:11Speaker 2: Know who came up with the crush station? Who came
- 1:14:18Speaker 2: up with them? They did? They do a copy?
- 1:14:24Speaker 1: German chocolate cake came German?
- 1:14:27Speaker 8: My mama, yeah, mama, it is. I don't know who
- 1:14:33Speaker 8: made it. Befoult, I don't know who made it, befolt.
- 1:14:35Speaker 8: Ain't nobody make it? Like huddle ear lost Verra Hobby
- 1:14:39Speaker 8: greatest piece of German chocolate cake?
- 1:14:41Speaker 10: Hold up, wow, have heard German chocolate. But anyway, it
- 1:14:47Speaker 10: has nothing to do with Germany. It's because of its name,
- 1:14:51Speaker 10: Samuel German that is called German.
- 1:14:54Speaker 17: Glad people they're perfected it. Oh yes, hello, that coconut. Yeah,
- 1:15:04Speaker 17: we've had a lot taken from us.
- 1:15:06Speaker 9: Hey, the right that.
- 1:15:11Speaker 2: We took we took the cake. Okay, okay, love we
- 1:15:16Speaker 2: love German cake, all right.
- 1:15:18Speaker 1: English muffins, English muffins from England.
- 1:15:21Speaker 3: From England.
- 1:15:24Speaker 10: They were actually invented in New York City in nineteen
- 1:15:26Speaker 10: eighty four by English immigrant Samuel Bass Thomas.
- 1:15:31Speaker 1: They were rich, they were really nothing.
- 1:15:33Speaker 2: Let me give you some real dishes that was created
- 1:15:37Speaker 2: right here in America.
- 1:15:38Speaker 16: Okay, come on, what you got shit lits, yes, work
- 1:15:43Speaker 16: it out, boy, whether they want to be or not,
- 1:15:45Speaker 16: fried sprail yes, hot dogs and pork and beans.
- 1:15:54Speaker 1: Yeah, American dish. All right, there you have it. You're
- 1:16:01Speaker 1: listening Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:16:04Speaker 10: All right, guys, this is our last break of the
- 1:16:06Speaker 10: day and it is time for some closing remarks from
- 1:16:10Speaker 10: the one and only Steve Harvey.
- 1:16:13Speaker 8: Well, it's been a good day. Let me ask you,
- 1:16:16Speaker 8: guys a question, just off the top of your head.
- 1:16:20Speaker 8: What do you all and anybody can answer this question.
- 1:16:23Speaker 8: What do you think is probably the number one cause
- 1:16:28Speaker 8: that gets in the way of people moving forward or
- 1:16:33Speaker 8: what has gotten in the way of you over the
- 1:16:35Speaker 8: years from moving forward, Because I mean it happens to
- 1:16:39Speaker 8: all of us, myself included. I'm just asking a question
- 1:16:42Speaker 8: to the crew.
- 1:16:45Speaker 1: Fear of failure, failure, fear of success.
- 1:16:52Speaker 8: Sometimes trying to fix the past, wow, and lack of faith. Well, okay,
- 1:17:00Speaker 8: let me address three things. This is a jo I'm
- 1:17:04Speaker 8: gonna try to do this quickly. Let's talk about fixing
- 1:17:07Speaker 8: the past. Let's talk briefly about fear, and let's talk
- 1:17:12Speaker 8: about the fear of being successful. Let's start with the
- 1:17:16Speaker 8: fear of being successful. A lot of people have a
- 1:17:21Speaker 8: fear of becoming successful because they're not sure of the
- 1:17:26Speaker 8: requirements that will be placed on them once they become successful.
- 1:17:35Speaker 8: Some people think that they won't be able to handle
- 1:17:41Speaker 8: the regiment of being successful, and that right there is
- 1:17:47Speaker 8: you're not understanding how God works. God never puts you
- 1:17:52Speaker 8: someplace He doesn't prepare you to be. Do you understand
- 1:17:57Speaker 8: that as you become successful that you going to be tested,
- 1:18:01Speaker 8: You're going to be challenged, You're going to be faced
- 1:18:05Speaker 8: with all types of situations that will better you, equip you,
- 1:18:09Speaker 8: and make you the experienced person that you need to
- 1:18:12Speaker 8: be to be.
- 1:18:13Speaker 2: In the place that you're going to finally wind up
- 1:18:16Speaker 2: in it.
- 1:18:17Speaker 8: Stop being afraid of success and understand that God is
- 1:18:20Speaker 8: not going to put you in a room that you're
- 1:18:22Speaker 8: not qualified or equipped to be in. That's for starters. Now,
- 1:18:26Speaker 8: let's talk about fixing the past. You ready, you can't,
- 1:18:34Speaker 8: you can't. You get no do overs in life. The
- 1:18:39Speaker 8: problem that people have when they try to fix the
- 1:18:42Speaker 8: past is because they are surrounded by people who are
- 1:18:45Speaker 8: constantly reminding them of the past and telling them you're
- 1:18:48Speaker 8: not this, and you're not that, and you can't do
- 1:18:51Speaker 8: this because you did that and I remember when you
- 1:18:53Speaker 8: did that. When you remove those people from your life
- 1:18:56Speaker 8: who are constantly trying to remind you of your pass
- 1:19:00Speaker 8: you will.
- 1:19:01Speaker 2: Then lose the need to have to fix it.
- 1:19:06Speaker 8: See, but you have to fix it when there are
- 1:19:08Speaker 8: people in your life and including you, who keep bringing
- 1:19:12Speaker 8: the past to the forefront to put it in your presence.
- 1:19:16Speaker 8: That's why the Lord's prayer is simple, give us this
- 1:19:20Speaker 8: day our daily bread.
- 1:19:24Speaker 2: The Bible very rarely.
- 1:19:26Speaker 8: Talks to you about your past, because it's been forgiven,
- 1:19:32Speaker 8: it's done. I haven't read a whole lot of scriptures
- 1:19:36Speaker 8: to help me with my past. I read a lot
- 1:19:41Speaker 8: of scriptures that talk about Now. I read a lot
- 1:19:48Speaker 8: of scriptures that talks about faith, the belief in things
- 1:19:52Speaker 8: that you cannot see, trusting in his word, holding on
- 1:19:56Speaker 8: to his unchanging hand, realizing that all things are possible
- 1:20:01Speaker 8: through him. I read a lot of scriptures about that,
- 1:20:05Speaker 8: but nothing is more prevalent in our life today than
- 1:20:09Speaker 8: the Lord's prayer, which clearly says, give us this day
- 1:20:13Speaker 8: our daily bread, because tomorrow you have no control over Now.
- 1:20:19Speaker 8: You can have hopes for tomorrow, you can have plans
- 1:20:21Speaker 8: for tomorrow, you can have visions and aspirations for tomorrow.
- 1:20:25Speaker 8: But everything about tomorrow, which I have finally learned, should,
- 1:20:29Speaker 8: should be tempered with the remark if it's God's will
- 1:20:34Speaker 8: and in God's timing. That way, it releases me from
- 1:20:39Speaker 8: having to be worried about the timing of an event,
- 1:20:43Speaker 8: because just because it's been denied, just because it's been delayed,
- 1:20:48Speaker 8: does not mean that it's been denied.
- 1:20:51Speaker 2: I had to learn that. So fixing your past can't
- 1:20:56Speaker 2: be done. What's done is done.
- 1:20:58Speaker 8: First thing you want to do about fixing the past,
- 1:21:01Speaker 8: remove people from your life who are constantly reminding you
- 1:21:03Speaker 8: of your past. And then, secondly, forgive yourself, just as
- 1:21:08Speaker 8: God has done. I used to do it to myself
- 1:21:11Speaker 8: all the time. Even at my daughter's wedding, I made
- 1:21:15Speaker 8: the statement I said, I've spent all of my adult
- 1:21:19Speaker 8: life trying to fix the mistakes I made as a
- 1:21:22Speaker 8: young man. You know what Bishop Jakes told me, who
- 1:21:25Speaker 8: was at my daughter's when he said you're too hard
- 1:21:27Speaker 8: on yourself. He said, you're too hard on yourself. You
- 1:21:31Speaker 8: need to stop doing that to yourself, Steve, And he
- 1:21:34Speaker 8: was right because I keep trying to do that and
- 1:21:38Speaker 8: I had to stop. And last, but not least, let's
- 1:21:41Speaker 8: just talk about fear itself. The majority of us have
- 1:21:46Speaker 8: a fear of success and a fear of failure because
- 1:21:51Speaker 8: we don't have a strong enough relationship with God. I'm
- 1:21:57Speaker 8: telling you, man, God e raises fear. God puts you
- 1:22:01Speaker 8: in a comfort zone. I mean, if you think about
- 1:22:04Speaker 8: it just for a second. Everybody, everything that you've ever
- 1:22:08Speaker 8: gone through, and I've said this, I can't tell you
- 1:22:09Speaker 8: how many times on the show.
- 1:22:11Speaker 2: Everything you've gone through, every challenge you've.
- 1:22:14Speaker 8: Ever had, every setback, every hardship, you've managed somehow to
- 1:22:19Speaker 8: this point to get past all of them. Your track
- 1:22:22Speaker 8: record for surviving rough days and challenges is one hundred percent.
- 1:22:27Speaker 8: Why would God not continue to do that for you.
- 1:22:30Speaker 8: Lose your fear because God is near. Lose your fear
- 1:22:35Speaker 8: because God is near. Those are the three things I
- 1:22:39Speaker 8: wanted to address. Thank you for giving me those closing remarks,
- 1:22:42Speaker 8: I have a great day.
- 1:22:43Speaker 2: Talk to God. He'd love to hear from you. See
- 1:22:45Speaker 2: you tomorrow.
- 1:22:46Speaker 9: Bye.
