- 0:00Speaker 1: Today's show is pre recorded. Y'all know what time y'all
- 0:05Speaker 1: don't know y'all back a suit, looking back to back down,
- 0:13Speaker 1: giving them like the milling bus bus things. And it's
- 0:19Speaker 1: not true. Good Steve Star, please don't joy. You gotta
- 0:59Speaker 1: use that turn out. You gotta turn to turn them out.
- 1:42Speaker 1: Turn got to turn out to turn turn the water
- 1:47Speaker 1: the water. Come, come on your thing, I show we
- 2:02Speaker 1: all a good morning everybody, and you're listening to the voice.
- 2:06Speaker 1: Come on dig me now, one and only Steve Harvey
- 2:09Speaker 1: got a radio show. Well, nothing changes about that. Nothing
- 2:14Speaker 1: changes about that. Man. I was just so getting ready
- 2:19Speaker 1: to come on to air this morning. I was just thinking, man,
- 2:25Speaker 1: I was just having a reflective moment of just how
- 2:28Speaker 1: really good God has been to me. I just it's
- 2:33Speaker 1: it's it's man. Let me just say that again, how
- 2:37Speaker 1: really good God has been to me. And here's a
- 2:42Speaker 1: cold part. In spite of myself, you understand, in spite
- 2:46Speaker 1: of all my shortcomings, in spite of all of my
- 2:51Speaker 1: flaws and and and and in spite of all of
- 2:55Speaker 1: what anybody has said about me, God, through his grace
- 3:01Speaker 1: and mercy, just keeps me anyway. So many of us
- 3:05Speaker 1: are exceptional people, but we refuse to just go ahead
- 3:13Speaker 1: and be exceptional. We settle for the ordinary, We follow
- 3:20Speaker 1: the pack, We try to fit in. Man, oh man,
- 3:25Speaker 1: oh man, You know, I've heard my wife say this
- 3:27Speaker 1: to my children all the time. When she's scolding talking
- 3:30Speaker 1: to him, she'd be talking to him about leadership. You know,
- 3:34Speaker 1: why are you following everybody when God clearly made you
- 3:36Speaker 1: to lead? So many of us are born, and so
- 3:40Speaker 1: many of you are born to be exceptional people, but
- 3:43Speaker 1: we always trying to follow the pack. Why would you
- 3:48Speaker 1: try to fit in? Why would you try to be
- 3:53Speaker 1: like everybody else be ordinary? Why would you follow the
- 3:57Speaker 1: pack when God has created you to be exceptional? The
- 4:02Speaker 1: key word in exceptional is accept you. You ever done
- 4:07Speaker 1: this right here? You know everybody did that, accept me.
- 4:11Speaker 1: Everybody felt that way except me. Everybody said that except me.
- 4:18Speaker 1: Everybody won't wanted that. Accept me. Everybody went over that
- 4:24Speaker 1: except me. Everybody jumped in except me, accept me. See
- 4:31Speaker 1: why have you saying that in your life? If you
- 4:34Speaker 1: were not to be exceptional? See you got to say
- 4:38Speaker 1: everybody accept me at one point in You're to I
- 4:41Speaker 1: don't know who ain't done it? You know everybody wanted.
- 4:44Speaker 1: Everybody voted no except me. See it? So you're not
- 4:49Speaker 1: You're not created to follow the pack. You ain't created
- 4:52Speaker 1: to fit in. You ain't created to, oh, you know,
- 4:56Speaker 1: to be ordinary. You will create it to be exceptional,
- 5:00Speaker 1: as exceptional as your fingerprint on your finger is. You
- 5:04Speaker 1: were created to be exceptional. Why not make this the
- 5:07Speaker 1: year that you go ahead on and be exceptional? Why
- 5:12Speaker 1: won't this be the year that you decide in your mind?
- 5:16Speaker 1: But just has to be a decision that we make.
- 5:18Speaker 1: Now we're not following the pack no more. We're not
- 5:21Speaker 1: trying to fit in no more. We ain't settling for
- 5:25Speaker 1: ordinary no more. We're gonna be exceptional. But you know,
- 5:29Speaker 1: you got you got to go ahead and follow that.
- 5:31Speaker 1: You got to get on the exceptional path because that's
- 5:34Speaker 1: what you were created for. Why be ordinary? You know?
- 5:37Speaker 1: But all of this this comes to it has to
- 5:40Speaker 1: start with a thought. You got to first think something
- 5:45Speaker 1: thought to become things. A man is as he thinketh
- 5:49Speaker 1: that's all you will ever be. So what are your
- 5:53Speaker 1: thoughts today? Why not have exceptional thoughts instead of ordinary thoughts?
- 5:57Speaker 1: Why not have exceptional thoughts instead of fitting the in thoughts?
- 6:01Speaker 1: So why you want to be like everybody else? Why
- 6:04Speaker 1: you want to be ordinary when you could possibly be
- 6:07Speaker 1: extraordinary with a change of your mind, a change of
- 6:11Speaker 1: your venue, And you don't have to be any other
- 6:14Speaker 1: kind of way just because my mama was this way,
- 6:17Speaker 1: my daddy was this way, or this the school I
- 6:19Speaker 1: went to? This? What race I belong to? This is
- 6:22Speaker 1: my sexual preference, this is my this, this is my
- 6:25Speaker 1: dadd Why? How many? How many? How many excuses? You need?
- 6:28Speaker 1: I'm an excuse? What? What? What? What? You? What's it
- 6:31Speaker 1: gonna be this year that we let another three hundred
- 6:35Speaker 1: and sixty five days slip by without improving our condition,
- 6:39Speaker 1: our place, our spot, our life, the quality of life
- 6:44Speaker 1: we have. We cannot afford to keep letting all these
- 6:49Speaker 1: years go by without changing. You're an exceptional person. How
- 6:55Speaker 1: many times have you set up and said, everybody did
- 6:58Speaker 1: that accept me? You know I was only everybody jumped
- 7:02Speaker 1: in accept me. I told him I knew it. Everybody
- 7:07Speaker 1: voted for that. Accept me, And now look at him, man,
- 7:11Speaker 1: it seemed like everybody went that way, accept me. Okay,
- 7:16Speaker 1: do you get it? Do you understand what's being said
- 7:21Speaker 1: to you that don't accept me is because couldn't it
- 7:25Speaker 1: be because you're an exceptional person, and it's time for
- 7:28Speaker 1: you to take control of that. It's time for you
- 7:31Speaker 1: to start thinking different. It's time for you to start
- 7:33Speaker 1: acting on what you think. It's time for you to
- 7:36Speaker 1: start doing something about it. It's time for you to
- 7:39Speaker 1: stop taking each and every day that God gives us
- 7:41Speaker 1: for granted and letting them go by the wayside. Like
- 7:44Speaker 1: you got plenty more. Well, you may have plenty more,
- 7:47Speaker 1: but guess what what you're wasting the ones you got
- 7:50Speaker 1: for I got you young, and you and you feel
- 7:54Speaker 1: like you're gonna live forever. Da Okay, cool, But let
- 7:57Speaker 1: me ask you something. See here here, here, here go
- 8:00Speaker 1: the part about pose you do live? See see everybody
- 8:03Speaker 1: willing about dying. But I got news for you. Suppose
- 8:06Speaker 1: you keep on living. You want to keep living in
- 8:08Speaker 1: the condition you in now. You want to keep living
- 8:11Speaker 1: with the money you got now. You want to keep
- 8:13Speaker 1: living with the relationship you got now. You want to
- 8:16Speaker 1: keep living by yourself like you are now. You want
- 8:19Speaker 1: to keep wanting the right relationship, the right man, the
- 8:21Speaker 1: the right woman, but you keep getting the wrong one.
- 8:23Speaker 1: You want to keep doing that for the rest of
- 8:26Speaker 1: your life. Problem, ain't dying. It's problem is if you
- 8:28Speaker 1: keep on living. Who wants to keep on living just
- 8:31Speaker 1: the way they are right now? And if you can
- 8:34Speaker 1: say I'm cool what I am, just the way I
- 8:36Speaker 1: am right now, it in't cool. This conversation ain't for you.
- 8:39Speaker 1: I ain't got no problem with that. You know, you
- 8:42Speaker 1: wanna say, greatness ain't for everybody. Being exceptional, ain't for
- 8:47Speaker 1: everybody becoming extraordinary. It ain't fun everybody. Heck, becoming successful
- 8:52Speaker 1: ain't fun everybody. I got it. And you can come
- 8:55Speaker 1: up with a way to justify your non existence in
- 8:58Speaker 1: your ordinary life. All you won't, And that's fine and dandy.
- 9:01Speaker 1: I ain't got no problem with it. Because some people
- 9:04Speaker 1: just gonna be regular. Some people just gonna follow the pack,
- 9:08Speaker 1: follow the crowd. Some people just wants to fit in.
- 9:12Speaker 1: But if you're not that person, if you want to
- 9:14Speaker 1: be extraordinary, if you want to be exceptional, if you
- 9:18Speaker 1: want to be if you want to dad or be
- 9:19Speaker 1: great at something, and you got to change your mind set.
- 9:23Speaker 1: You got to get with your creating, find out what
- 9:25Speaker 1: he created you fault. You gotta quit thinking of things
- 9:28Speaker 1: just in your own thought process, you know, lean not
- 9:31Speaker 1: to your own understanding I don't know what that is,
- 9:34Speaker 1: but it's in there somewhere. Seeing. Once you lean, if
- 9:37Speaker 1: you lean to your own understanding, you know what it's
- 9:39Speaker 1: gonna do. It's gonna limit you, man, it's gonna limit you.
- 9:43Speaker 1: Why not see what God got for you. I would
- 9:46Speaker 1: rather know what God got for me than to think
- 9:48Speaker 1: of all the things I could because I can't out
- 9:51Speaker 1: think him out and tried it before. All right, it's
- 9:53Speaker 1: just the beginning. We're gonna have a good one. Man.
- 9:55Speaker 1: Let's go. You're listening tow ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls,
- 10:05Speaker 1: circus performers, athletes, talk show host social media influencers, inmates,

- 11:27Speaker 1: my damn self. For god, I was on the video
- 11:30Speaker 1: really really it just I just started singing and where
- 11:38Speaker 1: a pool you're on the radio, st You're nothing. You're
- 11:42Speaker 1: having fun at your john Yeah school. You know. I
- 11:46Speaker 1: was gonna ask you remember the other day a couple
- 11:48Speaker 1: of days ago, we got really deep one morning when
- 11:50Speaker 1: we opened the show and talked about our regrets and stuff. Yeah,
- 11:53Speaker 1: doing it again. Well, no, come on, we're not doing
- 11:58Speaker 1: that again. You can't handle We're not doing that again, Steve.
- 12:02Speaker 1: I just wanted to. I just thought about something that
- 12:04Speaker 1: I didn't regret in my life, you know, because you
- 12:07Speaker 1: have you do have regrets. But one thing I do
- 12:09Speaker 1: not regret, and that's well, I mean, should I say
- 12:12Speaker 1: it ahead? I was just thinking it to myself. But anyway,
- 12:15Speaker 1: one thing I don't regret is cutting off my six finger,
- 12:18Speaker 1: because you know I had an extra finger on each hand.
- 12:21Speaker 1: I got him cut off. It was most I was
- 12:25Speaker 1: kissing because that extra fing on the back, I don't hear.
- 12:28Speaker 1: I don't regret. I don't regret doing that. I just
- 12:32Speaker 1: wanted to cause I tell you right now, if you
- 12:34Speaker 1: shake my hand, I'm gonna snatch back. And that's what
- 12:36Speaker 1: was happening when I was little. Nobody wants my hand.
- 12:43Speaker 1: I can't even tell I shake your hand. Now. I'm
- 12:46Speaker 1: gonna try to feel around because I'm probably a nub
- 12:48Speaker 1: over there. It is. It's like where you used to start.
- 12:51Speaker 1: That you's got to be at least a little shiny spot.
- 12:57Speaker 1: Just yeah, that's my that's my. Did they charge your
- 13:00Speaker 1: extra when you got your name? He did nail a nail.
- 13:06Speaker 1: It was just about them. I'm just most people only
- 13:09Speaker 1: got photos because the baby toe don't count. It's just
- 13:12Speaker 1: tucked off in there. Yeah, but if you lose it,
- 13:14Speaker 1: you will fall, Okay, yeah right now? Yeah, I forgot
- 13:24Speaker 1: Carlin Broker. All right, coming up a thirty two. I
- 13:28Speaker 1: got a pardner that ain't got a big toe, and
- 13:30Speaker 1: he wears salmon. Oh, he gotta stay leading forward, all right,
- 13:38Speaker 1: we gotta go. Coming up at thirty two after the hour,
- 13:41Speaker 1: asked the CLLO right after this, you're listening to Steve
- 13:45Speaker 1: Morning Show. All right, it is time now for Steve's
- 13:48Speaker 1: favorite segment. It's called asked the CLO the Chief Love Officer.
- 13:52Speaker 1: This one is from Lynn and Maryland. She says, I've
- 13:56Speaker 1: been married for ten years and I thought I had
- 13:58Speaker 1: a good marriage until I got into an argument over
- 14:01Speaker 1: a game of Uno with my sister in law. I
- 14:04Speaker 1: beat her three times in a row and she got
- 14:07Speaker 1: mad and went off on me. She told me, that's
- 14:10Speaker 1: all it is, and too many reverses right after you
- 14:17Speaker 1: say it Uno, Right, Okay? Her sister went off on her.
- 14:22Speaker 1: She told me, my husband does not like my natural
- 14:25Speaker 1: short hair, my cooking is terrible, and my sex is
- 14:28Speaker 1: boring him to death. My husband didn't say a word.
- 14:32Speaker 1: Here we are a week later, and I'm still not
- 14:35Speaker 1: speaking to him. He hasn't even apologized. Is it safe
- 14:38Speaker 1: to assume he told his sister this stuff about me?
- 14:42Speaker 1: Hey yeah, hell ye. He said you can't cook, you
- 14:45Speaker 1: got shot him and your sexist draft. He said it.
- 14:50Speaker 1: He said it to his sister. All this, all this
- 14:56Speaker 1: because she said Uno, and you pull out draw she
- 15:01Speaker 1: poured by fifty cards. Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah, but he
- 15:05Speaker 1: could have at least apologized something. He cannot listen to
- 15:12Speaker 1: me if he cannot say, I was just Look, I
- 15:17Speaker 1: was just with my sister and when he was talking,
- 15:20Speaker 1: because you can't tell a woman you was talking to
- 15:23Speaker 1: her about another woman. Yeah, she don't kill who the
- 15:26Speaker 1: woman is? You got short hair? She don't. Hearn't like
- 15:29Speaker 1: your short hair. He don't like your cooking, and he
- 15:32Speaker 1: don't like you love it. That's everything? Ye When did
- 15:36Speaker 1: you get all that him out? To draw? Four? All right?
- 15:41Speaker 1: This one is from he don't like the way you look.
- 15:48Speaker 1: Those are three very important things, right, that's everything? And
- 15:52Speaker 1: if two out of three ain't bad over here, all right.
- 15:56Speaker 1: Karan in Southfield, Michigan says, I'm a forty two year
- 15:59Speaker 1: old woman and I was checking the texts on my
- 16:02Speaker 1: man's phone yesterday. Yes, he allows me to check his
- 16:05Speaker 1: phone whenever I want to. I can't across the text
- 16:08Speaker 1: message about child support for a seventeen year old daughter.
- 16:11Speaker 1: I asked him about it, and he admitted that he
- 16:13Speaker 1: has another child and he didn't tell me about her
- 16:16Speaker 1: because it might run me off. He is a total
- 16:18Speaker 1: of five children that I know of. Should I even
- 16:21Speaker 1: be planning a future with a man that hides children
- 16:24Speaker 1: and doesn't pay all of his child's support, that's a
- 16:27Speaker 1: good one. Steve well wait admitted you saw a text
- 16:31Speaker 1: about child support. He could be behind. He got five.
- 16:35Speaker 1: You know he could be behind. He didn't tell you
- 16:38Speaker 1: about the child because he didn't want to run you off.
- 16:39Speaker 1: He thought the foe was Max. You know five. Now
- 16:47Speaker 1: you think about not marrying him. You know what I'm saying.
- 16:49Speaker 1: He was right, you know, but I think you have
- 16:53Speaker 1: to stop the fact that the matter is he has
- 16:56Speaker 1: been paying child support. He might be in the reels
- 16:58Speaker 1: a little bit. That don't make him a horrible person.
- 17:02Speaker 1: Could have just got a little side tracked on something.
- 17:04Speaker 1: But he trying to do right and take care of child.
- 17:07Speaker 1: He didn't tell you about it. But how long have
- 17:09Speaker 1: y'all been dating? How long they say they've been married
- 17:11Speaker 1: to day? Did it say in the question? No, it isn't. Yes,
- 17:17Speaker 1: she's planning. You know. You check your man phone. You
- 17:20Speaker 1: found out, you found out he got some text in it.
- 17:22Speaker 1: Found about another baby seventeen years old. What you're gonna do?
- 17:25Speaker 1: He's seventy baby seventeen baby seven time? I supported almost
- 17:29Speaker 1: over it. Yeah, you ride this one not got about
- 17:31Speaker 1: another year unless he rids good point. Her point is
- 17:35Speaker 1: that he was lying. Well, he didn't lie, he didn't
- 17:38Speaker 1: tell you about it. The same thing, same. No, that's
- 17:41Speaker 1: not that's not the same it is it is junior.
- 17:48Speaker 1: Is that the same thing? Hell, Tommy, is that the
- 17:51Speaker 1: same thing that the sixteen? Is that the same thing? Absolutely?
- 17:55Speaker 1: Note it is holding information. It's different from lying. Stent
- 18:01Speaker 1: of O mission we win, O mission YEA is different
- 18:07Speaker 1: from omitting. Steve, he lied if he told her he
- 18:12Speaker 1: had four kids and he got five? Lied? No, okay,
- 18:16Speaker 1: Shirley asked me a question. Watch this just ask Is
- 18:20Speaker 1: that a red shirt you have on there, Steve? No,
- 18:24Speaker 1: what do you mean? No, clearly it's red. You just
- 18:27Speaker 1: lied to me. No, I didn't. This shirt. This shirt
- 18:31Speaker 1: is red and black. I think you were gonna say that.
- 18:35Speaker 1: I knew you were gonna say that because you got
- 18:37Speaker 1: riding on the side and what you're talking about. You know,
- 18:41Speaker 1: you're looking at the wrong side of whatever. Right like
- 18:47Speaker 1: most hill in Missouri says, I'm a thirty four year
- 18:53Speaker 1: old man engaged to a beautiful forty three year old woman.
- 18:57Speaker 1: Before we met, she was in a relationship with him.
- 19:00Speaker 1: Man for thirteen years and her ex boyfriend got sick
- 19:03Speaker 1: last year and she was overly concerned with his health.
- 19:06Speaker 1: He's much better now, but she calls to check on
- 19:08Speaker 1: him and is offered to take him food. I feel
- 19:11Speaker 1: like she's doing too much and this dude is taking
- 19:13Speaker 1: advantage of it. I told her that I want her
- 19:16Speaker 1: to stop talking to him, and she said that I
- 19:18Speaker 1: am being too controlling and making her have second thoughts
- 19:21Speaker 1: about marrying me. Am I wrong? Well? You know, man,
- 19:25Speaker 1: if she was with a man for thirteen years and
- 19:27Speaker 1: he got really sick, when you break up with a person,
- 19:30Speaker 1: it doesn't mean you don't you know. She may not
- 19:32Speaker 1: be in love, but she wants loved the man, and
- 19:36Speaker 1: she's just caring for him a little bit. And now
- 19:38Speaker 1: I know that's hard on you because you're younger, she older,
- 19:42Speaker 1: But you know, sometimes like that, But you know, she
- 19:45Speaker 1: just seeing about him. The man sick. You know, he
- 19:48Speaker 1: could have almost could have got out. He might have corona.
- 19:50Speaker 1: You know, you don't ever know good. You gotta get
- 19:55Speaker 1: some soup over there in a mask. You gotta get
- 19:57Speaker 1: them too. Some hands sometimes flip that if the situation
- 20:01Speaker 1: were reversed, he was the one going to his ex Oh,
- 20:06Speaker 1: she have a hearted exactly. Yeah, so I understand. I
- 20:10Speaker 1: understand his his doing the most and the dude probably
- 20:14Speaker 1: is taking advantage of But now it's do you trust her? Right? See,
- 20:20Speaker 1: if some of these relationships, you're gonna have to put
- 20:22Speaker 1: your big boy pants. O good advice when it comes
- 20:27Speaker 1: to exs. I ain't got no big pants or whatever.
- 20:30Speaker 1: Coming up next, it is the nephew to run that prank.
- 20:35Speaker 1: Tidy White is now right after this you're listening show.
- 20:42Speaker 1: Right now, the nephew in the building with today's prank
- 20:45Speaker 1: phone call, run that prank back. What you got next?
- 20:47Speaker 1: Copper's funeral at the club, Coppa's funeral at the club.
- 20:54Speaker 1: Let's go, let's let's go on on sending Topahon the
- 20:56Speaker 1: right way at the club, cat Doc, Yeah, trying to
- 21:01Speaker 1: reach your James James, James, Yeah, yeah, what's up? Hey,
- 21:06Speaker 1: this this is a Gerald. Uh. I was a friend
- 21:09Speaker 1: of uh uh your your friend Chopper, yeah, h and
- 21:14Speaker 1: Chopper just uh passed away last week? Right, Yeah, I
- 21:19Speaker 1: know they posed had the funeral and stuff over at
- 21:22Speaker 1: uh at mon Baptist Church. And uh, I don't really
- 21:26Speaker 1: know you, but me me and me and Chopper and
- 21:28Speaker 1: a bunch of wrestlers. Man, we used to hang out
- 21:30Speaker 1: at the club not too far from the house. You know.
- 21:32Speaker 1: That's pretty much with Chopper world all the time at
- 21:36Speaker 1: the club. Anyway, what a bunch of us was over
- 21:38Speaker 1: at the club talking, man, and I was we was
- 21:41Speaker 1: really want to reach out to one of the family members,
- 21:43Speaker 1: you know, And then somebody said you was, you know,
- 21:45Speaker 1: kind of a good friend of Hells And when we
- 21:49Speaker 1: we we we decided to call you and see if
- 21:51Speaker 1: you didn't mind. Do you think that you can talk
- 21:55Speaker 1: to uh, some of the family members and see if
- 22:00Speaker 1: they don't mind having the funeral at the club. At
- 22:04Speaker 1: the club, let me let me try to explain something
- 22:06Speaker 1: to you, Jane. What we're trying to do is, see,
- 22:10Speaker 1: we believe that we believe you said at the club,
- 22:13Speaker 1: come on the club, there's a funeral, and I understand it.
- 22:17Speaker 1: But see, see, chop Choppa ain't really go to church
- 22:21Speaker 1: a whole lot, you know what I'm saying. He didn't
- 22:22Speaker 1: really really go as long as I've been knowing him. Now,
- 22:25Speaker 1: he loved a lord and stuff like that. But I understand,
- 22:31Speaker 1: But see, Chopper woodn't chop Chopper went to the club,
- 22:35Speaker 1: so what I'm asking you will Let's have the funeral
- 22:38Speaker 1: at the club. Hell no, bro, come on, we can't
- 22:42Speaker 1: have no funeral at no club. Man, Come on. What
- 22:45Speaker 1: what I'm saying is, though, is that he wasn't really
- 22:47Speaker 1: no church going person. I believe that a person ought
- 22:51Speaker 1: to be the last words are to be said over
- 22:54Speaker 1: him in a place he's more familiar with. You know
- 22:57Speaker 1: what I'm saying, player, No, I don't. I don't know
- 23:00Speaker 1: what you mean. Playout now, Just just gotta be a funeral. This,
- 23:03Speaker 1: This is this is church for I go to church
- 23:05Speaker 1: and all my folks go to church. Now we we
- 23:07Speaker 1: gotta do this thing up in church. This is a
- 23:09Speaker 1: church thing. But you don't feel But do you understand
- 23:11Speaker 1: where I'm coming from? No, that man ought to going
- 23:13Speaker 1: on and and the last words are to be in
- 23:15Speaker 1: a place he more familiar. Now, if he went to church,
- 23:18Speaker 1: then I understand that. You see him, o bro, Hell no, no,
- 23:22Speaker 1: see this his chance to get itself right, and we don't.
- 23:25Speaker 1: We're gonna have him up in church in front of everybody.
- 23:28Speaker 1: You know that don't make sense? Who's this again? I mean,
- 23:32Speaker 1: who are you? My name is Gerald? But who is Gerald?
- 23:35Speaker 1: I mean? How do you how do you relate to this?
- 23:37Speaker 1: Are you preach your are you no? No? Are you no? No? No? No,
- 23:41Speaker 1: I'm I'm I was friends with Chopper, and see I
- 23:44Speaker 1: hung out at the club and still hang out there
- 23:47Speaker 1: with a whole bunch of you know, was real good
- 23:49Speaker 1: friends with Chopping, and we were saying that, you know,
- 23:52Speaker 1: Chopper's the last words about Chopper are to be said
- 23:56Speaker 1: at the club, because see that's what Chopper would. But
- 23:58Speaker 1: five six days a week, that's what Chopper was. But
- 24:01Speaker 1: what church are you affiliated with? I mean, what? Want
- 24:04Speaker 1: to hell? What I try to talk to the family?
- 24:07Speaker 1: Make me look stupid in front of the family, telling
- 24:10Speaker 1: them to put the thing in a club? How that
- 24:12Speaker 1: gonna go off? Well? See, see that's what I'm saying.
- 24:14Speaker 1: You know them way more than we do, because see
- 24:17Speaker 1: that you're talking about trying to move from a damn
- 24:19Speaker 1: funeral add a church to a damn nightclub or strip
- 24:22Speaker 1: club or something. No, not no strip club, just a nightclub.
- 24:25Speaker 1: It's the same thing, ain't it. I mean you talking
- 24:28Speaker 1: about having folks travel from across the country and meeting
- 24:32Speaker 1: into the damn club. What kind of that? But that's
- 24:35Speaker 1: what Choppa was. That's what Chopper was. I'm gonna look
- 24:39Speaker 1: if I'm the one telling them to rooted to the
- 24:41Speaker 1: damn club, You're gonna look like somebody that's trying to
- 24:44Speaker 1: I'm gonna look like a fool. No, you're not. You're
- 24:46Speaker 1: gonna look like somebody that's trying to keep it real.
- 24:49Speaker 1: Come to the damn funeral if I will do something
- 24:51Speaker 1: like that, Okay, okay, let me ask you this, hitting
- 24:53Speaker 1: or Jane, do you think you can maybe get the
- 24:56Speaker 1: body and bring it over to the club. No, he knows. Well,
- 25:01Speaker 1: I'm just saying before they even do the funeral or whatever.
- 25:04Speaker 1: Hell no, I ain't touching getting the walk in the
- 25:08Speaker 1: dog by my self. Whatna touch the body for? Hell Now,
- 25:12Speaker 1: we're just trying to say our last words. And Chopper
- 25:15Speaker 1: man in a place that Chopper most no helmer Again,
- 25:18Speaker 1: who do you you get my number? Somebody at the
- 25:21Speaker 1: club had your number, said you was print. But what
- 25:24Speaker 1: y'all call me? Of all folks, y'all called me. They
- 25:28Speaker 1: say you good. You in with the family, and you
- 25:30Speaker 1: can tell me with the family. But I ain't end
- 25:32Speaker 1: in the family. Make me look stupid. Hell now, won't y'all?
- 25:36Speaker 1: I get all of them to the family. Y'all call
- 25:39Speaker 1: the family, y'all tell them that yourself. Man, I won't.
- 25:42Speaker 1: I just want trying to get you to brain the
- 25:43Speaker 1: body by man and let us no, I ain't touching
- 25:46Speaker 1: no dead body. We just want to have one last
- 25:49Speaker 1: drink with Chopper. Man. You have one with your boys
- 25:51Speaker 1: and you you get together with him and y'all talk
- 25:55Speaker 1: about bottom and let him know how Chopper water what
- 25:58Speaker 1: kind of prisony? What what kind of we need to
- 26:01Speaker 1: We won't chop up to be there? This Chopper, this
- 26:03Speaker 1: is Chopper you talking about man? Bring y'all to the church.
- 26:07Speaker 1: Y'all need to be up in the church. We want
- 26:10Speaker 1: to have a Chopper at the club. Well, we don't
- 26:12Speaker 1: know mo man, y'all fully well, we know looking like
- 26:17Speaker 1: a fool at the damn funeral? What this about Chopper though?
- 26:21Speaker 1: And then write it about Chopper? You break Chopper to
- 26:23Speaker 1: that club, y'all tripping? Man, I ain't doing I'm just
- 26:27Speaker 1: going to this funeral. I'm gonna care to say what
- 26:29Speaker 1: I think about Chopping and I'm moving. If y'all want
- 26:32Speaker 1: to clay in front of town of y'all call the family,
- 26:34Speaker 1: y'all selling to that look I got one more thing

- 38:03Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show right after this. You're listening to the
- 38:08Speaker 1: stew All right, guys, it's time for comedy route. Let's jay.
- 38:14Speaker 1: You want to explain it? Real question, very simple, it's
- 38:17Speaker 1: very simple. Our comedy ability gets tested every week. Tell
- 38:22Speaker 1: you what you do. Give us five subjects. Put them
- 38:24Speaker 1: on a wheel, spending wheel with a wheel stop. We'll
- 38:27Speaker 1: do the damn thing and we'll do it fast. All right,
- 38:31Speaker 1: here we go. I got the categories, all right. First one,
- 38:33Speaker 1: I think this eggnog has gone bad like that one?
- 38:41Speaker 1: All right? Now that's a thin ass Santa. Next one,
- 38:48Speaker 1: ho ho ho. Yeah. People don't decorate like they used to.
- 38:55Speaker 1: And there's nothing under the tree. Let's go spind the wheel, Christal,
- 39:02Speaker 1: what do you think it's on? Stoff? I don't know
- 39:05Speaker 1: which one. People don't decorate like they used to. People
- 39:14Speaker 1: who don't they don't decorate decorate. People used to go
- 39:17Speaker 1: all out back in the day. The hot ass light
- 39:20Speaker 1: bubs they used to put on the tree, the big
- 39:23Speaker 1: one sixty waters man. You want to you don't have
- 39:28Speaker 1: to use heat during the one of time, just landing
- 39:30Speaker 1: your tree and your your whole living room, was it? Man?
- 39:35Speaker 1: You go all out like they don't go all out
- 39:37Speaker 1: like that. Out each watered them lights. He wanted them
- 39:40Speaker 1: lights look like a table spoon. I remember, yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 39:46Speaker 1: I'll tell you why they don't decorate like these. You know,
- 39:48Speaker 1: you can go to the neighborhood and all our houses
- 39:50Speaker 1: be lit up, stuff all into the yard. Who is
- 39:54Speaker 1: the lazy person? That just little bush? Who did that?
- 39:58Speaker 1: They just put lights? Oh they bush shit and lamb
- 40:01Speaker 1: on the They ain't no padded too. And then they
- 40:05Speaker 1: go right back in the house like we're about to
- 40:07Speaker 1: clap from it. I remember when you used to actually
- 40:14Speaker 1: get your tree flocked. Remember that? Yeah, they take the
- 40:17Speaker 1: white stuff and spray it on your too. You took
- 40:20Speaker 1: the time to wait to get your tree flocked. Now
- 40:22Speaker 1: they go for a raggedy green tree in the living
- 40:25Speaker 1: room and that's it, just tree. What happened to them?
- 40:31Speaker 1: A little bit in reefs that they used to hang
- 40:34Speaker 1: in the window with the one candle in the room.
- 40:38Speaker 1: But it was electric and it flickered and I missed it.
- 40:44Speaker 1: We had them in all three of our windows. Yeah,
- 40:47Speaker 1: you got an activity scene in your living room, but
- 40:50Speaker 1: none of the wise man's got hands because of them
- 40:52Speaker 1: broke all. But you don't care. But ain't none of
- 40:58Speaker 1: the wise Ain't you got no hands to hand? I'll
- 41:03Speaker 1: tell you what you ever walking somebody the house for Christmas.
- 41:06Speaker 1: You're going over there and you're looking at the Christmas
- 41:08Speaker 1: tree and you can see the metal pole in the middle.
- 41:12Speaker 1: Why why y'all didn't put all the pieces out of
- 41:15Speaker 1: the him tree? Here? Looking, I can see the tree
- 41:21Speaker 1: is so draft. Ain't he got no water? What is
- 41:26Speaker 1: going over here? I put this trifling Christmas tree? Christmas?
- 41:31Speaker 1: All the little bristles that you ain't putting no water?
- 41:37Speaker 1: The lights is weighing down ranches where all the silver
- 41:42Speaker 1: sickles a little pencils when used to throw all over
- 41:46Speaker 1: the tree and making yeah, And you take them out
- 41:49Speaker 1: one at the time and put them back in the box,
- 41:55Speaker 1: saving the next year last one. Remember the Nativity scene
- 42:01Speaker 1: that used to get put outside in the yard. Yes,
- 42:05Speaker 1: but every time you passed by a hood Nativity scene
- 42:09Speaker 1: you had to explain it to the kids because items
- 42:13Speaker 1: was always missing. First of all, the wise men walked
- 42:23Speaker 1: because we didn't have the money for the camels. Secondly,
- 42:28Speaker 1: we couldn't use a baby Jesus this year because but
- 42:31Speaker 1: Linda wanted a cabbage patch dial. So that's in the box.
- 42:34Speaker 1: Up May the Mary and Joseph is two pictures of
- 42:39Speaker 1: Deacon Patterson and Sister Porter. All people don't decorate like
- 42:52Speaker 1: they used to. It ain't no hay in the manger.
- 42:56Speaker 1: This just look like burlap sad laid. We're gonna have
- 43:00Speaker 1: money for the break coming up decks. You're listening to
- 43:05Speaker 1: morning show coming up at the top of the hour,
- 43:08Speaker 1: right about four minutes after it's today's Strawberry letter. The
- 43:11Speaker 1: subject I left in the middle of the night. That
- 43:15Speaker 1: the subject. But right now, nephew in the building with
- 43:17Speaker 1: today's frank phone call? What you got for us? Now?
- 43:20Speaker 1: How much money do we have any account? Past watching?
- 43:27Speaker 1: Now came it came in three cents. I broke it up. Now,
- 43:30Speaker 1: how much money do we have any account? Pastor? Pastor, Pastor,
- 43:36Speaker 1: how much money do we have in the account? Let's
- 43:39Speaker 1: go okay, Hello, Hello, I'm trying to reach Pastor Hayes.
- 43:45Speaker 1: Pastor Hayes, how are you doing? This is? This is
- 43:47Speaker 1: brother Lennie Thompson. How you doing? I'm good brother, and
- 43:51Speaker 1: how can I help you? Today? Past I'm actually one
- 43:54Speaker 1: of your members at the church, and I want to
- 43:57Speaker 1: just commend you that you're doing a good job the
- 43:59Speaker 1: way you are display in safety. Let me say that
- 44:03Speaker 1: first and foremost. Okay, cool, thank you. You know, we
- 44:06Speaker 1: just want everybody to be safe and healthy. And your
- 44:09Speaker 1: name again, Brother Lenna Thompson. Okay, And and and other
- 44:13Speaker 1: times I'm kind of about to be in the middle
- 44:15Speaker 1: of dinner. How can I help your brother? Well, here's
- 44:18Speaker 1: what I wanted to ask you, man, uh paras, I
- 44:21Speaker 1: want to ask you this. I know, you know a
- 44:23Speaker 1: lot of people are going through different things, and and
- 44:26Speaker 1: people are, you know, trying to make sure they keep
- 44:28Speaker 1: food and stuff in the house because you know, time
- 44:30Speaker 1: like this, you know you kind of want to stay put,
- 44:33Speaker 1: and but you want to make sure you got enough
- 44:34Speaker 1: food and water and things like that. So but but
- 44:37Speaker 1: but what I want to my reason for calling you
- 44:39Speaker 1: is I wanted to ask you how how much money
- 44:42Speaker 1: do we have in the account? Come again, the church account?
- 44:47Speaker 1: How much money do we have in there? Brother? Brother?
- 44:50Speaker 1: What what do you say? Your name was again, brother,
- 44:53Speaker 1: My name is brother Lenna Thompson. Okay, Brother Thompson. How
- 44:57Speaker 1: did you get my person to sell phone? Thembing to
- 44:59Speaker 1: be calling me home this time of day. Well, I
- 45:01Speaker 1: got this number from one of the brothers at the church.
- 45:04Speaker 1: What what brother the church if they know not to
- 45:06Speaker 1: give my person a number out too to people I
- 45:09Speaker 1: don't know? Are you? Well, I'm a I'm a but
- 45:11Speaker 1: I'm a but I'm a member though I'm a member. Well,
- 45:14Speaker 1: how I long you've been a member? Because I've been
- 45:16Speaker 1: pastor this church for ten years and your name ain't
- 45:18Speaker 1: familiar to me? How long? How long have you been
- 45:20Speaker 1: a member at my church? I've been a member of
- 45:23Speaker 1: probably going on going on three years now, but I
- 45:27Speaker 1: ain't I ain't been since, you know, since that day
- 45:30Speaker 1: I joined. You know, you know, I don't kind of
- 45:32Speaker 1: got caught out there, you know how I go? But wait, wait, wait,
- 45:35Speaker 1: wait wait wait. So you you've been a member of
- 45:37Speaker 1: my church two or three years? You ain't been to
- 45:39Speaker 1: the church and two to three years? Are you calling
- 45:42Speaker 1: me to ask me about finances of my church? Well,
- 45:45Speaker 1: I'm understand what you're looking for. Well, I am a member,
- 45:48Speaker 1: So I mean I do how to don't I how
- 45:50Speaker 1: the right to know what we got in there? What
- 45:52Speaker 1: we got in the account? Actually, you don't you don't
- 45:54Speaker 1: have to write to that question. If you don't actively
- 45:57Speaker 1: come to the church, you can't come to the church,
- 45:59Speaker 1: sign up church, and then call me three years later
- 46:02Speaker 1: asking me what we got going on at church? So
- 46:05Speaker 1: I need to understand what is your purpose? Well, like
- 46:08Speaker 1: I say, everybody going through hard times, I'm trying to
- 46:11Speaker 1: see what we got in there, because you know, I
- 46:14Speaker 1: need to pick up a few things from the stove.
- 46:16Speaker 1: I don't have the money right now, but shouldn't I
- 46:19Speaker 1: be able to lean it on my church? Though? You lean,
- 46:22Speaker 1: We've done a lot of stuff in the community. We've
- 46:24Speaker 1: been feeding the elderly. We got a food bank, we've
- 46:27Speaker 1: been cashed happing people some money that when we can.
- 46:30Speaker 1: But you ain't been at this church, and three years
- 46:32Speaker 1: you can't call me outter three years and think I'm
- 46:35Speaker 1: about to give you some money for something I don't
- 46:37Speaker 1: even know if you're a real member. I am a
- 46:39Speaker 1: real man. I'm a real member. So hold on, hold on,
- 46:41Speaker 1: hold on, hold hold on, past, hold on, hold on,
- 46:45Speaker 1: hold on, no, no, no, hold on, by boy. Look here,
- 46:48Speaker 1: I'm trying to sit down here dinner with my family.
- 46:50Speaker 1: You sitting here on my last nerve. Look here, brother, Thompson.
- 46:54Speaker 1: I don't know you. I ain't never heard of you.
- 46:56Speaker 1: You am not about to call here and try to
- 46:58Speaker 1: get some money out of me. You ain't even member
- 47:01Speaker 1: of the church. You can't I am a member of
- 47:03Speaker 1: the church because you come to the church one time,
- 47:06Speaker 1: you ain't been back in three years and you come
- 47:08Speaker 1: to me for some money. I am a member your mama,
- 47:12Speaker 1: you are not a member of this church, sir, I
- 47:14Speaker 1: am a member of the church. Look, look, look, let
- 47:17Speaker 1: me tell you something. I know. This ain't no time.
- 47:21Speaker 1: Let me tell you where You can't join my church
- 47:23Speaker 1: two or three years ago and called me three years later,
- 47:26Speaker 1: get my number from somebody and ask me for money
- 47:28Speaker 1: because you're going through hard time. Now, if you was
- 47:30Speaker 1: a true member of the church, you'll understand how we
- 47:33Speaker 1: work and how we give money to people that are struggling.
- 47:36Speaker 1: I just delivered forty meals today to our elderly. Last week,
- 47:41Speaker 1: we cash out people money to go pick up grocery.
- 47:44Speaker 1: Comparing what do you need? Do you need my cash half?
- 47:46Speaker 1: Then do you need my ca Boy? Boy, you gonna
- 47:50Speaker 1: make me because you ain't even tithing, So how are
- 47:53Speaker 1: you not tiring? And think you clod you I have
- 47:55Speaker 1: fell on bad times, didn't I say I fell on
- 47:58Speaker 1: bad times? You feel on bad times for three years? Hey, hey,
- 48:02Speaker 1: you know it takes longer for some people. Okay, why
- 48:05Speaker 1: are you? Why are you judging me in opposed to
- 48:07Speaker 1: trying to figure out how to cash at me so
- 48:10Speaker 1: I can get on a number of my church. I
- 48:12Speaker 1: don't know if you some scam artists trying to get
- 48:14Speaker 1: money from the church. Sir, I have never met you.
- 48:17Speaker 1: I don't know you. Matter of fact, I'm about to
- 48:19Speaker 1: call it the deacons to see who you are and
- 48:22Speaker 1: why they would give my number to some points to
- 48:24Speaker 1: call me and ask me for some money. Hey, let
- 48:26Speaker 1: me say this to you. If you don't cash at me,
- 48:28Speaker 1: then I'm funny that all the members that I know you,
- 48:31Speaker 1: I know our church ain't no mega church. You know
- 48:33Speaker 1: we got three four hundred members already know so. But
- 48:37Speaker 1: but I would let every member know that you're not
- 48:39Speaker 1: cash happening me to help me in a time and need.
- 48:42Speaker 1: I will do that. Rob Thompson, you can let them know.
- 48:45Speaker 1: You can Facebook, Instagram and you can put it on
- 48:48Speaker 1: that tchektok and cag me in it. I ain't giving
- 48:50Speaker 1: you a dime I don't know you. I ain't never
- 48:53Speaker 1: heard of you. Matter of fact, you need to get
- 48:55Speaker 1: off my phone. I got dinner with my wife about
- 48:57Speaker 1: to go on, man, and I ain't got tired of
- 48:59Speaker 1: me going back for with you. I need to know
- 49:02Speaker 1: who gave you my number so I can call them
- 49:05Speaker 1: up and tell them don't be giving my number some
- 49:07Speaker 1: stranger who ain't been our church in two to three
- 49:09Speaker 1: years and gonna ask me for some money, some cash
- 49:12Speaker 1: out or if you don't get off this phone, who
- 49:14Speaker 1: gave you? Um? Okay, so let me ask you something.
- 49:17Speaker 1: So so you know Deacon uh, Marvin Diller, don't know
- 49:20Speaker 1: Dickon Martha. Yeah, what about him? Do you know he
- 49:22Speaker 1: listened to the radio every morning. Yeah, he's listening to
- 49:26Speaker 1: the Steve Harvey Martin show. Pastor, Haze, you just got
- 49:29Speaker 1: pranked by your boy, deacon mom. Boy, I see, and
- 49:34Speaker 1: that's why Deacon marm about to get kicked off the board. Boy,
- 49:40Speaker 1: you got me eye in my yard. Yeah. My neighbor's
- 49:43Speaker 1: looking at me like I'm crazy. They know I'm not
- 49:45Speaker 1: on the block or you almost made me because you
- 49:48Speaker 1: can't be doing that during this time, man, past you
- 49:51Speaker 1: all right, man, man, I'm good man, I'm good, baby, Baby,
- 49:54Speaker 1: everything good. My wife man came out here, boy, and
- 49:58Speaker 1: you ain't don't want her to set it off? Oh
- 50:02Speaker 1: you don't want the first lady to go out? Okay, man,
- 50:05Speaker 1: but no, we take care of our church man. We
- 50:07Speaker 1: feed them, sending the money. Man, deliver meals. Man, make
- 50:10Speaker 1: sure abody good during this time. That's good man. Hey man,
- 50:14Speaker 1: before we get off, you gotta let me know twenty twenty, Baby,
- 50:16Speaker 1: what is the baddest and I mean the baddest radio
- 50:19Speaker 1: show in the land. Man, It's the Steve probably Morning
- 50:22Speaker 1: Show with day ignorant nephew Tommy and there you have it,
- 50:28Speaker 1: ladies and jail. I'm going Tommy and right. I wanted
- 50:32Speaker 1: to hear Timmy how long before he cuts? Because he
- 50:35Speaker 1: was right there. He was right. You know what, Jay,
- 50:38Speaker 1: and I pull it back. I got to the land
- 50:39Speaker 1: and I said, I'm not gonna I pull it back.
- 50:42Speaker 1: Coming up at the top of the hour, the Strawberry
- 50:45Speaker 1: Letter subject I left in the middle of the night.
- 50:48Speaker 1: You're listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show. It's time for

- 51:17Speaker 1: k on that uh right, Steve right, you want them

- 51:25Speaker 1: like what you said. Click straw hit that button, hit
- 51:31Speaker 1: that thing right there. All right, let's go, all right,
- 51:35Speaker 1: buckle up, hold old tight he she is sure the
- 51:39Speaker 1: strawberry with the straw very left. Thank you, junior. Subject
- 51:42Speaker 1: I left in the middle of the night. Here's Stephen Shirley.
- 51:47Speaker 1: I need your honest advice here because I don't know
- 51:49Speaker 1: how to handle this situation. I'm in my late forties
- 51:52Speaker 1: and in a good relationship with a man my age.
- 51:55Speaker 1: We are well above the age of foolishness, but recently
- 51:59Speaker 1: we had a big disagreement. I was staying at his
- 52:02Speaker 1: house the other night and I got a call from
- 52:04Speaker 1: my ex husband, who I still consider a friend. My
- 52:08Speaker 1: ex husband is still single and he lives alone, so
- 52:12Speaker 1: when he called me at two thirty am, I figured
- 52:16Speaker 1: there had to be something serious going on and I
- 52:18Speaker 1: needed to go and see about him. So I got
- 52:22Speaker 1: up and was leaving to go help my ex husband.
- 52:25Speaker 1: My boyfriend got very upset with me and we got
- 52:28Speaker 1: into a huge argument about it. I don't understand what
- 52:32Speaker 1: the big deal is. I would help anybody. I may
- 52:35Speaker 1: have shared too many details about my friendship with my
- 52:37Speaker 1: ex husband, and I probably shouldn't have told him that
- 52:40Speaker 1: my ex still has me listed as a beneficiary on
- 52:43Speaker 1: his life insurance policy. Surely my man doesn't think I
- 52:46Speaker 1: still want my ex husband or vice versa. My man
- 52:50Speaker 1: said he was only angry because it was a safety
- 52:53Speaker 1: issue for me to leave at two thirty, But I
- 52:55Speaker 1: know it's deeper than that. So now I'm second guessing everything. Yea,
- 53:00Speaker 1: I should have even maybe I shouldn't have even answered
- 53:02Speaker 1: the late night phone call. Was I not supposed to
- 53:05Speaker 1: go help my ex? What do you think please help? Okay?
- 53:09Speaker 1: After he called at two thirty am and you ran
- 53:12Speaker 1: off to as you say, go see about him. Yes,
- 53:16Speaker 1: your man definitely thinks you guys have something going on okay,
- 53:20Speaker 1: and that you guys still want each other. I mean,
- 53:23Speaker 1: who does this? I don't get it. Who does that?
- 53:26Speaker 1: Did your ex say something was wrong or seriously going
- 53:29Speaker 1: on like you say in the letter. I'll ask it
- 53:32Speaker 1: this way, what man is going to sit back and
- 53:35Speaker 1: be okay with his woman running to another man at
- 53:38Speaker 1: two thirty in the morning. How does this make sense
- 53:41Speaker 1: to you? This is a man who happens to be
- 53:43Speaker 1: your ex husband. I mean, does this really sound reasonable
- 53:47Speaker 1: to you? He may have said that it was a
- 53:49Speaker 1: safety issue with you, but it was way more than that,
- 53:52Speaker 1: and probably that too. As a matter of fact, if
- 53:55Speaker 1: it was a safety issue, if he thought he should
- 53:57Speaker 1: have gone along with you, I can get and tell
- 54:00Speaker 1: you he's not upset about you and the life insurance thing.
- 54:03Speaker 1: That's not anything for him to be worried about, because
- 54:07Speaker 1: that's a good thing. It's about you getting up out
- 54:10Speaker 1: of that bed and going over to your ex's house.
- 54:13Speaker 1: That's it. That's all. Let me ask you this, what
- 54:16Speaker 1: if you were what were you going to do for
- 54:19Speaker 1: your ex? Did he say he never you never said
- 54:22Speaker 1: what it was. You just never said you never said
- 54:26Speaker 1: what it was? Help him do? What I mean? Couldn't
- 54:30Speaker 1: it wait until later in the morning? Otherwise it just
- 54:33Speaker 1: sounds like a booty call, That's it. I don't see
- 54:36Speaker 1: how you don't see that. You're right, you shouldn't have
- 54:39Speaker 1: answered the phone when you saw it was your ex husband.
- 54:42Speaker 1: You shouldn't have gone over there. It could have waited.
- 54:45Speaker 1: Whatever was Your man is right to be mad. If
- 54:48Speaker 1: he was at your house and a woman called him
- 54:50Speaker 1: at two thirty in the morning, he got up to
- 54:52Speaker 1: go see her, how would you feel. You would be
- 54:54Speaker 1: mad just like he is. So I know you'd be
- 54:58Speaker 1: highly upset and have a major attitude. Okay, So you
- 55:02Speaker 1: were wrong. You should have stayed there and not answered
- 55:05Speaker 1: the call. Okay, And you're gonna have to deal with
- 55:07Speaker 1: this because your man, hopefully he'll forgive you. But I
- 55:09Speaker 1: don't know, Steve, I can't believe this is written by
- 55:14Speaker 1: a woman who's grown. I left in the middle of
- 55:20Speaker 1: the night. The name of this letter should be how
- 55:24Speaker 1: stupid this sound to you? Right, that's the title of
- 55:27Speaker 1: this letter. Let's change this letter. How stupid this sound
- 55:32Speaker 1: to you? Shirley. I need your honest advice, and Steve, yeah,
- 55:36Speaker 1: I'm glad you. I'm glad you said honest advice because
- 55:40Speaker 1: I want to hell you fitting to get him, Come on,
- 55:42Speaker 1: bring it, because I don't know how to handle this situation.
- 55:45Speaker 1: I remember late parties. Get a good relationship with a
- 55:49Speaker 1: man my age we above the age of foolishness. No, no, no,
- 55:53Speaker 1: stop right there, he is above the age foolish Thank
- 55:56Speaker 1: you all up in foolishness. But recently we had a
- 56:01Speaker 1: big disagreement. I was staring at this house the other
- 56:03Speaker 1: night I got a call from my ex husband, who
- 56:06Speaker 1: I still consider a Fred. Problem number one, my ex
- 56:10Speaker 1: husband is still single. Problem number two. What's a little
- 56:14Speaker 1: noise that's putting on the brake? And he lives alone?
- 56:18Speaker 1: That's problem number three. So he called me at two
- 56:22Speaker 1: thirty am. I figured there had to be something serious
- 56:25Speaker 1: going on and I needed to go see about him.
- 56:28Speaker 1: So I got up and was leaving to help my
- 56:30Speaker 1: ex husband. That hell is wrong with you crazy? Let's
- 56:35Speaker 1: go back to the title that I want to call
- 56:37Speaker 1: this letter. How stupid this sound to you. We're laying
- 56:42Speaker 1: in bed, phone ring, it's two thirty. You figure something
- 56:49Speaker 1: seriously got to be wrong. So you sits up, You
- 56:53Speaker 1: gets dressed, and you're going to see about your ex
- 56:55Speaker 1: husband too thanty phone calls. It's prime booty time. Yeah,
- 57:07Speaker 1: one more time, Prime booty time. Matter of fact, you're
- 57:12Speaker 1: on the back end of a booty call two thirty late.
- 57:16Speaker 1: The booty is in the process of having already answered
- 57:20Speaker 1: the call. Wow, we're showering about now this rist all
- 57:28Speaker 1: usually the big rist all. We'll be back with the
- 57:32Speaker 1: rest of his to hell you talking about. We'll have
- 57:35Speaker 1: part two of Steve's response coming out going right at
- 57:39Speaker 1: twenty three after the hour left in the middle of
- 57:42Speaker 1: the night. Or how stupid does this sound to you?
- 57:45Speaker 1: You're listening to show? All right, come on, Steve, part
- 57:50Speaker 1: two of your response to to this. This woman got
- 57:53Speaker 1: a booty call at two thirty in the morning, her
- 57:56Speaker 1: laying next to her new boyfriend. It's her ex husband
- 57:59Speaker 1: who is single and lives alone, and you figured something
- 58:02Speaker 1: had to be seriously wrong at two thirty any morning,
- 58:05Speaker 1: So you gets up leading now yo, her boyfriend? Man,
- 58:08Speaker 1: what are supposed to be you're getting up to answer?
- 58:11Speaker 1: Or what is we all know is a booty call?
- 58:15Speaker 1: Sharlon know that? So why are we sitting up here
- 58:19Speaker 1: trying to act like this ain't what it is? My
- 58:22Speaker 1: boyfriend got very upset with me. We got into a
- 58:25Speaker 1: huge argument about it. I don't understand what the big
- 58:27Speaker 1: deal is. I would help anybody. Oh, so now you're
- 58:31Speaker 1: tricking You would help anybody. So anybody that calls at
- 58:35Speaker 1: two thirty, you willing to get up and help them.
- 58:38Speaker 1: Let me explain something to you, lady. Let me just
- 58:41Speaker 1: dig off in my past a little bit here. I
- 58:43Speaker 1: didn't call a lot of women at two thirty any
- 58:46Speaker 1: morning and said, it ain't ever been nothing wrong. You
- 58:52Speaker 1: haven't been sick, or it's not an emergency, not a
- 58:56Speaker 1: toothy if I call you at tooth thirty going down.
- 59:00Speaker 1: The only thing wrong with me. I'm lonely and through.
- 59:08Speaker 1: I just need to be I need some coming. I
- 59:13Speaker 1: need somebody to put me to sleep. I'm suffering from
- 59:18Speaker 1: insthing new. I can't go to sleep. And you could
- 59:21Speaker 1: be the bigg ass peel come rock a bye baby
- 59:25Speaker 1: in the tree talking, come on, come and put me
- 59:30Speaker 1: to sleep. But it took that in the moaning what
- 59:33Speaker 1: a man called a woman. Something's going on. Someone's on
- 59:39Speaker 1: the phone three o'clock in the moaning talking about how
- 59:46Speaker 1: he can make it right. Did you hear me al
- 59:51Speaker 1: Green saying about this far? Now hear you answering it,
- 59:55Speaker 1: trying to figure out what the hell he's mad about.
- 59:57Speaker 1: Because Al Green is at your house. I would help anybody.
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: I may have shared too many details about my friendship
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: with my ex husband so now you're running your mouth too, Okay,
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: And I probably shouldn't have told him my ex still
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: has me listed as a beneficiary on his life insurance policy.
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: Oh well, maybe that was it. Maybe you was going
- 1:00:19Speaker 1: over there and make sure you still be well. But see,
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: but in order to make sure you the beneficiary, you
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: got to provide benefit. See you get the beneficial, You
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: got to be the benefit. You understand, see that one
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: I'm talking about. Surely, surely my man doesn't think I
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: still want my ex husband or vice versa. Why would
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: you not. He didn't put you on the policy. This
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: he the impitied me a sugar daddy. I'm no sugar
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: daddy now, and when I'm gonna hello hello, this a
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: matter of fact, your ex husband falls into the category
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: a super sugar daddy. You rather dig I'm let and see.
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: So now, if you got a sugar daddy, that's a
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: super sugar daddy that can provide sugar, living and gold,
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: you got to get over there and provide benefit so
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: you can be remained the beneficial. Arey that's what you
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: need to do now. My man said he was only
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: angry because it was a safety issue for me to
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: leave in two thirty, Your damn writer was a safety
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: issue for you to leave. In two thirty, the damn
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: safety issue was he might lose you to the man
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: with all the damn. This man got a shore his policy.
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: But I know it's deeper than that. Let me see
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: what you say. Now. Maybe I shouldn't even have answered
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: the late night phone call. Well maybe you shouldn't. Was
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: I not supposed to go help my ex? What do
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: you think? Let's talk about the help you to provide it.
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: Break it down, Steve, break it down. He's locked out
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: of his house. Oh and why do you have a key?
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: He's sick and only you can make him better. It's
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: two thirty in the morning. He didn't got some bad news,
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: and now here you come to hold him, console him,
- 1:02:23Speaker 1: shape and mold him. You better make a song out
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: of this. Nah, two thirty, Come on in the morning.
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: Somebody just can't sleeve. He picks up the phone and
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: it called on me and I went out to do
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: just to Skippy. Ain't happy on mine about to go
- 1:02:59Speaker 1: out the door. I bought both fires. I'm about to
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: give him some more because I'm beneficialing about used to
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: be Maverick, used to be mavering. Now I gotta go
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: and take care my beneficier status won't and I won't heal.

- 1:16:04Speaker 1: one time. Yeah, well he came in my office. I
- 1:16:09Speaker 1: was eating some ribs and I gave it, you know,
- 1:16:13Speaker 1: and he was just over Joe. His eyes got big,
- 1:16:18Speaker 1: he kept looking at any. Didn't eat it a little
- 1:16:21Speaker 1: bit more Guinny to look at it. Didn't he eat

- 1:16:38Speaker 1: ask your house coming in here asking me many sit
- 1:16:45Speaker 1: raise these kids. Watch these kids. I watched these kids
- 1:16:49Speaker 1: like I won't to how long they've been in the
- 1:16:53Speaker 1: water until they look like pruney. Keep coming up closing
- 1:16:57Speaker 1: remarks right after this. You're list s all right, Steve.
- 1:17:03Speaker 1: Here we are our last break of the day. It's
- 1:17:08Speaker 1: the last break up the day. Yes it is. And
- 1:17:13Speaker 1: what are you doing? It's been a good day though,
- 1:17:17Speaker 1: a good day. Oh you weren't. No, we're to it now. Okay,
- 1:17:23Speaker 1: uh let me do this, you know. Um hey, uh,
- 1:17:28Speaker 1: I got I got something I want to share with
- 1:17:30Speaker 1: you all today. Um, you know today. When I woke
- 1:17:36Speaker 1: up this morning, I had all because it was Super
- 1:17:40Speaker 1: Bowl weekend and we were in Miami. I didn't do
- 1:17:44Speaker 1: my usual meditation every morning, and I missed about three
- 1:17:49Speaker 1: days in the row of my early morning meditation. I
- 1:17:52Speaker 1: always get up is something I've been doing for a
- 1:17:54Speaker 1: little while now. I started at last summer and I
- 1:17:59Speaker 1: very really miss a day. I've been very very happy
- 1:18:02Speaker 1: about that. The benefit of it is it gives me
- 1:18:06Speaker 1: a moment alone before the hectic part of the day begins,
- 1:18:12Speaker 1: and before the phone starts ringing, and before I you know,
- 1:18:15Speaker 1: I used to wake up and look at my emails
- 1:18:17Speaker 1: and my text and get started. And I stopped doing that.
- 1:18:21Speaker 1: And it has been a big refresher for me and
- 1:18:25Speaker 1: my life because I just felt like I was starting
- 1:18:27Speaker 1: my day wrong. I needed to have some spirituality brought
- 1:18:32Speaker 1: into my life first thing in the morning. And I
- 1:18:35Speaker 1: found that. Ever since this summer that has been a
- 1:18:38Speaker 1: very very important aspect. It's been very calming for me.
- 1:18:42Speaker 1: It has been very very invigorating. It has helped me
- 1:18:47Speaker 1: change the way a lot of my days start. But
- 1:18:50Speaker 1: that alone time that I sped having my spiritual moment
- 1:18:55Speaker 1: with my creator is the way I've chosen to do it.
- 1:18:59Speaker 1: I want to tell you are something if you haven't
- 1:19:02Speaker 1: tried that, give it a try. It's something about the
- 1:19:05Speaker 1: early morning hours before you start hearing trafficking, before you
- 1:19:10Speaker 1: turn the TV on, or answer emails or texts. It's
- 1:19:15Speaker 1: something about the quiet of early morning before the house
- 1:19:18Speaker 1: starts moving around, and plates clanging and stuff like that,
- 1:19:22Speaker 1: and doors shutting. It's an amazing time to get in
- 1:19:28Speaker 1: touch with your spirituality. And I suggest just give it
- 1:19:33Speaker 1: a try. You know, it may not be for you.
- 1:19:38Speaker 1: It may not. I don't. I don't know you, but
- 1:19:41Speaker 1: it happens a lot. I was reading the scripture once
- 1:19:45Speaker 1: doing this thing and it and it, and was saying
- 1:19:48Speaker 1: that I'm paraphrasing it because it's showing't what it said exactly,
- 1:19:51Speaker 1: but I will come with you in the early mornings
- 1:19:54Speaker 1: and hear your cry. And so it's been very beneficial
- 1:19:59Speaker 1: to me. And this morning in particular, after spending about
- 1:20:05Speaker 1: three days not doing it, today I sat down and
- 1:20:10Speaker 1: all I did in my journal, because I have a Bible,
- 1:20:15Speaker 1: I have a daily devotional, I have a journal. All
- 1:20:18Speaker 1: I did in my journal this morning was I began
- 1:20:22Speaker 1: to write out everything I could think of that I
- 1:20:28Speaker 1: wanted to thank him for. I just put a list
- 1:20:33Speaker 1: of things I was grateful for. And the next thing
- 1:20:38Speaker 1: I know, I had feeled up two pages, I mean
- 1:20:42Speaker 1: two complete pages in my journal. You know. And now
- 1:20:45Speaker 1: it's not a piece of notebook paper. You know, they're
- 1:20:49Speaker 1: going to three ring binder, but it's it's a substantial
- 1:20:52Speaker 1: piece of paper, and I filled it up because I
- 1:20:56Speaker 1: was just I couldn't stop writing, and I was writing
- 1:21:01Speaker 1: everything I'm thinking for safe passage in the airways. I
- 1:21:06Speaker 1: thank him for my children's health. I thank him for guidance.
- 1:21:11Speaker 1: I started thinking him for everything that he's done for
- 1:21:15Speaker 1: me that I pray about, and the things that I
- 1:21:18Speaker 1: that he's done for me that I don't pray about.
- 1:21:20Speaker 1: I thank him for my breath. I thanked him for
- 1:21:23Speaker 1: my measure of health. I thanked him for being able
- 1:21:26Speaker 1: to have a lifestyle beyond my dreams. I was thanking
- 1:21:30Speaker 1: him for the ability to dress myself. I was thanking
- 1:21:35Speaker 1: him for meeting people, for taking on the mantra of
- 1:21:42Speaker 1: two twenty twenty twenty of no complaints. I just decided
- 1:21:46Speaker 1: in twenty twenty I didn't want to complain. So I've
- 1:21:50Speaker 1: cut back on that. I haven't stopped completely. You know,
- 1:21:52Speaker 1: I'm catching myself every now and then, but I've been
- 1:21:56Speaker 1: so far. I've cut down on complaining drastically. And I
- 1:21:59Speaker 1: thought thing for that, because instead of complaining whatever I
- 1:22:03Speaker 1: feel like I want to complain about something, I find
- 1:22:05Speaker 1: a way to be grateful. I find something to be
- 1:22:08Speaker 1: grateful for. So I've I've replaced complaining with gratitude. Wow. Wow,
- 1:22:15Speaker 1: what a game changer, What an amazing mental state that
- 1:22:20Speaker 1: puts you in. If you could exchange complaining for gratitude.
- 1:22:25Speaker 1: Gratitude is a very very underrated principle of success. Not
- 1:22:33Speaker 1: many people talk about it. But the more grateful you are,
- 1:22:37Speaker 1: the more things grateful God will give you to be
- 1:22:41Speaker 1: grateful for. The more grateful you are, the more thing
- 1:22:43Speaker 1: God God will give to you to be grateful for.
- 1:22:47Speaker 1: That's a fact. That's a fact. And so I'm suggesting
- 1:22:53Speaker 1: to everybody get up a little bit earlier and spend
- 1:23:00Speaker 1: twenty minutes, fifteen minutes, let's start there. The more you
- 1:23:06Speaker 1: can do, the better. But if you could start with
- 1:23:09Speaker 1: ten quiet minutes with just you and you and God,
- 1:23:14Speaker 1: and I don't care what faith you're in, just you
- 1:23:18Speaker 1: and God. Just spend some time talking with him, thanking him,
- 1:23:21Speaker 1: tell him what you want, tell him what you need,
- 1:23:24Speaker 1: asking for the help that you want. But tell him
- 1:23:28Speaker 1: you love him, and tell him you and tell him
- 1:23:30Speaker 1: you're trying to get it right and you need some helping,
- 1:23:33Speaker 1: and tell him what you want and thank him. It's
- 1:23:36Speaker 1: an amazing way to start your day. Just give it
- 1:23:38Speaker 1: a thought, y'all. That's all. Those are my close remarks.
