- 0:00Speaker 1: Today's show is pre recorded. Y'all know what time y'all
- 0:05Speaker 1: don't know. Y'all have a sun giving them like the
- 0:15Speaker 1: million buck things in it to be true, good together
- 0:27Speaker 1: for I don't join jo. You gotta turn you're going
- 1:10Speaker 1: to do? You are? You gotta turn to turn them out? Turn?
- 1:43Speaker 1: You haven't got to turn them out? The water. The
- 1:47Speaker 1: water got me. Come come on your thing? Sure, well,
- 2:04Speaker 1: good morning everybody. You're listening to the voice, Come on,
- 2:08Speaker 1: dig me now want and only Steve Harvey got a
- 2:12Speaker 1: radio show. Man o, man o man. I thank God
- 2:17Speaker 1: for it. I thank God for all he's done for me,
- 2:21Speaker 1: for all the little things that are oftentimes failed to
- 2:25Speaker 1: thank him for that I take for granted for you know,
- 2:30Speaker 1: I was. I was talking the other day to a
- 2:33Speaker 1: buddy of mine. We had gotten to this conversation about
- 2:37Speaker 1: God and and and in the conversation we had narrowed
- 2:43Speaker 1: it down and we were talking about changing the way
- 2:45Speaker 1: we are as people. You know that everybody has to change,
- 2:51Speaker 1: you know, nothing stays the same. Everybody changes, and a
- 2:56Speaker 1: lot of these changes can be for the good, and
- 2:58Speaker 1: a lot of them are just just come with time.
- 3:01Speaker 1: You know. Sometimes it's aging that changes us. But no
- 3:05Speaker 1: matter how old you get, you still have the ability
- 3:10Speaker 1: to improve as a person. You may not have the
- 3:14Speaker 1: foot speed you used to have. You may not be
- 3:18Speaker 1: as agile as you used to be. Your energy level
- 3:23Speaker 1: may not be what it used to be. Your desire
- 3:28Speaker 1: to do some of the things that you used to
- 3:30Speaker 1: do may be gone. The thing that doesn't have to
- 3:37Speaker 1: change and will not change is you. You have the
- 3:42Speaker 1: ability to continue to grow as a person, even when
- 3:49Speaker 1: far the time and nature has taken its course. We
- 3:55Speaker 1: were talking about everybody can change and everybody has the
- 4:06Speaker 1: right to reinvent themselves as they get older. And I
- 4:11Speaker 1: equated it to jumping out of an airplane. You know,
- 4:16Speaker 1: there are some people man who get to a certain
- 4:18Speaker 1: point in their life and they and they jump from
- 4:21Speaker 1: the airplane is now almost a stunt of some kind.
- 4:27Speaker 1: It's almost like they life then got out of control.
- 4:30Speaker 1: You ever seen somebody jump out of airplane and the
- 4:34Speaker 1: parachute don't open, and they lifestart and it seems like
- 4:37Speaker 1: they start spinning and tumbling and they can't get it together.
- 4:40Speaker 1: And I've seen some mid air rescues before. But then
- 4:43Speaker 1: there are times when you know when it hasn't worked.
- 4:46Speaker 1: You know, you jump out that airplane, and and and
- 4:50Speaker 1: at first it's fun. I've never skydived before, but I
- 4:54Speaker 1: would imagine when you first jump out of an airplane
- 4:58Speaker 1: that they people describe it as a a sense of
- 5:01Speaker 1: being free. And it's exhilarating when you first jump out
- 5:05Speaker 1: the plane. But if you pull that cord and nothing happens.
- 5:10Speaker 1: I never happened to me, but I can only imagine
- 5:14Speaker 1: the panic that's got to set in, because no matter
- 5:18Speaker 1: how fun it was a moment ago, the flying over
- 5:22Speaker 1: to one another, the holding hands in the air, the breeze,
- 5:27Speaker 1: the descent of the feeling of all of a sudden,
- 5:32Speaker 1: if you reach for that cord and that's not there,
- 5:35Speaker 1: you're suddenly spinning out of control. And that's what happens
- 5:39Speaker 1: in a lot of people's lives. When you first start
- 5:42Speaker 1: your life, you jump out the plane. You're free, you're young,
- 5:45Speaker 1: you ain't got nothing to where about. But then you
- 5:47Speaker 1: get to a certain point in your life when you go, okay,
- 5:50Speaker 1: I'm gonna pull the cord now. And pulling the cord
- 5:54Speaker 1: is an important thing because here's the analogy my friend
- 5:59Speaker 1: gave me. He said, man, use your mind like a parachute.
- 6:06Speaker 1: It works better when it's open. Well, see what happens
- 6:11Speaker 1: with a lot of people, is they in life. They
- 6:14Speaker 1: jump out the plane and and and they and they
- 6:18Speaker 1: having this free fall and it's fun for now. But
- 6:22Speaker 1: they get to a certain point in their life where
- 6:24Speaker 1: they got themselves in a situation, or they've had a
- 6:27Speaker 1: little bit too much fun a little bit too long,
- 6:30Speaker 1: or you know, they wasn't open to nothing, and they
- 6:33Speaker 1: just did what they wanted to do, or they started
- 6:35Speaker 1: getting involved with drugs or drinking, or started running with
- 6:38Speaker 1: the wrong people. So you jump out the plane. The
- 6:41Speaker 1: first you're free falling. It's fun. But then after a minute, man,
- 6:44Speaker 1: something happens and they realize whoa, and they reach for
- 6:47Speaker 1: the chord, and the chord don't work. Well, now you're
- 6:50Speaker 1: in a panic stricken situation. And my suggesting is what
- 6:53Speaker 1: I've learned from the analogy that my friends shared with me,
- 6:57Speaker 1: is that we all the sooner we can open our
- 6:59Speaker 1: mind to God, the sooner we could develop that relationship
- 7:04Speaker 1: with him. It's like pulling the cord and opening a parachute.
- 7:10Speaker 1: If you open up your mind to God, God is
- 7:13Speaker 1: like a parachute. You know, God can slow your descent.
- 7:20Speaker 1: God can turn this out of control free fall into
- 7:24Speaker 1: a nice ride for you. See, that's what happened to me.
- 7:30Speaker 1: I was spinning out of control. I had gotten myself
- 7:34Speaker 1: into a point man while I wasn't doing real good. Oh,
- 7:38Speaker 1: y'all would look at me and think, man Stevie man Nam,
- 7:43Speaker 1: I wasn't doing real good. I had spun out of control.
- 7:48Speaker 1: I was. I was in a free fall, and I
- 7:51Speaker 1: reached for the court, but I was so far away
- 7:54Speaker 1: the chord didn't open. Then I went to him and
- 7:57Speaker 1: I pulled the cord. When I went to God, I
- 8:01Speaker 1: pulled the cord and open, and he slowed my descent.
- 8:05Speaker 1: And this is what I just believe. I don't believe
- 8:07Speaker 1: now that I aged as fast as I was aging,
- 8:11Speaker 1: because I got that parachute open. Now, you know, I
- 8:14Speaker 1: take better care of myself, eating, I work out more.
- 8:16Speaker 1: Now you know, I'm not out of control. I have
- 8:20Speaker 1: a direction now that when then got up under that
- 8:24Speaker 1: parachute a little bit, you know, And now I'm I'm
- 8:27Speaker 1: I'm going you know, I'm still getting older, you know so,
- 8:31Speaker 1: but the descent is so slow. Now I'm able to
- 8:34Speaker 1: enjoy the ride I'm guiding my parachute over Sometimes we
- 8:38Speaker 1: go over to to a vacation spot over here, we
- 8:41Speaker 1: float back over to it. But you know, I'm still
- 8:44Speaker 1: getting old. I'm still going down. But the descent because
- 8:48Speaker 1: I've opened my mind to God, the parachute has slowed
- 8:53Speaker 1: my descent. And now I'm rocking back and forth. But
- 8:57Speaker 1: I ain't spending out of control no more. You know,
- 9:00Speaker 1: I'm able to enjoy the view now. You know when
- 9:03Speaker 1: you jump out that plane and you and you pull
- 9:05Speaker 1: that cord and it don't work, you ain't looking at
- 9:08Speaker 1: the view no more. You're thinking of only one thing.
- 9:10Speaker 1: How can I slow this down? When now I'm able
- 9:13Speaker 1: to enjoy the view. I'm able to see all the
- 9:16Speaker 1: beautiful things on the horizon that God has for me.
- 9:19Speaker 1: I'm able to see all the beautiful things around me
- 9:22Speaker 1: that He's provided for me over these years. Because I've
- 9:26Speaker 1: slowed my descent. I used my mind like a parachute.
- 9:31Speaker 1: It works better when it's open. Open your mind to God,
- 9:35Speaker 1: and so you can see the view, so you can
- 9:38Speaker 1: slow the descent, so you can stop the out of
- 9:41Speaker 1: control freefall that you've been on, that you can get
- 9:44Speaker 1: your life together and see everything out on the horizon
- 9:48Speaker 1: that God has for you. You know, it turned out
- 9:50Speaker 1: to be a very true statement your mind. If you
- 9:53Speaker 1: use it like a parachute, it works better when it's open. Y'all,
- 9:57Speaker 1: you're listening to ladies, gentlemen, and all circus participants. This
- 10:11Speaker 1: is the Steve Harvey Morning Show. And our reason I
- 10:15Speaker 1: say ladies and gentlemen, all circus participants is because we
- 10:19Speaker 1: are all a part of this circus called Light, and
- 10:24Speaker 1: we are participating in some way or another. I just
- 10:28Speaker 1: happen to want to be one of the stars of
- 10:31Speaker 1: the circus. That's what I claim. Now, you pick whatever
- 10:36Speaker 1: role you want to be at the child You want
- 10:38Speaker 1: to be the bearded lady, go ahead. You want to
- 10:41Speaker 1: be one of the clowns jumping out the votewagon, go ahead.
- 10:46Speaker 1: You want to be one of the big, fat ass
- 10:47Speaker 1: elephants chained up and just getting drug around, go ahead.
- 10:52Speaker 1: If you want to be the ringmaster, come on. Pick
- 10:58Speaker 1: the position you won't in the circus. If you want
- 11:01Speaker 1: to be the person setting up the tents for the circus.
- 11:04Speaker 1: If you want to be outside selling tickets, you want
- 11:06Speaker 1: to be making cole candy. Pick your role in the
- 11:08Speaker 1: circus and come on to the Steve Hawlan Morning Show.
- 11:11Speaker 1: Short Strawbery, Hey, good morning, Shorty picker position, Well, he's
- 11:17Speaker 1: I mean, I don't want to be the bearded lady.
- 11:18Speaker 1: Oh I know, I'll be the type rope walker I like. Okay, cool, sure,
- 11:22Speaker 1: Carlin Farrell, good morning, Happy Friday. Pick a tiler, the
- 11:27Speaker 1: circus clown. You'll be a clown, okay, Junior pointing up,
- 11:34Speaker 1: I will be the little person in the audience. Make
- 11:36Speaker 1: it a lot. That's where I'm mad, like Janthony Brown
- 11:43Speaker 1: right up and see the black man with the white
- 11:45Speaker 1: woman inside the black man white woman. Tim May you
- 11:55Speaker 1: know me, man, I'm gonna do cracking that whip in
- 11:58Speaker 1: there with them Tiger's Baby that I've Who are you though?
- 12:06Speaker 1: Y'all think I'm gonna be the ring master, but I'm not.
- 12:09Speaker 1: Who are you? I'm gonna be one of them lines
- 12:12Speaker 1: that then got loose and it's not trotting through time.
- 12:18Speaker 1: Oh man, Oh they they just they just had a
- 12:24Speaker 1: Steve it's the ring master and the line he's the
- 12:27Speaker 1: same time. He's two different Yeah, yeah, he's multiple characters.
- 12:31Speaker 1: But can't nobody tame that line? Man with Steve Sirley.
- 12:41Speaker 1: I just want to. We want to make sure we
- 12:46Speaker 1: are not here to appeacial a little weird little fantasies.
- 12:50Speaker 1: You got, you got a thing, Sure you really need
- 12:57Speaker 1: to go get seen about it. Are you a lie
- 13:00Speaker 1: in or not? Okay, Well that's sick, donkey, I gotta
- 13:09Speaker 1: same thing, Jacot. Well it's hard to do up on

- 15:45Speaker 1: why I won't it. That's what I put it in there.
- 15:55Speaker 1: There's another one. If that's got meat in it, then
- 15:58Speaker 1: I can't eat it. Oh yeah, but what you're gonna

- 21:23Speaker 1: I keep calling the main line, but there ain't nobody answered.
- 21:25Speaker 1: I had to call that about six seven times. They
- 21:28Speaker 1: keep rolling over to it like to a voicemail or okay, okay, okay, brother,
- 21:31Speaker 1: what's your name Monday? Tony? Okay, listen, Tony. I got
- 21:33Speaker 1: a customer in the back. Let me get them happy.

- 28:52Speaker 1: Let's stand is up next with our Natural News. You're
- 28:55Speaker 1: listening morning show. All right, does marriage make you a
- 29:02Speaker 1: better person? That is a question on the table right now. No, hey, hey,
- 29:07Speaker 1: let me get it out. He already on the show.
- 29:15Speaker 1: A new study from Tilburg University in the Netherlands suggests
- 29:19Speaker 1: that marriage can make you a better person. Specifically, getting
- 29:23Speaker 1: hitched makes you more forgiving and more likely to exercise
- 29:27Speaker 1: self control. All right, that's what I said. Who would
- 29:31Speaker 1: I study? This is a new study. They studied marriage
- 29:35Speaker 1: married people people that are in from the Netherlands. It
- 29:43Speaker 1: suggested marriage can make you a better person. Specifically, getting
- 29:46Speaker 1: hitched makes you more forgiving. It makes you more forgiving, tommy,
- 29:51Speaker 1: and it makes you more likely to exercise self control.
- 29:55Speaker 1: Not if you nothing, Tommy, No, what are the one
- 30:01Speaker 1: they got for over here. Thank you, man, you married
- 30:07Speaker 1: the wrong person. It will not make you a better person.
- 30:10Speaker 1: It makes you better at doing certain thing like what
- 30:14Speaker 1: to become a lot more craft cheater. Your ass gets
- 30:18Speaker 1: real craft. Your ass can learn something you can't. Thank
- 30:27Speaker 1: you would you learn like not how to go home?
- 30:32Speaker 1: You learn about spots. You know about a lot of restaurants.
- 30:40Speaker 1: You have a lot of little cubby holes in the restaurants.
- 30:44Speaker 1: You know how to walk in places the spot, cameras,
- 30:52Speaker 1: You learned a lot of the back way. Yeah, you know,
- 30:55Speaker 1: you use your phone different. When I was out there,
- 30:58Speaker 1: wasn't no phone cameras, wasn't GPS what none of that
- 31:01Speaker 1: when you're out there, Yeah, I was out there. See
- 31:04Speaker 1: all is now I already know I'm good because where
- 31:07Speaker 1: I'm gonna go. Cap my hands home. Now that GPS
- 31:17Speaker 1: off your phone, You got to turn that as soon
- 31:20Speaker 1: as you leave. Hey, dog, if you famous, you can't
- 31:23Speaker 1: do nothing. You just can't do nothing. Just go home. Talk.
- 31:27Speaker 1: If you're famous and you're not happy, just get yourself
- 31:29Speaker 1: a divorce, man, because you're gonna get seen. Yeah, and
- 31:32Speaker 1: it gonna go put you out to Yeah, yeah, freak
- 31:38Speaker 1: did you did you want to say that aloud? And
- 31:40Speaker 1: did you want to keep that to yourself? Listen, just
- 31:45Speaker 1: got miserable meeting that time you can talk to other
- 31:49Speaker 1: miserable man. Why did he get married? I didn't, y'all.
- 31:56Speaker 1: Ain't tell me everything, y'all, let's move on. If you're
- 32:02Speaker 1: stressed out about money, according to data from the American
- 32:06Speaker 1: Psychological Association, money is the number one cause of stress
- 32:10Speaker 1: for Americans. Uh, these may be a few reasons why.
- 32:13Speaker 1: Credit card debt, stuff like that, student loan um, and
- 32:18Speaker 1: just Americans have no savings. Those are a couple of
- 32:22Speaker 1: the reasons. I mean it's hard. You know, a lot
- 32:24Speaker 1: of people live check to check. Is hard because you
- 32:27Speaker 1: need all your money to live on and then you
- 32:30Speaker 1: go you go want something. Yeah, it's hard to save, man,
- 32:34Speaker 1: when you want something. Yeah, Now, if you quit won't stuff,
- 32:37Speaker 1: you could save your money. You ain't gonna have none.
- 32:40Speaker 1: Now you're going to work for nothing. That's the that's
- 32:42Speaker 1: the catch twenty two. You go to work to have something.
- 32:45Speaker 1: Then if you're gonna need to have something, you need
- 32:47Speaker 1: to save it now you can now, man, So Steve,
- 32:51Speaker 1: it's time for today's headline. Ladies and gentlemen, miss An Tripp,
- 32:55Speaker 1: thank you very much. Everyone. This is a trip with
- 32:58Speaker 1: the news. The mostly Republican pointed US Supreme Court has
- 33:01Speaker 1: gutted most of what remains of the landmark Voting Rights Act.
- 33:06Speaker 1: At issue two Arizona laws. One band to the collection
- 33:09Speaker 1: of absency ballots by anyone other than a relative or
- 33:11Speaker 1: a caregiver. The other automatically throughout any ballots cast in
- 33:15Speaker 1: the wrong precinct. Now, the federal Appeals Court struck down
- 33:19Speaker 1: both those provisions, ruling that they had an unequal impact
- 33:23Speaker 1: on minorities. However, the high court, the Supreme Court, the
- 33:26Speaker 1: right leaning Supreme Court, has reinstated them, claiming that the
- 33:30Speaker 1: unequal impact that the laws had on minarties was relatively
- 33:34Speaker 1: minor in their opinion, and that other states have similar laws.
- 33:37Speaker 1: And just because voting may be inconvenient for some voters,
- 33:41Speaker 1: that doesn't mean that access to voting is unequal. Legal
- 33:45Speaker 1: scholars and civil rights attorneys say that yesterday's ruling very
- 33:47Speaker 1: much limits the path available to challenge voting obstacles in
- 33:51Speaker 1: federal court. Yesterday's action, they'll also puts pressure on Democrats
- 33:54Speaker 1: in the Senate to try and find a way to
- 33:56Speaker 1: Act some new voting rights laws, one that Republicans will
- 33:59Speaker 1: sign onto. The Trump Organization and its long time chief
- 34:03Speaker 1: financial officer had been charged with over a dozen financial
- 34:07Speaker 1: and tax crimes by the state of New York. This
- 34:09Speaker 1: culminates some three years of legal wrangling that included a
- 34:12Speaker 1: fight over the release of Donald Trump's tax returns. It
- 34:15Speaker 1: went all the way to the Supreme Court. Prosecutors say
- 34:18Speaker 1: this was a fifteen year long tax floid scheme involving
- 34:21Speaker 1: off the books, payments, and some other stuff. The former president, though,
- 34:25Speaker 1: has not been indicted, just his company so far. President
- 34:28Speaker 1: Biden and the First Lady traveled to Serve side A,
- 34:31Speaker 1: Florida yesterday, the side of the horrible building collapse. Some
- 34:34Speaker 1: one hundred forty five people still missing an unaccounted for,
- 34:37Speaker 1: and the President says the grieving families are not alone.
- 34:40Speaker 1: The whole nation is bornting with these families. They see
- 34:43Speaker 1: it every day on television. They're going through hell. Those
- 34:47Speaker 1: who survived the collapse as well as those were missing
- 34:50Speaker 1: loved ones. Eighteen bodies have been pulled from the rubles
- 34:53Speaker 1: so far, including two children. However, the search for more
- 34:56Speaker 1: victims was stopped temporarily yesterday because it was concerned over
- 34:59Speaker 1: the stability of what's left of the structure. Rescue teams
- 35:02Speaker 1: notice some widening cracks. The work has begun again in
- 35:06Speaker 1: Earnest this morning, but much more carefully, and now apparently
- 35:10Speaker 1: engineers are figuring out a way to bring the whole
- 35:12Speaker 1: structure down safely. President Biden says that the race to
- 35:16Speaker 1: get more Americans vaccinate and moving ever closer to a
- 35:18Speaker 1: critical stage as the fast moving the delta Varian that
- 35:21Speaker 1: the coronavirus spreads across the nation. Which Attorney General get this?
- 35:24Speaker 1: Merrick Garland has ordered temporary halt to all federal executions.
- 35:29Speaker 1: And remember Atari. While someone gave an attari to a
- 35:33Speaker 1: good will strift in Texas, they said, hmm, let's auction
- 35:37Speaker 1: it off, maybe get some money. They got ten thousand,
- 35:39Speaker 1: five hundred and ninety dollars for an old Atari. Where
- 35:43Speaker 1: is mine? Now back to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 35:45Speaker 1: You're listening to show? All right? Come on, Steve, introduce
- 35:50Speaker 1: Jay Anthony Brown so he can murder another hit. Yeah,
- 35:54Speaker 1: you know, I used to gladly introduce him, but I've
- 35:58Speaker 1: started losing for You're not gonna lose a friend today,
- 36:03Speaker 1: Sky okay, jaff Anny Brown murderdy here boy, this is

- 42:03Speaker 1: I'm gonna just tell right now. I've been lying to you,
- 42:06Speaker 1: but ain't none of these kids. Yo. Yeah, this is personal.
- 42:13Speaker 1: Mine is personal. No, we can't get to We can't
- 42:17Speaker 1: be together because your feet harder than man. We can't
- 42:23Speaker 1: be together. You're cutting up. Take your shoes off, all right, nephew,
- 42:34Speaker 1: what you got? Let me tell you something. I didn't
- 42:36Speaker 1: tried it and tried it, but look we we we
- 42:38Speaker 1: can't be together because I don't like none of your
- 42:41Speaker 1: eight kids. I don't I'm gonna beat that little one ass.
- 42:45Speaker 1: I'm telling I don't. I can't be with y'all. Damn,
- 42:54Speaker 1: this is gonna be a herd. Okay, now we can't
- 43:03Speaker 1: be Together's cause every time you ask me whose is it?
- 43:10Speaker 1: I can't remember your name? Time I can't remember the
- 43:36Speaker 1: time you ask me whose is it? I have options.
- 43:42Speaker 1: The King of Franks is coming up with a prank
- 43:44Speaker 1: phone call right after this you're listening, coming up at
- 43:51Speaker 1: the top of the hour, about four minutes after the hour,
- 43:54Speaker 1: it's my strawberry letter for today. Subjects ain't nothing holy
- 43:58Speaker 1: about his behavior, nothing hollowly about his behavior. Yeah, but
- 44:05Speaker 1: right now it is the nephew. He's here with today's
- 44:07Speaker 1: praying phone call. What you got death? So I think
- 44:10Speaker 1: it's time that we did a little praise dancing. I
- 44:12Speaker 1: think it's time to do some praise. Yeah, you've seen
- 44:17Speaker 1: him before. H Okay, Hello, this is the day that
- 44:22Speaker 1: the Lord is made. Let us rejoice and be glad
- 44:24Speaker 1: in it. How you doing? I'm looking for uh Stania.
- 44:28Speaker 1: This is Stania, Satia. This is Brother Fuller from the church.
- 44:31Speaker 1: How are you? Oh, I'm with brother. How are you.
- 44:34Speaker 1: I'm good, I'm good. Um. We wanted to give you
- 44:38Speaker 1: a call about the about the praise dancing that's at
- 44:40Speaker 1: the church. First of all, I wanted to really show
- 44:42Speaker 1: you how much you're doing a great job over there
- 44:44Speaker 1: with the praise dances and you you definitely do a
- 44:46Speaker 1: great job on uh on on on every third Sunday
- 44:49Speaker 1: that you guys actually perform. Everybody seemed to really like it. Well,
- 44:53Speaker 1: thank you, thank you. What can I do for you today?
- 44:55Speaker 1: There is a bit of a situation with um. You know,
- 44:58Speaker 1: it's been brought to our attention. We actually had a
- 45:00Speaker 1: small gathering, a little meeting about it and wanted to
- 45:03Speaker 1: I've been elected to actually give you a call. And
- 45:06Speaker 1: who is this? I'm sorry to who we again? Brother
- 45:09Speaker 1: Fuller uh huh and and and who had a meeting
- 45:13Speaker 1: uh some of the brothers at the church and uh
- 45:16Speaker 1: paths to actually sat in for a moment on it.
- 45:18Speaker 1: And I was actually elected to actually just give you
- 45:21Speaker 1: a call. It and nothing that I don't think we
- 45:23Speaker 1: can't get uh rectified and you know, move on slowly
- 45:27Speaker 1: as we normally do. But I just think it's we
- 45:29Speaker 1: wanted to reach out to you and kind of make
- 45:31Speaker 1: you aware of it if it's if you don't mind, okay, um?
- 45:36Speaker 1: And what things are those? Well? Since since a Tania
- 45:39Speaker 1: has any of the praise dancers before they became praise dancers?
- 45:45Speaker 1: Was was was any of them strippers? I beg your partner,
- 45:51Speaker 1: was any of the praise dancers that at the church
- 45:54Speaker 1: that you have on the praise team right now with
- 45:58Speaker 1: any of them strippers in the pay? I'm sorry, sir,
- 46:01Speaker 1: I don't I don't really know who you are, um,
- 46:03Speaker 1: and I don't really understand this line of question. But
- 46:06Speaker 1: like I said, I'm brother full I don't think we've met.
- 46:08Speaker 1: But uh, like I said, I've been elected to give
- 46:10Speaker 1: you a call. Not now. It seems like what happened
- 46:13Speaker 1: is this past week when you all actually danced, it
- 46:18Speaker 1: seemed like a couple of the girls was actually jar
- 46:21Speaker 1: raiding during the phrase routine. Hey what jat raiding? Brother Fuller,
- 46:27Speaker 1: I don't know who you are, and I don't know
- 46:28Speaker 1: what you saw. None of my girls which rating? They
- 46:32Speaker 1: were dancing for the Lord? And I think if you
- 46:34Speaker 1: look through your Lord's aye, perhaps you would see them
- 46:37Speaker 1: better instead of maybe you were looking through the jar
- 46:39Speaker 1: rating a look. No see some of these girls are cold.
- 46:43Speaker 1: A couple of the girls, we can point them out.
- 46:44Speaker 1: A couple of them, how uh strip girl tendencies of it? Then?
- 46:48Speaker 1: Because some of them has been girls tendencies? You know what, sir?
- 46:54Speaker 1: I think we need to complete this call Praps. I
- 46:56Speaker 1: need to call Petship and speak to him myself, because
- 46:59Speaker 1: you know, I don't know what you do all days.
- 47:00Speaker 1: But I have a real job and I'm sitting here
- 47:02Speaker 1: holding a conversation in my office about JY rating strippers
- 47:05Speaker 1: in the church. Are you kidding me? Man? Listen? Listen.
- 47:09Speaker 1: Now here's a couple other things that they're talking about.
- 47:12Speaker 1: Some of the girls feet a real ass you when
- 47:14Speaker 1: you all a performing and they want to see it,
- 47:17Speaker 1: maybe you can, you can. I don't know. Maybe I
- 47:19Speaker 1: don't know if y'all need to grip or whatever that
- 47:21Speaker 1: y'all don't. Y'all don't put lotion on. We're not sure
- 47:24Speaker 1: what that is. As well as the total l file.
- 47:28Speaker 1: Everybody has three, four, five different designs and everything is it?
- 47:32Speaker 1: Any way, y'all can be in unison with your totalipolis.
- 47:35Speaker 1: But the most important thing ill to JY rating doing
- 47:38Speaker 1: the dance routine. I don't know what your feet look like.
- 47:41Speaker 1: I don't need you calling me talking to me about
- 47:43Speaker 1: my girls, their feet, their nail powers. Perhaps your man
- 47:46Speaker 1: should be on Jesus instead of our them. How about that?
- 47:50Speaker 1: Oh God, man for my time. I don't have time, mama,
- 47:55Speaker 1: and to be on Jesus when somebody's shaking them. But
- 47:57Speaker 1: at the church, that's the problem. A Look, I'm at
- 48:00Speaker 1: work now, I'm trying to keep a work tone. You
- 48:03Speaker 1: don't make me curse up there. Now let me tell
- 48:05Speaker 1: you something. Don't call me anymore. I will deal with pastor.
- 48:08Speaker 1: If he has something to say with me, he can
- 48:10Speaker 1: say it to me personally. But I'm done with this conversation.
- 48:12Speaker 1: Are you gonna deal with the gy rating? Is what
- 48:15Speaker 1: we want to know? Maybe you know what? It just
- 48:18Speaker 1: hit me. Maybe you're one of the ones that's doing
- 48:20Speaker 1: the GI rate. Look, let me tell you something. My
- 48:22Speaker 1: girls ain't doing no damn Ji rating, and neither am I.
- 48:25Speaker 1: Now I am done with this conversation. Do you understand?
- 48:28Speaker 1: But listen, I'm done all you're done with the rating?
- 48:30Speaker 1: That's what we want to stop so we can we
- 48:33Speaker 1: can't praise the Lord if the boot isn't shake. You
- 48:36Speaker 1: know what start look, I gotta go to work. I
- 48:39Speaker 1: gotta go now again. I don't know what your issue is.
- 48:42Speaker 1: It sounds to me like you have an issue which
- 48:44Speaker 1: I rating booties. And I heard so much gyrating booties
- 48:47Speaker 1: in one conversation in my entire life. Now my mind
- 48:49Speaker 1: is set on Jesus. I don't know what your man
- 48:51Speaker 1: is set off? What's to tell you? Before you was
- 48:53Speaker 1: a praise then a ministry over the ministry? Did you
- 48:58Speaker 1: el use to strip? Yeah? I didn't do no res it?
- 49:00Speaker 1: Now did your wife do any stripping? Did you what
- 49:03Speaker 1: I'm gonna do? Any stripping? Whatever you heard what I
- 49:06Speaker 1: said you were? How are you liking to somebody call
- 49:08Speaker 1: you an ask you if your mamma get some stripping?
- 49:09Speaker 1: How do you like that? I'm saying? You know what
- 49:12Speaker 1: I want to know? When is the next rehearsal? That
- 49:14Speaker 1: the way I can come and pick out of who
- 49:16Speaker 1: it is that's doing this. Jill. You don't have you
- 49:18Speaker 1: don't have any visages at my rehearsal. I don't want
- 49:20Speaker 1: to see you at my rehearsal. I don't want to.
- 49:22Speaker 1: I don't want to see any part for you in
- 49:23Speaker 1: my rehearse If I see you near one of my girls.
- 49:25Speaker 1: That's why I'm coming up for you myself. Do you
- 49:26Speaker 1: understand me? You need to find out who's doing that job?
- 49:30Speaker 1: Damn thing? You need to say your body y'all high
- 49:33Speaker 1: and I'm glad y'all ain't this and when the when
- 49:35Speaker 1: the when the plate is being played? Because it ain't
- 49:37Speaker 1: not telling her you act with them? One is coming
- 49:38Speaker 1: through it, you know what? That's it. That's it. You
- 49:41Speaker 1: call me disrespecting me. I'm at what. They can't even
- 49:44Speaker 1: have this some more? You know what? Don't call me
- 49:45Speaker 1: no more, don't look at my girls no more. Man,
- 49:48Speaker 1: Come to the church and see what I got for you.
- 49:49Speaker 1: I don't want to know. Is you're gonna stop the job? Rating?
- 49:52Speaker 1: What is doing that thing? Who do they you're talking
- 49:57Speaker 1: to like that? You're supposed to be a minute of
- 49:59Speaker 1: st Yeah, us have done listening to tell you. Now
- 50:02Speaker 1: I'm getting ready to get well. I got one more
- 50:04Speaker 1: thing to say to you. Fold your league. Now. You
- 50:06Speaker 1: ain't got a damn thing to say to me. I
- 50:07Speaker 1: said I was down, and I said I got one
- 50:09Speaker 1: more thing to say. Is you listen? You know what? Men,
- 50:11Speaker 1: get off of my phone. I'm gonna say it. Anyway,
- 50:13Speaker 1: this is Nephew Timm. It's from the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 50:18Speaker 1: Your entire praise and ministry congregation. All your girls got me.
- 50:23Speaker 1: The frank phone called you. Oh I'm a shoot he
- 50:28Speaker 1: for real. Oh, I'm gonna think I'm cursing on the radio.
- 50:34Speaker 1: Oh oh, which is why I wasn't you know what?
- 50:38Speaker 1: It was all of them. I talked five of Now
- 50:41Speaker 1: I got some explaining this show. Lord, have mercy. You
- 50:45Speaker 1: did good, though, you did really you hung in there.
- 50:48Speaker 1: Oh wait, I talked to Bishop. You might want. Oh,
- 50:53Speaker 1: I think I'm gonna have a show. I got one
- 50:56Speaker 1: thing to ask you. Tell you what it is the
- 50:58Speaker 1: baddest radio show in the lad nobody else for the
- 51:01Speaker 1: Steve Harvey more on the show. What y'all thought? Certainly? Yeah,
- 51:09Speaker 1: I play too much, you know how Like you know,
- 51:12Speaker 1: poetry is not your favorite thing. No, there's some people
- 51:16Speaker 1: that be a church that really ain't into the praise dance.
- 51:19Speaker 1: You know. It's someone just don't like it. I don't
- 51:21Speaker 1: like it at all. I'm with you. I do not
- 51:24Speaker 1: like a mind praise dance. You don't mind care for.
- 51:27Speaker 1: I don't really into it either. I don't because I
- 51:30Speaker 1: don't move. I like it. It's OK. I don't mind it,
- 51:32Speaker 1: but I don't everything don't do nothing to me? What
- 51:37Speaker 1: is we're talking about? Stop all this praise him in
- 51:39Speaker 1: the song and then the dance, that's all. You know what,
- 51:42Speaker 1: But everybody that praise dance don't need to be first
- 51:44Speaker 1: of all, if I don't look good and praise dance
- 51:47Speaker 1: sound fit usually white. I went to church they had
- 51:52Speaker 1: a one um praise dances. Unbelieving. I cannot stand one
- 51:58Speaker 1: Harvey the routine here with one on doing everything. I
- 52:06Speaker 1: could not the lad and he was the only one
- 52:10Speaker 1: up there. I can't stand either the big ladies who
- 52:15Speaker 1: can't turn his fast. You're throwing off the unity. You're
- 52:24Speaker 1: throwing off the unity. But you know what, the blind
- 52:27Speaker 1: praise dancers, Oh my goodness, unbelieved. It was not on
- 52:30Speaker 1: step at all. Nothing. I'm glad. Nobody was together, nobody.
- 52:36Speaker 1: And you know what I'm saying is you know, well
- 52:40Speaker 1: we didn't go that way. Let me God, I thank
- 52:49Speaker 1: your nephew. Coming up next to this Today's Strawberry Letters subject,

- 53:17Speaker 1: your letter live on the air, just like we're gonna
- 53:19Speaker 1: do this one, right, nephew, that's right, so buckle up,
- 53:23Speaker 1: but hold on tight. We got it for you here
- 53:24Speaker 1: it is. It's that time the straw very letter subject
- 53:30Speaker 1: ain't nothing holy about his behavior, Dear Stephen Shirley. My
- 53:35Speaker 1: family has a church that they've been going to all
- 53:38Speaker 1: their life, and I recently joined. I decided to devote
- 53:43Speaker 1: my life to fellowship and service at this church. My
- 53:46Speaker 1: pastor is great, but I always thought he was a
- 53:49Speaker 1: bit creepy because of the strange relationship he has with
- 53:52Speaker 1: my cousins. I have been watching them for a while,
- 53:55Speaker 1: and then in a stewardship meeting, my pastor mistakenly call
- 53:59Speaker 1: my cousin babe or babe and she blushed. Immediately after
- 54:04Speaker 1: the meeting, I asked my cousin what's up with her
- 54:06Speaker 1: in the pastor, and she got all awkward and tried
- 54:09Speaker 1: to lie at first, but then she ended up spilling
- 54:12Speaker 1: the beans. I was devastated. My heart dropped, and I
- 54:17Speaker 1: couldn't believe what she had told me. She swore me
- 54:19Speaker 1: to secrecy, but I don't care about her feelings. I
- 54:22Speaker 1: care about the pastor's wife's feelings because she is ill
- 54:26Speaker 1: and I have the utmost respect for her as the
- 54:29Speaker 1: first lady of the church. Now, my family is whispering
- 54:32Speaker 1: about them messing around, and I'm having a hard time
- 54:35Speaker 1: acting naive. When they mentioned it. Two weeks ago, she
- 54:39Speaker 1: missed church, and the pastor pulled me to the side
- 54:42Speaker 1: and asked, where's my friend today. I guess my cousin
- 54:45Speaker 1: has shared with him that I'm in on their little secret.
- 54:49Speaker 1: He grosses me out now, and I want to find
- 54:51Speaker 1: a new church home. My grandmother told me that I
- 54:54Speaker 1: need to just focus on God and that's it. She said,
- 54:57Speaker 1: God will take care of my cousin and the past
- 55:00Speaker 1: I still want to leave this church, but I enjoy
- 55:02Speaker 1: sundays with my family. I'm so conflicted. What should I do?
- 55:07Speaker 1: Please advise? Wow, Well, first I have to tell you
- 55:13Speaker 1: this that God isn't just at that one church. God
- 55:16Speaker 1: is everywhere. Okay, I do agree with your grandmothers. She's right,
- 55:21Speaker 1: you do need to focus on God when you're at church,
- 55:24Speaker 1: and God will take care of your cousin and the pastor.
- 55:28Speaker 1: But I still see no reason for you to check
- 55:31Speaker 1: out another church if you just can't stomach going to
- 55:35Speaker 1: your family church any longer since you found out the
- 55:37Speaker 1: news about your cousin and the pastor. You also have
- 55:40Speaker 1: to know that just like there's mess going on at
- 55:44Speaker 1: church church, there's mess at a whole bunch of churches. Okay,
- 55:48Speaker 1: I mean there's mess at other churches too. I mean
- 55:51Speaker 1: you just have to know that. Remember, pastors are human,
- 55:54Speaker 1: they are mere mortals, and they're not God. Okay, even
- 55:58Speaker 1: though we do hold them to a higher stand at
- 56:00Speaker 1: a church, we do put them on a pedestal. But
- 56:03Speaker 1: you know, if you don't want to leave, and you
- 56:06Speaker 1: do want to enjoy Sundays with your family, you're going
- 56:09Speaker 1: to have to not judge and do like your grandmother said,
- 56:12Speaker 1: take her advice and let God deal with that. Um,
- 56:15Speaker 1: you know, with handling the situation with your pastor and
- 56:20Speaker 1: your cousin. Um, if you're no longer getting fed there,
- 56:23Speaker 1: that's something different. Then of course, you know, go to
- 56:26Speaker 1: a different church. But I see no reason for you
- 56:28Speaker 1: to check out a different church if you just can't
- 56:31Speaker 1: stand to be in their presence. You know, if that's
- 56:34Speaker 1: if that's not what you're into, I definitely can support
- 56:37Speaker 1: you in that. Steve, well, well, well if it ain't
- 56:44Speaker 1: Green Leaf, Yeah, we on own network. Now what's my shop?
- 56:54Speaker 1: Don't do this to me. You did it to yourself.
- 56:57Speaker 1: My family has a church. They've been going on too
- 57:00Speaker 1: all that life. My pastor is great. But see this
- 57:03Speaker 1: statement my pastor is great. But it usually take a
- 57:07Speaker 1: little bit longer for a person to say, but but
- 57:10Speaker 1: my pastor great. But let me just this woman trying
- 57:14Speaker 1: to get to this damn letter. I always thought he
- 57:18Speaker 1: was a bit creepy because of a strange relationship he
- 57:21Speaker 1: has with my cousins. Now, let's see, when you say
- 57:25Speaker 1: strange relationship with your cousin, I'm assuming your cousin is
- 57:31Speaker 1: a female soul. What is this strangeness that you've noticed.
- 57:36Speaker 1: I've been watching them for a while. It's when you
- 57:39Speaker 1: know you had one of them churches. I was at
- 57:41Speaker 1: a stewardessship meeting. Now what is that? Truely, I don't know.
- 57:45Speaker 1: It tells you how to be a good Steward's over
- 57:47Speaker 1: what you have. I don't know anybody knew what a
- 57:50Speaker 1: Stewardship meeting me. I'd have been on a deal meet.
- 57:53Speaker 1: I've been a couple Deacon Boyd, I don't remember that.
- 57:57Speaker 1: I'd have been the choir rehearsal. Yeah, it's been in
- 58:00Speaker 1: the pastor's office for custing. That's office, cousin. Oh yeah,
- 58:09Speaker 1: y'all had to go, and there's quite a fear. I've
- 58:11Speaker 1: been in that probably six times. Bout cousin brother Stevie's mouth.
- 58:16Speaker 1: Oh Stevie, this is when you were younger. Yeah I was,
- 58:21Speaker 1: but I'm still going there now, but I probably won't
- 58:24Speaker 1: go Anyway, my pastor mistakenly called my cousin babe or babe,
- 58:30Speaker 1: and she blood he hadn't lost his damn he didn't
- 58:34Speaker 1: got so damn com So what about you, bab I
- 58:38Speaker 1: mean sister Poli, I mean babe, first first lead. I'm sorry,
- 58:46Speaker 1: headed up board. So anyway, immediately after the meeting, I
- 58:50Speaker 1: asked my cousin what was up with her in the pastor?
- 58:53Speaker 1: Now you know what was up? Because you've always thought
- 58:55Speaker 1: the man was creepy because of this relationship you had
- 58:59Speaker 1: with your cousin just been going on. She got all
- 59:01Speaker 1: awkward and tried to live. First day, she just ended up.
- 59:04Speaker 1: I was devastating. She spilled the beans. I was devastating.
- 59:08Speaker 1: My heart dropped. I couldn't believe what she told me.
- 59:11Speaker 1: She swore me to secrecy. But I don't care about
- 59:13Speaker 1: her feelings. I care about the passing feelings pastors wife
- 59:17Speaker 1: feeling because she is ill. Oh, pastor wife's that ain't
- 59:23Speaker 1: what she is. This ain't called little bit. Yeah, this
- 59:25Speaker 1: ain't that. She ain't got a cold. We're gonna have
- 59:28Speaker 1: to guess what that is, Junior. Do a sound like
- 59:30Speaker 1: sickle sille? Do you now? They do a sound like
- 59:36Speaker 1: diabetes to you? All right, covered them too, We got
- 59:41Speaker 1: damn Part two of Steve's respond to do a sound
- 59:44Speaker 1: like she ignorant? To you? That all the conditions on
- 59:49Speaker 1: this show. We'll be back with part two of Steve's
- 59:51Speaker 1: responds to twenty three after the hour you're listening show.
- 59:57Speaker 1: Let's recap today's strawberry letter and come. This woman been
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: going to this family one family had been going to
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: this church for years. She decided she wanted to join
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: the church and serve her time and fellowship and service
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: to God. But she had been having weird feelings about
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: to pass because the way he act with a cousin.
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: They're in a stewardship meeting learning some up in there
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: and he mess ryding call a baby baby, so she
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: confronted him. She confronted her after the thing and asked
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: her what was up. She tried to lie. Then she
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: spilled all the beings. Didn't The lady said that she
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: spilled the being. She said, I was devastated. My heart dropped.
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: I can't believe what she told him. She swore me
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: to secrecy. I didn't care about her feelings. I care
- 1:00:40Speaker 1: about to pass a white feelings because she's ill now.
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: We don't went over the show. We didn't find out
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: that the end it ain't sick herself now, and we
- 1:00:50Speaker 1: found out it ain't die beating, and Thomas says, she
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: ain't suffering from igness illness. I'm going over all the
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: stuff that wrong with the people on the show crazy.
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: So it don't sound like crazy to me. Yes, Shirley, dude,
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: she sounds bullshie to you. Okay, so she ain't bushie.
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: This college doesn't sound like she's suffering from an overdosehood
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: yea overdoses. Sound like she country is hell. Come on, Mississippi. Okay, cool,
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: she don't have none of that, so we will not
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: know what's wrong with the first round. Now, my family
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: is whispering about them messing around, and I'm having a
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: hard time acting naive when they mentioned it. Well, your
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: family been whispering about them messing around. It's just you
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: just became a member of the church, and now you
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: prove it to the inside information. They've been thanking this
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: for a long time. You just came to the party. Girl,
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: You ain't gotta act naive. Ain't know two weeks ago
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: she missed church in the past and pulled me to
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: the side as well. My little friend at the wow, Well,
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: I guess my cousin that shared with him that I'm
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: in on their little secret. He grosses me out now
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: and I want to find a new church home. You should.
- 1:02:11Speaker 1: My grandmama told me I need to just focus on God,
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: and they said, well you can't cause you're in there
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: with a pimp. And she can't focus on the church
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: because passes the pimp. I don't know where you got now, dog,
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: go on it, let's stop all this. Well, it's a
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: the focus because the passes of pim sitting up in

- 1:02:32Speaker 1: on God. That says she can't because pimp in the bullpit.
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: She said, God will take care of my cousin in
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: the pastor that's after they die. You got to get
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: out to church. Now you can't even focus. I still
- 1:02:44Speaker 1: want to leave the church. And you should sitting up
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: in here watching him just do what he want to
- 1:02:48Speaker 1: do with your cousin, and your cousin act like it's

- 1:02:52Speaker 1: He can't even find out what she got. Six damn
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: adults on this shot and we still don't know where
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: she got shelled. This ain't no sickness. She ain't got
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: the coffer, no damn flu. She is something really wrong
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: with this woman days when she can't even make it

- 1:03:16Speaker 1: this damn church. We're just not gonna do it. Should
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: that have been the subject, Steven said, it ain't nothing
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: holy about his behavior? Well, ain't nothing holy about his play? Well,

- 1:03:44Speaker 1: should get into another church? Got to get out of there.
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: Why is he talking like this, trying to get his

- 1:09:47Speaker 1: they're saying. According to no damn people, fifty five dollars
- 1:09:53Speaker 1: about five dollars and fifty one cents per person. It
- 1:09:56Speaker 1: wasn't per person. Family is now listen now this amount.
- 1:10:00Speaker 1: It is based on ninety six volunteer shoppers in twenty
- 1:10:03Speaker 1: eight states checking retail prices at their local grocery store
- 1:10:08Speaker 1: to determine the overall costs. Okay, this is what the

- 1:12:50Speaker 1: Four pounds of watermelon for dessert? Watermelon for dessert? No
- 1:12:56Speaker 1: pounds watermelon? That ain't even a whole damn water. That's
- 1:13:02Speaker 1: the same amount as the spare ribs as it is.
- 1:13:04Speaker 1: That's the same amount got to eat. Yeah, well we
- 1:13:08Speaker 1: know this, no seconds, we know that. How much we
- 1:13:13Speaker 1: gonna eat? It's how much you can't, That's what it is.

- 1:13:46Speaker 1: don't walk ass back up your lin and you ain't
- 1:13:51Speaker 1: you ain't wait till we served it's watermelon? No how
- 1:13:54Speaker 1: to hold on? Hey, I need everybody to teach you
- 1:13:59Speaker 1: what who over here got this half couple sitting over here?
- 1:14:07Speaker 1: A whole half of dixie cup? You're listening to morning show. Well,
- 1:14:16Speaker 1: we know moms had it rough when schools were closed
- 1:14:19Speaker 1: as a result of the pandemic. Carla, I know you
- 1:14:21Speaker 1: were struggling during that time. Did it, girl? Did it?
- 1:14:25Speaker 1: But a new report reveals just how bad it was
- 1:14:28Speaker 1: for moms and women around the world. According to a
- 1:14:32Speaker 1: study from the Center for Global Development, a nonprofit that
- 1:14:35Speaker 1: works to reduce global poverty, working age women put in
- 1:14:39Speaker 1: an average of one hundred and seventy three hours of
- 1:14:42Speaker 1: extra unpaid childcare through October of last year. That's a lot.
- 1:14:48Speaker 1: That's almost three times what working women of what working
- 1:14:51Speaker 1: age men put in. Any surprise there, no, I don't
- 1:14:54Speaker 1: think so. We knew there was a gap, but the
- 1:14:58Speaker 1: immense inequality on who is providing unpaid care is staggering.
- 1:15:03Speaker 1: This is according to Charles Kenny, a senior fellow at
- 1:15:06Speaker 1: the Center for Global Development, unpaid care burdens continue to
- 1:15:10Speaker 1: pile up for women, and every hour women provide childcare
- 1:15:14Speaker 1: for free is an hour that they can't build their
- 1:15:16Speaker 1: own businesses. Well, now we know why we've been so tired.
- 1:15:21Speaker 1: Are you surprised by these findings or have you lived
- 1:15:24Speaker 1: at firsthand? And we know you have, Carla, but are
- 1:15:27Speaker 1: you surprised by any of this? I am surprised. And
- 1:15:30Speaker 1: for how many hours? It's just a lot when you
- 1:15:33Speaker 1: sit down and count and the toll that it took
- 1:15:37Speaker 1: on a lot of working moms, It was a lot.
- 1:15:40Speaker 1: The pandemic for a long time, for a long time.
- 1:15:43Speaker 1: But hopefully things will get back to normal. So normalcy,
- 1:15:47Speaker 1: and we need to straighten out this gap for sure.
- 1:15:50Speaker 1: That's right, that's a man step up. Coming up, we'll
- 1:15:53Speaker 1: have more on the Steve Harvey Morning Show at thirty
- 1:15:56Speaker 1: three minutes after the hour. Right after this, you're listening
- 1:16:00Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, come on, Steve introduced
- 1:16:04Speaker 1: Jay Anthony Brown so he can murder another hit. Yeah,
- 1:16:08Speaker 1: you know, I used to gladly introduce him, but I've
- 1:16:12Speaker 1: started losing friendship. You're not gonna lose a friend today.
- 1:16:16Speaker 1: Sky okay, Jazz Danny Brown Murderdy, hit boy, this is
- 1:16:21Speaker 1: not This is not a hit. I'm murdering. This is
- 1:16:23Speaker 1: the original song. The song right here and that's coming
- 1:16:26Speaker 1: up is an original song. It's dedicated to every man
- 1:16:30Speaker 1: who was tired of answering question day, what the hell
- 1:16:34Speaker 1: you ba my business? You can't hear you talk to me?

- 1:17:26Speaker 1: smell that, So whose hair is danced? When my condus go?
- 1:17:29Speaker 1: I said once? I said again, because there's your friends,
- 1:17:33Speaker 1: So cancel out this questions. Stop it with the questions, listen,
- 1:17:38Speaker 1: I bother be originally didn't will creed a freaking with
- 1:17:42Speaker 1: the questions, stop it with the questions. Damn, I can't
- 1:17:47Speaker 1: believe my young thing? Hen my phoning me? Can't he
- 1:17:51Speaker 1: calling me? Texting me, harassing me about where I be?
- 1:17:56Speaker 1: Who I didn't get your car? Wear a ben? He
- 1:17:59Speaker 1: smelled my gym? Smell that? So? Whose hair is this?
- 1:18:03Speaker 1: The condoms? Go? I seen it once? I see it
- 1:18:06Speaker 1: again because some kids this questions, but with the question
- 1:18:13Speaker 1: every man, Yeah that was really good. Rab Hawkins Junior, Yeah, man,
- 1:18:22Speaker 1: that's really good. But whatever, help I don't care if
- 1:18:26Speaker 1: you wrote a tongue about it. We're not gonna stop yet.
- 1:18:31Speaker 1: Like gambly you thank who has this? Ye? Where your
- 1:18:36Speaker 1: condoms got? Like? So why you smell? Like? Whose hands? Whose? Whatever?
- 1:18:45Speaker 1: Are you answering questions? Why why you got napkins in here? House? Man?
- 1:18:55Speaker 1: When you started wearing body book? Where that come from? Right?
- 1:19:06Speaker 1: All right? Coming up our last break of the day
- 1:19:09Speaker 1: and some closing remarks from the one and only Steve Harvey.
- 1:19:13Speaker 1: Right after this, we'll be back at forty nine. After
- 1:19:16Speaker 1: you're listening to Steve, what do you have for us?
- 1:19:21Speaker 1: Closing remarks wise today, Yeah, here's something that I think
- 1:19:27Speaker 1: is very helpful to people, and it would to help
- 1:19:30Speaker 1: you open yourself up to really what God truly can
- 1:19:35Speaker 1: have for you. And the reason I'm saying that is
- 1:19:38Speaker 1: because oftentimes we limit what God can do in our
- 1:19:43Speaker 1: lives simply by the way we think and simply by
- 1:19:48Speaker 1: our expectations. God has no He's limitless. You can't put
- 1:19:55Speaker 1: him in a box. You can't put what God can
- 1:19:58Speaker 1: do for you in the parameters of your thinking. What
- 1:20:03Speaker 1: you've got to do is you've got to open up
- 1:20:05Speaker 1: your mind so you can be open to all of
- 1:20:09Speaker 1: His goodness and what He can do for you. And
- 1:20:12Speaker 1: I'm saying that to say this because a lot of
- 1:20:16Speaker 1: times people ask God and only think about stuff that
- 1:20:21Speaker 1: they can see themselves attaining. Basically, with your check, there's
- 1:20:28Speaker 1: a scripture that says you have not because you ask not. Well,
- 1:20:31Speaker 1: then most people go, Lord, help me make my rent.
- 1:20:34Speaker 1: And then I have to ask you, well, don't he always?
- 1:20:37Speaker 1: Why would you not ask God for a mortgage? Well,
- 1:20:41Speaker 1: become a homeowner. Then here comes the thinking of man
- 1:20:45Speaker 1: when you start putting in stuff like, well, I don't
- 1:20:48Speaker 1: make enough money, my credit score. I haven't been on
- 1:20:54Speaker 1: my job long enough. I can't afford that. Therefore, why
- 1:21:00Speaker 1: would I sit up and ask for that? See, you,
- 1:21:03Speaker 1: you're knocking yourself out of so many blessings that God
- 1:21:07Speaker 1: can have for you by your limited thinking. Because God
- 1:21:12Speaker 1: has no limits, so you have to open up your mind,
- 1:21:16Speaker 1: so you have to start thinking of things that is
- 1:21:19Speaker 1: in your imagination. Why would you not ask God for
- 1:21:23Speaker 1: a big house? You don't think that God got enough
- 1:21:27Speaker 1: sense based on this scripture? You have not called your
- 1:21:30Speaker 1: ass not Most people don't ask because they don't see
- 1:21:33Speaker 1: no way. They can't get it. You don't think that
- 1:21:35Speaker 1: if you ask God for a big house. You don't
- 1:21:37Speaker 1: think he got enough sense to make a way for
- 1:21:39Speaker 1: you to get the house. You don't think that he
- 1:21:43Speaker 1: knows that you need more money and that he know
- 1:21:45Speaker 1: how to make a way for you to make more money.
- 1:21:47Speaker 1: You don't think he got that part figured out. You
- 1:21:49Speaker 1: think he needs your help figuring that out. You don't
- 1:21:52Speaker 1: think that he know that if you got an X
- 1:21:54Speaker 1: amount of dollars, your credit score really don't matter. You
- 1:21:56Speaker 1: don't think he know that He know all of that,
- 1:22:00Speaker 1: but you've limited to see what he can do and
- 1:22:02Speaker 1: how you can move in your life because you won't
- 1:22:05Speaker 1: think big enough. That is a book that changed my life.
- 1:22:10Speaker 1: The name of the book is called The Magic of
- 1:22:12Speaker 1: Thinking Big, and it's by David Schwartz. It's the Magic
- 1:22:17Speaker 1: of Thinking Big, and I didn't understand this until I
- 1:22:20Speaker 1: was selling Amway. Amway was one of the greatest periods
- 1:22:25Speaker 1: of my life because it introduced me to a positive books.
- 1:22:30Speaker 1: It introduced me to self motivation and self help books.
- 1:22:34Speaker 1: And those are really the only books I read outside
- 1:22:37Speaker 1: of the Bible. I don't read anything. I don't read novels,
- 1:22:40Speaker 1: love stories. Ain't got no time for that. But The
- 1:22:42Speaker 1: Power of Positive Thinking about Norman Vincent Peale, Thinking Grow
- 1:22:45Speaker 1: Rich by Napoleon Hill, The Magic of Thinking Big by
- 1:22:49Speaker 1: David Schwartz. I have time to read that because the
- 1:22:52Speaker 1: Magic of Thinking Big taught me something. It taught me
- 1:22:56Speaker 1: that it does not require any more brain power to
- 1:23:00Speaker 1: think big than it does to think small. It doesn't
- 1:23:03Speaker 1: require anymore You ain't got the grunt you look. You
- 1:23:08Speaker 1: can say Voteswagon, or you can say Rose Royce. It
- 1:23:12Speaker 1: doesn't Your brain don't have to shift and burn most sales,
- 1:23:18Speaker 1: and you gotta throw yourself into something to say Rose
- 1:23:21Speaker 1: Royce versus Votswagon. It doesn't hurt more to say rent
- 1:23:27Speaker 1: or mortgage. It doesn't hurt no more to say new
- 1:23:32Speaker 1: card than use card. It doesn't hurt more to say
- 1:23:37Speaker 1: hand me down. Then it cast such, then it cost
- 1:23:41Speaker 1: you to say brand new. If you buy this book,
- 1:23:44Speaker 1: The Magic of Thinking Big by David Schwartz, it's an
- 1:23:46Speaker 1: amazing way. It changed my thinking in my twenties, and
- 1:23:50Speaker 1: so I started thinking big. Once I started thinking big,
- 1:23:54Speaker 1: I started opening up to the possibilities of God. Because
- 1:23:57Speaker 1: God is big? Am I not right? God is big?
- 1:24:01Speaker 1: So why would you get in the way of his
- 1:24:03Speaker 1: bigness with your small mindedness. See, you're getting in the
- 1:24:07Speaker 1: way of your blessings by the way you think. You
- 1:24:10Speaker 1: keep thinking in terms of your paycheck. Get God ain't
- 1:24:13Speaker 1: in your paycheck. Get out of your paycheck, man, Get
- 1:24:16Speaker 1: out of your current situations. Where you are is just temporary.
- 1:24:20Speaker 1: God has another place for you. God got a great
- 1:24:24Speaker 1: life for you, but you got to invite him in
- 1:24:27Speaker 1: and let him show it to you. Quit wasting his
- 1:24:31Speaker 1: time with this little bit of man. Get out of
- 1:24:33Speaker 1: your own way. You are in your way with your
- 1:24:38Speaker 1: limited thinking. People ask me all the time, man, Why
- 1:24:42Speaker 1: are you always at the meetings? Why are you? Why
- 1:24:44Speaker 1: don't you just sit out and take your day off?
- 1:24:45Speaker 1: Because I can't get where I'm going sitting down taking
- 1:24:48Speaker 1: my days off. I'm about the business of becoming successful
- 1:24:52Speaker 1: and happy. Now. Am I successful? Yeah? Am I happy? Yeah?
- 1:24:56Speaker 1: Happier than I ever been? But and I have everything
- 1:25:00Speaker 1: I need? Can I tell y'all that I don't need
- 1:25:03Speaker 1: nothing else? But I'm in the wrong side of life.
- 1:25:07Speaker 1: I just won't. I'm not greedy. I'm not asking you
- 1:25:11Speaker 1: to give me nothing. I'm willing to work for other things.
- 1:25:14Speaker 1: I want. I want to see how the other class
- 1:25:17Speaker 1: of people live. I want to see what that's like.
- 1:25:19Speaker 1: I want to see what it's like when my grandchildren's
- 1:25:23Speaker 1: children will remember my name because I left them something,
- 1:25:27Speaker 1: because I created a legacy that I put money away
- 1:25:30Speaker 1: from my grandchildren and my children's children. That's what I'm
- 1:25:34Speaker 1: working home. You can do that. God is capable. Get
- 1:25:38Speaker 1: out your way. This is the book again, y'all, The
