- 0:06Speaker 2: It's to show that she is the secrets of success
- 0:08Speaker 2: experience firsthand by marketing and Brandon expert Rashan McDonald. I
- 0:12Speaker 2: will know he's giving me advice on many occasions. In
- 0:14Speaker 2: the case she didn't notice, I'm not broke. You know,
- 0:17Speaker 2: he'll be interviewing celebrity CEOs and entrepreneurs and industry decision
- 0:21Speaker 2: make because it's what he likes to do.
- 0:22Speaker 1: It's what he likes to share.
- 0:24Speaker 2: Now it's time to hear from my man, Rashan McDonald
- 0:27Speaker 2: money Making Conversations.
- 0:28Speaker 1: Here we come.
- 0:30Speaker 3: I guess as Jermaine Bowles Lethridge. She's the founder of
- 0:34Speaker 3: I Know Skincare. Her travelazing spirit and commitment to excellence
- 0:38Speaker 3: continues to inspire, shining as a radiant beacon with I
- 0:41Speaker 3: Know Skin tear treatment solutions.
- 0:43Speaker 1: It was inspired Brahma. You know.
- 0:45Speaker 3: The inspiration compisable from somewhere and it's her late mother
- 0:47Speaker 3: who inspired this. Their goal is to create a community
- 0:50Speaker 3: and embraces and support the movement of hashtag real age.
- 0:54Speaker 3: I've never subscribed to the marketing concept of anti agent.
- 0:57Speaker 1: That's what she says.
- 0:57Speaker 3: It's anti means to go against it. If you're anti agent,
- 1:01Speaker 3: you're not evolving and no longer existing.
- 1:04Speaker 1: Charlene theorem.
- 1:05Speaker 3: The actress had a big story about that recently, when
- 1:08Speaker 3: people was talking about she.
- 1:09Speaker 1: Was aging, she said, I'm getting old. Dealing with it.
- 1:11Speaker 1: I'm getting old. Okay.
- 1:13Speaker 3: The pro agent means moving forward and embracing their journey. Please,
- 1:16Speaker 3: welcome to the Money Making Conversations Master Class. Jermaine Bow's Letharige.
- 1:20Speaker 4: How you doing, I'm wonderful. How are you?
- 1:23Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 1:23Speaker 3: It was perfect timing because I was you know, you know,
- 1:26Speaker 3: I always served the internet and I came across this
- 1:29Speaker 3: article with Charlene and one of my favorite actresses out there.
- 1:33Speaker 3: You know, she has a serious movie on Netflix I
- 1:37Speaker 3: watched over and over called Old Guard because she's very
- 1:39Speaker 3: physical and she can do she's a former model and
- 1:42Speaker 3: she was and people make people accusing her of plastic
- 1:45Speaker 3: surgery and all these things. She would say, Hey, deal
- 1:48Speaker 3: with it. I gotta get old sometimes, okay, sometimes along
- 1:53Speaker 3: the way some people try to try to stop that
- 1:56Speaker 3: through plastic surgery. But in this and I don't. I've
- 2:00Speaker 3: never had plessor. I'm not against anybody who does have
- 2:02Speaker 3: PLESSU surgeon, but you against the pro talk of anti aging, correct, I.
- 2:08Speaker 4: Totally am, because that's an unachievable objective. If you know,
- 2:14Speaker 4: really every day that God allows you to wake up,
- 2:17Speaker 4: you're getting older. And so when you have that kind
- 2:21Speaker 4: of mindset, that's when depression sets in, right, that's when
- 2:25Speaker 4: you start living because you can't achieve that objective. It's
- 2:30Speaker 4: not sustainable. You know, however you choose to. You know,
- 2:34Speaker 4: if you want to do both talks, if you want
- 2:36Speaker 4: to do those things, that's fine, but still know you're
- 2:39Speaker 4: still aging. And you know we got a change it
- 2:42Speaker 4: with Sean. It's a privilege to get older, and I'm great.
- 2:49Speaker 1: I'm great opportism, Jamaine. It's hard though. Society.
- 2:54Speaker 3: It's a society pushing that the youth in front of
- 2:56Speaker 3: you because they know that's how they make money if
- 2:59Speaker 3: they if they can come vish you that you can
- 3:02Speaker 3: look younger by wearing you know what is the little
- 3:06Speaker 3: skim type clothes and keep your quote unquote in shape
- 3:09Speaker 3: or or or plastic surgery or or or that little
- 3:14Speaker 3: And I'm telling you, I'm always tempted. I'm tell you something,
- 3:16Speaker 3: and I'm not a vain person at all, but boy,
- 3:18Speaker 3: I'll be looking at them them them late night commercial
- 3:21Speaker 3: when they talked about tipening up them wrinkles under your eyes,
- 3:23Speaker 3: I'll be so tempted.
- 3:25Speaker 1: I'd be so.
- 3:31Speaker 4: And it's fine, but you still have to be really realistic, right,
- 3:35Speaker 4: you're still and what happens is and that's why I
- 3:40Speaker 4: am really leading this band with people understanding that the
- 3:45Speaker 4: wind happens in the fourth quarter and you can do
- 3:49Speaker 4: well up until your forty, but it's how you accept
- 3:54Speaker 4: this aging process will determine how you leave out of
- 3:57Speaker 4: here and its society t advertisers. Everybody wants that twenty
- 4:03Speaker 4: five to fifty four and the hecky with everybody else,
- 4:07Speaker 4: But if they really look at you know, I just
- 4:10Speaker 4: came back from Martha's Vineyard and the demographics there is
- 4:16Speaker 4: the more mature forty in up right, and we're spending
- 4:19Speaker 4: a lot of money. We want what we want, We're
- 4:23Speaker 4: drinking the finest of wines, and we will spend money
- 4:28Speaker 4: for the things we desire. They are missing a boatload
- 4:32Speaker 4: of money because I'm not spending my money with anybody
- 4:36Speaker 4: that's going to advertise a young girl with her short
- 4:39Speaker 4: dress on. I'm not gonna look at your site. So
- 4:43Speaker 4: you're missing that, you know, they got to understand this
- 4:47Speaker 4: Auntie for lot.
- 4:48Speaker 3: So you're saying, so you're saying that advertisers because my
- 4:53Speaker 3: guests owned several weeks ago, and I was saying, Wow,
- 4:56Speaker 3: it's just so many people over sixty five walking around.
- 4:59Speaker 3: Then I realized, I'm one of those people. Okay, walk
- 5:01Speaker 3: just walk around. It's so many of us that you know,
- 5:04Speaker 3: you know, I would I would just tell you this, Jermaine,
- 5:07Speaker 3: my mind said, because you know, I don't even think
- 5:09Speaker 3: about age. And so sometimes I've been talking about the
- 5:11Speaker 3: old people. If you're talking about you, Jell, but you
- 5:14Speaker 3: need to look in the mirror. You one of those
- 5:16Speaker 3: old people you're talking about because of the fact that Jamaine,
- 5:20Speaker 3: sometimes it is a mindset. And so so when I
- 5:23Speaker 3: was when I when the opportunity to come on my
- 5:24Speaker 3: show was presented, and you was talking about the anti
- 5:27Speaker 3: agent talk, real age and all that. It is really
- 5:31Speaker 3: what people have to think. If you get caught up
- 5:34Speaker 3: in a number, and that's where people go wrong, get
- 5:37Speaker 3: caught up in a number, that's when you start to lose.
- 5:39Speaker 4: Am I right, you absolutely are. And I'm a Delta
- 5:43Speaker 4: and we have this thing called Delta Deers and it
- 5:46Speaker 4: starts to sitting and when we had in face meeting,
- 5:50Speaker 4: they were like, well, the Delta deers go up front,
- 5:52Speaker 4: and I was like, oh, the Delta deers get upfront.
- 5:56Speaker 4: You do know, Jermain, you are a Delta deer. But
- 6:01Speaker 4: also because you said but they're in the process of
- 6:06Speaker 4: changing changing that number because you don't reflect a Delta deer.
- 6:14Speaker 4: And so and I always say, I'm going to be
- 6:17Speaker 4: the oldest youngest person in every world, right.
- 6:20Speaker 3: Right, right, right right, Well, you know, you know the
- 6:22Speaker 3: thing about it is that I'm talking to my girl.
- 6:25Speaker 3: You know, see I had AKA early. Now I got
- 6:28Speaker 3: Delta that so I'm not trying. I didn't book it
- 6:30Speaker 3: like that. I just found out that you know, this
- 6:32Speaker 3: is a you know, Sarargi fraternity show.
- 6:34Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying.
- 6:35Speaker 3: But Jermaine, you know, I know skincare treatment. Your late
- 6:40Speaker 3: mom inspired this. Tell us about what is I know skincare?
- 6:46Speaker 4: Okay, Well, you know, ra Sean, I've been in the
- 6:48Speaker 4: beauty space for over thirty years, right, helping build a
- 6:52Speaker 4: lot of brands and working with them, Mayel being one,
- 6:56Speaker 4: to Leo Wajid, Kenyon, Kenya more hair kids, and it's
- 7:01Speaker 4: always been my privilege and honor to help other people
- 7:05Speaker 4: realize their dreams and to create legacy wealth for their family,
- 7:11Speaker 4: and in turn, I make my money, you know. I mean,
- 7:16Speaker 4: I'm not doing it for free, but money is not
- 7:20Speaker 4: what I look at first when you operate in excellence
- 7:24Speaker 4: and you really want to see other people when your
- 7:26Speaker 4: money comes. And so I've always wanted to do something
- 7:32Speaker 4: for myself, but I always felt it was a conflict
- 7:35Speaker 4: of interest. How do you push yourself and push others
- 7:39Speaker 4: at the same time. And so I was going through this.
- 7:43Speaker 4: I did some focus groups when I was in my
- 7:46Speaker 4: late forties, trying to get some of my brands to
- 7:49Speaker 4: really look at the importance of this of the baby boomer,
- 7:54Speaker 4: and really no one was really interested in it that much.
- 7:58Speaker 4: A little bit Gary Gardner with as and.
- 8:03Speaker 1: Marketing space space for for.
- 8:05Speaker 4: A long time because I was getting older. And what
- 8:08Speaker 4: happened my stylust when, like I said, I was forty nine,
- 8:13Speaker 4: my stylus was spraying something on my hair and I said,
- 8:16Speaker 4: what is that? She said, Paul Mitchell came up with
- 8:18Speaker 4: this product called Younger Looking Hair. I said, really, she
- 8:22Speaker 4: said yeah. They said that the women were complaining that
- 8:25Speaker 4: the product no longer worked. But what they discovered is
- 8:29Speaker 4: it wasn't that the product didn't work, that the consumer
- 8:33Speaker 4: is changing and you know, DHT is hitting the follicle
- 8:38Speaker 4: and thinning the hair out. So they had to now
- 8:43Speaker 4: address this growing customer consumer base, her now her new needs.
- 8:49Speaker 4: And so that really sparked my interest. And so in
- 8:54Speaker 4: just looking, you know, my my prayer every morning is
- 8:56Speaker 4: God give me new visions so that I can always
- 8:59Speaker 4: see the opportunity. And so when my mom was transitioning,
- 9:05Speaker 4: everybody talked that walked into that hospital room. They talked
- 9:09Speaker 4: about how beautiful a skin was. She always told if
- 9:13Speaker 4: you take care of your skin now, to take care
- 9:14Speaker 4: of you later. And so I was in there, I
- 9:18Speaker 4: was like, and it just when you're seeing someone that
- 9:21Speaker 4: you love, you know, leave this earth. It's like, if
- 9:26Speaker 4: I don't do something for myself now, when will I.
- 9:30Speaker 4: I had purchased Amby, and but I didn't start that.
- 9:36Speaker 3: You know, yeah, I.
- 9:40Speaker 4: Had already, it was already created, it already had the distribution.
- 9:44Speaker 4: I wanted to start something from its infancy stage, from
- 9:48Speaker 4: the concept and how if I helped other people do it,
- 9:52Speaker 4: could I do it for myself? So when my mom passed.
- 9:57Speaker 4: It was like, oh my god, what I know is
- 10:00Speaker 4: and the name came up for Sean. I'm like, you know,
- 10:03Speaker 4: when you get a certain age, you know what you know?
- 10:06Speaker 4: You know. It's like I know who I don't want
- 10:09Speaker 4: in my space, I know what I shouldn't eat because
- 10:12Speaker 4: I'm a gain that ten pounds. If your whole foundation
- 10:16Speaker 4: is based on your I knows right. And so that's
- 10:20Speaker 4: how the name came up.
- 10:22Speaker 1: And funny in the way because that's how we know.
- 10:24Speaker 3: You know, you know, you know, you know, you know right,
- 10:28Speaker 3: And in this situation, I know, I know, I.
- 10:31Speaker 4: Know if that's affirming, that's affirming, I know that, and
- 10:36Speaker 4: it puts you in a mindset like I am I
- 10:40Speaker 4: know that I'm gonna get non figures from this brand
- 10:46Speaker 4: because it's an market. I know that I'm going to
- 10:50Speaker 4: keep myself healthy that so that you will never be
- 10:53Speaker 4: able to guess my age, you know. So it's a
- 10:56Speaker 4: lot of things that you know. And we have the
- 10:59Speaker 4: dragon fly because in my my lowest point of grief,
- 11:05Speaker 4: the dragonfly just hovered over the hood of my car
- 11:09Speaker 4: and I looked it up and it was saying that
- 11:12Speaker 4: this the dragonfly is born in the water and then
- 11:16Speaker 4: it gets takes flight and becomes the creature of the air.
- 11:20Speaker 4: And if you look at the dragonfly, it's pivoting constantly.
- 11:24Speaker 1: Get you know, the interesting when you say that.
- 11:27Speaker 3: The interesting thing when you say that is that you
- 11:29Speaker 3: know it's when you say hovering over, you know, looking
- 11:32Speaker 3: over a transformation with your butter cocoon to a butterfly.
- 11:36Speaker 3: It's always a transformation. That's what your product is about.
- 11:40Speaker 3: But you know the thing about it and that we're
- 11:41Speaker 3: gonna we're gonna go to break because I don't want
- 11:43Speaker 3: to get too extended on this thought process. But it
- 11:46Speaker 3: comes back to accepting you. You know, I know this
- 11:52Speaker 3: is who I am because I'm telling you and anybody
- 11:55Speaker 3: who's listening to me. As you get older, you get questioned,
- 11:59Speaker 3: you get beat up, you get told what you can't do.
- 12:02Speaker 3: They you know, they tell you you're gonna your dreams stop, stop,
- 12:06Speaker 3: stop dreaming.
- 12:07Speaker 1: You know you can't start a business. You know, you
- 12:10Speaker 1: know they have you.
- 12:10Speaker 3: Walking around this whole planet, you know, telling you just
- 12:14Speaker 3: keep walking.
- 12:14Speaker 1: But what you're walking for? What what the walk gonna.
- 12:17Speaker 3: Do for you? You know? What goals are you allowing me
- 12:20Speaker 3: to have? And I find that I find the I
- 12:23Speaker 3: Know mantra so inspiring. When we come back, We're gonna
- 12:26Speaker 3: continue this conversation because I really want to get into
- 12:28Speaker 3: the whole you know, anti age, the real talk of
- 12:32Speaker 3: what real age is about. Because not only your project
- 12:35Speaker 3: is your product. I say, your product, facial product is motivational,
- 12:39Speaker 3: but it lends itself to how we should look at
- 12:41Speaker 3: life in general. Right back for more Money Making Conversation Masterclass.

- 13:36Speaker 7: Grammar Award nominated singer Kiera Sheer Kelly's new book, Big
- 13:40Speaker 7: Bowl and Beautiful Owning the Woman God Made You to
- 13:43Speaker 7: be is a must read as she shares her advice
- 13:46Speaker 7: on body positivity, goal setting, and leading with your gifts.
- 13:50Speaker 8: Everything should not be taken personally. So I absolutely agree
- 13:54Speaker 8: with you. And if we don't have that understanding, and
- 13:56Speaker 8: if we're always taking things personally, we'll always be responding
- 13:59Speaker 8: to any and everything to where it'll take so much
- 14:02Speaker 8: energy it'll shift our focus off of what we really
- 14:05Speaker 8: should be focused on. And so I have had to
- 14:07Speaker 8: learn that the picture.
- 14:09Speaker 1: Is bigger than me.
- 14:10Speaker 8: It's so far beyond one moment, like be a student
- 14:13Speaker 8: at every opportunity you get. But even in the book
- 14:17Speaker 8: I talk about, it's a chapter called making the most
- 14:19Speaker 8: of Every Opportunity.
- 14:21Speaker 7: If you were to hear this full interview with Kira
- 14:23Speaker 7: shared Kelly, visit money Making Conversations dot com.
- 14:26Speaker 1: Keep winning.
- 14:30Speaker 6: Now let's return to Money Making Conversations Masterclass with Rashaan McDonald.
- 14:35Speaker 3: You know I'm talking to Jermaine. She is a product
- 14:39Speaker 3: called I know, a product of Facial Treatment of treatment brand.
- 14:43Speaker 3: And you know, Jermaine, you got me so fired up
- 14:45Speaker 3: by this anti agent. I'm about to turn around and
- 14:47Speaker 3: go said loud, you're blacking you're proud and I don't
- 14:49Speaker 3: want to like shift while you came to the show.
- 14:52Speaker 1: One of the show was.
- 14:53Speaker 3: To introduce your product to my listening brasis because of
- 14:56Speaker 3: the fact that we're so caught up in what is
- 14:59Speaker 3: being offer to us, and it's usually you know, to
- 15:03Speaker 3: the younger generation, and they kind of push us to
- 15:06Speaker 3: the back because they don't think of anybody over fifty
- 15:09Speaker 3: five has buying power as buying powered. All right, and
- 15:12Speaker 3: we but then you turn around and you see the
- 15:14Speaker 3: number of billions of dollars that we're spending. But then
- 15:18Speaker 3: so we're not getting respect, we're not showcased about what
- 15:23Speaker 3: we should consistently be valued as shoppers and consumers. And
- 15:27Speaker 3: so you came up with this product. I know that
- 15:29Speaker 3: it's geared towards my age group audience, male and females.
- 15:33Speaker 4: Correct, yes, primarily females. But as what has happened is
- 15:39Speaker 4: men can use it absolutely. But when you have limited
- 15:43Speaker 4: marketing dollar, you can't speak to everyone.
- 15:46Speaker 3: Say that again, stuff right there, A lot of people
- 15:49Speaker 3: need to hear that. Okay, if you can't sell everything
- 15:54Speaker 3: to everybody, even though you got a lot of ideas,
- 15:56Speaker 3: a lot of small businesses make that mistake, pick your poison,
- 16:01Speaker 3: pick your product.
- 16:02Speaker 4: Yes, absolutely, And for me because my mom is black,
- 16:09Speaker 4: my mom was black, I'm a black woman and that's
- 16:13Speaker 4: surround me. But anybody can use it. A third of
- 16:16Speaker 4: my customers are Caucasian women, and I've had to have
- 16:20Speaker 4: conversations with them. I'm not anti anyone, it's because that
- 16:25Speaker 4: means again to go against I am pro black women.
- 16:30Speaker 4: And the reasoning is that no one has ever really
- 16:33Speaker 4: been intentional about serving us and been in the beauty
- 16:38Speaker 4: space forever. If you look at commercials, they will splatter
- 16:42Speaker 4: a black woman in but it's very obvious who their
- 16:46Speaker 4: target market is. And I'm okay with that because my
- 16:51Speaker 4: Caucasian sisters, they spend a lot of money on skincare.
- 16:54Speaker 4: Our numbers are about five hundred millions. That's in some
- 16:58Speaker 4: people's mind that's a lot, but it's really not. Uh
- 17:01Speaker 4: and so, but black women now are starting more to
- 17:05Speaker 4: take care of themselves. They see the importance of not
- 17:08Speaker 4: being selfish but putting themselves first, and so I wanted
- 17:13Speaker 4: to be very intentional about who I was talking to.
- 17:19Speaker 4: My clinical study was done on black women everything and
- 17:24Speaker 4: people A lot of people don't know this. Our our
- 17:27Speaker 4: Caucasian sisters. They wrinkle, but we sag so a lot
- 17:31Speaker 4: of the ingredients that have been put into the product.
- 17:34Speaker 4: It's all about plumping us up, making sure that our
- 17:38Speaker 4: skin is vibrant, to have that glow and to love
- 17:42Speaker 4: with things.
- 17:43Speaker 3: I want to make sure you said we we sag?
- 17:47Speaker 3: What what do you mean we say sad?
- 17:49Speaker 4: The skin starts drooping down, you know, and and often
- 17:55Speaker 4: so now. And we should start this very early. My
- 17:58Speaker 4: mother tried to tell me this when I was in
- 18:00Speaker 4: my twenties. Never pull your skin down when you're putting
- 18:03Speaker 4: on lotion or moisturizer on your face. You always should
- 18:08Speaker 4: stroke up. Everything should go up because gravity, gravity is
- 18:12Speaker 4: taking place. And but it's okay. All of those things,
- 18:16Speaker 4: the wrinkles, the cell you like, all those things. I
- 18:19Speaker 4: work hard at trying to keep them at bay. But
- 18:22Speaker 4: you know, it depends on what you eat, how you exercise.
- 18:25Speaker 4: You got to do more things as we get older,
- 18:28Speaker 4: and it makes us feel better. Keep clarity, you know.
- 18:31Speaker 4: I you know, Rashan, most of the things that I've
- 18:34Speaker 4: accomplished in my life, I've done them over fifty and
- 18:39Speaker 4: so and I had to look at that. And so
- 18:42Speaker 4: the latter days are my greater days, you know, and
- 18:46Speaker 4: right now my goal is in creating this brand to
- 18:50Speaker 4: one day if my children want to sell it, that
- 18:53Speaker 4: I create generational wealth and that you know, and that
- 18:58Speaker 4: they remember my name, grandkids, grandkids, that they remember how
- 19:02Speaker 4: this all started.
- 19:04Speaker 1: Cool. I want to I know the running out of
- 19:06Speaker 1: the time on your interview, but I wanted to. It
- 19:07Speaker 1: was a couple of things. I want to make sure
- 19:09Speaker 1: the audience.
- 19:09Speaker 3: First of all, that was very motivational and very encouraging,
- 19:12Speaker 3: because you know, you have to know who you're talking to.
- 19:16Speaker 3: I remember a long time ago. You know, sometimes people say,
- 19:20Speaker 3: you know, you shouldn't narrow your audience, you know, and
- 19:23Speaker 3: you know, Steve Harwy's made a lot of money, you know,
- 19:27Speaker 3: being a guy who with black people. Black people, yeah,
- 19:31Speaker 3: because the family few, but his base was black. Okay,
- 19:35Speaker 3: Stephen A. Smith on first take. Half his audience on
- 19:39Speaker 3: first take is black, because you got to have a base.
- 19:43Speaker 4: You know.
- 19:44Speaker 3: Or the President Obama, he won the election because of
- 19:48Speaker 3: a black base. You know, he fouled an audience, supported
- 19:53Speaker 3: that audience, and an audience elected him to two terms
- 19:56Speaker 3: as president. And so what you're saying is, okay, identify
- 20:00Speaker 3: your customer. It's all right if they're blacks, it's okay.
- 20:05Speaker 3: You're not saying, hey, you can't buy my product, but
- 20:08Speaker 3: you better, you know how that much money focus on
- 20:11Speaker 3: who will buy your product and make sure they become
- 20:14Speaker 3: aware of the product. I remember, I remember, like I said,
- 20:17Speaker 3: you do comedy concerts, and you know I did Death
- 20:20Speaker 3: Comedy Jam and Deaf Johny Comedy Dam came out there,
- 20:22Speaker 3: and you know, you know, boom, black black comedy shows
- 20:26Speaker 3: were the rage. You know, it was an audience out
- 20:30Speaker 3: there that knew nothing about boy they could be entertained.
- 20:33Speaker 3: But suddenly three thousand seats, ten thousand seed, fifty thousand
- 20:36Speaker 3: seats were being sold by the Kings of Comedy, which
- 20:38Speaker 3: started Bernie mag And Dale Huglan cedric entertainer Steve Harvey.
- 20:43Speaker 1: So there's an.
- 20:43Speaker 3: Audience out there and you have to go find it,
- 20:47Speaker 3: you have to market to it. And that's what she's
- 20:48Speaker 3: saying with I know, she's identified her audience and you
- 20:54Speaker 3: cannot say, oh, I don't know, I don't want nobody
- 20:57Speaker 3: talk bad about me. Okay, okay, now, okay, there is
- 21:02Speaker 3: rock and roll, and there's R and B, and there's jazz. Yeah,
- 21:05Speaker 3: their market out there for everybody, even in music. You
- 21:08Speaker 3: can continue right quick.
- 21:10Speaker 4: You know, we have to understand. I have a tagline.
- 21:13Speaker 4: I do a trade show and it's for black women
- 21:17Speaker 4: in DC, one of the largest beauty trade shows, Beauty,
- 21:20Speaker 4: Wellness and Health in DC. And I developed the tagline
- 21:25Speaker 4: the power of us if we only knew and really
- 21:30Speaker 4: develop that and build it and stop thinking to be
- 21:34Speaker 4: the only one and just understand our power, our buying power.
- 21:41Speaker 4: Look what Rosa Park did when they would not let
- 21:45Speaker 4: her get that is such a great case study and
- 21:48Speaker 4: for us to never forget that when they start walking,
- 21:52Speaker 4: we gave each other rides. It's economics. It's all about
- 21:57Speaker 4: the dollar. And I really it's all about recreating black
- 22:02Speaker 4: wall streets. And it's not anti anyone, you know. I
- 22:07Speaker 4: think about the Jewish when they wouldn't What are their
- 22:12Speaker 4: schools in their hospitals? What did they do? They built
- 22:14Speaker 4: their own right, And so we have to take a
- 22:18Speaker 4: look at that and mimic some of those success behavior.
- 22:23Speaker 4: And so for me, this is not just about me,
- 22:28Speaker 4: well it is.
- 22:29Speaker 3: It has to start with you. And it started being
- 22:31Speaker 3: inspired by your late mother on the reil. Yes, you know,
- 22:35Speaker 3: I can't take away your credit. I can't take away
- 22:37Speaker 3: your credit because you know, you know some you know
- 22:40Speaker 3: Martin Luther King.
- 22:43Speaker 1: Led us.
- 22:44Speaker 3: Sure there's a lot of people follow us, and sure
- 22:46Speaker 3: there's a lot of people in it, but you are
- 22:48Speaker 3: a leader, Jermaine, and I can't take that away from you.
- 22:51Speaker 3: And this I know brand. You know, it's really one
- 22:55Speaker 3: of the more interesting conversations I've had because we're talking
- 22:57Speaker 3: about a skincare product that it really is more than
- 23:02Speaker 3: just about skin. It's about it's about age, it's about discrimination,
- 23:07Speaker 3: it's about uh, it's about racial quality, it's about racial love,
- 23:12Speaker 3: it's about being that identifying your market.
- 23:14Speaker 4: And with Shan talk about it more because look at
- 23:16Speaker 4: Lin Winsfield Angel the set. These women are Viola Davis
- 23:21Speaker 4: as well. She's not no, she's from fifty. They're showing
- 23:25Speaker 4: how it's done. Look at their arms, but you can
- 23:31Speaker 4: I yeah, they're they're built, they're keeping them Discovery amazing. Yeah,
- 23:35Speaker 4: But I know skincare dot Com and an understanding hashtag
- 23:40Speaker 4: real age. Be proud of where you are and if
- 23:45Speaker 4: you don't like it, then do something about it. What
- 23:48Speaker 4: you're seeing that and do something about it, and you
- 23:50Speaker 4: can get that glow with I know skincare well.
- 23:53Speaker 3: Her name is Jermaine Bold's left forge and she is Bold.
