- 0:03Speaker 1: Y'all know what time of y'all don't know. Y'all back
- 0:09Speaker 1: a suit on the back down, giving them more like
- 0:15Speaker 1: the Miking buck things in the cubs. Y'all good it,
- 0:21Speaker 1: Steve ha listen to the movie together for study. I
- 0:38Speaker 1: don't join by join me in being men. You gotta
- 1:01Speaker 1: turn you gotta turn the turnow. You got to turn
- 1:44Speaker 1: them out, Then turn the water the water. Come come
- 1:58Speaker 1: on your back that, uh huh, I sure will. Good morning, everybody.
- 2:06Speaker 1: You're listening to the voice, Come on dig me now,
- 2:08Speaker 1: one and only Steve Harvey oh Man got a radio show.
- 2:13Speaker 1: Man got a radio show, and a whole lot more
- 2:15Speaker 1: to man. God is good to me. I have no
- 2:18Speaker 1: other explanation, if I have no other explanation of my
- 2:22Speaker 1: existence and where I stand in this thing called life,
- 2:26Speaker 1: except if it was not for the goodness of God Almighty.
- 2:30Speaker 1: If it was not for His grace and his mercy,
- 2:33Speaker 1: There's no way I could exist the way that I do.
- 2:37Speaker 1: I would not be who I am or where I am.
- 2:40Speaker 1: I am who I am and where I am simply
- 2:44Speaker 1: because God is who he is. If it was not
- 2:49Speaker 1: for God, I would have no testimony for you, because
- 2:53Speaker 1: I would have failed every single test, plain, pure and simple.
- 2:59Speaker 1: I can sit here today until you flat out that
- 3:04Speaker 1: it is purely because of God's grace and mercy that
- 3:09Speaker 1: I exist today because of His favor. See now, He
- 3:13Speaker 1: shows us favor in life because of a combination of
- 3:17Speaker 1: things I've discovered. And this is not the whole answer
- 3:21Speaker 1: to life. I can assure you as not. But this
- 3:24Speaker 1: is a combination that I've grown to understand better and better,
- 3:28Speaker 1: and I wish I had gotten it earlier in my life.
- 3:32Speaker 1: But here it is. If you take faith and you
- 3:39Speaker 1: combine it with an incredible work ethic, then God has
- 3:49Speaker 1: the greatest opportunities to show you favor one more time.
- 3:56Speaker 1: If you take faith. I said faith because in the
- 4:01Speaker 1: scripture it says you can have the faith of a mustancy,
- 4:05Speaker 1: the smallest of all sees. If you take faith and
- 4:08Speaker 1: you combine it with an incredible work ethic, it allows
- 4:14Speaker 1: the most opportunities for God to show you favor. That's
- 4:20Speaker 1: the best way I can explain success to you from
- 4:23Speaker 1: my standpoint. It is the combination of faith and work
- 4:29Speaker 1: that produces the most opportunities for God to show you favor.
- 4:34Speaker 1: See a lot of times we want God to bless us,
- 4:37Speaker 1: but we ain't doing nothing for him to bless So
- 4:40Speaker 1: now we sideways in the equation a little bit. But see,
- 4:44Speaker 1: if you had the faith in God that God can
- 4:48Speaker 1: do anything but fail, that God will get you through,
- 4:52Speaker 1: that God will see you through, that that God is
- 4:55Speaker 1: the God you serve as the greatest give of all
- 4:57Speaker 1: good things. If you kept that faith intact through it all,
- 5:02Speaker 1: and you produced an incredible work ethic that allows the
- 5:08Speaker 1: most opportunities for God to show you favor. See, without
- 5:14Speaker 1: that what you want God to do? See, you can
- 5:16Speaker 1: have faith and be sitting at the house watching TV.
- 5:21Speaker 1: There's nothing being produced, no opportunities for God to show
- 5:26Speaker 1: you favor. And you got to do some things man,
- 5:31Speaker 1: that you are uncomfortable doing, or don't feel like doing,
- 5:35Speaker 1: or something that don't have the right payoff right in
- 5:38Speaker 1: front of your face, with the faith that it will
- 5:41Speaker 1: payoff later on. See, too many people are working for
- 5:44Speaker 1: the right now reward, and the right now reward is
- 5:48Speaker 1: not how it works. Sometimes the reward is coming later
- 5:51Speaker 1: on up the road. But the only way you can
- 5:54Speaker 1: know that is if you got to You got to
- 5:57Speaker 1: apply the faith. And see the reason you don't know
- 6:00Speaker 1: that that it's coming like that, or you have to
- 6:03Speaker 1: have faith to believe that it's coming. Because faith is
- 6:07Speaker 1: the belief in things that you cannot see. That's what
- 6:12Speaker 1: faith is. Look, man, it's easy to believe in something
- 6:16Speaker 1: you can see. That's it. Ain't ain't nothing. What what
- 6:20Speaker 1: that take? You know? You're standing that Let me give
- 6:24Speaker 1: you them. You're standing at the crosswalk with with a
- 6:26Speaker 1: walk sign on it and the sign flashing on the corner.
- 6:30Speaker 1: Don't walk then that the signs say walk? What do
- 6:36Speaker 1: you think your chances are making it across that street?
- 6:39Speaker 1: Is well pretty good because guess what the signs say walk.
- 6:43Speaker 1: You can see the other side. There's other people in
- 6:46Speaker 1: the crosswalk walking, So guess what you strike out blindly?
- 6:50Speaker 1: It don't take a lot of faith to get across
- 6:53Speaker 1: that street. That's that's That's not why I'm talking to
- 6:57Speaker 1: you about. I'm talking about the faith, the belief in
- 7:00Speaker 1: things that you cannot see, the faith that what I'm
- 7:04Speaker 1: doing today, I believe in my heart of heart that
- 7:09Speaker 1: God wouldn't bring me this far to leave me. That
- 7:12Speaker 1: God is a true and living God, that he keeps
- 7:14Speaker 1: his promises, that later on there's things that I'm working
- 7:17Speaker 1: towards right now, gonna pay off later on. See, too
- 7:20Speaker 1: many people want to reward right now. They want to
- 7:23Speaker 1: go to work Friday. Get to check Saturday. You know,
- 7:26Speaker 1: we want to work Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday. Get to
- 7:29Speaker 1: check Friday. If somebody come to you and say, hey, man,
- 7:33Speaker 1: if you do this Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, then
- 7:37Speaker 1: you do this Saturday, and come back and do this Monday, Thuday,
- 7:40Speaker 1: Friday in the long running to pay off. And you say, man,
- 7:43Speaker 1: I ain't gonna do all that. See, that's not the
- 7:46Speaker 1: exhibition of faith. If it's the right thing to do,
- 7:51Speaker 1: if it's if it's a good thing to do, if
- 7:54Speaker 1: it's a just thing to do. See, if it's sin
- 7:57Speaker 1: in it, it ain't God. Ain't Just clear it on
- 8:00Speaker 1: up right there. You can stop all the wandering. If
- 8:03Speaker 1: that's his voice talking to you, if it's the right
- 8:05Speaker 1: thing to do, if it's sin in it, it's not
- 8:09Speaker 1: God talking to you, kill it you you you can
- 8:14Speaker 1: shut it down. You ain't got to wonder about it.
- 8:16Speaker 1: Go down there in secret revenge. That ain't God. Go
- 8:18Speaker 1: tell him off when you see him. That ain't God.
- 8:21Speaker 1: Anything that's God's sin in it is not God's voice
- 8:24Speaker 1: telling you to do it, so you can you can
- 8:26Speaker 1: kill that conversation to date, that's how you know. But
- 8:29Speaker 1: if you align yourself up, man, and you and what
- 8:32Speaker 1: you're doing is just and right and correct and pleasing
- 8:36Speaker 1: in the sight of God, it'll pay off for you
- 8:39Speaker 1: later on. And see here's here's here's the best way
- 8:44Speaker 1: I can tell to it. Here's another one. When you're
- 8:47Speaker 1: going somewhere, when you're when you're on the road to
- 8:51Speaker 1: going somewhere, and you know the somewhere that you're trying
- 8:54Speaker 1: to get to. Let's say you've set a goal or
- 8:57Speaker 1: vision for yourself, you know where you want to get to.
- 8:59Speaker 1: You got a good idea, and you own your way
- 9:03Speaker 1: to going there. Listen to me when it gets hard,
- 9:07Speaker 1: and it is going to get hard, when it gets difficult,
- 9:10Speaker 1: and it is going to get difficult, when it becomes challenging,
- 9:14Speaker 1: and it is going to become challenging when it becomes
- 9:18Speaker 1: all three of those things. When it don't look like
- 9:21Speaker 1: it's gonna happen, listen to me. Don't stop and complain
- 9:26Speaker 1: so much. But see, I know he didn't bless me.
- 9:30Speaker 1: But in the middle of it, man, I felt a
- 9:32Speaker 1: little heavy. And you got to be careful when it
- 9:35Speaker 1: gets hard for you, because you'll find yourself complaining. And
- 9:38Speaker 1: when you're complaining, See, what you can't do is you
- 9:41Speaker 1: can't complain so much that you forget that the place
- 9:47Speaker 1: that you're trying to go to, you actually own your
- 9:50Speaker 1: way there still. See, don't get caught up into complaining
- 9:55Speaker 1: and then lose sight of your blessing that's actually happening.
- 9:57Speaker 1: It to you? What really, man, of all the times
- 10:02Speaker 1: to register a complaint to God, to sit up and go, hey, man,
- 10:05Speaker 1: I didn't want wanted to ease back into this thing.
- 10:09Speaker 1: Ease back in, man, you in It's it's a tornado
- 10:12Speaker 1: world around you. You You ain't got time to ease back in.
- 10:15Speaker 1: You got it going, and jump back in it. It
- 10:17Speaker 1: is what it is. To whom much is given, much
- 10:20Speaker 1: is required. Always appreciate the blessings. Don't get so caught
- 10:23Speaker 1: up into complaints that you lose sight of the blessings. Man,
- 10:26Speaker 1: God got a lot for you in your life, man,
- 10:29Speaker 1: but you gotta have them. Two things, y'all. You gotta
- 10:31Speaker 1: take that faith and you got to apply a crazy
- 10:35Speaker 1: work ethic to it. And that creates the most opportunities
- 10:40Speaker 1: for God to show your favor. And when God starts
- 10:42Speaker 1: showing your favor, Man, all of them seeds you planted,
- 10:46Speaker 1: all of that, all of that wheat you've been sewing,
- 10:49Speaker 1: all of that hard work you've been put in. God
- 10:51Speaker 1: will pay it off, and he'll pay it off in
- 10:53Speaker 1: ways that you don't even see coming. Okay, cool, you're
- 10:57Speaker 1: listening to morning ladies, gentlemen, boys, girls, monkeys, zookeepers, chitling cleaners,
- 11:11Speaker 1: boby cuers, post nasal drip folks, yard workers, people with him, rods,
- 11:21Speaker 1: chimney sweepers, street cleaners, street cleaners, people who baptize people,
- 11:28Speaker 1: people the deacon, bold catch the people who are people
- 11:32Speaker 1: who catch people who are falling out from being touched

- 12:09Speaker 1: I did what I sure did? It's legal in La,
- 12:15Speaker 1: in LA too long now it's legal. People don't understand
- 12:20Speaker 1: how they have to treat us because we live in la,
- 12:22Speaker 1: We're not afraid out here. Okay, it's okay. You can
- 12:26Speaker 1: say puff pass, you can puff puff and pass. That's
- 12:29Speaker 1: the name you can pass on the pass. That's the
- 12:32Speaker 1: name of Snooper Core, isn't it his new tour? Snoop
- 12:38Speaker 1: don't care when Snoopers accepted? How? Why is that doing
- 12:43Speaker 1: it before? He's been doing that. Everybody knows that about him.
- 12:47Speaker 1: First you see the cloud, then you see Snoop And
- 12:51Speaker 1: I'm here to tell you as I don't know what
- 12:54Speaker 1: it is. He's got rolled up, but it makes you
- 12:57Speaker 1: go somewhere and shit the hell down. You know, Well,
- 13:02Speaker 1: he was on the junior. You can tell the story.
- 13:05Speaker 1: You can tell the story. Jay found out that Snoop
- 13:07Speaker 1: was up here, and he said he had to go
- 13:09Speaker 1: smoke with him, and in the green room and the
- 13:13Speaker 1: whole hallway you can you knew Snoop was here, the
- 13:16Speaker 1: whole hallway for real. Yeah. So Jay goes in there
- 13:21Speaker 1: and he stands next to Snoop while Snoop is smoking,
- 13:24Speaker 1: and Jay says, let me Hit that Snoop said this
- 13:31Speaker 1: old and he gave it to him. Jay Hit took
- 13:36Speaker 1: two puffs too, And next time I see Jay, he's
- 13:41Speaker 1: sitting on the steps in the hallway, Man Jay said, Man,
- 13:50Speaker 1: I got to go home, Man Jay, Jon is it high?
- 14:04Speaker 1: That stuff he smokes should be called lists? What you

- 14:11Speaker 1: Snoop and Willing Melson hang out. But they've done that. Yeah,
- 14:14Speaker 1: I think they've done that. Wow. Wow, that funny. It's
- 14:19Speaker 1: funny to what. Yeah, Well today it's pleasure Jay, Thank

- 14:52Speaker 1: be a little tent you know. So we just want
- 14:54Speaker 1: you guys to prepare with some phrases that you should
- 14:58Speaker 1: avoid at holiday dinners. We can just you know, all
- 15:01Speaker 1: have a good time with our family and friends. Okay,
- 15:04Speaker 1: like for instance, yeah, okay, for instance, Steve Um, when
- 15:08Speaker 1: you start a sentence with you should have you should have?
- 15:13Speaker 1: You know? The words should you know can make a
- 15:16Speaker 1: person feel judged or disappointed. You see where I'm going
- 15:20Speaker 1: with that? To be like you should have left somebody
- 15:23Speaker 1: else fix Yeah, yeah, that's hurtful. Yeah yeah, you should
- 15:30Speaker 1: have you should have left the marshmallows acting yam, that's
- 15:32Speaker 1: like that. I'm with you. I'm with you on that.
- 15:35Speaker 1: Feelings are not hurt. Should call when you came over?
- 15:40Speaker 1: Or how about this? I know it's pot luck, but
- 15:42Speaker 1: you should have just came the ain't no luck in
- 15:50Speaker 1: your Yeah, stuff like that, Steve, you got it? Or
- 15:57Speaker 1: you know boys saying that, Yeah, a void saying this,
- 16:00Speaker 1: you know, because this is definitely this could start one
- 16:03Speaker 1: right here. Um, can you believe what your president just did?
- 16:09Speaker 1: You can't start Yeah, yeah, it can lead to an
- 16:12Speaker 1: argument and a fight, you know. Politics, everybody in agreement
- 16:15Speaker 1: on my family? My family? All good with that. That's
- 16:18Speaker 1: gonna get the party popping right there. Oh okay, all right,
- 16:21Speaker 1: so you're not gonna avoid saying that. Oh no, no, no,
- 16:23Speaker 1: you can talk politics at my house. Everybody at my
- 16:26Speaker 1: house in the same political mindset. You don't have you
- 16:34Speaker 1: if you are Republican at the table, you need to
- 16:37Speaker 1: keep it to you. If you won't be okay, let's
- 16:42Speaker 1: get back to the house. Oh uh huh, let's get
- 16:46Speaker 1: back to the food for a minute. How about this one?
- 16:49Speaker 1: You know, the best turkey I ever had was not
- 16:59Speaker 1: Sully say it again. The best turkey I ever had
- 17:02Speaker 1: was was my mom. You can't say that. Yeah, yeah, me,
- 17:10Speaker 1: that'll set it off, Steve. If you say something, you
- 17:15Speaker 1: don't have to always tell the truth though, No, no, no, no,
- 17:19Speaker 1: see she wants again, Well, y'all need to make up,
- 17:23Speaker 1: y'all man, and they give you all want us to
- 17:25Speaker 1: be trumb or you won't these last we good lying
- 17:29Speaker 1: on Thanksgiving? Tell the truth. It's a good time to
- 17:32Speaker 1: ask that question. Any Yeah, you know, like uh, if
- 17:37Speaker 1: you start a sentence with when are you going to
- 17:41Speaker 1: learn how to cook? Don't do that. When you're gonna
- 17:48Speaker 1: finally let him go? Okay, that's the one time because
- 17:54Speaker 1: you don't want to make anyone feel defensive or put
- 17:56Speaker 1: anyone on the spot or anything like that. When you
- 17:59Speaker 1: going to stop you drew wow question? Yeah, what's gonna
- 18:09Speaker 1: come out? I don't know why we see the back
- 18:11Speaker 1: like it ain't. I don't know what's wrong with you.
- 18:13Speaker 1: I want to go to your house, but just come out.
- 18:17Speaker 1: Fifteen minutes. You ain't gonna be able to take if
- 18:19Speaker 1: you're lying it fifteen if it starts off with that. Yeah,
- 18:24Speaker 1: I believe you. Was he walking the dough? When is
- 18:27Speaker 1: you gonna stop using you show up? Ever? You're looking
- 18:31Speaker 1: like this? How about this right? No? How about this right?
- 18:37Speaker 1: Here says some way where I could see where you going?
- 18:42Speaker 1: Where are you going? Ye, it's bathroom? Ain't that way?
- 18:46Speaker 1: Ain't no bathroom that way? And you know, trying not
- 18:51Speaker 1: to to open up a conversation or start a sentence
- 18:54Speaker 1: with when are you going to? Don't do that one?
- 18:59Speaker 1: Or remember the time you pee on yourself. My uncle
- 19:08Speaker 1: Everett thanks Giving used to go he was drunk and
- 19:16Speaker 1: yellow bowl. Ain't nobody won't did bust out laughing, everybody laughing.
- 19:24Speaker 1: But wait a minute, Wait a minute, hold up, did
- 19:28Speaker 1: you hear about don't start it with that one, because
- 19:31Speaker 1: that could mean, yeah, you're gossiping about you know somebody?
- 19:37Speaker 1: What what did you hear about your husband? Oh, that's
- 19:41Speaker 1: gonna get it started right there in the back room
- 19:43Speaker 1: with coral cora, not cora coral. Yeah, those are just
- 19:50Speaker 1: conversation starters. You don't do that. Yeah, all that's gonna
- 19:54Speaker 1: happen Thanksgiving, thirsty, trust me, it's gonna happen. Well, I'll
- 19:58Speaker 1: admit this. None of that happened at my house because
- 20:01Speaker 1: I have no one at my house on Thanksgiving. As
- 20:05Speaker 1: big as you create, nobody create no drama. Not at
- 20:08Speaker 1: my house. Oh oh okay, I thought you were saying
- 20:11Speaker 1: you had no one at your house. I was like,
- 20:13Speaker 1: as big as your family is, Oh, the house gonna
- 20:15Speaker 1: be packed. Yeah. I don't do drama. Yeah, not at
- 20:19Speaker 1: the house. Everybody knows. Don't ask me to play. I
- 20:21Speaker 1: don't do that. You know, the game night, I might
- 20:24Speaker 1: come in there for a couple of minutes, but that's it.
- 20:26Speaker 1: Y'all know what I'm doing. I'm gonna eat and I'm
- 20:29Speaker 1: sitting in front of this TV. Oh I'm staring at it.
- 20:32Speaker 1: And sometimes you're gonna come in there and the TV
- 20:34Speaker 1: gonna be staying at me. Just walk back out. Don't
- 20:38Speaker 1: come in here. Just in the heat. I want it.
- 20:40Speaker 1: This won't keep beep five places on. Don't cut it all.
- 20:45Speaker 1: So you don't mind them being in your house. A
- 20:47Speaker 1: lot of people just don't bother you. Let you have
- 20:50Speaker 1: your space. Yeah. Well, Marjorie's really good at that too,
- 20:55Speaker 1: because she tells them to Steve that Steve aught don't
- 20:59Speaker 1: bring your friends and your friends won't pictures. Oh god,
- 21:04Speaker 1: I could get that. Yeah, that ain't happen. Meanwhile, at
- 21:08Speaker 1: our house, all they want to talk about is you. Yes, Steve,
- 21:14Speaker 1: come on? Yeah. I just hate when they want me
- 21:18Speaker 1: to tell Steve something for him. Always tell him, give them.
- 21:22Speaker 1: Can you just give this to Steve for me? I
- 21:26Speaker 1: know this a best seller right now, we just get
- 21:28Speaker 1: it to Steve. Didn't. I'm not going to get your
- 21:30Speaker 1: book the one kill Me? Okay, I got this book,
- 21:34Speaker 1: a man. I want you to read. I didn't read

- 22:33Speaker 1: we um we're putting together a pot luck Christmas party
- 22:38Speaker 1: and we wanted to invite you out. Oh okay, is
- 22:41Speaker 1: this some kind of surprise or something? Well, you know what,
- 22:46Speaker 1: I'm My job is to call around since it's a
- 22:48Speaker 1: pot luck and make sure we get everybody to bring something.
- 22:51Speaker 1: And what I wanted to do is I told her
- 22:53Speaker 1: she should invite her sister. I'm sure your sister. I
- 22:56Speaker 1: was just saying you probably hadn't been able to get
- 22:58Speaker 1: out since the baby and maybe would want to get
- 23:00Speaker 1: out a little bit. Yeah you said that. I've been
- 23:02Speaker 1: trapped in this house with this baby. Oh and he oh,
- 23:05Speaker 1: he is such a greedy baby. But yeah, I'm here
- 23:09Speaker 1: a lot. This is like my second child, and I'm
- 23:11Speaker 1: telling you he was nothing like the first one. But
- 23:14Speaker 1: I haven't been out. When is the party. It's gonna
- 23:17Speaker 1: be next week, next Friday. We're gonna throw it and
- 23:19Speaker 1: we're not trying to do anything too late. Probably around
- 23:22Speaker 1: six o'clock. Everybody's gonna leave work a little early, but
- 23:24Speaker 1: we're gonna all bring a little something to contribute to
- 23:27Speaker 1: the party and whatever type of food or drinks or whatever.
- 23:30Speaker 1: So we just wanted to reach out and give you
- 23:32Speaker 1: an invitation. I just need to see if I can
- 23:35Speaker 1: get a babysitter. I haven't had to use a babysitter yet,
- 23:38Speaker 1: but I'll try. I'll do my best for me. It's
- 23:42Speaker 1: my sister and her friend, so i'd be glad to come.
- 23:44Speaker 1: So you said it's it's pot luck. What are y'all bringing? Well,
- 23:48Speaker 1: some people are bringing finger food, some people are bringing desserts,
- 23:53Speaker 1: nachos and things like that. So I guess a little
- 23:55Speaker 1: bit of everything, and everybody's just in the Christmas spirit.
- 23:58Speaker 1: Were just gonna have a good time. Well, do I
- 24:01Speaker 1: need to cook it myself? Or can't I just order
- 24:03Speaker 1: something having delivered or something like that. You know, I'm
- 24:05Speaker 1: fooling with this, baby. I can't get too much dune
- 24:07Speaker 1: while I'm here, but I'd be glad to contribute. Well, actually,
- 24:11Speaker 1: we're interested in getting some egg nogs. Uh, yeah, I
- 24:15Speaker 1: can probably I could send my husband out to get something,
- 24:17Speaker 1: because you know Vince's fool is especialty shop. They make
- 24:20Speaker 1: some good homemade egg nogs. I could do egg nogs. Well, well,
- 24:24Speaker 1: hang on, we didn't. We didn't want anything from a
- 24:27Speaker 1: specialty shop. We're real particular about having good egg nog.
- 24:31Speaker 1: We've always had good eggnog every year when we throw
- 24:33Speaker 1: the big pot luck Christmas party. We wanted to see
- 24:36Speaker 1: if you didn't mind making some egg nog from scratch.
- 24:39Speaker 1: But you know, if you if you could really really
- 24:42Speaker 1: help us out. You know you using using the breast
- 24:45Speaker 1: milk to do it. Well, they make the best milk
- 24:48Speaker 1: over there. I know they use whole milk. Sometimes they
- 24:51Speaker 1: use that buttercream milk. You know what, I should get
- 24:53Speaker 1: my eye to make it because she got a real
- 24:55Speaker 1: good recipe and I know she used the best milk.
- 24:57Speaker 1: Gay is I can get how to make some? Is that? Okay? Okay?
- 25:00Speaker 1: So your mom has what kind of milk? My ain't?
- 25:04Speaker 1: She makes the best egg nog. And I know she
- 25:07Speaker 1: was like whole milk and butter milk and stuff. That's
- 25:09Speaker 1: why I was thinking. I don't know if Kiva told you.
- 25:11Speaker 1: But no, no, no, no, no, no, no, we want
- 25:14Speaker 1: some breast milk, not the best milk. We want breasts.
- 25:18Speaker 1: Aren't you breastfeeding? You you say breast as in b
- 25:22Speaker 1: R E A S teeth, breast milk, breast milk. Yes, yes,
- 25:26Speaker 1: wait a minute, wait a minute, yeah, I'm breastfeeding. But
- 25:29Speaker 1: breast milk is for babies. Adults. People don't supposed to
- 25:32Speaker 1: drink that. If you if you not know anything, you're
- 25:33Speaker 1: not supposed to breast milk. Breast milk is the best milk. See,
- 25:37Speaker 1: so what we was trying to do is get it.
- 25:39Speaker 1: Get the eggnog made with breast milk, and that's what
- 25:42Speaker 1: we want. Brian, you said your name is Brian. Yeah,
- 25:45Speaker 1: I'm Brian. Okay, Brian, you must be white because because
- 25:48Speaker 1: black folks don't drink breast milk. That's for babies. Okay,
- 25:53Speaker 1: I am not making eggnog with breast milk. Now, Breast
- 25:58Speaker 1: milk is not what you get. That is for my
- 26:00Speaker 1: newborn infants. That sounds nasty, unstad, Why would I do
- 26:04Speaker 1: that to other people? Is that to have somebody to do?
- 26:07Speaker 1: I mean, is that what you can like pump out
- 26:09Speaker 1: two gallons for us? I mean, we're just what we're
- 26:11Speaker 1: about to end this conversation. That is not something I'm
- 26:14Speaker 1: about to do, Okay. I Am not pumping milks for
- 26:18Speaker 1: some Christmas parties. That that is nasty. Okay, somebody gonna
- 26:24Speaker 1: call the health department or y'all bringing up milk up
- 26:27Speaker 1: there to make some ignocks? What does that? We don't
- 26:31Speaker 1: do that. This ain't no feed of village with my milks.
- 26:35Speaker 1: You you know what? Man? Ma'm I mean? I didn't.
- 26:38Speaker 1: I wasn't trying to offend you. I just wanted to
- 26:39Speaker 1: see if if it was something that you would do
- 26:41Speaker 1: for us, you know, if maybe you could you could
- 26:43Speaker 1: squeeze out a couple of gallons and we could all.
- 26:46Speaker 1: I'm past offended. I ain't squeezing out a tablespoon of
- 26:50Speaker 1: breasting up to be donating to some Christmas party? Does that? Okay? Yeah?
- 26:56Speaker 1: You got me up. You need to tell Keith. First
- 26:58Speaker 1: of all, I don't even know why to keep a
- 26:59Speaker 1: game if you my number to invite me to some
- 27:02Speaker 1: because she couldn't have she couldn't have known you're gonna
- 27:03Speaker 1: ask me to make some damn eggnogg with real breastnols.
- 27:07Speaker 1: I didn't, I didn't. I didn't tell Kiev exactly what
- 27:09Speaker 1: I wanted, But I didn't think it was gonna be
- 27:10Speaker 1: this much of a of a problem that you would
- 27:13Speaker 1: have a problem with a couple of gallons, so we
- 27:14Speaker 1: could have a good time with real good milk. Hope, Bryan,
- 27:17Speaker 1: y'all work in corporate America. Surely you are smarter than that.
- 27:22Speaker 1: You're calling somebody asking for some breast milk? Who does that?
- 27:25Speaker 1: What you can do? Or if you want some eggnog,
- 27:27Speaker 1: you could stop at the grocery store and get you
- 27:29Speaker 1: some infamire some Simila ca and mix some eggnog yourself,
- 27:33Speaker 1: if that's what you choose to do. But my breast milk,
- 27:36Speaker 1: you can't even pay for it? Okay, I don't get
- 27:38Speaker 1: down like that. That's some if I ever heard of it.
- 27:40Speaker 1: You too, tells you to be calling around asking people
- 27:43Speaker 1: for milk, So you're gonna be this selfish that you
- 27:47Speaker 1: can't loan us a little bit of breast milk so
- 27:49Speaker 1: we can have a great time with some eggnog at
- 27:51Speaker 1: the party. Selfish loan breast milk? Okay, you know what?
- 27:57Speaker 1: You know what, conser don't worry about. We don't even
- 27:58Speaker 1: want you at the party if you don't gonna bring
- 28:00Speaker 1: breast milk. They don't come to the party. Damn right.
- 28:02Speaker 1: I don't need to come to your funky party. And
- 28:04Speaker 1: you tell Kiva this is some Steven have her friend
- 28:07Speaker 1: called me. I am the party coordinator, and Kiva knows
- 28:10Speaker 1: that that's and I tried to be nice enough to
- 28:12Speaker 1: invite you. I'm offended. I am offended. Okay, would you
- 28:16Speaker 1: ask your wife or your girlfriend or whoever your baby
- 28:18Speaker 1: mama is to do something like that? Would you expect
- 28:21Speaker 1: somebody to ask cock. You're disrespecting me asking me for
- 28:23Speaker 1: something like that. Okay, you know what, Bryan, what is
- 28:27Speaker 1: your last name? Because I'm failing to remember who you
- 28:29Speaker 1: are because I'm sho gonna ask Keith, Well, Brian, Brian,
- 28:32Speaker 1: Brian ain't really my name. I didn't really want to
- 28:34Speaker 1: tell you my real name, so so you playing on
- 28:36Speaker 1: the phone name you probably don't even know my sister. Now,
- 28:39Speaker 1: who is this? I mean? I talk to your sister
- 28:42Speaker 1: about twenty minutes ago. I talked to Keiva. You cain't
- 28:44Speaker 1: talk to my Kiva because this is a I know
- 28:47Speaker 1: that too clearly, Okay, but I want to go and
- 28:49Speaker 1: tell you this Hill. You know what you're gonna get
- 28:51Speaker 1: off my damn phone. That's what you're gonna do. Kiva
- 28:53Speaker 1: told me to call because see, I am nephew Timmy
- 28:56Speaker 1: from the Steve Harvey Martin Show, and your sister Kiva
- 28:59Speaker 1: got me to prank phone call you. You're talking about
- 29:05Speaker 1: the nephew times on the TV and the radio. I
- 29:19Speaker 1: this can't be real, you said, Oh my god, are
- 29:24Speaker 1: you real? Funny? Okay, Exam, I gotta ask you, baby,
- 29:30Speaker 1: what's the baddest it? I mean, the baddest radio show
- 29:33Speaker 1: in the land, The Steve Harvey Morning Show. You're listening
- 29:38Speaker 1: to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right. We promised
- 29:41Speaker 1: to talk about holiday traditions, especially Christmas traditions, and while
- 29:45Speaker 1: time honored holiday traditions are important, they've also evolved over
- 29:50Speaker 1: the generations. Now this is according to a survey, family
- 29:53Speaker 1: activities and writing to Santa are still among the most
- 29:57Speaker 1: popular holiday traditions. That is interesting, even though because I've
- 30:01Speaker 1: never written to Santa. Even though we live in a
- 30:04Speaker 1: tech savvy world, three out of four parents say their
- 30:07Speaker 1: children still handwrite letters to Santa as opposed to a
- 30:12Speaker 1: more modern approach like email. And really, and what's the
- 30:17Speaker 1: most popular family activity in twenty seventeen. This year, well,
- 30:21Speaker 1: according to most households, it's decorating the Christmas tree as
- 30:25Speaker 1: a family. Now that I like, I can can relate
- 30:28Speaker 1: to that. We do that. Yeah. Uh so let's so, Steve,
- 30:32Speaker 1: we got to start with you here. What are what
- 30:35Speaker 1: are the family traditions that your family keeps that you
- 30:38Speaker 1: definitely First of all, let me get this straight. Boodle
- 30:44Speaker 1: your grandson Ale, Noah and Rome. I'm not telling you
- 30:55Speaker 1: that Santa Claus's coming down the chimney. Okay, hey, Mom
- 30:58Speaker 1: and Daddy Mike, but they come on Papa's house. Papa
- 31:04Speaker 1: bought all this. Okay, let's be straight about that tree
- 31:10Speaker 1: out here, y'all. Papa paid for all the tree, okay,
- 31:14Speaker 1: all the little fingers snow, I bought all that in Hire,
- 31:18Speaker 1: I had that tree in the in the in the
- 31:20Speaker 1: in the foyer that Papa bought that. So that's a
- 31:23Speaker 1: new tradition really, because you weren't you brought up with
- 31:28Speaker 1: thinking Santa Claus did it for a while when you
- 31:30Speaker 1: were little? Yeah? Yeah, so you're usually as young as
- 31:33Speaker 1: your grandchildren. Yeah, well little you know, my kids take
- 31:38Speaker 1: their keys to see Senate Claus. Yeah, they thinking it's
- 31:42Speaker 1: a Seneca. I'm just telling don't bring them over here.
- 31:46Speaker 1: You got so real with it right now. Well, no,
- 31:48Speaker 1: a Papa house. All is paid for by the big
- 31:50Speaker 1: ball half hard as you work, you want some credit.
- 31:53Speaker 1: The white man didn't bought nothing up in him, the
- 31:56Speaker 1: ball head black man that's in that office down there
- 31:59Speaker 1: at before the half. You going that dash Santa Claus
- 32:02Speaker 1: down there. A matter of fact, don't bring him up
- 32:05Speaker 1: when you come in here, because he had nothing to do.
- 32:08Speaker 1: Everything on this side of the the gate, Santa Claus ain't
- 32:10Speaker 1: had damn thing. Okay. So that's one. That's the one
- 32:14Speaker 1: that's men that you burst wide open. Okay. Secondly, if
- 32:21Speaker 1: you tap up your toy on Christmas, you get your
- 32:24Speaker 1: ass on, Chris, what man? Dash? It's a traditional tradition,
- 32:33Speaker 1: rations man, How long I hadn't lay away and you
- 32:38Speaker 1: just everything broke it? It ain't even flot at it. Yeah,
- 32:43Speaker 1: opened it at five and it's broken. Man. I had
- 32:50Speaker 1: a nephew named Pogo. All Pogo did every toy he got,
- 32:55Speaker 1: he took it apart. Wow. But then you know what
- 32:58Speaker 1: he put it all back to. Yeah that's all he
- 33:01Speaker 1: wanted to. Well, yeah, that's like girls we used to
- 33:04Speaker 1: take our dolls clothes off. He mechanic. Yeah, that's what
- 33:10Speaker 1: you do. He's a mechanic right now. Because see, yeah,
- 33:14Speaker 1: so that was some good. But did he get in
- 33:15Speaker 1: trouble for doing it when he was a kid? Dog?
- 33:18Speaker 1: Because if my daddy saw the tad toe up, but
- 33:22Speaker 1: he would ask after the second year, is that poy
- 33:27Speaker 1: put him back again? Oh? He wasn't too mad, all right?
- 33:34Speaker 1: What else? So? So, no Santa, but whippings if you
- 33:37Speaker 1: broke your toys? What else? Uh? These are some tradition, Steve,
- 33:43Speaker 1: I want to hear some of Junior Stu. I know,
- 33:46Speaker 1: sounds like he got his up. Oh man, absolutely. One
- 33:50Speaker 1: tradition was you're going to bed at seven on Christmas
- 33:54Speaker 1: Eve or Christmas Day, Christmas Eve. Oh I could never
- 33:57Speaker 1: sleep on Christmas Eve. I could never do that because
- 34:01Speaker 1: Santa was coming. But Santa don't show up to nine
- 34:05Speaker 1: in the morning. We gotta go back to be nine.
- 34:10Speaker 1: I think they did nine. We're running, y'all go back
- 34:15Speaker 1: and then go back to be night. He ain't made
- 34:22Speaker 1: it in yet, y'all go back to Yeah, I'm next,
- 34:28Speaker 1: nephews praying phone call right after this, please drink it
- 34:32Speaker 1: all night. All right, more of this crazy ignorant show,
- 34:35Speaker 1: the Steve Harvey Morning Show right after this. You're listening
- 34:39Speaker 1: to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right. A lot
- 34:42Speaker 1: of people are losing sleep because of work, guys. A
- 34:45Speaker 1: new study by account Tips finds that forty four percent
- 34:49Speaker 1: of professionals are losing sleep over work. As for why,
- 34:53Speaker 1: fifty percent say they've been overwhelmed with work, the volume
- 34:56Speaker 1: of work they have, the hours that they have to
- 34:58Speaker 1: put in. Some of the other reasons for work related
- 35:01Speaker 1: sleep loss include strange coworker relationships. Wow. Uh, worried that
- 35:07Speaker 1: they may lose their job. That's a lot of stress. Yeah, beusted.
- 35:15Speaker 1: Oh this is a good one. My boss is a nightmare.
- 35:21Speaker 1: Have you checked all three bucks? That's Chase, strange coworking, Okay,
- 35:27Speaker 1: strange coworker relationships, worried I may lose my job and
- 35:35Speaker 1: my boss is a nightmare. Okay. So I gotta ask you, Steve.
- 35:41Speaker 1: You have a lot of jobs. You have more than
- 35:43Speaker 1: anyone I know. Do your jobs keep you up at night?
- 35:46Speaker 1: Or you know, is it if they do, is it
- 35:48Speaker 1: constant or just a case exhausting? For my jobs, it's
- 35:52Speaker 1: when I run up into stupidity. That's the only thing
- 35:55Speaker 1: I get exhausted for. I don't. I've you know, I've
- 35:59Speaker 1: really found out over the years. I don't really care
- 36:01Speaker 1: for stupid people. I really don't. I can't even I
- 36:06Speaker 1: can't even play it off, Like if you're stupid, I
- 36:09Speaker 1: look at you like you're stupid the whole time you talk.
- 36:13Speaker 1: I don't know what we're supposed to do with that information.
- 36:15Speaker 1: It's just important information that you know about me and
- 36:18Speaker 1: my job. My job. I love my job. Look, I
- 36:21Speaker 1: tell jokes for a living and play music. All of
- 36:25Speaker 1: my jobs that have an element of meat, using my
- 36:28Speaker 1: god given talent. So I love my work. Just the
- 36:32Speaker 1: things that surround my work, Like when you stupid, I
- 36:37Speaker 1: just can't stand that. Man, Is that no Jay? Good? Jay?
- 36:42Speaker 1: Ignort different from ignort stupid when you're doing stuff that
- 36:49Speaker 1: ain't attached to nothing and just has no rhyme or reason,
- 36:53Speaker 1: But you standy doing oh, anyone in particular in minder
- 36:59Speaker 1: It just anyone at the job. I know. I didn't
- 37:05Speaker 1: think he was gonna say you honestly, Um, okay, why
- 37:10Speaker 1: would I say this is uncomfortable right now? Yes? Why
- 37:13Speaker 1: you uncomfortable? You're not stupid. Oh, I know, I know.
- 37:17Speaker 1: You just don't like the way Tommy goes into the
- 37:20Speaker 1: shelf when you call him stupid. But let him go
- 37:24Speaker 1: in there. When you go into the shell, he can't
- 37:25Speaker 1: say no, stupid. He's here working. What are you gonna do?
- 37:30Speaker 1: He's working. I'm right Hello everyone, I'm here. I'm right here. Yeah, yeah, okay,
- 37:36Speaker 1: I'm right here. You stop doing it, stop talking over
- 37:39Speaker 1: and around me. I'm right here. You can't all right?

- 42:22Speaker 1: Strawberry Letter. But up next, I mean, right here, right now,
- 42:25Speaker 1: it's the nephew with the prank phone call. What you
- 42:27Speaker 1: got now? Oh, brand spanking new, I got gospel the church,
- 42:32Speaker 1: Queen Gospel Church. What a new friend? You gotta hit
- 42:38Speaker 1: this on head go. This is Grant all right, Grant H.
- 42:42Speaker 1: Grant Stevens. Right, Yes, hey, hey, Grant, this is brother
- 42:46Speaker 1: Lewis Finley. I'm calling from my side and nine Missionaire
- 42:50Speaker 1: Baptist Church. You you and your wife just joined a
- 42:53Speaker 1: couple of weeks ago, am I right? Absolutely? Yes? Okay,
- 42:57Speaker 1: So now listen, um, I wanted to reach out to you.
- 43:02Speaker 1: I know you guys have started the uh the orientation
- 43:05Speaker 1: and from my understanding you you finished one one class
- 43:09Speaker 1: at the orientation. You got three more to go with that, right, yes, alright, alright, alright,
- 43:14Speaker 1: So first of all, I want to say welcome to
- 43:17Speaker 1: not a side and that and and I hope you
- 43:19Speaker 1: are enjoying yourself. I know that you and your wife
- 43:22Speaker 1: are a mixed couple. You your Caucasian and she's she's black.
- 43:27Speaker 1: Are you Are you liking the church so far? Grant? Absolutely,
- 43:32Speaker 1: we really are enjoying it. We completed our first orientation
- 43:36Speaker 1: and uh yeah, so far we're really enjoying it. Okay, Okay,
- 43:40Speaker 1: I kept you a bad time. I am at work
- 43:43Speaker 1: right now, but it's okay. I've got a couple of
- 43:44Speaker 1: I've got a couple of minutes, okay, Okay, I just
- 43:47Speaker 1: wanted to call you man, I was worried. I know
- 43:50Speaker 1: you because I don't think you noticed. But you are
- 43:52Speaker 1: the first Caucasian to join our church, and I just
- 43:57Speaker 1: want to make sure you kind of knew the land
- 44:00Speaker 1: switch and and just just kind of knowing what the
- 44:03Speaker 1: Black Church is all about. And there's certain sands and
- 44:06Speaker 1: different things I think you should know so that, uh
- 44:09Speaker 1: you know, I just don't want you to say the
- 44:11Speaker 1: wrong thing while you at the church. Does that makes sense? Uh? Okay, okay,
- 44:17Speaker 1: So so what I wanted to do, like I wanted
- 44:19Speaker 1: to give you a little Black Church quiz so you
- 44:23Speaker 1: can kind of maybe if you could let me know
- 44:25Speaker 1: where you are, you know, if you want a lower
- 44:28Speaker 1: level or a high level. It's for being knowledgeable about
- 44:32Speaker 1: the Black Church. Like still is blank in for me?
- 44:35Speaker 1: Grant if and if you don't matter. I just want
- 44:37Speaker 1: to take liberty of time and I let you get
- 44:38Speaker 1: back to work. But first of all, give a blank
- 44:43Speaker 1: to God? What what what would go in that blink
- 44:46Speaker 1: right there? First of all, give a blank to God?
- 44:50Speaker 1: Well all I can think of some has give give
- 44:53Speaker 1: things to God. Uh No, See that's wrong, See that's wrong.
- 44:57Speaker 1: See to see what it is is? First of all,
- 44:59Speaker 1: give a honor to God. All right, remember that. First
- 45:02Speaker 1: of all, give an honor to God. You got that? Okay, yes, yes, okay.
- 45:07Speaker 1: First of all, give an honor to God, who is
- 45:10Speaker 1: the blank of my life. What what? What? What goes
- 45:14Speaker 1: into blak? First of all, I give an honor to God,
- 45:17Speaker 1: who is the blank of my life, the love of
- 45:21Speaker 1: my life. No, No, that's that's that's that's wrong. First
- 45:25Speaker 1: of all, give an honor to God, who is the
- 45:28Speaker 1: head of my life. Do you sure? I'm sorry, okay,
- 45:34Speaker 1: I was just are you sure? Are you sure about that? Oh?
- 45:37Speaker 1: I'm definitely sure about I don't don't don't. What I
- 45:39Speaker 1: don't want you to do is question what what I know.
- 45:42Speaker 1: I'm from the Black Church. I know. No, No, I wasn't.
- 45:45Speaker 1: I wasn't questioning you, sir. I wasn't a question. I'm sorry.
- 45:47Speaker 1: I've just always heard it that way. But okay, So,
- 45:50Speaker 1: so I'm trying to give you the understanding of knowing
- 45:53Speaker 1: what the Black Church is about. You know what I'm saying,
- 45:55Speaker 1: I understand. I just I pre I appreciate it. I'm
- 45:58Speaker 1: just I apologize. Okay. Now, now look I don't know
- 46:03Speaker 1: these answers, obviously, but I've got a meeting. I gotta
- 46:05Speaker 1: get you here in a minute like like this, I'm
- 46:07Speaker 1: curious if everyone in the church gets these phone calls.
- 46:10Speaker 1: Well wait, waiting minute, waiting in the Grant. I know
- 46:11Speaker 1: you have a meeting, but what's more important? You're meeting
- 46:14Speaker 1: or knowing your position at the Black Church? What what's
- 46:18Speaker 1: more important? I really don't have time for this right now.
- 46:21Speaker 1: I can't believe it's actually happening. Like, did you did
- 46:23Speaker 1: your pastor even know that you're calling you right now? Well? No,
- 46:27Speaker 1: I took the livery of myself when I realized you
- 46:29Speaker 1: was Caucasian, that I would call and try to help
- 46:32Speaker 1: you so you would know what to do when you're
- 46:34Speaker 1: in the Black Church when people are saying certain things
- 46:37Speaker 1: you okay, okay, Grant, if you don't man, just do this,
- 46:41Speaker 1: f Grant, Like, do you know what hooping is? Hooping? Like?
- 46:46Speaker 1: Who the hooping? Uh? No, hooping is when the past
- 46:50Speaker 1: that is at the end of his sermon. So listen
- 46:54Speaker 1: to this all good God, I'm like it. Do that
- 47:00Speaker 1: if you if you will, Grant, Oh hello, oh God,
- 47:06Speaker 1: oh mighty, no, no, no, no, you come on you women.
- 47:12Speaker 1: Oh no, he got out of mind. I gotta get grant.
- 47:19Speaker 1: I can't believe I'm doing that. Oh lo yeo, oh god,
- 47:25Speaker 1: oh mighty. Okay, Hey, hey, gret do you think maybe
- 47:31Speaker 1: it's possible that and you can have some sessions topow
- 47:36Speaker 1: you come back to the church and I can prepare
- 47:38Speaker 1: you more. Hey man, let's listen. You have caught me
- 47:42Speaker 1: at a really bad time, and I'm quite honestly just
- 47:44Speaker 1: so frustrated. Like I've never heard of a quiz like this.
- 47:48Speaker 1: I'm really offended, to be honest with you, Like, do
- 47:50Speaker 1: you guys don't want me to go here church anymore?
- 47:53Speaker 1: Like a matter of fact, dude, you should be calling
- 47:56Speaker 1: my wife right now. She's black, but she should already
- 47:59Speaker 1: know nacoast question. You the one. Don't know why I'm
- 48:02Speaker 1: gonna call I should call you. I am at work
- 48:05Speaker 1: right now. I have a meeting to get to in
- 48:07Speaker 1: just a minute. I don't know what you're doing. And
- 48:10Speaker 1: I hold on a second. I have got to close
- 48:12Speaker 1: my office store. This is so embarrassing. I have never
- 48:17Speaker 1: ever received a phone call like this in my life,
- 48:19Speaker 1: and you better be lucky. I mean, I want to
- 48:22Speaker 1: talk to your pastor. I am going to talk to
- 48:24Speaker 1: him next Sunday, no joke. Why didn't mean for you
- 48:27Speaker 1: to get hotstyle like that. I hadn't mean that you.
- 48:29Speaker 1: I didn't mean to upset you and nothing like that.
- 48:31Speaker 1: What can I can I say something else to you?
- 48:34Speaker 1: One last thing and I have to go. Okay, I
- 48:38Speaker 1: just wanted to let you know that this is Nephew
- 48:41Speaker 1: telling me from the Steve Hormit Man the show. No
- 48:44Speaker 1: wife Carolyn got me to prank phone call you shut up?
- 48:51Speaker 1: Shut up. I am so sorry. I am so sorry.
- 49:01Speaker 1: Oh you're good, you are. I'm alright, man, I'm alright
- 49:05Speaker 1: a little embarrassed, but I'm alright. You gotta do it
- 49:08Speaker 1: for me one more time? Oh no, oh yeah, okay, man,
- 49:21Speaker 1: look at do this for me. Tell me what is

- 49:46Speaker 1: You know mine was it? You know that's why you
- 49:49Speaker 1: gotta feeling you haven't feeling the blank. You know, first

- 51:10Speaker 1: all right? Subject, Why is her ex still checking on her?
- 51:13Speaker 1: Here's Stephen Shirley. My girlfriend and I have been together
- 51:16Speaker 1: for about a year. When I met her, she had
- 51:18Speaker 1: just ended a relationship with a wealthy man that was
- 51:21Speaker 1: nineteen years older than her. This man spoiled her with
- 51:26Speaker 1: expensive gifts, and he was her first sexually, so she
- 51:29Speaker 1: was caught up for a long time. He offered to
- 51:32Speaker 1: buy her a condo if she stayed with him, but
- 51:35Speaker 1: she realized that he was trying to buy her love
- 51:37Speaker 1: and she wasn't really into him, so they broke up.
- 51:41Speaker 1: We've been dating since then. The old boyfriend still calls
- 51:44Speaker 1: and texts her, and she tells him whenever she tells
- 51:48Speaker 1: me whenever she hears from him. I'm no fool, so
- 51:51Speaker 1: I've been looking for signs of infidelity, but she's not
- 51:54Speaker 1: given me any reason not to trust her. She's new
- 51:57Speaker 1: to the game, so it's the old rich cat that
- 51:59Speaker 1: I don't trust. Why does he have to check in
- 52:02Speaker 1: on her to see if she's okay. All of the time,
- 52:04Speaker 1: I believe he's waiting for me to slip up so
- 52:06Speaker 1: he can make his move. Recently, she told me that
- 52:10Speaker 1: he asked if I was taking care of her the
- 52:12Speaker 1: way he used to. I got game, and I do
- 52:15Speaker 1: what it takes to keep a smile on my lady's face.
- 52:17Speaker 1: I told my lady that he realizes he lost a
- 52:20Speaker 1: good thing and there's no way that he wants to
- 52:22Speaker 1: be just friends with her. I asked her to stop
- 52:25Speaker 1: talking to him, but she refuses. She said that she
- 52:29Speaker 1: is glad that they are still friends and she likes
- 52:31Speaker 1: it when he checks on her. Maybe I'm crazy, but
- 52:34Speaker 1: this is not sitting well with me. This old boyfriend
- 52:37Speaker 1: is a wolf and sheep's clothing, and she's too naive
- 52:40Speaker 1: to see it. How do I get this man to
- 52:42Speaker 1: leave my girlfriend alone? Please help? All right? I don't
- 52:47Speaker 1: know if that's going to happen, if he's ever going
- 52:49Speaker 1: to leave her alone, because he knows, you know about her,
- 52:52Speaker 1: He had her first, he's older in the game. I
- 52:56Speaker 1: think you're right, though, and everything you say about your
- 52:58Speaker 1: new girlfriend and her old boyfriend, he is too much
- 53:01Speaker 1: in her life, calling her, texting her to see if
- 53:04Speaker 1: she's all right. Yeah, he's waiting for you to slip
- 53:07Speaker 1: up so he can slip back in. Yes he is.
- 53:09Speaker 1: Of course, Papa's out of line, and she is too
- 53:12Speaker 1: for still taking his calls and stuff. She may be
- 53:14Speaker 1: a little naive, but you know he, like he said,
- 53:20Speaker 1: or like you said, he wait, he's checking on her
- 53:22Speaker 1: to see if she's okay all the time. He is
- 53:25Speaker 1: waiting for you to slip up so he can make
- 53:27Speaker 1: your moves. So you better be. Since you say you
- 53:30Speaker 1: know the game, you're not new to the game and
- 53:32Speaker 1: all of that, and you know what it takes to
- 53:33Speaker 1: put a smile on her face. You better continue doing that.
- 53:37Speaker 1: Continue to do that. But I don't know why she's
- 53:39Speaker 1: not stop taking his texts and his calls. Maybe she
- 53:43Speaker 1: likes this conversation. Maybe she does think they're just trying
- 53:46Speaker 1: to be friends. Because he does want her back, He
- 53:49Speaker 1: definitely does. He wants her back. He knows he can
- 53:52Speaker 1: get her if he just hangs in there, hangs in
- 53:55Speaker 1: there and does what he's been doing. Steve, you know why,
- 53:58Speaker 1: I know, right, No, Dark said, listen to me. Look,
- 54:01Speaker 1: first of all, this young dude that wrote this letter
- 54:04Speaker 1: because he looking for answers because he don't know. Now
- 54:09Speaker 1: he got game, but he don't have advanced game because
- 54:14Speaker 1: he writing a letter because he don't know the answer.
- 54:18Speaker 1: Your girlfriend and you've been together for a year. You
- 54:20Speaker 1: met her. She had just ended relationship with a wealthy
- 54:23Speaker 1: man that was nineteen years older than hug. Now you
- 54:29Speaker 1: didn't say how old anybody is in this letter, but
- 54:31Speaker 1: just judging by the right the way you write, I'm thinking, man,
- 54:37Speaker 1: she bought twenty six. I figured he bought forty six.
- 54:42Speaker 1: That's just a guesting based on the way you're writing
- 54:47Speaker 1: twenty six forty five something like that. This man spoiled
- 54:51Speaker 1: her with expensive gifts. He was her first sexually, so
- 54:55Speaker 1: she was caught up for a long time. Oh just
- 54:57Speaker 1: happen for a while. He offered to buy her kind
- 55:01Speaker 1: of if she stayed with him, but she realized that
- 55:03Speaker 1: he was just trying to buy her love and she
- 55:05Speaker 1: wasn't really into him, so they broke up. We've been
- 55:09Speaker 1: dating since then. The old boyfriends still calling, texts her
- 55:12Speaker 1: and tells her whenever, and then she tells me whatever
- 55:16Speaker 1: she hears from him. I'm no fool, So I've just
- 55:19Speaker 1: been looking for signs of infidelity that she is not
- 55:22Speaker 1: giving me any reason not to trust her. First of all,
- 55:25Speaker 1: she ain't seeing the dude. She's a good girl. She
- 55:30Speaker 1: telling you every time to dude contact her. But why
- 55:35Speaker 1: does a woman notify you every time another man called
- 55:40Speaker 1: her calls? She wants you to know. She wants you
- 55:46Speaker 1: to know he's still calling, He still want me. And
- 55:50Speaker 1: you know why she notifying you because she trying to
- 55:53Speaker 1: send a signal to you that you need to step
- 55:55Speaker 1: up your game because you're lacking somewhat partner. Now here
- 56:00Speaker 1: comes the real truth. Since you got game and everything,
- 56:04Speaker 1: but you ain't got advanced game all right now, I
- 56:07Speaker 1: ain't no food looking for him for Delhi not giving
- 56:09Speaker 1: me any reason trusting she's new to the game. Sound
- 56:12Speaker 1: like you new to the game. That's what it sound
- 56:16Speaker 1: like she knew to the game. You still knew what game.
- 56:20Speaker 1: So it's the old rich cat that I really don't trust.
- 56:24Speaker 1: Why does he have to check on her to see
- 56:26Speaker 1: if she's okay all the time? Because he WoT her,
- 56:30Speaker 1: he won't her back. And that's what grown asked. Men
- 56:34Speaker 1: do we call and we check on it? Just saying hey,
- 56:39Speaker 1: make sure and you're good. Don't want to see you
- 56:42Speaker 1: fall on hard times? Is everything okay? Hello? Pot no
- 56:51Speaker 1: old player lines, I love him stay. I believe he
- 56:54Speaker 1: waiting for me to slip up so he can make
- 56:56Speaker 1: his move. He ain't waiting on you to slip up.
- 57:00Speaker 1: Now he moving. He waiting on the damn thing you
- 57:05Speaker 1: involved with the girl and he texting her. Now you
- 57:10Speaker 1: slipping and you don't know it, young homie. She knew
- 57:16Speaker 1: to the game. You knew to the game. But hang
- 57:18Speaker 1: on because Steve and to put your own game. He's
- 57:22Speaker 1: gonna get him, right boy, saying, no game, just lying him,
- 57:26Speaker 1: get him old and paper two he got old and
- 57:30Speaker 1: with Mace. Well, you ain't got a chance your ass out.
- 57:37Speaker 1: You know what mean you you out? Don't even know
- 57:38Speaker 1: you're going out, know it? Man's this letter about? All right? Listen,
- 57:43Speaker 1: we'll come back with part two with the old players
- 57:46Speaker 1: in the game, young boy, all right, twenty three afters
- 57:52Speaker 1: when we're coming back, all right, the subject today is
- 57:54Speaker 1: why is her ex still checking on her? Right after this?
- 57:59Speaker 1: You're listening, all right, let's recap today's strawberry letters Steve.
- 58:05Speaker 1: It's called the subject why is her ex still checking
- 58:08Speaker 1: on her? A young man wrote this one, Dude, dating
- 58:10Speaker 1: this girl man that was involved with this man that
- 58:13Speaker 1: was nineteen years older and her. He called it her
- 58:15Speaker 1: old man. That was her first sexual encounter. So she
- 58:19Speaker 1: was caught up with him for a while. She wanted
- 58:22Speaker 1: he wanted to buy him a condo. She stayed with him.
- 58:24Speaker 1: She realized he was just trying to buy love. They
- 58:26Speaker 1: broke up. Now you've been dating her, he's still checking
- 58:29Speaker 1: on you, trying to figure out why her ex is
- 58:32Speaker 1: still checking on because he won't because he want her back.
- 58:37Speaker 1: You know how he got your girl. He was checking
- 58:39Speaker 1: on you. Know how he got your girl? He was
- 58:48Speaker 1: checking on See. Put is something that young boys don't
- 58:54Speaker 1: know how to do. See, y'all, don't check on women.
- 58:58Speaker 1: You call women because you want to cheat and hook
- 59:00Speaker 1: up you on a Netflix night. But you're gonna call him,
- 59:03Speaker 1: check on him. See how they're doing, See how they
- 59:06Speaker 1: day going, Did they need anything anything you can do
- 59:11Speaker 1: for help him solve problems? See that's what Groan asked me,
- 59:15Speaker 1: and he was, See he is right there. Why don't
- 59:19Speaker 1: you check on him? No? See hold on, hold let
- 59:21Speaker 1: me finish this here for see. So what he do
- 59:23Speaker 1: is he he said it all up. Now Now you're
- 59:28Speaker 1: talking about she knew to the game. So it's the
- 59:30Speaker 1: old rich cat that I really don't trust. Why he
- 59:33Speaker 1: got to check on it to see if she okay?
- 59:35Speaker 1: All the time, I believe he waiting on me to
- 59:37Speaker 1: slip up so he can make his move. Partner, he
- 59:40Speaker 1: already moving. He don't even give a damn about you.
- 59:43Speaker 1: You're irrelevant. He texting your girl right now while y'all
- 59:48Speaker 1: all together. He ain't waiting on you to slip up.
- 59:50Speaker 1: He gonna cause you to slip up. He gonna show
- 59:53Speaker 1: a vast difference between him and you. He ain't waiting
- 59:57Speaker 1: on you to slip up here in the game, Partner.
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: You know why because to old school players, it ain't
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: a game. It's a contest. Everybody can get a blue ribbon.
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: Let's go. Recently, she told me that he asked if
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: I was taking care of her the way he used to.
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: I got game, and I do what it takes to
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: keep a smile on my lady's face. That ain't what
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: he asked a girl. He asked a girl, were you
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: taking care of her the way he used to? The
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: answer to that question is now, because your answer wasn't, Yale. See,
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: you ain't taking care of her the way he used to.
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: You're going back to I got game game, I want
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: no damn game bought. This ain't videoing in the arcade,
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: this life. I know how to keep a smile on
- 1:00:50Speaker 1: my lady's face. I told I told my lady that
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: he realizes he lost a good thing and there's no
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: no way that he just wants to be friends with her.
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: He mentioned friend and none of them texts. He asked,
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: your girl, where you taking care of her the way
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: he used to? That ain't trying to be friends. He
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: gonna get back into taking care of her business because
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: I think you ain't. I asked her to stop talking
- 1:01:20Speaker 1: to him. You go the clue, but she refused because
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: you know what what he talking about where different from
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: what you're talking about. Didn't you just tell us you
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: had a game where the game must be weak? Because
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: she want to hear something else. He as saying that
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: she's glad that they still friends, and she liked when
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: he checks on her. And you know why he liked
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: when you check on when you check on her, because
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: you don't, man, because you're so busy with your game.
- 1:01:54Speaker 1: You're so busy trying to put a smile on her
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: face that you don't really know how to check on
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: her if you don't care out for her. I love
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: your answers, you just want to do something with it.
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: I'm telling him, I'm giving him your game unless just
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: what he's doing wrong? This old man is what she
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: telling you, is she trying to put you on game
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: so you can know what game is, because that little
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: weak ass game you got ain't worth for quality. So
- 1:02:23Speaker 1: she keeps telling you every time he called what he
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: said nah, and she likes when each other. Maybe I'm crazy,
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: but this ain't sitting well with men. This shit. I
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: tell you, she ain't gonna be sitting with you in
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: a minute. This old boyfriend is a wolf in sheep's clothing.
- 1:02:44Speaker 1: No he not, He just a wolf. He ain't got
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: no sheep's clothing on. The problem me is a little boy.
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: You are sheep. You in trouble, You up against you,
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: up against some deep odds man unless you really learn
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: what game is. And she's too naive to see it.
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: Don't she see exactly what it is. It's just what
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: she had before she don't have now, So she's staying
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: in touch with what she had before because she thinks
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: what she got now ain't gonna last. How do I
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: get this man to leave my girlfriend alone? Plea calling?
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: Let's cut this out him. You want to get this
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: man to leave your girl alone? Calling? Calling his number
- 1:03:35Speaker 1: in her phone, get her phone calling, tell him don't
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: call your woman no more or else what n Let's
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: find out what kind of game. See. You may find
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: out that he cared more deeply for her than you do. See.
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: But now I'm ask you, and I ain't saying you
- 1:03:56Speaker 1: got to get violent. That ain't what I'm saying to you.
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: But calling man, have a man to man conversation and
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: tell him he can't call your girl no more. You
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: can convince him of that, then you got something. If
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: you can't convince him of that, you got nothing. He
- 1:04:18Speaker 1: can't whoop his old dude ass man, that's just nineteen
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: years you're twenty six forty five. You're gonna get your
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: ass s thought. Now, Hey, this is begging for a

- 1:18:37Speaker 1: here's some signs you and your phone need to take
- 1:18:40Speaker 1: a break, okay from social media. You're making out landish
- 1:18:44Speaker 1: plans just for the photo op. Okay people, Yeah right, yes,

- 1:22:09Speaker 1: Hang on. Hang on that picture that dude walking home

- 1:26:24Speaker 1: coming up our last break of the day, we're going
- 1:26:27Speaker 1: to close out the show. You're listening here, we are
- 1:26:33Speaker 1: last break of the day, Steve. This time is for
- 1:26:37Speaker 1: you to just leave us with something we can go
- 1:26:39Speaker 1: through the rest of the day with. With your closing
- 1:26:41Speaker 1: remarks and what do you have for us today, sir, Well,
- 1:26:44Speaker 1: you know, just something I've had to learn. But I
- 1:26:50Speaker 1: have to constantly, constantly remind myself of it all the time.
- 1:26:56Speaker 1: And that is something that Bishop Kenneth Olma talk. He
- 1:27:01Speaker 1: taught me something I was going through, something I was
- 1:27:03Speaker 1: being attacked, I thought rather unfailed with a bunch of
- 1:27:07Speaker 1: vicious lies. And what I was about to do was
- 1:27:11Speaker 1: I had a plan of a counter attack. I'm gonna
- 1:27:15Speaker 1: go I'm gonna say something. I'm gonna set the records straight.
- 1:27:19Speaker 1: Bishop Oldman called me just in the nick of time.
- 1:27:21Speaker 1: I was about to make a call to a reporter.
- 1:27:24Speaker 1: I was about to make a call to a reporter.
- 1:27:28Speaker 1: I was about to just set the record straight. And
- 1:27:32Speaker 1: Bishop Alma said something to me that changed my direction.
- 1:27:36Speaker 1: He says, Steve, stay on the wall. Stay on the wall.
- 1:27:41Speaker 1: It's actually a scripture I don't know which one it is,
- 1:27:44Speaker 1: but it's something to the effect of stay on the wall.
- 1:27:48Speaker 1: But what he explained to me was very simple. You
- 1:27:54Speaker 1: are in a certain position in life. God has allowed
- 1:27:59Speaker 1: you to climb in dual overcome, survive and thrive. At
- 1:28:08Speaker 1: a certain point in life, when people beneath you start
- 1:28:15Speaker 1: throwing rocks up at you, when people on the floor
- 1:28:22Speaker 1: start attacking you, saying stuff about you that ain't true,
- 1:28:27Speaker 1: it is in your best interests to stay on the wall.
- 1:28:31Speaker 1: Do not climb down off the wall to address this
- 1:28:35Speaker 1: small stuff. When God has put you up there on
- 1:28:39Speaker 1: the side of the hill. You halfway up the mountain,
- 1:28:42Speaker 1: but you're gonna come back down to the bottom of
- 1:28:44Speaker 1: the mountain because somebody was hauling insults up there, So
- 1:28:47Speaker 1: now you come all halfway back down the mountain to
- 1:28:50Speaker 1: address them. Why now you got to go all the
- 1:28:53Speaker 1: way back up there when all you had to do,
- 1:28:56Speaker 1: Steve Harvey, was stay on the wall. When all you
- 1:29:00Speaker 1: had to do with stay on that side of the
- 1:29:02Speaker 1: mountain that God had allowed you to get to get
- 1:29:04Speaker 1: on that plateau and take yourself a rest. But stay
- 1:29:07Speaker 1: on the wall, stay on the mountain side, don't come
- 1:29:10Speaker 1: off to address these people that's throwing rocks at you.
- 1:29:15Speaker 1: Drake and Meek decided to quit coming off the wall.
- 1:29:20Speaker 1: It makes no sense. Cardi B and Nicki Minaj, you're
- 1:29:26Speaker 1: on the wall. Why do you keep getting off the
- 1:29:29Speaker 1: wall to address these small minded matters and people? I'm
- 1:29:36Speaker 1: telling you, man, just because you famous don't make you
- 1:29:41Speaker 1: the smartest people in the room. We're not just because
- 1:29:44Speaker 1: we're famous people. We make mistakes too, because guess what,
- 1:29:48Speaker 1: famous people are happened to be human beings. They just
- 1:29:52Speaker 1: got more people know they faced and know yours. They
- 1:29:55Speaker 1: not know better than you. They're not smarter than you.
- 1:29:58Speaker 1: They're not kinder than you, they're not deeper than you.
- 1:30:03Speaker 1: It's none of that. That may have seen a few
- 1:30:06Speaker 1: more things, been a few more places. But guess what
- 1:30:09Speaker 1: if you don't adjust your thinking and you keep coming
- 1:30:12Speaker 1: down off the wall, don't those rich, wealthy, famous people
- 1:30:16Speaker 1: look real common for you? And don't it kind of
- 1:30:20Speaker 1: make you just a little bit of shame sometime when
- 1:30:23Speaker 1: you look over there and you see somebody that you
- 1:30:26Speaker 1: clearly know that God has blessed and allowed to get
- 1:30:28Speaker 1: to a certain position in life, And don't it sicken
- 1:30:31Speaker 1: you just a little bit when you look over there
- 1:30:33Speaker 1: and they back down off the wall, acting like somebody
- 1:30:36Speaker 1: that ain't never been up on the wall. I don't
- 1:30:39Speaker 1: want to be that person, Nicki Minaj, really don't want
- 1:30:43Speaker 1: to be that person. Cardi b You don't really want
- 1:30:46Speaker 1: to be that person, because we're just defeating the purpose
- 1:30:51Speaker 1: of climbing anyway. You can't climb the wall or the
- 1:30:56Speaker 1: ladder and keep getting off every time somebody throw a rocket.
- 1:31:00Speaker 1: At one point in time, you gotta keep your foot
- 1:31:02Speaker 1: on the ladder and keep climbing. At one point time,
- 1:31:05Speaker 1: you just got to stay on the wall quick coming
- 1:31:07Speaker 1: back down. The best lesson I learned was not to
- 1:31:11Speaker 1: address everything that said about me. Do you know how
- 1:31:14Speaker 1: much stuff gets said about me? Man that I could
- 1:31:16Speaker 1: easily straighten out. I don't even take the time to
- 1:31:19Speaker 1: straighten it out, because what I'm on a mission. God
- 1:31:26Speaker 1: got me on a mission. God got you on the mission.
- 1:31:29Speaker 1: God trying to show you something, man, and God can't
- 1:31:32Speaker 1: show it to you. If you're gonna keep acting regular,
- 1:31:37Speaker 1: Why would God do something extraordinary for you? If you
- 1:31:39Speaker 1: just want to be ordinary? Why would God give you
- 1:31:43Speaker 1: more if you ain't appreciative of what you have Why
- 1:31:48Speaker 1: would God take you high if you keep climbing back down?
- 1:31:51Speaker 1: Just ask yourself that. So one of the things I
- 1:31:55Speaker 1: had to come away with quick coming off that wall,
- 1:31:58Speaker 1: to address stuff. And that's what I want everybody to
- 1:32:02Speaker 1: consider today. And sometimes let famous people be your example.
- 1:32:08Speaker 1: And what are the great examples? Was over this weekend,
- 1:32:10Speaker 1: Drake and Meek Meal, they hugged, they squashed the beef.
- 1:32:16Speaker 1: It's plenty of money for everybody. Drake not gonna get
- 1:32:19Speaker 1: it all, Meek not gonna get it all. Card ain't
- 1:32:22Speaker 1: gonna get it all. Nicki Minag ain't gonna get it all.
- 1:32:24Speaker 1: Steve Harvey ain't gonna get it all. Ain't nobody gonna
- 1:32:27Speaker 1: get it all. It's plenty for everybody. Make your money,
- 1:32:31Speaker 1: stay on the wall, live your life as a righteous person.
- 1:32:35Speaker 1: Do the best you can. Stay preyed up because we're
- 1:32:39Speaker 1: all gonna fall shorter to glory at the end. All right,
- 1:32:43Speaker 1: those are my clothes remarks. Why you ain't say Steve
- 1:32:46Speaker 1: Harvey ain't gonna get it all. Time, ain't gonna get
- 1:32:47Speaker 1: it out. Why you ain't say that, I didn't. I
- 1:32:50Speaker 1: didn't want to compare me and you. But we're a
- 1:32:52Speaker 1: good comparison. This is such an obvious one. It doesn't
- 1:32:56Speaker 1: really drop the mic. Stick. He always got to drop
- 1:33:00Speaker 1: the mic. Why don't get to drop the mic? You
- 1:33:02Speaker 1: ain't never saying none? Never shut up, Julie, what you're
- 1:33:06Speaker 1: gonna mess around? Head and mic fall on you. For
