- 2:10Speaker 1: One and only Steve Arvey got a radio show. Man
- 2:13Speaker 1: o man o man something going on real good today.
- 2:17Speaker 1: You ought to feel blessed today, the fact that God
- 2:20Speaker 1: woke you up and gave you another opportunity. You know,
- 2:23Speaker 1: every day you wake up, it's another chance. It's a
- 2:25Speaker 1: chance for all of us to get better, to get
- 2:28Speaker 1: it right, to get on the right path, to stop
- 2:31Speaker 1: heading the wrong way. Every day you wake up, that's
- 2:34Speaker 1: your opportunity. See, because He's gonna keep waking you up
- 2:38Speaker 1: because he has a plan for you. You know, I
- 2:42Speaker 1: don't know, h you know, I don't I don't, I
- 2:47Speaker 1: don't know when he makes his call, and you know
- 2:50Speaker 1: who gets called home when I can't explain it, I
- 2:53Speaker 1: don't have that answer. I'm not him, I'm not God.
- 2:56Speaker 1: I don't claim to be. I don't. I don't understand
- 2:58Speaker 1: it all sometimes, but God has an amazing way. But
- 3:03Speaker 1: as long as he's waking you up, I do know this.
- 3:05Speaker 1: God ain't through with you yet. God has a plan
- 3:08Speaker 1: for you. Your job is to identify identify the plan.
- 3:13Speaker 1: You know, that's that's clearly what I need for you
- 3:15Speaker 1: to do. You know, um oftentimes the thing that you're
- 3:20Speaker 1: looking for, it's right there inside of you. You know.
- 3:25Speaker 1: I can't tell you how many people I meet, mister Harvey.
- 3:29Speaker 1: Mister Harvey can speak to you for a many year. Man,
- 3:31Speaker 1: what's up with you? Man? I was just wondering. Man,
- 3:34Speaker 1: I've been trying to and I want to know, man,
- 3:36Speaker 1: can you give me a good agent? Can you give
- 3:39Speaker 1: me a good lawyer? Can you give me a good Now? Look,
- 3:42Speaker 1: if you got some legal problems, I understand you're gonna
- 3:44Speaker 1: need some help right there. But the majority of questions
- 3:47Speaker 1: I get asked is about their future, about their place
- 3:50Speaker 1: in this world, about their mission, about what they're trying
- 3:53Speaker 1: to do how they're trying to figure out and then
- 3:56Speaker 1: how to go about doing it. But the answer I
- 3:59Speaker 1: must remember all of you is always within yourself. It
- 4:03Speaker 1: starts right there. See a lot of people burn up
- 4:06Speaker 1: a lot of time looking around trying to find someone.
- 4:10Speaker 1: If I could just meet them, if I could just
- 4:14Speaker 1: get on her show. Man, if all, if I could
- 4:17Speaker 1: just get to his show, I beating made It's not
- 4:22Speaker 1: that's not necessarily the case. Because see, just like every
- 4:27Speaker 1: time you put your put your faith in a person
- 4:31Speaker 1: or an event or currents or some type of thing
- 4:35Speaker 1: that you imagine yourself being and then that'll do it
- 4:38Speaker 1: for you. Imagine of all the people who've made it
- 4:40Speaker 1: without you know, I look at everybody telling man, if
- 4:43Speaker 1: I could get on so and so show, that will
- 4:45Speaker 1: do it for me. Man, somebody else got on that
- 4:47Speaker 1: show and they blew up. Man, if I could just
- 4:49Speaker 1: make it to that show, do you know how many
- 4:51Speaker 1: people have made it without that? So see, when you
- 4:55Speaker 1: start focusing in on what your idea of how to
- 4:59Speaker 1: make it is, and your idea of how to make
- 5:01Speaker 1: it does not include your relationship with God, you're spending
- 5:05Speaker 1: your wills. Man, It's a vicious cycle. You in now,
- 5:09Speaker 1: and I'm asking everybody to get out of that cycle,
- 5:12Speaker 1: get out of looking for someone and something. The answer
- 5:15Speaker 1: is within you. God resides in you. That burning thing
- 5:20Speaker 1: that you have that you just can't get out your head,
- 5:23Speaker 1: that's a seed. God planet that that that's a seed.
- 5:27Speaker 1: It needs watering, nurturing, fertilizing, and that's what it needs.
- 5:31Speaker 1: It didn't it. Don't ever say, man, I need that
- 5:34Speaker 1: other person right there now. Now, people you will meet
- 5:37Speaker 1: that a compliment you, and I can assure you that
- 5:39Speaker 1: God will put you in the right place at the
- 5:41Speaker 1: right time. I'm almost certain that God will introduce you
- 5:45Speaker 1: to everybody you need to be introduced to to make
- 5:48Speaker 1: it to wherever it is. You all are trying to
- 5:51Speaker 1: get to him, talking about you and God now. But
- 5:53Speaker 1: the moment you're taken into your own hands and you
- 5:56Speaker 1: make the decision as to who you got to get to,
- 5:59Speaker 1: You've just cloudy and muddied the waters. See God's plan
- 6:03Speaker 1: for you don't really need your help. It needs your attention,
- 6:09Speaker 1: it needs your focus, it needs your faith, and it
- 6:13Speaker 1: needs your hard work. But it needs you to listen.
- 6:17Speaker 1: Needs you to listen more than anything, Listen, keep the
- 6:21Speaker 1: faith and be willing to work your tail off. I
- 6:25Speaker 1: don't know how you think it can happen any other way,
- 6:28Speaker 1: But then again I do because I try to make
- 6:32Speaker 1: it another way. So I had to come to the conclusion,
- 6:36Speaker 1: Hey man, listen here, dog, this ain't working for you.
- 6:39Speaker 1: You gotta get some more God, here, man, listen to me.
- 6:43Speaker 1: The answer was always within me, the moment I sat
- 6:48Speaker 1: down with myself and told myself the truth that a
- 6:52Speaker 1: partner you ain't really all that they a partner, regardless
- 6:56Speaker 1: as to what people are seeing and stuff. You ain't happy.
- 7:00Speaker 1: Hey Pardner, this really ain't about you. Hey Pardner, you
- 7:04Speaker 1: really ain't all that good at this. God is keeping
- 7:08Speaker 1: you for a reason. Okay, hold up, Steve, quit tripping.
- 7:11Speaker 1: What I need to do. I just started talking to
- 7:14Speaker 1: myself and then I heard Bishop Jake's say a couple
- 7:17Speaker 1: of things. Then I was watching TV. I heard Joel
- 7:19Speaker 1: Oldstein say a couple of things, and I went wild, man, Okay, cool,
- 7:24Speaker 1: that's pretty slick. I'm gonna try that. And when I
- 7:27Speaker 1: did it, it changed my life. I am telling you, man,
- 7:31Speaker 1: it has been God this whole time, and the God
- 7:34Speaker 1: has been residing inside of me just like the God
- 7:38Speaker 1: resides on the inside of you. That's him talking to you,
- 7:41Speaker 1: telling you, man, you are to get it together. Man
- 7:44Speaker 1: making you feel bad, it's sending you on guilt trips,
- 7:47Speaker 1: you knowing you wrong and you out there wrong, and
- 7:50Speaker 1: something telling you you all not do it. Here's how
- 7:53Speaker 1: you know. It's God. And Bishop Olmer taught me this
- 7:56Speaker 1: in his book He's got geting get the name of
- 8:00Speaker 1: it right now, but it's a really good book. But
- 8:02Speaker 1: it says in there man. Bishop Alma was talking in
- 8:05Speaker 1: this book and he was saying, the way you know
- 8:09Speaker 1: is not God's voice. It's if it ain't no sin
- 8:13Speaker 1: in it. See how many times have you made up
- 8:17Speaker 1: in your mind, I'm gonna show this person or I'm
- 8:20Speaker 1: gonna show that person. I'm gonna get this person back.
- 8:23Speaker 1: You hurt me, I'm gonna hurt you. You know the
- 8:26Speaker 1: Lord don't like ugly. I'll show you well, the Lord
- 8:29Speaker 1: don't like ugly. But no way in that doesn't safe
- 8:32Speaker 1: for you to go show them. It doesn't say that. See,
- 8:37Speaker 1: so when you strike out on that mission, you know
- 8:40Speaker 1: the God knows in my heart I loved you, but
- 8:42Speaker 1: I got to do this because you did me. Whoa
- 8:44Speaker 1: wo ain't got nothing to do with God right there,
- 8:47Speaker 1: You can take him out of it. If it's God,
- 8:50Speaker 1: has no sin in it. So anytime somebody come to
- 8:54Speaker 1: me talking about the Lord told me to do this
- 8:58Speaker 1: to you, and that's the only reason I'm doing. And
- 9:00Speaker 1: you need to get yourself right with God. I heard
- 9:02Speaker 1: all them threats right there. That ain't God talking to
- 9:05Speaker 1: me through you. What are you crazy? If it's God,
- 9:09Speaker 1: it has no sin in it. So you got to
- 9:11Speaker 1: be careful, man, when you're talking to people and we're
- 9:14Speaker 1: gonna go down here and we're gonna do this because
- 9:15Speaker 1: this is the right thing to do. If it has
- 9:18Speaker 1: something wrong going on, then it can't be the right
- 9:21Speaker 1: thing to do. Took me a minute to learn that one,
- 9:25Speaker 1: But please get that through your head so you can
- 9:28Speaker 1: quit spinning yourself around and remember everything you're looking for
- 9:33Speaker 1: is within you. It's all right there. Quit wasting your
- 9:37Speaker 1: time looking around all the time. Go to your God, man,
- 9:41Speaker 1: talk to him. Go to that spirit that's on the
- 9:44Speaker 1: inside of you that's calling you. Stop letting people shake
- 9:48Speaker 1: your treat At the end of the day, somebody gonna
- 9:50Speaker 1: be right, somebody gonna be wrong, All right, y'all, we're
- 9:53Speaker 1: gonna help going dating, tripping a little bit, going through something.
- 9:56Speaker 1: You're listening, all right, everybody listening up. Your weekend is
- 10:03Speaker 1: over over. That's it. It's Monday. Forget it. It's Monday.

- 14:25Speaker 1: I've been working out so I can eat it. Uh good.
- 14:30Speaker 1: This one girl named Chante. You can look at my instagram.

- 14:53Speaker 1: if you want to check it out. But it is
- 14:55Speaker 1: delicious and Jay don't feel left out, of course. I
- 14:58Speaker 1: brought you a big hunk. Oh that's right, you're still
- 15:01Speaker 1: How do you have? I ever go down the list?
- 15:05Speaker 1: I got it all and did you get food poison
- 15:10Speaker 1: or something over the weekend? City and I got food points?
- 15:14Speaker 1: Anybody ever had food poison Yes, I worse. It is
- 15:18Speaker 1: the absolute worst, you know. And they say, whatever you
- 15:22Speaker 1: get from food poisoning, it was your shrimp. They say,
- 15:25Speaker 1: you won't go back to shrimp again. You went right
- 15:29Speaker 1: back to Tommy said that there's so many Tommy, No,
- 15:34Speaker 1: I mean, you know, I got calamari and uh, and
- 15:37Speaker 1: there's some ribs from some place in Texas. I never
- 15:41Speaker 1: went to the place again. I haven't even calamari since
- 15:43Speaker 1: the nights. But you're still ribs though, right? Would you
- 15:46Speaker 1: still eat? I just couldn't lead in reels. Good if
- 15:49Speaker 1: calamari is the right whatever. Man don't live in the past, Tommy,
- 15:57Speaker 1: don't live in the path. So maybe is God's way
- 16:00Speaker 1: of saying, go back to vegans because I had been,
- 16:02Speaker 1: you know, not eating meat for Yeah, said I'll just
- 16:05Speaker 1: eat these shrimps, and God shaid, no, we're gonna make
- 16:08Speaker 1: you sick of it. But then I ate shrimp again. Yeah,
- 16:10Speaker 1: and you was fine that theory. I'm fine. Yeah, so far,
- 16:14Speaker 1: so far? Question so far? Yes, who created trimp? Who
- 16:17Speaker 1: created shrimp? Okay? Thank you? Ye? Also, you know I
- 16:22Speaker 1: thought it was a trick question. I know which way
- 16:24Speaker 1: to did you hear my? Voice. He was scared. He
- 16:30Speaker 1: was afraid, like I'm gonna be on that show, all right, Carlos.
- 16:35Speaker 1: So let's know what the parrels do. I am remodeling.
- 16:39Speaker 1: What we are remodeling Tasha, my daughter's bathroom. So we
- 16:44Speaker 1: spent the weekend looking at toilets. We went to that's
- 16:51Speaker 1: that's yeah, that's speak and afraid and that. But you
- 16:57Speaker 1: can't get anyone at a certain age. You got it,
- 17:00Speaker 1: get him higher or lower, you know. Yeah, yes, okay,
- 17:03Speaker 1: so we look that tile and you know we're doing
- 17:06Speaker 1: all that. Go to my Instagram page. Speaking of that, surely,
- 17:08Speaker 1: going to my Instagram page, I can see I have
- 17:10Speaker 1: watched you do those, Carla. Those are fascinating. I'm like,
- 17:14Speaker 1: she really is doing carl Yeah, yes, my d I
- 17:18Speaker 1: y projects. Yes, thank you Jay, it's at Carlo. You
- 17:21Speaker 1: could check check me out. So the next phase, you know,
- 17:24Speaker 1: we're working on that. So we did some shopping and
- 17:26Speaker 1: I went to church and brunch and all that. Yeah, okay,
- 17:29Speaker 1: I'm not trying to put a hex on you, but
- 17:31Speaker 1: have you shocked yourself yet trying to do something? Why
- 17:35Speaker 1: would you say something? Just a question, It's just it's
- 17:37Speaker 1: just you know, a lot of people I don't off. Yeah,
- 17:43Speaker 1: there's a lot of people that I don't need to
- 17:44Speaker 1: turn the power off. I know what, yes you do.
- 17:46Speaker 1: Are you one of those people? Carlo? You know he
- 17:49Speaker 1: had food poisoning. Why would you say something like that? Jay,
- 17:54Speaker 1: don't put that out in the atmosphere. Have I shocked myself? Yeah?
- 18:04Speaker 1: I was domestic. I realized I need to get married
- 18:08Speaker 1: and get married quick because I can't fold that fitted sheet.
- 18:13Speaker 1: I answered with that thing for seven hours. I watched
- 18:17Speaker 1: videos on YouTube's call my mama. I'm sick. I just
- 18:22Speaker 1: I didn't even sleep it up the bed. I don't
- 18:24Speaker 1: get it. I got my confidence. I can't sit up here.
- 18:29Speaker 1: I can't keep doing this. I did that all weekend,
- 18:34Speaker 1: wash clothes. Yeah, but they need to teach it in school.
- 18:42Speaker 1: You can, you have to. I don't know how. You know,
- 18:45Speaker 1: like your grandmother. They make it look so easy. Then
- 18:49Speaker 1: you you get ahold of the sheet. You can't figure
- 18:51Speaker 1: out what end is. But I was wrapped up in
- 18:53Speaker 1: it at one part I was I was through. Ain't
- 18:56Speaker 1: keep popping up. Yeah, I said, I can't keep doing this,
- 19:01Speaker 1: get this forget nagged and afraid. I'd watched Junior day.
- 19:08Speaker 1: There's nobody in my house but me, so all this
- 19:11Speaker 1: stuff I have to do, Like I had to fold
- 19:14Speaker 1: all my clothes. I cannot fold an undershirt to save
- 19:18Speaker 1: my life. I struggled with regular shirt because I got
- 19:25Speaker 1: something from O. C. D. Like it got to be
- 19:27Speaker 1: even Oh yeah, I started, Yeah, you know what, I
- 19:30Speaker 1: can't get that. So I said, man, I'm just not
- 19:33Speaker 1: gonna wash no more. I'm just just gonna be dirty.
- 19:37Speaker 1: I'm watching I know Shirley, but that's how I felt.
- 19:42Speaker 1: So I can't keep this. All right, nephew, come on,
- 19:46Speaker 1: what you got? You know what? I did something yesterday?
- 19:50Speaker 1: We took my son, Jordan's eight years old hour outside
- 19:55Speaker 1: of Houston, dropped him off a camp. You can't call
- 19:58Speaker 1: your kid, your kid, you can't call you. So I'm like,
- 20:02Speaker 1: for the next five days, I'm being on pins and needles.
- 20:05Speaker 1: But you know what's the trip for it? He pats
- 20:07Speaker 1: me and his mama on the back when we leave. Hey, y'all,
- 20:10Speaker 1: I'm gonna be I'm gonna be fine. I got this, okay,
- 20:14Speaker 1: all right, Well, listen coming up next it's Monday, so
- 20:18Speaker 1: you know it's church Complaints and Announcements with Deacon Depth

- 24:22Speaker 1: is for our shouters who want to go higher. We
- 24:28Speaker 1: just don't. We just don't know where they're gonna land,
- 24:31Speaker 1: so please please shout with precaution. We had no idea

- 26:06Speaker 1: this is his first time seeing her without makeup, and
- 26:09Speaker 1: he had no earthly idea she looked like that, and
- 26:13Speaker 1: he is filing charging on our identity. Is fair, that's

- 27:42Speaker 1: who is legally blind, accidentally put his wife's wig on
- 27:47Speaker 1: instead of his toothpay Now we made it ninety percent
- 27:52Speaker 1: through the service until sister Doris Fay had to say
- 27:56Speaker 1: something and that's when sister Randall jumped on Doris Fay.

- 31:09Speaker 1: and just the way he makes the story it is
- 31:12Speaker 1: I mean, the dialogue is great, and it's set in
- 31:16Speaker 1: the seventies, and you know, and you see all these
- 31:18Speaker 1: old products, all the old music. He does a great
- 31:21Speaker 1: job his supporting. Kasho's the other can't think Brad Pitt.
- 31:25Speaker 1: Leonardo Dicaffria knows two together are just great. It is
- 31:28Speaker 1: a great movie. It's a it's an I'll go see

- 31:56Speaker 1: all right, is uh time to get serious this morning?
- 32:00Speaker 1: You know, Jay Tommy Junior, Um Shirley miss Anne is
- 32:06Speaker 1: standing by another mass shooting yesterday at a garlic festival
- 32:12Speaker 1: in gil Roy, California. It was the gil Roy Garlic Festival.
- 32:17Speaker 1: Multiple victims another mass shooting. Um Jay Let's get miss
- 32:22Speaker 1: Anne in. All right, everybody, it's time for the news
- 32:25Speaker 1: with miss Andrip. Thank you very much, very much, very
- 32:29Speaker 1: I'm very very Northern California billed yesterday. Yesterday gunman at
- 32:38Speaker 1: the annual rounds before us being gunned down himself. Fifteen
- 32:45Speaker 1: other people have been injured. Right now, authorities do not
- 32:48Speaker 1: know of a motive. They say that there might have
- 32:49Speaker 1: been a second person that actually helped him get into
- 32:52Speaker 1: the festival, helped him cut the fence so that he
- 32:55Speaker 1: could go around security to get in, and they're looking
- 32:57Speaker 1: for that second person as well, but again they don't
- 33:00Speaker 1: have any reason, no motive for this. A six year
- 33:03Speaker 1: old boy lost his life through other people, including the
- 33:06Speaker 1: gunman at the Guild War GLIC Festivals an annual event
- 33:09Speaker 1: and it's well attended every year. There's a tremendous out
- 33:12Speaker 1: in cry across the nation over one of the President's
- 33:14Speaker 1: latest tweets, this time about Baltimore and the wake of
- 33:17Speaker 1: Congressman A Logic Cummings is criticism of the Trump administration's
- 33:20Speaker 1: immigration policies, the President calling the Civil Rights Icon a
- 33:24Speaker 1: quote brutal bully and calling Cummings mostly black. Baltimore Congressional
- 33:28Speaker 1: district a quote disgusting, rat infested mess. However, fellow Congressman
- 33:33Speaker 1: Gerald Natalee tells both the ABC's this Week that Trump's
- 33:36Speaker 1: reaction is both transparent and really typical the President, as
- 33:42Speaker 1: he usually is or often is, disgusting and racist. He
- 33:46Speaker 1: makes these charges with no base at all, and they
- 33:50Speaker 1: are designed to distract attention from the very serious allegations
- 33:55Speaker 1: about his conduct that came from the committee hearings this week.
- 33:59Speaker 1: And of course he was talking about last week's Community
- 34:01Speaker 1: Committee hearings. Although Baltimore has a serious crime problem, Cummins
- 34:05Speaker 1: is credited with getting the funds that have reduced the
- 34:07Speaker 1: city's crime rate and improved neighborhoods in other ways. At
- 34:10Speaker 1: the same time, Baltimore also has an above average college
- 34:13Speaker 1: education rate. Also, Trump's critics have been posting pictures of
- 34:16Speaker 1: ratchet looking Republican districts online. And there's something else. Get this.
- 34:20Speaker 1: There's a report that the President's son and lawd Jared Kushner,
- 34:23Speaker 1: owns a bunch of apartment buildings in Baltimore, buildings that
- 34:26Speaker 1: have racked up hundreds of violations and have considered slums.
- 34:31Speaker 1: Buildings that are still owned by Cushner even though he
- 34:33Speaker 1: still works for the White House. President Trump's tweeted that
- 34:36Speaker 1: his Director of National Intelligence, Dan Coachs, is going to
- 34:38Speaker 1: be resigning his post on August fifteenth. Trump says he'll
- 34:41Speaker 1: nominate Congressman John Radcliff off Texas to take his place.
- 34:45Speaker 1: Trump and Coats have really differed a lot publicly on
- 34:49Speaker 1: certain things. His replacement, John Radcliffe, is very conservative. In fact,
- 34:53Speaker 1: the groups that rate legislators on how they vote say
- 34:56Speaker 1: that Radcliffe is one of the most conservative lawmakers on
- 34:59Speaker 1: all of Capital Hill. He will become the Director of
- 35:02Speaker 1: National Intelligence. That's what Donald Trump wants anyway for the job. Finally,
- 35:06Speaker 1: the Lion King, Yes took first place at the box
- 35:08Speaker 1: office again this weekend, bringing over seventy five million dollars.
- 35:11Speaker 1: That is on top of the one hundred eighty five
- 35:13Speaker 1: million mate last week. Goly, you're listening show? All right?
- 35:21Speaker 1: So yesterday, guys, was our girl, Shirley Strawberry's birthday Happy
- 35:28Speaker 1: Birthday shirt. Me and my baby got a TV I
- 35:31Speaker 1: mean me and we got we got a TV show.
- 35:35Speaker 1: But go ahead, man, I submitted me and Shirley a
- 35:41Speaker 1: while back, and I just got the call because we
- 35:44Speaker 1: talk about things like this all the time. We brainstorm
- 35:49Speaker 1: and Shirley and I have no she don't know that
- 35:54Speaker 1: I submitted us a long time ago. So excited, Tommy,
- 35:57Speaker 1: this is really great. We are about to do and Afraid.

- 36:06Speaker 1: And who's afraid? You know, I'm afraid we both nick,
- 36:13Speaker 1: I don't see that to be afraid of Tom Thomas exactly.
- 36:21Speaker 1: Call my hook show is called Naked and Afraid. Somebody's
- 36:30Speaker 1: got to be afraid. You know what. We're gonna make it, barly,
- 36:37Speaker 1: this is all I want you to do. Brain some off.
- 36:41Speaker 1: You only get one item? Do we want off or
- 36:44Speaker 1: a knife? There is no weed. We are not French.
- 36:48Speaker 1: We're not doing this. We've been no producers off called.
- 36:53Speaker 1: We're doing this. I don't like outside you think naked
- 36:59Speaker 1: and alone. That's one naked out by myself. You are
- 37:11Speaker 1: so crazy, so surely Yeah, tell us one of your
- 37:13Speaker 1: favorite quickly birthday memories. Well us, this was just a
- 37:17Speaker 1: few years ago. Um, before you know, we moved to
- 37:21Speaker 1: Atlanta and all of that. Uh my friend Tracy out here,
- 37:25Speaker 1: you know, does my hair and everything. Yeah, well she
- 37:30Speaker 1: you know, she didn't make a big deal about my birthday,
- 37:33Speaker 1: and usually we make big deals about each other's birthday.
- 37:35Speaker 1: And I was thinking, okay, we'll take I really was,
- 37:40Speaker 1: you know. So then she said at the last minute,
- 37:42Speaker 1: she was like, okay, well let's go out for dinner
- 37:44Speaker 1: or something. We'll just do that. You know, I don't
- 37:47Speaker 1: have a lot of money right now, so you know,
- 37:48Speaker 1: we'll I'm like, well, this my birthday I want to
- 37:51Speaker 1: do Okay, So anyway, we get to this restaurant. It's cute,
- 37:54Speaker 1: it's kind of quiet, you know, so we go in.
- 37:57Speaker 1: All of a sudden, lights come on, reaction, all these
- 38:01Speaker 1: people will jump out of everywhere. He got me so good.
- 38:08Speaker 1: I mean, she had people there that I hadn't seen
- 38:10Speaker 1: in years, in years, everybody. Yeah, it was really really
- 38:14Speaker 1: a nice celebration. Yeah, it was really fun and it
- 38:17Speaker 1: was fun. It was fun. She really got me. Thank
- 38:20Speaker 1: you guys. Okay, coming up at thirty four after the hour,
- 38:24Speaker 1: the President beefing with the city of Baltimore. Our thoughts
- 38:28Speaker 1: and prayers are with the city of Gilroy, California. There
- 38:33Speaker 1: was a mass shooting yesterday at the Gilroy Garlic Festival,
- 38:38Speaker 1: and we'll talk about it right after this. You're listening
- 38:42Speaker 1: to all right, so and trending political news. Guys, President
- 38:47Speaker 1: Trump is at it again. What is wrong with him?
- 38:51Speaker 1: He tweeted some I mean disgusting, some horrible insult and
- 38:55Speaker 1: attacks about Representative Elijah Cummings and his congressional district in
- 39:01Speaker 1: the city of Baltimore. This is what President Donald J.
- 39:05Speaker 1: Trump tweeted. No human being would want to live there.
- 39:09Speaker 1: It is a very dangerous and filthy place. It is
- 39:12Speaker 1: a disgusting, rat and rotent infested mess. It's not Baltimore,
- 39:20Speaker 1: part of America that you're supposed to love. Okay, the
- 39:24Speaker 1: President tweeted insults after Representative coming spoke out about the
- 39:28Speaker 1: horrible conditions at the southern border. Okay, however, we just
- 39:33Speaker 1: love this clapback has to go somewhere in the archives
- 39:39Speaker 1: of the greatest clapbacks of all time. Okay, Yes, the
- 39:43Speaker 1: Baltimore Sun newspaper, all right, they said we would tell
- 39:49Speaker 1: the most dishonest man to ever occupy the Oval office,
- 39:53Speaker 1: the mocker of war heroes, the gleeful grabber of women's
- 39:58Speaker 1: private parts, the real bankrupt of businesses, the useful idiot
- 40:03Speaker 1: of Latin Vladimir Putin, and the guy who insisted there
- 40:07Speaker 1: are good people among murderous neo Nazis, that he's still
- 40:12Speaker 1: not fooling most Americans into believing he's even slightly competent
- 40:16Speaker 1: in his current post or the yes, or that he
- 40:21Speaker 1: possesses a sintilla of integrity. Better to have some vermin
- 40:27Speaker 1: slash rat living in your neighborhood than to be one. Oh,
- 40:31Speaker 1: better to have him living in your neighborhood than to
- 40:33Speaker 1: be one. Yes, yes, and yes yes. Uh, that's yes.
- 40:41Speaker 1: That's how you do it. Wait, you say that word sentia.
- 40:46Speaker 1: I never heard that, but I know what. I can't
- 40:51Speaker 1: spell it, but I like hi. Oh yeah, so I come.
- 41:00Speaker 1: And the people of Baltimore. They don't deserve this. That's
- 41:02Speaker 1: part of America. This is crazy. We know somebody Frommore
- 41:09Speaker 1: He's just losing votes from cities that he talks about that.
- 41:12Speaker 1: I hope you're right, Jay, You're right. Okay, So here
- 41:17Speaker 1: we go again, Jay, Oh my god, another mass shooting.
- 41:20Speaker 1: This is crazy. This is unbelievable. Just like you said,
- 41:24Speaker 1: the president is so busy beefing with people and and
- 41:28Speaker 1: talking about the city of Baltimore, like you said about
- 41:32Speaker 1: gun control. There was a mass shooting in gil Roy
- 41:37Speaker 1: California at the gil Roy UH Garlic Festival. Um, people
- 41:42Speaker 1: were out there, did you see it? Jay? Multiple people,
- 41:45Speaker 1: all races. It's so crazy. There's no place you're safe.
- 41:50Speaker 1: There is no place that you can go right now.
- 41:54Speaker 1: Where you go, well, nobody's gonna get shot here. You
- 41:57Speaker 1: just cannot do that. It's just place you can go.
- 42:01Speaker 1: And here we are dealing with this gun shooting, and
- 42:04Speaker 1: there will be another one. You can bark my word,
- 42:06Speaker 1: I hate to say it. And thoughts and prayers are
- 42:09Speaker 1: not going to solve the problem. It's just not It's
- 42:12Speaker 1: just not gonna solve it. Right, multiple victims, our prayers,
- 42:18Speaker 1: you know, like you said, thoughts and prayers. But we
- 42:21Speaker 1: here at the Steve Harvey Morning Show, we are praying
- 42:24Speaker 1: for the victims, the families, and our congress people are leaders.
- 42:29Speaker 1: They need to do more than just say thoughts and prayers.
- 42:33Speaker 1: We elect you to do action. How many people have
- 42:37Speaker 1: to die? How many mass shootings do we have to have? Now?
- 42:41Speaker 1: Last night here we are again, is this is just unbelievable.
- 42:47Speaker 1: How many people have to die before we see action
- 42:51Speaker 1: from our leaders? How many? Jay? Well, the number is mindless.
- 42:56Speaker 1: The number is mindless. And like I said, you have.
- 42:59Speaker 1: You have senators and representatives who are just not who
- 43:04Speaker 1: just don't care. It is too easy to get a
- 43:06Speaker 1: gun in this country. It's too easy to get a
- 43:10Speaker 1: gun in this country. And until we do that, and
- 43:12Speaker 1: we're the only country that has this problem, yeah, I
- 43:15Speaker 1: mean a lot of the other countries don't have the
- 43:17Speaker 1: problem we have because you can just get a gun.
- 43:20Speaker 1: You can go to a gun show and buy a bazooka. Really, yeah,
- 43:25Speaker 1: why do you need that? Miss Anne did a news
- 43:28Speaker 1: report earlier. We'll try to get her back on the
- 43:30Speaker 1: show later on to give us another update as to
- 43:34Speaker 1: what is going on. You're listening to Steve Morning Show.
- 43:39Speaker 1: Coming up at the top of the hour, write about
- 43:41Speaker 1: four minutes after it's today's strawberry letter, I got a
- 43:44Speaker 1: good one for you. Today's subject I'm a cute Christian. Right, yeah,
- 43:50Speaker 1: we're gonna find that. Okay, But right now the nephew
- 43:54Speaker 1: in the building with today's praying phone call, what do
- 43:56Speaker 1: you have for us today? Nephew? What is it? Earlier?
- 44:00Speaker 1: Know what I thought about it longing? You know me
- 44:05Speaker 1: and you get rid of naked in a frame and
- 44:09Speaker 1: then I think probably the only thing you're gonna be
- 44:11Speaker 1: wearing your ring. The name of this prank is the ring.
- 44:21Speaker 1: The ring. It ain't naked in the ring. It's just
- 44:29Speaker 1: the ring, all right, cat doc, let's go running. It's
- 44:34Speaker 1: the ring. Hello. Hello, I'm trying to reach a den. Yes,
- 44:40Speaker 1: this is all right, it needs My name is Gavin.
- 44:42Speaker 1: I'm actually the head jeweler here diamond. How you doing.
- 44:46Speaker 1: I'm good. You brought your ring in what was it
- 44:49Speaker 1: last week? I actually wasn't here, but you gave it
- 44:51Speaker 1: to one of my sales persons, and yes, you wanted
- 44:54Speaker 1: to get it resized as well as getting a praise. Correct, yes, yes, yes,
- 44:59Speaker 1: and you don't have to him up on my own. Okay, wow, okay, listen,
- 45:06Speaker 1: I actually do the resize of the ring. And first
- 45:08Speaker 1: of all, let me be the first to say, um, congratulations.
- 45:12Speaker 1: When when is your wedding? Thank you, I'm getting married
- 45:14Speaker 1: and stuff. Come there. Well, congratulations to listen. I don't
- 45:18Speaker 1: know how to tell you this now as far as
- 45:20Speaker 1: your praiserless concern. I've looked at your ring over and
- 45:23Speaker 1: over and this ring is probably worth maybe fifty dollars.
- 45:29Speaker 1: Excuse me, I've been I've been in this business for
- 45:33Speaker 1: over twenty years. But you know what, I'm confused on
- 45:35Speaker 1: what you just said. And I understand that. What I'm
- 45:38Speaker 1: trying to explain to you is that I've been in
- 45:40Speaker 1: this business for over twenty years. I've seen so many
- 45:42Speaker 1: different pieces of jewelry. And this is something that you
- 45:45Speaker 1: that you buy late night on an infomercial for nineteen
- 45:49Speaker 1: ninety nine. This is a cubic Declonian stones and the
- 45:53Speaker 1: gold is not real at all. It's like, wait, wait, wait,
- 45:57Speaker 1: you lost me. You lost me as much money as
- 45:59Speaker 1: my can't make, and as much money as my father
- 46:02Speaker 1: is putting down on his wedding or has put down.
- 46:05Speaker 1: And you're gonna say, understand everything you're saying. But honest,
- 46:09Speaker 1: what I need you to do is hold on. Wait, no, no, no,
- 46:12Speaker 1: I need you to hold on because we need to
- 46:14Speaker 1: call victims. Wait. Wait man, First of all, I can't
- 46:18Speaker 1: wait wait wait, wait, wait, hold hold on because we
- 46:24Speaker 1: don't do you wait wait wait what are you trying
- 46:27Speaker 1: to what you're trying to do, sir? I need I
- 46:29Speaker 1: need you to repeat because what you just said to me, okay,
- 46:33Speaker 1: I need personal stuff man, you oh you hit it.
- 46:37Speaker 1: It's personal now. So I need you to hold on Okay,
- 46:41Speaker 1: oh she calling hu man Okay think think hello, Victim.
- 46:48Speaker 1: I wanted to listen to this Jela that's on the phone.
- 46:50Speaker 1: I want you to hit it that. He just told me, Hold,
- 46:52Speaker 1: what's what's the problem? But what you mean, what's the problem.
- 46:54Speaker 1: He's gonna tell you what the problem is. Gonna hit on, sir,
- 46:56Speaker 1: gonna hit on. Who? Hello, Yeah, who's this? My name
- 47:00Speaker 1: is Gavin. I'm from Diamonds. And actually your wife, I
- 47:04Speaker 1: mean where your fiance? Right? She brought her ring in
- 47:07Speaker 1: to actually be resized. Yeah, and we we also did
- 47:10Speaker 1: an appraisal on the ring for her, and actually the
- 47:14Speaker 1: ring is estimated to be only in the word to
- 47:17Speaker 1: around fifty dollars. Fifty dollars fifty, said sir. Obviously there's
- 47:26Speaker 1: some sort of mistakes, sir. Yeah, what you got to
- 47:28Speaker 1: say about fifty dollars, that's that's got to be some
- 47:31Speaker 1: kind of mistakes. But what'd you say? Your name was, sir?
- 47:34Speaker 1: My name is Gavin. I work here at Diamonds. I'm
- 47:36Speaker 1: the head jeweler here. I've been here for twenty years.
- 47:38Speaker 1: And there's there's no way that that ring is worth
- 47:42Speaker 1: fifty dollars. I know what I paid for it. So
- 47:44Speaker 1: obviously there's some sort of mistakes, because there's not a mistake.
- 47:47Speaker 1: I've been dealing with jury, I've seen it. I can
- 47:50Speaker 1: pretty much look at a ring, but I actually went
- 47:52Speaker 1: into detail on this one, as I do all of them,
- 47:55Speaker 1: and so I promise you this is probably maybe between
- 47:58Speaker 1: forty and fifty dollars before as workers. No, absolutely not.
- 48:02Speaker 1: That's that's impossible. How is that impossible. He's the jeweler.
- 48:05Speaker 1: You heard him say, he's been doing it for twenty
- 48:07Speaker 1: he's the highest. That impossible. I don't understand that all
- 48:10Speaker 1: the money that my dad is putting down on this
- 48:12Speaker 1: wedding and you're gonna pay fifty dollars cheap ring? No, no, no,
- 48:17Speaker 1: I did not buy a team. This is this is
- 48:20Speaker 1: this is obviously some kind of mistake. You didn't got it?
- 48:22Speaker 1: You show him that, right, You show got that right.
- 48:25Speaker 1: So what you got to say for yourself? Fifty dollar this?
- 48:28Speaker 1: You can't I believe that that's right. That's this is
- 48:31Speaker 1: obviously some kind of mistair. Oh, it is a mistake.
- 48:33Speaker 1: I'm mistaken me thinking I'm gonna get married to the
- 48:36Speaker 1: man of my dream. I do have the engagement ring
- 48:38Speaker 1: that was purchased and bought for your wife. No, I
- 48:41Speaker 1: don't think. I don't think you do. I don't think
- 48:42Speaker 1: you have my ring, because if you have my ring,
- 48:44Speaker 1: you wouldn't be telling me this works fifty dollars. I
- 48:47Speaker 1: have the ring that your wife brought his wife. Yet,
- 48:52Speaker 1: hold on, hold on, the man trying to explain. I'm
- 48:54Speaker 1: trying to get to the body. Okay, thank you, So
- 48:57Speaker 1: you have I don't think he has the right ring,
- 49:00Speaker 1: the right ring. And what I'm letting you know, sir,
- 49:02Speaker 1: is that this is something you buy on an infomercial
- 49:04Speaker 1: in the two occock in the morning on the home. Dude,
- 49:07Speaker 1: you know I ain't bott a damn ring on infomercial.
- 49:11Speaker 1: I bought the ring from a reputable establishment. I have
- 49:14Speaker 1: the receipt, I have the certificate. So obviously the mistake
- 49:18Speaker 1: is on your and where the mistakes now here? Search
- 49:20Speaker 1: you bought a piece of jumps. He's been doing it
- 49:23Speaker 1: all these years. How hell he's gonna make a mistake
- 49:25Speaker 1: where you come off telling me I bought a piece
- 49:28Speaker 1: of jump. I know what I bought. If there's any
- 49:29Speaker 1: mistakes that's been made, it's on your end world, where
- 49:32Speaker 1: it's not on my end. Yeah, hold don't don't rat
- 49:38Speaker 1: you want to think that my dad has paid too
- 49:40Speaker 1: much money for this wedding, But your doll's gonna pay
- 49:42Speaker 1: fifty dollars dollars when you wait till I tell him this, chill.
- 49:46Speaker 1: Hold on. First of all, I don't appreciate you. I
- 49:48Speaker 1: want to tell you this. This is a typical case
- 49:50Speaker 1: of you trying to put it off on us because
- 49:53Speaker 1: you bought a piece of un for fifty bucks money,
- 49:57Speaker 1: fifty dollars worth of a ring. Then he'se hold on,
- 49:59Speaker 1: let me talk to this. Where you gonna get us?
- 50:03Speaker 1: I never heard of it. So your wife knows exactly
- 50:07Speaker 1: where that she's the one that brought the ring. And
- 50:08Speaker 1: I'll tell you what. I'm gonna come down there to
- 50:11Speaker 1: see the ring that you're talking about. If it's not
- 50:13Speaker 1: the ring that I gave my girl, I'm gonna take
- 50:15Speaker 1: seventy six hundred dollars out of your because that's so.
- 50:19Speaker 1: Now you want to jump on me because you bought
- 50:22Speaker 1: your wife a pieces. Come on, you want to put
- 50:24Speaker 1: it on me? You you don't tell me what the
- 50:27Speaker 1: I don't know what the I spin on the ring
- 50:29Speaker 1: and you I don't kind of trying to pull. First
- 50:31Speaker 1: of all, I don't appreciate you coming in my household
- 50:33Speaker 1: trying to mess my and you want to come at
- 50:34Speaker 1: me with this one. I know the ring betta be real. No,
- 50:38Speaker 1: if I were you, miss de Niece, I would not
- 50:40Speaker 1: marry somebody that's gonna be I'm coming there. I'm looking
- 50:43Speaker 1: for your puppet. And you know what, you don't get
- 50:46Speaker 1: the ring in a right and you're gonna go at it?
- 50:48Speaker 1: Could I say one more thing to both of you?
- 50:49Speaker 1: Are better? I tell you what if they say did
- 50:51Speaker 1: I want to hear me? And you're gonna have some
- 50:53Speaker 1: more problems. This is Maphew tell me from the Steve
- 50:56Speaker 1: Harvin Morning Show. Y'all just got pranked by the nieces

- 53:13Speaker 1: just like just like we're gonna read this one right here,
- 53:16Speaker 1: right now. Come on, tell me buck im up and
- 53:19Speaker 1: hold on tight. We got it for you. Here it
- 53:21Speaker 1: is Strawberry letter. Subject I'm a cute Christian. I've never
- 53:26Speaker 1: heard that. I've never heard that before, but here we go.
- 53:29Speaker 1: Subject again, I'm a cute Christian. Here Stephen Shirley. I'm
- 53:34Speaker 1: a thirty two year old newly divorced mom of a
- 53:37Speaker 1: one year old child. I haven't dated in a long time,
- 53:40Speaker 1: so I decided an online Christian dating site instead of
- 53:44Speaker 1: suffering through blind dates and meeting losers whenever I'm out
- 53:47Speaker 1: with my girlfriend. I've been on the Christian dating site
- 53:50Speaker 1: a few months and I met a nice thirty nine
- 53:52Speaker 1: year old man. We've been chatting and talking for the
- 53:55Speaker 1: last month. We've exchanged several pictures since we met, and
- 53:59Speaker 1: he has yet to compliment me on my looks. I'm
- 54:04Speaker 1: not sure if there is a physical attraction for him,
- 54:07Speaker 1: because he hasn't said anything. Now I know I am
- 54:10Speaker 1: a beautiful woman, and all of my male friends tell
- 54:13Speaker 1: me I am gorgeous and I won't be single for long.
- 54:16Speaker 1: I have lost all of my baby weight and I'm
- 54:19Speaker 1: slender with a great shape. I am not insecure about
- 54:23Speaker 1: my looks at all, but I can't understand why he's
- 54:27Speaker 1: choosing to overlook my looks. He has complimented me on
- 54:30Speaker 1: my dedication to my Christian values, how I'm raising my
- 54:34Speaker 1: child as a single mom, and the fact that I
- 54:37Speaker 1: have a great job, my own home, and a nice car,
- 54:41Speaker 1: but never anything about my looks, my hair, my smile,
- 54:46Speaker 1: things nothing. I would hope that he's into me as
- 54:50Speaker 1: much as I'm into him, because we seem to be compatible,
- 54:54Speaker 1: but you can really can you really be compatible if
- 54:57Speaker 1: there's no physical attraction? Could it be that he does
- 55:00Speaker 1: think I'm beautiful but doesn't want to tell me just yet.
- 55:04Speaker 1: I don't have time to play mind games with anyone
- 55:06Speaker 1: that I meet, So should I just come out and
- 55:08Speaker 1: ask him I'm a cute Christian, whether he's see either
- 55:12Speaker 1: it or not. Again, I've never heard anyone say I'm
- 55:15Speaker 1: a cute Christian, But so I gotta tell you this.
- 55:20Speaker 1: If you know you're attractive or cute, as you say
- 55:22Speaker 1: in the letter, and that all your male friends tell
- 55:25Speaker 1: you you're cute and you won't be single for long
- 55:27Speaker 1: and all of that, Well, what more do you need?
- 55:29Speaker 1: I mean, you don't even know this man, right, so
- 55:33Speaker 1: why do you need validation from him? You say you're
- 55:36Speaker 1: not insecure, but this letter reeks of insecurity to me.
- 55:40Speaker 1: I mean, that's so important to you for him to
- 55:42Speaker 1: compliment you on your looks. Was your husband that you divorced,
- 55:46Speaker 1: he not compliment you on your looks? You didn't mention that.
- 55:49Speaker 1: Is this something? It sounds like it's something you really need,
- 55:51Speaker 1: and that reeks of insecurity as far as I'm concerned.
- 55:56Speaker 1: You look in the mirror, you passed by the mirror,
- 55:58Speaker 1: you know what you look like. You know if you're
- 56:00Speaker 1: an attractive woman. You say you've lost your baby weight,
- 56:03Speaker 1: you know you got your figure back and all of that.
- 56:06Speaker 1: So you don't need validation from this man. Now, remember
- 56:09Speaker 1: this is a Christian site and he's complimenting you on
- 56:13Speaker 1: Christian things. Okay, what's wrong with him complimenting you on
- 56:18Speaker 1: your dedication to your Christian values, how you're raising your
- 56:21Speaker 1: child as a single, single mom, and the fact that
- 56:24Speaker 1: you have a great job and you're accomplished. That's really nice.
- 56:28Speaker 1: But he never says anything about your looks. You say,
- 56:30Speaker 1: he never says anything about your smile. Now, men are visual,
- 56:34Speaker 1: they are very visual. They like, you know, a beautiful woman.
- 56:38Speaker 1: That's no secret with anyone. I don't think men are
- 56:41Speaker 1: very visual. Maybe he wants to wait until you guys
- 56:44Speaker 1: meet in person to tell you how gorgeous you are
- 56:47Speaker 1: or something like that. I think you should play this out.
- 56:50Speaker 1: I don't think you should rush to judgment just because
- 56:52Speaker 1: he hasn't said anything like that. If you already know,
- 56:55Speaker 1: you're confident, I'm going to tell you something that makes
- 56:57Speaker 1: you even more beautiful. And that's interview beauty, and that's
- 57:00Speaker 1: and that's confidence. Okay, that's what a lot of men
- 57:03Speaker 1: are attracted to, not just your outer beauty. So don't
- 57:07Speaker 1: let your insecurity start showing. Because he hasn't said. A
- 57:10Speaker 1: man that you met online hasn't said that you look good.
- 57:13Speaker 1: That's coming. If you look good and all of that,
- 57:16Speaker 1: it's going to come. You don't even have to worry
- 57:18Speaker 1: about that. Junior, Wait, well, I believe go ahead, brother,
- 57:26Speaker 1: I don't know what to say about this letter. But yeah,
- 57:30Speaker 1: I have to own this one. He had tim me
- 57:33Speaker 1: because you're a Christian, because I'm a Christian, all right, Yeah,
- 57:37Speaker 1: I'm and she's a Christiane. No, it's two things happening here. See.
- 57:43Speaker 1: Either you dating the blind man, Oh you're just not cute.
- 57:49Speaker 1: See that's today's title of a sermon. Either you dating
- 57:52Speaker 1: the blind man, Oh you just not cute. Well, I'm
- 57:57Speaker 1: gonna tell you why I say that. If you just
- 57:59Speaker 1: don't get right to it. Imma tell you why I
- 58:00Speaker 1: say that, because because men don't wait long to say
- 58:05Speaker 1: what they really see. Men don't wait long to say
- 58:10Speaker 1: what they really see. See. If you fine, I'm gonna
- 58:14Speaker 1: say fine. See if you're attractive, I'm gonna say you attractive.
- 58:19Speaker 1: Come on, come this man sit here with you. The
- 58:21Speaker 1: whole time, I ain't mentioned it. They either he blind
- 58:25Speaker 1: or you just not cute. But I tell you, Christian,
- 58:27Speaker 1: I did see. I see a conceited Christian. I'm not
- 58:33Speaker 1: sure if you're cute, but I know there's a materialistic Christian.
- 58:36Speaker 1: I'm not saying that you're got cute, but your show
- 58:39Speaker 1: is a enough of sticks, low self esteem Christian. Yeah,
- 58:42Speaker 1: I don't know about this, but you need validation Christian.
- 58:47Speaker 1: You are an attention seeking Christian. You a date site Christian.
- 58:52Speaker 1: You need somebody to help you. Woman, I'm just gonna
- 58:54Speaker 1: put a tea like this. Come on, you're gonna mess
- 58:56Speaker 1: around a look who's a good man? Because you won't
- 59:00Speaker 1: to be seen? See? What about your inter beauty? Does
- 59:03Speaker 1: that exist? Are you're a cooking Christian? Because we need
- 59:05Speaker 1: a lot of them out here. I was with you
- 59:09Speaker 1: until you said that, Are you a house seen? Didn't
- 59:11Speaker 1: you not a cooking Christian? Yamen, you'll took a fence
- 59:16Speaker 1: because that's what you're knocked. But there are other Christians
- 59:18Speaker 1: you could beat. How about you a house cleaning Christian?
- 59:21Speaker 1: Can you do that? Can you keep a clean car? Christian?
- 59:24Speaker 1: Can you do that? Can you fall to finished sheet? Christian? Man?
- 59:28Speaker 1: Can you beat that? For me? That's the Christian I need.
- 59:32Speaker 1: I'll take my seat, all right, all right, we'll have
- 59:36Speaker 1: part two of the Strawberry Letter subject I'm a cute Christian.
- 59:40Speaker 1: I've never heard that before. That's coming up in twenty
- 59:42Speaker 1: three after the hour. We also got to hear from
- 59:44Speaker 1: Jay and the Nephew right after this. You're listening to
- 59:49Speaker 1: Steve Show. All right, here we go part two of
- 59:52Speaker 1: this strawberry letter. Let's recap, shall we subject. I'm a
- 59:55Speaker 1: cute Christian thirty two year old newly divorced woman Rode
- 59:58Speaker 1: and she has a one year old child. She is
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: in data in a long time, so she went on
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: a Christian online dating site. She met a really nice
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: thirty nine year old man. She says. They've been chatting
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: it up and talking for about the last month. They've
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: exchanged pictures and all of that stuff. Never once has
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: he commented on her looks. And this is concerning for her.
- 1:00:19Speaker 1: Taken aback because she wants him to say how beautiful
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: and fine and cute she is, because she thinks she's
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: a cute Christian. She says she's not insecure about her looks,
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: though she says that right here in the letter. She says,
- 1:00:32Speaker 1: she's the Christian that she met online has complimented her
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: on everything her how her Christian values her, the fact
- 1:00:40Speaker 1: that she's a good mom and etc. Etc. But nothing
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: on her physical attraction or about her looks, her hair,
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: or her smile. She says, should she just come out
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: and ask him? She says she's a cute Christian, whether
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: he sees it or not. Jay, what you guy? I
- 1:00:56Speaker 1: just want to continue with brother Junior left home because
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: if you read the Bible, and I've read some of it,
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: not all of it, I have not read the whole thing.
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: I ain't tell you a lie that I read it all.
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: But I know for effect from talking to preachings, that
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: the word cute ain't in the bottle the Bible at all.
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: God never said sudden such was cute, or sudden such
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: was fine, or sudden had long babyweight. But it does
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: speak to the ugly. Now, I'll tell you what the
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: Bible says ugly, because it doesn't say the word ugly.
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: It says tender. If the other tender, that means they're
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: not good to look at it. So as long as
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: He had not said you are not tender I, which
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: means ugly. If you don't understand, like I said, I
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: ain't read all the Bible, I won't confess that I
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: ain't read at all. I'm not preaching to you that
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: I read everything in the But but and maybe just
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: maybe he used to people shoot up in you. You
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: know what I'm saying. That's all I'm saying. You are
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: you are not tender. I ain't. I ain't read all
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: the babble. Let me just say that you might be
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: able to thumb do that and see what I'm wrong.
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: But I ain't read it at all. Well, I'm preaching
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: for what I read and what I know. He has
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: not said you are tender, I meaning ugly. So as
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: long as he ain't said that, it sounds like to me,
- 1:02:29Speaker 1: I swell. I ain't read all the Bible. Read a
- 1:02:31Speaker 1: lot of it, read a lot of it. We get
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: it past. I read a lot of it, but I
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: ain't read it all now, and they are people out
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: there who read it all. I'm not that guy. But
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: you got a church in your but But as long
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: as he has not said you are not tender, I
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: you have Okay, Okay, Now, don't mess up a good
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: thing just because you think you're cute. Maybe just maybe
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: he used to somebody cute it than you, and that's
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: all you had to go by. And that's all you
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: had to go by, the fact that he had not
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: said that. I'm thumbing through the Bible right now and
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: I'm looking at watching the word cute in it. It
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: says fearlessly and wonderfully made yeah. Yes, it's a great
- 1:03:17Speaker 1: book and one day, one day I will read it all.
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: But I had I'm coming to you, all right, thank you.
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: I got to say about that. All right, Come on us,
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: Come on, bast Tommy. I'm gonna try to straighten this
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: thing out, close it out. Since we're preaching this thing,
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: and I didn't know that's what we were doing. But
- 1:03:42Speaker 1: since we're doing it, and then that that that that
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: what we're doing. I'm gonna use today's text as you
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: are and ugly Christian with a beautiful spirit. Huh, all right,
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: one more time. You are a ugly Christian with a
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: beautiful spirit. Now take it from a handsome, sexy Christian,
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: because that's what I am. You know what I'm saying.
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: And I yeah, I'm I am a handsome and sexy Christian.
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: You know. I when you see me, when you when
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: when you see me, I make you uh slava all
- 1:04:33Speaker 1: over yourself. I'm that kind of sexy Christian when you
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: see me. Wow, you know you make more chestnuts, say
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: boy moved. Let me try to get the time when
- 1:04:43Speaker 1: you see me like that, I'm that sexy kind of Christie.
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: And you know I'm saying, when you see me. You
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: make your mard more boy if you don't get out
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: from in front of time. And when you see me,
- 1:04:58Speaker 1: when you see how sex I'm really you, that's because
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: that's the kind of sexy whome I transgress. That's the
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: kind of the kind of the kind of sexy that
- 1:05:08Speaker 1: is within me. We'll see you, you, you ugly Christian. Uh,
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: we gotta go. You can email us your Instagram. You
- 1:05:15Speaker 1: cud final your thoughts on Today's Strawberry Letter Steve Harvey FM,
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: and you can check out the Strawberry Letter podcast on
- 1:05:24Speaker 1: demand now. Coming up at forty six after the hour,
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: an update on Jay Anthony Brown and will tell you
- 1:05:29Speaker 1: about his big cancer fundraiser that you can be a
- 1:05:33Speaker 1: part of. Coming up right after this. You're listening to
- 1:05:36Speaker 1: the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Jay, you announced, uh, several
- 1:05:41Speaker 1: weeks ago that you have leukemia. Of course dealing with it,
- 1:05:44Speaker 1: dealing with it. Yeah, And I gotta say, you're a trooper.
- 1:05:48Speaker 1: You're here every day. You have the right attitude. So Jay,
- 1:05:52Speaker 1: what we want to know now is, um, give us
- 1:05:54Speaker 1: an update? What do what have you done for Lukemi?
- 1:05:57Speaker 1: Not what I want? You gonna sit there and try
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: to make it sad. All right, what have you done
- 1:06:03Speaker 1: me for luke kemen? First, first of all, I'm paying
- 1:06:06Speaker 1: for these treatments, so I've done that for lukemya. But
- 1:06:09Speaker 1: anyway I've got I've gone through for UM. For leukemia treatments.
- 1:06:17Speaker 1: You take one a month and then after that you
- 1:06:19Speaker 1: take a cleansing each week, so they kind of clean
- 1:06:22Speaker 1: all the keimo out and get all the bad stuff out.
- 1:06:25Speaker 1: And I'm doing gready haven't lost any of my hair,
- 1:06:27Speaker 1: But if I lose my hair, I'm ready for that.
- 1:06:29Speaker 1: I got a lace front mustash on hold so ignorant
- 1:06:34Speaker 1: whenever that happens. Yeah, lace front mustad. Yeah, oh ladies
- 1:06:41Speaker 1: can wear lace front hair. But I put on a munstad.
- 1:06:44Speaker 1: I'm the bad guy. But anyway, on this Tuesday night,
- 1:06:49Speaker 1: which is tomorrow, that we're having a fundraisor that I've
- 1:06:51Speaker 1: hooked up with the Cancer Society and We're having a
- 1:06:54Speaker 1: fundraiser at the Jay Spot. All of the money, all
- 1:06:58Speaker 1: of the money that I'm gonna take up that night,
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: it goes to the cancer research. And so tell me
- 1:07:02Speaker 1: that answer your question. What am I doing for lukemia?
- 1:07:06Speaker 1: Or so I'm getting tired off. I'm a comics to
- 1:07:10Speaker 1: come out and do some time. And I really want
- 1:07:12Speaker 1: people who are cancer survivors, not only cancer survivors, but
- 1:07:15Speaker 1: family members who are dealing with people with cancer, because
- 1:07:18Speaker 1: that's a whole different thing too, not just that you
- 1:07:21Speaker 1: don't just deal with cancer by yourself. Your family goes
- 1:07:24Speaker 1: through it too. So I want everybody to come out
- 1:07:26Speaker 1: and have a good time. And you know, all the
- 1:07:28Speaker 1: jokes ain't gonna be by cancer, so don't come and
- 1:07:30Speaker 1: thank all we're doing jokes by cancer. But come out
- 1:07:33Speaker 1: tomorrow night to Jay Spot. That's gonna be my Taco Tuesday.
- 1:07:35Speaker 1: Please come out and support and comics that want to
- 1:07:37Speaker 1: come in and dump in and do a set. Please
- 1:07:40Speaker 1: stop by you. You have the best spirit, brother, you
- 1:07:46Speaker 1: have a fighter baby doing. I have to say this
- 1:07:49Speaker 1: for people who are going through it, they're good days
- 1:07:51Speaker 1: and bad days. Most of the days i'm here, it's
- 1:07:53Speaker 1: a really good day. So I have bad days. And
- 1:07:56Speaker 1: I don't think anybody who goes to anything like this
- 1:07:58Speaker 1: would definitely have good days and bad days. But I
- 1:08:00Speaker 1: have more good days. Yeah, bad days, and you haven't missed.
- 1:08:04Speaker 1: I mean Jay calls us when he's having the drip,
- 1:08:08Speaker 1: we'll be talking and laughing on the phone. Okay, okay, okay, Jay,
- 1:08:12Speaker 1: don't call me doing the drip. I don't know what
- 1:08:14Speaker 1: to say. Okay, I'm not drip ready. You don't even
- 1:08:20Speaker 1: know he in the right drip. You gotta tell me
- 1:08:28Speaker 1: ahead of time. You won't even know it. Tommy my man.
- 1:08:34Speaker 1: All right, Jay, thank you so much. Coming up at
- 1:08:36Speaker 1: the top of the hour, players are back at NFL
- 1:08:40Speaker 1: training camp. Junior yea plus running back Adrian Peterson is
- 1:08:45Speaker 1: he's broke. That happened. Oh my god. We'll talk about
- 1:08:50Speaker 1: it right after that. You're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:08:56Speaker 1: All right, Junior, So I didn't know this. According to ESPN,
- 1:09:00Speaker 1: and Adrian Peterson is one of the best running backs
- 1:09:02Speaker 1: of his generation. Yeah, he'll probably be in the Pro
- 1:09:06Speaker 1: Football Hall of Fame. He has made nearly one hundred
- 1:09:09Speaker 1: million dollars during his career, but that doesn't mean he's
- 1:09:13Speaker 1: set for life. And we're talking not even close, Junior.
- 1:09:18Speaker 1: He said he's deep in debt and he's being sued
- 1:09:21Speaker 1: for failing to repay a five point two million dollars loan.
- 1:09:25Speaker 1: It seems he trusted the wrong people with his money
- 1:09:27Speaker 1: and he's now paying the price along the way he
- 1:09:29Speaker 1: has taken advance, He's been taken advantage of by those
- 1:09:32Speaker 1: he trusted. He's now pretty much broke. He made one
- 1:09:35Speaker 1: hundred million dollars over his entire career. Yeah, I don't
- 1:09:37Speaker 1: even know how you get how how A lot of
- 1:09:40Speaker 1: times these lifestyles, these players have many they have some
- 1:09:43Speaker 1: extravagant lifestyle. We'll see you got you got trusted wrong people. Yeah,
- 1:09:49Speaker 1: and you can lose your money that fast? Wow? Wow?
- 1:09:53Speaker 1: But and there's nothing you can do though, huh, because
- 1:09:56Speaker 1: they're the ones that put you in debt. I guess
- 1:09:59Speaker 1: depends what Just like that? Yeah, you think your taxes
- 1:10:05Speaker 1: and paying your dad's and you're just writing checks and
- 1:10:09Speaker 1: spending your money and you're not keeping your eye out
- 1:10:11Speaker 1: on't where your money is gone? I mean, huh. Wasn't
- 1:10:15Speaker 1: that Wesley's issue with his taxes? Somebody else was actually
- 1:10:18Speaker 1: supposed to be taking care of it. But the same issue.
- 1:10:20Speaker 1: I'm not sure. Yeah, I don't remember exactly, but it
- 1:10:23Speaker 1: could have he just refused to pay his taxes. No, No,
- 1:10:27Speaker 1: he wasn't like that. He wasn't like wasn't it was
- 1:10:30Speaker 1: an issue of somebody that he thought his stuff was
- 1:10:33Speaker 1: being taken care of. I wasn't. But you know what,
- 1:10:36Speaker 1: getting back to the sports guys, it's like they these
- 1:10:40Speaker 1: guys are young, they get recruited very early. They have
- 1:10:45Speaker 1: no knowledge of money and finance and economics, and none
- 1:10:48Speaker 1: of them do they teach any of that. I know,
- 1:10:50Speaker 1: I supposed Rook can't teach them about how to handle
- 1:10:55Speaker 1: that money. Yeah, they have like a meeting before a meeting,
- 1:11:00Speaker 1: but your whole life has been that one meeting does not. Yeah, no,
- 1:11:05Speaker 1: it's not. Your whole life has been lived this one way.
- 1:11:07Speaker 1: Then you get all these millions, and then you're supposed
- 1:11:10Speaker 1: to make that adjustment like that. No, you need more
- 1:11:13Speaker 1: than one players. It's entertainers. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. I mean,
- 1:11:20Speaker 1: you know, I'm gonna take my hundred million and I
- 1:11:22Speaker 1: don't care. I'm not. I'm being out h and r block.
- 1:11:25Speaker 1: I'm filing down now with the hunted meal. I don't know.
- 1:11:34Speaker 1: We're talking about taxes and all kinds of stuff, but
- 1:11:38Speaker 1: if you're spending it. And then the thing about the
- 1:11:40Speaker 1: NFL too. Atrian Peterson, he was hurt at one point, right, Yeah,
- 1:11:43Speaker 1: he was hurt. There's some issues about you don't get
- 1:11:46Speaker 1: the money when you're hurt in the NFL. So maybe
- 1:11:49Speaker 1: there's been a pause between the money coming in. I'm
- 1:11:52Speaker 1: not sure. I'm just saying that it's a lot that
- 1:11:56Speaker 1: goes on. You just got to keep your eye money,
- 1:12:00Speaker 1: you know that. But you know what, they all need
- 1:12:02Speaker 1: a They need a mentor when they come back. Yes,
- 1:12:05Speaker 1: they need somebody that's going to guide them through and
- 1:12:07Speaker 1: show them the dudes. And don't people like a people
- 1:12:11Speaker 1: like a prime time you know what I'm saying. D
- 1:12:14Speaker 1: can tell you the dudes, and don't when you come
- 1:12:17Speaker 1: into the NFL, you see these big dollars in your
- 1:12:19Speaker 1: eyes get big. You gotta have somebody in your ears said, man,
- 1:12:23Speaker 1: if you don't put this money over here, and this
- 1:12:25Speaker 1: is the money that you live off of, that's how
- 1:12:27Speaker 1: you got to live your life. Because if not, at
- 1:12:29Speaker 1: the end, when you look back after you didn't play
- 1:12:31Speaker 1: teen years, you can look back and say, I have
- 1:12:34Speaker 1: nothing dollars money that the RS can't touch. That really
- 1:12:40Speaker 1: is I mean, you don't have to really like put
- 1:12:42Speaker 1: it in a in a different country, but you can
- 1:12:45Speaker 1: do it. It can be done. But I know a
- 1:12:47Speaker 1: lot of ball players, my husband's friends, a lot a
- 1:12:49Speaker 1: lot of ball players and I know a lot of
- 1:12:51Speaker 1: them live at a minimum when they're playing, and then
- 1:12:55Speaker 1: when they retire they live their lifestyle the way that
- 1:12:58Speaker 1: they want to be because they were being smart about
- 1:13:02Speaker 1: their money when they were making it. Because you can
- 1:13:03Speaker 1: get an injury, you could get hurt. Your career can
- 1:13:06Speaker 1: end just like that. So you gotta think about the
- 1:13:09Speaker 1: future and your body. What your body, yeah, physically can
- 1:13:13Speaker 1: handle you know later on, So you ain't gonna be
- 1:13:16Speaker 1: able to make this money fun go broke after two
- 1:13:19Speaker 1: years out of the league. Yeah, that's I remember it
- 1:13:25Speaker 1: was true in boxing, right, you know, yeah, you know, yeah,
- 1:13:30Speaker 1: this is just crazy. All right, Well, thank you guys.
- 1:13:33Speaker 1: Um coming up next, more music, more fun, more craziness
- 1:13:37Speaker 1: with the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Right after this you're
- 1:13:40Speaker 1: listening to. Well, a lot of NFL players had reported
- 1:13:47Speaker 1: to NFL training camp. They did that last week. So, Junior,
- 1:13:50Speaker 1: what do you think we can expect from this year's
- 1:13:52Speaker 1: football season? What I can see right now the Patriots repeating, Hey, man, hey,
- 1:14:03Speaker 1: what you want me to say? Ain't they champs? Now?
- 1:14:07Speaker 1: You got to give him that at least? Now? Does
- 1:14:11Speaker 1: does Cleveland look like? Man? How they look? I'm scary?
- 1:14:15Speaker 1: By Cleveland. Man that the win total for them is
- 1:14:19Speaker 1: nine o the over one hundred and nine even gonna
- 1:14:21Speaker 1: win nine games over. That's what you can bet on
- 1:14:23Speaker 1: right now in Vegas on Cleveland. But they look really good, man,
- 1:14:26Speaker 1: they have They have some solid pieces. You have old
- 1:14:30Speaker 1: Odell Beckham Junior, didn't you, Juco. Then they added the
- 1:14:34Speaker 1: boy out of Minnesota to play d line next to
- 1:14:36Speaker 1: Miles Scarytt. They have all the people and Kareem Hunt
- 1:14:42Speaker 1: and he's got to serve at eight game suspension. But
- 1:14:44Speaker 1: once that's over, that's in the middle season. If they
- 1:14:46Speaker 1: an'twhere in the hunt and Kareem Hunt comes back, they
- 1:14:48Speaker 1: got a shot man of making the playoffs. Man, when
- 1:14:50Speaker 1: the FC lord, excuse me, Junior, sin Celta's not play
- 1:14:53Speaker 1: play correct you on that, Zela? I believe her? Ah
- 1:15:01Speaker 1: her was Denzel, That's no, there isn't. I begged different
- 1:15:10Speaker 1: with all of you on this this credit. Thank you, Carla,
- 1:15:16Speaker 1: no no, no, click, sir. Trying to find all right
- 1:15:23Speaker 1: more of the Steve Robby Morning Show coming up at
- 1:15:25Speaker 1: thirty three after the hour. You're listening to all right
- 1:15:30Speaker 1: so and trending political news guys. President Trump is at
- 1:15:34Speaker 1: it again, what is wrong with him? He tweeted some
- 1:15:38Speaker 1: I mean disgusting, some horrible insult and attacks about Representative
- 1:15:43Speaker 1: Elijah Cummings and his congressional district in the city of Baltimore.
- 1:15:49Speaker 1: This is what President Donald J. Trump tweeted. No human
- 1:15:54Speaker 1: being would want to live there. It is a very
- 1:15:56Speaker 1: dangerous and filthy place. It is a disgust rat and
- 1:16:01Speaker 1: roten infested mess. The president tweeted insults after a representative
- 1:16:06Speaker 1: coming spoke out about the horrible conditions at the southern border. Okay,
- 1:16:11Speaker 1: this is crazy. We know somebody. He's just losing votes
- 1:16:15Speaker 1: from cities that he talks about. I hope you're right, Jay. Okay,
- 1:16:22Speaker 1: so here we go again, Jay, Oh my god. Another
- 1:16:25Speaker 1: mass shooting. This is crazy. This is unbelievable. Just like
- 1:16:28Speaker 1: you said, the President is so busy beefing with people
- 1:16:33Speaker 1: and and talking about the city of Baltimore. Like you
- 1:16:37Speaker 1: said about gun control. There was a mass shooting in
- 1:16:42Speaker 1: gil Roy, California, at the gil Roy uh Garlic Festival. Um,
- 1:16:48Speaker 1: people were out there, did you see it, Jay? Multiple people,
- 1:16:51Speaker 1: all races. It's so crazy. There's no place you're safe.
- 1:16:57Speaker 1: There is no place that you can go right now,
- 1:17:01Speaker 1: we go, well, nobody's gonna get shot here. You just
- 1:17:04Speaker 1: cannot do that. It's just no place you can go.
- 1:17:07Speaker 1: And here we are dealing with this gun shooting, and
- 1:17:10Speaker 1: there'll be another one. You can bank. My word, I
- 1:17:13Speaker 1: hate to say it. And thoughts and prayers are not
- 1:17:16Speaker 1: going to solve the problem. It's not. It's just not
- 1:17:19Speaker 1: gonna solve it. Right, multiple victims, our prayers, you know,
- 1:17:25Speaker 1: like you said, thoughts and prayers. But we here at
- 1:17:28Speaker 1: the Steve Harvey Morning Show, we are praying for the victims,
- 1:17:32Speaker 1: the families, and our congress people are leaders. They need
- 1:17:36Speaker 1: to do more than just say thoughts and prayers. We
- 1:17:40Speaker 1: elect you to do action. How many people have to die?
- 1:17:45Speaker 1: How many mass shootings do we have to have? Now?
- 1:17:48Speaker 1: Last night here we are again, is this is just unbelievable.
- 1:17:54Speaker 1: How many people have to die before we see action
- 1:17:59Speaker 1: from our leaders? How many? Jay, Well, the number is mindless.
- 1:18:04Speaker 1: The number is mindless. And like I said, you have
- 1:18:07Speaker 1: you have senators and representatives who are just not who
- 1:18:11Speaker 1: just don't care. It is too easy to get a
- 1:18:14Speaker 1: gun in this country. It's too easy to get a
- 1:18:18Speaker 1: gun in this country. And until we do that, and
- 1:18:20Speaker 1: we're the only country that has this problem. Yeah, I
- 1:18:23Speaker 1: mean a lot of the other countries don't have the
- 1:18:25Speaker 1: problem we have because you can just get a gun.
- 1:18:28Speaker 1: You can go to a gun show and buy a bazuka.
- 1:18:32Speaker 1: Really yeah, why do you need that? All right, we'll
- 1:18:36Speaker 1: have more of the Steve Harvey Morning Show right after this.
- 1:18:39Speaker 1: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right,
- 1:18:42Speaker 1: here we are. It's been a good Monday, as always. Yes,
- 1:18:46Speaker 1: it's been fun. It's been fun. What a day day day? Well, uh, Jay,
- 1:18:54Speaker 1: we gotta get to you. And what have we learned today? Well,
- 1:18:58Speaker 1: you've been listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Why
- 1:19:01Speaker 1: the Boss is the Way and what we've been doing
- 1:19:03Speaker 1: lately is what have you learned today? We go around
- 1:19:05Speaker 1: the room and each person tells each of us is
- 1:19:08Speaker 1: that right? Others the work, it'll work? What did they
- 1:19:13Speaker 1: learn today? We always start with Shelley Strongbaby since it's
- 1:19:16Speaker 1: her birthday yesterday, belated birthday. What did you learn today? Well? Jay,
- 1:19:23Speaker 1: thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you. I learned
- 1:19:26Speaker 1: that I have a lot of love on this show,
- 1:19:28Speaker 1: and I appreciate that very very much. You know, you
- 1:19:31Speaker 1: guys know I get sentimental sometimes, but I love you
- 1:19:35Speaker 1: guys very much, and I thank you for all the
- 1:19:37Speaker 1: well wishes and all the love you guys sent me yesterday.
- 1:19:40Speaker 1: It makes me feel good, of course, of course it does,
- 1:19:43Speaker 1: because I love love and I appreciate you guys. And
- 1:19:45Speaker 1: I hope you know that that's from the heart. Huh.
- 1:19:50Speaker 1: And I know, yeah you did, Tommy, you did. You
- 1:19:53Speaker 1: sent me a great picture of us at the hoodies
- 1:19:56Speaker 1: um years ago, laughing our butts off, probably something Steve
- 1:20:01Speaker 1: said as host. We were laughing, laughing, laughing. That was good.
- 1:20:05Speaker 1: Uh my girl, Carla, we had great conversation. Great. I
- 1:20:08Speaker 1: mean we talked for what two hours? Oh? Yeah, that's good.
- 1:20:13Speaker 1: That's yeah. Yeah, we had a really good conversation. Uh men,
- 1:20:18Speaker 1: can we talk? I can't talk to him, man, No,
- 1:20:20Speaker 1: I can't. Wow, that's you can't talk to two hours
- 1:20:25Speaker 1: and I don't talk to listen, let's be clear, I
- 1:20:28Speaker 1: don't talk to everyone for two hours. We we have
- 1:20:31Speaker 1: to mean something to each other. We even don't even
- 1:20:35Speaker 1: get the phone. I got a lot of it. But
- 1:20:40Speaker 1: that's what I learned, you know. I mean, we've been
- 1:20:43Speaker 1: together for a long time and they're still loving the room.
- 1:20:45Speaker 1: And I appreciate it, and I love you guys right
- 1:20:48Speaker 1: right back. You know, Shirley will cry at the wind change.
- 1:20:51Speaker 1: That is not true. I'm not a crier, but I
- 1:20:55Speaker 1: do feel things. I'm not condon died, just kick out.
- 1:21:01Speaker 1: I might tear up, but they don't actually fall. How
- 1:21:05Speaker 1: you feel? Sure? I feel good? Actually I feel yeah,
- 1:21:09Speaker 1: I feel really good. I mean, you know, I have
- 1:21:11Speaker 1: to be feeling myself a little bit. If I wore
- 1:21:13Speaker 1: a shirt with my belly out yesterday, it's on the
- 1:21:18Speaker 1: gram if you want to see it. Yeah, but just
- 1:21:22Speaker 1: about them, just about an inch. You can just see
- 1:21:24Speaker 1: a little little bit of skin. That's all. I try
- 1:21:27Speaker 1: to be at least age appropriate, fashionable, but age appropriate,
- 1:21:31Speaker 1: you know, just just fun and and and an inspiration
- 1:21:34Speaker 1: to you know, there are a lot of younger women
- 1:21:36Speaker 1: out there, and you know that appreciate what I try
- 1:21:41Speaker 1: to bring every morning, you know, in terms of and
- 1:21:44Speaker 1: I want to be an example. I want to be
- 1:21:45Speaker 1: an example. So I know what. Thank you, of course,
- 1:21:50Speaker 1: look good. Thank you guys, Thank you guys. You have
- 1:21:54Speaker 1: it on what did you learn today? I learned what
- 1:21:59Speaker 1: I already knew, that we love us some. Shirley Strawberry
- 1:22:02Speaker 1: on her birthday day after her birthday. And number two,
- 1:22:06Speaker 1: let me tell you the other thing I've learned today.
- 1:22:08Speaker 1: You know, I got a couple of lessons here. I
- 1:22:10Speaker 1: learned how much I love the city of Baltimore. Yeah, okay,
- 1:22:15Speaker 1: so taking that Trump, ye be more represent be love
- 1:22:22Speaker 1: us some baltime. Yes, in spite of what our crazy
- 1:22:25Speaker 1: president said to lead to lead the league. Yes, there
- 1:22:31Speaker 1: you go, a junior. What are you learned today? Man? Well,
- 1:22:33Speaker 1: first of all, happy birthday again, Shirley, and I really
- 1:22:36Speaker 1: do love you so much. Thank you for being the
- 1:22:39Speaker 1: big sis. I've never had somebody who can keep you
- 1:22:41Speaker 1: from jumping off a cliff sometime. Yes, but I also
- 1:22:45Speaker 1: learned that one hundred million dollars in Adrian Peters had
- 1:22:47Speaker 1: that gone. That's a lesson for me to learn, you know,
- 1:22:50Speaker 1: about about how to handle my hundred me when I
- 1:22:52Speaker 1: get because there you go. Yeah, because I get a hundred,
- 1:22:56Speaker 1: I'm not going to give nobody. I don't care how
- 1:22:58Speaker 1: much it is. I'm not giving it to you. You
- 1:22:59Speaker 1: can take me. I didn't show me where to put it,
- 1:23:01Speaker 1: but I'm not gonna hand to check over to you.
- 1:23:04Speaker 1: I'm not gonna do that. You know, I'm not gonna
- 1:23:06Speaker 1: do that, you know. I mean we seriously for a moment,
- 1:23:09Speaker 1: we as African Americans growing up black in our households
- 1:23:13Speaker 1: and things like that, that money and managing money, economics
- 1:23:17Speaker 1: and all that, we were not taught that. So we
- 1:23:19Speaker 1: don't know we you know, that's what I was saying.
- 1:23:21Speaker 1: These young guys, you know, they get picked in the
- 1:23:24Speaker 1: NFL and the NBA and all this. They don't know
- 1:23:26Speaker 1: anything about money and how to man so anybody can
- 1:23:29Speaker 1: come along and scam them, and you know, you can
- 1:23:32Speaker 1: trust this person. Yeah, it happens every day all the time.
- 1:23:36Speaker 1: That's an important lesson. Yeah, it really is an important lesson.
- 1:23:39Speaker 1: This man made a one hundred million dollars over his career.
- 1:23:41Speaker 1: He's nearly broke now, just thirteen years. Yeah, just thirteen years.
- 1:23:46Speaker 1: Do the math on that, you know. So, yeah, we
- 1:23:48Speaker 1: have to be smarter. We have to educate ourselves. You're
- 1:23:51Speaker 1: absolutely right. We gotta say, we gotta do all that
- 1:23:54Speaker 1: we have to. But you know what, I had a
- 1:23:57Speaker 1: father that taught me how to save months and and
- 1:24:01Speaker 1: if you have the right parent, and I don't know
- 1:24:03Speaker 1: what Adrian Peterson had, but if you have the right parent,
- 1:24:05Speaker 1: that's teaching you how to say you know you, you
- 1:24:08Speaker 1: learn how to put money away for a rainy day.
- 1:24:10Speaker 1: And I don't know if he had one hundred million
- 1:24:12Speaker 1: at one time or if it's just over a short
- 1:24:16Speaker 1: period of time thirteen years, but so so that means
- 1:24:19Speaker 1: all of that money is dancing around, that money doing
- 1:24:21Speaker 1: different things, especially if you and if you're trying to
- 1:24:24Speaker 1: invest and do this and that. It's a lot going on.
- 1:24:26Speaker 1: So I don't know if I don't know if you
- 1:24:28Speaker 1: have the right guidance. Well, you know what, thanks a
- 1:24:30Speaker 1: lot of time. I don't even know who my daddy is,
- 1:24:32Speaker 1: so thank you, thank you, thank you. My daddy was
- 1:24:39Speaker 1: da You probably wasn't that. And Jay, he probably was
- 1:24:43Speaker 1: the favorite too, you know what. Certainly, ever since your birthday,
- 1:24:48Speaker 1: you change. We love you, guys, Thank you so much
- 1:24:54Speaker 1: for listening. We'll see you tomorrow. By ye. For all
