- 2:11Speaker 7: one and only Steve Harvey got a radio show.
- 2:14Speaker 2: I feel it's necessary to explain.
- 2:16Speaker 8: What I say in the morning because somebody asked me,
- 2:18Speaker 8: what do you mean by that when you say that
- 2:21Speaker 8: in the morning.
- 2:21Speaker 2: When I say.
- 2:24Speaker 8: Uh huh, it's in response to David Hollister opening the
- 2:28Speaker 8: song by saying, go ahead, big Daddy, go ahead, I said,
- 2:31Speaker 8: uh huh, I show will. Then I say good morning everybody,
- 2:36Speaker 8: because I was raised a rage. You're supposed to speak
- 2:38Speaker 8: when you come in the room. I'm coming in y'all's room,
- 2:41Speaker 8: whether it's your bedroom, the room in your house, your car,
- 2:45Speaker 8: your office, you know, wherever you're at. I come in
- 2:48Speaker 8: the room or God speaks, I say good morning, everybody.
- 2:52Speaker 8: You are listening to the voice, and then I got
- 2:54Speaker 8: to introduce myself because as a performer, I always felt
- 2:59Speaker 8: my best when I was introduced. No, why would you
- 3:02Speaker 8: walk out on stage anybody introduce you. You can't get
- 3:05Speaker 8: the a round of applause. It's just it's horrible. So
- 3:08Speaker 8: I say, you are listening to the voice one and
- 3:10Speaker 8: only Steve Harvey. Come on, dig me now. Now that's
- 3:15Speaker 8: old school. I got that, but that's I was once again.
- 3:18Speaker 8: Dig me now? Is I want you to feel what
- 3:21Speaker 8: I'm about to say. That's all I'm saying. That's not
- 3:25Speaker 8: a bragging thing. You know you are listening to the
- 3:28Speaker 8: voice one and only Steve Harvey. Come on, dig me now.
- 3:32Speaker 8: I'm just asking you to feel what I'm saying in
- 3:34Speaker 8: the morning because it's part of a promise that I
- 3:37Speaker 8: made to God. See a long time ago, I told God,
- 3:41Speaker 8: if he allowed me to make it, that when I
- 3:44Speaker 8: got there, I would tell everybody I know how I
- 3:47Speaker 8: did it, and I wasn't gonna shortcut it or shade
- 3:50Speaker 8: him on it. I said, if you allow me to
- 3:53Speaker 8: make it, if you give me the strength, the courage,
- 3:56Speaker 8: the wisdom, you gave me a gift, if you let
- 3:59Speaker 8: me up, apply it, don't destroy myself in the process.
- 4:03Speaker 8: Forgive me for my sins along the way, continue to
- 4:07Speaker 8: hold and rock me when I need it. When I
- 4:10Speaker 8: make it, I promise you, Lord, when I get there,
- 4:14Speaker 8: I will tell everybody how I made it.
- 4:17Speaker 2: Well.
- 4:18Speaker 8: This started back in LA when I got on the
- 4:22Speaker 8: radio and I was making it okay. I was doing okay,
- 4:27Speaker 8: but I had to keep my promise to God. My
- 4:30Speaker 8: promise was, if you allow me to make it, I'll
- 4:33Speaker 8: tell everybody how I got there. I have to tell
- 4:38Speaker 8: you that every day because if it was not for
- 4:41Speaker 8: that grace and mercy, I wouldn't even be here able
- 4:45Speaker 8: to fulfill my promise. Because I've done enough dirt in
- 4:48Speaker 8: my life. Man to not be worthy. He could have
- 4:52Speaker 8: easily walked away from me a long time ago because
- 4:56Speaker 8: I had show walked away from him. See walk away
- 5:00Speaker 8: from him once. I walked away from him a bunch
- 5:02Speaker 8: of times. But guess what he forgave me a bunch
- 5:07Speaker 8: of times. I'm a living example of hundreds of chances.
- 5:14Speaker 8: His forgiveness and his mercy is available for everybody. It's
- 5:19Speaker 8: the only reason I get on this show every day.
- 5:22Speaker 8: It's the only reason I have the blessings that's come
- 5:24Speaker 8: in my way. It's the only way that the things
- 5:27Speaker 8: that keep happening in my life, man, that I have
- 5:29Speaker 8: no explanation for, is because of His grace and mercy. See,
- 5:35Speaker 8: anytime something good happens in my life and I can't
- 5:39Speaker 8: explain it, that's usually him, he exhibits to me. Remember,
- 5:44Speaker 8: I'm a forgiving god, man. Remember, So when you fall, Steve,
- 5:49Speaker 8: don't lay down there. Don't you lay down there. Don't
- 5:51Speaker 8: you let the devil fool you that because you'd have
- 5:54Speaker 8: made some mistakes that you ain't that you can't do
- 5:57Speaker 8: it because everybody gonna make it.
- 6:00Speaker 2: There's none perfect, no, not once.
- 6:01Speaker 8: So get up, keep moving, keep pushing, step on what
- 6:07Speaker 8: you're laying there for. Your daddy didn't raise you that way. Look, man,
- 6:12Speaker 8: my father was just about manhood. I'm gonna just tell you.
- 6:15Speaker 8: My daddy never had a conversation with me about church.
- 6:18Speaker 8: He beat me for not going, but you know a
- 6:21Speaker 8: couple of times, but he wasn't about that. It wasn't
- 6:23Speaker 8: his message. That was my mama's job. My mama taught
- 6:27Speaker 8: me about being saved, about loving the Lord, about giving
- 6:30Speaker 8: your life, about the teachings of Jesus Christ. My mama
- 6:33Speaker 8: was a Sunday school teacher, so I got all of
- 6:36Speaker 8: that from her. My old man ain't had none of
- 6:38Speaker 8: that for me. My old man talked to me about
- 6:40Speaker 8: one thing all day long, hard working manhood, and well,
- 6:44Speaker 8: you're gonna get that if you don't get nothing else
- 6:45Speaker 8: from me. He gave that to me, so I got it. See, so,
- 6:50Speaker 8: my father, you say, excuse my language, but you ain't
- 6:52Speaker 8: gonna sit there like no little punk up in here.
- 6:54Speaker 8: You ain't what you're finna do. You finna get up
- 6:57Speaker 8: and go do what you're supposed to do. Now, stop
- 6:59Speaker 8: all that wine, and like some little punkin gonna get
- 7:01Speaker 8: the movie. That's how my father talked to me. And
- 7:03Speaker 8: I'm just telling you real. It worked for me, though,
- 7:06Speaker 8: And before you start emailing me, that had nothing to
- 7:08Speaker 8: do with homosexuality at all. It's just that was his
- 7:12Speaker 8: term for a man not acting like a man. That's
- 7:16Speaker 8: all it was he had. It was not a gay
- 7:18Speaker 8: reference at all. I want you to understand that before
- 7:20Speaker 8: you started emailing me. So my daddy wasn't calling. That
- 7:23Speaker 8: was not a sexual reference for him. My father talked
- 7:26Speaker 8: to us That's what he meant. I knew exactly what
- 7:28Speaker 8: he meant. He couldn't admit nothing if he ain't even
- 7:29Speaker 8: know nothing about that. My man clueless when it come
- 7:32Speaker 8: to that right there. So when I was getting down
- 7:36Speaker 8: and feeling bad about myself, my old man, he taught
- 7:39Speaker 8: me this toughness. Man, he gave me this grit, this doggedness,
- 7:42Speaker 8: this go to work and work hard. That's why today,
- 7:45Speaker 8: when God does bless me with something, he ain't got
- 7:49Speaker 8: to worry.
- 7:49Speaker 2: About me not working hard because that's in me.
- 7:54Speaker 8: And when I get tired, I asked that same God
- 7:57Speaker 8: for strift to keep on doing so I can do
- 8:00Speaker 8: the blessings he got for me. So when you ask
- 8:03Speaker 8: me how you gonna do all this, Steve Harvey, I
- 8:05Speaker 8: don't know.
- 8:07Speaker 2: I ain't got to figure that out. All I got to.
- 8:09Speaker 8: Do is show up with the same amount of faith
- 8:11Speaker 8: of being showing up with God handle the rest of it.
- 8:14Speaker 8: See y'all, hey man, let me tell you something. I
- 8:17Speaker 8: don't see how you do it. I don't either.
- 8:20Speaker 2: Can I get you, hey man, newsflash? Let me hear.
- 8:23Speaker 2: I don't see how you doing all that? Steve? You
- 8:25Speaker 2: doing this? You doing that? Can I tell you something
- 8:28Speaker 2: I don't either?
- 8:29Speaker 8: I just wake up with the faith man and trusting
- 8:32Speaker 8: that if he gonna bless me with it, he must
- 8:34Speaker 8: be gonna show me a way.
- 8:35Speaker 2: How to get it done. See I ain't tripping on
- 8:37Speaker 2: that part.
- 8:38Speaker 8: See, once you take yourself out the how to business,
- 8:42Speaker 8: you can go on and get with it. But see,
- 8:44Speaker 8: if you're gonna trip yourself out with the how to,
- 8:46Speaker 8: you can't think like God can think. You can't figure
- 8:49Speaker 8: like God can figure. So now you sit up in here,
- 8:51Speaker 8: God Lord, I want this to happen for me. Then
- 8:54Speaker 8: I don't know how I'm gonna do all that. Well,
- 8:57Speaker 8: guess what you in the wait?
- 8:58Speaker 2: Now? See you?
- 8:59Speaker 8: Now you in the way, because see God ain't asked
- 9:02Speaker 8: you to figure out how to. He said ask and believe.
- 9:07Speaker 8: Then he said faith without works is dead. That's my solution.
- 9:12Speaker 8: That's the concoction that I'm functioning on. All I got
- 9:16Speaker 8: to do is accept the blessing, keep the faith, be
- 9:20Speaker 8: willing to work and believe God can do anything but fail.
- 9:25Speaker 8: Why would God bring me this far to leave me?
- 9:29Speaker 8: Why would He bring you.
- 9:31Speaker 2: This far to leave you?
- 9:35Speaker 8: So while I get up every morning, I have no choice.
- 9:39Speaker 8: I got to get up in here to rest when
- 9:41Speaker 8: I'm running late.
- 9:42Speaker 9: Man.
- 9:42Speaker 2: I try to plow through here. Sometime I don't make it. Man,
- 9:44Speaker 2: I got to do a rerun.
- 9:46Speaker 8: But I plow through here because, man, Steve, you're gonna
- 9:48Speaker 8: run out something to say.
- 9:49Speaker 2: Nah, I'm gonna just keep thinking. Now. You can't run
- 9:51Speaker 2: out of that, can you? Because you owe him that.
- 9:54Speaker 8: Matter of fact, when I get through talking, I really
- 9:56Speaker 8: ain't thanked him enough.
- 9:58Speaker 1: You're listening. Took it, Steve Harvey Morning Show.

- 10:18Speaker 8: L is for living, because that's what we are. I
- 10:23Speaker 8: is for ignorant, It's what we gonna be. V is
- 10:28Speaker 8: for victory, is what we want to win. Is E
- 10:32Speaker 8: is for everybody.
- 10:35Speaker 2: Put that again.
- 10:36Speaker 8: That that's what's called a acnyl. You know what I mean.

- 14:41Speaker 9: be care whatever. Hello, Hello, I'm trying to reach LC. Hey,
- 14:49Speaker 9: let me let me Hey. My name is Marcus. My
- 14:52Speaker 9: mom and them little next door to you, mister and missus,
- 14:56Speaker 9: my mom and daddy little next door to you. And
- 14:58Speaker 9: I was calling cuz y'all got a pecan tree in
- 15:02Speaker 9: y'all backyard, I mean right on the fence line, and
- 15:06Speaker 9: to keep you know, pecan and stuff keep.
- 15:08Speaker 2: Falling over into my mom and them yard.
- 15:10Speaker 9: So I talling to see if y'all can do something man,
- 15:13Speaker 9: where y'all can pick up I mean, my mom and
- 15:16Speaker 9: them have got a little older.
- 15:17Speaker 2: You know, we've been picking them up for a long time.
- 15:20Speaker 9: But I need somebody to, like, maybe you can cut
- 15:22Speaker 9: the limbs back that's hanging over so that they won't
- 15:26Speaker 9: you know, the pecans won't be falling over into my
- 15:28Speaker 9: mom and them yard because you know, for them to
- 15:30Speaker 9: be bending over like that're picking up them pecan and
- 15:32Speaker 9: it's a lot of them. So, you know, mister, I
- 15:35Speaker 9: just wanted to holler at you and see if you
- 15:37Speaker 9: don't mind maybe cutting the limbs back, because even when
- 15:40Speaker 9: we turn the lawnmower on and stuff, man, it's just,
- 15:43Speaker 9: you know, the pecans and stuff be coming out of
- 15:44Speaker 9: the lawnmow just shooting all over the place.
- 15:47Speaker 13: Well, first of all, mather Con tri is an old
- 15:51Speaker 13: pecan tree and it's about well and I can't see
- 15:56Speaker 13: me cutting it.
- 15:58Speaker 2: Well.
- 15:58Speaker 13: I mean, I'm not saying you can't have nobody to
- 16:02Speaker 13: maintain your yard, but I mean you your mother, you
- 16:06Speaker 13: can maintain your mother's yard, sir.
- 16:08Speaker 9: I go by my mother's house, you know, every other
- 16:11Speaker 9: day and check on them. But I don't have time
- 16:13Speaker 9: to go in the back and pick up pecans and stuff.
- 16:15Speaker 2: You know what I'm saying.
- 16:16Speaker 9: I mean, if you just it don't seem no more
- 16:18Speaker 9: than like maybe four or five limbs that's hanging over there.
- 16:21Speaker 9: But they're four or five limbs, I mean they they
- 16:23Speaker 9: there's a lot of pecans falling off of that.
- 16:26Speaker 13: So if you my pa Con tree is shady, I
- 16:29Speaker 13: goes back there. There's nothing, no kind of nothing back there. Okay,
- 16:35Speaker 13: whatever sir, I'm not cutting my tree for like that.
- 16:39Speaker 2: Sir.
- 16:39Speaker 9: Listen, what I'm what I'm trying to get you to
- 16:41Speaker 9: do is I'm not I want you cutting your entire
- 16:43Speaker 9: tree down. I just want you to cut a few limbs, sir,
- 16:46Speaker 9: so you know those that way that those are the
- 16:49Speaker 9: ones that are hanging over it won't be you know,
- 16:50Speaker 9: the pecans won't be falling over into my mom's them yard.
- 16:54Speaker 9: And and you know, like I say, they're older now, man,
- 16:56Speaker 9: they can't be bending over like that. So you know,
- 16:58Speaker 9: I'm I'm just coming to you as a man right
- 17:01Speaker 9: now and asking you when you please cut this down
- 17:03Speaker 9: so these pecans can quit falling over my mom.
- 17:05Speaker 2: And them yard.
- 17:06Speaker 13: Almost you. All you can do is hard someone okay,
- 17:09Speaker 13: someone is I know your mother. Don't cut your yard.
- 17:13Speaker 2: No, it's it's a guy that it's a guy that
- 17:15Speaker 2: cuts the yard.
- 17:15Speaker 9: But even when he cutting the yard, these pecans is
- 17:18Speaker 9: flying out from underneath the yard.
- 17:20Speaker 2: The law more they they So the lady, we're gonna
- 17:22Speaker 2: be breaking windows over there.
- 17:24Speaker 13: What kind of lawn person you have that don't pick
- 17:27Speaker 13: up before they cut?
- 17:28Speaker 15: That's fool?
- 17:29Speaker 2: Why am I arguing with you about picking up stuff?
- 17:32Speaker 2: And all of this.
- 17:32Speaker 9: I'm asking you to cut a funky lift five limbs
- 17:35Speaker 9: so these dog on pecans they are following off my
- 17:38Speaker 9: mama yard.
- 17:39Speaker 13: You want to cut, you're gonna make me come.
- 17:41Speaker 9: Over here, cut the whole I would come, cut the
- 17:44Speaker 9: whole tree down.
- 17:45Speaker 13: You ain't gonna put my tree. I grew that tree
- 17:48Speaker 13: from when I was a kid, and that tree gonna
- 17:50Speaker 13: stay in the yard long as I stay though.
- 17:53Speaker 9: Sir, look, I didn't ask you like a man to
- 17:56Speaker 9: cut your little funkey pecan tree down.
- 17:58Speaker 2: Now, I ain't from the hat what.
- 18:00Speaker 13: You know what? Guess what you you you bad to know?
- 18:04Speaker 13: You come cut it up.
- 18:06Speaker 9: Fin look sir, tonight today rather this evening. It's either
- 18:11Speaker 9: gonna be two things happening. Either you gonna cut these
- 18:14Speaker 9: five limbs that I won't cut. If Fenna cut, cut
- 18:16Speaker 9: the whole pecan tree down.
- 18:19Speaker 13: That's my tree in any game. Nobody gonna with my tree.
- 18:22Speaker 13: I'm here right now, I'm hearing them in yard right now.
- 18:25Speaker 13: Come on, it's you over that right now, right now.
- 18:28Speaker 2: I will bring my right hold back.
- 18:30Speaker 13: You know what, you get my number in a.
- 18:33Speaker 1: Way got your mother.

- 23:46Speaker 2: You can go get one of them, man, But I
- 23:50Speaker 2: don't know, man, huh.
- 23:52Speaker 1: I'm expensive. Man, you don't want to keep paying for that?
- 23:56Speaker 2: Well, you know if you don't, whoa, okay, then.
- 23:58Speaker 1: We come on, yeah, come on, come on, all side, come.
- 24:02Speaker 2: On, walk over. You know it's all right over here.
- 24:05Speaker 10: But Steve, you have to say though, when you first
- 24:07Speaker 10: went bald, you weren't sure about the shape of your head, right,
- 24:11Speaker 10: you were real happy when you shaved it off. I
- 24:13Speaker 10: remember that morning you called all yeah, you were cool
- 24:15Speaker 10: with it.
- 24:17Speaker 8: Yeah, but like here was the deal though. Now you
- 24:22Speaker 8: don't even have to do that. You can get a
- 24:23Speaker 8: computer rendering of your head. Oh yeah, they got that.
- 24:28Speaker 8: Now they take a picture, they give you a computer
- 24:30Speaker 8: rendering of it, and you can see what you would
- 24:33Speaker 8: look like with no hair.
- 24:34Speaker 1: Okay, all right, yeah, yeah.
- 24:36Speaker 2: They got that. Now they got everything.
- 24:39Speaker 1: You've got options.
- 24:42Speaker 2: But now he.
- 24:42Speaker 8: Already no, he got a big head, he's been.
- 24:48Speaker 2: Yeah, so he just got to come on.
- 24:50Speaker 10: Yeah, thank you all right, Yes, already has a girlfriend.
- 24:54Speaker 1: All right, we're moving on.
- 24:56Speaker 10: Caitlin and Saint Louis says, I'm thirty three and I
- 24:59Speaker 10: have four older brothers that think they can control me.
- 25:02Speaker 1: I've always been.
- 25:03Speaker 10: Attracted to older guys, so I've secretly dated guys that
- 25:07Speaker 10: my brothers know. For the past few months, I've been
- 25:10Speaker 10: dating my second to the oldest brother's best friend.
- 25:13Speaker 1: And he's keeping me a secret.
- 25:15Speaker 10: Now I'm trying to figure out if he's using my
- 25:17Speaker 10: brother as an excuse to keep our relationship on the low,
- 25:21Speaker 10: or if he's got something else going on. I'm old
- 25:24Speaker 10: enough to do what I want, So what's the worst
- 25:27Speaker 10: that can happen? If I tell my brother hmm.
- 25:30Speaker 2: His brother gonna beat his friend's hand.
- 25:32Speaker 1: Yeah, that's the worst.
- 25:34Speaker 8: That's what the deal is. That's what the deal is.
- 25:40Speaker 8: Because brothers, men have a man cold law. Don't do
- 25:45Speaker 8: my little sister dog, don't come over here with your mess.
- 25:48Speaker 8: And then your older brother knows him really, really well.
- 25:54Speaker 8: So now he know where the skeletons is buried, you know,
- 25:58Speaker 8: he know all the other chicks, yes.
- 26:01Speaker 15: And.
- 26:02Speaker 8: How recent these other chicks were and any other thing.
- 26:09Speaker 8: So that's what he worried about. But you could talk
- 26:12Speaker 8: to him about it and say, hey me, and you're
- 26:14Speaker 8: gonna go sit with my brothers and explain to him
- 26:17Speaker 8: that we love each other.
- 26:18Speaker 2: But I don't hear love in him. Y'all just seeing
- 26:21Speaker 2: each other.
- 26:22Speaker 1: Yeah, just they're dating. They're just dating right now.
- 26:25Speaker 8: And you have to keep asking yourself to all these
- 26:27Speaker 8: older men that you keep dating. They want to keep
- 26:29Speaker 8: you a secret, and you want to keep them a secret.
- 26:32Speaker 8: Why is it's such a big secret?
- 26:33Speaker 10: Yeah, all right, Miriam and San Diego. My husband and
- 26:39Speaker 10: I are in our early sixties and my husband likes
- 26:42Speaker 10: takes our four year old grandson to soccer three days
- 26:45Speaker 10: a week. After practice the other day, my grandson asked
- 26:48Speaker 10: if Joshua and Miss Kelsey could come over. He said,
- 26:52Speaker 10: Joshua is his friend and Miss Kelsey is his granddad's friend.
- 26:55Speaker 2: I ask if.
- 26:56Speaker 10: Joshua played soccer like him, and he said no, Joshua
- 27:00Speaker 10: plays karate. He said that Joshua comes to the soccer
- 27:03Speaker 10: practice and they get pizza afterwards. Do I need to
- 27:06Speaker 10: find out who Miss Kelsey is.
- 27:08Speaker 1: Or do I ignore this four year old?
- 27:10Speaker 2: Mm hmm. You're gonna break up your family overo.
- 27:16Speaker 10: Oh wow, that's a man answer right there, because I'm
- 27:21Speaker 10: a man answer.
- 27:24Speaker 8: So you gonna sit up here unless some foio old
- 27:28Speaker 8: would imaginary friend names.
- 27:33Speaker 2: All of what we got.
- 27:36Speaker 1: Oh, that's the that's the lie.
- 27:38Speaker 8: You got to be kidding me. Don't talk to me
- 27:43Speaker 8: no more like that. And I'm not taking this boy
- 27:46Speaker 8: to soccer practice no more.
- 27:49Speaker 1: If you do, I'm going with you. How about that?
- 27:52Speaker 14: That's a good taking the soccer practice.
- 27:57Speaker 1: You men stick together, don't you.
- 28:00Speaker 2: There we go out of this one.
- 28:01Speaker 10: Yeah, Foxy and Toledo says, I am a thirty eight
- 28:05Speaker 10: year old single woman and I need to get thing,
- 28:08Speaker 10: something's off my chest down At my job, I'm almost
- 28:11Speaker 10: six feet tall and I sit in a cubicle all
- 28:14Speaker 10: day trying to be a happy camper. But every hour
- 28:17Speaker 10: I need to relieve myself, stretch my legs and have
- 28:20Speaker 10: a cigarette. I sit across from Darren, the male Karen,
- 28:24Speaker 10: and he has always got something to say about the
- 28:26Speaker 10: time I spend away from my little desk. He said,
- 28:29Speaker 10: I smell like a smokestack and my music is too loud.
- 28:32Speaker 10: If I catch Darren out away from work, can I
- 28:35Speaker 10: curse him out?
- 28:36Speaker 2: Yes?
- 28:37Speaker 8: Yes, As a matter of fact, Listen to me, there's
- 28:40Speaker 8: a way you can do it at work. I've done
- 28:44Speaker 8: it before, which is probably one of the reasons I
- 28:47Speaker 8: don't have no jobs. Listen to me, lean over in
- 28:51Speaker 8: Darren's ear when the ain't nobody looking, lick your lips
- 28:56Speaker 8: and put your lips up against his ear, because he.
- 28:59Speaker 2: Gonna think it some about something else.
- 29:01Speaker 17: As soon as you put your wet lips up against

- 29:35Speaker 1: Bush right there?
- 29:37Speaker 2: Didn't know what junr.
- 29:38Speaker 8: What that means is what you're holding. It might be
- 29:42Speaker 8: two birds in that bush. But if you let this
- 29:44Speaker 8: bird go to reach in there for the two in
- 29:47Speaker 8: the bush and they fly out the bush, you ain't
- 29:50Speaker 8: got nothing. A bird in the hand is worth two
- 29:53Speaker 8: in the bush.
- 29:54Speaker 18: But if it's two and there and I having to
- 29:56Speaker 18: catch both, wouldn't that be better?
- 29:58Speaker 8: See heard in that was a small word with the

- 56:47Speaker 10: Thank you the nephew. Subject My wife keeps leaving me
- 56:51Speaker 10: and coming back. She keeps leaving me and coming back.
- 56:56Speaker 10: To Stephen Shirley, I'm a thirty five year old man
- 56:58Speaker 10: with two kids and a step daughter by my wife.
- 57:01Speaker 10: I love my family, but I have come to a
- 57:04Speaker 10: breaking point with my wife. For the second time in
- 57:08Speaker 10: four years, she has left the home and cut off
- 57:10Speaker 10: all contact with me and the kids. The first time
- 57:14Speaker 10: she left, she ran off with a man that she
- 57:16Speaker 10: met online. She bought a bus ticket and rode out
- 57:20Speaker 10: west and didn't contact us for a month. Eventually, the
- 57:24Speaker 10: guy dumped her and she reached out to me. I
- 57:27Speaker 10: ended up sending her four hundred dollars for her to
- 57:30Speaker 10: get back home. Earlier this summer, I was grilling and
- 57:33Speaker 10: the kids were in the pool. My wife said she
- 57:36Speaker 10: had to run to Walmart to get a few things.
- 57:39Speaker 10: We have not seen her since then. The kids and
- 57:43Speaker 10: I rode all around town looking for her that night
- 57:45Speaker 10: and the next day. I kind of figured she'd left
- 57:48Speaker 10: us again, but I didn't want to upset the kids.
- 57:51Speaker 10: I filed a missing person's report with the police, and
- 57:54Speaker 10: the police told me since she'd left before, they wouldn't
- 57:58Speaker 10: open an investigation.
- 58:00Speaker 1: Away.
- 58:00Speaker 10: I posted pictures on Facebook, and instantly I got all
- 58:04Speaker 10: kinds of messages saying that she'd been seen around our
- 58:06Speaker 10: city and a few cities close by.
- 58:09Speaker 1: I wasn't surprised, and I waited for her to call home.
- 58:13Speaker 10: After forty five days, she called, saying she needs to
- 58:17Speaker 10: come back home and she is ashamed of what she
- 58:20Speaker 10: keeps doing to the family. I told the kids she
- 58:23Speaker 10: called and is ready to come home. They said I
- 58:26Speaker 10: shouldn't let her come back and we'd be just fine
- 58:29Speaker 10: without her. We've been married fourteen years and I've kept
- 58:33Speaker 10: the marriage together for the kids. But now they're saying
- 58:36Speaker 10: to throw her and the whole marriage away. Do you
- 58:40Speaker 10: think I should take their advice or give my wife
- 58:42Speaker 10: one more chance? Please advise? Well, I mean, you know,
- 58:47Speaker 10: the decision, of course, is ultimately up to you.
- 58:50Speaker 15: What you do.
- 58:52Speaker 10: Should you ta take the kid's advice or give your
- 58:55Speaker 10: wife one more chance? Is that what you want to do? Well,
- 58:59Speaker 10: it's certainly not what the kids want you to do,
- 59:01Speaker 10: because they're sick of her. They really are, and they
- 59:04Speaker 10: let you know so you can let yourself off the hook.
- 59:07Speaker 10: They want you to stop feeling guilty about all this,
- 59:10Speaker 10: your wife leaving and coming back and running off with
- 59:13Speaker 10: some man she met online, and you know, just not
- 59:18Speaker 10: hearing from her, no contact for forty days and a month,
- 59:22Speaker 10: forty five days.
- 59:23Speaker 1: What is all of this?
- 59:24Speaker 10: And then you have two kids, and one of them
- 59:26Speaker 10: is her stepdaughter. She's sick of her mom too. They
- 59:30Speaker 10: want a divorce from her, and really so should you
- 59:32Speaker 10: At this point your wife doesn't care about you, she
- 59:35Speaker 10: doesn't care about the kids. And your kids, I don't
- 59:38Speaker 10: know how old they are, you said, they were in
- 59:40Speaker 10: the pool while you were grilling. But I mean they're
- 59:43Speaker 10: cool just with being with you.
- 59:44Speaker 5: Dad.
- 59:46Speaker 10: I just say, I'm saying sorry here, but your wife
- 59:49Speaker 10: is trifling and she's a horrible mom. I mean, is
- 59:52Speaker 10: she on drugs or something?
- 59:54Speaker 1: What is going on with her?
- 59:55Speaker 10: Who just walks out on her family and comes back
- 59:58Speaker 10: like nothing ever happened. I'm sure this is devastating for
- 1:00:01Speaker 10: your children.
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: I'm sure it is. Who does this? Why should they
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: have to continue to go through this time and time again?
- 1:00:11Speaker 10: They can't be secure, they can't you know, they're unsure
- 1:00:15Speaker 10: of themselves.
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: And why should you have to continually go through this?
- 1:00:19Speaker 1: Who can live like this?
- 1:00:20Speaker 10: I just you know, you never know from one day
- 1:00:23Speaker 10: to the next if you'll have a mom, or if
- 1:00:26Speaker 10: you have a wife or not. I say, pack her bags,
- 1:00:29Speaker 10: put yourself and your kids out of this revolving dora
- 1:00:32Speaker 10: of a marriage, and tell your wife that you and
- 1:00:36Speaker 10: the guys will be just fine without her. She's selfish
- 1:00:39Speaker 10: and that's what the kids want you to do. Anyway,
- 1:00:41Speaker 10: But unless you really want to do it, and I
- 1:00:44Speaker 10: don't see why you wouldn't, I don't know, don't let
- 1:00:47Speaker 10: her back.
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: Okay, she's a source of misery for you guys.
- 1:00:51Speaker 2: Steve, Well, let me start by saying this to you.
- 1:00:58Speaker 8: It ain't a good look when your kids is smarter
- 1:01:03Speaker 8: than you, right, you know, it just ain't a good look.
- 1:01:10Speaker 8: Let me just start there. Okay, All right, here we go.
- 1:01:16Speaker 8: You a thirty five year old man got two kids
- 1:01:18Speaker 8: and her stepdaughter. I love my family, but she had
- 1:01:23Speaker 8: a breaking point. For the second time in four years,
- 1:01:29Speaker 8: she'd have left home, cut off all contact with me
- 1:01:32Speaker 8: and the kid.
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: The first time.
- 1:01:35Speaker 2: She first time she left, she ran off with a
- 1:01:39Speaker 2: man she met online.
- 1:01:40Speaker 19: She bought a.
- 1:01:42Speaker 8: Who buys a bus ticket to ride out west, you know,
- 1:01:48Speaker 8: like she in a Western or something old West young
- 1:01:52Speaker 8: man fortune out there. And she left you for a
- 1:01:58Speaker 8: dude that sent her a bus ticket, from a man
- 1:02:05Speaker 8: that has a house with a swimming pool.
- 1:02:07Speaker 2: And in the backyard grilling.
- 1:02:10Speaker 8: She left you for a man that sent her a
- 1:02:13Speaker 8: bus ticket. Your wife is not a bright person. The
- 1:02:23Speaker 8: kids are, the wife is not. So let's try to
- 1:02:29Speaker 8: make some sense of it. And she brought Eventually the
- 1:02:34Speaker 8: god dumped her. She reached out to me. I ended
- 1:02:37Speaker 8: up spending four hundred dollars for her to get back home.
- 1:02:40Speaker 2: Now you obviously bought a plane ticket.
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: Hold on, We'll hold on, Steve, hold that uck, God,
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: just hold it, hold it. We'll have her too.
- 1:02:49Speaker 10: Of Steve's response coming up in twenty three minutes after
- 1:02:52Speaker 10: the hour. Today's subject my wife keeps leaving.
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: Me and coming back. We'll get into it right after this.
- 1:02:59Speaker 1: You're listening Hardy Morning show.
- 1:03:07Speaker 14: Hey, it's Carla Ferroll. Kick that old mop and bucket aside?
- 1:03:10Speaker 14: Are you ready for a mop and bucket clean? And
- 1:03:13Speaker 14: half the time make the swap to Swiffer Power Mop,
- 1:03:17Speaker 14: the only one. Cleaning Hero has a built in solution
- 1:03:20Speaker 14: that breaks down dirt and grime like magic. With hundreds
- 1:03:24Speaker 14: of scrubbing strips on the pad, it absorbs sticky messes

- 1:03:31Speaker 14: hours after cleaning. Get yours today and mop smarter with
- 1:03:35Speaker 14: the Swiffer Power Mop. All right, come on, Steve, let's
- 1:03:39Speaker 14: recap today's strawberry letter. The subject my wife keeps leaving
- 1:03:43Speaker 14: me and coming back?
- 1:03:47Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah, she been doing it.
- 1:03:52Speaker 8: Second time in four years. She didn't left the first
- 1:03:57Speaker 8: time she left with a man she met online. Uh,
- 1:04:01Speaker 8: she bought a bus ticket and rolled out West I
- 1:04:06Speaker 8: knew this relationship was doomed. You meet a dude online,
- 1:04:10Speaker 8: he's buy you a bus ticket, all right, Clearly you
- 1:04:18Speaker 8: care more about her than the dude online. Now hit
- 1:04:23Speaker 8: a good one right here. Earlier this summer, I was
- 1:04:25Speaker 8: grilling kids, was outside in the pool. My wife said,
- 1:04:33Speaker 8: what did she What happened at the walmart? The kids
- 1:04:43Speaker 8: and I rode around town looking.
- 1:04:45Speaker 2: For her that night.
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: And the next day.
- 1:04:51Speaker 2: And the next day.
- 1:04:54Speaker 8: Then the dude said, because he got tuition, I kind
- 1:04:57Speaker 8: of figured she left us again. I ain't want up
- 1:05:00Speaker 8: set the kids, so I filed a missing person report.
- 1:05:03Speaker 8: Police told me since she left before, they wouldn't open
- 1:05:06Speaker 8: an investigation right away. Then you put some pictures on Facebook,
- 1:05:11Speaker 8: and everybody started calling you, telling you I saw that
- 1:05:14Speaker 8: help down that Earl Turner's right, Well, I saw up
- 1:05:19Speaker 8: at Abigail's. She was at to speak easy too. Now
- 1:05:23Speaker 8: she came into tavern Friday. They just saw her everywhere. Yeah,
- 1:05:28Speaker 8: you know she old bro that go do country stuff.
- 1:05:31Speaker 8: You know this ain't no big city chicks.
- 1:05:33Speaker 1: Oh okay, because of the bus.
- 1:05:37Speaker 8: So I wasn't surprised, and I waited for her to
- 1:05:39Speaker 8: call home after Funny Fat Day.
- 1:05:44Speaker 1: So crazy.
- 1:05:46Speaker 8: This help of call back home said she's ashamed of
- 1:05:51Speaker 8: what she keep doing to the family.
- 1:05:53Speaker 2: Sureley says something right.
- 1:05:55Speaker 15: Is she on.
- 1:05:56Speaker 17: Drugs because this guy crackhead rolled all over Yeah yeah, great.
- 1:06:02Speaker 2: Matter of fact. Let me let me, let me, let me,
- 1:06:05Speaker 2: let me bag it down a little bit. Is she
- 1:06:08Speaker 2: on meth? Let me tell you what.
- 1:06:12Speaker 8: When you see her, look at her teeth real good?
- 1:06:15Speaker 8: Why because if you on matthe your teeth is shot.
- 1:06:19Speaker 8: Oh you ain't see the tiger king?
- 1:06:23Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 1:06:23Speaker 1: Saw yeah his man? Did you see his mom?
- 1:06:28Speaker 15: Oh?
- 1:06:28Speaker 1: Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, that's right.
- 1:06:33Speaker 15: Yeah.
- 1:06:33Speaker 8: I don't care what your sexual preference is. You got
- 1:06:37Speaker 8: to want somebody with you have to, you have to.
- 1:06:41Speaker 15: Yeah.
- 1:06:42Speaker 8: Now I told the kids she called and ready to
- 1:06:45Speaker 8: come home. The kids said, don't let her come back.
- 1:06:49Speaker 8: We just fine without it. You know, you messed up
- 1:06:52Speaker 8: when your kids don't want their mama no more.
- 1:06:55Speaker 1: Your blood daughter, your blood daughter.
- 1:06:58Speaker 8: We've been married fourteen years, and I've kept the marriage
- 1:07:01Speaker 8: together for the kids. Now this is interesting because now
- 1:07:04Speaker 8: they're saying to throw her and the whole marriage away.
- 1:07:07Speaker 8: So if she had a stepdaughter, the stepdaughter got to
- 1:07:12Speaker 8: be at least fifteen because y'all only been together for
- 1:07:16Speaker 8: fourteen years. Unless she had the baby while she was
- 1:07:20Speaker 8: on the bus trip.
- 1:07:23Speaker 6: She could have.
- 1:07:27Speaker 1: Cy she is.
- 1:07:30Speaker 8: Do you think I should take their advice or give
- 1:07:34Speaker 8: my wife one more chance? Let me ask you something, brother,
- 1:07:37Speaker 8: Give your wife one more chance to do?
- 1:07:38Speaker 2: What to leave a third time?
- 1:07:41Speaker 14: Yeah?
- 1:07:42Speaker 8: Please advise, brother. I don't even know why you struggling
- 1:07:46Speaker 8: with her. This is not a sign of a person
- 1:07:48Speaker 8: that's no longer any in love with you or her family.
- 1:07:52Speaker 8: She loves something else.
- 1:07:54Speaker 15: Now.
- 1:07:54Speaker 8: I ain't saying she owned drugs. It do sound like
- 1:07:57Speaker 8: drugs to me because she go on these beings. Just
- 1:08:01Speaker 8: I don't know what's wrong with her, But the kids
- 1:08:04Speaker 8: deserve better. You seem like a good man. You probably
- 1:08:08Speaker 8: get you a good woman.
- 1:08:09Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:08:10Speaker 2: Me personally, I'm just this just Steve Harvey talker.
- 1:08:14Speaker 8: Please don't tweet and facebook me about my responses because.
- 1:08:20Speaker 2: You know I don't really care no more. I really don't.
- 1:08:23Speaker 8: I done got sixty three. I don't got real comfortable
- 1:08:26Speaker 8: with what I'm saying on this show. I divorce, Yeah, yeah,
- 1:08:31Speaker 8: I'm divorcing her.
- 1:08:32Speaker 1: Think he has real choice.
- 1:08:35Speaker 8: I'm divorcing her. I'm not living like this is clear.
- 1:08:39Speaker 8: You don't want me and these kids. I don't want
- 1:08:41Speaker 8: to see him sending the kids through it. And I
- 1:08:43Speaker 8: want somebody to agree with me and the kids and.
- 1:08:45Speaker 2: Be in the pool.
- 1:08:46Speaker 15: Right.
- 1:08:46Speaker 1: You can leave your husband and your kids.
- 1:08:49Speaker 8: You will leave me or somebody that bought a bus ticket. Yeah,
- 1:08:55Speaker 8: that's what I'm throwing off at. I can see if
- 1:08:59Speaker 8: you came up. You didn't even go lateral. You just
- 1:09:02Speaker 8: took a step down.
- 1:09:03Speaker 2: You rode a bus out Wes.
- 1:09:08Speaker 1: We don't even know what.
- 1:09:10Speaker 8: Probably just went west of the Mississippi, ended up ended
- 1:09:14Speaker 8: up in Mississippi, wow wherever. Yeah, this is she's a
- 1:09:20Speaker 8: bad She's a bad woman. She's not a good person.
- 1:09:23Speaker 8: I'm done with him. You can do what you want
- 1:09:24Speaker 8: to do, Bro, but he kid no.

- 1:10:38Speaker 9: every time they together.
- 1:10:40Speaker 2: Okay, driving too things.
- 1:10:43Speaker 9: And it's at the point now where I want he
- 1:10:46Speaker 9: wants to go to a church in a separate car.
- 1:10:51Speaker 9: When it's time to go to dinner, he want to go,
- 1:10:54Speaker 9: you know, in a separate car. It's just it's just
- 1:10:57Speaker 9: gotten out of control because it's just two Ask how
- 1:11:01Speaker 9: do we fix this issue? Issue is a way to
- 1:11:04Speaker 9: resolve it. But that's that's been his takeaway. I'm just
- 1:11:08Speaker 9: gonna drive. I mean, he just gonna drive himself.
- 1:11:10Speaker 1: Way want to be asking for a friend?
- 1:11:12Speaker 15: Right?
- 1:11:12Speaker 1: Were asking you to get your thoughts together?
- 1:11:15Speaker 2: Yeah, I really should have rehearsed that. First of all,
- 1:11:20Speaker 2: use it food.
- 1:11:23Speaker 8: For just the way you phrase this whole thing, because
- 1:11:27Speaker 8: it is quite obvious who this This friend.
- 1:11:31Speaker 1: Is a friend for starters.
- 1:11:36Speaker 8: Next, I don't know how you're gonna be able to
- 1:11:40Speaker 8: fix this because you've gone public with it. I oftentimes
- 1:11:45Speaker 8: suggested to people that you keep your relationship business off
- 1:11:50Speaker 8: social media. And even though this isn't on social media,
- 1:11:53Speaker 8: what you just see it you are over free international
- 1:11:57Speaker 8: ad waves. Every thing we say is recorded and reserved
- 1:12:02Speaker 8: and placed up in the archives of cyber space. So
- 1:12:06Speaker 8: therefore I don't understand the point now to answer your question,
- 1:12:12Speaker 8: it's really.
- 1:12:13Speaker 2: Not a thing you can do, so just sitting there
- 1:12:15Speaker 2: and ride like that?
- 1:12:17Speaker 8: Or what is he gonna hide? The man ask your question?
- 1:12:19Speaker 8: The man ask your question, how is the complaining working
- 1:12:22Speaker 8: out for you? Because when you make them mad, they
- 1:12:25Speaker 8: go faster?
- 1:12:26Speaker 2: Have they go faster? They have you noticed that? So
- 1:12:29Speaker 2: is Brenna just.
- 1:12:30Speaker 8: Going to take the speed that they was gonna do
- 1:12:32Speaker 8: it at because pissed off speed is always fast.
- 1:12:37Speaker 9: Explain forty miles an hour and looking in the back
- 1:12:41Speaker 9: seat at one of them kids and take four second
- 1:12:44Speaker 9: before you turn back around.
- 1:12:45Speaker 8: Explain to Marjorie has driven and I thought it was
- 1:12:49Speaker 8: too fast. Now before I say something to make her
- 1:12:53Speaker 8: mad and she step on the gas faster.
- 1:12:58Speaker 2: I just sit there. And what I do is I
- 1:13:00Speaker 2: looked down.
- 1:13:03Speaker 8: I don't even watch the houses and the telephone polls
- 1:13:07Speaker 8: going by.
- 1:13:07Speaker 1: I just looked down. All right, Hey, this is John Legend. Hi,
- 1:13:13Speaker 1: this is Felicious Shot. Hey, this is Motown recording artist
- 1:13:16Speaker 1: kem Hey.
- 1:13:16Speaker 8: You, I'm here.
- 1:13:18Speaker 2: What's up?
- 1:13:18Speaker 1: This is Chris Rock. Hey, guys myself, Good morning. This
- 1:13:20Speaker 1: is Tony Braxton.
- 1:13:21Speaker 20: You already know what timing it's boy DC young fly.
- 1:13:23Speaker 20: You listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. You're listening
- 1:13:27Speaker 20: to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Here's a question for you, guys.
- 1:13:34Speaker 20: Is your partner your best friend? Were you friends before
- 1:13:40Speaker 20: you came romantic?
- 1:13:42Speaker 15: You know?
- 1:13:43Speaker 10: It seems, despite the popularity of dating apps, most relationships
- 1:13:47Speaker 10: start the old fashioned way. That's right, Most of them
- 1:13:50Speaker 10: do with people who are friends first. In fact, researchers
- 1:13:54Speaker 10: have found that sixty six sixty six percent of people
- 1:13:58Speaker 10: were platonic friends with their partner before starting a romantic relationship.
- 1:14:04Speaker 1: So, Steve, I gotta go to you.
- 1:14:07Speaker 10: Do you believe there are benefits to being friends with
- 1:14:10Speaker 10: someone before you date them.
- 1:14:13Speaker 8: I mean, it is, it's not necessary, but it is,
- 1:14:19Speaker 8: but it's not necessary. And a lot of relationships start
- 1:14:22Speaker 8: the other way. First they get physical before they're good friend.
- 1:14:28Speaker 10: Yeah, and.
- 1:14:33Speaker 8: I'm right right now, I'm married to my best friend
- 1:14:36Speaker 8: because I ain't got nothing.
- 1:14:39Speaker 1: You ain't got no friend.
- 1:14:41Speaker 2: I ain't got no real friend, though you know I ain't.
- 1:14:44Speaker 2: I don't really have no dudes I share everything with.
- 1:14:48Speaker 2: I just don't. I've grown out of that space.
- 1:14:53Speaker 1: I want to ask you this because it's always puzzled me.
- 1:14:55Speaker 1: What about people who are friends? They're really really good friends.
- 1:14:59Speaker 1: We have a lot the Strawberry letters about this.
- 1:15:01Speaker 10: They're really good friends, and then they try to be
- 1:15:03Speaker 10: romantic and it doesn't work out, and the friendship gets
- 1:15:07Speaker 10: all weird after that.
- 1:15:09Speaker 2: You know, look, look, look, look, I said a hundred times.
- 1:15:12Speaker 8: I'm not gonna stop saying, if a man is attracted
- 1:15:15Speaker 8: to you, it's hard for him to stay your friends.
- 1:15:19Speaker 19: Right.
- 1:15:21Speaker 1: I don't know how, I don't and I don't.
- 1:15:25Speaker 2: Know why we keep debating this thing.
- 1:15:27Speaker 8: If a man is attracted to you, it's gonna be
- 1:15:31Speaker 8: really hard for him.
- 1:15:31Speaker 2: To stay your friends. It's really hard.
- 1:15:36Speaker 8: So let's just notice if you know that you're attractive
- 1:15:40Speaker 8: to this guy, and y'all just friends is just until
- 1:15:44Speaker 8: you see a crack in the day.
- 1:15:46Speaker 2: Yeah, a physical friend and physical what a physical.
- 1:15:52Speaker 1: Friend like a friend with benefits?
- 1:15:56Speaker 2: We're gonna be physical, but we're gonna be friends.
- 1:15:58Speaker 15: You know what.
- 1:16:00Speaker 1: A friend that's a kind of relationship. That's the friends
- 1:16:03Speaker 1: with benefit type.
- 1:16:05Speaker 2: That's a sexual relationship. Call it what you want to
- 1:16:08Speaker 2: call it.
- 1:16:09Speaker 8: It's a sexual relationship and eventually feelings on one one
- 1:16:13Speaker 8: of the parts, it's.
- 1:16:13Speaker 1: Gonna get it, usually the woman, Usually the woman exactly. Yeah,
- 1:16:19Speaker 1: that's what I'm in love.
- 1:16:23Speaker 2: Man' nobody sign up for love. This will be just
- 1:16:26Speaker 2: a nice physical.
- 1:16:27Speaker 1: Friend, says the host Are Ready to Love or Radio
- 1:16:36Speaker 1: Tommy and Stevie. Tommy, I got you. I got you too.
- 1:16:46Speaker 2: You ain't all the way crazy, Tammy. Far from it, Steve.
- 1:16:50Speaker 10: It is still your contention that men and women it's
- 1:16:54Speaker 10: hard for them to be friends without being physical.
- 1:16:57Speaker 1: That is that what you're saying.
- 1:16:58Speaker 8: If the man is attracted to you, I've never seen
- 1:17:05Speaker 8: a what how what just show that's that?
- 1:17:09Speaker 14: So then the question is what we just brought up
- 1:17:11Speaker 14: Shirley with the with the segment to be friends can
- 1:17:15Speaker 14: you first and then date? And you're saying that if
- 1:17:19Speaker 14: you are friends and that man is attracted to the woman,
- 1:17:26Speaker 14: you say, what we're trying to say, If you're going
- 1:17:28Speaker 14: to be friends first and then you're gonna date, how
- 1:17:30Speaker 14: does that work?
- 1:17:31Speaker 1: If you say men and women can't be friends If
- 1:17:34Speaker 1: a man.
- 1:17:34Speaker 8: Is attracted to you, eventually, when there's a crack in
- 1:17:38Speaker 8: the door, he's gonna annoy if he can put his foot.
- 1:17:41Speaker 1: In the door and be more than friends.
- 1:17:44Speaker 15: Right.
- 1:17:44Speaker 8: Yes, these relationships that turn start out that way, you
- 1:17:50Speaker 8: can turn out and blossom into wonderful and beautiful relationship.
- 1:17:54Speaker 2: It can happen then sometimes.
- 1:17:57Speaker 8: And that's a great way for it to start because
- 1:17:59Speaker 8: you started as friends. It's a great thing to happen.
- 1:18:03Speaker 8: Now here's a sad part. Its attracted to you.
- 1:18:07Speaker 1: Okay, we gotta go, Steve, hold on, we gotta go.
- 1:18:10Speaker 10: All right, we'll be back with more of the Steve
- 1:18:12Speaker 10: Harvey Morning Show twenty minutes after. Right after this, you're
- 1:18:15Speaker 10: listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, we're back, Steve.
- 1:18:24Speaker 10: Let's try to clear this up once and for all.
- 1:18:26Speaker 10: If we can, because there's so much debate about this.
- 1:18:29Speaker 10: Can men and women be friends and once they cross
- 1:18:32Speaker 10: that physical line, can they still be friends? Because sometimes
- 1:18:36Speaker 10: that gets weird. So so let's let's try to clear
- 1:18:39Speaker 10: this up because it is a debate, ongoing debate between
- 1:18:42Speaker 10: men and women. All the time you say what.
- 1:18:47Speaker 21: Man did, and every time this way, I'll be telling
- 1:18:57Speaker 21: them say the same you say it.
- 1:18:59Speaker 8: Men and women can be friends only if the man
- 1:19:04Speaker 8: does not find the.
- 1:19:06Speaker 2: Woman attracted or is not attracted to her for whatever
- 1:19:10Speaker 2: the reason.
- 1:19:11Speaker 8: If a man finds you attracted and is attracted to
- 1:19:15Speaker 8: you and is your friend, I want you to understand
- 1:19:19Speaker 8: that the moment there is a crack in the door,
- 1:19:21Speaker 8: a chink in the armor, and he see a way
- 1:19:24Speaker 8: he can fit in and be more than your friend
- 1:19:26Speaker 8: or will do that. Absolutely, he will unequivocally. Now, can
- 1:19:32Speaker 8: you start a friendship that way and it blossomed into
- 1:19:35Speaker 8: a relationship?
- 1:19:36Speaker 2: Yes? And you know why the blossom into a relationship
- 1:19:39Speaker 2: because he been attracted to.
- 1:19:40Speaker 1: You the whole time.
- 1:19:43Speaker 2: Period. Now here's the sad part that you don't want
- 1:19:46Speaker 2: to hear.
- 1:19:47Speaker 8: If the man is not attracted to you or find
- 1:19:51Speaker 8: you unattracted, you can be his for you.
- 1:19:54Speaker 10: Okay, all right, we'll be debating this for centuries to come.

- 1:22:50Speaker 10: Would you rather be okay looking but very funny and
- 1:22:55Speaker 10: interesting or super hot and very boring?
- 1:22:58Speaker 4: Which one?
- 1:23:00Speaker 15: Still a.
- 1:23:02Speaker 2: We got to be a what wants to be be.
- 1:23:06Speaker 2: Ain't no, rous got a chance of being be sooner.

- 1:23:49Speaker 11: Coming up in forty nine minutes after the hour.
- 1:23:52Speaker 10: Last break of the day, closing remarks right after this,
- 1:23:55Speaker 10: what's going on?

- 1:23:57Speaker 1: It is Dave Chappelle. I can't call to dis your
- 1:24:00Speaker 1: man Cedric the entertainer.
- 1:24:01Speaker 2: And you're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:24:04Speaker 14: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Hey, it's
- 1:24:11Speaker 14: Carla Ferroll. Kick that old mop and bucket aside? Are

- 1:24:16Speaker 9: Clean?
- 1:24:17Speaker 1: And half the time make the swap to swiffer power mop.
- 1:24:21Speaker 14: The only one cleaning hero has a built in solution
- 1:24:23Speaker 14: that breaks down dirt and grime like magic. With hundreds
- 1:24:27Speaker 14: of scrubbing strips on the pad, it absorbs sticky messes
- 1:24:32Speaker 14: with ease. Plus it'll leave your home smelling great for
- 1:24:35Speaker 14: hours after cleaning. Get yours today and mop smarter with
- 1:24:39Speaker 14: the Swiffer power mop.
- 1:24:41Speaker 10: All right, Steve, good to be back and all of that,
- 1:24:43Speaker 10: and time for you to get a son out of here.
- 1:24:46Speaker 10: With some closing remarks and inspiring words like you always do.
- 1:24:51Speaker 2: I want to encourage people, but I gotta tell you
- 1:24:54Speaker 2: the truth about it.
- 1:24:58Speaker 8: You know, it's sort of a I've decided to go
- 1:25:03Speaker 8: forward with the truth as I've learned it, and I've
- 1:25:07Speaker 8: decided to ignore naysayers and people who don't want to
- 1:25:13Speaker 8: hear the factual part of how difficult success is. But
- 1:25:18Speaker 8: if you explain it to people and they understand that
- 1:25:22Speaker 8: you've gone through the hardships of trying to become successful yourself,
- 1:25:26Speaker 8: when they face hardships, I think they can see it
- 1:25:29Speaker 8: better for themselves. And Dion Sanders told me one time,
- 1:25:33Speaker 8: he says, Steve, stop throwing the life raft to people
- 1:25:38Speaker 8: swimming away from the boat.
- 1:25:41Speaker 2: He said, just throw your life raft to them. People
- 1:25:44Speaker 2: that want to be saved.
- 1:25:46Speaker 8: So and that's saved in just a and an analytical
- 1:25:51Speaker 8: sense or an analogy that he was using in terms
- 1:25:54Speaker 8: of people who want to be motivated or encouraged or
- 1:25:58Speaker 8: given the tools for success. So in light of that,
- 1:26:01Speaker 8: here's something else I want to remind people love, because
- 1:26:04Speaker 8: people don't like to hear about the uncomfortable side of it.
- 1:26:08Speaker 8: You know, they want to just go. You know, I
- 1:26:11Speaker 8: want to sleep long as I want.
- 1:26:12Speaker 15: You.
- 1:26:12Speaker 8: Got to get this much sleeping? Okay, fine, fine, fine.
- 1:26:16Speaker 8: I had to come to that resolution after speaking the
- 1:26:20Speaker 8: truth about sleep as I know it. As I know it,
- 1:26:25Speaker 8: I can't tell you anything I don't know. I don't
- 1:26:28Speaker 8: know how to be successful sleeping a third of your life.
- 1:26:32Speaker 8: I don't know anyone that made it to success sleeping
- 1:26:37Speaker 8: a third of their life. I just don't know anybody. Now,
- 1:26:42Speaker 8: if you're wealthy, you can sleep eight hours, but if
- 1:26:46Speaker 8: you're trying to get there, I just don't know anybody
- 1:26:49Speaker 8: that's done it that way. And that's all I was
- 1:26:52Speaker 8: trying to speak about. So what I'm about to share
- 1:26:54Speaker 8: with you now is another thing. See, and I want
- 1:26:59Speaker 8: you to understand something about when you see people with
- 1:27:02Speaker 8: what you consider convenient lives. Convenience is built by inconvenience.
- 1:27:12Speaker 8: It's just the way it is. Convenience is built by inconvenience.
- 1:27:19Speaker 8: If you want to have a convenient life, you are
- 1:27:22Speaker 8: going to have to inconvenience yourself on many, many occasions,
- 1:27:29Speaker 8: and it won't be just something every now and then.
- 1:27:32Speaker 8: In order to have a convenient life, you are going
- 1:27:36Speaker 8: to have to spend a great deal of your current
- 1:27:39Speaker 8: life being inconvenient. It's the only way it's done. For
- 1:27:46Speaker 8: every action, there's an equal and opposite reaction. That's a
- 1:27:52Speaker 8: scientific law, but it's also a spiritual law. If you
- 1:27:57Speaker 8: do good to everybody, good will come to you. If
- 1:28:01Speaker 8: you do evil to everybody, evil gonna come your way.
- 1:28:06Speaker 8: So convenience is built through inconvenience.
- 1:28:12Speaker 2: For every action there's an equal and opposite reaction.
- 1:28:16Speaker 8: So if you put out evil, the equal and opposite
- 1:28:22Speaker 8: reaction will be the equal is you gonna get evil to.
- 1:28:27Speaker 8: The opposite is is you won't be putting it out,
- 1:28:29Speaker 8: It'll be coming back to you. So do you understand
- 1:28:31Speaker 8: what I'm trying to say. So, if you want a
- 1:28:34Speaker 8: life of convenience, it is built through inconvenience. Another way
- 1:28:38Speaker 8: to look at it is and what I just had
- 1:28:41Speaker 8: to come to terms with on my journey to success.
- 1:28:44Speaker 2: And this is not a negative, y'all. It's okay because
- 1:28:48Speaker 2: success is very, very hard.
- 1:28:51Speaker 15: It just is.
- 1:28:51Speaker 8: Man. I wish I could tell people it's not hard,
- 1:28:54Speaker 8: but it is. You have to get comfortable being uncomfortable.
- 1:29:03Speaker 8: If you're trying to be comfortable, you're going to have
- 1:29:07Speaker 8: to get okay with being uncomfortable for stretches at a time.
- 1:29:15Speaker 8: I'm sorry, I'm sorry if that doesn't sound right to you.
- 1:29:21Speaker 8: But if you talk to successful people, they will share
- 1:29:24Speaker 8: that information.
- 1:29:25Speaker 2: With you that you have to be comfortable.
- 1:29:28Speaker 8: You have to get comfortable being uncomfortable because it's uncomfortable
- 1:29:33Speaker 8: to become successful.
- 1:29:35Speaker 2: It's inconvenient to become successful.
- 1:29:38Speaker 1: It really really is.
- 1:29:40Speaker 8: But these are things that you have to be willing
- 1:29:42Speaker 8: to cope with to get the equal and opposite reaction.
- 1:29:48Speaker 2: The equal part is.
- 1:29:51Speaker 8: The opposite part is this inconvenience will become convenient.
- 1:29:58Speaker 2: That It's just that's the way it works, man. I
- 1:30:01Speaker 2: wish I could.
- 1:30:03Speaker 8: I don't know if I'm saying it to you the
- 1:30:04Speaker 8: way I want to deliver the message, but I'm just
- 1:30:07Speaker 8: trying to get you to understand that it's okay. But
- 1:30:10Speaker 8: in your moments of uncomfortableness, in your moments of inconvenience.
- 1:30:18Speaker 2: You can rest assured.
- 1:30:21Speaker 8: That God is with you all the way. That God
- 1:30:26Speaker 8: didn't say your life would be easy. Faith doesn't make
- 1:30:30Speaker 8: it easy. Faith makes it possible. And all you want
- 1:30:35Speaker 8: to know is that what I'm going through will create
- 1:30:39Speaker 8: the possibility of me becoming successful. Then I'm willing to
- 1:30:43Speaker 8: go through the necessary pains and gross and everything to
- 1:30:49Speaker 8: become successful. And if you got God in your life,
- 1:30:53Speaker 8: he can give you the strength, the power, the will
- 1:30:58Speaker 8: to endure anything. With Christ, all things are possible. Faith
- 1:31:05Speaker 8: doesn't make it easy. Faith makes it possible. You've got
- 1:31:11Speaker 8: to understand that. That's my message today. That's why I
- 1:31:16Speaker 8: want everybody to gather it and we'll.
- 1:31:18Speaker 21: Talk some Lord.
