- 2:15Speaker 7: real good today.
- 2:17Speaker 8: You ought to feel blessed today. The fact that God
- 2:20Speaker 8: woke you up and gave you another opportunity. You know,
- 2:23Speaker 8: every day you wake up, it's another chance. It's a
- 2:25Speaker 8: chance for all of us to get better, to get
- 2:28Speaker 8: it right, to get on the right path, to stop
- 2:31Speaker 8: heading the wrong way. Every day you wake up, that's
- 2:34Speaker 8: your opportunity. See, because he's gonna keep waking you up
- 2:38Speaker 8: because he has a plan for you. You know, I
- 2:42Speaker 8: don't know, uh you know, I don't.
- 2:45Speaker 2: I don't.
- 2:47Speaker 8: I don't know when he makes his call and you
- 2:50Speaker 8: know who gets called home when I can't explain it,
- 2:53Speaker 8: I don't have that answer. I'm not him, I'm not God.
- 2:56Speaker 8: I don't claim to be.
- 2:57Speaker 2: I don't.
- 2:57Speaker 8: I don't understand it all sometimes, but God has an
- 3:01Speaker 8: amazing way. But as long as he's waking you up.
- 3:04Speaker 2: I do know this.
- 3:05Speaker 8: God ain't through with you yet. God has a plan
- 3:08Speaker 8: for you. Your job is to identify identify the plan.
- 3:13Speaker 8: You know, that's clearly what I need for you to do.
- 3:16Speaker 8: You know, oftentimes the thing that you're looking for, it's
- 3:22Speaker 8: right there inside of you.
- 3:25Speaker 4: You know.
- 3:25Speaker 8: I can't tell you how many people I meet mister Harvey,
- 3:29Speaker 8: Mister Harvey, can't speak to you for many Yeah, Man,
- 3:31Speaker 8: what's up with you?
- 3:33Speaker 2: Man? I was just wondering.
- 3:34Speaker 8: Man, I've been trying to and I want to know, Man,
- 3:36Speaker 8: can you give me a good agent? Can you give
- 3:39Speaker 8: me a good lawyer? Can you give me a good Now? Look,
- 3:42Speaker 8: if you got some legal problems, I understand you're gonna
- 3:44Speaker 8: need some help right there. But the majority of questions
- 3:47Speaker 8: I get asked is about their future, about their place
- 3:50Speaker 8: in this world, about their mission, about what they're trying
- 3:53Speaker 8: to do, how they trying to figure out and then
- 3:56Speaker 8: the how to go about doing it. But the answer
- 3:59Speaker 8: I must remind all of you is always within yourself.
- 4:03Speaker 8: It starts right there. See a lot of people burn
- 4:06Speaker 8: up a lot of time looking around trying to find someone.
- 4:10Speaker 8: If I could just meet them, if I could just
- 4:14Speaker 8: get on her show. Man, if all, if I could
- 4:17Speaker 8: just get to his show, I beat and made it.
- 4:22Speaker 8: That's not necessarily the case. Because See, just like every
- 4:27Speaker 8: time you put your put your faith in a person
- 4:31Speaker 8: or an event or currence or some type of thing
- 4:35Speaker 8: that you imagine yourself being in there and that'll do
- 4:38Speaker 8: it for you. Imagine of all the people who've made
- 4:40Speaker 8: it without you know, I look at everybody. Tell me, Man,
- 4:43Speaker 8: if I could get on so and so show, that'll
- 4:45Speaker 8: do it for me. Man, somebody else got on that
- 4:47Speaker 8: show and they blew up. Man, if I could just
- 4:49Speaker 8: make it to that show, do you know how many
- 4:51Speaker 8: people have made it without that? So see, when you
- 4:55Speaker 8: start focusing in on what your idea of how to
- 4:59Speaker 8: make it is, and your idea of how to make
- 5:01Speaker 8: it does not include your relationship with God, you spinning
- 5:05Speaker 8: your wheels. Man, It's a vicious cycle you in now,
- 5:09Speaker 8: and I'm asking everybody to get out of that cycle.
- 5:11Speaker 8: Get out of looking for someone and something. The answer
- 5:15Speaker 8: is within you. God resides in you. That burning thing
- 5:20Speaker 8: that you have that you just can't get out your head.
- 5:23Speaker 8: That's a seed. God plant that there. That's a seed.
- 5:27Speaker 2: It needs watering, nurturing, fertilizing, and that's what it needs.
- 5:31Speaker 2: It didn't it. Don't ever say, man, I need that
- 5:34Speaker 2: other person right there now.
- 5:36Speaker 8: There are people you will meet that will compliment you,
- 5:38Speaker 8: and I can assure you that God will put you
- 5:40Speaker 8: in the right place at the right time. I'm almost
- 5:43Speaker 8: certain that God will introduce you to everybody you need
- 5:47Speaker 8: to be introduced to to make it to wherever it is.
- 5:50Speaker 8: You all are trying to get to him talking about
- 5:52Speaker 8: you and God now, But the moment you take it
- 5:54Speaker 8: into your own hands and you make the decision as
- 5:57Speaker 8: to who you got to get to, You've just cloudy
- 6:00Speaker 8: and muddy the waters. See God's plan for you don't
- 6:04Speaker 8: really need your help. Oh, it needs your attention, it
- 6:09Speaker 8: needs your focus, it needs your faith, and it needs
- 6:13Speaker 8: your hard work. But He needs you to listen. He
- 6:17Speaker 8: needs you to listen more than anything. Listen, keep the faith,
- 6:21Speaker 8: and be willing to work your tail off. I don't
- 6:25Speaker 8: know how you think it can happen any other way,
- 6:28Speaker 8: But then again I do because I try to make
- 6:32Speaker 8: it another way. So I had to come to the conclusion,
- 6:36Speaker 8: Hey man, listen here, dog just ain't working for you.
- 6:39Speaker 8: You got to get some more God here, man, listen
- 6:42Speaker 8: to me.
- 6:43Speaker 2: The answer was.
- 6:44Speaker 8: Always within me, the moment I sat down with myself
- 6:50Speaker 8: and told myself the truth that aint partner. You ain't
- 6:53Speaker 8: really all that. He ain't partner, regardless as to what
- 6:57Speaker 8: people are seeing and stuff. You ain't happy, Hey Pardner,
- 7:01Speaker 8: this really ain't about you. Hey Pardner, you really ain't
- 7:05Speaker 8: all that good at this. God is keeping you for
- 7:08Speaker 8: a reason. Okay, hold up, Steve, quit tripping.
- 7:11Speaker 2: What I need to do.
- 7:13Speaker 8: I just started talking to myself and then I heard
- 7:16Speaker 8: Bishop Jakes say a couple of things.
- 7:18Speaker 2: Then I was watching TV. I heard Joel Oldstein.
- 7:20Speaker 8: Say a couple of things and I went, wow, man, okay, cool,
- 7:24Speaker 8: that's pretty slick.
- 7:25Speaker 2: I'm gonna try that. And when I did it, it
- 7:27Speaker 2: changed my life.
- 7:29Speaker 8: I am telling you, man, it has been God this
- 7:32Speaker 8: whole time, and the God has been residing inside of me,
- 7:37Speaker 8: just like the God resides on the inside of you.
- 7:40Speaker 2: That's him talking to you, telling you, man, you ought
- 7:42Speaker 2: to get it together. Man making you feel bad.
- 7:46Speaker 8: It's sending you on guilt trips, you knowing you wrong,
- 7:48Speaker 8: and you out there wrong and something telling you you
- 7:51Speaker 8: are not do it.
- 7:53Speaker 2: Here's how you know. It's God.
- 7:55Speaker 8: And Bishop Alma taught me this in his book He's
- 7:57Speaker 8: Got I can't think the name of it right now,
- 8:01Speaker 8: but it's a really good book.
- 8:02Speaker 2: But it says in that man.
- 8:04Speaker 8: Bishop Olmo was talking in this book and he was saying,
- 8:08Speaker 8: the way you know is not God's voice is if
- 8:12Speaker 8: it ain't no sin in it. See how many times
- 8:16Speaker 8: have you made up in your mind, I'm gonna show
- 8:19Speaker 8: this person or I'm gonna show that person, or I'm
- 8:21Speaker 8: gonna get this person back. You hurt me, I'm gonna
- 8:24Speaker 8: hurt you. You know the Lord don't like ugly. I'll
- 8:28Speaker 8: show you well, the Lord don't like ugly. But no
- 8:31Speaker 8: way in that does it's safe for you to go
- 8:33Speaker 8: show them. It doesn't say that. See, so when you
- 8:37Speaker 8: strike out on that mission, you know the God knows
- 8:41Speaker 8: in my heart I loved you, but I got to
- 8:43Speaker 8: do this because you did me. Who wah, whoa whoah,
- 8:45Speaker 8: ain't got nothing to do? With God right there, you
- 8:47Speaker 8: can take him out of it. If it's God, has
- 8:50Speaker 8: no sin in it. So anytime somebody come to me
- 8:55Speaker 8: talking about the Lord told me to do this to you,
- 8:58Speaker 8: and that's the only reason I'm doing. You need to
- 9:00Speaker 8: get yourself right with God. I had all them threats
- 9:03Speaker 8: right there. That ain't God talking to me through you.
- 9:06Speaker 8: What are you crazy? If it's God, it has no
- 9:09Speaker 8: sin in it. So you got to be careful man,
- 9:12Speaker 8: when you talking to people. If we're gonna go down
- 9:14Speaker 8: here and we're gonna do this because this is the
- 9:16Speaker 8: right thing to do. If it has something wrong going on,
- 9:20Speaker 8: then it can't be the right thing to do. It
- 9:23Speaker 8: took me a minute to learn that one. But please
- 9:26Speaker 8: get that through your head so you can quit spending
- 9:28Speaker 8: yourself around and remember everything you're looking for is within you.
- 9:34Speaker 8: It's all right there. Quit wasting your time looking around
- 9:38Speaker 8: all the time. Go to your God, man, talk to him.
- 9:43Speaker 8: Go to that spirit that's on the inside of you
- 9:45Speaker 8: that's calling you. Stop letting people shake your tree. At
- 9:49Speaker 8: the end of the day, somebody gonna be right, somebody
- 9:51Speaker 8: gonna be wrong. All right, y'all, we're gonna have to
- 9:53Speaker 8: go in the day tripping a little bit, going through something.
- 9:59Speaker 2: Show ladies and gentlemen, it is here another great tape.
- 10:04Speaker 9: Man.
- 10:04Speaker 8: Oh man, Man, I'm excited. He just keep on doing it.
- 10:08Speaker 8: He just keeps on showing up. Man, Thank you Heavening Father.
- 10:13Speaker 2: Y'all.
- 10:13Speaker 8: I'm telling you no better way to start your data
- 10:16Speaker 8: than to be grateful. It just opens up the windows
- 10:19Speaker 8: of heaven, makes room for you, and the angels rejoice
- 10:23Speaker 8: when you show gratitude. It's just an amazing thing. And
- 10:27Speaker 8: it just it minimizes the things that's going on in
- 10:31Speaker 8: your life that's not of the positive nature. And it
- 10:34Speaker 8: just helps you realize, man, that God is still on
- 10:37Speaker 8: the throne, still in the blessing business.
- 10:39Speaker 4: Hah.
- 10:39Speaker 8: Shirley Strawberry, Colin Parrell, Mouth of South Junior nephew, Tommy. Yeah,
- 10:46Speaker 8: all us help you up here telling you what's on
- 10:49Speaker 8: your mind.
- 10:50Speaker 10: Let me ask you this man, you did it all now,
- 10:52Speaker 10: I mean you have to tie and then just if
- 10:54Speaker 10: anybody in any biding, uncle, what's your motivation?
- 10:57Speaker 6: What's your wine?
- 10:57Speaker 2: Now?
- 10:58Speaker 8: Well, you gotta have your purpose has changed often in life,
- 11:03Speaker 8: and you got to be conscious of it.
- 11:04Speaker 2: You got to rearrange it all the time. First, it
- 11:06Speaker 2: was about me.
- 11:09Speaker 8: I needed to be successful because I thought I could
- 11:12Speaker 8: help more people that way. But I found out along
- 11:15Speaker 8: the way that your mission is always to help others.
- 11:19Speaker 8: Even on your climb to the top, you have to
- 11:22Speaker 8: extend your hand to help others. I was listening to
- 11:26Speaker 8: Joel Oldstein over the weekend and he was pointing that
- 11:28Speaker 8: out that whenever you need something, don't forget the other
- 11:31Speaker 8: people who need something too, because part of your blessing,
- 11:34Speaker 8: and a huge part of your blessing, comes when you
- 11:37Speaker 8: do something for other people. God blesses you to become
- 11:41Speaker 8: a blessing, and the more of a blessing you are
- 11:43Speaker 8: the other people, the more he'll bless you with. So
- 11:45Speaker 8: you continue to be an even bigger blessing, you see.
- 11:49Speaker 8: And so you've got to make your motivation. It cannot
- 11:53Speaker 8: always be about you. I understand the human side of
- 11:57Speaker 8: it because I suffered from that oftentimes myself.
- 12:00Speaker 2: But the reality of the matter is, it's not about me.
- 12:03Speaker 8: The motivation for me now is purely I would have
- 12:07Speaker 8: to say, the motivation for me now is eighty percent
- 12:10Speaker 8: my family. Eighty percent is my family, you know twenty
- 12:17Speaker 8: you know, of course I'm human. I won't recognition for
- 12:19Speaker 8: my work. You know, that's the human side of it.
- 12:23Speaker 8: But if I don't get the recognition, that's fine because
- 12:27Speaker 8: I changed my want in life anyway I used to
- 12:32Speaker 8: want I used to want rewards, I mean awards. I
- 12:37Speaker 8: changed it from awards to I just want the reward now.
- 12:41Speaker 8: But I just my life now is more into the
- 12:45Speaker 8: awards than the into the rewards as opposed to the awards,
- 12:50Speaker 8: because I thought that's what it was all about. Man,
- 12:53Speaker 8: I got invited to the show, I got a camera seat,
- 12:56Speaker 8: I got to go, I got to go. No, man,
- 12:58Speaker 8: I don't have to do that, because I found out
- 13:02Speaker 8: what God wanted me for is much bigger than that anyway.
- 13:05Speaker 8: So your focus will change about what it is you
- 13:10Speaker 8: want out of life. But as long as you make
- 13:12Speaker 8: it about others and someone else other than you, the
- 13:15Speaker 8: greater your.
- 13:16Speaker 9: Chances of achieving it. I mean, I take that seat
- 13:20Speaker 9: through if you don't want to see seat being empty,
- 13:25Speaker 9: I mean, somebody.
- 13:26Speaker 1: Need to sit there, all right.
- 13:30Speaker 11: Coming up at thirty two minutes after the hour, we'll
- 13:33Speaker 11: hear from the nephew yet again with.
- 13:35Speaker 1: The prank phone call. Is he runs the prank back right.
- 13:38Speaker 11: After this you're listening Morning show, all right, and it's
- 13:43Speaker 11: time now to start your morning off with the nephew
- 13:45Speaker 11: and run that prank back.
- 13:46Speaker 6: What you got for his neph Your husband's prescripture?
- 13:51Speaker 1: Yeah, oh, husband's you always prescript these people.
- 13:56Speaker 2: We got to listen.
- 13:57Speaker 6: Listen, listen, listen, Linda.
- 14:00Speaker 9: People need a prescription. Okay, I'm just calling it, That's
- 14:04Speaker 9: all I'm doing. I'm just calling it. And the man
- 14:07Speaker 9: got ailment or something. So we got to get the
- 14:09Speaker 9: man's of medicine.
- 14:10Speaker 2: Now let's go husband's prescription.
- 14:14Speaker 4: Come on, hello, hello, how you doing? This is pharmacy.
- 14:19Speaker 4: My name is Brian on the tech. Here is mister Donovan. Donovan?
- 14:24Speaker 4: Is he available? Now?
- 14:26Speaker 5: What can I help you with?
- 14:27Speaker 4: Well, he dropped his prescription off about an hour ago.
- 14:30Speaker 4: I wanted to we wanted to call let you guys
- 14:32Speaker 4: know that the prescription is ready, prescription full. Wait, well,
- 14:36Speaker 4: he dropped off a prescription. I'm assuming he must have
- 14:39Speaker 4: looked like the doctor just wrote this prescription today, so
- 14:42Speaker 4: I'm assuming he seems like he would probably need this
- 14:45Speaker 4: pretty soon. So I wanted to let you guys know
- 14:47Speaker 4: it's ready.
- 14:48Speaker 12: Okay, and what exactly did he get a prescription for him.
- 14:52Speaker 4: It's a mox Sicilian, a moxa cilian, a max Oficilian.
- 14:56Speaker 4: We've got him at least fifteen tablets. He could take
- 15:00Speaker 4: two tablets today.
- 15:03Speaker 12: Sorry, Brian, right.
- 15:05Speaker 4: My name is Brian. Yes, I'm the technician here at
- 15:07Speaker 4: the pharmacy.
- 15:07Speaker 12: Okay, well let me okay, Donald, that's my husband. Let
- 15:10Speaker 12: me make sure you have the right down of them,
- 15:12Speaker 12: because well let me can we check the birthdays? Are
- 15:15Speaker 12: you allowed to do that with me?
- 15:17Speaker 4: Definitely? Definitely it's seventy four? Is that correct?
- 15:21Speaker 13: Yes?
- 15:21Speaker 12: Okay? And so what exactly is the mons sicilian for a.
- 15:25Speaker 4: Monticilians an antibiotic man So any type of small infections
- 15:30Speaker 4: of some sort, diseases or whatever, it pretty much cures it.
- 15:34Speaker 12: So you're telling me this nasty? Then got something? Winning
- 15:39Speaker 12: got it on my first off. He want to seem
- 15:42Speaker 12: the doctor and got a prescription under my interest. Just
- 15:44Speaker 12: try and he want to got something you know what?
- 15:47Speaker 12: You know what that Brian, I'm coming down there. I'll
- 15:49Speaker 12: pick up the medicine. I'll get it and if people
- 15:51Speaker 12: want that medicine, he'll check in with me at my
- 15:54Speaker 12: counter because I got a check and he done wrote
- 15:56Speaker 12: that his not cast. I'm gonna beat the hell off this.
- 15:59Speaker 12: He not know, he does not even you know what.
- 16:02Speaker 5: We brought it an year.
- 16:04Speaker 4: I'm sorry, I'm sorry, you're you're uh miss what? What?
- 16:07Speaker 4: What can I call you about? Your first name? What's

- 16:14Speaker 4: Okay? Uh. First of all, I want to apologize. I
- 16:18Speaker 4: had no idea that you were not aware of the
- 16:20Speaker 4: actual prescription that he's that we've just filled for him,
- 16:24Speaker 4: you know, just just on a personal note, I'm just curious,
- 16:27Speaker 4: is there a possibility maybe maybe you could have given
- 16:30Speaker 4: it to him?
- 16:31Speaker 12: Brian Noble, you did you the lost some of my Now,
- 16:35Speaker 12: First off, you don't call my phone. First off, no you.
- 16:37Speaker 12: I'm glad you called my phone to tell me it's
- 16:39Speaker 12: my interns, that's why. And then you excuse me, given
- 16:43Speaker 12: that n something are you going him? Don't you ever
- 16:47Speaker 12: in your life call somebody's fault? And this is a
- 16:50Speaker 12: courty to call this none of your business? What's going
- 16:52Speaker 12: on in my okay, none of your business? You don't
- 16:55Speaker 12: get out of my way. That ain't none of your business.
- 16:58Speaker 12: And now I didn't get it. Nothing to ask you
- 17:00Speaker 12: a questions. I've got something for yo and he want
- 17:03Speaker 12: to come home with STDs and you want to ask
- 17:05Speaker 12: me if I gave him a CD? Oh, okay, was
- 17:07Speaker 12: the manager? Let me speak to your managers, ma'am.
- 17:10Speaker 4: I was just I was, uh, you know, I'm not
- 17:12Speaker 4: trying to be unprofessional. I was just asking a personal question.
- 17:16Speaker 4: I should not have asked you something like that, and
- 17:18Speaker 4: I do apologize. I should we expect someone to pick
- 17:22Speaker 4: up the description.
- 17:23Speaker 12: I just told you, I'm gonna be picking up up.
- 17:25Speaker 12: I'm gonna coming up. You know what, blind, You'll know
- 17:28Speaker 12: who I am because I got I got a couple
- 17:29Speaker 12: of words for y'all, and I still want to speak
- 17:32Speaker 12: to your manager. You did you were very unprofessional and
- 17:34Speaker 12: I don't appreciate you. I'm coming at means I'm going
- 17:37Speaker 12: to eat you. Me telling me he didn't gotten you
- 17:39Speaker 12: a s CD, didn't ask me? Did I give it
- 17:41Speaker 12: a help? And you all of them between mountains.
- 17:44Speaker 4: No, I'm not trying to get all in between your legs, ma'am.
- 17:48Speaker 4: Apparently that's not the place to be considering you guys.
- 17:50Speaker 4: Ne A MAXI Zilla, you know.

- 19:18Speaker 4: I got one more thing to ask. You know, what
- 19:20Speaker 4: is the baddest and I mean the baddest radio show.
- 19:23Speaker 12: In the late Steve By Morning Show.
- 19:28Speaker 2: Stupid enough?
- 19:29Speaker 6: Wow?
- 19:30Speaker 5: Huh?
- 19:31Speaker 1: Always is that? Geniusly?
- 19:34Speaker 2: Stupid enough? And all I can say.
- 19:37Speaker 1: That's saint too much.
- 19:38Speaker 6: You went too far. Apparently that's not the place to be, since.

- 20:23Speaker 1: Right after this, you're listening.
- 20:26Speaker 11: Steve Harvey Morning Show time Now to ask the CLO
- 20:31Speaker 11: Chief Love Officer, Steve Harvey. This one is from Billy
- 20:34Speaker 11: in Ohio. Steve Billy right, but listen to this, Billy Wrights.
- 20:40Speaker 11: I'm tied up in an affair with a woman that
- 20:43Speaker 11: loved to have sex on the back seat of her
- 20:46Speaker 11: Chevy Tahoe. This past Sunday, I was at church with
- 20:51Speaker 11: my wife and she pulled up to the church and
- 20:54Speaker 11: texted me to come outside.
- 20:56Speaker 1: I left church and went to the back seat of
- 21:00Speaker 1: the tahoe.
- 21:02Speaker 11: Afterwards, I nodded that the parking lot got guard and
- 21:07Speaker 11: I went. When I'm back in church the next Sunday,
- 21:10Speaker 11: the security guard told me that my secret was safe
- 21:13Speaker 11: with him. Should I trust him or not?
- 21:16Speaker 8: You got to first of all, dog, First of all,
- 21:19Speaker 8: first of all, should I trust him or not? Let's
- 21:23Speaker 8: start with you stupid, Please, that's a dog.
- 21:29Speaker 2: Crazy.
- 21:30Speaker 8: He's the security guard. You had to climb in the
- 21:33Speaker 8: back seat or y'all had to go into the back seat.
- 21:36Speaker 8: Either way, you went in the back door or you
- 21:38Speaker 8: climbed over the sea. He saw it, and he tells you, hey, man,
- 21:41Speaker 8: your secret safe with me. Should I trust him? Okay,
- 21:44Speaker 8: let's say you don't trust him? What's your next move?
- 21:49Speaker 8: I ain't nothing a hold of hold let me let
- 21:53Speaker 8: me guess you're gonna have him killed?
- 21:58Speaker 9: Dog?
- 21:59Speaker 2: What the hell can you possibly do? Can you trust him?
- 22:05Speaker 4: No?
- 22:06Speaker 2: You're stupid, man. We ain't answering that. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 22:09Speaker 2: you could trust him. Why did you go out there
- 22:11Speaker 2: and get.
- 22:11Speaker 1: In that contact? I can't get past that. It's not
- 22:14Speaker 1: a church church, right?
- 22:16Speaker 4: The church? What?
- 22:18Speaker 2: All right?
- 22:19Speaker 1: Billy, You're on your own, so says the colo. All right.
- 22:22Speaker 11: This one is from new Mommy in Monroe, Louisiana. She says,
- 22:26Speaker 11: I'm a twenty four year old mother of a two
- 22:28Speaker 11: year old boy, and I'm engaged.
- 22:30Speaker 1: To a man that is not my child's dad.
- 22:33Speaker 11: He's planning to adopt my son and he's already talking
- 22:36Speaker 11: about how he's going to discipline him. My son is
- 22:39Speaker 11: at the age where he says no to everything, and
- 22:43Speaker 11: he thinks it's cute. My fiance says it needs to
- 22:46Speaker 11: stop now, and he needs something better than the swat
- 22:49Speaker 11: on his butt that I gave him. He says he
- 22:51Speaker 11: needs a leather strap on his butt. But that's a
- 22:54Speaker 11: bit harsh for a.
- 22:55Speaker 1: Two year old. How can I defend my baby from this.
- 22:58Speaker 8: Well, I think that's a little harsh for two years,
- 23:02Speaker 8: and I grew up getting the spanks, but not at two. Brother,
- 23:06Speaker 8: you need to pull up and you need to talk
- 23:10Speaker 8: to you, to your to your future husband about it,
- 23:14Speaker 8: because obviously he has no children. Anybody talking about striking
- 23:18Speaker 8: the baby at two. I'm just gonna say, you need more.
- 23:23Speaker 8: You need a strap on a two year? Are you
- 23:25Speaker 8: kidding me?
- 23:26Speaker 4: Now?
- 23:26Speaker 2: You can traumatize this, but you need to sit down
- 23:28Speaker 2: and have a talk with him.
- 23:30Speaker 8: And I would suggest y'all probably need to go to
- 23:34Speaker 8: some type of counseling about child wearing because there's so
- 23:37Speaker 8: many other ways to raise children now.
- 23:40Speaker 2: But I cannot.
- 23:41Speaker 8: Condone a guy coming in and talking about he needs
- 23:43Speaker 8: something harder than a little smat on the butt.
- 23:45Speaker 2: I think I think that's dangerous. That's dangerous conversation. Is
- 23:48Speaker 2: this a science ting?
- 23:53Speaker 8: You need to pull up till you get a real
- 23:54Speaker 8: understanding because you can't move this man in his house
- 23:57Speaker 8: and he talking about the house severe he needed.
- 23:59Speaker 1: It's a two year and he's going to adopt this point.
- 24:02Speaker 4: No.
- 24:03Speaker 8: I mean, I appreciate you loving him, but he's got
- 24:05Speaker 8: the wrong idea of discipline.
- 24:07Speaker 2: And definitely the wrong time. Two at a belt. Are
- 24:10Speaker 2: you crazy?
- 24:11Speaker 1: What two year old doesn't say?
- 24:13Speaker 6: No, that's a terrible it's.
- 24:15Speaker 1: A terrible tune.
- 24:16Speaker 2: Yeah, you hey, listen to me. You should buy him
- 24:19Speaker 2: those books. I forgot the name of it.
- 24:21Speaker 8: Everybody used to give it out to pregnant women to
- 24:23Speaker 8: show you the stages of development and a child and
- 24:27Speaker 8: what to look for.
- 24:29Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 24:30Speaker 8: Yeah, and you know, like by two they should be
- 24:32Speaker 8: doing this. Everybody tell you. The first they learn no
- 24:36Speaker 8: in the tubes and they're starting to shape themselves about
- 24:40Speaker 8: likes and digslikes and so no, it is a scientist
- 24:44Speaker 8: say that, I have a problem with.
- 24:46Speaker 2: What you're saying. It's not being contraary.
- 24:48Speaker 11: They just all say no, that's their first little taste
- 24:52Speaker 11: of independence.
- 24:53Speaker 1: Yeah, that's it, that's all it is.
- 24:55Speaker 8: Yeah, they can walk through. H How he messing your
- 25:00Speaker 8: day up because he just said, no issue beyond me.
- 25:03Speaker 1: He told me, no, he's not a good candidate to
- 25:08Speaker 1: me for a husband or a daddy.
- 25:10Speaker 2: Out of the question, Man.
- 25:13Speaker 11: Mickey and Teenack New Jersey says, my sister hooked me
- 25:15Speaker 11: up with one of her coworkers and we went out
- 25:18Speaker 11: on a blind date. The date was great, and she
- 25:20Speaker 11: offered to cook for our second day. I got to
- 25:23Speaker 11: her house ready to eat good, and instead I was
- 25:26Speaker 11: shocked by what I walked into. Her shoes were all
- 25:29Speaker 11: over the entrance to her place, and cat hair was
- 25:31Speaker 11: all on her kitchen seat cushions. I could see her
- 25:34Speaker 11: laundry room from the kitchen and it was full of
- 25:37Speaker 11: piles of dirty underwear. I told her I'd lost to
- 25:40Speaker 11: my appetite and left. Now she's giving my sister grief
- 25:44Speaker 11: at work, and my sister is mad at me.
- 25:46Speaker 1: How is this my fault? Please help me.
- 25:49Speaker 2: It ain't.
- 25:50Speaker 8: I'm not dating a trifle woman. No, you nasty food
- 25:56Speaker 8: all over your house? Cat hairl the thing. We all
- 25:58Speaker 8: want your damn food, nop. I like eating in clean plates.
- 26:02Speaker 8: Now you knew I was coming, You invited me over,
- 26:04Speaker 8: and this is how your house looked. This is knowing
- 26:07Speaker 8: you coming. What's going to happen when she get comfortable
- 26:11Speaker 8: with you coming?
- 26:11Speaker 6: Just pop up?
- 26:13Speaker 2: So people normally put their best foot forward.
- 26:15Speaker 8: If this is the best foot, I don't want see
- 26:17Speaker 8: the other foot, and I don't give damn my sister
- 26:20Speaker 8: mad at me?
- 26:21Speaker 2: You date a NaSTA head?
- 26:22Speaker 11: Yeah, all right, Destiny and Orlando, says, a guy I've
- 26:26Speaker 11: been dating for three years thinks he's a relationship counselor
- 26:29Speaker 11: because he posts videos of his life experiences and girls
- 26:32Speaker 11: flock to his posts for advice. He responds to their
- 26:35Speaker 11: comments and flirts with them. He says, it's all part
- 26:38Speaker 11: of gaining trust, so the women will pay to see
- 26:41Speaker 11: him speak. His first paid event is in two weeks
- 26:43Speaker 11: in Vegas, and he hasn't invited me.
- 26:46Speaker 1: Do I trust the process and let him go? Or
- 26:49Speaker 1: should I buy my own ticket to Vegas?
- 26:52Speaker 4: No?
- 26:52Speaker 8: Look, he's your boyfriend. You didn't get invited. Secondly, why
- 26:57Speaker 8: would you buy a ticket to his event? Thirdly, why
- 27:01Speaker 8: would he not invite you? And fourthly, why are you
- 27:05Speaker 8: trying to hang on to something that don't want to
- 27:07Speaker 8: be held on?
- 27:08Speaker 2: Two three years?
- 27:10Speaker 8: He a dating expert, he'd be flirting. He finna go
- 27:13Speaker 8: to Vegas and flirting?

- 31:06Speaker 2: Jeez?
- 31:09Speaker 1: Did you like jingle bells? Cis Jo Dell?
- 31:12Speaker 14: Well, you know the original version. They changed it when
- 31:15Speaker 14: white people started singing it.
- 31:17Speaker 1: What do you mean? What do you mean like jingle bells?
- 31:21Speaker 1: Jingle bells.
- 31:21Speaker 11: That's nothing.
- 31:23Speaker 2: Used to be jingle bells.
- 31:25Speaker 14: Used to go like this, jangle all, jangle all, jangle.
- 31:33Speaker 1: All, jangle, jingle.
- 31:37Speaker 14: Lord, jangle bells, jingle bells, jangle bells, jingle all away.
- 31:46Speaker 14: God said, jangle bells, jangle bells, jangle all the way.
- 31:53Speaker 2: Then, you know, white folks couldn't do it, so they
- 31:56Speaker 2: had to simplify, you know, to what.
- 32:00Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, what's your version of the bell don't like you?
- 32:07Speaker 2: You know, okay, we're just white.
- 32:10Speaker 1: Yeah, just kill a show. You know that was off
- 32:15Speaker 1: the red nose.
- 32:16Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, that's a good.
- 32:20Speaker 1: Well, you know.

- 32:59Speaker 1: What about like I have a okay for the kids.
- 33:03Speaker 2: Okay, so then listen to me for the kids. Just listening.
- 33:07Speaker 2: This is what's happening.
- 33:09Speaker 14: There's a white man that puts on the suit and
- 33:12Speaker 14: gets in the sledg with twelve reindeer, and they put
- 33:15Speaker 14: him all across the hood and he slams on people's
- 33:18Speaker 14: roof and theyver being shot, and comes down the chimney
- 33:22Speaker 14: and it fetched down everybody's chimney.
- 33:24Speaker 2: Now, if you ain't got the chimney, he comes through
- 33:27Speaker 2: the windows or.
- 33:28Speaker 14: Under the door, and then he loves all the presents,
- 33:32Speaker 14: the stuff you don't want, and that's what he is.
- 33:35Speaker 14: He's just sand across and if you ain't ever got
- 33:38Speaker 14: what you wanted, that pretty much explains.
- 33:46Speaker 4: Well.
- 33:47Speaker 1: All I can say to that is thank you, sister Odell.
- 33:53Speaker 1: Shit the snow hawks open you coming up next to.

- 34:42Speaker 10: is called a Christmas story. And you know this is
- 34:46Speaker 10: something that parents do pretty much on Christmas Eve, and
- 34:50Speaker 10: here it is go to bed. I'm talking at least
- 34:55Speaker 10: a royal Fred. You heard exactly what I said. I
- 34:58Speaker 10: ain't gonna tell you no more, go to bed. Sanna
- 35:01Speaker 10: ain't coming by here. Don't cry, no, no, wipe your tears.
- 35:06Speaker 10: Y'all heard what I said. Now what did I tell you?
- 35:09Speaker 1: Kids?

- 35:12Speaker 10: Okay, Then now if I come up to them stairs,
- 35:15Speaker 10: don't get scared because y'all know why I'm.
- 35:17Speaker 1: Wooping, asked. Then you go to bed at d n.
- 35:22Speaker 8: What there's no Christmas a love of any traumatie I've
- 35:31Speaker 8: ever heard in my life that Christmas Eve.
- 35:35Speaker 2: Go to bed.
- 35:37Speaker 1: Wait a minute, Sanna ain't coming.
- 35:39Speaker 15: You know you can't stay up and see Sam. Kids
- 35:44Speaker 15: know they can't stay up.

- 50:42Speaker 10: time for the strawberry Little my friend Shirlie Straupberry.
- 50:45Speaker 4: Thank you.
- 50:46Speaker 11: My friend Junior's subject, what happened his ex wife got
- 50:52Speaker 11: a real Christmas tree is the subject of this letter
- 50:55Speaker 11: for today. Dear Stephen Shirley, I'm on my second marriage
- 50:59Speaker 11: and there's a issue in my marriage. My husband was
- 51:02Speaker 11: married for eighteen years and he's got two daughters and
- 51:05Speaker 11: joint custody of them.
- 51:07Speaker 1: I have a daughter that lives with us. We've blended
- 51:09Speaker 1: the family nicely.
- 51:11Speaker 11: And his daughters are sweet to my daughter, but they
- 51:14Speaker 11: like to remind her that their father is not her father.
- 51:17Speaker 11: My husband is not good at setting boundaries for his
- 51:20Speaker 11: ex wife. When we started dating, he let me know
- 51:23Speaker 11: that he and his ex are friends and whatever he
- 51:26Speaker 11: does for her is for his daughters. I can accept that,
- 51:30Speaker 11: but when it gets to be too much, I step
- 51:32Speaker 11: in to help him set boundaries. The other day, he
- 51:35Speaker 11: told me that since his ex wife and the girls
- 51:38Speaker 11: moved into a new house, he wanted to buy his
- 51:41Speaker 11: daughters a nice Christmas tree. I was against it, but
- 51:45Speaker 11: then I realized his daughter's feelings. Then I considered his
- 51:50Speaker 11: daughter's feelings and I agree to it. We got a
- 51:52Speaker 11: little seven foot artificial tree out of the storage room
- 51:55Speaker 11: and I went and bought new ornaments. Saturday, he told
- 51:59Speaker 11: me he was picking up his daughters to get a tree,
- 52:02Speaker 11: and he took my daughter with them. I wasn't invited.
- 52:06Speaker 11: Two hours after they left, my daughter posted a video
- 52:09Speaker 11: in her Instagram story and they were shopping for a
- 52:12Speaker 11: real tree. They picked a giant, beautiful, real, fluffy tree.
- 52:17Speaker 11: I had assumed they would go to Walmart and buy
- 52:20Speaker 11: an artificial tree. My daughter said they took the tree
- 52:23Speaker 11: to his ex wife's house and he set it up
- 52:26Speaker 11: for them. He set it up for them and they
- 52:27Speaker 11: decorated it together. I was crushed because I decorated our
- 52:31Speaker 11: fake tree alone while they were gone. My husband always
- 52:35Speaker 11: justifies things by saying that his daughter shouldn't suffer because
- 52:38Speaker 11: he left their mother.
- 52:40Speaker 1: Does he do it out of guilt? Will his ex
- 52:42Speaker 1: wife be forever a part of our family?
- 52:46Speaker 3: Well?
- 52:47Speaker 1: Yeah, in a sense.
- 52:48Speaker 11: She may not be a part of your family, okay,
- 52:51Speaker 11: but she is the mother of your husband's daughters, and
- 52:54Speaker 11: those are your stepdaughters. So the ex will always be
- 52:58Speaker 11: in your life somehow, Okay, as long as you know
- 53:01Speaker 11: she's got the daughters and everything. You know, my issue
- 53:06Speaker 11: is with you though, really, I mean, this is kind
- 53:08Speaker 11: of petty. You're worried about a Christmas tree here. I
- 53:11Speaker 11: think you're saying it's about that, but what it really
- 53:14Speaker 11: is is that you don't want your man over there,
- 53:16Speaker 11: and you don't want him over there doing stuff for
- 53:18Speaker 11: them like putting up the tree. As a family. I
- 53:21Speaker 11: think you're jealous when where this is concerned. But I'm
- 53:25Speaker 11: telling you don't be insecure. Because he still wants to
- 53:28Speaker 11: spend time with his daughters. That means he's a good dad. Okay,
- 53:32Speaker 11: He's right. He left their mom, not his kids, so
- 53:36Speaker 11: he wants to continue to show up in their life
- 53:38Speaker 11: for them as their father.
- 53:40Speaker 1: He and the ex don't have anything going on.
- 53:43Speaker 11: I mean, if you guys can afford it, why don't
- 53:46Speaker 11: you You know, if there's something wrong with your tree,
- 53:49Speaker 11: why don't you and your husband and the girls go
- 53:52Speaker 11: out and get a tree. You didn't have to stay
- 53:54Speaker 11: there and decorate the tree by yourself. You could have
- 53:56Speaker 11: waited until they came home and you guys could have
- 53:59Speaker 11: done it together.
- 54:00Speaker 1: You know, he just went with the girls to get
- 54:03Speaker 1: a new tree.
- 54:04Speaker 11: You need to talk to him if you have a
- 54:05Speaker 11: problem with how he's moving right now, but he sounds
- 54:08Speaker 11: like a father who's just trying to do the right
- 54:10Speaker 11: thing to me. As crazy as that all seems, it sounds. Yeah,
- 54:14Speaker 11: I don't have a problem with this, Steve.
- 54:17Speaker 2: Well, it's a twofold situation. In my eyes.
- 54:22Speaker 8: He's being a good dad and he's being punished for that.
- 54:26Speaker 8: But he's doing it, and he's making a couple of
- 54:28Speaker 8: mistakes the way he's doing it. You know, first of all,
- 54:34Speaker 8: when y'all this is both of y'all second marriage, he
- 54:38Speaker 8: set this whole thing up by.
- 54:40Speaker 2: Telling you that, you know, look, but I'm gonna do stuff.
- 54:48Speaker 8: With a daughter, and I'm gonna do stuff for my daughter,
- 54:50Speaker 8: and I'm gonna do stuff for her, but the reason
- 54:52Speaker 8: I'm doing it for her is for my daughter. He
- 54:55Speaker 8: set all of this up with you in the beginning
- 54:58Speaker 8: because he's active in their life, as he should be.
- 55:02Speaker 8: Now you all say, you all have blended the family
- 55:04Speaker 8: together nicely, But the daughters are sweet to your daughter,
- 55:06Speaker 8: but they always remind her that ain't your daddy.
- 55:09Speaker 2: They do that. Kids gonna be kids, They gonna jockey
- 55:11Speaker 2: for position.
- 55:13Speaker 8: Your husband is not good with setting boundaries for his
- 55:16Speaker 8: ex wife and his ex wife is flexing because she
- 55:22Speaker 8: has two kids with him, and she's taking advantage of it. Now,
- 55:27Speaker 8: let's get to the whole thing about what this letter
- 55:29Speaker 8: is about. His ex got a real Christmas tree. First
- 55:34Speaker 8: of all, when he picked up the daughter, when he
- 55:37Speaker 8: picked up his two daughters, and he took your daughter.
- 55:43Speaker 8: He took your daughter, which is his daughter, which is
- 55:47Speaker 8: to with his biological daughters, because he wanted to get
- 55:51Speaker 8: them a tree because they had moved into a new house. Well,
- 55:57Speaker 8: now here the problem you made though when you took
- 56:01Speaker 8: your daughter from your new wife with you, and she
- 56:07Speaker 8: posted it on a story. So I'm assuming that these
- 56:12Speaker 8: might these might be teenage kids if they can post
- 56:15Speaker 8: on stories and stuff.
- 56:16Speaker 11: Wait a minute, what did you say? Wait, say that
- 56:19Speaker 11: one more time, Steve, about the daughters. What just I
- 56:26Speaker 11: just wanted you to say.
- 56:27Speaker 1: That one more time?
- 56:27Speaker 11: What you said about the daughters. He has two daughters
- 56:30Speaker 11: with his ex. He has two daughters with his ex,
- 56:33Speaker 11: and then the wife had a daughter. The new wife
- 56:35Speaker 11: has a second wife has a daughter.
- 56:37Speaker 8: Okay, but see, and that's his daughter. Oh he has
- 56:41Speaker 8: three daughters. Now, yeah, right right, separate them. If you
- 56:46Speaker 8: separate them, they will help.
- 56:47Speaker 2: You separate that. Yes, yeah, maybe that's what the deal is.
- 56:50Speaker 8: When I come back, I'm gonna tell you the mistake
- 56:52Speaker 8: he's making with this. He's a great dad, but he's
- 56:55Speaker 8: making a mistakes.
- 56:56Speaker 6: All Right.
- 56:56Speaker 11: We'll have part two of Steve's response coming up at
- 56:59Speaker 11: twenty three minutes after the hour. Today's Strawberry letter subject
- 57:03Speaker 11: is his ex wife got a real Christmas tree. We'll
- 57:06Speaker 11: get back into it right after this. You're listening hard
- 57:11Speaker 11: Morning show. All right, Steve, come on, let's recap today's
- 57:14Speaker 11: Strawberry letter. The subject his ex wife got a real
- 57:17Speaker 11: Christmas tree.
- 57:18Speaker 2: Okay, So on the break, I read this letter again.
- 57:20Speaker 2: This marriage.
- 57:21Speaker 8: This man was married to this woman for eighteen years
- 57:23Speaker 8: and they got two daughters. His ex wife was married
- 57:26Speaker 8: eighteen years and they got two daughters. So I'm going
- 57:28Speaker 8: to assume that these two daughters are teenager, yeah, because
- 57:31Speaker 8: they got Instagram and they posted stories.
- 57:34Speaker 4: You.
- 57:35Speaker 8: She the woman he's married to now, who's writing this letter.
- 57:39Speaker 8: She has a daughter from her previous marriage. I don't
- 57:42Speaker 8: know how she is, but they treat her nicely, but
- 57:47Speaker 8: they do remind her that he's not your real daddy.
- 57:50Speaker 8: That's our real daddy. But they treat her nicely, and
- 57:53Speaker 8: you all have been and they're sweet to the girl.
- 57:56Speaker 2: Okay. Cool, So we got that out the way.
- 57:59Speaker 8: Now the man's this up by telling you, listen, I'm
- 58:02Speaker 8: gonna do some things for my wife, my ex wife,
- 58:04Speaker 8: because we're friends, but everything I do first because of
- 58:07Speaker 8: the daughters. You're okay with that. Now let's get to
- 58:11Speaker 8: what the problem is. It's a Christmas tree. He the
- 58:15Speaker 8: ex wife and the two daughters that moved into a
- 58:18Speaker 8: new house. He wants to get them a nice tree
- 58:21Speaker 8: for their house for Christmas. Okay, So he takes your daughter,
- 58:27Speaker 8: which is his daughter from this marriage, Christmas tree shopping
- 58:33Speaker 8: with his daughters from his previous marriage, and he goes
- 58:36Speaker 8: and buys them a real Christmas tree, big old fluffy tree.
- 58:42Speaker 8: You'd have went to the storage room and went out
- 58:45Speaker 8: there and got that little ragged ass Sears tree seven
- 58:48Speaker 8: feet call in the box, man, that's in the box.
- 58:53Speaker 2: That you've been putting up for years. And so now.
- 58:59Speaker 8: You bought some ornaments for the treat, some new ornaments.
- 59:04Speaker 8: They went tree shopping. You look on Instagram, your daughter
- 59:09Speaker 8: that posted they bought a tree. They take the tree
- 59:14Speaker 8: to his ex wife's house where his daughters live. They
- 59:17Speaker 8: set the tree up and they all decorated. Now, you
- 59:21Speaker 8: said earlier they went Christmas tree shopping and you weren't invited. Okay,
- 59:26Speaker 8: it was just him and the girls. So that's cool
- 59:29Speaker 8: because the tree is for the girls. But it's at
- 59:31Speaker 8: the ex wife's house. I mean, that's what he said.
- 59:36Speaker 8: So in a way, this would be cool. Here's the
- 59:39Speaker 8: mistake he's making. You got to not make them kids
- 59:46Speaker 8: feel and see a difference. You've got to go above
- 59:52Speaker 8: and beyond in treating them the same. And even this
- 59:57Speaker 8: is not your stepdaughter, this is your daughter. If the
- 1:00:01Speaker 8: daughters get a real tree, everybody get a real tree. See,
- 1:00:05Speaker 8: he should have bought two real trees, is what he
- 1:00:08Speaker 8: should have did. Because you can't make the quote unquote
- 1:00:14Speaker 8: step daughter feel step See.
- 1:00:16Speaker 2: The reason we never used the word.
- 1:00:18Speaker 8: Step in our family was because when you say step child,
- 1:00:22Speaker 8: it's usually like a step down, and it's like a
- 1:00:28Speaker 8: step down from the level that the regular children on.
- 1:00:30Speaker 8: That's why we never used that term. So now, but
- 1:00:33Speaker 8: you can't let them see or feel the difference. Now,
- 1:00:37Speaker 8: if his daughter's got a big fluffy Christmas tree, he
- 1:00:40Speaker 8: should have got a big Christmas tree at his house too.
- 1:00:43Speaker 8: That's the mistake he made. Yes, that would that that
- 1:00:47Speaker 8: would have cleared this whole thing up. And bruh, that's
- 1:00:50Speaker 8: all you got to do. Everybody got to get equal
- 1:00:53Speaker 8: and like treatment period. And you can't have your new
- 1:00:58Speaker 8: wife feeling some kind of way because you're doing all
- 1:01:00Speaker 8: this extra stuff for your ex wife, because that's how
- 1:01:03Speaker 8: she looking at that too. Oh, she got a tree,
- 1:01:06Speaker 8: and y'all all decorate the tree together. I didn't know
- 1:01:09Speaker 8: you was gonna go over there and put it up
- 1:01:10Speaker 8: and decorate it together. I wanted to surprise y'all when
- 1:01:13Speaker 8: you came home. Y'all come home late. I done decorated
- 1:01:16Speaker 8: the tree by myself, and y'all ass was over there
- 1:01:19Speaker 8: having family time.
- 1:01:21Speaker 4: Right.
- 1:01:22Speaker 8: You see why she said? You see now she gonna
- 1:01:24Speaker 8: be upset about that dog. And this is your mom
- 1:01:27Speaker 8: because you gotta do everything equal. If you're over there
- 1:01:30Speaker 8: having hot chocolate, you got to come home have hot chold.
- 1:01:36Speaker 8: You'd bought the Voka pound cake from Nama Marcus over there,
- 1:01:40Speaker 8: you got to come in your house with the Voka
- 1:01:42Speaker 8: pound cake. Okay, you know see that's what you gotta
- 1:01:46Speaker 8: do now, bro, that's the mistake you make and you've
- 1:01:50Speaker 8: got to sit your husband down and say, hey, listen,
- 1:01:53Speaker 8: we can't feel like with second class citizens when it
- 1:01:58Speaker 8: comes to special events, while your ex and your biological
- 1:02:02Speaker 8: children get all the perpse. So I think that's unfair.
- 1:02:07Speaker 8: So you can do whatever you want to do for them.
- 1:02:09Speaker 8: I'm not stopping you, but you needed to start doing
- 1:02:12Speaker 8: the same thing over here. See that real big fluffy
- 1:02:14Speaker 8: treat that was beautiful, but that would look good in
- 1:02:17Speaker 8: this house too.
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: Yeah, they should get one, you see.
- 1:02:20Speaker 2: Because they had a new house. He feels like they
- 1:02:22Speaker 2: should get a new treat. Well. Well, well, and you
- 1:02:25Speaker 2: got to get to everybody else a new tree.
- 1:02:26Speaker 11: Though, something a thought came to my head because a
- 1:02:29Speaker 11: lot of mothers have mom guilt.
- 1:02:31Speaker 1: Do dads have dad guilt as well? Is that what
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: he's dealing with? Dad guilt as well?
- 1:02:37Speaker 8: Yeah, because he said in the letter they can't pay
- 1:02:42Speaker 8: because I left their.
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: Mother right right, left their mother, not them.
- 1:02:49Speaker 2: See. But then also now the you gotta be careful
- 1:02:53Speaker 2: of the Disney dad.
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: Syndrome too, Yeah, exactly.
- 1:02:56Speaker 2: See when you do.
- 1:02:57Speaker 8: See the kids, you can't be Disney Dad. And then
- 1:03:00Speaker 8: all of a sudden you go home to your family
- 1:03:03Speaker 8: ain't no Disney, right, it's just the old tree.
- 1:03:09Speaker 2: You got Disney dad mode all the way round board, bro.
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: Yeah all right.
- 1:03:13Speaker 11: Post your comments on Today's Strawberry Letter at Steve HARBFM
- 1:03:16Speaker 11: on Instagram and Facebook, and check out the Strawberry Letter
- 1:03:19Speaker 11: podcast on demand you're listening.
- 1:03:23Speaker 1: Hard Morning show.

- 1:03:42Speaker 11: year or so or in the past period. And who

- 1:05:31Speaker 10: Like my sister getting every job application pamp it I
- 1:05:34Speaker 10: can find, Oh it just got since she can't talk
- 1:05:38Speaker 10: about they can't find the world I see now hid
- 1:05:40Speaker 10: every day I will.
- 1:05:43Speaker 8: Think, I think we just saw the best take a
- 1:05:47Speaker 8: hit gift. If I pick you up to go shopping
- 1:05:50Speaker 8: and I put your ass in the back seat because

- 1:06:16Speaker 2: Damn it. Let this sit for at least twenty minutes.
- 1:06:22Speaker 6: All right, lookyboy, can't win natural hair? Aybody can't do that.

- 1:06:52Speaker 11: but sorry about that.
- 1:06:53Speaker 2: It's not your fault. It's not your fault.
- 1:06:55Speaker 1: It's your fault. Jay, You wrote it.
- 1:06:57Speaker 6: So let's move.
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: Bring it because I wanted to apologize. Yeah, and I
- 1:07:04Speaker 1: knew it when I said it, when it came out

- 1:08:20Speaker 16: Let go comedy, Yeah, it was a comedy roulette. Stupid
- 1:08:25Speaker 16: conversations people come up with to keep you on the phone.

- 1:08:32Speaker 4: Now?
- 1:08:32Speaker 2: Did I?
- 1:08:34Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 1:08:35Speaker 5: You had to say that.
- 1:08:38Speaker 10: Stupid stupid conversations people say to keep you on the phone.
- 1:08:44Speaker 15: When you heard off the grid had a spleen removed,
- 1:08:46Speaker 15: he going vegan? Now did I tell you that?
- 1:08:50Speaker 4: What?
- 1:08:51Speaker 1: What is the world?

- 1:08:56Speaker 11: Yeah?

- 1:09:09Speaker 2: Jail for stealing money out of the collection.
- 1:09:11Speaker 6: Play at the church.
- 1:09:12Speaker 2: You know that, don't.
- 1:09:15Speaker 6: Yeah, Gary's sister's husbands boyfriend.
- 1:09:18Speaker 1: Yeah, that's another thirty minutes, right, Yeah, you got to

- 1:11:25Speaker 6: All right.
- 1:11:26Speaker 11: So, along with fastening your seat belt and placing your
- 1:11:28Speaker 11: seat in an upright position, flight crews always ask us
- 1:11:31Speaker 11: to put our cell phones in airplane mode before takeoff. Well,
- 1:11:35Speaker 11: come to find out, only forty percent of passengers actually
- 1:11:38Speaker 11: do it. The FAA believes that cell phones may interfere
- 1:11:42Speaker 11: with the cockpit take off, during takeoff and landing, but
- 1:11:45Speaker 11: there are no.
- 1:11:45Speaker 1: Real studies to prove if this is true or not.
- 1:11:48Speaker 11: So Steve, I got to ask you, do you do
- 1:11:50Speaker 11: you put your cell phone in airplane mode on your jet?
- 1:11:54Speaker 4: Do you do that?
- 1:11:54Speaker 11: No?
- 1:11:55Speaker 8: No, I don't put my phone on airplane mode on
- 1:11:58Speaker 8: commercial flight.
- 1:12:01Speaker 2: I'm part of the problem.
- 1:12:03Speaker 6: You are part of the problem.
- 1:12:06Speaker 2: Why not let everybody else put theirs on airplane mode?
- 1:12:10Speaker 1: And they did and we do, and.
- 1:12:16Speaker 2: Yeah, something that is happening. I got to be able
- 1:12:19Speaker 2: to call somebody.
- 1:12:21Speaker 8: Yeah no, you know, seriously, like Okay, for example, let's

- 1:14:31Speaker 8: ever heard in my life.
- 1:14:33Speaker 1: That's Christmas Eve.
- 1:14:35Speaker 3: Go to bed.
- 1:14:38Speaker 1: Wait a minute, Santa ain't coming.
- 1:14:40Speaker 15: You know you can't stay up to see Santa. Kids
- 1:14:44Speaker 15: know they can't stay up.
- 1:14:46Speaker 10: They always I don't even want to live there. We
- 1:14:52Speaker 10: miss we miss nothing. No, that's the story I got
- 1:14:55Speaker 10: every Christmas Eve.
- 1:14:55Speaker 1: I never go to it.
- 1:14:56Speaker 10: I don't want to see Sam. Hell, you mean, who
- 1:14:59Speaker 10: don't want to see the man? I said on the left,
- 1:15:00Speaker 10: he said he's coming by the house. What I'm what,
- 1:15:02Speaker 10: I'm gonna go to bed? You know what's going on
- 1:15:06Speaker 10: down there? Why did you have traumatized? You ain't never
- 1:15:09Speaker 10: been told to go to bed on Cristzi.
- 1:15:11Speaker 2: We are not traumatized. It's the kids were concerned about.
- 1:15:15Speaker 13: The kids are yelling and that's what all they was saying.
- 1:15:20Speaker 13: All they yelling, Junior, Hey, hey, go to bed.
- 1:15:28Speaker 2: When I wake up and come downstairs the next day.
- 1:15:31Speaker 8: Where is the broyhim about the Christmas carols and.
- 1:15:34Speaker 1: The egg dog and what is that?
- 1:15:36Speaker 2: Rains and Santa Claus coming down? That that what happened.
- 1:15:41Speaker 15: I ain't none of that in here.
- 1:15:43Speaker 1: This is what I wrote.
- 1:15:45Speaker 15: That's the wonder about how Christmas is threshing?
- 1:15:47Speaker 2: Run to get your ass beat down.
- 1:15:49Speaker 1: That's that's it. There, You got them, Junior, I am traumatized.
- 1:15:56Speaker 10: What you gonna think that's gonna be saying? On criticized castle. Yeah, Steve,
- 1:16:10Speaker 10: you know you can't sit up all night long?
- 1:16:12Speaker 2: You know why? And go away?
- 1:16:17Speaker 1: All right?
- 1:16:18Speaker 11: Coming up our last break of the day and some
- 1:16:20Speaker 11: closing remarks from the one and only Steve Harvey.
- 1:16:24Speaker 1: Right after this, we'll be back at forty nine after you're.
- 1:16:28Speaker 11: Listening Harvey Morning Show all right, here we are our
- 1:16:32Speaker 11: last break of the day.
- 1:16:33Speaker 1: It's been a good day. Huh good day. Yeah, yeah day, Yeah,
- 1:16:37Speaker 1: good day.
- 1:16:38Speaker 11: And the only thing that will make it better is you.
- 1:16:41Speaker 11: Steve Harvey with some closing remarks, what do you have
- 1:16:43Speaker 11: for us today?
- 1:16:45Speaker 8: Well, you know, I kind of wanted to share something
- 1:16:48Speaker 8: with you all that I was doing my meditation. I
- 1:16:51Speaker 8: was reading this morning and it hit me because I've
- 1:16:56Speaker 8: often said, you know, after show or something, I was
- 1:17:00Speaker 8: just you know, sometimes I just try to say some
- 1:17:03Speaker 8: positive people. And one time I was talking after the
- 1:17:05Speaker 8: show and I told people, I said, you know, there's
- 1:17:08Speaker 8: a scripture that quotes something to this effect that God
- 1:17:13Speaker 8: comes to give you life and give you life more abundantly.
- 1:17:17Speaker 2: And so I said, that's what began.
- 1:17:18Speaker 8: The process of me asking for my abundance was because
- 1:17:23Speaker 8: of this scripture. And I just don't think this is
- 1:17:26Speaker 8: just my walk with him, that as a Christian or
- 1:17:29Speaker 8: a believer or a person of faith, that you should
- 1:17:33Speaker 8: have to struggle through everything. You're going to have challenges,
- 1:17:37Speaker 8: You're going to have struggles, but in every aspect of
- 1:17:40Speaker 8: your life. I mean, come on, something has to change
- 1:17:43Speaker 8: for you. And so in this scripture, it was saying
- 1:17:46Speaker 8: that he comes to give you life and give you
- 1:17:48Speaker 8: life more abundantly. I always thought that the abundance that
- 1:17:53Speaker 8: he was talking about was material things, financial, blessings, you know,
- 1:18:02Speaker 8: things of that nature. But I've learned recently through my
- 1:18:07Speaker 8: studies that he comes to give you abundant life does
- 1:18:11Speaker 8: not just mean things. It means peace of mind. It
- 1:18:16Speaker 8: means awareness of all his goodness.
- 1:18:20Speaker 2: It means not.
- 1:18:21Speaker 8: Worrying about tomorrow or having regrets about the past, which
- 1:18:26Speaker 8: issues out a lot of a lot of wasted energy.
- 1:18:32Speaker 8: It means things like that that he's present in your life,
- 1:18:38Speaker 8: that you're aware of all the good things, that your
- 1:18:41Speaker 8: eyes are open to all he's done for you. And
- 1:18:46Speaker 8: the big part of it is that he gives you
- 1:18:49Speaker 8: your daily bread, that today is a very very special day,
- 1:18:53Speaker 8: and because it's unlike any other day you've ever had,
- 1:18:57Speaker 8: and He's given you a new day. So when it
- 1:19:01Speaker 8: comes to talking about an abundant life, I had to
- 1:19:04Speaker 8: stop thinking that it was just talking about things or
- 1:19:07Speaker 8: money and objects, innate objects, that really he's talking about
- 1:19:11Speaker 8: an abundant life through having a peace of mind, to
- 1:19:15Speaker 8: having a realization that you have a companion who is
- 1:19:18Speaker 8: not only your friend, but he's also your king, you know,
- 1:19:22Speaker 8: your sovereign lord. That's what he means by abundant life,
- 1:19:27Speaker 8: that you come to the realization.
- 1:19:29Speaker 2: That you're not alone in this matter.
- 1:19:32Speaker 8: You come to the understanding that you have a very
- 1:19:35Speaker 8: present help if you just invited me in that can
- 1:19:38Speaker 8: help you deal, cope, handle, and understand anything that happens
- 1:19:44Speaker 8: in your life. That's what I came to the conclusion
- 1:19:48Speaker 8: that having a life and having life more abundantly stood for.
- 1:19:53Speaker 8: And once I came to this realization, it opened up
- 1:19:56Speaker 8: a whole nother way of thinking for me, because it's
- 1:20:00Speaker 8: it's just an amazing thing when you understand that you
- 1:20:03Speaker 8: can have a say so in today and all you
- 1:20:07Speaker 8: have to do is worry about today. I mean, concern
- 1:20:09Speaker 8: yourself with today's matters and don't worry about tomorrow, and
- 1:20:14Speaker 8: don't show no regrets for the past, and you can
- 1:20:17Speaker 8: have a life of abundance because you will now be
- 1:20:19Speaker 8: living in the moment, in the presence, and you'll have
- 1:20:23Speaker 8: his presence because you invited it me in even closer.
- 1:20:26Speaker 8: That's what I learned about the abundant life, that it
- 1:20:29Speaker 8: doesn't just mean monetary or physical things that it actually
- 1:20:34Speaker 8: means peace of mind, presence, a very present help in
- 1:20:39Speaker 8: the time of trouble, a relationship, someone who gets it,
- 1:20:44Speaker 8: who's always there. That's what that means. And that's what
- 1:20:48Speaker 8: I wanted you all to think about today. So when
- 1:20:51Speaker 8: you ask God to give you life and he promised
- 1:20:53Speaker 8: to give you life and give it to you more abundantly,
- 1:20:56Speaker 8: think about what the whole abundant thing is really about.
- 1:21:00Speaker 8: Sent a lot of time thinking it was just a
- 1:21:02Speaker 8: reference to finances or money or you know, it's not.
- 1:21:08Speaker 8: It's so much more. And today I had an abundant
- 1:21:12Speaker 8: life because today I didn't worry about tomorrow and today,
- 1:21:17Speaker 8: because that's burdening yourself with something you can't do nothing about.
- 1:21:20Speaker 2: And I didn't wear half only no regrets for my
- 1:21:23Speaker 2: former life, Tada.
- 1:21:25Speaker 8: I had an abundant day today and it caused me
- 1:21:29Speaker 8: to realize, really, man, you bless you got an abundant life.
- 1:21:33Speaker 2: That's what I wanted to share with you. Those my
- 1:21:35Speaker 2: clothing remarks today. Wow, See I got a little time
- 1:21:38Speaker 2: on the back end, but that's what I realized. I
- 1:21:39Speaker 2: just wanted to share that with you.
- 1:21:40Speaker 1: Thank you for that.
- 1:21:41Speaker 11: Yeah, great, because when you do. When I first heard it,
- 1:21:45Speaker 11: I thought the same thing with you're you know me too?
- 1:21:47Speaker 2: Yeah, I really did.
- 1:21:50Speaker 8: I was convinced that what it was. But I was
- 1:21:52Speaker 8: doing my meditation this morning and I was reading this
- 1:21:55Speaker 8: section that explains a lot of stuff, and I said,
- 1:21:58Speaker 8: wait a minute, minute, No, abundant life is. He gives
- 1:22:02Speaker 8: you a peace of mind for today. He gives you
- 1:22:05Speaker 8: awareness of His presence for today, and therefore it gives
- 1:22:09Speaker 8: you a total and then it causes you to be
- 1:22:12Speaker 8: grateful for what you have today, and it opens up
- 1:22:14Speaker 8: your eyes to everything that's happening in your world right now.
- 1:22:18Speaker 8: Because by worrying, I watch this, surely, Luke twelve and
- 1:22:23Speaker 8: twenty five. What by worrying, Luke twelve and twenty five,
- 1:22:29Speaker 8: by worrying, you cannot add one hour to you?
- 1:22:34Speaker 2: So by not being able to do that?
- 1:22:36Speaker 6: Yes, all right, to be with Kanye and go ahead.
- 1:22:46Speaker 1: I don't know about that ministry.
- 1:22:49Speaker 2: I love it.
- 1:22:53Speaker 15: Hey, you know what, how much height do you get
- 1:22:55Speaker 15: with a thirteen thousand dollars tree?
- 1:22:56Speaker 1: How big is that?
- 1:22:59Speaker 2: Twenty twenty feet? Easy boy, you gotta have you gotta
- 1:23:03Speaker 2: have really tall seals.
- 1:23:05Speaker 1: Take us out, Steve.
