- 1:41Speaker 1: to turnout. Turn You got to turn them out. Then

- 2:01Speaker 1: Uh huh. I show will good morning everybody. You're listening
- 2:05Speaker 1: to the voice, Come on dig me now one and only.
- 2:08Speaker 1: Uh huh. Steve Harvey got a radio show, Yeah you do.
- 2:12Speaker 1: Steve Harvey got a radio show. But like I said
- 2:14Speaker 1: the other day, you got something too, though, don't you.
- 2:16Speaker 1: God hadn't done something wonderful for you. You just gotta
- 2:19Speaker 1: thank Him for it, you know, in the midst of
- 2:22Speaker 1: all that's going on in my life and in your life.
- 2:26Speaker 1: You know, I always use myself as an example because well,
- 2:30Speaker 1: I mean that way. I guarantee one hundred percent I
- 2:33Speaker 1: know what I'm talking about. Um, here's the situation, you know,
- 2:37Speaker 1: with everything that's going on in my life and all
- 2:40Speaker 1: the things I'm asking God for in the midst of
- 2:44Speaker 1: a taxing and a very trying situation. That's very challenging
- 2:50Speaker 1: for me right now. Man, God just keeps on, keeps
- 2:55Speaker 1: on surprising me. He keeps doing things. And I want
- 2:59Speaker 1: you to look at your life. Or for a second,
- 3:03Speaker 1: let's make two columns here. Let's make a column of
- 3:07Speaker 1: all the things you want from God. You know, just
- 3:10Speaker 1: do that throughout the course of the day. You know,
- 3:13Speaker 1: you know, run down the list of all the things
- 3:15Speaker 1: you're asking God for, all the things you're praying for,
- 3:18Speaker 1: the things you aspire to, what your dreams, your visions,
- 3:22Speaker 1: whatever it is. Just make a column, a list of
- 3:24Speaker 1: all those things. Let's make three lists. And then the
- 3:28Speaker 1: second list, I want you to make a list of
- 3:32Speaker 1: everything that you've been asking God for. So I guess
- 3:37Speaker 1: that could be a little bit of the same. But
- 3:40Speaker 1: this third list, I want you to do a check
- 3:41Speaker 1: off point. I want you to do a make a
- 3:44Speaker 1: list of everything that God has given you that you've
- 3:48Speaker 1: asked him for. Just think about it like that for
- 3:50Speaker 1: a second. I may be explaining a little wrong right now,
- 3:54Speaker 1: but I'm gonna pull it together for you. Make a
- 3:57Speaker 1: list of everything you're asking God for, just just listed.
- 4:01Speaker 1: You know, it's Okay, it's a dream board. You can
- 4:02Speaker 1: call it that. I got one. It's a vision board.
- 4:05Speaker 1: You know. Every everybody's got something you hope for. Make
- 4:08Speaker 1: a list now. I want you to make another list
- 4:12Speaker 1: of everything you've asked God for that he's given you already.
- 4:18Speaker 1: See this is a good list because sometimes and what
- 4:22Speaker 1: I've been guilty of and maybe you two in my
- 4:26Speaker 1: request list on my dream board. I keep focusing so
- 4:30Speaker 1: hard sometimes on the what I'm yet to receive. I
- 4:35Speaker 1: keep focusing so hard on the what I hope he
- 4:38Speaker 1: gives me. I keep focusing so hard on the things
- 4:42Speaker 1: that I yet not fulfilled in my life that sometimes,
- 4:47Speaker 1: as he starts checking off my wish list the things
- 4:52Speaker 1: I've asked for in the past that have come to
- 4:54Speaker 1: pass that he's given me, I sometimes, in praying for
- 4:58Speaker 1: what I want forget to thank him for what he's
- 5:03Speaker 1: done for me. And I'm currently in the middle of
- 5:05Speaker 1: that situation. And this morning when I woke up, I really, man,
- 5:09Speaker 1: I just got on my knees this morning and I
- 5:11Speaker 1: quit tripping for a second. I said, Man, hey, God,
- 5:13Speaker 1: you know what I really do need all them things
- 5:17Speaker 1: I'm asking for, and I'm really am believing that you're
- 5:20Speaker 1: gonna give it to me. But in the meantime, though, Man,
- 5:23Speaker 1: have I overlooked some important details here. I had to
- 5:28Speaker 1: really look at what he's done for me. I mean, look, man,
- 5:31Speaker 1: take yourself out of it personally and look, well, you
- 5:34Speaker 1: can leave yourself in it however you want to be.
- 5:36Speaker 1: Some people can't do that, So just leave yourself in
- 5:38Speaker 1: it there. But man, I started looking at the eye
- 5:41Speaker 1: part of me, and I started looking around at the
- 5:44Speaker 1: what's happening overall, Like, Man, he has kept my family
- 5:48Speaker 1: together in spite of the attempts to tear it apart.
- 5:52Speaker 1: I look at all of that. I look at how
- 5:54Speaker 1: he's blessing my children with the desires of their heart,
- 5:57Speaker 1: which I pray for my kids. You know, I want
- 5:59Speaker 1: my kids to have a better life than I've had.
- 6:01Speaker 1: I really really do. I don't want them to take
- 6:04Speaker 1: as long as it took me to get it together.
- 6:06Speaker 1: I really really don't. I'm trying to say, hey, man,
- 6:09Speaker 1: if you go to college, this is what you can be.
- 6:11Speaker 1: Don't do like your father did. Don't go three years,
- 6:14Speaker 1: drop out, throw yourself into a spiral and then got
- 6:16Speaker 1: to start to scratch all over again. You know, and
- 6:19Speaker 1: for the most part so far, you know, they're doing
- 6:23Speaker 1: quite well of it. You know, you know they they're
- 6:25Speaker 1: getting kicked around a little bit, but that's life. I
- 6:28Speaker 1: started thinking of the blessings that he's helped me overcome
- 6:32Speaker 1: with some of the previous mistakes I've made in relationships
- 6:36Speaker 1: in my life. And then I started looking about the
- 6:40Speaker 1: things he's blessed me with that I've been asking him for.
- 6:42Speaker 1: But since I've moved on from it, I forgot to
- 6:45Speaker 1: keep thinking him because I gotta always thank God for
- 6:48Speaker 1: a roof over my head, because guess what, when I
- 6:51Speaker 1: was asking for the roof and I didn't really have it,
- 6:53Speaker 1: then he gave me one. Since he gave it to me, what,
- 6:56Speaker 1: I'm just cool now, I can't ever go back to
- 6:58Speaker 1: him and go, hey, man, I really do appreciate this
- 7:01Speaker 1: roof over my head because that was a time when
- 7:03Speaker 1: I was living in a car. But see, so every
- 7:05Speaker 1: morning I wake up, I gotta remember the fact that
- 7:08Speaker 1: I have a home now, because I got to look
- 7:10Speaker 1: back and go, man, that was time, Steve, when you
- 7:13Speaker 1: didn't have no home. But see, we forget what God
- 7:16Speaker 1: has done for us, because in our column that won't
- 7:20Speaker 1: column the need column. We oftentimes forget for the columns
- 7:26Speaker 1: and the check marks, as He's already fulfilled in our life.
- 7:29Speaker 1: You've got to take inventory every now and then daily
- 7:34Speaker 1: if possible. But I know we're humans. We're not going
- 7:36Speaker 1: to do that. I don't. But you've got to take
- 7:39Speaker 1: inventory of your life to say, hey, what has God
- 7:44Speaker 1: done for me? You know? And remember something else too.
- 7:48Speaker 1: Change is good, but change is challenging. Accept the challenge
- 7:54Speaker 1: that it is. Look a lot of you come up
- 7:57Speaker 1: to me all the time and say, Steve Man, thank you,
- 8:00Speaker 1: man boy, you in the morning. Man, I really be
- 8:02Speaker 1: needing that, Like I under said it one hundred times,
- 8:05Speaker 1: but I'm gonna say it again, y'all. I'll be needing
- 8:07Speaker 1: it too. You know. You understand, sometimes what God is
- 8:12Speaker 1: dealing with me is for me. But now I'm in
- 8:16Speaker 1: a sharing position where I can open up and if
- 8:19Speaker 1: I just if I just quit being so about me
- 8:22Speaker 1: and become a little bit more transparent, I can maybe
- 8:25Speaker 1: some of me that's happening to me is happening to you,
- 8:29Speaker 1: and you can see some of this in me. That's
- 8:30Speaker 1: why I use myself as an example, because man, I'm
- 8:33Speaker 1: catching it too. Y'all, I ain't perfect either. So for
- 8:38Speaker 1: those of you that come up to me and say that,
- 8:39Speaker 1: I want you to understand these these talks in the morning. Man,
- 8:43Speaker 1: this is important for me because man, I need these
- 8:47Speaker 1: conversations from God. I need God to continue to strengthen me,
- 8:52Speaker 1: to show me the way, to help me understand what's
- 8:55Speaker 1: happening to me. And see, as we've all those of
- 8:58Speaker 1: you who have made the decision to change, to become
- 9:02Speaker 1: a better person, a better woman, a better boy, a
- 9:04Speaker 1: better girl, a better man. For those of you who
- 9:06Speaker 1: have made the decision to change, change is a challenge,
- 9:09Speaker 1: and accept the challenge because it's gonna come. Because right
- 9:12Speaker 1: out of that here come to haters. Here they come
- 9:15Speaker 1: people you don't even know, discussing your life and your change.
- 9:19Speaker 1: If God see you really really mean what you say
- 9:22Speaker 1: in spite of what they say about you, God will
- 9:26Speaker 1: raise you above the phrase. He'll keep promoting you, He'll
- 9:29Speaker 1: keep blessing you, He'll keep moving you up. He will
- 9:33Speaker 1: use you as a show off point. He'll show you off. Man.
- 9:38Speaker 1: He'll make you. He'll make you look good to people
- 9:40Speaker 1: man who wish you'd fall all day long, And so
- 9:43Speaker 1: to all your haters. All your haters will end up
- 9:46Speaker 1: just watching you rise. Man, They will watch you continue
- 9:49Speaker 1: to grow. That's what God will do for you. Man.
- 9:52Speaker 1: You can fool the world, but you can't fool God.
- 9:54Speaker 1: God know your heart, He knows your every thought. Man,
- 9:58Speaker 1: you're listening to David Good morning show. Ladies and gentlemen
- 10:03Speaker 1: might have your attention. Please, it is time. We are here.

- 11:30Speaker 1: I dude, yeah, he said you were drunk. What do
- 11:33Speaker 1: you drink? Drinking English Berbot is what I've had. I
- 11:38Speaker 1: had a spot on that, a moment of how I
- 11:41Speaker 1: was having in it. It was just quite delicious with
- 11:44Speaker 1: my tea this morning. Tea and Captain Crunch serial quite
- 11:50Speaker 1: a combination. Next question, yes, yes, Do you have any
- 11:57Speaker 1: opinion about all the statues that they've been tearing down
- 12:00Speaker 1: over here? Down? Tell them all down. No one cares
- 12:06Speaker 1: about the damn South rising? Can't rise again? Dam Lee,
- 12:13Speaker 1: damn Lee down your Confederate hate that flag? And what
- 12:22Speaker 1: he is? Drunk? Isn't He shouldn't have said that. But
- 12:26Speaker 1: that's hard feeling, Julia. Not. I'm here to class some
- 12:33Speaker 1: things out. I want to inform my hill and a
- 12:39Speaker 1: brother that the South cannot rise again. Yes, tell them, Oh,
- 12:46Speaker 1: I'll be there. Lay your flags, and until the star
- 12:50Speaker 1: that cross fall off of it, it'll know you be marching.
- 12:54Speaker 1: Will you be marching with us too? Yes, I'll march,
- 12:58Speaker 1: not long dollar only the only daytime, march what happens
- 13:05Speaker 1: at night and start throwing things. The last time I
- 13:11Speaker 1: ducked I can't remember. I'm not gonna be Can I
- 13:18Speaker 1: come back after this next breakfast? So many, all the
- 13:22Speaker 1: things to talk about from over here in England. Just
- 13:24Speaker 1: want you to know that way and die. I support
- 13:28Speaker 1: Oh my god, that you're doing over there, and to
- 13:34Speaker 1: hell with Hannity coming up at thirty two minutes after
- 13:39Speaker 1: the hour. You heard him, the Duke shall return. The
- 13:42Speaker 1: Duke of Idingham right after this you're listening to, the
- 13:48Speaker 1: Earl of Dingham decided that he has to rush back.
- 13:55Speaker 1: That's saying goodbye. Stephen wants to do this. See how
- 13:59Speaker 1: obviously some major hit down. I'm gonna step away now
- 14:04Speaker 1: and go and get some tea. Thank you, Thomas Kyle
- 14:11Speaker 1: was great, Queen Lady Carl, thank you so much. Bye
- 14:16Speaker 1: bye bye Turtles too. That was fun having him around.
- 14:24Speaker 1: We haven't heard from him in a minute. Yeah, titles
- 14:27Speaker 1: m well les, he switches gears. I'll tell you this.
- 14:30Speaker 1: It's time for the CLO. The Chief Love Officer, the
- 14:34Speaker 1: one and only Steve Harvey is back and Steve, welcome back.
- 14:38Speaker 1: This first situation here is from Kita and Mobile Cota. Coreta,
- 14:46Speaker 1: core Rita. Sure it ain't Coretta, Yeah, I'm sure I'm sure, Coreta. Yeah.
- 14:53Speaker 1: She's from Mobile, Alabama. She says she got married in December,
- 14:56Speaker 1: and one week after their honeymoon, her husband did a
- 15:00Speaker 1: total three sixty on her um. I'm no longer happily married.
- 15:06Speaker 1: He doesn't take me out anymore, and he's out every weekend.
- 15:09Speaker 1: If I question him about anything, he tells me to
- 15:12Speaker 1: stop nagging him because I got the ring and the man.
- 15:15Speaker 1: Now he has started arguments so he can leave the house.
- 15:18Speaker 1: I'm hip to what he's doing, and I'm thinking I
- 15:20Speaker 1: should leave the house one night and let him come
- 15:23Speaker 1: home and wonder where I am. Or should I pick
- 15:26Speaker 1: up and leave him for good. I'm tired of talking
- 15:29Speaker 1: to him about this. I don't know one. I don't know,
- 15:33Speaker 1: you know what I mean. You've only been married a
- 15:35Speaker 1: short time, y'all ain't even ever gone through anything. Maybe
- 15:38Speaker 1: that's all he was doing. He like, he said, you
- 15:40Speaker 1: got the man in the ring, and maybe that's maybe
- 15:42Speaker 1: he'd have gave you all he gonna give you. Sounds
- 15:45Speaker 1: like it, and so I don't know it. So how
- 15:47Speaker 1: you feel, I don't you know? Well, you think you thought,
- 15:53Speaker 1: you know, you started argument to lead a house, But
- 15:57Speaker 1: one week after the honeymoon. Yeah, I don't start argument
- 16:00Speaker 1: to go play basketball. Just go play basket right now,
- 16:05Speaker 1: there's no way to well, I'm gonna light of fire
- 16:07Speaker 1: my house just to play golf. Yeah no, No, if
- 16:11Speaker 1: I'm gonna liight to fire the house, it's gonna be
- 16:12Speaker 1: for another reason. So should she pack up and leave
- 16:15Speaker 1: him for good? She's still gonna should do that, I mean,
- 16:19Speaker 1: but she's tired. But you know, make a move yourself. See,
- 16:23Speaker 1: you know, it's a different thing when she was on
- 16:25Speaker 1: the other foot, and you know you might get his attention,
- 16:28Speaker 1: you know, I don't know. So you're saying, try some
- 16:31Speaker 1: things before she she only been with the man in
- 16:33Speaker 1: a week. I don't know what ten Well she's done
- 16:36Speaker 1: with him, Yeah, I mean, but what you marrieds asked for? Well,
- 16:41Speaker 1: something's wrong with him before. No, something was wrong with
- 16:44Speaker 1: him before they got married, and she just didn't notice it.
- 16:47Speaker 1: And now she got married, now she got an up
- 16:49Speaker 1: close view of it. I can't believe that after one
- 16:52Speaker 1: one week of married, this all this began. This was
- 16:55Speaker 1: going on before. They ain't just start argument. Ain't nothing
- 16:58Speaker 1: new but the argument. She ignored the red flags. That's right,
- 17:02Speaker 1: all right, this is from Will and Saint Louis. He says,
- 17:06Speaker 1: my wife and I have been married for eleven years
- 17:09Speaker 1: and we work from home. My wife has become addicted
- 17:11Speaker 1: to online shopping, and three or four packages come to
- 17:15Speaker 1: our house weekly. Yeah, she's ordered new patio furniture, dishes, clothes, shoes, etc.
- 17:23Speaker 1: And she uses our American Express because we get points
- 17:25Speaker 1: when we use it. She also knows. She also knows
- 17:29Speaker 1: that I pay this bill, so that's an advantage for her.
- 17:33Speaker 1: I asked her to use her debit card for these
- 17:35Speaker 1: non essential purchases, and she got mad. She said she
- 17:38Speaker 1: will not stop shopping on the American Express card, and
- 17:41Speaker 1: that's that. I'm tired of paying for the bs she buys.
- 17:45Speaker 1: Would I be wrong if I close this account or
- 17:48Speaker 1: buy You can close that account, but do you understand
- 17:53Speaker 1: the penalty for them? Come on, it's just a dog.
- 17:58Speaker 1: You close that account. She go to buy something and
- 18:01Speaker 1: her car get declined. Oh boy, you're gonna embabas hole. Yeah,
- 18:06Speaker 1: so bro, I understand how you feel. But air Man
- 18:08Speaker 1: didn't know what you're talking about. And every woman too.
- 18:11Speaker 1: I just got My wife told me the reason she
- 18:14Speaker 1: used Americans but because we get the points. Yeah, and hey, hey,
- 18:22Speaker 1: get them. We had to pay to get them. Point
- 18:25Speaker 1: there ain't three points. Ain't like they just give us
- 18:28Speaker 1: a point? Why I just tell them sending you how
- 18:29Speaker 1: many points you want? Tell them to send them to
- 18:31Speaker 1: you without you buying that so you can find out
- 18:34Speaker 1: that them points cost some money. So so he shouldn't
- 18:38Speaker 1: close the account. You're saying, Cello on your wife. No, no,
- 18:43Speaker 1: please don't do that. You don't do any gonna pay
- 18:46Speaker 1: for that, and all she bought with some patio furniture
- 18:48Speaker 1: ditions close. She buys a lot of what he called
- 18:51Speaker 1: non essential, Like, yeah, all of that is essential, thank you.
- 18:55Speaker 1: Shoes come on, walk around barefoot and you're not really
- 19:02Speaker 1: going to know where y'all doing. COVID nineteen. But she
- 19:05Speaker 1: can't get what she wants and she needs clothes. We
- 19:08Speaker 1: all need. She can't walk around. They just need to
- 19:13Speaker 1: get a budget. Yeah, I's don't have no budget. I know.
- 19:18Speaker 1: I yeah, I think hobby is tripping Joey. This is
- 19:25Speaker 1: an iHeartRadio app listener Steve. He says, I'm a twenty
- 19:28Speaker 1: six year old man and I'm in love with a
- 19:30Speaker 1: thirty six year old woman that I met at work.
- 19:34Speaker 1: She recently got a great new job and she moved
- 19:36Speaker 1: three hours away. The distance is killing us, and she
- 19:40Speaker 1: wants me to quit my job and move to be
- 19:42Speaker 1: with her. I told her I would need a job
- 19:45Speaker 1: first and get established, and she said she would take
- 19:47Speaker 1: care of all the bills, including mine, until I found
- 19:50Speaker 1: a job. I don't want to rely on my woman
- 19:53Speaker 1: for money, but she insists that it's not a problem.
- 19:55Speaker 1: Should I find a job before I moved or tour? Yeah, bro,
- 20:01Speaker 1: find yourself a job. Man, go in the door, doing
- 20:04Speaker 1: your duty. I'm telling you, man, a woman taking care
- 20:08Speaker 1: of man. Get old real fast. You get old real fast. Dog.
- 20:12Speaker 1: Ain't no woman really wanting to sign up for that.
- 20:16Speaker 1: So brother, if you love them, I ain't mad at you,
- 20:19Speaker 1: But man, get yourself a job for you. Go down, yes,
- 20:23Speaker 1: because you think you're going. Yeah, you don't playing no
- 20:26Speaker 1: bills around here. Set your ass down. Hormail chili. You
- 20:34Speaker 1: can't just get the chili with with the label on
- 20:36Speaker 1: it that say chili. You ain't working all right? God,
- 20:43Speaker 1: I thank you. Feel now you if you don't take
- 20:48Speaker 1: this back and get them brown hot dogs in the building,
- 20:52Speaker 1: now you have a back until you have a cool
- 20:55Speaker 1: right after this you're listening show coming up at the
- 21:01Speaker 1: top of the hour. Miss Anna's standing by with today's
- 21:04Speaker 1: national news and entertainment news. Jimmy Kimmel is apologizing for
- 21:09Speaker 1: blackface sketches and offensive language. We're gonna talk about this
- 21:12Speaker 1: story at the top of the hour, but right now
- 21:15Speaker 1: the nephew is here. We'll run that prank back. What
- 21:17Speaker 1: you got for us, nef Right now, we're gonna take
- 21:19Speaker 1: time to pee in the pool. S Oh excuse me.
- 21:24Speaker 1: We're gonna take time out right now to pee in

- 22:07Speaker 1: everything is fine. I mean a quick question, man, we
- 22:10Speaker 1: got a situation here with what's going on. We're not
- 22:14Speaker 1: we're not gonna be allowed to uh to let him
- 22:16Speaker 1: swim here at the pool and the complex anymore. What
- 22:20Speaker 1: we got him? Your son. I mean he swims here
- 22:25Speaker 1: pretty much every every every other day. You know, I'm
- 22:28Speaker 1: always here seeing him swim. But it seems like is
- 22:31Speaker 1: you know, we've been trying to figure out who it is.
- 22:34Speaker 1: You'll your fun keep peeing in the pool, slim man.
- 22:40Speaker 1: I don't want to get into it with you. Your
- 22:42Speaker 1: son is We finally nailed it down. Your son is
- 22:45Speaker 1: the one that's peeing in the pool every day, and
- 22:47Speaker 1: you know it's really a bad thing. Uh, we can't
- 22:50Speaker 1: continue to keep letting him come over here. We gotta
- 22:52Speaker 1: ban him from the pool, so we ain't nash it
- 22:56Speaker 1: like this. Did you check to be able? He's gonna
- 23:00Speaker 1: says my son? And in the pool, Well, your son
- 23:02Speaker 1: is the one to be making faces and stuff, and
- 23:04Speaker 1: I know that's what he's doing here in their pin.
- 23:06Speaker 1: Your son is the one that's penn making faces. He'd
- 23:10Speaker 1: be making faces, so I know here and their pa
- 23:13Speaker 1: got to do what we can be making faces pool
- 23:17Speaker 1: and something you're gonna say and in the pool because
- 23:20Speaker 1: he's making safe I'm not gonna go lasting like that.
- 23:23Speaker 1: I teach my kids better than that. He ain't been
- 23:25Speaker 1: a pool later. I'm not gonna all I'm saying is
- 23:28Speaker 1: he can't come over here and swim anymore. He's banned
- 23:31Speaker 1: from the pool until we rectify this problem. Not y's
- 23:34Speaker 1: not saying when he gonna be in the pool and
- 23:37Speaker 1: we all pool were gonna be there, and that's tomorrow.
- 23:40Speaker 1: Man of fact, I'm thinking I'm kids to the pool. No,
- 23:43Speaker 1: we don't allow Man, I'm not gonna city and go
- 23:46Speaker 1: back and forth with you all. I'm trying to tell
- 23:48Speaker 1: you was this right here? Your son has been pinning
- 23:51Speaker 1: in the pool. My boss wants me to be bad.
- 23:54Speaker 1: If he's not the one, then we will allow him
- 23:55Speaker 1: to come back later. But right now with singling people
- 23:58Speaker 1: out and you're son, you know, it just seems like
- 24:01Speaker 1: he's the one that's doing it. What's your name? Was?
- 24:04Speaker 1: My name is Grin. I'm Grinning the lifeguard. That's who
- 24:07Speaker 1: I am. Now what's your real name? Then? What? Because
- 24:11Speaker 1: that I was supposed to be calling you ain't got
- 24:13Speaker 1: little bit this call of my I'm talking about myself,
- 24:15Speaker 1: No fool, how do you do everything to get I'm
- 24:18Speaker 1: not at liberty to give my lad's name. The bottom
- 24:21Speaker 1: line is we can't call in the bottom what but
- 24:25Speaker 1: you don't live me to come down, but you can't
- 24:27Speaker 1: give me your own name. Okay, listen, I'm not All
- 24:30Speaker 1: I'm supposed to do is call you Anna, let you
- 24:31Speaker 1: know that we're banned in your son from getting in
- 24:33Speaker 1: the pool. I'm what you're talking about. You can't ban
- 24:36Speaker 1: my father playing the life board. Get a real job,
- 24:41Speaker 1: a summer job. You got a job, and I call him.
- 24:45Speaker 1: You said, you know what you ain't about, and you
- 24:48Speaker 1: can't stop nobody who's come next school And we're gonna
- 24:51Speaker 1: be damned though tomorrow again and you do deep, So
- 24:56Speaker 1: do your job to clean it. Man. Let me say
- 24:59Speaker 1: this to you. If your son comes to the pool
- 25:01Speaker 1: tomorrow and get in the pool, I'm snatching your son
- 25:04Speaker 1: out of the pool. I wish you what I wish
- 25:07Speaker 1: you would, because you don't need a life God, snatch
- 25:10Speaker 1: my sign the pool. I wish you would. What time
- 25:15Speaker 1: the poem open? At ten o'clock? We're gonna be that
- 25:17Speaker 1: ninety You got me up? Come about you gonna snatch
- 25:21Speaker 1: my son out of pool? You mindbody pool? Yeah? Mine, ladies.
- 25:29Speaker 1: The problem is whatever has been singled out all the
- 25:32Speaker 1: other kids, appointing us and saying he's the one that's
- 25:34Speaker 1: doing it. Your son is the one that's being our boat.
- 25:38Speaker 1: He's saying whatever whatever for right now, all I'm asking
- 25:43Speaker 1: is is keep your son away from the pool for
- 25:45Speaker 1: the next two weeks. If we fell out that that's
- 25:47Speaker 1: not him, will allow him to come back. Okay, ain't me.
- 25:50Speaker 1: He ain't staying away from the pool for two weeks.
- 25:52Speaker 1: If he do, he's gonna come back and do for
- 25:54Speaker 1: most pool. I'm gonna teving the hold two weeks worth
- 25:57Speaker 1: and go back to that. Come about my son to
- 26:00Speaker 1: cool you can tell you about his faith. You said
- 26:03Speaker 1: what you said, this Bob being life you and then
- 26:08Speaker 1: the pool. You know you must not know what you're
- 26:12Speaker 1: talking to. I will be there and like to model
- 26:14Speaker 1: me and I don't find my kids and they don't
- 26:17Speaker 1: get the pool too. Don't do a little kids go
- 26:20Speaker 1: without getting them in the pool. Let me tell you something.
- 26:23Speaker 1: Don't you bring them kids over there and bring them
- 26:25Speaker 1: in the pool. No, none of your children. I don't
- 26:27Speaker 1: give it. And what you say, you don't run life guard,
- 26:32Speaker 1: get rid of John Lady. Listen, lady, I'm not gonna
- 26:35Speaker 1: go continue to go back and forth. I got one
- 26:37Speaker 1: more thing I need to say to you. What I'm done. Okay,
- 26:39Speaker 1: one more thing that I'm done. You ain't got to
- 26:41Speaker 1: say to me. I do. I want to say that.
- 26:43Speaker 1: I do need to say to you what you have
- 26:45Speaker 1: to say to me. I need to say this. This
- 26:48Speaker 1: is left you Tommy from the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 26:51Speaker 1: You just got Frank from your homeboard. You get me. Hello, kids,
- 27:04Speaker 1: look man, look up till the doctor. Man. You want
- 27:10Speaker 1: to get this bo y'all play too much. Y'all know
- 27:15Speaker 1: y'all play too but little play but nothing. I'm walking
- 27:20Speaker 1: towards forming now. I thought you was coming to the
- 27:23Speaker 1: pool tomorrow. I was coming to the office today. They
- 27:27Speaker 1: still was opening the five cock. I'll to tell me,
- 27:29Speaker 1: I'll call my files myself in the pool. I was
- 27:32Speaker 1: for the common Now take kid of them kids, Baby,
- 27:36Speaker 1: I got one more thing. I got to ask you.
- 27:38Speaker 1: What is the baddest radio show in the land. The
- 27:42Speaker 1: Steves has the more this show? Baby, if you a
- 27:47Speaker 1: pete in the pool, raise your hand, jeez, Steve got
- 27:52Speaker 1: both hand. As a kid though right now is an adult? God,
- 27:59Speaker 1: oh God, as a kid, not as an adult right
- 28:03Speaker 1: you didn't get out the pool as a grown I've
- 28:07Speaker 1: been walking on the beach and walked into the ocean,
- 28:12Speaker 1: the ocean. Yeah, and then come on back in, my wife,
- 28:17Speaker 1: come time. Why you go out there and peeing that
- 28:18Speaker 1: water like that? You know what's pissing in there? It's
- 28:24Speaker 1: it's it's about let it go. Yeah. I can't really
- 28:37Speaker 1: pick somebody out and tell if they peeing in the pool,
- 28:39Speaker 1: or I could tell, especially when they get over that
- 28:41Speaker 1: by that jet that you know what when they get
- 28:44Speaker 1: by that jet, you know what's going on? You just
- 28:46Speaker 1: standing there back? Yeah, you let me go. I know
- 28:48Speaker 1: about a jet in the pool. Jet in the pool.
- 28:51Speaker 1: You're ye as a kid, not as an adult. Right No,
- 28:55Speaker 1: like right now, like you always telling them, you can
- 28:58Speaker 1: always tell if I'm peelings I had in Louien in
- 29:01Speaker 1: my job. Let mesten coming up at the time of
- 29:07Speaker 1: the Are we have entertainment and national news right after this?
- 29:10Speaker 1: Oh my lord, you're listening to. Jimmy Kimmel has come
- 29:19Speaker 1: under fire for an old blackface sketch and for using
- 29:23Speaker 1: the N word in a song spoof. You know he's
- 29:26Speaker 1: a late night host, of course, of his own show.
- 29:29Speaker 1: He's apologized. In a statement on Tuesday, Kimmel said, I
- 29:33Speaker 1: have long been reluctant to address this as I knew
- 29:36Speaker 1: doing so would be celebrated as a victory by those
- 29:40Speaker 1: who equate apologies with weakness and cheer for leaders who
- 29:44Speaker 1: use prejudice to divide us. That delay was a mistake.
- 29:48Speaker 1: There is nothing more important to me than your respect,
- 29:52Speaker 1: and I apologize to those who were genuinely hurt or
- 29:55Speaker 1: offended by the makeup I wore or the words I spoke.
- 30:00Speaker 1: And that's Kimmel's response. He says, well, a lot of
- 30:05Speaker 1: people this is, you know document, it calls to cancel him.
- 30:09Speaker 1: Began Monday Night Yeah, with many citing his black face
- 30:13Speaker 1: impersonation of Karl Malone as an imitation and an imitation
- 30:18Speaker 1: of Snoop Dogg's voice on an in word Field track
- 30:21Speaker 1: in nineteen ninety six Christmas album. Kimmel has done impersonations
- 30:25Speaker 1: of Oprah and other celebrities. In each case, he said,
- 30:28Speaker 1: I thought of them as impersonations of celebrities and nothing more.
- 30:33Speaker 1: But now he says he finds the sketches embarrassing, and
- 30:35Speaker 1: he seems to think the controversy was being used to
- 30:38Speaker 1: stop him from criticizing President Trump. So there, ye look him,
- 30:44Speaker 1: and I knew about a couple of those things. You know,
- 30:50Speaker 1: and it was him really trying to do an impersonation.
- 30:53Speaker 1: To call for his resignation at this point is like
- 30:57Speaker 1: ridiculous show, because if you listen into what his heart
- 31:00Speaker 1: speaks about all the time, he's been fighting the races,
- 31:06Speaker 1: the racist antics of Trump since he got in office.
- 31:09Speaker 1: He calls everything, you know, and so you know, for
- 31:13Speaker 1: people doing that, I ain't with that right there. I
- 31:16Speaker 1: know him to be a really solid guy. For him.
- 31:19Speaker 1: First of all, let's just start right here with the apology,
- 31:23Speaker 1: and I'll tell you something else. I know a lot
- 31:26Speaker 1: of people, well, why you always get your president to
- 31:30Speaker 1: apologize for just anything he's done. Isn't he a lot
- 31:35Speaker 1: more important to you than Jimmy Kimmel? And haven't you
- 31:39Speaker 1: heard Jimmy Kimmel at least care about what's going on
- 31:42Speaker 1: in this country. I'm all right with Kimmel. You know,
- 31:46Speaker 1: when people do change, people do change, they grow, they learn,
- 31:50Speaker 1: they change, you know, thee several times, and he's did
- 31:55Speaker 1: it as an imitation. He wasn't doing it as a
- 31:58Speaker 1: you know. But but now you can't do that anymore,
- 32:02Speaker 1: you know. I mean, come on, y'all, we got some
- 32:05Speaker 1: real issues. We got to take care of yes, we
- 32:08Speaker 1: got that. There's credit laws that's against us. Systemic racism
- 32:13Speaker 1: is there's credit laws against us. We need to talk
- 32:16Speaker 1: about that, the police, banking, residential zoning, insurance, redlining. Like
- 32:26Speaker 1: Shirley said, Oh, we got a lot of stuff concerning
- 32:29Speaker 1: ourselves with let's not get caught up in every single
- 32:34Speaker 1: aspect calling for people's jobs. Who could really be an
- 32:38Speaker 1: ally to you. I just liked Jimmy Kimmel. I've always
- 32:41Speaker 1: liked him and respected to God. You know, I knew
- 32:44Speaker 1: what he did, I knew how he did it. But
- 32:45Speaker 1: you know, once you're a comedian, man, it's people that
- 32:48Speaker 1: ain't taking nothing in the form of a joke. And
- 32:52Speaker 1: that's that's one of the one of the reasons I'm
- 32:55Speaker 1: really grateful that I got out of the stand up
- 32:58Speaker 1: game when I did. Who but Lord loveful? Right there, Charlotte,
- 33:06Speaker 1: I was watching one of my old tapes. One of
- 33:09Speaker 1: my guys came up to me and said, man, steel
- 33:12Speaker 1: tripping is my favorite. He said, when you went to war,
- 33:15Speaker 1: the reason why you can't go to the army, He
- 33:17Speaker 1: said that joke right there, he said, I spit up
- 33:20Speaker 1: on my TV though, Ladies and gentlemen, missing trip. No,
- 33:28Speaker 1: thank you very much. Everybody. Here we go, Here we go.
- 33:32Speaker 1: Twenty seven year old right shot Brooks was funeralized yesterday
- 33:35Speaker 1: by family and friends and remembered as a caring father
- 33:38Speaker 1: and a loving husband who died thanks to a violent
- 33:40Speaker 1: and corrupt system. Doctor Burney's King, the daughter of doctor
- 33:44Speaker 1: Martin Luther King Junior, says that young mister Brooks should
- 33:46Speaker 1: have been able to go home that night, and the
- 33:50Speaker 1: officers should have gone home that night without blood on
- 33:53Speaker 1: their hands. This is the great tragedy in our nation
- 33:59Speaker 1: that must cease. The white cop who shot Richard Brooks
- 34:03Speaker 1: in the back could face the death sentence if convicted.
- 34:06Speaker 1: The Georgia General Assembly passed a hate crimes bill yesterday
- 34:09Speaker 1: ain't the wake of the murder of Jaga Ahmad Aarbury.
- 34:12Speaker 1: The Peach State is one of only four states without
- 34:14Speaker 1: a hate crime statute with a previous version struck down
- 34:17Speaker 1: by the state Supreme Court, and where that bill given
- 34:20Speaker 1: new life after the senseless and deliberate murder of the
- 34:23Speaker 1: unarmed young black man. The admitted killer reportedly used a
- 34:26Speaker 1: racial slur as mister Aarbury lay dying, and David Ralston
- 34:29Speaker 1: is a Republican Speaker of the House today, we have
- 34:32Speaker 1: said that we will not be defined by senseless act
- 34:36Speaker 1: of evil and by the murder of Ahmud Aarbury, but
- 34:41Speaker 1: that our Georgia is better than this. Right. That's the
- 34:45Speaker 1: Republican Speaker of the House down there. The bill imposes
- 34:48Speaker 1: harsher penalties for crimes that target people because of their race,
- 34:51Speaker 1: or gender or sexual orientation. Governor Brian Kemp says he'll
- 34:54Speaker 1: sign it pending legal review. The Pennsylvania Supreme Courts is
- 34:58Speaker 1: going to hear an appeal by Bill Cosby of his
- 35:00Speaker 1: twenty eighteen conviction for a sexual assault. The court will
- 35:03Speaker 1: reportedly look at two issues that his attorneys say should
- 35:06Speaker 1: not have been part of the court case anyway. Cosby's
- 35:08Speaker 1: attorney says some witness testimony that was part of the
- 35:11Speaker 1: state's evidence should not have been allowed. They also questioned
- 35:14Speaker 1: the use of a deposition that Cosby gave after he
- 35:18Speaker 1: was assured by district attorney that that debt position would
- 35:21Speaker 1: never be used to prosecute him. The a two year
- 35:24Speaker 1: old Cosby has served less than two years of a
- 35:26Speaker 1: three to ten year term. President Trump says he intends
- 35:29Speaker 1: to issue an executive order protecting monuments that have become
- 35:32Speaker 1: targets of vandalism and takedowns. By the way, the Lorry
- 35:35Speaker 1: says that another top ranked tennis player tested positive for
- 35:38Speaker 1: the coronavirus, and it looks like the coronavirus pandemic has
- 35:42Speaker 1: affected one of the biggest religious rituals in the whole world.
- 35:46Speaker 1: Saudi Arabia has now officially banned the world's Muslims from
- 35:50Speaker 1: attending the Hajj, that's the annual pilgrimage to Mecca next
- 35:53Speaker 1: month because authorities stay just not safe. In normal times,
- 35:56Speaker 1: any Muslim who is fit and has the money can
- 35:59Speaker 1: require to make that trip to Mecca at least once
- 36:01Speaker 1: in their lives, not this year. Now back to Steve
- 36:04Speaker 1: Harvey Morning, Joe, you're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 36:08Speaker 1: The FBI says the news found in Bubba Wallace's garage
- 36:12Speaker 1: stall at Talladega Superspeedway in Alabama had been there since
- 36:17Speaker 1: twenty nineteen, and they're determined no crime was committed. Now
- 36:22Speaker 1: that's according to the FBI. In fact, NASCAR says the
- 36:26Speaker 1: item in question is a garage door pool rope fashioned
- 36:30Speaker 1: like a news that have been positioned in the garage
- 36:33Speaker 1: since last fall. NASCAR adds Bubba Wallace was not the
- 36:38Speaker 1: target of a hate crime. A representative said. Although the
- 36:41Speaker 1: news is now known to have been in Garage number
- 36:44Speaker 1: four in twenty nineteen, no one could have known mister
- 36:48Speaker 1: Wallace would be assigned to garage number four last week.
- 36:52Speaker 1: The FBI and the US prosecutors say the decision not
- 36:56Speaker 1: to pursue federal charges as proper. I see what happened.
- 37:01Speaker 1: So it wasn't in his garage since two thousand nineteen
- 37:05Speaker 1: at this particular speedway. He gotta sign that night for Yeah,
- 37:10Speaker 1: when he walked in, he saw the news for the
- 37:13Speaker 1: first time. Got it, understand understandable mistake. Yeah you're thinking, wow,
- 37:18Speaker 1: I walked in here, but no, it's just been in
- 37:20Speaker 1: there since two thousand and nineteen. Well, who had the
- 37:23Speaker 1: news before? There was a garage pulled? The garage pulled that.
- 37:27Speaker 1: They made it like a news. It was all white
- 37:30Speaker 1: people in there. That's somebody made the news. Let's not
- 37:35Speaker 1: get well, well it's a noose not you know, But
- 37:39Speaker 1: you can't say it was a hate crime because it's
- 37:41Speaker 1: all white people in there. Ain't nobody driving to call
- 37:43Speaker 1: black but Bubba. Yeah, So when he got to sign
- 37:46Speaker 1: that garage. That's the mistake. It ain't like it was
- 37:49Speaker 1: been hanging in there since two thy nineteen. He just
- 37:51Speaker 1: noticed it in his garage. That was one he got
- 37:54Speaker 1: to sign for Telladega or and he got a sign
- 37:57Speaker 1: to it, and then they put it in there. They
- 37:59Speaker 1: said it's been in there since last year. The FBI
- 38:01Speaker 1: and the US prosecutors again say the decision not to
- 38:04Speaker 1: pursue federal charges is proper after reviewing all available facts
- 38:08Speaker 1: and all applicable federal laws. So they're not going to
- 38:13Speaker 1: um pursue it. They said it wasn't a crime, and
- 38:15Speaker 1: it wasn't a hate crime. That's cool. Well, that's good, good, yeah,
- 38:19Speaker 1: because I know he was feeling some type of way black.
- 38:25Speaker 1: Oh my god, did you see him? He was emotional.
- 38:28Speaker 1: But I'm no good hair. Well, if I walk in
- 38:29Speaker 1: the garage and see a newse I'm gonna figures for
- 38:32Speaker 1: me and then exactly and then the turn up is real,
- 38:36Speaker 1: all the way turns, all everybody wrong, trying to win.
- 38:42Speaker 1: I'm running over. He word getting tossed about is MM
- 38:50Speaker 1: which M don't. But he handled it. Yeah, why ill okay?
- 39:04Speaker 1: And where dim x l it? Would have been. Might
- 39:16Speaker 1: they might have found that news wasn't hate Krame but
- 39:18Speaker 1: Steve as Steve definitely hate Cram all right, coming up
- 39:24Speaker 1: next and thirty four minutes after the hour, we'll have
- 39:26Speaker 1: more of the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Right after this.
- 39:29Speaker 1: You're listening to the Steven Show. Dozens of mourners, most
- 39:35Speaker 1: dressed in white and nearly all wearing masks, filled the
- 39:39Speaker 1: historic Ebenezer Baptist Church yesterday for the private funeral of
- 39:42Speaker 1: Ray Shard Brooks. Um Ray Shard Brooks, of course, was
- 39:46Speaker 1: the unarmed black man who was fatally shot by a
- 39:48Speaker 1: white police officer outside of Atlanta's Wendy's Restaurant almost two
- 39:53Speaker 1: weeks ago. Uh Brooks was remembered as a giving, loving person,
- 39:58Speaker 1: a devoted husband, and a wonderful father of three daughters
- 40:01Speaker 1: and a step son. Wow Reverend Berneath King delivered a
- 40:05Speaker 1: moving message at the church where her father, Reverend Doctor
- 40:08Speaker 1: Martin Luther King Junior, once preached, take a listen. I
- 40:12Speaker 1: am here to stand with you in what feels like
- 40:15Speaker 1: an all too familiar moment. Having a father killed when
- 40:20Speaker 1: I was only five years of age, my heart deeply
- 40:26Speaker 1: grieves Rachard Brooks's life matters, and he should have been
- 40:32Speaker 1: able to live, to enjoy his family and watch his
- 40:36Speaker 1: kids grow up into adulthood. And the officers should have
- 40:42Speaker 1: gone home that night without blood on their hands. This
- 40:47Speaker 1: is the great tragedy in our nation that must cease.
- 40:51Speaker 1: We are here because individuals continue to hide behind badges
- 40:57Speaker 1: and trainings and policies procedures, rather than regarding the humanity
- 41:05Speaker 1: of others in general and black lives specifically. Wow Wow
- 41:11Speaker 1: like that Welson. Yeah, I'm very h the cop who
- 41:17Speaker 1: shot mister Brooks. Of course, twenty seven year old Garrett
- 41:21Speaker 1: Roth was fired and charged with capital with the murder felony.
- 41:24Speaker 1: They'd have moved him to another jail m for safety reason. Yeah,
- 41:30Speaker 1: they're gonna get you how long, Well, you can't move
- 41:33Speaker 1: you And I know all white jails, so right at
- 41:38Speaker 1: some point you're gonna run into a black person in
- 41:40Speaker 1: a minute, Ain't there are no all white jails? Now, Okay,
- 41:46Speaker 1: we in there. I think said, there's amount of time
- 41:51Speaker 1: it's gonna happen. You can get in protective because if
- 41:55Speaker 1: you want to, it's gonna happen. M hmmm, I'm gonna
- 41:58Speaker 1: tell you high it's gonna happen. They're gonna pay one
- 42:01Speaker 1: of your little guard friends, one of your little guards,
- 42:04Speaker 1: gonna turn your hands in, probably gonna be the black guard.
- 42:06Speaker 1: I'm just gonna throw that out there for you. So
- 42:08Speaker 1: don't get friendly with Harold Banks because he can. You
- 42:11Speaker 1: watch a lot of TV, don't you before. That's exactly
- 42:16Speaker 1: how it happens in the movie. Yeah, I know, life
- 42:23Speaker 1: is definitely stranger than Prisoner. Ain't science fiction. That ain't
- 42:28Speaker 1: sci fi. That's real. Everything you see in the movie
- 42:31Speaker 1: doesn't happen, you know. Um, it's it's it's it's a
- 42:35Speaker 1: sad state for this young man to lose his life.
- 42:38Speaker 1: Like she said before, he was allowed to see his
- 42:41Speaker 1: children grow up, and repeatedly it happens. But it's it
- 42:45Speaker 1: keeps happening just to us. So here's a deal. I'm
- 42:50Speaker 1: going to continue to say it. And I got to
- 42:52Speaker 1: find a way, and I want somebody that send politics
- 42:55Speaker 1: to help me with this. I started with Pcard sellers.
- 42:58Speaker 1: I asked Paccard sellers on a zoom call we were
- 43:01Speaker 1: doing with my boys from mentoring mondays. I want to
- 43:05Speaker 1: find a way to get this forward for mandatory police sentences,
- 43:11Speaker 1: nothing special against the police. Just can the police be
- 43:16Speaker 1: upheld to the same law that they are trained and
- 43:20Speaker 1: hired to hold us too. If they could be held
- 43:24Speaker 1: just to that same law, that's not asking a lot,
- 43:27Speaker 1: that's not unreasonable. That's a very common sense thinking. If
- 43:31Speaker 1: I can't kill an unarmed man and get away with it,
- 43:35Speaker 1: then neither should you. If I can't shoot a person
- 43:38Speaker 1: in the back running away, then neither should you. If
- 43:44Speaker 1: I can't prove that my life was in danger, and
- 43:49Speaker 1: you take another person's life and it finds out he
- 43:53Speaker 1: just had a sell phone or was reaching for his keys, unarmed, unarmed,
- 43:58Speaker 1: you you have to do some time, and I think
- 44:01Speaker 1: that will cause everybody a bit of pause. But right
- 44:05Speaker 1: now you could do what you want to do and
- 44:07Speaker 1: say it's because I'm a police officer. Yeah, well you've
- 44:10Speaker 1: been a police officer. Should not give you the permission
- 44:12Speaker 1: to deside whether we die to day or nothing. You
- 44:15Speaker 1: You should not have that right, not with twenty one
- 44:17Speaker 1: weeks of training. All right, we're gonna switch gears here
- 44:20Speaker 1: and try to make you laugh even more with today's
- 44:23Speaker 1: praying phone call with the nephew coming up right after this,
- 44:26Speaker 1: you're listening to coming up at the top of the hour,
- 44:33Speaker 1: right about four minutes after. It's my strawberry letter for today,
- 44:36Speaker 1: subject should I cancel the party or cancel my girlfriend?
- 44:43Speaker 1: All right, right now, the nephew is here with today's
- 44:47Speaker 1: praying phone call. What you got for us, NEF today?
- 44:49Speaker 1: Your new boss? You're a new bass Okay, your new bass?
- 44:58Speaker 1: That sounds all right? Okay, I'm with you. I'm so
- 45:02Speaker 1: I'm with you so far for you franking employees about you.
- 45:06Speaker 1: I want you want to hear the twist because I
- 45:08Speaker 1: let I let it run if you want to hit yeah, yeah,
- 45:11Speaker 1: like a like a head Come on, cad dog runy. Hello, Hello,
- 45:16Speaker 1: I'm trying to reach Jason place. Yester, how cannot help you? Hey, Jason,
- 45:21Speaker 1: this is Lyle. I'm giving you a call out of
- 45:23Speaker 1: human resources. Right. How you doing? You're the former the
- 45:26Speaker 1: project guy out there? Yes, I am on the project manageers.
- 45:29Speaker 1: I cannot help you. Listen, you've been training an individual
- 45:33Speaker 1: out there, I think for the last month or so
- 45:35Speaker 1: you have you've been training a Yes, great guy, um
- 45:40Speaker 1: doing great work. He's doing good? Okay? How was he is?
- 45:43Speaker 1: He coming along pretty good with everything? Oh? Man? He
- 45:45Speaker 1: picking up real good man? He learned to trade. I
- 45:48Speaker 1: mean he's picking up just let us love from me,
- 45:50Speaker 1: pick up excellent young walker. And here how many monon
- 45:53Speaker 1: weeks of training out there? I will say probably about
- 45:56Speaker 1: another week or two or we let him, you know,
- 45:58Speaker 1: put him on his arm. Okay, and you think he'll
- 46:01Speaker 1: handle it efficiently? Oh? Yes, I think he would be
- 46:03Speaker 1: a great, great employee. Okay, you've been with the company?
- 46:06Speaker 1: How long? Going on about seventeen years? Yeah? My records
- 46:11Speaker 1: are telling me somewhere around sixteen plus, right, right, Okay,
- 46:15Speaker 1: you've been with us quite a while. And first of all,
- 46:18Speaker 1: let you know we're grateful of you, of the work
- 46:20Speaker 1: that you're putting in. Well, man, I appreciate a man
- 46:23Speaker 1: made man. I appreciate it. You have to company to
- 46:25Speaker 1: man and you know, being here to eat many years man.
- 46:27Speaker 1: He let you know, man, I love my company exactly. Listen,
- 46:30Speaker 1: we got a few adjustments we're gonna be making out
- 46:33Speaker 1: there on the plan. Here's what we're gonna do now
- 46:36Speaker 1: you say, gonna be done in about a week or two? Yes,
- 46:39Speaker 1: about a week. Okay, here's here's what we're gonna do
- 46:42Speaker 1: on that particular day that he gets released. And you
- 46:45Speaker 1: you definitely know he's ready for everything. Um, I'm gonna
- 46:49Speaker 1: want you to give him your key card as well
- 46:52Speaker 1: as the key to your office. What man, I'm gonna
- 46:57Speaker 1: want you to give him your key card that gets
- 46:59Speaker 1: you actually onto the property. And you have you have
- 47:02Speaker 1: your own parking space too, don't you? Yes? I do. Okay,
- 47:07Speaker 1: Now we're gonna need you to give it your key
- 47:09Speaker 1: card in your office key and um, well, we'll find
- 47:13Speaker 1: you another place to park. He's actually probably gonna be
- 47:15Speaker 1: parking in your space. Hold hold, what you mean you're
- 47:18Speaker 1: telling me to give him my key parking right, I'm
- 47:20Speaker 1: talking to your parking space, but your key card to
- 47:24Speaker 1: get you onto the property and a little electrical card
- 47:27Speaker 1: there right that as well as your office. He's gonna
- 47:30Speaker 1: actually be taking over as project manager. No, no, sir,
- 47:34Speaker 1: I'm not giving up nothing, sir, nobody to think over
- 47:38Speaker 1: the pocket manager. Let's let's first of all, sir, let's
- 47:40Speaker 1: do this. Let's stone the language down. Okay, we're gonna
- 47:42Speaker 1: find a place for you, but for the time being,
- 47:44Speaker 1: we're gonna put you back into play until we find
- 47:46Speaker 1: the game. I'm fignd the place of me, my place
- 47:49Speaker 1: where right now? I'm not moving from nowhere. That's akay.
- 47:53Speaker 1: I'm not getting into to sign me nothing like I
- 47:56Speaker 1: I seventeen years op. Ain't nobody said to sign me.
- 48:00Speaker 1: Not a place to move. You got to understand that
- 48:02Speaker 1: part down. I got seventeen years up in him and
- 48:05Speaker 1: chain a young guy, and this guy got a couple
- 48:07Speaker 1: of months, and you're telling me the other one to
- 48:08Speaker 1: do what me move me, Jason, this is a temporary move.
- 48:11Speaker 1: We're gonna find something better for you. No, you ain't
- 48:14Speaker 1: know what this project. Ain't nobody got that understanding. This
- 48:18Speaker 1: has come from the head and on the head and
- 48:22Speaker 1: head is I know, the head of people. This decision
- 48:24Speaker 1: actually come from the vice president. They ain't told me
- 48:26Speaker 1: none of that. It comes to me first. I'll tell
- 48:28Speaker 1: you what, Jason, this is something I'm supposed to probably
- 48:30Speaker 1: not tell you. But let me let me let you
- 48:32Speaker 1: in on a little something. Yeah, let me hand on
- 48:33Speaker 1: something because this is gonna be some bull him because
- 48:35Speaker 1: I shut the whole place up out him. And I mean,
- 48:38Speaker 1: let me explain something to you, Jason. This young guy
- 48:40Speaker 1: that you've been training, he's actually the nephew of the
- 48:43Speaker 1: vice president. I don't give a about no neshew or
- 48:46Speaker 1: no vice president. Man, do you think I care about
- 48:48Speaker 1: some president telling him share the president? I said what
- 48:51Speaker 1: I said, yeah, man, the nexhew? Who care about the nephew?
- 48:54Speaker 1: They ain't never told me this? Well? Can I expect
- 48:57Speaker 1: you to give your key over to him? No? Hell no,
- 49:00Speaker 1: I ain't getting nobody nothing. Definitely get the law to
- 49:02Speaker 1: come and get it. Ain't nobody getting nothing. I ain't
- 49:04Speaker 1: leaving how that sounds. So all I can ask you
- 49:06Speaker 1: for is I need your key card and I need
- 49:08Speaker 1: the key to your offers. I need you to empty
- 49:10Speaker 1: out your things so we can move fixture in there
- 49:13Speaker 1: and you a place. This is just a temporary slop
- 49:16Speaker 1: right now, you damn all. It ain't nobody getting nothing
- 49:21Speaker 1: saying okay, and I've been here. I tell you what
- 49:23Speaker 1: I gonna do. I go out there and I tempt
- 49:25Speaker 1: slap this who have something? Okay? And then I find
- 49:28Speaker 1: out who is boll says or whoever did nest the
- 49:30Speaker 1: bot to be and kick hit because I ain't giving
- 49:32Speaker 1: up nothing. And I'm talking about job y'all with the
- 49:35Speaker 1: wrong one, okay, with the wrong one at this time,
- 49:38Speaker 1: because nobody taking nothing. You're talking about beating the vice
- 49:41Speaker 1: president's nephew you're you're you're losing control here. Uh, Jason, No,
- 49:45Speaker 1: I ain't losing nothing. I'm gonna think control. I'm gonna
- 49:48Speaker 1: lose and when I kickh how that sounds? And I'm
- 49:50Speaker 1: gonna kick the boat to see you? All of them?
- 49:52Speaker 1: How that sounds? That makes sound clear to you? It
- 49:55Speaker 1: makes sense. We're trying to just give you someplace to
- 49:57Speaker 1: be temporarily until I find you another slot. Ain't no
- 50:00Speaker 1: other blin. My slot is my slot. I'm gonna kick it.
- 50:04Speaker 1: Gives rats? Not how that sound to you? Turn All
- 50:10Speaker 1: I'm asking is I need your key card and I
- 50:12Speaker 1: need the key to the office. Get all your things
- 50:15Speaker 1: out so I can get Victor moved in within the
- 50:17Speaker 1: next week. Ain't he's Okay? All of them, I don't
- 50:20Speaker 1: give a how that sounds. I don't care nothing about them. Okay,
- 50:23Speaker 1: because I see you or maybe somebody out here today. Okay,
- 50:27Speaker 1: I'm tired of it and this ain't gonna happen to me.
- 50:29Speaker 1: I'm gonna get security to come over and walk you out. Okay. No,
- 50:32Speaker 1: ain't no security for to walk me no where? How
- 50:34Speaker 1: that sounds. I came here, ain't buy myself. Ain't nobody
- 50:37Speaker 1: for to walk me about the end. Are you having
- 50:39Speaker 1: problems moving out for the nephew. The nephew okay, the
- 50:42Speaker 1: nephew is not gonna come in here and take Okay,
- 50:45Speaker 1: there's another that you need to be aware of. Do
- 50:47Speaker 1: you know who the other nephew is? Hell no, I
- 50:49Speaker 1: ain't never seen no other nephew. I ain't know that
- 50:51Speaker 1: wasn't nephew. Let me tell you who the other one is?
- 50:53Speaker 1: Who who the other one is? The other one is nephew?
- 50:55Speaker 1: Taught me from the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Jason, you
- 50:59Speaker 1: just got rank y'all lying with me. Man, Come on, man,
- 51:04Speaker 1: don't play with me. Man, y'all. Man, this ain't no tommy. Man,

- 51:21Speaker 1: got I got one thing to ask you, Man, what's
- 51:23Speaker 1: the baddest radio show in the land. That's Steve Harvey
- 51:27Speaker 1: Morning Shot. It is your new boss. I don't care
- 51:34Speaker 1: nothing about. You've been training him. That's who trying to
- 51:37Speaker 1: be the bass. Yeah, that was a twist. All right?
- 51:40Speaker 1: Is that almost got your ba whooped again? But why
- 51:44Speaker 1: are you playing all the time? Yeah? Yeah, that's real, right, Yeah,
- 51:51Speaker 1: that's a real that's cold that's cold blood. That is it? Really? Is?
- 51:57Speaker 1: It happens every other week? Rush. Yeah, And it's bad
- 52:00Speaker 1: for the person that's doing it and for the person
- 52:03Speaker 1: that's having it getting it done too. It's bad for
- 52:05Speaker 1: both of them. Yeah, toxic work environments. Yeah, really, you
- 52:11Speaker 1: don't want that. You want it to go smooth. Wa
- 52:14Speaker 1: one day we get this trump somebody if you get
- 52:16Speaker 1: his job. You know what I'm saying. You want me

- 52:33Speaker 1: November third, Yeah, November third, but November. Yeah, we have
- 52:39Speaker 1: to do our get it. We have to do our part,
- 52:42Speaker 1: do our part. Vote vote vote vote vote vote vote. Yeah,
- 52:48Speaker 1: November fourth, we hopefully, Yeah, we'll be saying just that. Yeah,
- 52:54Speaker 1: you need us. They ought to let us help. They
- 52:56Speaker 1: ought to let us move him out to watch got
- 52:58Speaker 1: to move nothing. We'll get it. Okay. Do let me

- 53:06Speaker 1: stuff you can take Okay, no, okay, it's just his
- 53:11Speaker 1: his clothes. A lot of long times. You know, there
- 53:13Speaker 1: ain't a lot of clothes. You know, you can't. We
- 53:16Speaker 1: gotta gotta my faulk fridgerated full of McDonald burgers. Now,
- 53:19Speaker 1: we gotta get that out of there. I just don't
- 53:22Speaker 1: want us to take it for granted. You know that

- 54:15Speaker 1: We got it for you. Here. It is the strawberry letter,
- 54:18Speaker 1: Thank you nephew. Should I cancel the party or cancel
- 54:21Speaker 1: my girlfriend? Dear Steve Anne Shirley. I've been with my
- 54:24Speaker 1: girlfriend for ten years and we're having our first major issue.
- 54:29Speaker 1: When I met my girlfriend, she was new in town,
- 54:31Speaker 1: so I introduced her to my group of friends and
- 54:34Speaker 1: their wives. There are four couples that hang out, and
- 54:37Speaker 1: we've all known each other since college. The wives were
- 54:40Speaker 1: all nice enough to my girlfriend, but they've never included
- 54:43Speaker 1: her in girls night out or invited her to brunch
- 54:46Speaker 1: with them. Whenever we're all together, I make sure my
- 54:49Speaker 1: girlfriend feels included. But now there is a problem that
- 54:53Speaker 1: I need to deal with. My girlfriend thinks that my
- 54:55Speaker 1: best friend's wife flirts with me. I will admit that
- 54:59Speaker 1: my best friends gets a bit out of hand when
- 55:01Speaker 1: she's had too much wine, but her husband is always
- 55:04Speaker 1: around and he thinks it's funny. My girlfriend says, as
- 55:07Speaker 1: a woman, she sees things differently than I do. Last weekend,
- 55:12Speaker 1: we all met at the park for a friend's birthday
- 55:15Speaker 1: and we got on the subject of race and politics.
- 55:18Speaker 1: My best friend's wife sat by me and we talked
- 55:21Speaker 1: and agreed on most of the issues. My girlfriend was
- 55:24Speaker 1: giving me the evil eye the whole time, and I
- 55:27Speaker 1: was very uncomfortable. When we left, my girlfriend was furious.
- 55:32Speaker 1: So it's our return to host the annual Fourth of
- 55:36Speaker 1: July celebration at our house. And my girlfriend said, my
- 55:40Speaker 1: best friend's wife is not invited, but her husband can come.
- 55:45Speaker 1: What the hell? How can I get my girlfriend to
- 55:48Speaker 1: realize that she might be the problem. I love her,
- 55:51Speaker 1: but I am sick of constantly validating her feelings. Should
- 55:55Speaker 1: I cancel the Fourth of July get together? Or should
- 55:58Speaker 1: I cancel my girl friend? Please advise? Are you serious
- 56:03Speaker 1: right now? You would cancel your girlfriend of ten years
- 56:08Speaker 1: over this? I mean, I just got to say to that, well, well,
- 56:12Speaker 1: well aren't you aren't your shallow sir? Aren't you drawing
- 56:16Speaker 1: a line in the sand and picking sides here and
- 56:19Speaker 1: all because you're a little uncomfortable right now? I mean,
- 56:22Speaker 1: imagine how your girl feels now, mind you? I think
- 56:26Speaker 1: she's dead wrong, No, I'm gonna say this. She's just
- 56:29Speaker 1: less than tactful for not inviting this flirty pants to
- 56:33Speaker 1: your party, but her husband can come. Okay, that's awkward
- 56:35Speaker 1: for everyone. I get that awkward for everyone involved. But
- 56:39Speaker 1: that's what old girl gets for being so disrespectful to
- 56:42Speaker 1: your girlfriend. She's putting her foot down. I think you,
- 56:45Speaker 1: on the other hand, should should be standing by her.
- 56:48Speaker 1: You should be supporting your girlfriend and not taking their
- 56:51Speaker 1: side or anyone else's side who comes up against her.
- 56:55Speaker 1: You guys have been together for ten years. You should
- 56:57Speaker 1: have said something a long time ago when they never
- 57:00Speaker 1: included her socially. You knew all about it and said
- 57:04Speaker 1: or did nothing. These are your friends. She was new
- 57:07Speaker 1: in town. You introduced her to your group of friends,
- 57:10Speaker 1: and they snub your girl when they have girls night out,
- 57:14Speaker 1: when they have brunches and things like that. And this
- 57:17Speaker 1: woman openly flirts with you in your face, in her face,
- 57:21Speaker 1: and all you do is eat it up and blame
- 57:23Speaker 1: your girl. Why. I'll tell you why. I know why,
- 57:27Speaker 1: because you like it. You like the attention she's giving you,
- 57:30Speaker 1: and the fact that her husband is there and does
- 57:32Speaker 1: nothing thinks it's funny. That makes it all okay, doesn't it. Meanwhile,
- 57:36Speaker 1: your girlfriend is feeling some kind of way and she's
- 57:40Speaker 1: letting you know. And okay, this is a side note here.
- 57:44Speaker 1: Why is it that men always pretend they don't know
- 57:52Speaker 1: when a woman is checking for them? You guys never
- 57:55Speaker 1: know this. She was oh when, oh, no, girl, you're tripping.
- 58:04Speaker 1: You're crazy. Come on, knock it off, guys, you know
- 58:09Speaker 1: what's up? And so do we? Okay, so do we.
- 58:12Speaker 1: That's what she's telling you. She feels differently about it
- 58:15Speaker 1: because she's a woman. So I say to you, sir,
- 58:18Speaker 1: if you are considering dumping your ten year girlfriend over
- 58:21Speaker 1: this stupid mess, she's probably better off without you. This
- 58:24Speaker 1: is over a party, and come on, she's given you
- 58:27Speaker 1: ten years more than you deserve. That's what I say, Steve.
- 58:32Speaker 1: We have a difference of opinion here, so we might
- 58:36Speaker 1: as well get started. Let's just start with the subject
- 58:40Speaker 1: of the letter. Should I counsel the party? All? Counsel
- 58:45Speaker 1: my girlfriend? How is that a question? Now, Shirley says,
- 58:50Speaker 1: after she's been with you ten years. Well, that's why
- 58:54Speaker 1: we have a problem right here. If you've been the
- 58:57Speaker 1: girlfriend after college for ten years, has it occurred to
- 59:04Speaker 1: you that he don't want you for no more than
- 59:07Speaker 1: he already getting from you. If you've been with a
- 59:10Speaker 1: man after college for ten years and he ain't asked
- 59:13Speaker 1: you to marry him yet, something wrong. So let's just
- 59:17Speaker 1: start there. Now, let's go on down the line. You
- 59:21Speaker 1: got this best friend now for oh, here's the next part.
- 59:25Speaker 1: You introduced to a group of friends, and for ten years,
- 59:28Speaker 1: they don't ask her to go to the happy hour, shopping,
- 59:33Speaker 1: to the movie, to brunch. They don't like her. They
- 59:41Speaker 1: do not like your girlfriend. It's something about her that
- 59:46Speaker 1: they've all picked up on and detected, and they've decided
- 59:50Speaker 1: as a group that they don't like her. That's why
- 59:54Speaker 1: you ain't married her, because you didn't detected some things too.
- 59:58Speaker 1: Now this letter is that's the last straw Now when
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: she gets a little bit to drink, you'll admit she's
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: a bit much, and she'd be saying, wow, st and
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: your butt. Your boy be right there, your best friend,
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: and he think it's funny, what dude? Thanks, it's funny
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: that his girl is hidden on another dude because she
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: drops ha ha Hi? He him right? Who finds that funny?
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: There's something wrong with this whole little group. Hold that thought.
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: We'll have part two of your response coming up at
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: twenty three minutes after the hour. Today's strawberry letter titles
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: should I cancel the party or cancel my girlfriend? We'll
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: get back into it right after this. You're listening show.
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: Come on, Steve, let's recap today's Strawberry letters. Should I
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: cancel the party or cancel my girlfriend? That's that's a
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: crazy question. It is. This is just your turn to
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: do a Fourth of July, and you're considering canceling not
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: canceling that, but canceling your girlfriend, who's been your girlfriend
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: from ten years, who you don't really want no more
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: that for what she is anyway, you don't protect her
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: like you want her to be your wife ten years.
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: Don't nobody like her. She don't go to brunch half out,
- 1:01:20Speaker 1: They don't invite out ten years. And then when you're
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: all together, you always make sure when you're all together
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: that my girlfriend feels included. You're forcing her into the bunge.
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: But now there's a problem. My girlfriend thinks that my
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: best friend wife furtual me and I will admit when
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: she gets a bit out of hand, when she's had
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: too much wine and her husband always around it, he
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: thinks it's funny. I don't understand that right there, How
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: that's funny every damn time she gets drunk. I wanted
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: you that ain't funny. But like Shirley said, you kind
- 1:01:59Speaker 1: of enjoyed that, so you put up with it. I
- 1:02:03Speaker 1: bet if it wasn't your best friend's girl, I better
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: be something to this. The fact that your girlfriend has
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: noticed this. Women do see things that men don't see it,
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: and surely said why y'all always act like y'all don't
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: see it because we don't. We actually don't. Hey, let
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: me tell you something. If we did, we'd act on it.
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: We don't see it, but since you pointed it out,
- 1:02:31Speaker 1: we're looking forward. Okay, okay, see you want some of
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: this big daddy all right? Now? Yeah, what's up with you?
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: See that's what it turned into. Well, here's a deal.
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: Last weekend we all met at the park from a
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: friend's birthday. We got on subject of racing politics and
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: your best friend's wife said by me, and we talked
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: and greed the most issues. My girlfriend was giving you
- 1:02:59Speaker 1: the evil the whole time, and I was very uncomfortable.
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: You should have moved, got your ass up off that
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: park bench, and what's set on the other side. You
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: saw her looking at you, your stupid ass, you're gonna
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: stay there now. That's why your ass was uncomfortable. You
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: saw her looking upside your head talking to this drunk healther.
- 1:03:23Speaker 1: Then when we left, your girlfriend was furious. So now
- 1:03:26Speaker 1: as y'all's time, the horse host the forth of July
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: celebration at your house, and my girlfriend said, your best
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: friend wife is not invited, but her husband can come.
- 1:03:35Speaker 1: What the hell right exactly? You ain't lying, y'all? What
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: the hell you Your boy can come? But hey, man,
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: Sheila don't want your wife. Sheila said, I don't even
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: know how you say that. Hey girl, hey man, let
- 1:03:52Speaker 1: me forth of July thing. Listen, you're welcome to come,
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: but huh jacket uh jack um reader reader read it
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: on want sheila? Excuse me? I said? My wife said
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: you're welcome her. You can come down, you know you
- 1:04:16Speaker 1: might do. But readers say, Sheila can't come. You gotta
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: come so low to the fourth July. No, no, no,
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: you misunderstanding. Dog. You good. You could come over, get
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: yourself some que get some drinks. Man, you have some
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: nice music. But reader don't want Sheila to come. Yeah no, no, no,
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: well you know because she you know, because you no
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: matter where she drank. It's fun. Man. Look I know
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: it's all fun. It don't even bother me, man, But man,
- 1:04:58Speaker 1: my girl be tripping man, look, I don't know how
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: we're gonna do this here, but you know you're welcome
- 1:05:04Speaker 1: to come because dogs really don't we dogs. But uh
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: ha ha he he she can't come. Cannot come? He
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: read it right? How can I get my girlfriend to
- 1:05:23Speaker 1: realize that she might be the problem? She is? They
- 1:05:26Speaker 1: don't invite her know where. She's not really that likable
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: to the group, None of them girls and say, you
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: know what, let's invite read them ain't know what I'm
- 1:05:35Speaker 1: saying that listen, everybody, just because she's not married to him,
- 1:05:39Speaker 1: and everybody know what else you're doing, dough and the
- 1:05:43Speaker 1: wives know it, so they know that your girl ain't
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: gonna make make She ain't gonna make the race, so
- 1:05:51Speaker 1: they all ready to cut her out. She ain't the
- 1:05:54Speaker 1: one because you because you know, because you know what, man,
- 1:05:56Speaker 1: you're doing your thing. But now y'all had this thing
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: at your house, she ain't having over there. So your
- 1:06:04Speaker 1: question is what do I do? Do I cancel the
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: party or counsel my girlfriend? But I'm sick of constantly
- 1:06:10Speaker 1: validating her feelings. That's what's wrong. You always got to
- 1:06:14Speaker 1: make her feel included in all of that, and you exhausted.
- 1:06:18Speaker 1: I hadn't done that before. Dog. It's exhausted. You always
- 1:06:21Speaker 1: got to explain dog dog, She tied dog dog dog dog.
- 1:06:28Speaker 1: She did had a long day and he tired of that.
- 1:06:33Speaker 1: Counsel fourth of July or my girlfriend. I think the
- 1:06:38Speaker 1: girlfriend should cancel him, all right, Steve Poster comments, you'll
- 1:06:44Speaker 1: probably be happy. Yeah she will too. Poster comments on
- 1:06:48Speaker 1: today's Strawberry Letter at Steve Harvey FM on Instagram and Facebook,
- 1:06:52Speaker 1: and check out the Strawberry Letter podcast on demand coming
- 1:06:55Speaker 1: up at forty six minutes after the hour and trending
- 1:06:58Speaker 1: news out of feeling. Bill Cosby has been granted an
- 1:07:02Speaker 1: appeal in his sexual assault case by the Pennsylvania Supreme Court.
- 1:07:07Speaker 1: We'll talk about it right after this. You're listening to
- 1:07:11Speaker 1: Dave Harvey Morning Show. The Pennsylvania Supreme Court said yesterday
- 1:07:15Speaker 1: that it has accepted convicted sex offender Bill Cosby's appeal
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: of his two eighteen conviction, thus raising the possibility that
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: it might be overturned in the future. The Supreme Court
- 1:07:29Speaker 1: said it will review the appellate Panel's decision in Cosby's
- 1:07:32Speaker 1: case based on the issue that focuses on the witnesses
- 1:07:36Speaker 1: who testified about alleged assault that were not part of
- 1:07:39Speaker 1: the charges, and the second focuses on the prior district
- 1:07:43Speaker 1: attorney's decision not to charge Cosby a decade ago. The
- 1:07:48Speaker 1: eighty two year old Cosby has been imprisoned for nearly
- 1:07:51Speaker 1: two years after a jury convicted him of drugging and
- 1:07:54Speaker 1: sexually assaulting a woman at his home back in two
- 1:07:57Speaker 1: thousand and four. He is serving a three to two
- 1:08:00Speaker 1: ten years sentence. Bill's wife, Camille Kasby, spoke to ABC
- 1:08:04Speaker 1: News last night. Take a listen. My first reaction is hopefulness, possibilities.
- 1:08:10Speaker 1: Now finally there is a court, the state's highest court,
- 1:08:14Speaker 1: that has said, wait a minute, there are some problems here.
- 1:08:18Speaker 1: They can be considered for an appeal. I'm very very
- 1:08:21Speaker 1: pleased with It's not one hundred percent, but now I'm
- 1:08:24Speaker 1: looking at something that is possible, possible for vindication. That
- 1:08:29Speaker 1: is the goal we communicate every single day. My husband
- 1:08:33Speaker 1: is doing very well, and in terms of visiting him, no,
- 1:08:38Speaker 1: I do not want to see my husband in that
- 1:08:41Speaker 1: kind of an environment, and he doesn't want me to
- 1:08:43Speaker 1: see him in that kind of an environment. Wow, wow,
- 1:08:46Speaker 1: you know something. I think that she is well within
- 1:08:50Speaker 1: her right to feel how she's feeling. It's her husband,
- 1:08:55Speaker 1: and though the general consensus and the public feels one
- 1:08:59Speaker 1: way or her husband. Now, if there will are some
- 1:09:02Speaker 1: improprieties that happened the way our judicial system is set up,
- 1:09:06Speaker 1: then he's entitled to an appeal like everyone else, like
- 1:09:10Speaker 1: everyone else, because seemingly, and like she said, it's not
- 1:09:16Speaker 1: but she's hopeful. And you know, if they've done something
- 1:09:19Speaker 1: wrong in the procedure, you can't do that and then
- 1:09:22Speaker 1: give the man time, not if you broke a procedure,
- 1:09:26Speaker 1: and that happens in the judicial system a lot of times. Look,
- 1:09:30Speaker 1: if you do wrong, you have to pay. But since
- 1:09:32Speaker 1: we're talking about it, if you do wrong, you have
- 1:09:34Speaker 1: to pay. Ain't that what all these protests about? Yeah? Okay,
- 1:09:40Speaker 1: so yeah, and he's done two years. Like I said,
- 1:09:44Speaker 1: he's serving a three to ten years sentence. So he's
- 1:09:47Speaker 1: eighty two years old. And on the other side of it,
- 1:09:51Speaker 1: the victim and her lawyers, they feel that what the
- 1:09:55Speaker 1: trial court, what their decision was, will hold up. So again,
- 1:10:00Speaker 1: and it's up to the Pennsylvania Supreme Court to hear
- 1:10:03Speaker 1: both sides of it and make their decision from there.
- 1:10:06Speaker 1: And Missus Cosby said she's hopeful, but she said she
- 1:10:10Speaker 1: doesn't want to you know what, I can kind of
- 1:10:12Speaker 1: understand that, Yeah, she doesn't want to see him in that,
- 1:10:15Speaker 1: and he doesn't want her to see him like that.
- 1:10:18Speaker 1: You know. All right, coming up at the top of
- 1:10:21Speaker 1: the hour, we'll have more of the Steve Harvey Morning
- 1:10:23Speaker 1: Show right after this you're listening to. All right, here's
- 1:10:31Speaker 1: a question for you guys. You know, we've heard a
- 1:10:34Speaker 1: lot about what's been going on since you know, COVID
- 1:10:37Speaker 1: nineteen and everything. We've been quarantine in the home. Some
- 1:10:40Speaker 1: people have gotten a divorce, some people have gotten closer.
- 1:10:43Speaker 1: I mean, you know, it's just you don't know what's
- 1:10:46Speaker 1: going on. Some people decided they didn't like each other anymore. Well,
- 1:10:49Speaker 1: here's the question from each other. Yeah, yeah, one side
- 1:10:53Speaker 1: of exactly apartment. That's all. It's a little difficult, isn't it.
- 1:11:02Speaker 1: All Right, So here's a question. Are you and your
- 1:11:04Speaker 1: your significant other, your spouse, are you arguing over how
- 1:11:07Speaker 1: much you should go out and do right now? Because
- 1:11:10Speaker 1: you know, some of a lot of the cities and
- 1:11:12Speaker 1: states are opening up so people can go out. So,
- 1:11:16Speaker 1: you know, here's some of the questions. Should you go
- 1:11:18Speaker 1: out to a restaurant? Should you eat outside without masks?
- 1:11:22Speaker 1: I mean, should you guys go to an indoor to
- 1:11:25Speaker 1: an outdoor birthday party or a barbecue or something? How
- 1:11:28Speaker 1: many public places? How should you you know? Should you go?
- 1:11:33Speaker 1: Is there a debate between you and your significant other
- 1:11:35Speaker 1: unwhere to go and what to do? And with home
- 1:11:39Speaker 1: to do it? These are questions. Let me just say
- 1:11:43Speaker 1: this right here, Okay, we ain't having no arguments about
- 1:11:47Speaker 1: where to go. All of our discussions that has any
- 1:11:53Speaker 1: argumentative tone to it is simply because she wants to
- 1:11:58Speaker 1: talk when I don't, won't do. You're talking talking in
- 1:12:08Speaker 1: the spring, were summer, it's covid. Oh there's coding, and
- 1:12:16Speaker 1: she wants to talk every day. You know I work
- 1:12:22Speaker 1: from the house now we all do? Yeah, Well, I
- 1:12:27Speaker 1: got I got to get out of here. We talk
- 1:12:30Speaker 1: all day. She come in here while I'm working on
- 1:12:32Speaker 1: the talk. What we just talked? Sit out? And you
- 1:12:37Speaker 1: haven't talked to me today. We talk every day about
- 1:12:42Speaker 1: talking to your nerves. It's too much because so bad
- 1:12:47Speaker 1: and I y'all haven't said anything but today When I
- 1:12:50Speaker 1: get through today's manniverse got so. I just wanted to
- 1:12:56Speaker 1: let you know that after this. You know, we even
- 1:13:01Speaker 1: were discussing like tonight, you know, what do we do tonight?
- 1:13:05Speaker 1: Because anniversary? I got talking talk, But it's gonna be
- 1:13:12Speaker 1: over dinner at the house. March one thing being the
- 1:13:17Speaker 1: president of Senators for Disease Control. You know what, my
- 1:13:22Speaker 1: wife has really made me feel old during COVID. You know,
- 1:13:26Speaker 1: my wife keeps telling me and she got she she
- 1:13:28Speaker 1: ain't got. But one more time to say this to me? What, Steve,
- 1:13:32Speaker 1: you are over sixty, you are in the high risk group,
- 1:13:35Speaker 1: but you don't You're gonna quit saying that to me.
- 1:13:40Speaker 1: I ain't no, damn high risk. I ain't got no conditions.
- 1:13:45Speaker 1: If you left the house, dog dog, I listen to me,
- 1:13:49Speaker 1: ain't been nowhere since March. What that's love? Well, that's
- 1:13:58Speaker 1: what love looks like. Let me leave, But no, this
- 1:14:05Speaker 1: looks like house arrest. The only thing I'm missing is
- 1:14:09Speaker 1: a brace That's all I'm missing, the ankle bracelet. That's
- 1:14:14Speaker 1: the only thing. If I had that on, I would
- 1:14:16Speaker 1: at least explain that this is love, Steve, this is love. Sureley,
- 1:14:21Speaker 1: Do you do the same thing to your husband? I
- 1:14:22Speaker 1: know I do the same. We talk a lot, no
- 1:14:25Speaker 1: to ask him where is he going? And all listen
- 1:14:27Speaker 1: talk a lot? Yeah, sometimes yeah, if I care to. Yeah,
- 1:14:31Speaker 1: let me ask this. Why wouldn't we leave a house?
- 1:14:33Speaker 1: Why do y'all call right after we din left? What
- 1:14:37Speaker 1: what is that about? Yeah? We forgot to say something
- 1:14:43Speaker 1: when you walked out? Yea, that's all it is. Just
- 1:14:49Speaker 1: pick up when I Yeah, you gotta do that. You
- 1:14:53Speaker 1: can't not pick up, but you won't. Oh, don't pick
- 1:14:56Speaker 1: up and see how it goes after right? All right,
- 1:15:01Speaker 1: So so Steve, now you know what love really looks like?
- 1:15:07Speaker 1: Coming up more of today's trending stories in this on
- 1:15:10Speaker 1: the Steve Harvey Morning Show at twenty minutes after the hour,
- 1:15:12Speaker 1: right after this you're listening show. All right, can we

- 1:16:02Speaker 1: But Man, at the end of the day, when I
- 1:16:05Speaker 1: look at her, I'm happy. Man, I'm overjoyed. She's just
- 1:16:09Speaker 1: the one for me. Man, I could not have a
- 1:16:12Speaker 1: better chick. I could not have a better person. I

- 1:16:53Speaker 1: years of marriage. Blissed all right? More of the Steve
- 1:16:56Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show and some training news coming up with
- 1:16:58Speaker 1: thirty three minutes after after this you're listening to show.
- 1:17:04Speaker 1: Dozens of mourners, most dressed in white and nearly all
- 1:17:08Speaker 1: wearing masks, filled the historic Ebenezer Baptist Church yesterday for
- 1:17:12Speaker 1: the private funeral of Ray Schard Brooks. Ray Shard Brooks,
- 1:17:16Speaker 1: of course, was the unarmed black man who was fatally
- 1:17:18Speaker 1: shot by a white police officer outside of Atlanta's Wendy's
- 1:17:22Speaker 1: Restaurant almost two weeks ago. Brooks was remembered as a giving,
- 1:17:27Speaker 1: loving person, a devoted husband, and a wonderful father of
- 1:17:31Speaker 1: three daughters and a step son. Wow. Reverend Bernice King
- 1:17:35Speaker 1: delivered a moving message at the church where her father,
- 1:17:38Speaker 1: Reverend Doctor Martin Luther King Junior, once preached, Take a listen.
- 1:17:42Speaker 1: I am here to stand with you in what feels
- 1:17:45Speaker 1: like an all too familiar moment, having a father killed
- 1:17:51Speaker 1: when I was only five years of age. My heart
- 1:17:56Speaker 1: deeply grieves Ray Schard Brooks's life matters, and he should
- 1:18:03Speaker 1: have been able to live, to enjoy his family and
- 1:18:06Speaker 1: watch his kids grow up into adulthood. And the officers
- 1:18:12Speaker 1: should have gone home that night without blood on their hands.
- 1:18:17Speaker 1: This is the great tragedy in our nation that must cease.
- 1:18:22Speaker 1: We are here because individuals continue to hide behind badges
- 1:18:28Speaker 1: and trainings and policies and procedures rather than regarding the
- 1:18:35Speaker 1: humanity of others in general, and black lives specifically. Wow
- 1:18:41Speaker 1: Wow like that Welson. Yeah, the cop who shot mister Brooks,
- 1:18:48Speaker 1: of course, twenty seven year old Garrett Roth was fired
- 1:18:51Speaker 1: and charged with capital with the murder felony. Many moved
- 1:18:54Speaker 1: him to another jail for safety reason. Yeah, they're gonna
- 1:18:59Speaker 1: get so how long do well? You can't move you
- 1:19:03Speaker 1: and I know all white jails, so right at some
- 1:19:07Speaker 1: point you're gonna run into a black person in a minute,
- 1:19:09Speaker 1: ain't there are no all white jails. Now, Okay, we're
- 1:19:15Speaker 1: in there, she said, it's amount of time it's gonna happen.
- 1:19:22Speaker 1: You can get in protective because if you want to,
- 1:19:25Speaker 1: it's gonna happen. M And I'm gonna tell you how
- 1:19:28Speaker 1: it's gonna happen. They're gonna pay one of your little
- 1:19:30Speaker 1: guard friends, one of your little guards, gonna turn your
- 1:19:34Speaker 1: ass in, probably gonna be the black guard. I'm just
- 1:19:36Speaker 1: gonna throw that out there for you. You know, it's
- 1:19:39Speaker 1: a sad state for this young man to lose his life,
- 1:19:42Speaker 1: Like she said before, he was allowed to see his
- 1:19:45Speaker 1: children grow up and repeatedly it happens. But it's just
- 1:19:49Speaker 1: it keeps happening just to us. So his deal. Can
- 1:19:53Speaker 1: the police be upheld to the same law that they
- 1:19:57Speaker 1: are trained and hired to hold Old Dust two, that's
- 1:20:01Speaker 1: a very common sense thinking coming up. It's our last
- 1:20:04Speaker 1: break of the day, last break of the day, and
- 1:20:09Speaker 1: we'll have some wonderful closing remarks from the anniversary boy
- 1:20:14Speaker 1: himself fourteen years with the love of his life. Yes,
- 1:20:19Speaker 1: Steve Harvey closing remarks forty nine minutes after right after this,
- 1:20:24Speaker 1: you're listening, all right, guys, Here we are last break
- 1:20:29Speaker 1: of the day on this Wednesday hump day. I guess, stee,
- 1:20:38Speaker 1: what do you have plan for your anniversary? Yeah? I
- 1:20:41Speaker 1: can't go nowhere, so we have no in house. I
- 1:20:45Speaker 1: no think so, man, think we're gonna do that day?
- 1:20:49Speaker 1: My wife. Don't let nobody owe you. That's why this
- 1:20:54Speaker 1: has got to end. I can't see your friends that seriously, man,
- 1:21:01Speaker 1: because she took this way too far, like hand washing
- 1:21:05Speaker 1: and all this him in my hands. Seriously, mane they
- 1:21:09Speaker 1: don't even want to be washed, no more dry. That's
- 1:21:13Speaker 1: a good thing. It's a good thing. But but let
- 1:21:17Speaker 1: me say this. In cloth, uh I found uh not
- 1:21:25Speaker 1: the best person in the world, just the best person
- 1:21:28Speaker 1: in the world for me. Uh See. You may not
- 1:21:32Speaker 1: feel that way about it, but that's not important to me.
- 1:21:37Speaker 1: And so as you look for mates and choose mates
- 1:21:40Speaker 1: and decide to make a life with somebody, if that's
- 1:21:42Speaker 1: what you choose to do, find the person that's right
- 1:21:46Speaker 1: for you. I wish you and I wish you well
- 1:21:49Speaker 1: with that endeavor, because that's all it really matters. The
- 1:21:52Speaker 1: other people's opinion of them. It doesn't matter, not one
- 1:21:56Speaker 1: way or the other. You've got to find the person
- 1:22:00Speaker 1: floats your boat that makes you happy. And I want
- 1:22:03Speaker 1: to say this to men about relationships. I was talking
- 1:22:06Speaker 1: to a guy today and I've said it on the
- 1:22:09Speaker 1: show many times. He said, Oh, this is my fourth marriage,
- 1:22:14Speaker 1: and I'm getting sick of getting married. I just can't
- 1:22:16Speaker 1: get a woman to understand how I am. And I said,
- 1:22:19Speaker 1: what seems to be problem, sir? And he says, you know,
- 1:22:24Speaker 1: I want a woman that gets how this is supposed
- 1:22:27Speaker 1: to go. I'm the man in the house and I
- 1:22:30Speaker 1: and I don't want that disputed. I said, brother, how
- 1:22:33Speaker 1: many marriages you'd have for? I said, you'venn have full
- 1:22:35Speaker 1: more like that. I said, that's not the way it works.
- 1:22:39Speaker 1: I said, have you ever thought that marriage is a compromise?
- 1:22:42Speaker 1: Have you ever thought that a quality relationship is a compromise?
- 1:22:46Speaker 1: He said. If I'm the man and were talking it
- 1:22:50Speaker 1: and I say something, it ought to go the way
- 1:22:51Speaker 1: I say, I said, brother, Thus explains the four wives.
- 1:22:56Speaker 1: I said, but you're gonna have four more unless you
- 1:22:58Speaker 1: change that. He said, you know I ain't with that
- 1:23:01Speaker 1: fifty fifty crap either. You know it's sixty forty. I said,
- 1:23:06Speaker 1: as I said, see now you're talking to me, and
- 1:23:09Speaker 1: he said that's what I mean. I said, well, who
- 1:23:11Speaker 1: gets to sixty? He said, I do? Oh? I said,
- 1:23:14Speaker 1: oh you man, I said, that's why you went. He said, man,
- 1:23:17Speaker 1: I've heard you talk about your wife so many times.
- 1:23:19Speaker 1: What makes you have a successful man? I say, the
- 1:23:22Speaker 1: percentage that you use it is off. I said. Marriage
- 1:23:26Speaker 1: is not fifty fifty. It's not sixty forty. I said, marriage,
- 1:23:30Speaker 1: it's eighty five fifteen, and we who are men, get
- 1:23:36Speaker 1: the fifteen. He said, well, that's ridiculous. I'm not taking
- 1:23:40Speaker 1: fifteen percent. I said, see, you're not willing to understand
- 1:23:43Speaker 1: how it works. I said, bro, listen to me. I'm
- 1:23:46Speaker 1: really about fifteen percent of it. I get to do
- 1:23:50Speaker 1: what I want to do fifteen percent of the time.
- 1:23:53Speaker 1: I get a space in the house. That's about fifteen
- 1:23:56Speaker 1: percent of the house at maybe at best. I said,
- 1:24:01Speaker 1: but I take that fifteen. I embrace it, I love it,
- 1:24:05Speaker 1: I own it, I make it mine. I find my
- 1:24:08Speaker 1: happiness in that fifteen and when I go over there
- 1:24:11Speaker 1: to her eighty five side, if she's happy, do you
- 1:24:17Speaker 1: know that she shares that eighty five with me? So
- 1:24:21Speaker 1: I not only get to keep my fifteen and have
- 1:24:23Speaker 1: that all to myself, my little man cave, or my
- 1:24:26Speaker 1: little golf set up in the corner, or maybe it's
- 1:24:29Speaker 1: just your desk in the corner. Maybe you got your
- 1:24:32Speaker 1: video game set up on a little screen. Whatever it is.
- 1:24:35Speaker 1: You know, you map out a little piece of the
- 1:24:37Speaker 1: world that's just for you, and they keep the kids
- 1:24:39Speaker 1: out of it. Don't go over that. That's your daddy's area.
- 1:24:42Speaker 1: Every man needs that. If you get that little fifteen percent,
- 1:24:45Speaker 1: take that embrace it. Let her have the rest of it, don't.
- 1:24:48Speaker 1: My father told me a long time ago, it's your
- 1:24:50Speaker 1: job to buy the house. It's her job to make
- 1:24:52Speaker 1: it at home. Fellas, listen to me. It's okay to
- 1:24:56Speaker 1: live that way. You take a lot of pride in
- 1:24:58Speaker 1: being a provider. You can take a lot of a
- 1:25:02Speaker 1: lot of pride in being the protector. There's a lot
- 1:25:06Speaker 1: of pride in that. Stop trying to decorate the house
- 1:25:09Speaker 1: and all that. You ain't what you do. Dog really,
- 1:25:13Speaker 1: it's really not never that maybe some guys out there
- 1:25:16Speaker 1: in frigy tality that the majority of us are not
- 1:25:19Speaker 1: let her do it eighty five fifteen. You'll be a
- 1:25:22Speaker 1: lot happier like that. But I'll tell you something, when
- 1:25:25Speaker 1: it's time for them to give, if you've given them
- 1:25:29Speaker 1: eighty five, the return that they give to you for that, brothers,
- 1:25:36Speaker 1: it's immeasurable. Well, Steve, why they get eighty five? Well,
- 1:25:42Speaker 1: let's just talk about this for a second. They can
- 1:25:46Speaker 1: do one thing that you can't do, and that is
- 1:25:50Speaker 1: produce a life. They have produced. Every single life that's
- 1:25:57Speaker 1: on this earth today was out to you by a woman.
- 1:26:02Speaker 1: They ain't a man living that they made one child,
- 1:26:08Speaker 1: ain't incubated one egg. Hayte bought nobody in there. That's
- 1:26:14Speaker 1: a major accomplishment, man, And for that alone, that puts
- 1:26:18Speaker 1: him in a category that we can never ever get in.
- 1:26:21Speaker 1: I don't care how famous you get, how much money
- 1:26:23Speaker 1: you make, but your job, titanly, is how many degrees
- 1:26:26Speaker 1: you got. You can't make a baby. If you could
- 1:26:30Speaker 1: just grab that, fellas and be okay with that, and
- 1:26:32Speaker 1: honor women and put somebody's daughter on a pedestal and
- 1:26:37Speaker 1: treat her like a queen. The return you will get
- 1:26:39Speaker 1: for that is immeasurable, man, it really really is. And
- 1:26:43Speaker 1: you will find that you have a much better life
- 1:26:46Speaker 1: with somebody than by yourself. I found that to be true.
- 1:26:51Speaker 1: I wish everybody could get there, but sometimes to just
- 1:26:55Speaker 1: take a little bit of time. Happy anniversary to me
- 1:26:58Speaker 1: and Marjree and going out tonight, and I ain't gonna
- 1:27:01Speaker 1: be in no shape to be here tomorrow morning, so
- 1:27:03Speaker 1: don't look for me. For all Steve Harvey contests no
