  I'm thinking today of Proverbs 2 .13. Proverbs

  2 .13 says, Who leave the paths of uprightness

  to walk in the ways of darkness. Now this is

  talking about discretion and wisdom and God himself
• 0:14
  will protect us from people who do that. But
• 0:17
  it's interesting just to simply say that there
• 0:19
  are people who do that. That there would be people
• 0:21
  who would leave the paths of uprightness, which
• 0:23
  are protected by God, the good paths, the paths
• 0:27
  of doing the right things. and instead move on
• 0:30
  to the paths of darkness. And darkness always
• 0:31
  means ignorance, and ignorance is not bliss,
• 0:34
  it's foolishness. And so can you imagine that
• 0:38
  there would be those of us who would decide to
• 0:40
  leave the paths of uprightness and instead walk
• 0:43
  in the paths of darkness, which is to say ignorance
• 0:46
  and just being wrong? Well, it has even been
• 0:50
  us, hasn't it, at times? All have sinned and
• 0:53
  fall short of the glory of God. The reality is
• 0:56
  we need to walk the paths of uprightness. We
• 1:00
  need to be the best person we possibly can be
• 1:02
  under the auspices of our God. When Jesus tells
• 1:04
  us to do something, we should do that. When God
• 1:07
  wants us to do something, we should do that.

  God helped us walk the paths of uprightness,
• 1:11
  and his word says he will. Let me encourage you
• 1:15
  a couple of quick things. So first of all, today,

  really, tomorrow morning, because you'll probably

  get this on Friday night, is the Grand Prix Race

  Day at New Heights, starting at noon with free
• 1:28
  lunch for everybody to come. We need some folks
• 1:30
  to come and cheer on the kids as they race the
• 1:32
  cars that they made from scratch. Starting at

  noon at 255 Hefner Street in Toledo, you or anyone

  you'd like to invite can come and join us until

  we fill up the building as we race the cars the
