Latest / The Ben Ferguson Podcast / Venezuelans to get Legal Work Status plus Joe Biden's Problem is NOT His Age
Transcript
- 0:01Speaker 1: Surges at the border the largest we have ever seen.
- 0:06Speaker 1: That is the new reporting coming from Eagle Pass down
- 0:09Speaker 1: in Texas on the border there where now offered nearly
- 0:14Speaker 1: half a million Venezuelan migrants legal status and work permits,
- 0:19Speaker 1: falling demands from strained cities. Yes, the Biden administration handing
- 0:25Speaker 1: out seft amnesty, offering nearly a half a million Venezuelan
- 0:29Speaker 1: migrants in the US the ability to not only live
- 0:33Speaker 1: but also work, take away a job from an American
- 0:35Speaker 1: citizen in this country, legally approving a long standard request
- 0:40Speaker 1: from cities struggling to house asylum seekers. I warned you
- 0:45Speaker 1: that if they could overrun the country with legal immigrants,
- 0:47Speaker 1: this is exactly how they would then try to get
- 0:49Speaker 1: rid of those illegal immigrants by giving them legal status.
- 0:53Speaker 1: That's now what they're doing. The Department of Homeland Security
- 0:56Speaker 1: expanded or redesignated the Temporary Protected Status program for Venezuelan migrants,
- 1:03Speaker 1: allowing recent arrivals to apply for the deportation protections and
- 1:08Speaker 1: work permits offered by the policy. CBS News was the
- 1:13Speaker 1: first to report the move this morning. Previously, only Venezuelans
- 1:18Speaker 1: who arrived in the US before March of twenty twenty
- 1:21Speaker 1: one qualified for the program created by Congress in nineteen
- 1:26Speaker 1: ninety to offer a temporary safe haven to migrants from
- 1:29Speaker 1: countries facing humanitarian crisises such as an armed conflict or
- 1:34Speaker 1: a natural disaster. Now, by redesignating Venezuela's TPS program, the
- 1:43Speaker 1: US under the Biden administration is rendering the record number
- 1:47Speaker 1: of Venezuelans who have reached the US over the past
- 1:49Speaker 1: two years, all of them eligible for this new status.
- 1:53Speaker 1: They estimate there's at least a half a million additional
- 1:56Speaker 1: Venezuelans that are expected to now qualify for or TPS,
- 2:01Speaker 1: which has already allowed a quarter of a million migrants
- 2:06Speaker 1: from the country to obtain the status that according to
- 2:09Speaker 1: the Department of Homeland Security's own internal figures, Venezuelan who
- 2:13Speaker 1: reached the US after the end of July, they say,
- 2:17Speaker 1: will not qualify for TPS. Temporary Protected Status provides individuals
- 2:24Speaker 1: already present in the United States with protection from removal
- 2:29Speaker 1: when the conditions in their home country prevent their safe return.
- 2:34Speaker 1: That is what Majorciss said in a statement put out
- 2:37Speaker 1: last night. This is the situation that Venezuelans who arrived
- 2:41Speaker 1: here or honor before July the thirty first of this year,
- 2:47Speaker 1: quote find themselves in while other legal status will also qualify.
- 2:54Speaker 2: They now claim for TPS.
- 2:55Speaker 1: The announcement will most likely benefit the more than four
- 2:58Speaker 1: hundred thousand that we know of people who have broken
- 3:03Speaker 1: into this country. These Venezuelan migrants who've trekked to the
- 3:08Speaker 1: US southern border over the past two and a half
- 3:10Speaker 1: years as part of a massive exodus from this South
- 3:14Speaker 1: African country. Now in recent years, more than seven million
- 3:20Speaker 1: Venezuelans have fled economic conditions there an authoritarian rule, with
- 3:27Speaker 1: most of them resettling in other South American nations such
- 3:30Speaker 1: as Colombia, making the largest refugee crisis ever recorded in
- 3:35Speaker 1: the Western Hemisphere. Increasingly more Venezuelans have less left Venezuela
- 3:41Speaker 1: or other countries in search for better economic opportunities in
- 3:45Speaker 1: the United States, embarking on a week long journey that
- 3:48Speaker 1: entails crossing Panama and the area there at the foot
- 3:53Speaker 1: the administration's announcement, they say is in them is an
- 3:57Speaker 1: important victory quote for Congressional day democrats and leaders in
- 4:02Speaker 1: large cities like New York for who for months have
- 4:06Speaker 1: been pressuring the federal government to grant migrants in their
- 4:09Speaker 1: community's legal status so that they can work legally and
- 4:12Speaker 1: disappear them from the streets more quickly and not rely
- 4:15Speaker 1: on local service, as they claim. New York City in particular,
- 4:19Speaker 1: has struggled to house tens of thousands of migrants, many
- 4:21Speaker 1: of them from Venezuela, and more than two hundred hotels, shelters,
- 4:25Speaker 1: tent cities, and other facilities, saying, quote, our administration and
- 4:29Speaker 1: our partners across the city have led the calls to
- 4:33Speaker 1: quote unquote let them work. So I want to thank
- 4:36Speaker 1: President Biden for hearing our entire coalition, including our hard
- 4:38Speaker 1: working congressional delegation, and taking the important steps that will
- 4:42Speaker 1: bring people hope and bring hope to the thousands of
- 4:46Speaker 1: Venezuelan and asylum seekers currently in our care who will
- 4:49Speaker 1: now immediately be eligible for temporary protected status. New York
- 4:52Speaker 1: City Mayor Eric Adams said today the Biden administration has
- 4:56Speaker 1: used this status as an unprecedented on an unprecedent and
- 5:00Speaker 1: at scale, making record numbers of migrants from Afghanistan, Cameroon, Ethiopia, Haiti,
- 5:08Speaker 1: mir Mar, Sudan, and Ukraine eligible for this new program.
- 5:14Speaker 1: Another way, in other words, it's a way to just
- 5:16Speaker 1: make people disappear. If you've got a problem, you just
- 5:20Speaker 1: make them disappear. If you want to get rid of them,
- 5:23Speaker 1: you make them disappear. By giving them this status, it
- 5:26Speaker 1: erases them from your book of problems, as it was
- 5:29Speaker 1: described by one Department of Homeland Security secretary. Notice how
- 5:33Speaker 1: they refer to them. This is not what's good for America.
- 5:36Speaker 1: This isn't what's good for you as an American taxpayer.
- 5:38Speaker 1: This also allows them to be eligible for massive amounts
- 5:42Speaker 1: of government federal aid, which again people don't seem to
- 5:46Speaker 1: want to talk about either. So this is now the
- 5:49Speaker 1: real problem. I want to get your phone calls and
- 5:52Speaker 1: your reaction to this. We're now giving away amnesty to
- 5:55Speaker 1: a million people from Venezuela so that we don't have
- 5:59Speaker 1: to deal with the issue you. Hey, it's Ben Ferguson,
- 6:02Speaker 1: and I want to invite you to meet me in
- 6:04Speaker 1: the Holy Land is real. You'll walk in the footsteps
- 6:06Speaker 1: of biblical figures like King David and Jesus Christ, and
- 6:09Speaker 1: you'll do it all together with other listeners from around
- 6:12Speaker 1: the country. I'm going to meet up with you in
- 6:14Speaker 1: Jerusalem and experience with you the city's great site The
- 6:17Speaker 1: trip will take place May the sixth or the fifteenth
- 6:19Speaker 1: of twenty twenty four. Go to Christianexpedition dot com slash
- 6:23Speaker 1: Ben or call eight seven seven two three four three
- 6:27Speaker 1: zero zero two Christian Expedition dot com slash ben. It
- 6:32Speaker 1: looks like the cartels have figured out how to bum
- 6:34Speaker 1: rush the border, knowing that no one will stop them.
- 6:38Speaker 2: I'm Martha. Well, these surging border numbers are really put.
- 6:41Speaker 3: Into context when you think about the fact that New
- 6:42Speaker 3: York City Mayor Eric Adams said his city can't handle
- 6:46Speaker 3: ten thousand migrants per month. Well, they're getting nine thousand
- 6:49Speaker 3: a day down here at the southern border, a lot
- 6:51Speaker 3: of them crossing right here in Eagle Pass. Take a
- 6:53Speaker 3: look at this video our fantastic drone team shot showing
- 6:57Speaker 3: a massive illegal crossing in the river right behind where
- 6:59Speaker 3: I'm still, and you'll see a human chain in the
- 7:02Speaker 3: water as they're trying to get across the river. Very
- 7:05Speaker 3: dangerous spot. A ten year old boy drowned in this
- 7:08Speaker 3: area last week. The port of entry is right next
- 7:11Speaker 3: to these people, just one hundred yards away. They don't
- 7:14Speaker 3: care though, they want to cross illegally because they feel
- 7:17Speaker 3: if they can step foot in the United States. They're
- 7:19Speaker 3: going to be released into the country. You also want
- 7:21Speaker 3: to show you human smuggling pursuit. Take a look at
- 7:24Speaker 3: this video Texas DPS chasing a human smuggler in Kinney
- 7:27Speaker 3: County high speed chase. The driver an illegal immigrant driving
- 7:30Speaker 3: a stolen truck loaded with illegal immigrants. They spike his tires,
- 7:34Speaker 3: he goes off road into the brush, loses control, and
- 7:37Speaker 3: then you'll see on the thermal camera everybody goes bailing
- 7:40Speaker 3: out of that vehicle, running off in all different directions.
- 7:43Speaker 3: Texas DPS arrested the driver and six illegal immigrants. Last
- 7:46Speaker 3: thing to show you down in the Rio Grand Valley
- 7:48Speaker 3: with Texas DPS troopers in the brush as they are
- 7:51Speaker 3: arresting illegal immigrants trying to evade.
- 7:54Speaker 2: Capture from border patrol.
- 7:56Speaker 3: Several of them were wearing cartel wristbands indicating they had
- 7:59Speaker 3: paid a cartel to get across illegally. And back out
- 8:02Speaker 3: here Live Martha concerning Border patrol agents reporting that right
- 8:06Speaker 3: here in Eagle Pass they just arrested an illegal immigrant
- 8:08Speaker 3: with a murder conviction and another illegal immigrant with a
- 8:11Speaker 3: conviction for sexual assault of a child. Send it back
- 8:15Speaker 3: to you.
- 8:16Speaker 1: That's who's getting across the border. That's who they're catching.
- 8:20Speaker 1: Someone that had a murder conviction and another that it
- 8:22Speaker 1: was a sexual assault of a child conviction, now known
- 8:26Speaker 1: god Aways the southern border have now exceeded well over
- 8:29Speaker 1: and this is the god Aways one million under the
- 8:32Speaker 1: Biden administration.
- 8:33Speaker 2: So a million people have invaded this country. A million.
- 8:38Speaker 2: The Border patrol chief at the time.
- 8:42Speaker 1: Down in Yuma, the former man in charge, went on
- 8:47Speaker 1: Fox to explain what this means for this country. I
- 8:50Speaker 1: want you to listen to what he had to say. Again,
- 8:52Speaker 1: this is on Fox saying, you guys think it's a million,
- 8:55Speaker 1: it's probably well over a million and a half that
- 8:57Speaker 1: have invaded.
- 8:59Speaker 4: Human Border Patrol role, Chief Chris, nice to see again,
- 9:01Speaker 4: thank you for your time. Here's our Mayor Ergantia just
- 9:05Speaker 4: a few days ago.
- 9:06Speaker 5: Let me tell you something New York is never in
- 9:10Speaker 5: my life have I had a problem that I did
- 9:13Speaker 5: not see an ending.
- 9:14Speaker 6: Two.
- 9:15Speaker 5: I don't see an ending to this. I don't see
- 9:18Speaker 5: an inding to this. This issue will destroy New York City.
- 9:23Speaker 4: So in return, the Border Patrol Union said this on Sunday, Chris,
- 9:28Speaker 4: note the sanctuary cities, counties, and states, stop your whining.
- 9:32Speaker 4: You declared yourself sanctuaries for illegal aliens while condemning those
- 9:36Speaker 4: who think our laws should be actually be enforced. You
- 9:39Speaker 4: help Biden unleash this historic disaster.
- 9:42Speaker 7: Live with it?
- 9:43Speaker 4: Is that the way it's going to be.
- 9:44Speaker 8: Chris, Well, you know it's unfortunate, but they're spot on
- 9:48Speaker 8: the hearing Mayor Adams talk about no ended this, well,
- 9:51Speaker 8: I have to agree with them. We've been talking about
- 9:53Speaker 8: this for the last few years. I think I mentioned
- 9:56Speaker 8: to you before on a previous show. You know, Adams
- 9:58Speaker 8: had this team come down to you last year and
- 10:00Speaker 8: we spoke and we showed them exactly what was happening.
- 10:03Speaker 8: And you know, it's crazy. This is still continuing at
- 10:06Speaker 8: the level that we're seeing. Look, over seven thousand arrest
- 10:10Speaker 8: a day, over fifty thousand people in custody every twenty
- 10:13Speaker 8: four hours with CDP and ICE. Look, we just had
- 10:15Speaker 8: over eighty thousand people come through Panama in August. This
- 10:19Speaker 8: is continuing, and again I don't see an end in
- 10:22Speaker 8: sight as long as the policies are misdirected and misguided
- 10:26Speaker 8: come out of Washington.
- 10:27Speaker 7: So Chris, in the absence of prevention, right, it's too
- 10:30Speaker 7: late for that. The Mayor is now living with the
- 10:33Speaker 7: consequences of one hundred and thirteen thousand people coming into
- 10:36Speaker 7: the city this year alone. What are his options?
- 10:40Speaker 8: You know, you know that number is seems like it's
- 10:43Speaker 8: strikingly you know, huge, right, But that's what we dealt
- 10:46Speaker 8: with in Youma year one that I was there under
- 10:49Speaker 8: President Biden in twenty twenty one, Yuva doesn't have but
- 10:52Speaker 8: one hundred thousand people in the whole community. What's happening
- 10:55Speaker 8: down there in Texas an eagle pass. But what the
- 10:58Speaker 8: American do is actually can continue to do what he's doing,
- 11:01Speaker 8: but hold the administration accountable, you know, get together with
- 11:04Speaker 8: all the mayors and the state leaders and local leadership
- 11:08Speaker 8: across the country and say, hey, put an end to this,
- 11:10Speaker 8: because look, Americans are suffering. We're already suffering under this
- 11:14Speaker 8: this economy, and now we're continuing to suffer on this
- 11:17Speaker 8: under this border crisis. And something's going to be done.
- 11:19Speaker 8: And it's going to take a collection of people from
- 11:21Speaker 8: both sides of the aisle to really roll up their
- 11:23Speaker 8: sleeves and get this done.
- 11:24Speaker 4: A multiple accountable Chris, I want to give you three
- 11:25Speaker 4: numbers here. Over the weekend twenty two hundred cross in
- 11:28Speaker 4: Eagle Pass, Texas and one day, okay, last week, one
- 11:32Speaker 4: hundred and fifty unaccompanied children every day we're encountered. Last week,
- 11:38Speaker 4: every day one hundred and fifty. We're talking about kids
- 11:40Speaker 4: age sixteen and under. And put this on screen, the
- 11:43Speaker 4: known god aways of the Southwest border under this administration.
- 11:47Speaker 4: Is it one point five million? Chris, that's the first
- 11:51Speaker 4: time I have seen that number, and that is extraordinary
- 11:54Speaker 4: to see.
- 11:55Speaker 8: Yeah, all those numbers should just rattle everybody's cages. I
- 11:58Speaker 8: mean the known got away, and that's what we know.
- 12:01Speaker 8: There's still that unknown factor that we never got to.
- 12:03Speaker 8: When you look at twenty two hundred in one day
- 12:06Speaker 8: in Del Rio, I mean that's crazy. And then these children,
- 12:09Speaker 8: I mean, look, you know we hear time and time
- 12:11Speaker 8: again about the humanitarian crisis. Look, it's living We've been
- 12:15Speaker 8: living this for years now. These are unaccompanied children. This
- 12:18Speaker 8: should just turn everybody's stomach that the administration is not
- 12:21Speaker 8: holding these source countries and allowing that's allowing this to occur.
- 12:25Speaker 8: We've got to do a better job. Americans deserve a
- 12:27Speaker 8: better job, our agents deserve the support, and these migrants
- 12:30Speaker 8: deserve a better pathway to come in legally and not
- 12:33Speaker 8: put their hands in the uh put their lives in
- 12:36Speaker 8: hands and smugglers. No, this is ridiculous.
- 12:38Speaker 4: Maybe may Or Adams is right, he sees no end
- 12:40Speaker 4: in sight? A right, I mean that's what we've seen too.
- 12:43Speaker 7: Jilian border patrol forecasting September could be the highest number
- 12:48Speaker 7: on record in US history. Chris, We've got to leave
- 12:51Speaker 7: it there. Thanks so much, Thank you, Chris.
- 12:53Speaker 1: You noticed there's no one in sight, and Democrats are
- 12:56Speaker 1: now saying there's no end in sight and they don't
- 12:59Speaker 1: want it to stop. The media is having to say
- 13:03Speaker 1: what it is. The media is having to tell you
- 13:04Speaker 1: what it is. The media is having to report on
- 13:06Speaker 1: this because you can't not watch two thousand plus people
- 13:10Speaker 1: come across the border right like that. That's the reality here.
- 13:16Speaker 1: So is it just age or is it in competency?
- 13:21Speaker 1: That is the real question that I want you to
- 13:24Speaker 1: answer right now. Is it just age or is it
- 13:29Speaker 1: in competency. There is an interesting article that's come out
- 13:32Speaker 1: saying that it's the age of Joe Biden that's his
- 13:36Speaker 1: biggest problem right now.
- 13:39Speaker 2: I tend to disagree with that.
- 13:41Speaker 1: I don't think it's his age is as much as
- 13:44Speaker 1: it is his mental capacity.
- 13:47Speaker 2: Democrats are also saying, well, if you're.
- 13:49Speaker 1: Going to say that it's an age issue, okay, then
- 13:54Speaker 1: you're gonna have to say that there's an age issue
- 13:57Speaker 1: for Donald Trump. I'm not obsessed with the age. I
- 14:01Speaker 1: am obsessed with the incompetency. You look at the president.
- 14:07Speaker 1: And this is even yesterday at the United Nations are
- 14:10Speaker 1: now technically two days ago, and Biden kept losing his
- 14:15Speaker 1: train of thought over and over and over and over
- 14:17Speaker 1: and over and over again. It was a real problem.
- 14:21Speaker 1: Biden abruptly walked out of the Metal of Honor ceremony
- 14:23Speaker 1: even before the closing benediction. Clearly he doesn't know what
- 14:27Speaker 1: he's doing. You listen to him at the United Nations
- 14:31Speaker 1: at the General Assembly, and he was talking and no
- 14:34Speaker 1: one knew what he was talking about. I don't think
- 14:36Speaker 1: he did either. How do I know this?
- 14:39Speaker 9: Listen now, reveize you evolve our institutions and drive creative
- 14:44Speaker 9: new partnerships. Let me be clear, certain principles are in
- 14:49Speaker 9: the national system.
- 14:50Speaker 1: Are Sacra saying even when he says, let me be clear,
- 14:53Speaker 1: you don't know what he's saying. Before he says, let
- 14:55Speaker 1: me be clear, Biden was reading his pre written remarks
- 14:58Speaker 1: for the first time at another event, and it was
- 15:01Speaker 1: clear when he was reading those remarks he didn't know
- 15:03Speaker 1: what he was reading. It was obvious he didn't understand
- 15:06Speaker 1: what he was reading. Listen to this. This is from
- 15:08Speaker 1: again yesterday, and.
- 15:12Speaker 9: We are we're also discussing the potential for a new
- 15:16Speaker 9: critical Minerals dialogue to strengthen our energy security and supply
- 15:21Speaker 9: chains for years to come. And third, we're launching a
- 15:25Speaker 9: new initiative on disability rates. And I want to thank
- 15:29Speaker 9: you all for your fruitful conversation today which has already
- 15:32Speaker 9: taken place, and I look forward to working with all
- 15:35Speaker 9: of you to do even more in the future.
- 15:40Speaker 1: Yeah, he doesn't know what he's talking about. That was
- 15:42Speaker 1: the C five plus one luncheon that they were having there.
- 15:46Speaker 1: Then you have a White House that's trying to cover
- 15:48Speaker 1: him for him all the time. Yesterday talking about the
- 15:51Speaker 1: migrant crisis of the border. Martha McCollum talking to John
- 15:55Speaker 1: Kirby basically seems to be the President of United States
- 15:57Speaker 1: of America. At least he's coherent when he talks. Was
- 15:59Speaker 1: asked about what's going on the border.
- 16:00Speaker 10: Listen to this, So why doesn't the President address this.
- 16:03Speaker 10: It's a very urgent need in this country. While he's
- 16:07Speaker 10: talking to the un really missed opportunity today.
- 16:10Speaker 6: No, no, no, I mean he's he's absolutely.
- 16:11Speaker 10: He doesn't talk about it, John, He never.
- 16:13Speaker 6: Talks and has addressed this with those leaders in the region.
- 16:15Speaker 6: And we were just now in Mexico City several months ago.
- 16:18Speaker 6: He has had he's had multiple now two I think,
- 16:21Speaker 6: summits for democracy at each one of them. This issue
- 16:24Speaker 6: comes up at each one of them. He addresses it
- 16:26Speaker 6: with those leaders. I mean that he didn't have a
- 16:29Speaker 6: specific conversation today doesn't mean that he hasn't had in
- 16:31Speaker 6: the past, or that he won't in the future, or
- 16:33Speaker 6: that the Secretary of State isn't also having these discussions.
- 16:36Speaker 6: All these leaders realize, Martha, that it is a regional problem.
- 16:39Speaker 6: It's not just because of one country's politics or one
- 16:42Speaker 6: country's economics. There are just simply more people on the move.
- 16:45Speaker 6: And there's a lot of reasons for that. Famine, drought,
- 16:47Speaker 6: political instability, such as what you see in Venezuela. People
- 16:51Speaker 6: have lots of reasons for being on the movie.
- 16:54Speaker 11: People don't have a silum, they don't have a legitat silent,
- 16:56Speaker 11: which is why he has worked so hard in the
- 16:59Speaker 11: region to up these centers around several countries where people
- 17:02Speaker 11: can apply for legal pathways to come in.
- 17:04Speaker 6: That's why, and that's why we bolstered as much as
- 17:07Speaker 6: we can, we bolstered security at the border to try
- 17:09Speaker 6: to deter illegal immigration.
- 17:13Speaker 2: Illegal immigration, at least he said that word.
- 17:15Speaker 1: Now, John Kirby's not elected by anyone, but he seems
- 17:18Speaker 1: to be pushing right now, pushing in a way that
- 17:21Speaker 1: makes me laugh, right, pushing in a way that that
- 17:25Speaker 1: is just honestly, it's frustrating to me because he's not
- 17:32Speaker 1: elected by anybody, yet he's sitting there saying these things
- 17:36Speaker 1: that are just lies. Now, if he was the president, great,
- 17:39Speaker 1: but you and I both know that the President couldn't
- 17:42Speaker 1: even make the argument that he's making. I'm talking about cognitively.
- 17:46Speaker 1: That's why they have to send out John Kirby. And
- 17:49Speaker 1: and even this was a question that was asked, and again,
- 17:51Speaker 1: I don't think the president can hander this question.
- 17:53Speaker 10: Listen, President Biden did not say a word about our
- 17:56Speaker 10: southern border today. He didn't meet with leaders from next
- 18:00Speaker 10: Co Guatemala. You have nine ten thousand people crossing the
- 18:04Speaker 10: border in unprecedented numbers. How is this something that he
- 18:08Speaker 10: doesn't address when he's in New York City where there's
- 18:10Speaker 10: a crisis unfolding less than a mile away from where
- 18:12Speaker 10: he's speaking.
- 18:13Speaker 6: Well, Martha, he did address the challenge of regional migration
- 18:16Speaker 6: in the speech. He talked about the Los Angeles Declaration
- 18:19Speaker 6: for Migration and for and support for four migrants. He knows,
- 18:24Speaker 6: and he addressed it again in the remarks that this
- 18:26Speaker 6: is a regional thing. You're not wrong. I mean, there
- 18:28Speaker 6: are more people on the move in this hemisphere now
- 18:31Speaker 6: than we've seen since World War Two. And you're absolutely right.
- 18:34Speaker 6: As the weather cools down and conditions get a little
- 18:36Speaker 6: bit better, we.
- 18:37Speaker 10: Are seeing climate numbers for the reason that.
- 18:40Speaker 6: No, no, no, no, I'm talking about just the weather conditions.
- 18:42Speaker 6: As we head into fall, it's just easier to be
- 18:45Speaker 6: on the move.
- 18:46Speaker 10: That's the number now, you're the highest number since May.
- 18:49Speaker 6: We are seeing we are seeing increases, not we're not
- 18:51Speaker 6: pushing back on the fact that the numbers are increasing.
- 18:54Speaker 6: That's why we want Congress to work with us and
- 18:56Speaker 6: pass that supplemental. We asked for four billion dollars to
- 18:59Speaker 6: help us with border security needs.
- 19:01Speaker 1: That I mean he's a liar. But I don't think
- 19:05Speaker 1: the president could do that, right, I don't. I don't
- 19:10Speaker 1: believe that the president could have that conversation that he
- 19:13Speaker 1: just had. And this is the reason why the president
- 19:16Speaker 1: keeps ignoring it.
- 19:16Speaker 2: Now.
- 19:17Speaker 1: I don't think this is an age issue. I think
- 19:19Speaker 1: it's an incompetency issue. You have a present that's clearly incompetent.
- 19:25Speaker 1: That's the problem. Incompetency. Listen to the president again at
- 19:31Speaker 1: the UN what he said, and again, this is another example.
- 19:35Speaker 2: Listen to it.
- 19:36Speaker 9: So one answer that question, we must and we will.
- 19:42Speaker 9: Roade ahead is long and difficult. But if we preserve,
- 19:46Speaker 9: persevere and prevail, if we keep the faith in ourselves
- 19:50Speaker 9: and show what possible.
- 19:52Speaker 1: And show I mean, he doesn't know what he's saying.
- 19:55Speaker 1: The road ahead is long and difficult. But if we preserve, persevere, prevail,
- 20:00Speaker 1: and then you just you know, emphasize one word here
- 20:02Speaker 1: and there. This is the guy that, again five seconds later,
- 20:06Speaker 1: says this sentence and mumbles again, no.
- 20:09Speaker 12: Even has the evolur institutions.
- 20:11Speaker 1: Does anybody know what the hell he just said? Does
- 20:13Speaker 1: anybody have a clue? This is the President of the
- 20:15Speaker 1: United States of America on the world stage. All of
- 20:18Speaker 1: our adversaries are in the world, in the world, or
- 20:21Speaker 1: in the room.
- 20:23Speaker 12: No even has the evolur institutions.
- 20:25Speaker 2: I don't know what the hell he just said. Do
- 20:26Speaker 2: you know what he just said?
- 20:28Speaker 12: No even has the evolur institutions.
- 20:30Speaker 1: Does anybody know what he just said? I don't even
- 20:32Speaker 1: know what words he's trying to say.
- 20:35Speaker 12: No even has the evolur institutions.
- 20:37Speaker 1: I have no idea. Diaz, stop laughing. It's not funny.
- 20:40Speaker 1: That's the president of the United States of America.
- 20:43Speaker 12: No even has the evol institutions.
- 20:45Speaker 1: No one knows what the man's saying. And then the
- 20:49Speaker 1: media's like, well, it's an age thing. Maybe they're they're
- 20:52Speaker 1: fighting over the age. I don't think this is age.
- 20:55Speaker 1: I think this is an issue of incompetency.
- 20:58Speaker 2: That's what I think.
- 20:59Speaker 1: I think this is an ise shoe of incompetency. When
- 21:02Speaker 1: I look at him, I don't see an old man.
- 21:03Speaker 1: I see an incompetent man. There is a difference. I'm
- 21:07Speaker 1: not obsessed with age like other people are obsessed with age.
- 21:11Speaker 2: I'm just not.
- 21:12Speaker 1: The growing number of polls now are showing voters are
- 21:15Speaker 1: concerned about President Biden's age and his energy. Democratic lawmakers
- 21:22Speaker 1: have hesitated to offer full throated endorsements of his running mate.
- 21:26Speaker 1: Prominent commentators have well reminisced now on whether he should
- 21:30Speaker 1: drop out of the presidential race. This series of political vulnerabilities,
- 21:35Speaker 1: along with House Republicans announcing an impeachment inquiry and the
- 21:39Speaker 1: Justice Department in doubting Biden's son on drug charges and
- 21:42Speaker 1: gun charges really just because of the drugs, it's actually
- 21:45Speaker 1: just a gun charge, is now sending waves of anxiety,
- 21:49Speaker 1: they claim through the Democratic Party, as some fred about
- 21:53Speaker 1: whether the man who helped alse Donald Trump from the
- 21:55Speaker 1: White House may not have the vitality at age eighty
- 22:00Speaker 1: to successfully prevent a return. He is in a period
- 22:05Speaker 1: of his life where passing and death is imminent. Sharon Sweep,
- 22:10Speaker 1: the leader of the Democratic Party in Lorraine County in Ohio,
- 22:15Speaker 1: set on the record she said she often hears from
- 22:18Speaker 1: voters worried about the present's potential FRAILTI quote, we are
- 22:24Speaker 1: all on a ticking clock. When you're at his age
- 22:27Speaker 1: or at Trump's age, the clock is ticking faster, and
- 22:31Speaker 1: that is a real concern for voters. Many in the
- 22:35Speaker 1: party are continuing to voice confidence in Biden, and they
- 22:39Speaker 1: note that Trump himself is not much younger at seventy seven.
- 22:43Speaker 1: But Biden's allies are frustrated by the handwringing from an
- 22:46Speaker 1: anxious faction of the Democratic Party, and even as campaign
- 22:51Speaker 1: officials point to the presence record of defying skeptics, they
- 22:55Speaker 1: are strategizing internally about how best to combat and the
- 22:59Speaker 1: un mistakable nervousness Such Washington whispers have become far too
- 23:05Speaker 1: common along the they say among bed wedding Democrats. That's
- 23:11Speaker 1: what Jim Messina, who ran Barack Obama's twenty twelve campaign
- 23:15Speaker 1: and recently put together a twenty four slide deck aiming
- 23:18Speaker 1: to calm the jitters, which he sent to prominent Democratic
- 23:22Speaker 1: office holders.
- 23:24Speaker 2: Quote.
- 23:25Speaker 1: I'm not saying this is going to be easy, and
- 23:28Speaker 1: he's fine, Messinas said in the interview. Look, America is
- 23:32Speaker 1: split right down the middle. Both parties are going to
- 23:34Speaker 1: get forty six percent of the vote, and we're fighting
- 23:37Speaker 1: over the rest. But he said Biden is much stronger,
- 23:40Speaker 1: in a much stronger position than Trump, and encouraged Democrats
- 23:44Speaker 1: to stop their public and private i agonizing. He said,
- 23:48Speaker 1: one Center text him immediately after receiving his presentation which
- 23:51Speaker 1: included details on biden string of early endorsements from key groups,
- 23:55Speaker 1: the impact of cooling inflation, and the popularity of many
- 23:59Speaker 1: of the presents achievements. He said, I'm going to stop
- 24:03Speaker 1: bedwetting now, the Senator wrote. But interviews with more than
- 24:07Speaker 1: thirty lawmakers, strategists, activists, and other Democrats show that the
- 24:12Speaker 1: uncertainty persists. Many Democrats expressed dead fast support for the
- 24:16Speaker 1: present's running for a second term, and no major figure
- 24:20Speaker 1: has risen to challenge him in a primary. Several party
- 24:24Speaker 1: leaders predicted that even voters who voice ambivalence about Biden
- 24:29Speaker 1: will ultimately be animated to vote against the Republican choice,
- 24:34Speaker 1: especially at that choice as Donald Trump, But few offered
- 24:38Speaker 1: confident assessments that Biden's stubbornly low approval rating would rebound
- 24:43Speaker 1: before next year, and many are concerned that one of
- 24:46Speaker 1: the president's most significant challenges is one he has no
- 24:49Speaker 1: control over his age. Supporters and critics alike suggest that
- 24:55Speaker 1: Biden's prospects may hinge on whether he can find a
- 24:58Speaker 1: way to overcome a persistent and growing feeling in the
- 25:01Speaker 1: electorate that his advanced age is his defining characteristic. By
- 25:05Speaker 1: the way, I don't think it's his age. I think
- 25:07Speaker 1: it's his incompetency. That's the difference here. I think this
- 25:11Speaker 1: is not an age question. I don't think people give
- 25:13Speaker 1: a crap about Donald Trump's age, for example, and I
- 25:16Speaker 1: don't think people gave a crap about Ronald Reagan's age
- 25:19Speaker 1: for example. What I do think they care about is
- 25:22Speaker 1: the incompetency that it shows that they're showing right like that.
- 25:27Speaker 1: That's to me what this is actually about. It's the
- 25:30Speaker 1: fact that he looks like he's incompetent. At the United Nations.
- 25:34Speaker 1: He was mumbling multiple times over. Let me say that again.
- 25:39Speaker 1: He was mumbling as he was trying to make points
- 25:43Speaker 1: to the world, and people see that. People see it
- 25:46Speaker 1: in the Democratic Party, they're concerned over it. They should
- 25:51Speaker 1: be concerned over it as well. And when you look
- 25:55Speaker 1: at that, it's not about his age, it's about the competency.
- 26:00Speaker 1: And Cana President of the United States of America go
- 26:03Speaker 1: on stage time and time again, Babba like a moron,
- 26:07Speaker 1: clearly loses train of thought, and then you think, Yep,
- 26:10Speaker 1: that guy should be president.
- 26:12Speaker 2: I think the answer is pretty clear. No.
- 26:15Speaker 1: Now Democrats are having these conversations internally at the highest levels.
- 26:20Speaker 1: So my question for you is how concerned are you
- 26:24Speaker 1: about the president's incompetency and his age. Make sure you
- 26:30Speaker 1: share this with your family and your friends or podcasts.
- 26:33Speaker 2: Please write us a five story view.
- 26:34Speaker 1: It helps us reach more people, and we'll see you
- 26:37Speaker 1: back here tomorrow
