- 0:19Each day, it will be a different chapter, total to 10 chapters.
- 0:25So let's dive in.
- 0:27And welcome to the healing mind that
- 0:31is our concept for today our topic our episode we are going to talk about the
- 0:41title is called the healing mind but chapter one is awakening the mind renewing your thoughts, okay?
- 0:50A space where your thoughts meet, renew your heart, finds understanding,
- 0:58and your spirit learns to rest.
- 1:01I'm going to be your guide and together we will explore how to awaken in the
- 1:06power of your mind through awareness, reflection, and intentional living.
- 1:12Every healing journey begins here, in the mind, not in our circumstances,
- 1:19not in other people, but in how we think, interpret, and respond to the world around us.
- 1:27Your mind is like a soil whatever seeds you plant that's what is going to grow
- 1:34when we fill our thoughts with fear comparison or doubt we cultivate anxiety
- 1:42and discouragement but when we plant gratitude,
- 1:46faith, and truth begins to rise as peace will begin to rise, right?
- 1:56Many of us underestimate just how powerful a single thought can be.
- 2:02It can lift us up toward hope or drag us into despair.
- 2:07It can help us forgive or keep us stuck in resentment.
- 2:13Think about this. Every behavior you repeat began as a single thought that was
- 2:20either nurtured or ignored.
- 2:25That's why the Bible tells us in Romans 12, verses 2, Be transformed by renewing of your mind.
- 2:33Transformation doesn't begin with our actions. It starts with how we think.
- 2:40Let's pause for a moment, take a deep breath.
- 2:44Now, ask yourself this question.
- 2:48What kind of thoughts have been shaping my days lately? Are they helping me
- 2:54heal or holding me hostage?
- 2:57Awareness is the first step to renewal. In mental health, there's a concept
- 3:04called cognitive patterns, the habitual ways we think about ourselves and others.
- 3:12When left unchecked, they become filters that distorted our reality.
- 3:18Now, take this for an example.
- 3:22You might interpret rejection as proof that you are not good enough.
- 3:26You might believe one failure means you are destined to fail again.
- 3:30You might replay hurtful memories, reinforcing your pain instead of learning from it.
- 3:38These patterns become mental ruts.
- 3:41Like groves in the road that keep you traveling the same path over and over again.
- 3:49But here's the good news.
- 3:52You can rewire your thinking.
- 3:55Neuroscience calls this neuroplasticity.
- 4:01Your brain's ability to form new connections and habits.
- 4:07Faith calls it renewal. Both agreed. Change is possible.
- 4:14So start by becoming aware of your self-talk. Catch those small,
- 4:19silent sentences you tell yourself.
- 4:22I can't. I'm not ready. I'm never good enough or I'll never get through it.
- 4:29When you catch them, don't judge yourself.
- 4:33Simply say, that's an old pattern. I'm choosing new thoughts now.
- 4:41Renewal isn't passive. It's a daily practice.
- 4:47I will give you some examples, some steps you can take this week to awaken your mind.
- 4:54Number one, observe your inner dialogue.
- 4:59Throughout your day, pause and ask, What am I thinking right now?
- 5:04Notice if your thoughts are rooted in fear or faith.
- 5:09Awareness leads to clarity. Number two, reframe negativity.
- 5:16When a thought feels heavy, challenge
- 5:18it. Ask yourself, is this thought absolutely true or just familiar?
- 5:25Often, our mind repeats what it knows, not what's real.
- 5:31Number three, replace with intention.
- 5:34Write down affirmations or scriptures that speak truth to your situation.
- 5:40For example, I am learning to trust the process.
- 5:45Peace flows through me. My thoughts are aligned with clarity and hope.
- 5:50Read them aloud each morning. Let your voice reprogram your belief system.
- 5:59There's a short story I want to tell you guys. The title is The Window Cleaner. Okay?
- 6:05There was once a woman who sat by her window every morning sipping her tea.
- 6:12She often criticized her neighbor saying her windows are always dirty.
- 6:18One day, her friend visited and quietly wiped her own window clean.
- 6:25The next morning, she grasps, her neighbor's windows were shining bright.
- 6:32It wasn't the neighbor's glass that was dirty, it was her own.
- 6:37That's what happens when our minds are clouded by judgment, fear, or pain.
- 6:43We see the world through our unclean lenses.
- 6:48Renewal means cleaning the window of our perception, so we can see the truth, not distortion.
- 6:55Faith is not a denial of mental health struggles. It's an anchor in the middle of them.
- 7:03You can have strong faith and still experience anxiety, doubt, or sadness.
- 7:08Renewal doesn't mean pretending everything is okay.
- 7:12It means inviting light into the dark spaces.
- 7:17Prayer, journaling, and mindfulness all serve one purpose, to bring awareness
- 7:23and alignment back to the present moment.
- 7:26That's where healing happens.
- 7:29So whether you call it meditation, reflection, or quiet time,
- 7:34let it be your mental reset button each day.
- 7:38Let's take another deep breath together.
- 7:43Inhale calm, exhale tension. Repeat this affirmation.
- 7:49Today I chose to renew my thoughts. My mind is clear, my heart is steady,
- 7:55and peace lives within me.
- 7:57You are not your past thoughts. You are the gardener who decides what grows next.
- 8:05Thank you for joining me in the Healing Mind, Chapter 1, Awakening the Mind.
- 8:10In the next chapter, we will explore how emotions shape our reality and how
- 8:17to reclaim peace when life feels chaotic.
- 8:20Until then, nurture your thoughts, speak life into your day,
- 8:25and remember, healing begins with awareness.
- 8:29Thank you again and God bless.
