- 2:05Speaker 1: are listening to the voice, come on dig me now,
- 2:08Speaker 1: one and only. Steve Harvey got a radio show. Uh huh.
- 2:13Speaker 1: Steve Harvey got a radio show. Yeah. Man, oh boh
- 2:17Speaker 1: boah boy man. God has been good to me. I
- 2:21Speaker 1: can't even I can't even put it into words, man,
- 2:26Speaker 1: but I try, though, I try, try try. God does
- 2:30Speaker 1: things for me just right on time. He's so cool
- 2:33Speaker 1: with it. And I happened to run across Joel Oldstein
- 2:38Speaker 1: on television like I often do all the time, and
- 2:44Speaker 1: I was sitting there and he had such a timely
- 2:48Speaker 1: message for me. A part of it was something that
- 2:50Speaker 1: I've said oftentimes about if you really really want to
- 2:57Speaker 1: be successful, if you really really want to change, if
- 3:01Speaker 1: you really really want to prosper, if you really really
- 3:04Speaker 1: want to achieve greatness, if you really really want to
- 3:07Speaker 1: have something in life that's worth having, if you really
- 3:10Speaker 1: really want to accomplish your goals, you got to push
- 3:13Speaker 1: through all of it. He said that when you get
- 3:18Speaker 1: closer to it, the more difficult it becomes. Did you
- 3:24Speaker 1: hear me? He said, the closer you get to what
- 3:28Speaker 1: it is you want or you need, or you have
- 3:30Speaker 1: to have or you would love to be, it gets
- 3:35Speaker 1: a little bit more difficult when you get closer. He
- 3:39Speaker 1: told this story that's in the Bible that I've never
- 3:44Speaker 1: heard before. This is what he said. He said that
- 3:48Speaker 1: was a man who was paralyzed, and he had heard
- 3:55Speaker 1: that Jesus was speaking at a house, and so he
- 4:00Speaker 1: wanted to get there. So he convinced four of his
- 4:04Speaker 1: friends to put him on a stretcher and carry him
- 4:10Speaker 1: for hours to get to this house where Jesus was speaking.
- 4:16Speaker 1: He said that along the way, these friends said that
- 4:24Speaker 1: they went along because he had so much faith that
- 4:27Speaker 1: if he could just get to him, it could be
- 4:30Speaker 1: better that he could if he could just get over
- 4:33Speaker 1: there end he could see him, that he might have
- 4:35Speaker 1: a shot at getting held. And so he said, they
- 4:38Speaker 1: took out along the way and they walked and they
- 4:41Speaker 1: walked and they walked for hours. And then when they
- 4:45Speaker 1: got there, the house was completely filled with people. That
- 4:49Speaker 1: was absolutely it was packed wall to wall. There was
- 4:53Speaker 1: absolutely no way for the men to get him on
- 4:56Speaker 1: that stretcher end to see Jesus. This is a story
- 5:00Speaker 1: that Joel Osteen said is in the Bible, and he
- 5:03Speaker 1: was telling it now. I'm just repeating the parts of it.
- 5:07Speaker 1: I got gathered and so he said. They were sat
- 5:10Speaker 1: there and they went, wow, man, we walked all this
- 5:13Speaker 1: weight and it's four and and and and and and
- 5:16Speaker 1: and we can't get there, he said. And then the
- 5:20Speaker 1: guy with the affliction told the four men, if you
- 5:26Speaker 1: get up on the roof and cut a hole in
- 5:29Speaker 1: it and lower me down, I bet I could see
- 5:34Speaker 1: him men, and I better to be all right now.
- 5:38Speaker 1: He then said, you must imagine how these four men
- 5:42Speaker 1: must have felt when you carry somebody for hours on
- 5:46Speaker 1: on on on on on the way. They had to
- 5:49Speaker 1: carry some cloth connected by a couple of sticks, said
- 5:52Speaker 1: the men. Shoulders had to be bruised, had to have
- 5:55Speaker 1: deep gouges in them, not cuts, but just indentations were
- 6:00Speaker 1: had carried the weight of this grown man for so
- 6:02Speaker 1: many hours, and they looked at him in disbelief, like, man,
- 6:05Speaker 1: what are you talking about. We didn't walked all this far.
- 6:08Speaker 1: He said, yeah, but if you get up on that
- 6:10Speaker 1: roof and you cut a hole in it and lower
- 6:13Speaker 1: me down, I can see him and when he see me,
- 6:17Speaker 1: it'll be all right. After sitting there and imploring the men,
- 6:23Speaker 1: they went up and did just that, and then and
- 6:27Speaker 1: then the story that Joel Osteen said, the man was healed.
- 6:31Speaker 1: But the point he was making was he was saying
- 6:34Speaker 1: that the closer you get to what it is you
- 6:38Speaker 1: really want, the more difficult it's going to become. But
- 6:42Speaker 1: you've got to push through. See, if you don't push through,
- 6:45Speaker 1: you never know, so you can't get right to the answer.
- 6:49Speaker 1: And because it gets really difficult, started creating those little
- 6:52Speaker 1: saying that we got his people. Um, well, I guess
- 6:56Speaker 1: it wasn't meant to be. I guess it wasn't a
- 7:00Speaker 1: or its will Now, man, I guess you should not
- 7:03Speaker 1: give up right now. I guess you should keep pressing.
- 7:06Speaker 1: I guess you should do more, because see, in all
- 7:09Speaker 1: of us, in all of us, when you've had enough,
- 7:12Speaker 1: I want you to know something you do have a
- 7:15Speaker 1: little bit more in all of us. You can do
- 7:19Speaker 1: one more you know. That's one of my favorite things
- 7:22Speaker 1: that I heard Joel Oldstein said, and it kind of
- 7:24Speaker 1: made me feel good. He said, I always feel like
- 7:28Speaker 1: I can do one more anything, And I tell my
- 7:31Speaker 1: friends all the time, I can do one more man.
- 7:35Speaker 1: I could do one more day. I can do one
- 7:38Speaker 1: more anything. Now Here was the jewel that I never
- 7:43Speaker 1: really knew that Joel Oldstein and God sent to me
- 7:49Speaker 1: I needed to hear. He said that no matter what
- 7:54Speaker 1: you're going through, no matter how long the challenge is
- 7:57Speaker 1: you've been facing, God has an end date for it all.
- 8:03Speaker 1: Did you hear me? No matter what you're going through,
- 8:06Speaker 1: no matter what challenge you're facing, no matter what situation
- 8:09Speaker 1: you've gotten yourself into, God has an ending date. All
- 8:14Speaker 1: you got to do is keep pressing forward. All you
- 8:18Speaker 1: got to do is hanging now. All you got to
- 8:21Speaker 1: do is don't give up. All you have to do
- 8:24Speaker 1: is don't turn back. That is an end date for
- 8:28Speaker 1: all of it, even when you think you've had enough.
- 8:35Speaker 1: And boy, have I had this conversation with God on
- 8:40Speaker 1: several things that I've been going through and I'm going
- 8:42Speaker 1: I've even told him, Look, I got it, man, He said,
- 8:47Speaker 1: just keep hanging on. There is an end date to
- 8:51Speaker 1: whatever it is you're going through. There's an end date
- 8:54Speaker 1: to your illness, your sickness, yo, tired of being tired.
- 8:59Speaker 1: There's an end date to this relationship that you can't
- 9:04Speaker 1: seem to get through. Beyond over that's that's like a
- 9:11Speaker 1: cancer to you. There's an end date. But you've got
- 9:16Speaker 1: to hang in there. You've got to keep pushing forward.
- 9:19Speaker 1: You cannot turn around. You must not go back, because
- 9:24Speaker 1: when God gets you through this and you break through
- 9:28Speaker 1: to the other side, the reward and the benefit is
- 9:33Speaker 1: far greater than the struggle. I oftentimes look at some
- 9:39Speaker 1: of the things that God has brought me through in
- 9:42Speaker 1: my worst times, and when he brought me through, I went, wow, man,
- 9:47Speaker 1: now that I understand that, Now that I'm on the
- 9:49Speaker 1: other side and I have the benefit of the reward
- 9:52Speaker 1: for it, would you do it all again to get there? Yes?
- 9:55Speaker 1: I would. You're listening to ladies and gentlemen, prepare yourself
- 10:03Speaker 1: for the opening of the Steve Harvey Morning Show today.
- 10:06Speaker 1: It has been decided that the show will begin this

- 12:07Speaker 1: Swiss Beats called me yesterday after the radio show. He said, Keen,
- 12:15Speaker 1: fifty people call me. They're sending me a clip. Have
- 12:19Speaker 1: you seen Steve Harvey's tripping on this versus? He said, King,
- 12:26Speaker 1: you got to be a part of this. Yes, I said,
- 12:29Speaker 1: I don't know, Swiss. I gotta find out where it's
- 12:32Speaker 1: gonna be. He said, la. I said, I'm supposed to
- 12:34Speaker 1: be somewhere else. I said, give me a couple of days. Man,
- 12:39Speaker 1: think about it. So you're gonna redo your schedule for
- 12:47Speaker 1: them too? Yeah? Almost? Hey, log got that. What do
- 12:51Speaker 1: the hosts do? Um? They don't really have kind of
- 13:00Speaker 1: lost themselves, you know, Oh hell to bring him out?
- 13:06Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, they can't do that day still and me
- 13:09Speaker 1: the one of them great host. Yeah, I have a
- 13:15Speaker 1: feeling this is going to be the longest versus battle.
- 13:20Speaker 1: I don't know. One time is start. We got at
- 13:24Speaker 1: least ten hours a hit. That's a marathon. Will you
- 13:29Speaker 1: make it to work the next day? The question? All right,
- 13:36Speaker 1: here we go coming up at thirty two minutes after
- 13:38Speaker 1: the hour, asked the CLO with the Chief Love Officer
- 13:41Speaker 1: Steve Harvey. Right after this, you're listening to the Steven
- 13:46Speaker 1: Show all right? Time now for ask the CLO. Um.
- 13:50Speaker 1: I don't even have to ask him if he's ready,
- 13:52Speaker 1: because I know he is already. This one is from
- 13:54Speaker 1: Dushaun and Shreveport. Dashawan says my thirty year old daughter Sean.
- 13:59Speaker 1: Who up? Okay, I'm just asking who? All right? Yeah,
- 14:10Speaker 1: my thirty year old daughter is having a son by
- 14:13Speaker 1: my best friend. That's my age. My best friend was
- 14:16Speaker 1: at the gender revealed party, so I asked him why
- 14:19Speaker 1: was he there? That's when he told me it's his baby.
- 14:22Speaker 1: I left and I have not spoken to my daughter
- 14:25Speaker 1: at all since that day. My brother said, I can't
- 14:29Speaker 1: be too upset because my daughter has grown, but I
- 14:31Speaker 1: have every right to be upset at my friend. A
- 14:34Speaker 1: few days ago, my friend told me he wants to
- 14:36Speaker 1: marry my child. So how do I deal with all
- 14:39Speaker 1: of this? Should I be supportive? Well? She thirty? I'm
- 14:47Speaker 1: assuming your friend fifty. I'm gonna just go with that
- 14:51Speaker 1: minimum fifty. Let's just say he fifty, he had the
- 14:55Speaker 1: gender reveal, is his baby he won't to marry. The
- 14:59Speaker 1: thing is is if your daughter wants to now thirty
- 15:02Speaker 1: is up there? Yeah, so ain't like she a little
- 15:05Speaker 1: bitty girl. So you know it's up to them, you know.
- 15:09Speaker 1: And I understand you're being upset. I get it, Lord knows,
- 15:12Speaker 1: I get it. But it's their decisions, and once they've grown,
- 15:15Speaker 1: they get to make their own decisions. Ain't nonna need
- 15:18Speaker 1: to you not speaking to hun stepping out your daughter's
- 15:21Speaker 1: life over that? For why steal your daughter? Child and child? Okay? Yeah,
- 15:27Speaker 1: but how long you've been looking at my daughter? Though? Look?
- 15:31Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying she's pregnant. Yeah, I got
- 15:33Speaker 1: that time. I got where you at because you got
- 15:36Speaker 1: two young daughters, So I got it. Man, one keep
- 15:39Speaker 1: that attitude. You got one. That's right sitting. You got one.
- 15:42Speaker 1: But just keep that attitude because you're gonna need it.
- 15:47Speaker 1: Say that attitude. How to keep that attitude? Right that, Tommy,
- 15:50Speaker 1: because you call that big right down all right. Carter
- 15:55Speaker 1: in New Jersey says, I'm a twenty nine year old
- 15:58Speaker 1: single man and I live in the home up in.
- 16:00Speaker 1: My dad just got divorced and he has asked me
- 16:04Speaker 1: to move back in. I fixed the house up and
- 16:07Speaker 1: replaced all of the furniture, and having my dad back
- 16:10Speaker 1: in the house will cramp my style. My dad often
- 16:14Speaker 1: reminds me that he paid off the house so I
- 16:16Speaker 1: could live there and save money. How do I tell
- 16:19Speaker 1: my dad he's not welcome? Whoa, well, wait a minute,
- 16:23Speaker 1: don't hold on. Your father gave you the house and
- 16:30Speaker 1: now you're telling him he can't move back in. And
- 16:34Speaker 1: he told you he paid it off so you can
- 16:37Speaker 1: have a house, so he could save money. Yeah, ungrateful,
- 16:44Speaker 1: little cramp his style. The twenty nine year old son,
- 16:47Speaker 1: well twenty nine year old when you were saving your money.
- 16:51Speaker 1: Where were you saving your money? Fall? See, your father
- 16:55Speaker 1: worked his whole life and paid off of you twenty nine.
- 16:58Speaker 1: He didn't have a fifteen or thirty year mortgage, so
- 17:01Speaker 1: he'd been paying on that house for you was born.
- 17:04Speaker 1: Probably if it's a thirty year mortgage, in fifteen year
- 17:06Speaker 1: mortgage half your life, he didn't paid the house off.
- 17:10Speaker 1: I think the honorable thing for you to do is
- 17:12Speaker 1: you didn't put new furniture, and to take your new
- 17:14Speaker 1: ass furniture and get yourself a new ass apartment and
- 17:17Speaker 1: let your daddy move back in the house that he
- 17:19Speaker 1: spent his whole life working for, and you start working
- 17:22Speaker 1: and buy your own damn house. You're ungrateful ass. He
- 17:27Speaker 1: cramped my style style. Do you know what, Manytimes? You
- 17:32Speaker 1: cramped your daddy's style and your mama's style. Ain't trying
- 17:35Speaker 1: to have some quiet moments. You're in that crime puck
- 17:38Speaker 1: ass in your room. You're gonna mess around it. Your
- 17:42Speaker 1: daddy gonna talk to you like Kirk Franklin, keep on,
- 17:45Speaker 1: but but he's not welcome. That's so harsh for your father.
- 17:50Speaker 1: That's so harsh. Brother. You forgot what all he did
- 17:54Speaker 1: for you. Now he down on his look divorce, probably
- 17:57Speaker 1: lost everything, and now you ain't got no heart for
- 18:01Speaker 1: your father. Man, get out of here, miss, get your
- 18:05Speaker 1: new stuff and kiss my old all right, we're moving on.
- 18:11Speaker 1: Tony in Colorado, Spring says. I just turned thirty and
- 18:14Speaker 1: the lady I've been dating is twenty two years older
- 18:18Speaker 1: than I am. I'm a flight attendant and she travels
- 18:21Speaker 1: a lot, so I'm able to meet her on trips
- 18:23Speaker 1: when I'm not working. But it's getting old and I
- 18:26Speaker 1: want more of a commitment. We've never been to each
- 18:29Speaker 1: other's houses, so I'm starting to think she's hiding a
- 18:32Speaker 1: husband or another man from me. We've been together for
- 18:35Speaker 1: close to six months, so shouldn't I know more about
- 18:38Speaker 1: her personal life? Yeah, but you don't. And like you said,
- 18:42Speaker 1: what'd that tell you? Now you had your little rolicating
- 18:45Speaker 1: fun you to fell in love? She ain't now which
- 18:48Speaker 1: one is the flight attendant thirty year old man somewhere
- 18:53Speaker 1: just go you ain't in love like her? Well, she
- 18:59Speaker 1: don't like you, that munch. That's what was that movie
- 19:03Speaker 1: with George Clooney? Up in the air? No, thank you, Steve,
- 19:13Speaker 1: but no it was up in the air. Yeah, this
- 19:15Speaker 1: similar situation happened in that movie Tried, he showed up,
- 19:21Speaker 1: he showed up in her house, Thomas married, got it
- 19:28Speaker 1: up in the air. Cloy. Yeah, this one's from Kenneth
- 19:34Speaker 1: in Oklahoma It wasn't it was. The George Clooney movie
- 19:40Speaker 1: was basically the same scenario, except for the age difference.
- 19:44Speaker 1: Kenneth in Oklahoma City clo says, I'm forty seven, just
- 19:47Speaker 1: got divorced, and I'm trying to date. But the last
- 19:49Speaker 1: lady I met was not honest about having a man.
- 19:52Speaker 1: Her man called me and told me not to call
- 19:54Speaker 1: her anymore. So I apologized and said, okay. I called
- 19:58Speaker 1: the lady and told her that she should have been
- 20:00Speaker 1: honest because I don't need any problems. Well, she had
- 20:02Speaker 1: me on speaker phone, and her man heard me. He
- 20:05Speaker 1: told me that I've been warned and now he's looking
- 20:07Speaker 1: for me to be honest. I'm a little afraid. What
- 20:09Speaker 1: should I tell about this crazy situation? You should be
- 20:12Speaker 1: your punk ass probably gonna had to get out of town.
- 20:18Speaker 1: The first thing you need to do is buy yourself
- 20:20Speaker 1: a burn a phone, and your little sists ass need
- 20:23Speaker 1: to start thinking about moving out of town because you
- 20:26Speaker 1: scared it to him, buddy, he told you not to
- 20:29Speaker 1: call you. Stupid ass call she had you on speaker yours. Sorry,
- 20:34Speaker 1: an little scary ass got to get out of town.
- 20:37Speaker 1: That's all you got by you. Coming up next, nephew,

- 23:00Speaker 1: effect as of tomorrow morning seven o'clock. What does hair
- 23:03Speaker 1: weave to have to do with any of these changes?
- 23:05Speaker 1: The first two I can understand punching in and being
- 23:08Speaker 1: on the internet. Yes, that's something that the corporate But
- 23:12Speaker 1: hair weaves and weeks you're getting interchanging ups are they're
- 23:17Speaker 1: looking down upon it. Wigs and hair weaves they have
- 23:21Speaker 1: to go. So I'm assuming that if you, like you said,
- 23:25Speaker 1: you do have one, it doesn't come out of there
- 23:29Speaker 1: taking it down now and prepare your hair to be
- 23:32Speaker 1: natural as you come in to work tomorrow. I'm not
- 23:34Speaker 1: taking my hair down. I've been here seven years and
- 23:36Speaker 1: I've dealt with all the changes that y'all have made.
- 23:39Speaker 1: But there's no way that I'm taking my hair weave down.
- 23:42Speaker 1: I'm sorry. What's your name, Byron? Yes, my name is Byron,
- 23:45Speaker 1: and I'm sorry. Let's get back to your weed. This
- 23:49Speaker 1: has You're gonna have to do something. Is there's someone
- 23:51Speaker 1: that you can call tonight to help you get your
- 23:54Speaker 1: hair down and so you can look presentable with your
- 23:56Speaker 1: natural hair tomorrow. No, my weave calls over two two
- 24:00Speaker 1: hundred dollars and I'm not about to take that down.
- 24:03Speaker 1: I mean, it takes a long time to take that down. Okay,
- 24:07Speaker 1: I mean, is this something Maybe you can take it
- 24:10Speaker 1: down and just wear it on the weekends because as
- 24:12Speaker 1: of now, you're not going to be allowed to actually
- 24:14Speaker 1: wear it on the property. And how will you know
- 24:17Speaker 1: if someone has a weave or not? Are you gonna
- 24:19Speaker 1: do head checks or something? Okay, ma'am, I'm not quite
- 24:23Speaker 1: sure what they're gonna do to check it. But by
- 24:25Speaker 1: you telling me that you have a weave, then I
- 24:29Speaker 1: have to write it down that you have confirmed that
- 24:32Speaker 1: you do, and we got to make sure that tomorrow
- 24:34Speaker 1: morning you're not wearing one. But you don't know what
- 24:36Speaker 1: my natural hair looks like from my weave? Are you
- 24:40Speaker 1: heard how much I pay for it? So it's a
- 24:42Speaker 1: good weave, ma'am. It's not about how good you know
- 24:46Speaker 1: the quality of your weaver or anything. They don't want it.
- 24:48Speaker 1: They want natural hair. I don't know what that means.
- 24:51Speaker 1: But they're going natural, they're going green, they're going natural.
- 24:54Speaker 1: I don't know what it is. They're going natural, and
- 24:56Speaker 1: so will you tomorrow morning. You need to come in
- 24:59Speaker 1: with your hair completely down. Okay, I'm gonna do it.
- 25:02Speaker 1: I'm not taking my weave now. Okay, what is that
- 25:05Speaker 1: y'all gonna write me up or something? Okay, ma'am. Do
- 25:07Speaker 1: you not want your job? Yeah? I want my job,
- 25:10Speaker 1: but this don't make no sense. You're talking about personal appearance.
- 25:13Speaker 1: I can understand y'all have a dress coach and enforcing
- 25:16Speaker 1: a dress code. That's one thing. But telling somebody to
- 25:20Speaker 1: change that had you a lot your line. Man, you're crazy, ma'am.
- 25:24Speaker 1: I'm not gonna I have other people that I have
- 25:26Speaker 1: to call. Bottom line is, get your hat out and
- 25:29Speaker 1: get your butt into work tomorrow, and let's not go
- 25:31Speaker 1: back and forth anymore. Okay, Well, listen, buy ranch. You're
- 25:35Speaker 1: a low mind. If you're thinking I'm taking my weave out,
- 25:38Speaker 1: I'm not taking out at all. Risa is coming up
- 25:42Speaker 1: in there with her hair and I'm gonna sit down
- 25:45Speaker 1: in my desk and do my job. Y'all gonna have
- 25:47Speaker 1: to drag me out that handsome weave. You gonna lost
- 25:50Speaker 1: your mind, You and your powers that be or whoever
- 25:53Speaker 1: they may be. You tell them that I said that. Women.
- 25:56Speaker 1: Women listen. Are you telling me that you're coming in
- 25:59Speaker 1: regardless with your hair on? Right? That's what I just said. Okay,
- 26:04Speaker 1: are you then? Then we need to Why don't you
- 26:07Speaker 1: go ahead and bring some boxes in because you may
- 26:11Speaker 1: I'm not you bring it, man, I don't want to
- 26:14Speaker 1: have to pack. You get your stuff and box it up,
- 26:16Speaker 1: and you're losing your job because you can't take it.
- 26:18Speaker 1: You know what? You can do that because I'm a
- 26:20Speaker 1: caller the news station and tell them you're dragging me
- 26:22Speaker 1: out of go behind some weeds? Who wrong? You're wrong,
- 26:26Speaker 1: You're wrong, You're stupid? Behind? Are you gonna? You need
- 26:30Speaker 1: to watch your language, young lady? Why I need to
- 26:32Speaker 1: watch my language? I'm at home. You call me on
- 26:34Speaker 1: my own home phone and my time. I'm at my house.
- 26:38Speaker 1: I'm not on your flock. I say what I want
- 26:40Speaker 1: to say on my phone. Okay? Can I say what
- 26:42Speaker 1: I want on my phone and then I'll let you
- 26:44Speaker 1: go and you can come into to work anywhere you
- 26:46Speaker 1: want to tomorrow. What is it, Bob? And what else
- 26:48Speaker 1: you got to say? I want to I want to
- 26:51Speaker 1: tell you that your girlfriend Jennifer at your job got
- 26:55Speaker 1: me to plank phone call you. This is nephew Tommy
- 26:58Speaker 1: from the Steve Harby on his show. He just said,
- 27:06Speaker 1: I know you. Hey, reason this is this is not
- 27:10Speaker 1: your Jimmy Baby from the Steve Harby Morning. Your gentifer,
- 27:13Speaker 1: your co worker, got me the prank phone call. You
- 27:16Speaker 1: got my blood pressure up. I'm gonna kill it tomorrow
- 27:19Speaker 1: and I'm gonna pull a whole weave out. You want
- 27:21Speaker 1: to come down there and watch me drink out of
- 27:23Speaker 1: the job. My man, blood pressure. You can't be doing
- 27:28Speaker 1: that to me behind my weave. I pay too much money.
- 27:30Speaker 1: I definitely have to be spending on my kids. Oh
- 27:33Speaker 1: I ain't nothing like a black woman and her hell
- 27:39Speaker 1: Oh man, Okay, baby, I got one more thing to
- 27:41Speaker 1: ask you, girl, what is the baddest and I mean
- 27:44Speaker 1: the baddest radio show in the land. Well, after this prank,
- 27:50Speaker 1: he has to be the Steve Harvey Morning Show. And
- 27:53Speaker 1: there you have it, and you played too much. Hey,
- 27:58Speaker 1: we can't have it. Can't no front lace, back lace,
- 28:02Speaker 1: side lace. You can't have it at the job. Okay,
- 28:06Speaker 1: you're changing things here, all right. I'm just bringing you
- 28:09Speaker 1: the message. Okay. By the fact, Carlin Sherley, We're gonna
- 28:13Speaker 1: send y'all a little memo that y'all know what we're
- 28:15Speaker 1: doing here. By tomorrow. It's gonna be a few things
- 28:18Speaker 1: y'all can't do. Listen, my boss, Like what calling calling?
- 28:25Speaker 1: Said caller sake? But like what don't call it? Say?
- 28:30Speaker 1: But like what dope say? The things you've made up
- 28:32Speaker 1: in your head? Yeah, I ain't, I ain't. I ain't
- 28:35Speaker 1: quite figured it out yet exactly, Tommy, what would you
- 28:40Speaker 1: have these two stop doing? Can't? All right? We gotta
- 28:46Speaker 1: go look at the time coming up at the top
- 28:49Speaker 1: of the hour, Gonna have to move like that call
- 28:52Speaker 1: we ha huh no makeup for a month coming up
- 28:59Speaker 1: at the time off of the hour, entertainment and national
- 29:01Speaker 1: news right after this. You're listening, all right, guys, I
- 29:09Speaker 1: got a big announcement. Drum roll please, gentlemen, you ain't pregnant?
- 29:17Speaker 1: What is wrong with you? Drum roll? Moment? Oh yes,
- 29:27Speaker 1: it would have been the flow down to the hospital.
- 29:33Speaker 1: Go ahead, what you got? What I got? All right? Quickly?
- 29:36Speaker 1: Our girl, Shirley Strawberry has been named one of Radio
- 29:42Speaker 1: Ink's most influential Women in Radio. Let me say this again,
- 29:54Speaker 1: Thank you guys, than Than Well, thank you Radio Ink too. Yeah,
- 30:01Speaker 1: it just it never gets old. I appreciate them so
- 30:03Speaker 1: much for recognizing it. You know, We've been doing this
- 30:06Speaker 1: for a long time, and I just appreciate it because
- 30:08Speaker 1: we love what we do. Every day we come in
- 30:11Speaker 1: here and try to make a difference on the radio.
- 30:13Speaker 1: Of course, I couldn't have done it without this great
- 30:16Speaker 1: team led by the one and only Steve Harvey. We
- 30:19Speaker 1: got Carla Farrell, we got Nephew Tommy, we got Junior.
- 30:23Speaker 1: Thank you guys so much. But let me say this though,
- 30:27Speaker 1: this is really well deserved, because I'm gonna tell you
- 30:31Speaker 1: something flat out. When I first got this show, when
- 30:35Speaker 1: it started in Los Angeles, I was on the radio
- 30:40Speaker 1: for three days by myself. They knew right then. They
- 30:46Speaker 1: moved to bring somebody in that booty other than me
- 30:51Speaker 1: that could bring some type of servility to this show.
- 30:57Speaker 1: I wasn't going to commercial breaks on time, I wasn't
- 31:00Speaker 1: back selling, front selling. I didn't care nothing about the
- 31:05Speaker 1: damn commercials. I didn't like the music we was playing.
- 31:09Speaker 1: And they bought Shirley in. And when I first met Shirley,
- 31:13Speaker 1: I thought said, while well, this is an attractive girl,
- 31:16Speaker 1: but I don't like her because she too proper. You know.
- 31:20Speaker 1: I wanted somebody in there, like, you know, Lord Hayes,
- 31:24Speaker 1: or kill he and Sheryl Underwood, somebody crazy. But the
- 31:29Speaker 1: people in radio knew what was missing from the show,
- 31:32Speaker 1: and Shirley became an integral part of it. And for
- 31:35Speaker 1: twenty one years, with the exception of seven month span,
- 31:40Speaker 1: I've never done radio on the big scale without Shirley Strawberry.
- 31:46Speaker 1: The Steve Harvey that you see on radio today. A
- 31:50Speaker 1: huge part of that, and I'm very serious is because
- 31:54Speaker 1: of this woman, Shirley Strawberry. I would not have made
- 31:58Speaker 1: it this long. This show would not be on the
- 32:01Speaker 1: air today has she not came in and stabilized it.
- 32:05Speaker 1: And she taught me, and I'm very serious, she taught
- 32:07Speaker 1: me a lot about radio that I did not know.
- 32:11Speaker 1: And once she taught me, I was able to use
- 32:14Speaker 1: my god giving gift. But she stabilized me. And Shirley
- 32:19Speaker 1: has been with me through a divorce, children, I was
- 32:25Speaker 1: married when we were working together. Man marriage. She's watching
- 32:30Speaker 1: my kids getting married, grandkids. Shirley's been there for a
- 32:33Speaker 1: whole time. So anybody on this show that owes a
- 32:37Speaker 1: debt of gratitude to Shirley Strawberry. Is Steve Harvey, thank you,
- 32:44Speaker 1: straight cash money. That was beautiful, best voice in all
- 32:49Speaker 1: of radio bar none. It's quiver a little bit right
- 32:52Speaker 1: now after that, but thank you for that. They ain't
- 32:56Speaker 1: no me not in radio. Thank you. Time now for
- 33:00Speaker 1: today's headlines. Yeah, they was gonna take my black ass
- 33:03Speaker 1: out there. I know there was. I know white folks
- 33:07Speaker 1: was talking about it. I know the laws. Ladies and gentlemen,
- 33:10Speaker 1: without further ado, please put your hands together for the lovely,
- 33:14Speaker 1: the talented miss Ann Trip. Okay, I gotta follow that
- 33:18Speaker 1: right anyway, This is a trip for the news and
- 33:21Speaker 1: good morning. Everybody. Got to get serious. There's been another
- 33:24Speaker 1: mass shooting, this time in Boulder, Colorado, a supermarket there
- 33:28Speaker 1: where a gunman opened fire last night, killing ten people,
- 33:31Speaker 1: including an officer of the law, the first one to
- 33:33Speaker 1: arrive to help. A motive for the shooting is unknown,
- 33:36Speaker 1: but a suspect at least is under arrest. But that's Boulder, Colorado.
- 33:40Speaker 1: Is shooting ten people dead in the supermarket in Washington today.
- 33:43Speaker 1: Gun control, by the way, as the topic in the
- 33:45Speaker 1: Senate Judiciary Committee. Witnesses pushing for stricter background checks and
- 33:49Speaker 1: other things. In Minneapolis, prosecutors are seated another juror for
- 33:53Speaker 1: the murder trial of that white x Cob Derek Chauvin,
- 33:56Speaker 1: a fourteenth member of the panel, was selected yesterday to
- 33:59Speaker 1: hear the case against Vin, whose charge was second degree
- 34:02Speaker 1: and third degree murder as well as second degree manslaughter
- 34:05Speaker 1: for causing the death of mister George Floyd. Whever the
- 34:08Speaker 1: judge wants one more juror a whole fifteen all in all,
- 34:11Speaker 1: he wants twelve regular and three alternates. I guess he
- 34:14Speaker 1: wants to make sure the trial continues no matter what.
- 34:16Speaker 1: George Floyd was seen on video held face down on
- 34:19Speaker 1: the ground, handcuffed behind his back, show of his knee
- 34:22Speaker 1: on his neck for close to nine minutes. Opening arguments
- 34:25Speaker 1: are set for this coming Monday. President Biden's dispatching a
- 34:29Speaker 1: team to Mexico and Guatemala to help find a solution
- 34:32Speaker 1: to the current crisis at the southern border. Authority say
- 34:35Speaker 1: number of Central American migrants fleeting, fleeing their countries and
- 34:38Speaker 1: seeking entry into this one is soaring, with the most
- 34:41Speaker 1: immediate concern finding adequate space to hold the thousands of
- 34:45Speaker 1: unaccompanied youngsters by his President, Harris says that for one thing,
- 34:49Speaker 1: minus need to be relocated from the custody of Immigration
- 34:52Speaker 1: and Enforcement to health and human services. The US Supreme
- 34:56Speaker 1: Court has agreed to reconsider the death penalty given to
- 34:59Speaker 1: Zook Sai Naieve, the Boston Marathon bomber last year in
- 35:04Speaker 1: appeals court. Throughout Sarnaiev's death sentence, Sarnaiv was convicted of
- 35:08Speaker 1: carrying out the bombing with his older brother Tammelin Tamlin,
- 35:11Speaker 1: though was killed during the police pursuit. Four people were
- 35:14Speaker 1: killed in all, hundreds were injured, including some who lost
- 35:17Speaker 1: limbs who otherwise disfigured those people who were taking part
- 35:21Speaker 1: in the marathon that day. Sarnaia's lawyers contend that he
- 35:24Speaker 1: doesn't deserve the death penalty because he was only doing
- 35:27Speaker 1: what his big brother told him to do and that
- 35:29Speaker 1: he was afraid of him. The fence attorneys say they
- 35:32Speaker 1: were not allowed to tell the jury the Tamerlin was
- 35:34Speaker 1: previously involved in a triple murder. Finally, sad news the
- 35:38Speaker 1: Los Angeles Lakers Association announcing the passing of the legendary
- 35:41Speaker 1: Elgin Baylor Lakers, eleven time NBA All Star and Hall
- 35:44Speaker 1: of famer Elgin Bayler scored an unheard of sixty one
- 35:52Speaker 1: points during Game five of the NBA Finals against the
- 35:54Speaker 1: Celtics in nineteen sixty two. By the way, he was
- 35:56Speaker 1: eighty six years old. Now back to the Steve Harvey
- 35:58Speaker 1: Warning Show, listening to show, Well, yesterday, here we go again.
- 36:06Speaker 1: A man in Boulder, Colorado walked into a grocery store
- 36:09Speaker 1: and just started shooting. Some people were there to get
- 36:12Speaker 1: their COVID vaccinations. And this is just such a sad
- 36:16Speaker 1: story because you can tell this country is opening back up,
- 36:20Speaker 1: and just here we go again, starting off with mass shootings.
- 36:23Speaker 1: Multiple people were killed, including a police officer. I don't
- 36:29Speaker 1: know what to do. I mean, every time this happens,
- 36:31Speaker 1: we talk about changing the gun laws, nothing ever gets done.
- 36:35Speaker 1: We definitely need stricter federal gun laws. We need them now.
- 36:39Speaker 1: We need to expand background checks on gun sales. Now,
- 36:42Speaker 1: remember last week the gunmen in the SPA shootings killings,
- 36:47Speaker 1: that mass shooting in Atlanta. He purchased his gun on
- 36:51Speaker 1: the very same day. I mean, yeah, we will never
- 36:56Speaker 1: change this in this country because it NRA makes too
- 37:01Speaker 1: much money selling weapons. They will not stop selling the
- 37:06Speaker 1: weapons because they are not going to reduce their profit
- 37:10Speaker 1: line to create our safety in this country until something
- 37:16Speaker 1: happens to their children and their family members. They see
- 37:21Speaker 1: no reason to stop the profits. And you owe all
- 37:25Speaker 1: of this to that amendment in the Constitution that says
- 37:29Speaker 1: we have the right to bear arms. And these people
- 37:34Speaker 1: in the Republican Party are committed to that, and they
- 37:38Speaker 1: have to be committed to it because the number one
- 37:41Speaker 1: supporter financially to the entire Republican Party is the NRA. Yes,
- 37:50Speaker 1: and that's the America we live in. So stop saying
- 37:55Speaker 1: this ain't our country, because it is. And the other thing,
- 37:59Speaker 1: the way the suspect was arrested, you know, yeah where
- 38:04Speaker 1: he was nice walked out, yes, yeah, yeah, yeah yeah yeah.
- 38:09Speaker 1: He killed a cop. He killed the police officer you're
- 38:12Speaker 1: talking about the one in Boulder in Colorado. Yeah yeahah.
- 38:16Speaker 1: So the policing, the way they police us and the
- 38:19Speaker 1: way they police them. I mean, it's just that's that's
- 38:22Speaker 1: the issue too. It's that it's the gun control and
- 38:26Speaker 1: this country, like you said, see this country, this is America, man, Yeah, yeah, unfortunately,
- 38:33Speaker 1: but this is just so sad. I mean, now you
- 38:35Speaker 1: can't even go to the grocery store, get your shots,
- 38:38Speaker 1: you know, I mean grocery shop. You can't. Yeah, yeah,
- 38:42Speaker 1: for what did he kill these people? I mean why
- 38:48Speaker 1: you know? It's just sick. Yeah, in the head. You
- 38:52Speaker 1: have to be Yah. We're in a falling world and
- 38:57Speaker 1: we have to come to the arms with that in America.
- 39:00Speaker 1: This is what America is. A lot of times we
- 39:04Speaker 1: can stop saying it's not because it is. And they're
- 39:08Speaker 1: not going to change it because of profit. Yeah. All right, um, wow,
- 39:13Speaker 1: our prayers uh coming up at thirty four minutes after
- 39:17Speaker 1: the hour, Steve, you were on Ellen yesterday. We'll talk
- 39:20Speaker 1: about it right after this. You're listening to Steve Harvey
- 39:24Speaker 1: Morning Show. All right, So, Steve, you're a very special
- 39:28Speaker 1: guest on Ellen Degenerous yesterday. You did a version of
- 39:31Speaker 1: Ask the clo. Take a listen. I love this, Take
- 39:34Speaker 1: a listen. We have some good questions for you, Liz Chekan.
- 39:38Speaker 1: I think is that correct? Liz? How many times do
- 39:42Speaker 1: have six in a week with your partner? As many
- 39:44Speaker 1: times as you can? We don't know when you get
- 39:48Speaker 1: it all in pray. You were so funny, Steve staring up. Yeah,
- 39:58Speaker 1: I love what you had on. You looked good. Oh
- 40:00Speaker 1: they yellow. Yeah, it was beautiful. Yeah. Uh oh, why
- 40:10Speaker 1: do they call you blue cheese in case people don't know,
- 40:12Speaker 1: because I beat dressing. You also talked about Africa, Steve,
- 40:19Speaker 1: and how Family Feud they didn't want you to do
- 40:22Speaker 1: it at first, and how it's like the number one
- 40:24Speaker 1: show in Africa right now. Yeah, and going back to
- 40:28Speaker 1: Africa in about three weeks to tape the second season
- 40:34Speaker 1: in South Africa. Wow, God is good. It's a blessing.
- 40:38Speaker 1: The time was arranged to own the international rights to
- 40:43Speaker 1: it Family Feud, and so I produce it myself. My
- 40:47Speaker 1: production company produces it and against everybody, and it is
- 40:51Speaker 1: the number one show in South Africa. Yeah, that's amazing, Steve.
- 40:56Speaker 1: I like what you said too. You talked about in
- 41:00Speaker 1: Africa to Ellen. I think we have found a minority
- 41:04Speaker 1: and a majority being Africa. For me, as a sixty
- 41:09Speaker 1: four year old, sixty three year old black man, it
- 41:11Speaker 1: was the first time in my life while I woke
- 41:14Speaker 1: up every morning and I was no longer a minority,
- 41:17Speaker 1: and that was the most incredible feeling I've ever had. Yeah,
- 41:23Speaker 1: everybody should have that feeling. Husty for African Americans, you
- 41:28Speaker 1: have to find a way to go to Africa, you
- 41:32Speaker 1: will feel the way you've never felt before. And like
- 41:35Speaker 1: I said long time ago, it's like going back home
- 41:39Speaker 1: to a place you've never been. It's going home, but
- 41:45Speaker 1: to a place you've never You've never been home before,
- 41:48Speaker 1: and it's it's such an exhilarating feeling. And I look
- 41:53Speaker 1: forward to it to not being a minority, and it's
- 41:56Speaker 1: that's not in a racist way, but man to wait
- 42:00Speaker 1: up and not have to factor in deal with that.
- 42:04Speaker 1: I'm black today and I got to watch because when
- 42:08Speaker 1: the police stop you over there, they just stop you,
- 42:10Speaker 1: You get your ticket. They don't shoot nobody over there. Wow,
- 42:14Speaker 1: black people don't get shot over there when they get stopped.
- 42:17Speaker 1: They you can go places, you can do things. And
- 42:21Speaker 1: Africa South Africa, Durban, Johannesburg by Tswanna, Ghana, Nigeria. You
- 42:27Speaker 1: know all the places I've been, These are booming metropolis cities. Man,
- 42:32Speaker 1: it's not the picture that they painted. The restaurant's exquisite,

- 45:20Speaker 1: a problem that we can't clear up. Um. I have
- 45:24Speaker 1: a question for you. Have you been noticing anything different
- 45:28Speaker 1: about Malik? Um, like concerning hygiene at all? Hygiene? No,
- 45:33Speaker 1: not that I can be called what are you talking about? Okay?
- 45:37Speaker 1: How old is Malik? He's too Okay, Well, we all
- 45:41Speaker 1: soon have come across a little glitch here that we're
- 45:43Speaker 1: gonna try to take care of here at the at
- 45:46Speaker 1: the daycare. Actually my wife didn't. I told her I
- 45:48Speaker 1: would make the phone call and leave her out of it.
- 45:50Speaker 1: I know you see her every day one. Yeah, but
- 45:53Speaker 1: what glitch are you talking about? What? What is this glitch?
- 45:55Speaker 1: I'm sorry, glitch? What is this glitch that you want
- 45:58Speaker 1: to talk about? I'm confused? Okay, Well, actually what we're
- 46:01Speaker 1: having is it seems like every day here lately for
- 46:05Speaker 1: the last two months, Malik has been you know, very musty.
- 46:10Speaker 1: You know, he hasn't been really sweaty, but just real musty. Okay,
- 46:14Speaker 1: you clearly have the wrong child, because I give my
- 46:17Speaker 1: son a bath every night, and most morning is before
- 46:19Speaker 1: he lays to school, I give another bath again. So yeah,
- 46:22Speaker 1: I'm pretty positive you have the wrong child. No, man,

- 46:34Speaker 1: cute little kid with the curly hair. I know exactly
- 46:36Speaker 1: which one is. So what I'm what I'm saying to
- 46:39Speaker 1: you is that we are having problems. He's just he's
- 46:42Speaker 1: just reeking. You know, he's real musty. Okay, you know what,
- 46:45Speaker 1: my son does not reek. I don't know what child
- 46:47Speaker 1: you're talking about, but you're not talking about my child.
- 46:49Speaker 1: I just told you and make sure that he gets
- 46:51Speaker 1: a bath every night. So that's not my child. My
- 46:53Speaker 1: child is very clean. Okay, Well, what hang on, Vanessa.
- 46:56Speaker 1: What I'm trying to get you to understand is I'm
- 46:58Speaker 1: trying to This is why my wife and want to call. Okay,
- 47:01Speaker 1: and I'm glad I'm actually the one that made the call.
- 47:03Speaker 1: What we need to do. This is what I'm gonna do.
- 47:05Speaker 1: I'm just gonna try a little experiment for the next
- 47:08Speaker 1: month or so. Experiment. No, no, I'm sorry, Well what
- 47:11Speaker 1: do you mean experiment? What kind of experiment? Well, what
- 47:13Speaker 1: I'm gonna do is I'm gonna put some male deodorant
- 47:16Speaker 1: on him for the next well just for the next month,
- 47:19Speaker 1: and we'll see how it plays out. No, no, no,
- 47:20Speaker 1: you're not You're not gonna put anything on my child.
- 47:22Speaker 1: That's not gonna happen. Okay, Well, man, I'm trying to
- 47:25Speaker 1: I'm trying to fix the problem here. I just wanted
- 47:27Speaker 1: to call it doesn't have a problem. I already told
- 47:29Speaker 1: you that my son is clean. You're not gonna put
- 47:31Speaker 1: any DeArment on him, and if you do, it's going
- 47:34Speaker 1: to be a problem. Do you understand me? Okay, man,
- 47:36Speaker 1: I'm not trying to have an argument with you. What
- 47:38Speaker 1: I want you to know is I'm not trying to either.
- 47:41Speaker 1: But you're trying to You talking about putting Theodora on
- 47:43Speaker 1: my child. You can't do that. I'm not gonna have
- 47:46Speaker 1: to happen in Please don't make me have to come
- 47:48Speaker 1: that to that school for you and your wife. Okay, man, listen,
- 47:51Speaker 1: we're gonna have to do something about your child. Your
- 47:53Speaker 1: child is musty, okay, And you're sitting here getting an
- 47:56Speaker 1: attitude with me, and I'm trying to let you know
- 47:58Speaker 1: your child is consience. Maybe you're the one that is musty.
- 48:01Speaker 1: Maybe you and your wife are musty. My child is
- 48:04Speaker 1: not musty. I keep telling you that I bathed him
- 48:06Speaker 1: every night, Which part of that don't you understand? I
- 48:08Speaker 1: understand everything that you're saying. Maybe it's the soap, maybe
- 48:11Speaker 1: something that is not taking effect. I'm not sure. Okay,
- 48:14Speaker 1: maybe he doesn't smell with because I don't know what child.
- 48:17Speaker 1: You're not smelling my child. You are not using methy
- 48:21Speaker 1: on my child. Do I need to come down there

- 48:56Speaker 1: there's nothing wrong with my child, and you took up
- 48:58Speaker 1: on your shark to go and spray my child. And
- 49:00Speaker 1: you weren't about to jo are you? I'm reading my
- 49:03Speaker 1: right now? Okay, Well, what are you coming here for?
- 49:05Speaker 1: The boy is you're the son of the leak is fine?

- 49:29Speaker 1: been king for the musty. You know what. I ain't
- 49:34Speaker 1: even trying to hear you because you're you're you're clearly crazy.
- 49:38Speaker 1: How are you going around spraying people's kids? Hello? What's
- 49:40Speaker 1: my child? Did you smell? The other? Kidding? You know what?
- 49:43Speaker 1: I'm about to get in my car, coming on there
- 49:45Speaker 1: for your because you must be crazy? Hello? Hello? Hello?
- 49:52Speaker 1: Why did you hang up on me? I'm trying to

- 54:03Speaker 1: We got it for you here. It is a strong
- 54:06Speaker 1: very later. Oh please don't even try it. Subject his
- 54:10Speaker 1: ex wife wants to sleep over. Dear Stephen Shirley. I've
- 54:14Speaker 1: been married for two years and when I met my
- 54:16Speaker 1: husband four years ago, he had just gotten divorced and
- 54:20Speaker 1: he was in a bitter custody battle with his ex wife.
- 54:23Speaker 1: His daughter is very sweet and she loves her dad,
- 54:27Speaker 1: but the ex wife is dead set on her not
- 54:29Speaker 1: having a relationship with her dad. When we met, he
- 54:33Speaker 1: had to limit communication with his ex because she told everybody.
- 54:36Speaker 1: He kept calling her to work things out, and he
- 54:39Speaker 1: wanted his family back. I never gave it any of
- 54:42Speaker 1: my attention, but it really bothered him. Now he only
- 54:46Speaker 1: communicates with her by texting so she can't lie on him.
- 54:50Speaker 1: They have joint custody and he pays her child's support.
- 54:54Speaker 1: She didn't like the amount of child's support. The judge
- 54:57Speaker 1: ordered him to pay, so he pays a little more
- 54:59Speaker 1: every months. Nothing he's done makes her happy thus far. Meanwhile,
- 55:04Speaker 1: we haven't had his daughters sleep over at our house
- 55:07Speaker 1: in two years. I thought maybe if I befriended his
- 55:10Speaker 1: ex that would help things out, but she told me
- 55:13Speaker 1: not to ever call her phone again. A few months
- 55:17Speaker 1: after that, she texted me to say her behavior was
- 55:20Speaker 1: uncalled for and we could be cordial, but that didn't
- 55:24Speaker 1: last long. She continued to deny visitation to my husband.
- 55:28Speaker 1: We want to take his daughter, who's twelve years old now,
- 55:31Speaker 1: to South Carolina with us for spring break. His ex
- 55:34Speaker 1: wife said his daughter can't go on a trip with
- 55:38Speaker 1: us unless she goes too. Same thing with weekend visits
- 55:41Speaker 1: at our house. If the daughter sleeps over, the ex
- 55:44Speaker 1: wife has to come too. I don't want this woman
- 55:47Speaker 1: sleeping in my house. My husband said it may be
- 55:50Speaker 1: the only way for him to enjoy time with his child.
- 55:53Speaker 1: He is ready to seek full custody. What would you
- 55:56Speaker 1: do in this situation? WHOA, I don't know, but I
- 56:01Speaker 1: think you know that's a good place to start. To
- 56:03Speaker 1: go ahead and seek full custody, go back to the court.
- 56:07Speaker 1: I think your husband is in a horrible position because,
- 56:10Speaker 1: you know, despite all the craziness from his ex wife,
- 56:14Speaker 1: he wants to see his baby. Bottom line, he doesn't
- 56:17Speaker 1: have many options because of this ugly acting woman. She's evil,
- 56:21Speaker 1: she's out of line, and she's obviously a miserable, very
- 56:24Speaker 1: bitter person, and she's abusing her power and using her daughter,
- 56:28Speaker 1: putting her daughter right in the middle, using her as
- 56:31Speaker 1: a pawn, and that's just wrong to do children like that.
- 56:35Speaker 1: But on the other hand, you, I think, are an angel.
- 56:38Speaker 1: I mean, you've been over backwards to be accommodating to
- 56:40Speaker 1: this woman and that says you have love for your
- 56:43Speaker 1: husband and for his daughter, your stepdaughter. Your husband is
- 56:47Speaker 1: the very opposite of a deadbeat. Dad doesn't fit that
- 56:51Speaker 1: stereotype at all. He pays more child support than the
- 56:55Speaker 1: court ordered. You can't get a lot of dad's to
- 56:58Speaker 1: pay even the child's even anything, let alone more so,
- 57:02Speaker 1: that's good father who wants to be a major part
- 57:05Speaker 1: of her life. The thing is, your daughter really is
- 57:09Speaker 1: old enough to choose for herself what parents she wants
- 57:11Speaker 1: to be with. She just can't because she's a miner.
- 57:13Speaker 1: And I feel sorry in that regard, and because divorce
- 57:17Speaker 1: is so hard on children. I don't even understand why
- 57:21Speaker 1: this woman wants to stay in the house. Could it
- 57:23Speaker 1: be that she still wants your husband? I would say
- 57:26Speaker 1: the answer to that is yes. Does she want to
- 57:29Speaker 1: make your lives a living hell because she's so miserable
- 57:32Speaker 1: and unhappy? I think that would be a yes too.
- 57:36Speaker 1: But you know, you got to think about what's best
- 57:38Speaker 1: for the child, and right now until he goes to court,
- 57:42Speaker 1: you know, I don't know, could you guys get two
- 57:44Speaker 1: hotel rooms? Can you afford that? And you know, let
- 57:49Speaker 1: the wife stand one and with the child, and you
- 57:52Speaker 1: and the husband stand the other one. At least she
- 57:54Speaker 1: won't be in your house. I don't know. Maybe this
- 57:58Speaker 1: will work out until he and get to the court
- 58:01Speaker 1: and fix that. At least he can see his baby. Steve.
- 58:06Speaker 1: I don't really know what to say. This that a
- 58:09Speaker 1: kind of stupid to me. I wouldn't even wrote in
- 58:11Speaker 1: about this him. Well, you met your husband four years ago.
- 58:15Speaker 1: The subject is ex wife wants to sleep over sleep over? Well,
- 58:19Speaker 1: whoa So this lady is writing his letter and she's
- 58:23Speaker 1: talking about her husband's ex wants to sleep over at
- 58:28Speaker 1: their house. Yeah, he got divorced. Bitter custody battle, daughter
- 58:35Speaker 1: sweet loves her dad. Ex wife don't want them, have
- 58:39Speaker 1: no relationship. They met. They had limited communication with his
- 58:43Speaker 1: aunt because she told everybody. He kept calling that work,
- 58:45Speaker 1: trying to work stuff out because he wanted his family back.
- 58:48Speaker 1: She ain't paid no attention, so now he only commuted
- 58:51Speaker 1: by Texas, so she came loud it. He paid child support.
- 58:54Speaker 1: She don't like them mount he paid mold. Don't nothing
- 58:58Speaker 1: make her happen? Now they ain't had his daughter sleep
- 59:01Speaker 1: at day house in two years. And the reason I'm
- 59:05Speaker 1: reading this letter get us because I want you to
- 59:07Speaker 1: see how some people use children as pawns to get
- 59:15Speaker 1: back at the other party for whatever reason. We don't
- 59:21Speaker 1: know why they divorced, but obviously whether it was her fault.
- 59:25Speaker 1: But it takes two people to get a divorce. Somebody
- 59:29Speaker 1: two people. Look, somebody may initiate the wrong, but when
- 59:33Speaker 1: you get a divorce, two people did something that wasn't
- 59:37Speaker 1: cool where you handle it or something. So it takes
- 59:40Speaker 1: two people to get a divorce. So you thought that
- 59:45Speaker 1: you should be friends, crazy healthful. He as a woman
- 59:52Speaker 1: that don't care what her baby think. But you think
- 59:57Speaker 1: you're gonna get her to start making sense to you.
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: She don't care nothing about you because she don't can
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: none about her child. When you use a child as
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: a pawn in the relationship, the damage that you think
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: you're doing to the other party, whatever you're doing to
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: another party, multiply that by ten, because that's what's happening
- 1:00:19Speaker 1: with the child. All right, Steve, hold that thought. Okay,
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: we're gonna have part two of your response coming up
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: at twenty three minutes after the hour today's Strawberry Letters
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: subject his ex wife wants to sleep over. We'll get
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: back into it right after this you're listening Steve Harvey
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: Morning Show. All right, Steve, come on, let's recap today's
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: Strawberry Letters subject his ex wife wants to sleep over?
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: What now? Who do that? Who? First of all, let's
- 1:00:50Speaker 1: be real about this. Anybody canna let you the ex
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: wife stay? This is this woman's house. Ain't no woman
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: letting your letting her husband when his ex wife sleep
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: over because she demands it. Yeah, it would be different
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: if some extenuating circumstances the house burned down and they
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: needed a place to stay for a couple of days.
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: Got that, But she won't let the baby come over
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: the oas house and for two years and spend the night.
- 1:01:20Speaker 1: The daughter loves her daddy. You try to befriend, You
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: try to befriend this crazy woman that don't care nothing
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: about her daughter. So now she said they want to
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: take the daughter, who's twelve years old, to South Carolina
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: with him for spring break. His wife said, his daughter
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: can't go on the trip with us unless she go
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: to nobody fend to pay for you to come nowhere break.
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: His ex wife said, his daughter can't go on the
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: trip with us unless she goes to same thing that
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: we can visit our house. If the daughter sleeps over,
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: the ex wife has to come to I don't want
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: this woman sleeping in my house. My husband been saying
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: it may be the only way for him to enjoy
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: time with his child. He's ready to seek full custody.
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: What do you think of this situation? First of all, sir,
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: you're gonna have to find I know you wanted to
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: see your daughter, but that ex wife demanded to sleep
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: over the house. There's no reason that that should be
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: the case. You've got to get a lawyer and get
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: unsupervised visits, and you've got to get weak in rights
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: to your daughter. Now, I don't know if they're gonna
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: give you full custody, because for a court to take
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: a child away from a mother, you have to be
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: an unfit mom. Crazy don't count as unfit because she's
- 1:02:44Speaker 1: not abusing the daughter. She just abusing the man, which
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: in turn abusing the daughter. Ain't no court fit to
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: do that. But let me tell you why you really
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: can't have its health at your house. Come on, let's
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: just go a couple of things. Let's just start with
- 1:02:59Speaker 1: number one on sleep over your house. Wake up this
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: crazy health for standing over you with a butcher knife.
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: That's for start. Now you're walking all into kitchen, her
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: crazy ass in there making sandwiches. This ain't your house.
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: Can't be in here doing this in here. She down
- 1:03:19Speaker 1: seat and bought a load of clothes over She downstairs
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: washing a load of clothes and your damn laundry, Matt,
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: don't let this health for in your house. Knocking on
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: the bathroom though you and theyre in the bathroom. She
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: knocking on the door. What's taking you so long? Hairy out,
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: I need to get in there in your house. Even
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: as she rearranging furniture. I don't like the sefa over here.
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: I want it over here. Sitting up in here, snatch
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: the remote out your hand, making everybody watch for the
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: eight hours. Don't let this crazy health in your house.
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: You go down stair. She walking around with her braun
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: pants on, talking about what you want, what you want,
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: not that, walking around the house, humming, gotta feeling, gotta feeling,
- 1:04:31Speaker 1: a gotta feeling. Somebody's try to sneak in. My friend,
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: be no like that. Oh no, that's just crazy health
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: in your house, being here lighting candles and stuff. Let's
- 1:04:58Speaker 1: say they all count of stuff going that kitchen, she
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: and that got two chicken feet in there with a
- 1:05:05Speaker 1: bird beak. Oh yeah, yeah, I feel bad looking man.
- 1:05:14Speaker 1: But he has to go to court though and work
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: out something and gets visitation and weekends. Gotta have weekends
- 1:05:24Speaker 1: with your child. They already have joint custody though, I mean,
- 1:05:28Speaker 1: but see if she you can enforce the joint custody.
- 1:05:34Speaker 1: She can't make the rules of the joint custody because
- 1:05:36Speaker 1: the father hasn't been ruled unfit, so he has to
- 1:05:41Speaker 1: have weekends. He's paying child custody, I mean child support.
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: He should have rights and a weekend with his daughter
- 1:05:51Speaker 1: every other weekend he's without the mama. I have a question,
- 1:05:55Speaker 1: So is it? Is it? Perhaps maybe spring break is
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: her week and she doesn't want to give that week up,
- 1:06:01Speaker 1: and that's why she's demanding to go. No, she didn't
- 1:06:03Speaker 1: say this is not only the spring break. The girl
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: ain't been today house in two years. Yeah, so this
- 1:06:10Speaker 1: is way beyond the spring break. If she won't even
- 1:06:13Speaker 1: let the daughter come to the house to see the man, right, yeah,
- 1:06:18Speaker 1: because she being funky because she bid him. Yes, yeah,
- 1:06:22Speaker 1: And I can't stand when they use the children as pawns.
- 1:06:25Speaker 1: That's them in the middle and hurting the child. Yeah,
- 1:06:28Speaker 1: you're you're holding this child. She wants to see her dad,
- 1:06:31Speaker 1: and the dad wants to spend time with her. All right,
- 1:06:33Speaker 1: thank you? All right, post your comments on today's Strawberry No.
- 1:06:41Speaker 1: That's Steve Harvey FM on Instagram and Facebook. Check out
- 1:06:45Speaker 1: the Strawberry Letter podcast on demand, please and coming up
- 1:06:48Speaker 1: at forty six minutes after the hour, we'll have Sports
- 1:06:50Speaker 1: Talk with Junior right after this you're listening show. All right, guys,
- 1:06:57Speaker 1: listen up. Junior is here with Sports Talk. What you guys, Junior?
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: Okay Brooklyn knits NBA start. Kyrie Irvin had the perfect
- 1:07:03Speaker 1: response to this sports reporter's question. He asked Kyrie, if
- 1:07:06Speaker 1: he wants to change the perception of himself, take listen.
- 1:07:09Speaker 1: That's another route of human human struggle, worrying about other
- 1:07:13Speaker 1: people's perceptions about who you are, Like, why would you
- 1:07:17Speaker 1: ever care about that? You know? And I think that
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: I felt victim to that in my past, of worrying
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: about things that I can't control. You know, if the
- 1:07:26Speaker 1: people understood what words could do to human being, especially
- 1:07:29Speaker 1: where we are in today's society, then they wouldn't they
- 1:07:32Speaker 1: wouldn't be invested in that, so I don't. I'm not
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: here to dispel anything. You can continue to ask other
- 1:07:38Speaker 1: people around me about what they think about me, and
- 1:07:41Speaker 1: continue to write about mood swings like you know, human
- 1:07:44Speaker 1: beings have mood swings, Like you go home and you're
- 1:07:47Speaker 1: you're not happy with things, or you're mad at something,
- 1:07:50Speaker 1: or you're happy. That's a mood swing. It's okay to
- 1:07:52Speaker 1: be human, Like, I don't have to be perfect for
- 1:07:55Speaker 1: anyone here, nor do I have to be perfect for
- 1:07:57Speaker 1: the public. So I'm not here to dispel any perception.
- 1:08:00Speaker 1: I'm just here to be myself. I love that. Yeah,
- 1:08:07Speaker 1: I get paid to play basketball. That's what I do.
- 1:08:10Speaker 1: Ye see, that's way better than my response because I
- 1:08:13Speaker 1: like a nice short kiss my ass and how he
- 1:08:20Speaker 1: took the time to write that old paragraph. Congratulations, brother,
- 1:08:26Speaker 1: very good. Let me try to Let's try it right now. Uh,
- 1:08:29Speaker 1: miss harm Uh your perception of people? Do you do
- 1:08:33Speaker 1: you think you need to change that? Well, you know,
- 1:08:37Speaker 1: based on people's perception of you, Well, based on the
- 1:08:42Speaker 1: dissertation that was just performed by mister Kyrie Irvin of
- 1:08:46Speaker 1: the Brooklyn Nets, I chose to go about it a
- 1:08:49Speaker 1: much simpler way. Would just like to say to the
- 1:08:53Speaker 1: following group of people, the media, social media, the press, haters,
- 1:09:01Speaker 1: and all my exes, there's a center point. Okay, that
- 1:09:13Speaker 1: whole area that is open to anybody of mine that's
- 1:09:17Speaker 1: got a problem with him is just to That's how
- 1:09:24Speaker 1: are you correcting him. That's just how you form everybody
- 1:09:27Speaker 1: to feel about me and Kyrie. You're not doing the
- 1:09:32Speaker 1: Kyrie thing. You do your own thing. Now, I'm gonna
- 1:09:35Speaker 1: be very descriptive about what i want you to do.
- 1:09:42Speaker 1: Take a deep breaths, Junior, Okay, thank you nothing. We'll
- 1:09:53Speaker 1: have more of the stever Harvard Morning Show coming up
- 1:09:56Speaker 1: right at my response with crazy you're listening morning show? Well, guys,
- 1:10:04Speaker 1: in spring break time, people who thought they were going
- 1:10:07Speaker 1: to enjoy all day, all night parties in Miami Beach
- 1:10:10Speaker 1: for spring break, they're getting shut down in a big,
- 1:10:13Speaker 1: big way. Okay. In a situation that Mayor Dan Gelbert
- 1:10:16Speaker 1: says has gotten chaotic, He's extending curfews to curb rowdy
- 1:10:20Speaker 1: spring break crowds from now until April twelfth, and overnight
- 1:10:24Speaker 1: curfew will be in effect, which means everyone needs to
- 1:10:27Speaker 1: be off the streets by eight p M official state
- 1:10:31Speaker 1: has gotten so bad. Yeah, yeah, that's very early. Yeah,
- 1:10:37Speaker 1: and it's still light. Right. It's gotten so bad that
- 1:10:40Speaker 1: Miami Beach had to declare a state of emergency Saturday
- 1:10:43Speaker 1: night because of the large crowds descending on the city.
- 1:10:45Speaker 1: Not only that police had to use pepper spray balls
- 1:10:48Speaker 1: against groups of partiers to get there get them to disperse. Meanwhile,
- 1:10:54Speaker 1: Florida is one of the leading states now with a
- 1:10:57Speaker 1: surge of variant cases in the US. Cases. Uh, they're
- 1:11:01Speaker 1: on the rise in over twenty five states, while health
- 1:11:04Speaker 1: officials warn against reopening two quickly. So now you have
- 1:11:09Speaker 1: using pamper spray on these kids who are unruly doing
- 1:11:15Speaker 1: spring break. I used to like party in college, but
- 1:11:19Speaker 1: I don't know if you've ever been around tear gas.
- 1:11:21Speaker 1: It's hard to dance when tear gass is in that room.
- 1:11:25Speaker 1: It's really really hard to dance, keep your rhythm. You know,
- 1:11:30Speaker 1: you can't kill it. Don't make no sense, but you
- 1:11:33Speaker 1: know what I was looking at this footage, man ain't
- 1:11:36Speaker 1: nobody got a mask on down about it? Nobody. The
- 1:11:41Speaker 1: inconsideration that some of these young people have, like they
- 1:11:44Speaker 1: have this one white kid on TV just haven't to
- 1:11:47Speaker 1: be white. I'm just telling you. He said, hey, hey,
- 1:11:50Speaker 1: we don't have to buy into this whole COVID theme.
- 1:11:53Speaker 1: Yeah it's a boy. What yet some of them still
- 1:11:59Speaker 1: this country, man, and we should still be under mandatory
- 1:12:03Speaker 1: mask until they get the masses vaccinated, if that's what
- 1:12:09Speaker 1: they're gonna do. I'm telling you, man, this makes no
- 1:12:12Speaker 1: sense at all. But we're so free, we're too free.
- 1:12:16Speaker 1: The countries that have this thing under control, mandatory mask.
- 1:12:20Speaker 1: How is that a problem to put a mask on?
- 1:12:22Speaker 1: Because Donald Trump told the Republicans not to and do
- 1:12:28Speaker 1: these little ignorant states with these republic governors lifting the
- 1:12:32Speaker 1: mask and lifting the bands. Understand, opening restaurants and stuff,
- 1:12:36Speaker 1: because you got to get the economy back. I got that.
- 1:12:39Speaker 1: But let them do the social distancing, let them do
- 1:12:42Speaker 1: the space out seating, have some outdoor seating and stuff
- 1:12:45Speaker 1: like that. I got that. Let the economy open, Let
- 1:12:48Speaker 1: these businesses have a chance to survive. But you got
- 1:12:51Speaker 1: to wear a mask. And people at the restaurant, the
- 1:12:55Speaker 1: people that work at the restaurant are wearing masks. Yeah,
- 1:12:59Speaker 1: they used to. They refused to side with the governor.
- 1:13:02Speaker 1: They putting the mask on. That's right, that's right. But
- 1:13:05Speaker 1: there's no one more way to wear a mask. It's
- 1:13:08Speaker 1: no fun. But you know, to keep yourself healthy and
- 1:13:11Speaker 1: others healthy, Why wouldn't you want to do that. There's
- 1:13:13Speaker 1: gonna be another year and a half of these masks.
- 1:13:16Speaker 1: I believe that. I really believe that because we can't stop.
- 1:13:20Speaker 1: You won't. Every time thing consistently long enough, right, every
- 1:13:25Speaker 1: time it goes down, the numbers go down. Then you
- 1:13:29Speaker 1: know their spring break and people while out or you know,
- 1:13:32Speaker 1: and they spread these super spreaders, you know, especially something.
- 1:13:35Speaker 1: And if you own the place of business, wouldn't you
- 1:13:37Speaker 1: want your people wearing mask? If they catch it, they
- 1:13:41Speaker 1: can't come to work. You need them. Yeah, and you
- 1:13:44Speaker 1: have just a business owner to refuse the service people.
- 1:13:48Speaker 1: You say, no shirt, no service, no shoes, no service.
- 1:13:50Speaker 1: They have a right to say, no mask, no service.
- 1:13:54Speaker 1: They have put you our customers coming in clowning behind
- 1:13:56Speaker 1: that night. Yeah, that's crazy. The mask is a hope.
- 1:14:00Speaker 1: I'll never eat at this restaurant again. Bye bye. You
- 1:14:05Speaker 1: ain't gonna be eating long now you're gonna be on
- 1:14:10Speaker 1: the ventilator. Don't worry about it. Real hard that ventilator.
- 1:14:14Speaker 1: Yeah it is. Yes, this is so ridiculous. I mean,
- 1:14:18Speaker 1: you know, let's try to work together to rid ourselves
- 1:14:22Speaker 1: of this pandemic. Let's try. Why can't you know? They
- 1:14:27Speaker 1: just won't do Right now, we got violence and smash,
- 1:14:31Speaker 1: shootings and shootings. All right, listen, we'll have more of
- 1:14:38Speaker 1: the Steve Harvey Morning Show. It's exhausting. It's still exhausting.
- 1:14:42Speaker 1: Coming up in twenty minutes right after this you're listening show.
- 1:14:49Speaker 1: Another breakup to reports comedian Gary Owen. We all know him, well,
- 1:14:54Speaker 1: his wife, can you do, because filed for divorce. She's
- 1:14:56Speaker 1: ending their eight year marriage. Ye. Yeah, they had three
- 1:15:01Speaker 1: adult kids. Yeah. You guys are comedians, so you know Gary. Yeah. Yeah.
- 1:15:08Speaker 1: A lot of his comedy was about his wife, you
- 1:15:10Speaker 1: know the fact that he was married to a black
- 1:15:12Speaker 1: wife and he needn't Yeah, you know, but everybody was
- 1:15:18Speaker 1: asking why no one knew why they divorced. And I
- 1:15:21Speaker 1: gotta tell you, they are rumors swirling around that Gary
- 1:15:24Speaker 1: cheated and she's not having it all right, ken, Yeah,
- 1:15:29Speaker 1: she tweeted that, you know, when she met Gary, he
- 1:15:31Speaker 1: didn't have anything, uh, you know, a broke down car
- 1:15:34Speaker 1: and you know, good credit, no place to live, all
- 1:15:38Speaker 1: of that. Yeah, she did. She, Um, she knows who
- 1:15:42Speaker 1: it is. She says, you all know who. Claudia Jordan is,
- 1:15:45Speaker 1: a beautiful Claudia Jordan. It's Claudia Jordan's friend. So one
- 1:15:49Speaker 1: of her hashtags was not Claudia Jordan hashtag not Claudia Jordan,
- 1:15:54Speaker 1: hashtag Claudia's friend. Another hashtag was hashtag no white women involved,
- 1:16:02Speaker 1: because there was there were other rumors saying that he
- 1:16:05Speaker 1: left her for a white woman or something. You know,
- 1:16:11Speaker 1: she was tweeting, yeah, no women. Yeah, So I mean,
- 1:16:16Speaker 1: you know, that's sad news and I don't know, teen
- 1:16:20Speaker 1: years of marriage. Yeah, Ken, Yeah, she is all right.
- 1:16:24Speaker 1: We'll be back with more of the Steve Harvey Morning
- 1:16:27Speaker 1: Show coming up at thirty three minutes after the hour,
- 1:16:29Speaker 1: right after this you're listening show. Well, yesterday, here we
- 1:16:36Speaker 1: go again. A man in Boulder, Colorado walked into a
- 1:16:39Speaker 1: grocery store and just started shooting. Some people were there
- 1:16:43Speaker 1: to get their COVID vaccinations. And this is just such
- 1:16:46Speaker 1: a sad story because you can tell this country is
- 1:16:49Speaker 1: opening back up, and just here we go again, starting
- 1:16:52Speaker 1: off with mass shootings. Multiple people were killed, including a
- 1:16:56Speaker 1: police officer. UM, I don't know what to do. I mean,
- 1:17:00Speaker 1: every time this happens, we talk about changing the gun laws,
- 1:17:03Speaker 1: nothing ever gets done. We definitely need stricter federal gun laws.
- 1:17:08Speaker 1: We need them now. We need to expand background checks
- 1:17:11Speaker 1: on gun sales. Now. Remember last week the gunmen in
- 1:17:16Speaker 1: the SPA shootings killings, that mass shooting in Atlanta, he
- 1:17:20Speaker 1: purchased his gun on the very same day. I will
- 1:17:25Speaker 1: never Yeah, we will never change this in this country
- 1:17:29Speaker 1: because the NRA makes too much money selling weapons. They
- 1:17:35Speaker 1: will not stop selling the weapons because they are not
- 1:17:38Speaker 1: going to reduce their profit line to create safety in
- 1:17:43Speaker 1: this country. Pie until something happens to their children and
- 1:17:49Speaker 1: their family members. They see no reason to stop the profits.
- 1:17:54Speaker 1: And you owe all of this to that the amendment
- 1:17:58Speaker 1: in the Constitution that says we have the right to
- 1:18:01Speaker 1: bear arms. And these people in the Republican Party are
- 1:18:07Speaker 1: committed to that and they have to be committed to
- 1:18:10Speaker 1: it because the number one supporter financially to the entire
- 1:18:15Speaker 1: Republican Party is the NRA. Yes, And that's the America
- 1:18:22Speaker 1: we live in. Yeah, So stop saying this ain't our country,
- 1:18:26Speaker 1: because it is. And the other thing, the way the
- 1:18:31Speaker 1: suspect was arrested, you know, yeah, where he was out, yes, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 1:18:39Speaker 1: He killed the cop, he killed the police officer you're
- 1:18:42Speaker 1: talking about in Colorado, Yeah, yeah, yeah. So the policing,
- 1:18:48Speaker 1: the way they police us and the way they police them.
- 1:18:51Speaker 1: I mean, it's just that's that's the issue too. It's
- 1:18:54Speaker 1: that it's the gun control and this country, like you said,
- 1:18:58Speaker 1: see this country, this is America, man. Yeah, yeah, unfortunately,
- 1:19:04Speaker 1: but this is just so sad. I mean, now you
- 1:19:06Speaker 1: can't even go to the grocery store get your shots,
- 1:19:09Speaker 1: you know, I mean grocery shop, you can't. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:19:13Speaker 1: for what did he kill these people? I mean why
- 1:19:18Speaker 1: you know, it's just sick. Yeah, in the head. You
- 1:19:23Speaker 1: have to be. We're in a fallen world and we
- 1:19:28Speaker 1: have to come to arms with that and America. This
- 1:19:31Speaker 1: is what America is. A lot of times we can
- 1:19:35Speaker 1: stop saying it's not because it is, yeah, and then
- 1:19:38Speaker 1: not going to change it because of profit. Yeah. All right, um, wow,
- 1:19:43Speaker 1: our prayers coming up. It is our last break of
- 1:19:47Speaker 1: the day, and of course we'll have some closing remarks
- 1:19:49Speaker 1: from the one and Emily Steve Harvey right after this.
- 1:19:52Speaker 1: You're listening, all right, guys, Here we are our last

- 1:21:33Speaker 1: I've seen You've seen a lot of players, all the
- 1:21:36Speaker 1: great errors. I've seen all the great players that they
- 1:21:39Speaker 1: talk about. You know, they're George Lake and Iwold that
- 1:21:44Speaker 1: was before me, the little peach Baskets and all that.
- 1:21:46Speaker 1: I wasn't here for that. But anybody that they talked

- 1:21:56Speaker 1: Oscar Robertson, Yeah, yeah, Oscar Robinson, Bobby Dandridge and Junior
- 1:22:04Speaker 1: Bridgeman the Milwaukee Bucks, and then Louil Cinder Kane boy
- 1:22:12Speaker 1: boy boy. Trying to tell you and you know, man,
- 1:22:17Speaker 1: I've been listening to this debate. Everybody's trying to debate
- 1:22:20Speaker 1: who's the greatest between Michael Jordan and Lebron James. And
- 1:22:24Speaker 1: you know what, I've come to terms because there's so
- 1:22:26Speaker 1: much greatness in both of these I just started saying,
- 1:22:29Speaker 1: it's just the two greatest basketball players of their era,
- 1:22:34Speaker 1: because this dude, Jordan change basketball forever. There's no Jordan,
- 1:22:41Speaker 1: there's no Lebron, there's no Kobe, you know, and so
- 1:22:46Speaker 1: I just think that that dude changed where the game was.
- 1:22:49Speaker 1: But Lebron, when you take a dude that every city
- 1:22:54Speaker 1: he go to win a title, yeah, yeah, you got
- 1:22:58Speaker 1: to you got to say, wait a minutem what and
- 1:23:01Speaker 1: then three different his social consciousness. It's this dude is
- 1:23:11Speaker 1: crazy in the community, in the culture. Yes, this dude
- 1:23:16Speaker 1: about it man. And then to be playing basketball as
- 1:23:21Speaker 1: long as he has. See he older than Jordan and
- 1:23:26Speaker 1: he played the game being playing the game longer than
- 1:23:28Speaker 1: Jordan and at this level here, Oh, Lebron ain't no joke,
- 1:23:33Speaker 1: not with all that said that damn Michael Jordan. St
- 1:23:38Speaker 1: Michael Jordan. Yeah, it's nothing you can say. You can't
- 1:23:41Speaker 1: take nothing from him. He got six rings. But that
- 1:23:45Speaker 1: boy was he changed in the national basketball and people
- 1:23:49Speaker 1: used to get on Jordan about talking about he wasn't
- 1:23:51Speaker 1: socially relevant and involved. He was, but he was born
- 1:23:55Speaker 1: for a different purpose. He was born to usher basketball
- 1:24:00Speaker 1: into the international level. That was his colleague. And then
- 1:24:05Speaker 1: he became a businessman and now he does some incredible stuff.
- 1:24:09Speaker 1: But he's always been doing stuff with his Jump foundation.
- 1:24:12Speaker 1: People just never really gave him that du It's just
- 1:24:15Speaker 1: Lebron is out there with it so greatness. Right then
- 1:24:18Speaker 1: apology doctor J one of the great basketball players man
- 1:24:25Speaker 1: played in the ABA, came to the NBA. See it
- 1:24:28Speaker 1: used to be an ABA. That was a red, white
- 1:24:30Speaker 1: and blue ball. When he came over to the NBA,
- 1:24:34Speaker 1: that was it because he was in an ABA clowning.
- 1:24:37Speaker 1: They said, well, he come to the NBA, he won't,
- 1:24:39Speaker 1: he won't. What if he comes to the NBA, he won't,
- 1:24:45Speaker 1: he won't. What to the NBA, d A all that
- 1:24:49Speaker 1: plus so it was just some great players. Man. I've
- 1:24:53Speaker 1: been very fortunate in my life. Man. I grew up
- 1:24:55Speaker 1: in a great time because I think I saw the
- 1:24:58Speaker 1: best entertainers and I've seen the best athletes. Muhammad Ali
- 1:25:05Speaker 1: when he lost to Frasier in seventy one at Madison
- 1:25:09Speaker 1: Square Garden and we went to school next day, they
