- 0:00Speaker 1: Today's show is pre recorded. Y'all know what time. Y'all
- 0:05Speaker 1: don't know. Y'all have a sun giving them like a
- 0:15Speaker 1: million bucks. Things in the stuffing me through. Good Steve,
- 0:24Speaker 1: listen to the mother. Please, I don't join me. You
- 0:59Speaker 1: gotta turn you, you gotta turn to turn out. You
- 1:43Speaker 1: got to turn out. Then turn the water, the water go.
- 1:55Speaker 1: Come come on your tha, Uh, I sure will. Good
- 2:03Speaker 1: morning everybody you're listening to the voice. Come on dig
- 2:07Speaker 1: me now, one and only Steve Harvid ah Man got
- 2:10Speaker 1: a radio show. Man got a radio show, and a
- 2:14Speaker 1: whole lot more too. Man. God is good to me.
- 2:17Speaker 1: I have no other explanation if you. I have no
- 2:20Speaker 1: other explanation of my existence and where I stand in
- 2:24Speaker 1: this thing called life, except if it was not for
- 2:27Speaker 1: the goodness of God Almighty. If it was not for
- 2:30Speaker 1: His grace and his mercy, There's no way I could
- 2:34Speaker 1: exist the way that I do. I would not be
- 2:37Speaker 1: who I am or where I am. I am who
- 2:40Speaker 1: I am and where I am simply because God is
- 2:45Speaker 1: who he is. If it was not for God, I
- 2:49Speaker 1: would have no testimony for you, because I would have
- 2:53Speaker 1: failed every single test plain, pure and simple. I can
- 2:59Speaker 1: sit here today until you flat out that it is
- 3:04Speaker 1: purely because of God's grace and mercy that I exist
- 3:09Speaker 1: today because of His favor. See now He shows us
- 3:13Speaker 1: favor in life because of a combination of things I've discovered.
- 3:18Speaker 1: And this is not the whole answer to life, I
- 3:21Speaker 1: can assure you as not. But this is a combination
- 3:25Speaker 1: that I've grown to understand better and better, and I
- 3:28Speaker 1: wish I had gotten it earlier in my life. But
- 3:31Speaker 1: here it is. If you take faith and you combine
- 3:38Speaker 1: it with an incredible work ethic, then God has the
- 3:48Speaker 1: greatest opportunities to show you favor. That's the best way
- 3:55Speaker 1: I can explain success to you from my standpoint. It
- 3:59Speaker 1: is to dombination of faith and work that produces the
- 4:05Speaker 1: most opportunities for God to show you favor. See a
- 4:09Speaker 1: lot of times we want God to bless us, but
- 4:11Speaker 1: we ain't doing nothing for him to bless So now
- 4:14Speaker 1: we sideways in the equation a little bit. But see,
- 4:18Speaker 1: if you had the faith in God that God can
- 4:22Speaker 1: do anything but fail, that God will get you through,
- 4:26Speaker 1: that God will see you through, that that God is
- 4:29Speaker 1: the God you serve as the greatest gift of all
- 4:31Speaker 1: good things. If you kept that faith intact through it all,
- 4:36Speaker 1: and you produced an incredible work ethic that allows the
- 4:42Speaker 1: most opportunities for God to show you favor. See without
- 4:48Speaker 1: that what you want God to do? See, you can
- 4:50Speaker 1: have faith and be sitting at the house watching TV.
- 4:55Speaker 1: There's nothing being produced, no opportunities for God to show
- 5:00Speaker 1: your favor. And you got to do some things man,
- 5:04Speaker 1: that you are uncomfortable doing or don't feel like doing,
- 5:08Speaker 1: or something that don't have the right payoff right in
- 5:11Speaker 1: front of your face, with the faith that it will
- 5:14Speaker 1: payoff later on. See, too many people are working for
- 5:18Speaker 1: the right now reward, and the right now reward is
- 5:22Speaker 1: not how it works. Sometimes the reward is coming later
- 5:25Speaker 1: on up the road. But the only way you can
- 5:28Speaker 1: know that is if you got to You got to
- 5:30Speaker 1: apply the faith and see the reason you don't know
- 5:34Speaker 1: that that's coming like that, or you have to have
- 5:37Speaker 1: faith to believe that it is coming. Because faith is
- 5:40Speaker 1: the belief in things that you cannot see. That's what
- 5:46Speaker 1: faith is. You know you're standing at let me give
- 5:49Speaker 1: you them. You're standing at the crosswalk with a walk
- 5:52Speaker 1: sign on it and the sign flashing on the corner.
- 5:54Speaker 1: Don't walk, Then that the signs say walk. What do
- 6:00Speaker 1: you think your chances are making it across that street?
- 6:03Speaker 1: Is well pretty good because guess what the signs say walk.
- 6:08Speaker 1: You can see the other side. There's other people in
- 6:11Speaker 1: the cross walk walking, So guess what you strike out blindly?
- 6:15Speaker 1: It don't take a lot of faith to get across
- 6:17Speaker 1: that street. That's that's That's not why I'm talking to
- 6:21Speaker 1: you about. I'm talking about the faith, the belief in
- 6:25Speaker 1: things that you cannot see, the faith that what I'm
- 6:29Speaker 1: doing today, I believe in my heart of heart that
- 6:34Speaker 1: God wouldn't bring me this far to leave me. That
- 6:37Speaker 1: God is a true and living God, that he keeps
- 6:39Speaker 1: his promises, that later on, there's things that I'm working
- 6:42Speaker 1: towards right now gonna pay off later on. See, too
- 6:45Speaker 1: many people want to reward right now. See, that's not
- 6:48Speaker 1: the exhibition of faith. If it's the right thing to do,
- 6:54Speaker 1: if it's if it's a good thing to do, if
- 6:56Speaker 1: it's a just thing to do, see if it's seeing
- 7:00Speaker 1: in it it ain't God. You can just clear on
- 7:03Speaker 1: up right there. You can stop all the wondering. If
- 7:05Speaker 1: that's his voice talking to you, if it's the right
- 7:08Speaker 1: thing to do, if it's sin in it. It's not
- 7:12Speaker 1: God talking to you. Kill it. You you you can
- 7:16Speaker 1: shut it down. You ain't got to wonder about it.
- 7:18Speaker 1: Go down there secret venge that ain't God. Go tell
- 7:21Speaker 1: him off when you see him. That ain't God. Anything.
- 7:24Speaker 1: That's God's sin in it, is not God's voice telling
- 7:27Speaker 1: you to do it. So you can. You can kill
- 7:29Speaker 1: that conversation to date. That's how you know. But if
- 7:32Speaker 1: you align yourself up man and you and what you're
- 7:35Speaker 1: doing is just and right and correct and pleasing in
- 7:38Speaker 1: the sight of God, it'll pay off for you later on.
- 7:43Speaker 1: And see here's here's here's the best way I can
- 7:46Speaker 1: tell to it. Here's another one. When you're going somewhere,
- 7:52Speaker 1: when you're when you're on the road to going somewhere,
- 7:55Speaker 1: and you know the somewhere that you're trying to get to.
- 7:58Speaker 1: Let's say you've set a goal of for yourself, you
- 8:00Speaker 1: know where you want to get to, You got a
- 8:03Speaker 1: good idea, and you own your way to going there.
- 8:07Speaker 1: Listen to me when it gets hard, and it is
- 8:10Speaker 1: going to get hard, when it gets difficult, and it
- 8:13Speaker 1: is going to get difficult, when it becomes challenging, and
- 8:17Speaker 1: it is going to become challenging when it becomes all
- 8:21Speaker 1: three of those things. When it don't look like it's
- 8:23Speaker 1: gonna happen, don't stop and complain so much. But see,
- 8:29Speaker 1: I know he didn't bless me. But in the middle
- 8:31Speaker 1: of it, man, I felt a little heavy. And you
- 8:34Speaker 1: got to be careful when it gets hard for you,
- 8:36Speaker 1: because you'll find yourself complaining. And when you're complaining. See,
- 8:40Speaker 1: what you can't do is you can't complain so much
- 8:44Speaker 1: that you forget that the place that you're trying to
- 8:48Speaker 1: go to, you actually own your way there still. See,
- 8:53Speaker 1: don't get caught up into complaining and then lose sight
- 8:56Speaker 1: of your blessing that's actually happening. It to you? What really, man,
- 9:00Speaker 1: of all the times to register a complaint to God,
- 9:04Speaker 1: to sit up and go, hey, man, I didn't want
- 9:07Speaker 1: wanted to ease back into this thing. Ease back in, man,
- 9:11Speaker 1: you in It's it's a tornado world around you. You You
- 9:13Speaker 1: ain't got time to ease back in. You got it
- 9:15Speaker 1: going and jump back in it. It is what it is.
- 9:18Speaker 1: To whom much is given, much is required. Always appreciate
- 9:22Speaker 1: the blessings. Don't get so caught up into complaints that
- 9:24Speaker 1: you lose sight of the blessings. Man. God got a
- 9:27Speaker 1: lot for you in your life, man, but you gotta
- 9:29Speaker 1: have them two things, y'all. You gotta take that faith
- 9:32Speaker 1: and you got to apply a crazy work ethic to it.
- 9:37Speaker 1: And that creates the most opportunities for God to show
- 9:41Speaker 1: your favor. And when God starts showing your favor, man,
- 9:44Speaker 1: all of them seeds you planted, all of that, all
- 9:47Speaker 1: of that wheat you've been sewing, all of that hard
- 9:50Speaker 1: work you've been put in. God will pay it off.
- 9:52Speaker 1: And he'll pay it off in ways that you don't
- 9:54Speaker 1: even see coming. Okay, cool, you're listening. Good morning everybody,
- 10:04Speaker 1: It is the Steve Hobbing Morning Show. Monday. We're gonna

- 11:58Speaker 1: See it three times? Yeah, it ain't three the mote.
- 12:01Speaker 1: It's fine. It's fine to be in the middle in
- 12:06Speaker 1: the mirror. Plenty of time to get in there, Ladi
- 12:12Speaker 1: five times. Yeah, so I saw it great. I thought
- 12:15Speaker 1: I was great. He did. He did a really good
- 12:17Speaker 1: job of this movie. There's a good message at the
- 12:20Speaker 1: end of the movie which a lot of people will
- 12:22Speaker 1: probably the message and a message sery lives matter. What
- 12:29Speaker 1: he does scares. He scared the hell out of you.
- 12:33Speaker 1: And then at the end he gives you a message. Well,
- 12:42Speaker 1: just the end, I gotta give my life together. It
- 12:47Speaker 1: was I'm gonna get you, sucker. Remember one of those
- 12:49Speaker 1: charity movies message remember that don't drink your juice in
- 12:54Speaker 1: the hood. While being a minute to society message, you
- 13:04Speaker 1: gotta sleep with all your damn light zone because you're
- 13:06Speaker 1: gonna be scared as hell. That's one of the messages
- 13:08Speaker 1: in the mont Do that anyway. It's not scary scary scary,
- 13:16Speaker 1: it's like that scary you know. It's that's enough for me, Ja,
- 13:20Speaker 1: that's enough. That qualifies Its scary to me, Thank you?
- 13:25Speaker 1: So scary to me is Carrie. Carrie was scary. Oh
- 13:30Speaker 1: that was a serious basic ran out the theater all right, listen.
- 13:36Speaker 1: Coming up at thirty two minutes after the hour, we're
- 13:38Speaker 1: gonna talk to the fellas and ask bitter Man, of course,
- 13:41Speaker 1: is coming up right after this. You're listening to the
- 13:44Speaker 1: Stave Morning Show. It is time for ass bitter Man.
- 13:48Speaker 1: But before we get to bitter Man, guys, we want
- 13:50Speaker 1: to remind you and remind everyone to please please pray
- 13:54Speaker 1: for our neighbors in Louisiana and Mississippi and all of
- 13:58Speaker 1: those impacted by Hurricane Ida all morning long. We will
- 14:02Speaker 1: tell you how you can lend a helping hand. But
- 14:05Speaker 1: right now, of course, speaking of a Gulf coast, here
- 14:08Speaker 1: is our first bitter Man question. It's from Shara in Gulfport, Mississippi,
- 14:14Speaker 1: and Shara writes, my husband's sister came to stay with
- 14:17Speaker 1: us for a weekend, and she brought her new boyfriend.
- 14:20Speaker 1: She told her she told us he was divorced and
- 14:23Speaker 1: he wasn't, and his wife showed up at our house
- 14:25Speaker 1: late at night demanding to get in. I let her
- 14:28Speaker 1: in and she tore up our front room. We had
- 14:32Speaker 1: to call the cops and I could see how hurt
- 14:34Speaker 1: she was. I ended up going to help her post
- 14:37Speaker 1: bail and made sure she had food. It looked like
- 14:41Speaker 1: I took her side, but I just felt her pain
- 14:44Speaker 1: because I've been cheated on before. Was I out of
- 14:46Speaker 1: line for my assay? Once you have crazy inside your
- 14:55Speaker 1: house and crazy's at the door, you don't let crazy
- 14:59Speaker 1: in you You should have left her behind out that
- 15:03Speaker 1: This is your fault. Anything that happened in that house
- 15:06Speaker 1: is all your fault. You let the devil in. You
- 15:10Speaker 1: let the devil in your house. Yeah, that's right. That
- 15:12Speaker 1: devil knocked at the door and said, let me in.
- 15:15Speaker 1: And what do you do with your dumb self? You had?
- 15:21Speaker 1: You had trouble in your house already. You won't let
- 15:24Speaker 1: more trouble is yeah, damn? And then you and then
- 15:28Speaker 1: you bail crazy out? Crazy, bring crazy bill crazy though?
- 15:38Speaker 1: You don't feed nobody who tears up your damn house?
- 15:41Speaker 1: What is wrong with you man? With your family? Yeah?
- 15:45Speaker 1: Whatever you had to, don't leave it out. Then you
- 15:48Speaker 1: kind of kind of helped her, Sorry, but you did. Yeah,
- 15:53Speaker 1: I didn't mean to. I didn't mean really didn't mean to.
- 15:57Speaker 1: And that was from the heart, Jay, you really helped.
- 16:00Speaker 1: Has that happened to you before? I know? I know
- 16:05Speaker 1: not to let crazy in my damn house all right.
- 16:10Speaker 1: We're moving on to Patricia in Minnesota, who says, I'm
- 16:13Speaker 1: in my early fifties and I am a member of
- 16:15Speaker 1: a civic organization. We have a fundraising event next Saturday,
- 16:19Speaker 1: and they've asked for a significant donation from all of us.
- 16:22Speaker 1: I don't have it right now, and I feel like
- 16:24Speaker 1: if I tell them it won't go well. Even if
- 16:27Speaker 1: I did have it, I feel it's wrong to demand
- 16:30Speaker 1: a specific amount. What I won't do is be embarrassed
- 16:33Speaker 1: because I can't keep up with these other women financially.
- 16:36Speaker 1: Should I donate whatever I can? No, he ain't getting donated, damn.
- 16:40Speaker 1: You know. All you gotta do is call them up
- 16:43Speaker 1: on the phone and give them maybe two to three
- 16:45Speaker 1: calls and just why are you making event? I don't
- 16:49Speaker 1: look to him. I'm trying to and they're gonna ask
- 16:53Speaker 1: you not to come. Don't worry about it. They're gonna
- 16:58Speaker 1: they're gonna ask you not to bring you but dying there,
- 17:02Speaker 1: I'm getting ready to come on dying there right now.
- 17:06Speaker 1: I see y'all in a few minutes. I'm gonna bring
- 17:09Speaker 1: the money by your house. What's your what's your address? Again? Okay,
- 17:15Speaker 1: you've gone back to nine helsing. Okay, very good at
- 17:19Speaker 1: it though true to form. Okay, we're back on track now.
- 17:23Speaker 1: I didn't get that address. This is not the time
- 17:30Speaker 1: the year to cough right now, that's okay, and you
- 17:34Speaker 1: should know Tommy right, all right, here we go. Miss
- 17:39Speaker 1: Baker in South Philly says, I'm a fifty eight year
- 17:41Speaker 1: old married woman and I met a very nice man
- 17:44Speaker 1: and I planned to hook my daughter up with him,
- 17:46Speaker 1: but he had other plans. He told me that I'm
- 17:49Speaker 1: more his type and he wants to get to know
- 17:51Speaker 1: me better. He said it would be a sex thing
- 17:53Speaker 1: and I could call him whenever I was in the
- 17:55Speaker 1: mood and he'd make sure to come to please me.
- 17:59Speaker 1: I burst it up laughing, and that made him laugh too.
- 18:03Speaker 1: He tried to play it off like it was a prank,
- 18:06Speaker 1: but I think he was serious. Do you think it
- 18:08Speaker 1: was a prank or not? No, it wasn't. No damn prank. No,
- 18:11Speaker 1: we don't bringing on older guys don't have time to prank.
- 18:16Speaker 1: We hold on now, wait a minute, wait, just a minute. Now,
- 18:20Speaker 1: you're kind of overstepping something like I'm talking about love.
- 18:24Speaker 1: I'm talking about not fooling people on the damn phone,
- 18:29Speaker 1: playing on the telephone. I know he wanted you, He
- 18:34Speaker 1: saw what he wanted, and he was just gonna go
- 18:36Speaker 1: after Now you tell her, you can tell your daughter
- 18:39Speaker 1: something happened with the guy. You know it didn't work out. No,
- 18:43Speaker 1: just tell her that yet. But you're right, Timmy, pranking
- 18:47Speaker 1: and pranking about love a two different things. You know,
- 18:50Speaker 1: there's nothing about loving this letter. He just wanted to say, Oh,
- 18:53Speaker 1: it's gonna be some love if they hooked up. Now,
- 18:55Speaker 1: what are you talking about? Ship? He said that. He
- 18:58Speaker 1: said it would be a sex thing, and there's nothing
- 19:02Speaker 1: wrong with that. There you got And he said it
- 19:07Speaker 1: straight up. So he not as they say, beating around
- 19:09Speaker 1: the bush, not hinting. He said what he wanted. You
- 19:12Speaker 1: know what you said, Junior, He said it sex thing?
- 19:20Speaker 1: This What else would you want? I don't know what
- 19:24Speaker 1: I want from a woman? What the hell? And and
- 19:27Speaker 1: don't be telling about so what you're trying to say?
- 19:30Speaker 1: What is? He just said what he said? So what
- 19:39Speaker 1: do you what are you trying to say? I don't
- 19:41Speaker 1: really understand what you're saying. I don't get it. I want,
- 19:46Speaker 1: I want more, I want Did you explain that to
- 19:50Speaker 1: me one more time? I'm really not understanding. We're gonna
- 19:52Speaker 1: try and move on quickly to calep and Laurel, Mississippi,
- 19:55Speaker 1: who says, I'm a thirty two year old single man
- 19:57Speaker 1: and I work at a coffee shop. I've worked corporate
- 20:00Speaker 1: America for eight years and it was stressful in every way.
- 20:03Speaker 1: I quit and never looked back. I moved into a
- 20:05Speaker 1: studio apartment and sold my car. I ride my bike
- 20:07Speaker 1: most places, and I use public transportation. When I meet
- 20:11Speaker 1: black women, they treat me like I'm a loser when
- 20:14Speaker 1: they find out I don't have a car or a
- 20:16Speaker 1: high paying job. I'm comfortable with my new life, and
- 20:19Speaker 1: I want to meet a woman that understands me. Why
- 20:22Speaker 1: are women so clothes minded? Can I just say good
- 20:25Speaker 1: luck with that? Okay, good luck with that resume? Okay, okay, Yeah.
- 20:31Speaker 1: First of all, you get in the conversation you need
- 20:33Speaker 1: a car, you had that first. You can't bicycle up
- 20:38Speaker 1: to nobody and say hey, what's your name? That? Yeah,
- 20:47Speaker 1: and he's blaming this on the women. All right, thank you,
- 20:49Speaker 1: bitter man. Coming up next, Church complaints with Reverend Adnoid
- 20:53Speaker 1: and dickon death Jam. Right after this, you're listening to
- 20:57Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show coming up at the top of the hour.
- 21:00Speaker 1: Miss Anna is standing by with today's national news and
- 21:03Speaker 1: the latest on Hurricane Ida. Please pray for our neighbors
- 21:06Speaker 1: on the Gulf coast. Also an entertainment news prayer Warriors,
- 21:10Speaker 1: pray for reality star Ninie Leek's friend to the show.
- 21:14Speaker 1: Ninie's husband Greg could be losing his battle with cancer.
- 21:19Speaker 1: Nanie posted just a post yesterday she said that he
- 21:24Speaker 1: is losing his battle with cancer. He's transitioning. Also, some

- 29:52Speaker 1: his battle with colon cancer, so please pray for the
- 29:57Speaker 1: Leak's family and other entertainment news. Yeah, it really really is.
- 30:02Speaker 1: Because everybody loves Greg. We love me, of course, but
- 30:06Speaker 1: Greg was just such a special persons, such a prayer
- 30:12Speaker 1: for a miracle, that's absolute, absolutely, and other entertainment news.
- 30:18Speaker 1: After several days, Kanye West released his and heavily anticipated
- 30:23Speaker 1: album Donda. It was named after his late mother, Donda West.
- 30:27Speaker 1: And also trending, Kim Kardashian wearing a wedding dress and
- 30:31Speaker 1: sources say that this could be a sign of love
- 30:34Speaker 1: and healing. Remember, Kim and Kanye's divorce is not final. Yeah,
- 30:38Speaker 1: we saw her walk across the field Soldier Field and
- 30:41Speaker 1: that wedding gown. Yes, okay, okay, what does that mean?
- 30:47Speaker 1: What what does that mean? That's what? Who knows what? Well,
- 30:52Speaker 1: we're talking about it. That's for sure, we're talking about it.
- 30:56Speaker 1: That's true. That's something right there? Would you feel? So? Yeah?
- 31:03Speaker 1: And they do have four children, you know, they do
- 31:06Speaker 1: have four small children, so you never know what, Timmy,
- 31:09Speaker 1: she walked across Soldier Field in a wedding dress during
- 31:13Speaker 1: the big Donda finale thing. Yeah, so you're saying, what
- 31:17Speaker 1: is that way? I don't get it though, I mean,
- 31:19Speaker 1: what is this a hint that people are saying that
- 31:23Speaker 1: might be It might be that it might be. We
- 31:26Speaker 1: don't know. It's Kanye, we know, but we are talking
- 31:31Speaker 1: about it. That's the point. It's the same dude. They
- 31:34Speaker 1: want to change his name to. But she's keeping West.
- 31:38Speaker 1: She's keeping West. They have children. That's cool. Yeah. Also,
- 31:42Speaker 1: Chris Brown posted something and deleted it about Kanye. Um,
- 31:46Speaker 1: this album is causing drama and finally an entertainment news.
- 31:50Speaker 1: Actor Ed Asner, famous for his role as lou Grant,
- 31:53Speaker 1: has passed away. He was ninety one years old years old. Boy, Yeah,
- 32:00Speaker 1: he really was. I mean everybody just you just thought
- 32:03Speaker 1: he was Louke Grand. He was so good in that role.
- 32:05Speaker 1: You have hate. Yeah, that was a classic show right there. Yeah,
- 32:16Speaker 1: it really was the Mary Tyler Show. That show has
- 32:19Speaker 1: so many good characters on it, like never came in
- 32:22Speaker 1: the room, which is they just shine man. You're right,
- 32:25Speaker 1: you're right. Yeah, it was Mary Tyler Moore Show. Yeah,
- 32:33Speaker 1: we knew you, We knew you didn't know a lot
- 32:36Speaker 1: of people don't know. That's it, which y'all want me clear,
- 32:41Speaker 1: I didn't know. Yeah, he was in Roots, he was
- 32:44Speaker 1: in Roots, Household Junior, he was in Roots. He was
- 32:46Speaker 1: in Roots, and he was in Roots. He was in
- 32:50Speaker 1: Roots and up the movie up the animation. Yeah, he
- 32:54Speaker 1: was a voice of up right. If you see him, Junior,
- 32:57Speaker 1: you'll know exactly was he the old dude in them? Yea, yeah, yeah,
- 33:03Speaker 1: he was a voice. He was. But he did look
- 33:08Speaker 1: just like the guy. Okay, he looked like as all right, Yeah,
- 33:18Speaker 1: it's time now for two day's headlines. Guys. All right, everybody,
- 33:20Speaker 1: it's time for the news with miss Anne Tripp. Thank you,
- 33:24Speaker 1: thank you. Ed Asner was also once our union president. Y'all,
- 33:28Speaker 1: this is an trip with the news. Hurricane i'd have
- 33:30Speaker 1: slammed into New Orleans yesterday, sixteen years to the day
- 33:33Speaker 1: that Hurricane Katrina arrived for its deadly visit. Katrina was
- 33:36Speaker 1: a Category five i'd as a Category four brought with
- 33:40Speaker 1: it catastrophic storm surges and hurricane force sustained winds of
- 33:43Speaker 1: one hundred and fifty miles per hour. I'd ha been
- 33:46Speaker 1: downgraded to a tropical storm. Now, however, New Orleans Mayor
- 33:49Speaker 1: LaToya Cantrell urges residents to stay hunkered down. At least now,
- 33:54Speaker 1: we should see some signs that we're moving out of this,
- 33:58Speaker 1: but you are not to come out until you receive
- 34:03Speaker 1: more information from the City of New Orleans. Now is
- 34:07Speaker 1: the time that we have been preparing for and even
- 34:11Speaker 1: waiting for as it relates to Hurricane Ida. One death
- 34:14Speaker 1: is reported, was of course, lots of flooded out homes
- 34:17Speaker 1: and businesses and downpower lines and trees. The Pentagon says
- 34:21Speaker 1: that a US drone strike destroyed an explosive loaded isis
- 34:25Speaker 1: K vehicle before it could be used to carry out
- 34:27Speaker 1: yet another attack on the caval airport. Earlier in the day,
- 34:31Speaker 1: President Biden was in Delaware attending a dignified transfer ceremony
- 34:35Speaker 1: of the bodies of the thirteen American servicemen and women
- 34:38Speaker 1: killed by that isais bomb attack last week and meeting
- 34:41Speaker 1: with family members. Now with the last official evacuation day
- 34:44Speaker 1: schedule for tomorrow, National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan tells at
- 34:48Speaker 1: CNN that the US is taking every possible precaution. All
- 34:52Speaker 1: we can do is mitigate risk. We cannot eliminate it,
- 34:55Speaker 1: and we are in a period of serious danger. That's right,
- 34:58Speaker 1: they say. The fewer soldiers on the ground, the more
- 35:01Speaker 1: risk that isis K or someone else might try to
- 35:04Speaker 1: attack our Americans as they leave. The State Department spokesman
- 35:07Speaker 1: says this is interesting that about two hundred and fifty
- 35:09Speaker 1: Americans do want to leave the country, but that some
- 35:12Speaker 1: two hundred and eighty others are still undecided about leaving
- 35:16Speaker 1: or even play and to stay. Then a whole lot
- 35:19Speaker 1: of both of them are banging up against a lot
- 35:21Speaker 1: of other would be refugees, are evacuees are banging up
- 35:25Speaker 1: against the line with the border with Pakistan because they're
- 35:30Speaker 1: trying to get into Pakistan if they can't get on
- 35:31Speaker 1: a plane. Barring any serious changes, the US plans to
- 35:34Speaker 1: conclude its airlift operation and withdraw remaining American troops tomorrow Tuesday.
- 35:38Speaker 1: Like I said, here's a lais on the health of
- 35:40Speaker 1: the Reverend Jesse Jackson and Miss Jaqueline Jackson, both recently
- 35:44Speaker 1: diagnosed with COVID. The Revnd Jackson has been vaccinated and
- 35:47Speaker 1: he was now moved to a rehab center, but Missus
- 35:50Speaker 1: Jackson was not inoculated. She's in the intensive care unit
- 35:53Speaker 1: at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. Her COVID symptoms are hanging on.
- 35:57Speaker 1: The Jackson's son asked for prayers. Back to the Steve
- 36:00Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show. You're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show. Come on,
- 36:05Speaker 1: Tommy introduced your President and CEO of team Tommy, let's
- 36:10Speaker 1: go in there. Let's go. We're going deep into the mind.
- 36:12Speaker 1: Ladies and gentlemen, buckle up and hold on tight. We're
- 36:14Speaker 1: about to take a ride deep into the mind of
- 36:16Speaker 1: the one and only Jay Anthony Brown. Two things, well,
- 36:20Speaker 1: three things. It's the Jay's Five Comedy Club. It's open.
- 36:23Speaker 1: Go to my website. See who's there. I'll be in
- 36:26Speaker 1: Myrtle Beach, South Carolina at the Ashure Theater Labor Day
- 36:30Speaker 1: weekend and Riddle's Comedy Club in Chicago eleven and twelve. Whoa,
- 36:35Speaker 1: here we go. So last week we had Cheetah the
- 36:39Speaker 1: Monkey writing letters. He wrote the note. He wrote a
- 36:43Speaker 1: letter to the White Lady. Apparently she was visiting him
- 36:46Speaker 1: at the zoo. The zoo people made him, made them
- 36:49Speaker 1: break up. She wrote the monkey letter and it didn't stop.
- 36:54Speaker 1: He wrote her a letter. Now we have we have
- 36:57Speaker 1: her letter. But here in a relationship, it well, it's ended.
- 37:01Speaker 1: It's ended. It's not like Kanye and his wife. This
- 37:09Speaker 1: is over. They finished. She ain't walking across the field
- 37:11Speaker 1: and nothing like that. But here's the letter he wrote
- 37:14Speaker 1: to her. It's very it's very touching. It starts off,
- 37:18Speaker 1: dear White Lady, it starts off. It starts off, dear
- 37:23Speaker 1: white lady, because you never wrote your name down on
- 37:26Speaker 1: a piece of paper and held up to the glass.
- 37:29Speaker 1: I don't know what your name is. I will I
- 37:35Speaker 1: will add, I will address you as dear white lady.
- 37:41Speaker 1: But I would like to say you make me want
- 37:45Speaker 1: to leave the one i'm with start a new relationship. Usher.
- 37:53Speaker 1: All my life I prayed for someone like you. I
- 38:00Speaker 1: was looking forward to some sexual healing talk talk on
- 38:08Speaker 1: the monkey bars, talk on the monkey bars, amongst the
- 38:14Speaker 1: other monkeys is doing on body kissing like you? Bang
- 38:18Speaker 1: bang bang bang. Don't nobody kissing like you? He come on, monkey,
- 38:29Speaker 1: I was looking forward to licking you from your head
- 38:34Speaker 1: to the toe. And they're gonna move move from the
- 38:40Speaker 1: bed to the floor. But since I'm back with my
- 38:45Speaker 1: B A B, why mama, I guess I have to
- 38:50Speaker 1: see you next lifetime. Although although this is the end
- 38:59Speaker 1: of our relationship, I'm Alita, door open. How about that?
- 39:04Speaker 1: That's it? I'm so sonic baby, all right? Coming up
- 39:13Speaker 1: at thirty four minutes after the hour, we'll have more
- 39:15Speaker 1: of the Steve Harvey Morning Show right after the Signorati
- 39:19Speaker 1: Here Jay is ignorant. Yeah, you're listening to the Steve
- 39:24Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show. Well, what is going on? We asked
- 39:30Speaker 1: that question a lot around here. Yesterday was the sixteenth
- 39:34Speaker 1: anniversary of Hurricane Katrina, and a powerful Category four Hurricane
- 39:39Speaker 1: Ida made landfall in Louisiana. Well, Carla, you talk about
- 39:44Speaker 1: hurricanes all the time because you've been involved in them,
- 39:47Speaker 1: which renders you sort of an expert on the subject
- 39:50Speaker 1: on this show. You survived both Hurricane Katrina and Harvey.
- 39:54Speaker 1: So what can you tell us about Hurricane Ida? And
- 39:57Speaker 1: how can we help? How can we help our neighbor
- 40:00Speaker 1: in Louisiana. Hurricane Ida. Surely this is a this is
- 40:04Speaker 1: a very powerful storm and it's bad. It's bad. It's
- 40:08Speaker 1: up to possibly close to a million people without power
- 40:13Speaker 1: right now, maybe over eight hundred thousand. That's a big number.
- 40:17Speaker 1: Flash flooding, gusty winds, storm surges. It was a very
- 40:23Speaker 1: very powerful storm and it's still powerful. It's heading up,
- 40:27Speaker 1: you know, towards Tennessee, towards Mississippi, towards Alabama. It's not over,
- 40:32Speaker 1: and so we at this point, you know, we are
- 40:36Speaker 1: asking for people to pray for people on the Gulf
- 40:38Speaker 1: coasts and those that are affected by Hurricane Ida. But
- 40:43Speaker 1: at the same time, we need you guys to we
- 40:46Speaker 1: gotta help our neighbors. We can't just pray about it.
- 40:48Speaker 1: We gotta have some action with it as well. So
- 40:51Speaker 1: go to red Cross dot org you can make a donation.
- 40:54Speaker 1: We know the FEMA dot gov. We saw the President
- 40:57Speaker 1: obviously declaring a state of emergency uh in various states
- 41:01Speaker 1: that are affected by the storm, and so FEMA is
- 41:04Speaker 1: on it. If you need to see if you qualify
- 41:07Speaker 1: for assistance. Um. Some people are listening to us on
- 41:11Speaker 1: power radios. Some people in in the area listening for
- 41:14Speaker 1: wall to wall coverage, getting instructions from their local authorities.
- 41:18Speaker 1: But people are gonna have to be in the house
- 41:21Speaker 1: for at least probably to Wednesday, you know, shelter in place.
- 41:26Speaker 1: That's what that means. They could until they can access
- 41:30Speaker 1: and evaluate you see and get to you what what
- 41:32Speaker 1: the damage? What? This is unbelievable. I just can't believe that.
- 41:38Speaker 1: Sixteen years later, another category of four storm, it was
- 41:43Speaker 1: only seven what windspeed miles par hour from being a
- 41:48Speaker 1: five when it hits yeah, yeah, and looking at it,
- 41:53Speaker 1: it looked like it was more than that the way
- 41:55Speaker 1: the wind was, you know, blowing us stand. Yeah. And
- 42:00Speaker 1: speaking of Hurricane Ida, did you all see um Al
- 42:04Speaker 1: Roker from NBC The Today Show. He's sixty seven years old. Okay,
- 42:09Speaker 1: he got slammed by the wind, the rain and the waves. Yeah,
- 42:18Speaker 1: but you know, when you have stars like that, I
- 42:21Speaker 1: don't think he needs to be out there. I don't
- 42:22Speaker 1: think that. Yeah, really does it right? Well, he wanted
- 42:27Speaker 1: to go. I know that's the weather man. Yeah, yeah,
- 42:33Speaker 1: he almost got knocked down. He did post on social
- 42:35Speaker 1: media that he's okay, and it is part of his job.
- 42:38Speaker 1: I mean that's what he said. It's part of his job. Well,
- 42:41Speaker 1: you can see that from the window. I'm just so reported.
- 42:46Speaker 1: You ain't got to be on the ground. A better fact,
- 42:49Speaker 1: Jake will work if you look outside. If you guys ever,
- 42:58Speaker 1: be careful, y'all be careful, y'all be please be careful. Seriously.
- 43:02Speaker 1: This is a very serious situation we're dealing with right here.
- 43:06Speaker 1: But have you ever said to someone at work, I'm
- 43:09Speaker 1: not doing that if they've asked you to do something
- 43:12Speaker 1: that you thought was I'm not doing I just wit
- 43:15Speaker 1: a job to come here. Yes, I have said it,
- 43:20Speaker 1: I'm not doing that. You said recently, I can't believe
- 43:28Speaker 1: you had to bring that ever got five days a week. Jay,
- 43:34Speaker 1: I'm not doing it. I did it in La They
- 43:36Speaker 1: wanted me to ride it in a blimp and I
- 43:38Speaker 1: was just too scared. Like, I ain't getting no blimp.
- 43:40Speaker 1: That's not happen. I'm not doing that assignment. Tommy. We
- 43:43Speaker 1: want you to do a promotion and go up on
- 43:45Speaker 1: the blimp. I'm not getting it now. I'm not doing it, Junior.
- 43:50Speaker 1: I'm trying a lot job because I'm the youngest side
- 43:54Speaker 1: of everybody. You will bleast up at like like kiss
- 43:57Speaker 1: kiss a dolphins, dolphin for camel. No, no, but I'm black.
- 44:11Speaker 1: All right, well, all right, coming up next, we're you
- 44:14Speaker 1: gotta get out of here. Nephew Tommy is here with
- 44:17Speaker 1: the prank phone call for today. Right after this, you're
- 44:20Speaker 1: listening to the morning show coming up at the top
- 44:25Speaker 1: of the hour, right about four minutes after. It's my
- 44:27Speaker 1: Strawberry letter for today, and the subject is my husband
- 44:32Speaker 1: doesn't know his place. We'll get into that. Can you
- 44:37Speaker 1: believe this one? My husband doesn't know his place. We'll
- 44:40Speaker 1: get into that in just a little bit. But right now,
- 44:42Speaker 1: the nephews in the building with today's prank phone call,
- 44:45Speaker 1: what you got for his nev the sick and shutting
- 44:51Speaker 1: the sick like a church? Yeah, yeah, you know there's
- 44:54Speaker 1: always been a you know a church. You have a
- 44:56Speaker 1: stick and shutting and list, you know, that's that's how
- 44:59Speaker 1: we grew up. The thick and shutty in list like
- 45:03Speaker 1: like on hours at my trip. Her name was sister
- 45:05Speaker 1: you love made Steptoe, and she was always on this
- 45:08Speaker 1: and I've never ever seen her. She was just always
- 45:11Speaker 1: on the list, Sister you love made step The thick
- 45:16Speaker 1: ain't shutting in this. So this is this is the
- 45:18Speaker 1: prankis the thick and shutty and get rid of bo.
- 45:20Speaker 1: Let's go catch off. So I'm trying to be speaking hard.
- 45:25Speaker 1: You got him? How I'm doing, I ain't doing too good.
- 45:32Speaker 1: You'd have been over there praying for my wife again,
- 45:34Speaker 1: right right right, yes, sir, you came over here three
- 45:37Speaker 1: times in one week. My wife had already went through
- 45:41Speaker 1: the operation and all that. She's gonna be fine. I
- 45:43Speaker 1: don't need you over a praying three times a week,
- 45:46Speaker 1: because honestly, I think it's something else on your mind
- 45:49Speaker 1: when you come over here praying for my wife. I
- 45:51Speaker 1: ain't stupid, brody kind of hold it, brother, This buddy,
- 45:55Speaker 1: this is well. Your wife was on the sick and
- 45:59Speaker 1: shot lift. Whoever the actually come by Revern requested that
- 46:04Speaker 1: I come by. Okay, he ain't requested for you to
- 46:07Speaker 1: bring your black to my house for no three times
- 46:09Speaker 1: in one week, man, So you can cut that down
- 46:12Speaker 1: with me. You can cut that. Hold it, brother. I
- 46:16Speaker 1: came with sister Georgia the first time. The second time
- 46:21Speaker 1: I came by myself because she wasn't able to come by,
- 46:25Speaker 1: and I only stayed fifteen men, he's time. So what's
- 46:28Speaker 1: the problem because I already know what you what youre doing.
- 46:31Speaker 1: I know you're trying to holly my wife. I ain't shoot.
- 46:33Speaker 1: How put your wife? I heard my wife? Why would
- 46:36Speaker 1: I happen to your wife? She's part of already know
- 46:39Speaker 1: what you already know what you're doing. Man, you up
- 46:41Speaker 1: in here my wife? Whine, whine, whine, no body at
- 46:44Speaker 1: the house. I already know what you doing. Let me
- 46:46Speaker 1: tell you something. Keep your black away from my house?
- 46:49Speaker 1: Did you want to pray for my wife and play
- 46:51Speaker 1: my wife? Wait? You ain't wait man, Oh, you can't
- 46:56Speaker 1: talk to you about lay hand. That's what you're gonna now, brother,
- 47:01Speaker 1: ain't gonna be none of that, and ain't gonna be
- 47:03Speaker 1: none of that. You're talking to the wrong brother nine. Okay. Now,
- 47:06Speaker 1: first of all, you're not gonna disrespect me and curse
- 47:10Speaker 1: me out. Okay, that's not even the way brothers should
- 47:13Speaker 1: be talking to brothers. Second of all, if there's any
- 47:16Speaker 1: laying on the hands, it's gonna be my hand laying
- 47:18Speaker 1: on you. Okay, you ain't the lady the lady I
- 47:21Speaker 1: know trying to my wife. If I find you, you
- 47:25Speaker 1: know not you mess around with my wife, it's gonna be,
- 47:29Speaker 1: I know, trying to do crazy. I'm just leoking. I'm
- 47:32Speaker 1: gonna say it one most time. Keep your black stop
- 47:35Speaker 1: around my First of all, I told you once again
- 47:38Speaker 1: you can't be talking to me like that. Now I'm
- 47:41Speaker 1: trying to be cool about the situation because I know
- 47:44Speaker 1: you may be just upset. Okay, I can appreciate that. Okay,
- 47:49Speaker 1: I have a wife, and I'll be upset if somebody
- 47:51Speaker 1: who's coming back to them my wife, won't you won't
- 47:53Speaker 1: you and show out with your wife. I do spend
- 47:56Speaker 1: my time with my wife. I do you know what
- 47:58Speaker 1: I'm saying. No, I don't cannybody about our house. Maybe
- 48:01Speaker 1: I need to come by your house and how that's
- 48:03Speaker 1: your wife? Are you welcome to come and come lay
- 48:07Speaker 1: something over their own? Huh? God, trying to do a holder.
- 48:13Speaker 1: Holy one man, Holy one man, I told you before
- 48:16Speaker 1: being disrespected. Now that was a very idiotic statement for
- 48:20Speaker 1: you to make. Okay, that's what's gonna happen. If I
- 48:24Speaker 1: kit your black drip my house again, I'm gonna play
- 48:27Speaker 1: this man, and then I'm getting on the phone with
- 48:28Speaker 1: you, you you, your pastors, any more of them, because if
- 48:31Speaker 1: anybody come by my house again and I ain't there,
- 48:34Speaker 1: I'm kicking your black. That's a promise, you know, Just
- 48:39Speaker 1: that's it. Look him, brother, if that's gonna be any
- 48:42Speaker 1: whooping going, I'm gonna be kicking your I'm gonna lay
- 48:45Speaker 1: my hands on you and I'm gonna give you a good,
- 48:48Speaker 1: sanctified whooping, and then I'm gonna pray for you. I'm
- 48:52Speaker 1: gonna pray to heal you. I just put I'm gonna
- 48:54Speaker 1: put up, okay, because I've had it with you, you know,
- 48:58Speaker 1: And I only went by it to do visit your
- 49:00Speaker 1: wife because I was asked to go visit your wife.
- 49:03Speaker 1: Now that was a problem. You should have caused a pastor. Okay,
- 49:05Speaker 1: but you're not going to disrespect me my wife to
- 49:08Speaker 1: church on the fall life. You want to do somebody,
- 49:10Speaker 1: you can meet me any place. Well, I've been as
- 49:14Speaker 1: a matter of fact, I can go anywhere I want
- 49:16Speaker 1: it in this town. If I be at your house
- 49:17Speaker 1: talking to your wife, if the path asked me to go,
- 49:20Speaker 1: I'm gonna be there. Okay. How you you know? You
- 49:23Speaker 1: just you know it's you, just a stupid brother. Okay,
- 49:27Speaker 1: you need to come to church, need to come to church.
- 49:30Speaker 1: You the one. You need to come to church more off.
- 49:32Speaker 1: And that's the problem. You don't come to church more offten.
- 49:35Speaker 1: If you come to church more off, you wouldn't be
- 49:37Speaker 1: talking to me like that. You wouldn't be worried about
- 49:39Speaker 1: me and your wife because it must be something wrong
- 49:42Speaker 1: at your house. You'd be worried about me fooling with
- 49:44Speaker 1: your wife. Okay, so you need to check huse, Okay,
- 49:48Speaker 1: you need to check. How about that? Why don't you
- 49:50Speaker 1: do that? Why don't you? Why don't you just check up? Okay,
- 49:54Speaker 1: come and see you the one that's cheating with my wife.
- 49:57Speaker 1: That's that's all I know. Who Tommy Harmy said, you
- 50:02Speaker 1: Tommy the one Tommy said, you're the one that's cheating

- 50:56Speaker 1: I'm gonna say, brother, brother, you go man once. What
- 51:00Speaker 1: you gotta tell me? What's the baddest radio show with
- 51:02Speaker 1: the lab bad Steve Hobby Martin Show? Come on? I
- 51:07Speaker 1: love it. I love when he said you need to
- 51:09Speaker 1: come to church because you need and shut in. Yeah, yeah,
- 51:21Speaker 1: you bout a stupid black yanket. But you know what
- 51:25Speaker 1: what is amazing is how quick these Christians are to fight.
- 51:29Speaker 1: They all want to fight. Man, I know to be
- 51:35Speaker 1: so mad at Tommy's church people alone. I know you

- 55:09Speaker 1: it for you here. It is the strong very letter.
- 55:12Speaker 1: Here comes the crisy subject. My husband doesn't know his place.
- 55:17Speaker 1: Dear's Stephen Shirley. I've been married for fourteen years, and
- 55:20Speaker 1: I have to keep reminding my husband who's the boss.
- 55:24Speaker 1: When we met, he was unemployed and I hired him
- 55:27Speaker 1: as a delivery driver. I managed a pizza place at
- 55:30Speaker 1: the time, and after we started dating, I had to
- 55:34Speaker 1: let him go because he was always late for work. Presently,
- 55:37Speaker 1: I'm a regional manager for a fast food chain and
- 55:41Speaker 1: he's a waiter at a neighborhood restaurant. Our love has
- 55:44Speaker 1: survived a short his shortcomings, and I've been very patient
- 55:47Speaker 1: with him. Despite me providing a great life for him,
- 55:51Speaker 1: he still doesn't know his place. He thinks he can
- 55:54Speaker 1: go out whenever he pleases without discussing it with me first.
- 55:58Speaker 1: He washes his clothes whenever he wants to, wasting water
- 56:02Speaker 1: that he doesn't pay for. He's inconsiderate and will bring
- 56:05Speaker 1: food home for himself without saying if I have already eaten.
- 56:10Speaker 1: All I asked for is his respect and peace of mind.
- 56:14Speaker 1: That he's appreciative of all I do for him. Last Sunday,
- 56:18Speaker 1: I took a nap and he had a friend over
- 56:21Speaker 1: and they were playing the video game in the den
- 56:23Speaker 1: and it woke me up. He got upset when I
- 56:25Speaker 1: asked his friend to leave and got up in my face.
- 56:29Speaker 1: I locked myself in the bedroom because I had never
- 56:32Speaker 1: seen him so upset. The next day, he had to
- 56:35Speaker 1: be sweet to me because he needed me to help
- 56:38Speaker 1: him pay his child support for his sixteen year old sons.
- 56:42Speaker 1: He knows how to win me over by loving on
- 56:44Speaker 1: me for hours and hours and then running me some
- 56:48Speaker 1: hot bathwater. That gets me every time, but then a
- 56:52Speaker 1: few days later he gets rebellious again. I scanned his
- 56:56Speaker 1: phone bill the other day and there was a strange
- 56:58Speaker 1: number on it, so I asked him about it. He
- 57:00Speaker 1: says it was a number to a psychic. I told
- 57:03Speaker 1: him I see the future and it's not with me.
- 57:06Speaker 1: If he can't learn to stay in his place. Is
- 57:09Speaker 1: that too much to ask? What are you freaking kidding me? Lady?
- 57:17Speaker 1: This is just not right. Okay, this is a crazy
- 57:20Speaker 1: relationship you have going on here. I just can't believe
- 57:24Speaker 1: my eyes what I just read in this letter. I
- 57:26Speaker 1: think it's beyond ridiculous. I don't know if you realize this,
- 57:29Speaker 1: but your husband is not a little boy. He's not
- 57:32Speaker 1: a pet or something. You may be the one in
- 57:35Speaker 1: charge of the money, but your attitude, lady, is really
- 57:39Speaker 1: out of control. I mean, you have the most money
- 57:42Speaker 1: in the marriage. Okay, great, that doesn't give you the
- 57:45Speaker 1: right to strip him of his dignity and talk to
- 57:47Speaker 1: him all crazy and stuff and know his place and
- 57:52Speaker 1: you have to remind him who's the boss and all
- 57:55Speaker 1: of this craziness. Come on, that's not what a wife does.
- 57:59Speaker 1: You treat him like a child. Your husband doesn't do
- 58:01Speaker 1: what you're tell him because he's sick of you and
- 58:03Speaker 1: he doesn't like you. You're telling him to stay in
- 58:06Speaker 1: his place and everything. I mean, what is that? Really?
- 58:09Speaker 1: He's not your servant, and you're not his drill sergeant
- 58:12Speaker 1: or anything like that. So stop talking to him and
- 58:15Speaker 1: treating him like that. Repeat after me, Repeat after me. Okay,
- 58:18Speaker 1: because I know you're listening. He's my husband, not my child.
- 58:22Speaker 1: He's my husband, not my child, and he's not my
- 58:25Speaker 1: little pet, my little doggie. Stop that. Okay, Tommy. It's
- 58:31Speaker 1: something wrong with you. Yeah, I don't. I don't like
- 58:36Speaker 1: you a lot. Okay, I don't. I don't like you
- 58:39Speaker 1: a lot. It's something wrong with you. You talk you
- 58:42Speaker 1: know what. I got no joke for you. I'm just
- 58:43Speaker 1: gonna be real. You talk down to your husband, You
- 58:46Speaker 1: treat him like he is your son or one of
- 58:48Speaker 1: your kids. This is terrible and and basically this is
- 58:52Speaker 1: all about you. You you you. I got the power,
- 58:54Speaker 1: I got to control. I make the money, I do this,
- 58:56Speaker 1: I do that. Okay, cool, But it is their respect
- 58:59Speaker 1: level somewhere for your husband. Now. I'm not saying your
- 59:01Speaker 1: husband has not done some trifling things, because I think
- 59:03Speaker 1: he has done some things trifling. But I think you're
- 59:05Speaker 1: gonna well all over boy beyond that because of the
- 59:08Speaker 1: way you treat him and for you to just disrespect
- 59:10Speaker 1: him in front of his boy while he's at the house.
- 59:13Speaker 1: Come on, here, a grown man, how are you gonna
- 59:15Speaker 1: treat this man like this? Surely y'all got to be
- 59:18Speaker 1: able to sit out and say, okay, let's work this out.
- 59:20Speaker 1: How we're gonna treat each other. How you gonna treat me?
- 59:22Speaker 1: What I expect from you, what you expect from me.
- 59:25Speaker 1: But the way you're talking is, man, you act like
- 59:27Speaker 1: you owned I mean, you know, like he's a piece
- 59:29Speaker 1: of property of yours. Come on, lady, you gotta respect
- 59:31Speaker 1: your husband. He is, he is, he should still be
- 59:34Speaker 1: the man of this house. You are the man, the
- 59:38Speaker 1: woman and everything else. I'm done, my man, I wouldn't
- 59:43Speaker 1: be married to you. I don't. I don't like you
- 59:45Speaker 1: a lot. I don't. I really don't. I'm sorry. I
- 59:49Speaker 1: have to keep reminding my husband. Well, if I run
- 59:55Speaker 1: your water, it's gonna be some super hot ass bad water.
- 59:57Speaker 1: I tell you that you're not going to joge this
- 59:59Speaker 1: bad water I run from. But what about this line?
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: He washes his clothes whenever he wants to, wasting water
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: that he doesn't pay for it. You wash your clothes
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: if you don't wash him when you want to, come on,
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: you got to ask her to wash her clothes to
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: do the laundry. This is craziness. All right, No, your
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: draws ain't in that dry. We'll have part two of
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: the Strawberry Letter coming up in twenty three minutes after
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: the hour. We got to hear from Jay and Junior
- 1:00:32Speaker 1: as well, subject my husband doesn't know his place. We'll
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: come back right after this. You're listening to the Steve
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show. All right, guys, we're gonna recap today's
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: Strawberry Letter, the subject my husband doesn't know his place.
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: A woman wrote in she's been married to her husband, well,
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: I guess you could call him her husband for fourteen years,
- 1:00:50Speaker 1: and she says she has to keep reminding him who's
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: the boss. Um. She makes the money, so she feels
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: like she can talk to him and treat him any
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: kind of way. She manages a pizza place. When they
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: met and they started dating, then she had to let
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: him go because he was always late for work. Now
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: she's a regional manager for a fast food chain. He's
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: a waiter at a neighborhood restaurant. She said, our love
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: has survived his shortcomings, and she's been very patient with him.
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: She's provided a great life for him, but he still
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: doesn't know his place. He thinks he can go out
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: whenever he pleases without discussing it with her. He washes
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: his clothes whenever he wants to with water he doesn't
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: pay for. I mean, just on and on and on
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: and on and on. He had a friend over. They
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: were playing video games. He got upset when she asked
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: his friend to leave because she was sleeping. She locked
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: herself in the bedroom and she's never seen him that upset.
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: But the next day he was sweet and he may
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: loved her for hours and ran her bathwater. But yeah, yeah,
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: he said he's been talking to a psychic. When she
- 1:02:03Speaker 1: scanned his phone, he said, um, you know she sees
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: the future, but it's not with him. And because he
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: can't learn to stand his place, and she wants to know.
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: Is that too much to ask? So what you got?
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: What you got? Jay? Look, this lady is absolutely right,
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: Absolutely what app I'm with this lady. One. The reason
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: he acts out of place is because his ass need
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: to be in his own damn place. Okay, you need
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: to find him a place. What a little bit of
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: stuff because I know he ain't got a lot. What
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: a little bit of stuff he got, you know, and
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: had that song playing to the left, to the left.
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: Everything you own is in a box to the left.
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: He's your key partner and in the you can't run
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: nothing if you ain't bringing that in the house. Now
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: that works for women the men, and can let them
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: if you're a man and you ain't bringing nothing in
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: and you're trying to be equal and she paying you too,
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: if you don't get your ass out this house, ladies,
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: if you don't put the fool out your dad. Look,
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: I don't know where you live, but I'll drive the truck.
- 1:03:17Speaker 1: I'll come over there. And I'm sure we don't need
- 1:03:19Speaker 1: a big truck because it don't sound like he got
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: a lot, you know, he got loving the clothes, and
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: he got one damn friend. So what you need to
- 1:03:26Speaker 1: do is call that one damn friend and say, man,
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: come over here and get his stuff and put his
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: none working, none contributing to the house ass out of
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: your place. Ass ap okay, as apt go. He's sitting
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: there trying to be equal to you and you ain't,
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: and you pain. You're paying his child's ba baby, and
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: he got nerved to hup, oh oh oh if you
- 1:03:59Speaker 1: don't get your tiny check, ass about my check. My
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: husband doesn't know his place. First of all, I've been
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: trying saying like I respect everybody that worked. Okay, I
- 1:04:19Speaker 1: just want to just put that about that, because I'm
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: about to say next probably about the people. But I
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: don't care what job you have. If you're working, you
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: should have a voice now knocking it at all. Care
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: where you work at. You can have a high pan jalla,
- 1:04:31Speaker 1: but if you're getting the check for what you're doing,
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: it's legally you ain't hurting nobody. You should have a voice.
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: Now this letter, what we're talking about really twelve thousand
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: an hour versus fifteen thouars, now that's pretty where we
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: walk were talking about. I'm the manager at the pizza place.
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: Now I'm the manage at a fast food twelve dollars
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: now verse fifteen. In other words, we talked about four
- 1:04:58Speaker 1: eighty versus six hundred, four hours a week for eighty
- 1:05:05Speaker 1: verse six hundred, one thousand, nine hundre dollars a week
- 1:05:09Speaker 1: versus twenty four hundred. The numbers is too close to
- 1:05:11Speaker 1: be talking to me like this right, the numbers is
- 1:05:15Speaker 1: too I'm bringing in something I ain't. I might not
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: make it what you're making. My check is contributed. We're
- 1:05:21Speaker 1: talking about twenty three thousan dollars a year versus two day.
- 1:05:24Speaker 1: You can't talk to me, and you like distrate me,
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: and you five thousand dollars here more than me. Hold
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: on even right here in the same hole. You ain't.
- 1:05:35Speaker 1: You ain't got that much conversation. We're talking about the
- 1:05:38Speaker 1: five damn thousand, and I got to watch I wash
- 1:05:42Speaker 1: my clothes. What are you doing more than me? You
- 1:05:48Speaker 1: had me in five cool. I left your job. We
- 1:05:51Speaker 1: ain't got another job because I work in the neighborhoods.
- 1:05:54Speaker 1: Right now, I'm gonna jump in your face for five thousand.
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: If my friend over here and you told him league
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: we're playing video games, you rate twenty thousand, I'll meet
- 1:06:05Speaker 1: you five thousand. Let me come to have a setback.
- 1:06:08Speaker 1: I to be in front talking. Why are you talking money? Okay,
- 1:06:19Speaker 1: I'm at twelve. You made fifteen. Oh my god, we
- 1:06:22Speaker 1: got billed. But I gotta wash. I wash my wah
- 1:06:24Speaker 1: it too much. And then on top of that, I
- 1:06:27Speaker 1: go too many places, but I want to I worked
- 1:06:30Speaker 1: too respect to twelve. Sack on it. Let spack on
- 1:06:36Speaker 1: the twelve Calum, I love it, Junior, that's all I'm face.

- 1:07:42Speaker 1: on radio, but he's gonna be off TV. Man. I
- 1:07:45Speaker 1: like Max Kellerman. Man. I didn't even know why they're
- 1:07:48Speaker 1: splitting us up, you know, like they're looking at replace

- 1:07:54Speaker 1: not getting long the reason. No, I don't even know.

- 1:08:07Speaker 1: replacing Max Killerman, that's what Steve and they would like,
- 1:08:10Speaker 1: or Michael will Bond. So you know, either one of

- 1:08:40Speaker 1: they talking about her first take and I liked, I
- 1:08:43Speaker 1: liked the controversy in the back and forth. Does that's
- 1:08:46Speaker 1: what gets you to disagree, gree to disagree? Man, I
- 1:08:50Speaker 1: just I just I just man, Max Kellerman, I got

- 1:09:09Speaker 1: it works, it works for TV. Well, I mean, but
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: you're not saying there's something going on between them that's
- 1:09:14Speaker 1: making no but but no, I'm not making that. But
- 1:09:17Speaker 1: I'm just saying the fact that this news come out,
- 1:09:19Speaker 1: like there's so much of a part of sports, like
- 1:09:22Speaker 1: what happened, you know, like why why would he why

- 1:16:44Speaker 1: minutes after. Right after this, you're listening to show, Well
- 1:16:51Speaker 1: what is going on? We asked that question a lot
- 1:16:54Speaker 1: around here. Yesterday was the sixteenth anniversary of Hurricane Katrina,
- 1:17:00Speaker 1: and a powerful Category four Hurricane Ida made landfall in Louisiana. Well, Carla,
- 1:17:06Speaker 1: you talk about hurricanes all the time because you've been
- 1:17:09Speaker 1: involved in them, which renders you sort of an expert
- 1:17:12Speaker 1: on the subject. On this show. You survived both Hurricane
- 1:17:16Speaker 1: Katrina and Harvey. So what can you tell us about
- 1:17:18Speaker 1: Hurricane Ida? And how can we help? How can we
- 1:17:21Speaker 1: help our neighbors in Louisiana, Hurricane Ida, Shirley. This is
- 1:17:26Speaker 1: a very powerful storm and it's bad. It's up too
- 1:17:30Speaker 1: close to a million people without power right now, maybe
- 1:17:33Speaker 1: over eight hundred thousand, flash flooding, gusty winds, storm surges.
- 1:17:39Speaker 1: It was a very very powerful storm and it's still powerful.
- 1:17:43Speaker 1: It's heading up, you know, towards Tennessee, towards Mississippi, towards Alabama.
- 1:17:48Speaker 1: It's not over at this point. You know. We are
- 1:17:50Speaker 1: asking for people to pray for people on the Golf
- 1:17:53Speaker 1: Coast Hurricane Ida. But at the same time, we got
- 1:17:57Speaker 1: to help our neighbors. We can't just pray about it.
- 1:17:59Speaker 1: We gotta have some action with it as well. So
- 1:18:01Speaker 1: go to Red Cross dit org you can make a donation.
- 1:18:04Speaker 1: We know that FEMA dot gov. We saw the President
- 1:18:07Speaker 1: obviously declaring a state of emergency, uh in various states
- 1:18:12Speaker 1: that are affected by the storm, and so FEMA is
- 1:18:15Speaker 1: on it. If you need to see if you qualify
- 1:18:17Speaker 1: for assistance. Just can't believe the sixteen years later, another
- 1:18:23Speaker 1: category of four storm. It was only seven what wind
- 1:18:28Speaker 1: speed miles par hour from being a five when it
- 1:18:31Speaker 1: hits Yeah, yeah, and looking at it it looked like
- 1:18:35Speaker 1: it was more than that. The way the wind was,
- 1:18:37Speaker 1: you know, blowing us out of the stand. Yeah. And
- 1:18:41Speaker 1: speaking of Hurricane Ida, did you all see um Al
- 1:18:45Speaker 1: Roker from NBC The Today's Show. He's sixty seven years old. Okay,
- 1:18:50Speaker 1: he got slammed by the wind, the rain and the way. Yeah.
- 1:18:59Speaker 1: But you know, when you have stars like that, I
- 1:19:01Speaker 1: don't think he needs to be out there. I don't
- 1:19:03Speaker 1: think that really does it right. Well, he wanted to go,
- 1:19:09Speaker 1: I know that. Yeah, yeah, yeah, he almost got knocked down.
- 1:19:15Speaker 1: He did post on social media that he's okay, and
- 1:19:18Speaker 1: it is part of his job. I mean, that's what
- 1:19:20Speaker 1: he said, It's part of his job. Well, you can
- 1:19:22Speaker 1: see that from the window. I'm just too reported. You
- 1:19:27Speaker 1: ain't got to be on the ground. And matter of fact,
- 1:19:30Speaker 1: Jake will work if you look outside. You guys, be careful, y'all,
- 1:19:39Speaker 1: be careful, y'all be careful. This is a very serious
- 1:19:44Speaker 1: situation we're dealing with right here. Coming up, it is

- 1:20:23Speaker 1: Redcross dot org Redcross dot org to make a donation,
- 1:20:27Speaker 1: and if you were impacted, go to FEMA dot gov.
- 1:20:30Speaker 1: Fema Fema dot gov to see if you qualify for assistance. Okay, please,
- 1:20:37Speaker 1: and we're praying for you. Yes, we are sixteen years
- 1:20:41Speaker 1: after Hurricane Katrina. Here we are Hurricane Ida. Unbelievable category
- 1:20:46Speaker 1: four hit. To say the Louisiana on Sunday, I have
- 1:20:50Speaker 1: to give a shout out. I had an aunt that
- 1:20:52Speaker 1: she came and stayed with me on Saturday. She was
- 1:20:55Speaker 1: in a car for over twelve hours trying. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:21:00Speaker 1: just I know some people did sixteen from from from
- 1:21:04Speaker 1: New Orleans to Houston sixty Yeah, that's that's how it
- 1:21:07Speaker 1: backed up. Yeah, that it order going west. Absolutely, So, yeah,
- 1:21:12Speaker 1: she stayed with me and then she went to stay
- 1:21:14Speaker 1: stay with us and stay with her son who lives
- 1:21:16Speaker 1: in San Antonio. So she you know, was able to
- 1:21:19Speaker 1: get out an evacud. Yeah, my brother in law, my
- 1:21:23Speaker 1: husband's little brother is there and got hit. He had
- 1:21:27Speaker 1: to work and some damage done to his home. So again,
- 1:21:31Speaker 1: pray for our neighbors, Pray for our friends in New Orleans.
- 1:21:34Speaker 1: But do what you can't give back, because New Orleans
- 1:21:37Speaker 1: is it's an important city. It's a big port there,
- 1:21:40Speaker 1: and when that city is in trouble, it affects all
- 1:21:43Speaker 1: of us. It affects And while you're praying, don't get Haiti.
- 1:21:47Speaker 1: Haiti still needs you. That's right, that's right. That a
- 1:21:51Speaker 1: country in La shedrid entertainer and a bunch of other comedians,
- 1:21:56Speaker 1: you know, to raise money for Haiti. So that's still ongoing.
- 1:22:00Speaker 1: We need you all to help everywhere. We got to
- 1:22:02Speaker 1: help join each other mankind. And that's right. We're going
- 1:22:06Speaker 1: so much right now, we really really are. Yeah, all right,
- 1:22:11Speaker 1: feel good to see a real president addressing the issue
- 1:22:14Speaker 1: by accepting responsibility. Was talking about wrong right right there
- 1:22:19Speaker 1: at female headquarters right there, yes right there, wasn't throwing paper,
- 1:22:24Speaker 1: tis ye, Compassion, empathy and the people in Afghanistan too,
- 1:22:30Speaker 1: we hope that they get out. Oh yeah, yeah, it's
- 1:22:34Speaker 1: so much going on. It's just so much that's going on.
- 1:22:37Speaker 1: Thank you to our our servicemen and marine and yeah,
- 1:22:44Speaker 1: that's putting your lives on the line every single Yeah.
- 1:22:47Speaker 1: All right, well you mentioned the president. Um, well, he
- 1:22:51Speaker 1: is trending right now for falling asleep during a meeting
- 1:22:55Speaker 1: with Israel's Prime Minister Natalie Bennett. However, reports are debunking
- 1:22:59Speaker 1: though rumors and saying that the president did not fall asleep.
- 1:23:03Speaker 1: While everyone had their attention on his eyes, many failed
- 1:23:06Speaker 1: to notice that the president's fingers were continually in motion.
- 1:23:10Speaker 1: And um so here's the question for for us the guys.
- 1:23:14Speaker 1: Have you guys ever fallen asleep during a meeting at work? Radio?
- 1:23:22Speaker 1: First day I worked, I went to sleep. Ye on
- 1:23:25Speaker 1: your first day? I didn't know y'all start this early.
- 1:23:31Speaker 1: Sleep sneaks up on you. You know, you know what
- 1:23:33Speaker 1: I mean. Sleep will get you when you ain't ready
- 1:23:35Speaker 1: for sleep, It's gonna get you in. And you know
- 1:23:37Speaker 1: he's been he's been a busy man, so you know
- 1:23:40Speaker 1: he needs and y'all, y'all ain't never been president before.
- 1:23:42Speaker 1: You don't know what kind of stressed. That's a lot
- 1:23:45Speaker 1: of stress. But my point is it doesn't matter if
- 1:23:48Speaker 1: your president or not. We all fell asleep at work.
- 1:23:52Speaker 1: We just got rid of a guy who was sleep
- 1:23:54Speaker 1: before damn years. So hey at the wheel man, have
- 1:24:02Speaker 1: y'all feel asleep? And somebody asked you a question and
- 1:24:04Speaker 1: you gave her answer. They had nothing to do with it.
- 1:24:09Speaker 1: Just wake up, like yeah, yeah, yes, you don't take
- 1:24:14Speaker 1: a nap. The nap takes you. You're right right right,
- 1:24:18Speaker 1: and don't don't let it be a presentation. I did
- 1:24:22Speaker 1: a presentation with Steve. What time was the lights? I
- 1:24:25Speaker 1: had to turn it off to show a graph. He
- 1:24:28Speaker 1: was like, well you didn't done it? Naep. Yes, I
- 1:24:33Speaker 1: was on the phone the other night. This has nothing
- 1:24:36Speaker 1: to do with work, but it just reminded me. I
- 1:24:38Speaker 1: was on the phone the other night talking to my
- 1:24:40Speaker 1: girlfriend Debbie, and um, all of a sudden, she said,
- 1:24:45Speaker 1: what was that noise? And I said, oh, oh, oh
- 1:24:49Speaker 1: that's a bear. That was a bear in the room.
- 1:24:55Speaker 1: My butt completely off. I heard that. It woke me up.
- 1:25:01Speaker 1: It was like like like that she head back, Yeah,
- 1:25:07Speaker 1: that's that's one you can hear yourself sometimes you're like me,
- 1:25:11Speaker 1: that was me. I was like, that was that had
- 1:25:14Speaker 1: to be a bear? No, that was a bear. Lets
- 1:25:17Speaker 1: you wake up and somebody looking at you, and then
- 1:25:18Speaker 1: you asked that stupid question. Was I sleep? Yeah, yes,
- 1:25:22Speaker 1: yes that's it, Jay? Was I sleep and Shirley sleep talk?
- 1:25:26Speaker 1: And so she's having full blown conversations and you're just
- 1:25:32Speaker 1: looking at her and you just want to elbow her.
- 1:25:34Speaker 1: What dude, what are you talking with? Get up? So?
- 1:25:40Speaker 1: How many church services have y'all feel asleepy rivers from
- 1:25:46Speaker 1: going to sleep? Man? Yeah? Yeah, church. You never though
- 1:25:52Speaker 1: sure that you can't be this problem. There was plenty
- 1:25:55Speaker 1: of movies though, Yeah, all sleep at the movies too,
- 1:25:59Speaker 1: though you don't watch the movie the movie watch you right?
- 1:26:05Speaker 1: What about school Fleeing? R B? What was it? Jake
- 1:26:13Speaker 1: who was hit up the desk? Bronnma smiles? What is it?
- 1:26:22Speaker 1: Tommy Thomas smiles. You're not gonna pass at all? Of course.
- 1:26:29Speaker 1: Our most famous sleep story was when Steve fell fell
- 1:26:32Speaker 1: asleep in Vegas at that time with the clients on
- 1:26:36Speaker 1: the air with the microphone in his hand, and fell
- 1:26:38Speaker 1: out his hand. So y'all gonna get off our president
- 1:26:44Speaker 1: because we all do it. We all do it, all right, Jay,
- 1:26:47Speaker 1: take us home? All right, everybody? Thank you for all
