- 0:13Speaker 1: them more like the milking bu bus things. And it's
- 0:20Speaker 1: good Steve listening together for ste don't joy. You gotta

- 1:44Speaker 1: turn out, then to turn the water of the water go.
- 1:55Speaker 1: Come come on your baby now, uh huh, I shall will.
- 2:03Speaker 1: Good morning everybody. You're listening to the voice, Come on now,
- 2:08Speaker 1: dign want and only Steve Harvard got what radio show man?
- 2:15Speaker 1: What you're doing with it? Trying to do the very
- 2:18Speaker 1: very best I can with it? I really am. You know,
- 2:21Speaker 1: I get tired sometimes on my journey. I'm not gonna
- 2:24Speaker 1: kid you. UM. Trying to make something about yourself is
- 2:30Speaker 1: a task. UM. If you want to attempt to do
- 2:35Speaker 1: something and and and understand going in that that. If
- 2:41Speaker 1: the thing you're trying to do is to improve yourself,
- 2:45Speaker 1: to better your position, to better your relationship, your family, anything,
- 2:51Speaker 1: you're trying to be a better you. You're trying to
- 2:54Speaker 1: make more money, you're trying to get it together, you're
- 2:58Speaker 1: trying to change if any of those things are in
- 3:03Speaker 1: your hopes and dreams. Know this right here, you are
- 3:08Speaker 1: about to face some challenges. But you might as well
- 3:13Speaker 1: go ahead anyway and face those challenges, because if you don't,
- 3:18Speaker 1: you have a whole other set of challenges to face.
- 3:22Speaker 1: You know. It's a it's a It's an amazing thing. Man,
- 3:25Speaker 1: How people sit around and they watch other people strike
- 3:29Speaker 1: out to become successful. They sit in the stands watching
- 3:32Speaker 1: these people play out these games, and they and they,
- 3:36Speaker 1: and they criticize, They boo, they laugh at their efforts
- 3:39Speaker 1: and everything, and they talk about the fairies. He missed
- 3:43Speaker 1: that game when it shot. Boy, he sucked. Man, he
- 3:46Speaker 1: did this. He ain't worth that. I hear people who
- 3:50Speaker 1: sit in stands who criticize people who are out there
- 3:55Speaker 1: on the playing field. Now, when you're on the plane,
- 4:00Speaker 1: feel you have a set of challenges in front of you.
- 4:03Speaker 1: You're going to be open to criticism. You're going to
- 4:07Speaker 1: be open to ridicule. You're going to be talked about
- 4:11Speaker 1: when you don't know the people who are talking about you.
- 4:15Speaker 1: Now here's the upside to being the player on the
- 4:22Speaker 1: field that's facing all the challenges, to criticisms, the laughing,
- 4:26Speaker 1: the joke, to being talked about. He has something going
- 4:31Speaker 1: for him. This person, boy, woman, child, girl, man has
- 4:38Speaker 1: an opportunity to win. They have an opportunity to win.
- 4:45Speaker 1: And then the game of life. Just because you lose
- 4:50Speaker 1: one of the games, or you lose one of the matches,
- 4:53Speaker 1: it don't mean you've lost. You don't get put out.
- 4:57Speaker 1: You keep playing. And when you're playing, here's the upside.
- 5:03Speaker 1: You have the opportunity to win. And but guess what,
- 5:06Speaker 1: You're gonna win some of the matches. You're gonna win
- 5:08Speaker 1: some of the points. You're gonna make some of the dunks.
- 5:10Speaker 1: You're gonna hit some of them over the wall. You're
- 5:12Speaker 1: gonna hit some of them out the park. You're gonna
- 5:14Speaker 1: score some goals. You will if you're playing the game.
- 5:20Speaker 1: Here's a problem with the people who don't face the criticism,
- 5:25Speaker 1: who nobody boos or cheers for, who sits in the
- 5:29Speaker 1: stands and knows neither victory nor defeat. Those people, without
- 5:38Speaker 1: realizing it, are facing a set of challenges also. And
- 5:43Speaker 1: the challenges they're facing is how I'm gonna live with myself,
- 5:49Speaker 1: What I'm gonna do? Now, what direction am I going in?
- 5:57Speaker 1: Where am I gonna live? Wonder what job will hire me?
- 6:05Speaker 1: Wonder if I can get paid for criticizing. Oh woe
- 6:09Speaker 1: is me. I can't find the purpose in my life.
- 6:16Speaker 1: And man, I'm just waking up in a state of confusion.
- 6:18Speaker 1: I don't know what to do. Now, let me ask
- 6:22Speaker 1: you something which one of them said, of challenges you
- 6:25Speaker 1: rather be faced with. Because if I'm on the flow playing,
- 6:29Speaker 1: if I'm on the field playing, if I'm out on
- 6:32Speaker 1: the court playing, then guess what I got a chance
- 6:36Speaker 1: at winning? But guess what I'm doing every day while
- 6:39Speaker 1: I'm playing. I'm strategizing. I'm waking up with a purpose.
- 6:43Speaker 1: I'm waking up trying to come up with another angle.
- 6:47Speaker 1: I'm in pursuit of a goal every single day, versus
- 6:54Speaker 1: the people in the stands who know neither victory nor defeat.
- 7:03Speaker 1: Get in the game. Face the challenges. Better yourself, better
- 7:09Speaker 1: your wife, better your children, better your condition, better your
- 7:11Speaker 1: employment status, better your job, better your career. Take a shot.
- 7:15Speaker 1: Come on, man, what you're waiting on? Because the alternative
- 7:19Speaker 1: is to watch other people play the game? You know
- 7:23Speaker 1: what I just do? Sometimes Sometimes I just I get
- 7:27Speaker 1: Forbes magazine or Money magazine, or sometimes I still grab
- 7:31Speaker 1: a copy of rob Report. I just flipped through it
- 7:35Speaker 1: just to see. I used to get these this book
- 7:37Speaker 1: called Unique Homes. Unique Homes is a magazine that just
- 7:41Speaker 1: has a lot of extravagant houses that's on sale across
- 7:45Speaker 1: the country, across the world. I used to just flip through. Man,
- 7:49Speaker 1: let me just see, man, what the people that's playing
- 7:52Speaker 1: the game out there doing. Stop watching other people become
- 7:56Speaker 1: successful when you could very easily be you if you
- 8:00Speaker 1: make the decision. But when you make the decision to
- 8:03Speaker 1: become successful, get ready for a series of challenges. I
- 8:07Speaker 1: think it's more difficult not to accept the challenge. I
- 8:12Speaker 1: think it's for me. This is just for me. It
- 8:14Speaker 1: may not be the case for you. For me, I
- 8:16Speaker 1: think it's far more difficult to wake up and just
- 8:18Speaker 1: see how life gonna go today, because man, it could
- 8:21Speaker 1: just deal you any kind of hand today. You understand,
- 8:27Speaker 1: I don't like, you know, spades. Let's let's talk a
- 8:30Speaker 1: card game, folks, the game of spades. Really, man, it
- 8:34Speaker 1: ain't a whole lot you can do if you don't
- 8:35Speaker 1: get no spades. Really, it's a little couple of little
- 8:39Speaker 1: strategies you've gotta do. But you can have all this
- 8:41Speaker 1: age keen queen diamond, all you want but man, you
- 8:44Speaker 1: ain't got no spades. They're cutting them. You're in trouble.
- 8:48Speaker 1: Be it whist different game. You can create what's in
- 8:52Speaker 1: your hand. You got dealt a hand too, But you
- 8:55Speaker 1: can create a hand. You can call a trump. You
- 8:57Speaker 1: can make diamonds your spades. You can make hard to
- 9:01Speaker 1: clubs your spades. That's what I'm saying. That's what it is.
- 9:04Speaker 1: You can do something with it. It's a different game, man.
- 9:07Speaker 1: You can strategize. I would rather have a say so
- 9:10Speaker 1: in my life than to wake up every day and
- 9:12Speaker 1: just see how it's going. I think it's more difficult
- 9:15Speaker 1: to not accept the challenge to be something than it
- 9:18Speaker 1: is to accept the challenge to be something. I think
- 9:21Speaker 1: it's more difficult to sit around and not be nothing.
- 9:24Speaker 1: I think it's harder to watch everybody's life going somewhere
- 9:27Speaker 1: but mine. I think it would be very difficult for
- 9:29Speaker 1: me to sit here and hear them talking about other
- 9:32Speaker 1: people and never mention my name. I would be difficult
- 9:35Speaker 1: for me to see everybody rising getting promotions accept me.
- 9:39Speaker 1: That would be difficult for me. It may not be
- 9:41Speaker 1: for you, but for me it would be quite challenging.
- 9:44Speaker 1: I would rather accept the challenge of making something out
- 9:47Speaker 1: of my life than to sit there and criticize those
- 9:51Speaker 1: and then watch and see how my life just may go. Okay,
- 9:55Speaker 1: just a thought. Today you're listening, ladies and gentlemen, the
- 10:03Speaker 1: time has come. It is actually beset upon us. It
- 10:08Speaker 1: is morning. It is the dawning of a new day.
- 10:12Speaker 1: This is a show that is gard to one thing, greatness.
- 10:20Speaker 1: My job, our commitment on this show is to motivate, inspire, inform,
- 10:30Speaker 1: and when we got to do that, entertained. Ladies and gentlemen.
- 10:36Speaker 1: This is the Steve Harvey Morning Show. The following people
- 10:44Speaker 1: are what makes the show tick. Ladies and gentlemen. Shirley Strawberry,
- 10:50Speaker 1: Good morning, Steve, thank you, ladies and gentlemen. Carlin for real,
- 10:55Speaker 1: good morning. What's happening Krew. Now the ladies and gentlemen stop.
- 11:00Speaker 1: Stuff stops after that because we get into the ignorant
- 11:04Speaker 1: portion of the show that though animal trainers, bird watchers,
- 11:14Speaker 1: and dog lovers. Junior, I really like the pink suit.
- 11:20Speaker 1: If you're not gonna use it, give it to me.
- 11:22Speaker 1: I really like that. One couldn't gonna have a problem.
- 11:26Speaker 1: Ladies and gentlemen. Nephew, Tommy, I mean, no, no, no,
- 11:31Speaker 1: I'm out of order. No no, sorry, seniority, no no, seniority,
- 11:36Speaker 1: Jay Anthony Brown, no stop completely overt Okay, Okay, here
- 11:41Speaker 1: we go. The person that we very rarely get to
- 11:44Speaker 1: hear from. He's here today on one of the days
- 11:48Speaker 1: that he do. Come, ladies and gentleman Jay Anthony Brown,
- 11:57Speaker 1: I'm here. That's why I said anam trainers, dog lovers
- 12:01Speaker 1: at bird watches, because it is ignorance right here, Lady
- 12:05Speaker 1: Jim mc kinga prank's nephew, Tommy, stop tip Monday moaning,
- 12:10Speaker 1: Monday moaning, Monday after Mother's Day. Happy, everybody's got the thing,
- 12:17Speaker 1: but some just don't know how to handle men. You're
- 12:23Speaker 1: the only one I see. Well, Happy Mother's Day, but
- 12:29Speaker 1: ladd Mother's Day to the mother's on the show Shirley
- 12:31Speaker 1: Strawberry and CALLI for real. Happy Mother's Day, Ladies, Thank you?
- 12:36Speaker 1: Did you all enjoy your day yesterday? Yes? Good God,
- 12:40Speaker 1: thank you, thank you, thank you? Good good, good good good.
- 12:45Speaker 1: What about your wife, Marjorie? Did she enjoy her day?
- 12:48Speaker 1: I saw some stuff on social media, surprise, some good
- 12:53Speaker 1: heavy landing out, landing out. We had an amazing family brunch, though, Okay,
- 13:03Speaker 1: boy had a catering that came in and lawed him.
- 13:08Speaker 1: Mercy was good. Chee cater I have some macaroni and cheese.
- 13:15Speaker 1: I'm going back up to the house after I get through,
- 13:20Speaker 1: and I'm gonna heat that up from yesterday. You got
- 13:24Speaker 1: your mind? Yeah, ready for some good old leftovers? Yes,
- 13:34Speaker 1: all right, coming up, We're going to talk to the
- 13:37Speaker 1: CLO Chief Love Officer, Steve Harvey. At thirty two minutes
- 13:40Speaker 1: after right after this You're Listening show, we talked a
- 13:46Speaker 1: little bit about Mother's Day. You had a great Mother's Day, Carl,
- 13:49Speaker 1: You said, yes, I had a great one. You're welcome,
- 13:52Speaker 1: and hopefully all the ladies listening out there had a wonderful, wonderful,
- 13:56Speaker 1: wonderful mother's day. Um, all right, listen, it is time
- 14:01Speaker 1: now for the CLO the Chief Love Officer, Steve Harvey.
- 14:05Speaker 1: This one is from CC in Dallas. CC writes, I'm
- 14:09Speaker 1: in love. I'm in a love triangle with a man
- 14:11Speaker 1: that's ten years younger than me and a man that's
- 14:14Speaker 1: eighteen years older than me. Um, they both serve their purpose,
- 14:20Speaker 1: if you know what I mean. But the young man
- 14:22Speaker 1: wants all of my time. He wants to stay at
- 14:25Speaker 1: my house and drive my car, and he expects me
- 14:27Speaker 1: to be a cougar. My sugar daddy is not pleased
- 14:29Speaker 1: when he can't come over. He popped up before and
- 14:32Speaker 1: I had to ignore him, so he won't think it's
- 14:35Speaker 1: cool to do that. He takes great care of me,
- 14:38Speaker 1: but his son is a better lover. Yes, it's a
- 14:43Speaker 1: father and son that I'm dealing with. Cuts one of
- 14:47Speaker 1: them off. Come on, ClOH well, Trinky, you know you
- 15:02Speaker 1: you in real, real dangerous territory. You have not mentioned
- 15:08Speaker 1: whether they know about each other or not, and I'm
- 15:12Speaker 1: pretty sure that they don't, or at least I know
- 15:18Speaker 1: the daddy don't know about the son. Now, a trifling
- 15:22Speaker 1: son could know about the daddy, But you said something
- 15:26Speaker 1: in your letter that's interested. The younger one wants to
- 15:29Speaker 1: drive your car and all wear his damn car. And
- 15:35Speaker 1: then the sugar daddy is actually taking care of business.
- 15:40Speaker 1: Now did she say which one of them takes care
- 15:42Speaker 1: of frying the bacon better? Is it the young boy
- 15:45Speaker 1: the old dude? I'm pretty sure it's Yeah, I'm pretty
- 15:51Speaker 1: sure it's the young dude, or else you'd have everything
- 15:54Speaker 1: wrapped up in the old dude. So I have no
- 15:59Speaker 1: advice for you. You're going to hell for this. You've
- 16:04Speaker 1: got an open invitation right now. It looks like you're
- 16:07Speaker 1: gonna have a front row seat, and I don't know
- 16:10Speaker 1: how you think this is gonna work it. Should you
- 16:13Speaker 1: get rid of one of them? Yes, you should before
- 16:16Speaker 1: they find out, because that's a dangerous situation to be ansisted,
- 16:21Speaker 1: A very dangerous situation. Why you doing that? Might I
- 16:25Speaker 1: add that you are a bit trifling? I just want
- 16:29Speaker 1: to throw that out there. I don't know you, but
- 16:31Speaker 1: that's a little trifling because if a man was doing that,
- 16:35Speaker 1: wouldn't he be trifling if he was seeing the woman
- 16:40Speaker 1: and her daughter simultaneously, So I'm pretty sure he would
- 16:46Speaker 1: be trifling. So I'm gonna have to label you as
- 16:48Speaker 1: trifling too. I don't know what the thrill is for
- 16:53Speaker 1: you to be pulling this off, but if you're going
- 16:55Speaker 1: to do to men, and that's your option, you could
- 16:59Speaker 1: get another, don't do it. Don't have to be this
- 17:01Speaker 1: man's son. So that, even by my standards, Teresa and
- 17:13Speaker 1: s that's low. Says. I'm in my late forties and
- 17:18Speaker 1: I think I'm going to have to divorce my husband
- 17:20Speaker 1: of four years I'm his third wife, and one of
- 17:22Speaker 1: his exes told me she prayed for me when I
- 17:25Speaker 1: ran into her recently. He was a perfect man until
- 17:28Speaker 1: a year ago when he stopped bathing, He stopped helping
- 17:31Speaker 1: out around the house, and he stopped going to church
- 17:33Speaker 1: online with me. His blood sugar has been low lately,
- 17:37Speaker 1: so I thought his behavior was because of that. But
- 17:39Speaker 1: I don't think that said, I don't think this. I
- 17:42Speaker 1: don't know this man anymore. What should I do? Well,
- 17:45Speaker 1: you could have you could have low blood sugar, sugar
- 17:50Speaker 1: and you and you can quit going to church online.
- 17:53Speaker 1: Damn bathing, thank you created. Yeah, that's the problem, deal breaker.
- 17:59Speaker 1: I know a lot of people don't go to church online.
- 18:02Speaker 1: I know a lot of people would diabetes, andalot, blood
- 18:06Speaker 1: pressure I got. I know people with high blood pressure. Yeah,
- 18:09Speaker 1: I've been bored inline myself. I'm aware of that. It's
- 18:12Speaker 1: the stopping bathing that that I don't get that connect
- 18:17Speaker 1: at all. I got you tired to church online, I
- 18:22Speaker 1: got it. Maybe you don't like the maybe you don't
- 18:24Speaker 1: like zoom ministry. I got that. Maybe you like live church,
- 18:29Speaker 1: I got that. I got I got you tired of
- 18:32Speaker 1: taking your medication. I got that sometimes I don't feel
- 18:35Speaker 1: like taking my supplements. I got it, I got it.
- 18:38Speaker 1: But when your ass get tired of washing, I'm talking
- 18:43Speaker 1: about just you know, just it's just something about washing
- 18:46Speaker 1: that's so damn necessary. I wouldn't even road in about
- 18:53Speaker 1: the church and the medicine because we didn't get him
- 18:57Speaker 1: back in church. Wedn't get him back on this maid's
- 19:00Speaker 1: one trip to the hospital to get his ass right
- 19:02Speaker 1: back on the maids. Oh man, you know, and one
- 19:06Speaker 1: big problem in his life. I turn him right on
- 19:08Speaker 1: back to the Lord. We can do that. I don't
- 19:11Speaker 1: know what we got to do to convince him to wash. Yeah,
- 19:16Speaker 1: and this has got to be why she's his third wife, Okay.
- 19:22Speaker 1: Gabby and Gatlinburg, Tennessee, says, my parents are very religious,
- 19:27Speaker 1: and I'm a Sunday school teacher at our church, and
- 19:29Speaker 1: I'm in the special events choir. I'm also a tattoo
- 19:32Speaker 1: artist and I'm covered in tattoos. I drink on the
- 19:35Speaker 1: weekends and I brew beer in my garage. I've kept
- 19:38Speaker 1: my dad from going into my garage for years, and
- 19:41Speaker 1: I've covered up my body so my mom won't be embarrassed.
- 19:44Speaker 1: I'm turning thirty soon. And I am ready to stop
- 19:46Speaker 1: hiding from my parents. How do I break it to them? Wow, well,
- 19:52Speaker 1: you can't hide in Gatlinburg. I can tell you that
- 19:54Speaker 1: right now. I've I've been through. There ain't no hiding
- 20:01Speaker 1: in Gatlinburg. I don't know how you didn't fake the
- 20:03Speaker 1: funk down at the church this long with all them
- 20:05Speaker 1: damn tattoos. You must be going to the church as amish,
- 20:10Speaker 1: so that's the only way you hide all them. You
- 20:14Speaker 1: got on a bonnet, a gown, the the high top
- 20:17Speaker 1: boots and some Leah Todds and you're making moonshine. You're
- 20:23Speaker 1: just little duvall. You're just living your best life. So
- 20:28Speaker 1: I don't know what to tell you. Yeah, she making moonshine?
- 20:34Speaker 1: What what did she call it? In the letter? Beer
- 20:37Speaker 1: beer girls? Stop? Ain't nobody no damn homemade bill you
- 20:41Speaker 1: in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. That's moonshine? Stopped this Who the hell
- 20:46Speaker 1: making bear at the house? Beer cheap? All right? See?
- 20:50Speaker 1: Thank you? Coming up next, church complaints Robin Motown taking
- 20:53Speaker 1: death jam in the building. Right after this, You're listening
- 20:58Speaker 1: show coming up at the top of the hour. Miss
- 21:01Speaker 1: Anna standing by with our national news and entertainment news.
- 21:05Speaker 1: We'll talk about Saturday Nights versus battle between Escape and
- 21:09Speaker 1: s WV. Right now, get ready, Carlo, Right now, it
- 21:15Speaker 1: is time for some laughter and some fun here at
- 21:17Speaker 1: church complaints with Reverend Motown and Deacon death Jam. Excuse me,
- 21:23Speaker 1: we we gavel this morning as usual. Wow, to pontificate
- 21:35Speaker 1: du reminosities of a congregation that has gone duv rye ry.
- 21:46Speaker 1: That's a university and it also means a street amen
- 21:55Speaker 1: as in Australia University. That's why I'm tied together higher
- 22:03Speaker 1: learning with morality teaching. And now we are going to
- 22:12Speaker 1: hell or complaints. Yeah, brought to you by the complaint
- 22:19Speaker 1: mouse to himself or deepon Bill Jail. Good morning, passed it. Listen,
- 22:27Speaker 1: We're gonna get down to it. Janet Jenkins said that
- 22:30Speaker 1: he cleaned out the baptismal pool and found a lot
- 22:32Speaker 1: of girdles, brides and stockings and some baby all and
- 22:36Speaker 1: tacum powder. What we want to know is have you
- 22:39Speaker 1: been having baptismal pool parties? Why the church has been down?
- 22:43Speaker 1: What's going on? That's absolutely not I don't know if
- 22:46Speaker 1: you were well, but there are a lot of women
- 22:50Speaker 1: were baptizing you, and once we lower you down, when
- 22:54Speaker 1: you come up, they often time come up without things
- 23:01Speaker 1: pastor when that water not only washes souls, it washes
- 23:08Speaker 1: clothing items off. Well, how many times are you dipping
- 23:12Speaker 1: in pastor? Is it one out of three? It just
- 23:15Speaker 1: one time? There's all we do, world. I don't know
- 23:18Speaker 1: how they're getting in there myself, puss, no ideal? Alright, alright,
- 23:25Speaker 1: moving right along. A lot of this is gonna be
- 23:28Speaker 1: rough on me, pass bad with me. A lot of
- 23:31Speaker 1: the quilling workers who are not quilling because of COVID,
- 23:37Speaker 1: they are now quilling. Would you be willing to hook
- 23:41Speaker 1: them up with the deacons so they can get some help?
- 23:46Speaker 1: So these women who are willing can't work. I have
- 23:49Speaker 1: a complaint, now, hard dare you or use or complaint
- 23:57Speaker 1: with that many ws in it? You know you have
- 24:02Speaker 1: a speech impitome and you know that. So we're going
- 24:08Speaker 1: to have to change the willing workers too, to the
- 24:13Speaker 1: Reddy the Reddy crew. I can't say now, my quilling quarkers, No,
- 24:21Speaker 1: you just say the ready litten ready said ready, crewe, crewe.
- 24:31Speaker 1: No longer will you have to say willing? No longer?
- 24:35Speaker 1: Will I have to say quilling workers quarkers. See that
- 24:43Speaker 1: that hesitation, it always grabs. Yeah, so they the ready crew.
- 24:49Speaker 1: They're not the willing workers anymore. I don't Yeah, we're
- 24:54Speaker 1: they're just off duty too, after the COVID the pandemic.
- 24:56Speaker 1: And let me make my notes. No, mom, really, all right,
- 25:07Speaker 1: let's keep on money. Does it have an eight in it?
- 25:17Speaker 1: It's kind of attention that you have been selling the
- 25:19Speaker 1: help feed the homeless meals? Where is this money going?
- 25:25Speaker 1: They want to know that our members are asking about that. Well,
- 25:28Speaker 1: I'm trying to help the homeless, about providing the food.
- 25:31Speaker 1: But we got to help church too. But they're homeless.
- 25:34Speaker 1: They don't really have money passed. We're supposed to give
- 25:37Speaker 1: them these meals for front. Well, you know we can't
- 25:42Speaker 1: have both ministries. Now, we we feed the huger, we
- 25:45Speaker 1: help the homeless. We don't be people the church is
- 25:52Speaker 1: too much. Yeah, that's that's too much. We we what
- 25:55Speaker 1: is our mission? Hell? We feed there the homeless, and
- 26:01Speaker 1: I got some food for you, and you got the money.
- 26:03Speaker 1: Then I didn't help the homeless with the hungry, but
- 26:07Speaker 1: I got the money. Then if you're still gonna be homeless,
- 26:13Speaker 1: but you you feln be homely too, No, man, I mean,
- 26:20Speaker 1: Luke Hill. I mean sometimes you got some situations that
- 26:22Speaker 1: hand in hand, all right. I know, lives of homeless
- 26:30Speaker 1: people that are just working their tails off and doing
- 26:32Speaker 1: a wonderful job or surviving. All right, we need we
- 26:41Speaker 1: gonna need a chin strap on Sister Brenda Davis's wig.
- 26:45Speaker 1: It keeps filing off and on the sentiment and she
- 26:48Speaker 1: looks like brother Davis when it comes out. We're not
- 26:51Speaker 1: gonna have to worry about that. There's a new thing
- 26:54Speaker 1: out called Gorilla Blue that's been out down at home
- 27:03Speaker 1: Depot the other day had picked up a case. That's
- 27:08Speaker 1: a shame too, all right, Brenda Davis, we said, glue
- 27:15Speaker 1: her wed gone up. The chance happens only fifteen dollars.
- 27:18Speaker 1: It's up to you pass gorilla. Glue ain't but photo us. Yeah,
- 27:25Speaker 1: but that's permanent though, path that that means her wig
- 27:28Speaker 1: would never come out. I don't think I don't understand
- 27:33Speaker 1: you either, won't hell you don't? Yeah, all right, Pick
- 27:41Speaker 1: pick a wig you can live with. Let's can really
- 27:45Speaker 1: do it on pick the look you won't now forever.
- 27:52Speaker 1: Angela Davis never changed her hairstyle. Pick up you work
- 27:57Speaker 1: with and let's go Lord Tommy Jay, all us see
- 28:06Speaker 1: we got we got a half style. We're gonna We're
- 28:08Speaker 1: gonna ride with were gone it. We're gonna ride it out.
- 28:13Speaker 1: We ain't like the range. They got the option. They
- 28:15Speaker 1: can change there like we made a commitment. We alway
- 28:21Speaker 1: is is eyebrows and mush dash. Last hint, last hint.
- 28:25Speaker 1: Now listening past the The New Beach Revival is coming out.
- 28:29Speaker 1: It's this Saturday. They want to know that you want
- 28:31Speaker 1: to get waxed before before the revival. No, I'm wearing
- 28:36Speaker 1: my preaching robe. And now I don't even want to
- 28:39Speaker 1: go this year because every time I go to a
- 28:42Speaker 1: New Beach, the people on that don't need to be new.
- 28:47Speaker 1: I'm just gonna keep it un I ain't been to
- 28:50Speaker 1: the New Beach yet and seeing somebody that ought to
- 28:53Speaker 1: be new, not one person. And if I do, I'm
- 28:59Speaker 1: setting up a Lincoln right next to him. Coming up
- 29:04Speaker 1: at the top of the hour, Thank you, guys Entertainment
- 29:09Speaker 1: and National News. Right after this, you're listening to show
- 29:16Speaker 1: coming up in twenty minutes. Kim Whitley and also our
- 29:19Speaker 1: girl Sherry Shepherd will be our special guest to promote
- 29:22Speaker 1: two funny Mamas. That is their podcast. We cannot wait
- 29:26Speaker 1: to talk to Kem and Sherry. It's been a minute.
- 29:28Speaker 1: But first in trending music news. We all love the
- 29:32Speaker 1: versus battles, of course, and this past Saturday night it
- 29:35Speaker 1: was Escape versus s w B s WB. What did
- 29:39Speaker 1: you think, Carla, Well, I got a chance. I saw
- 29:42Speaker 1: some of it. I didn't get a chance, Shirley to
- 29:45Speaker 1: see the entire battle. But you know, we love us
- 29:47Speaker 1: in versus battles. Oh, yes, yes, the ladies looked beautiful first.
- 29:53Speaker 1: Yes they did, Yes, they did. Yes. So it was
- 29:57Speaker 1: Escape versus s WB. I mean our and B music
- 30:00Speaker 1: ladies of the nineties. Yes, you know, back when these
- 30:03Speaker 1: girls were really really singing. I don't think. I don't
- 30:07Speaker 1: know if you could call it a battle because they
- 30:09Speaker 1: were truly fans of each other music. Yeah, you know
- 30:14Speaker 1: what I'm saying. But you know, the whole versus thing,
- 30:17Speaker 1: I'm not I don't I see part of it. Yeah,
- 30:23Speaker 1: it's hard for R and B people to do that.
- 30:25Speaker 1: It's not rap. Rap have always had battle raps and
- 30:30Speaker 1: and you know things like that. R and B. It's
- 30:33Speaker 1: not that way together. They all go on the same show.
- 30:36Speaker 1: You're right, you know it's it's these songs is about
- 30:41Speaker 1: loving ye, you know, kind of hard. Yeah, I'm gonna
- 30:48Speaker 1: kick your ass with my love song. I'm going to
- 30:53Speaker 1: kick your ass with my love So I'd be damn
- 30:58Speaker 1: if you adore me more than I want to put
- 31:00Speaker 1: up to the bumper. Baby you're but yeah, you know,
- 31:06Speaker 1: it's just not ahead. That's why I don't. I don't.
- 31:09Speaker 1: I don't. And you know what, so many young people
- 31:13Speaker 1: consider it a battle, you know, like you can't fire
- 31:17Speaker 1: can't really battle. They've been on two or fifteen times
- 31:23Speaker 1: together together. Yeah, right, it's a celebration. It is, and
- 31:31Speaker 1: the culture wins every time, whether it is the classic
- 31:35Speaker 1: heritage iconic groups like you said Steve Earth, Winn and Fire,
- 31:39Speaker 1: are the I Sleep Brothers or women from the nineties,
- 31:42Speaker 1: R and B from you know, our era, and yeah,
- 31:47Speaker 1: and some of the millennials find out where the music
- 31:49Speaker 1: really came from. They thought some of their rappers wrote
- 31:52Speaker 1: some of that music, but you found out where it
- 31:54Speaker 1: really came from. Surprise, right, well, and then what was
- 31:59Speaker 1: so cool? A lot you saw right here Human Nature Remix,
- 32:02Speaker 1: which you know, for our era, they sampled Michael Jackson.
- 32:06Speaker 1: You know, when s WV did that weak and understanding
- 32:10Speaker 1: all of these songs that we love from both groups,
- 32:13Speaker 1: and then their children came on the stage and celebrated
- 32:16Speaker 1: Mother's Day with them. Because these women have been singing
- 32:20Speaker 1: R and B for over thirty years in the business,
- 32:22Speaker 1: so it was really really cool. And Candy, you know,
- 32:25Speaker 1: she's a huge songwriter, so she performed no scrubs. She
- 32:30Speaker 1: wrote that for TLC, Bill's Bills, Bills, Destiny's Child, so
- 32:34Speaker 1: she performed her songs. So it was just big. Like
- 32:36Speaker 1: I said, I never pick a winner. I think the
- 32:38Speaker 1: culture wins every time. So I think it's just a
- 32:42Speaker 1: it's just so dope. How how we're just spotlighting the music.
- 32:45Speaker 1: So shout out to the ladies, y Skates, Yeah, you're right.
- 32:49Speaker 1: I think you hit it. Hit the nail on the head. Absolutely,
- 32:52Speaker 1: just yeah. They love each other, we all love them.
- 32:56Speaker 1: There's no battle here. It's all love. It's all celebration
- 32:59Speaker 1: for sure. And again the ladies looked amazing. They looked
- 33:03Speaker 1: really beautiful, beautiful. They're black, all right, Steve. Time now
- 33:09Speaker 1: for today's headline, ladies and gentlemen, Missa and Trip, thank
- 33:13Speaker 1: you very much, and good Monday morning everyone. This is
- 33:16Speaker 1: a trip of the news. Well, the White House has
- 33:18Speaker 1: declared a state of emergency for several states this morning
- 33:22Speaker 1: because of a cyber attack on the Colonial Pipeline, which
- 33:25Speaker 1: supplies about forty five percent of the fuel to those states.
- 33:29Speaker 1: Authority state appears to have been an extortion plot by
- 33:31Speaker 1: an Eastern European community, and they're still checking because they
- 33:35Speaker 1: say it also seems to have some ties with some
- 33:37Speaker 1: Russian hackers. A federal grand jury Minnesota has indicted Derek
- 33:41Speaker 1: Chauvin and three other former Minneapolis cops for violating the
- 33:44Speaker 1: late George Floyd's constitutional rights. These new charges come nearly
- 33:49Speaker 1: three weeks after a jury found Chauvin guilty of murder
- 33:51Speaker 1: and manslaughter, and attorney Benjamin Crump says, legally, this should
- 33:55Speaker 1: be no surprise. It was very evident the first time
- 33:59Speaker 1: you watched that video that they had violated the constitutional
- 34:03Speaker 1: right of George Floyd, because at the very basis of
- 34:08Speaker 1: our constitution is the promise of constitutional rights to life
- 34:15Speaker 1: and liberty in the pursuit of happiness. In this new case,
- 34:18Speaker 1: two Tao and Jay Alexander King accused of not supporting
- 34:23Speaker 1: not stopping show him from kneeling on George Floyd's neck
- 34:25Speaker 1: for over nine minutes, and with the fourth cop, Thomas Lane,
- 34:29Speaker 1: who apparently had his knee on George Floyd's back. Here
- 34:32Speaker 1: they faced charges of willfully failing to provide medical assistance
- 34:35Speaker 1: for mister Floyd as he cried and gasped for breath.
- 34:38Speaker 1: The three officers go on trial in their own charges
- 34:40Speaker 1: in August. The video of George Floyd's murder, of course,
- 34:43Speaker 1: you know, spark not just a national but an international
- 34:45Speaker 1: movement against police brutality. The latest jobless numbers were rather disappointing, apparently.
- 34:51Speaker 1: The Labor Department says the economy gained some two hundred
- 34:54Speaker 1: and sixty six thousand jobs in April, far fewer than March.
- 34:57Speaker 1: Republicans have been suggesting that a lot of people simply
- 34:59Speaker 1: don't want to apply for jobs because of the extra
- 35:01Speaker 1: money they've been getting in jobless benefits. However, Commerce Secretary
- 35:05Speaker 1: Gena Romundo says that's not the case. People are still
- 35:07Speaker 1: telling us the number one reason they're not going back
- 35:10Speaker 1: to work is fear due to the virus, and more
- 35:14Speaker 1: people were looking for work last month than the month before.
- 35:19Speaker 1: Sadlee singer songwriter Lloyd Price has died Lloyd Price, an
- 35:24Speaker 1: early rock and roll star, died due to complications of
- 35:27Speaker 1: diabetes at nursing home Care long term care facility actually
- 35:31Speaker 1: in upstate New York. He had his own club in
- 35:34Speaker 1: the Broadway theater district back in the day called Lloyd
- 35:36Speaker 1: Price's Turntable, and his biggest hits included Laude, Miss Claudie,
- 35:40Speaker 1: stagger Lee, and this one. In fact, his nickname was
- 35:46Speaker 1: Mister Personality. Lloyd Price was eighty eight. Meanwhile, this weekend's
- 35:49Speaker 1: box office leader was action star Jason Statham's newest Any
- 35:53Speaker 1: idea how dangerous this job can be? Anyway, It's called
- 35:58Speaker 1: The Wrath of Man. I love me some, Jason State.
- 36:00Speaker 1: Now back to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. You're listening, everybody,
- 36:06Speaker 1: as promise, we have two very special guests on the show.

- 36:58Speaker 1: me start with you, what started the journey? And then
- 37:01Speaker 1: for you, Sherry, what started the journey? Well, what started
- 37:04Speaker 1: the journey for me was after I remember you doing
- 37:08Speaker 1: the radio and you was on the treadmill. First of all,
- 37:10Speaker 1: that was done, so I was like, I gotta get
- 37:13Speaker 1: my life together. And you know, I'm being honest with
- 37:16Speaker 1: you when you're pre diabetic and the doctor's like, you
- 37:18Speaker 1: don't put these numbers down. We're gonna put you on
- 37:20Speaker 1: all kind of medicine. And I realized that the pandemic
- 37:24Speaker 1: last year. I said, I could either come out of
- 37:26Speaker 1: the thing a different and better person or I could
- 37:29Speaker 1: be worse or the same. And I wanted to make
- 37:31Speaker 1: a difference. So w W had contacted me, I became
- 37:35Speaker 1: an ambassador and thirty pounds down girl, wow oradulations, Thank
- 37:44Speaker 1: you so so so, Sherry what was it for you?
- 37:47Speaker 1: For me, Steve, it was it was Jeffrey sitting in
- 37:50Speaker 1: the backseat because COVID had gotten me, and I was
- 37:52Speaker 1: I was eating, you know, bad again and he said, Mommy,
- 37:56Speaker 1: if you die, who's going to be my bodyguard? And
- 37:59Speaker 1: that hit me. I'm already diabetic and so I have
- 38:02Speaker 1: been off sugar for two years. It's my third year
- 38:04Speaker 1: anniversary and our sugar and I dropped meat Port Dairy
- 38:08Speaker 1: and now I'm partnered up with Healthy Wade and I've
- 38:10Speaker 1: lost thirty one pound. Don't get out of one pound
- 38:16Speaker 1: for me, don't one pound, thank you? Okay, Okay, So
- 38:25Speaker 1: twenty two of you, we're talking sixty one pound. Don't
- 38:28Speaker 1: forget that one pounds, right, But that's the one that
- 38:33Speaker 1: is over, Kim, don't worry. I'm coming up. I'm bringing
- 38:36Speaker 1: the chocolate tonight while you well, listen, ladies, I want
- 38:46Speaker 1: you all the hold type right there, because we're gonna
- 38:48Speaker 1: come back. We're gonna talk about the podcast. We're gonna
- 38:51Speaker 1: talk about all the things talk about, and we're gonna
- 38:56Speaker 1: talk about Mother's Day with y'all because both of you
- 38:58Speaker 1: all got sons. So we'll be right back. We're talking
- 39:00Speaker 1: to U. Two Funny Mamas. It's a podcast, right, and
- 39:05Speaker 1: it's non stop mayhem a comedy. We're gonna find out
- 39:07Speaker 1: about it when we come back more with Kim Whitney
- 39:10Speaker 1: and the one and Only Sherfy Shephard right after this,
- 39:12Speaker 1: y'all you're listening, all right, We're back and our special
- 39:19Speaker 1: guests this morning. There's two family members, Kim Whitney and
- 39:22Speaker 1: Sherify Shepherd. We've all done so many things together over
- 39:25Speaker 1: the years. Man, They're just two wonderful people. They've got
- 39:28Speaker 1: it podcasting. Y'all really got to get into this. It's
- 39:30Speaker 1: called Two Funny Mamas. They talk about everything you talk about,
- 39:34Speaker 1: the culture, sisterhood and motherhood. Ain't no topic golf limits.
- 39:39Speaker 1: How did you all come up with the podcast? Who?
- 39:41Speaker 1: Who came to who with the idea? I've been on
- 39:48Speaker 1: Kim for literally three years to start this podcast, and
- 39:51Speaker 1: she was always busy and finally COVID head we didn't
- 39:55Speaker 1: have anything to do, so she started it. Kim is like,
- 39:58Speaker 1: just tell me what to do in our show up
- 39:59Speaker 1: on I want to do no work is tell me
- 40:01Speaker 1: what to do. So I'm the force behind the scenes.
- 40:04Speaker 1: But Kim is amazing and we just have this chemistry.
- 40:07Speaker 1: So we've been doing it a year up on our
- 40:09Speaker 1: year anniversary. You know, we have people from Dubai and
- 40:12Speaker 1: Nigeria who are our fans, you know, and it's on
- 40:15Speaker 1: YouTube so they get to see us live. A lot
- 40:17Speaker 1: of people like to watch us in action. And what
- 40:20Speaker 1: we really have enjoyed about this is that we've been
- 40:23Speaker 1: able to highlight black businesses. We've been able to help
- 40:25Speaker 1: people and there is no format. Like people first were like,
- 40:29Speaker 1: oh my god, you all need to producer. You don't
- 40:31Speaker 1: have a format. We're like, that's the beauty of it.
- 40:33Speaker 1: Like Joshua might run right on in the room in
- 40:36Speaker 1: the middle of it. I'm eating, you know. We just
- 40:38Speaker 1: have a good time. And what's really great right now,
- 40:41Speaker 1: we're doing our first comedy show a blive so to
- 40:45Speaker 1: try a live virtual comedy show on May twenty first
- 40:51Speaker 1: at six pm. And this is a two funny mom
- 40:54Speaker 1: of us together. It's our first time. I'm probably gonna flapsha.
- 40:59Speaker 1: We definitely want people to get their tickets at rush
- 41:01Speaker 1: ticks as are you satis dot com because we got
- 41:06Speaker 1: the pool to the people that we can do a
- 41:08Speaker 1: show to gether. We're trying to take this brand and
- 41:12Speaker 1: just do more things with it because people tend to
- 41:14Speaker 1: like it, even though she want to say she put
- 41:16Speaker 1: it together thirty one. Um, I do a lot of
- 41:21Speaker 1: work too, that's all. And you know that Kim has
- 41:26Speaker 1: a d h D, so that's what I have to
- 41:28Speaker 1: deal with all the time. You got to say all
- 41:31Speaker 1: of the alphabets. You could have just said ADP. People
- 41:33Speaker 1: know what you're talking about. You ain't gotta put that.
- 41:38Speaker 1: And y'all know Kim is the eighth he's hyper, you know,
- 41:42Speaker 1: so we know you guys both have sons. How is
- 41:45Speaker 1: your Mother's day? Well? For me? Jeffrey, Uh, when I
- 41:49Speaker 1: made him, he's sixteen, Uh, he's sixteen. He don't like
- 41:54Speaker 1: me very much because he's a teenager. I made him
- 41:57Speaker 1: take me out, and once he found out he had
- 41:59Speaker 1: to pay for my breakfast, he was he was fit
- 42:01Speaker 1: to be tired when he found out. He at the
- 42:03Speaker 1: pay but empty entire bank took all the money and
- 42:07Speaker 1: he took me to Denny. So I had a good time.
- 42:10Speaker 1: But I'm boy that n he keeps his helly. You
- 42:17Speaker 1: almost went down on your podcasts, right, But it's good though.
- 42:25Speaker 1: I like it. Go ahead, What about you and Joshua Kim.
- 42:32Speaker 1: I told my son I'm gonna spend Mother's Day with him.
- 42:35Speaker 1: So I was in Vegas. I said, I'm flying back
- 42:37Speaker 1: on the first thing smoking Kim. She is ten years old.
- 42:44Speaker 1: He was a baby. Remember when he swung on your
- 42:48Speaker 1: Steve on your show. I told his little punk ash,
- 42:56Speaker 1: you don't won't know this, just no what you w
- 42:59Speaker 1: my ass at folk. He's on the swung on you
- 43:04Speaker 1: and he swung on Ti. That's only two people. I'm like,
- 43:06Speaker 1: what's wrong with you? You don't swing one? But you
- 43:13Speaker 1: know what, he never showed I'm to be honest, which
- 43:15Speaker 1: my son never showed up to. Mother's Day was over,
- 43:18Speaker 1: but it was fine because I h he was out
- 43:22Speaker 1: with his dad camping and that's good. But I actually
- 43:26Speaker 1: had a good time. I made out. I read, I
- 43:29Speaker 1: got in the tub. I've been living in the top
- 43:30Speaker 1: for three years and let's go back to the wait.
- 43:33Speaker 1: I was too big to get in the tub. Finally,
- 43:35Speaker 1: I was like, you know, tub got certain signs, certain
- 43:41Speaker 1: side that's really yeah, yeah, you gotta look at it.
- 43:45Speaker 1: And I looked at nothing that's looked like my signs now,
- 43:48Speaker 1: So I got I got in the tub. For the
- 43:50Speaker 1: first time, and I had a great Mother's Day and
- 43:52Speaker 1: Joshua came in and gave me gifts and hugs. All right, ladies,
- 43:57Speaker 1: thank you so very very much. We love it some.
- 44:00Speaker 1: Kim Whitley and Sherry Shepherd, congratulations on their weight loss

- 45:02Speaker 1: but like, why are you calling me? Okay, I'm calling
- 45:06Speaker 1: you for a particular reason. Let me tell you what's
- 45:08Speaker 1: going on. There's this whole plan's football season. Your son
- 45:11Speaker 1: and Isaiah. He was a starting quarterback, right yeah he's yeah,
- 45:15Speaker 1: he's a thurting quarterback. He works real hard like that's
- 45:18Speaker 1: that's okay. Let me let me gonna say. I already
- 45:21Speaker 1: know that my son DeAndre is way better than your
- 45:24Speaker 1: son Isaiah. I already know that all right now. I
- 45:27Speaker 1: didn't get to excuse you. No it don't excuse me.
- 45:30Speaker 1: I'm not gonna excuse myself about this. I've been waiting
- 45:32Speaker 1: to get you on the phone so I can tell
- 45:34Speaker 1: you exactly what's going on. Let me tell you something
- 45:36Speaker 1: that when when the season comes back around, when they
- 45:38Speaker 1: get ready to play again, I'm telling you right now,
- 45:41Speaker 1: my son DeAndre gonna be starting. Please know that. Just
- 45:44Speaker 1: trust me. I'll swear to you. I know what you
- 45:47Speaker 1: did for your Excuse me, sir, excuse me you you
- 45:50Speaker 1: who do you think you are calling me telling me
- 45:52Speaker 1: that your son is gonna take my fund because this
- 45:54Speaker 1: and on the team. How do you even have my number?
- 45:57Speaker 1: I got I got your number from a reliable start.
- 45:59Speaker 1: What are the ars game? Me? Your number. But what's like,
- 46:02Speaker 1: what kind of mental problems you got calling my house
- 46:05Speaker 1: telling me about how your son is. So your son
- 46:07Speaker 1: is like not barely even on the team, he's not
- 46:09Speaker 1: even starting, okay, No, my son eight starting. Okay, well
- 46:13Speaker 1: he gonna be starting next year. Okay. But I don't
- 46:15Speaker 1: know what you did it for your son to be started.
- 46:17Speaker 1: Trust me, I know what you did, and I didn't
- 46:20Speaker 1: do anything. My son earned his position. So I mean,
- 46:23Speaker 1: I don't I don't really get what you're saying here.
- 46:25Speaker 1: You're talking about talking some big game about your son
- 46:28Speaker 1: taking my son's position. Like, first of all, I don't
- 46:30Speaker 1: even know who you are. I don't know how you
- 46:31Speaker 1: got my number. Like these these are kids, it's not
- 46:34Speaker 1: it's really not that serious. Like their kids out there
- 46:37Speaker 1: having a good time, trying to play a game. Like
- 46:40Speaker 1: I haven't seen you at a game. I don't know.
- 46:44Speaker 1: I don't know what you think you are stepping up
- 46:47Speaker 1: being like my son is gonna take your son's position,
- 46:49Speaker 1: Like what kind of crazy are you? You're calling me
- 46:52Speaker 1: out of nowhere, out of that, You're calling me nowhere
- 46:54Speaker 1: out of the clear blue. I'm just minding my business.
- 46:57Speaker 1: My son is playing this game. Who the are you
- 46:59Speaker 1: and why are you calling me? Like? I ain't been
- 47:02Speaker 1: to no games, but I'm gonna be there on next season.
- 47:05Speaker 1: I beat there. Okay, okay, I mean you could try.
- 47:07Speaker 1: You could try. You right now, want to come to
- 47:09Speaker 1: your sons? Still ain't certain? Okay, but let's go. I
- 47:12Speaker 1: don't get to the reason why I called you. I
- 47:13Speaker 1: already know why your son started. So that's going on.
- 47:16Speaker 1: That's gonna be what what? No, my son is starting
- 47:19Speaker 1: because he earned his position. He's the best on the team.
- 47:22Speaker 1: Heed you you're saying that can but are you suing
- 47:27Speaker 1: your son ain't starting? So maybe you maybe you slept,
- 47:29Speaker 1: maybe you slept with coach Brian? What wait, excuse you? Like?
- 47:35Speaker 1: Did you did you? Did you sleep with coach Brian?
- 47:37Speaker 1: So you'll soon you get that position? Did you do that?
- 47:40Speaker 1: Your mama's slept with coach for coach brand with her
- 47:42Speaker 1: dry that's why your son ain't playing? What do you
- 47:46Speaker 1: think you are accusing me of sleeping with a coach. Hey, Hey,
- 47:49Speaker 1: I'm just I'm just letting you know I know what
- 47:51Speaker 1: you did for you. You don't know, you don't know,
- 47:54Speaker 1: you don't know, Okay, So so so you you seen it.
- 47:57Speaker 1: You ain't seven coach Bran, that's what you're saying. So
- 48:00Speaker 1: as they are started because he just because because he
- 48:02Speaker 1: say they just picked him the start. You are crazy.
- 48:06Speaker 1: First of all, you're gonna have to talk to my
- 48:09Speaker 1: husband because these accusations are ridiculous and out of control. Like,
- 48:13Speaker 1: I don't know who the you think you are called
- 48:15Speaker 1: to the house excusing me of sleeping with the coach,
- 48:18Speaker 1: my son earnest positions on the team. It's like the
- 48:22Speaker 1: who you think you are? You are Gray, but who
- 48:25Speaker 1: is your Look? Who is that? My husband is Curtis,
- 48:27Speaker 1: So you don't know because you may never showed up
- 48:29Speaker 1: for your own damn son. Okay, Curtis your your little
- 48:32Speaker 1: name Curtis. Okay, okay, So I'll tell you what I need.
- 48:35Speaker 1: I need to talk to Curtius. I'm what I need
- 48:37Speaker 1: to do. Oh, you're gonna more than talk to Curtis.
- 48:39Speaker 1: You're gonna catch some hands from Curtis with that mouth. Okay,
- 48:43Speaker 1: all good. So so so let me answer this. You're
- 48:45Speaker 1: saying like Curtis that drive trucks, that's Curtius. I'm talking
- 48:51Speaker 1: about Curtis, my husband and my house. You don't know
- 48:53Speaker 1: who we are because you ain't never showed up. You
- 48:56Speaker 1: ain't nobody, your kid is nobody. Whole phone call is book,
- 49:00Speaker 1: and you need to call back into whatever the hall
- 49:03Speaker 1: you came out of because I am not here for this.
- 49:05Speaker 1: Curtains is a driver, right, Yeah, you're lucky here on
- 49:09Speaker 1: your October yet. Oh okay, okay, you're showing my Curtis? Nah?
- 49:13Speaker 1: Nah nah? Can I tell you something else? Or I
- 49:15Speaker 1: didn't find out of my Curtis. I tell you that
- 49:18Speaker 1: I don't. I don't, I don't. I kind of don't
- 49:19Speaker 1: want to hear anything that comes out of your mouth
- 49:21Speaker 1: At this point. I'm gonna tell you if you gonna
- 49:23Speaker 1: just the last thing I'm gonna say, o my mouth.
- 49:25Speaker 1: Can I just tell you what I know of my Curtase?
- 49:28Speaker 1: You better bake it quick. I'm gonna make it quick.
- 49:30Speaker 1: Curtis got me to playing phone call you. This is

- 49:57Speaker 1: and tear up your throat. Can't try me. My husband
- 50:01Speaker 1: put you up to this. Your husband got me to
- 50:03Speaker 1: call your baby. He said, your son is an amazing quarterback.
- 50:07Speaker 1: I staid, cool, we're gonna do this, Yo. You don't understand.

- 53:52Speaker 1: It is the Strawberry Letter. Thank you enough you. Subject
- 53:56Speaker 1: he's living a double life. Dear Stephen Shirley, I was
- 54:00Speaker 1: a late bloomer and didn't have a lot of dating
- 54:03Speaker 1: experience until I was in my early twenties when I
- 54:06Speaker 1: got braces and lost a little weight. Men loved it
- 54:10Speaker 1: and would take advantage of me. I thought I had
- 54:13Speaker 1: life figured out by the time I was twenty eight
- 54:15Speaker 1: years old and I met the man I wanted to
- 54:18Speaker 1: spend the rest of my life with. I met him
- 54:21Speaker 1: on a dating app and he lived out of town,
- 54:24Speaker 1: so I only saw him if he came to visit.
- 54:27Speaker 1: He stayed at my house and all we did was
- 54:30Speaker 1: eat and make love. He kept his phone in his
- 54:34Speaker 1: pocket the entire time he was with me, and when
- 54:40Speaker 1: he slept, he either tucked it in the mattress or
- 54:43Speaker 1: it was in his car. One day, he was on
- 54:47Speaker 1: his laptop and I passed by and saw a family
- 54:49Speaker 1: picture on his wallpaper screen. He joked about me being
- 54:52Speaker 1: nosy and closed his computer really quick. I didn't say
- 54:56Speaker 1: anything at first. Then a few weeks later I tried
- 55:00Speaker 1: calling him and someone answered his phone and didn't say anything,
- 55:04Speaker 1: so I didn't say anything either. I questioned him weeks
- 55:08Speaker 1: later when he came back to my town. He denied
- 55:11Speaker 1: anything out of the norm, so I did my own investigation.
- 55:15Speaker 1: I found out that he has an entire family, a
- 55:18Speaker 1: wife and two kids, and his mother lives with them.
- 55:22Speaker 1: He has been married for eleven years, and he's had
- 55:24Speaker 1: two other long term girlfriends. Like me. Social media is
- 55:30Speaker 1: great for finding out this kind of stuff. I told
- 55:33Speaker 1: him I knew his wife's name, his kid's names, and
- 55:36Speaker 1: his wedding date. He remained calm and said, I don't
- 55:40Speaker 1: need to worry about his wife. He said, if he
- 55:43Speaker 1: wanted me to know about her, he would have told me.
- 55:46Speaker 1: I'm heartbroken and he's moved on. I have all of
- 55:50Speaker 1: his wife's infoe, so I think it's time to tell
- 55:53Speaker 1: her what's up. He said, he's not worried at all
- 55:57Speaker 1: because I don't have the balls to do it. Do
- 56:00Speaker 1: I break the cycle or not? Okay, really, it's not
- 56:05Speaker 1: up to you to break any kind of cycle here.
- 56:08Speaker 1: You didn't start the cycle. You're just part of his cycle.
- 56:11Speaker 1: So girl, listen, you gotta go go on and get
- 56:16Speaker 1: on with your life. Okay, all this stuff you did
- 56:19Speaker 1: after the fact, you know your own investigation, all of that.
- 56:24Speaker 1: You're you're you're you're you know, antenna should have gone
- 56:29Speaker 1: up when he put the when you thought he put
- 56:30Speaker 1: the phone in the mattress or left it in his car.
- 56:33Speaker 1: All all this is suspicious activity. All of this is
- 56:37Speaker 1: you know, this is about revenge on your part and
- 56:40Speaker 1: nothing else. I mean, you want to get back at him.
- 56:43Speaker 1: You want to get back at him. It's okay to
- 56:46Speaker 1: be angry and hurt and you know, feel betrayed and
- 56:49Speaker 1: all of that. We all have those feelings after this
- 56:51Speaker 1: kind of breakup. But but what is telling his wife
- 56:54Speaker 1: gonna get you? It's not gonna get you anything. Uh.
- 56:58Speaker 1: And again, why didn't you find doubt if he was
- 57:00Speaker 1: married before you started dating him? You said in your
- 57:03Speaker 1: letters social media, you know is a great place to
- 57:07Speaker 1: find out about someone. Well, why didn't you do that before?
- 57:10Speaker 1: I just don't understand that part. This is just another
- 57:13Speaker 1: man you let take advantage of you. It happened in
- 57:17Speaker 1: your early twenties, you said, where you let men take
- 57:20Speaker 1: advantage of you. And I say this to you, it stopped.
- 57:23Speaker 1: It's time to stop this. It's time to stop letting
- 57:26Speaker 1: men take advantage of you. All right, this is what
- 57:29Speaker 1: you should be concentrating on now. Because you said he
- 57:32Speaker 1: has moved on and hasn't looked back. You should be
- 57:36Speaker 1: concentrating and working on that. Now. You should be working
- 57:39Speaker 1: on yourself, your self esteem, your self worth. You don't
- 57:43Speaker 1: have to go to his wife and tell her about
- 57:46Speaker 1: his cheating husband. Her cheating husband. I'm sure she knows
- 57:49Speaker 1: it's plus you said he had two other long term girlfriends.
- 57:52Speaker 1: Come on, I'm sure she knows something. Steve. Oh, I don't.
- 58:02Speaker 1: I don't even know what to say to you, ma'am.
- 58:04Speaker 1: I mean, you explain to me why you got taken
- 58:08Speaker 1: advantage of because you didn't do a lot of dating,
- 58:10Speaker 1: and you had braces and you had love weight on
- 58:13Speaker 1: you and you and men loved it. And when you
- 58:16Speaker 1: got to braces off and lost some weight, when men
- 58:19Speaker 1: loved it and would take advantage of me. Um, you know,
- 58:26Speaker 1: people take advantage of you when you're when you're gullible
- 58:29Speaker 1: to things. I understand that. But you were young, and
- 58:32Speaker 1: that's just youth. Women. It happens to women all the time.
- 58:35Speaker 1: It happens to men all the time too, So that's
- 58:37Speaker 1: just youth. Don't worry about that. You know, you know
- 58:40Speaker 1: how not to get taken advantage of. Now, But now
- 58:43Speaker 1: you're twenty eight and you met the man that you
- 58:46Speaker 1: thought it was the love of your life. And all
- 58:50Speaker 1: we did was eat and make love. He stayed at
- 58:52Speaker 1: your house. He lived out of town. You met him
- 58:56Speaker 1: on a dating Now you only saw him when he
- 58:59Speaker 1: came to visit, when he kept his phone in his
- 59:02Speaker 1: pocket the entire time he was with you. When he slept,
- 59:05Speaker 1: he tucked it in the mattress. Now, when you see
- 59:09Speaker 1: a man tucking a phone in a mattress, damn you
- 59:14Speaker 1: tuck a phone in the mattress. That's a tough one. Now, boy,
- 59:19Speaker 1: kind of hard you to get that phone and he's
- 59:21Speaker 1: sleeping on it. That's real hard to do. But if
- 59:25Speaker 1: it vibrates, everybody in the bed gonna know its ringing.
- 59:29Speaker 1: I'm just saying that wasn't enough for you. He's the
- 59:32Speaker 1: one that threw me. One day, he was on his laptop.
- 59:37Speaker 1: I passed by and saw a family picture on his
- 59:40Speaker 1: wallpaper screen. He joked about me being nosy and closed
- 59:44Speaker 1: his computer right away. You saw a man with a
- 59:49Speaker 1: wallpaper screen of a whole damn family. Here in the picture.
- 59:53Speaker 1: It's a woman in the picture and some kids in
- 59:56Speaker 1: the picture. A whole family on his is wall paper screen.
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: You know, a person's wall paper screen is pretty personal. Yeah,
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: you put stuff on that it means something to you.
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: Hold on, Steve, A hold on. Yeah, we'll have part
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: two of your response coming up at twenty three minutes
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: after the hour. Today's Strawberry Letters subject He's living a
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: double life. We'll get back into it right after this.
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: You're listening Morning show. All right, Come on, Steve, let's
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: recap today's Strawberry Letter of the subject he's living a
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: double life. This woman who had an early childhood deprived
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: of early dating cause she needed braces and had a
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: little weight. Is she was, she got the braces off,
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: she lost weight, excuse me. And she said that men
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: took advantage of that, well, which means she was naive.
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: When women are young, they get taken advantage of a lot.
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: There's a lot of sharks out there. I understand that.
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: We'll just chalk that up to you. You're twenty eight now.
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: He's on the day. App you met a man that
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: you want to spend the rest of your life with, Well,
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: you met him on the day where he stayed out
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: of town and when he came to town. All y'all
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: deal was eat and sleep together and make love. All right, cool,
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: But the whole time he kept his phone in his pocket,
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: or he left it in the car. When he did
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: keep it with him, he tucked it under the match.
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: That's that's hard. That's a dead sign to something that
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: you don't need to see. But that one wasn't the
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: killer for me. The killer for me was one day
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: he was on his laptop. I passed by and saw
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: a family picture on his wallpaper screen. He joked about me,
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: me and nose and closed the computer real quick. I
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: ain't say anything at first. Why you didn't? I don't
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: understand this. Here you see a man he on now,
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: a woman on now, and some children is on now,
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: and it's him. You knows him? What? All right? Then
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: a few weeks later I tried calling him. Somebody answered
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: the phone or didn't say anything, so I didn't say
- 1:02:03Speaker 1: anything either. That's because the person you called it answered
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: the phone was his wife, and she's suspicious, so she
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: didn't want to say nothing. Then you hang up, because
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: that's happened before. So what she did was she waited
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: on you to say Donnie or whatever his name in Joes,
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: just like that. Raymond, Hello, Raymond, and then the woman
- 1:02:31Speaker 1: would know it's a woman, but she didn't say nothing.
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: Then weeks later you questioned him when he came back
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: in town. He denied anything out the norm. So I
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: did my own investigation. Now, like Shelly said, come on, ladies,
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: with social media and all this him, you could have
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: done all this investigating when you met him on the app.
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: Why do y'all wait to after the fact for the investigation.
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: You all live in a technological society and you're able
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: to do your homework early before you even get involved
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: with this man. You could do your investigation save yourself
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: a lot of pain. I found out he had an
- 1:03:17Speaker 1: entire family or wife, two kids, and his mother lives
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: with them. He'd been married for eleven years, and he
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: has two other long term girlfriends like me. Then she
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: said social media is great for finding out this kind
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: of stuff. Well, like Sherley said, it would have been
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: great in the beginning too, would have saved you a
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: world of trouble. I don't understand. I told him I
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: knew his wife's name, his kid's name, his wedding date.
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: He remained calm and said, I don't need to weary
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: about his wife. She said, if he wanted me to
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: know about her. He would have told me, let me
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: explain something. My wife name about your mouth. Keep your
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: wife's name out your mouth. If I want you to
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: know about how I told you about her. Oh here,
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: pimp now, because that's a pimp line. No, no, I'll
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: show you what the threat is, Shelly, Okay, okay. I'm
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: heartbroken and he's moved on because now the reason he
- 1:04:18Speaker 1: really told you you don't need to know his wife's
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: name and need to wear about his wife because you
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: ain't gonna be involved with him no more. I'm heartbroken
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: and he's moved on. I have all of his wife's info,
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: so I think it's time to tell her what's Oh girl,
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: he said, he's not worried at all. Here's the threat,
- 1:04:35Speaker 1: because I don't have the balls to do it now.
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: This is an unbelievable threat. Most men ain't this damn stupid.
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: But he must really know you naive and pass it
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: because you take a lot and you don't know how
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: to deal with me, and so this threat is unbelievable.
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: But you know there's an old saying that he has forgotten.
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: You can't snatch your head out the lion's mouth, and
- 1:05:04Speaker 1: he didn't forgot that. See, he don't realize that his
- 1:05:07Speaker 1: head is in your mouth. You ain't got the balls
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: to do it. You've benna just snatch your head out
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: this mouth. And I got all this information? Are you
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: kidding me? Pretty day? You asked me? But this is
- 1:05:20Speaker 1: a bluff, This is a cold bluff. But he really
- 1:05:24Speaker 1: thinks a lot less of you. So I understand you
- 1:05:28Speaker 1: talking about do I break the cycle or not? Not
- 1:05:31Speaker 1: really sure of what cycle? You're talking about the fact
- 1:05:34Speaker 1: that he may have had two longtime girlfriends and you're
- 1:05:37Speaker 1: number three and his wife may not know about it.
- 1:05:41Speaker 1: Surely say, I don't know what that gains you. Your
- 1:05:43Speaker 1: best move is to move on. But I do understand.
- 1:05:49Speaker 1: I mean, you ain't got the balls to do it.
- 1:05:52Speaker 1: So you know, the parting shot is gonna be a
- 1:05:56Speaker 1: little bit different. The parting shots is you might show
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: him you do have a set of Kahunas on you.
- 1:06:05Speaker 1: And I don't know why he would even threaten you
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: like this, I really really don't. That's an unbelievable threat. Yeah,
- 1:06:10Speaker 1: that's a I don't know no man to say that
- 1:06:14Speaker 1: you ain't got the balls. You know, I don't mean
- 1:06:16Speaker 1: you to call him no band, no, hey, look, I'm
- 1:06:18Speaker 1: really sorry. Can we work through this? Can I help
- 1:06:22Speaker 1: you need anything? We've had a lot of conversations except that,
- 1:06:27Speaker 1: So all right, Yeah, we're roving on and oh look
- 1:06:32Speaker 1: what's next. We're gonna look into the mind of j
- 1:06:34Speaker 1: Anthony Brown coming up right after you're listening show, Ladies
- 1:06:43Speaker 1: and Gentlemen, My dog Janthony Brown. Okay, Mayweather had a
- 1:06:49Speaker 1: video that with viral this weekend when Jake Paul took
- 1:06:52Speaker 1: his hat. I don't know if y'all saw that. Did
- 1:06:54Speaker 1: you see it? Yeah? Yeah, he had on a shirved
- 1:06:58Speaker 1: outfit and he had this hat with with it. It
- 1:07:02Speaker 1: was it looked like Sherbet to me, I don't know
- 1:07:04Speaker 1: what color was. It looked kind of Sherbet Lee. But
- 1:07:09Speaker 1: Jake bo took his hat and Mayweather was some kind
- 1:07:14Speaker 1: of mad. I mean, he was really upset. He was
- 1:07:16Speaker 1: like he wanted to kill this guy, which means there's
- 1:07:19Speaker 1: a lot of little childish games you can't play with
- 1:07:22Speaker 1: Mayweather because he don't play that type of game. He
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: don't play I got your hat. That was not amusing
- 1:07:28Speaker 1: to him. You can't play them type of games and
- 1:07:31Speaker 1: him you got my I'm gonna kick your ass. You
- 1:07:33Speaker 1: can't play patty Kake peekaboo keen in the none of
- 1:07:36Speaker 1: them damn game. He don't play that type of stuff. Man,
- 1:07:40Speaker 1: Mayweather don't play slap hands. He ain't playing that one potato,
- 1:07:45Speaker 1: two potato. He's not that kind of man. Okay, he's
- 1:07:49Speaker 1: a damn millionaire. He don't play the each type of game.
- 1:07:52Speaker 1: You don't play. That's my car. He ain't got time
- 1:07:56Speaker 1: for that. He managed, damn rich that is his cop. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:08:02Speaker 1: you can't. You can't play with him. He don't play.
- 1:08:05Speaker 1: He don't play. He's about whipping ass and cashing check.
- 1:08:09Speaker 1: That's all. He's into whipping ass and cash check less,
- 1:08:15Speaker 1: cashing checks. That's all he do. Whip ass, go to
- 1:08:19Speaker 1: the bank and cash your check. So you can't play.
- 1:08:22Speaker 1: I got your nose. He ain't into that. I got
- 1:08:24Speaker 1: your nose because he'll whip your ass. You can't play.
- 1:08:27Speaker 1: I got your nose with Mayweather, okay, because he don't play.
- 1:08:32Speaker 1: He don't play. And when the fight does happen, I
- 1:08:34Speaker 1: know sports is junior. I'm pretty sure this dude is
- 1:08:37Speaker 1: gonna die. I don't know when it's gonna happen. But
- 1:08:40Speaker 1: I'm pretty sure. Yeah, he's gonna die. He's gonna die.
- 1:08:47Speaker 1: That's all I have to say with it, because I've
- 1:08:49Speaker 1: never seen Mayweather that mad about nothing because he don't
- 1:08:53Speaker 1: play it. He don't play he don't got your hat.
- 1:08:59Speaker 1: He said, tool, I'm gonna give you a wedge. Okay, Well,
- 1:09:06Speaker 1: if you give me a wedger, I'm putting my foot in.
- 1:09:09Speaker 1: All right. Yeah, I mean, since we're doing wedges, I
- 1:09:12Speaker 1: hope you like this footing now, because that was going
- 1:09:14Speaker 1: in the name. I really Mayweather was mad about that.
- 1:09:18Speaker 1: It was the fact he said, got your head that's
- 1:09:21Speaker 1: made it bad, right, everybody heard it. I got your hat.
- 1:09:30Speaker 1: I just never seen anybody that rich run behind the hat.
- 1:09:33Speaker 1: I just never seen anybody you got. All right, Jay,
- 1:09:38Speaker 1: thank you. Coming up, we're gonna find out what happened
- 1:09:41Speaker 1: after the interview we did earlier this morning with Sherry
- 1:09:46Speaker 1: Shepherd and Kim Whitley. Yeah, Jay, this involves you too.
- 1:09:49Speaker 1: We'll get to that at the top of the hour
- 1:09:51Speaker 1: right after this you're listening show. Earlier we had a
- 1:09:58Speaker 1: conversation with Ry Shepherd and Kim Whitney. You know it
- 1:10:02Speaker 1: was over, you know, we said goodbye. And that was
- 1:10:06Speaker 1: a conversation being had between Kim Whitney and Jay Anthony
- 1:10:11Speaker 1: Brown and ladies and gentlemen. Here it is right here
- 1:10:15Speaker 1: for your listening. Plus you check this out. Crush, the
- 1:10:19Speaker 1: Crush is still alive. It's not alive. Okay, Oh your
- 1:10:25Speaker 1: life dame day now, Jay, Yeah, you don't start stop
- 1:10:39Speaker 1: in the nine. No you did that? No? No, no, Steve,
- 1:10:44Speaker 1: can I tell you what happened? You know what I mean?
- 1:10:47Speaker 1: Shot in the ninety Steve, I put everything into this,
- 1:10:52Speaker 1: everything everything. First, I'm telling Fish, I mean one and done,
- 1:11:01Speaker 1: and I took it to my big house. Okay, I
- 1:11:04Speaker 1: admit the Big House wasn't finished yet, neither was a
- 1:11:08Speaker 1: lot of constructions going. But you could see the potential. However, Kim,
- 1:11:16Speaker 1: Kim didn't see that at all. She just saw a
- 1:11:19Speaker 1: funking ass house that ain't gonna never be nothing. So
- 1:11:22Speaker 1: that didn't go nowhere at all. When I'm not finished, Kim,
- 1:11:27Speaker 1: I'm not finished. I'm not finished. Then they then they
- 1:11:30Speaker 1: put me on the show with Kim, and I figured
- 1:11:33Speaker 1: if I'm on the show with him, I got a
- 1:11:36Speaker 1: real good shot. Never saw her, never saw her except
- 1:11:40Speaker 1: when I did my scene never how you be on
- 1:11:43Speaker 1: the show with somebody but you don't see him. She
- 1:11:51Speaker 1: was awarding as. Yes, I didn't know, joke. I didn't
- 1:11:56Speaker 1: know you was gonna make it. You didn't had that
- 1:12:02Speaker 1: what you didn't? Then you show me the machine you
- 1:12:05Speaker 1: want to go and paint. So that's him, Kimmy. You
- 1:12:12Speaker 1: could have been number four or five or six. Yeah, okay,
- 1:12:17Speaker 1: oh no, no, no, churl churley. Let me tell you something.
- 1:12:22Speaker 1: Ain't gotten a little bit of this. I'll shut it
- 1:12:24Speaker 1: down one. I don't have this whole check. You know
- 1:12:34Speaker 1: what's amazing. I didn't know nothing about this. Really, I
- 1:12:39Speaker 1: didn't know nothing about this. Oh that storm machine. And
- 1:12:42Speaker 1: then paintbrusher threw me off. And when he when he's
- 1:12:46Speaker 1: so killed, he can't make pockets, so you'll just be
- 1:12:49Speaker 1: it'd be fleas, you know. But you know Tommy women
- 1:12:54Speaker 1: web pants with no pockets on it. Yeah, that that way.
- 1:12:56Speaker 1: It's smooth in the front, all the way around back. JB.
- 1:13:00Speaker 1: Hell of a old lady pantsmaker like color purple. You
- 1:13:06Speaker 1: never went out to that did on the sitcom It
- 1:13:09Speaker 1: was Claghorn with Ellen Claghorn, and I like Jay and
- 1:13:12Speaker 1: he never paid me any attention. Wow, J J J. Confused. Man,
- 1:13:19Speaker 1: I worked with both of them when we did the
- 1:13:21Speaker 1: radio show. Both of them would have been in the
- 1:13:23Speaker 1: studio at the same time. We had the best fund.
- 1:13:26Speaker 1: Really really well, ladies. I do want to say this though,
- 1:13:29Speaker 1: Jay is a good guy, but you should thank the
- 1:13:33Speaker 1: Lord you dodge that damn bullet. That one would have
- 1:13:38Speaker 1: been right between your ass. Once Jay hits the moment
- 1:13:44Speaker 1: of conflict in the relationship, eaty conflict it throw his
- 1:13:49Speaker 1: ass into something he got. Oh no, Jfdy Brown don't
- 1:13:54Speaker 1: work through no situation. Oh no, oh no. We could
- 1:14:05Speaker 1: have been married and you'd had a hell of a
- 1:14:07Speaker 1: divorced them. You know who? Why what you say? And
- 1:14:14Speaker 1: you know that for show. I know that. But you
- 1:14:18Speaker 1: wouldn't have really had to worry about You wouldn't have
- 1:14:20Speaker 1: had to worry about Jacob. Jay don't like to go
- 1:14:23Speaker 1: to court, so the court day, I can promise you that.
- 1:14:32Speaker 1: All right, more of the Steve Harvey Morning Show and
- 1:14:35Speaker 1: trending stories coming up, and twenty minutes after right after this,
- 1:14:39Speaker 1: you're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right,
- 1:14:45Speaker 1: So in trending political news, guys, this was a shocker.
- 1:14:49Speaker 1: Let him Mayor Keisha Land's Bottoms made a surprise announcement
- 1:14:54Speaker 1: last night that she will not seek re election for
- 1:14:56Speaker 1: a second term. What I mean, well, why do you
- 1:15:04Speaker 1: say that, Steve? I mean, I wouldn't be bothered with
- 1:15:07Speaker 1: this foolishness. Man. You know you're not listening. Man, people
- 1:15:12Speaker 1: not trying to you know, do that. And she may have,
- 1:15:19Speaker 1: you know, some other aspirations governor. That's what I was saying.
- 1:15:23Speaker 1: I don't know, I don't know that. Yeah. Mayor Bottoms
- 1:15:27Speaker 1: posted an open letter on Twitter saying it is with
- 1:15:31Speaker 1: deep emotions that I hold my head high and choose
- 1:15:33Speaker 1: not to seek another term as mayor. Her announcement came
- 1:15:37Speaker 1: as a big surprise. Like I said, everyone was shocked
- 1:15:40Speaker 1: about this, and she previously said she'd be running and
- 1:15:43Speaker 1: I had even been actively fundraising. Poles were also showing
- 1:15:48Speaker 1: Mayor Bottoms ahead. And Keisha Lan's Bottoms is Atlanta's second
- 1:15:53Speaker 1: African American woman to serve as mayor and become a
- 1:15:57Speaker 1: national figure. She campaigned last year and then presidential candidate
- 1:16:01Speaker 1: Joe Biden was even considering her as his running mate.
- 1:16:06Speaker 1: So yeah, that's wow. So things changed. You know, it's tired.
- 1:16:11Speaker 1: I think you know she has a good The way
- 1:16:14Speaker 1: she handled a COVID, her leadership was she was trying
- 1:16:17Speaker 1: to be on point with that. All right, Steve, hold on,
- 1:16:20Speaker 1: hold that thought. We'll be back at thirty three minutes
- 1:16:24Speaker 1: after right after this. You're listening, okay, Steve. Before we
- 1:16:30Speaker 1: left for break, we were talking about Mayor Kisha Lan's
- 1:16:33Speaker 1: bottoms and her decision to not run for mayor for
- 1:16:36Speaker 1: a second term, and you were saying, I think she
- 1:16:40Speaker 1: showed great leadership doing COVID. I think she had a
- 1:16:44Speaker 1: lot to do with voting. I think she made some
- 1:16:48Speaker 1: really really great stance for the city. I think it's
- 1:16:52Speaker 1: an exhausting job. I think it's a thankless job. But
- 1:16:56Speaker 1: I think she could have aspirations for something greater. I
- 1:16:59Speaker 1: don't know, oh this, but I could see her up
- 1:17:02Speaker 1: the line, you know, attorney general, you know, governor if
- 1:17:08Speaker 1: Stacy don't run. But I think that these people are
- 1:17:12Speaker 1: all on the same page, and so I don't know
- 1:17:14Speaker 1: what it could be. But she was a great example.
- 1:17:17Speaker 1: But you know this, this job here is hard, man.
- 1:17:21Speaker 1: You're trying to tell people do the right thing, and
- 1:17:23Speaker 1: ain't I'm like listening, Yeah, I can't be variables fighting you,
- 1:17:28Speaker 1: especially in Georgia. Especially in Georgia, when you try do right,
- 1:17:32Speaker 1: the governor is just doing all kinds of stuff too,
- 1:17:35Speaker 1: to fight. It's a ti underd. Yeah, I hope she's
- 1:17:38Speaker 1: not quitting all together. I do hope that. Yeah, she's
- 1:17:42Speaker 1: going to do something even better. I don't mind if
- 1:17:45Speaker 1: she quits all together, because some people just go, you
- 1:17:48Speaker 1: know what, Like, I wouldn't do good in politics because
- 1:17:52Speaker 1: I'm just not cut up. I'm not cut that way.
- 1:17:55Speaker 1: You don't have yes all all my debates, it's gonna
- 1:18:04Speaker 1: be on YouTube, Yeah you cut And I just don't
- 1:18:10Speaker 1: like politics because it's so red and blue and so garbage.
- 1:18:15Speaker 1: It's not really for the welfare of the people. It's
- 1:18:18Speaker 1: for the welfare of the people in power, politicians. It's
- 1:18:22Speaker 1: whatever's best one to think. It's what they do. It's
- 1:18:25Speaker 1: what's best for them to hold power. And it's not
- 1:18:28Speaker 1: about the people. And it's sickening man. And Plus I
- 1:18:31Speaker 1: wouldn't get into politics. I don't know what has happened
- 1:18:33Speaker 1: to the Republican Party. I don't know. I don't know
- 1:18:36Speaker 1: how seventy seventy percent of these people really believe this
- 1:18:39Speaker 1: election was stolen. That's a damn shame that as a
- 1:18:44Speaker 1: thinking person, you would allow this man who is so
- 1:18:49Speaker 1: morally corrupt, told moralizes than anybody in the history of
- 1:18:54Speaker 1: the presidency. And what makes you think he ain't told
- 1:18:57Speaker 1: another lie? Man missed me. Yeah, and he's the only one.
- 1:19:03Speaker 1: In the states where he won, there was there was
- 1:19:06Speaker 1: no fraud. Only the states where he lost, right, there
- 1:19:09Speaker 1: was there for Azona, Yeah, Georgia. Yeah, great things lie
- 1:19:20Speaker 1: ahead for I do two, I really do Mayor Keisha
- 1:19:24Speaker 1: land Bottom, because she's a great leader. She is, you know, yeah,
- 1:19:29Speaker 1: I mean I thought at one time they were considering
- 1:19:31Speaker 1: her for the vice president. She'll roll yeah, you know,
- 1:19:37Speaker 1: so yeah, who knows. All right, we'll be back with
- 1:19:40Speaker 1: our last break of the day and of course some
- 1:19:43Speaker 1: closing remarks from the one and only Steve Harvey right
- 1:19:46Speaker 1: after this. You're listening, all right, guys, Here we are
- 1:19:52Speaker 1: the end of the road for this show today. Anyway,
- 1:19:55Speaker 1: last break of the day on this Monday and time. Now. Yeah, yeah, hey,
- 1:20:05Speaker 1: you know I'm gonna share something with you all that
- 1:20:08Speaker 1: I did yesterday early morning Mother's Day. I got up
- 1:20:14Speaker 1: early morning, I was doing my morning meditation, and I
- 1:20:18Speaker 1: decided to go online and go to Joel those teams videos.
- 1:20:26Speaker 1: Something just led me to that. I had been reading
- 1:20:29Speaker 1: some scriptures and stuff and something and I punched on
- 1:20:33Speaker 1: a video call there's miracles in your mouth and man o,
- 1:20:39Speaker 1: man o, man was it a real good one for me.
- 1:20:44Speaker 1: And I'm gonna paraphrase what he said, but I'm gonna
- 1:20:48Speaker 1: put it in a way that it really really mattered
- 1:20:51Speaker 1: to me when I heard this. He was talking about
- 1:20:54Speaker 1: there's miracles in your mouth. And you know, I often
- 1:20:57Speaker 1: say to everybody, I say, look a man is as
- 1:21:00Speaker 1: he thinketh, you know, and that's what you are. That's
- 1:21:04Speaker 1: a scripture, right, So if whatever you think, that's what
- 1:21:07Speaker 1: you are, right, that's a fact. But there's an added
- 1:21:11Speaker 1: element to that that I hadn't really considered as much
- 1:21:17Speaker 1: as I did when I heard Joe Littlesteen talking about
- 1:21:21Speaker 1: there's miracles in your mouth. And the point that he
- 1:21:24Speaker 1: was making is it's very important, folks that as you
- 1:21:29Speaker 1: think these positive thoughts, that you have these positive affirmations
- 1:21:34Speaker 1: in your life, it's equally important that you speak them
- 1:21:39Speaker 1: out loud, that you speak of him to existence. Because
- 1:21:44Speaker 1: what he was explaining to me that kind of made
- 1:21:46Speaker 1: the light bulb go off in my head. Was is
- 1:21:49Speaker 1: not only that you have to think the right thoughts,
- 1:21:56Speaker 1: you have to say the right thoughts, and by saying it,
- 1:22:02Speaker 1: it releases it into the universe and it caused its
- 1:22:05Speaker 1: angels to work on your behalf. And you know, I
- 1:22:09Speaker 1: hadn't really thought of it that way. I've always thought
- 1:22:13Speaker 1: that thinking it was enough. And I guess I've said
- 1:22:16Speaker 1: some things, but not consciously out loud. You know, I've
- 1:22:20Speaker 1: professed some things. But he started talking about it, and
- 1:22:24Speaker 1: he made the correlation at the very beginning of time
- 1:22:29Speaker 1: when God said, let there be light. Now, God's pretty powerful, right,
- 1:22:35Speaker 1: he could have just popped his fingers and there was light.
- 1:22:38Speaker 1: But he intentionally said it, and he wrote about it
- 1:22:43Speaker 1: in the Bible to leave it in our head that
- 1:22:47Speaker 1: it's important that you said he said that was light
- 1:22:51Speaker 1: and then that was light. That's really an important thing.
- 1:22:57Speaker 1: So what the whole thing about saying that there's miracles
- 1:23:01Speaker 1: in your mouth is to get people to start professing
- 1:23:05Speaker 1: with their mouth things that they want to come to
- 1:23:07Speaker 1: Parisia because it releases angels on your behalf to go
- 1:23:12Speaker 1: out and help fight. You know. He was talking about
- 1:23:15Speaker 1: how his mother had cancer in nineteen eighty one and
- 1:23:19Speaker 1: they had said she had six months to live while
- 1:23:23Speaker 1: his mother sits on the front row of every service
- 1:23:27Speaker 1: right now, and she was canceled, was all over her body,
- 1:23:31Speaker 1: but she kept saying I am healed. She kept saying
- 1:23:36Speaker 1: out loud. She not only believed it, but she said it.
- 1:23:40Speaker 1: And she would recite scriptures all the time. And Joel
- 1:23:43Speaker 1: said he would walk in the room and she would
- 1:23:45Speaker 1: say scriptures out loud that that that that confirmed her
- 1:23:49Speaker 1: belief that she was going to be fine. And he
- 1:23:52Speaker 1: was just talking about how many times that happens in
- 1:23:55Speaker 1: real life, that you actually through affirmation and speaking it
- 1:24:00Speaker 1: out loud, there are miracles in your mouth. And how
- 1:24:03Speaker 1: many times have you spoken something into existence. I remember
- 1:24:08Speaker 1: Muhammad Ali was talking and he had a quote. He
- 1:24:12Speaker 1: was talking one day and he said, I said I
- 1:24:16Speaker 1: was the greatest before I was the greatest, and he
- 1:24:21Speaker 1: was talking about how he spoke that into existence. So
- 1:24:26Speaker 1: I'm saying to everybody that's listening today, start speaking your
- 1:24:30Speaker 1: affirmations out loud. I believe that I'm going to live
- 1:24:38Speaker 1: a long and healthy life as long as God see
- 1:24:41Speaker 1: fit for me to be here. I am going to prosper.
- 1:24:47Speaker 1: I have God's favor in my life. I I'm a
- 1:24:56Speaker 1: child of God and I'm under his protection, and no
- 1:25:00Speaker 1: weapon formed against me shall prosper. It won't you. It's
- 1:25:05Speaker 1: not to say won't nobody do nothing to you, but
- 1:25:07Speaker 1: it's saying it will never accomplish what they set out
- 1:25:10Speaker 1: for it to do. They wanted to prosper, that's not
- 1:25:13Speaker 1: what's gonna happen. Or you can say it about me,
- 1:25:17Speaker 1: but that don't make it. So. You can speak a
- 1:25:21Speaker 1: lot of things, So what is it that you really
- 1:25:23Speaker 1: want in life? What are the things you're really going for?
- 1:25:27Speaker 1: Start speaking them out loud, start claiming it, release it
- 1:25:31Speaker 1: into the universe, and let them angels out there work
- 1:25:34Speaker 1: on your behalf. You know. Oh I just I feel
- 1:25:37Speaker 1: like I'm always sick. Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, that's a
- 1:25:40Speaker 1: true statement. You are. You are. I just don't see
- 1:25:44Speaker 1: no way. I don't see how you're gonna make it.
- 1:25:47Speaker 1: You know, have you ever told something to somebody and
- 1:25:49Speaker 1: you was so firm in your belief and when you
- 1:25:52Speaker 1: shared it with them, they couldn't see it and they
- 1:25:55Speaker 1: started telling you how they didn't think it would work. Well,
- 1:25:57Speaker 1: that's because God didn't show it to them. He showed
- 1:26:00Speaker 1: old it to you. It's your affirmation that matters. And
- 1:26:03Speaker 1: then he was talking about where there's two or more
- 1:26:05Speaker 1: gathered in my name, so shall it be? He says,
- 1:26:08Speaker 1: Sometimes you can't find another person, He says, so the
- 1:26:11Speaker 1: two people gotta be you and yourself. Sometimes you just
- 1:26:15Speaker 1: got to come to terms with you and yourself and
- 1:26:18Speaker 1: let them be the two people that agree on something. Hey, man,
- 1:26:22Speaker 1: start speaking miracles into your life. There are miracles in
- 1:26:26Speaker 1: your mouth. Make positive affirmation and don't be afraid to
- 1:26:30Speaker 1: say it out loud. Man. That's what God put in
- 1:26:33Speaker 1: in front of us. And I heard that on Joel
- 1:26:35Speaker 1: Osteen that day. I just wanted to share up with job.
