Latest / The Ben Ferguson Podcast / Liberals Celebrate Kirk Assassination on Social Media, 'Love' Texts from Assassin to Boyfriend & Designating Antifa as Terrorist Organization Week In Review
Transcript
- 0:01Speaker 1: Welcome. It is Verdict with Ted Cruz. We can review
- 0:03Speaker 1: Ben Ferguson with you. And these are the stories that
- 0:06Speaker 1: you may have missed that we talked about this week.
- 0:08Speaker 1: First up media and social media. Why are they not
- 0:12Speaker 1: coming out condemning those who are celebrating the death of
- 0:16Speaker 1: Charlie Kirk. In fact, they're allowing it to happen. So
- 0:19Speaker 1: what does this say about America? We're going to break
- 0:21Speaker 1: that down. Also, we have the text messages now from
- 0:25Speaker 1: the assassin to his roommate, transcendered lover what was said
- 0:29Speaker 1: in there? That's so revealing that in a moment. And
- 0:32Speaker 1: finally Cashptel and Senator Cruz on naming Antifa a terrorist
- 0:37Speaker 1: organization and what this means moving forward. It's the weekend
- 0:41Speaker 1: review and it starts right now. I go back to
- 0:45Speaker 1: this how many I mean, we watched one of our
- 0:47Speaker 1: own be assassinated. Did any cities get burned down?
- 0:51Speaker 2: No? Not.
- 0:52Speaker 3: There any police officers that were attacked.
- 0:54Speaker 4: No.
- 0:55Speaker 3: Was there any assaults on people because of it that
- 0:57Speaker 3: were angry?
- 0:58Speaker 2: No?
- 0:59Speaker 3: And yet they're mad.
- 1:01Speaker 1: I love this headline from the Daily Beast, which, if
- 1:03Speaker 1: you don't know what that is, a hardcore liberal propaganda
- 1:06Speaker 1: machine that has an incredible amount of influence in the left.
- 1:09Speaker 1: Their headline yesterday ten oh five am, keyboard Warriors, grieving
- 1:15Speaker 1: this week's assassination of self annoented champion of quote unquote
- 1:19Speaker 1: free speech, Charlie Kirk, have launched an online campaign to
- 1:24Speaker 1: get anyone who criticizes him fired from their jobs.
- 1:29Speaker 3: Their subheadline is.
- 1:30Speaker 1: Free speech crazed Maga Karen's go full cancel culture on
- 1:36Speaker 1: Kirk critics. No, let's be clear about the people we
- 1:39Speaker 1: are exposing.
- 1:40Speaker 3: It's people.
- 1:41Speaker 1: They weren't criticizing Chari Kirk. They were celebrating the assassination
- 1:46Speaker 1: of Charlie Kirk in our major positions of power at
- 1:49Speaker 1: universities and at other jobs, or things like we mentioned
- 1:53Speaker 1: earlier where they refuse to put up to print out
- 1:56Speaker 1: a piece of paper for goodness.
- 1:57Speaker 3: Six.
- 1:58Speaker 4: Yeah, but ben, let me make two to stayctions that
- 2:00Speaker 4: are important because it's easy to get these confused. Number One,
- 2:03Speaker 4: let's talk free speech. Yes, in the United States, the
- 2:07Speaker 4: First Amendment gives you the right to speech, to speak
- 2:10Speaker 4: and not to be criminally prosecuted for it, so you
- 2:13Speaker 4: can say the most horrible, hateful things. You do have
- 2:16Speaker 4: a First Amendment right to say unbelievably horrible, hateful things.
- 2:20Speaker 4: You can say that you are celebrating the murder of
- 2:23Speaker 4: Charlie Kirk or anyone else. In the First Amendment will
- 2:25Speaker 4: protect your ability to do so, which means the government
- 2:28Speaker 4: cannot come prosecute you and put you in jail for
- 2:31Speaker 4: saying that. The First Amendment does not mean that you
- 2:36Speaker 4: are immune from the consequences of your speech. And if
- 2:40Speaker 4: you say things that are horrible and hateful, it is
- 2:44Speaker 4: not uncommon for someone to be terminated. So, for example,
- 2:49Speaker 4: at a university, if a student goes and decides to
- 2:53Speaker 4: dress in a white robe as a clansman and burn
- 2:56Speaker 4: across and say that we should African American students, I
- 3:02Speaker 4: guarantee you that student will be expelled from school. Now,
- 3:06Speaker 4: you can't prosecute him. He as a First Amendment right
- 3:08Speaker 4: to do that. So that is not a criminal offense
- 3:10Speaker 4: to do that, correct, But the university should absolutely expel
- 3:15Speaker 4: him because of just how noxious those views are. The
- 3:20Speaker 4: same is true here when you have teachers that are
- 3:24Speaker 4: celebrating cold blooded murder. There are consequences for that, but
- 3:28Speaker 4: that's a distinction.
- 3:30Speaker 3: I'll point out.
- 3:30Speaker 4: Also, the president of the Oxford Union who debated Charlie
- 3:35Speaker 4: Kirk and is this vicious leftist. He put out a
- 3:39Speaker 4: tweet celebrating lets effing go, he said when Charlie Kirk
- 3:45Speaker 4: was shot. This is a guy who literally had one
- 3:46Speaker 4: on one debated against Charlie Kirk. And he is the
- 3:50Speaker 4: incoming president of the Oxford Union, which pretentiously describes itself
- 3:54Speaker 4: as the world's greatest debating society. Look, in my view,
- 4:00Speaker 4: this individual ought to be expelled from Oxford for the
- 4:04Speaker 4: same reason you would expel him if he were a
- 4:07Speaker 4: klansman burning across and saying, let's murder black students. Now,
- 4:12Speaker 4: the United Kingdom does not have the same First Amendment
- 4:15Speaker 4: that applies to it the way the United States does so. Actually,
- 4:18Speaker 4: in England, if he said that, he might well be
- 4:20Speaker 4: criminally prosecuted. I don't agree with criminally prosecuting speech. But
- 4:25Speaker 4: the First Amendment does not give you a get out
- 4:28Speaker 4: of jail free pass. Look, I promise you, any one
- 4:31Speaker 4: of you in your jobs, if you go in and
- 4:34Speaker 4: tell your boss go screw yourself.
- 4:36Speaker 3: Yeah, you're gonna get fired.
- 4:37Speaker 4: You will get fired. You have a first mount right
- 4:39Speaker 4: to say so, but he also has a right to
- 4:42Speaker 4: terminate you. But let me say secondly on this both sides,
- 4:44Speaker 4: is the media really wants to say, gosh, political violence,
- 4:48Speaker 4: it's a problem that just occurs everywhere. No right now
- 4:52Speaker 4: is it is heavily concentrated on the left, and the
- 4:56Speaker 4: left has normalized political violence. We saw two separate assassination
- 5:00Speaker 4: attempts of Donald Trump. We saw this tragically successful assassination
- 5:06Speaker 4: of Charlie kirk Over, and we saw for a year
- 5:09Speaker 4: Antifa and Black Lives Matter riots. And I want to
- 5:12Speaker 4: read you some polling results that were done last year,
- 5:17Speaker 4: and people were asked, would it be justified to murder
- 5:23Speaker 4: Elon Musk? And would it be justified to murder Donald Trump?
- 5:28Speaker 4: And those who were self described left of center, fifty
- 5:33Speaker 4: point two percent said it would be justified to murder
- 5:38Speaker 4: Elon Musk, and fifty six percent said it would be
- 5:42Speaker 4: justified to murder Donald Trump. That is. And and by
- 5:46Speaker 4: the way, the right of center numbers were fourteen point
- 5:48Speaker 4: three percent and twenty point three percent, So I wish
- 5:52Speaker 4: all those numbers were zero. But this is a problem
- 5:55Speaker 4: on the left. This is a problem when you define
- 5:59Speaker 4: you're a as Hitler, Nazi, evil fascist, that is a
- 6:04Speaker 4: permission structure to then say violence is an appropriate response,
- 6:09Speaker 4: and we need to see Democrats having the courage to
- 6:13Speaker 4: say enough is enough. Look. Bill Maher did a great
- 6:17Speaker 4: job where he's in his monologue. He said, let's be clear,
- 6:20Speaker 4: Donald Trump is not Hitler.
- 6:22Speaker 3: Stop saying that. Stop saying it.
- 6:24Speaker 1: Exactly well, and I think now they're realizing that using
- 6:27Speaker 1: the words fascist and Hitler and these types of things
- 6:30Speaker 1: has dissensitized people and advocated and allowed for this type
- 6:34Speaker 1: of violence to become reality. Where the big question people
- 6:38Speaker 1: were asking is what's next. I do want to say.
- 6:42Speaker 1: One thing that I think I've found incredibly comforting is
- 6:47Speaker 1: seeing how many young people are at colleges this weekend
- 6:51Speaker 1: over college football. We're putting up signs saying that they
- 6:54Speaker 1: are Charlie Kirk. The number of people that are following
- 6:57Speaker 1: him now on Instagram exploded by I'm not I don't
- 7:00Speaker 1: think I'm wrong. I think it's millions of people now
- 7:03Speaker 1: who are Then I think it is likely that more
- 7:05Speaker 1: people have listened to Charlie Kirk speak in the last
- 7:09Speaker 1: week than did in the entirety of his life.
- 7:12Speaker 3: Yeah, and that that's the silver lining.
- 7:16Speaker 4: His Christian testimony has become so powerful. I will say
- 7:20Speaker 4: his wife, Erica. The speech she gave this week reduced
- 7:24Speaker 4: me to tears. It was beautiful. God's anointing was upon
- 7:27Speaker 4: her as she did that. And a lot of people
- 7:30Speaker 4: who had never clicked on and watched Charlie Kirk say
- 7:33Speaker 4: anything this week did so and said, Hey, who is
- 7:35Speaker 4: this guy that touched so many people? I think a
- 7:39Speaker 4: lot of people chose to open their Bible and start
- 7:41Speaker 4: reading their Bible. A lot of people chose to go
- 7:42Speaker 4: to church. That is a great thing. That is something
- 7:45Speaker 4: I hope and believe we're going to see a lot
- 7:47Speaker 4: more of. And let me say in subsequent podcast, we're
- 7:50Speaker 4: going to talk about what's coming next. And here's one
- 7:54Speaker 4: of the most important things that that I am urging
- 7:57Speaker 4: the President, the Department of Justice, the FBI to do,
- 8:00Speaker 4: which is follow the money. Follow the money of everyone
- 8:03Speaker 4: that is pushing this leftist hatred that is pushing this violence.
- 8:07Speaker 4: There is real money that is going into these riots
- 8:10Speaker 4: on campus, that is going into funding ANTIFA, that is
- 8:12Speaker 4: going into funding Black Lives Matter, And we need to
- 8:15Speaker 4: this is not just one isolated lunatic in Utah. We
- 8:19Speaker 4: need to follow the money behind the radicalization that is
- 8:22Speaker 4: leading to people being so twisted and engaging in these
- 8:26Speaker 4: horrific acts of violence.
- 8:28Speaker 1: Now, if you want to hear the rest of this conversation,
- 8:31Speaker 1: you can go back and listen to the full podcast
- 8:33Speaker 1: from earlier this week. Now onto story number two, I
- 8:37Speaker 1: want to move to the text messages that have come out,
- 8:41Speaker 1: and it's very interesting to see all of the evidence
- 8:44Speaker 1: that is now we are seeing the transparency of these
- 8:47Speaker 1: text messages that were between the shooter and his transgendered boyfriend.
- 8:54Speaker 1: And I also want to say, there's some people that
- 8:57Speaker 1: are saying, oh, you're taking this hook line and sinker.
- 9:00Speaker 3: I don't know if they plan the text messages.
- 9:02Speaker 1: I don't know if this is him trying to protect
- 9:04Speaker 1: the roommate and act like the roommate knew nothing about it.
- 9:06Speaker 3: I'm sure they'll get to the bottom of that.
- 9:08Speaker 1: But what was shocking about this is how the media
- 9:12Speaker 1: decided to play it and romanticize their relationship through the
- 9:18Speaker 1: text messages and the weirdest, creepiest way I've ever seen
- 9:21Speaker 1: the mainstream media do this.
- 9:23Speaker 4: Yeah, look, I'm sorry to do this, but I'm going
- 9:25Speaker 4: to read you these text messages because they're horrifying. But
- 9:28Speaker 4: it makes clear there is no doubt that this murderer
- 9:32Speaker 4: is guilty. And by the way, there is a reason
- 9:35Speaker 4: I won't say the murderer's name, because anyone who engages
- 9:38Speaker 4: in a mass murder and horrific crime like this, part
- 9:41Speaker 4: of the reason they do this is they want to
- 9:43Speaker 4: be famous. I don't repeat these bastards name. I will
- 9:46Speaker 4: call him the murderer or the assassin or the defendant,
- 9:48Speaker 4: but I will not say his name. But the murderer
- 9:52Speaker 4: and his boyfriend we're exchanging, exchanging texts, and the murderer
- 9:57Speaker 4: left under a keyboard in their apartment a note saying
- 10:02Speaker 4: that he had the opportunity to kill Charlie Kirk and
- 10:05Speaker 4: he took it. And his boyfriend, who is a man
- 10:11Speaker 4: who is transgender and transitioning to be a woman, responded,
- 10:15Speaker 4: what with like a whole bunch of question marks? And
- 10:18Speaker 4: you're joking, right, And here's the exchange. The murderer says,
- 10:23Speaker 4: I'm still okay, my love, but I'm stuck in orum
- 10:26Speaker 4: for a little while. Longer shouldn't be long until I
- 10:29Speaker 4: can come home, But I got to grab my rifle still.
- 10:32Speaker 4: To be honest, I had hoped to keep this secret
- 10:34Speaker 4: till I died of old age. I'm sorry to involve you, boyfriend.
- 10:40Speaker 4: You weren't the one who did it, right for question marks, murderer,
- 10:46Speaker 4: I am, I'm sorry, boyfriend. I thought they caught the
- 10:51Speaker 4: person murderer. No, they grabbed some crazy old dude, then
- 10:56Speaker 4: interrogated someone in similar clothing. I plan to grab my
- 11:01Speaker 4: rifle from the drop point shortly after, but most of
- 11:04Speaker 4: that side of town got locked down. It's quiet, almost
- 11:07Speaker 4: enough to get out, but there's one vehicle lingering, Boyfriend.
- 11:12Speaker 4: Why murderer? Why did I do it? Boyfriend? Yeah, murderer.
- 11:20Speaker 4: I've had enough of his hatred. Some hate can't be
- 11:24Speaker 4: negotiated out. If I'm able to grab my rifle unseen,
- 11:28Speaker 4: I will have left no evidence. Going to attempt to
- 11:31Speaker 4: retrieve it again. Hopefully they have moved on. I haven't
- 11:35Speaker 4: seen anything about them finding it, Boyfriend. How long have
- 11:39Speaker 4: you been planning this, murderer, a bit over a week.
- 11:43Speaker 4: I believe I can get close to it, but there
- 11:46Speaker 4: is a squad car parked by it. I think they
- 11:48Speaker 4: already swept the spot, but I don't want to chance it.
- 11:53Speaker 1: Murderer.
- 11:54Speaker 4: I wish I had circled back and grabbed it as
- 11:56Speaker 4: soon as I got to my vehicle. I'm worried what
- 11:59Speaker 4: my old man would do if I didn't bring back
- 12:01Speaker 4: Grandpa's rifle. I don't know if it had a serial number,
- 12:06Speaker 4: but it wouldn't trace to me. I worry about Prince.
- 12:09Speaker 4: I had to leave it in the book bush where
- 12:11Speaker 4: I changed outfits. Didn't have the ability or time to
- 12:15Speaker 4: bring it with I might have to abandon it and
- 12:18Speaker 4: hope they don't find prints. How the f will I
- 12:21Speaker 4: explain losing it to my old man. Only thing I
- 12:25Speaker 4: left was the rifle wrapped in a towel. Remember how
- 12:29Speaker 4: I was engraving bullets. The effing messages are mostly a
- 12:33Speaker 4: big meme. If I see notices bulg'es uwu on Fox News,
- 12:41Speaker 4: I might have a stroke. All right, I'm going to
- 12:43Speaker 4: have to leave it. That really effing sucks. Those are
- 12:48Speaker 4: the text exchanges now, number one. Reading those text exchanges,
- 12:52Speaker 4: it is one hundred percent clear. It's not ninety nine percent,
- 12:55Speaker 4: it's not ninety eight percent. It's one hundred percent clear.
- 12:58Speaker 4: This defend is the murderer. He is the assassin. He
- 13:03Speaker 4: is confessing to his boyfriend, I did it. He is
- 13:07Speaker 4: confessing details of the crime that only the murderer would
- 13:11Speaker 4: would know. He will be convicted. He was charged today,
- 13:14Speaker 4: he will be convicted. But he is guilty today. Based
- 13:18Speaker 4: on that evidence, it is one hundred percent certain he
- 13:20Speaker 4: is guilty, and his motive is clear. You know, Caitlin
- 13:24Speaker 4: Collins and and CNN and MSNBC they say, we don't
- 13:28Speaker 4: know the motive. Maybe he just disliked tall people. Maybe
- 13:34Speaker 4: he was just you know, firing his gun and celebration
- 13:37Speaker 4: and it accidentally hit the throne.
- 13:38Speaker 1: A certainly somebody that was there excited just to see
- 13:41Speaker 1: Charlie Kirk, and it went off randomly.
- 13:43Speaker 4: Like the level of him. By the way, an idiot
- 13:46Speaker 4: commentator at MSNBC said, maybe it was a supporter of
- 13:49Speaker 4: Charlie Kirk firing his gun and celebration. Now thankfully that
- 13:52Speaker 4: commentator got fired for that idiocy. But the motive is
- 13:57Speaker 4: absolutely clear. He hated Charlie Kirk. He's a left wing
- 14:02Speaker 4: antifa activist, he's a transgender activist. He is sleeping with
- 14:06Speaker 4: a transgender man who is transitioning to be a woman.
- 14:11Speaker 4: And so the motive is that there's no ambiguity. But
- 14:13Speaker 4: CNN hates that motive. They cannot admit that's what happened.
- 14:17Speaker 4: Oh my goodness, that would undermine their entire political agenda.
- 14:21Speaker 4: So they desperately have to say the motive is unclear.
- 14:24Speaker 4: By the way, Caitlyn Collins said repeatedly, well, law enforcement
- 14:27Speaker 4: hasn't laid out the motive. Yes, they have. They repeatedly
- 14:29Speaker 4: laid out the motive. They said, it's a left wing
- 14:31Speaker 4: activist who's radicalized. The bullets had carved on the mantifa
- 14:35Speaker 4: and transgender messages. I mean, this is not subtle. He
- 14:39Speaker 4: was not hiding his motive. But I have to say,
- 14:43Speaker 4: as repulsive as CNN's reaction was, ABC's was worse. I
- 14:48Speaker 4: want you to listen.
- 14:49Speaker 3: Way worse, way worse. Like you can't overstate it.
- 14:53Speaker 4: Okay, I want you to listen to ABC News's reaction
- 14:58Speaker 4: to this text exchange between the murder and his transgender boyfriend. Here,
- 15:02Speaker 4: give a listen.
- 15:04Speaker 2: You have scene an alleged murder with such specific text
- 15:09Speaker 2: messages about the alleged murder weapon, where it was hidden,
- 15:13Speaker 2: how it was placed, what was on it. But also
- 15:15Speaker 2: it was very touching in a way that I think
- 15:17Speaker 2: many of us didn't expect, a very intimate portrait into
- 15:20Speaker 2: this relationship between the suspect's roommate and the suspect himself,
- 15:26Speaker 2: with him repeatedly calling his roommate who was transitioning, calling
- 15:30Speaker 2: him my love and I want to protect you, my love.
- 15:33Speaker 2: So it was this duality of someone who, the attorney said,
- 15:36Speaker 2: not only jeopardized the life of Charlie Kirk and the crowd,
- 15:39Speaker 2: but was doing it in front of children, which is
- 15:41Speaker 2: one of the aggravating circumstances of this case. And on
- 15:43Speaker 2: the other hand, he was speaking so lovingly about his partner,
- 15:47Speaker 2: so very interesting, as Pierre said, riveting press conference, David.
- 15:51Speaker 1: I love how they say it's a riveting press conference center.
- 15:54Speaker 1: It's riveting and just you know, he referred to him
- 15:57Speaker 1: as my love, and this is just so sweet and sincere.
- 16:00Speaker 1: It's like, what in the world are you guys doing
- 16:02Speaker 1: over there at ABC News with your special report, live.
- 16:05Speaker 4: Coverage, touching and loving? Oh these text messages. I've murdered
- 16:11Speaker 4: this person for you. Oh my love, Oh my love. Peter, patter, pitter, patter.
- 16:16Speaker 4: That is repulsive. It is repulsive that ABC News is
- 16:21Speaker 4: gushing over this psychopathic murderer and ABC News, oh they're
- 16:27Speaker 4: touching in sweet text messages. He is confessing to a
- 16:31Speaker 4: deliberate murder because he hates what somebody is saying. He
- 16:35Speaker 4: murdered a husband, he murdered a father of two little kids,
- 16:38Speaker 4: one boy, one girl, and and ABC News thinks it's
- 16:43Speaker 4: so sweet that he confessed to his transgender boyfriend, which
- 16:47Speaker 4: of course they call his roommate, even though he's calling
- 16:50Speaker 4: him my love, Like there's no ambiguity when you call
- 16:53Speaker 4: someone my love what exactly the relationship is? But ABC
- 16:58Speaker 4: News can not admit to them it is sweet and beautiful,
- 17:05Speaker 4: This radical leftist murdering Charlie Kirk, I got. I got
- 17:09Speaker 4: a message for you guys. It's it's not sweet and
- 17:11Speaker 4: it's not beautiful.
- 17:12Speaker 1: Yeah, by the way, side note on this, I don't
- 17:14Speaker 1: know if you knew this, but ten minutes after that,
- 17:17Speaker 1: like the internet exploded over it. They he went back
- 17:21Speaker 1: on and doubled down on it and basically did the
- 17:24Speaker 1: same thing again. Like, I'm not backing down from this.
- 17:27Speaker 1: I think it's genuine and sweet and sincere in a
- 17:30Speaker 1: love story.
- 17:31Speaker 4: You know what a romantic Romeo and Juliet story. You know,
- 17:35Speaker 4: psycho leftist murderer killing people because he's filled with hate.
- 17:39Speaker 4: I can't think of anything more beautiful than that. Certain
- 17:41Speaker 4: certainly ABC News is very persuasive.
- 17:43Speaker 3: In that regard.
- 17:44Speaker 1: Yeah, it'll be the face of the network before you
- 17:46Speaker 1: know it.
- 17:48Speaker 4: God help us. Did he really double down? Did he
- 17:50Speaker 4: really go back on air and do it again?
- 17:52Speaker 3: Yeah? Yes.
- 17:53Speaker 1: Do you want to hear it, because I've got it
- 17:54Speaker 1: if you want to hear So this is yes, this
- 17:56Speaker 1: is this is Mattman.
- 17:58Speaker 4: I haven't heard this, so play it for us.
- 18:00Speaker 1: So this is ten minutes after he said on ABC
- 18:03Speaker 1: News Live. It's heartbreaking on so many levels. Obviously, Charlie
- 18:07Speaker 1: Kirk was murdered brutally in front of a crowd of thousands.
- 18:09Speaker 1: On the other hand, there is this duality of every
- 18:11Speaker 1: portrait of a of a again his exact words of
- 18:15Speaker 1: a very like this is like love story.
- 18:18Speaker 3: Yeah, touching.
- 18:19Speaker 1: So this is this is ten minutes later after the internet.
- 18:23Speaker 1: And I have no doubt that he knew that there
- 18:25Speaker 1: was a problem, right, so he knew percent here he
- 18:29Speaker 1: is ten minutes later.
- 18:31Speaker 2: It is It's heartbreaking on so many levels, Kira. Obviously,
- 18:34Speaker 2: Charlie Kirk was murdered brutally in front of a crowd
- 18:37Speaker 2: of thousands of people who watched him being shot through
- 18:40Speaker 2: the neck and then essentially bleed out in front of them.
- 18:43Speaker 2: And I think one of the things that the attorney
- 18:45Speaker 2: here made a very fine point about is that a
- 18:47Speaker 2: lot of these charges seven charges were aggravated because children
- 18:52Speaker 2: were present, children witnessed this, children were put in harm's
- 18:56Speaker 2: way and that was something that obviously is aggravating here.
- 18:59Speaker 2: And that's what one of the reasons at this suspect,
- 19:00Speaker 2: in addition to the alleged murder being political in nature,
- 19:04Speaker 2: is facing the death penalty. They're going for the death penalty.
- 19:07Speaker 2: And on the other hand, there is this duality of
- 19:10Speaker 2: a very a portrait of a very human person, a
- 19:13Speaker 2: very human experience from this entire family, as you mentioned it,
- 19:16Speaker 2: the mother who essentially discovered that it was her son
- 19:20Speaker 2: who had done this, the kid who had got a
- 19:22Speaker 2: thirty four out of thirty six on the acts, who
- 19:25Speaker 2: had a four point zero, who got a full ride
- 19:27Speaker 2: to college here that that kid was the one who
- 19:30Speaker 2: allegedly perpetrated. She saw those pictures and said identify them essentially,
- 19:35Speaker 2: and then those text messages. And I don't think I've
- 19:37Speaker 2: ever experienced a press conference in which we've read text
- 19:39Speaker 2: messages that are aso fulsome so robust, so apparently allegedly
- 19:43Speaker 2: self incriminating, and yet on the other hand, so touching
- 19:46Speaker 2: right with the suspect reaching out to his roommate, who
- 19:50Speaker 2: is allegedly his boyfriend, who we understand, you know, identified
- 19:55Speaker 2: as male at birth now identifies as female, and the
- 20:00Speaker 2: anology he used he was trying to protect him. He
- 20:01Speaker 2: kept calling him my love, my my reason for doing
- 20:04Speaker 2: this is to protect you, you know, but also asking
- 20:07Speaker 2: him to delete the messages and not speak to law enforcement.
- 20:11Speaker 2: So there's this this heartbreaking duality that we're seeing very
- 20:14Speaker 2: tragically playing out.
- 20:16Speaker 3: If that's not doubling down, I don't know what.
- 20:18Speaker 4: Is fullsome touching loving it is.
- 20:23Speaker 3: I am breaking.
- 20:27Speaker 4: Look, I don't know who this particular reporter is, but
- 20:30Speaker 4: but I will say it's it says something that this
- 20:33Speaker 4: speaks to him in such a touching, moving way. I
- 20:38Speaker 4: see depraved maniacs who just committed cold blood and murder
- 20:42Speaker 4: and and and his boyfriend. His boyfriend is like not
- 20:45Speaker 4: not saying, dear God, what the hell did you do? Yeah,
- 20:47Speaker 4: he's just like, oh, oh, it was you, okay, you know,
- 20:51Speaker 4: And he didn't. The boyfriend never said there is anything
- 20:54Speaker 4: wrong with murdering Charlie Kirk. He was perfectly fine with it.
- 20:58Speaker 4: There ain't not nothing touch about these two psychopaths reveling
- 21:02Speaker 4: in their cold blooded murder, and for ABC to think
- 21:05Speaker 4: it is that really tells you how messed up ABC is.
- 21:09Speaker 1: As before, if you want to hear the rest of
- 21:11Speaker 1: this conversation on this topic, you can go back and
- 21:14Speaker 1: dow the podcast from earlier this week to hear the
- 21:16Speaker 1: entire thing. I want to get back to the big
- 21:20Speaker 1: story number three of the week you may have missed, Senator,
- 21:23Speaker 1: I want to get to something else that happened earlier
- 21:24Speaker 1: this week, and that was the questioning of the FBI Director,
- 21:28Speaker 1: Cash Battel. You had the opportunity to talk with Cash
- 21:31Speaker 1: on a number of different issues. Obviously one of them
- 21:34Speaker 1: that was in front of mine was the assassination of
- 21:38Speaker 1: our friend Charlie kirk Well.
- 21:40Speaker 4: Absolutely so. This week Cash Battel, the Director of the FBI,
- 21:43Speaker 4: testified in front of the Senate Judiciary Committee, and I
- 21:46Speaker 4: took the opportunity to question on a number of topics,
- 21:49Speaker 4: but front and center to urge Cash Battel to follow
- 21:53Speaker 4: the money and in particular to go after Antifa and
- 21:57Speaker 4: to designate Antifa as a terrorist organist. Here's the exchange
- 22:01Speaker 4: cash that I had. Give a listen. I want to
- 22:06Speaker 4: encourage you in the course of this investigation. Absolutely go
- 22:11Speaker 4: after anyone who aided and abedded, But I want to
- 22:13Speaker 4: more broadly encourage you follow the money. The violence we
- 22:19Speaker 4: are seeing is not purely organic. There is I believe,
- 22:26Speaker 4: significant money that is spreading dissension, that is spreading violence. Antifa.
- 22:35Speaker 4: Do you believe Antifa is a terrorist organization?
- 22:38Speaker 5: I believe Antifa is associated with a lot of violence
- 22:41Speaker 5: in this country. As to its designation, I'll leave that
- 22:43Speaker 5: today appropriate authorities.
- 22:45Speaker 4: So I would encourage the administration to designate Antifa as
- 22:48Speaker 4: a terrorist organization, to go systematically after Antifa that committed
- 22:52Speaker 4: acts of violence all over the country, and the shell
- 22:56Speaker 4: casings have multiple references to slogan that Antifa has popularized.
- 23:01Speaker 4: I believe there is considerable money funding it. I would
- 23:05Speaker 4: note that I've introduced legislation called the Stop Funders Act.
- 23:09Speaker 4: Stop Funders Act would add rioting to the list of
- 23:13Speaker 4: predicate offenses under RICO. I believe the money should be
- 23:17Speaker 4: fuck should be tracked and prosecuted under Rico, and both
- 23:23Speaker 4: the Antifa and Black Lives Matter riots of a couple
- 23:25Speaker 4: of years ago and the pro open border riots in
- 23:29Speaker 4: Los Angeles and other cities of this past year. I
- 23:33Speaker 4: believe there was significant money behind those riots. I'm not
- 23:37Speaker 4: the only person who noticed at the anti Semitic protest
- 23:41Speaker 4: and violent protests on college campuses that many of the
- 23:44Speaker 4: tents all matched. And so I would ask, would it
- 23:49Speaker 4: aid your ability to prosecute these matters if Congress passed
- 23:54Speaker 4: into law the Stop Funders Act and if rioting was
- 23:56Speaker 4: added to the list of predicate offenses for RICO, Yes,
- 24:03Speaker 4: talk to me about the efforts of the FBI to
- 24:07Speaker 4: go after the funders of the anti semitic protests on
- 24:12Speaker 4: college campuses, the pro open border protests in cities, and
- 24:17Speaker 4: potential LGBT violence. Talk to me about the efforts to
- 24:20Speaker 4: go after the money of those who are funding and
- 24:24Speaker 4: promoting violence.
- 24:25Speaker 5: As I've always said, Senator, money doesn't lie, and we've
- 24:27Speaker 5: been following the money. And so that's what we're doing,
- 24:29Speaker 5: issuing lawful process to organizations involved with criminal activity because
- 24:33Speaker 5: the money's got to come from somewhere and it has
- 24:35Speaker 5: to be funded somehow. So we have extensive investigations ongoing
- 24:38Speaker 5: into numerous organizations that are related to violent criminal activity.
- 24:44Speaker 4: Cutting off the money will make America much safer, and
- 24:47Speaker 4: that is the core job of the FBI. And I
- 24:49Speaker 4: thank you for doing your job.
- 24:51Speaker 1: Now, you look at what you just said there in
- 24:53Speaker 1: the back and forth, Centator, and this turned very quickly
- 24:56Speaker 1: into a new policy from the trum iministration as well.
- 25:01Speaker 3: That is the best news coming out of.
- 25:03Speaker 4: This, absolutely so. This testimony was on Tuesday. The very
- 25:09Speaker 4: next day, President Trump announced he was doing what I
- 25:12Speaker 4: was calling for, which is designating Antifa as a terrorist organization.
- 25:16Speaker 4: I'm going to read to you from Fox News. President
- 25:18Speaker 4: Donald Trump on Wednesday announced he will designate Antifa, a
- 25:22Speaker 4: left wing activist group, a major terrorist organization. Trump described
- 25:27Speaker 4: the group as quote a sick, dangerous, radical left disaster
- 25:32Speaker 4: in a truth social announcement, The president added that he
- 25:35Speaker 4: will be strongly recommending that those funding Antifa be thoroughly
- 25:40Speaker 4: investigated in coordance with the highest legal standards and practices.
- 25:44Speaker 4: The announcement comes just days after Trump said he would
- 25:47Speaker 4: one hundred percent consider the designation. Speaking to reporters in
- 25:52Speaker 4: the Oval Office Monday, Trump accused Antiva participants of being
- 25:55Speaker 4: quote professional agitators. In response to the administration's recent crackdown
- 26:00Speaker 4: on illegal immigration. Quote, Antifa is terrible, the President said,
- 26:04Speaker 4: these aren't protests. These are crimes that they're doing. They're
- 26:07Speaker 4: throwing bricks at cars of the Ice and Border Patrol.
- 26:11Speaker 4: They're professional agitators. They should be put in jail. What
- 26:14Speaker 4: they're doing in this country is really subversive. And I
- 26:17Speaker 4: will say this goes right to the heart of a
- 26:19Speaker 4: distinction that I've tried to lay it out layout repeatedly,
- 26:22Speaker 4: which is free speech is protected. You can say things
- 26:26Speaker 4: that are vile, that are hateful, that are horrible, that
- 26:29Speaker 4: we hate, and the First Amendment protects it. Conduct is
- 26:34Speaker 4: not protected. When you engage in violence, it is not protected.
- 26:38Speaker 4: What antifa is doing. Engaging in violence, engaging in harassment,
- 26:43Speaker 4: engaging in threats. That is not protected. And so what
- 26:47Speaker 4: I urge cash Bettel follow the money, go after the money.
- 26:52Speaker 4: And look, I believe there's money that is coming from
- 26:54Speaker 4: foreign nations. There's money that's coming from Cutter, there's money
- 26:57Speaker 4: that's coming from Iran. There may be money coming from
- 26:59Speaker 4: cut communists China. And there's also money coming from the
- 27:04Speaker 4: gazillionaire left wing funders of the Democrat Party, people like
- 27:07Speaker 4: George Soros at his entire organization that are funding these
- 27:12Speaker 4: radical organizations. And it's one thing to go and prosecute
- 27:16Speaker 4: the individual criminals. We should do that, sure, but if
- 27:19Speaker 4: you want to solve the problem. It's why I've introduced
- 27:22Speaker 4: the legislation, the Stop Funders Act, because RICO is an
- 27:25Speaker 4: incredibly powerful tool to prosecute not just an individual defendant,
- 27:30Speaker 4: but a criminal organization. And criminal organizations are usually structured
- 27:35Speaker 4: with a hub and spokes, and so following the money
- 27:39Speaker 4: is how you get the people writing checks that are
- 27:42Speaker 4: sitting in their Manhattan penthouses funding the anti American, anti Israel,
- 27:49Speaker 4: communist jihadist agitators that are destroying this country. And so
- 27:54Speaker 4: I got to say, I was really encouraged. I've been
- 27:56Speaker 4: pressing in the first Trump administration, pressed for years for
- 28:03Speaker 4: the first Trump administration to designate Antifa as a terrorist organization.
- 28:08Speaker 4: There was a lot of openness to that argument, but
- 28:10Speaker 4: it never succeeded. They never did it this time. When
- 28:13Speaker 4: I pressed on Tuesday, the next day, the President came
- 28:16Speaker 4: out and said, We're going to do that. That's exactly
- 28:18Speaker 4: the right thing to do.
- 28:20Speaker 1: Yeah, it is big, it's going to be really important.
- 28:22Speaker 1: It's going to have a huge impact. Going forward. That
- 28:26Speaker 1: may be the best part of all. And of course
- 28:28Speaker 1: you know you're doing some right when the left is
- 28:29Speaker 1: losing their mind. They're saying, oh, this is the president
- 28:31Speaker 1: trying to silence political organizations. I'm sorry, they're not a
- 28:36Speaker 1: political organization terrorist organization. There's a big difference between a
- 28:41Speaker 1: political organization and a terrorist organization, and Antifa has all
- 28:47Speaker 1: the markings as you described to have a terrorist organization
- 28:50Speaker 1: going all the way back to twenty sixteen when you're
- 28:52Speaker 1: first we're calling for this.
- 28:54Speaker 4: If you engage in violence, it is not speech. Violence
- 28:57Speaker 4: is not speech. And by the way, anyone who commits
- 29:00Speaker 4: violence should be prosecuted and go to jail. And that's
- 29:02Speaker 4: true whether you're left wing or right wing. I might
- 29:04Speaker 4: agree with what you're saying, but if you engage in violence,
- 29:07Speaker 4: that is not acceptable. Speech is different from violence. We
- 29:11Speaker 4: how to protect speech and we how to prosecute violence
- 29:14Speaker 4: that put the violent criminals in jail.
