- 1:46Speaker 2: the word.
- 1:47Speaker 1: Of the mony.
- 1:48Speaker 5: Yup, come.
- 1:58Speaker 1: Come out? You think that, Uh huh, I sure will.
- 2:03Speaker 1: Good morning everybody.
- 2:04Speaker 6: You are listening to the voice, Come on dig me now,
- 2:08Speaker 6: one and only Steve Harvey got a radio show, you
- 2:12Speaker 6: know today. I was thinking of what I would say
- 2:14Speaker 6: today and it just dawned on me this way, and
- 2:18Speaker 6: I just want to share this with everybody listening. You've
- 2:20Speaker 6: got to get some help to make it through life.
- 2:24Speaker 6: I cannot imagine where I would be if it was
- 2:27Speaker 6: not for the help of my God, if it wasn't
- 2:31Speaker 6: for his grace and mercy, if I did not have
- 2:34Speaker 6: the ability to lean on him and all the times
- 2:38Speaker 6: I've had to lean on him, which has become a
- 2:41Speaker 6: daily basis. I have no idea where I would be,
- 2:44Speaker 6: but clearly I know for a matter of fact, I
- 2:47Speaker 6: would not be here today. You have got to get
- 2:50Speaker 6: some help to get through this thing called life. I
- 2:53Speaker 6: am begging you to look into it. Man, you've got
- 2:56Speaker 6: to form a relationship with God. Without a relie relationship
- 3:00Speaker 6: with God, this thing called life is daunting at times.
- 3:03Speaker 1: I don't care who you are.
- 3:05Speaker 6: I know I'm speaking the truth right now, because listen,
- 3:09Speaker 6: no matter who you are, what job title you have,
- 3:13Speaker 6: what aspirations you may have, I don't care what your
- 3:16Speaker 6: educational background is or is not.
- 3:19Speaker 1: It does not matter.
- 3:21Speaker 6: If you don't get a real relationship going on with God,
- 3:24Speaker 6: I don't see how you can make it. So many
- 3:26Speaker 6: people are faking in fronting out here like they got
- 3:29Speaker 6: it going on, and you don't know, And you really
- 3:32Speaker 6: don't know how many people that you think in your
- 3:35Speaker 6: neighborhood had it going on because you saw a car
- 3:37Speaker 6: pull up in the driveway, or they house look bigger,
- 3:40Speaker 6: or the grass is cutting nicer, and you only find
- 3:43Speaker 6: out that a foreclosure.
- 3:45Speaker 1: Side on they house too. See, you don't know.
- 3:48Speaker 6: The mask that people put on to parade around in
- 3:51Speaker 6: is for appearance sakes. So a lot of people you
- 3:54Speaker 6: looking at that you think got it going on. Who
- 3:57Speaker 6: might be the pattern of success that you want a
- 3:59Speaker 6: try you got to be real careful with that because
- 4:02Speaker 6: it may not be as it appears to be. But
- 4:05Speaker 6: one thing is for sure, no matter what's going on
- 4:08Speaker 6: in your life, I know that behind whatever mask I'm wearing,
- 4:14Speaker 6: or I realized, no matter what the appearances may be,
- 4:18Speaker 6: that on the other side of me, I'm gonna be
- 4:21Speaker 6: just fine.
- 4:22Speaker 1: See.
- 4:22Speaker 6: You may be outwardly people hating on you, talking about you,
- 4:27Speaker 6: dragging your name through the mud. Look, man, people can
- 4:30Speaker 6: say stuff about you. Most people talking about you don't
- 4:33Speaker 6: even know you. They just participating in it. You can
- 4:36Speaker 6: have that appearance going on, but behind you, within you,
- 4:41Speaker 6: if you have a relationship with God, it don't matter
- 4:44Speaker 6: because you can be all right. I've seen it get
- 4:47Speaker 6: real stormy on the outside for me, but on the
- 4:49Speaker 6: inside I just had to feel and I was gonna
- 4:52Speaker 6: be all right.
- 4:53Speaker 1: See.
- 4:53Speaker 6: That's what the relationship gives you, man. It gives you
- 4:57Speaker 6: the confidence to know that the things that you're going
- 5:00Speaker 6: through a temporary that is just the space that you
- 5:03Speaker 6: happen to be in. Like I said the other day,
- 5:05Speaker 6: you got to remember something. The road to success is
- 5:09Speaker 6: always under construction. You might as well get ready for
- 5:12Speaker 6: that if you plan it on changing, getting better, doing
- 5:16Speaker 6: something about your health. If you decide, hey, look, I
- 5:20Speaker 6: just would like to live a longer, more prosperous life,
- 5:23Speaker 6: or hey, I want to make X amount of dollars,
- 5:25Speaker 6: or hey man, I'm gonna stop staying out in these
- 5:27Speaker 6: streets and I'm gonna come home and treat my family
- 5:30Speaker 6: way they ought to be treated. I don't care what
- 5:31Speaker 6: decision you make. When you strike out on that road
- 5:35Speaker 6: to success, it's under construction, partner. That's barrels out there,
- 5:39Speaker 6: there's wide turns, there's detours.
- 5:42Speaker 1: You know.
- 5:43Speaker 6: It's me and out there holding signs saying slow down.
- 5:46Speaker 6: Sometimes they put the stop sign up. You got to
- 5:49Speaker 6: wait and watch people go by you on the other side.
- 5:52Speaker 6: Then before you can take off again. You've all been
- 5:55Speaker 6: on the road with construction on it. It can be
- 5:58Speaker 6: so frustrating and old time you on that road. I
- 6:02Speaker 6: know when I'm on the road we can under construction.
- 6:04Speaker 6: I'm always thinking of an alternative path. I ain't ever
- 6:09Speaker 6: set in traffic under construction, man, and thought of if
- 6:13Speaker 6: I get off on this exit, where would it take me?
- 6:16Speaker 6: Not knowing, but just man, could I keep moving if
- 6:19Speaker 6: I go that way? That's a dangerous thing. Sometimes see
- 6:23Speaker 6: because oftentimes when we get off the road to success
- 6:26Speaker 6: and we take that other path, we get further and
- 6:29Speaker 6: further off course. Because wasn't no detools signed for that,
- 6:32Speaker 6: Just a decision I made on my own because I
- 6:34Speaker 6: don't like sitting here sometimes I don't have the patience
- 6:37Speaker 6: I ought to have, so I've taken some what I
- 6:39Speaker 6: thought might be shortcuts. But I got to tell you something,
- 6:43Speaker 6: ain't no shortcuts on the road to success. Even the
- 6:45Speaker 6: detour signs wind up taking you a little bit out
- 6:48Speaker 6: your way. And look background. I remember one time I
- 6:51Speaker 6: was coming from Las Vegas and that was some type
- 6:54Speaker 6: of chemical spill in a truck and you could all
- 7:00Speaker 6: almost see the smoke up ahead in very faint. So
- 7:04Speaker 6: they detoreed us through the desert and we had to
- 7:07Speaker 6: go all the way around, and I drove, man like
- 7:10Speaker 6: an hour and a half out of the way. And
- 7:12Speaker 6: when they entered us back on the freeway where we
- 7:15Speaker 6: were to go back to La as soon as I
- 7:18Speaker 6: got it that exit to get back on the freeway,
- 7:20Speaker 6: I looked right there and there the accident was. Now
- 7:24Speaker 6: it was an hour and a half hour forty five
- 7:27Speaker 6: all the way around in that desert, to get back
- 7:30Speaker 6: to almost the same place. But it was the best
- 7:34Speaker 6: way to go because see, that was the route to take.
- 7:38Speaker 6: And that's what you got to understand about trying to
- 7:40Speaker 6: make the right decision to be successful, that the road
- 7:43Speaker 6: to success is always under construction. You're gonna have to
- 7:47Speaker 6: go round a little bit, so quick, stop being impatient
- 7:50Speaker 6: with I don't want to go around. I'm gonna go
- 7:52Speaker 6: this way. You go that way if you want to
- 7:53Speaker 6: just follow the detour science. See, because somebody that came
- 7:57Speaker 6: up this road before you have travel the road already
- 8:02Speaker 6: and they took the way around, and yeah, it seemed
- 8:04Speaker 6: like it's a longer way, and you want to make
- 8:06Speaker 6: that other decision. But stay on the road to success.
- 8:10Speaker 6: It's under construction, man, that's just the way it goes.
- 8:13Speaker 6: Don't lose your patience and try to create a shortcut
- 8:16Speaker 6: for yourself. I'm gonna go away. Ain't nobody ever gone way?
- 8:19Speaker 6: Hold up, Pardoner, you really think you're gonna do that?
- 8:21Speaker 1: Listen.
- 8:22Speaker 6: There's oftentimes a lot of rewards when you go the
- 8:25Speaker 6: least travel path, but the road to success is the
- 8:29Speaker 6: least travel path. That's what you keep getting mixed up.
- 8:32Speaker 6: You keep thinking if you go another way. No, No,
- 8:35Speaker 6: stay on the road to success. That is the least
- 8:38Speaker 6: travel path. It's under construction. You can go out there
- 8:41Speaker 6: with your machete if you want to talking about cutting
- 8:44Speaker 6: new trails. You think the road to success is under construction,
- 8:49Speaker 6: take the other route and get that machete out and
- 8:52Speaker 6: see how long you be out there trying to cut
- 8:54Speaker 6: a path. Sometimes, Man, you just got to stay patient.
- 8:58Speaker 6: The road to success has been before by millions of
- 9:01Speaker 6: people in front of you, everybody that has some setbacks
- 9:05Speaker 6: in life. But don't get off the road to success
- 9:07Speaker 6: just because you having some setbacks, just because you see
- 9:10Speaker 6: some orange barrels up, just because there's some men out
- 9:12Speaker 6: there with vest on what they got to do with you? Everybody,
- 9:16Speaker 6: everybody that's trying to be successful, is on that road.
- 9:20Speaker 6: Your relationship with God helps you guide yourself around the barrels.
- 9:26Speaker 6: It helps you have the patience to go around that way.
- 9:30Speaker 6: He gonna get you back where you gotta be. But
- 9:32Speaker 6: you got to go out there so you can learn
- 9:34Speaker 6: some things. See, you need God to make it in
- 9:38Speaker 6: life because the road to success is always under construction.
- 9:43Speaker 6: He calms you down when the barrels is up. He
- 9:46Speaker 6: lets you know it's gonna be all right. He rewards
- 9:49Speaker 6: you with the patience to finish because he gonna get
- 9:51Speaker 6: you right back where you need to be and you
- 9:54Speaker 6: can get on which way you is going.
- 9:55Speaker 1: Okay, all right, y'all, we're gonna try that today. You're
- 9:58Speaker 1: listeners to Steve every morning show. Ladies and gentlemen. You
- 10:06Speaker 1: know what, again and again again back in love.
- 10:13Speaker 6: Yeah, that's I You know, I just went there sometimes, man,
- 10:17Speaker 6: you know, like I don't. I don't know if you
- 10:20Speaker 6: all know how this is to have a mind where
- 10:26Speaker 6: it's something wrong with you and you have to try
- 10:29Speaker 6: to you know, you have to try to manage it.
- 10:33Speaker 6: Like that's what I'm doing today. I'm trying to manage it.
- 10:37Speaker 6: And I know, I know it's something throughout. Here's a
- 10:38Speaker 6: true story. When I was a little boy, like eleven,
- 10:42Speaker 6: my mother took me to Friday night prayer and would
- 10:46Speaker 6: make me stand in the line that had a pass
- 10:48Speaker 6: to touch my head to try to fix me because
- 10:51Speaker 6: my mama say, he just he say whatever on his mind.
- 10:55Speaker 6: He don't know how to stop, and it's gonna it's
- 10:57Speaker 6: gonna get my son in trouble, and he just I
- 11:00Speaker 6: don't know, but he thinks so different, Pastor, that he
- 11:04Speaker 6: different from all the kids I've had. I'm the youngest one,
- 11:07Speaker 6: and he different from all his friends. And the pastor
- 11:10Speaker 6: would touch me in the hand, and I was going
- 11:11Speaker 6: wasting your time. I couldn't tell that to my mother,
- 11:17Speaker 6: but I wanted to tell her stop bringing me down here,
- 11:19Speaker 6: because this is how I am, because I clearly didn't
- 11:23Speaker 6: see nothing wrong. But as I've gotten old, I've understood
- 11:27Speaker 6: that there is something wrong with me. Yes, and there
- 11:29Speaker 6: is no cure for it. And okay, but let me
- 11:33Speaker 6: let me bring him in here. Shirley Strawberry calling for
- 11:35Speaker 6: a Mississippi Monica Junior and the legend that is nephew.
- 11:38Speaker 1: Tell me what is wrong with me? But it's working
- 11:43Speaker 1: out for you, though it's working really well for you.
- 11:46Speaker 7: It's yeah, yeah, a great life behind something being something
- 11:52Speaker 7: wrong with you.
- 11:53Speaker 1: Yeah. And man, that's why, that's why I can't.
- 11:56Speaker 6: I cannot figure out, for the life of me, why
- 12:00Speaker 6: everybody thought it was something.
- 12:02Speaker 1: Wrong when clearly, clearly it has been a gift. Can
- 12:08Speaker 1: I ask you something up.
- 12:11Speaker 8: About what age did you realize something was really wrong about?
- 12:14Speaker 8: What age was that I knew? I knew I was
- 12:16Speaker 8: having trouble around eight.
- 12:19Speaker 5: Eight eight.
- 12:20Speaker 1: It's when I knew I was. I was on Struggle
- 12:23Speaker 1: Street exactly.
- 12:28Speaker 6: School school began to I was questioning school early at Yeah,
- 12:35Speaker 6: we talked about I didn't.
- 12:37Speaker 1: I didn't understand that even after you know, I was
- 12:44Speaker 1: in what you mean you was in the regular room?
- 12:48Speaker 6: Now, mistake, It's okay, it's okay, it's okay. Who he
- 12:53Speaker 6: got a college degree? Where we're anyway?
- 12:55Speaker 1: So now here.
- 13:01Speaker 6: I did get put in special head one time, and
- 13:04Speaker 6: it was by mistake, so they put me in special head.
- 13:09Speaker 6: I was in there for four weeks before they discovered
- 13:11Speaker 6: they had misplaced me.
- 13:12Speaker 1: But it was the greatest four weeks of skins I've
- 13:14Speaker 1: ever had.
- 13:16Speaker 6: Straight A's pop quiz, Got it?
- 13:22Speaker 1: I said on what is for Port four? Hey, I
- 13:28Speaker 1: couldn't quit it.
- 13:29Speaker 6: I was gonna, man, this is the best class I
- 13:33Speaker 6: know all this stuff?
- 13:35Speaker 1: All right? Just say it? What is five plus two?
- 13:38Speaker 1: That's something? All right?
- 13:41Speaker 9: They're clearly is something wrong with you? Coming up next
- 13:44Speaker 9: pastors with the word. Right after this, you're listening Harvey

- 14:43Speaker 6: realizing that over staciousness and propaguity is one of the
- 14:52Speaker 6: causes of the interpretation.
- 14:57Speaker 1: That we.
- 14:59Speaker 6: Do what we do dutifully, understanding that it is but
- 15:05Speaker 6: one way.
- 15:07Speaker 11: Forward.

- 17:45Speaker 1: my mond? It ain't nothing ever? Less to do? Said
- 17:49Speaker 1: up to do it? Why we don't read?
- 17:52Speaker 7: I've had my share of lovers, and some say I'm I'm.
- 17:58Speaker 1: Good shop right now? You know who I am?

- 18:46Speaker 7: Get it hur because you keep telling me this and
- 18:51Speaker 7: telling me that. You say, once I'm with you, I'll

- 18:58Speaker 1: Stop right there.
- 18:59Speaker 6: Yeah, you running your mouth, You keep telling me this
- 19:07Speaker 6: and telling me that.
- 19:11Speaker 1: But little hell, once you with me, you ain't going back.

- 19:51Speaker 1: here and you ain't going back talking about what you're gonna.
- 19:56Speaker 5: Do to me.
- 19:57Speaker 1: I ain't going no where.

- 20:38Speaker 6: just me and you.
- 20:40Speaker 7: Read so many things I can do to you, and
- 20:43Speaker 7: so many ways I can.
- 20:45Speaker 6: Please, so many things I don't do to you, so
- 20:51Speaker 6: many ways I can please you. But know thing, it's
- 20:56Speaker 6: all going down with just me and you. I don't

- 21:37Speaker 1: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Do you
- 21:44Speaker 1: think astronauts fight over elbow room?
- 21:47Speaker 6: Probably because advanced tech doesn't always mean more space. Until now,
- 21:52Speaker 6: introduce it the Handai Ionic nine, a three.
- 21:55Speaker 1: Row electric suv with over three.
- 21:57Speaker 6: Hundred miles of rage ultra has charging capability and lots
- 22:02Speaker 6: of space.
- 22:02Speaker 7: The all new Hondai Ionic nine face in an ev.
- 22:06Speaker 7: Visit Hondai USA dot com for more details. EPA estimated
- 22:09Speaker 7: rings for owning nine based on fully charged batteries for
- 22:11Speaker 7: comparison purpose only. Actual rings will vary based on several factors.
- 22:15Speaker 10: Coming up at the top of the hour.
- 22:17Speaker 9: In Entertainment News, we will recap the weekend's trending topics
- 22:21Speaker 9: and top news stories. Of course, we'll have a great
- 22:23Speaker 9: show for you today. That's all coming up at the
- 22:26Speaker 9: top of the hour. But right now it is time
- 22:29Speaker 9: to ask the clo our chief Love Officer, Steve Harvey,
- 22:33Speaker 9: right here in the building. All right, This is from
- 22:36Speaker 9: Dion in Memphis. Dion writes, I'm dating a man that
- 22:40Speaker 9: is getting divorced. He told his oldest daughter about me
- 22:44Speaker 9: and gave her my number so we could talk.
- 22:47Speaker 10: He said she has.
- 22:48Speaker 9: A problem with me because I'm only two years older
- 22:51Speaker 9: than she is. Now, Am I obligated to meet with
- 22:54Speaker 9: his daughter?
- 22:55Speaker 6: Well, you're not obligated, but it seems like he gets
- 23:00Speaker 6: so much pushback that he'd then probably said to his daughter, Hey, look,
- 23:04Speaker 6: she's a wonderful person. You need to meet her because
- 23:08Speaker 6: she's really on my side. Because your daughter's going what
- 23:12Speaker 6: she want with you, because your daughter don't see you
- 23:15Speaker 6: as a sex son. Right, your daughter don't thank you
- 23:19Speaker 6: for your daddy knows hers her daddy. Now she's trying
- 23:22Speaker 6: to figure out what this girl won't with you, and
- 23:25Speaker 6: so you're not obligated to meet with her, but I
- 23:29Speaker 6: think it would be in your best interest to just
- 23:32Speaker 6: sit with her now. It shouldn't change anything, but you
- 23:36Speaker 6: could just appease her and sit down and say, look,
- 23:39Speaker 6: I know this sounds strange for you, but I really
- 23:42Speaker 6: do love your father and he.
- 23:45Speaker 1: Is so kind to me.
- 23:47Speaker 6: I've never listened what I want to do, and I'm
- 23:49Speaker 6: here because I love it, not because of what he has.
- 23:52Speaker 1: But her daddy got some money to.
- 23:55Speaker 6: Yeah, you don't get an old man because he owed.
- 24:00Speaker 1: Uh huh, that's not what you get.
- 24:02Speaker 6: Him for, right, Okay, all right, you get an old man,
- 24:05Speaker 6: because he might be still holding looking good.
- 24:08Speaker 1: But you're looking for stability, security, stability. You're right, all right?
- 24:14Speaker 10: Moving on.
- 24:14Speaker 9: Moving on to Louise and Detroit. Louise writes, the guy
- 24:19Speaker 9: at the cell phone repair place told me that my
- 24:22Speaker 9: husband was tracking me through an app on my phone.
- 24:25Speaker 9: I had the app removed and I asked my husband
- 24:28Speaker 9: why he's tracking me? He said, for safety reasons. Was
- 24:32Speaker 9: he being sweet or creepy?
- 24:36Speaker 6: Well, he's being sweet, he said, for safety reasons, which
- 24:40Speaker 6: is a really good reason. One of a man's top
- 24:44Speaker 6: things is to protect, provide, and process and a profess.
- 24:51Speaker 6: This is the protection part and the provision part. Now,
- 24:56Speaker 6: why is that being creepy? And why do you care
- 24:59Speaker 6: that he's tracking car?
- 25:01Speaker 1: What's happening? Hello? Hello, good question. Hello.
- 25:08Speaker 6: I think most women wouldn't mind their husband tracking him.
- 25:11Speaker 6: At least my man know where I'm at. I wouldn't
- 25:14Speaker 6: have a problem.
- 25:14Speaker 1: With to that.
- 25:15Speaker 9: Okay, all right, So he was being sweeper, saying all right.
- 25:19Speaker 9: Moving on to Fay in Columbus, they writes, My forty
- 25:23Speaker 9: eight year old husband has an obsession with crocs. He
- 25:26Speaker 9: wears them to work and even to church.
- 25:29Speaker 10: He even has.
- 25:30Speaker 9: Croc slippers that he wears at home. Our ten year
- 25:34Speaker 9: old son loves them too. How do I get my
- 25:36Speaker 9: husband to wear real shoes?
- 25:39Speaker 10: What is happening?
- 25:40Speaker 1: Your husband crazy?
- 25:44Speaker 10: He loves him some crocks, crocs.
- 25:46Speaker 1: May be comfortable. I've never had on the path.
- 25:50Speaker 6: I just can't look at him and imagine them on me.
- 25:55Speaker 6: And I know a lot of people that wear them.
- 25:57Speaker 6: There's nothing wrong with him. That's not an item for me.
- 26:01Speaker 6: I'm not wearing them to work to church. Yeah, no,
- 26:06Speaker 6: you ain't got no church shoes for I know times
- 26:11Speaker 6: is different, but I had church shoes.
- 26:13Speaker 1: Yeah, we all did. You're right you're wearing crocs to
- 26:17Speaker 1: the airport. Yeah, I like her everywhere.
- 26:21Speaker 10: They're comfortable, right, I don't have any, but yeah, they're comfortable.
- 26:25Speaker 1: Yeah, crocs are comfortable. That's comfortable.
- 26:29Speaker 9: So maybe he just wants his feet to be comfortable
- 26:32Speaker 9: at all times, Steve.
- 26:33Speaker 6: So she's gonna you know, he got bad feet, he
- 26:37Speaker 6: got bad feet, or he cheat.
- 26:40Speaker 1: Wanted you to.
- 26:42Speaker 9: But yeah, so she's You don't think she's ever gonna
- 26:45Speaker 9: be able to get him out of those and get
- 26:46Speaker 9: him to wear some.
- 26:48Speaker 10: Dress shoes, as you say, church shoes.
- 26:51Speaker 6: I don't know, but I gotta get some other I
- 26:54Speaker 6: can't wear crocs everywhere. Our crocs don't look nothing. Crocs
- 26:58Speaker 6: don't look good with nothing, now, own.
- 27:01Speaker 10: You should try it. Though, you should try, You might
- 27:04Speaker 10: start a trend, Steve, you.
- 27:05Speaker 1: Would, well, Shirley, have you ever tried it?
- 27:08Speaker 10: I have not.
- 27:09Speaker 9: I'm not.
- 27:12Speaker 1: Calling you have a pet? Yes I do? She did, Yeah, yeah,
- 27:16Speaker 1: tell me you got you got no shoes. I'm finna decorate.
- 27:22Speaker 1: No I don't. So I'm putting a bleing on my shoes.
- 27:27Speaker 1: My shoes ain't got no bling on them.
- 27:29Speaker 6: For a reason, I considered the crocks with and the
- 27:32Speaker 6: ones I do have.
- 27:35Speaker 1: Junie, you got some crocks.
- 27:39Speaker 10: I considered the ones with the heel.
- 27:42Speaker 12: Oh yeah, Monica, Yes, yeah, you're not gonna judge just
- 27:48Speaker 12: about our crocked.
- 27:50Speaker 1: I'm not gonna have it. I just think it's the
- 27:53Speaker 1: other shoe period.
- 28:00Speaker 9: But anyway, so yeah, it might be a lost cause
- 28:03Speaker 9: with her, all right? Moving on last one, Steve to
- 28:06Speaker 9: Jacob in Greensboro. Jacob writes, my girlfriend moved in and
- 28:10Speaker 9: has taken over my home. She's replacing my furniture and
- 28:14Speaker 9: donated my memory foam mattress. That was expensive because she
- 28:18Speaker 9: said other ladies have slept on it. How do I
- 28:21Speaker 9: reason with her about my belongings?
- 28:25Speaker 6: Well, bru at mattress, you gotta understand that one. And
- 28:29Speaker 6: she redecorating a home. What do you want a woman
- 28:32Speaker 6: to do? A woman gonna come in the house and
- 28:34Speaker 6: put a woman's touch on it. Yeah, Now, if you
- 28:36Speaker 6: didn't want to live in with you don't. But let
- 28:38Speaker 6: me let me explain something to you.
- 28:39Speaker 1: Bro.
- 28:41Speaker 6: She either gonna get comfortable in that Are you gonna
- 28:45Speaker 6: have a problem?
- 28:46Speaker 9: M h.
- 28:47Speaker 6: So you want her at the house, she gonna make
- 28:50Speaker 6: it a home. My father taught me valuable lesson when
- 28:53Speaker 6: I was going up. He says, son, it's your job
- 28:55Speaker 6: to buy a house. It's her job to turn it
- 28:58Speaker 6: into a home. Stay out of that business. Let her
- 29:03Speaker 6: turn it into the home. Because when somebody come over
- 29:06Speaker 6: and say, man, yo, his house look crazy.
- 29:08Speaker 1: What's she doing? She gonna she has to take full.
- 29:11Speaker 6: Blame for that, because that's the standards we live in.
- 29:16Speaker 6: If a man living in a jacked up house and
- 29:18Speaker 6: a woman is in there, they're gonna blame her every time.
- 29:23Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 29:25Speaker 6: So, man, so she picking out furniture because she want
- 29:28Speaker 6: to be comfortable in that.
- 29:29Speaker 1: So when people come over, it's gonna have her touch
- 29:30Speaker 1: on it.
- 29:31Speaker 6: If you didn't want the woman that my things is gone,
- 29:35Speaker 6: it's our things now, and our things they ain't gonna
- 29:38Speaker 6: stay in here because the other half hour don't like it. Yeah, yeah,
- 29:46Speaker 6: and you're finna learn real fast and hour stuff at
- 29:49Speaker 6: the house is really just heard her. Yeah, your closet,
- 29:58Speaker 6: it's hers.
- 30:00Speaker 1: We need room. I don't understand the problem. Yeah, yeah,
- 30:06Speaker 1: I gave you a little space. I'm telling you. I'm
- 30:08Speaker 1: just telling you good school.
- 30:11Speaker 10: See that's true.
- 30:13Speaker 8: New Absolutely, you know. I go into another room to
- 30:16Speaker 8: get dressed. I don't have a closet in the room.
- 30:19Speaker 1: And you never will. Yeah, you never will. You got
- 30:22Speaker 1: no fishing, You ain't got nowhere to put the hell
- 30:26Speaker 1: is going on? Coming up at the top of the hour,
- 30:30Speaker 1: we'll have.
- 30:31Speaker 9: Some entertainment news for you right after this. You're listening
- 30:35Speaker 9: Harvey Morning Show. School is out now, uh for mostly everybody. Now,
- 30:44Speaker 9: So let's help out anyone that might be taking a
- 30:48Speaker 9: road trip with their family, small children, or just by themselves. Steve,
- 30:53Speaker 9: you've traveled all across the country, and so have you,

- 31:30Speaker 6: much as you can.
- 31:34Speaker 7: Yeah, I've turned into the guy that's got to go
- 31:37Speaker 7: every thirty minutes.

- 31:57Speaker 6: open and back door. It's trying to stand there, look
- 32:00Speaker 6: like I'm looking at something down in that ravine when
- 32:02Speaker 6: I'm really standing in that pia Oh.
- 32:06Speaker 1: Is that what it is?
- 32:08Speaker 10: That's the main one, obviously, how it works? What other dudes?
- 32:13Speaker 10: And don'ts any other ones?
- 32:16Speaker 1: Oh?
- 32:16Speaker 10: That was a don't what's a dude?

- 38:51Speaker 8: The weekend was called the Saint June Celebration the Hope
- 38:54Speaker 8: and it brought together new and long standing partners in radio,
- 38:57Speaker 8: in entertainment, in business, and in religion. It was my
- 39:01Speaker 8: first year attending the Celebration of Hope, and I really
- 39:04Speaker 8: had a great time. It was really one of the
- 39:05Speaker 8: things that we had so many entertainers like we had.
- 39:07Speaker 8: I saw CC Winings performed. They had Salt Pepper from
- 39:11Speaker 8: Salt and Pepper.
- 39:12Speaker 1: There, they had a whole they had a whole thing.
- 39:14Speaker 1: And I'm telling you something.

- 41:08Speaker 9: minutes after the hour, she is here, Sister Odell, right
- 41:12Speaker 9: after this.
- 41:13Speaker 1: What's going on?
- 41:14Speaker 15: Greetings inside you textions everybody, This is neo when you
- 41:16Speaker 15: are locked into the best morning show ALREADYO. You know
- 41:19Speaker 15: I'm talking about Steve Harvey Morning Show. Keep it locked
- 41:21Speaker 15: right here. You're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right,
- 41:30Speaker 15: ladies and gentlemen, as promised.
- 41:35Speaker 1: Here gish me.
- 41:39Speaker 6: He all always holding mine, no jee, good morning's everyone's I.
- 41:52Speaker 1: Say good mornings the late.
- 41:56Speaker 6: Quickly now you know, I ain't got a lot of
- 41:58Speaker 6: time cheering the game me the shortest break that got
- 42:01Speaker 6: on your show like that.
- 42:04Speaker 9: But since we don't have a lot of time, I
- 42:06Speaker 9: did want to ask you what are your thoughts, Sister
- 42:08Speaker 9: Odell on social media? And I'm asking for a reason because,
- 42:12Speaker 9: according to Google, the Church's stance on social media is
- 42:16Speaker 9: generally positive, recognizing it as a powerful tool for ministry,
- 42:21Speaker 9: for communication, and for outreach. The church recognizes social media
- 42:25Speaker 9: as a tool to share the good news and build
- 42:27Speaker 9: a Kingdom of God. So what I want to ask
- 42:30Speaker 9: you is, do you agree that social media is a
- 42:32Speaker 9: good way to spread the gospel?
- 42:36Speaker 1: It is? Is that what they was doing on now?
- 42:38Speaker 1: But that ain't what they're doing?
- 42:39Speaker 6: No?
- 42:39Speaker 15: Is it?
- 42:40Speaker 1: Well?
- 42:42Speaker 6: Every spread and everything but gospel gospel. When I heard
- 42:46Speaker 6: all our gospel on now, you meant to say gospel.
- 42:50Speaker 10: No, ma'am.
- 42:52Speaker 1: Social media is hurting the church right now.
- 42:54Speaker 6: You can ask mom and shap Dad when he told
- 42:56Speaker 6: her about shutting dos that went all was social media.
- 43:00Speaker 6: It wasn't for social media. We do never know what
- 43:02Speaker 6: he was in there locking people. He'd ask you for money,
- 43:08Speaker 6: and church people need to quit posting anyway. The burn
- 43:11Speaker 6: ball will see you, your little fast self in the
- 43:14Speaker 6: little outfit you ain't supposed to be wearing.
- 43:17Speaker 1: Now, what did all these church groups trying to dress
- 43:19Speaker 1: some just all hippet the hobbit put a rollba and
- 43:22Speaker 1: start singing. What happened to that?
- 43:26Speaker 6: They all up in there got on our fits, pulling
- 43:28Speaker 6: on their little jackets because they don't close, because they
- 43:31Speaker 6: don't make it.
- 43:32Speaker 1: In your size, sweetie.
- 43:34Speaker 10: Sister, tell we didn't make this up.
- 43:36Speaker 9: Google says that social media is good for the church
- 43:39Speaker 9: in the Gospel.
- 43:40Speaker 1: Who is Google? Let me ask you question? Is Google
- 43:47Speaker 1: in the Bible? As you mad the scripture? Google? Where's
- 43:51Speaker 1: you following something that ain't in the Bible?
- 43:53Speaker 6: See that was wrong with this? Will right right right here.
- 43:58Speaker 6: The Bible said there'll be many oss gosh ils, an idolatry,
- 44:04Speaker 6: and that's one.
- 44:04Speaker 1: That's how Google is. But it's a good thing. Though
- 44:10Speaker 1: it may not be in the Bible.
- 44:11Speaker 6: But it is not a good thing, Shrey. It is nothing,
- 44:15Speaker 6: but it's the devil's payground. It's what social.
- 44:17Speaker 9: Media is, even Google, where you can get on there
- 44:22Speaker 9: and learn things.
- 44:23Speaker 1: I gonna ask you one more time, who is Google?
- 44:28Speaker 5: Again?
- 44:31Speaker 1: Go?
- 44:32Speaker 6: Google's got all y'all messed up like they know everything.
- 44:34Speaker 6: Go Google on no nothing, Goo Google evil?
- 44:39Speaker 1: I tell you what here? Hey, I'm telling you how
- 44:42Speaker 1: evil google your name and see what's on there.
- 44:46Speaker 10: It's Google's sister, odell, let me do it right now.
- 44:52Speaker 6: One thing about me, I'm I'm ungooglable.
- 44:57Speaker 1: You can't google me, sweeting, I did it? Pops up.
- 45:01Speaker 12: Steve Harvey, Sister Odell, see your famous on your home
- 45:05Speaker 12: Google Sister Odell here?
- 45:09Speaker 10: Yes, yes, yeah, what.
- 45:14Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm on the Google, yes, ma'am. Yeah. One time
- 45:21Speaker 1: Steve was talking about you.
- 45:22Speaker 12: You got over seven hundred and seventy five thousand views
- 45:27Speaker 12: of Steve talking about Sister Odell see you.
- 45:30Speaker 1: Oh what what? What? What did it?
- 45:32Speaker 14: Shay?
- 45:32Speaker 6: What?
- 45:32Speaker 1: In many people? Oh, ain't so evil?
- 45:35Speaker 9: No more?
- 45:35Speaker 1: Huh it is if you just tell me what they're saying.
- 45:42Speaker 1: Tend to find out.
- 45:44Speaker 12: He was talking about Sister O'Dell on the Kings of
- 45:47Speaker 12: Comedy Original Kings.
- 45:48Speaker 16: Of Comedy, the Mall Uh huh. So your failing with
- 45:54Speaker 16: the started getting rough? Come on, Tiny ship walls tall.
- 46:03Speaker 6: Had not been for the Feelers Crew, then All Wood Belong.
- 46:11Speaker 9: Coming up next the Now Jesus Show without Sister Odell.
- 46:15Speaker 1: And today's our phone call.
- 46:17Speaker 16: Yeah, we're moving on up.
- 46:21Speaker 9: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Coming up
- 46:29Speaker 9: at about four minutes after the hour. It's my Strawberry
- 46:32Speaker 9: letter for today and the subject is why do they
- 46:35Speaker 9: have matching pajamas?
- 46:39Speaker 10: We'll get into that find out what that's all about.
- 46:42Speaker 10: It's always cute, especially around Christmas time.
- 46:45Speaker 9: All right, we'll find out what it's about in just
- 46:48Speaker 9: a few because the nephew is here right now today
- 46:51Speaker 9: for the prank phone call.
- 46:53Speaker 1: What you got for us, ne f, it's turn for
- 46:55Speaker 1: us to garnish somebody's way. Just Sureley, we got to garnishee.
- 47:00Speaker 1: You know, pranking his big business.
- 47:01Speaker 7: And it's hard and it's difficult, and you know sometimes
- 47:04Speaker 7: it's a little tiring and you go through some emotional things,
- 47:07Speaker 7: but you know, we gotta do what we gotta do.
- 47:09Speaker 1: This is right, he is garnish your wage. Let's go
- 47:12Speaker 1: get Hello.
- 47:14Speaker 7: I'm trying to reach you please. My name is from
- 47:18Speaker 7: the District Attorney's office. Yes, Hi, How are you giving
- 47:22Speaker 7: you a call today?
- 47:23Speaker 1: Man?
- 47:23Speaker 7: I trying to get some updates from you. Your husband, mister,
- 47:26Speaker 7: is he still not working at this point?
- 47:30Speaker 4: No, sir?
- 47:31Speaker 1: Okay? How long has he been out of work so far? Ma'am?
- 47:34Speaker 1: Could you could you give me an update.
- 47:35Speaker 5: On this January?
- 47:38Speaker 1: Okay? All right, here's what we're having. The problems that
- 47:41Speaker 1: we're having.
- 47:42Speaker 7: You have a son, I think it's his name is
- 47:46Speaker 7: as well, fourteen years old?
- 47:47Speaker 14: Am I?
- 47:47Speaker 1: Right?
- 47:48Speaker 7: Okay? The child support is not being paid from mister
- 47:54Speaker 7: for the uh, for mister young and we're trying to
- 47:57Speaker 7: get this thing rectified.
- 47:58Speaker 1: Now.
- 47:58Speaker 7: The problem that we're going to having, the reason why
- 48:00Speaker 7: we're giving you a call is considering that your husband
- 48:04Speaker 7: hasn't worked since the first of the year.
- 48:05Speaker 1: And I haven't done the research yet. I'm just I'm
- 48:08Speaker 1: just not pulling up your file.
- 48:09Speaker 7: I haven't done the research and see how many months
- 48:11Speaker 7: in the rears he is on child support.
- 48:14Speaker 11: But if this started once he lost his job, okay, well,
- 48:20Speaker 11: the problem that we're going to have is they're going
- 48:22Speaker 11: to start taking uh child support actually, and I hate
- 48:27Speaker 11: to give you this news out of your check.
- 48:30Speaker 5: I don't understand how that because I have my own kids.
- 48:33Speaker 1: I don't that I understand. But they're going to be
- 48:35Speaker 1: garnishing your check, ma'am.
- 48:37Speaker 7: Uh until this until your husband can get this thing
- 48:39Speaker 7: back on his feet and get it rectified and get
- 48:41Speaker 7: him up to par as for of all the payments
- 48:43Speaker 7: that are hurt are not.
- 48:44Speaker 5: And when what is he taking place? Because if that's
- 48:46Speaker 5: the case, I'm not gonna be working because that's not
- 48:49Speaker 5: gonna happen. I have my own children, so I don't
- 48:52Speaker 5: understand how that's. So I don't have anything to do
- 48:55Speaker 5: with child for it or anything like that. And if
- 48:57Speaker 5: that's the case, I'm not gonna be working as right now.
- 49:00Speaker 1: Honesting of the check is gonna come from you and
- 49:01Speaker 1: you are at the hospital. Correct, No, that's not it's
- 49:05Speaker 1: not where you work.
- 49:06Speaker 5: I don't. I'm not gonna be working as them right now.
- 49:09Speaker 5: That's what I just tell you. So y'all do whatever
- 49:11Speaker 5: you have to do, and I'll do whatever i have
- 49:12Speaker 5: to do on my end.
- 49:13Speaker 7: Okay, Well, hold on, man, you're willing to quit your job.
- 49:15Speaker 7: I'm not understanding this.
- 49:17Speaker 5: You're sure why because I'm not gonna be taking care
- 49:19Speaker 5: of someone else's kids and not have my own. So
- 49:21Speaker 5: how that's right? So somebody else can take your minds then,
- 49:25Speaker 5: because I'm not gonna be doing it. You're so right?
- 49:27Speaker 1: All right? Well, I mean I'm just you know, don't
- 49:29Speaker 1: I don't want you to be upset with you. I
- 49:30Speaker 1: don't want you to be upset with me.
- 49:32Speaker 5: I have to be at the contact you.
- 49:34Speaker 7: Okay, Now, I'm gonna let I'm gonna let you know
- 49:37Speaker 7: this is a bit of information. You're still gonna if
- 49:39Speaker 7: you're quitting your job, man, you guys are still going
- 49:42Speaker 7: to be liable for the child support.
- 49:44Speaker 5: Okay, well that's fine, not you guys, because it's not
- 49:47Speaker 5: my children. So okay, it's not you guys. He will
- 49:51Speaker 5: be liable, okay, because I don't I mean, can I
- 49:55Speaker 5: step hold on moment because I need to step outside
- 49:58Speaker 5: if that's okay, or there's a number I and contact
- 50:00Speaker 5: you back.
- 50:01Speaker 1: Are you able to step outside right now?
- 50:04Speaker 5: Yes, but I'm gonna get on the elevator and it's
- 50:06Speaker 5: gonna kind of a calling.
- 50:08Speaker 1: Let's do this. Why don't you step outside now.
- 50:10Speaker 5: I'll wait for you to call.
- 50:11Speaker 7: Give me about forty five seconds, but I'm going to
- 50:13Speaker 7: give a call to my manager on this situation.
- 50:15Speaker 1: Okay, please do all right? Thank you?

- 50:31Speaker 7: bottom of everything. I couldn't get my manager on the phone,
- 50:33Speaker 7: but I'll keep trying. I just want to know. I mean,
- 50:37Speaker 7: that's I'm just a message messenger.

- 50:47Speaker 5: of right now, and you're speaking of I have three
- 50:50Speaker 5: children that I'm struggling to take care of on my

- 56:53Speaker 9: Letter subject Why do they have matching pajamas?
- 56:58Speaker 1: Why?
- 56:58Speaker 9: Dear Stephen Shirley, I am writing to get your opinion
- 57:01Speaker 9: on a big issue I'm having with my boyfriend. We've
- 57:04Speaker 9: been together for three years and I haven't spent any
- 57:07Speaker 9: holidays with him and his family. He spends my birthdays
- 57:11Speaker 9: with me, but he's usually with his family when it's
- 57:14Speaker 9: his birthday. I know that if a man treats his
- 57:17Speaker 9: mother nicely, it's a sign of how he'll treat his woman,
- 57:20Speaker 9: but not in this case. I practically had to beg
- 57:23Speaker 9: him to meet his mom and sister. My therapist is
- 57:26Speaker 9: in fond of my boyfriend, and she thinks I can
- 57:28Speaker 9: do better, but I'm in love with him and can't
- 57:31Speaker 9: just toss him away. This Christmas, we exchanged gifts early
- 57:35Speaker 9: and he flew three hours away to be with his family.
- 57:39Speaker 9: We are both forty two years old, so I hoped
- 57:41Speaker 9: he'd grown up since last year and didn't have to
- 57:44Speaker 9: be up under his mother for Christmas. I thought at
- 57:47Speaker 9: the least he'd invite me to go with him, but
- 57:50Speaker 9: he didn't, and I had to go to my parents'
- 57:52Speaker 9: house along with my married brother and his family, and
- 57:55Speaker 9: my married baby sister and her husband. My man and
- 57:59Speaker 9: I barely got to spend New Year's Eve together because
- 58:02Speaker 9: his flight was delayed for three hours. We celebrated my
- 58:05Speaker 9: birthday on January third, and at dinner, he slid me
- 58:09Speaker 9: his phone, so I could take a picture of us
- 58:12Speaker 9: while I had his phone. His sister sent him a
- 58:15Speaker 9: photo that popped up on his phone. It was a
- 58:18Speaker 9: picture of him, his sister, his mama, and a pretty woman.
- 58:24Speaker 1: He said.
- 58:24Speaker 9: The woman is his mom's hairstylist. That may be true,
- 58:29Speaker 9: but why didn't Why did they all have unmatching pajamas?
- 58:35Speaker 10: Is she a relative?
- 58:39Speaker 9: That's what I asked him. He laughed and said no,
- 58:41Speaker 9: they're not related. I then decided that he must be
- 58:44Speaker 9: dating her, and he said, I'm making a big deal
- 58:47Speaker 9: over matching pajamas they decided to wear for Christmas. He
- 58:51Speaker 9: keeps joking about it, but I need answers. Am I
- 58:54Speaker 9: being a fool? Well, you know, I don't know. This
- 59:02Speaker 9: is all crazy and it sounds very strange to me. Sure,
- 59:06Speaker 9: it could have been a coincidence, and she could have
- 59:08Speaker 9: just happened to have some matching pajamas in her purse
- 59:11Speaker 9: when she went over their house. But you got to
- 59:13Speaker 9: know that this photo shoot was planned. They've been in
- 59:16Speaker 9: contact with this woman.
- 59:17Speaker 10: He said. She wasn't a relative. So is she a
- 59:20Speaker 10: good friend of his mom's.
- 59:21Speaker 9: The so called hairstylist, because she's very comfortable, very familiar
- 59:25Speaker 9: with the family and all of that very comfortable to
- 59:29Speaker 9: just be your mom's hairstylist.
- 59:31Speaker 10: So you've really got to look at this whole scenario.
- 59:33Speaker 9: He never ever spends holidays with you, never ever. He
- 59:38Speaker 9: doesn't even invite invite you to holidays, so you could
- 59:41Speaker 9: turn him down. But I'll say this, whether she's a
- 59:44Speaker 9: hairstylist or not, which we don't think she is, this
- 59:47Speaker 9: sounds like a classic case of a man who's living
- 59:50Speaker 9: some sort of double life here, and you're a major
- 59:53Speaker 9: player in it. You will continue to be just that
- 59:56Speaker 9: until you do something about it. You can't keep taking
- 59:58Speaker 9: this from him. Easy to spend your birthday together because
- 1:00:02Speaker 9: the whole world isn't celebrating it, celebrating it.
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: It's just you guys.
- 1:00:06Speaker 9: Christmas and the other big holidays are, on the other hand,
- 1:00:09Speaker 9: are trickier, a lot trickier, because everyone in the world
- 1:00:13Speaker 9: is celebrating them at the same time. Families are together.
- 1:00:17Speaker 9: You know you're getting side peace treatment here. They never
- 1:00:20Speaker 9: get to spend the actual holiday with their men. It's
- 1:00:23Speaker 9: always the day before, the day after, or in your case,
- 1:00:26Speaker 9: January third, not January first like the wives. So after
- 1:00:31Speaker 9: three years, I'm gonna say this to you. Three years
- 1:00:34Speaker 9: of this neglect, you should be pretty tired of it.
- 1:00:36Speaker 9: And just because you're in love with him doesn't mean
- 1:00:40Speaker 9: he's good for you.
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: Okay, Steve, Lady.
- 1:00:46Speaker 6: What is wrong with you? Why did you write us?
- 1:00:52Speaker 6: Why are we dealing with this? You say you're writing
- 1:00:55Speaker 6: to get your opinion on a big issue that you
- 1:00:57Speaker 6: have with your boyfriend, and y'all been together three years
- 1:01:01Speaker 6: and you ain't spent a holiday with him or his family.
- 1:01:07Speaker 6: Let me tell you something. Holidays are for special people.
- 1:01:14Speaker 6: If a man loves you, he's gonna be with you.
- 1:01:19Speaker 6: All right, Cool, Now, let's move on. He spends my
- 1:01:23Speaker 6: birthdays with me, So your birthday could be April twenty ninth, Well,
- 1:01:29Speaker 6: that ain't nothing. July sixteenth, that ain't nothing. Now. I
- 1:01:36Speaker 6: bet you if your birthday was December twenty fifth, I
- 1:01:39Speaker 6: bet he wouldn't be there. I bet if your birthday
- 1:01:44Speaker 6: was New Year's Eve, he wouldn't be there. See, lady,
- 1:01:49Speaker 6: you're ignoring and obvious. He's with his family for his birthdays.
- 1:01:55Speaker 6: I know if a man treats his mother nicely as
- 1:01:57Speaker 6: a sign of how he'll treat his woman.
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: But that's not the case. It is the case, you're
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: just not paying attention to it. It's a sign of
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: how he'll treat this woman.
- 1:02:07Speaker 6: I practically had to beg him to meet his mom
- 1:02:10Speaker 6: and sister.
- 1:02:11Speaker 1: Yeah, so she let y'all meet. Now here go to
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: part that. Throw it from me.
- 1:02:15Speaker 6: My therapist isn't fund of my boyfriend, fond of my boyfriend,
- 1:02:19Speaker 6: and thinks I could do better.
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: Well any time, and I've seen this any time you.
- 1:02:28Speaker 6: Need a therapist to date. You don't need to get
- 1:02:35Speaker 6: married because y'all ain't even in therapeutical situations yet.
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: Y'all just date.
- 1:02:44Speaker 6: If you date and need a therapist to date, this
- 1:02:48Speaker 6: relationship is doode. You need a therapist to be your
- 1:02:54Speaker 6: boyfriend and girlfriend. Man, Please, this is a mess right here. Oh,
- 1:03:00Speaker 6: when I come back, I'll just tell you the rest
- 1:03:02Speaker 6: of the court.
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: All right, Steve, all right.
- 1:03:05Speaker 9: We'll have part two of Steve's response coming up at
- 1:03:07Speaker 9: twenty three minutes after the hour Today's Strawberry letter subject
- 1:03:11Speaker 9: why do they.
- 1:03:11Speaker 10: Have matching pajamas?
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: We'll get back into it right after this.
- 1:03:16Speaker 13: You're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show.

- 1:03:52Speaker 10: All right, come on, Steve, let's recap today's strawberry letter.
- 1:03:55Speaker 10: The subject is why do they have matching pajamas?
- 1:03:58Speaker 6: Well, she's dating, is due she forty that both of
- 1:04:01Speaker 6: them is forty two years old, which is boyfriend and
- 1:04:04Speaker 6: girlfriend a little bit late for that. You've been together
- 1:04:07Speaker 6: three years and you ain't spend no holidays with him
- 1:04:09Speaker 6: and his family. That's because holidays is for special people.
- 1:04:13Speaker 6: He spends his birthdays with me.
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: Well, that's just.
- 1:04:16Speaker 6: Your birthday, could be any day. That ain't no special day.
- 1:04:19Speaker 6: It's just special to you, like Shirley said. But he's
- 1:04:22Speaker 6: usually with his family when it's his birthday.
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: I know.
- 1:04:25Speaker 6: If a man treats his mother nicely, it's a sign
- 1:04:27Speaker 6: of how he treats his woman. But that's not the case. Yes,
- 1:04:30Speaker 6: it is the case. It's finish, show up in your letter.
- 1:04:34Speaker 6: I practically had to beg him to meet his mom
- 1:04:36Speaker 6: and sister where you met him.
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: You ain't been back over that since. Problem.
- 1:04:40Speaker 6: Then you say, my therapist isn't fun of my boyfriend,
- 1:04:42Speaker 6: and she thinks I can do better.
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: If you need a therapist to date, if you have
- 1:04:47Speaker 1: to have therapy to date, you're in trouble.
- 1:04:52Speaker 7: This.
- 1:04:52Speaker 6: Don't have marriage rode on it nowhere, because as I
- 1:04:55Speaker 6: said earlier, you ain't even in a therapeutical situation yet.
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: You ain't even married therapeutical situation.
- 1:05:05Speaker 6: You ain't even in that. You ain't ready to go,
- 1:05:09Speaker 6: but you already there. I'm leaving fool you here where
- 1:05:16Speaker 6: you going so now? But I'm in love with him
- 1:05:20Speaker 6: and I can't just toss him away. Okay, Well, this
- 1:05:23Speaker 6: Christmas we exchange gifts early and he flew three hours
- 1:05:26Speaker 6: away to be with his family.
- 1:05:29Speaker 1: Once again. Holidays is for special people. We are both.
- 1:05:33Speaker 6: Forty two years old, so I had hope listen to
- 1:05:36Speaker 6: this line that he'd grown up since last year and
- 1:05:40Speaker 6: didn't have to be up under his mother for Christmas
- 1:05:43Speaker 6: twenty minutes. So at forty one he wasn't full grown.
- 1:05:48Speaker 10: Yet, that's what she's saying.
- 1:05:51Speaker 6: Yes, you was hoping that at forty two he had
- 1:05:56Speaker 6: grown up and didn't have to be up under his
- 1:05:59Speaker 6: mother For Christmas. I thought, at the least he did
- 1:06:03Speaker 6: invite me to go with him, But he didn't, and
- 1:06:06Speaker 6: I had to go to my parents' house along with
- 1:06:08Speaker 6: my married brother and his family, and my married baby
- 1:06:10Speaker 6: sister and her husband, my.
- 1:06:12Speaker 1: Man and that bailey.
- 1:06:14Speaker 6: My man and I barely got to spa in New
- 1:06:17Speaker 6: Year's Eat together because his flight was delayed for three hours.
- 1:06:22Speaker 1: Well that's what he told you. I told you he
- 1:06:27Speaker 1: his flight with the layed, he had to spend New
- 1:06:29Speaker 1: Year's Eve. Way was that.
- 1:06:31Speaker 6: We sell it my birthday on January third. You get
- 1:06:35Speaker 6: the third. You don't need to eat? Got the girl?
- 1:06:39Speaker 6: Why ain't you listening to this letter? And at dinner
- 1:06:43Speaker 6: he slid me his phone so I could take a
- 1:06:46Speaker 6: picture of us. While I had his phone, his sister
- 1:06:49Speaker 6: send him a photo that popped up on his phone.
- 1:06:52Speaker 6: It was a picture of him, his sister, his mama,
- 1:06:56Speaker 6: and a pretty woman. He said, the woman is his
- 1:07:00Speaker 6: mom's hairstylist. Let's stop right there his mama's hairstyles. Now,
- 1:07:07Speaker 6: listen to me. He forty two. His mama is at
- 1:07:13Speaker 6: minimum in her sixties, possibly seventies. You know good hair, well,
- 1:07:19Speaker 6: her hairstylist ain't gonna be attractive no moments.
- 1:07:26Speaker 1: She ain't the hairstylist. She work at the beauty shop.
- 1:07:32Speaker 6: She been doing your mama hair that pressing set for
- 1:07:35Speaker 6: years now.
- 1:07:36Speaker 1: That ain't fun.
- 1:07:38Speaker 6: There are some very attractive hairstylists. I must tell you
- 1:07:42Speaker 6: this for a fact, Lord, have mercyed. Some of the
- 1:07:45Speaker 6: finest people I've ever seen have been hairstyled, But not
- 1:07:48Speaker 6: your mama. Half stylist. Your mama half stylists have been
- 1:07:54Speaker 6: styling and doing her bangs for twenty seven years. Your
- 1:08:01Speaker 6: mama go to the beauty shop, you know her her
- 1:08:07Speaker 6: stylist then kept you with her kids before.
- 1:08:12Speaker 1: You know, they'll wear That woman in that picture.
- 1:08:14Speaker 6: Ain't no hastylarst Oh yo, mama, he said, the woman
- 1:08:18Speaker 6: is in mom's hastyllars. That may be true, the hell
- 1:08:21Speaker 6: that's true. Why did her seventy year old mama go
- 1:08:25Speaker 6: find this young find her that even know how to
- 1:08:28Speaker 6: do her hair? They don't do hair like your mama
- 1:08:32Speaker 6: wearing no more. They stopped doing that long time ago.
- 1:08:40Speaker 6: But why did they have all have on matching pajamas?
- 1:08:43Speaker 6: Because you wear matching pajamas at Christmas?
- 1:08:46Speaker 1: Is she a relative?
- 1:08:48Speaker 12: Now?
- 1:08:48Speaker 1: He told you she wasn't a relative.
- 1:08:52Speaker 6: He laughed and said, no, they not related related when
- 1:08:56Speaker 6: her find you didn't hear that in the last.
- 1:09:01Speaker 1: Related in the pagemas.
- 1:09:06Speaker 6: I did decide that he must be dating her, and
- 1:09:09Speaker 6: he said, I'm making up a big deal over matching pajamas.
- 1:09:11Speaker 6: They decided to wear it for Christmas. He keeps joking
- 1:09:14Speaker 6: about it. But I need answers. Am I being a fool?
- 1:09:17Speaker 6: You're not only being a fool, You've been a fool,
- 1:09:19Speaker 6: and you is a fool.
- 1:09:21Speaker 1: You know. That's the answer to that question right there.
- 1:09:24Speaker 6: If you need a therapist to have a boyfriend, you
- 1:09:26Speaker 6: need to get rid of the boyfriend, so you hat
- 1:09:29Speaker 6: so you quit going to therapist. If he loves you,
- 1:09:31Speaker 6: he spends special days with you. Holidays are for special people.
- 1:09:35Speaker 6: Those are the rules. You're not special. You're never going
- 1:09:39Speaker 6: to be special. And the special chick had on the
- 1:09:42Speaker 6: matching pajamas, the fine chick with the matching pajamas. That's
- 1:09:47Speaker 6: where he go every Christmas. That's who he wi you
- 1:09:51Speaker 6: the side peace, Thank you. I see the lady named
- 1:09:58Speaker 6: Rufe that do your mama hands.
- 1:10:03Speaker 10: Coming up next, it is Junior and Sports Talk. Right

- 1:10:58Speaker 1: what we're doing.
- 1:10:59Speaker 6: Man.
- 1:10:59Speaker 8: The hope is in the air. To see my people
- 1:11:02Speaker 8: out there having the mourningful time. That was That was
- 1:11:04Speaker 8: good to see, wasn't nobody sick, were all together.
- 1:11:07Speaker 1: Everybody out. Yeah, you know we do. You know, gotta
- 1:11:10Speaker 1: gotta celebrate these moments. That's all it is. So we
- 1:11:12Speaker 1: had a great time. But here we go. Let's talk
- 1:11:14Speaker 1: about this man.
- 1:11:15Speaker 8: Did y'all see did y'all hear Deon Sanders on this
- 1:11:18Speaker 8: podcast defending his son, Man.
- 1:11:19Speaker 1: Did anybody see about that? You know?
- 1:11:22Speaker 8: They he understanders hadn't said anything about, uh, you know,
- 1:11:25Speaker 8: Shador falling down to the fifth round. And he says that,
- 1:11:29Speaker 8: uh you know, he was defending song on the podcast
- 1:11:32Speaker 8: because they said Shador wasn't prepared to go to the
- 1:11:35Speaker 8: draft meeting interviews. And Dean says, I know my son,
- 1:11:38Speaker 8: My son was prepared, and that's a lie.
- 1:11:40Speaker 1: You know, that's not who he is.
- 1:11:43Speaker 8: I can't see a world when Shador is not prepared
- 1:11:45Speaker 8: for the interview because he said he walked in with
- 1:11:47Speaker 8: some headphones on.
- 1:11:48Speaker 1: Headphones.
- 1:11:49Speaker 8: He said, Shor's not gonna walk in no meeting with
- 1:11:51Speaker 8: no headphones on. And he said that's probably why he
- 1:11:54Speaker 8: slipped to the fifth round. And I just don't see why,
- 1:11:58Speaker 8: you know, they would think that that's why he would
- 1:12:00Speaker 8: fall to the fifth round. It was really wrong because
- 1:12:02Speaker 8: They used that boy too. Now, let's let's talk about that.
- 1:12:04Speaker 8: They promoted that whole draft off of she Door Simms.
- 1:12:07Speaker 1: They did use him. That they did to get people
- 1:12:10Speaker 1: to watch, to get people to watch. Ye Now, he.
- 1:12:13Speaker 8: Endured that the best way he could. He didn't he
- 1:12:15Speaker 8: didn't complain. He just said, hey, he's still gonna be legendary.
- 1:12:18Speaker 8: He still kept a great attitude and so you know,
- 1:12:21Speaker 8: and now he.
- 1:12:22Speaker 1: Got an opportunity to go play for Cleveland. He's still
- 1:12:24Speaker 1: in the league. He's still in there.
- 1:12:26Speaker 6: If you don't think that the big boys got together
- 1:12:29Speaker 6: and did this together as a unit, you are sadly mistaken.
- 1:12:33Speaker 6: You cannot tell me that the quarterbacks that were picked

- 1:16:07Speaker 9: that his best friend and his best friend's girlfriend can
- 1:16:10Speaker 9: come and stay with us for a full week. I
- 1:16:12Speaker 9: don't do girlfriends in my house because I will have
- 1:16:15Speaker 9: to entertain her. She's a lot younger than we all are,
- 1:16:20Speaker 9: and I don't think she'll be around long.
- 1:16:22Speaker 10: How do I stop them from staying here?
- 1:16:24Speaker 4: Oh?
- 1:16:24Speaker 6: No, Well, you just say it ain't gonna happen. That
