- 2:09Speaker 1: Steve Harley got a radio show. Okay, here we go today, folks.
- 2:14Speaker 1: This is a good one because today I want to
- 2:18Speaker 1: share with you something that affects every living soul, and
- 2:24Speaker 1: that one thing is your attitude. This affects everyone. It
- 2:31Speaker 1: is your attitude. You know. I don't know if anyone's
- 2:37Speaker 1: ever told you, but I mean many of you who
- 2:40Speaker 1: listen know this. But there are a lot of people
- 2:43Speaker 1: who don't understand a positive attitude can bring about a change.
- 2:51Speaker 1: A positive attitude can bring about a change. Well, now
- 2:55Speaker 1: here we go with the nay says well, Steve, what
- 2:57Speaker 1: you mean if I'm just positive being changed? My mama gone,
- 3:00Speaker 1: what me being positive got to do with that? Okay,
- 3:03Speaker 1: Now listen to me carefully. A positive attitude can bring
- 3:07Speaker 1: about change. Well, okay, Steve, I hear you saying that,
- 3:11Speaker 1: But they didn't fired me. So now, what does my
- 3:14Speaker 1: having a positive attitude have to do with the fact
- 3:17Speaker 1: that they fired me? Well, one more time, A positive
- 3:23Speaker 1: attitude can bring about change. What, Steve, I set up
- 3:29Speaker 1: in here and gave eight nine, twelve years of my
- 3:33Speaker 1: life to this man and he just he cheated on
- 3:35Speaker 1: me and walked out. Now what does me being positive
- 3:38Speaker 1: have to do with him cheating on me? How that's
- 3:42Speaker 1: gonna change that? Okay, here we go again. A positive
- 3:46Speaker 1: attitude can bring about change. Now listen to the whole thing. Now,
- 3:52Speaker 1: the positive attitude and the change that can happen starts.
- 3:59Speaker 1: This is the start. It starts within you. See, life
- 4:06Speaker 1: is ten percent. What happens is what you do about
- 4:09Speaker 1: what happens. Okay, you gave twelve years of your life
- 4:12Speaker 1: to this man. He cheated and left you hold in
- 4:15Speaker 1: the bag, the kids and everything. Now, what does being
- 4:18Speaker 1: positive have to do with changing that? Or they came
- 4:21Speaker 1: in and they fired you. You lost your job that
- 4:24Speaker 1: you was a stellar performer at but now, how does
- 4:27Speaker 1: you having a positive attitude, How does that change things
- 4:31Speaker 1: for you? So far, you can use any example. Here's
- 4:35Speaker 1: what happens when you have a positive attitude. What it
- 4:40Speaker 1: produces within you is a positive approach to life. And
- 4:45Speaker 1: when you have a positive attitude and a positive approach
- 4:48Speaker 1: to life, it causes you to be optimistic, to have
- 4:54Speaker 1: a positive out look, to expect things to eventually turn around,
- 5:00Speaker 1: and and and and turn into a positive That's very
- 5:04Speaker 1: important because as the law of attraction comes into play,
- 5:08Speaker 1: if you think positive thoughts, you attract positive things. If
- 5:14Speaker 1: you think evil thoughts, you attract evil to you. You know,
- 5:19Speaker 1: if you want for nothing, then nothing comes your way.
- 5:23Speaker 1: If you want for a positive attitude, if you want
- 5:26Speaker 1: for positive results, if you want for a great outcome,
- 5:29Speaker 1: that's what you attract to you. The change will begin
- 5:32Speaker 1: within you. So let's take the man that walked out
- 5:35Speaker 1: your life and left you hold in the bag. Here's
- 5:39Speaker 1: a positive attitude. Okay, two things have happened as positive here.
- 5:44Speaker 1: Number one, you've ridded yourself of someone who is obviously
- 5:48Speaker 1: going to be, if not already been, toxic in your life,
- 5:52Speaker 1: cause you many restless nights, a lot of uncomfortable feelings,
- 5:57Speaker 1: an uneasiness, not sure, insecure purity. You've been going through
- 6:01Speaker 1: it with this person, whoever they are. Number One, that
- 6:04Speaker 1: person has been released from your life. Number two. It
- 6:08Speaker 1: allows you now to have the someone who will treat
- 6:12Speaker 1: you just the way you want to be treated. That's
- 6:14Speaker 1: the positive outlook, that's the optimistic way. That's when you're
- 6:19Speaker 1: a positive person. You see the positive in things that
- 6:22Speaker 1: happened to you instead of burying yourself under the what's
- 6:25Speaker 1: wrong with it? A old woe is me? Now? Concept
- 6:29Speaker 1: see a positive attitude. When they came in there and
- 6:32Speaker 1: they fired you and let you go, Could this not
- 6:35Speaker 1: have been just the opening you needed to finally start
- 6:40Speaker 1: on a new career path that you've been talking about
- 6:43Speaker 1: doing anyway? Could it possibly be a brand new chance
- 6:47Speaker 1: for you to get the dream job or dream career
- 6:51Speaker 1: of your choice. Could it not possibly be the perfect
- 6:55Speaker 1: opportunity now for you to finally finally do something about
- 7:00Speaker 1: that gift, about that talent that God gave you, that
- 7:03Speaker 1: thing that you love to do. Could it not be
- 7:06Speaker 1: the perfect time for you to pursue that? But if
- 7:08Speaker 1: you don't have a positive attitude, then you lay there, Oh,
- 7:13Speaker 1: they finned come getting my house. Oh what I'm gonna
- 7:16Speaker 1: do now? All this unemployment ain't enough. Oh Lord, when
- 7:20Speaker 1: this unemployment run out, what am I gonna do? Then
- 7:22Speaker 1: I won't have nothing? And you old woe is me
- 7:26Speaker 1: until you become old woe is me. But if you
- 7:29Speaker 1: take it from the positive approach, some amazing things can
- 7:33Speaker 1: happen in your life. I will tell you on a
- 7:35Speaker 1: personal note, that's some of the most some of the
- 7:39Speaker 1: best changes. Some of the biggest moments in my life
- 7:43Speaker 1: came after a loss. So I don't want to go
- 7:46Speaker 1: down on the list, but boy, I could tell you.
- 7:47Speaker 1: Let me let me tell you something. When they didn't
- 7:49Speaker 1: want me on the radio anymore in La, when they
- 7:53Speaker 1: didn't know when they were it was sick of the
- 7:54Speaker 1: way I did radio out there, and they wanted me gone.
- 7:58Speaker 1: And on May twenty, two thousand and five, when my
- 8:04Speaker 1: when when when my deal was done? With the beat
- 8:09Speaker 1: out in La? Okay, look what happened though, y'all? I
- 8:14Speaker 1: was gone in May. But in September nineteenth I started
- 8:17Speaker 1: to Steve Harvey Radio Network with four cities. You see.
- 8:22Speaker 1: But I didn't go old woe is me? I said, Oh, Okay,
- 8:27Speaker 1: God must have something else from it, then, because if
- 8:30Speaker 1: He didn't remove me from this, that must be something else.
- 8:33Speaker 1: Same thing can happened when you lose and you and
- 8:35Speaker 1: you and you break up in a relationship. Same thing
- 8:38Speaker 1: can happen to you. You never know the one God
- 8:40Speaker 1: God for you. Now Here you go, Here you go again.
- 8:43Speaker 1: Now you get put into a situation with somebody, treat
- 8:46Speaker 1: you just to where you want to be treated, provide
- 8:48Speaker 1: you the whole lot of aspects of your life you
- 8:50Speaker 1: knew nothing about prior to that. But you gotta stay positive.
- 8:54Speaker 1: If you stay positive, that positive attitude, that optimistic outlook,
- 8:59Speaker 1: that that that always thinking God got me no matter
- 9:03Speaker 1: what happened to me, some amazing things that's going can
- 9:06Speaker 1: will happen in your life. It's a fact. I don't
- 9:09Speaker 1: know how it works that way. I just know that's
- 9:12Speaker 1: what it is. Positive attitude is everything, y'all. So get
- 9:15Speaker 1: off the old woe is Me negativity train because it
- 9:18Speaker 1: ain't gonna take you nowhere but down and get get
- 9:20Speaker 1: your outlook up. If you change your attitude, you change
- 9:24Speaker 1: your altitude. Altitude is determined by your attitude, how high
- 9:29Speaker 1: you go, how big you become, how far you go.
- 9:33Speaker 1: It all depends on how you think. It all depends
- 9:36Speaker 1: on what type of attitude you got. Ain't no, ain't
- 9:40Speaker 1: no very very successful, super negative people. It just doesn't
- 9:44Speaker 1: coincide that way. If you see that something that happened
- 9:47Speaker 1: to them along the way, and don't weary. You ain't
- 9:49Speaker 1: gonna weary about it because you ain't gonna see them
- 9:50Speaker 1: long because you can't stay up there like that. It's
- 9:53Speaker 1: just too hard, all right. That's the conversation you're listening to, ladies, gentlemen,
- 10:06Speaker 1: and all circus participants. This is the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 10:14Speaker 1: And our reason I say ladies and gentlemen, all circus participants,
- 10:19Speaker 1: is because we are all a part of this circus
- 10:22Speaker 1: called life, and we are participating in some way or another.
- 10:27Speaker 1: I just happen to want to be one of the
- 10:30Speaker 1: stars of the circus. That's what I claim. Now, you
- 10:35Speaker 1: pick whatever role you want to be at the child.
- 10:38Speaker 1: You want to be the bearded lady, go ahead. You
- 10:41Speaker 1: want to be one of the clowns jumping out of
- 10:43Speaker 1: both wagon, go ahead. You want to be one of
- 10:46Speaker 1: the big fat ass elephants chained up and just getting
- 10:49Speaker 1: drug around, go ahead. If you want to be the ringmaster.
- 10:55Speaker 1: Come on, pick the position you want in the circus.
- 11:00Speaker 1: If you want to be the person setting up the
- 11:02Speaker 1: tents for the circles, if you want to be outside
- 11:04Speaker 1: selling tickets, you want to be making cock candy. Pick
- 11:07Speaker 1: your roll in the circus and come on to the
- 11:09Speaker 1: Steve Hawan Morning Show. Shirley straw Bear, Hey, good morning, Shorty.
- 11:14Speaker 1: Pickle position? Well, geez, I mean I don't want to
- 11:17Speaker 1: be the bearded lady. Oh I know, I'll be the
- 11:18Speaker 1: type rope walker I like. Okay, cool, sure, Carlin Farrell,
- 11:23Speaker 1: good morning, Happy Friday. Pick a tile in the circus. Clown,
- 11:29Speaker 1: you'll be the clown, okay, Junior pring up, I will
- 11:33Speaker 1: be the little person in the audience. Make it a lot.
- 11:37Speaker 1: That's where I'm man like Dy Brown, step right up
- 11:43Speaker 1: and see the black man with the white woman inside
- 11:47Speaker 1: the black man with the white woman. Tom May you
- 11:54Speaker 1: know me, man, I'm gonna do cracking that whip in
- 11:57Speaker 1: there with them tigers. Baby, that's me. I've been there,
- 12:01Speaker 1: your sup. Who are you though? Y'all think I'm gonna
- 12:05Speaker 1: be the ring master, but I'm not. Who are you?
- 12:09Speaker 1: I'm gonna be one of them lines that then got
- 12:12Speaker 1: loose and it's not I'm trotting through time. No man,
- 12:21Speaker 1: oh they they just they just had a see the
- 12:23Speaker 1: ring master and the lion he the same time. He's

- 13:43Speaker 1: right after this you're listening. All right, So, Carly, you

- 14:21Speaker 1: late everything? Yeah? Yeah, and they only got to have
- 14:24Speaker 1: a whole lot of stuff and slide in with the
- 14:26Speaker 1: big gass. Just I'm just saying, excuse me. And then
- 14:33Speaker 1: they always think they started already. Yeah, I started started it. Yeah,
- 14:37Speaker 1: you late for the Lord? All right. So so now

- 14:49Speaker 1: pet peeves. So yay, I pretty much hate everybody. Here's
- 14:53Speaker 1: what I really hate. People who sing. People who sing
- 14:57Speaker 1: when the radio and I'm in the card d it,
- 15:00Speaker 1: damn it. I don't want singing. Okay, no singing. I
- 15:04Speaker 1: don't care if you know the song. We don't want singing.
- 15:07Speaker 1: I don't. I don't like it, okay. People who point
- 15:10Speaker 1: that stuff when you're driving, Oh they're building over there,
- 15:12Speaker 1: Oh they just I don't. I don't like that, okay, okay,
- 15:17Speaker 1: I don't you know what else people I don't like
- 15:19Speaker 1: people who don't know when the conversation is over with
- 15:22Speaker 1: on the phone. You ever talk somebody? Okay, all right,
- 15:31Speaker 1: all right now? Yeah and then this, Yeah, I haven't
- 15:42Speaker 1: done about sixty You watch out there now and they
- 15:44Speaker 1: still on the damn phone. You just hang out jack.
- 15:51Speaker 1: People people will see it, see you with earbud zone.
- 15:54Speaker 1: You got both of them in your ear. They see
- 15:56Speaker 1: these white things in your ear, and they're trying to
- 15:59Speaker 1: talk to you. You hate people who do that, don't
- 16:01Speaker 1: you see I'm listening to something, damn it? Right? Yeah, yeah,
- 16:05Speaker 1: I got it. I got him in here to talk. Yeah, yeah, no,
- 16:10Speaker 1: I got these ears earbuds in not to talk here. One.
- 16:16Speaker 1: I can't stand right here. I can't stand short people
- 16:20Speaker 1: that act like they ain't what do you mean care well?
- 16:26Speaker 1: You show? Yeah, all right on all in here, you know,
- 16:31Speaker 1: complaining about the height of the curb, and you know
- 16:34Speaker 1: they all they are to lower this down. Why the
- 16:38Speaker 1: seal up on the top shelf? Hey dog, No, the
- 16:42Speaker 1: seal is up down. You have a little get together
- 16:46Speaker 1: at your house, which ain't regular. I ain't gonna have
- 16:48Speaker 1: them all the time. I probably ain't had one in
- 16:50Speaker 1: like eight years. But people who don't know when the
- 16:53Speaker 1: party is over. Boy, once light start coming on, it's
- 16:58Speaker 1: it's time to go home. Okay, time to take it.
- 17:01Speaker 1: We don't we don't have to take the party outside
- 17:03Speaker 1: and talk. Yeah, Steve, I got I got no room
- 17:07Speaker 1: for you, Joe, What you got man? I don't like
- 17:10Speaker 1: fake shouters at church? Oh yeah. I don't like people
- 17:15Speaker 1: that were running laps around the church being stopped and say,
- 17:19Speaker 1: excuse me everything the spirit. Don't feel a damn you
- 17:27Speaker 1: in the spirit running too that wall? Everything God got?
- 17:30Speaker 1: That's not how that works. Yeah, you so into it?
- 17:37Speaker 1: How you see that wall? You're not unconscious? Hey, hey, hey,
- 17:45Speaker 1: what y'all ain't gonna do? Now? Just dissect the damn jokes?
- 17:52Speaker 1: That's what y'all ain't gonna do. You know what else?
- 17:55Speaker 1: I hate? You know what else? I hate people who
- 17:58Speaker 1: can't hear at the movies. Don't go to the movies
- 18:00Speaker 1: if you can't hear a damn thing. So what what
- 18:03Speaker 1: did they say? What? What? What? What did they say? What?
- 18:08Speaker 1: What happened? Who? What? What did the girls say? But
- 18:13Speaker 1: what did they who was talking? What did they say?
- 18:17Speaker 1: I hear? Go Ward? I don't like sitting in the
- 18:21Speaker 1: lobby at the doctor's office with the old lass outdated magazines.
- 18:28Speaker 1: Why don't they throw them away? Man, you'd be sitting
- 18:31Speaker 1: up in here. Ain't come in here to read no
- 18:33Speaker 1: damn feeling stream. You know what? I hate hate now.
- 18:43Speaker 1: I have never done this because I always have an earbuzon.
- 18:46Speaker 1: But older people they do this a lot. They have
- 18:49Speaker 1: the phone in their hands and the other person. You
- 18:52Speaker 1: could hear the other person talking because they're holding the phone,
- 18:56Speaker 1: so you hear two damned conversations. So what you gonna
- 19:00Speaker 1: get off? I'm gonna be over there by four o'clock. Well,
- 19:03Speaker 1: I'm still in the emergency room, but we can't down
- 19:06Speaker 1: here to see timing. What it alright is? How is
- 19:09Speaker 1: he doing that? Well, he ain't doing that good right now,
- 19:12Speaker 1: we've been sitting that hit the whole Damn. I hate that.
- 19:18Speaker 1: Ye got another him for this from back in the day,
- 19:25Speaker 1: struggling didn't have the money. Go to a football game.
- 19:30Speaker 1: Be in the damn bleachers with the seats that's as
- 19:35Speaker 1: far away from the field as you can get. The
- 19:40Speaker 1: dude behind me is hauling to the players like they
- 19:44Speaker 1: can hear him the whole They don't even know we hell,
- 19:55Speaker 1: you don't shut your ass up. You can't. Nobody hit
- 19:58Speaker 1: you down there? Man up? Yeah, you know. I hate Jake.
- 20:02Speaker 1: I hate being in the room where people need help
- 20:04Speaker 1: getting up. I hate to be the person keep pulling
- 20:07Speaker 1: everybody ass up. What you're getting up for if you
- 20:10Speaker 1: can't stand up on your own seem like a personal
- 20:12Speaker 1: problem to me. I get up, fine, help me up. Hey,
- 20:16Speaker 1: come on here and help me up. Help your own
- 20:18Speaker 1: ass up. And you gotta rock him. You got one,
- 20:23Speaker 1: You gotta rock one. I got one. I got one
- 20:25Speaker 1: right here. You ask somebody's house. You're exchanging the restroom.
- 20:30Speaker 1: He's coming out. You going in? Warn me what you
- 20:34Speaker 1: just did? No, okay, let me know there's some damage
- 20:38Speaker 1: in that. Don't just let you walk in, walk in blind? Okay,
- 20:44Speaker 1: your hands up? Hey, man, hey, hey, hey dog, I
- 20:50Speaker 1: just wouldn't. And on that note, kay, we're moving on
- 20:55Speaker 1: coming up next, and as the nephew with running that
- 20:57Speaker 1: frank back. Right after this, you're listening to Steve Harvey

- 21:55Speaker 1: store security. Here at your job. Yeah, listen, I'm trying
- 22:00Speaker 1: to see um. I'm gonna have to I know to
- 22:02Speaker 1: day's your day off. I'm looking at the schedule here.
- 22:05Speaker 1: It seems that you don't come back in until Saturday.
- 22:08Speaker 1: I'm trying to see if it's possible I can get
- 22:10Speaker 1: you to come to the store. There's a bit of
- 22:11Speaker 1: a situation I want to discuss with you. There's about
- 22:14Speaker 1: eighteen hundred dollars worth of merchandise missing from the store.
- 22:18Speaker 1: But yeah, it's about eighteen hundred dollars worth of merchandise.
- 22:23Speaker 1: And we definitely know that this is a in house situation.
- 22:26Speaker 1: This is not someone walking in shoplifting. This is definitely
- 22:30Speaker 1: an in house situation with employees who have evidently been
- 22:35Speaker 1: shoplifting from the store, taking things, and we want to
- 22:37Speaker 1: get down to the to the roots of the problem. Well, ma'am,
- 22:43Speaker 1: it's uh, it's been brought to my attention that there's
- 22:46Speaker 1: a possibility that you may be part of this situation.
- 22:51Speaker 1: And I don't steal, you don't call my house accusing me.
- 22:58Speaker 1: Is still I still listening from nobody? Okay, Well, my
- 23:02Speaker 1: hangar man, what I'm trying to do is just trying
- 23:04Speaker 1: to you, trying to say out and hold something and
- 23:08Speaker 1: I stole them. Okay, wait just a second. Now, do
- 23:11Speaker 1: you have a sister named Cynthia? Yeah, what about it? Well,
- 23:15Speaker 1: now it seems that here on some of the footage
- 23:18Speaker 1: that we have on camera that it's a possibility that
- 23:22Speaker 1: it seems like your sister's actually wearing some of the
- 23:25Speaker 1: merchandise that we sell here in the store. Okay, just
- 23:29Speaker 1: because she wears something that we sell in the store,
- 23:32Speaker 1: don't mean that I stole it. Well, we don't see
- 23:35Speaker 1: where she's at. I've backed the footage up as far
- 23:38Speaker 1: as I could. I don't see any footage of where
- 23:41Speaker 1: she purchased this particular merchandise. And my assumption is maybe
- 23:45Speaker 1: you gave it to her. I gave her And just
- 23:48Speaker 1: because you don't see what somebody purchased it, don't mean
- 23:51Speaker 1: that it's been stolen. Okay, here's what I'm gonna I'm
- 23:54Speaker 1: gonna just get to the chase of this, Tanya. What
- 23:56Speaker 1: I'm gonna have to do is this if I can't
- 23:59Speaker 1: get you to come to the store man. And matter
- 24:02Speaker 1: of fact, here's another question for you before I go
- 24:04Speaker 1: any further. You have children at all, Tanya? Yeah, I
- 24:07Speaker 1: got children? Why do you? Is it possible? Because I'm
- 24:11Speaker 1: missing a lot of baby merchandise as well? And you
- 24:15Speaker 1: know what, you know what you really cruising for this morning? Okay,
- 24:21Speaker 1: because you're gonna call somebody on the off day accusing
- 24:24Speaker 1: them of stealing. Okay, here's what I gotta do. Are
- 24:27Speaker 1: you coming into the office so I can talk with you.
- 24:30Speaker 1: I'm not coming know where on my off day well,
- 24:34Speaker 1: then what's gonna happen, Miss Tanya, is I'm gonna have
- 24:37Speaker 1: to actually come to your home, check your closet. I'm
- 24:40Speaker 1: gonna have to check your kids and see if they're
- 24:43Speaker 1: check and see if they're wearing merchandise that big that
- 24:45Speaker 1: comes from this. Come to my house if you want to,
- 24:48Speaker 1: and they're gonna take your somebody here in the body back.
- 24:51Speaker 1: Excuse me. You heard what I said. You heard what
- 24:54Speaker 1: I said. You don't call nobody. I bust my death store.
- 24:58Speaker 1: I bust my death store. You understand me. I work
- 25:01Speaker 1: hard for y'all. Okay, you're you've been busting you You've
- 25:04Speaker 1: been busting your car here accusing me of stealing. I
- 25:08Speaker 1: ain't so from nobody. I don't have to steal. That's
- 25:11Speaker 1: why I work all that. You understand. I think you've
- 25:14Speaker 1: been busting your butt. Taking stuff is what you've been doing.
- 25:17Speaker 1: You've been from nobody. You understand me. I do not steal.
- 25:22Speaker 1: I'm gonna come over there. I'm checking your closet things,
- 25:25Speaker 1: but it ain't no sea, if you understand. And I'm
- 25:27Speaker 1: checking your babies as well, and I'm making check my
- 25:30Speaker 1: babies to see what happens. You put your hands on
- 25:33Speaker 1: any damn thing in here and see what happens. Okay,
- 25:36Speaker 1: I don't want to have to drag your butt here.
- 25:39Speaker 1: Oh you're gonna drag somebody? Oh? Now you threatening me?
- 25:42Speaker 1: I don't want to drag by of your house security guy.
- 25:45Speaker 1: You tough security guy. You like your job that much
- 25:47Speaker 1: you're willing to die for that? Huh? Who said anything
- 25:50Speaker 1: about me? Die? I did come over here, and that's
- 25:53Speaker 1: what's gonna happen. That's what happens when you put people
- 25:56Speaker 1: on the off days, you get hurt. Okay, I get
- 25:59Speaker 1: a couple of damn days off, and y'all gonna call
- 26:02Speaker 1: me with this boy? So are you threatening me? Now?
- 26:05Speaker 1: I'm threatening you. Didn't you just call and say you
- 26:07Speaker 1: was coming over here? Yes? I did bring you. I'm
- 26:12Speaker 1: don't bring your security. I'm all. Don't let me tell
- 26:16Speaker 1: you something. Okay, I can you. I can have you
- 26:19Speaker 1: brought up on charges. You know that, Bring me up
- 26:21Speaker 1: on charges and see what happens. You see if you
- 26:25Speaker 1: get that first. I'm on my way over there now
- 26:28Speaker 1: to check you and your kids. You understand, man. I'm
- 26:30Speaker 1: over here to check me and my kids and see
- 26:33Speaker 1: how they checked y'all somebody here. Let me tell you something. Now,
- 26:36Speaker 1: you got to tell me. You ain't got nothing to
- 26:39Speaker 1: tell me. You ain't got something. Why don't you go
- 26:42Speaker 1: ahead and tell me what you took? Maybe I'll go
- 26:44Speaker 1: light on you. I'll go like I'm stupid or something.
- 26:47Speaker 1: You don't sound like a damn food. Why don't you
- 26:50Speaker 1: tell me what you took? I took? I bet you
- 26:52Speaker 1: teaching your little kids over there how to steal too.
- 26:55Speaker 1: Aren't you what what you teaching kids? Hey? Hey, hey hey?
- 27:00Speaker 1: Are you hey, hey, hey hey hey? Don't call me
- 27:04Speaker 1: with this on my sake. Let me tell you one mother,
- 27:08Speaker 1: Are you listening to me? I got one more thing
- 27:10Speaker 1: to say to you. You ain't got nothing else to
- 27:12Speaker 1: say to me? Are you listening? What this is? Nephew?

- 32:50Speaker 1: Holding Court, asked me anything we wanted buy the town.
- 32:54Speaker 1: I hate Junior Junior. I didn't even know Sheril. Y'all
- 32:59Speaker 1: trying to give him something? All right, I understand. And
- 33:05Speaker 1: so eight hundred and six eight four twenty eight, twenty
- 33:07Speaker 1: five is the number to call. Come on, Steve, it's
- 33:10Speaker 1: time for today's headlines. Ladies and gentlemen, Miss Anne Trip,
- 33:14Speaker 1: thank you very much, everybody. The top ten Democratic presidential
- 33:18Speaker 1: hopefuls took to the stage in Houston last night and
- 33:21Speaker 1: This is the first time that some of the front
- 33:22Speaker 1: runners actually shared the stage. They were generally courteous to
- 33:26Speaker 1: each other, but they all going after, of course, the
- 33:28Speaker 1: front run of Joe Biden. On most things they pretty
- 33:31Speaker 1: much agreed. But with slight difference is there's a lot
- 33:33Speaker 1: of discussion about guns. In any case, they all had
- 33:37Speaker 1: something different to say on guns. They talked about to
- 33:41Speaker 1: get background checks. I mean, some people just thought some
- 33:44Speaker 1: candidates just thought that we just shouldn't have guns in
- 33:46Speaker 1: the country at all, and others, you know, had other
- 33:49Speaker 1: things to say. Oh, there are fewer than five months
- 33:51Speaker 1: until the first votes are cast in Iowa. Top executives
- 33:55Speaker 1: from some one hundred and fifty US companies, including Twitter
- 33:58Speaker 1: and Dick Sporting Goods, by the way, falling on the
- 34:00Speaker 1: Congress to make it harder to get a gun in
- 34:02Speaker 1: this country. Their official plea comes in the wake of
- 34:05Speaker 1: the most recent mask killings in Dayton, Ohio and l Pasto, Texas.
- 34:09Speaker 1: Let's get back to the Democratic presidential debate. Well, do
- 34:12Speaker 1: you think Trump is responsible for what happened? And I
- 34:14Speaker 1: said he didn't pull the trigger, but he's certainly been
- 34:17Speaker 1: tweeting out the ammunition. Hell yes, we're gonna take your
- 34:20Speaker 1: aar fifteen. Well, let's bring everyone in America into the conversation. Republicans, Democrats,
- 34:25Speaker 1: gun owners and non gun owners alive. Right now on
- 34:28Speaker 1: Mitch McConnell's desk are three bills if you want action now.
- 34:32Speaker 1: We got to send the message to miss McConnell. We
- 34:34Speaker 1: can't wait until one of us gets in the White House.
- 34:37Speaker 1: We have to pass those bills right now. These mass
- 34:40Speaker 1: shootings are tragedies, but the majority of the homicide victims
- 34:44Speaker 1: come from neighborhoods like mine. I will fight this and
- 34:47Speaker 1: bring a fight to the NRA and the corporate gun
- 34:50Speaker 1: lobby like they have never seen. We have a Congress
- 34:53Speaker 1: that is beholden to the gun industry. As President, I
- 34:58Speaker 1: will not be intimidated. And that's how it went in Chicago.
- 35:03Speaker 1: Jury selection begins today in the murder trial for two
- 35:05Speaker 1: of the three men charged with the deliberate murder of
- 35:08Speaker 1: a nine year old little boy a Purport, the son
- 35:10Speaker 1: of a reported gang member, that took place in twenty
- 35:12Speaker 1: fifteen minutes, an attack that prosecutor say was meant to
- 35:15Speaker 1: send a message to the father. The killing of Tyshawn
- 35:18Speaker 1: Lee again, he was nine years old that killing shocked
- 35:21Speaker 1: and disgusted the community. Authorities say the fourth grade was
- 35:24Speaker 1: lured away from a playground into an alley where he
- 35:26Speaker 1: was shot and killed. In Texas, twenty one year old
- 35:29Speaker 1: white man accused of gunning down twenty two people at
- 35:31Speaker 1: an El Paso walmart has been formally and died this
- 35:34Speaker 1: week for capital murder and a restaurant issued yesterday for
- 35:37Speaker 1: r Kelly and Minnesota after he failed to appear for
- 35:39Speaker 1: a hearing. He faces a couple accounts of engaging a
- 35:42Speaker 1: prostitution in person in Minnesota's currently though being held at
- 35:45Speaker 1: the Metropolitan Correctional Center in Chicago, where he's held on
- 35:49Speaker 1: federal sex crime chargers. Finally, though, today is Friday the thirteenth,
- 35:53Speaker 1: which for sums an unlucky day. I totally hear you
- 35:57Speaker 1: on that one. Now back to the Steve Rvey Morning Show.
- 36:00Speaker 1: You're listening to this day Morning Show. Well, guys, last
- 36:04Speaker 1: night in Houston on the campus of Texas Southern University,
- 36:08Speaker 1: it was the third national debate for the Democratic presidential candidates.
- 36:13Speaker 1: Minnesota Senator Amy Klobachar, New Jersey Senator Corey Booker, South Bend,
- 36:18Speaker 1: Indiana Mayor Pete Budajug Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders, former VP
- 36:22Speaker 1: Joe Biden, Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren, California Senator Kamala Harris,
- 36:27Speaker 1: businessman Andrew Yang, former Texas Congressman Beto O'Rourke, former Housing
- 36:33Speaker 1: and Urban Development Secretary Julian Castro. So what do you
- 36:37Speaker 1: guys think? I mean, you know, yeah, all right, Steve,
- 36:40Speaker 1: I gotta ask you this. Who's your top five out
- 36:43Speaker 1: of those ten? I just named you think top five candidates?
- 36:48Speaker 1: Who who do you like best out of the ten?
- 36:52Speaker 1: And I just named Huh, Well, here's who I think
- 36:56Speaker 1: it is. The top five is Uh, Kamela is in
- 37:05Speaker 1: the top five, Biden is in the top five, Bernie
- 37:12Speaker 1: is in the top five. Uh. Somebody's calling me. It
- 37:17Speaker 1: might be Corey Booker. He's not in the top five. No,
- 37:24Speaker 1: I mean, man, I just talk. I just think about reality. Man.
- 37:28Speaker 1: I'm just being real. Listen, man, listen you. I'm trying
- 37:32Speaker 1: to pick the people that I think have a chance
- 37:35Speaker 1: of beating Donald Trump. Yes, that's the only thing that
- 37:42Speaker 1: can that can help us, man. I mean, he's he's
- 37:46Speaker 1: now voted to repeal the Obama Clean Water Act. Did
- 37:55Speaker 1: you hear that the other day. Yeah, I mean yeah,
- 37:59Speaker 1: I'm just like craziness. Yeah, why would you repeal the
- 38:04Speaker 1: Clean Water ECC which stops plants and chemical companies from
- 38:11Speaker 1: dumping into our lakes and rivers? He's repealing that? So no, man,
- 38:19Speaker 1: I'm as serious now, folks, it's really serious. We gotta
- 38:22Speaker 1: get the top five. I think our best chance of
- 38:25Speaker 1: beating him is Biden. Oh yeah, he's still the front
- 38:30Speaker 1: runner too. Second place that we could we could whip
- 38:33Speaker 1: him is Camela. That's number two, Camella. This is your
- 38:38Speaker 1: top five. Oh, Bernie, I ain't never you know, I
- 38:44Speaker 1: just ain't crazy about him President. You a sound like
- 38:50Speaker 1: he ain't gonna make it, all right? Hang on, Steve
- 38:52Speaker 1: coming up at thirty four after the hour, nephew, tell me,
- 38:56Speaker 1: is gonna give us a few reasons to let you
- 38:58Speaker 1: know that you're not ready to love right after this,
- 39:01Speaker 1: and Steve, you can finish your top five right after this.
- 39:05Speaker 1: You're listening show, all right. The nephew, of course, we
- 39:10Speaker 1: know is the host for Ready to Love. You're gonna
- 39:12Speaker 1: tell us about that. And just a minute, nephew, but
- 39:14Speaker 1: we wanted to get back to your your top five
- 39:17Speaker 1: Democratic candidates Steve, who did I pick in the top?
- 39:20Speaker 1: You pick Miss Kamala, Harron, Joe Biden, Biden and Senator
- 39:25Speaker 1: Bernie saying, yeah, you were talking about Bernie when we
- 39:27Speaker 1: went to break. That's that's all I think. Kind of chance, man, Oh,
- 39:34Speaker 1: that can actually beat President Trump right there because she's
- 39:40Speaker 1: she's Jesus right behind Biden leading. Yeah, I'm starting to
- 39:48Speaker 1: listen to what she has to say. Yeah, you know what,
- 39:51Speaker 1: listen to me. I'm not talking about policy. I'm talking
- 39:56Speaker 1: about the reality of who can beat Donald Trump. Because
- 39:59Speaker 1: guess what, ain't None of Donald Trump's policy is good
- 40:03Speaker 1: for us, none of them. So guess what. I just
- 40:08Speaker 1: I'm trying to figure out how you get him out.
- 40:11Speaker 1: And these are the only three people that have a
- 40:13Speaker 1: chance of getting him out. These and you know why
- 40:18Speaker 1: I think they. Let me tell you something, man, Women
- 40:23Speaker 1: voters stunned me last election. Female voters stunned me last
- 40:30Speaker 1: election because candidate right and and the and the Trump
- 40:37Speaker 1: supported the Trump's. The female Trump supporter base is stunning
- 40:43Speaker 1: to me, man, because it's when you hear women talk
- 40:47Speaker 1: like that, it's disheartening. I understand men talking like that.
- 40:53Speaker 1: I'm around them at golf courses and in rooms, and
- 40:57Speaker 1: I got them talking like that. Man, when you hear
- 41:01Speaker 1: women talking about right, hey, man, when women don't care
- 41:05Speaker 1: about babies getting separated at the border, when they don't
- 41:09Speaker 1: care about families, when they don't care about the little man.
- 41:13Speaker 1: When once women start talking like that, we have a problem, partner,
- 41:17Speaker 1: we have a problem. We have a real problem. And
- 41:21Speaker 1: that that's what a norss me about the Trump base.
- 41:27Speaker 1: And it's a lot of women in that base, man.
- 41:31Speaker 1: All right, so the three yeah, and they're married to
- 41:37Speaker 1: those types of men. Yeah, so okay, all right, okay,
- 41:45Speaker 1: well we're gonna move on. Switch three. I'm sorry, Yeah,
- 41:52Speaker 1: you may change your mind, all right, So the Nephew.
- 41:58Speaker 1: You're the host of Ready to Love I am uh
- 42:01Speaker 1: huh so season two, season two on your network, So
- 42:06Speaker 1: tell us about it. Well, we got some issues everybody,
- 42:09Speaker 1: you know. You know, I got my new show. But
- 42:11Speaker 1: everybody is not ready to love? Okay, okay, you're such
- 42:17Speaker 1: an expert on the subject, right, Will Pack And I
- 42:21Speaker 1: did auditions and that's when I realized everybody is not
- 42:25Speaker 1: ready to love. And here's when you know that you're

- 45:52Speaker 1: the same time as that. If that's okay, Okay, some wrong?
- 45:55Speaker 1: Uh No, nothing's wrong. I mean I think I need

- 46:54Speaker 1: we've gotten all your your lab results back everything, and
- 46:57Speaker 1: I kind of got a few questions for you guys
- 47:00Speaker 1: that I'm a little puzzled on. How long have you
- 47:03Speaker 1: guys actually been married. Well, we've been together about three
- 47:06Speaker 1: two years okay, now, prior to being married three years.
- 47:10Speaker 1: How long did you guys know each other before you
- 47:11Speaker 1: got married? About five and a half five six kids years? Okay,
- 47:17Speaker 1: You guys have been knowing each other pretty couch nine
- 47:19Speaker 1: years now all together. Yeah, okay. Are you actually from
- 47:23Speaker 1: the same hometowns? You grew up in the same hometown? Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 47:28Speaker 1: we grew up. I mean if I'm I'm sorry, is
- 47:30Speaker 1: this question? I mean, is this about the insurance or well,
- 47:33Speaker 1: I mean there's a few things that's that actually uh puzzling,
- 47:38Speaker 1: Carmen that we need to this is this is some
- 47:42Speaker 1: news I actually didn't want to bring you, guys. I
- 47:44Speaker 1: mean we have to. I have to actually give you
- 47:47Speaker 1: this news. Looking at our records, looking at all the
- 47:49Speaker 1: test results, and let me be the person to tell
- 47:51Speaker 1: you that we run these results over and over and over,
- 47:55Speaker 1: trying to make sure we are completely one hundred and
- 47:57Speaker 1: fifteen twenty percent right, okay, wrong with the test? Well,
- 48:01Speaker 1: looking at our test, guys, Harvey a garment, it's indicating
- 48:06Speaker 1: that you guys are related. And nine times I'd attend
- 48:10Speaker 1: you are you guys are siblings? Man? What? Ok? And
- 48:19Speaker 1: I understand the shot. It took me. It took everything
- 48:21Speaker 1: I had to make this phone call. I did not
- 48:23Speaker 1: want to make it. But looking at our records, and
- 48:25Speaker 1: we went over these records over and over and and
- 48:29Speaker 1: and the blow works told us that you guys are
- 48:31Speaker 1: actually siblings. Oh man, are you serious? Man? I'm actually
- 48:43Speaker 1: this is not that. This is not a laughing matter,
- 48:44Speaker 1: not a joking matter. You know, Like I said, I
- 48:47Speaker 1: did not want to call with this information. What you
- 48:50Speaker 1: did make the call? Man? Look, I don't know what
- 48:55Speaker 1: You need to go back and and and double check
- 48:57Speaker 1: your records or something. Because you've been married three brief
- 49:02Speaker 1: check with the lab man, can't you check with the
- 49:04Speaker 1: laugh and like Paula's back, Harvey and I knew those
- 49:09Speaker 1: questions would have come up, and we we went over it.
- 49:11Speaker 1: We went over it and over and over it. Y'all
- 49:15Speaker 1: need to go over it again because I don't Oh babe,
- 49:19Speaker 1: I got this. You make the call and this gotta
- 49:23Speaker 1: be wrong. So what you need to do is make
- 49:24Speaker 1: another call it called a lab and call us back
- 49:28Speaker 1: and let us know that you either you know they
- 49:30Speaker 1: made a mistake or you're talking about me and my wife.
- 49:34Speaker 1: And I understand that, Hardy, Harry, let me ask you
- 49:36Speaker 1: this is it possible, you know, and this is just
- 49:39Speaker 1: a question. Is it possible that your dad and maybe
- 49:41Speaker 1: her mom maybe knew each other at some point? And
- 49:44Speaker 1: what you're saying for my mom and dad, that's some
- 49:49Speaker 1: straight look at You need to haven go back and
- 49:51Speaker 1: do whatever you need to do. But I tell you
- 49:53Speaker 1: what you say something like that again, I tell you,
- 49:56Speaker 1: my bad's gonna be coming down that beach like that
- 50:00Speaker 1: old baby, old baby, baby baby. I don't know, baby,
- 50:02Speaker 1: I got it. He hold on, I got a baby.
- 50:05Speaker 1: I got a baby. I gotta say how you're gonna
- 50:07Speaker 1: call me with you what you I'm know you from
- 50:10Speaker 1: a people do like that. But that ain't all I'm doing, sir,
- 50:14Speaker 1: is bringing you the result or I don't you bring
- 50:16Speaker 1: me results in person? And I bet I whomp y'all.
- 50:19Speaker 1: That's what I'm talking about. Hey, sir, even if you
- 50:22Speaker 1: beat the messenger at the end of the day, that's
- 50:24Speaker 1: still your sister. At the end of the day. I'm
- 50:26Speaker 1: gonna whop y'all. But I don't care what you're talking
- 50:28Speaker 1: about nothing. He ain't my damn brother. I got it.
- 50:32Speaker 1: I'm gonna find out you off whatever jupericle you in.
- 50:35Speaker 1: You're gonna call me telling about brother. It's my wife.
- 50:39Speaker 1: I am calling that, sir. Somewhere down the line, somebody
- 50:41Speaker 1: made a mistake, and you guys, my brother and sister
- 50:44Speaker 1: got married. I'm not at fart for that. Let me
- 50:47Speaker 1: tell you to shoot mistake of calling. He's in one
- 50:50Speaker 1: of these numbers again in your life. So I got
- 50:52Speaker 1: one more result I do need to get you got
- 50:57Speaker 1: hold that old what you've been talking about being well
- 50:59Speaker 1: else you got to say, now that's gonna be watching me.

- 53:17Speaker 1: on tight. We got it for you here. It is
- 53:19Speaker 1: Strawberry letter, subject show business isn't for everyone. There, Stephen Shirley,
- 53:24Speaker 1: I'm a fifty year old, devoted wife with a big problem.
- 53:28Speaker 1: I've been married to a great man for twenty three
- 53:31Speaker 1: years and we have two kids in college. He's a
- 53:33Speaker 1: great provider and we both have solid careers, but he
- 53:37Speaker 1: has always had a big dream. He wants to be
- 53:40Speaker 1: a big Broadway actor. My husband wants badly to be
- 53:44Speaker 1: an actor, but he's never been able to make it work.
- 53:47Speaker 1: He's auditioned for a lot of commercials, he's taking act
- 53:50Speaker 1: he's take in acting classes, and he has wasted our
- 53:54Speaker 1: money on hustling his way into some big auditions, but
- 53:57Speaker 1: each time he was rejected. The most he's achieved is
- 54:01Speaker 1: some unpaid adult roles in the local children's theater. To
- 54:05Speaker 1: put it plainly, he can't act worth a darn and
- 54:08Speaker 1: he can't sing to save his life. I love him,
- 54:12Speaker 1: but it's the truth. Our friends and family have sat
- 54:15Speaker 1: through too many bad productions and local plays, and I
- 54:18Speaker 1: simply can't do it anymore. We constantly have to lie
- 54:22Speaker 1: and tell him. He's good, and we know that we
- 54:24Speaker 1: are giving him false encouragement. My biggest problem is now
- 54:27Speaker 1: that our kids are in college, he has come up
- 54:29Speaker 1: with a crazy idea of moving to New York so
- 54:32Speaker 1: he can finally make it big as an actor. He
- 54:36Speaker 1: has no professional experience, but he thinks he just needs
- 54:40Speaker 1: to be discovered to get his first big break. I
- 54:43Speaker 1: don't know how to tell him it's not going to
- 54:44Speaker 1: happen without crushing his spirit. What has a wife to
- 54:47Speaker 1: do when you know your man's hopes most likely will
- 54:51Speaker 1: never be a reality. Steve, you're a superstar, So what
- 54:54Speaker 1: advice do you have for someone who has to tell
- 54:57Speaker 1: their spouse there definitely not going to make it. You
- 55:00Speaker 1: can't upgroup my life with a delusion. Please help Well,
- 55:04Speaker 1: does he have any talent at all? Nothing? Nothing? Because
- 55:11Speaker 1: on one hand, you definitely need to stop lying to him,
- 55:14Speaker 1: you and all your friends, and you all have to
- 55:16Speaker 1: tell him the truth. If you really love him like
- 55:19Speaker 1: you say you do, and those are really his friends,
- 55:22Speaker 1: you guys have to sit him down and tell him
- 55:24Speaker 1: the truth. Maybe he didn't take enough acting classes sometimes,
- 55:29Speaker 1: you know, maybe he needs more. You know, sometimes you
- 55:32Speaker 1: can you know, maybe on the other hand, you don't
- 55:36Speaker 1: want to be the one to just kill his dream.
- 55:38Speaker 1: This is a dream of his, so you know, you
- 55:41Speaker 1: gotta you have to support him as a wife because
- 55:45Speaker 1: you know he's going to be crushed to know that
- 55:47Speaker 1: you really don't believe in him, all right, But obviously
- 55:50Speaker 1: he believes in himself, which is a good thing, no
- 55:53Speaker 1: matter how many rejections he's gotten. Because I mean, actors
- 55:58Speaker 1: say this all the time about the rejections they have
- 56:01Speaker 1: to deal with, and they do have to deal with
- 56:03Speaker 1: a lot of rejections. And no, I don't think that
- 56:06Speaker 1: you should uproot your life, but I do think, you know,
- 56:10Speaker 1: maybe you should have one more good chance for him,
- 56:13Speaker 1: you know, give him a chance to pursue his dream.
- 56:16Speaker 1: You know, pick a date, uh, set up some auditions,
- 56:20Speaker 1: send out some videotapes, video auditions, video auditions, and if
- 56:24Speaker 1: he gets a bite, if he gets you know, a
- 56:26Speaker 1: callback or something, maybe then he can go to New York.
- 56:30Speaker 1: If it's something something permanent. Okay, But I would encourage
- 56:34Speaker 1: him to keep taking those classes because I don't think
- 56:36Speaker 1: he should kill his dream. I don't he has it,
- 56:40Speaker 1: he has I don't want her to crush this time.
- 56:46Speaker 1: This time out for this. Too old for this, fifty
- 56:50Speaker 1: years old. You've been with this man twenty three years.
- 56:53Speaker 1: He ain't made it hit Damn kids is gonna have degrees,
- 56:57Speaker 1: so he'd make it. He's a great provider, that's what
- 57:02Speaker 1: he is. Got a solid career, that's what That's what
- 57:08Speaker 1: he is. He's always had a big dream. He wants
- 57:12Speaker 1: to be a big Broadway actor. My husband wants badly
- 57:17Speaker 1: be an actor, but he ain't never been able to
- 57:19Speaker 1: make it work. He'd an audition for commercials. He taking
- 57:24Speaker 1: acting classes. He didn't wasted money hustling his way into
- 57:29Speaker 1: some big auditions, and every time he rejected because he
- 57:34Speaker 1: can't act. Your damn husband can't act. But whatever, that's
- 57:42Speaker 1: why he always getting That's why he got to hustle
- 57:44Speaker 1: his way into these auditions. Ain't nobody asked him to
- 57:47Speaker 1: come down now they had him at the other auditions.
- 57:52Speaker 1: He can't act. The most he's achieving some unpaid adult
- 57:59Speaker 1: roles the local children's theater. Now, old fat ass, and
- 58:04Speaker 1: somewhere he did treat the tree. You're in the children's theater,
- 58:11Speaker 1: Your big ass is the treat. To put it plainly,
- 58:18Speaker 1: he can't act worth for damn. I said this two letters,
- 58:22Speaker 1: two sentences in. He can't act word for damn and
- 58:28Speaker 1: can't sing to save his life. So if somebody had
- 58:33Speaker 1: a gun on him and said, if you can sound
- 58:36Speaker 1: like any record out today, I won't shoot you. His
- 58:39Speaker 1: ass to be shot. I love him, but it's the truth,
- 58:44Speaker 1: and the truth will set you free, friends and family
- 58:48Speaker 1: to set through too many bad productions and local plays,
- 58:52Speaker 1: and I can't do it, no damn more just sending
- 58:56Speaker 1: up lying to his old ass, telling him he good,
- 58:59Speaker 1: and we know we giving him false encouragement. Your ass
- 59:02Speaker 1: ain't nothing but a tree. Now, he didn't came up
- 59:11Speaker 1: with some crazy idea of moving in New York. You
- 59:13Speaker 1: know how much it costs live in New York. You
- 59:18Speaker 1: don't fit to high his old ass, and he ain't
- 59:21Speaker 1: been nothing but a tree. We come back. I'm gonna
- 59:27Speaker 1: tell you the rest of it. How about you don't
- 59:30Speaker 1: want to kill his dream? Ain't no damn dream? All right,
- 59:34Speaker 1: we'll have part two of Steve's very sweet response coming
- 59:37Speaker 1: up at twenty three after the hour. Today's subject is
- 59:41Speaker 1: show business isn't for everyone. It isn't for everyone, and
- 59:45Speaker 1: it may not be for your husband. We'll be back
- 59:47Speaker 1: with part two at twenty three after right after this,
- 59:50Speaker 1: you're listening to show, all right, Steve, Come on, let's
- 59:55Speaker 1: recap today's Strawberry Letters. Subject show business isn't for everyone.
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: Fifty old man been married to this fifty year old dude.
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: Fifty year old woman. She'd been married to this man
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: twenty three years. The kids and went off to college.
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: He'd been trying to make it as an actor all
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: this time. He can't. He hadn't been auditions. He always
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: get rejected, and he'd hustle his way into big auditions,
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: he always get rejected. He just he can't act. You know.
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: He hadn't been in some unpaid adult roles in a
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: local children's theater. We all know what that means. He
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: can't act with for damn. He can't saying word for damn.
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: He's a good provider, but other than that, he's not
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: worth for damn. Now, let's just speak clear. Wow, friends
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: and families and sect do too many bad productions and
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: local plays, and you can't do it no more. Where
- 1:00:50Speaker 1: you think you can't do it your friends, is damn
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: show time. Ah Here he can, he probably won't in
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: plays where he's selling tickets to it. Everybody in the
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: plane got to sell fifteen tickets. Yeah, that's probably what
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: he doing. He can't act. I was scared when I
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: first saw this letter that but but because I thought
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: it was about somebody I knew. But then it turned
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: on because oh, he do want to be a big
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: Broadway actor. Now I was just saying it was somebody
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: I know. He auditioned for a lot of commercial he
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: took acting classes, but then it started going bad because
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: he said, but he can't act one for damn. So
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: then I knew it wasn't Tim because Tommy asked can act.
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: But at first I was very I was gonna do it,
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: but then you know, it said he can't act, and
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: that's Tommy can really act though, so I had I
- 1:01:59Speaker 1: had to bang up off. So he's not nobody. I know.
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: He has no professoral experience. He just thinks he needs
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: to be discovered to get his first big break. I
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: don't know how to tell him it's not gonna happen
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: without crushing his spirit. We got to get this spirit crushing.
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: We have gotten soon for y'all mess around and he
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: find a place in Manhattan. Y'all ass gonna starve to
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: death going up there trying to be a starving actor.
- 1:02:31Speaker 1: Now listen to me. First of all, here's the truth.
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: This is not a dream that you're crushing. This is
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: his delusion. He's delusion. He's not dreaming. This is a delusion.
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: And if you go to night if you go to
- 1:02:48Speaker 1: New York, this's gonna become a night man. Here's something
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: else we need to come to the realization. All dreams
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: don't come true. They don't. Sixteen years old, I dreamed
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: of Michelle Piers. It's always because then people can respect
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: your transparency and maybe he can see some of him
- 1:03:19Speaker 1: in me. Now I dreamed of Michelle Pierce at sixteen.
- 1:03:26Speaker 1: What happened? Michelle Pierce been married twice to everybody, but
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: Michelle Pierce came to one of my shows in Columbus,
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: Ohio with her husband. Oh my god, Handsome, I can't
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: believe you've made it. She called me handsome, she got you.
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: I knew she was lying. I like somebody else, never
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: really heard that before any through me. What do you
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: mean like someone else? What? He back over here? No,
- 1:04:08Speaker 1: if you throw a rock in a pack of dogs,
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: the one that holler is the one you hit Junior. No,
- 1:04:19Speaker 1: he's not attractive. Jay knows he's not attractive. See that,
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: I'm not I'm not getting this last this show that
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: got a problem with it is the one that's I'm
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: not getting in this. So now, y'all, I'm with you,
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: agree with you. Yeah, all dreams don't come true. Now,
- 1:04:47Speaker 1: if y'all, if you don't put this out of his head,
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: y'all ass gonna be in New y'all. And I can't
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: tell you how much that's gonna cost. And these great
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: careers y'all got gonna be over because his job don't
- 1:04:59Speaker 1: transfer to New York. Nick, are you gonna be up
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: there in the back of something Broadway theater swipping, sweeping,
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: trying to be evidence Champagne King that he just gonna
- 1:05:09Speaker 1: bust out singing movies all roll then he gonna get
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: fired from the mopping jo. We need to stop this
- 1:05:24Speaker 1: before it gets started. You and your friends need to
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: sit down. It's really not your friends. Don't include your friends.
- 1:05:31Speaker 1: You have to sit down as the wife and go, honey, listen,
- 1:05:36Speaker 1: Harry step You can't you can't act by saying all right,
- 1:05:41Speaker 1: thank you, Steve, don't stop this. I'm will leave your
- 1:05:45Speaker 1: comments on Today's Strawberry Letter of Instagram, Facebook, at Steve

- 1:19:20Speaker 1: where you said your your nurse was the best stick
- 1:19:24Speaker 1: up man in the business. I was like, is there
- 1:19:28Speaker 1: no end to this? I love your attitude. You have
- 1:19:31Speaker 1: the best attitude. You absolutely do. Yeah, you are j Yeah,
- 1:19:37Speaker 1: you're a great example. All right, Steve, it's time for
- 1:19:40Speaker 1: you to take us through the weekend with your closing remarks. Hey,
- 1:19:45Speaker 1: you know, I've been sharing lately about the revelations that
- 1:19:53Speaker 1: oh I came to on my vacation this summer. It's
- 1:19:57Speaker 1: probably the best one I've ever done, because I got,
- 1:20:02Speaker 1: I got spiritually, I just became a better person. And uh,
- 1:20:07Speaker 1: you know, the old meat crops up every now and then. Uh,
- 1:20:12Speaker 1: I don't I don't know that he leaves permanently. Uh.
- 1:20:17Speaker 1: I'm in a battle with him from time to time
- 1:20:20Speaker 1: because he certainly wants to do some talking sometimes when
- 1:20:23Speaker 1: he shouldn't. But that's just I guess that's something to
- 1:20:27Speaker 1: be ongoing. I guess we all are working progress process progress, right.
- 1:20:31Speaker 1: But one of the things, man, I had come to
- 1:20:33Speaker 1: the conclusion I wanted to share with y'all. You know,
- 1:20:37Speaker 1: I really, uh came into a new light of understanding
- 1:20:42Speaker 1: what the Lord's prayers. And one of the lines in
- 1:20:44Speaker 1: the Lord's prayers says, uh, that will be done on
- 1:20:48Speaker 1: earth as it is in heaven. And I never really
- 1:20:52Speaker 1: thought about that much. And then it started dawning on
- 1:20:56Speaker 1: me that when you say thy will be done on
- 1:21:03Speaker 1: earth as it is in heaven, you're really just trying
- 1:21:05Speaker 1: to really align yourself up with the will of God.
- 1:21:11Speaker 1: And what that what that meant for me was, in
- 1:21:13Speaker 1: the simple layman terms, was you know, you've often heard
- 1:21:19Speaker 1: people say, whatever your plan is, God's plan is way
- 1:21:22Speaker 1: better than your plan. So for me, in a simple
- 1:21:26Speaker 1: way to put it, it was just thy will be
- 1:21:29Speaker 1: done on earth as it is in heaven. So whatever
- 1:21:32Speaker 1: whatever it is you got for me down here on earth,
- 1:21:35Speaker 1: you know, you know, let's uh, you know, let's make
- 1:21:39Speaker 1: that happen and line me up into that way of thinking.
- 1:21:44Speaker 1: So your will be done on earth as it is
- 1:21:47Speaker 1: in heaven. So you can't do that, But can I
- 1:21:50Speaker 1: be truthful what your hears? What's happening for years? Man?
- 1:21:54Speaker 1: And I don't know if a lot of people like this,
- 1:21:56Speaker 1: but I really think it is. Most of us don't
- 1:22:02Speaker 1: want to ask God to let his will be done
- 1:22:05Speaker 1: in our life for a simple fact that we think
- 1:22:10Speaker 1: that He's gonna have us doing something that we don't
- 1:22:13Speaker 1: want to do. I mean, let's be honest with it.
- 1:22:17Speaker 1: Most of us running too the conflict of having God's
- 1:22:22Speaker 1: will be done because we think that he's gonna have
- 1:22:27Speaker 1: us out there knocking on doors, you know, thumping a Bible,
- 1:22:31Speaker 1: and and and getting all up in people every where
- 1:22:34Speaker 1: you go to witnessing and trying to tell him about something,
- 1:22:38Speaker 1: and losing your friends and all this here. You really
- 1:22:42Speaker 1: didn't want and I didn't want to ask God to
- 1:22:46Speaker 1: let his will be done in my life because I
- 1:22:47Speaker 1: thought he was gonna have me. He was gonna make
- 1:22:51Speaker 1: me do somebody want to do. But do you know
- 1:22:54Speaker 1: what the truth of the matter was, what I was
- 1:22:56Speaker 1: really afraid of was I was afraid that I was
- 1:23:00Speaker 1: gonna have to stop doing what I wanted to do.
- 1:23:04Speaker 1: It wasn't that I was so afraid of what he
- 1:23:08Speaker 1: wanted me to do, but I was more concerned with
- 1:23:12Speaker 1: what I was gonna have to stop doing what I
- 1:23:15Speaker 1: wanted to do because I was young. I'm having fun,
- 1:23:21Speaker 1: I'm doing me, I'm living my best life. No, man,
- 1:23:29Speaker 1: I wasn't. I wasn't living my best life. It wasn't
- 1:23:35Speaker 1: going that good for me, or I was doing like
- 1:23:39Speaker 1: I wanted to. But that was unchecked and it wasn't
- 1:23:43Speaker 1: a good way to be, man. It just wasn't. And
- 1:23:47Speaker 1: if you're in that space right now, let me just
- 1:23:50Speaker 1: be a little bit encouraging to you that what God
- 1:23:54Speaker 1: has for you. Man, it's so much greater than what
- 1:23:57Speaker 1: you could possibly won't for yourself. You can't even really
- 1:24:01Speaker 1: imagine how cool God is. You know, y'all think, man,
- 1:24:06Speaker 1: that God makes you stuck stuck up in all this,
- 1:24:09Speaker 1: you know, mant God actually wants you to have a
- 1:24:11Speaker 1: good time. God wants you to enjoy yourself. He wants
- 1:24:14Speaker 1: you to enjoy life. He wants you to stop worrying.
- 1:24:17Speaker 1: He wants you to stop being overburdened. He wants you
- 1:24:20Speaker 1: to stop taking everything on your own and tripping. He
- 1:24:23Speaker 1: wants you to hand it to him. God really wants
- 1:24:25Speaker 1: you to relax and chill. He's really really a cool God.
- 1:24:29Speaker 1: That relationship that you fam with God, it's really a
- 1:24:31Speaker 1: cool relationship. It really is. Man. But you got so
- 1:24:36Speaker 1: many church folks got you thinking that this relationship with
- 1:24:39Speaker 1: God is sitting up with your nose in the air,
- 1:24:41Speaker 1: dressed up on Sundays, you know, looking down on people
- 1:24:45Speaker 1: in pass and judgment. That's them, that ain't God. That's them,
- 1:24:51Speaker 1: that is not God. God. That's not a requirement. I
- 1:24:56Speaker 1: wish I had known this a long time ago, because
- 1:24:59Speaker 1: out of straightened up a long time ago. But man
- 1:25:03Speaker 1: formal relationship with God. Ask God for his will to
- 1:25:07Speaker 1: be done in your life, because what you don't understand
- 1:25:10Speaker 1: is He got a great plan for you. He wants
- 1:25:12Speaker 1: you to prosper. He wants you to benefit from all
- 1:25:15Speaker 1: the things he has. He wants you to enjoy it
- 1:25:18Speaker 1: and be a recipient of His blessings and grace, and
- 1:25:20Speaker 1: he wants you to enjoy your life. He really does.
- 1:25:24Speaker 1: I know a lot of people that's enjoying their life
- 1:25:26Speaker 1: and they got relationship with God. Don't let the devil
- 1:25:29Speaker 1: fool you, man and make you think he gonna turn
- 1:25:31Speaker 1: you into something you don't want to be. He might
- 1:25:33Speaker 1: mess around and turn you into something y'all always wanted
- 1:25:36Speaker 1: to be, in a better version of the one you
- 1:25:38Speaker 1: thought of. Those are my closing remarks today. Y'all have
