- 2:41Speaker 1: Good Life Patty LaBelle. Hey, Well you know how I'm
- 2:49Speaker 1: doing great. First of all, I want to thank you
- 2:51Speaker 1: because three years ago I started Money Making Conversation and
- 2:54Speaker 1: it was just an idea and I was only gonna
- 2:56Speaker 1: and you came on my show and I was going
- 2:59Speaker 1: to do it just for six tweets, and you told me.
- 3:01Speaker 1: You told me I had a gift. You said you
- 3:03Speaker 1: you you can do this, that's what you can do.
- 3:06Speaker 1: And guess what, three years later, I'm still here celebrating
- 3:10Speaker 1: your birthday. And thank you for inspiring me to and
- 3:14Speaker 1: and where it's been said, I've been changing lives and
- 3:17Speaker 1: giving people a voice that didn't have a voice in
- 3:19Speaker 1: the fields of entertaining entrepreneurship. Thank you, Patty the Bell,
- 3:24Speaker 1: thank you and thank you so much. And I know
- 3:26Speaker 1: you're gonna be that man that I knew you were
- 3:29Speaker 1: from back in the day. And look at you. Let's
- 3:33Speaker 1: talk about thank you. Let's talk about this food girl,
- 3:36Speaker 1: Patty's Good Life. The live features eight I know they
- 3:40Speaker 1: features eight lies because your boy was shopping this morning.
- 3:43Speaker 1: I went to waltmart I live in Atlanta. Okay, this
- 3:46Speaker 1: is what I go because I'm gonna be celebrating because
- 3:49Speaker 1: you know, it's like, Patt, I won't be there for
- 3:51Speaker 1: your birthday. So I said, what's a cool way to
- 3:54Speaker 1: give her a gift? To show them? Thinking about as
- 3:56Speaker 1: a short love. So what I'm gonna do? I said, perfect,
- 3:59Speaker 1: I'm go. I went and bought him this morning. This
- 4:01Speaker 1: was bat I found the macron and cheese. It's made
- 4:04Speaker 1: what I'm gonna tell everybody what's made with the extra
- 4:06Speaker 1: and green. It's made with cheddar cheese, monary Jack cheese,
- 4:09Speaker 1: and real butter. Then I got the bee stew that's
- 4:13Speaker 1: tend to be brisket and hardy sauce with potatoes, corn peas,
- 4:17Speaker 1: and carrots. Then I also got the Southern style greens,
- 4:21Speaker 1: which is seasoned kale with a touch of hot pepper.
- 4:24Speaker 1: And I'm tell you something, this was. I really loved
- 4:26Speaker 1: that you got black eyed peas, black eye pen with
- 4:31Speaker 1: smoked turkey, sweet onions and glics. Right there, I'm busting
- 4:35Speaker 1: that box open because I also got some of your
- 4:38Speaker 1: sweet corn bread. I got some of your sweet corn bread,
- 4:41Speaker 1: and then you topped it off. Because I came back home,
- 4:43Speaker 1: my wife said, I didn't know Patty, because you know,
- 4:45Speaker 1: she was saying, I thought she just did pass. I know,
- 4:48Speaker 1: Patty got it going on. And then this was open
- 4:51Speaker 1: her eyes. When I pulled out the ochra stew with okra,
- 4:55Speaker 1: tomatoes and sweet corn, she said she went shut up.
- 5:00Speaker 1: Patty got Okrah, said Patty, Yes, that's one of my favorites. Yes, honey.
- 5:05Speaker 1: And then you know, and then well, so what I'm
- 5:08Speaker 1: gonna do is on your birthday, I'm i'm i'm, I'm
- 5:11Speaker 1: a i'm a post. I'm gonna say happy birthday to
- 5:14Speaker 1: my favorite perfect Happy seventy six birthday, because you're an
- 5:17Speaker 1: entrepreneur and you and you're still doing the things that
- 5:20Speaker 1: you want to do. And I reasonedly bringing it up
- 5:22Speaker 1: because I saw you on Kelly Clarkson show and then
- 5:28Speaker 1: they were sappling that Kelly was sapping your food. The
- 5:31Speaker 1: majority you give to people, Explain that, Explain that that
- 5:35Speaker 1: that that that love you have for life, Patty on
- 5:37Speaker 1: my show and tell people, I guess it's because of
- 5:41Speaker 1: my mom and dad. They were both loving people outgoing
- 5:45Speaker 1: bear the neighborhood and just made people feel like they
- 5:49Speaker 1: wanted to smile instead of frowning. And with me, I noticed,
- 5:53Speaker 1: you know, since I've been performing for fifty six years
- 5:56Speaker 1: and I've touched so many people just when I hugged them, right,
- 6:00Speaker 1: you know, or when I smile or say something positive
- 6:03Speaker 1: to them, don't cause you nothing to be a lifter
- 6:07Speaker 1: of people. And it's natural for me. It's natural, you know,
- 6:12Speaker 1: it's it's which was always cool about you, Patty. Like
- 6:14Speaker 1: I was interviewing Holly Robinson Petey December and she was
- 6:18Speaker 1: telling me I'm doing I'm doing a Christmas show with
- 6:21Speaker 1: Patty the Bill, and it was like her voice dropped
- 6:23Speaker 1: down and she was like it was a reverence, you know,
- 6:27Speaker 1: like and then you know, because I would, Girl, you're
- 6:29Speaker 1: gonna do something with It was like we all joined
- 6:31Speaker 1: in into a club of happiness. Girl, you're doing something
- 6:34Speaker 1: with Patty, you know. And I'd like to believe I'm
- 6:39Speaker 1: a successful person. We all know Holly Robinson pizza successful person.
- 6:42Speaker 1: But just to work with you work what you means
- 6:45Speaker 1: that there's there's there's something special that's about to happen,
- 6:49Speaker 1: because your time means something to us. You You're a treasure,
- 6:52Speaker 1: your treasure. I appreciate that and not really feel as
- 6:56Speaker 1: that you're telling the truth because as I said, I'm
- 6:59Speaker 1: sending six and I've been working for fifty six years,
- 7:02Speaker 1: and whenever I go and say that, I get this
- 7:04Speaker 1: great feeling from the audience that it pleased to be
- 7:07Speaker 1: with me that night. Now I'm going to give them
- 7:10Speaker 1: something special. Yeah, nothing is pretend. Oh no, when you
- 7:14Speaker 1: start flapping those wings, now, don't flapping those wings? You
- 7:17Speaker 1: know that's that's like a signature for that. You know,
- 7:20Speaker 1: it's about to do her thing. It's about to do
- 7:22Speaker 1: her thing. And those are the blessings of being able
- 7:26Speaker 1: to what were you at? What song? Do you what
- 7:28Speaker 1: song you like? What what song met something dude, you
- 7:31Speaker 1: have that type of career, that type of brand. And
- 7:34Speaker 1: the reason I bring that up because to become an
- 7:36Speaker 1: entrepreneur in this level, you know where you where you
- 7:39Speaker 1: can go in your store. And like I said, I
- 7:41Speaker 1: saw your face on the box on several boxs and
- 7:47Speaker 1: I know where he started. You know, started with the
- 7:48Speaker 1: sweeper tator Pie. So let's walk us through that still
- 7:51Speaker 1: or being an entrepreneur and when you when you go
- 7:54Speaker 1: in the store sometimes and see your box, your face
- 7:58Speaker 1: on that box, talker, tell us about a journey of
- 8:00Speaker 1: being an entrepreneur. Patty, It's finally here, the season of celebration.
- 8:05Speaker 1: And no matter how you celebrate with family and friends,

- 9:58Speaker 1: E R dot Ai. Okay, when when? Because I've always
- 10:03Speaker 1: cooked all my life, and so at one point I said,
- 10:06Speaker 1: this is my second love, singing his first, and I
- 10:10Speaker 1: should do it and try to feed people. You know,
- 10:12Speaker 1: I wasn't thinking about the money at the time, but
- 10:14Speaker 1: I just knew how good my food was, and I
- 10:16Speaker 1: wanted people to say, who can I have a second?
- 10:18Speaker 1: And so it started with the sleep and hated pies
- 10:21Speaker 1: and all the sweet items that my mother made. I
- 10:24Speaker 1: watched my mother and my aunt make these certain items,
- 10:28Speaker 1: and I gravitated to them cooking. Because I was very
- 10:31Speaker 1: shy tid. I stayed at home. I never went out
- 10:33Speaker 1: and played with kids. I learned how to cook. So
- 10:36Speaker 1: that's my gift. And now that I when when my
- 10:39Speaker 1: babies were my grand babies were in the store and
- 10:41Speaker 1: their mother took a video of them and they were
- 10:43Speaker 1: walking down the aisles. That that's glad my patty about
- 10:48Speaker 1: I said, oh, that made me feel like my babies
- 10:50Speaker 1: are seeing my face on FLO And I was in
- 10:54Speaker 1: the store once and saw it and it made me
- 10:56Speaker 1: feel special, honey, just so blessed, so us. And you
- 11:01Speaker 1: know the real interesting thing about it is that I remember,
- 11:04Speaker 1: we won't go back to journey. How blessing. And if
- 11:07Speaker 1: you're good, I would telling you if you treat people
- 11:09Speaker 1: right and you're good people, and good things happen to you.
- 11:11Speaker 1: Because when you put the sweet pertato pie in the store,
- 11:14Speaker 1: that young man to say, he decided to taste and
- 11:22Speaker 1: sing about it while he was eating it. And I'm
- 11:24Speaker 1: gonna tell you some I would tell you how big
- 11:25Speaker 1: that guy. I was in l A. And it's a
- 11:27Speaker 1: Fox executive, white guy, white guy, Fox executive, and we
- 11:31Speaker 1: was talking about doing the TV show and he said,
- 11:34Speaker 1: rou Sean, have you seen that Pat video? That's what
- 11:36Speaker 1: you're talking about? He said, sweepertator pipe video, that's what
- 11:39Speaker 1: you're talking about, and he pulled it out. That's how
- 11:42Speaker 1: deep In had gotten. That's how viral that got. I know,
- 11:47Speaker 1: that's one. He's one of my best friends. Sound I
- 11:50Speaker 1: didn't know him before that. No, I was shocked to
- 11:52Speaker 1: think the video myself. I said, Dad. He got it
- 11:55Speaker 1: like that. He liked that time like that. Oh God,
- 11:58Speaker 1: so we met and and that's history. I mean, we're
- 12:01Speaker 1: friends forever. But that's that, that's that. You can't buy
- 12:05Speaker 1: that because once he did, the pies could not stay
- 12:09Speaker 1: in the store. Uh huh. That's true. And at the
- 12:13Speaker 1: beginning when they went out, they were doing really well.
- 12:16Speaker 1: But when he did that, they weren't even more. Hey, Patty, Patty,
- 12:22Speaker 1: I went and got a couple, you know, I I
- 12:25Speaker 1: but you have to call around, you know, you just
- 12:27Speaker 1: couldn't like just walking the walk on and get with
- 12:29Speaker 1: the call in. Say it's the Patty Pie. There's the
- 12:31Speaker 1: Patty Poe. And they knew so what you call they knew. No,
- 12:35Speaker 1: we're not they're being this Friday Friday. And so you
- 12:39Speaker 1: can't buy that type of market. And he gave it
- 12:41Speaker 1: to you. And the thing about it is that, you
- 12:44Speaker 1: know what I always tell people, you know, once you
- 12:46Speaker 1: get an opportunity, make sure you can deliver. And you
- 12:49Speaker 1: delivered on the pot, the taste of the pie, the
- 12:51Speaker 1: crust of the pie, all that stuff. You didn't cheat
- 12:54Speaker 1: your fans, you didn't cheat me. Because you know, black people,
- 12:58Speaker 1: you know, we get all the come on, black people,
- 13:02Speaker 1: what was that right? Now? I don't want nobody to
- 13:05Speaker 1: be be up. We spend our hard, our money's messing
- 13:10Speaker 1: around because they would not have bought it and drove
- 13:14Speaker 1: and the beauty of it, it happened at the right
- 13:16Speaker 1: time doing that Thanksgiving run. Oh, it was just It's
- 13:20Speaker 1: just all the stars lined up. That lined up. The
- 13:22Speaker 1: sweet potato pote now came back with the peach cobbler. Now,
- 13:28Speaker 1: tell us about how did you get into this next
- 13:30Speaker 1: line that I just mentioned the macaroni and cheese to
- 13:33Speaker 1: beat brisket step, Oh my god, Because I'm always making dinner.
- 13:37Speaker 1: I'm always looking for a certain things to add to
- 13:40Speaker 1: the chicken or the roast ham or something. So of
- 13:43Speaker 1: course my size would have been like the greens. All right,
- 13:46Speaker 1: macaroni and cheese. I've been making that forever and everybody
- 13:49Speaker 1: loves that. And so I said, well, let's just put
- 13:52Speaker 1: out a few items and see if people buy this
- 13:54Speaker 1: way don't have to cook dinner. They don't have to
- 13:57Speaker 1: buy desserts. I mean, they have to buy a dessert spot,
- 14:00Speaker 1: but you don't have to make your own dessert. And
- 14:02Speaker 1: it's easy for women or men like you to buy
- 14:05Speaker 1: and relax and I have to cook and all the
- 14:09Speaker 1: food is good. Well, it's really good. That's why. That's
- 14:13Speaker 1: I'm telling something because you're bore about to start promoting.
- 14:16Speaker 1: I'm not gonna be at the level of James. Now.
- 14:18Speaker 1: He he did some astronomical but I'm but I just
- 14:21Speaker 1: know doing the pandemic times. You know, this product is
- 14:25Speaker 1: you know, people want to just go home. Just put
- 14:27Speaker 1: it in microway, put in the oven. It's some great food.
- 14:29Speaker 1: It's rare, and I guess it's it's a lot of
- 14:32Speaker 1: food in this package. I'm just I'm opening yet, but
- 14:34Speaker 1: I know weight, I know waight, I mean you do.
- 14:38Speaker 1: I just got something just a family serving here and
- 14:42Speaker 1: so and so it was so funny that I was
- 14:44Speaker 1: because I'm an old school I'm from Houston, Texas and
- 14:46Speaker 1: the country boar. I love butter milk. I love I'm oh,
- 14:49Speaker 1: I love sugar my butter milk. And so you know
- 14:52Speaker 1: when I saw that corn bread girl, I said, I'm
- 14:54Speaker 1: gonna get this. I'm gonna make me some corn bread.
- 14:56Speaker 1: I'm gonna put that ship in it, but I'm gonna
- 14:58Speaker 1: crumble up this good old patty like cool bread in there.
- 15:01Speaker 1: And that's gonna be my dessert on side. I'm just
- 15:03Speaker 1: gonna let you know you've got that into a dessert.
- 15:08Speaker 1: Absolutely absolutely. I'm just gonna have fun because of the
- 15:12Speaker 1: fact that you have. You have given me a gift
- 15:15Speaker 1: because you've been doing it all Like I want to
- 15:17Speaker 1: just shift a little gear because you've been an advocate
- 15:20Speaker 1: for adoptions, diabetes, cancer, hiv A and many other causes
- 15:25Speaker 1: and nonprofit initiatives. I wanted. That's a lot of responsibility
- 15:30Speaker 1: because people call that they want your time, like you're
- 15:34Speaker 1: doing the the charity festival in philip pH Love you know,
- 15:37Speaker 1: when you're headlining and you're sharing your time. Okay, what
- 15:42Speaker 1: drives that energy, Patty? I was born with this um.
- 15:48Speaker 1: I'm a I'm a total giver and it don't cost
- 15:52Speaker 1: me nothing to give what God has given me. So
- 15:55Speaker 1: I give it and with a smile on my face
- 15:57Speaker 1: and wait to be asked to do some more stuff
- 15:59Speaker 1: because I'm that girl. You know, there's nothing that I
- 16:02Speaker 1: can't do for people. I can do it all well.
- 16:05Speaker 1: And I appreciate that, and I appreciate the fact that
- 16:07Speaker 1: you're now dropping videos on your social media. Now he
- 16:12Speaker 1: is here. I'm not saying I'm a stalker, Patty, okay,
- 16:16Speaker 1: but I love you to death. And so I'm going
- 16:19Speaker 1: on Instagram, and you know, I look at Instagram, I
- 16:21Speaker 1: can type your name pops up and I saw you cooking,
- 16:24Speaker 1: all right, And then so I went to your pr
- 16:27Speaker 1: for I want your pr from I said, it's Patty
- 16:29Speaker 1: dropping videos. Why is nobody told me Patty dropping video?
- 16:33Speaker 1: Because on my social media fall, I got like eight
- 16:35Speaker 1: hundred thousands on Facebook followers of women, eight percent of
- 16:39Speaker 1: the women because I cook a lot. And so so
- 16:42Speaker 1: if if if I'm gonna find anybody that's out there cooking,
- 16:45Speaker 1: Patty gots to be, I gotta share her past on
- 16:48Speaker 1: my social media. And so so I shared that and
- 16:52Speaker 1: then I found out you dropped another video. Didn't nobody
- 16:54Speaker 1: tell him you dropped the second cooking video? So what
- 16:59Speaker 1: are you doing? You're doing you're controlling your brand or
- 17:01Speaker 1: you're just you're you're feeling good about you. You know
