- 0:00Speaker 1: I mean, I knew Gavin for four years. I got
- 0:02Speaker 1: along great with him. If you take a look at
- 0:04Speaker 1: what he's done. So they lost twenty five thousand houses.
- 0:07Speaker 1: Do you know they haven't issued one building for him?
- 0:09Speaker 1: And yes, so these people are trying to rebuild the houses.
- 0:11Speaker 2: But he does something. He did something even worse than that.
- 0:14Speaker 2: He's now taking a big section.
- 0:16Speaker 1: Of Palisades or some area and he's going to build
- 0:19Speaker 1: low income housing where they used to have luxury housing.
- 0:21Speaker 1: He's going to put low income housing in. Honestly, I
- 0:24Speaker 1: always like him, but he's a horrible governor.

- 2:37Speaker 4: Ben forty seven or nine seven to two Patriot and
- 2:42Speaker 4: make the switch today. It's a forty seven morning update
- 2:46Speaker 4: and it starts right now.
- 2:48Speaker 2: Story number one.
- 2:49Speaker 4: We're starting with good news sort of day forty one
- 2:53Speaker 4: of the longest federal shutdown in US history. There is
- 2:56Speaker 4: movement now, there's still a shutdown in the deal points
- 3:00Speaker 4: that Democrats are fighting over this all while there's still
- 3:04Speaker 4: chaos in the sky. Snap benefits are in limbo, and
- 3:08Speaker 4: we now know that lawmakers in the House are in
- 3:11Speaker 4: a thirty six hour return notice. This is the longest
- 3:16Speaker 4: ever government shutdown and it's on the verge of ending
- 3:20Speaker 4: food aid benefits remaining again in limbo. Why is this
- 3:24Speaker 4: happening Because Democrats are still wanting you to blame Donald
- 3:27Speaker 4: Trump and they believe they have the upper hand. That's
- 3:30Speaker 4: also happening while we're seeing massive flight cancelations and delays
- 3:35Speaker 4: they're disrupting travelers all over the US and international travelers
- 3:39Speaker 4: coming into the US. Now, the Senate on Sunday took
- 3:43Speaker 4: the first major step towards voting on a biperson deal
- 3:46Speaker 4: reached between some Democrats, eight of them, and Republicans and
- 3:51Speaker 4: President Donald Trump. Now, this would fully reopen the government
- 3:54Speaker 4: until January the thirtiest, so there's still going to be
- 3:57Speaker 4: work to be done after that. The agreement would also
- 4:01Speaker 4: keep various other federal benefits, including snap benefits and veteran
- 4:05Speaker 4: services funded through the next year.
- 4:08Speaker 2: That's a positive. Now. A decision by a small group
- 4:12Speaker 2: of moderate.
- 4:13Speaker 4: Democrats that defected from the rest of their party marked
- 4:17Speaker 4: the biggest turning point since the shutdown began on October
- 4:20Speaker 4: the first, But it also prompted immediate political blowback, as
- 4:24Speaker 4: many Democrats are now urging those colleagues to quote hold
- 4:29Speaker 4: out for greater spending on things like Medicaid and Obamacare.
- 4:34Speaker 4: That is what they're doing. So what happens next is
- 4:37Speaker 4: the question that so many of you are asking. Well,
- 4:40Speaker 4: now that there are eight Democrats that have signaled support
- 4:43Speaker 4: for reopening the government, Congress has to clear a number
- 4:47Speaker 4: of procedural hurdles they could have done this, by the way,
- 4:51Speaker 4: on Sunday night, Democrats deliberately wanted it to hurt a
- 4:54Speaker 4: little bit longer. This means this could delay things as
- 4:58Speaker 4: far as Friday, if no one to now. When the
- 5:01Speaker 4: new funding deal passes the Senate, which could come as
- 5:04Speaker 4: soon as late Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday, the package will
- 5:08Speaker 4: then have to pass the House of Representatives, which hasn't
- 5:11Speaker 4: taken a vote in weeks. Lawmakers in the House have
- 5:15Speaker 4: now been put on a thirty six hour return noticed
- 5:17Speaker 4: as I mentioned earlier, so it would likely take quote
- 5:21Speaker 4: several days, barring any travel issues lawmakers in my experience,
- 5:26Speaker 4: to get back to DC because of the shutdown for
- 5:28Speaker 4: them to even pass any of the Senate bills. The
- 5:31Speaker 4: Senate Majority leader John Thune indicated last week that he
- 5:35Speaker 4: didn't think the shutdown would last pass Thanksgiving. Now again,
- 5:39Speaker 4: you're dealing with Democrats that are wanting this to happen now.
- 5:43Speaker 4: President Trump has also come out saying he supports the
- 5:45Speaker 4: Senate deal to reopen the government that's been broken between
- 5:48Speaker 4: Republican leaders and the eight Democratic lawmakers, saying, quote, based
- 5:52Speaker 4: on everything I'm hearing, they haven't changed anything. Trump told
- 5:55Speaker 4: reporters in the Oval Office, and we have support from
- 5:59Speaker 4: enough Democrats. We're going to reopen our country. It's too
- 6:02Speaker 4: bad it was closed, but we'll be reopening our country
- 6:05Speaker 4: very quickly.
- 6:06Speaker 2: Trump went on to say, now, the.
- 6:07Speaker 4: Agreement would reverse Trump's recent firing of federal workers during
- 6:12Speaker 4: the shutdown, but the President suggested he's fine with that, saying, quote,
- 6:16Speaker 4: I'll abide by the deal.
- 6:17Speaker 2: The deal is very good.
- 6:19Speaker 4: So then the question becomes, what's actually in this deal?
- 6:23Speaker 2: Let me explain that for you.
- 6:25Speaker 4: The agreed to deal as it stands right now, would
- 6:28Speaker 4: reopen the government until January thirtieth. It would also include
- 6:33Speaker 4: full year funding for several agencies and programs, including food Aid,
- 6:38Speaker 4: veterans benefits, SNAP funding with continued food stamps through the
- 6:42Speaker 4: September at higher levels. It also includes a commitment to
- 6:47Speaker 4: vote on a bill to potentially extend the expiring Obamacare subsidies,
- 6:51Speaker 4: the tax credits which millions of Americans rely on to
- 6:55Speaker 4: help pay government premiums. So that's part of this welfare
- 6:59Speaker 4: program since it happened because of Obamacare. Now, in addition,
- 7:03Speaker 4: the deal would reverse the layoffs of thousands of federal
- 7:06Speaker 4: workers while barring any potential firing until January thirtieth, the
- 7:11Speaker 4: terminations have been temporarily blocked by a federal court judge.
- 7:16Speaker 4: A handful of Senate Democrats have backed the compromise to
- 7:19Speaker 4: reopen the government, but it didn't make them any popular
- 7:24Speaker 4: with their fellow leftists anarchists that are holding us all hostage.
- 7:28Speaker 4: Making this deal is malpractice, is what the new Jersey
- 7:31Speaker 4: governor elect said in a statement. Pathetic is what Governor
- 7:35Speaker 4: of California Gaven Newsom said, and most Senate Democrats balked
- 7:39Speaker 4: at the compromise. Mark Warner, Democrat from Virginia, said Quota
- 7:43Speaker 4: cannot support a deal that still leaves millions of Americans
- 7:46Speaker 4: wondering how they're going to pay for their health care
- 7:49Speaker 4: or whether they will be able to afford to afford
- 7:51Speaker 4: to get sick at all.
- 7:53Speaker 2: Now.
- 7:53Speaker 4: President Trump is also tried to deal with what's happening
- 7:56Speaker 4: in our airports. He has ordered all air traffic controllers
- 8:00Speaker 4: back to work. Trump threatening to dock the pay of
- 8:03Speaker 4: air traffic controllers who haven't reported to work as flight
- 8:06Speaker 4: delays and cancelations have spiked all over the country. He
- 8:10Speaker 4: said it this way, very simply, quote, all air traffic
- 8:13Speaker 4: controllers must get back to work now. Anyone who doesn't
- 8:17Speaker 4: will be substantially docked. Many air traffic controllers continued working
- 8:23Speaker 4: without a paycheck during the shutdown.
- 8:25Speaker 2: They will get back paid, just so you know.
- 8:27Speaker 4: But many have refused or didn't report to airports across
- 8:30Speaker 4: the country. That's what prompted the FAA to order airlines
- 8:33Speaker 4: to cancel four percent of their flights over the weekend.
- 8:37Speaker 4: Trump has urged the controllers who didn't show up for
- 8:40Speaker 4: work to quit, and he pledged to recommend ten thousand
- 8:43Speaker 4: dollars bonuses to controllers who continued working, saying this for
- 8:48Speaker 4: those air traffic controllers who were great patriots and didn't
- 8:53Speaker 4: take any time off for the Democrats shutdown hoax, I
- 8:57Speaker 4: will be recommending a bonus of ten thousand person for
- 9:01Speaker 4: distinguished service to our country. For those that did nothing
- 9:04Speaker 4: but complain and took full time off, even though even
- 9:08Speaker 4: though everyone knew they would be paid in full shortly
- 9:12Speaker 4: into the future, I am not happy with you.
- 9:16Speaker 2: Now.
- 9:16Speaker 4: How bad are the cancelations? Delta Airlines announced it's canceled
- 9:20Speaker 4: nearly five hundred flights under a government directive during the shutdown,
- 9:25Speaker 4: and that all cancelations through November twelfth have been completed.
- 9:29Speaker 4: The airline canceled two hundred and eighty mainline flights and
- 9:32Speaker 4: two hundred and fifteen Delta Connection regional flights. Additional delays
- 9:37Speaker 4: and cancelations, they say still may be needed to cope
- 9:41Speaker 4: with air traffic control restrictions. The airline is now warning quote,
- 9:45Speaker 4: Delta teams continue to safely manage our operations and care
- 9:49Speaker 4: for customers who have experienced cancelations and delays. United Airlines
- 9:54Speaker 4: this is what they've said. They said it is sticking
- 9:56Speaker 4: with the government ordered flight cancelations through at least November
- 10:01Speaker 4: the twelfth, as Congress debates the potential end of the shutdown.
- 10:04Speaker 4: The Federal Aviation Administration has ordered airlines to reduce their
- 10:08Speaker 4: flights four percent November seventh to cope with strains on
- 10:13Speaker 4: air traffic controllers who suffered absences while continue to work
- 10:17Speaker 4: during the shutdown, saying quote, we will continue to make
- 10:20Speaker 4: rolling updates to our schedule if the government shutdown continues,
- 10:24Speaker 4: and share the latest information as we have it. The
- 10:27Speaker 4: airline sentness statement as well on social media. Now, Republicans
- 10:31Speaker 4: say that, well, you cannot hide from the crisis that
- 10:34Speaker 4: was created by Democrats, And I want you to hear
- 10:36Speaker 4: what Speaker Johnson had to say about the Democrats using
- 10:40Speaker 4: the American people as leverage.
- 10:43Speaker 5: Figure Johnson, I loved your quote. It's the beginning of
- 10:46Speaker 5: the end of the shutdown, very Churchillian. I like that
- 10:49Speaker 5: very much. But you know, but at the end of
- 10:52Speaker 5: this whole thing, they're basically going back to your CR.
- 10:56Speaker 5: I know there's a few add ons here veterans construction,
- 11:01Speaker 5: no at tax destruction, but basically they could have just
- 11:04Speaker 5: voted yes on your CR in the first place. And
- 11:07Speaker 5: I don't understand how stupid this is. And I think
- 11:10Speaker 5: millions of Americans are very aggravated over this.
- 11:13Speaker 6: They are, and you're right, it was stupid. To your's
- 11:16Speaker 6: word and my word is utterly pointless. I mean, forty
- 11:20Speaker 6: days we've had the country wandering in the wilderness because
- 11:23Speaker 6: of the Democrats in transigence, and they've made the American
- 11:27Speaker 6: people suffer needlessly. And at the end of all this,
- 11:29Speaker 6: you now have a handful of Democrats who have come
- 11:31Speaker 6: to their senses. They're prepared to do the right thing
- 11:34Speaker 6: reopen the government. They're going to do, Larry, to your point,
- 11:37Speaker 6: exactly what we asked them to do.
- 11:38Speaker 2: Weeks ago.
- 11:39Speaker 6: I mean, all of this was really for nothing. And
- 11:42Speaker 6: it's so sad that they have used the American people
- 11:45Speaker 6: as their leverage, that's their own quote, as ponds in
- 11:48Speaker 6: this political game, so that Chuck Schumer could have political
- 11:50Speaker 6: cover back in New York. I mean, it's really unconscionable.
- 11:53Speaker 4: Now anestly, there's also another aspect of this shutdown, and
- 11:56Speaker 4: that is the civil war that's happening as we speak
- 11:59Speaker 4: right now within the Democratic Party. Senator Dick Durbin, for example,
- 12:04Speaker 4: openly admitted the Democrats knew the damage that they were
- 12:08Speaker 4: going to cause the families by shutting the government down,
- 12:12Speaker 4: saying from the four of the Senate earlier today, I
- 12:14Speaker 4: cannot accept a strategy which wages political battle at the
- 12:18Speaker 4: expense of my neighbor's paychecked or the food for his children.
- 12:25Speaker 2: Now, Chuck Schumer, and this was the Schumer shut down.
- 12:28Speaker 4: He was forced to do it, held hostage by the
- 12:30Speaker 4: extreme wing of the Democratic Party, the aocs of his
- 12:33Speaker 4: party that he's afraid are going to actually come after
- 12:36Speaker 4: him in a primary. Well, now Democrats are mad that
- 12:39Speaker 4: this deal is getting done. In fact, one Democratic strategist
- 12:42Speaker 4: today on MSNBC said this about Chuck Schumer.
- 12:46Speaker 7: Chuld Chuck schumergh and yet yes, Chuck Schumer should go.
- 12:48Speaker 7: I'm sorry to say, Chuck schumershag go. I voted for
- 12:50Speaker 7: many times. I am ideologically quite aligned with where he
- 12:54Speaker 7: is as a Senator, but he's no longer capable of
- 12:57Speaker 7: running this caucus. He's no longer capable leading the Democratic Party.
- 13:01Speaker 7: I am a lifeline. I mean, I am an establishment Democrat,
- 13:05Speaker 7: and I'm here to say that Bernie Sanders is much
- 13:07Speaker 7: more in line with where I and many other Democrats
- 13:10Speaker 7: are today than Chuck Schumer is. And you know, if
- 13:13Speaker 7: you would have asked me that five years ago, I
- 13:15Speaker 7: would have laughed at you. So that just to the
- 13:16Speaker 7: underscore exactly how furious, how furious Democrats are today for
- 13:21Speaker 7: putting the country through this without having it.
- 13:24Speaker 4: Out, without having an out. This is the Democratic Party
- 13:29Speaker 4: right now telling you how bad the Civil War is.
- 13:32Speaker 2: It wasn't enough that.
- 13:34Speaker 4: They actually decide to shut down the government for the
- 13:36Speaker 4: longest period in history. They're now saying Chuck Schumer must
- 13:40Speaker 4: go and the extreme of the party should be mainlined.
- 13:45Speaker 2: Seth Moulton on Chuck Schumer saying this.
- 13:48Speaker 6: Yeah, and do you think that change, that need for
- 13:50Speaker 6: a change in leadership would also extend to Chuck Schumer.
- 13:52Speaker 6: If you were elected to the Senate, would you want
- 13:54Speaker 6: to see, Okay, I'm.
- 13:56Speaker 8: Not going to run on a new generation of leadership
- 13:58Speaker 8: platform here in Massachusetts and then go down a wat
- 14:00Speaker 8: Washington and vote for the status quo. And so I've
- 14:02Speaker 8: been very public about that. Again, you know, respect his service,
- 14:07Speaker 8: but time to move on. And you know my opponent
- 14:11Speaker 8: has not. He keeps dodging the question.
- 14:13Speaker 4: That is a man who's running for Senate in Massachusetts
- 14:16Speaker 4: saying this will be over if I am elected and
- 14:22Speaker 4: we will get rid of Chuck Schumer one more that's
- 14:25Speaker 4: also saying the same exact thing. Democrats continuing to call
- 14:29Speaker 4: for him to be done, and the media following suit.
- 14:32Speaker 4: On the View today, Sonny Houston saying this about it's
- 14:37Speaker 4: time for Schumer to be gone, saying his days are over.
- 14:41Speaker 9: You know, you do something like this, shame on you
- 14:44Speaker 9: the first time. You do it twice, three times, four times,
- 14:48Speaker 9: Shame on me, Shame on the Democrats. We're even believing
- 14:50Speaker 9: that the Republicans will you know, even vote on it.
- 14:56Speaker 9: There's no guarantee in this new deal that there's going
- 14:59Speaker 9: to be a vot. There's no even commitment to have
- 15:02Speaker 9: a vote. So the bottom line is the Democrats went
- 15:04Speaker 9: into this after a blue wave out of the American
- 15:07Speaker 9: people saying we do want the opposition, the working people
- 15:11Speaker 9: want the Democratic Party to fight for them, and now
- 15:15Speaker 9: they just cave and surrendered. I think Chuck Schumer his
- 15:18Speaker 9: days are over.
- 15:19Speaker 4: His days are over. So there it is Democrats admitting
- 15:23Speaker 4: they did it on purpose. They're hurting Americans on purpose.
- 15:26Speaker 4: They're delaying open the government right now, even as they
- 15:29Speaker 4: agree to open the government on purpose, and they want
- 15:32Speaker 4: it to hurt on purpose, and there is a civil
- 15:35Speaker 4: war in the Democratic Party. Chuck Schumer is no longer
- 15:39Speaker 4: extreme enough for the Democratic Party. So if you think
- 15:44Speaker 4: this was a grand success for Democrats, look at what
- 15:47Speaker 4: they're saying about their own party right now. And Donald Trump,
- 15:51Speaker 4: as he made it clear today, it's time to get
- 15:53Speaker 4: our government back open and get us back to working.
- 15:57Speaker 4: And that's the most important thing for so many Americas
- 16:00Speaker 4: hit insteader being held hostage by the Democratic Party.
