Get ready to savor Beaumont’s heart at Some Other Place’s 24th annual Tasting fundraiser on August 18 — just $15 gets you samples from 40+ local spots like St. Mark’s chili and Broussard’s brisket bites. This is their only annual fundraiser, but their mission runs year-round: since 1968, they’ve been meeting community needs with everything from holiday kids’ programs and back-to-school drives to free clothing, food pantries, daily soup kitchens, and life-transition support.
