Latest / The Ben Ferguson Podcast / DOJ Considers DELAYING Hunter Biden's Plea Hearing as More Facts Come Out that are Damning to the BIDENS!
Transcript
- 0:01Speaker 1: The Daily Mail is now reporting an exclusive that the
- 0:05Speaker 1: Hunter Biden plea hearing could be quote delayed as the
- 0:10Speaker 1: Justice Department considers the firestorm of sweetheart deal allegations by
- 0:15Speaker 1: whistleblowers and claims that the Attorney General Merrick Garland lied
- 0:20Speaker 1: to Congress about the criminal tax probe. A Delaware federal
- 0:26Speaker 1: judge is set to decide whether to accept Hunter Biden's
- 0:29Speaker 1: plea agreement. Now, DOJ official has said to the Daily
- 0:33Speaker 1: Mail that the Department is now discussing delaying Hunter Biden's
- 0:36Speaker 1: plea hearing following all the accusations of corruption and the whistleblowers.
- 0:44Speaker 1: They claim that the Attorney General not only wasn't doing
- 0:46Speaker 1: it the right way, but he lied to Congress about
- 0:49Speaker 1: the entire Biden criminal probe. On July twenty six, the
- 0:54Speaker 1: Delaware federal judges set to decide whether to accept the
- 0:57Speaker 1: first Sun's plea deal with prosecutors over two tax misdemeanors.
- 1:02Speaker 1: The gun charges will be dismissed. Republican lawmakers are now
- 1:06Speaker 1: calling for that judge to toss out the slap on
- 1:10Speaker 1: the wrist and sweetheart deal entirely. Why because whistleblowers were
- 1:16Speaker 1: so angry over the deal that they've risked their entire careers.
- 1:20Speaker 1: Whistleblowers from the IRS who investigated hunter Biden for five
- 1:24Speaker 1: years say that he could instead have been charged with
- 1:27Speaker 1: a raft of more serious tax and corruption crimes now.
- 1:33Speaker 1: A legal filing also reveals the DOJ is considering delaying
- 1:38Speaker 1: the finalization of the plea deal amid the uproar quote unquote,
- 1:45Speaker 1: this is obviously a significant change now. Conservative organization the
- 1:51Speaker 1: Heritage Foundation, is also suing the Justice Department for failing
- 1:55Speaker 1: to release Delaware Prosecutor David Weiss's communication records under the
- 2:01Speaker 1: Freedom of Information Act. A court filing by the Heritage
- 2:05Speaker 1: Foundation last week documented a June twenty ninth phone call
- 2:10Speaker 1: between their lawyer and the DOJ Council Jason Lynch, in
- 2:14Speaker 1: which the Justice official allegedly made the stunding ad mission.
- 2:17Speaker 1: Foundation lawyer Samuel Dewey pointed out to the DOJ attorney
- 2:22Speaker 1: that they could ask the federal judge n hunter Biden's
- 2:25Speaker 1: criminal case for his July twenty sixth plea hearing to
- 2:28Speaker 1: be delayed to give them more time to process and
- 2:31Speaker 1: release Weiss's records and allow scrutiny of the prosecutor bargain
- 2:36Speaker 1: that was given out DOJ Council indicated that plaintiffs were
- 2:41Speaker 1: absolutely right that the Department could file such a motion,
- 2:45Speaker 1: and the DOJ Council would take that point back to
- 2:48Speaker 1: the district, presumably speaking to the District of Delaware. The
- 2:52Speaker 1: Heritage Foundation wrote, Deuay's description suggests the Justice Department could
- 2:57Speaker 1: now be debating whether to delay submitting the plead altogether.
- 3:01Speaker 1: They do have the capability to move the plea deal,
- 3:04Speaker 1: though they didn't indicate any likelihood they would. Heritage Foundation
- 3:08Speaker 1: oversight director Mike Howell said to The Daily Mail, the
- 3:11Speaker 1: public has an interest to assess for themselves.
- 3:14Speaker 2: Is this a sweetheart deal? It certainly appears to be.
- 3:18Speaker 1: This information needs to be out in the public, and
- 3:20Speaker 1: it's in the public interest for it to be out
- 3:22Speaker 1: prior to any plea bargains being signed off on now.
- 3:27Speaker 1: The Heritage Foundation filed the Freedom of Information Act request
- 3:30Speaker 1: to the Department of Justice in March, asking for any
- 3:33Speaker 1: documents or communications between Weiss's Delaware office and other DOJ
- 3:38Speaker 1: officials about the Hunter Biden probe. They sue the department
- 3:42Speaker 1: after it failed to produce any records for months. Howell
- 3:47Speaker 1: said the Foundation is looking for evidence to back up
- 3:50Speaker 1: claims by whistleblowers that, in fact, David Weiss was denied
- 3:55Speaker 1: the ability to prosecute the first son's crimes in other districts,
- 3:59Speaker 1: including Central California and Washington DC. Now I'm going to
- 4:04Speaker 1: stop there with this part of the story because I
- 4:06Speaker 1: want to bring in another part of this story.
- 4:08Speaker 2: But first I want to.
- 4:09Speaker 1: Take a quick moment to tell you about our good
- 4:11Speaker 1: friends since Augusta Precious Metals. Have you been saving a
- 4:14Speaker 1: long time for retirement? Well, if you have, you've probably
- 4:17Speaker 1: been really stressed out over the last year with interest
- 4:19Speaker 1: rates have been skyrocketing, inflation issues, bank failures, and people
- 4:24Speaker 1: that have actually lost.
- 4:24Speaker 2: Some money in their retirement accounts.
- 4:27Speaker 1: If you aren't invested and diversified in gold, you should
- 4:32Speaker 1: check out Augusta Precious Metals.

- 4:47Speaker 1: oh one K in this crazy economy. And it's so
- 4:50Speaker 1: important if you're in retirement or close to retirement, because
- 4:53Speaker 1: there's no time to make up losses. Now, if you've
- 4:56Speaker 1: had those losses, you know what I'm talking about. So,
- 4:59Speaker 1: if you've saved a hundred one thousand dollars or more,
- 5:01Speaker 1: take a look at their free guy that they'll send

- 5:07Speaker 1: you to talk about your financial portfolio. Both are filled
- 5:11Speaker 1: with economic insights and their gold IRA info will give
- 5:14Speaker 1: you peace of mind of knowing that, hey, you can
- 5:16Speaker 1: protect your hard earned dollars eight seven to seven the
- 5:20Speaker 1: number four GOLDR. That's eight seven to seven the number
- 5:24Speaker 1: four GOLDRA. Or visit Augusta Precious Medals dot com. That's
- 5:31Speaker 1: Augusta Precious Medals dot com er eight seven seven the
- 5:35Speaker 1: number four GOLDR. We're also now being told that Hunter
- 5:39Speaker 1: Biden's prosecutor received October twenty twenty briefing on claims that
- 5:48Speaker 1: Joe Biden and his son each received five million dollars
- 5:53Speaker 1: in bribes. Republicans are now demanding the FBI memo and
- 6:00Speaker 1: they are demanding to know why this damning FBI memo
- 6:03Speaker 1: wasn't investigated and the irs wasn't informed on it as well.
- 6:08Speaker 1: With their investigation, a top attorney who is prosecuting Hunter
- 6:13Speaker 1: Biden was apparently briefed about allegations that Joe and his
- 6:18Speaker 1: son were both taking five million in bribes. According to
- 6:24Speaker 1: a letter obtained also by The Daily Mail, Grassley sent
- 6:28Speaker 1: to Delaware US Attorney David Weiss, who is prosecuting Hunter
- 6:31Speaker 1: Biden for federal gun and tax crimes. Senators alleged obstruction
- 6:36Speaker 1: of the Hunter probe by one of his top prosecutors,
- 6:40Speaker 1: the assistant US Attorney Leslie Wolff. This is a big
- 6:43Speaker 1: deal deal, Republican Senator Chuck Grasseley is claiming now that
- 6:47Speaker 1: not only did he did not investigate it, but he
- 6:49Speaker 1: left the IRS investigators out of the meeting altogether, Which
- 6:53Speaker 1: makes no sense if they were investigating Hunter Biden, and
- 6:56Speaker 1: obviously he knew they were investigating the Biden crime family,
- 7:00Speaker 1: so why would you leave them out of it all together.
- 7:04Speaker 1: Grassley says that, according to the IRS whistleblowers, wolf prevented
- 7:09Speaker 1: investigators from seeking information about Joe Biden's involvement in Hunter's
- 7:12Speaker 1: criminal business arrangements. Whistle Blower Gary Shapley specifically say that
- 7:17Speaker 1: Wolfe discouraged quote unquote investigators from pursuing Joe Biden's connected leads,
- 7:24Speaker 1: including by thwarting a search warrant request of Biden's Delaware
- 7:28Speaker 1: guest house due to bad quote optics, and that the
- 7:32Speaker 1: prosecutor said there was no specific criminality. So to be clear,
- 7:36Speaker 1: it's not bad optics when you raid the home of
- 7:38Speaker 1: a former president over classified documents, but it's bad optics
- 7:44Speaker 1: to raid the garage of a former vice president and
- 7:49Speaker 1: his son when they're receiving ten million dollars in bribes allegedly.
- 7:54Speaker 2: You cannot make this up, now, the Senator.
- 8:00Speaker 1: There's reference also a meeting on October the twenty third,
- 8:04Speaker 1: twenty twenty, during which he says the Department of Justice
- 8:08Speaker 1: and the FBI officials from the Pittsburgh Field Office brief
- 8:13Speaker 1: Wolf and agents from the Baltimore Office with respect to
- 8:17Speaker 1: the contents of the FBI generated FD one zero two
- 8:20Speaker 1: to three alleging a criminal bribery scheme involving then Vice
- 8:25Speaker 1: President Biden and Hunter Biden without any IRS agents present.
- 8:31Speaker 1: All Right, So everybody in the room knew the IRS
- 8:34Speaker 1: was investigating these tax crimes. Everybody in the room knew
- 8:37Speaker 1: that the IRS should be in that room. Everybody in
- 8:40Speaker 1: the room knew that they should immediately call and say, hey,
- 8:43Speaker 1: then we need to read the IRS into this because
- 8:45Speaker 1: they need to know about five million dollars in bribes
- 8:48Speaker 1: going to each of these individuals through foreign nationals who are,
- 8:54Speaker 1: by the way, so the shadiest business deals deals in
- 8:57Speaker 1: the world. This on top of the more than one
- 9:01Speaker 1: hundred suspicious activity reports that were also released. According to
- 9:08Speaker 1: a highly credible whistleblower, An internal FBI memo created in
- 9:12Speaker 1: twenty twenty based on information from a well paid informant,
- 9:17Speaker 1: allegedly says then Vice President Joe Biden and Hunter Biden
- 9:21Speaker 1: each got five million dollars a bribe from a Ukrainian
- 9:24Speaker 1: foreign national exchange for quote policy decisions. The national, a
- 9:30Speaker 1: Barisma executive, also allegedly has phone recordings of Joe and
- 9:34Speaker 1: Hunter that he kept as an insurance policy. However, the
- 9:39Speaker 1: meeting did not include any IRS agents. Grassley added in
- 9:42Speaker 1: his July the ninth letter, the Center writes an light
- 9:46Speaker 1: of the a the AUSA Wolf's alleged questionable and obstructive
- 9:52Speaker 1: conduct during the course of your investigation, He's seeking clarification
- 9:57Speaker 1: from Weiss with respect to the whistleblower's new allegations. Hunter Biden,
- 10:03Speaker 1: as you know, has agreed to a plea deal with
- 10:05Speaker 1: Weiss pleading guilty to two misdemeanor tax charges and entering
- 10:10Speaker 1: probation over a gun charge, meaning he will not see
- 10:13Speaker 1: a single day in jail. However, to IRS whistleblowers, including
- 10:18Speaker 1: a fourteen year agent Gary Shapley, came forward to the
- 10:21Speaker 1: House Ways and Means Committee last month and alleged that
- 10:25Speaker 1: the top Justice Department officials, including the Attorney General Merrick Garland,
- 10:30Speaker 1: directly interfered in the criminal investigation of Hunter Biden, which
- 10:34Speaker 1: means that Merrick Garland lied under oath. If this whistleblower
- 10:38Speaker 1: is telling the truth, I want you to hear something
- 10:42Speaker 1: that Matthew Whitaker said. Matthew Winacker, former acting US Attorney
- 10:47Speaker 1: General under Donald Trump. He was asked about the possibility
- 10:52Speaker 1: of a delay of the Hunter Biden plea hearing, and
- 10:54Speaker 1: I want you to hear what he had to say
- 10:56Speaker 1: about it.
- 10:57Speaker 2: Take a listen.
- 10:58Speaker 3: Say what's happening right now is the discipline of the
- 11:04Speaker 3: Department of Justice is fraying because every line assistant the
- 11:09Speaker 3: United States Attorney knows that this deal that Hunter Biden's
- 11:12Speaker 3: getting is extraordinary. As I've talked about many times, it
- 11:16Speaker 3: is outside of the mainstream of what these typical deals
- 11:21Speaker 3: would get the fact that they blew the statute of
- 11:23Speaker 3: limitations on the most serious charges and we're unwilling to
- 11:28Speaker 3: bring those in other districts like d C and Los Angeles,
- 11:32Speaker 3: I think tells us everything we need to know.
- 11:33Speaker 4: And I think Merrick Garland is certainly hearing that from
- 11:37Speaker 4: the rank and file.
- 11:39Speaker 3: And you know, they're better off to kick the can
- 11:41Speaker 3: down the road than to, you know, kind of take
- 11:43Speaker 3: what's about to happen at main Justice and across the
- 11:47Speaker 3: US Jorney's offices around the United States. So I think
- 11:51Speaker 3: they may want to delay it, But knowing Merrick Garland
- 11:55Speaker 3: is and the way he's been running the Department of Justice,
- 11:59Speaker 3: I would be if ultimately they don't just go forward
- 12:02Speaker 3: with it. And because you know, it's just kind of
- 12:04Speaker 3: I would compare the way Hunter Biden's been going on
- 12:06Speaker 3: these trips to Ireland and you know, on these vacations
- 12:10Speaker 3: with his dad and hanging out at the White House
- 12:12Speaker 3: on July fourth. I think they're just thumbing the nose,
- 12:15Speaker 3: thumbing their nose at the American people, and you know,
- 12:18Speaker 3: it's really a shame.
- 12:21Speaker 2: He's right, it is really a shame.
- 12:23Speaker 1: But you have a President of the United States of
- 12:25Speaker 1: America and a family that clearly believes that they are
- 12:27Speaker 1: at one hundred percent above the law. And that's exactly
- 12:30Speaker 1: the reason why Whitaker right there, who's a brilliant guy.
- 12:33Speaker 1: I just travel with him to Ukraine, or I say
- 12:36Speaker 1: to budapas, excuse me on that trip over there to
- 12:39Speaker 1: meet with the Prime minister. He is very concerned in
- 12:42Speaker 1: saying that there are a lot of rank and file
- 12:44Speaker 1: people that are beyond enraged over this. They are just
- 12:50Speaker 1: incredibly frustrated to watch this plea deal come through the
- 12:54Speaker 1: way that it's coming through now. Prosecutor is also fighting
- 12:59Speaker 1: back on the eye IRS's official account of the request
- 13:02Speaker 1: in the Hunter Biden case. And let me tell you
- 13:04Speaker 1: that David Weiss, the US attorney in Delaware, said he
- 13:07Speaker 1: never asked to be named a special counsel, disputing testimony
- 13:11Speaker 1: to a House panel this past week. Weiss the federal
- 13:14Speaker 1: prosecutor in Delaware who the media is upset saying he
- 13:17Speaker 1: was Trump appointed. That's true, but David Whis doesn't get
- 13:20Speaker 1: the job without two hardcore liberal Democrats picking him first.
- 13:25Speaker 1: To be clear, the two senators from Delaware do not
- 13:29Speaker 1: pick him and put his name to Donald Trump.
- 13:33Speaker 2: He never gets the job.
- 13:34Speaker 1: So don't believe for a second that this is somehow
- 13:37Speaker 1: like a Trump pick.
- 13:38Speaker 2: It's not. The name is handed to Trump. Trump says,
- 13:41Speaker 2: okay to it.
- 13:42Speaker 1: This is how it works when you are a senator,
- 13:45Speaker 1: a sitting senator. You're gonna pick who the federal prosecutor
- 13:48Speaker 1: is going to be in your state, and you do
- 13:51Speaker 1: it with the other senator from your state. Now, in
- 13:53Speaker 1: a letter to the Senate Judiciary Committee, mister Weiss said
- 13:57Speaker 1: that he had never asked the Justice Department for to
- 14:00Speaker 1: give him special council status to pursue the case. That
- 14:03Speaker 1: is contradicting testimony to the House Ways and Means Committee
- 14:06Speaker 1: by the IRS official Gary Shapley, who said mister Weiss
- 14:10Speaker 1: had sought the status and had been turned down. Now,
- 14:13Speaker 1: obviously we know one of these two men now is
- 14:16Speaker 1: officially lying to us. Now, mister Weiss suggested that mister
- 14:19Speaker 1: Shapley might have misunderstood him during an October twenty twenty meeting.
- 14:25Speaker 1: Mister Weiss has attorney for Delaware, who was appointed to
- 14:28Speaker 1: the role under President Donald Trump, said in the letter
- 14:32Speaker 1: that he had approached a Department higher up about the
- 14:35Speaker 1: possibility of requesting status as a special attorney, not, he says,
- 14:39Speaker 1: as a special counsel. Deputizing a federal prosecutor as a
- 14:43Speaker 1: special attorney is distinct from making one a special council.
- 14:48Speaker 1: A special attorney provision in essence, a workaround that allows
- 14:52Speaker 1: an outsigner to intervene in cases that spend multiple jurisdictions
- 14:57Speaker 1: or have special conditions. The special council regulations, by contrast,
- 15:02Speaker 1: contain internal Justice Department reporting requirements and Congressional oversight provisions quote.
- 15:09Speaker 1: To clarify an apparent miss perception and to avoid further confusion,
- 15:16Speaker 1: I wish to make one point clear in this case,
- 15:19Speaker 1: I have not requested special council designation, mister Weiss told
- 15:23Speaker 1: Senator Lindsay Graham of South Carolina, the top Republican on
- 15:26Speaker 1: the House Senate Judiciary Committee. Instead, mister Whiss said he
- 15:30Speaker 1: discussed has had discussions with departmental officials regarding potential appointment
- 15:36Speaker 1: as a special attorney, which would have allowed me to
- 15:39Speaker 1: file charges in a district outside my own without the
- 15:43Speaker 1: partnership of the local US attorney quote unquote. Now again,
- 15:47Speaker 1: somebody's lying here, and you have to decide exactly which
- 15:50Speaker 1: one you think that is lying here. Now, let me
- 15:53Speaker 1: also remind you while we give you that of something else.
- 15:57Speaker 1: An Obama era email has also revealed that Hunter's extensive
- 16:03Speaker 1: ties to nearly now a dozen senior level Biden administration aids.
- 16:10Speaker 1: In other words, when Hunter was selling access, he actually
- 16:14Speaker 1: had the access he claimed he had. Hunter had deep
- 16:17Speaker 1: connections to Biden's inner circle. As whistleblowers are now crying
- 16:23Speaker 1: foul over the federal probe, saying come on, you should
- 16:27Speaker 1: know all of this, I want you to also hear
- 16:30Speaker 1: what they're saying now as well about Hunter's attorney is
- 16:34Speaker 1: accusing whistleblowers of quote unquote leaking. Take a listen to
- 16:38Speaker 1: Jonathan Turley on Fox.
- 16:41Speaker 5: Thank professor, Nice to have you on and good morning
- 16:43Speaker 5: to you. So I just want to remind viewers from
- 16:46Speaker 5: a week ago, weis the prosecutor out of Delaware sent
- 16:51Speaker 5: a letter to Jim Jordan, and he seemed to outline
- 16:55Speaker 5: his defense in four different parts. You have seen that letter.
- 16:59Speaker 5: Do you have quotquestions about the letter or do they
- 17:01Speaker 5: satisfy you? And then I'll ask you specifically about too.
- 17:06Speaker 6: Well, No, there's nothing to be satisfied with, because there's
- 17:10Speaker 6: no answers in the letter. That is what Weiss is
- 17:13Speaker 6: saying is I was given this authority, but doesn't deal
- 17:16Speaker 6: with the specific allegations.
- 17:18Speaker 4: Of these whistleblowers.
- 17:19Speaker 6: We have numerous witnesses and other witnesses were named in
- 17:22Speaker 6: these accounts who were present at a meeting where Weiss
- 17:26Speaker 6: allegedly said that he was not the final decision maker,
- 17:30Speaker 6: that he had tried to become a special counsel was denied,
- 17:34Speaker 6: and they were also told that charges were attempted in
- 17:38Speaker 6: California d C but rebuffed by those US attorneys. That's
- 17:43Speaker 6: in direct and irreconcilable conflict with what has been said
- 17:49Speaker 6: by Attorney General Garland. What Weiss is saying is I
- 17:52Speaker 6: was given this authority, and so he's got an answer
- 17:55Speaker 6: to these discrepancies. But the problem that Weiss has is
- 18:00Speaker 6: but the case itself is just a glaring mountain of contradiction.
- 18:05Speaker 6: I mean, the US the Justice Department seemed to let
- 18:08Speaker 6: the statue limitations run, and some of us wrote columns
- 18:12Speaker 6: before that date and said, why are you doing this?
- 18:15Speaker 6: The statutes about to run. These whistleblowers are saying that
- 18:18Speaker 6: it did appear to be intentional that there was an
- 18:22Speaker 6: agreement that more serious charges could be brought against Hunter,
- 18:26Speaker 6: and those were scuttled.
- 18:27Speaker 5: Okay, so you've got Weiss, you got Merritgardland, and you
- 18:32Speaker 5: got the whistleblower, Shapley. He was on with Bred on
- 18:35Speaker 5: the twenty eighth of June listening here.
- 18:39Speaker 7: We weren't allowed to ask questions about Dad. We weren't
- 18:42Speaker 7: allowed to ask about the big guy. We weren't allowed
- 18:44Speaker 7: to include certain names, and document requests and search warrants.
- 18:50Speaker 7: So you know we were precluded from following that line
- 18:53Speaker 7: of questioning.
- 18:54Speaker 5: Okay, so two government officials on one side, you got
- 18:57Speaker 5: this whistle blow in our now in public, weisstaid, I've
- 19:01Speaker 5: been granted ultimate authority over this matter, including responsibility for
- 19:05Speaker 5: the setting, where and when whether file charges.
- 19:08Speaker 2: And I guess, professor to you, who's lying? And how
- 19:15Speaker 2: do we figure out?
- 19:16Speaker 6: Well, that's a good question, because well, you know, the
- 19:19Speaker 6: whistleblowers referred to an AUSA named Wolf, and she supposedly
- 19:23Speaker 6: told them don't ask about the big guy you and
- 19:27Speaker 6: resisted efforts to look into storage units and is even
- 19:31Speaker 6: accused of tipping off the Biden team.
- 19:33Speaker 4: Now we don't have any confirmation of that.
- 19:35Speaker 6: We haven't heard from this Ausa, but I would find
- 19:39Speaker 6: it strange and Ausa would take it upon herself to
- 19:42Speaker 6: set those types of parameters. They had to come from someone,
- 19:46Speaker 6: and so Congress has every reason to get the answers here.
- 19:49Speaker 6: Wis didn't answer them, and so they need to force
- 19:52Speaker 6: those answers.
- 19:53Speaker 4: Now, he just missed this deadline.
- 19:54Speaker 6: I think Congress is going to give him a little
- 19:56Speaker 6: bit of time, but Congress is not going away these
- 20:00Speaker 6: these questions need to be answered these It cannot be
- 20:03Speaker 6: more serious in terms of what's being alleged here. It's
- 20:05Speaker 6: a deprivation, a total ab abridgment of the rule of law.
- 20:10Speaker 4: If these allegations are.
- 20:11Speaker 5: Trust question, then Hunter Biden's in court at the end
- 20:14Speaker 5: of July, right, I think it's July twenty six, I'm
- 20:17Speaker 5: not sure the date. Do you think Republicans in the
- 20:21Speaker 5: House can bring Shaply for a public hearing and or
- 20:26Speaker 5: force Wiss to appear prior to that date.
- 20:31Speaker 6: Well, the question on the whistleblowers, I think is yes,
- 20:34Speaker 6: they probably can bring the whistleblowers in the Department of
- 20:37Speaker 6: Justice is going to resist. They're going to keep on
- 20:39Speaker 6: saying it's an ongoing investigation, which is highly ironic because
- 20:43Speaker 6: they extended this investigation so long they ran out of time,
- 20:47Speaker 6: so the statue limitations ran on some of these crimes.
- 20:50Speaker 6: And now they're doing it again, saying, well, it's ongoing,
- 20:53Speaker 6: give us some more time. But after that plea comes down,
- 20:56Speaker 6: it's going to get harder and harder to convince a
- 20:58Speaker 6: court because the Congress is investigating them. It's not trying
- 21:02Speaker 6: to relitigate this case. It's investigating the FBI, it's investigating
- 21:06Speaker 6: the irs, it's investigating the Biden administration.
- 21:10Speaker 2: No, it's a bigger deal.
- 21:12Speaker 1: Jonathan Turley, And the point that he's making, and he
- 21:15Speaker 1: made it really I think clear, is that there is
- 21:18Speaker 1: so many people that are covering for the Biden crime family.
- 21:21Speaker 1: They weren't investigating crimes. They were actually slow playing and
- 21:25Speaker 1: making sure the statute of limitations ran out on the
- 21:28Speaker 1: most serious crimes, that is corruption. Folks at the highest
- 21:33Speaker 1: levels of our government, when you're given the chance to investigate,
- 21:40Speaker 1: and instead of investigating, you do the opposite of that.
- 21:42Speaker 2: You play defense.
- 21:45Speaker 1: You do what you can to protect, okay, to protect
- 21:50Speaker 1: all of the corruption around you. That is just unheard of,
- 21:56Speaker 1: and that is what they are now doing. They're saying
- 22:00Speaker 1: all right, we're gonna investigate Joe Biden. No, they're not
- 22:02Speaker 1: all right, guys. I need you to act like you're
- 22:04Speaker 1: investigating Joe Biden and protect him and protect Hunter Biden,
- 22:08Speaker 1: because that protects Joe Biden. And I need the Statute
- 22:11Speaker 1: of limitations to run out on this thing, so I
- 22:13Speaker 1: need you to I need to just slow walk this
- 22:15Speaker 1: for more than five years, because then the Statue of
- 22:19Speaker 1: limitations will run out on the most serious crimes and
- 22:23Speaker 1: then we don't have to worry. That's what they did.
- 22:26Speaker 1: They didn't investigate. They knew what he did, and they
- 22:29Speaker 1: covered it up. They helped him cover it up by
- 22:32Speaker 1: just taking as much time as they could possibly take
- 22:35Speaker 1: to then give you a report.
- 22:37Speaker 2: It is disgusting.
- 22:40Speaker 1: Now, before I get into more of this story, I
- 22:41Speaker 1: want to say thank you and tell you about our
- 22:43Speaker 1: good friends at Patriot Mobile. They are now offering a
- 22:47Speaker 1: performance guarantee. If you're not happy with your coverage, you

- 22:59Speaker 1: are nationwide coverage on the best G four and G

- 23:09Speaker 1: great quality that you're used to, but they actually are

- 23:16Speaker 1: and freedoms. So this year resolved to stop spending your

- 23:39Speaker 1: com slash ferguson. That's Patriot Mobile dot com slash ferguson.

- 23:46Speaker 1: free activation with the offer code ferguson. That's eight seven
- 23:50Speaker 1: eight Patriot or Patriotmobile dot com slash ferguson. Now, this
- 23:56Speaker 1: Hunter Biden scandal is not the only scandal the White
- 23:59Speaker 1: House is now having to deal with.
- 24:01Speaker 2: There's a new one.
- 24:02Speaker 1: Joe Biden had a team that was supposed to deal
- 24:06Speaker 1: with Iran. It was an envoy. That envoy has now
- 24:10Speaker 1: been officially placed under FBI investigation. Not only are they
- 24:17Speaker 1: under investigation, but Joe Biden's Iran envoy has now been
- 24:21Speaker 1: placed on leave amid security clearance review. Take a listen
- 24:27Speaker 1: to this from Fox So when.
- 24:29Speaker 5: A President Biden's top foreign policy leaders now under FBI
- 24:34Speaker 5: investigation over handling of classified information.
- 24:37Speaker 4: Jillian Turner's got the detail. She's in Washington. What's up
- 24:40Speaker 4: with this, Jillian?
- 24:42Speaker 2: Well Bill.
- 24:42Speaker 8: It's been over ten days since the Biden administration provided
- 24:45Speaker 8: an update on the status of Malle the Special Envoy
- 24:48Speaker 8: for Iran. He has been mia on the job now
- 24:50Speaker 8: for weeks and reportedly being investigated by the FBI for
- 24:53Speaker 8: his handling a classified information. President's closest allies asked this
- 24:57Speaker 8: weekend are staying tight lipped. Listen.
- 25:00Speaker 4: Look.
- 25:00Speaker 9: I can't share anything about the FBI and what they
- 25:03Speaker 9: are or are not doing with regards to the Special Envoy,
- 25:07Speaker 9: but there is a lot of concern and interest in Congress,
- 25:09Speaker 9: on that committee and others about the status of any
- 25:12Speaker 9: potential negotiation with Iran.
- 25:15Speaker 8: Back on June thirtieth, the White House, asked by reporters, deferred, Listen.
- 25:20Speaker 7: Man, this is a personnel issue that's better addressed by
- 25:25Speaker 7: our State Department collegues.
- 25:28Speaker 8: The day before that, the State Department said this quote.
- 25:30Speaker 8: Rob Malle is on leave and Abram Paley is serving
- 25:33Speaker 8: as acting Special Envoy for Iran. Recently, Malli held covert
- 25:37Speaker 8: meetings with UN officials to talk about the potential for
- 25:40Speaker 8: a prisoner exchange. He was also the face of the
- 25:42Speaker 8: Biden administration in backroom discussions over Iran's nuclear program. Malle's
- 25:48Speaker 8: lifelong friendship with Secretary of State Blincoln, whom he has
- 25:51Speaker 8: known since high school, adds an extra layer of sensitivity
- 25:55Speaker 8: to these proceedings. Mally himself was last heard from June
- 25:59Speaker 8: twenty ninth, said I've been informed that my security clearance
- 26:01Speaker 8: is under review. I have not been provided any further information,
- 26:05Speaker 8: but I expect the investigation to be resolved favorably and soon.
- 26:09Speaker 8: In the meantime, I'm on leave well. As of right now,
- 26:13Speaker 8: we have lines out to the White House Stage Department,
- 26:15Speaker 8: to DoD and the FBI. No word get on Mallie's status,
- 26:20Speaker 8: bill or these reports that he is now facing potentially
- 26:23Speaker 8: a criminal investigation.
- 26:26Speaker 1: It's like everything that the Biden administration can do to
- 26:30Speaker 1: hurt America, they do it, or to get kickbacks, they
- 26:34Speaker 1: do it. The CBS News division has actually reported on
- 26:39Speaker 1: this story because apparently the evidence is just so damning.
- 26:43Speaker 1: FBI quote looking into Biden Iran envoy Rob Mallee over
- 26:48Speaker 1: handling of classified material.
- 26:51Speaker 2: Multiple sources are now.
- 26:52Speaker 1: Confirming to CBS News the FBI is now looking to
- 26:57Speaker 1: President Biden's envoy bm Mallee.
- 27:00Speaker 2: Three sources familiar with the matter have confirmed.
- 27:03Speaker 1: One source familiar with the matter told CBS News that
- 27:06Speaker 1: the FBI was looking at Mallie's handling of classified material.
- 27:09Speaker 1: Is unclear if the bureau's examination encompasses other issues.
- 27:14Speaker 2: Quote.
- 27:15Speaker 1: There was no indication from this source that the FBI
- 27:19Speaker 1: considers it a criminal matter at this point quote unquote.
- 27:23Speaker 1: Congressional intelligence committees are routinely briefed on this type of issue.
- 27:28Speaker 1: The lawmakers contacted by CBS News decline to comment, citing
- 27:34Speaker 1: the sensitivity of the matter. As Presidential Envoy four Ran,
- 27:39Speaker 1: Malli was based at the State Department, and his portfolio
- 27:42Speaker 1: included both the attempts to resurrect a nuclear agreement with
- 27:46Speaker 1: Iran as well as negotiate over at least three American
- 27:50Speaker 1: citizens who remain wrongfully detained in Tehran. Mallie coordinated closely
- 27:56Speaker 1: with both Secretary of State Anthony Blincoln, who you heard
- 27:58Speaker 1: in that reports is good for and the White House
- 28:01Speaker 1: Access Security Council, whose Middle East division is also led
- 28:04Speaker 1: by Brett McGirk, frustrated by the lack of information sharing
- 28:09Speaker 1: with the congressional committees overseeing the State Department. House Foreign
- 28:14Speaker 1: Affairs Committee Chairman Mike McCall, a Republican of Texas Senate
- 28:17Speaker 1: letter setting a July eleventh deadline for the Department to
- 28:22Speaker 1: provide an update. His letter claimed Congress has been misled
- 28:28Speaker 1: about the reason for Mally's absence, which has been attributed
- 28:32Speaker 1: to a family health matter quote unquote early on, we
- 28:36Speaker 1: now know that's a lie.
- 28:38Speaker 2: Quote.
- 28:38Speaker 1: We take our oversight obligations extremely seriously. The State Department
- 28:42Speaker 1: spokesman Matt Miller said today. We obviously got the letter
- 28:45Speaker 1: from the chairman. We've been reviewing it, and we will
- 28:48Speaker 1: be engaging with his office on the matter. Non faced
- 28:51Speaker 1: the Nation on Sunday. Foreign Relations Committee member Senator Chris Coons,
- 28:56Speaker 1: a Democrat from Delaware. Chris Coons is the same guy
- 29:00Speaker 1: that had to put together, by the way, David Weiss
- 29:03Speaker 1: and approved David Weis to be that prosecutor from Delaware,
- 29:07Speaker 1: the attorney from Delaware. Don't forget that said he had
- 29:11Speaker 1: not been briefed on Mali's security situation or on any
- 29:15Speaker 1: involvement by the FBI. He too called for Congress to
- 29:19Speaker 1: be briefed on many Iran related matters, including the status
- 29:23Speaker 1: of any potential negotiations with Iran, saying this the Iranians
- 29:27Speaker 1: are providing the Russians critical drones ammunitions for their aggression
- 29:32Speaker 1: in Ukraine. Kun said on Sunday, I think that puts
- 29:35Speaker 1: even greater tension on any possible conversations between the US
- 29:39Speaker 1: and our allies and Iran, and I do think we
- 29:43Speaker 1: need a briefing to update the members of Congress now.
- 29:46Speaker 1: In a statement emailed to CBS News on June the
- 29:48Speaker 1: twenty ninth, Mali said that he was on leave after
- 29:52Speaker 1: having been informed that his security clearance is under review.
- 29:56Speaker 1: He said then that he had not been provide any
- 29:59Speaker 1: further information about what he referred to as the investigation,
- 30:03Speaker 1: but said he expects to be resolved favorably in his
- 30:06Speaker 1: way very soon. In Malli's absence, his deputy is taking
- 30:12Speaker 1: a responsibility to the State Department is not commenting on
- 30:15Speaker 1: the matter at all. Miller only reiterated that Rob Malley
- 30:19Speaker 1: is on leave and Abram Poly is leading the department's
- 30:22Speaker 1: work in this area, adding this, in addition to not
- 30:26Speaker 1: commenting on any reports of any investigation, I'm really limited
- 30:30Speaker 1: about what more I can say about what is a
- 30:33Speaker 1: personal matter due to privacy consideration. It's amazing how quick
- 30:36Speaker 1: privacy matters when you're under investigation, right, It's pretty ridiculous.
- 30:41Speaker 1: The DOJ and the FBI also declined to comment.
- 30:45Speaker 6: Now.
- 30:45Speaker 1: The FBI's involvement was first reported Friday by those who
- 30:50Speaker 1: reference the matter as quote an investigation. So not only
- 30:56Speaker 1: do you have corruption at the highest levels of the
- 30:58Speaker 1: Biden crime family, but now a parent you have an
- 31:00Speaker 1: investigation into classified materials to the guy that's supposed to
- 31:04Speaker 1: be leading America's policy with Iran. Tehran Times is also
- 31:10Speaker 1: saying this about an hour ago quote exclusive inside the
- 31:14Speaker 1: Downfall of Rob Mallei. On June thirtieth, Matthew Miller, the
- 31:19Speaker 1: spokesman for the State Department, somewhat reduced the ambiguity and
- 31:23Speaker 1: announced via email to Reuters that Malli had taken a
- 31:27Speaker 1: leave of absence and those duties would be temporarily assumed
- 31:29Speaker 1: by his deputy. According to the US officials, The Teurran
- 31:33Speaker 1: Time says the Diplomatic Security Department had suspended security clearance.
- 31:39Speaker 1: What has been disclosed so far has been ambiguous and incomplete.
- 31:44Speaker 1: US sources say that the sixty year old diplomat has
- 31:48Speaker 1: not complied with the law in protecting information. However, according
- 31:52Speaker 1: to the published information, it's still unclear whether this was
- 31:56Speaker 1: intentional or unintentional negligence. Is not the first diplomat to
- 32:01Speaker 1: have a security clearin and suspended, and this has happened before.
- 32:05Speaker 1: The collection of opinions and news published about his removal
- 32:08Speaker 1: indicates extensive and coordinated subterfuge at the highest levels of
- 32:13Speaker 1: the US government. On May the sixteenth, Winnie Sherman, the
- 32:17Speaker 1: US Department Secretary of State, attended a confidential meeting with
- 32:20Speaker 1: senators about negotiations with Iran. We are told the US
- 32:24Speaker 1: Assistant Secretary of Defense for Policy, the deputy Director of
- 32:27Speaker 1: the National Intelligence Agency, and the Deputy Assistant Secretary of
- 32:31Speaker 1: the Treasury for Terrorism and Financial Intelligence, as well as
- 32:35Speaker 1: the Director of Strategic and Political Affairs for the Joint
- 32:38Speaker 1: Chiefs of Staff accompanied Sherman at this confidential meeting. What
- 32:43Speaker 1: was noteworthy was the absence of Robert Malley, who was
- 32:47Speaker 1: the main person in charge of the Iran dossier in
- 32:51Speaker 1: the Biden administration. Some media outlets reported that he'd been
- 32:55Speaker 1: taking a two day leave, while others said that he'd
- 32:58Speaker 1: taken a long leave. His absence that such an unusual
- 33:01Speaker 1: meeting was notable, but the US government insisted on keeping
- 33:03Speaker 1: the real reason for his absence confidential, to the extent
- 33:07Speaker 1: that even the Senators were not informed of the real reason.
- 33:12Speaker 1: The issue is of such importance that to date, despite
- 33:16Speaker 1: the general announcement of the matter, the exact DATEA. Malley's
- 33:19Speaker 1: suspension has not been announced. So if you don't think
- 33:23Speaker 1: there's covering up here, then you're also not paying attention.
- 33:28Speaker 1: This is another scandal and it deals with national security implications,
- 33:32Speaker 1: and what do you bet the Biden administration gets away
- 33:35Speaker 1: with this one as well. Don't forget to share a
- 33:37Speaker 1: podcast on all social media venues. Please make sure you
- 33:41Speaker 1: hit that like and follow button wherever you are listening
- 33:45Speaker 1: to the show, and you won't miss a single episode.
