- 1:45Speaker 1: robb got to turn out the turn the water the
- 1:49Speaker 1: water go. Come come on, h huh, I show well,
- 2:06Speaker 1: good morning everybody. You're listening to the voice, Come on
- 2:09Speaker 1: dig me now, one and only Steve Harvey Man got
- 2:12Speaker 1: a radio show. Wow man, how good has God been
- 2:16Speaker 1: to me? You know? Today? Let me get right to
- 2:18Speaker 1: it because I'm I'm kind of feeling this today, and
- 2:21Speaker 1: I'm pretty sure that's just quite a few of you
- 2:24Speaker 1: who go through the same things today. Today was just
- 2:29Speaker 1: a little tough morning for me because I didn't want
- 2:32Speaker 1: to leave home yesterday. You know, I wanted to stay
- 2:35Speaker 1: home a little. I just gotten home, you know, I
- 2:37Speaker 1: gotta go again. And sometimes, you know, just the weight
- 2:41Speaker 1: of all that you have to do just gets on
- 2:44Speaker 1: you sometimes and sometimes you don't feel like doing it today. Huh.
- 2:50Speaker 1: You know, I'm just talking to those who feel this
- 2:53Speaker 1: way every now and then, and I'm assuming that would
- 2:56Speaker 1: be everybody, because I don't know nobody who can just
- 2:59Speaker 1: ply through this thing without having those days. Well, what
- 3:02Speaker 1: do you do when it gets hard to stay up?
- 3:07Speaker 1: What do you do when it gets hard to be positive?
- 3:11Speaker 1: What do you do when it seems like things aren't
- 3:14Speaker 1: happening for you fast enough or in the time frame
- 3:18Speaker 1: that you thought it was going. What do you do?
- 3:21Speaker 1: And the reason that I guess I chose to speak
- 3:24Speaker 1: about this this morning is because I'm having one of
- 3:26Speaker 1: those days. Because I had one of those days yesterday.
- 3:30Speaker 1: It's just a tough day. I really can't explain. It's
- 3:32Speaker 1: nothing really in particular bad happened. It's just I think
- 3:39Speaker 1: the weight of all that's going on started to feel
- 3:45Speaker 1: heavy to me. And so what do you do when
- 3:51Speaker 1: you have days like that? When it's hard to be positive,
- 3:53Speaker 1: when it's hard to stay up? Okay, here's what I
- 3:56Speaker 1: had to start doing this morning. Now. I haven't completed it,
- 4:00Speaker 1: can't I just be real with you, I haven't completed it,
- 4:04Speaker 1: but I am processing it out because I know what
- 4:08Speaker 1: to do. You know, been there, done that, I didn't
- 4:10Speaker 1: have that pain before. I know what to do. You know,
- 4:12Speaker 1: if I sprain my finger, I know what to do now.
- 4:15Speaker 1: You know the first sprain I had, O Lord, I
- 4:17Speaker 1: thought it was broke. I thought I got me handac half.
- 4:20Speaker 1: But now if I spray my finger, I know what
- 4:21Speaker 1: to do. So since I've been in this position, in
- 4:24Speaker 1: this hole so many times before and God has always
- 4:27Speaker 1: gotten me through it, I decided I've got to start
- 4:30Speaker 1: the process today. Want to hear all some things now,
- 4:35Speaker 1: I'm gonna get to the big one last. And one
- 4:38Speaker 1: of the things I do is I remember the plan,
- 4:43Speaker 1: sit down, and I consciously think about the goals I've set.
- 4:48Speaker 1: I go over see. I've got mine down on an
- 4:50Speaker 1: iPad so I can pull them out anywhere I am
- 4:54Speaker 1: and pull them up. And I've got two lists that
- 4:56Speaker 1: I've made. I've got a list of things that I
- 4:59Speaker 1: know I cannot acomplished if I just keep working hard,
- 5:02Speaker 1: and if some couple of things just fall into place
- 5:06Speaker 1: that I can see. Then I got a list of
- 5:08Speaker 1: things that I'm planning on accomplishing. And then I have
- 5:12Speaker 1: a second list. And the heading of this list is
- 5:15Speaker 1: called only God can help me Now. And on this list.
- 5:20Speaker 1: It's things that I'm aspiring for or things that I'm
- 5:23Speaker 1: hoping to that in order for them to happen, I
- 5:27Speaker 1: absolutely have to have God's help. That's my favorite list.
- 5:34Speaker 1: It's the list that I have of the things that
- 5:37Speaker 1: I don't see no way it can happen. I'm just
- 5:41Speaker 1: operating on faith and the hope that God hear me,
- 5:45Speaker 1: and so sometimes, man, when you gotta when I have
- 5:49Speaker 1: this list of who only God can help me, now
- 5:53Speaker 1: that list is stuff that I cannot see. I'm just
- 5:57Speaker 1: operating on faith that God is so much bigger than me,
- 6:01Speaker 1: that he's so much more capable than I am, that
- 6:04Speaker 1: I can actually acquire some things in my life, as
- 6:07Speaker 1: He's proven to me time and time again up to
- 6:09Speaker 1: this point, that He's willing to do for me. If
- 6:12Speaker 1: I'm willing to just give him some of my life.
- 6:15Speaker 1: That's only why I can't explain my existence today. You know,
- 6:19Speaker 1: I began the conversation with my wife, how do I
- 6:23Speaker 1: write a book that becomes so wildly successful? That would
- 6:27Speaker 1: be God. That's only God, Because if you can plan
- 6:31Speaker 1: to sit down and write a wildly successful book, I
- 6:34Speaker 1: would have Benden sat down and did it and so
- 6:36Speaker 1: would you. So that would be God. How it got
- 6:40Speaker 1: purchased to become a movie when that was not my
- 6:43Speaker 1: intent when I wrote the book at all. Again, that
- 6:47Speaker 1: would be God. Right, there has to be, because if
- 6:51Speaker 1: I can't explain it and it is by no doing
- 6:54Speaker 1: of my own, then who did it? So when I
- 6:57Speaker 1: get down in days like this, I remember the goal.
- 7:00Speaker 1: I remember the plan. I remember the journey. I think
- 7:04Speaker 1: about of all the things God has bought me to
- 7:06Speaker 1: how did I even get to this point? Yeah? I
- 7:08Speaker 1: might be having a little bummer of a day. Yeah,
- 7:11Speaker 1: I was a little down yesterday. Yeah, my bio rhythms
- 7:14Speaker 1: is off, whatever they want to call it. Yeah, I'm
- 7:16Speaker 1: just having one of those days. I feel a little
- 7:18Speaker 1: bit heavy. I need a vacation real bad. I need
- 7:21Speaker 1: some time off to just go and regenerate. But right now, man,
- 7:25Speaker 1: I ain't got that. So guess what I do. I
- 7:27Speaker 1: gotta start remembering the plan. I gotta start remembering the goals.
- 7:31Speaker 1: I gotta start thinking about all the things that God
- 7:34Speaker 1: has done for me and how He has bought me
- 7:36Speaker 1: this far and the blessings that I have instead of
- 7:39Speaker 1: what I don't have. And that's what I'm in the
- 7:41Speaker 1: process of doing this morning, and on the commercial breaks,
- 7:44Speaker 1: I'm gonna pull out my iPad and I'm gonna go
- 7:46Speaker 1: over my two lists, and I'm gonna read my little
- 7:48Speaker 1: list of what I think I can accomplish, and I'm
- 7:51Speaker 1: gonna really read that only God can help Me now list,
- 7:54Speaker 1: because that's the list that's big. That's the part where
- 7:56Speaker 1: I've been telling y'all, I said, quit telling God how
- 8:00Speaker 1: big your problems are, and start telling your problems how
- 8:03Speaker 1: big your God is. See. And that's why I got
- 8:06Speaker 1: to sit down to do this morning. And then sometimes, man,
- 8:09Speaker 1: you got to stay still. That's the other part. You
- 8:13Speaker 1: got to stay still. You gotta quit moving for a second,
- 8:18Speaker 1: because sometimes it feel like you're running on a treadmill
- 8:22Speaker 1: and you really ain't you going somewhere, but it feel
- 8:24Speaker 1: like you're running on a treadmill. Well, when you get
- 8:27Speaker 1: that feeling, sometimes you got to stay still. And then
- 8:31Speaker 1: when you stay still, sometimes you gotta fight to stay positive.
- 8:35Speaker 1: Sometimes you gotta fight not to let the devil win.
- 8:37Speaker 1: You're in a fight, mam. I told you this. Now
- 8:39Speaker 1: you're in a fight now, So trying to get you
- 8:41Speaker 1: to get on that positive train so he can get
- 8:44Speaker 1: you off the faith train. So God's delivery package that's
- 8:47Speaker 1: coming to you built on your faith that you can.
- 8:49Speaker 1: He can shake your faith and get you to thinking
- 8:51Speaker 1: negative and then he wins. See. So when you start
- 8:54Speaker 1: feeling negative, just know that that's the other force trying
- 8:57Speaker 1: to throw your off track. And when you get through
- 8:59Speaker 1: it all that here is the key to big one.
- 9:01Speaker 1: You want me to tell it to you. You gots
- 9:03Speaker 1: to pray, Man, You got to pray. You gotta take
- 9:06Speaker 1: it to God. You gotta say, hey, God, look I'm
- 9:08Speaker 1: having one of these days. I need your help. I
- 9:11Speaker 1: got business to take care of. You got blessings in
- 9:13Speaker 1: front of me. You got stuff you to ship to me.
- 9:16Speaker 1: You got blessings and packages that's on the way. I
- 9:18Speaker 1: need to be sitting on Faith streets so I can
- 9:20Speaker 1: receive the delivery when you get there. What I don't
- 9:23Speaker 1: want to do is be it on be on doubted
- 9:25Speaker 1: Way or lack of Understanding Parkway, or Pity Parkway or
- 9:31Speaker 1: some street like that, and the package keep going by.
- 9:35Speaker 1: I need to be standing and sitting on Faith Street
- 9:38Speaker 1: so when you drop that package down to me, I
- 9:40Speaker 1: can go on and get it. You feel me. You
- 9:43Speaker 1: gots to pray. You got to stay still. You gotta
- 9:46Speaker 1: fight to stay positive. You gotta remember the plan. You
- 9:49Speaker 1: gotta go over the goals. Come on, man, God and
- 9:51Speaker 1: brought you too far, Come on, pick yourself up today.
- 9:54Speaker 1: I'm talking to Steve Harvey this morning. Hope y'all didn't
- 9:57Speaker 1: mind you're listening show. Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls,

- 10:23Speaker 1: today who has ever had the aspiration of becoming a millionaire.
- 10:33Speaker 1: All if you've ever had the aspiration of holding a
- 10:38Speaker 1: full time job, these are the two groups that I'm
- 10:42Speaker 1: talking to. Anyone who has had the aspiration of holding
- 10:46Speaker 1: a full time job and anybody who has had the
- 10:49Speaker 1: aspiration of becoming a millionaire. This show is dedicated to
- 10:55Speaker 1: the two coldish groups on planet Earth. You dig, Welcome
- 11:00Speaker 1: to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. What group you in?
- 11:03Speaker 1: Shuret the strawberr? I'm in both, Steve, thank you very much,
- 11:07Speaker 1: Colin for rel Good morning both did Oh let's get it, Junior,
- 11:13Speaker 1: I got five jobs. Tell me I ain't trying neph
- 11:17Speaker 1: you time me every day. I'm hustling. I'm trying to
- 11:20Speaker 1: be in there. Guests up well, for you. Oh you ain't.
- 11:31Speaker 1: I ain't in this sect. Yeah, yeah, I got. I
- 11:35Speaker 1: got somewhere else I'm heading. Ain't nobody to ask me that.
- 11:38Speaker 1: So we just throwing it out, y'all. That's my two
- 11:41Speaker 1: favorite groups of people. Anybody that wants to work and
- 11:44Speaker 1: anybody want to be rich. I live both of them people,
- 11:49Speaker 1: because you ain't got to be rich to be my friend.
- 11:51Speaker 1: Because I gotta tell you something. None of my friends
- 11:55Speaker 1: are rich. Do you know that? Really? Man? None of them.
- 12:00Speaker 1: Well I got one friends really, I mean my friend friends.
- 12:05Speaker 1: I mean my real friends. Oh, real friends. Ninety nine
- 12:12Speaker 1: point nine percent of them are not rich people. But
- 12:18Speaker 1: but what about running in those circles, you know them
- 12:24Speaker 1: like minded people and birds of a feather flock together
- 12:27Speaker 1: and all that. Yeah, that's all. They just business acquaintances
- 12:30Speaker 1: and associates. We make some money together, we do some
- 12:33Speaker 1: deals together, we go to dinner together. You know, we
- 12:36Speaker 1: pull for each other. But I don't. We haven't been
- 12:40Speaker 1: through enough to call them friends, you know what I mean?
- 12:43Speaker 1: Not really? Yeah? Well, you know what, remember back in
- 12:46Speaker 1: the day when Oprah and Gail that their friendship was,
- 12:50Speaker 1: you know, so popular and everything. It still is now,
- 12:52Speaker 1: But back in the day, Gail was Oprah's friends. So
- 12:55Speaker 1: Oprah gave her a million dollars so she could be
- 12:57Speaker 1: a millionaire. Two remember that, I don't feel that. Wait,
- 13:04Speaker 1: nothing like that. No, well, junior, Junior, me and you
- 13:09Speaker 1: we co workers, and I'm more like a mentor. You
- 13:11Speaker 1: are you can't buy money from me and call me Steve.
- 13:19Speaker 1: We ain't here, no never will be okay, But what
- 13:26Speaker 1: have we learned? Right here? We ain't rich, and here
- 13:30Speaker 1: he's not opening, we're not gay. Excuse me, excuse me.
- 13:35Speaker 1: Thomas Miles is rich. I'm nephew Tommy. I'm nephew Tommy. Wow,
- 13:43Speaker 1: I'm I don't never know what he is? All right? Uh,
- 13:48Speaker 1: Steve coming up at thirty two after the hour, you
- 13:50Speaker 1: mentioned the nephew. Well, he's been, you know, wanting to
- 13:54Speaker 1: ask you something. So we're gonna get to ask Steve
- 13:56Speaker 1: right after this. You're listening morning show, all right, So Steve,
- 14:18Speaker 1: you know, earlier this week we were talking talking about
- 14:21Speaker 1: parenting and our kids and everything, and we didn't get
- 14:23Speaker 1: around to the nephew. He's been wanting to ask you
- 14:25Speaker 1: this question about parenting all week. Nephew. You have the floor,
- 14:30Speaker 1: all right, So uncle. My little girl Sitney. She turned fifteen.
- 14:35Speaker 1: We throw a big, you know, big dinner and she
- 14:38Speaker 1: got a lot of kids there. I mean a lot
- 14:40Speaker 1: of teenagers from Jack and jail. And you know it's fine.
- 14:44Speaker 1: We got about twenty thirty kids at the table and
- 14:47Speaker 1: then at our table. It's more than adults. But I'm
- 14:50Speaker 1: starting to see these little boys hugging my daughter and
- 14:53Speaker 1: taking pictures with it. I ain't ever seen this before.
- 14:56Speaker 1: You're gonna had to hit one on them in the face.
- 14:59Speaker 1: I don't hold listen to me, You're gonna no, just
- 15:02Speaker 1: ain't got nothing to do with y'all ladies. Stadda. You
- 15:04Speaker 1: got to hit one of them little punk as boys
- 15:06Speaker 1: in their face in front of the other boys. But
- 15:09Speaker 1: don't let nobody see it. But the boys all right?
- 15:13Speaker 1: Now go ahead, Now let's do the radio, ass go ahead.
- 15:18Speaker 1: What how do I handle this as a father? And
- 15:22Speaker 1: I don't want to be too hard on it, but
- 15:25Speaker 1: I don't want to be too soft on it at
- 15:27Speaker 1: the same time, Hey, man, respect my house. I know
- 15:31Speaker 1: my daughter's beautiful. I know you probably attract the tool,
- 15:35Speaker 1: but this my house. I won't you to be respectful
- 15:38Speaker 1: my house now. In essence, while they're living in your house,
- 15:43Speaker 1: you have some say so, so you can pull the
- 15:46Speaker 1: boy to the side and say, you know what, man,
- 15:48Speaker 1: let me explain something to you. I tell you what
- 15:51Speaker 1: this hoighs can. I'll tell you like I did one
- 15:54Speaker 1: of mine. I said, this is what happened. I know
- 16:03Speaker 1: you right now, So this this ain't that method. I'm
- 16:13Speaker 1: really trying to I'm gonna trying to be this new person.
- 16:17Speaker 1: God made me on this boat this year, and but
- 16:20Speaker 1: the old me keeps creeping back around. Dog he talked
- 16:25Speaker 1: all the time. I will see somewhere and shut the
- 16:27Speaker 1: hell up. You know, Tommy, Man, it's hard because in
- 16:37Speaker 1: your house you can set rules and parameters, right, and
- 16:41Speaker 1: so just pull the young dude over to the side
- 16:44Speaker 1: and just say, listen, man, I got rules in my house,
- 16:47Speaker 1: and you have to be respectful of my house. Don't
- 16:50Speaker 1: don't don't come in my house handling my daughter. That's
- 16:55Speaker 1: you can say that because it's your house and they ain't. Man,
- 16:58Speaker 1: don't don't be over the hug. You know nobody when
- 17:00Speaker 1: you and miss my house house. And that's a good
- 17:02Speaker 1: message to have out because after that dog, it's out
- 17:06Speaker 1: your hands. Now. What they do outside the house. It's
- 17:09Speaker 1: not because you're not letting them do it in the house.
- 17:10Speaker 1: That's what people have a misconception of. They think that
- 17:13Speaker 1: in parenting, if you don't allow them to do it
- 17:16Speaker 1: in the house, when they get out the house, if
- 17:18Speaker 1: you don't let them do it in the house, when
- 17:20Speaker 1: they get out the house, they're gonna do it. No,
- 17:21Speaker 1: they're gonna do it any damn way. Right. You know,
- 17:24Speaker 1: you got people talking about I let my kids drink
- 17:26Speaker 1: and smoke weed in the house. That way. They ain't
- 17:28Speaker 1: out in the streets drinking and smoking. Yes they are.
- 17:31Speaker 1: If they're drinking a smoking weed in your house, they're
- 17:34Speaker 1: drinking a smoking weed out in the street. You've been
- 17:36Speaker 1: a fool to allow it to happen in your house.
- 17:38Speaker 1: You gotta have some type of rules, man, to give
- 17:42Speaker 1: them pause for thought when they go out the house.
- 17:45Speaker 1: Just Paul's for thought. You're not gonna stop. So. And
- 17:51Speaker 1: your daughter is beautiful, and she's smart, and she's very smart.
- 17:56Speaker 1: She's very smart, so you have to trust her. And
- 17:59Speaker 1: I agree with Steve, you have to. You know, I
- 18:02Speaker 1: think people I want to believe that I do. Yeah,
- 18:08Speaker 1: So glad she got a lemonade sense. Shut up boy,
- 18:13Speaker 1: she got a mama, and we hope they all make
- 18:17Speaker 1: smart I know, yeah, we all have. What else anybody
- 18:30Speaker 1: else got to ask Steve question? Uh? Let's see. Okay,
- 18:35Speaker 1: so you you said I want to get back to
- 18:37Speaker 1: you said you don't have any I just found it,
- 18:40Speaker 1: ah that you said earlier you don't have any friends
- 18:42Speaker 1: that are millionaires. Why is that, Steve? Because it seems
- 18:45Speaker 1: like to me, because you're one, you would hang around
- 18:48Speaker 1: people that are like you. Well, you hang around people,
- 18:51Speaker 1: but that doesn't mean you form friendships. You know what
- 18:54Speaker 1: I mean? Friendship? To me, it's delicate, it's it's it's
- 18:59Speaker 1: a process to become my friend. You know. Yeah, I
- 19:04Speaker 1: got to have been down in the ditch and you
- 19:07Speaker 1: climb down in there with me. Na, now we're friend
- 19:12Speaker 1: see or you know? Man or? I think that if
- 19:15Speaker 1: I get in the situation I feel in my heart
- 19:18Speaker 1: of hearts, I could call you without you judging me.
- 19:22Speaker 1: You would just help me. Then we'll talk about how
- 19:24Speaker 1: to prevent mistake from happening again. Now I should say this,
- 19:28Speaker 1: though I have a couple of brothers. I have a
- 19:33Speaker 1: couple of brothers that I'm really really close to that
- 19:36Speaker 1: I have been in the trenches with and they do have,
- 19:40Speaker 1: you know, way more money than I got. You don't
- 19:44Speaker 1: know them. They not famous, They business people. They live
- 19:48Speaker 1: out the country, so I would have to put them
- 19:52Speaker 1: to in the in the group now, said the entertainer
- 19:56Speaker 1: is my friend. He is my friend. That dude right there,
- 20:01Speaker 1: he go to blows from me. You know. Now, I
- 20:05Speaker 1: have great relationships with some famous people. I think me
- 20:08Speaker 1: and Kevin Hard have a special relationship. Oh yeah, it's
- 20:12Speaker 1: it's it's it's like a mentoring type. Even with his
- 20:17Speaker 1: star power being much bigger than mine and his earning
- 20:22Speaker 1: potential much bigger than mine, I still are and I'm
- 20:29Speaker 1: held up in his eyes as a mentor to him.
- 20:31Speaker 1: And I really appreciate his humbleness and in saying that
- 20:36Speaker 1: to me and and talking to me when things, you know,
- 20:40Speaker 1: come up that are questionable and you know, I'm gonna
- 20:43Speaker 1: give him a real answer. Yeah. And speaking of Kevin,
- 20:46Speaker 1: prayer is still going out for him. Um. Yeah, he's
- 20:49Speaker 1: out of the hospital and everything and just in rehab therapy. Yeah.
- 20:53Speaker 1: They Kevin fine physical kids, Yes, yep, he is all right.
- 21:01Speaker 1: One of the things that helped was he was in

- 23:24Speaker 1: I just wanted to talk to you, Like I say, um,
- 23:26Speaker 1: you know, I got some things on that that's been
- 23:28Speaker 1: bothered me for a minute, and I, you know, I
- 23:30Speaker 1: just I just kind of wanted to reach out to you,
- 23:33Speaker 1: and you know, just kind of have like a little
- 23:35Speaker 1: a little hard to hard talk with you. Man. So
- 23:36Speaker 1: maybe you know, uh, you know, we can get things
- 23:39Speaker 1: in a in a in a better position. But I
- 23:41Speaker 1: just wanted I just wanted me and you to have
- 23:43Speaker 1: a conversation. Wait, man, how did you get Veronica give
- 23:47Speaker 1: you my number? Or how did you get my number?
- 23:49Speaker 1: That's what I'm trying to like, what's going on? I
- 23:52Speaker 1: mean I had I had, I've had your number. I
- 23:54Speaker 1: just I just I just had never reached out to
- 23:56Speaker 1: you before. But like I say, though, man, this this,
- 23:58Speaker 1: this has been bothered me for a minute and I
- 24:00Speaker 1: wanted to get it off my chest so you and
- 24:02Speaker 1: I can try to, I guess fix this whole issue.
- 24:05Speaker 1: But I just want us to see if we can
- 24:06Speaker 1: fix it. You know, well'll fix the issue. What's the issue?
- 24:10Speaker 1: I don't understand. I'm not following you. I don't understand
- 24:13Speaker 1: what like what is the issue? So but now you know,
- 24:18Speaker 1: like I said, I went on to talk to me,
- 24:22Speaker 1: what's going on? Okay, your wife, man is cheating on
- 24:27Speaker 1: both of us, and we gotta figure out how we
- 24:30Speaker 1: gotta do something about this. Man? All right? I mean,
- 24:33Speaker 1: did you say she's eating on the both of us?
- 24:35Speaker 1: What is cheating? She is cheating on the both of us? Browne.

- 24:44Speaker 1: you Veronica. Listen to me, Terce, Veronica is cheating on
- 24:50Speaker 1: both of us. You say, Nica cheating on me and me,
- 24:54Speaker 1: you know, and we gotta, we gotta figure out what
- 24:57Speaker 1: we're gonna do. Man, But as a husband, I gotta
- 24:58Speaker 1: you gotta. I'm gonna need you to step up and
- 25:00Speaker 1: get this thing in order. What you're talking about. Did
- 25:03Speaker 1: you say Veronica is cheating on I mean with you? No, No,
- 25:07Speaker 1: she cheating on both of us with somebody else. I know.
- 25:11Speaker 1: I've been noticing her going out with this, you know,
- 25:14Speaker 1: going to lunch with this other cat. So I'm like,
- 25:17Speaker 1: I got pissed off about it. So I said, you
- 25:20Speaker 1: know what, I can't take you no more. I'm calling Terence.
- 25:23Speaker 1: You're saying to me that my wife has been cheating
- 25:26Speaker 1: around a job with somebody else. She cheating on both
- 25:30Speaker 1: of us. Dude, I don't get what you mean if
- 25:33Speaker 1: my wife has cheating on what I mean you're calling
- 25:35Speaker 1: me to tell me that she's cheating on me. I
- 25:37Speaker 1: appreciate that, but I don't get what you're saying. You know,
- 25:40Speaker 1: both of us saying. I don't get that part. I
- 25:42Speaker 1: don't understand what you mean. You mean, Veronica have been
- 25:46Speaker 1: you know, kind of cool. You know, last eight months
- 25:49Speaker 1: to a year, we've been you know, pretty tight here
- 25:51Speaker 1: at the job. You know what I'm saying. So listen
- 25:53Speaker 1: what you mean y'all been cool? That's what I don't understand. Like,
- 25:57Speaker 1: what do you mean y'all being cool? Because that's my wife.
- 26:00Speaker 1: Tell me what you're talking about. Okay. All I'm saying
- 26:03Speaker 1: is me and me and me and her been real cool.
- 26:05Speaker 1: We've been real tight. You know. Sometimes we take lunch
- 26:08Speaker 1: and then you know, don't come back. That's our thing though.
- 26:10Speaker 1: But you know, now, you know, I'm noticing. You know,
- 26:13Speaker 1: she she didn't want out, you know, she didn't want
- 26:15Speaker 1: to lunch a couple of time with his brother named Alan,
- 26:16Speaker 1: And I'm like, okay, no, no, it ain't gonna go
- 26:18Speaker 1: down like this here. You know what I'm saying. Are
- 26:20Speaker 1: you my wife? Man? Hey, that's that's not why I
- 26:24Speaker 1: called you. I called you my wife. That's what I
- 26:27Speaker 1: want to know. I'm telling you about this dude named Alan.
- 26:30Speaker 1: I need you to step up as the husband and
- 26:32Speaker 1: fix this. But you're telling me that my wife is
- 26:36Speaker 1: cheating on both of us. Didn't know cheating on the
- 26:38Speaker 1: both of us. If she's she's cheating on me. You're
- 26:42Speaker 1: telling me that you with my wife too, that you've
- 26:45Speaker 1: been messing around with my wife. That's not that's not
- 26:49Speaker 1: the part I'm trying to talk about. I'm trying to
- 26:51Speaker 1: talk about this dude named Alan. Man, That's what I'm
- 26:53Speaker 1: trying to get out. We're gonna get to Alan. You
- 26:58Speaker 1: saying that my wife? Man, it's some crazy yo. You
- 27:02Speaker 1: know what, Man, I'm about to put my foot right
- 27:04Speaker 1: up your because when I don't play those games with her,
- 27:08Speaker 1: she with me, were messing around. We're doing this and
- 27:11Speaker 1: doing that. It don't work like that. Do you understand
- 27:13Speaker 1: what I'm saying? Do I hear what you're saying? But
- 27:15Speaker 1: the beef ain't with me. The beef is with Alan. No,
- 27:20Speaker 1: she messing over. She messing over both of us with Alan. Dog.
- 27:24Speaker 1: I'm about to call her because there's some right here.
- 27:27Speaker 1: I'm telling OK, hold on, bro, I just want you
- 27:30Speaker 1: to deal with Alan. Are you about to stop? I'm
- 27:33Speaker 1: at I'm at the job. Yeah, but I'm about to
- 27:36Speaker 1: put my foot in your Do you understand me? No?
- 27:40Speaker 1: I hear you? Man? Alan is the one that then
- 27:43Speaker 1: blew this thing out of proportion. Dog, She messing over
- 27:46Speaker 1: me and you with this here. There ain't no me
- 27:48Speaker 1: and you. I don't share. Do you see what I'm saying? Yeah,
- 27:53Speaker 1: I hear you. You don't. You don't hear me. I
- 27:58Speaker 1: don't shire. There's no sharing that goes on over here. Okay,
- 28:04Speaker 1: I do, I do. I'm just saying, you know, what
- 28:06Speaker 1: are you saying? Leaves me right here? Leave me right now.
- 28:11Speaker 1: I'm about to come up with where you at? Right now?
- 28:13Speaker 1: Where are you at? I'm at the job where what
- 28:17Speaker 1: Ronnie had I call Ronnie. I'm at the job where
- 28:19Speaker 1: Ronnie at. I call Ronnie. I called the ronnicka Ronnie.
- 28:22Speaker 1: I mean that's my little nickname too. It all right,
- 28:25Speaker 1: but well, hold on, hold on, hold on, ron Ronnie,
- 28:28Speaker 1: Ronnie right here, she's right where she right here, right here?
- 28:34Speaker 1: You want hue, Okay, cool man here cool? But can
- 28:40Speaker 1: I tell you what she's saying? I don't want to
- 28:42Speaker 1: hear what she's saying. I'm her on the phone right now. Okay,
- 28:45Speaker 1: But can I tell you what she's telling me to
- 28:47Speaker 1: tell you? She ain't telling you to tell me damn thing,
- 28:51Speaker 1: because the only thing that you is my foot. Okay, okay,
- 28:56Speaker 1: but but but but Ronnie wants me to tell you
- 28:58Speaker 1: this man. Just listen to me, Terrence. She wants me
- 29:01Speaker 1: to tell you that this is nephew Tommy from the
- 29:06Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show. You just got franked by your wife, Veronica.
- 29:13Speaker 1: You know what, I don't play this yond up, up,
- 29:20Speaker 1: yond up. I'm gonna give your old school woman you
- 29:27Speaker 1: are no, I'm not all right. I'm in the car.
- 29:31Speaker 1: I was on my way over there, about to go
- 29:33Speaker 1: to jail, mess to the round with y'all. Hey, let
- 29:38Speaker 1: me ask you this man, what is the baddest and
- 29:40Speaker 1: I mean the baddest radio show in the land. You
- 29:44Speaker 1: already known show nothing. Yeah, coming up at the top
- 29:57Speaker 1: of the hour, Thank you, nephew, coming up at the
- 29:59Speaker 1: top of the our entertainment and national news right after this,
- 30:03Speaker 1: you're listening to show. All right, everybody can make this
- 30:23Speaker 1: note to themselves. Doing business with a criminal suspect isn't
- 30:27Speaker 1: always the best way to go. Okay, just make that
- 30:30Speaker 1: note for yourself. So okay, Valencia Love put up. We're
- 30:34Speaker 1: wondering who put up the money to bail r Kelly
- 30:37Speaker 1: out of jail. Well, her name is Valencia Love. She
- 30:40Speaker 1: put up the one hundred thousand dollars needed to get
- 30:42Speaker 1: r Kelly out on bond back in February when he
- 30:45Speaker 1: was arrested on ten counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse.
- 30:49Speaker 1: She also paid his fifty thousand dollars in back child
- 30:52Speaker 1: support when he was jailed in March for missing payments.
- 30:55Speaker 1: To a national question, before you go any further, this
- 31:00Speaker 1: is not a joke. I'm asking a question. Is it
- 31:04Speaker 1: true that she owns a daycare? I heard she owned
- 31:08Speaker 1: the restaurant restare restaurant care. Yeah, I didn't hear she
- 31:12Speaker 1: owned a daycare. Now that was that? That was a
- 31:15Speaker 1: serious question. Yeah, yes, the answer had been yes. I
- 31:19Speaker 1: ask for restaurant, Okay, cool. I was just asking because
- 31:27Speaker 1: then if it was true, then we turned from a
- 31:31Speaker 1: question too. I would have several states. Ye, story, It's
- 31:38Speaker 1: just it's a restaurant. I just wanted to know. I know, seriously,
- 31:43Speaker 1: somebody told me that in a very serious tone, and
- 31:46Speaker 1: so I was just asking, was that alert a daycare alert?
- 31:52Speaker 1: I didn't hear that. The food in the end of
- 31:59Speaker 1: the daycare, Timmy, where did you hit this all? Alright?
- 32:02Speaker 1: Here it is here this once it was revealed a
- 32:04Speaker 1: woman helped free R Kelly. Twitter began to track her
- 32:07Speaker 1: down and found out she was a forty seven year
- 32:10Speaker 1: old and an owner of a couple of businesses in
- 32:12Speaker 1: Chicago area, one day care center, the other a restaurant.
- 32:17Speaker 1: So she owned both of them, actually both and that's okay.
- 32:21Speaker 1: So well, now, after after finding that out and thinking
- 32:26Speaker 1: it through a little bit more, album reserved my comments.
- 32:35Speaker 1: In a four page motion, Steve Valencia Love claims that
- 32:39Speaker 1: she knew R. Kelly personally and that he promised to
- 32:42Speaker 1: pay her money back at the time, she said she
- 32:45Speaker 1: didn't know about other investigations. Unfortunately, Illinois Judge Lawrence Flood
- 32:50Speaker 1: said no to Valencia Love's request because she has no
- 32:53Speaker 1: legal basis to get her money back. Meanwhile, R. Kelly
- 32:57Speaker 1: is in jail again, this time for federal crime. Wait
- 33:00Speaker 1: a minute, hold up, whoa, he's in jail again? He
- 33:04Speaker 1: and pop. Yeah, I didn't know that. How long you
- 33:07Speaker 1: been in jail? Some months? Yeah, that's been a couple
- 33:10Speaker 1: You was on the boat when they picked him up. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 33:16Speaker 1: you was on the boat when they picked up y'all.
- 33:30Speaker 1: We have to say congratulations. This is a big story
- 33:34Speaker 1: from my Home station Mix ninety two point three in Detroit.
- 33:38Speaker 1: We have to say congratulations to the Detroit Youth Choir.
- 33:43Speaker 1: They were a finalist last night on America's Gut Tell
- 33:50Speaker 1: Hit Detroit. We are so proud of you. They didn't win.
- 33:56Speaker 1: Cody Lee, the Blind Artistic guys, he won the million dollars.
- 34:03Speaker 1: But Detroit Youth Choir, they were right there and they
- 34:07Speaker 1: represent yeah, all right, switching gears now, ladies and gentlemen.
- 34:11Speaker 1: Miss Anne Tripp. Okay, thank you very much and good morning,
- 34:14Speaker 1: and yes, yes, yes, congratulations Detroit. This is a trip
- 34:18Speaker 1: with the news. Secretary State Mike Pompeia was accusing Iran
- 34:21Speaker 1: of making what he describes as an act of war
- 34:24Speaker 1: by attacking Saudi Arabia's oil infrastructure a few days ago.
- 34:28Speaker 1: Rebels and Yemen have cleaned responsibility for it, though, but
- 34:31Speaker 1: Pompey was dismissing that one because he says the Whosies
- 34:34Speaker 1: just don't have that kind of capability. The equipment used
- 34:38Speaker 1: is unknown to be in the hood the arsenal. Meanwhile,
- 34:41Speaker 1: President Trump is appointed Robert O'Brien to be his next
- 34:44Speaker 1: National security advisor, and this will be the fourth man
- 34:48Speaker 1: appointed to the position by Trump and only three years
- 34:51Speaker 1: before him. There were Generals Michael Flynn, HR mcmasses and
- 34:55Speaker 1: John boltimost recently, whom he said he fired, but John
- 34:57Speaker 1: Bolton said, no, I quit. Robert O'Brien has been serving
- 35:00Speaker 1: as America's point man, by the way, on hostage affairs. Also,
- 35:04Speaker 1: President Trump was in California yesterday where he announced that
- 35:07Speaker 1: he is revoking that state's long standing authority to regulate
- 35:11Speaker 1: its own emission standards for cars and trucks. California was
- 35:14Speaker 1: granted the authority to do that to regulate its own
- 35:17Speaker 1: emissions because the unhealthy air that was actually kind of
- 35:20Speaker 1: famous or infamous to be found in Los Angeles and
- 35:22Speaker 1: some other cities, all the smog and stuff, and that's
- 35:25Speaker 1: why they got the right in the first place. But
- 35:27Speaker 1: the Trump administration insists that relaxed standards will result in
- 35:30Speaker 1: less expensive and safer cars. But California Governor Gavin Newsom
- 35:34Speaker 1: says the White House is really trying to only please
- 35:36Speaker 1: one constituency, the oil industry. They don't care. He doesn't
- 35:39Speaker 1: care about the economy, he says, or consumers or health
- 35:42Speaker 1: or anything like that. As a result of an investigation
- 35:45Speaker 1: conducted by New Jersey's Attorney General and the Division of
- 35:48Speaker 1: civil rights. A white wrestling coach named Alan Maloney, who
- 35:52Speaker 1: had an assistant cut in African American kids, dreads off
- 35:55Speaker 1: before he would let the man compete. Young man compete well.
- 35:58Speaker 1: Alan Maloney has now been suspended himself from refereeing any
- 36:01Speaker 1: matches for the next two years. By the way, a
- 36:03Speaker 1: black wrestling coach says the same guy Maloney poked him
- 36:07Speaker 1: in the chest three years ago and called him the
- 36:08Speaker 1: N word when they had a disagreement. The black coach,
- 36:11Speaker 1: Preston Hamilton, responded by slamming Maloney to the floor. Troops
- 36:17Speaker 1: are being deployed in Bermuda this morning to help with
- 36:19Speaker 1: the reparation the preparations needed in advance of the arrival
- 36:23Speaker 1: of Hurricane Berto. The Category A three storm is expected
- 36:27Speaker 1: just north of Bermuda this morning. It may be kind
- 36:30Speaker 1: of a day right now. Any shift that could put
- 36:32Speaker 1: it right on top of the island. So we have
- 36:34Speaker 1: to see how the winds are going because it can
- 36:36Speaker 1: go from really bad to worse. Schools are closed into Bermuda,
- 36:40Speaker 1: so of the government offices, and there's no ferry or
- 36:42Speaker 1: bus service and a lot of folks try to get out.
- 36:44Speaker 1: Yesterday and the day before GM factories remain idle for
- 36:48Speaker 1: a fourth day to day, with some forty nine thousand
- 36:51Speaker 1: UAW workers still walking picking lines at Union wants a
- 36:54Speaker 1: bigger share of the carmaker's profits and better working conditions.
- 36:58Speaker 1: GM is said to want to bring labor costs down
- 37:00Speaker 1: so that they're closer to auto plants running foreign country
- 37:03Speaker 1: cut countries. Finally, today's National Cheeseburger Day. It's what's for
- 37:08Speaker 1: dinner if you like burgers. Now back to the Steve
- 37:11Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show. You're listening to show, all right, So
- 37:31Speaker 1: people are saying with all of these NFL quarterback injuries,
- 37:34Speaker 1: the Jets, the Saints, the Steelers, and now possibly Cam
- 37:37Speaker 1: Newton may not start on Sunday due to a foot
- 37:41Speaker 1: or an ankle injury. Foot and an ankle injury. Colin
- 37:45Speaker 1: Kaepernick's agent said Colin is literally in the best shape
- 37:49Speaker 1: of his life. He's been working out five days a week, yeah,
- 37:53Speaker 1: at five am, for three years. He wants to play.
- 37:57Speaker 1: His agent also has been kind tacking teams in need
- 38:01Speaker 1: of a quarterback. So what do you think, Steve, I
- 38:04Speaker 1: think it would be great for the league. The problem
- 38:08Speaker 1: that I'm having right now, though, is this settlement that
- 38:12Speaker 1: he signed with the NFL. I'm concerned that it has
- 38:19Speaker 1: some stipulations in it. See listen. Okay, okay, First of all,
- 38:26Speaker 1: you all do understand this that the NFL it's group
- 38:29Speaker 1: of owners. The group of owners hires Roger Goodell. You
- 38:36Speaker 1: do understand this. They hire the commissioner because the commissioner
- 38:41Speaker 1: is to represent the shield of the NFL. Now, he's
- 38:46Speaker 1: a pretty well liked owner amongst a lot of players
- 38:51Speaker 1: and amongst the owners, he's very popular guy amongst them.
- 38:56Speaker 1: Crowds boo him, but the players can said to him
- 39:00Speaker 1: to be a fair judge of character. I don't know
- 39:04Speaker 1: what the deal was that Colins signed the settlement money
- 39:08Speaker 1: that they had to pay him for keeping him out
- 39:10Speaker 1: of the league. So I don't know if his agent
- 39:13Speaker 1: is being fourth right with that, because you would think
- 39:17Speaker 1: his phone would ring at this particular time. Yeah, they
- 39:21Speaker 1: really need him. Would you have signed that knowing you
- 39:26Speaker 1: can't play that money? Okay? Yeah? It must have been
- 39:30Speaker 1: a lot of them because you might not play. Hello.
- 39:33Speaker 1: And see true, it's hard to get guaranteed money in
- 39:38Speaker 1: the NFL. Most players don't get guaranteed. Now, if you
- 39:41Speaker 1: get hurt and you don't make the team. You out
- 39:43Speaker 1: of money, I don't give it. If you don't. If
- 39:45Speaker 1: you signed a four year contract without guarantees and you
- 39:49Speaker 1: get cut the second year, they don't pay you. But
- 39:52Speaker 1: it's not like that in baseball and basketball. Huh oh. No,
- 39:58Speaker 1: Baseball the major and football is number one spectator sport
- 40:02Speaker 1: for television and everything. But the problem is they have
- 40:06Speaker 1: a sixteen game season. It's eighty six games in the NBA,
- 40:10Speaker 1: A hundred and sixty eight and eighty something games in baseball.
- 40:15Speaker 1: I don't know. I think you know what I'm saying,
- 40:20Speaker 1: six to one hundred and sixty two sixteen at the
- 40:26Speaker 1: money's not there, okay, but my owners, Dough they clock it. Yeah,

- 41:43Speaker 1: I'm making peace with a part of me that's yeourning
- 41:45Speaker 1: for my ancestral connection. Your thoughts on that, Steve who
- 41:50Speaker 1: I think She's absolutely right. That is probably the perfect
- 41:53Speaker 1: way to describe it. And that's why I think it's imperative.
- 41:58Speaker 1: It's if I know, I know people are gonna go, man,
- 42:02Speaker 1: that it's a long way them tickets. Listen to me,
- 42:07Speaker 1: Every African American should go back to their homeland. It
- 42:15Speaker 1: is beyond emotional. It is beyond emotional. You It's it's
- 42:20Speaker 1: a magnetic pool. It's where we're all from. See. America's
- 42:24Speaker 1: our home. I was born here, I was raised here,
- 42:29Speaker 1: My family is here, my friends are here. Things I
- 42:34Speaker 1: love I was cutting made in Cleveland. America's my home.
- 42:38Speaker 1: Make no mistake about that. But Africa is my home land.
- 42:43Speaker 1: When you step off the plane in Araica and Africa,
- 42:48Speaker 1: you feel a very very strong sense of belonging. Let
- 42:54Speaker 1: me tell you something else I've discovered. I'm gonna tell
- 42:59Speaker 1: you something and deep because I really had to come
- 43:02Speaker 1: to terms with this the other day, because I was
- 43:05Speaker 1: really searching my soul, man to really find out the
- 43:08Speaker 1: way to describe how I was feeling, because I just
- 43:11Speaker 1: didn't I couldn't put a grip on it. And I
- 43:15Speaker 1: discovered this, America is my home. Yeah, Africa is my
- 43:21Speaker 1: home land. America has my heart, Africa has my soul. Wow,
- 43:32Speaker 1: that is the best way. And I had to write
- 43:35Speaker 1: it down because I was just just happening. Let me
- 43:38Speaker 1: tell you today the seventeenth, on my morning meditation on
- 43:43Speaker 1: Tuesday morning the seventeenth, at six thirty am, I wrote
- 43:47Speaker 1: this in my journal because I was just wrastling with
- 43:50Speaker 1: how I felt about Africa and America and America is
- 43:55Speaker 1: my home I was born here. Come on, man, there
- 43:58Speaker 1: was opportunities here that I was able to take advantage of.
- 44:01Speaker 1: Has been a lot of strife that hit me, but
- 44:03Speaker 1: I dealt with it. My family is here, my brothers
- 44:06Speaker 1: and sisters is here, my mom and daddy buried here,
- 44:09Speaker 1: my family hill, my friends is here. That America my home,
- 44:14Speaker 1: but Africa is my home land. It's a piece of me.
- 44:20Speaker 1: When I was in that slave dungeon and I felt
- 44:23Speaker 1: and couldn't get up, and I told y'all what happened
- 44:27Speaker 1: to me. One of my ancestors was in that room
- 44:32Speaker 1: and he was on me. And when I put my
- 44:34Speaker 1: hand on the wall, I felt pressure on me. And
- 44:37Speaker 1: what made me know it was real, my oldest son,
- 44:41Speaker 1: Broderick Junior, was with me. He was facing that same wall,
- 44:46Speaker 1: heaving uncontrollably. He couldn't even turn around. That's when I
- 44:50Speaker 1: knew that I had made this boy, and somebody that
- 44:54Speaker 1: was in that male dungeon had made one of us.
- 44:58Speaker 1: Because there's no there's no, there's nothing beyond my father
- 45:02Speaker 1: in my ancestry dot com. Everybody trying and nothing passed
- 45:06Speaker 1: or my father. Now, America has my heart because of
- 45:10Speaker 1: my mom and daddy and my brothers and my sisters
- 45:14Speaker 1: and my friends and my career and family whew keeping.
- 45:20Speaker 1: But Africa has my soul. Africa will make you feel

- 56:17Speaker 1: the Strawberry letter, Thank you nephew. Subject should I love
- 56:21Speaker 1: him or leave him? Dear Stephen Shirley. I met an
- 56:24Speaker 1: older guy and I was attracted to him, but played
- 56:27Speaker 1: hard to get. He begged me for a first date,
- 56:30Speaker 1: and I eventually agreed to go out with him. He
- 56:33Speaker 1: asked me to pick him up, and I didn't think
- 56:35Speaker 1: much about it since his house was on the way
- 56:37Speaker 1: to the restaurant. When I got to the house, he
- 56:40Speaker 1: came out, and so did a much older lady. He
- 56:43Speaker 1: got in my car and told me that was his mother.
- 56:46Speaker 1: That was his mom, and that he lived with her.
- 56:49Speaker 1: At this point I had an opportunity to tell him
- 56:51Speaker 1: that I was not interested, but I went out to
- 56:54Speaker 1: dinner with him anyway. At dinner, he told me that
- 56:56Speaker 1: he's a convicted felon, but that was years ago and
- 57:00Speaker 1: he's got a great job and a new life now.
- 57:02Speaker 1: I kept seeing this man and eventually went to his home,
- 57:06Speaker 1: well his mom's house, and saw how filthy his room was.
- 57:11Speaker 1: And I also noticed that his mom's yard was unkept
- 57:14Speaker 1: and there was trash lying around the driveway and porch there.
- 57:18Speaker 1: These were red flags, and I told him he should
- 57:22Speaker 1: do better at helping his mom out around the house.
- 57:25Speaker 1: Then I invited him to my house to meet my
- 57:27Speaker 1: two children. I know he talks really hood and street,
- 57:31Speaker 1: but I thought he would do better when he met
- 57:33Speaker 1: my children, he did not, and my kids asked him
- 57:37Speaker 1: why he was talking like a rapper. He kept commenting
- 57:41Speaker 1: on how nice I kept my house, and after the visit,
- 57:44Speaker 1: his conversations turned to us making a commitment. He suggested
- 57:49Speaker 1: moving in with me so we could be closer and
- 57:51Speaker 1: he could help me out around the house. I was
- 57:54Speaker 1: excited at first because I really liked this man, but
- 57:58Speaker 1: then I thought I was being nice eve and he
- 58:00Speaker 1: could just be using me although he has some character flaws.
- 58:04Speaker 1: Could I work on this fix er upper and be happy?
- 58:07Speaker 1: Or should I leave this man at his mama's house?
- 58:10Speaker 1: Please advise, run, run, run as far away from this
- 58:16Speaker 1: man as you possibly can. I mean, you got to
- 58:18Speaker 1: leave this man alone, please. I mean, when you see
- 58:22Speaker 1: red flags, don't ignore them. That's what red flags are for. Okay,
- 58:26Speaker 1: let's go through him. He lives with his mom, all right.
- 58:31Speaker 1: The yard is nasty, his room is nasty. He has
- 58:36Speaker 1: no car. He doesn't know how to be a good
- 58:39Speaker 1: role model in front of your children. And if he's
- 58:41Speaker 1: got such a nice job, in a great job and
- 58:44Speaker 1: all this stuff like you see in the letter, why
- 58:46Speaker 1: doesn't he save his money and get an apartment. There
- 58:49Speaker 1: was no discussion about that in this letter. And you
- 58:53Speaker 1: know it wasn't until after he saw your place, after
- 58:56Speaker 1: he came over there, that he started, you know, like
- 58:59Speaker 1: kind of pressure you to move in and to be committed.
- 59:03Speaker 1: He said he would help you around the house. Oh really,
- 59:06Speaker 1: you would help her, but you're not you. He'll help you,
- 59:08Speaker 1: but he's not going to help his own mom around
- 59:10Speaker 1: the house. He could at least clean up the yard,
- 59:13Speaker 1: and what about his room. Come on, I don't get this.
- 59:17Speaker 1: I say, don't let him in your house in this
- 59:21Speaker 1: kind of a way. Don't let him move in. Please,
- 59:23Speaker 1: this is not how you want to live. You have
- 59:25Speaker 1: two kids to think about. I think if he was
- 59:28Speaker 1: and you didn't mention you know, what he was incarcerated
- 59:31Speaker 1: for or anything like that. You just said he's out.
- 59:33Speaker 1: That was years ago, and he has a great job
- 59:36Speaker 1: in a new life now. But it just doesn't look
- 59:39Speaker 1: like it or seem like it. You know, yeah, he
- 59:41Speaker 1: could be using you, but I say no, it's too
- 59:44Speaker 1: soon to move in. Don't let him do it. Steve,
- 59:49Speaker 1: I'm I'm confused. I really am huh about Why? Why
- 59:56Speaker 1: is she writings? Yeah, what is the purpose of this letter?
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: I don't even know why? Why are we? Why are
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: we talking to her about? Who? Who are we talking about? That?
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: Everything in this letter screams what? Yeah, I mean, the
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: whole damn letter. Let's start. I met an older guy
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: right down and use attracted to him, but you played
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: hard to get Okay, you know, older guy. He begged
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: me for a first date. I agree with brother. He
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: asked me to pick him up. Right now, let's stop,
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: let's let's go. Let's listen, just listen. You met an
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: older guy. He asked me to pick him up. I
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: ain't think nothing about it since his house was on
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: the way to the restaurant. When I got to the house,
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: he came out, and so did a much older lady.
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: Let's circle this. Let's just go for what we got
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: so far. I met a older guy. He asked you
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: to pick him up. He come out of the house
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: with an old ass lady. He got in my car
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: and told me this was his mom and he lived
- 1:01:20Speaker 1: with her. Let's circle that. At this point I had
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: the opportunity to tell him I was not interesting. But
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: I went out to dinner with him anyway for what? Why?
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: Let me circle that. I went out to dinner with
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: him anyway. Then at dinner he told me he's a
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: convicted feeling. Let's circle that twice. But that was years ago,
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: and he got a good job and got a new life.
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: Now I kept seeing this man and eventually went to
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: his house, well, his mom's house. Okay, Let's circle that,
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: because now about were you? Why are you still talking
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: to his ass after this? I don't know, But you
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: went back to his mama's house. And then this older
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: man you met. You saw how filthy his room was.
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: You know, the last time I had a room, I
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: was seventeen. Yeah, and last time I took somebody to
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: my room other than a dormitory in college. Yeah, all right,
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: how filthy his room was. Let's stop down or to
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: be right? At twenty three after the hour, a subject
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: of today's Strawberry Letters. Should I love him or leave him?
- 1:02:44Speaker 1: We'll be back right after this. You're listening, all right, Steve,
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: Come on, let's recap. Today's my recap can just be
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: a continuation because as I continue, I'll explain it. I'm
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: gonna show you everything that's wrong with this letter. This
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: letter is should I love him or leave him? Stephen Shirley.
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: I met an older guy. I circled that I was
- 1:03:26Speaker 1: attracting him, but I played hard to get. He begged
- 1:03:29Speaker 1: me for a first date. I eventually agreed to go
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: out with him. He asked me to pick him up.
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: I circled that everything I circle is screaming what I
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: ain't think much about it since his house was on
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: the way to the restaurant. When I got to the
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: house and he came out, and so did a much
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: older lady. I circled that, who is this old ass lady?
- 1:03:55Speaker 1: He got in my car and told me that this
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: was his mom and he lived with her. I circled that,
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: let's go back, older guy, you had to pick him up,
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: he's this old lady. Stay there, and you found out
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: his mama. At this point I had an opportunity to
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: tell him I was not interested, but I went out
- 1:04:16Speaker 1: to dinner with him anyway. I circled that the question
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: I'm begging everybody to ask yourself. Is why is you
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: at dinner with this old ass man to stay at
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: the house with his mama that you had to pick up?
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: That's all I'm asked At dinner. He told me he
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: was a convicted fellon. This whole letter is going to hell.
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: But I kept seeing the man why. Eventually I went
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: to his house where his mom's house. So I circled
- 1:04:47Speaker 1: that because it took you two visits to get it
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: the first time you pulled up. Next time you went
- 1:04:52Speaker 1: to the damn house and found out it was a
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: mama's house. Stretch yelled on in blue plates, leaning up
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: against the wall on the fireplace, and had that big
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: woodn't and spoon and fox set hanging on the damn wall,
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: that picture of white Jesus, mar Luther King and John F. Kenned.
- 1:05:09Speaker 1: And I noticed that his mom's yard was unkept, and
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: it was trash laying around. I circled that he don't
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: give a damn by his mama. Trash laying around the
- 1:05:20Speaker 1: driveway and the porch that's where he eats. These were
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: all red flags, and I told him he should do
- 1:05:28Speaker 1: better helping out his mom around. Now you know what
- 1:05:31Speaker 1: judge Lyn told her told me one time on the
- 1:05:33Speaker 1: show what she said, women should stop collecting red flags. Ye,
- 1:05:43Speaker 1: women should stop collecting red flags time. I'm gonna let
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: you use that already for love this year, women should
- 1:05:52Speaker 1: stop collecting red flags. I told him he should do
- 1:05:57Speaker 1: better helping his mom out around the house. Then I
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: to him to my house to meet my two children.
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: I circled this, why is he meeting your damn kids?
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: Exactly what redeeming quality has he exhibited where you think
- 1:06:13Speaker 1: it's time for him to meet your damn kids? Now
- 1:06:17Speaker 1: he talks real hood in street. I circled that he
- 1:06:23Speaker 1: stay at home with his mama. Is mama old? He
- 1:06:25Speaker 1: had to pick him up. He lived with his mama.
- 1:06:28Speaker 1: You went out to dinner anyway, he a convicted felling.
- 1:06:31Speaker 1: You went to his mama's house. His room is filtered.
- 1:06:34Speaker 1: It's translating around the driveway in the porch. I invited
- 1:06:37Speaker 1: him to your house to meet the two kids, and
- 1:06:39Speaker 1: he talked real hood in street. This whole letter is
- 1:06:42Speaker 1: just going to hell. But I thought he would do
- 1:06:44Speaker 1: better when he met my children. He did not, And
- 1:06:48Speaker 1: your kids asked him why was he talking like a rapper?
- 1:06:53Speaker 1: You know why? Because your kids know his whole ass
- 1:06:57Speaker 1: should be talking better than one of the damn piers.
- 1:07:02Speaker 1: Your kids know that, but you don't. So I circled that.
- 1:07:08Speaker 1: He kept commenting on how nice I kept my house.
- 1:07:11Speaker 1: Hell yeah, hell yeah, you just described as mama's house.
- 1:07:18Speaker 1: And after the visit, his conversation has turned to us
- 1:07:22Speaker 1: making a commitment, a commitment to what he suggested, moving
- 1:07:28Speaker 1: in with me so he could be closer and he
- 1:07:31Speaker 1: could help out round the house. He don't help out
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: round the house. He don't help out round the house.
- 1:07:38Speaker 1: He don't help out in his filth ass room. He
- 1:07:40Speaker 1: don't help out with nothing on the poach, He don't
- 1:07:42Speaker 1: help out with nothing with the driveway. Where do he
- 1:07:45Speaker 1: clean up at? So he fitn't help you. Well, I
- 1:07:50Speaker 1: was excited at first because I really liked this man.
- 1:07:55Speaker 1: What is it you like? You ain't saying nothing in
- 1:07:57Speaker 1: the letter you like ye? Your whole letter is you
- 1:08:01Speaker 1: just how disappointed you on this man? Then you sound
- 1:08:04Speaker 1: really like him? You like what you must not. You
- 1:08:07Speaker 1: ain't never handle man before, you never had a good
- 1:08:11Speaker 1: man before. Because if this is what you like, I
- 1:08:15Speaker 1: show what I hate to see, the one you got
- 1:08:16Speaker 1: rid of, the one you had them two kids by lady,
- 1:08:22Speaker 1: you need to up your up your game. I really
- 1:08:24Speaker 1: like this man, but then I have thought I was
- 1:08:26Speaker 1: being you naive and he could be using me. Although
- 1:08:32Speaker 1: he had some character flaw character flaw. He old his hell.
- 1:08:40Speaker 1: That ain't a character flaw. He ain't got a car.
- 1:08:43Speaker 1: That ain't a character flaw. He stayed with Hi Mama.
- 1:08:46Speaker 1: That ain't a character flaw. He's a convicted felon. That
- 1:08:50Speaker 1: ain't a character flaw. His room is filtered. That ain't
- 1:08:53Speaker 1: a character flaw. It's chanced on the dryway in the porch.
- 1:08:57Speaker 1: That ain't a character flaw. He wants to move in
- 1:09:00Speaker 1: with you so he can help out round house here.

- 1:11:21Speaker 1: She had a short natural she was on MERV Griffin.
- 1:11:24Speaker 1: She loved that that But Steve, what you think about it?
- 1:11:26Speaker 1: What you think about the hologram? Black people don't like ghosts?
- 1:11:30Speaker 1: That is that that ray pocket Junr. I ain't fraid
- 1:11:35Speaker 1: of no ghosts. That it is, Steve. They're gonna be
- 1:11:38Speaker 1: hard candy show to Detroit. I'm just checking, you know.
- 1:11:44Speaker 1: I wish it well. I wish you to be successful,
- 1:11:48Speaker 1: but this will probably do real good overseas. Yea, overseas,
- 1:11:54Speaker 1: Fox happen. They don't body. Black people don't like it
- 1:11:59Speaker 1: gold m m no, no not. And you can't do everybody, Steve,
- 1:12:07Speaker 1: you can't don't do no Luther Andel's hologram. Nobody wants
- 1:12:10Speaker 1: to listen to that. No, that's hurd our art. That
- 1:12:13Speaker 1: makes us cry. But then they're gonna have them talking
- 1:12:17Speaker 1: to the orders. How y'all doing hell? No behind me, Satan,
- 1:12:22Speaker 1: I'm not talking no evil spirit. No, that's my doing it.

- 1:12:45Speaker 1: We gotta get out of you. Start by thank you.
- 1:12:49Speaker 1: Cheryl coming up at the top of the hour, it's
- 1:12:52Speaker 1: Carlin Reality. You're listening. All right, Tommy, it's that time.
- 1:13:15Speaker 1: Let's go, Low's go, Let's get it. Let's get it.
- 1:13:17Speaker 1: She is here, Calor Ferrel with what reality update. Oh,
- 1:13:26Speaker 1: let's talk about the Real Housewives of Potomac the Season
- 1:13:30Speaker 1: four the Reunion show, Part one. All right, my girl,
- 1:13:34Speaker 1: Jazelle Bryant, Steve Gazelle Bryant. She announced that, yes, that
- 1:13:44Speaker 1: she and her ex husband, Pastor Jamal Bryant are dating again.
- 1:13:51Speaker 1: All right now, Yes, isn't that good? Yes, Pastor Jamal
- 1:13:58Speaker 1: and Gizelle they were married, she said, I guess about
- 1:14:02Speaker 1: seven years and they got a divorce. They are co parenting.
- 1:14:05Speaker 1: They have three children, beautiful together, three daughters. Yes, those
- 1:14:09Speaker 1: girls are beautiful. And Giselle said that the two have
- 1:14:13Speaker 1: been seeing each other since last year and that Pastor
- 1:14:16Speaker 1: Jamal was heavily pursuing her. And she went on to say,
- 1:14:21Speaker 1: there's nobody who knows me like that man. And I said,
- 1:14:26Speaker 1: all right, girl. She also forgives him for cheating on her.
- 1:14:31Speaker 1: She says that yes, she wanted to. Uh, you know,
- 1:14:36Speaker 1: they're giving their love a second chance. That's what it seems.
- 1:14:38Speaker 1: You know what. You know, they've had time away from
- 1:14:43Speaker 1: each other. That's not bad. You know, people go, I
- 1:14:46Speaker 1: wants to cheat, always are cheated. That's not true. People change, man, Yeah,
- 1:14:51Speaker 1: people change all the time, and for the better. That's outstanding. Yeah.
- 1:14:56Speaker 1: Gizelle said, you know, people, you know you you're not
- 1:14:59Speaker 1: You aren't your mistakes. That's what she said. You know,
- 1:15:01Speaker 1: you are not your mistakes. And she has forgiven him,
- 1:15:05Speaker 1: and so you know they have three children together and
- 1:15:08Speaker 1: they're dating again, and you know, one of the castmates, Monique,
- 1:15:11Speaker 1: asked her, oh, are you ready to be a first lady,
- 1:15:14Speaker 1: And she's like, whatever the Lord has for me, I
- 1:15:17Speaker 1: am ready. So good for them, good for Zelle and
- 1:15:20Speaker 1: Jamal has Eddie Long's old church. I've heard, man, nothing
- 1:15:31Speaker 1: but really really good things about it. Yeah. Yeah, I
- 1:15:35Speaker 1: read an article Steve in the Atlanta Journal Constitution. The
- 1:15:38Speaker 1: church is doing building assistant living, affordable assistant living, yeah,
- 1:15:46Speaker 1: for senior citizens, medical facility. So they are doing big
- 1:15:50Speaker 1: things for the community in Atlanta. So congratulations. And they're
- 1:15:55Speaker 1: just doing God's work down there. People who are close
- 1:15:58Speaker 1: to me who go to the church. Uh, and I
- 1:16:01Speaker 1: just think, man, they're doing it. He's doing He's doing
- 1:16:04Speaker 1: the heck of a job man down there. He really
- 1:16:06Speaker 1: really is right. Uh yeah, Kanye, he was just there. Yeah.
- 1:16:11Speaker 1: We talked about that earlier this week on the show
- 1:16:13Speaker 1: when Kanye was there as well. All right, back to
- 1:16:16Speaker 1: the reunion show. Did you see Shirley, Candice and Ashley
- 1:16:20Speaker 1: they were doing the most. They got him, Steve saying
- 1:16:25Speaker 1: for me again, girl, they got him, yes, Chow, they
- 1:16:29Speaker 1: got on my nerves. Anyway, Candice mother, Candice's mother, Miss Dorothy,
- 1:16:35Speaker 1: was there and talked about their relationship. I just don't
- 1:16:37Speaker 1: understand what's going on with them, mother and daughter. Anyway,
- 1:16:40Speaker 1: Candice bart receipts, brought receipts there, I should say, to
- 1:16:43Speaker 1: prove that this town home that her and her husband
- 1:16:47Speaker 1: lived in is actually hers with her mom. Just you know,
- 1:16:50Speaker 1: a whole bunch of drama with that. And there's an
- 1:16:54Speaker 1: also there's a rumor that Ashley and her husband Michael,
- 1:16:57Speaker 1: that they are not coming back to the show. I
- 1:17:00Speaker 1: don't know if that's true. I don't believe that quite.
- 1:17:02Speaker 1: Thank you, Junior. That's what I need my know, Yeah,
- 1:17:05Speaker 1: I don't know if that's true. And finally let me
- 1:17:08Speaker 1: move on. Yeah, before we run out of time, y'all,
- 1:17:11Speaker 1: we have to say congratulations. This is a big story
- 1:17:15Speaker 1: from my home station NIX ninety two point three in Detroit.
- 1:17:19Speaker 1: We have to say congratulations to the Detroit Youth Choir.
- 1:17:24Speaker 1: They were a finalist last night on America's Gut tell
- 1:17:28Speaker 1: Us No Detroit, we are so proud of you. They
- 1:17:36Speaker 1: didn't win. Cody Lee the Blind Autistics SI guys, he
- 1:17:42Speaker 1: won the million dollars. But Detroit Youth Choir they were
- 1:17:45Speaker 1: right there and they represent Yeah. Yep, so that's reality. Update.
- 1:17:51Speaker 1: Hit me up at lip Spark, Carla, and we'll be
- 1:17:53Speaker 1: back at twenty after you're listening to show Well. The
- 1:18:14Speaker 1: chicken sandwich wars are on. First Popeyes versus Chicken Bilelet
- 1:18:19Speaker 1: Now now KFC is rolling out a new version of
- 1:18:25Speaker 1: their chicken sandwich which features a piece of fried chicken.
- 1:18:29Speaker 1: Check this out. Flapped between two glazed donuts. Oh yeah, delicious,
- 1:18:37Speaker 1: sugar and grease together. What's not the love about that?
- 1:18:45Speaker 1: Right between no, no joke, fried chicken and doughnuts. Sandwiches
- 1:18:54Speaker 1: are currently being tested at locations in Norfolk and Richmond, Virginia,
- 1:18:58Speaker 1: as well as in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. What do you think,
- 1:19:01Speaker 1: Steve Harvey, let me ask you something. Is it bread
- 1:19:04Speaker 1: or they're using the two doughnuts as the bread? Yeah?
- 1:19:07Speaker 1: The two donuts tell the bread. Uh? Well, I'll tell
- 1:19:12Speaker 1: you right now. It might taste good because I've had glaze,
- 1:19:16Speaker 1: don't know which, some fried chicken. But if you eat
- 1:19:19Speaker 1: that whole sandwich, what's gonna happen? I strongly suggest that
- 1:19:25Speaker 1: you eat it under the overhang at the emergency room,
- 1:19:30Speaker 1: like a lot of bites up there, and eat your
- 1:19:33Speaker 1: sandwich on the curb in front of the emergency did right,
- 1:19:38Speaker 1: that's enough cholesterol to bush your heart. Yeah, that's a
- 1:19:42Speaker 1: lot right there. And the sugar. If you don't have diabetes,
- 1:19:47Speaker 1: you wheel all right? All right, We'll have more of
- 1:19:51Speaker 1: the Steve Harvey Morning Show coming up and some trending
- 1:19:54Speaker 1: news at thirty three after the hour. Right after this.
- 1:19:56Speaker 1: You're listening to show, all right, So, Steve, you know,
- 1:20:16Speaker 1: earlier this week we were talking about parenting and our
- 1:20:19Speaker 1: kids and everything, and we didn't get around to the nephew.
- 1:20:21Speaker 1: He's been wanting to ask you this question about parenting
- 1:20:24Speaker 1: all week. Nephew, you have the floor, all right. So
- 1:20:29Speaker 1: my little girl, Sitney, she turned fifteen. We throw a big,
- 1:20:34Speaker 1: you know, big dinner, and she got a lot of
- 1:20:36Speaker 1: kids there. I mean a lot of teenagers from Jack
- 1:20:39Speaker 1: and jail. And you know it's fine. We got about
- 1:20:42Speaker 1: twenty thirty kids at the table and then at our table.
- 1:20:45Speaker 1: It's more than adults. But I'm starting to see these
- 1:20:48Speaker 1: little boys hugging my daughter and taking pictures with it.
- 1:20:52Speaker 1: I ain't never seen this before. You're gonna have to
- 1:20:54Speaker 1: hit one of them in the face. I don't know how.
- 1:20:58Speaker 1: Listen to me. You're gone, No, just ain't got nothing
- 1:21:00Speaker 1: to do with y'all ladies. Dadda. You had to hit
- 1:21:02Speaker 1: one of them little punk as boys in their face
- 1:21:05Speaker 1: in front of the other boys. But don't let nobody
- 1:21:07Speaker 1: see it but the boys. All right, now go ahead,
- 1:21:11Speaker 1: now let's do the radio as ahead. What how do
- 1:21:17Speaker 1: I handle this as a father? And I don't want
- 1:21:20Speaker 1: to be too hard on it, but I don't want
- 1:21:22Speaker 1: to be too soft on it at the same time, Hey, man,
- 1:21:26Speaker 1: respect my house. I know my daughter's beautiful. I know
- 1:21:30Speaker 1: you probably attract a tool, but this my house. I
- 1:21:33Speaker 1: won't you be respectful my house now? In essence, while
- 1:21:38Speaker 1: they're living in your house, you have some say so
- 1:21:42Speaker 1: now I'll tell you like I did one of mine.
- 1:21:45Speaker 1: I said, this is what happened. I'm really trying to
- 1:21:49Speaker 1: be this new person. God made me on this boat
- 1:21:52Speaker 1: this year, and but the old meet keeps creeping back.
- 1:21:55Speaker 1: Mind dog, he talked all the time. I will see
- 1:22:00Speaker 1: go somewhere and shut the hell up. You know, Tommy, Man,
- 1:22:07Speaker 1: it's hard because in your house you can set rules
- 1:22:12Speaker 1: and parameters, right, and so just pull the young dude
- 1:22:16Speaker 1: over to the side and just say, listen, man, I
- 1:22:19Speaker 1: got rules in my house, and you have to be
- 1:22:21Speaker 1: respectful of my house. Yeah, don't don't. Don't come in
- 1:22:24Speaker 1: my house handling my daughter. That's you can say that
- 1:22:29Speaker 1: because it's your house and a man, don't don't be
- 1:22:32Speaker 1: over the hug. You know nobody when you and missed
- 1:22:34Speaker 1: my house. House. And that's a good message to have
- 1:22:36Speaker 1: out because after that, dog, it's out your hands. Know
- 1:22:39Speaker 1: what they do outside the house, it's not because you're
- 1:22:42Speaker 1: not letting them do it in the house. That's what
- 1:22:44Speaker 1: people have misconception of they think that in parenting, if
- 1:22:47Speaker 1: you don't allow them to do it in the house,
- 1:22:49Speaker 1: when they get out the house, if you don't let
- 1:22:52Speaker 1: them do it in the house, when they get out
- 1:22:53Speaker 1: the house, they're gonna do it. No, they're gonna do
- 1:22:55Speaker 1: it any damn way. Right. You know, you got people
- 1:22:57Speaker 1: talking about I let my kids drink and small weed
- 1:23:00Speaker 1: in the house. That way. They ain't out in the
- 1:23:01Speaker 1: streets drinking and smoking. Yes they are. If they're drinking
- 1:23:05Speaker 1: a smoking weed in your house, they're drinking a smoking
- 1:23:08Speaker 1: weed on the street. You be a fool to allow
- 1:23:10Speaker 1: it to happen in your house. You gotta have some
- 1:23:13Speaker 1: type of rules, man, to give them. Pauls for thought
- 1:23:17Speaker 1: when they go out the house. Just Paul's for thought.
- 1:23:20Speaker 1: You're not gonna stop. All right, coming up, our last
- 1:23:23Speaker 1: break of the day and some closing remarks from the
- 1:23:27Speaker 1: very wise and very talented too Steve Harvey. Right after
- 1:23:31Speaker 1: this you're listening to all right, here we go, last
- 1:23:53Speaker 1: break of the day, and um, Steve, yeah, you're this
- 1:23:59Speaker 1: is the time you get kind of quiet and in
- 1:24:01Speaker 1: your pensive moment because it's almost time for your closing remarks.
- 1:24:05Speaker 1: But it's been a good day. Rights, it's an it's
- 1:24:10Speaker 1: good you know these closing remarks of late Man. I
- 1:24:13Speaker 1: just want to kind of explain it to everybody. What
- 1:24:16Speaker 1: I've decided to do is, uh, just share with you
- 1:24:20Speaker 1: some experiences that I've gained uh and and a lot
- 1:24:24Speaker 1: of it has to do with spirituality. Now let me
- 1:24:28Speaker 1: let me just start by saying this. I'm not a
- 1:24:32Speaker 1: very religious person per se. Uh. I think I'm really
- 1:24:38Speaker 1: a spiritual person, but religious it kind of comes with
- 1:24:44Speaker 1: a different connotation. I don't claim to be perfect. It
- 1:24:50Speaker 1: doesn't matter to me what church you go to, what
- 1:24:53Speaker 1: mosque you go to, what synagogue you go to. It
- 1:24:57Speaker 1: doesn't matter to me. It's not my business. And I've
- 1:25:02Speaker 1: chosen to be that way. And I think that God
- 1:25:04Speaker 1: is okay with me being that way, because my message
- 1:25:08Speaker 1: is to try to convince or to help people understand
- 1:25:12Speaker 1: that having a relationship with God is really cool. It's
- 1:25:16Speaker 1: the relationship you want with God. Your choice of religion
- 1:25:22Speaker 1: is none of my business. I have a lot of
- 1:25:25Speaker 1: Muslim friends. I know some great Muslim people around the world.
- 1:25:30Speaker 1: I know some great Christian people around the world. I
- 1:25:32Speaker 1: know great Catholics around the world. I know great Jewish
- 1:25:36Speaker 1: people protesting whatever. I know some really really cool people,
- 1:25:42Speaker 1: and I just decided that my mission is not to
- 1:25:46Speaker 1: convince you to see it my way. My mission is
- 1:25:50Speaker 1: to try to help you understand that having a relationship
- 1:25:53Speaker 1: with God, it's critical for you. It's necessary serry for you.
- 1:26:02Speaker 1: You know, I posted something the other day on my
- 1:26:05Speaker 1: Instagram and it was a picture of a warrior with
- 1:26:08Speaker 1: his head bent and he was on his knee and
- 1:26:11Speaker 1: he had a sword in his hand and a shield.
- 1:26:14Speaker 1: And on this Instagram post I posted it, and if
- 1:26:20Speaker 1: you go on my Instagram you can see it from yesterday,
- 1:26:23Speaker 1: and this man is on his knees with his head bowed,
- 1:26:25Speaker 1: with his sword in his hand and armor and shield on.
- 1:26:29Speaker 1: And he said, the devil saw me with my head
- 1:26:32Speaker 1: down and thought he'd won until I said, a man,
- 1:26:38Speaker 1: So what the paint was saying is my head ain't down.
- 1:26:41Speaker 1: I'm actually praying. And so after I sent that, you know,
- 1:26:45Speaker 1: I was just reading the comments, which which I know better.
- 1:26:49Speaker 1: But the second comment and the capture under it was
- 1:26:52Speaker 1: prayer works. The second comment under their third comment was no,
- 1:26:59Speaker 1: it don't. And you just go, wow, wait a minute, man,
- 1:27:05Speaker 1: it don't matter what you say, some people gonna they
- 1:27:09Speaker 1: just dared to counter. But I don't do it for
- 1:27:12Speaker 1: those people anymore. I do it for those people who
- 1:27:14Speaker 1: trying to get it. And if you're trying to get
- 1:27:16Speaker 1: a relationship with God, it's important for you to understand something.
- 1:27:21Speaker 1: You know what you gotta understand something. Let me sprain
- 1:27:24Speaker 1: to you what I learned about favor because my life
- 1:27:26Speaker 1: has a lot of favor on it. But I know
- 1:27:29Speaker 1: a lot of people who got favor on their life.
- 1:27:32Speaker 1: Somebody told me one time, favor ain't fair. Favor is
- 1:27:37Speaker 1: not fair. If favor was fairly giving out, if it
- 1:27:41Speaker 1: was favor was giving out family, none of us would
- 1:27:44Speaker 1: get it. Oh, favor ain't fair because if favor was
- 1:27:49Speaker 1: given out to the just or the righteous, if that's
- 1:27:53Speaker 1: how fair was passed out, would none of us get it.
- 1:27:57Speaker 1: Favor ain't fair. That's why you can look over somebody's
- 1:28:01Speaker 1: life and you can judge them and say, well, they
- 1:28:02Speaker 1: ain't all this, but they got this. That's cause favor
- 1:28:05Speaker 1: ain't fair. But let me show you what what favor do.
- 1:28:08Speaker 1: Do you know how much favor gods give to you?
- 1:28:10Speaker 1: To show you that favor ain't fair, Watch this him.
- 1:28:13Speaker 1: Have you ever woke up in the morning and didn't
- 1:28:16Speaker 1: thank God for waking you up in the morning, but
- 1:28:19Speaker 1: he woke you up anyway? That was favor. Let me
- 1:28:22Speaker 1: ask you a question, because I hardly ever do this
- 1:28:25Speaker 1: when I lay down at night. I have never I
- 1:28:28Speaker 1: don't recall asking God to wake me up in the morning.
- 1:28:32Speaker 1: But you know what he did for sixty two years,
- 1:28:35Speaker 1: he didn't woke me up in the morning. You know
- 1:28:38Speaker 1: what that was? That was some favor. Favor ain't fail
- 1:28:42Speaker 1: because guess what, I ain't even asked to be awaken.
- 1:28:45Speaker 1: I have left the house without thinking him for waking
- 1:28:48Speaker 1: me up. But he keep waking me up, and he
- 1:28:52Speaker 1: keep laying me down to sleep, and he keep giving
- 1:28:54Speaker 1: me another chance, and he keeps me alive when it
- 1:28:58Speaker 1: seems like I should have been gone. He holds me
- 1:29:01Speaker 1: when I feel so alone. He corrects mistakes that I've made,
- 1:29:06Speaker 1: on decisions I've made. He's correcting him from me. You
- 1:29:09Speaker 1: know what that was, y'all? That was favor. Every time
- 1:29:14Speaker 1: you take a breath that you have no control over,
- 1:29:17Speaker 1: can I tell you something that's favor? That's why you
- 1:29:24Speaker 1: you hear old people talk about grace and favor, and
- 1:29:27Speaker 1: old people say, all I want is a little more grace,
- 1:29:32Speaker 1: because great, you can't earn grace, you can't earn favor.
- 1:29:36Speaker 1: It's just given. Favor is given to the just, Favor
- 1:29:42Speaker 1: is given to the unjust. Favor is given to the grateful.
- 1:29:47Speaker 1: Favor is given to people that don't ever say thank you.
- 1:29:50Speaker 1: All of us have benefited from his favor. What do
- 1:29:55Speaker 1: you think would happen if you form the closer relationship
- 1:29:59Speaker 1: with him? Well, tomorrow, I tell you what ha happened,
- 1:30:03Speaker 1: because it happened to me. I just want to share
- 1:30:06Speaker 1: that with you. Y'all, have a great weekend. Talk to God.
- 1:30:09Speaker 1: He'd loved to hear from you. Okay, that's a good one.
