- Scott Miller: anyone that thinks that there's some sort of a Republican resurgence coming on, ⁓ I don't know if going to call it red wave, but it's certainly heading that direction. ⁓ And I mean, around the country, know, ⁓ the who have been actively, and frankly, even who have been actively working against Donald Trump are really starting to pay the price now. Greg Fink: Right. Yeah, because if you actually look at the Republicans who lost in the incumbents, her, you know, again, their buds handed to them, they're the one, and you're right, Thomas Massey, I think, was a great congressman. But at some when he, you know, starts working with the F-scene and working on these issues, or single issues and stuff like that, which I'll agree, you know, the F-scene files and everything, that's a big deal. But, you know, whenever you start just, that's your only gig. It can't be your only gig. you you're public servant. You're ⁓ the people's house. There are a lot more issues on the table. It just says one or two issues. And that's actually what Trump is talking about. mean, Graham, I'm sure he has one of you picked on or his friend. I mean, there's lots of reasons that I'm really privy to about the whole Epstein thing and Trump and ⁓ everything I really, just don't care at the moment. What I do care about is ⁓ taxes down. about jobs being created, about energy being created here in America, and our dependency being off foreign sources of oil like it is getting off, about us creating peace, about us deregulating. There's a spectrum of here ⁓ that all these issue Republicans and Democrats both are losing. mean, you look at Crockett. She lost in her primary. And the other... crazy guy and the democratic side in Texas. lost in his primary. mean... ⁓ Scott Miller: Well, to be fair, Crockett was due to lose, but she lost... Well, I guess it was a primary, so she was going to lose. You can't even blame the redistricting because she lost in the primary. Greg Fink: Brush it. Exactly. No, you can't. But she lost for the same, she lost on her primary, the same reason why Thomas Massey lost in his primary, because they, they got bottled tunnel vision on these single issues and not the issues about their district. And that's the thing that we see so many times in campaigns over the last 30 years. You got to really care about your district. I mean, and that's the, that's the topic that I think we saw yesterday. Scott Miller: Well, you know they did, and we've seen a number of politicians do this, ⁓ frankly, that have represented we've lived in, ⁓ where they basically give up on the possibility that they're going to actually accomplish anything or ⁓ move forward legislation and stuff like that. ⁓ I mean, so they just start dropping these crazy points. Greg Fink: Exactly. Scott Miller: And, and, and, know, do they play well in the district? Are they popular with people in the district? Sure they are. But the problem is, is, you know, you got a whole bunch of other legislators who have their own interests and you start stepping on everything that they're doing to try to move things forward. Then you're not going to get anyone to work with you. And, and, and I, I've seen people keep their, you know, keep their seats doing that. Although one of them, were able to unseat one of them. Greg Fink: Right. Scott Miller: But I've seen, the problem becomes if you do it, so you're basically working against leadership and working, you're not doing anything for your district and you against the executive. Well, now you've got nobody to help you. And in this case, you know, when you've got a powerful executive like Donald Trump, then all it's going to take is a few, ⁓ a few the right words and him just basically saying. Greg Fink: Right. Yeah. Scott Miller: You are a bad you need to go and your are gonna oblige you.
