- 2:10Speaker 1: How good is God? Hum think about it? Just take
- 2:13Speaker 1: a slight inventory of your own life and say it
- 2:16Speaker 1: to yourself when you get through, how good is God?
- 2:19Speaker 1: Think of all the small things, all this because that's him.
- 2:22Speaker 1: You breathe, that's him. You steal him. That's him. You
- 2:27Speaker 1: got another chance, that's him. You ain't out of him.
- 2:31Speaker 1: That's him. You got any measure of health, that's him.
- 2:35Speaker 1: You think it's more to it than it really is,
- 2:37Speaker 1: that it already showed up to be. That's him. All
- 2:40Speaker 1: of that. You got, any dreams, of aspirations, you dream
- 2:43Speaker 1: of other things, that's him. All that, that's him, that's him. Him,
- 2:48Speaker 1: clothes you got, that's him. Every time you eat. That's
- 2:51Speaker 1: why they had this thing called you say your grace.
- 2:53Speaker 1: That's him. That's him, man, that's him. It's amazing when
- 2:57Speaker 1: you take a small inventory, how you out how big
- 3:00Speaker 1: God really is in your life. Now, the more you
- 3:03Speaker 1: turn yourself over to him, the bigger he can be.
- 3:05Speaker 1: For you. See, he'll only be as big as you
- 3:08Speaker 1: let him. It's one thing about God. Now, he's a gentleman.
- 3:12Speaker 1: He can make you do anything. You know, you get
- 3:16Speaker 1: too big for him, you know you you you, you
- 3:19Speaker 1: lose your humbleness. He can humble you. Now. God created
- 3:24Speaker 1: man with the power of choice. We're the only creature
- 3:29Speaker 1: he created that. He gave us the total power of
- 3:32Speaker 1: choice when we mate, who we mate with. You know everything,
- 3:37Speaker 1: all of it. Man. It's the choice what we want
- 3:40Speaker 1: to be, how much we want to make, where we
- 3:41Speaker 1: want to live, what climate we want to live in.
- 3:44Speaker 1: We can live in cold climates, high climates. You know,
- 3:47Speaker 1: we speak different languages. You can go learn another language.
- 3:51Speaker 1: A bear can't do nothing but be a bear. He
- 3:56Speaker 1: can't go learn how to be a fox. He can't
- 3:59Speaker 1: go learn how to be an artor. He just can't.
- 4:02Speaker 1: An ostrich is an ostrich man. He can't come out
- 4:05Speaker 1: of here and fight like a lion. A lion is
- 4:08Speaker 1: a lion. A lion eating meat. He can't eat vegetables.
- 4:11Speaker 1: I don't care how much meat ain't around. He'll lay
- 4:14Speaker 1: down and pull up out of here and die because
- 4:16Speaker 1: he can't eat grass. He's just a lion. Man. You
- 4:21Speaker 1: understand this that God gave us. We are the one
- 4:24Speaker 1: creature he created that has total power of choice. You
- 4:28Speaker 1: can make every decision in your life. What kind of
- 4:30Speaker 1: watch you like? That's the one you can buy. You
- 4:34Speaker 1: want to live in Switzerland, go ahead. You don't like Switzerland,
- 4:38Speaker 1: you move to Miami. You want to live your life
- 4:42Speaker 1: a crime, Go ahead, that's you. He gave you the
- 4:46Speaker 1: power of choice. You want to do right? Come on,
- 4:50Speaker 1: So now look at this thing. We are all the
- 4:55Speaker 1: results of a series of decisions that we have made.
- 5:02Speaker 1: If we could just identify that the problem is us,
- 5:07Speaker 1: we could began the solution. See that's the problem, y'all,
- 5:12Speaker 1: it's us. It's what we do. I threw my life
- 5:16Speaker 1: down the hill. I can't tell you how many years
- 5:19Speaker 1: based on some decisions that I was making. Now I
- 5:22Speaker 1: can justify my decision with I wasn't happy and I
- 5:25Speaker 1: was doing this and I was in measuring y'all on
- 5:27Speaker 1: that ye yes to you when you get through. You
- 5:30Speaker 1: made the decisions though, and you can look at this
- 5:33Speaker 1: anywhere you want to, y'all. But at the end of
- 5:34Speaker 1: the day, I'm just talking to people that's really really
- 5:37Speaker 1: wanting to improve their position in life. And how do
- 5:41Speaker 1: you do that? You got to have a solution. How
- 5:45Speaker 1: do you come up with a solution? You got to
- 5:47Speaker 1: identify the problem to even began to solve it. But
- 5:54Speaker 1: if the problem ain't ever you, how are you gonna
- 5:57Speaker 1: solve something that ain't you? See? Okay, let me look
- 6:04Speaker 1: at this one. If somebody said, like I got a
- 6:08Speaker 1: child of mine, man, I just do right here. Man,
- 6:11Speaker 1: I don't even wanna get into it this morning. Or
- 6:13Speaker 1: I'm struggling with this this boy. But man, you go
- 6:17Speaker 1: to people, you're asking why they do so? I just
- 6:20Speaker 1: I just wasn't taking care of business. Why I just
- 6:24Speaker 1: didn't take care of business? Boy, do you understand that
- 6:28Speaker 1: your life is gonna be filled with you got to
- 6:30Speaker 1: take care of business. So when you're gonna start, you
- 6:34Speaker 1: know what I mean? You can't. You can't. You can't
- 6:36Speaker 1: go through life blaming everybody. It's got to be you. See,
- 6:40Speaker 1: you can fix you. You can't fix nobody else if
- 6:43Speaker 1: you keep getting married and the marriages don't work. Hello, Hello, Hello,
- 6:48Speaker 1: could it be you? South finally had to sit down
- 6:53Speaker 1: and just make that decision. They don't need me coming
- 6:55Speaker 1: on the radio talking about nobody else and what they
- 6:58Speaker 1: did to me, and y'all just don't know. No, man,
- 7:01Speaker 1: what about the part you played in it? Because see,
- 7:03Speaker 1: if you got a good marriage, you got a part
- 7:05Speaker 1: to play in that. If you got a bad one,
- 7:07Speaker 1: you got a part to play in that. Even if
- 7:11Speaker 1: it just get down to you the one picked them,
- 7:13Speaker 1: how about that, mister, mister, I made a decision. The
- 7:18Speaker 1: problem is usually within yourself. Do you know? That's the
- 7:21Speaker 1: quick is an easy way to fix your life. That way,
- 7:24Speaker 1: you ain't got to check with nobody. Here's the beauty
- 7:27Speaker 1: of going on and admitting that is you. You don't
- 7:30Speaker 1: have to check or clear it with nobody to start
- 7:34Speaker 1: the repair process. You don't need anybody's permission. You ain't
- 7:38Speaker 1: got to put it before the review board to see
- 7:40Speaker 1: if it'll pass. It ain't got to go through Congress.
- 7:43Speaker 1: You ain't got to hope that you're local politician get
- 7:46Speaker 1: their hands on it to make a phone call for you.
- 7:49Speaker 1: You ain't got to ask any counselors to come in
- 7:51Speaker 1: and sit with you. You don't have to check in
- 7:52Speaker 1: the rehab. All you got to do is decide the
- 7:56Speaker 1: problem is me. I'm gonna start changing me. Identify the
- 8:03Speaker 1: problem and start with the part that you can own
- 8:08Speaker 1: up to. Once you identify the problem, you can start
- 8:14Speaker 1: planning on how to fix it or how to get
- 8:16Speaker 1: to accomplishing something. But remember this planning is important. If
- 8:21Speaker 1: you fail to plan, then please plan to fail. If
- 8:27Speaker 1: you don't know how to make a plan, let's just
- 8:30Speaker 1: start with the basics. Just make a list of what
- 8:33Speaker 1: you want. Make this list and then go to God
- 8:38Speaker 1: in prayer with an open mind and open your mind
- 8:43Speaker 1: up to all the clean opportunities that are available here.
- 8:48Speaker 1: Why a lot of people won't succeed because certain opportunities
- 8:51Speaker 1: come along you don't want to do them. That kills me. Man,
- 8:55Speaker 1: when I hear here, I ain't doing that. I know
- 8:58Speaker 1: young comedians that come to me all the time talk
- 9:00Speaker 1: about Man, what you're not saying. Man, just take every
- 9:02Speaker 1: gig you can, no matter what they pay. Well, listen
- 9:06Speaker 1: to me, Son, You can go make that money that
- 9:09Speaker 1: they pay, or you can make the decision to sit
- 9:12Speaker 1: at home and make no money. It's a comedy, hard business.
- 9:17Speaker 1: They ain't paying but one hundred dollars. You gotta drive,
- 9:20Speaker 1: drive fifty miles. But if you drive fifty miles and
- 9:23Speaker 1: you make the hundred, and you stand on that stage
- 9:25Speaker 1: for thirty minutes, you are now thirty minutes better than
- 9:28Speaker 1: you was the last time you went on stage. Oh, man,
- 9:33Speaker 1: I ain't man, they don't pay me. I ain't coming.
- 9:35Speaker 1: You ain't going to be a comedian, man, not not,
- 9:38Speaker 1: not like this hill. A lot of people just don't
- 9:41Speaker 1: want to do what's necessary to do. So when the
- 9:44Speaker 1: opportunity presents itself and you open up your mind to it, man,
- 9:47Speaker 1: then get ready to go on and do it. Man,
- 9:50Speaker 1: identify your problem today. Start with the part dash you
- 9:57Speaker 1: you're listening to show. Ladies and gentlemen, we are here.
- 10:04Speaker 1: Gratitude resides, attitude is on high, and the altitude does apply.
- 10:11Speaker 1: If you ain't grateful, just start thinking about some small
- 10:14Speaker 1: things that he's done for you. Think about everything he's
- 10:17Speaker 1: ever bought you through. Just start there, and then as
- 10:20Speaker 1: you start doing it to lead to other things to
- 10:23Speaker 1: be grateful for. You got a lot to be grateful for.
- 10:25Speaker 1: I know you may not be where you want to be,
- 10:27Speaker 1: and that's all right. Don't worry about that. You're on
- 10:29Speaker 1: your way. God got his hands on you know that.
- 10:34Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Martin Show, Shirley Stripberry calling for Rare Junior
- 10:38Speaker 1: Matha to South and the legend that is Nephew Timmy
- 10:41Speaker 1: Hey Junior, ge Hey. I think he started off right
- 10:45Speaker 1: for me. The gratitude, it's a big you talked about
- 10:50Speaker 1: the last week, but uck it's done. Came through. He
- 10:54Speaker 1: came through. He got the house, he came through, he came.
- 11:00Speaker 1: He came through. Man, he came through. I'll tell you
- 11:05Speaker 1: right now. I'll tell you right now. You've been you've
- 11:07Speaker 1: been saying it, man, but when you find out that
- 11:09Speaker 1: God is deeper than what you thought. He weighed deeper
- 11:12Speaker 1: than what I thought. Man, he weighed deeper than something
- 11:14Speaker 1: I've never even had the chance to experience. I'm so
- 11:18Speaker 1: proud of myself, man, because I came from nothing. Man.
- 11:22Speaker 1: This journey been so deep because when I remember, man,
- 11:26Speaker 1: when I was, when I was trying to do something God,
- 11:29Speaker 1: It's good. I'm serious. I can't even explain it, because
- 11:35Speaker 1: it told me I wasn't gonna even be nothing. Man,
- 11:39Speaker 1: I got a sickle sale. I'm fighting every single day, Junior.
- 11:46Speaker 1: It's a good thing. Yeah, man, it's a good Thing's
- 11:52Speaker 1: a major accomplishment. Man. See God to take you out
- 11:55Speaker 1: in deep water so far that you you didn't think
- 11:58Speaker 1: you could swim in, take you right on out there,
- 12:02Speaker 1: and then they'll take you out there in front of
- 12:03Speaker 1: your enemies, and then and then so so they can
- 12:06Speaker 1: see you swimming. You know, all the people have said
- 12:10Speaker 1: you wasn't nothing, Junior. They're gonna see the house. They're
- 12:13Speaker 1: gonna want to come by. They're gonna have to sit there. Oh,
- 12:16Speaker 1: they're gonna have to watch it. You know. They're cutting
- 12:18Speaker 1: on TV. They got radios, they cutting it on Remember that.
- 12:22Speaker 1: I don't know why you got it in the comedy.
- 12:23Speaker 1: You ain't fit to be nothing? Who you thank you all?
- 12:27Speaker 1: They got radios. They listening every day they see a concert, Junior,
- 12:32Speaker 1: kill space sold out. Yeah, God got his hands on you. Man.
- 12:37Speaker 1: That's a good that's a good thing to realize and
- 12:40Speaker 1: see at its moments like this man, when he do
- 12:42Speaker 1: something for you you didn't think was doable. You didn't
- 12:45Speaker 1: see it coming. You ain't see no way how that's him.
- 12:50Speaker 1: When they told you it couldn't be done and you
- 12:52Speaker 1: did it anyway, that was him. You know, when they
- 12:56Speaker 1: wrote y'all off, but they wrote you off, you kept writing.
- 13:01Speaker 1: That was him. M When they ain't see you crying
- 13:05Speaker 1: at night, but you got up the next day and
- 13:08Speaker 1: kept going, that was him. Yes, he felt like you
- 13:13Speaker 1: wasn't gonna make it and you didn't have no answer,
- 13:16Speaker 1: but you got up anyway and he gave you answer.
- 13:19Speaker 1: That was him. Yes, what do you do all day? Steve,
- 13:26Speaker 1: Harve and Martin show, they got a harsh out delight favorite.
- 13:34Speaker 1: That's right. Coming up at thirty two minutes after the hour,
- 13:38Speaker 1: we'll have some church complaints from Reverend Motown and Deacon
- 13:40Speaker 1: deaf Jam right after this. You're listening, It is time
- 13:47Speaker 1: now for church complaints with Reverend Motown and Deacon deaf Jam.
- 13:52Speaker 1: Oh we gavel on this moon. Yeah, to offer you
- 14:00Speaker 1: are by curious gratitude, come out here. We offer you
- 14:07Speaker 1: a pontentificly of soulless as we realize that over Laton
- 14:20Speaker 1: it's a part of communication. We come to you in
- 14:26Speaker 1: a most by curious way, by knowing that voluptuously we
- 14:35Speaker 1: won't more. Yeah, we now go to Deacon death jail
- 14:41Speaker 1: for our church complain yea all right past that. We
- 14:48Speaker 1: need you to a glowy let it get in there,
- 14:52Speaker 1: let me now, yeah, make a way out of that way.
- 14:59Speaker 1: Just the Yanka Miller tattooed baby had on her forehead
- 15:04Speaker 1: and it's that's a bad influence on the youth. Can
- 15:07Speaker 1: you encourage the kids not to do this? They just
- 15:10Speaker 1: want you to talk to the youth path. Well, she
- 15:17Speaker 1: didn't tattoo that baby had all cross have foe head
- 15:20Speaker 1: and it's just it's just a meth will I'm gonna
- 15:23Speaker 1: tell you right now, it's gonna look crazy when she washing. Hell,
- 15:28Speaker 1: it's just gonna be laying there and she can't change
- 15:34Speaker 1: her hairstyle. Tell you right now, you can't have bangs
- 15:38Speaker 1: on the windy day and riding down into convertible and
- 15:40Speaker 1: it blow back. And that baby had laying right there
- 15:44Speaker 1: just as neat and on the face. It ain't the
- 15:48Speaker 1: wisest of decisions. But I don't. I'm gonna have to
- 15:51Speaker 1: wait a few years while to make a call on
- 15:54Speaker 1: this with Deacon have Well, I need more jokes to
- 15:58Speaker 1: write about to baby hell sister or binda or tattooed
- 16:07Speaker 1: eyebrows or just last week. Yes she did. I fell
- 16:13Speaker 1: asleep while they was doing the tattoo and when she
- 16:20Speaker 1: opened her eyes, the eyebrows was too high. Oh yeah,
- 16:29Speaker 1: so at nine and I looked like she's saying hung
- 16:32Speaker 1: all the time, all the time. Not a good look.
- 16:37Speaker 1: Past all right, pastor, here's an issue that took place yesterday.
- 16:46Speaker 1: Brother Raybon Brinks had an issue during the Super Bowl
- 16:50Speaker 1: nine A game. They gave him some hot pockets to
- 16:53Speaker 1: keep his hands warm while they was on the patio
- 16:56Speaker 1: watching the game. Now it was so long that he
- 16:59Speaker 1: peed on himself. Listen, brother Danny is the one that
- 17:03Speaker 1: gave him these hot pockets, and he whopped Danny's behind
- 17:06Speaker 1: the whole halftime. You're gonna have to top the brother
- 17:08Speaker 1: Raymond Burke's pass. Well, I've done some research on this
- 17:13Speaker 1: because the brothers had called me. Raymond called me and
- 17:17Speaker 1: told me what happened, but no one paid attention. The
- 17:23Speaker 1: hot pockets he gave him was the wars you eat,
- 17:28Speaker 1: and he stuck his hands down in the pepperoni and
- 17:32Speaker 1: double cheese hot pocket and when he pulled him out,
- 17:36Speaker 1: they were warm, but he got it all over his
- 17:39Speaker 1: old Super Bowl jers, and that's where the ad went for.
- 17:44Speaker 1: He had put cheese and pepperoni on his old jersey.
- 17:47Speaker 1: Called the hot pockets wars. Actually the wars you eat.
- 17:52Speaker 1: I didn't know that. I didn't. I didn't know. That's
- 17:53Speaker 1: why I wasn't there with j I don't know. I've
- 17:56Speaker 1: already dealt with this complaint. Thank you. You're just a
- 17:59Speaker 1: little bit late. He's not telling the truth. You're thinking
- 18:02Speaker 1: hand warmers is what you're thinking. He got That's what
- 18:05Speaker 1: I thought it was. Well, no, there was hot pockets.
- 18:08Speaker 1: The meal put him into oven. Well, they still pee
- 18:13Speaker 1: on himself when they put him. He why did he
- 18:15Speaker 1: put him in his pocket? Then why would he do that? Well,
- 18:17Speaker 1: if you stick your hands and hot ass cheese, don't
- 18:20Speaker 1: tell you right now you're gonna pee on yourself. Yeah,
- 18:24Speaker 1: that's a pe moment. You can't get that cheese off
- 18:27Speaker 1: right away? Lord him, Oh my goodness, all right, past it. Listen.
- 18:34Speaker 1: The ladies of the church are doing a five fundraiser,
- 18:38Speaker 1: five different things. They're doing a fundraiser to raise money
- 18:40Speaker 1: so they can attend to beyond sat Cortin's heart and
- 18:43Speaker 1: that's ten of them that's doing that. Then they're doing
- 18:44Speaker 1: bake sales, car watches, they are, they're selling quilts, they
- 18:48Speaker 1: baby sitting. But even when they get through with all that,
- 18:51Speaker 1: it's gonna be just enough money to buy two tickets.
- 18:54Speaker 1: Are the other eight is asking can you help pastor?
- 18:57Speaker 1: But the but they're trying to raise money to see Beyonce.
- 19:00Speaker 1: But it's it's tickets. It's so high that well, it
- 19:07Speaker 1: seemed to me like they don't ain't gonna make it. No,
- 19:09Speaker 1: that's cold pass or what they can do is when
- 19:15Speaker 1: they give them the bracelet so they can re enter,
- 19:19Speaker 1: they just rotate every two songs, go out, give your
- 19:23Speaker 1: girl Brady, let her come in. But somebody gonna stay
- 19:26Speaker 1: moding two songs. That's gonna create a problem. Mister Fletcher
- 19:32Speaker 1: has already said since it was her idea, she's not
- 19:35Speaker 1: rotate for the whole concert. She's actually making her silver sequence.
- 19:43Speaker 1: Cowboy had to wear to the concert right now. I
- 19:48Speaker 1: ain't passing last but not least that JPJJ Praise Danswers
- 19:53Speaker 1: halftime show has not been paid. They want to know
- 19:56Speaker 1: when you're gonna cut their check because they are, you know,
- 20:00Speaker 1: the makeup and the dresses they wore was expensive and
- 20:03Speaker 1: one of a kind, and they want to make sure
- 20:05Speaker 1: hold them. Like heard Steve say on Sherfy' shipard that
- 20:11Speaker 1: he don't really care for the praise one. All of
- 20:19Speaker 1: them old wanna be gymnastics. You know, they ain't never
- 20:22Speaker 1: been on a balanced beam. If they get up there now,
- 20:25Speaker 1: won't beat on Mobam anybody. They were the first ones
- 20:31Speaker 1: to have uneven parallel balls at the playground or want
- 20:34Speaker 1: to way too much and just made one of the
- 20:37Speaker 1: balls uneven. That church complaints for today with Reverend Motown
- 20:42Speaker 1: and Deacon death Jam, they're coming up next, it is
- 20:45Speaker 1: asked the CLO with our Chief Love Officer Steve Harvey.
- 20:49Speaker 1: Right after this, you're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show. Coming
- 20:54Speaker 1: up at the top of the hour. We're recapping the
- 20:57Speaker 1: big game, the highlights of the game, Anna's halftime showy
- 21:02Speaker 1: of course, the big win. We'll talk about all the
- 21:05Speaker 1: best commercials. That is all coming up at the top
- 21:08Speaker 1: of the hour, But right now it's time to ask
- 21:11Speaker 1: the CLO. Here we go, Chief Love Officer Diana and
- 21:15Speaker 1: Portsmouth says, my husband and I usually spend Saturday mornings
- 21:19Speaker 1: together at the gym or going for a walk. A
- 21:22Speaker 1: week ago, he said he wants to work out alone
- 21:24Speaker 1: because I talked too much, and he'd preferred to meditate.
- 21:29Speaker 1: But why can't I go if I promise to be quiet?
- 21:33Speaker 1: Because you've made that promise before. You don't know how
- 21:37Speaker 1: to be quiet. You talk all the time. Why can't
- 21:40Speaker 1: he meditate by himself? And well, how you going to meditate? No,
- 21:46Speaker 1: meditate another time? Now he don't want He want to
- 21:49Speaker 1: be at the gym, workout and focus him. Okay, but
- 21:54Speaker 1: he want to go alone. Yeah, she ain't working out
- 21:56Speaker 1: and then talk. You see them people be on the
- 21:59Speaker 1: bike eating books and stuff of hear working out reading.
- 22:05Speaker 1: I'd be like them. People be walking through your neighborhood,
- 22:07Speaker 1: the coup to coffee, just be talking where study. We'll
- 22:10Speaker 1: sit on the panio, enjoy your sam coffee. So she
- 22:22Speaker 1: promised to be quiet this time, so's he'd know that,
- 22:28Speaker 1: So work out separately. Okay, that's your advice, all right.
- 22:30Speaker 1: Moving on to Heather and Raleigh. Heather says, I have
- 22:34Speaker 1: two sons by two different guys, and we're all cool,
- 22:38Speaker 1: but my husband hates it if I'm too friendly or
- 22:41Speaker 1: joke around with them. He hates it. My husband was
- 22:43Speaker 1: fine before we got married, but now he hates my exes.
- 22:47Speaker 1: Will he ever accept them as part of our family? No,
- 22:53Speaker 1: you know, I'm Michael. That ain't his job to like them.
- 22:56Speaker 1: His job is to love them. Boy. Now, I'm assuming
- 22:59Speaker 1: you had these two boys by two different dudes before
- 23:03Speaker 1: you got married. I'm assuming that's what it is. Yeah, yeah,
- 23:07Speaker 1: that's what she's saying. So you can't expect him to
- 23:09Speaker 1: latch on tall this he didn't did the best he could. No,
- 23:12Speaker 1: he don't like it. All this, how high he held gone.
- 23:15Speaker 1: You slept with him gone. See that's all he's seeing
- 23:19Speaker 1: in his head. You slept with him. You over here
- 23:21Speaker 1: had laughing. They're just friendly. They're they're here baby Daddy's
- 23:26Speaker 1: they gotta get along. You ain't Walt Hart. You ain't
- 23:29Speaker 1: want the baby gone? No, I understand why. Yeah, I
- 23:32Speaker 1: ain't with none of that. I mean, it's cool if
- 23:34Speaker 1: you've worked that out and be friendly and have the
- 23:37Speaker 1: copard and do all that. That's beautiful. If you've been
- 23:43Speaker 1: working I can't. I understand it exactly where he had.
- 23:49Speaker 1: I don't need your help none of that. Bye, all right,
- 24:00Speaker 1: gone to a mirror in Jacksonville. A mirror writes, my
- 24:03Speaker 1: husband cheated on me in November, and I forgave him,
- 24:07Speaker 1: but I haven't been intimate with him since then. He's
- 24:10Speaker 1: getting impatient and I'm afraid he'll cheat again. But I'm
- 24:13Speaker 1: not ready for intimacy just yet. Am I wrong to
- 24:16Speaker 1: deprive him of sex? No? I mean I can't tell
- 24:20Speaker 1: you how to handle it. If you got to handle
- 24:21Speaker 1: it your way, I don't know how that feels, you know,
- 24:25Speaker 1: as a woman, to happen to a woman. So I'm
- 24:27Speaker 1: certainly do not want to tell you how to feel.
- 24:30Speaker 1: You're not wrong if you're not ready. You're not ready.
- 24:32Speaker 1: You forgave him, you know. I think he's lucky. He's
- 24:35Speaker 1: still in. You ain't took half everything he's ever working. Well, yes,
- 24:39Speaker 1: but so I can't really say that right there. But
- 24:44Speaker 1: now he's impatient. Yeah, yeah, yeah, it's it's late February, Yeah,
- 24:50Speaker 1: super bold. We had New Year's Eve, we had CRISPA
- 24:54Speaker 1: had thank you listen. Yeah yeah, I listen. Oh ho
- 24:59Speaker 1: ho you got you a gift and everything? Yeah, you
- 25:02Speaker 1: know happen to Yeah you know all this hill you
- 25:06Speaker 1: know tomorrow Valatize Day. Damn this saint Patty's day. So
- 25:21Speaker 1: she what what do you say? I can't I don't know.
- 25:24Speaker 1: I can't tell her if she should, if she ain't ready,
- 25:27Speaker 1: I can't tell her. I don't know. You know. Yeah,
- 25:30Speaker 1: that's a tough one. That's hard with ladies. I don't
- 25:33Speaker 1: know how to tell you. But you know, yeah, three moments, Okay,
- 25:38Speaker 1: let me all the big holidays and what on? What?
- 25:41Speaker 1: I know there's a double standard, But just flip it.
- 25:44Speaker 1: If it happened to you, would you you wouldn't be there, right,
- 25:47Speaker 1: you wouldn't have stayed. Well, what you mean what explained
- 25:50Speaker 1: with me? I mean, it just flipped the situation instead
- 25:54Speaker 1: of her husband. You yeah, kids white, Yeah, you know cheated. Yeah,
- 25:59Speaker 1: the wife cheated. Oh, I ain't gonna be able to
- 26:02Speaker 1: make love to you know where we half it's over there. Well,
- 26:06Speaker 1: I mean I'm in prison soon because you know why,
- 26:16Speaker 1: so you killed him. He gone out, So there's no
- 26:23Speaker 1: way y'all can so you look at and he's in prison. Yeah,
- 26:29Speaker 1: you know, Now unless I can go somewhere where they
- 26:30Speaker 1: got conjugal visits, you know, just gonna work out marriage
- 26:39Speaker 1: on any time you come see me. I'm mad at
- 26:43Speaker 1: you because you stayed dor ass in that house, then
- 26:45Speaker 1: I wouldn't be in hell. Yeah right, it's all her fault,
- 26:51Speaker 1: all right. So yeah, so that's one of the reasons.
- 26:54Speaker 1: Probably she can't be intimate just yet. Gonna take a
- 26:57Speaker 1: minute or more, however long it takes us, however long
- 27:01Speaker 1: it takes right, all right, Steve last one. Gavin Dover says,
- 27:05Speaker 1: I meant a handsome, well dressed man, and I went
- 27:08Speaker 1: to his home and he didn't have hot water, heat
- 27:11Speaker 1: or a working stove. He said, he's feuding with the
- 27:14Speaker 1: gas company. Why would he invite me over? There? Is
- 27:18Speaker 1: this a red flag or another chance? He had spent
- 27:23Speaker 1: all his money on his clothes, where as you're sitting
- 27:27Speaker 1: up somewhere he ain't got nothing. Tell me what all
- 27:30Speaker 1: he don't have surely hot water, heat or a working stove.
- 27:35Speaker 1: And this is all right. The gas is the gas
- 27:39Speaker 1: is gone. He said, he's feuting with the gas company. Yeah,
- 27:43Speaker 1: you know, the feud is. We said pay us now,
- 27:50Speaker 1: you said not yet, right, They said, well, when you do,
- 27:56Speaker 1: we'll give you gas. You said, why I can't get
- 28:01Speaker 1: my gas? I said, I pay you, We don't do,
- 28:06Speaker 1: I'll we do. God, well, we got our money. Not
- 28:12Speaker 1: when I pay you, they won't they money now this
- 28:17Speaker 1: dispute unless you change your language. I pay you today,
- 28:24Speaker 1: Now the real dispute can begin. There is no dispute
- 28:29Speaker 1: when the gas company control the switch. Now, if you
- 28:33Speaker 1: don't know the rule, you don't know how to cut
- 28:34Speaker 1: your own gas on out on that street, then does
- 28:37Speaker 1: you just a food? How I knew how to reconnect
- 28:41Speaker 1: my gas? Who are you? I had the little tool
- 28:46Speaker 1: that turned a little knob in front of your house
- 28:49Speaker 1: in the ground up under the gas. Y'all didn't had that.
- 28:52Speaker 1: Y'all didn't know y'all my gas drive Off the top
- 29:00Speaker 1: of the hour. We'll have the big game recap for
- 29:03Speaker 1: me right after this. Wow, you're listening to the Steve
- 29:07Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show. Here we are. The Super Bowl is over,
- 29:14Speaker 1: super Bowl fifty seven. Yes, in a way, everybody wins
- 29:18Speaker 1: because it was such a good, tight, close game. And wow, congratulated,
- 29:25Speaker 1: No everybody, No Philly, Billy, Philly this morning. Oh my goodness.
- 29:37Speaker 1: Not the big House, City, big House, give me no win?
- 29:42Speaker 1: Really what your bet? Don't worry about that? I love
- 29:46Speaker 1: they said, Um Drake bet a million dollars in the chiefs.
- 29:51Speaker 1: Oh my god. Any one big. Yeah, I wonder what
- 29:54Speaker 1: matches Mac bet he probably better million dollars he will
- 30:00Speaker 1: he want one point eight, Not that you know off
- 30:04Speaker 1: the top of it was the odds, you know, before
- 30:07Speaker 1: the game started, because Philip was favored about pointing to half.
- 30:10Speaker 1: So if you better, you better thousand dollars, you want
- 30:13Speaker 1: eight hundreds. So you know, I've been five dollars on
- 30:16Speaker 1: Kansas City. That's what I did. What do you want
- 30:20Speaker 1: to I bet? I bet by all my boys. That
- 30:24Speaker 1: was at the house, So I bet five guys. I want,
- 30:27Speaker 1: I want congratulations. I mean, it was a really good game,

- 30:55Speaker 1: half he can what you do that boyd and everything? Yeah,
- 31:01Speaker 1: ankle and everything came back. They were down by ten, right,
- 31:07Speaker 1: the Eagles were doing it. They were doing it. Then
- 31:09Speaker 1: the second half the Chiefs was doing it. Yeah, Steve
- 31:14Speaker 1: Harvey doing it. Are you looking like this big dog?
- 31:18Speaker 1: It's over. It's it's a rap. We want Casey came
- 31:24Speaker 1: in and showed up and showed out. Yeah yeah, yeah,
- 31:29Speaker 1: yeah yeah. You know all these bandwagon as people, you
- 31:32Speaker 1: know we still are. And it don't sound like we
- 31:40Speaker 1: have to give credit where credit is due. They are
- 31:43Speaker 1: the champions of the Chiefs. They want who whoa whoa
- 31:48Speaker 1: whoa whoa whoa whoa? Where? Where the resentment where? That's
- 31:58Speaker 1: how you play. That's football. Okay, okay, well, y'all lost.
- 32:02Speaker 1: He's having Cleveland Flashbacksute Que sih five lousy heard heard?
- 32:15Speaker 1: Hold on? Hold on? Oh this is about you sidh
- 32:21Speaker 1: five lous Excuse me one second. It was folk cues
- 32:26Speaker 1: in that game and they lost. Two of the ques
- 32:30Speaker 1: was on Phillies team, and two of the ques was
- 32:34Speaker 1: on Kansas City team and one of them is the
- 32:38Speaker 1: offensive coordinator egg beIN of me. So now what you're
- 32:43Speaker 1: gonna do. What you're gonna do, mister little bitty nut,
- 32:46Speaker 1: is take your tone out. This about the damn que
- 32:49Speaker 1: because I ain't see I ain't see a cane nowhere
- 32:52Speaker 1: out there, you SI five louse about your tone? Wow?
- 33:01Speaker 1: Can we talk about na? Can we talk about I'm
- 33:03Speaker 1: not taking it down? Or can we tell you slftime?
- 33:08Speaker 1: Can we talk about halftime. Yeah, the platforms was way
- 33:12Speaker 1: too high. They were too highpen Now she was amazed.
- 33:18Speaker 1: She was amazed mildly. Yes, yes, beautiful. We found out
- 33:23Speaker 1: she's pregnant. Yes, you know that's what I was thinking
- 33:27Speaker 1: the whole time. She was thinking the whole time. Really, yeah,
- 33:32Speaker 1: because I saw too. Yeah, yeah, the whole time, the
- 33:35Speaker 1: whole time. Yeah, because at first when it was snapped,
- 33:38Speaker 1: I said, well, you know that's still on the baby
- 33:40Speaker 1: weight from the baby. I'm stood that ain't take away.
- 33:45Speaker 1: Now she was performing, she was fine, she was outfit,
- 33:49Speaker 1: was dope. Yeah. I love the choreography of the whole thing. Yes, yes, yes,
- 33:56Speaker 1: she was so good. Great performance, and she looked amazing.
- 34:01Speaker 1: That red just popped off the scream. I mean she
- 34:04Speaker 1: performed like what twelve or thirteen songs. She was firing
- 34:07Speaker 1: them off. Now, let me tell you something. I think
- 34:10Speaker 1: the party that where I was that these girls, these
- 34:14Speaker 1: teenage girls, my daughter and her friends, they were part
- 34:17Speaker 1: of Rihanna's navy. They were crying, screaming at the TV.
- 34:21Speaker 1: I think, just you fuck God, they screaming. All hus
- 34:24Speaker 1: songs were for word. It was going down something all
- 34:29Speaker 1: those because I don't know these music today. All those
- 34:33Speaker 1: songs were her song. Yes, yes, yes, every last there
- 34:37Speaker 1: was some major hits that I've heard other people try
- 34:40Speaker 1: to do. I didn't know it was heard. Yeah, oh
- 34:43Speaker 1: yeah yeah. Rihannaby got some hits. She had some hits.
- 34:47Speaker 1: And then she put a little makeup phone. She touched
- 34:50Speaker 1: up on makeup. It was yeah, it was cool. It
- 34:53Speaker 1: was cool, cool, cool. And what about baby face? Did
- 34:56Speaker 1: you gotta see baby face? Shirley Ralph? Ralph was amazing. Yeah,
- 35:02Speaker 1: it was amazing. Yeah, she did her thing. I loved
- 35:06Speaker 1: what she had on installed. She changed, she changed the
- 35:12Speaker 1: Negro national anthem. She changed a little bit, sped it
- 35:15Speaker 1: up just a little bit. Shirley Ralph. More theatrical. You
- 35:20Speaker 1: have to you have you side, fine louse, congratulations to
- 35:33Speaker 1: the It wasn't the two queues that was on the
- 35:36Speaker 1: Kansas City side. You wouldn't even be saying nothing because
- 35:40Speaker 1: the enemy is the office of coordinator. I'm just think
- 35:47Speaker 1: take the dog, take the loss on the field at all.
- 35:52Speaker 1: You're listening show more super Bowl talk, you guys, any
- 35:58Speaker 1: commercial standout? Steve. I'm gonna be honest with you, the
- 36:03Speaker 1: game was really good. It was okay. I thought that
- 36:06Speaker 1: I thought the commercials were subpart I think this was probably,
- 36:10Speaker 1: for me, the worst commercials I've seen for any Super Bowl.
- 36:14Speaker 1: I don't I don't think that was enough thought put
- 36:17Speaker 1: into him. I think I think I just thought they
- 36:20Speaker 1: missed the mark I didn't see. It might have been one,
- 36:23Speaker 1: but it was not memorable. Which one, like I said,
- 36:27Speaker 1: wasn't memorable? Okay? I like what about Thecale Trade babies?
- 36:31Speaker 1: I like that. I like the Trade babies. They always
- 36:35Speaker 1: have good commercials. Eat. I like the Miclobe with Serena
- 36:40Speaker 1: playing golf. Did you like that? I like that? Yeah? Yeah.
- 36:49Speaker 1: An Eminem commercials, the Eminem's h with the Maya. Did
- 36:56Speaker 1: anybody see the Wrangler commercial with the dancing animals in
- 36:59Speaker 1: the Wars with the elephants doing the moonwalk and all
- 37:02Speaker 1: that in the Big can't believe Philly lost. Damn he
- 37:08Speaker 1: back on them, He off the commercials he had paying
- 37:13Speaker 1: this morning, Steve Barby, I don't give a damn about
- 37:17Speaker 1: these commercials. I was invested in this game. Lord w
- 37:24Speaker 1: d As the morning. Frank the Barber, You are right,
- 37:27Speaker 1: Oh he has so much damn, Frank, Frank, Frankie Frank,
- 37:32Speaker 1: all right, they feel worse than me. He drew in
- 37:36Speaker 1: the people's head. Yes, he was drawing eagles. Oh anybody
- 37:40Speaker 1: checked on Kevin Hart? Oh lord, oh my god, oh man,
- 37:49Speaker 1: don't be all right, big dog, baddest dude on that
- 37:52Speaker 1: field yesterday and damn Jalen hurt. This game was not
- 37:57Speaker 1: causing Jalen hurt. This game was because of the second
- 38:01Speaker 1: half performance of the defense of the vaunted defense. No sacks,
- 38:10Speaker 1: no pressures, that that defense and the two players that
- 38:13Speaker 1: they hit the same play on opposite side of the field.
- 38:16Speaker 1: Ain't nobody to see that coming on the defensive coordinator
- 38:18Speaker 1: for the Filiegos man, because that damn Jalen played his
- 38:22Speaker 1: hard out that board right there. Bonaf so that Patrick
- 38:26Speaker 1: Mahomes played his hard out too. Both of them dead.
- 38:32Speaker 1: What happened time? What happened? You know? That red and
- 38:38Speaker 1: white that Kansas City had on has nothing to do it.
- 38:43Speaker 1: I don't care coming out. You're listening Morning Show, all right,

- 40:05Speaker 1: course black history mom and uh, you know, we just
- 40:10Speaker 1: love for you to share your black history moments with us.
- 40:13Speaker 1: So tell us more about your about your ancestors and
- 40:16Speaker 1: the civil rights moment, civil rights movement where it's so
- 40:24Speaker 1: much that was a flame. Name Corinthians, Corinthians like corinth
- 40:36Speaker 1: like in the moment took Yeah, it was twenty oh
- 40:43Speaker 1: Corinthians one first Corinthians, a second Corinthians. Tell who was
- 40:48Speaker 1: bold first because his name was first and second was second.
- 40:56Speaker 1: They stayed all a plantation over. But you know we
- 41:02Speaker 1: knew each other because we used to sneak around at
- 41:04Speaker 1: night instead of sleeping. We being the woods cooking you know,
- 41:09Speaker 1: the extra fool get better for them long hot days.
- 41:13Speaker 1: First Corinthians and Second Corinthians was friends with these girls
- 41:17Speaker 1: name Chronicles, and they used to get together all the
- 41:26Speaker 1: time and just cooking the brain food back. And you know,
- 41:30Speaker 1: that's where you come up with stuff like ham hocks
- 41:33Speaker 1: and hitting and things like that, because you know they
- 41:37Speaker 1: were throwing it away, but they knew how to make
- 41:40Speaker 1: it it have flavoring tasting. They was cooking it in
- 41:43Speaker 1: the woods, and that's how they came up with all that.
- 41:45Speaker 1: A lot of people don't know that. And then that's hot.
- 41:50Speaker 1: And then that led to us somebody going into you
- 41:52Speaker 1: some old flavor on it, and we had that was
- 41:56Speaker 1: a slave name of Frank's. His name was Franklin, and
- 42:01Speaker 1: so he hadn't been it Franklin and it wouldn't that,
- 42:04Speaker 1: it wouldn't fit on the box. So they called it
- 42:06Speaker 1: Frank's hot salt. He laid some hot salts with some
- 42:10Speaker 1: peppers and everything history okay. And then that was a
- 42:18Speaker 1: woman that needed something to eat with the chills, and
- 42:20Speaker 1: her name was Colicious, and so she came up with everything.
- 42:24Speaker 1: We started calling that coldslaw. And what's the one Colitious colicious.
- 42:35Speaker 1: But that wasn't a good name for food. That's how
- 42:38Speaker 1: we can't we call it coldslaw because you know she
- 42:41Speaker 1: had to shotten it up all the time. Yes man,
- 42:45Speaker 1: So you know these little things like that. Huh oh.
- 42:49Speaker 1: I was just saying, this is so interesting. You always
- 42:52Speaker 1: enlighten us. You know, that's what I'm here for, sweety
- 42:55Speaker 1: y'all doing Black history mon y'all, y'all might as well

- 43:16Speaker 1: you have any knowledge about how it's called me? Yes man? Yeah,
- 43:21Speaker 1: that the photo it was called P and L. What
- 43:24Speaker 1: was and L? That stairs for present? Late president? You
- 43:32Speaker 1: lay it down. You didn't want them hot ass half
- 43:34Speaker 1: rows out there when you was in the field turn
- 43:37Speaker 1: into black. We appreciate this Black History Month moment. Coming

- 44:30Speaker 1: some time in our lives. You've gotten it with it's
- 44:32Speaker 1: on a nice little stick, got the fruit on it
- 44:34Speaker 1: and all that. But this is edible fruit delivery. Cat Dog.
- 44:38Speaker 1: If you would, hello, Stories, how can I help you?
- 44:42Speaker 1: I'm trying to Chad. He's not in right now. How
- 44:45Speaker 1: can I help you? Oh? Okay, all right, well I'm
- 44:48Speaker 1: sorry man. What's your name? My name is Perkins. I
- 44:51Speaker 1: actually have a delivery, edible fruit delivery for Chad, and
- 44:56Speaker 1: I'm trying to make sure I got the address and
- 44:57Speaker 1: everything correct. Oh m, well, who's it from? I think
- 45:01Speaker 1: it's from you? You? Um, your name is? What's your
- 45:04Speaker 1: name again, Devina? I didn't order any any edible arrangements. Okay,
- 45:09Speaker 1: it's done. That definitely must be a mistake. Are you sure?
- 45:15Speaker 1: I was in? Chad ordered some edible arrangements for me.
- 45:18Speaker 1: I think that's them might make some sense. It's a chance. Okay,
- 45:22Speaker 1: here this who's who? Who sent this? Miss the reader?
- 45:28Speaker 1: The reader? Oh oh no no, no, no, no, no, no,
- 45:31Speaker 1: that's not me at all. I'm Devina and that is amazing.
- 45:35Speaker 1: Your name why she would send anything? Right, I'm Chad,
- 45:40Speaker 1: but the name that's a totally different persons. Okay, so
- 45:43Speaker 1: do you know the reader Clark? Who is there? Oh?
- 45:45Speaker 1: That's not someone I associate where personally. That's Chad's ex
- 45:49Speaker 1: wife and that doesn't make any sense for her to
- 45:51Speaker 1: be sending us to anything. So you don't. You don't
- 45:54Speaker 1: even have to. I don't think she said us. She
- 45:58Speaker 1: didn't send it. She said the chance, she didn't send
- 46:01Speaker 1: it to you. Okay, Well, I'm just gonna let you
- 46:03Speaker 1: know we don't need that delivery, so thank you. Anyway,
- 46:06Speaker 1: you can go ahead and um and you could keep
- 46:08Speaker 1: that hold on, hold on, miss um. Lets y'all say
- 46:12Speaker 1: right name, don't worry, don't don't don't worry too much
- 46:15Speaker 1: about that. If I don't make my deliveries, I don't
- 46:19Speaker 1: get paid I have to deliver these of this edible fruit. Man,
- 46:21Speaker 1: I doesn't make any sense. So now I'll just discard
- 46:24Speaker 1: it myself if you if you need to bring it.
- 46:27Speaker 1: But I'm sure I have to bring it. But let
- 46:29Speaker 1: me let me ask you something. I mean this, lady,
- 46:32Speaker 1: I mean, I'm not trying to pry into anything, but
- 46:34Speaker 1: I mean have you have you bought him anything for
- 46:36Speaker 1: a bottle? No? I haven't, but I have plenty of time.
- 46:41Speaker 1: But the eggs might them about something that don't make sense? Right?
- 46:44Speaker 1: Why why haven't you bought anything? Right? All right, I
- 46:46Speaker 1: don't think you need to worry about what I get
- 46:48Speaker 1: from my man or what I don't get from my husband.
- 46:50Speaker 1: All right, that's none of your concerns. Well is concerned
- 46:55Speaker 1: about making sure he gets something. I'm sorry, who am
- 46:57Speaker 1: I speaking to? My name is Workins, okay, and I
- 47:01Speaker 1: already told you we don't need know God delivery. I
- 47:03Speaker 1: don't need you ask me questions about what I told
- 47:05Speaker 1: you my marriage? All right. Well, I'm tired. I'm not
- 47:09Speaker 1: gonna find to fight with you on phone. Well, I'm
- 47:11Speaker 1: gonna be two fools here, argument. I'm all true, we
- 47:14Speaker 1: don't need anything? What no I need women. You don't
- 47:18Speaker 1: need to be questioning me about what I do or
- 47:20Speaker 1: don't do for my husband. That's absolutely none of your
- 47:22Speaker 1: god business. I need to know Chad is gonna be there,
- 47:26Speaker 1: so mister Chad might don't worry so much about Chad.
- 47:28Speaker 1: This is our family business, family business. I'm his wife.
- 47:32Speaker 1: Do you understand what that means? I'm his wife. I
- 47:34Speaker 1: understand it. Whatever, then his ex wife want him to
- 47:37Speaker 1: have his fruit if you want pissing me on, and
- 47:41Speaker 1: I'm not, I'm not being to become deliver nothing to
- 47:44Speaker 1: you and you're gonna throw it away. This is Chad's
- 47:47Speaker 1: fruit basket. And she did she send you? Did you
- 47:50Speaker 1: really send you? Specifically? I just want to understand what
- 47:53Speaker 1: the hell is going on because you seem really invested
- 47:56Speaker 1: in in my husband's ex wife. I don't even understand why,
- 47:59Speaker 1: but it's and piss me off. So I want some instance,
- 48:01Speaker 1: and you use the right word. You're not invested in Chad.
- 48:05Speaker 1: Why haven't you bought anything for Chad's why, perk Perkins,
- 48:09Speaker 1: I'm gonna need to speak to your guy and manager
- 48:11Speaker 1: because I'm getting real upset right now and you don't
- 48:14Speaker 1: want no problems with me, So why don't you hand
- 48:16Speaker 1: over your manager of the phone, and we're gonna settle this,
- 48:18Speaker 1: me and your manager. And I don't want to ever
- 48:20Speaker 1: see you because I don't even know what I'm gonna do.
- 48:23Speaker 1: I've been so disrespected on this phone call right now
- 48:26Speaker 1: whom I hold them indy, So why don't you pass
- 48:28Speaker 1: your manager of the phone. I'm not a friend to
- 48:29Speaker 1: put you on the phone. My manager put me on
- 48:32Speaker 1: the phone with your manage. You don't have some for me,
- 48:33Speaker 1: I'm gonna call back. I'm gonna make sure you get fife.
- 48:35Speaker 1: But disrespecting me. You're taking your anger out on the
- 48:39Speaker 1: ex wife and you're taking it out on me. The
- 48:41Speaker 1: anger that you have for her, you're taking it out
- 48:43Speaker 1: on me. That's what you're doing. No, I'm taking out
- 48:46Speaker 1: the disrespect that you keep laying on top of me,
- 48:49Speaker 1: like like you don't know how to talk to somebody.
- 48:51Speaker 1: I don't see how you have this job, Cane. You
- 48:53Speaker 1: disrespected me like this. All I'm saying is the lady
- 48:55Speaker 1: won't chad to have this proof bass in business. None
- 48:59Speaker 1: of your in business. So, like I said, give you
- 49:01Speaker 1: manager the phone, because I'm see to it that you're fired. Okay, okay,
- 49:05Speaker 1: all right, can you hold on for a minute. Yeah,
- 49:07Speaker 1: I can't hold on. Go ahead, are you time? This
- 49:10Speaker 1: is the man's wife. She don't want me to deliver
- 49:13Speaker 1: the stuff because the ex wife is who sent it
- 49:17Speaker 1: to him. Too serious. So now she got the attitude
- 49:22Speaker 1: and she cuts in at me, and I've been talking
- 49:24Speaker 1: crazy to her and I haven't the bouque's stuff in
- 49:28Speaker 1: spite for him the fruit bask I need you to
- 49:31Speaker 1: just give your manager the phone. If that's enough explaining,
- 49:33Speaker 1: I'm gonna tell him why over Hello, speaking with Liz Hi.
- 49:40Speaker 1: My name is Davina, and I need to talk to
- 49:42Speaker 1: you about your your customer service delivery person, whatever he is.
- 49:46Speaker 1: I have been so disrespected on the phone. I've never
- 49:50Speaker 1: been met with such hostility on the phone before. At
- 49:53Speaker 1: this point, I just I just want to put this
- 49:55Speaker 1: behind me. I just want you to take it. Make
- 49:57Speaker 1: sure you speak to him, penalized him as if he
- 50:00Speaker 1: understand where he just said. But I will, I will,
- 50:03Speaker 1: I will. I will definitely reprimand him for that. I
- 50:06Speaker 1: don't want him make you no delivery, not to my
- 50:08Speaker 1: not to my place of this. I'm here on Friday
- 50:10Speaker 1: all day. I don't need any delivery. Can you don't
- 50:13Speaker 1: want him to make a delivery, but can I ask
- 50:15Speaker 1: you a question? Delivery? I'm sorry, go ahead, Okay, I
- 50:18Speaker 1: can't take it. I can't take it. Listen, this is
- 50:20Speaker 1: Nephew Tommy from the Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right,
- 50:23Speaker 1: your husband Chad got me the prank phone call you.
- 50:29Speaker 1: I'm sorry what this is Nephew Tommy from Steve Harvey
- 50:36Speaker 1: Mourning Show. Your husband Chaid got me the prank phone
- 50:40Speaker 1: call you? Oh must thank god, I believe this. Are
- 50:47Speaker 1: you serious? Husband, Chad got your girl? Wow? I'm so stressed.
- 50:56Speaker 1: Let me ask you something. What's the badness? And I
- 50:57Speaker 1: mean the baddest radio show in the lane, the Steve
- 51:01Speaker 1: Harvey Morning short for show all day, every day bad
- 51:08Speaker 1: it's sitting the land baby. What we do we get
- 51:11Speaker 1: you to the edge of life and just just just
- 51:13Speaker 1: just thank you who you played too much? Damn Chad? Yeah, yeah,
- 51:22Speaker 1: you got under her skin? Yes time. That's where I
- 51:27Speaker 1: want to be, right up on the skin, right right there. Memphis, Tennessee.
- 51:32Speaker 1: The Nephew Coming to Town. The Nephew is coming to
- 51:34Speaker 1: town this week. Two shows Friday to Saturday, and that's

- 51:40Speaker 1: town Chuckles Comedy Club in Memphis, Tennessee. And if you

- 51:57Speaker 1: got Kneelee's, they got Interstate, they got commissary out there

- 52:11Speaker 1: Thursday night? On you something on Friday? Do a dance?

- 52:53Speaker 1: Nephew is moving in Marge coming up next to is
- 52:57Speaker 1: the Strawberry Letter for today. The subject is He's a
- 52:59Speaker 1: man to himself and his mama. We'll find out what
- 53:03Speaker 1: that's all about right after this. You're listening to the
- 53:06Speaker 1: Steven Show. It is time now for today's Strawberry Letter.
- 53:13Speaker 1: And if you need advice on relationships, work, sex, parenting,
- 53:16Speaker 1: and more, please submit your Strawberry Letter to Steve HARVEYFM
- 53:20Speaker 1: dot com by clicking on Submit Strawberry Letter, and we
- 53:24Speaker 1: could be reading your letter live on the air, just
- 53:27Speaker 1: like we're gonna read this one right here, right now,
- 53:31Speaker 1: and you never know, it could be yours. It could
- 53:35Speaker 1: be Buckle up and hold on tight. We got it
- 53:36Speaker 1: for you here. It is strong up Erry letter. Thank you, nephew.
- 53:40Speaker 1: Subject He's amazing to himself and his mama. Dear Stephen Shirley,
- 53:47Speaker 1: that title right, Dear Steven Shirley. I'm writing to you
- 53:51Speaker 1: because Steve gives a lot of advice that some people
- 53:53Speaker 1: take the wrong way. My husband is one of the
- 53:56Speaker 1: people that heard what Steve said, but he doesn't quite
- 53:59Speaker 1: understand stand it. I get that it's okay if you
- 54:02Speaker 1: are in your mid forties and you're still trying to
- 54:05Speaker 1: pursue your dreams, but I believe you have to be
- 54:08Speaker 1: honest with yourself. Stephen Shirley, My poor husband is only
- 54:12Speaker 1: amazing to himself and his mama. I can't even tell
- 54:17Speaker 1: you what he thinks he's good at, because his mama
- 54:20Speaker 1: listens to the show daily and she's messy enough to
- 54:23Speaker 1: tell him on me. We are both forty seven years old,
- 54:28Speaker 1: and he's never given up on his dream to become famous.
- 54:32Speaker 1: His mother asks him to perform all the time, like
- 54:35Speaker 1: he's a kid at a house party. We've been at
- 54:37Speaker 1: a restaurant and his mother will get him to perform
- 54:40Speaker 1: at our table, and she looks at him so proudly,
- 54:44Speaker 1: while I avoid eye contact with people around us because
- 54:47Speaker 1: I know they're trying not to laugh at him. The
- 54:50Speaker 1: performances are NonStop at home. If I'm cooking, he's there
- 54:55Speaker 1: entertaining me. He's also he also thinks he's amazing in
- 54:58Speaker 1: the bedroom. But that's my fault because I started lying
- 55:01Speaker 1: through him years ago about that. The fact that he
- 55:04Speaker 1: is still so very interested in being famous but clueless
- 55:08Speaker 1: about how terrible he is is an issue for me.
- 55:11Speaker 1: His mother builds him up, and she won't She would
- 55:14Speaker 1: never forgive me if I tell them how I really
- 55:18Speaker 1: feel about his so called god given talent. I think
- 55:21Speaker 1: if he pursues managing other people that do what he
- 55:25Speaker 1: wants to do, he'd find joy in that. So do
- 55:29Speaker 1: I start with his mama and make her realize he's
- 55:32Speaker 1: not getting a big break? Or should I tell him
- 55:35Speaker 1: that he doesn't need to hire another manager because he's
- 55:38Speaker 1: not talented. Should I be a dream killer? Or let
- 55:41Speaker 1: this play out? Another ten years? Wow? Another ten years?
- 55:48Speaker 1: I say, listen, you're gonna have to let this play out.
- 55:51Speaker 1: I mean, he would probably never forgive you for crushing
- 55:54Speaker 1: his dream. I mean because so many people say, never
- 55:57Speaker 1: give up on your dreams. I get you want to
- 56:00Speaker 1: be honest with him and all that you're tired of
- 56:02Speaker 1: him embarrassing himself and you. But I guarantee you he's
- 56:06Speaker 1: not going to take it well coming from you. And
- 56:09Speaker 1: when you say entertain what exactly do you mean? I mean,
- 56:12Speaker 1: is he singing? Is he dancing? Is he rapping or
- 56:15Speaker 1: trying to make people laugh? Well? What is he trying
- 56:18Speaker 1: to do? Because if he was really serious about his
- 56:20Speaker 1: entertainment career, it seems like someone in the industry would
- 56:24Speaker 1: have told him the truth by now, or there would
- 56:27Speaker 1: be some sort of buzz or something if he was good. Obviously,
- 56:31Speaker 1: his manager is just taking his money because he hasn't
- 56:34Speaker 1: gotten him any jobs and has he gone on any
- 56:36Speaker 1: auditions or anything. I mean, this is that. There is
- 56:40Speaker 1: such a thing. I'll tell you as a late bloomer,
- 56:42Speaker 1: there is that. So age doesn't necessarily have anything to
- 56:46Speaker 1: do with it. If you have real talent, the one
- 56:50Speaker 1: sure way to find out is for him to perform
- 56:52Speaker 1: for someone else besides his mom and people at the restaurant,
- 56:57Speaker 1: someone like an agent or a producer, to see if
- 57:00Speaker 1: there's anything there. His mom is not a good judge
- 57:04Speaker 1: because that's her baby, and everything he does is perfectly perfect.
- 57:07Speaker 1: That's her, you know, and if you say something about
- 57:10Speaker 1: her to her, about her to her son, you say
- 57:15Speaker 1: something about her about her son, No, you're gonna find
- 57:18Speaker 1: out how she really feels about you. That's what's gonna
- 57:20Speaker 1: happen there. So my advice to you is just a
- 57:23Speaker 1: grin and Barrett, I mean, who is he hurting anyway?
- 57:26Speaker 1: I mean, he's not really hurting you or causing you
- 57:29Speaker 1: any harm, So you know, just try to deal with
- 57:32Speaker 1: it if you can. Wifie Steve now bad time tired
- 57:39Speaker 1: of this. I got tired of it in a letter.
- 57:43Speaker 1: I know she tired of all I do was reading
- 57:47Speaker 1: a letter and I'm tired of his ass all ready.
- 57:53Speaker 1: Now what I don't want you to do? You say
- 57:58Speaker 1: in this letter that you don't her husband is amazing
- 58:01Speaker 1: to himself and his mama. Now what the troubling part
- 58:07Speaker 1: is how to let us start it? From me? I'm
- 58:10Speaker 1: writing you because Steve gills a lot of advice that
- 58:13Speaker 1: some people take the wrong weight. My husband is one
- 58:19Speaker 1: of the people that heard what Steve said, but he
- 58:22Speaker 1: doesn't quite understand it. I get that it's okay if
- 58:25Speaker 1: you and your mid parties and you still try to
- 58:27Speaker 1: pursue your dreams. But I believe you have to be
- 58:30Speaker 1: honest with yourself. Now wait a minute, hold up, So
- 58:35Speaker 1: it sounds to me like what you're trying to blame
- 58:39Speaker 1: me for your damn husband and heard me say so.
- 58:48Speaker 1: Now he owned your damn nerds, and you're trying to
- 58:53Speaker 1: put that on me. I don't know your husband. I
- 59:00Speaker 1: don't know what his professor talent seems to be. I'm
- 59:04Speaker 1: going to assume it's singing it. That's what I'm gonna
- 59:07Speaker 1: I'm assuming it is. It ain't dancing, it's singing it
- 59:11Speaker 1: he thinks he's all around performance. What that guy doing?
- 59:15Speaker 1: I said, pursue your dream. I've also said on this
- 59:19Speaker 1: show that your dreams should be attached to your guilt.
- 59:24Speaker 1: I've also said your gift is a thing that you
- 59:27Speaker 1: do absolute best with the least the mind event. But
- 59:29Speaker 1: I've said all these things thousand times on the show.
- 59:32Speaker 1: So obviously the only one thank his gift. It's what
- 59:37Speaker 1: he do best is him and his mama. That's so
- 59:41Speaker 1: when we come back, I'm gonna straighten it all out
- 59:43Speaker 1: for you. All right, thank you. See, we'll have part
- 59:47Speaker 1: two of your response coming up to today's Strawberry Letter
- 59:51Speaker 1: at twenty three minutes after be our. The subject is
- 59:54Speaker 1: He's amazing to himself and to his mama. We'll be
- 59:59Speaker 1: back right after this. You're listening, all right, Come on, Steve,
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: let's recap today's Strawberry Letter and get to your response
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: Part two. He's amazing to himself and his mama is Well,
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: that title right there is just ugly. It's ugly because
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: we've all seen this before. My baby is so smart.
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: Oh this baby. Oh look how cute this baby is.
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: That baby is mama cute? That baby is only cute
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: to the mama. Let me explain something to you, and
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: I'll get to that in a minute. Now. What you're
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: not gonna do is Steve said on the show give
- 1:00:40Speaker 1: a lot of advice. Some people take it wrong. Steve say,
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: follow your dreams even if you're in your forty I
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: dare say that, but I also said your dreams should
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: be attached to your guilt. I also said your gift
- 1:00:50Speaker 1: should be the things you do the absolute best with
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: the least amount of effort. Yep, I said all that.
- 1:00:56Speaker 1: So I don't drag no one sentence out and in
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: all the t this let about me, because I'm gonna
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: tell you right now, I'm gonna hurt your feeling because
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: I'm taking a little non forty sevue old, non talent
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: ass husband that you ain't got the carriage to tell
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: him he ain't talent. I'm gonna tell the truth to
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: him because the only one think he telling is amazing
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: to himself and his mama. I can't even tell you
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: what he thinks he good at because his mama listened
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: to the show dand she mess enough to tell him
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: on the way we both forty seven. Well, I'm gonna
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: tell you what it is. He thinks he can sing.
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: He either do singing or he do spoken words. One
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: of the two. Ain't either one of them gonna make
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: him a damn drop of money because he farty seven.
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: Ain't no new forty seven year old singer. You could
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: be a forty seven year old singer, but you got
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: to have already been out the odd. No new forty
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: seven year old singer. Nowhere, you gotta take this to
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: the church. Okay, stop all this right here. Now, we're
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: both forty seven years old, and he's never giving up
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: on his dream to become famous. That's the other problem.
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: You becoming famous is not up to you. It is
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: up to the public. It has nothing to do with
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: your wants, your talent, your gift, nothing. You become famous
- 1:02:23Speaker 1: because other people admire and want to hear from you.
- 1:02:29Speaker 1: That's how you become famous. He ain't famous yet because
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: don't nobody admire him or want to hear now one
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: of these points or none of these damn songs. Now,
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: he like a little kid, and he and his mama
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: make him perform like you had a house party's been
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: doing that since he was kids. I used it had
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: to come in there and dance for my mama and
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: him and all that. I hate it dance. I had
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: to come in there and do all types of stuff. Steve.
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: See Steve sound like that, man, you be imitating. I
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: do little imitations. I hated that, but I gonna do
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: it because I ain't want to ask what We've been
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: at a restaurant and Mama would have him performing at
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: our table. She looks at him so proudly, while while
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: I avoid our contact with people around him because I
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: know they're trying not to laugh at it. You damn
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: right what he needed to do the next time he
- 1:03:19Speaker 1: busts out singing, Quit looking at choke Mama, look your
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: ass round this restaurant, at the people that can make
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: you famous. Talk to let us say you're only amazing
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: to you and your damn mama. Start looking around this restaurant.
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: It's some people in this restaurant looking at your ass
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: like cause he lost his rabbit ass mind. Now you're
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: sitting there. He performed his nam stop at home. If
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: I'm cooking, he entertained me. Thinks he's amazing in the
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: bedroom because that's my fault. I started lying to him, Well,
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: you can change that. Just tell them the truth and
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: that will carry over into this little talent. He thinks
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: he gotten everything once you tell him, man, he not
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: in the bedroom, Oh lord lord. The fact that he's
- 1:04:04Speaker 1: still very interested in being famous but clueless about how
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: terrible he is is an issue for me. His mother
- 1:04:09Speaker 1: builds him up and would never forgive me if I
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: tell him how I really feel about his so called
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: God given talent. Well, let me ask you something. Has
- 1:04:19Speaker 1: anybody anywhere told him he can say anybody? Anybody? Damn,
- 1:04:31Speaker 1: his mama has a co worker, a sibling, his cousin, dena,
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: anybody anybody told him. He can say, do he do
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: this talent at the church? Because they let anybody say?
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: Do you see what I'm saying? You need to get
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: some other opinions. And I think if he pursues managing
- 1:04:59Speaker 1: other people that do what he wants to do, he
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: find joy in that. So do I start to tell
- 1:05:04Speaker 1: his mom and maker realize he's not getting a big break?
- 1:05:07Speaker 1: Or should I tell him he don't need to hire
- 1:05:09Speaker 1: another manager because he's not talent him? Who is these
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: managers that think he is talent. Let me tell you something.
- 1:05:18Speaker 1: Anybody can get a manager, because if you don't have talent,
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: you can find somebody that think you do. And now
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: you're really going nowhere because you didn't hide somebody that's
- 1:05:28Speaker 1: a poet, George of character in talent? Should I be
- 1:05:31Speaker 1: a dream killer? Letters? Play out another ten years? There
- 1:05:34Speaker 1: ain't no where in the hill he can take his
- 1:05:36Speaker 1: ass on Wednesday night up to the world famous Apaolo Theater.
- 1:05:39Speaker 1: They will tell you right away whether you're ass need
- 1:05:43Speaker 1: to continue in this profession or not. But it's seeming
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: to me like you need to tell you the ass
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: somewhere and puts do something else, all right? Steve Instagram
- 1:05:56Speaker 1: and Steve Harvey f then to come in on Today's
- 1:05:59Speaker 1: Struberry Letter. You can also check out the Strawberry Letter
- 1:06:01Speaker 1: podcast on demand. Coming up next to the Sports Talk
- 1:06:04Speaker 1: with Junior. Right after this you're listening, it is time
- 1:06:10Speaker 1: now for Junior and Sports Talk. Junior, what you got, Well, Shirley,
- 1:06:15Speaker 1: I'll tell you what we got. Somebody was missing over
- 1:06:17Speaker 1: the Super Bowl weekend. I know that that Michael Irvine.
- 1:06:19Speaker 1: He did not get to cover because of an allegation.
- 1:06:22Speaker 1: He has filed a hundred million dollar lawsuit against Marriott
- 1:06:26Speaker 1: man one hundred million. What happened was he exchanged pleasantries
- 1:06:30Speaker 1: with an hotel employee. She said he act inappropriately. Michael
- 1:06:33Speaker 1: went to his room, fell asleep, He didn't, was woken
- 1:06:36Speaker 1: up by security and removed from the hotel. Now people
- 1:06:40Speaker 1: said that he didn't act inappropriately, He just spoke to
- 1:06:42Speaker 1: her and then he went to his room. And now, yeah,
- 1:06:45Speaker 1: the witnesses said that. And now he had just filed
- 1:06:48Speaker 1: a hundred million I mean, he missed out uncovering the
- 1:06:51Speaker 1: super Bowl because it is one allegation. It is so
- 1:06:57Speaker 1: unfair that you just take a man's career based on
- 1:07:02Speaker 1: an accusation. So now let's say this all plays out.
- 1:07:06Speaker 1: Let's say Michael Irving is found innocent. Okay, what happened
- 1:07:11Speaker 1: to the girl that told the lie? Nothing? Nothing? She
- 1:07:16Speaker 1: just skipped to the loop. See that's why you gotta
- 1:07:18Speaker 1: change these laws, man, because it to slow down some
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: of this false accusation. And these false accusations make it
- 1:07:24Speaker 1: bad for people that this is really happening to right,
- 1:07:29Speaker 1: because now when it's really happening, you got this fake stuff.
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: And that's why it was so hard for women to
- 1:07:36Speaker 1: come out in the first place, because that they got
- 1:07:39Speaker 1: drugged through the mud so bad. Now that they've opened
- 1:07:43Speaker 1: up the culture and started reviewing this stuff, it's made
- 1:07:46Speaker 1: it more okay to come out. But then you can't
- 1:07:48Speaker 1: get us come out for no check now lying on people.
- 1:07:52Speaker 1: That's man right here, you work at the hotel. The
- 1:07:55Speaker 1: whole thing on film, they say, and he got witnesses
- 1:07:58Speaker 1: for people say he said enough. He what what I'm saying?
- 1:08:01Speaker 1: This room? You waked this man up and move him
- 1:08:03Speaker 1: out the hotel? Brother, brother, let me let me explain.
- 1:08:07Speaker 1: So the team you need to find out this this
- 1:08:10Speaker 1: this got a little bit of racist. He's got a
- 1:08:14Speaker 1: little bit of racist. I don't know. I don't know
- 1:08:18Speaker 1: the racist involved in this. The hotel management. I do
- 1:08:22Speaker 1: know Michael lass Black and bless you the post. I
- 1:08:30Speaker 1: don't know how you come up to my room and
- 1:08:33Speaker 1: make me get out. It's just crazy because they said
- 1:08:36Speaker 1: that Michael likes to speak to his fans. He just
- 1:08:38Speaker 1: speaking to people. Man. I know Michael Irvin personally and
- 1:08:41Speaker 1: he's a cool dude. I just me personally. I'm just
- 1:08:46Speaker 1: gonna be real. I don't believe it at all. I
- 1:08:48Speaker 1: just don't. And people make me sick. You know, and
- 1:08:53Speaker 1: I don't know what he could have said. You know, look, man,
- 1:08:55Speaker 1: suppose he said yeah, yeah, well you look nice tonight,
- 1:09:01Speaker 1: all right now and went on up to his rule colleges.
- 1:09:06Speaker 1: I mean, you don't even know because witnesses say nothing
- 1:09:09Speaker 1: half all right, all right, thank you, Junior, Thank you, Steve.
- 1:09:13Speaker 1: Coming up at the top of the hour, interess Elba
- 1:09:16Speaker 1: says he wants to stop being labeled as a black actor.
- 1:09:20Speaker 1: We'll talk about it right after this. You're listening to
- 1:09:23Speaker 1: show well. During an interview with Esquire UK, actor interess
- 1:09:30Speaker 1: Elba spoke about his career and how the black actor
- 1:09:34Speaker 1: label has restricted his growth as an entertainer. He began
- 1:09:39Speaker 1: by saying, quote, as humans, we are obsessed with race,
- 1:09:42Speaker 1: and that obsession can hinder people's aspirations, hinder people's growth.
- 1:09:47Speaker 1: Racism should be a topic for discussion. Sure, racism is
- 1:09:51Speaker 1: very real, but from my perspective, it's only as powerful
- 1:09:56Speaker 1: as you allow it to be. We've got to grow
- 1:09:59Speaker 1: our skin. That's no more than that. It's just skin.
- 1:10:03Speaker 1: Idris finished up with, of course I'm a member of
- 1:10:06Speaker 1: the black community. If we spend half the time not
- 1:10:09Speaker 1: talking about the differences between but the similarities between us
- 1:10:13Speaker 1: the entire planet would have a shift in the way
- 1:10:15Speaker 1: we deal with each other. Powerful statements, powerful statements. So
- 1:10:20Speaker 1: here's a question. Do you think Hollywood would ever stop
- 1:10:24Speaker 1: the race and color situation? Are they ever gonna stop
- 1:10:27Speaker 1: seeing race and color when they cast actors from movies? No, No,
- 1:10:33Speaker 1: we need a black actor. I'll tell you what I
- 1:10:37Speaker 1: do want, though, I want Adri's body because he ain't
- 1:10:39Speaker 1: using it right. You call me black actor. If I
- 1:10:42Speaker 1: look like him, I don't give a damn. I'd be
- 1:10:44Speaker 1: all of that if you looked like him. Yeah, all
- 1:10:49Speaker 1: these women screaming over you, you black actor. Well you
- 1:10:54Speaker 1: know he's okay. I understand exactly where he's coming from,
- 1:10:59Speaker 1: because for see racey and as long as you mean
- 1:11:03Speaker 1: like when George Lucas, I think that's his name, the
- 1:11:07Speaker 1: director of Jurassic Park and all of that stuff, Star Wars,
- 1:11:11Speaker 1: Star Wars Stars, whoever, whoever hired the little black girl
- 1:11:16Speaker 1: to become the daughter in one of those movies that
- 1:11:19Speaker 1: I did not see. But she was the daughter and
- 1:11:22Speaker 1: she just happened to be black, and they put in
- 1:11:24Speaker 1: the movie as one of the children and never mentioned it.
- 1:11:28Speaker 1: She was the daughter of the parents in this one
- 1:11:31Speaker 1: of the moot Spielberg Spielberg exactly, and and and then
- 1:11:37Speaker 1: for him to do something like that and not mention
- 1:11:40Speaker 1: her color. For them to make something like that hit
- 1:11:43Speaker 1: series Bridgeton and put black people in it and never
- 1:11:47Speaker 1: mentioned their color, That's what DRIs Elba is talking about.
- 1:11:51Speaker 1: And that's why I watched Bridgerton because I was amazed
- 1:11:56Speaker 1: how they never mentioned that these people was black, and
- 1:11:58Speaker 1: I kept waiting on them. The queen was black. Oh man,
- 1:12:03Speaker 1: this is so dope, and I enjoyed it so much,
- 1:12:08Speaker 1: But because of my age and where I'm from, I
- 1:12:12Speaker 1: kept waiting on the racial implications. How they with that
- 1:12:17Speaker 1: nag out They never mentioned it? And the dude was
- 1:12:22Speaker 1: super fly. Yeah, yeah, it was created by a black woman.
- 1:12:28Speaker 1: But see, and she made them do the part and
- 1:12:31Speaker 1: didn't mention race. That's what talking about. And I understand
- 1:12:36Speaker 1: I feel the same way, but I'm constantly labeled. It's
- 1:12:40Speaker 1: gotten better sometimes because you know, look, I've been like
- 1:12:45Speaker 1: the first first black host of Miss Universe, first black
- 1:12:50Speaker 1: you know, game show host, first black No no no.
- 1:12:55Speaker 1: But I've always wanted to just be accepted and I
- 1:12:59Speaker 1: wanted to be paid the same way. I don't give
- 1:13:01Speaker 1: a damn what you call me. I want the same pay.
- 1:13:05Speaker 1: And I'm gonna tell you right now, that's not the
- 1:13:07Speaker 1: way it works. That's not how it works. It's getting better,
- 1:13:14Speaker 1: but I'm telling you right now, that's not how it works.
- 1:13:19Speaker 1: It doesn't work that way in radio either. Oh, we
- 1:13:25Speaker 1: are a black radio show, and I don't care how
- 1:13:28Speaker 1: we try to shake it. Yeah, because we play adult contemporary.
- 1:13:33Speaker 1: That's black music. They don't call white music adult contemporary.
- 1:13:38Speaker 1: They call black music adult contemporary. White music is they
- 1:13:42Speaker 1: don't call it white music. The music, yeah contemporary. Black
- 1:13:47Speaker 1: caller said, we're urban ac and they a c That's
- 1:13:52Speaker 1: why Shane didn't get the airplay they did, should have
- 1:13:56Speaker 1: got across. Yeah, we could go on and on and
- 1:14:01Speaker 1: on about this subject, and we're gonna move on though.
- 1:14:04Speaker 1: Coming up at twenty minutes after the hour, we'll have
- 1:14:06Speaker 1: more of the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Right after this.
- 1:14:10Speaker 1: You're listening to Save Harvey Morning Show. We have to
- 1:14:15Speaker 1: say congratulations to coach Autumn Lockwood. Coach Adam Lockwood is
- 1:14:20Speaker 1: the first black female coach to coach in the Super Bowl.
- 1:14:26Speaker 1: Lockwood made history last night as the Philadelphia Eagles Assistant
- 1:14:30Speaker 1: sports performance coach. Autumn is a graduate of the University
- 1:14:34Speaker 1: of Arizona, where she was a star soccer player. She
- 1:14:37Speaker 1: worked at the University of Houston, East Tennessee State University UNLV,
- 1:14:42Speaker 1: and with the Atlanta Falcons before going to the Eagles
- 1:14:45Speaker 1: in August of twenty twenty two. A sports performance coach.
- 1:14:49Speaker 1: By the way, because I did not know this helps
- 1:14:52Speaker 1: athletes optimize their abilities through a unique approach to training.
- 1:14:56Speaker 1: So she has a great job working with all the players.
- 1:15:00Speaker 1: So congratulations to coach Autumn Lockwood. Yeah, a little black
- 1:15:05Speaker 1: girl magic night coaching at the Super Bowl. Yes, Coach Lockwood,
- 1:15:13Speaker 1: sports performance coach. I didn't even know there was such
- 1:15:16Speaker 1: a thing, did you Guys? No, I didn't know. Yeah
- 1:15:22Speaker 1: you did, Steve, Yeah, that's yeah. We need more we
- 1:15:28Speaker 1: need and they got stripth training coaches, speed coaches. M hmm.
- 1:15:34Speaker 1: That's deep though. Sister got that job. She knows. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:15:38Speaker 1: I love that love qualified. Congratulations h absolutely all right.
- 1:15:46Speaker 1: We'll have more of the Steve Harvey Morning Show coming

- 1:15:51Speaker 1: play a round of would you rather right after this.
- 1:15:55Speaker 1: You're listening to the sty show. It is time now
- 1:15:59Speaker 1: for wood. Would you rather? Would you rather have a
- 1:16:02Speaker 1: mansion with no indoor toilet or just a tiny home
- 1:16:08Speaker 1: with an indoor toilet, simple going outside. Yeah, we're gonna
- 1:16:15Speaker 1: go that tiny as house. Ain't gonna get it. But
- 1:16:17Speaker 1: I'm going with that man pee all outside all that time.
- 1:16:22Speaker 1: Right now. What the maid's gonna need a moping bucket
- 1:16:27Speaker 1: in one of these rooms. You got a maid but
- 1:16:30Speaker 1: no indoor toilet. Yeah, you just said you want to mansion.
- 1:16:34Speaker 1: Somebody's been to clean this up. I'm not going outside.
- 1:16:37Speaker 1: You're not gonna do the tiny hole. You're gonna do
- 1:16:39Speaker 1: the tiny hole. I'm not living no damn tiny hole.
- 1:16:44Speaker 1: That's that set back to me. Do that all right?
- 1:16:51Speaker 1: Would you rather wear sneakers without socks or would you
- 1:16:54Speaker 1: rather wear a suit without a shirt because without sick?
- 1:16:59Speaker 1: I got that on right now. I got on some
- 1:17:02Speaker 1: golf shoes right now with no socks. Listen, right, I
- 1:17:10Speaker 1: got on golf shoes right now with no socks. I
- 1:17:12Speaker 1: put sneakers on with no socks all the time. You
- 1:17:15Speaker 1: wear no damn foot without no shirts? All right? Would
- 1:17:22Speaker 1: you rather drive through a thunderstorm or would you rather
- 1:17:25Speaker 1: drive through a snowstorm. We'll have that. Yeah, I'm in
- 1:17:33Speaker 1: that snow though, I'm deep in it. I'm deep in it.
- 1:17:38Speaker 1: I'm oh you are? Oh yeah, yeah, snowstorm ice alright,
- 1:17:46Speaker 1: it ain't lightening, all right? Would you rather be two

- 1:18:05Speaker 1: my friend. Yeah, I go, I been, I've been fifteen

- 1:18:23Speaker 1: of either. I gotta take the fifteen. Y'all was too
- 1:18:27Speaker 1: your so that'd be so funny to me, sty y'all

- 1:19:03Speaker 1: forty nine minutes after the hour. It is our last
- 1:19:05Speaker 1: break of the day, and of course we'll close out
- 1:19:08Speaker 1: the show with closing remarks from the one and a
- 1:19:11Speaker 1: least Steve Harvey. Right after this. You're listening. All right, guys,
- 1:19:17Speaker 1: it is time now for our last break of the
- 1:19:20Speaker 1: day on this Monday after the Super Bowl. Are they
- 1:19:23Speaker 1: trying to make this a national holiday? We talked about
- 1:19:26Speaker 1: that last week. That would be nice. Yeah, what are
- 1:19:33Speaker 1: you gonna pass it? Yeah? All right, Steve, it is
- 1:19:39Speaker 1: time now. Oh did you want to say a few
- 1:19:40Speaker 1: words about Elevate You. Well, you know, I want everybody
- 1:19:45Speaker 1: to give it a try because it's working for so
- 1:19:48Speaker 1: many people. Yeah, these are not false claims. We're making
- 1:19:53Speaker 1: no false accusations. It's a natural product. Everything in it
- 1:19:57Speaker 1: is good for your natural It is exactly what it
- 1:20:01Speaker 1: says is gonna do, and it's working for a lot
- 1:20:03Speaker 1: of people. It's called Elevate You. It's a green drink.
- 1:20:06Speaker 1: You all. You have to supply your body nutrients at
- 1:20:11Speaker 1: this cellular level, and that's what greens do. The problem
- 1:20:17Speaker 1: I was having with greens was I never found a
- 1:20:19Speaker 1: green drink I liked that. I couldn't gag it down
- 1:20:21Speaker 1: every day. So I went to a company and I
- 1:20:23Speaker 1: had it. You gotta make this thing taste good. They
- 1:20:26Speaker 1: gave me three flavors, original tart, cherry, and chocolate, and
- 1:20:30Speaker 1: I'll be dog gone. They did it. I don't miss
- 1:20:32Speaker 1: a day. I drink it daily. My energy is up.
- 1:20:36Speaker 1: I have the energy to work out more. I have
- 1:20:38Speaker 1: the energy to be more, you know, full of vitality
- 1:20:41Speaker 1: or my job and my digestive track is working a
- 1:20:44Speaker 1: lot better. I recommend it. Man, go to elevate you
- 1:20:48Speaker 1: dot com. That's l e vat. It starts with an
- 1:20:53Speaker 1: L and ends with an E. Elevate you dot com
- 1:20:56Speaker 1: and check it out for yourself. Now, I'm gonna give
- 1:20:59Speaker 1: you something to elevate yourself phone. I got a close
- 1:21:02Speaker 1: and remark today. This is going to be helpful for
- 1:21:04Speaker 1: a lot of people because it's about success. Now, success
- 1:21:08Speaker 1: has to be determined by each individual. My success is
- 1:21:13Speaker 1: not yours. Yours is not mine. Denzel's doesn't belong to me,
- 1:21:17Speaker 1: Oprah's tylers, that's their success. A lot of times, man,
- 1:21:22Speaker 1: we get messed up because we're looking at other people's
- 1:21:24Speaker 1: success and we want just that. But the problem with
- 1:21:28Speaker 1: it is that's not your life. That's not your path,
- 1:21:32Speaker 1: that's not your calling, that's not your mission. So get
- 1:21:37Speaker 1: on your path and your mission to success, and just
- 1:21:40Speaker 1: understand that success is when you're accomplishing worthy dreams. If
- 1:21:47Speaker 1: you've always wanted to be a teacher, that's success. If
- 1:21:50Speaker 1: you've always wanted to be a mother and stay home
- 1:21:54Speaker 1: and raise a family, that's success. If you've always wanted
- 1:22:00Speaker 1: to be a driver, that's success. You don't have to
- 1:22:06Speaker 1: own the company to be considered successful. No, there are
- 1:22:11Speaker 1: a lot of jobs people have that they are successes
- 1:22:14Speaker 1: on it. But I want you to understand something about
- 1:22:17Speaker 1: this success. It comes with something because it's layers to
- 1:22:21Speaker 1: your success. You know, they don't. There's some layers to
- 1:22:27Speaker 1: this success that don't nobody know but you. So for
- 1:22:30Speaker 1: those of you that are reaching levels and people calling
- 1:22:33Speaker 1: you lucky and all like this, luck is when hard
- 1:22:36Speaker 1: work bumps up into opportunity. That's what luck is. There
- 1:22:39Speaker 1: ain't no such a thing as luck. And then you
- 1:22:42Speaker 1: got God that comes in and puts this thing on
- 1:22:44Speaker 1: you call grace and favor and Lord have mercy. I'd
- 1:22:47Speaker 1: rather have that than anything, you know, I'd rather have
- 1:22:49Speaker 1: that than skill, because it's grace and favor is unmerited.
- 1:22:53Speaker 1: You can't earn it. It's just he just gives it
- 1:22:56Speaker 1: out randomly and it might seem unfair to you, but
- 1:23:00Speaker 1: he didn't give it to you. He gave it to them.
- 1:23:02Speaker 1: But he has given you a lot of grace in
- 1:23:04Speaker 1: favor too. So when people are talking to you about
- 1:23:09Speaker 1: your success, they don't know all the levels like you know.
- 1:23:13Speaker 1: That's why when you have success sometimes you get emotional
- 1:23:16Speaker 1: about it. Sometimes your success breaks you down, make you cry.
- 1:23:21Speaker 1: You know why, because when people see your success, they
- 1:23:26Speaker 1: only have the information that's available to them. That's all
- 1:23:31Speaker 1: they have. Oh, so you got that job, so now
- 1:23:35Speaker 1: you this and you that. Oh so you got a
- 1:23:37Speaker 1: TV show, so now you this, and you that. Oh
- 1:23:40Speaker 1: you got that promotion, so now you got this and that.
- 1:23:43Speaker 1: That's all they see. They don't know the layers. That's
- 1:23:47Speaker 1: the information they got. So for them, it's easily explained.
- 1:23:52Speaker 1: As a matter of fact, it appears to be rather
- 1:23:55Speaker 1: obvious and easily explain to them. Well, their life is
- 1:23:59Speaker 1: like that because they got that TV show. All their
- 1:24:01Speaker 1: life is like that, because they got that promotion. All
- 1:24:04Speaker 1: their life is like that. Because she married him. All
- 1:24:06Speaker 1: their life is like that because he married her. Oh
- 1:24:09Speaker 1: he married she got that, because they life is this.
- 1:24:11Speaker 1: Oh no, no, no, see they explained in a way
- 1:24:16Speaker 1: so obviously and so easily explain. But you has been
- 1:24:21Speaker 1: on the journey and the trip. You know that it's
- 1:24:24Speaker 1: anything but obvious and easily explained, because it wasn't easy,
- 1:24:30Speaker 1: and it wasn't rather obvious because they don't know the layers.
- 1:24:34Speaker 1: It's anything but obvious, and then ain't easily explained at all,
- 1:24:39Speaker 1: because success is hard. It's really hard. Don't nobody know
- 1:24:44Speaker 1: what you got to put into raising your children. Don't
- 1:24:47Speaker 1: nobody know what you got to put into that child
- 1:24:50Speaker 1: making it to college. Don't nobody know what you got
- 1:24:54Speaker 1: to do just to get out of bed every morning
- 1:24:57Speaker 1: to go down there to drive. Don't know? Oh, body
- 1:25:00Speaker 1: know how many times you got told no down at
- 1:25:04Speaker 1: the bank. Don't nobody know how many times you got
- 1:25:08Speaker 1: told no before you got your promotion. Don't nobody know
- 1:25:12Speaker 1: that repute. So don't expect them to understand, because to
- 1:25:17Speaker 1: them it will always be rather obviously and easily explains.
- 1:25:23Speaker 1: But you keep on crying and letting them tears flow
- 1:25:25Speaker 1: because you know the whole and nothing but so help
- 1:25:30Speaker 1: you God know that. So when people explain to you
- 1:25:33Speaker 1: your success as lucky, don't even pay them no tension
