- 0:00Speaker 1: Today's show is pre recorded. Y'all know what time y'all
- 0:05Speaker 1: don't know y'all have a suit all looking back to
- 0:12Speaker 1: back down, giving them like amazing things and it's not
- 0:19Speaker 1: doing me true good Steve to forty, don't join me.
- 0:58Speaker 1: You gotta use that turn. You gotta turn to turn
- 1:41Speaker 1: them out, turning, got to turn out to turn turn
- 1:46Speaker 1: the water the water. Y'all, come come on your bad
- 2:02Speaker 1: I show will good morning everybody you are listening to
- 2:05Speaker 1: the voice, Come on dig me naw one and only
- 2:08Speaker 1: Steve Harvey got a radio show. Man, oh man, oh man.
- 2:15Speaker 1: You know what y'all. I mean, really, the goodness of
- 2:18Speaker 1: God is overwhelming if you think about it, I mean
- 2:22Speaker 1: really really think about it, even when your circumstance doesn't
- 2:28Speaker 1: look so bright, even when you're going through something that's
- 2:31Speaker 1: causing you discomfort, pain, even in that God's goodness is
- 2:39Speaker 1: actually overwhelming because don't forget why you're going through this moment.
- 2:46Speaker 1: First of all, this too shall pass, but also secondly,
- 2:49Speaker 1: remember man, ain't everything else that you've gone through that
- 2:54Speaker 1: seems so insurmountable at the time, didn't you get past
- 2:58Speaker 1: that too? I mean, it's amazing if you really think
- 3:03Speaker 1: about it. You don't get stuck on any one issue
- 3:07Speaker 1: your whole life. The only people that get stuck on
- 3:10Speaker 1: an issue they whole life is people who won't let
- 3:13Speaker 1: it go. That's really all it is. That are people
- 3:17Speaker 1: who exist, and you may be one of them. Oh please, No,
- 3:21Speaker 1: I've been guilty of it myself before. But I learned
- 3:25Speaker 1: something that are things in my past that I just
- 3:28Speaker 1: would not let go of. It was done, it was
- 3:32Speaker 1: over with, I was past it, but I would not
- 3:36Speaker 1: let go of it. It was over. The dude that
- 3:40Speaker 1: did it to me didn't exist no more. The problem
- 3:43Speaker 1: that it created didn't exist no more. The only problem
- 3:45Speaker 1: that kept hanging on was I would not let it go.
- 3:50Speaker 1: And man, you can't go forward if you're gonna keep
- 3:54Speaker 1: looking in the past. It's an impossible thing. It's like
- 3:59Speaker 1: driving a car. If you keep looking only in the
- 4:02Speaker 1: rearview mirror while you're driving, you're going to crash pretty soon.
- 4:07Speaker 1: And a lot of people just keep crashing over and
- 4:10Speaker 1: over and over and over because you won't drive your
- 4:14Speaker 1: car you keep looking in the rearview mirror at to pass.
- 4:18Speaker 1: Oh woe is me? Oh you know they did me
- 4:21Speaker 1: like that? You know I ain't been the same since
- 4:23Speaker 1: he cheated on me. Oh man, ever since she stole
- 4:26Speaker 1: my money, I ain't been the same man. She played
- 4:30Speaker 1: me and ever since that out and treated women differently.
- 4:33Speaker 1: You may have some deeper stuff going on, like but eventually,
- 4:36Speaker 1: guess what, do you understand that when you have relationship
- 4:40Speaker 1: God with God, you can take that to him too
- 4:43Speaker 1: and drop it off and leave it there. Do you
- 4:47Speaker 1: know that he can fix and heal that. Maybe it's
- 4:51Speaker 1: something serious like that that you need fixing or healing from,
- 4:54Speaker 1: a relationship with God can fix and heal that. But man,
- 5:00Speaker 1: come on, y'all, whatever it is, and I'm not trying
- 5:03Speaker 1: to downplay it or make it act like it wasn't
- 5:06Speaker 1: traumatic in your life, because oh God, you don't want
- 5:09Speaker 1: to you know, you don't want nobody do that to
- 5:10Speaker 1: you because you want to be the you know, the
- 5:13Speaker 1: post to child for misery. So please don't let me
- 5:17Speaker 1: take that from you. If that's your position, that's your
- 5:20Speaker 1: Hall of Fame card. You hanging on too, I'm the
- 5:23Speaker 1: post to child for misery. Oh no, one is more
- 5:27Speaker 1: woe than me. Then please don't let Steve try to
- 5:30Speaker 1: take that from you. Go ahead and hang on to that.
- 5:33Speaker 1: But let me tell you something though. If that's what
- 5:35Speaker 1: you're gonna hang on to, that's what you're gonna always
- 5:38Speaker 1: be the post child for misery. At one point in time,
- 5:41Speaker 1: you're gonna have to get on the move past it.
- 5:44Speaker 1: You can sometimes, man, it's merely a simple thing of
- 5:47Speaker 1: taking it to God and leaving it there. You know,
- 5:50Speaker 1: some people don't have money for therapy. Some people don't
- 5:53Speaker 1: even know who to call for therapy. God is the
- 5:57Speaker 1: best psychologist in the world. He can fix it for you.
- 6:01Speaker 1: There is nothing too hard for God. You know, when
- 6:04Speaker 1: something seems impossible, y'all, God does the impossible all the
- 6:09Speaker 1: time every day. You don't know how I know. I
- 6:12Speaker 1: just look at a couple of basic things. Do you
- 6:15Speaker 1: know that that sun comes up every day in the morning.
- 6:17Speaker 1: It comes up in the east and it sets in
- 6:19Speaker 1: the west. You can't do nothing about that. All you
- 6:23Speaker 1: can wish because you plant your flowers on a certain
- 6:26Speaker 1: side of your house. You can wish, y'all all you want.
- 6:29Speaker 1: Then maybe one day he would bring it up out
- 6:31Speaker 1: the northwest so those flowers would nap. Now it's gonna
- 6:34Speaker 1: come up out the ease, and once the sun hits
- 6:38Speaker 1: the horizon. When you look in the water, like if
- 6:40Speaker 1: you ever out in la and you see the sun
- 6:42Speaker 1: going down. Once the sun once you can visually see
- 6:45Speaker 1: the sun touching the horizon, you have three minutes. You
- 6:50Speaker 1: have exactly three minutes. You can sit there with your watch.
- 6:52Speaker 1: You can time you're three minutes and it's gone. Three minutes.
- 6:57Speaker 1: It's gone. I read that somewhere and then I went
- 7:00Speaker 1: and tried it. It's gone every day if if it's
- 7:04Speaker 1: clear enough, not cloudy. Once the sun touches the horizon
- 7:08Speaker 1: on water, you got three minutes. When the wind blows,
- 7:12Speaker 1: you can't do nothing about it. He can bring it
- 7:15Speaker 1: from the northeast, he can bring him from the west,
- 7:16Speaker 1: he can bring from the south. He can bring it hard,
- 7:19Speaker 1: he can bring it cool, he can bring it hot.
- 7:21Speaker 1: It's certain things that God, God does the impossible all
- 7:24Speaker 1: the time. How those stars sitting up there? How how
- 7:28Speaker 1: can you find these constellations? The Big Dipper, a little
- 7:31Speaker 1: dip of Ryan the Hunter. Oh that's God's got nothing
- 7:34Speaker 1: you can do about it. You can't reach them stars,
- 7:37Speaker 1: you can't shoot at them, you can't move them out
- 7:39Speaker 1: the way, or Ryan the Hunter's belt is gonna beat
- 7:41Speaker 1: them three stars out of angle. You can, you can,
- 7:43Speaker 1: you can call it what you want to call. It's
- 7:45Speaker 1: still that's what it is. See, He does the impossible
- 7:47Speaker 1: all the time. He created heaven and earth. You're saying
- 7:52Speaker 1: that God can't get you through your past. Somebody did
- 7:56Speaker 1: this to me. It's the worst thing I had, the
- 7:58Speaker 1: worst childhood of anybody. God can't get you pass that.
- 8:02Speaker 1: He can move heaven, mountains, Earth, he can form the
- 8:06Speaker 1: Grand Canyon, he can make the water come over Niagara
- 8:09Speaker 1: Falls twenty four seven. He can't fix your little bitty
- 8:14Speaker 1: pass yours. It's amazing how people make their problems bigger
- 8:19Speaker 1: than God. Somebody told me one time, stop telling God
- 8:24Speaker 1: how big your problems are, and start telling your problems
- 8:29Speaker 1: how big God is, and go on with your life.
- 8:33Speaker 1: Quit driving your car looking in the rear view mirror.
- 8:37Speaker 1: Ain't nothing back there but your pass. And if it
- 8:40Speaker 1: was hurtful or painful, or something you just felt like
- 8:43Speaker 1: you can't get over, take your problems to God and
- 8:46Speaker 1: leave them there. You hear the old spiritual all you've
- 8:48Speaker 1: heard it, take your burdens to the Lord, leave them
- 8:52Speaker 1: yet all time. But you think that applies to everyone.
- 8:55Speaker 1: But you come on, man, and a lot of people
- 8:59Speaker 1: out there going much worse than you have and have
- 9:02Speaker 1: overcome it all. Why won't you take the step to
- 9:05Speaker 1: overcome your pass so you can get on with driving
- 9:08Speaker 1: your car. See what God trying to take you. But
- 9:10Speaker 1: it's a trick of the enemy. The enemy tricks you
- 9:14Speaker 1: from seeing your future by having you constantly looking in
- 9:17Speaker 1: your pass. Man, it's a trick of the devil. If
- 9:20Speaker 1: the devil just lets you quit, if he would just
- 9:23Speaker 1: let you get to driving your car, look out into
- 9:26Speaker 1: your future. Your future shows hopefulness. You have hope when
- 9:31Speaker 1: you see the future. But he can keep you in
- 9:34Speaker 1: misery if he keep you looking at your miserable pass.
- 9:38Speaker 1: God looking for you, man, God would love to hear
- 9:41Speaker 1: from you. Let's spend some time talking to God today. Hey,
- 9:45Speaker 1: God was having it. It's me. I know I ain't
- 9:48Speaker 1: talk to you in a while, but feel bad about that.
- 9:51Speaker 1: But I need you. He know that. Everybody should say
- 9:55Speaker 1: that prayer all the time. It's cool. All right, morning show.
- 10:02Speaker 1: We gotta get it together because this is today. We
- 10:05Speaker 1: got to get it together. We got started to win.
- 10:08Speaker 1: We got to get it together. We are here. We
- 10:10Speaker 1: got to get it together. We don't have no field.
- 10:13Speaker 1: We gotta get it together. We're gonna do our thing.
- 10:15Speaker 1: We're gonna do our game. We're gonna do our thing.
- 10:18Speaker 1: We gotta get it together. We're gonna do our thing.
- 10:21Speaker 1: Come on, y'all, let's do this thing. Steve Arb'm on
- 10:24Speaker 1: the show about on radio. There are show on the radio.
- 10:28Speaker 1: Hard on the show on the radio. Come on, let's
- 10:33Speaker 1: get the ray and do your thing. I always knew
- 10:36Speaker 1: this food. This fool here, just go with me. I've
- 10:40Speaker 1: never seen anybody encouraged ignorance more than him. As soon
- 10:46Speaker 1: as he hid. Come on, come on and just with it.
- 10:50Speaker 1: Many ladies and gentlemen. Sherley's good morning. I don't know
- 10:57Speaker 1: whether they came for about Stead, don't ladies. Littleman caller Pharrell,
- 11:03Speaker 1: that's your boy over there, Jay, Good morning crew. Here
- 11:07Speaker 1: he comes the youngest number Kill Spakes Junior. Y'all. Everybody
- 11:12Speaker 1: need to ride it down. Care what you doing? Go
- 11:15Speaker 1: back like Caillac seats nineteen eighty six to be exact. Nicks, Bloomington, Indiana.
- 11:26Speaker 1: I met the first black headlineer ever in the history
- 11:30Speaker 1: of comedy. I'd never seen him. It wasn't number three
- 11:33Speaker 1: of them, it was him. George Wallace and Byron Allen.
- 11:37Speaker 1: That was it, that were no more blacks headlining comedy
- 11:42Speaker 1: clubs in the nation, Ladies and Gentlemen. One of the three,
- 11:48Speaker 1: j Anthony Brown. We gotta get it to get up coming? Yeah,
- 11:59Speaker 1: can a planch Nephew, Tommy Top Top. I'm in West Palm.
- 12:04Speaker 1: That's why I'm That's where I'm at s. Do you know, man,
- 12:08Speaker 1: that's real history that in nineteen eighty five eighty six
- 12:13Speaker 1: there were three black headliners on the comedy socer. It's
- 12:18Speaker 1: just j. Anthony Brown was one of them along. Yeah,
- 12:26Speaker 1: sim Man was after that, Anthony Brown. It was it was.
- 12:36Speaker 1: It was Brian Allen and George Wallace. That was it.
- 12:38Speaker 1: When I saw George Wallace at Hilarities, I went, oh
- 12:41Speaker 1: my god, Oh my god. He just talked about people.
- 12:49Speaker 1: He came out and said, yeah, hey, look, I ain't
- 12:53Speaker 1: like everybody else asking y'all how y'all doing. I don't
- 12:56Speaker 1: give up la, how y'all doing? Y'all paid to see me,
- 13:05Speaker 1: asked me how I'm doing right here? That was the
- 13:10Speaker 1: first two minutes. No, that was his opening line that
- 13:15Speaker 1: everybody talking about how y'all doing? I don't blank how y'all.
- 13:23Speaker 1: Ask y'all then y'all paid to see me? All right,
- 13:33Speaker 1: thank you for that trip down memory lane. Comedy memory Lane.
- 13:37Speaker 1: Steve coming up at thirty two minutes after the hour,
- 13:39Speaker 1: asked the CLLO. Right after this, you're listening to the
- 13:43Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, guys, time now for
- 13:47Speaker 1: ask the CLLO Chief Love Officer Steve Harvey in the building.
- 13:50Speaker 1: Here we go. This one is from Rita in Alabama,
- 13:54Speaker 1: and Rita says, my divorce was final three years ago
- 13:57Speaker 1: and I'm dating a forty five year old guy I
- 13:59Speaker 1: met on a blind day. He seems sweet, but some
- 14:02Speaker 1: of the things he does makes him sing, makes him
- 14:05Speaker 1: look stalkrish. He calls morning, noon, and night just to
- 14:09Speaker 1: check on me. He asked a lot of questions about
- 14:12Speaker 1: my ex husband and said he was going to pay
- 14:15Speaker 1: him a visit. I thought he was joking, but he
- 14:19Speaker 1: really went to my husband's job to tell him I
- 14:23Speaker 1: was his woman. Now. My ex husband was laughing when
- 14:26Speaker 1: he called to tell me this. He said, my man's
- 14:29Speaker 1: a lunatic? Is he really kind? Yeah? I don't. I
- 14:35Speaker 1: don't know what They're going to the job for the
- 14:37Speaker 1: announcement world right, Oh you know, just my woman. Now
- 14:42Speaker 1: I'm gonna pay him a visit. Um, yeah, now to
- 14:47Speaker 1: call in morning, noon, and night. I don't know what
- 14:49Speaker 1: y'all want. Y'all want a man that's attentive. Then when
- 14:52Speaker 1: he give you the tentiveness right here, though, the strange
- 14:55Speaker 1: part is calling your ex and going down to the job.
- 14:59Speaker 1: He could have walked dead up that. I don't know
- 15:06Speaker 1: people on the job. Anytime you go to somebody's job, job,
- 15:11Speaker 1: that's that's trouble right there. Yeah, so that's that's a
- 15:14Speaker 1: different thing. But stalker and ship may not be the
- 15:18Speaker 1: words you're looking for. You could be looking for controlling.
- 15:23Speaker 1: So I would be keep the red flag monitor out
- 15:27Speaker 1: and prepare yourself, get out. Just pay close attention. So
- 15:32Speaker 1: she told him where her ex worked. How do you
- 15:34Speaker 1: phrase that? Yeah, well, you know when you call morning, noon,
- 15:38Speaker 1: and night covers a lot of information. And look at
- 15:45Speaker 1: the window. Now see if these out there right now
- 15:49Speaker 1: during that early ja right now. All right, this is
- 15:57Speaker 1: from Mayanna and Charlotte. As we move on, Miyana says,
- 16:03Speaker 1: my son is nineteen years old and his girlfriend is
- 16:06Speaker 1: eighteen years old. He asked if his girlfriend can move
- 16:09Speaker 1: in with us since her dad has to take a
- 16:11Speaker 1: job in another state. I'm a single mom and I
- 16:14Speaker 1: can't watch them twenty four to seven, but my mother
- 16:17Speaker 1: said she'd be able to come over when I'm working.
- 16:20Speaker 1: I also told the girl she'd have to sleep in
- 16:23Speaker 1: my room because I don't want my son to give
- 16:25Speaker 1: up his room. My son says, I'm overthinking it. Are
- 16:28Speaker 1: they old enough to be left alone? Oh no, lady,
- 16:35Speaker 1: Why you think he asked you? Can she move in?
- 16:39Speaker 1: They know what to do when they alone. They didn't
- 16:42Speaker 1: get alone. What are you talking about? Are they old
- 16:45Speaker 1: enough to be alone? They've been alone. That's why she's
- 16:48Speaker 1: trying to get her to move in. Your mama says
- 16:51Speaker 1: she gonna come over there when you at work and
- 16:53Speaker 1: do what. She gonna go to sleep? What are you
- 16:58Speaker 1: talking about, grandmama? Nap, that's grand mama coming over there
- 17:03Speaker 1: to go to sleep. Look, I can't tell you what
- 17:06Speaker 1: to do, because look, you can let people in your
- 17:09Speaker 1: house if you want to. But your son and his
- 17:12Speaker 1: girlfriend are in a full blown relationship and they're doing
- 17:16Speaker 1: everything that anybody else does in the relationship. Now, and
- 17:20Speaker 1: you're talking about she gonna have to sleep in your room?
- 17:23Speaker 1: And your son say you overthinking it. What nineteen year
- 17:27Speaker 1: old boy can give me instructions? And now house? Now
- 17:34Speaker 1: they tired of doing it in the caff they've been
- 17:36Speaker 1: doing it all right, there we go, moving on, all right?
- 17:42Speaker 1: Ann and so wait, so bad move to have her
- 17:45Speaker 1: move in? Is what you're saying. I mean, I'm not
- 17:47Speaker 1: saying that because you're considering it. But this foolishness about
- 17:53Speaker 1: somebody gonna be over here while I'm at work. For
- 17:55Speaker 1: what theyre nineteen and eighteen, that's college age. They gonna
- 17:59Speaker 1: they should be gone anyway if they in a dormitory,
- 18:03Speaker 1: canobiny watch them? That's too baby baby? Oh yeah yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 18:08Speaker 1: yeah yeah. You can forget the babysitting there because they
- 18:10Speaker 1: do all what they want to do. Daddy, yeah, absolutely,
- 18:16Speaker 1: your gonna be a daddy now yeah? Moving on? Oh wow.
- 18:21Speaker 1: And in Minnesota, rites, I'm a fifty three year old
- 18:24Speaker 1: healthcare worker and after work I entertain wealthy clientele in
- 18:28Speaker 1: a speakeasy. It's a new thing in my area. And
- 18:31Speaker 1: the men come for cigars, scotch and peace of mind.
- 18:35Speaker 1: I serve drinks, compliments, backrubs, and whatever is requested. I
- 18:40Speaker 1: do not go all the way with these guys. But
- 18:42Speaker 1: I have been asked to for a nice sum of money.
- 18:45Speaker 1: I questioned my morals all the time, but this job
- 18:48Speaker 1: is so exciting. I'm sure some of the other hostesses
- 18:52Speaker 1: here at work are doing a lot extra with these men.
- 18:55Speaker 1: Should I try it once? Okay, you're asking me, should
- 19:00Speaker 1: you be a prostitute? Basically, that's if you sell your
- 19:07Speaker 1: body for money, that's prostitution. That's what you're asking me.
- 19:11Speaker 1: You can work at a speakeasy. It's a number of
- 19:13Speaker 1: jobs you can work at and do extra on the side.
- 19:15Speaker 1: We ain't got to get into that, but that's what
- 19:18Speaker 1: that is. I'm not giving you my permission to do that.
- 19:22Speaker 1: You know you you do like you want to do.
- 19:25Speaker 1: You already headed up that road. But you don't know
- 19:28Speaker 1: you you already there. Lady you to wrote a letter
- 19:30Speaker 1: in to ask you. Got to be kidded. She's considering
- 19:33Speaker 1: it for sure. Yeah, you're already up the road. I
- 19:35Speaker 1: don't know they're they're gonna be a lot more than that.
- 19:38Speaker 1: That's what you've fenn to do. Backrubs and whatever else.
- 19:41Speaker 1: I don't go all the way. Well how far have
- 19:43Speaker 1: you went? Yeah, yeah, you do went far? Know where
- 19:48Speaker 1: the money good, so Boo live next door all the way? Yeah,
- 19:57Speaker 1: all right. Moving on, Tina in Canada says, my mother
- 20:01Speaker 1: is pregnant and we just found out it will be
- 20:03Speaker 1: a boy. My stepfather wants a son and I want
- 20:06Speaker 1: a little brother. But I also just found out that
- 20:08Speaker 1: my mother and my biological father are still messing around.
- 20:11Speaker 1: I overheard my dad talking to my uncle and he
- 20:13Speaker 1: said he hopes the baby doesn't come out looking just
- 20:16Speaker 1: like him. I can't believe my mother is a cheater.
- 20:19Speaker 1: I've been questioning marriage lately. It is marriage so bad
- 20:22Speaker 1: that you have to cheat? No, not at all. He
- 20:25Speaker 1: just can't make babies. Birth control, there is such a thing. No,
- 20:31Speaker 1: I don't. I don't know what to tell you. Everybody
- 20:33Speaker 1: that's married doesn't cheat, period. I don't know what to
- 20:36Speaker 1: tell you. Now, there are a lot of divorces. Yep,
- 20:40Speaker 1: it's a lot of cheating. Yeah, it's a lot of
- 20:42Speaker 1: great marriages. Yep. You don't, you don't. That is no
- 20:46Speaker 1: news story in the great marriage exactly, Steve break up,
- 20:52Speaker 1: that's right coming up next. The nephew would run that
- 20:55Speaker 1: prank back right after this. You're listening Steve harymore show
- 21:01Speaker 1: coming up at the top of the hour and trending news.
- 21:03Speaker 1: We're going to talk about the missing white woman's syndrome,
- 21:06Speaker 1: and we'll also talk about and tell you about Yeah, yeah,
- 21:10Speaker 1: it's a thing. It's a thing for sure and it

- 29:12Speaker 1: that's what he does? Yes, all right, coming up at
- 29:18Speaker 1: the time of the hour, we'll have some trending news
- 29:20Speaker 1: headlines right after this you're listening to. All right, guys,
- 29:27Speaker 1: miss Anna's standing by with today's national news. And we
- 29:31Speaker 1: are just heartbroken, and I mean heartbroken over the news
- 29:35Speaker 1: that the authorities in Illinois have finally and now identified
- 29:40Speaker 1: the body of missing Blackmail graduate student Gilani Day. This
- 29:46Speaker 1: news is heartbreaking. It's so heartbreaking. And this case did
- 29:51Speaker 1: not garner the national attention, no that you know, compared
- 29:57Speaker 1: to Gabby in It's just so sad. This is it
- 30:02Speaker 1: really is sad. I really feel for his mom and
- 30:05Speaker 1: his family. At this moment um. Missanna is going to
- 30:10Speaker 1: have all of the national news. She'll have the details
- 30:13Speaker 1: for us on the Gilanni Day case. Um sad to
- 30:16Speaker 1: wake up to this news, I'll tell you. Um. Missanne
- 30:21Speaker 1: will also have the latest in the r Kelly case. Um,
- 30:24Speaker 1: but Carli, we're going to switch gears here and do
- 30:27Speaker 1: a little girl talk like we do. Yeah, yeah, we
- 30:33Speaker 1: got to um all right. In today's entertainment news, Megan
- 30:38Speaker 1: the Stallion has gotten a new job. She's going to
- 30:40Speaker 1: be a personal trainer. Um. She is the hot girl
- 30:46Speaker 1: coach now. She took to the Graham to share her
- 30:49Speaker 1: fitness story and to tell the world about her brand
- 30:52Speaker 1: new gigs. She wrote, Hotties, we are officially Nike hotties.
- 31:00Speaker 1: It's my mom used to say Nikki. I don't know
- 31:03Speaker 1: why she used to call that, but she's to say
- 31:05Speaker 1: Nikki instead of Nike. Anyway. Yeah, anyway, she says, I
- 31:14Speaker 1: told you real hotties put their hotties on. So I'm
- 31:18Speaker 1: sharing my fitness story to let you know. Sport is
- 31:21Speaker 1: whatever you want it to be. Uh. Megan the Stallion
- 31:25Speaker 1: goes on to say dance is my sport. She says,
- 31:28Speaker 1: wrapping is my sport. Performing is my sport. I'm an athlete,
- 31:32Speaker 1: and so are you. I love that. I love radio
- 31:36Speaker 1: is our sport. Okay, and you gotta be a shaked hand, yes, yes.
- 31:45Speaker 1: So what do you have in today's beauty news? Okay, Sureley.
- 31:49Speaker 1: So we've been talking about this same girl talk. We've
- 31:52Speaker 1: talked about this off air. Some'm gonna bring it on air.
- 31:54Speaker 1: Beauty trends are back. Eyebrows. So now they're saying that thick,
- 32:00Speaker 1: bushy eyebrows are out of style and thin eyebrows are
- 32:06Speaker 1: coming back from the nineties. You remember we sad thin eyebrows, Yeah,
- 32:12Speaker 1: in the nineties. And so they're saying, if you can't
- 32:15Speaker 1: grow out your eyebrows or if you don't want to
- 32:17Speaker 1: get them thicker and bushy, don't worry about it. The
- 32:21Speaker 1: thin eyebrows are back. Girl. Let me just say this,
- 32:26Speaker 1: I don't care because I just got my eyebrows micro bladed.
- 32:30Speaker 1: The hell I went through, the pain I went through.
- 32:35Speaker 1: My eyebrows are going to be whatever I want them
- 32:38Speaker 1: to be in right now they're bushy and thick. Okay. Okay,
- 32:42Speaker 1: So Shawberry is now worried about your thin eyebrow tree
- 32:45Speaker 1: and beauty trend Okay, can you boot I'm doing me.
- 32:50Speaker 1: I've kind of in between, but my eyebrows are thin,
- 32:53Speaker 1: so I'm kind of like not really mad at this
- 32:56Speaker 1: new beauty trend. So what other nine these beauty tren
- 33:01Speaker 1: You think he's gonna come back? Lip line a girl let? Yeah,
- 33:04Speaker 1: I love lip liner, I do, I do? Yeah, And
- 33:08Speaker 1: you know that's it. That's then for me on Beauty
- 33:10Speaker 1: Trens and girl Talk this morning. We gotta get serious
- 33:13Speaker 1: in the second, which again, thanks a lot, Carla, because
- 33:16Speaker 1: I went through a lot of pain for that. I
- 33:19Speaker 1: didn't need to hear that. But anyway, it is time
- 33:22Speaker 1: to switch gears again and I get to today's headline, Steve,
- 33:25Speaker 1: Ladies and gentlemen, Miss Ann Tripp, thank you very much. Everybody.
- 33:29Speaker 1: Here we go. You know, while we all know the
- 33:31Speaker 1: search for continues for Brian Laundry and Gabby Petito's boyfriend,
- 33:34Speaker 1: you know we know that there are sad news to
- 33:36Speaker 1: report about the black Illinois State University graduate student Gilanni Day.
- 33:41Speaker 1: The Carner and Bloomington, Illinois now says the body found
- 33:44Speaker 1: earlier this month of voting in the Illinois River apparently
- 33:48Speaker 1: was his. The twenty five year old aspiring doctor reported
- 33:51Speaker 1: missing by his family back in August twenty fifth, they
- 33:53Speaker 1: heard nothing from the authorities, and the recent days, his
- 33:56Speaker 1: mother pleaded for help in finding her son, understand of course,
- 34:00Speaker 1: to search for Gabby, but still wondering why authorities seemed
- 34:03Speaker 1: to care next to nothing about finding her child. Even
- 34:05Speaker 1: Gilani Day's fraternity Omega sci Fi put out the call
- 34:08Speaker 1: for information and all the national interests and the whereabouts
- 34:11Speaker 1: and miss Petito. Now it turns out authorities had Gilani's
- 34:14Speaker 1: bodies in September fourth, and people in the community want
- 34:17Speaker 1: to know why. It seems local authorities weren't all that
- 34:19Speaker 1: hard pressed to identify it. As of this late date,
- 34:22Speaker 1: the Bloomington PD has not announced a cause of death
- 34:25Speaker 1: or determination as to whether it was a homicide. The
- 34:28Speaker 1: FBI supposedly involved, but CNN says the agency has not
- 34:31Speaker 1: responded to their request for comment on how this case
- 34:34Speaker 1: was handled. All of us on the Steve Harvey Morning Show,
- 34:36Speaker 1: of course, express our condolences to the family of Gilani Day.
- 34:41Speaker 1: Thousands of migrants, mostly Haitians, still camped out under that
- 34:44Speaker 1: bridge in Del Rio, Texas, but many fewer than there were.
- 34:47Speaker 1: The White House meanwhile, using the word horrific to describe
- 34:50Speaker 1: the pictures and videos of customs and Border control agents
- 34:52Speaker 1: on horseback confronting and hurting migrants like cattle. White House
- 34:56Speaker 1: spokesperson Jensaki says, the President said that kind of stuff
- 34:59Speaker 1: is over. The Secretary also conveyed to civil rights leaders
- 35:03Speaker 1: that we would no longer be using horses in Del Rio,
- 35:06Speaker 1: So that is something a policy change that has been
- 35:08Speaker 1: made in response, and she says the Department of Homeland
- 35:11Speaker 1: Security is investigating how border controls man handled in general
- 35:14Speaker 1: in del Rio. Today's the day Republicans in Arizona released
- 35:17Speaker 1: the findings of their audit of the twenty twenty election,
- 35:19Speaker 1: an audit that costs millions of dollars and went on
- 35:22Speaker 1: for months. According to several media organizations that have received
- 35:25Speaker 1: early draft, the GOP audited actually finds that Joe Biden
- 35:29Speaker 1: won the election. Go figure. Things are wrapping up in
- 35:33Speaker 1: our Kelly's sex abuse trial. The big overarching charge trafficking,
- 35:36Speaker 1: which means a gun is trying to prove that the
- 35:37Speaker 1: singer and composer has also been the head of a
- 35:40Speaker 1: criminal enterprise, including alleged ked napping, forced labor, and the
- 35:43Speaker 1: sexual exploitation of children. Finally, it's been a real sad
- 35:46Speaker 1: week in the entertainment world. First, we lost comedian and
- 35:48Speaker 1: actor Anthony Johnson he was fifty five, LaBelle singer Sarah
- 35:51Speaker 1: dash who was seventy six. Finally, the so called godfather
- 35:54Speaker 1: of the modern Black cinema, Melvin Van Peoples, who was
- 35:57Speaker 1: eighty nine. Son Mario spoke about it. At the top.
- 36:00Speaker 1: He said, they didn't let me at the bottom. Now,
- 36:02Speaker 1: what that meant was he understood show business was a business.
- 36:05Speaker 1: So he took his money. He started making his own
- 36:08Speaker 1: independent films. He built up a little cashe so he
- 36:11Speaker 1: could do his own things. So I got to see
- 36:13Speaker 1: early on and that's what he did, his own saying
- 36:15Speaker 1: God bless him. Now back to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 36:18Speaker 1: You're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, Steve, it
- 36:22Speaker 1: is time to introduce your friends and we can see
- 36:25Speaker 1: what's in there. Ladies and gentlemen. Let's go Chantrey Brown.
- 36:33Speaker 1: What up? Everybody? What up? What up? It goes down.
- 36:35Speaker 1: October twenty one, my daughter gets married. I'll be there
- 36:38Speaker 1: to give her away. And then October twenty two and
- 36:41Speaker 1: twenty three, I'll be at the Atlanta Comedy Theater one
- 36:44Speaker 1: hour and a half, just me doing the damn thing. Now,
- 36:49Speaker 1: A lot of people are wondering what is Jay doing
- 36:52Speaker 1: on his off days when I'm starting companies. I'm doing things.

- 51:16Speaker 1: and I'm about to call my husband since he won't
- 51:18Speaker 1: answer your call. And I did hear him talking to
- 51:21Speaker 1: you in the background? Okay? What did you hear who
- 51:24Speaker 1: he was talking to? No? I didn't. Okay, he was
- 51:27Speaker 1: talking to me. But do you know who I am? No?
- 51:30Speaker 1: I don't and I don't really care. But do you
- 51:34Speaker 1: know Tommy at all? Do I know Tommy? No? No? Okay,
- 51:40Speaker 1: do you know nephew Tommy from the Steve Harvey Morning Show?
- 51:45Speaker 1: You kitty? How to hear you? That's that's Tommy. I

- 52:00Speaker 1: I want to stay funny. It's not funny, Tommy, It's
- 52:04Speaker 1: really okay, all right. I don't want to get off
- 52:06Speaker 1: the phone. And we're all bad terms. Now we got
- 52:08Speaker 1: to get back. We gotta be a good turns when
- 52:10Speaker 1: we got on the phone. Okay, come on, laugh laugh

- 54:28Speaker 1: like we're gonna read this one right here, right now.
- 54:30Speaker 1: You never know it could be yours. Let's go buckle
- 54:33Speaker 1: up a hole on time. We got it, Paul, you
- 54:34Speaker 1: here it is Strawberry letter. All right, Thank you, nephew. Subject,
- 54:39Speaker 1: I'm sick and tired of being sick and tired. Dear
- 54:42Speaker 1: Stephen Shirley. I've been with my boyfriend for five years.
- 54:46Speaker 1: He's thirty years old and I'm twenty eight. Since a
- 54:49Speaker 1: pandemic hit, he's been drinking a lot. At first, it
- 54:53Speaker 1: was out of boredom to pass the time, and I
- 54:56Speaker 1: didn't mind it because it was just beer. Now, he's
- 54:59Speaker 1: drinking at least thirty beers a week, and our recycling
- 55:02Speaker 1: ben stays full of beer cans each week. He swapped
- 55:06Speaker 1: out his coffee and bagel for a beer before he
- 55:09Speaker 1: heads to work. He needs it to jump start his day,
- 55:12Speaker 1: as he says, he's gone back to work a lot
- 55:16Speaker 1: under the influence. So I pray it doesn't get him
- 55:18Speaker 1: fired because he's on probation and he has to keep
- 55:22Speaker 1: a job. I asked his father to come talk to him,
- 55:25Speaker 1: but they drank beer together during the conversation about him
- 55:29Speaker 1: drinking too much. I am at the end of my
- 55:32Speaker 1: rope with this man, and I gave him an ultimatum
- 55:34Speaker 1: that I will not marry him if he can't control
- 55:37Speaker 1: his drinking. If he's had a lot to drink, he
- 55:40Speaker 1: snores very loudly, and I have to sleep on the
- 55:43Speaker 1: couch when he doesn't get enough sleep. He's drunk and
- 55:46Speaker 1: cranky and picks fights over stupid things. I'm tired of
- 55:50Speaker 1: avoiding him in our tired, tiny apartment. And his mom
- 55:55Speaker 1: called him the other day and she could tell he
- 55:57Speaker 1: was drunk and she went off on him. He started
- 56:00Speaker 1: crying and said that everyone is against him and it's
- 56:03Speaker 1: too much pressure on him. He's almost had me fooled
- 56:07Speaker 1: because he looks so defeated in that moment. But a
- 56:10Speaker 1: few minutes after that, he was passed out drunk. His
- 56:13Speaker 1: mom and I have considered talking to his probation officer
- 56:17Speaker 1: about scaring him straight. The only thing about that is
- 56:20Speaker 1: he'd either go back to jail or have to enroll
- 56:23Speaker 1: in an outpatient treatment program. If he doesn't do something soon,
- 56:27Speaker 1: he's going to lose me and his family is going
- 56:30Speaker 1: to distance themselves. Is calling his probation officer a bit
- 56:34Speaker 1: too extreme? Well it might be at this point, But
- 56:38Speaker 1: if you call, you got to get him into some
- 56:40Speaker 1: kind of treatment program. That's what I'm saying, because it
- 56:44Speaker 1: sounds like, truly, he's an alcoholic right now, That's what
- 56:47Speaker 1: it sounds like. He likes to drink, and he's been
- 56:50Speaker 1: drinking a lot, and he can't do this. He can't
- 56:55Speaker 1: stop on his own, So you gotta get him some
- 56:57Speaker 1: kind of help. And I'm not talking about the kind
- 56:59Speaker 1: of help his dad so called gave him when he
- 57:02Speaker 1: came over there to talk to him about stopping drinking,
- 57:05Speaker 1: and they were drinking together at that moment. You gotta
- 57:08Speaker 1: get him in some kind of recovery program immediately, hopefully
- 57:12Speaker 1: he'll agree to it. He's doing too much. He's at
- 57:16Speaker 1: work drunk, he's picking fights over stupid things, and how
- 57:20Speaker 1: is he getting to work. I'm assuming he's driving, and
- 57:22Speaker 1: we all know how bad that can be. That's very,
- 57:25Speaker 1: very dangerous. But I would definitely sign him up for
- 57:28Speaker 1: rehab before I contact his probation officer. We don't want
- 57:32Speaker 1: him to go back to jail, but he needs help
- 57:35Speaker 1: right now, not punishment. All right, Steve, boy, this letter
- 57:42Speaker 1: got crazy. Yeah, I'm sick of time to being sick
- 57:46Speaker 1: of time. You've been a boyfriend, had a boyfriend for
- 57:48Speaker 1: five years, he thirty, you twenty eight. Well, the pandemic
- 57:54Speaker 1: hit and he started drinking a lot. And you say
- 58:03Speaker 1: at first he was out of boredom to pass the time.
- 58:06Speaker 1: So that must mean you were there, Well, you having
- 58:10Speaker 1: a couple of drinks yourself. I'm curious about that or
- 58:13Speaker 1: was it just him? I didn't mind it because it
- 58:15Speaker 1: was just beer. Now he's drinking at least thirty beers
- 58:19Speaker 1: a week, thirty What is that about? Five five a days,
- 58:26Speaker 1: thirty six, Yeah, from five little under five a day.
- 58:32Speaker 1: But I think he's drinking more than that though. Anyway,
- 58:36Speaker 1: or and now recycling being staged from the beer cans
- 58:39Speaker 1: each week, swapped out his coffee and baker for a
- 58:42Speaker 1: beer before he go to work because he needs it
- 58:45Speaker 1: to jump start his day. As he says, I didn't
- 58:47Speaker 1: know beer was a jump starter. It is for him.
- 58:51Speaker 1: I didn't know that. I didn't know that. You that's
- 58:55Speaker 1: that's an addiction. Yeah, that's that's an addiction. He's gone
- 59:02Speaker 1: to work a lot under the influence. Wait a minute,
- 59:05Speaker 1: he's grown to work drunk. Okay, we have a problem,
- 59:09Speaker 1: Shelly said it. This ain't no might be if you
- 59:13Speaker 1: go to work under the influence, dog, you got a
- 59:17Speaker 1: problem the pandemic to turn him into an alcoholic. And
- 59:22Speaker 1: I pray it doesn't get him fired because he's on
- 59:25Speaker 1: probation and he has to keep a job. Now, when
- 59:28Speaker 1: you were talked about probation right here, I thought he
- 59:32Speaker 1: was on his probation period doing it for his job.
- 59:36Speaker 1: It's what I thought. I asked his father to come
- 59:40Speaker 1: talk to him, but they drank beer together doing the
- 59:42Speaker 1: conversation about him drinking too much. See, now you need
- 59:46Speaker 1: somebody to come talk to his daddy. Everybody, you got
- 59:50Speaker 1: to have conversation with this whole damn family because daddy
- 59:53Speaker 1: came over there. They drank while they was talking about
- 59:56Speaker 1: him drinking too much, and him and the daddy just drunk.
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: All right, and I will So I'm at the end
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: of my rope with this man. And I gave him
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: an ultimatum that I will not marry him if he
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: can't control his drinking. If he's had a lot to drink,
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: he snores very loudly. I have sleep on the couch.
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: When he doesn't get enough sleep, he's drunk and cranking.
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: He picks fights over stupid things. What lady, you want
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: to marry this? Whatever's happening before the marriage, when you
- 1:00:32Speaker 1: get married and amplifies? Ready, okay, all right? Coming up
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: at twenty three minutes after the hour, part two of
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: Steve's respond Too, I'm sick and tired of being sick
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: and tired. We'll get back into it right after this.
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: You're listening to Harvey Morning Show. All right, come on, Steve,
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: let's recap today's Strawberry letter. The subject is I'm sick
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: and tired of being sick and tired. Twenty eight year
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: old lady girls got this thirty ye old boyfriend for
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: five years. I didn't told y'all about the boyfriends after
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: you league college. I hadn't told y'all thirty and twenty
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: five boyfriend. Okay, Anyway, during the pandemic, was started drinking.
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: You thought it was just out of boardom to pass
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: the time. But during the pandemic gave us a lot
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: of time, though, so he just drank his ass a death.
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: Now he dranking at least thirty beers a week and
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: recycling being stayed full of beer caves. Swapped out his
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: coffee in bagel for a beer before he had to
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: work because he needs to jumpstart his day. I didn't
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: know bill was a jump starter, but alcohols had jump
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: started to get your day off if you're an alcoholic.
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: He's gone to work under the influence. So our prayer
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: doesn't get him five. Because he's on probation, he has
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: to keep a job. Once again. I thought that was
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: because he was on a probation day period doing a job,
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: but I found out later on he's on probation period
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: the court. I asked his father to come talk to him,
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: but they drank beer together doing the conversation about him
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: drinking too much. Like I said before, now you need
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: somebody to come talk to the daddy. I'm at the
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: end of the role with this man. I gave ultimatum
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: and now I won't marry him unless he controls his drinking.
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: He's had a lot to drink. He snores loud, and
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: when he's not and when he's doesn't get enough sleep,
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: he's drunk and cranky, and he fights so for stupid things. Lady,
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: you're marrying a guy on probation that has a drinking problem,
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: that snores when he get drunk, and when he awake
- 1:02:44Speaker 1: he picked fights. I'm tired of avoiding him in our
- 1:02:48Speaker 1: tiny apartment. How do you do that? I've lived in
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: an apartment with the person I tried to avoid. It's
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: damn near impossible. And the only thing I used to
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: do was just sitting look at the wall. I would
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: just take a chair and just turning the corner, just
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: look at the wall. I feel like I was reading,
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: I was doing anything. Man, I just look at him,
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: just in the corner. I put myself in time out.
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: Just sit in the corner, just look at the damn wall.
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: Try to imnority. Yes, who I've been that leg? Oh
- 1:03:17Speaker 1: you got to you've been to kill yourself. It's hard
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: a voice. Somebody in tiny ass apartment, hard apartment? Was
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: that probably six hundred square feet. I couldn't go nowhere. No,
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: And that wasn't even the first on the first on
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: my head. Oh god, oh god, because hate looks at
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: you all the time. Anyway, His mom called him another
- 1:03:46Speaker 1: day and she could tell he was drunk, so then
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: she went off on him, and here we go. He
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: started crying and said that everybody's against him and there's
- 1:03:55Speaker 1: too much pressure on him. Wait a minute, everybody's against you.
- 1:03:59Speaker 1: You're talking about you, people trying to help you. And
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: wait a minute, what pressure is on you? This called life? Boy?
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: So this is on all of us, this thing called life,
- 1:04:11Speaker 1: this thing called pressure, It's on all of us. You're
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: not the only one. He almost had me food because
- 1:04:18Speaker 1: he looked so defeated in that moment. But a few
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: minutes after that he was passed out drunk. Well that's
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: how he fixed it. Guess how gonna get drunk get
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: out of this pressure? His mom and I have considered
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: taking talking to his probation officer about scaring him straight.
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: The only thing about that is he'd either go back
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: to jail, I have to enroll in an outpatient treatment program.
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: If he doesn't do something soon, he's going to lose
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: me and his family is going to distance himself. It's
- 1:04:46Speaker 1: calling the probation officer to extreme. I'm going to tell
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: you this, don't call that probation officer because he's not
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: gonna play the game with y'all. You call the PO,
- 1:04:58Speaker 1: you create a whole another problem because all they go
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: do is violate. To do all they're gonna do is violate.
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: He going back to jail now, I'm assuming that he's
- 1:05:09Speaker 1: gone to jail before for something to do with drinking
- 1:05:14Speaker 1: or drugs, because he'll either go back to jail or
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: have to enroll in an outpatient treatment program. So I
- 1:05:23Speaker 1: don't know if he's sold dope. I don't know if
- 1:05:26Speaker 1: he was using I don't know what he got arrested for.
- 1:05:29Speaker 1: But do not call the PO, because if you call
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: the PO, they're not gonna act right. They're not fit
- 1:05:35Speaker 1: to play no games with you. You're gonna keep your
- 1:05:38Speaker 1: man in the system, and then he has he has
- 1:05:40Speaker 1: no chance of winning. You all have got to do
- 1:05:44Speaker 1: some type of intervention. You've got to sit him down
- 1:05:48Speaker 1: and tell him what he means to you. You've got
- 1:05:50Speaker 1: to do an intervention. Your mom, you, his sister, get
- 1:05:54Speaker 1: his daddy, and y'all got to sit out and you
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: got to explain it to him. And that's it. That's
- 1:06:03Speaker 1: your only chance. But do not call the parole officer
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: because you are introducing a system that already ain't fair.
- 1:06:12Speaker 1: Now you didn't call the what do you think? What
- 1:06:15Speaker 1: game do you think the PO f into play? He
- 1:06:18Speaker 1: parted system. That's some good poles out there now, and
- 1:06:22Speaker 1: really try to help people get back on the straight
- 1:06:24Speaker 1: now and cut them slacking everything. I don't know which
- 1:06:29Speaker 1: one you got. I don't know. I feel so badly here.
- 1:06:34Speaker 1: But he gotta stopped drinking for he go to work,
- 1:06:37Speaker 1: because if he lose his job, he gonna be in
- 1:06:41Speaker 1: a world of trouble. But do not call a parole officer.
- 1:06:46Speaker 1: I'm sorry, I wouldn't do that. You're drinking his ass.
- 1:06:53Speaker 1: You don't wanna call in the bagel, You rather have
- 1:06:55Speaker 1: a bill. I'm not really a bagel either, but I
- 1:06:58Speaker 1: rather have a bagel in a bill though, all right,

- 1:16:54Speaker 1: bad part. All right. We'll be back with more of
- 1:16:56Speaker 1: a Steve Harvey Morning Show at thirty three minutes after
- 1:16:59Speaker 1: right after this. You're listening to show. All right, guys,
- 1:17:04Speaker 1: time now for ask the CLO Chief Love Officer Steve
- 1:17:07Speaker 1: Harvey ended up building. Here we go. This one is
- 1:17:10Speaker 1: from Rita in Alabama, and Rita says, my divorce was
- 1:17:14Speaker 1: final three years ago, and I'm dating a forty five
- 1:17:16Speaker 1: year old guy I met on a blind date. He
- 1:17:19Speaker 1: seems sweet, but some of the things he does makes
- 1:17:22Speaker 1: him seeing makes him look stalkrish. He calls morning, noon,
- 1:17:27Speaker 1: and night, just to check on me. He asked a
- 1:17:29Speaker 1: lot of questions about my ex husband and said he
- 1:17:33Speaker 1: was going to pay him a visit. I thought he
- 1:17:36Speaker 1: was joking, but he really went to my husband's job
- 1:17:39Speaker 1: to tell him I was his woman. Now. My ex
- 1:17:43Speaker 1: husband was laughing when he called to tell me this.
- 1:17:46Speaker 1: He said, my man's a lunatic, is he really? Yeah?
- 1:17:52Speaker 1: I don't. I don't know what they're going to the
- 1:17:54Speaker 1: job for the announcement world now, a call in morning,
- 1:17:59Speaker 1: noon and night. I don't know what y'all want. Y'all
- 1:18:01Speaker 1: want a man that's attentive. Then when you give your
- 1:18:03Speaker 1: attentionness right here. The strange part is calling your ex
- 1:18:08Speaker 1: and going down to the job. And he could have
- 1:18:10Speaker 1: walked dead up into that. I don't play with people
- 1:18:17Speaker 1: on their job. Anytime you go to somebody's jobs job,
- 1:18:22Speaker 1: that's that's trouble right there. Yeah, that's a different thing.
- 1:18:26Speaker 1: But the words you're looking forward, controlling, keep the red
- 1:18:31Speaker 1: flag monitor out and prepare yourself get out. Just pay
- 1:18:36Speaker 1: close attention. So she told him where her ex worked. Yeah, well,
- 1:18:42Speaker 1: you know, when you call morning, noon, and night, covers
- 1:18:48Speaker 1: a lot of information and look at the window now
- 1:18:52Speaker 1: see if he's out there right during that? Right now?
- 1:19:00Speaker 1: A brother? All right, This is from Mayanna in Charlotte.
- 1:19:07Speaker 1: As we move on, Miyanna says, my son is nineteen
- 1:19:11Speaker 1: years old and his girlfriend is eighteen years old. He
- 1:19:14Speaker 1: asked if his girlfriend can move in with us since
- 1:19:17Speaker 1: her dad has to take a job in another state.
- 1:19:19Speaker 1: I'm a single mom and I can't watch them twenty
- 1:19:22Speaker 1: four to seven, but my mother said she'd be able
- 1:19:24Speaker 1: to come over when I'm working. I also told the
- 1:19:27Speaker 1: girl she'd have to sleep in my room because I
- 1:19:30Speaker 1: don't want my son to give up his room. My
- 1:19:32Speaker 1: son says, I'm overthinking it. Are they old enough to
- 1:19:35Speaker 1: be left alone? Oh? No, Why you think he asked you?
- 1:19:41Speaker 1: Can she move in? They know what to do when
- 1:19:44Speaker 1: they alone. They haven't done alone. What are you talking about?
- 1:19:48Speaker 1: Are they old enough to be alone? They've been alone.
- 1:19:51Speaker 1: That's why she trying to get her to move in.
- 1:19:54Speaker 1: Your mama says, she gonna come over there when you
- 1:19:56Speaker 1: at work and do what she gonna go to sleep?
- 1:20:03Speaker 1: All right, coming up, it is our last break of
- 1:20:06Speaker 1: the day. It is lest break up day. We'll also
- 1:20:14Speaker 1: have some closing remarks from Steve Harvey. Right after this
- 1:20:21Speaker 1: you're listening to show. All right, here we are guys
- 1:20:25Speaker 1: on this Friday, with our last break of the day
- 1:20:28Speaker 1: and of the week. It's been a good day and
- 1:20:32Speaker 1: some kind of crazy week. Yes, it has heavy, heavy week.
- 1:20:37Speaker 1: An yeah, crazy yep, A border man borders crazy. We're
- 1:20:46Speaker 1: living in crazy Democrats too, that's crazy. What the Democrats
- 1:20:50Speaker 1: are not doing is crazy. They don't stick together. That's well.
- 1:20:54Speaker 1: You know, the politics in this country is absolutely horrible.
- 1:20:58Speaker 1: We just have to vote and just get him. It
- 1:21:02Speaker 1: doesn't make it. We just have to volks up. I'm
- 1:21:04Speaker 1: gonna keep missing. Hey, listen, these are my closing remarks
- 1:21:07Speaker 1: to day. I want to remind you all of something
- 1:21:11Speaker 1: that I have to remind myself of quite often, and
- 1:21:16Speaker 1: it is this God has planned for your life something great.
- 1:21:28Speaker 1: God has planned for your life, some goodness. One of
- 1:21:32Speaker 1: the key signs to know that God still has goodness
- 1:21:36Speaker 1: for you is that He wakes you up in the morning.
- 1:21:40Speaker 1: The moment your journey is over, your mission has been accomplished,
- 1:21:44Speaker 1: or you've reached the end, you won't wake up anymore.
- 1:21:47Speaker 1: But as long as you do, that means He has
- 1:21:50Speaker 1: more for you. See. God has incredible destinies planned for
- 1:21:56Speaker 1: us all. It's just that He has given us the
- 1:21:59Speaker 1: power of decision that allows us to reach the destiny,
- 1:22:04Speaker 1: to flourish in the destiny, or to ignore the destiny.
- 1:22:09Speaker 1: So what I want to talk to you about today
- 1:22:12Speaker 1: is knowing and understanding that God has a great destiny
- 1:22:15Speaker 1: for you. I want you all to do something. Stop
- 1:22:19Speaker 1: hanging around people that's blocking your destiny. I am telling
- 1:22:25Speaker 1: you man, it is one of the biggest causes of
- 1:22:29Speaker 1: us not reaching our potential and not being who God
- 1:22:33Speaker 1: created us to be. Stop hanging around people that's blocking
- 1:22:38Speaker 1: your destiny. First of all, let me help you with
- 1:22:41Speaker 1: understand something. Friendships get outgrown. You can outgrow a friendship,
- 1:22:49Speaker 1: and all of us have done it. You've had people
- 1:22:52Speaker 1: that you were friends when you were younger and you
- 1:22:55Speaker 1: just can't be their friends because you grew in two
- 1:22:58Speaker 1: different directions. You wanted to go right, they wanted to
- 1:23:01Speaker 1: go left. You went up, they went down, You stayed still,
- 1:23:05Speaker 1: they moved on. It happens. But you outgrowth friendships, and
- 1:23:10Speaker 1: it's okay because some of these friendships are the very
- 1:23:15Speaker 1: things that stopping you from and blocking your destiny, and
- 1:23:18Speaker 1: you got to cut them loose sometimes, man, old friends
- 1:23:22Speaker 1: are just that they're old friends. I got friends of mine, man,
- 1:23:26Speaker 1: that I've been cool with since I was four years old.
- 1:23:29Speaker 1: We got a group that I've been knowing since we
- 1:23:32Speaker 1: were four. We've been friends over sixty years. Man. Great brothers.
- 1:23:36Speaker 1: Still love them and talk with them. But it's a
- 1:23:39Speaker 1: lot of friends, man, that was in that little circle
- 1:23:42Speaker 1: on food with no more. But it's four of us
- 1:23:44Speaker 1: that stayed close. But everybody else that I grew up
- 1:23:48Speaker 1: with the day out man. And now that you've tried
- 1:23:51Speaker 1: to make a progressive move up within your life, you
- 1:23:54Speaker 1: can't afford to have them around you because things that
- 1:23:57Speaker 1: you associate with wind up rubbing off on you. If
- 1:24:00Speaker 1: you hang with people and all they do is drink,
- 1:24:03Speaker 1: don't you know, eventually you're gonna take a silp. If
- 1:24:06Speaker 1: you hang around with people and all they do is
- 1:24:09Speaker 1: cheat on their spouse and you the only want to
- 1:24:11Speaker 1: don't Eventually, man, you're gonna wind them trying that you can.
- 1:24:14Speaker 1: The temptation gonna rub off on you. You got to
- 1:24:17Speaker 1: distance yourself, man. You got to get away from the
- 1:24:20Speaker 1: peer pressure that's blocking your destiny. You got you and
- 1:24:23Speaker 1: another thing, you got to stop doing. Stop making excuses
- 1:24:26Speaker 1: for people that ain't right. When somebody forewarned you about
- 1:24:29Speaker 1: somebody in your life, stop making excuses for them where
- 1:24:32Speaker 1: you know they just got out, where you know they trying,
- 1:24:36Speaker 1: they trying to do better. That ain't your job. Your
- 1:24:40Speaker 1: job is to get to your destiny. Sometimes you have
- 1:24:45Speaker 1: to distance yourself. Listen to me, y'all. The enemy's job
- 1:24:50Speaker 1: is to keep you from your destiny. The devil wants
- 1:24:54Speaker 1: to rob you of your destiny that God has for you.
- 1:24:57Speaker 1: You got to wake up and be aware of the
- 1:24:59Speaker 1: people you got surrounding you. And sometimes it's your family.
- 1:25:05Speaker 1: I have said it time and time again. Everybody come
- 1:25:08Speaker 1: with you, can't go with you, but you got to
- 1:25:09Speaker 1: start paying attention to your environment. Man, If you're hanging
- 1:25:13Speaker 1: around people that ain't getting it, ain't going where you
- 1:25:15Speaker 1: want to go. You got to get away from Hey,
- 1:25:18Speaker 1: listen to me. Somebody told me this. They said, Hey, Steve,
- 1:25:21Speaker 1: look at your friends who you spend the most time
- 1:25:24Speaker 1: talking to. He say, Nah, that's where you're gonna be
- 1:25:27Speaker 1: in five years, he said, because five years ain't nothing, man,
- 1:25:34Speaker 1: He said, look at the people you're spending your time
- 1:25:36Speaker 1: talking to and associate with. And that's where you're gonna
- 1:25:39Speaker 1: be in five years. And if the friends you're associating with,
- 1:25:43Speaker 1: the family members you hanging with ain't where you want
- 1:25:45Speaker 1: to be, you got to get a new group. Man.
- 1:25:48Speaker 1: It's nothing wrong with it, but you gotta stop allowing
- 1:25:51Speaker 1: people to block your destiny. You know, look and well, Steve,
- 1:25:58Speaker 1: I don't want them to not like me. Okay, you
- 1:26:02Speaker 1: don't want nobody to like you, so you would rather
- 1:26:08Speaker 1: not reach your destiny. I would rather you quit liking
- 1:26:12Speaker 1: me than me not ever reaching my destiny. I'll tell
- 1:26:16Speaker 1: you that because of me, reaching my destiny is predicated
- 1:26:20Speaker 1: on whether you like me or not. I don't think
- 1:26:22Speaker 1: that's a good friendship anyway. Be careful, y'all. And another thing,
- 1:26:28Speaker 1: there's greatness in your future. Stop asking people to vote
- 1:26:33Speaker 1: on it. That it's greatness in your future. Stop asking
- 1:26:38Speaker 1: people to vote on it. You and God are the majority.
- 1:26:43Speaker 1: What anybody else thinks don't matter. Stop asking people for
- 1:26:48Speaker 1: their permission for you to be great. Go reach your
- 1:26:52Speaker 1: destiny and stop hanging around people that's blocking it. Those
- 1:26:56Speaker 1: are my closing remarks. I'm telling you get away from me, y'all.
