- 0:38Speaker 1: I don't join joining me. You gotta turn you are
- 1:24Speaker 1: you gotta turn to turn out, turn, got to turn
- 1:44Speaker 1: them out to turn turn the water the water. Come,
- 1:58Speaker 1: Come on your baby at it? Uh huh, I sure will.
- 2:03Speaker 1: Good morning everybody you are listening to the voice, Come
- 2:07Speaker 1: on dig me now. One and only Steve Harvey got
- 2:10Speaker 1: a radio show. Man. If y'all only knew, I think
- 2:15Speaker 1: I'll tell it to you this morning. Man started off
- 2:19Speaker 1: real crazy. But it's just those little mishaps where we
- 2:23Speaker 1: as people who are striving to be successful that makes
- 2:29Speaker 1: all the difference in the world. When you have those
- 2:31Speaker 1: little minor things that come up, you can't let the
- 2:34Speaker 1: minor things stop you. You've got to keep pressing forward. Now,
- 2:39Speaker 1: could I have played the role of where is my car?
- 2:43Speaker 1: Where is my car? Oh? Where is my car? Instead
- 2:47Speaker 1: of hustling and grab a cab? So what am I? Am?
- 2:52Speaker 1: I above a cab? Ride? Now, or do I have
- 2:55Speaker 1: to look at the bigger picture and say, okay, I
- 2:57Speaker 1: could act like a little spoiled at some type of
- 3:00Speaker 1: star and go I don't ride in cabs, or where's
- 3:04Speaker 1: my car? And then go to blaming people for not
- 3:05Speaker 1: having a car, Or do I make the adjustments because
- 3:08Speaker 1: ain't like I ain't been in a cab before now
- 3:10Speaker 1: slow down? Ain't like I ain't never been in a
- 3:13Speaker 1: in a beat up car before, slow down. Ain't ever
- 3:16Speaker 1: like I ain't never had a cab and roll the
- 3:18Speaker 1: bus before? Slow down. Ain't like I ain't never been
- 3:22Speaker 1: homeless before, and ain't have nowhere to go? Slow down.
- 3:26Speaker 1: So in those moments right there, always remember where you
- 3:29Speaker 1: come from, but even more importantly, always remember where you're
- 3:33Speaker 1: trying to go, because it's important for me that I
- 3:37Speaker 1: get here as many mornings as I possibly can. It's
- 3:40Speaker 1: important because that's the goal. And so many people allowed
- 3:44Speaker 1: a minor things to stop them on their road to success.
- 3:47Speaker 1: And I'm giving you this example today not to say hey,
- 3:51Speaker 1: look at me, but to say to you, hey, listening
- 3:53Speaker 1: to me. They are going to be a lot of
- 3:55Speaker 1: things that's gonna happen along your way to being successful.
- 3:58Speaker 1: And if you allow the small things to stop you,
- 4:00Speaker 1: there's no way you'll make it. You've got to always
- 4:03Speaker 1: press forward and stop looking at the situation for what
- 4:05Speaker 1: it is and look. Sometimes you have to take your
- 4:08Speaker 1: offer right now and put your eye into future. You know,
- 4:11Speaker 1: God has blessed me in so many ways. I mean,
- 4:13Speaker 1: what can I say? You know, I ask God for
- 4:15Speaker 1: the syndicated show. He gives me a syndicated show. Now
- 4:18Speaker 1: I act like I don't want to come to it.
- 4:20Speaker 1: Hold on, man, slow down. Did not you ask for this?
- 4:24Speaker 1: Do I not realize that there are certain people, man,
- 4:27Speaker 1: who look forward to this message in the morning. I've
- 4:30Speaker 1: heard it from people, So from the hundreds that I've
- 4:34Speaker 1: heard it for, that could represent thousands for all I know.
- 4:38Speaker 1: So if I think somebody's counting on me, I got
- 4:41Speaker 1: to try to get there and give something. So today
- 4:43Speaker 1: I didn't have any time at all to think about
- 4:45Speaker 1: what I might say. I just walked right in and
- 4:48Speaker 1: the jingle was playing, and so I decided to just
- 4:50Speaker 1: tell you about my day and maybe you can relate
- 4:53Speaker 1: it to something you're going through alone the way, Because
- 4:56Speaker 1: no matter who you are, you're going to have some moments. Man,
- 4:59Speaker 1: where things are going to happen. And like I always
- 5:02Speaker 1: tell my kids, and I just had this conversation with
- 5:04Speaker 1: my little girl, it ain't that things ain't gonna happen.
- 5:07Speaker 1: It's how you handle what happens that matters. See, it
- 5:11Speaker 1: don't matter that things are going to happen, because they're
- 5:13Speaker 1: going to happen, but it don't matter. It's how you
- 5:17Speaker 1: handle what happens. That's the determining factor on where you
- 5:21Speaker 1: get in life and how soon you get there and
- 5:23Speaker 1: how long you stay there. And that's an important thing
- 5:26Speaker 1: for people to remember. Something is always going to happen.
- 5:31Speaker 1: That will always be a mishap, something that's gonna throw
- 5:36Speaker 1: you off. That will always be something man that could
- 5:39Speaker 1: deter you. That will be something somewhere man that will
- 5:43Speaker 1: make you doubt it, that will make you doubt the journey.
- 5:46Speaker 1: That will be something somewhere man that's sometimes going to
- 5:50Speaker 1: be almost demoralizing to the point where you want to
- 5:53Speaker 1: sit down and give up. That's going to happen. Now
- 5:57Speaker 1: now that you know that's gonna happen, then let's talk
- 6:00Speaker 1: about how you handle what happens. Because it's going to happen.
- 6:04Speaker 1: So now what do you do as a person, when
- 6:06Speaker 1: these moments come about in your life, how do you handle? Oh?
- 6:10Speaker 1: Woe is me? Oh, I guess it wasn't meant to
- 6:13Speaker 1: be well. If the Lord wanted me to have this,
- 6:17Speaker 1: I'd have that. How many do you how many times
- 6:19Speaker 1: you hear people say that? You know, man, it really
- 6:22Speaker 1: irks me. Man, Stop using God as your excuse. God
- 6:27Speaker 1: ain't no excuse. God is a reason. He's a reason
- 6:31Speaker 1: why the good happens. He's the reason why the falling
- 6:36Speaker 1: can get up. He's the reason why hopeless people end
- 6:41Speaker 1: up with hope. He's the reason why people decide not
- 6:46Speaker 1: to commit suicide. He's the reason why people get off drugs.
- 6:50Speaker 1: He's the reason why people climb the corporate ladder and
- 6:53Speaker 1: make it. He's a reason. He's not an excuse. God
- 6:57Speaker 1: don't have no excuses in none of his stures of writings.
- 7:00Speaker 1: Not that I but he just don't make excuses. I
- 7:03Speaker 1: would have done this, but had I known this, I
- 7:07Speaker 1: would have changed that. I wish I had done this
- 7:10Speaker 1: different if only I had paid attention. Yeah, that's I
- 7:14Speaker 1: haven't read that about him at all. So why do
- 7:17Speaker 1: you use his scriptures to make excuses for yourself? You
- 7:22Speaker 1: know there's a scripture that says the poor will all
- 7:25Speaker 1: shall always be amongst us. Why that's got to be you. Yeah,
- 7:29Speaker 1: he said the poor will always be amongst us, because
- 7:32Speaker 1: you know, everybody ain't gonna follow the principles of success.
- 7:35Speaker 1: But he also said he came to give you life
- 7:37Speaker 1: and give it to you more abundantly. He said that too,
- 7:40Speaker 1: But oh no, you don't want to hear that because
- 7:42Speaker 1: your life kind of trip it out a little bit.
- 7:44Speaker 1: So now what you do with it? Now you twist
- 7:46Speaker 1: it and you go to that one little scripture that say, well,
- 7:50Speaker 1: the poor shall always be amongst us. Well, that's put
- 7:54Speaker 1: in there because that's that's suggests in case. See that's
- 7:57Speaker 1: a just in case y'all don't want to follow the scriptures.
- 8:01Speaker 1: That's just in case you don't understand that faith without
- 8:04Speaker 1: works is dead. That's just in case you have not
- 8:08Speaker 1: because you ask not. It's just in case you don't
- 8:12Speaker 1: believe in shall not doubt He got all that in there.
- 8:14Speaker 1: But in case you don't want to do that, there
- 8:17Speaker 1: is a scripture that tells you, who don't happen if
- 8:20Speaker 1: you don't do it. And here it is, the poor
- 8:22Speaker 1: shall always be a monster. But then you get that
- 8:24Speaker 1: when they say, well, that's I guess that's the Lord's will,
- 8:28Speaker 1: Lord's will, really, really, really really that's amazing. I just
- 8:33Speaker 1: don't believe that about him. I don't believe that God
- 8:37Speaker 1: created your life to be a life of misery. I
- 8:41Speaker 1: think that we make decisions along the way that cause
- 8:45Speaker 1: us to have lives of misery. But I really really
- 8:48Speaker 1: just don't believe that God created you for that. I've
- 8:54Speaker 1: heard Nelson Mandela speak, and you know, you gotta go wild.
- 8:59Speaker 1: Although years in prison, man, what was it about? When
- 9:03Speaker 1: you hear him speak, you understand what it was about.
- 9:07Speaker 1: He said he always knew he would be free one day.
- 9:11Speaker 1: Now what he said he never knew was he said
- 9:14Speaker 1: he never knew that he would be the president of
- 9:17Speaker 1: that country. Oh my goodness, what a long way around.
- 9:23Speaker 1: But he could have sat there and got involved in
- 9:25Speaker 1: prison activities that wasn't up to pawing things like that.
- 9:30Speaker 1: And they said whenever young inmates used to come in.
- 9:33Speaker 1: He was telling the story one time of how young
- 9:35Speaker 1: inmates used to come into the prison. They all sit
- 9:37Speaker 1: around and talk to him about what they were doing
- 9:39Speaker 1: and how many kids they had in their lives. And
- 9:42Speaker 1: it helped them keep track of the outside a little bit,
- 9:44Speaker 1: and it kept a sense of time for them and
- 9:48Speaker 1: reminded me in to talk about what they left behind,
- 9:50Speaker 1: and it kept them going because something was great on
- 9:55Speaker 1: the other side. Had he allowed that to stop him,
- 9:58Speaker 1: had he allowed the impresson, which is a pretty major deal. Oh,
- 10:02Speaker 1: by the way, then guess what he would have never
- 10:05Speaker 1: been to Nelson Mandela that we know to day a martyr,
- 10:08Speaker 1: a leader, a great force. People want to go around him.
- 10:11Speaker 1: Even people that imprisoned him could not understand his staunch strength,
- 10:17Speaker 1: his faith, his unwavering commitment. They couldn't understand it. So
- 10:22Speaker 1: things are going to happen in your life, but it's
- 10:24Speaker 1: how you handle what happens doesn't matter. So keep pushing, y'all.
- 10:27Speaker 1: Don't let the little things get in the way, okay,
- 10:29Speaker 1: And if you just sometimes you just don't know. I
- 10:32Speaker 1: got in the cab thinking I wasn't gonna make it,
- 10:34Speaker 1: but at least let's go see, let's try. I made it. Now.
- 10:37Speaker 1: Guess what that gives me? Another piece of information that
- 10:41Speaker 1: I have and all I had to see it again
- 10:44Speaker 1: to date. Guess what I said today? Man, Sometimes when
- 10:47Speaker 1: it looked like you aren't gonna make it. Just go
- 10:48Speaker 1: ahead on anywhere. Now, I could still be back there
- 10:51Speaker 1: at the hotel time I wear my car, but I
- 10:53Speaker 1: got up in here made it. So Now what y'all
- 10:55Speaker 1: gonna do with it? Let's go. You're listening, people, get read.
- 11:05Speaker 1: There's a train comeing. You don't need no ticket. You
- 11:14Speaker 1: just get home, boy, ladies and gentlemen, the train is here.

- 22:57Speaker 1: and I know I need it, my wife and me.
- 23:00Speaker 1: He cleared, the doctor made it clearer. I believe I'm

- 24:14Speaker 1: his kidney and make it hold make it a hundred
- 24:16Speaker 1: and ten percent. We want you to make that that
- 24:19Speaker 1: kidney like it's been the best kidneys. Bec Deacon, that's deacon, Deacon, whoop,

- 24:33Speaker 1: he's gonna work on my pancris. That's what the doctors
- 24:36Speaker 1: operating on the tap me forward and that's what they're
- 24:38Speaker 1: playing to remove. So really, my kidney is fine. They
- 24:41Speaker 1: did what they called when they'm in my eyes and
- 24:43Speaker 1: everything else is fine. He ain't working on nothing but
- 24:46Speaker 1: my pancres. Sir, right right right. Let me let me

- 24:54Speaker 1: I did call them. Pray for you, Yes, that you know,
- 24:56Speaker 1: because I want to read show that that that that
- 24:58Speaker 1: you make it through this successful. But what another the
- 25:00Speaker 1: reason why I'm getting rounded is here is uh, what
- 25:04Speaker 1: I want to ask you, and I know we we
- 25:06Speaker 1: you know, we've never met face to face. I've seen
- 25:08Speaker 1: you a couple of times, like I said, the church,
- 25:09Speaker 1: but you've been out most time, or you with your
- 25:12Speaker 1: sickness and whatnot. But now, what what I was gonna
- 25:15Speaker 1: ask you was, yeah, and I know this is I
- 25:19Speaker 1: hate to come at you in the final hour and
- 25:21Speaker 1: you're getting ready to go out, sertain and all that,
- 25:24Speaker 1: but if you don't mind it, if you could see
- 25:26Speaker 1: it in your heart to to to see to do
- 25:29Speaker 1: something for somebody else. Yes. Uh, that's that's the large
- 25:32Speaker 1: we are. You always supposed to help those who right.
- 25:36Speaker 1: And I'm glad you you think like that. It's now
- 25:39Speaker 1: when they go in on Friday morning and and remove
- 25:42Speaker 1: that paincreas out? Do you think that that that that
- 25:47Speaker 1: they could go in and and get one of your kidneys?
- 25:50Speaker 1: Because I need one? Hold hold on, just meant what
- 25:55Speaker 1: did you say? What you say? See see, see see
- 25:58Speaker 1: what else? I've been going through my hell with a
- 26:00Speaker 1: little ailment, and I'm wondering if if if I need
- 26:04Speaker 1: a kidney, and I'm wondering if you can give me
- 26:06Speaker 1: one of yours When they go in and get your pankers,
- 26:08Speaker 1: they're going already to have you open. Did you say
- 26:10Speaker 1: you wanted him to take one of my kidneys? Yeah,
- 26:13Speaker 1: and give it to me because I need one? You
- 26:15Speaker 1: need a kidney? Yeah? What what I mean? You already
- 26:18Speaker 1: gonna be landing there open? Wait a minute, mister, you
- 26:21Speaker 1: need a kidney. I need help with my packers. You
- 26:23Speaker 1: gonna call me with a black man? This ain't no
- 26:25Speaker 1: work in the Lord. Now you say you're a deacon,
- 26:29Speaker 1: like I said, Dickon Patterson my name. But see what
- 26:31Speaker 1: I'm asking you? If what you man, brother Conny, what
- 26:36Speaker 1: harm is it? If you already open and land on
- 26:38Speaker 1: t oh. You ain't heard a damn thing I saying?
- 26:41Speaker 1: Have you? I say, I'll be man, you're crazy. It's hell.
- 26:45Speaker 1: Now what I'm gonna have to do. I'm gonna need
- 26:47Speaker 1: to call the pastor because he's going on here. You
- 26:50Speaker 1: say you knew you man, A damn knew, mister, matter,
- 26:53Speaker 1: you too damn knew to know who you're talking to?
- 26:55Speaker 1: What what? What I'm saying is you have two k
- 26:57Speaker 1: two look like you said. You say they did the Mr.
- 26:59Speaker 1: I don't give up what I said they did. Man,
- 27:02Speaker 1: I got two kidneys. You got two, one of yours bad.
- 27:05Speaker 1: That's your problem. Mister. Let me tell you something. I'm
- 27:08Speaker 1: trying to get well and you're calling with this. You
- 27:11Speaker 1: say you're a new deacon, you damn show ills and
- 27:13Speaker 1: you won't be at the church loan. I'll tell you
- 27:15Speaker 1: that because if I ever get close to your sister,
- 27:18Speaker 1: we got some rising to do. What is it gonna
- 27:20Speaker 1: hurt for you to give me one of them kidnings
- 27:21Speaker 1: and both of them? If both them kidneys is good.
- 27:23Speaker 1: It ain't gonna hit him thinks you ain't getting my kidney? Man,
- 27:27Speaker 1: ain't gonna what's wrong with you? Say? And all I'm
- 27:30Speaker 1: saying is if you're gonna be olden laying on the table,
- 27:32Speaker 1: what is it gonna hurt me? Old man, you're gonna
- 27:35Speaker 1: kill I'm open laying on the damn table. What kind
- 27:38Speaker 1: of a pray you in charge of? Mister? Let me
- 27:41Speaker 1: tell you something. Obviously I need to meet you before
- 27:42Speaker 1: I get to the hospital. And now I can hit
- 27:44Speaker 1: pick out the damn bad getting to yours, and I
- 27:46Speaker 1: can't call you that you're gonna feel a damn thing.
- 27:50Speaker 1: How about that? I'll be damned if you're gonna call
- 27:52Speaker 1: and talk to me out of one of my damn kidneness. Man,
- 27:55Speaker 1: I'm trying to live just like you, trying to let
- 27:57Speaker 1: the Lord take care of me, because what you're talking
- 27:59Speaker 1: about it ain't gotta dam anything to do with Jesus.
- 28:01Speaker 1: You can kiss my and get off my phone, that's
- 28:04Speaker 1: what you can do. Can I say one more thing
- 28:06Speaker 1: to you? What is you listening to me? Man? I
- 28:09Speaker 1: don't listen to you, and you ain't talking about nothing
- 28:12Speaker 1: that's got nothing to do with what's going on with me?
- 28:14Speaker 1: Mister you're running the game. If I could get to
- 28:16Speaker 1: y'all but larding you, what can I just say one
- 28:19Speaker 1: more thing and then I'm gonna let you go as
- 28:21Speaker 1: you're listening for what this is Nephew timing from the
- 28:25Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning the show you just got ranked by
- 28:29Speaker 1: your daughter. Oh Lord, have them that girl. Lord have mercy.
- 28:37Speaker 1: Lord have much Jesus, And you are right, brother Codlin
- 28:41Speaker 1: may Man. You have made me use language that I
- 28:43Speaker 1: swear I don't know about. I heard my nighble's name
- 28:45Speaker 1: using that. I didn't stop the long time ago talking
- 28:48Speaker 1: that away. Please forgive me gord him whoa y'all. I'm
- 28:53Speaker 1: gonna have to Lord him, Mersus. My heart is power
- 28:55Speaker 1: painting him. Lord Him, Mercy, Jesus. This ain't me save
- 29:00Speaker 1: me and you. I'll tell you what I enjoyed Steve
- 29:03Speaker 1: Harvey and nephew told me I do. Brother, Commy, I
- 29:06Speaker 1: gotta ask you one more thing, man, what is the
- 29:08Speaker 1: baddest I'm talking about the baddest radio show in the land.
- 29:13Speaker 1: It's gotta be It's gotta be y'all, it's gotta be
- 29:17Speaker 1: y'all here. I don't want you remember the name of
- 29:19Speaker 1: it now the Steve Harvey Steve Harvey morn Show. Lord
- 29:22Speaker 1: help us. I ain't gonna forget it now. Can anybody
- 29:25Speaker 1: loan me your kidney? No way too much. Let my
- 29:33Speaker 1: kidney go. I need it coming out more of the
- 29:37Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show. Right after this, you're listening to
- 29:41Speaker 1: the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Steve. Here's a question. Well,
- 29:46Speaker 1: actually it's probably for Junior and Tommy, because Steve, we
- 29:50Speaker 1: know that our jobs isn't as lucrative as yours, Steve.
- 29:54Speaker 1: So because when we're with you, when we're with you, Steve,
- 29:58Speaker 1: you pay for everything, right, y'all don't right? Right? So
- 30:03Speaker 1: I pay some time, I pay some Timmy Junior hands Yeah, okay,
- 30:08Speaker 1: I've never seen it all right, anyway, you haven't called
- 30:12Speaker 1: ever and Noah will I No, no ever? No? So okay,
- 30:19Speaker 1: So here's a question for Junior and Tommy. So think
- 30:21Speaker 1: about your friends and family. You're the ones who make
- 30:24Speaker 1: the decent money in this friendship or in your family circle. Yeah, now,
- 30:30Speaker 1: do you splurge on them or do you feel like
- 30:33Speaker 1: they're eleech or and and does money actually change everything?
- 30:40Speaker 1: Can we talk about something else? Why because I don't
- 30:43Speaker 1: need my family then uston listening. Well, we gotta going
- 30:47Speaker 1: on say it though, Junior, We'll go ahead splurge on them. Huh.
- 30:51Speaker 1: I guess my problem is is when I think you
- 30:54Speaker 1: expect it. Okay, when we sit down for dinner at
- 30:58Speaker 1: a restaurant and it's fifteen twenty of us, I think
- 31:02Speaker 1: I started, and I've been telling my wife. I said,
- 31:04Speaker 1: I think they expect this all the damn time, and
- 31:06Speaker 1: nobody said I got by, I got me and my
- 31:08Speaker 1: wife I got ours. Don't nobody to say that it's
- 31:11Speaker 1: just past that envelope down at the time. They're not
- 31:15Speaker 1: fitting to say that either, because you're talking to somebody
- 31:18Speaker 1: speaking up right now to go ahead. I can walk
- 31:22Speaker 1: y'all through the whole process. But please don't expect them
- 31:24Speaker 1: to ever say it. They don't fix their lips and
- 31:30Speaker 1: ain't fitting to come out. Don't don't, don't don't prepare
- 31:34Speaker 1: your ears like what No, because they didn't. They didn't
- 31:38Speaker 1: say it. They're not fitting to say it. They ain't
- 31:41Speaker 1: about to say it. Hello, if it pay for everything.
- 31:45Speaker 1: So what I do with my family when I'm around them,
- 31:48Speaker 1: I just treat them first class, y'all. Just come on
- 31:50Speaker 1: this to life here. It is welcome. Now when y'all
- 31:54Speaker 1: go home, you know, I take care of my family. Now,
- 31:58Speaker 1: you know, my brothers and sisters. They ain't got they
- 32:00Speaker 1: ain't gotta work. I call here go y'all's you know,
- 32:04Speaker 1: a little summer and month. Here you go. I love y'all.
- 32:07Speaker 1: I don't want y'all struggling. A little little baby broad
- 32:10Speaker 1: doing good here after that, that's it, m see. But
- 32:18Speaker 1: what I did was I had to do that because
- 32:19Speaker 1: I had to stop the constant requests furness, no air
- 32:25Speaker 1: condition of brown, I need ties. So they kept coming
- 32:30Speaker 1: to you disconnection. Notice I went to the doctor, hold on,
- 32:37Speaker 1: hold on, hold on, hold on. You gotta pay the
- 32:40Speaker 1: doctor bill. Yeah, and you know, man, it becomes a
- 32:44Speaker 1: request from two sisters and nephew. My nephew ain't never
- 32:48Speaker 1: asked me for the two sisters, two brothers at just
- 32:50Speaker 1: the request. Brow. I'm trying to fix my garage. Can
- 32:54Speaker 1: you help me that? Damn dope, it's dislodge And to see,
- 32:59Speaker 1: I don't want to hear that. So what I do
- 33:03Speaker 1: is I just I got everybody in a situation. Here
- 33:07Speaker 1: we are. Everybody got a little payroll check coming from here.
- 33:11Speaker 1: It is every month you know you're gonna get that
- 33:13Speaker 1: all y'all pensions. Y'all can keep your pensions that you've
- 33:16Speaker 1: learned off your jobs, retirement money and higgo your little
- 33:20Speaker 1: baby broth throwing in a little bit more. Nah, can
- 33:24Speaker 1: you make it from there? Because I feel as though
- 33:26Speaker 1: you shoot, ladies and gentlemen, our very own voice of reason, intellect,
- 33:34Speaker 1: and most importantly the facts, ladies and gentlemen, Miss Anne Tripp,
- 33:40Speaker 1: Thanks Steve, come oneing everybody, this is a trip of
- 33:42Speaker 1: the news. You are, sister, Court Judge Ammat Sullivan blocking
- 33:45Speaker 1: the Trump administration's new rules on asylum, declaring them a
- 33:49Speaker 1: violation of federal immigration law. The way Judge Sullivan puts it, quote,
- 33:52Speaker 1: it is a will of Congress, not the whims of
- 33:54Speaker 1: the executive, that set the standards for expedited removal. That's
- 33:58Speaker 1: the quote. Under Trump's current policy, immigrants who claim that
- 34:01Speaker 1: they've suffered domestic violence or gang violence in their home
- 34:04Speaker 1: countries cannot use either reason as grounds for seeking asylum. Here. Meanwhile,
- 34:10Speaker 1: does appear that the Congress is getting closer to averting
- 34:12Speaker 1: a partial government shut down tomorrow. In fact, Democrats in
- 34:15Speaker 1: the Senate have gone along with the Senate Republican Leader
- 34:18Speaker 1: Mitch McConnell's short term spending bill designed to keep the
- 34:21Speaker 1: government operating through early February. I'm glad the leader thinks
- 34:24Speaker 1: the government should not shut down over the president's demand
- 34:28Speaker 1: for a wall, and Democrats will support this CR. CR
- 34:33Speaker 1: refers to continuing resolution that was Senate democratically. To Charles Schumer,
- 34:37Speaker 1: the measure from the majority Republican Senate still does not
- 34:41Speaker 1: contain the five billan dollars that Trump wants for attack
- 34:44Speaker 1: from taxpayers for his border wall. Outgoing House Speaker Paul
- 34:47Speaker 1: Ryan bid farewell to the Hill yesterday, and although he
- 34:51Speaker 1: didn't mention Donald Trump by name, he did call for
- 34:53Speaker 1: renewed political civility. For all the noise, there is passionless energy.
- 34:58Speaker 1: We sort of default to lazy litmus test and shopworn denunciations.
- 35:03Speaker 1: It's just emotional pablum fed through a trough of outrage.
- 35:07Speaker 1: It's exhausting, accepts meaning from our politics, and it discourages
- 35:13Speaker 1: good people from pursuing public service. And Ryan says that
- 35:16Speaker 1: outrage has now become a brand. The Wisconsin Republican said
- 35:19Speaker 1: that he was grateful for his two decades in Congress
- 35:22Speaker 1: and he's going to leave at the end of his term.
- 35:25Speaker 1: The President says he's pulling all US troops out of Syria,
- 35:28Speaker 1: and interestingly, enough of their people on both sides of
- 35:30Speaker 1: the aisle, Republican and Democrats, who really don't feel that
- 35:33Speaker 1: we should be pulling our troops out and feel that's
- 35:35Speaker 1: a really not such a great move that President Trump
- 35:38Speaker 1: has come up with. There's been another episode of Living
- 35:41Speaker 1: While Black Okay. This time a young black man goes
- 35:44Speaker 1: into a bank in Ohio to cash his first paycheck
- 35:46Speaker 1: from a new job. The white people working in Huntington
- 35:49Speaker 1: Bank thought it was too large a sum for a
- 35:51Speaker 1: black man to be making, so they call the police,
- 35:54Speaker 1: who took the man to custody and only released him
- 35:56Speaker 1: after they reached his boss, and then the boss verified
- 35:59Speaker 1: that yes, is my employee, and yes he has paid
- 36:01Speaker 1: that much. That was Huntington Bank in Ohio. The so
- 36:06Speaker 1: called First Step Act a measure back by President Trump,
- 36:09Speaker 1: I believe it or not, sale through the descent this week.
- 36:11Speaker 1: It's the First Step Act. It's a criminal justice reform
- 36:13Speaker 1: bill aimed at lowering a prison recidivism and senses for
- 36:16Speaker 1: non violent drug offenses. It was promoted by presidential son
- 36:19Speaker 1: Layd Jared Kushner. The idea favored by both Republicans and Democrats.
- 36:23Speaker 1: The First Step Act expected to pass the House easily.
- 36:27Speaker 1: You may not have experienced this, but a new study
- 36:29Speaker 1: says loneliness peaks at three stages of life, people in
- 36:32Speaker 1: their late twenties, and their mid fifties, and their late eighties.
- 36:34Speaker 1: That's something we're sad. But today is nationale Go Caroling Day.
- 36:37Speaker 1: Hit the story back to Steve Harp. You're listening to
- 36:46Speaker 1: the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Game the Round for the
- 36:49Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show Man in the street. Very simple question.
- 36:53Speaker 1: The question is what is your favorite Christmas song? Joy

- 37:48Speaker 1: one of my favorite songs. I loved it. The question
- 37:51Speaker 1: today is what is your favorite Christmas song? Man Felice
- 37:55Speaker 1: Navida rocking around the Christmas Tree? Hang, oh the mistletoe.
- 38:02Speaker 1: I'm gonna get no better. What's the name of that one?
- 38:07Speaker 1: This Christmas fireside blazing bright fut out the red nose ring?
- 38:13Speaker 1: Can you sing a little bit? What is Christmas? Singing?
- 38:16Speaker 1: Old Michael Jackson? I saw Mommy Kiss and Santa Claus?
- 38:20Speaker 1: Can you sing it? White Christmas um, the one from
- 38:25Speaker 1: Charlie Brown, Christmas the y'all Oh Christmas Tree? Or No,
- 38:29Speaker 1: that's not it? Is it? It's the other one? It's
- 38:32Speaker 1: is that? That is my favorite Christmas song? Is Santa
- 38:36Speaker 1: Claus Comes to the Ghetto by Snoop Dogg and Nate Dogs.
- 38:39Speaker 1: You're listening show, so go on, nephew with your little
- 38:45Speaker 1: segment but you know, it's just it's that time of
- 38:47Speaker 1: the year, Shirley, and it's good for some people, and
- 38:49Speaker 1: then some people have to make adjustment. If you understand
- 38:52Speaker 1: I'm saying, side pieces have to make adjustments. You understand that.
- 38:56Speaker 1: And I want to talk to all of y'all. Here's
- 38:59Speaker 1: one I'm just listen. Don't find out what mall I'm
- 39:04Speaker 1: going to. I don't need you at that mall. Don't
- 39:07Speaker 1: you understand what I'm saying you, No, it's a free country.
- 39:13Speaker 1: Don't know wherever she wants to go. No, I can't
- 39:15Speaker 1: be shopping with my family with all these free and
- 39:18Speaker 1: see and then see you. He gonna concentrate on getting
- 39:22Speaker 1: getting cookies for the kids and look up that affects
- 39:27Speaker 1: our relationship later when you see me shopping with Just
- 39:31Speaker 1: don't go to the mall he at all. Don't go
- 39:36Speaker 1: to the mall at all. I'm good with that every store.
- 39:40Speaker 1: And don't drive by my house to see the lights
- 39:43Speaker 1: and stuff. Don't don't do that. I'm creating all my
- 39:49Speaker 1: little rain. Why you passing? Don't you put the lights
- 39:53Speaker 1: up for the people to see. Don't put yourself by
- 39:56Speaker 1: you putting yourself through that. It affects our rel and
- 40:01Speaker 1: you see silhouettes of me and my family and there.
- 40:03Speaker 1: You don't need to see that because you gonna want
- 40:07Speaker 1: to be that. Yeah, you see shadows of us walking around.
- 40:11Speaker 1: Don't send me a video of yourself at home by yourself.
- 40:14Speaker 1: I know you at home. I know you by you, Okay,
- 40:18Speaker 1: I know you that. Don't you think I know where
- 40:20Speaker 1: you're at. Now here's a deal. Christmas Eve. I'm coming

- 42:54Speaker 1: time one more. I'm not gonna be the billy bush
- 42:58Speaker 1: to Donald Trump. The only one I don't work right now.
- 43:07Speaker 1: I made it on the White House. It's really gone
- 43:13Speaker 1: from again, desperately wrong with this picture. Yes, we're just
- 43:17Speaker 1: giving out the dunce, that's all we're doing. I ain't
- 43:21Speaker 1: with none of this than you Facebook though, looking at
- 43:25Speaker 1: the family Christmas picture. Why are you doing that to you?
- 43:28Speaker 1: Why do you do that? All right, more of this
- 43:31Speaker 1: crazy ignorant show. Steve Harvey Morning Show right after this.
- 43:35Speaker 1: You're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show coming up at the
- 43:40Speaker 1: top of the hour, right about four minutes after today's
- 43:42Speaker 1: Strawberry Letter. But first, nephew, it's time for today's frank
- 43:47Speaker 1: phone call. Yah hold tight, here you go. Hello, Hello,
- 43:51Speaker 1: I'm trying to reach you. Sandra is Hey, how you doing.
- 43:55Speaker 1: I'm fine with this. This is Brian. This is Brian.
- 43:58Speaker 1: I work with your sister Kiba. Okay, we've we've met
- 44:02Speaker 1: a couple of times. You've you've come out to Happy
- 44:04Speaker 1: Yard with us a couple of times. But that's been
- 44:05Speaker 1: a way you just had a baby. Right, Oh yeah,
- 44:09Speaker 1: well that must have been a long time ago. I
- 44:11Speaker 1: sure did just have a baby, he said, This is Brian. Yeah, Brian, congratulations.
- 44:16Speaker 1: How many months is it now? It's been three months
- 44:18Speaker 1: since I've had them. Okay, all right, well congratulations to you. Listen,
- 44:22Speaker 1: we um we're putting together a pot luck Christmas party
- 44:26Speaker 1: and we wanted to invite you out. Oh okay, is
- 44:30Speaker 1: this some kind of surprise or something? Well, you know what,
- 44:35Speaker 1: I'm My job is to call around since it's a
- 44:37Speaker 1: pot luck, and make sure we get everybody to bring something.
- 44:40Speaker 1: And what I wanted to do is I told her
- 44:42Speaker 1: she should invite her sister. I'm sure your sister. I
- 44:45Speaker 1: was just saying you probably hadn't been able to get
- 44:46Speaker 1: out since the baby, and maybe you would want to
- 44:49Speaker 1: get out a little bit. Yeah, you said that. I've
- 44:51Speaker 1: been trapped in this house with this baby. Oh and
- 44:53Speaker 1: he's such a greedy baby. But yeah, I'm here a lot.
- 44:58Speaker 1: This is like my second child, and I'm telling you
- 45:01Speaker 1: he was nothing like the first one. But I haven't
- 45:03Speaker 1: been out. When is the party. It's gonna be next week,
- 45:06Speaker 1: next Friday. We're gonna throw it and we're not trying
- 45:09Speaker 1: to do anything too late. Probably around six o'clock. Everybody's
- 45:12Speaker 1: gonna leave work a little early, but we're gonna all
- 45:14Speaker 1: bring a little something to contribute to the party and
- 45:17Speaker 1: whatever type of food or drinks or whatever. So we
- 45:20Speaker 1: just wanted to reach out and give you an invitation.
- 45:23Speaker 1: I just need to see if I can get a babysitter.
- 45:25Speaker 1: I haven't had to use a babysitter yet, but I'll try.
- 45:29Speaker 1: I'll do my best for me. It's my sister and
- 45:31Speaker 1: her friend, so i'd be glad to come. So you
- 45:33Speaker 1: say it's it's pot luck. What are y'all bringing? Well,
- 45:37Speaker 1: some people are bringing finger food, some people are bringing desserts,
- 45:41Speaker 1: nachos and things like that. So I guess a little
- 45:44Speaker 1: bit of everything, and everybody's just in the Christmas spirit.
- 45:47Speaker 1: We're just gonna have a good time. Well, do I
- 45:49Speaker 1: need to cook it myself? Or can't I just order
- 45:51Speaker 1: something to have it delivered or something like that. You know,
- 45:54Speaker 1: I'm fooling with this baby. I can't get too much
- 45:56Speaker 1: dune while I'm here, but i'd be glad to contribute. Well, actually,
- 45:59Speaker 1: we're interested in getting some egg nogs. Uh, yeah, I
- 46:03Speaker 1: can probably I could send my husband out to get
- 46:06Speaker 1: something because you know, there's just fool his especialty shop.
- 46:09Speaker 1: They make some good homemade egg nogs. I could do
- 46:12Speaker 1: egg nogs. Well, well, hang on, we didn't. We didn't
- 46:14Speaker 1: want anything from a specialty shop. We're real particular about
- 46:18Speaker 1: having good egg nog. We've always had good eggnog every
- 46:21Speaker 1: year when we throw the big pot luck Christmas party.
- 46:24Speaker 1: We wanted to see if you didn't mind making some
- 46:27Speaker 1: egg nog from scratch. But you know, if you if
- 46:29Speaker 1: you could really really help us out, you know, you
- 46:32Speaker 1: using using breast milk to do it. Well, they make
- 46:36Speaker 1: the best milk. Call for there. I know they use
- 46:38Speaker 1: whole milk. Sometimes they use that buttercream milk. You know what,
- 46:41Speaker 1: I should get my aunt to make it because she
- 46:43Speaker 1: got a real good recipe and I know she used
- 46:45Speaker 1: the best milk as I can get how to make some?
- 46:48Speaker 1: Is that? Okay? Okay, So your mom has what kind
- 46:51Speaker 1: of milk? My ain't. She makes the best egg nog.
- 46:55Speaker 1: And I know she used like whole milk and butter
- 46:57Speaker 1: milk and stuff. That's why I was thinking. I don't
- 46:59Speaker 1: know if Kiva told no, no, no, no, no, no, no,
- 47:02Speaker 1: we want some breast milk, not the best milk. We
- 47:06Speaker 1: want breasts. Aren't you breastfeeding? You you say breast as
- 47:10Speaker 1: in b r e as keep breast milk, breast milk. Yes, yes,
- 47:15Speaker 1: wait a minute, wait a minute, yeah, I'm breastfeeding. But
- 47:17Speaker 1: breast milk is for babies. Adults. People don't supposed to
- 47:20Speaker 1: drink that. If you if you're not know anything, you're
- 47:22Speaker 1: not supposed to breast milk. Breast milk is the best milk. See,
- 47:25Speaker 1: so what we was trying to do is get it.
- 47:27Speaker 1: Get the eggnog made with breast milk, and that's what
- 47:30Speaker 1: we want. Brian, you said your name is Brian. Yeah,
- 47:33Speaker 1: I'm Brian. Okay, Brian, you must be white because because
- 47:37Speaker 1: black folks don't drink breast milk. That's for babies. Okay,
- 47:42Speaker 1: I am not making eggnog with breast milk. Now, Breast
- 47:46Speaker 1: milk is not what you get. That is for my
- 47:49Speaker 1: newborn infants. That sounds nasty, unstable. Why would I do
- 47:53Speaker 1: that to other people, to ask somebody to do I mean,
- 47:56Speaker 1: is that what you can like pump out two gallons
- 47:58Speaker 1: for us? I mean, we're just trying. We're about to
- 48:00Speaker 1: end this conversation. That is not something I'm about to do. Okay,
- 48:04Speaker 1: I am not pumping milks for some Christmas party. That
- 48:10Speaker 1: that is nasty. Okay, somebody gonna call the health department
- 48:14Speaker 1: on y'all bringing up milk up there to make some eggnogs?
- 48:18Speaker 1: What does that? We don't do that. This ain't no
- 48:21Speaker 1: feed of village with my milks. You you know what, man?
- 48:25Speaker 1: Ma'm I mean? I didn't. I wasn't trying to offend you.
- 48:28Speaker 1: I just wanted to see if if it was something
- 48:29Speaker 1: that you would do for us. You know, maybe you
- 48:31Speaker 1: could you could squeeze out a couple of gallons and
- 48:34Speaker 1: we could all. I'm past offended. I ain't squeezing out
- 48:38Speaker 1: a tablespoon of breasting up to be donating to some
- 48:41Speaker 1: Christmas party? Does that? Okay? Yeah? You got me up.
- 48:46Speaker 1: You need to tell Keith. First of all, I don't
- 48:47Speaker 1: even know why ever gave you my number to invite
- 48:50Speaker 1: me to some because she couldn't have She couldn't have
- 48:52Speaker 1: known you're gonna ask me to make some damn eggnogs
- 48:54Speaker 1: with real breastness. I didn't. I didn't. I didn't tell
- 48:57Speaker 1: Keiv exactly what I wanted, but I didn't think it
- 48:59Speaker 1: was gonna be this much of a of a problem
- 49:01Speaker 1: that you would have a problem with a couple of gallons,
- 49:03Speaker 1: so we could have a good time with real good milk. Well, hope, Bryan,
- 49:06Speaker 1: y'all work in corporate America. Surely you are smarter than that.
- 49:10Speaker 1: You're calling somebody ask me for some breast milk? Who
- 49:14Speaker 1: does that? What you can do? If you want some eggnog,
- 49:16Speaker 1: you can stop at the grocery store and get you
- 49:18Speaker 1: some infamire some Simila can mix eggnogged yourself if that's
- 49:22Speaker 1: what you choose to do. But my breast milk, you
- 49:25Speaker 1: can't even pay for it. Okay, I don't get down
- 49:27Speaker 1: like that. That's some if I ever heard of it.
- 49:29Speaker 1: You too, can tell you to be call around asking
- 49:31Speaker 1: people for milk, that you're gonna be this selfish that
- 49:35Speaker 1: you can't loan us a little bit of breast milk
- 49:38Speaker 1: so we can have a great time with some eggnog
- 49:40Speaker 1: at the party. Selfish, loan breast milk? Okay, you know what,
- 49:45Speaker 1: you know what concern don't worry about. We don't even
- 49:47Speaker 1: want you at the party. If you don't gonna bring
- 49:48Speaker 1: the breast milk, then don't come to the party. Damn right,
- 49:51Speaker 1: I don't need to come to your funky party. And
- 49:53Speaker 1: you tell Kiva this is some Steven have her friend
- 49:56Speaker 1: called me. I am the party coordinator, and Kiva knows
- 49:59Speaker 1: that that's I tried to be nice enough to invite you. Offended.
- 50:03Speaker 1: I am offended. Okay, would you ask your wife or
- 50:05Speaker 1: your girlfriend or whoever your baby mama is to do
- 50:08Speaker 1: something like that? Would you expect somebody to ask cor
- 50:10Speaker 1: You're disrespecting me asking me for something like that. Okay,
- 50:14Speaker 1: you know what, Bryan, what is your last name? Because
- 50:16Speaker 1: I'm failing to remember who you are because I'm sho
- 50:19Speaker 1: gonna ask, well, Brian, Brian, Brian ain't really my name.
- 50:22Speaker 1: I didn't really want to tell you my real name,
- 50:24Speaker 1: so so you playing on the phone name you probably
- 50:27Speaker 1: don't even know my sister? Who is this? I mean,
- 50:29Speaker 1: I talk to your sister about twenty minutes ago. I
- 50:32Speaker 1: talked to Keiva. You can't talk to my Kiva because
- 50:34Speaker 1: this is a I know that too clearly. Okay, but
- 50:37Speaker 1: I want to go and tell you this hill. You
- 50:39Speaker 1: know what You're gonna get off my damn phone. That's
- 50:40Speaker 1: what you're gonna do. Kiva told me to call because see,
- 50:43Speaker 1: I am nephew Timmy from the Steve Harvey Martin Show,
- 50:46Speaker 1: and your sister Kiva got me the prank phone call you.
- 50:53Speaker 1: You're talking about that nephew tim that's on the TV
- 50:55Speaker 1: and the ranio I did. This can't be real, you're real, said,
- 51:11Speaker 1: Oh my god, are you real? Funny? Okay, said, I

- 52:14Speaker 1: you ain't letting a wing stop between all the water burger.

- 52:49Speaker 1: Buck up and hold on tight. Here it is strawberry letter.
- 52:52Speaker 1: They don't let me say that because it ain't No
- 52:54Speaker 1: damn wow, thank you Tommy. All right, here we go.
- 52:59Speaker 1: Subject was his wife over me. Dear Stephen Shirley, I
- 53:03Speaker 1: need your advice because I really want to kick my
- 53:06Speaker 1: dad's wife's behind. I am a forty two year old
- 53:10Speaker 1: single mother of two kids. My children's dads don't help
- 53:13Speaker 1: me financially, so my father has helped me raise my
- 53:16Speaker 1: kids for the past fifteen years. Well, I recently lost
- 53:20Speaker 1: my job and everything went downhill. I wasn't able to
- 53:24Speaker 1: pay my rent, so I had to move out of
- 53:26Speaker 1: my apartment. At the beginning of this month, I called
- 53:29Speaker 1: my dad to ask if we could move back home,
- 53:32Speaker 1: and my dad had the nerve to tell me that
- 53:35Speaker 1: I had to discuss it with his wife, my stepmother.
- 53:39Speaker 1: He put her on the phone and she screamed h
- 53:45Speaker 1: E l na yes, and said this would be the
- 53:51Speaker 1: ninth time that I've moved back in with them. She
- 53:53Speaker 1: said it's not their problem that I can't keep a
- 53:56Speaker 1: job and that both of my kids dads are losers.
- 53:58Speaker 1: She said she will knownger allow me to ruin my
- 54:02Speaker 1: daddy's credit. Then she told me to get off my
- 54:05Speaker 1: fat blank yes and start and start taking care of myself.
- 54:13Speaker 1: Before she could finish, I hung up on her. Yes,
- 54:17Speaker 1: I have made plenty mistakes, but I don't need her
- 54:20Speaker 1: throwing them in my face. So now my children and
- 54:23Speaker 1: I are living with my girlfriend, but we can't stay
- 54:25Speaker 1: there much longer. My dad will not speak to me
- 54:28Speaker 1: until I apologize to his wife. I told him that
- 54:32Speaker 1: was never going to happen. Why should I apologize to
- 54:35Speaker 1: this woman? She hurt my feelings, so she should apologize
- 54:38Speaker 1: to me and let me move in until I get
- 54:41Speaker 1: back on my feet. I don't feel like I'm wrong.
- 54:44Speaker 1: This was my dad's way. This was this was my
- 54:47Speaker 1: dad way before he was her husband. Stephen Shirley what
- 54:50Speaker 1: do you think? Nope, nope, nope, nope, nope. How wrong
- 54:54Speaker 1: are you? You are just so wrong right here? Uh?
- 54:57Speaker 1: And the fact that you don't know this makes this
- 55:00Speaker 1: letter even more ridiculous. Okay, your father has every right
- 55:04Speaker 1: to do what he's doing. Confer with his wife. He
- 55:06Speaker 1: has to discuss this with his wife. Okay, it's her
- 55:09Speaker 1: house too. Your dad doesn't owe you anything, Okay, he
- 55:14Speaker 1: doesn't have to let you and your kids move in
- 55:16Speaker 1: with them. I mean, how much more is he supposed
- 55:19Speaker 1: to do for you? At forty two? He's been helping
- 55:21Speaker 1: you for the last fifteen years. That help has turned
- 55:25Speaker 1: into enabling. Yes, your dad was you're enabler and he
- 55:29Speaker 1: is tired of it now and Wifeie is not having
- 55:32Speaker 1: it at all. Okay, and how old are these boys now?
- 55:36Speaker 1: They're doing this for fifteen years? Yeah, come on, now,
- 55:39Speaker 1: it's time for you to take your baby's daddy's to
- 55:42Speaker 1: court and get some child support so you can get
- 55:44Speaker 1: the financial help you need to. Uh, you know, live
- 55:47Speaker 1: your life the way you need to live your life.
- 55:49Speaker 1: And yes, of course, apologize to your step mom and
- 55:53Speaker 1: for your dad. You're trying to make them feel guilty
- 55:55Speaker 1: for not letting you get back in. They have every
- 55:58Speaker 1: right to do what they did, every right. Come on now, Steve, Yes, Steve,
- 56:06Speaker 1: Come on boy, Steve. And these type of letters where
- 56:10Speaker 1: I excel. My gift comes out in letters like this.
- 56:15Speaker 1: Let me take you down to it, because you really
- 56:19Speaker 1: want to kick your daddy's wife behind. I'm forty too.
- 56:24Speaker 1: Let's just start to damn the single mother. Paul, You
- 56:29Speaker 1: farty too? What hell you ain't twenty four? You didn't
- 56:33Speaker 1: flipped it? You farty too? You got two kids? Nothing's
- 56:41Speaker 1: wrong here? Forty two? Two kids ain't bad, nothing wrong
- 56:47Speaker 1: with that? You're ready ready. My children's dads don't help
- 56:54Speaker 1: me financially, so they're not sending no child. So my
- 57:01Speaker 1: father has helped me raise my kids fifteen years. Did no,
- 57:08Speaker 1: I don't worry about that. I do this with the
- 57:13Speaker 1: w fifteen years. You don't need extra breath for that.
- 57:18Speaker 1: Somebody'd been helping you with the damned kids, and ain't
- 57:21Speaker 1: they damned shell? Damn hug your boyfriends? Fifteen years. Well,
- 57:27Speaker 1: I recently lost my job and everything went down. Hell,
- 57:29Speaker 1: I wasn't able to pay my wrist, so I had
- 57:31Speaker 1: to move out of my apartment at the beginning to
- 57:33Speaker 1: this moment. I called my daddy asked him if we
- 57:35Speaker 1: could move back home, and my daddy had the nerve
- 57:37Speaker 1: to tell me I had discussed this with his wife.
- 57:40Speaker 1: That's cause it's her house. And the other reason it
- 57:44Speaker 1: caused your asses fired too. You ain't fifteen, get put out?
- 57:50Speaker 1: You fired too. My stepmother, he put on the phone,
- 57:56Speaker 1: and she screamed, hell now, I love it. I love her,
- 58:05Speaker 1: and let me tell you why. She said, hell no,
- 58:09Speaker 1: because this will be the knife time. This will be
- 58:14Speaker 1: the knife time nine damn times. You're forty two year
- 58:20Speaker 1: old behind then, can't crawling back to the house. You
- 58:24Speaker 1: ain't crawling up in here no more we come back.
- 58:28Speaker 1: I'm gonna tell you why you really can't come back.
- 58:33Speaker 1: It ain't just the nine times. Oh that's big, But
- 58:37Speaker 1: I got mold than that. Why YO had can't come
- 58:42Speaker 1: back up in here nine damn times? Who do that?
- 58:46Speaker 1: I don't know? Loes they place to stay? Nine times?
- 58:50Speaker 1: Just ain't paying no damn Rick's mad at his wife
- 58:56Speaker 1: if the kids ain't fifteen him every year you get
- 59:01Speaker 1: put out? The dude, step mama, you're brying our phones
- 59:06Speaker 1: and join your aunts. Ain't paying the rent? Right, all right,
- 59:10Speaker 1: we're gonna have part two of Steve's response coming up
- 59:13Speaker 1: at twenty three after the hour you're listening show. All right, Steve,
- 59:20Speaker 1: come on, let's get to part two of your response
- 59:22Speaker 1: to today's Strawberry letter. He chose his wife over me,
- 59:26Speaker 1: this forty two year old woman who is single, because
- 59:32Speaker 1: he can't get nobody to marry her because she keep
- 59:36Speaker 1: picking losers that don't pay no child support and help
- 59:40Speaker 1: up financially with d two boys. I feel sorry for that,
- 59:44Speaker 1: but dad ain't the problem. You called your daddy because
- 59:47Speaker 1: you lost your job, and why you keep losing job exactly?
- 59:53Speaker 1: You keep losing job, then you call your daddy. Now
- 59:57Speaker 1: he didn't help you in the path. And this time
- 59:58Speaker 1: we told you A discussed with his wife. Now you
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: want to kill her. You want to kick my wife's
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: daddy behind. He putting my stepmother on the phone, and
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: she screened, hell now you ain't coming. Hell no, when
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: you got bring it, she said it would be the
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: ninth time, and she did not lie. She's business because
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: you didn't dispute it. Just the knife damn time that
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: I moved back in with them. She'd been na through
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: eight moving. She said it's not the problem that I
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: can't keep a job and that both my kids dads
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: are losers. You slept with them bums. Now they ain't
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: helping out with the kids can keep Come on, this
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: will be the ninth time she said she would no
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: longer allow me to ruin my daddy's credit. Here is
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: what you really mad. Come on, she did tell told
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: me to get off my fat ass and start taking
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: care of myself. That's what prompted this letter, right, she
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: had called your fat asswer see, that was not She
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: wouldn't go write this letter until she told her get
- 1:01:20Speaker 1: off your fat as, huh and take care of yourself. Lord,
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: Now we have the letter. Now before she could finish,
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: I hung up because the fat ass wiped out. This
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: is how the conversation. Get off your fat ass and
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: take care of yourself. Hey, what is daddy and stepmama
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: over there doing by theirself? Anyway? What did they do?
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: They live it? They followed today They probably said sixty seventy.
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: They don't want them damn kids and the fat ass,
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: and they're eating groceries. There's already last time she was hid.
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: One reason she left that pad like refrigerator they put
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: combinations on on camp, be sure she could finish. I
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: hung up on her. Yes, I have made now here
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: we go. Here comes the confession. Now I hung up
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: on the Yes. I have made plenty of mistakes, but
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: I don't need her throwing them in my face. She
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: ain't throw them in the face. You keep throwing them
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: in their face. You keep dragging them, damn kid back
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: over there eight times prior. It ain't that they throwing
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: it in your face. You keep bringing it to their face.
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: So now my children are now are living with my girlfrid,
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: But we can't stay there much longer. You know why
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: because your girlfriend know you got the fat ass, and
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: you're over there eating groceries up over there too, and
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: them two boys. My dad would not speak to me
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: until I apologize to his wife, because see, you ain't
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: just hang up. See see what you called you fat ass?
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: Take care of yourself. Oh you went out the house
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: like you had the waffern come back around. Oh you
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: threw something back up in that house. Ton, Now you
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: gotta regret. I'm fat. Oh I'm fat. I ain't the
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: only one fat me and you wear the same size
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: because when I live at I wore your clothes. That's
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: why you can't come back, and that's why you gotta apologize.
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: I told him I was that was never going to happen.
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: Now you're not gonna apologize to you when you ain't
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: getting in this woman's Oh are you stupid? Why should
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: I apologize to this woman? She hurt my feelings. You've
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: been eating her groceries, staying at her house, messing up
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: your daddy credit. She don't know you nothing. Na, she
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: hurt my feelings, So she should apologize to me and
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: let me move in until I get back on my feet.
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: Who see, everybody always got to do something for you.
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: She got to apologize me and let me move in
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: until I get back on my feet. It's hard to
- 1:03:59Speaker 1: get on your feet with ass your side. I've seen
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: big people fall before. It takes a while. They got
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: to roll over, get on both knees. They need a
- 1:04:09Speaker 1: hand up. If they ain't no hand on the way,
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: they just stay there. No, I'm telling you this is
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: what this is. I don't feel like I'm wrong. Well,
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: Charley told you all wrong. This was my dad way
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: before he was a husband. Yeah, your dad, but when
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: you get a wife, he has to leave all others
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: and cleave unto her, that's your ass is included in
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: the league. What your ass is included in the league.
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: And you could come up with people's house and stay
- 1:04:39Speaker 1: long if you leave some of that ass, but you
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: brings that wide ass with and steady replenishing ass. See
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: if you would get in the weight loss business, somebody
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: without mind letting you stay there. But you're in the
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: ass replenishing busins you over there just blowing. As we're
- 1:04:58Speaker 1: sitting up here watching this. If we go, your sons
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: is sitting on it while you're walking around Walmart. You
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: got one son on each cheek. He ain't gotta get
- 1:05:11Speaker 1: your boys are riding your as. She really doesn't get it.
- 1:05:14Speaker 1: She says, this was my dad way before he was
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: her husband. Come on, yeah, that's right, but so damn
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: what he's still your daddy. And he says you can't
- 1:05:24Speaker 1: come over there. He's not like Shirley said, he's not
- 1:05:29Speaker 1: just your daddy. He's been your enaghbler. You've been over
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: to these people's house eight So what you do is
- 1:05:37Speaker 1: you know you ain't got to do right as long
- 1:05:39Speaker 1: as you don't want to, because you just go over
- 1:05:42Speaker 1: your daddy's house. Well, they put a stop to this,
- 1:05:44Speaker 1: so now I ain't got to go to work. I
- 1:05:45Speaker 1: don't feel like it today. You five, I'm going to
- 1:05:48Speaker 1: my daddy. You ought to be taking care of daddy.
- 1:05:53Speaker 1: You're forty too, You're lazy, and you ask with like
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: a cough. All right, Steve, we gotta get email us
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: or Instagram thoughts on today's Strawberry letter at my girls, Shirley,
- 1:06:06Speaker 1: and coming up more of the Steve Harvey Morning Show
- 1:06:08Speaker 1: right after this. You're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show now
- 1:06:13Speaker 1: because Santa so busy some of the Mason's Department stores. Now,
- 1:06:18Speaker 1: you gotta make an appointment to see Santa. So I

- 1:06:45Speaker 1: to eleven. Coming after eleven with no long list. We're
- 1:06:49Speaker 1: just doing long lists from nine to eleven. And Santa
- 1:06:56Speaker 1: is warning you this year, don't be repeating stuff you
- 1:06:59Speaker 1: hear the other kids safe making your list longer. Just
- 1:07:05Speaker 1: read your list to setna from first right then at noon.
- 1:07:12Speaker 1: Starting at noon, Sennah will see all the kids that
- 1:07:18Speaker 1: are winders. Whin you win a lot. I don't want
- 1:07:27Speaker 1: to check your ass up way to noon. This what
- 1:07:35Speaker 1: time is the trail Noon for the ones, not the windings.
- 1:07:45Speaker 1: That's very different. Now between three and five, this is important.
- 1:07:54Speaker 1: Three and five, Santa gonna deal with the kids that
- 1:07:58Speaker 1: JA won't sit steal, kids that fidgit and any children
- 1:08:08Speaker 1: that might bite bite because from three to the black
- 1:08:15Speaker 1: Santa sit in and he gonna deal with the kids
- 1:08:20Speaker 1: and let the bite and fit sit your as still
- 1:08:24Speaker 1: bite me, I'm gonna bite you back. You know you
- 1:08:26Speaker 1: gotta hear stuff like that. I'm gonna bite you back
- 1:08:33Speaker 1: to grip them up. Okay, Now from then until seven, uh,
- 1:08:43Speaker 1: this is towards the end of the day. Come on
- 1:08:47Speaker 1: from then that'll be from five to seven, all loud
- 1:08:53Speaker 1: criers and and kids that's afraid of sound. Save them.
- 1:09:00Speaker 1: Scary asked you later on a day day. So if
- 1:09:04Speaker 1: you know your baby gonna hol aloud and as afraid
- 1:09:08Speaker 1: of center, bring him every day. We're gonna on that
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: day we're gonna bring in us. We're gonna bring us
- 1:09:13Speaker 1: skinny or Santa clause in it, so he ain't as imposing.
- 1:09:17Speaker 1: Maybe cut down on some of the crime, but that's
- 1:09:20Speaker 1: right after the black Santa get through snatching or knocking
- 1:09:23Speaker 1: a couple of kids. Then listen very carefully, just critical,
- 1:09:31Speaker 1: right before closing. Now we're only gonna take ten ofdes
- 1:09:37Speaker 1: a day, so you gotta make an appointment. Only tends
- 1:09:40Speaker 1: a day, Okay, very important. These are kids who pee
- 1:09:48Speaker 1: on center. What your child, I gonna take a ten
- 1:09:53Speaker 1: a day he on center. This is at the end
- 1:09:57Speaker 1: of the day that we're only gonna take tea. Santa
- 1:10:01Speaker 1: got some special gear made. We're gonna switch him out
- 1:10:05Speaker 1: from the skinny center bring back fat center. Man, he
- 1:10:09Speaker 1: ain't really that fat. It's just he got on a
- 1:10:11Speaker 1: lot of absorbing clothes and so towards the end ten
- 1:10:18Speaker 1: a day, that's all we're doing because we got enough
- 1:10:22Speaker 1: absorbing pans on them where he can soak up ten peas. Okay,
- 1:10:28Speaker 1: so we're just doing ten. If your baby not be
- 1:10:31Speaker 1: living in light, he gotta come back to maw. We
- 1:10:34Speaker 1: try to get him in there, but it's at the
- 1:10:36Speaker 1: end of the day. That way with Santah take his
- 1:10:38Speaker 1: suit off, we can bring it about it. So that's
- 1:10:48Speaker 1: our schedule. So please, if your children fit in there anywhere,
- 1:10:54Speaker 1: you know you're being able to know where your child
- 1:10:56Speaker 1: fits in all that love, ass crying and all that
- 1:11:00Speaker 1: you know when your child is going whiners. You know,
- 1:11:04Speaker 1: kids with long list, just know where you're child, But
- 1:11:07Speaker 1: especially those that peon sounder. End of the day, only
- 1:11:12Speaker 1: ten of them and if your baby big, then we
- 1:11:18Speaker 1: just gonna do nine. That's a lot, right, You can't
- 1:11:25Speaker 1: have nobody breaking loose like a great day. Don't bring
- 1:11:28Speaker 1: them peers up there early because they're not gonna see.
- 1:11:32Speaker 1: If your peon sunda early and we informed you about that,
- 1:11:35Speaker 1: we will sue you. You're gonna sue the kids. The
- 1:11:39Speaker 1: children now we're gonna sue mama because they know, they
- 1:11:43Speaker 1: know that they told you a time to bring a
- 1:11:45Speaker 1: little all of this to be posted at Mason's. And
- 1:11:56Speaker 1: I got a crazy list. That's where he got. I
- 1:11:59Speaker 1: gotta come back. What is Santa doing from noon to
- 1:12:04Speaker 1: three after he sees the winers, Well, he gonna take
- 1:12:07Speaker 1: a break because he gonna go smoke that break to five.
- 1:12:13Speaker 1: You're listening to the show. Well, guys, the holidays, you know,
- 1:12:20Speaker 1: are supposed to be a time for peace and love
- 1:12:23Speaker 1: and joy and all of that. You know, well, we
- 1:12:26Speaker 1: all know the truth. It's usually filled with tons of stress,
- 1:12:29Speaker 1: plenty of arguments. So how bad does it get you ask? Well,
- 1:12:34Speaker 1: according to a brand new survey, eighty eight percent that's
- 1:12:38Speaker 1: a lot of people. Eighty eight percent of respondents say
- 1:12:43Speaker 1: they get stressed out celebrating the holidays, with the average
- 1:12:47Speaker 1: couple having seven arguments throughout the season. Seven, that's a lot.
- 1:12:53Speaker 1: That's a lot. That's a lot living up to the
- 1:12:55Speaker 1: expectations of Christmas. Man, because what you see on television
- 1:12:59Speaker 1: ano is what you got in your house. So I've
- 1:13:03Speaker 1: never had that on TV. No, we never had that Christmas,
- 1:13:08Speaker 1: all right, So let's never had the Christmas. The Christmas
- 1:13:15Speaker 1: I've had. I've woken up to my dad and his
- 1:13:17Speaker 1: drawn passed out in the floor. I got to step
- 1:13:21Speaker 1: up with him to go play with my toys. I
- 1:13:23Speaker 1: can top that one. I can definitely talk. You're always
- 1:13:26Speaker 1: so come on what my Christmas is? Always had all
- 1:13:30Speaker 1: I asked my parents to do. My mom and my
- 1:13:33Speaker 1: dad to get my bicycle fixed. But Christmas not abdy
- 1:13:39Speaker 1: a one. Just get just get me a flat. Get
- 1:13:42Speaker 1: fixed the flat and I can ride with everybody else
- 1:13:45Speaker 1: who had a bite. I go downstairs on Christmas, all
- 1:13:51Speaker 1: I see is pajama tops and pajama bottoms. I don't
- 1:13:54Speaker 1: I'm not saying who had on what? Okay, and they
- 1:13:58Speaker 1: was passed the hell out, That's all I'm saying. I
- 1:14:02Speaker 1: saw pajama tops, and I saw pajama bottoms and passed out.
- 1:14:06Speaker 1: You didn't get your bike fixed, didn't get the bike fixed?
- 1:14:10Speaker 1: You got you got an old new bike. It just
- 1:14:12Speaker 1: don't work a nice bike. Six. Just fix the flat.
- 1:14:19Speaker 1: And that was easy back in the day, right to
- 1:14:21Speaker 1: fix the flat on the bottom. That was simple that
- 1:14:25Speaker 1: you actually blow it up with your lips to tire.
- 1:14:30Speaker 1: You put that patch on that jay. Yeah, back up, Okay,
- 1:14:34Speaker 1: So listen, guys, I see. Well here, here's what people
- 1:14:38Speaker 1: are fighting about. The biggest source of arguments is deciding
- 1:14:42Speaker 1: where to spend the holidays. Okay, you want to spend
- 1:14:45Speaker 1: it with your side of the family. She wants to
- 1:14:46Speaker 1: spend it with family. Yeah. All of that, okay, followed
- 1:14:50Speaker 1: by how much money you're gonna spend on gifts. I
- 1:14:54Speaker 1: think gifts, it's so overrated. We do too much with that. Whatever. However,
- 1:15:01Speaker 1: I don't even hear you right now. I don't even
- 1:15:04Speaker 1: hear you all that in the mall, just dragging bags
- 1:15:08Speaker 1: and trying to we can y'all get it in it's
- 1:15:14Speaker 1: too much money. Some money with you. I do too,
- 1:15:21Speaker 1: That's what it's come up to, you man, Just give
- 1:15:23Speaker 1: him the money. Yeah. I don't have the patience anymore
- 1:15:25Speaker 1: to shop for everyone else, because if I go Christmas shopping,
- 1:15:28Speaker 1: everything is for me, every me, but I did that's cute, Yeah,
- 1:15:43Speaker 1: buying present it's me exactly, Well, I don't I need
- 1:15:48Speaker 1: one of these? Plait a minute? Yeah, so um, you know,
- 1:15:52Speaker 1: so we know from Jay his stress from the holiday
- 1:15:55Speaker 1: was not getting his butt. Yeah, yeah, well you went child?
- 1:15:59Speaker 1: Who on this? Jay? But what about now as an adult?
- 1:16:03Speaker 1: You know they're talking about the arguments, right sir. You
- 1:16:07Speaker 1: know what I've been out what I don't know what
- 1:16:09Speaker 1: I've been doing. I've been now since they don't get
- 1:16:12Speaker 1: me what I want? Who tell my wife and my kids? Yeah?
- 1:16:16Speaker 1: You know, you know they say I have everything, so
- 1:16:19Speaker 1: they don't get me. You know, they don't know what
- 1:16:20Speaker 1: to get. So I go out and I buy four
- 1:16:22Speaker 1: or five gifts from me, get them wrapped. Yeah, I
- 1:16:26Speaker 1: put them under the tree from time and to a time. Yeah,
- 1:16:30Speaker 1: I am the most exceeded person. When I opened it
- 1:16:33Speaker 1: up on Christmas date, Oh my god, look what I
- 1:16:36Speaker 1: got me? I saw that commercial time y'all Walmart? Did
- 1:16:41Speaker 1: you see what a lady m? Yeah? Yeah, I mean
- 1:16:47Speaker 1: I would excited for clients. But my stress for Christmas
- 1:16:51Speaker 1: is like my daughter is so the opposite of me.
- 1:16:54Speaker 1: I could not sleep Christmas Eve waiting on Christmas. Get up?
- 1:16:59Speaker 1: She gets up. I mean, we have the Christmas tree,
- 1:17:01Speaker 1: all decorated, presents, all under the tree, twelve o'clock. She's
- 1:17:05Speaker 1: still sleeping one o'clock. This is in the aftern next
- 1:17:10Speaker 1: day Christmas, Like, what, who whose kid are you? That
- 1:17:18Speaker 1: was my stress for Christmas? My daughter never she never
- 1:17:21Speaker 1: got up early enough. I'm gonna say this, no sex
- 1:17:25Speaker 1: on Christmas. It's very stressful. I'm just saying. I mean,
- 1:17:30Speaker 1: that's my guilt. Wait, wait about someone Holiday stress? A
- 1:17:33Speaker 1: lot of people out that's the day. You know we
- 1:17:35Speaker 1: should do that. We should all pitch in and get
- 1:17:38Speaker 1: Jay a bike. We should all pitch in and get
- 1:17:40Speaker 1: Jay a bike. I mean, you know, just with a
- 1:17:42Speaker 1: new bike for you, new bike and run it all right,
- 1:17:47Speaker 1: we gotta go, Danny, Brown for the Steve having one
- 1:17:52Speaker 1: to show. The question is who's the person in your
- 1:17:56Speaker 1: family or in your life that's always burn money? My sister,
- 1:18:00Speaker 1: she owes you money right now? How much I'm not
- 1:18:02Speaker 1: even gonna stay my son, my cousins, my cousin as well,
- 1:18:06Speaker 1: my sister. But is a giveaway you don't even look
- 1:18:08Speaker 1: for it back? No? No, Also my brother begging Billy,
- 1:18:13Speaker 1: if you could get the money back that your brother
- 1:18:15Speaker 1: owes you right now, how much would it be? Hundreds
- 1:18:18Speaker 1: of dollars? Hundreds of dollars, thousands of dollars? I jan
- 1:18:23Speaker 1: around with the Steve. I reminded, Joe, who's the person
- 1:18:25Speaker 1: in your family that's always borrowing money? Herr answer is
- 1:18:31Speaker 1: there too. You know what, it's not borried If I
- 1:18:34Speaker 1: don't give it back, it's not born. My sister, if
- 1:18:42Speaker 1: she paid you back right now, how much would it be?
- 1:18:45Speaker 1: Who was the ten thousand dollars? Oh? My dad, does
- 1:18:51Speaker 1: he owe your money right now? No? Actually doesn't. My
- 1:18:54Speaker 1: sister if she paid you back right now, how much
- 1:18:56Speaker 1: would it be? Four hundred dollars? Or one of my uncles,
- 1:19:01Speaker 1: how much does he owe you right now? Probably a
- 1:19:04Speaker 1: couple of hundred do you think you'll ever see that. No,
- 1:19:07Speaker 1: he never pays his bets back me. You owe your
- 1:19:13Speaker 1: sister money. Yeah, you paid a rout. How much would
- 1:19:16Speaker 1: it be now? Five hundred? I'm pretty good? Pretty good?
- 1:19:20Speaker 1: Damn it? Round for the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Who's
- 1:19:23Speaker 1: the person in your family is always borrowing money? It's
- 1:19:26Speaker 1: Steve's Steve Harvey. Steve didn't borrow no money from you?
- 1:19:31Speaker 1: Money from it? How much does he? You're right now,
- 1:19:34Speaker 1: a lot of money because I said this suit never
- 1:19:36Speaker 1: come favorite forty my children if they paid you back
- 1:19:40Speaker 1: right now, how much would it be? Oh, a million dollars?
- 1:19:42Speaker 1: For a million dollars? These your kids right here, they're
- 1:19:46Speaker 1: shopping right now, and then not pulling out any money.
- 1:19:50Speaker 1: No money, no money. You're listening to Steve Harvey Morning
- 1:19:55Speaker 1: Show now. According to a report published an American psychologist,
- 1:20:00Speaker 1: people who listen to others without actually seeing them are
- 1:20:03Speaker 1: better able to determine that person's emotional state. The tone
- 1:20:08Speaker 1: of a person's voice expresses emotion more than the face,
- 1:20:11Speaker 1: where it's easier to hide such emotions less. It's more
- 1:20:16Speaker 1: when trying to figure out how people feel, because when
- 1:20:18Speaker 1: you are just listening to a person you are focused
- 1:20:21Speaker 1: on just that, But if you're both listening and looking,
- 1:20:25Speaker 1: your attention is divided. So, Steve, do you think you're
- 1:20:28Speaker 1: a good listener? Oh? Yeah, absolutely, Yeah, you have to,
- 1:20:35Speaker 1: you know, for a man. For a man, I'm a
- 1:20:37Speaker 1: good listener. I'm qualify that remark. Yeah, I mean, you know,
- 1:20:42Speaker 1: because we do listen different. I'll admit that I think
- 1:20:45Speaker 1: women are far superior at it. But for a man,
- 1:20:49Speaker 1: I'm a good listener. Yeah. And you have to, you
- 1:20:51Speaker 1: have to be in your line of work. But you
- 1:20:53Speaker 1: know the reason women listen because there's a more of
- 1:20:57Speaker 1: a richer and deeper exchange. We listened just to the
- 1:21:02Speaker 1: point where we can provide a solution and then we
- 1:21:06Speaker 1: wants to move on to something else. Women women dig
- 1:21:10Speaker 1: into it a lot deeper, and Richard, we just try
- 1:21:13Speaker 1: to provide a solution. Yeah, we want all the facts.
- 1:21:16Speaker 1: What happened, then what he said? Then what did she said? Girl?
- 1:21:21Speaker 1: And then and then what happened? Yeah, see we don't
- 1:21:24Speaker 1: need all that. Huh, what do you need? What do
- 1:21:27Speaker 1: you we? Just what you trying to get out of it? Listen?
- 1:21:32Speaker 1: Call him and tell him no, and dot what what?
- 1:21:37Speaker 1: I got it down to a sign. I can actually
- 1:21:39Speaker 1: be on the phone with my wife. I know when
- 1:21:41Speaker 1: to say uh huh, what what? What? Really? And not?
- 1:21:45Speaker 1: But not listening to none of but know how to
- 1:21:47Speaker 1: jump in. Let me stop you because she's listening right now.
- 1:21:51Speaker 1: So are you sure you want to? Huh? But he's
- 1:21:56Speaker 1: not listening. Who oh my god? Okay, hey, we need
- 1:22:03Speaker 1: to go down now. H huh. So so your uncle
- 1:22:09Speaker 1: listens to provide a solution. You don't listen at all.
- 1:22:13Speaker 1: I listened to get through the day. What what? What?
- 1:22:17Speaker 1: So you don't care? You don't care? Who? What? Where's Jordan? Who? Okay? No? Yeah,
- 1:22:25Speaker 1: uh huh? He engaged? He makes her think she's engaging
- 1:22:31Speaker 1: the phone. You got the phone on speaker. You lying
- 1:22:35Speaker 1: and it's just what sitting down there and you're just women?
- 1:22:41Speaker 1: Are you acting? Are you acting? Are you in character? Absolutely? Hum?
- 1:22:47Speaker 1: Play that again? Not not? It did? What? Not? Lord hammer?
- 1:22:56Speaker 1: WI said? Are you listening to me? What do you say? Babe?
- 1:22:59Speaker 1: I'm here that thing you're saying, you're gonna hear that part.
- 1:23:02Speaker 1: You're gonna hear that. Okay, Well tell me what I
- 1:23:05Speaker 1: just said. Oh that's what I hate when they do. Okay, Okay,
- 1:23:10Speaker 1: well tell me what I just said. Tell me what
- 1:23:11Speaker 1: I just said. That I heard you. Now you're you're
- 1:23:16Speaker 1: trapped at that point. Get out of that. Still, Tell
- 1:23:19Speaker 1: me what I just said. I said, you just said,
- 1:23:20Speaker 1: Tell you what you just say? Tell me what I
- 1:23:24Speaker 1: just said. Don't get cute with it. You know what
- 1:23:27Speaker 1: I mean? Well, what do you think I should do?
- 1:23:30Speaker 1: But what I mean? You know, I mean, I mean
- 1:23:34Speaker 1: probably really honestly, don't honestly, don't call it, y'all. Just
- 1:23:37Speaker 1: pray about it. So should I take all the money
- 1:23:42Speaker 1: out of the bank. No, No, we need to pray
- 1:23:48Speaker 1: about it. Right, you're having at he said, No, he said,
- 1:23:56Speaker 1: all right, we'll be back right after this. You're listening
- 1:24:00Speaker 1: Dave Harvey Morning showing the Round for the Steve Harvey
- 1:24:03Speaker 1: Morning Show Man in the Street. Very simple question. The
- 1:24:06Speaker 1: question is what is your favorite Christmas song? Joy to

- 1:24:31Speaker 1: little bit for me No, Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays by
- 1:24:36Speaker 1: in Sync, jingle Bells, jingle Bells, jingle bells, a rock,
- 1:24:40Speaker 1: jingle bell rocking, No, no, no, no happing ding in
- 1:24:45Speaker 1: then night o wait, Merry Christmas, Pretty Baby, Christmas, pretty Baby?
- 1:24:49Speaker 1: But Yahn Brown? What's your favorite Christmas song? Like that one?
- 1:24:53Speaker 1: Joy to the World, Silent Night, Oh Holy Night, Santa
- 1:24:56Speaker 1: Claus on the Ghetto, Chestnuts Roasting Christmas Carol. I like
- 1:25:00Speaker 1: the Mariah Carryway. That's That's one of my favorite songs.
- 1:25:03Speaker 1: I loved that. The question today is what is your
- 1:25:06Speaker 1: favorite Christmas song? Man Felice rocking around the Christmas Tree?
- 1:25:12Speaker 1: Hang of the Mistletoe. I'm gonna get no, you better.
- 1:25:19Speaker 1: What's the name of that one? This Christmas fireside? Plasing bride? Nor?
- 1:25:26Speaker 1: Can you sing a little bit? What is Christmas? Singing?

- 1:25:38Speaker 1: Charlie Brown Christmas the Oh Christmas Tree? Oh No, that's
- 1:25:43Speaker 1: not it? Is it? No, it's the other one. It's
- 1:25:45Speaker 1: the is that that is My favorite Christmas song is
- 1:25:49Speaker 1: Santa Claus Comes to the Ghetto by Snoop Dogg and
- 1:25:52Speaker 1: Nate Dog. You're listening show Stave, we're here, uh at
- 1:25:58Speaker 1: the last break of the day. Just one more thing.
- 1:26:00Speaker 1: You're closing remarks, What do you have for us today
- 1:26:03Speaker 1: to take us into the weekend? Steve Well, I think
- 1:26:07Speaker 1: I should talk about dreams because it's such a major
- 1:26:11Speaker 1: component to your success. Dreams are such an important component
- 1:26:19Speaker 1: to success. You can't underplay dreams. See let me tell
- 1:26:24Speaker 1: you something. Education is necessary for certain fields and professions.
- 1:26:34Speaker 1: You want to be a doctor, a lawyer, a dentist,
- 1:26:39Speaker 1: a pilot, a scientist, a teacher. Education is so necessary
- 1:26:47Speaker 1: for many professions in this world. But there is nothing,
- 1:26:54Speaker 1: and I repeat, there is nothing more important than your dreams.
- 1:27:01Speaker 1: Your dreams have value. Your dreams wake you up in
- 1:27:06Speaker 1: the morning. The dreams give you hope. You know, I'm
- 1:27:12Speaker 1: not saying education doesn't do that. But education don't wake
- 1:27:15Speaker 1: you up in the morning. It's what you dream and
- 1:27:19Speaker 1: hope of becoming with the education that wakes you up.
- 1:27:24Speaker 1: It is your dream that causes you to even get
- 1:27:28Speaker 1: an education. If you want to fly a plane and
- 1:27:33Speaker 1: that's your dream, your dream will cause you to do
- 1:27:37Speaker 1: the things necessary to accomplish the dream That's why I
- 1:27:43Speaker 1: tell people educators in all, if we spent more time
- 1:27:47Speaker 1: talking to our children in our school system about their
- 1:27:50Speaker 1: dreams and visions, we can reduce the dropout rate. But
- 1:27:54Speaker 1: what we're doing is we keep talking to kids about
- 1:27:57Speaker 1: the education, and we're not talking about the kids for
- 1:28:00Speaker 1: the reason for the education. You gotta get your education,
- 1:28:03Speaker 1: because you gotta finish school. Finish school for what we have.
- 1:28:08Speaker 1: Got to take time out to talk about the dreams
- 1:28:11Speaker 1: and visions. I tell parents all the time. If you're
- 1:28:14Speaker 1: not talking to your kids about dreams every ninety days,
- 1:28:19Speaker 1: that's a mistake. Man, that's a mistake because young people
- 1:28:23Speaker 1: change more often than you think. But if you're not
- 1:28:27Speaker 1: revamping your dreams every ninety days as an adult, you're
- 1:28:31Speaker 1: making a mistake because guess what you change also now
- 1:28:35Speaker 1: you know may not change as often as your children,
- 1:28:38Speaker 1: because you become a little bit more subtle when you're older.
- 1:28:41Speaker 1: But you've got to refurbish these dreams. You gotta dust
- 1:28:44Speaker 1: them off. You gotta keep reminding yourself or what the
- 1:28:46Speaker 1: purpose is, because the dream provides purpose. You wake up
- 1:28:51Speaker 1: in the morning because of what you dream to be.
- 1:28:54Speaker 1: You get excited when the lawn clock. Get our goals
- 1:28:57Speaker 1: off because of what you dream to be. Man, don't
- 1:29:01Speaker 1: let nobody fool you. Now, listen to me. I'm gonna
- 1:29:04Speaker 1: say this again. Education is important and it's critical to
- 1:29:07Speaker 1: certain things in life, but you can actually make it
- 1:29:12Speaker 1: in this world without one. Now, do you need to
- 1:29:16Speaker 1: have some basics under your belt? I strongly suggest you do.
- 1:29:19Speaker 1: And I'm not saying at all that you don't need school.
- 1:29:22Speaker 1: Because you do. School offers you a way to become
- 1:29:26Speaker 1: well rounded. That's the thing that school does for you
- 1:29:30Speaker 1: a great deal. It not only educates you, it gives
- 1:29:33Speaker 1: you social skills. It teaches you how to be well rounded.
- 1:29:36Speaker 1: It teaches you how to adapt. It teaches you the
- 1:29:38Speaker 1: tool of memorization. So I'm not knocking it at all.
- 1:29:42Speaker 1: But what I am saying to you, if you are
- 1:29:45Speaker 1: like me in any way and you're just not a
- 1:29:47Speaker 1: school person, what you're gonna do? You can still be something.
- 1:29:52Speaker 1: If you've blown your education opportunity in life, you can
- 1:29:56Speaker 1: still be something. If you just don't feel like you
- 1:29:59Speaker 1: can do school again, you can still be something. Because
- 1:30:02Speaker 1: the scripture says a man without a dream or vision
- 1:30:05Speaker 1: shall perish. I'm old the Bible inside out. I don't
- 1:30:10Speaker 1: know it. I didn't go to theology school anything, so
- 1:30:13Speaker 1: I can't quote it like people can oftentimes. But I
- 1:30:17Speaker 1: don't really don't recall ever going to Sunday School or
- 1:30:23Speaker 1: any service I've ever been to and read a scripture
- 1:30:26Speaker 1: about how necessary your education was. But I have seen
- 1:30:31Speaker 1: repeatedly that a man without a dream or vision shall perish.
- 1:30:36Speaker 1: See the reason You'll die without the dream of the vision,
- 1:30:39Speaker 1: because without the dream of the vision, you'll give up hope.
- 1:30:43Speaker 1: You've heard that so many people say, keep hope alive
- 1:30:47Speaker 1: because it's necessary. The dream, the vision. What you see
- 1:30:51Speaker 1: for yourself, your hope for tomorrow, that impossible thing that
- 1:30:56Speaker 1: nobody else can see except you, that thing that's around
- 1:31:00Speaker 1: in your imagination, that keeps pushing you to make you
- 1:31:03Speaker 1: think that's something out there other than this. For me,
- 1:31:08Speaker 1: If you wake up in the morning and you keep
- 1:31:10Speaker 1: saying yourself, man, that's got to be more to my
- 1:31:13Speaker 1: life than this, that's because it is. That's because it is.
- 1:31:18Speaker 1: Your visions and dreams are out there. And let me
- 1:31:22Speaker 1: tell you something else. You got to make your dreams
- 1:31:27Speaker 1: and visions so big, so big that it causes you
- 1:31:35Speaker 1: to overcome all of your fears. See the fear of
- 1:31:38Speaker 1: failures in number one cause of failure in this country,
- 1:31:41Speaker 1: because people are afraid to fail. But you have to
- 1:31:44Speaker 1: have dreams and visions so big that it just overcomes
- 1:31:49Speaker 1: all of your fears. You've got to want something so big,
- 1:31:53Speaker 1: so dynamic to happen in your life. Man, that you've
- 1:31:57Speaker 1: got to make this happen, and the fear is secondary
- 1:32:01Speaker 1: to all of it, and it will cause you to
- 1:32:03Speaker 1: push through. You've got to dream of something so outstanding
- 1:32:08Speaker 1: that in order for it to have to in order
- 1:32:10Speaker 1: for it to happen, you absolutely have to have God's help.
- 1:32:13Speaker 1: If you're dreaming of only stuff that you can accomplish yourself,
- 1:32:16Speaker 1: I got news for you. You ain't dreaming big enough.
- 1:32:19Speaker 1: Start dreaming big. Appreciate dreams. They will change your life.
- 1:32:22Speaker 1: It will change your perspective, It will cause your hope
- 1:32:25Speaker 1: to grow. All right, those are my closing remarks. All right, Steve,
