- 0:00Speaker 1: Today's show is pre recorded. Y'all know what time y'all
- 0:05Speaker 1: don't know. Y'all have a sun giving them like the
- 0:15Speaker 1: million bucks. Things in the stubbings not good. It hastening
- 0:24Speaker 1: together to pay. I don't join join with me. You
- 0:59Speaker 1: gotta turn. You're going to do arm You gotta turn
- 1:41Speaker 1: to turn them out. Turn. You haven't got to turn
- 1:44Speaker 1: them out to turn the water to the water. Got me?
- 1:55Speaker 1: Come come on your baby? Uh huh, po's your will?
- 2:03Speaker 1: Good morning everybody. You're listening to the voice. Come on
- 2:07Speaker 1: dig me now, one and only Steve Harvey got a
- 2:11Speaker 1: radio show. Okay. I want to share something with you
- 2:16Speaker 1: that I had to come to the realization one time,
- 2:19Speaker 1: and even in the reinvention of myself right now, I've
- 2:23Speaker 1: had to come to that and I want to share
- 2:24Speaker 1: it with you today. Give it to you. I want
- 2:28Speaker 1: to tell you about something that a lot of people
- 2:30Speaker 1: do in their life, and I want you to be
- 2:33Speaker 1: aware of it. Here it is, don't get stuck on yourself.
- 2:40Speaker 1: You could be wrong. You know I said, don't get
- 2:47Speaker 1: stuck on yourself. You could be wrong. You know. The
- 2:54Speaker 1: reason I'm saying this is because people have a tendency
- 3:02Speaker 1: to once they make a decision about something, or once
- 3:05Speaker 1: they decide to go a certain path, they go against
- 3:09Speaker 1: all everything, anything anybody says, anything anybody might do, any
- 3:16Speaker 1: other ruling they may come across. They shun advice, They
- 3:23Speaker 1: don't listen to counsel. They just I made the decision.
- 3:31Speaker 1: I'm gonna do it anyway. Don't get stuck on yourself.
- 3:36Speaker 1: You could be wrong, you know. Now here's a sure
- 3:40Speaker 1: fire way to tell if you're wrong. If you don't
- 3:46Speaker 1: see any movement in the direction you've chosen, if you
- 3:54Speaker 1: don't see anything going right in that decision, if you
- 4:01Speaker 1: feel as though you're interrupt if the wall you're climbing
- 4:07Speaker 1: seems so insurmountable that you ain't even moving an inch,
- 4:13Speaker 1: and every time you turn around you keep getting knocked
- 4:16Speaker 1: by down, knocked back down. Don't get stuck on yourself.
- 4:19Speaker 1: You know you could be wrong. You know. See, that's
- 4:23Speaker 1: why it's important for people to always be open to
- 4:27Speaker 1: the reinvention of yourself. You know, you cannot be afraid
- 4:33Speaker 1: to reinvent yourself. In other words, you can't be afraid
- 4:38Speaker 1: to change. Change is necessary when it comes to growth.
- 4:44Speaker 1: There is no growth without change. The more you know,
- 4:49Speaker 1: the older you look. That is no growth without change.
- 4:56Speaker 1: If you're heading in a direction, it ain't nothing going
- 4:58Speaker 1: right in your life. Could it be the wrong direction.
- 5:02Speaker 1: If you're climbing and you're making no headway, could it
- 5:05Speaker 1: be the wrong direction? Could you have possibly made the
- 5:10Speaker 1: wrong choice. Don't get stuck on yourself, because you never
- 5:13Speaker 1: made the wrong self. It's okay to forgive yourself. It's
- 5:16Speaker 1: okay to let yourself off the hook. It's even smarter
- 5:20Speaker 1: sometimes to admit that you were wrong. You ever met
- 5:22Speaker 1: somebody ain't ever wrong. Have you ever met somebody you
- 5:27Speaker 1: talk to? They ain't ever wrong about nothing. Man, They
- 5:30Speaker 1: just it's their way or the highway. It's this is
- 5:33Speaker 1: my way, this is the I know people like that,
- 5:36Speaker 1: stuck on them powered trips and all like that. You
- 5:38Speaker 1: know what I had to learn how to do. I
- 5:40Speaker 1: had to learn how to let them go on them
- 5:42Speaker 1: power trips. But listen to this. Though you're not taking
- 5:45Speaker 1: me on that trip. Though you're going on that trip
- 5:47Speaker 1: by yourself, I'm going in the right direction. I've decided
- 5:52Speaker 1: to stop the way. Okay, listen to this person. This person,
- 5:57Speaker 1: I decided to stop doing business the way I was
- 6:00Speaker 1: doing business. I decided to stop to allow business being
- 6:05Speaker 1: done around me the way business was being done around me.
- 6:09Speaker 1: You know what, you know, the best decision I made
- 6:12Speaker 1: was to allow for God to have some say so
- 6:18Speaker 1: and to offer me his direction. I have found him
- 6:22Speaker 1: to be a better driver than anyone else I know.
- 6:25Speaker 1: I have found him to know more about the man
- 6:30Speaker 1: he made than anybody else who's merely associating with me.
- 6:36Speaker 1: I have found it to be a fact that my
- 6:38Speaker 1: maker knows more about the vehicle he created than does
- 6:43Speaker 1: anybody else. If you if your Chevy break, don't you
- 6:46Speaker 1: take it to Chevy. You don't take your Forward when
- 6:50Speaker 1: it break down to a Toyota dealership. They not gonna
- 6:54Speaker 1: know everything that the Forward dealership would know about the vehicle.
- 6:57Speaker 1: You know why, because they're not the maker of it.
- 7:01Speaker 1: So now, why are you living? You letting your life
- 7:04Speaker 1: being led, controlled and guided by somebody other than your maker.
- 7:10Speaker 1: I'm just asking you to let's all take a common
- 7:14Speaker 1: sense look at this. So, if going to your maker's
- 7:17Speaker 1: the best way, the best decision I made in my
- 7:19Speaker 1: business was take over my brand myself, and to allow
- 7:25Speaker 1: the maker of this brand see without God, I'm none
- 7:28Speaker 1: of this. I'm none of this. I want you to
- 7:30Speaker 1: clearly understand, I ain't none of this without him. I
- 7:34Speaker 1: wish I could have the guts to reach back there
- 7:38Speaker 1: and pat myself on the back for what I've accomplished
- 7:40Speaker 1: in my life. I wish I had the guts. I
- 7:43Speaker 1: wish the nerve of me because I know for or
- 7:47Speaker 1: fact that there is no way that I could have
- 7:50Speaker 1: manufacted the life that I have. I could not even
- 7:54Speaker 1: have thought of it. It's no way I could have
- 7:57Speaker 1: told you that this was the route I was gonna
- 7:59Speaker 1: take and the outcome because of it. I had no idea,
- 8:03Speaker 1: no clue. The one thing I had, though, was an
- 8:07Speaker 1: unshakable faith in God. I had an I just kept
- 8:13Speaker 1: believing in him. I kept believing that he had something
- 8:17Speaker 1: more for me. And then when I touched base with
- 8:20Speaker 1: him and asked him to show me what it is
- 8:22Speaker 1: what he had for me, Tada, the magic show began.
- 8:26Speaker 1: Because you know what he did. He took all my
- 8:29Speaker 1: natural abilities that he had given to me. This gift
- 8:32Speaker 1: that he gave me, that he poured into me at birth,
- 8:36Speaker 1: that same gift that he poured into you at birth.
- 8:38Speaker 1: The moment you go to him and let him show
- 8:41Speaker 1: you that gift and then guess what. Once he takes
- 8:45Speaker 1: what he naturally put in you and put his super
- 8:49Speaker 1: his superpowers on top of that, then you have some
- 8:52Speaker 1: supernatural things going on in your life, and you may
- 8:55Speaker 1: not be feeling me. I'm cool with that, but I
- 9:00Speaker 1: didn't have some supernatural things happen to me. Every day
- 9:05Speaker 1: I wake up some supernatural the man, the rewards of
- 9:09Speaker 1: my life, the awards of my life, the accomplishments, the
- 9:13Speaker 1: how I'm working, the how I manage it all, all
- 9:16Speaker 1: that ain't none but God. That ain't nothing but God.
- 9:19Speaker 1: You can't even explain this schedule to people. Sometimes when
- 9:22Speaker 1: people ask me, Steve, how do you do it? I go, well,
- 9:25Speaker 1: it's what I manage my time. Then at the end
- 9:26Speaker 1: of when I get through, I say, hey, man, you
- 9:28Speaker 1: know what I need to tell y'all for real, it's God.
- 9:30Speaker 1: I don't really know, but I'm letting him manage me.
- 9:34Speaker 1: So he handling it. He ain't gonna put no more
- 9:36Speaker 1: of it than I can bear. Listen to me, y'all,
- 9:38Speaker 1: don't be afraid to reinvent yourself and remember this. Don't
- 9:42Speaker 1: get stuck on yourself because you could be wrong. You know,
- 9:47Speaker 1: you absolutely could be wrong. If you don't tie this
- 9:51Speaker 1: to your gift, you will be struggling the rest of
- 9:55Speaker 1: your life. You're listening to ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls,
- 10:04Speaker 1: animal trainers, truck drivers, nurses, school teachers, students, pupils, massage therapists,
- 10:15Speaker 1: personal trainers, monkey handlers, zookeepers, veterinarians, engineers, lawyers, any politician.
- 10:27Speaker 1: May I have your undivided attention. Today is the day
- 10:33Speaker 1: that the Lord has made. Let us rejoice and be
- 10:37Speaker 1: glad in it. My mama, you say that to me
- 10:40Speaker 1: all the time on the weal to go to school.
- 10:41Speaker 1: I didn't get it. I got it. Now he made
- 10:46Speaker 1: this day. Might as well rejoice and be glad in
- 10:49Speaker 1: it because this is the only day we have. We
- 10:52Speaker 1: don't have yesterday, and we don't have tomorrow. We got today. Man,
- 10:57Speaker 1: get glad and rejoice and be glad ad in it.
- 11:00Speaker 1: That's how we started. On to Steve Barbin, Martin Show,
- 11:03Speaker 1: Sherley Strawberry, Colin Farrell, Mississippi, Monica Junior alias Killed Space,

- 11:37Speaker 1: Did you do it over there? I don't even remember
- 11:40Speaker 1: putting aside in my mouth. It's all meek holiday. Man.
- 11:48Speaker 1: I barbecue everything, and you know, man as some people
- 11:52Speaker 1: came over to that friend with the kids, you know,
- 11:57Speaker 1: so I barbecu ribs, whole chickens, chicken wings, lamb chops,
- 12:08Speaker 1: chicken sausage, hot legs, or Philamon steaks, and for the
- 12:19Speaker 1: two Pasketerians that was there, some salmon skewers. Okay, all right,
- 12:25Speaker 1: all right for everyone. Yeah, I was out there. I
- 12:30Speaker 1: started barbecueing everyone. When I walked in the house last
- 12:37Speaker 1: night quarter to ten, I'm talking about, man, I smelled
- 12:48Speaker 1: like all my clothes had been on fire and put out.
- 12:56Speaker 1: I smelled like I walked in my office and went
- 13:00Speaker 1: back in it before I showered it with who I
- 13:04Speaker 1: thought the fireplace was over. Man, I had to go
- 13:10Speaker 1: upstairs from right away, Bob. I don't even I don't

- 17:02Speaker 1: I don't do yards. Okay, do you steal? There's nothing
- 17:06Speaker 1: wrong with being a construction worker, for name brick or
- 17:09Speaker 1: doing tile or doing roof, and there's nothing wrong with that. Man,
- 17:13Speaker 1: I got a lot of relatives. I've done those jobs myself,

- 21:39Speaker 1: and he has been a ton of money on weekend getaways.
- 21:43Speaker 1: Is this normal to you? Why won't he come to
- 21:45Speaker 1: my place and stay overnight. Well, he can come to
- 21:49Speaker 1: your place, you can't go to his, So keep it neutral.
- 21:56Speaker 1: What are you talking to about? See? See, here's a deal.
- 22:01Speaker 1: Ain't don't need to him starting going to each other places,
- 22:04Speaker 1: because then if he go to your place, you're gonna
- 22:06Speaker 1: want to go to his. You can't come to his house,
- 22:11Speaker 1: you cannot come. So we're gonna get this hotel and
- 22:16Speaker 1: we're gonna do this weekend get away. And the reason
- 22:19Speaker 1: you can't come to his room is because it's a
- 22:23Speaker 1: playpn in now. Come on, Swaying said, huh, it's a
- 22:30Speaker 1: couple of school desk in now and he not gonna ain't.
- 22:34Speaker 1: Ain't nowhere for you to put your perfume because there's
- 22:37Speaker 1: already something in there and the toothbrushholder is full. Okay,
- 22:44Speaker 1: get it. Ain't nowhere in the world. Y'all can be
- 22:47Speaker 1: in there in private with them other people in that
- 22:50Speaker 1: house that ain't gonna mention nothing. Mamaha, come daddy, don't close. Yeah, yeah,
- 22:57Speaker 1: uh huh. Next question, Yeah, of a occupiscy Yeah uh huh.
- 23:04Speaker 1: All right, here we go. Chanice in Germantown says, I'm
- 23:07Speaker 1: married to a man that loves being on Instagram all
- 23:11Speaker 1: day and night. He sends me memes and pictures from
- 23:14Speaker 1: other people's pages, but he never notices anything I post.
- 23:18Speaker 1: I asked him if he sees my pictures, and he said, yeah,
- 23:22Speaker 1: you're cute. If he sees it, why won't he like it?
- 23:25Speaker 1: In comment? What's up with him? Oh? What's up with you? Yeah?
- 23:31Speaker 1: I mean, y y'all's whole relationship with social media. Why
- 23:38Speaker 1: don't you just come to terms with that? You're in
- 23:41Speaker 1: a social media relationship and social media relationships that you know, yall.
- 23:47Speaker 1: Y'all's relationship is based on social media, has been on
- 23:49Speaker 1: how many likes? Comments, like to mention now you you here?
- 23:54Speaker 1: You mad? At you? Mad that he don't like and
- 23:57Speaker 1: comment on none it yo picture? When your problem is
- 24:02Speaker 1: that's all he do is comment on stuff. When the
- 24:05Speaker 1: last time he made a comment to you about you,
- 24:10Speaker 1: not your post, just to you and about you, about
- 24:14Speaker 1: y'all's future, about what y'all doing, what y'all think, and
- 24:16Speaker 1: how y'all feeling. See, those are the comments you're looking for,
- 24:20Speaker 1: But all you're interested in and all you're getting is
- 24:22Speaker 1: post comments. Wow, So dare you have it? That's what's
- 24:27Speaker 1: up with him? Yeah? Okay, so you don't really have
- 24:29Speaker 1: to date him. You could just date the internet. That's
- 24:33Speaker 1: whoa since she likes likes and comments, all right, that's
- 24:39Speaker 1: because they do a lot of that on their huh.
- 24:41Speaker 1: All right? Moving on to Christie and Virginia Beach. Christie
- 24:44Speaker 1: right to my mother introduced me to her co worker,
- 24:47Speaker 1: and we hit it off and started dating. My mother
- 24:49Speaker 1: got a promotion and she's my boyfriend's boss. Now he
- 24:53Speaker 1: said that he's starting to hate my mother and she's
- 24:56Speaker 1: the worst boss he's ever had. Should I I've event
- 25:00Speaker 1: or tell him to stop talking about my mama like that. Well,
- 25:06Speaker 1: I don't know how how you gonna handle it. Don't
- 25:08Speaker 1: nobody talk about my mama, So tell about something else,
- 25:13Speaker 1: don't different. I don't care what my mama did. You
- 25:19Speaker 1: bet not say nothing about it. Tell her daughter that
- 25:26Speaker 1: you hate her her mother? How are you telling her
- 25:29Speaker 1: daughter that? What is wrong with you? I got suspended
- 25:34Speaker 1: at school while my mama was at the school for
- 25:40Speaker 1: the teacher's conference. I got suspended in front of her
- 25:46Speaker 1: and my daddy. Why why? What happened? Who? Who found
- 25:51Speaker 1: our old grandmother's this cool? Ain't no problem. I ain't
- 25:56Speaker 1: got to check with who you're talking about, because I
- 25:58Speaker 1: pretty much know who you're talking about, because my mama
- 26:00Speaker 1: was old and everybody else Mama, I got it. I
- 26:02Speaker 1: know exactly who you're talking about. Will let me help you?
- 26:07Speaker 1: Little boy? Public school, the one you beat down in
- 26:13Speaker 1: front of everybody when they took me home, they took
- 26:17Speaker 1: home a suspended child. Everybody was a principal, everybody. So
- 26:27Speaker 1: and I've been that way mind entire life. So I
- 26:29Speaker 1: don't know what to tell you when you ain't talking
- 26:32Speaker 1: about my mama? Now, what should you do? Now? What
- 26:35Speaker 1: I would do? And treat us ass like we was
- 26:37Speaker 1: at the parent? Teacher comes, that's what boyfriend, That's what
- 26:42Speaker 1: I do. Now? What you gonna do here? Ask him
- 26:47Speaker 1: to keep your mother's name out your mouth? Okay? Or
- 26:52Speaker 1: else my mama's name your blank your mouth? All right?
- 27:03Speaker 1: All right? Fair enough? Moving on last one. Steve Wanda
- 27:07Speaker 1: embOS your city says. I have a neighbor that has
- 27:10Speaker 1: sex with one of our other neighbors, and she never
- 27:13Speaker 1: closes her blinds, so I watch with binoculars. I told
- 27:18Speaker 1: another neighbor what I do, and she told on me.
- 27:23Speaker 1: Now it's awkward when I see my neighbor. Do I
- 27:26Speaker 1: bring it up and apologize or never admit to doing
- 27:29Speaker 1: anything wrong? Do I ever admit to doing nothing wrong?
- 27:36Speaker 1: You've got you do is tell her you was walking
- 27:38Speaker 1: down the street and saw you one time and mentioned
- 27:41Speaker 1: it to the lady. You ain't even got no binoculars. MM.
- 27:45Speaker 1: Why did he tell his other neighbor anyway? M why
- 27:54Speaker 1: wander Wanda? It wrote the wrote it and she she
- 27:58Speaker 1: she's the one that watched her neighbors. Yes, because he
- 28:04Speaker 1: but see, I I think Wanda told another woman this,
- 28:08Speaker 1: and the woman told the other woman. Uh huh, that's
- 28:11Speaker 1: exactly what happened. Yeah, so that's what happened. So you know,
- 28:16Speaker 1: you just see if I don't care, I ain't saying nothing.
- 28:19Speaker 1: I ain't told nothing. I ain't got a little damn enough.
- 28:21Speaker 1: If I see you doing it, I'm watching it. Okay,
- 28:23Speaker 1: if I see you doing it, I'm watching it. But
- 28:26Speaker 1: why is she telling people? Well, I got binoculars. Let
- 28:32Speaker 1: me tell you something. I'm in Miami right now. I
- 28:33Speaker 1: gotta Amazon be here tomorrow. I ordered the telescope tele
- 28:37Speaker 1: feelings around me. I'm looking at anything right and Amazon
- 28:43Speaker 1: be hit the mark. Yeah nothing, you're not you're saying
- 28:54Speaker 1: never say anything. Never admit you don't have binoculars. You
- 28:57Speaker 1: didn't do anything, okay, binoculus, I got by focus. I
- 29:02Speaker 1: don't lay it all. Yeah, I don't even have glasses.
- 29:09Speaker 1: All right, all right, guys, thank you, thank you. Clo
- 29:12Speaker 1: coming up at the top of the hour, we'll have
- 29:14Speaker 1: some entertainment news for you. Right after this. You're listening
- 29:18Speaker 1: to the Stave Harvey Morning Show. So I'm sure everyone's
- 29:23Speaker 1: heard about this by now, But let me refresh your
- 29:25Speaker 1: memory justin case. Friday night, d L Hugely and Monique
- 29:30Speaker 1: were both booked for the comedy Explosion at the Fox
- 29:33Speaker 1: Theater in Detroit. Okay, So now, during the show, fans
- 29:36Speaker 1: were blown away after Monique delivered a profanity filled rent
- 29:41Speaker 1: on stage, mentioning Hugely by name. She was angry over
- 29:45Speaker 1: a contract dispute after she thought she was supposed to
- 29:49Speaker 1: headline the show. She was fed up with the disagreement.
- 29:52Speaker 1: She took to the stage to let the crowd know
- 29:54Speaker 1: her true feelings in a ten minute long rent that
- 29:58Speaker 1: was caught on video where she was ridiculing deal Hugely
- 30:01Speaker 1: and then questioning his sexuality. Uh. Then she added that
- 30:06Speaker 1: she never left Hollywood bullying her and Oprah and Tyler
- 30:09Speaker 1: Perry kept telling her to let go and let God.
- 30:12Speaker 1: And that's when she called out Oprah and Tyler and
- 30:15Speaker 1: del and even you, Steve, take a listen, let's do
- 30:19Speaker 1: let's go on. I go over again. So I said,
- 30:23Speaker 1: let me and let me give it the goal and
- 30:26Speaker 1: you he gave it. He said, say you everything you
- 30:31Speaker 1: need to see, stay homing deal hiling. I can't do
- 30:38Speaker 1: everything you need to deal with these Mama. I don't
- 30:41Speaker 1: want nobody see tonight West excuse me money. Let me
- 30:47Speaker 1: just open by saying I could care less than you
- 30:55Speaker 1: think about me. He goes, clearly, I'm not your problem,
- 31:02Speaker 1: you know what. And and anyone who knows me, who
- 31:05Speaker 1: really knows me, that statement that you that's you're trying
- 31:10Speaker 1: to sound profound now, But really, girl, girl, why do
- 31:16Speaker 1: we keep doing this to each other? Why? Why if
- 31:18Speaker 1: you got an issue with me, come talk to me.
- 31:21Speaker 1: But why do we have a lashops so publicly like
- 31:24Speaker 1: this to each other? It just it just drags us
- 31:26Speaker 1: all down at the same time. Man, it's I don't
- 31:29Speaker 1: get it. Well, you know what, and you're right, You're right, Tommy.
- 31:34Speaker 1: And usually you know, Steve, you've had your your instances
- 31:38Speaker 1: and and you know with Monique and with situations like this,
- 31:42Speaker 1: and we always tell you and you always take the
- 31:44Speaker 1: high road and don't comment. You know you don't. You
- 31:47Speaker 1: just let it stay out there. You don't give a comment. Life. Well,
- 31:50Speaker 1: I guess you know. It's the holiday and dil Hugally
- 31:54Speaker 1: had time. He took the Instagram and hit back at Monique.
- 31:58Speaker 1: He said, all you have to do it's checked the
- 32:00Speaker 1: order of names on the ticket, stuff from last night,
- 32:03Speaker 1: and you'll see who's confused against my better judgment over
- 32:07Speaker 1: the objections of my team, and four other occasions where
- 32:10Speaker 1: I said no, I decided to take a chance and
- 32:14Speaker 1: work with Monique. He then questions if Monique herself is
- 32:18Speaker 1: the problem at the center of her many public disputes.
- 32:22Speaker 1: Oprah was the problem, Tyler Parley Perry was the problem,
- 32:26Speaker 1: DL says, Charlemagne was the problem. Steve Harvey was the problem.
- 32:31Speaker 1: Lee Daniels was the problem. Netflix was the problem. Now
- 32:35Speaker 1: it's my turn. At some point, it can't be everyone else.
- 32:39Speaker 1: It's you. Lesson learned its tone quote from Yeah, Now,
- 32:49Speaker 1: you could tell he didn't even want to get into this.
- 32:51Speaker 1: You could tell that because you know we know him
- 32:53Speaker 1: too well. The sad part is he's headlining the show.
- 32:58Speaker 1: He comes on next Yeah, and you go on this rant.
- 33:02Speaker 1: You go on this rant before he even gets on
- 33:04Speaker 1: stage about him, And that's really crazy, man. And I'm
- 33:09Speaker 1: mission and I don't even do stand up anymore. But
- 33:13Speaker 1: when I did it, I was pretty good. And I
- 33:16Speaker 1: always understood the mission. The mission is to entertain the
- 33:22Speaker 1: audience that pays you money. First of all, no one
- 33:27Speaker 1: knew anything about this contract nobody. Yeah about not. Let
- 33:35Speaker 1: me say this. You know about your own contract before
- 33:39Speaker 1: you get where you're going. You know, you completely know
- 33:43Speaker 1: what's going. Let's me tell you something. I know exactly
- 33:45Speaker 1: what I'm making, I know when I'm going on. I
- 33:48Speaker 1: know everything about what my job before I get there.
- 33:53Speaker 1: So this is my shot before I walk out there.
- 33:56Speaker 1: Oh I'm first, I'm second, I'm third. Where I didn't know?
- 33:59Speaker 1: You know it exactly when you are. We have radio contracts.
- 34:03Speaker 1: We know, yeah, right, here's and here's what I ventured
- 34:10Speaker 1: that I bet you happen. Huh. Management whoever he is,
- 34:16Speaker 1: simply stated, I got this gig you co headliner, I
- 34:22Speaker 1: promise you. That's what was told your coat information. And
- 34:28Speaker 1: that was incorrect information because Deo put that contract online.
- 34:32Speaker 1: He was one hundred percent headliner. Co headliner affects the money.
- 34:38Speaker 1: If you're co headlining, you're gonna get the same cash. Well,
- 34:43Speaker 1: you know you're not selling the same tickets. So and
- 34:47Speaker 1: Dal is aware of his position in this whole thing.
- 34:51Speaker 1: And do was the headliner and could have maybe when
- 34:56Speaker 1: you got up there, maybe the marquis at the Fox
- 34:59Speaker 1: reg it. Strangely, I don't know. I didn't see it.
- 35:04Speaker 1: Maybe your management told you you were co headlining, and
- 35:07Speaker 1: when you got there and you didn't get her headline
- 35:10Speaker 1: of building, it triggered you. But the audience doesn't know
- 35:15Speaker 1: any of this, right, And the reason DIO had to
- 35:19Speaker 1: show the contract was because the whole ten minutes was
- 35:23Speaker 1: about the contract. And why are you mad at deal? Why?
- 35:26Speaker 1: Why aren't you mad at whoever told you you were headlining?
- 35:29Speaker 1: That's the part that's really trouble. Nothing to do with
- 35:32Speaker 1: your paper. Don't you sign your contract because I signed? Yeah,
- 35:39Speaker 1: I also have to sign a contract. Hello, You're not
- 35:42Speaker 1: gonna go pick up fifty six to seventy eighty thousand
- 35:45Speaker 1: dollars and it ain't signed your damn name on somebody's word. Okay,
- 35:50Speaker 1: here we go. Coming up at twenty minutes after um, listen,
- 35:54Speaker 1: we'll have more of the CVRVY Morning Show and a

- 37:18Speaker 1: your Memorial Day? Guys? Uh see, I think you told
- 37:21Speaker 1: us earlier, but tell us again. Was the family over
- 37:24Speaker 1: any crazy thing happened? Well with the grandkids, you know,
- 37:28Speaker 1: just a couple of my kids came over. My daughter
- 37:31Speaker 1: came over, and of course they're like their friends. So
- 37:36Speaker 1: you know, my house is really we all don't do
- 37:39Speaker 1: a lot of entertaining in it. So my house is
- 37:42Speaker 1: for my kids and their friends and every man. You know, man,
- 37:46Speaker 1: they actually got some cool little friends because I've actually
- 37:48Speaker 1: watched them grow up when I met them all when
- 37:51Speaker 1: they was back in college and everything. Now they in
- 37:53Speaker 1: their thirties, they getting married, you know, they have them kids,
- 37:57Speaker 1: and it's just kind of cool watching them have grown
- 38:00Speaker 1: up a little bit. And you know, so it was
- 38:02Speaker 1: a nice little group group group over there. All ideal
- 38:06Speaker 1: was Bob que We know you told us all I
- 38:10Speaker 1: did I meet meet mold meet. All right, So Tommy,
- 38:18Speaker 1: how was your holiday weekend? Where were you good? Me
- 38:23Speaker 1: and Jackie huh Me and Jackie went to and and
- 38:25Speaker 1: Guila where we are for the weekend by popping shut up,
- 38:37Speaker 1: shut up past the key on Henderson and Seannie uh
- 38:41Speaker 1: Shock's ex wife they got married past the key on Henderson.
- 38:45Speaker 1: So we went to went to the with I still
- 38:48Speaker 1: next to job Oakley and realized, I really, you know what,
- 38:50Speaker 1: I really might be short, I really might and I
- 38:53Speaker 1: might might you can come over here next week? Yeah, Well, Tommy,
- 39:07Speaker 1: it looked like you guys had a great time. Congratulations
- 39:10Speaker 1: to the newlyweds. Coming up at thirty four minutes after
- 39:13Speaker 1: the hour, we're going to switch gears here and talk
- 39:16Speaker 1: about an anonymous donor that's going to pay for the Uvalde,
- 39:20Speaker 1: Texas funerals. Right after this, you're listening to the same
- 39:25Speaker 1: morning show. Texas Governor Greg Abbott announced that an anonymous
- 39:30Speaker 1: donor will pay for the funerals of the victims of
- 39:33Speaker 1: the rob Elementary school shooting. An anonymous donor provided one
- 39:37Speaker 1: hundred and seventy five thousand dollars to ensure that every
- 39:41Speaker 1: cost of every family concerning anything about funeral services is
- 39:45Speaker 1: going to be taken care of. Abbott revealed this during
- 39:49Speaker 1: a press conference. He also added that no family who
- 39:53Speaker 1: was suffering from heartbreak at this time will have to
- 39:55Speaker 1: worry about a single cost with regard to anything concerning
- 39:59Speaker 1: this travesty. We appreciate that anonymous donor for its generosity,
- 40:04Speaker 1: and we will ensure that those resources get into the
- 40:07Speaker 1: right hands. Also during that briefing, Abbot outlined a series
- 40:11Speaker 1: of mental health services for those affected by this tragedy.
- 40:15Speaker 1: Salvador Remos shot his grandmother in the face before he
- 40:18Speaker 1: went to rob elementary school in you Valdi and killed
- 40:21Speaker 1: twenty one people. The grandmother, sixty six year old Celia
- 40:26Speaker 1: Sally Martinez Gonzalez. It's in stable condition, but reports indicate
- 40:31Speaker 1: that she may never speak again. Wow, that's so sad.
- 40:36Speaker 1: I know such a about that. Horrible days dropped the
- 40:44Speaker 1: ball on that day and how I don't know. A
- 40:47Speaker 1: lot of people are saying this anonymous donor. They think
- 40:49Speaker 1: it may be someone from the n r A. And
- 40:52Speaker 1: the reason why I hate I keep hearing what how
- 40:57Speaker 1: old somebody needs to be to get this rifle? How
- 41:00Speaker 1: old you need to be? Let's change that. Let's get
- 41:03Speaker 1: rid of this rifle. Let's get rid of this a
- 41:06Speaker 1: r gun completely. Well, you can't buy it anymore. That
- 41:09Speaker 1: doesn't make sense to me because you don't need it
- 41:11Speaker 1: for anything, for nothing anything. The only luck like that
- 41:17Speaker 1: is to kill someone to kill Yeah. Absolutely. The whole
- 41:21Speaker 1: problem is the NIA is the largest contributor to the
- 41:26Speaker 1: Republican Party. We got to bring them down. Man, I'm sorry,
- 41:29Speaker 1: but we got to bring them. They're not gonna do
- 41:32Speaker 1: anything that stops them from making money through the sale
- 41:36Speaker 1: of arms. They just had a big convention in in
- 41:41Speaker 1: Houston in Texas, just had a big convention Ted Cruise
- 41:45Speaker 1: Center to Ted Cruise got some heat from it at
- 41:47Speaker 1: a restaurant. Well, there was a lot of protesting here. Yeah. Yeah, yeah,
- 41:53Speaker 1: people lined up. They were so Trump go there. Yeah,
- 41:59Speaker 1: Rabbit crews, Trump, Abbott and crews. Right. Abbott was there.
- 42:03Speaker 1: Virtually he backed out at the last minute. Coming in person,
- 42:07Speaker 1: he rolled out. Yeah, he spoke virtually bad. I'm sorry
- 42:13Speaker 1: I had to say it. Go here. Well that's good though,
- 42:15Speaker 1: because you need to point out who it is because
- 42:18Speaker 1: you know, no really, because you know you you know
- 42:22Speaker 1: you no, no, no, really, man, because evil, evil repeats
- 42:25Speaker 1: itself if you're not careful. You know, we saw George
- 42:29Speaker 1: Wallace before. You can see him again. It's it's it's
- 42:35Speaker 1: us years ago. Yeah. And Betel old Rourke who stormed
- 42:41Speaker 1: in the press conference, who was running the Democratic candidate
- 42:44Speaker 1: who was running for Texas governor, who interrupted the press conference.
- 42:48Speaker 1: I say, right on, I don't feel he should have
- 42:50Speaker 1: been escorted out and he could say what he wanted
- 42:55Speaker 1: to say, freedom of since y'all talking about amendments and constitution,
- 42:58Speaker 1: he could say what he wanted to say. Well, yeah,
- 43:00Speaker 1: they didn't. Can't. You can't get freedom of speech, but
- 43:04Speaker 1: you can freely going here and buy these guns at
- 43:08Speaker 1: eighteen at eighteen years old. At eighteen years old, you
- 43:12Speaker 1: can buy did he have body on the How can
- 43:16Speaker 1: you buy body on them? Now? I don't think they
- 43:20Speaker 1: sell that on the internet. I'm not sure how he
- 43:22Speaker 1: purchased it, but they get he can get it off
- 43:24Speaker 1: the internet. You can get that off the internet. But
- 43:27Speaker 1: that's my question though. Yeah, Amazon, Yeah, well hold on them.
- 43:34Speaker 1: At one point in time, Amazon needs to make a
- 43:37Speaker 1: stand with what they're allowed to be sold on their platform.
- 43:41Speaker 1: So you can't be foard and against it at the
- 43:44Speaker 1: same time. You either one or the other. Everybody could
- 43:49Speaker 1: take a stand to stop this. You're right, but you
- 43:53Speaker 1: know the bottom line, it's making money. I mean you
- 43:55Speaker 1: know that. And they make money off all it is
- 43:58Speaker 1: guns and all this, So they don't care how many
- 44:00Speaker 1: people get killed. They don't care about your kids dying.
- 44:03Speaker 1: They don't care we're making money. They don't They don't, Steve,
- 44:10Speaker 1: this is true, all right? Wow? Yeah, well, thank god
- 44:14Speaker 1: for the anonymous donor. Anyway, coming up next, it is
- 44:17Speaker 1: a nephew with the prank phone call for today, right,

- 44:42Speaker 1: me to do it? I mean, do you really want
- 44:44Speaker 1: me to do it? I? Do you want me to
- 44:46Speaker 1: what part of the men do you want me to

- 45:22Speaker 1: Your wife gave me a disease? God dog, if you
- 45:26Speaker 1: would hello, Hello, I'm trying to reach out. I'm trying
- 45:30Speaker 1: to reach Dante. Yeah, this is who this? Hey? How
- 45:33Speaker 1: you doing? Man? Um? I just to be certain you
- 45:36Speaker 1: Dante is married to Tammy. Right, yeah, okay, cool, cool?
- 45:40Speaker 1: So listen, man, Uh, so you've heard about me, you know,
- 45:43Speaker 1: maybe heard my name before because I used to day

- 46:00Speaker 1: I've heard about you. What's um, what's the phone call for?
- 46:04Speaker 1: I needed to talk to you, man, And I've been
- 46:08Speaker 1: holding this back at least four years. You know, I
- 46:11Speaker 1: haven't said anything. And you know I can't hold it
- 46:14Speaker 1: no more. Man. I'm going through so many issues right now.
- 46:17Speaker 1: I just gotta I gotta get this thing. I gotta

- 46:27Speaker 1: I hate to bring it to you like this, but

- 46:33Speaker 1: say when we were together, Tammy gave me a disease. Man.
- 46:38Speaker 1: So you know I've been holding this, you know, and
- 46:42Speaker 1: I gotta say all. I wanted to hit you up.
- 46:45Speaker 1: I thought about it two years ago. I wanted but like,
- 46:50Speaker 1: what do you mean, like she gave you a disease?
- 46:53Speaker 1: She gave me a disease about four plus years ago,
- 46:56Speaker 1: this way before y'all got married. I'm from my understanding
- 46:58Speaker 1: that y'all been married about three years, right, yeah, oh
- 47:02Speaker 1: my god. Okay, okay, and you're calling me, you're calling
- 47:07Speaker 1: me to give me the heads up. Oh man, I'm
- 47:10Speaker 1: calling because, dude, these the medical bills and all this
- 47:15Speaker 1: that's just completely out of control. I can't even you know,
- 47:18Speaker 1: I can't take care of myself no more with this,
- 47:20Speaker 1: you know, and I don't feel like I have to
- 47:22Speaker 1: because she the one that gave me the day of
- 47:24Speaker 1: the see. Okay, So you're calling because you want you
- 47:28Speaker 1: want me to pay for you want you want us
- 47:30Speaker 1: to pay for your medical bills to dude, Like, I mean, damn, dude,

- 47:39Speaker 1: over here with a disease somebody gave me, and you
- 47:42Speaker 1: know they're going on what they like. Boh yeah, but
- 47:45Speaker 1: this is so you're calling me telling me my wife
- 47:48Speaker 1: gave you a disease. First of all, she would have
- 47:50Speaker 1: told me that. Secondly, now you're telling me like I
- 47:54Speaker 1: might have some you gotta be kidding me. Well, what
- 47:57Speaker 1: did she give you? What disease are you talking about? Man?
- 48:00Speaker 1: At this point, you know, I don't even want to
- 48:02Speaker 1: discuss it. I just want to get on board. Let's
- 48:04Speaker 1: can we get some kind of understanding with the medical
- 48:07Speaker 1: field that I can't inside of control? Man, I'm not
- 48:10Speaker 1: paying it, Okay, I'm not gonna pay for your medical bills,
- 48:13Speaker 1: especially when I don't even know what those do you mean?
- 48:16Speaker 1: What you mean she gave you a disease? Now I'm

- 48:40Speaker 1: What the disease are you talking about? Man? Dude, I'm
- 48:44Speaker 1: I'm trying, dude, regardless of what it is. I'm trying
- 48:47Speaker 1: to handle the medical fields on it, man, That's what
- 48:50Speaker 1: I'm trying to do. Dude, boy, kind of medical bills
- 48:52Speaker 1: could you have for some you caught fo years ago,
- 48:55Speaker 1: like four years ago, you should have been able to
- 48:57Speaker 1: fix session. What is it? So she gave me the
- 49:01Speaker 1: disease and now I need somebody to play these damn bills.
- 49:04Speaker 1: That's all I'm saying to you. All right, that's all
- 49:07Speaker 1: I'm saying. It's Dante, yo. I'm telling you what I'm
- 49:11Speaker 1: telling you, Marceello. It's quit playing and tell me what

- 54:01Speaker 1: It is strong every letter. Thank you, nephew. The Candy
- 54:04Speaker 1: Lady is the subject. Dear Stephen Shirley. I'm a fifty
- 54:09Speaker 1: nine year old mother of two grown sons, and I
- 54:11Speaker 1: pride myself on how well I raised them by myself.
- 54:15Speaker 1: They both are educated and have great jobs. My oldest
- 54:19Speaker 1: son is married and he is a baby on the
- 54:21Speaker 1: way with his wife. My youngest son is twenty nine
- 54:25Speaker 1: and he is trying to send me to an early grave.
- 54:28Speaker 1: When I was raising my boys, I had a village
- 54:31Speaker 1: of strong women to help me. One of my nearest
- 54:34Speaker 1: and dearest friends helped me the most, and my son's
- 54:37Speaker 1: love to call her the candy Lady because she always
- 54:40Speaker 1: has some kind of candy in her purse. She never
- 54:43Speaker 1: had children and never got married, but they never saw
- 54:46Speaker 1: her go through all of the men and the drama
- 54:48Speaker 1: in her life. Up until twenty twenty, she was in
- 54:52Speaker 1: an eleven year relationship with this married man. After they
- 54:56Speaker 1: broke up, she was very depressed, and I did all
- 54:59Speaker 1: I could to snap her out of it. I even
- 55:02Speaker 1: sent my twenty nine year old son over to change
- 55:05Speaker 1: her locks to prevent the married man from creeping back
- 55:08Speaker 1: into her life. She called me a few days after
- 55:11Speaker 1: that and said she was getting her life back on
- 55:13Speaker 1: track and my son was going to teach her how
- 55:15Speaker 1: to play tennis. I thought that a hobby would be helpful.
- 55:19Speaker 1: Little did I know she and my son have been
- 55:22Speaker 1: seeing each other for over a year. He's been living
- 55:26Speaker 1: with her for a while, and he won't tell me
- 55:29Speaker 1: how or why it all happened. He came to me
- 55:32Speaker 1: last week and said he wanted to tell me something.
- 55:34Speaker 1: But before he told me, he said, there is nothing
- 55:38Speaker 1: I can do about it. He told me that I
- 55:40Speaker 1: shouldn't be upset with my friend because age doesn't matter,
- 55:44Speaker 1: and he called her his soul mate, the candy lady
- 55:47Speaker 1: that I know has had over a hundred soul mate
- 55:51Speaker 1: over the years. I don't want my son with this
- 55:53Speaker 1: old halfer. Is there anything I can do to break
- 55:56Speaker 1: up my son and the candy lady? Wow? First of all,
- 56:01Speaker 1: I mean this is one of those, you know, ultimate
- 56:04Speaker 1: portrayal type situations because she knows better that she's your age.
- 56:08Speaker 1: You say, you're fifty nine and she's you know, doing
- 56:12Speaker 1: your twenty nine year old son. Yeah, this she went
- 56:17Speaker 1: behind your back. Basically, you know you guys are supposed
- 56:20Speaker 1: to be friends. She knows your son was off limit.
- 56:23Speaker 1: And here's what you know, you already know. There is
- 56:27Speaker 1: nothing you can do about this. I mean, as a mother,
- 56:30Speaker 1: I know you don't want this for your son. You
- 56:32Speaker 1: do not like them together. This woman is your friend,
- 56:35Speaker 1: so you know all her business, and you don't think
- 56:38Speaker 1: she's good enough for your son. You know what she's
- 56:40Speaker 1: been through, all the men, the married men, for eleven
- 56:43Speaker 1: years that she was with. All you're doing is looking
- 56:47Speaker 1: out for your son. At this point, you think she's
- 56:49Speaker 1: way too old, as you mentioned in the letter, for
- 56:52Speaker 1: your twenty nine year old son, and that she has
- 56:54Speaker 1: too much baggage. There's nothing wrong with how you feel.
- 56:58Speaker 1: But here's the other thing. They are both grown. They
- 57:00Speaker 1: are both consenting adult's. I guess around fifty nine. He's
- 57:05Speaker 1: twenty nine. He never even told you how this happened
- 57:07Speaker 1: or came about, but you know he was over there
- 57:10Speaker 1: and she probably you know, seduced him. And they want
- 57:14Speaker 1: each other right now. That's what they do. They're grown,
- 57:18Speaker 1: like I said, consenting, free to do whatever they want,
- 57:21Speaker 1: and what they want is each other. They already lived together,
- 57:25Speaker 1: so basically your hands are tied. He's been with her
- 57:29Speaker 1: for a whole year. Sometimes you just gotta pray, let
- 57:32Speaker 1: it go, give it to God. This relationship and all
- 57:35Speaker 1: that comes with it, good or bad, is called life experience.
- 57:38Speaker 1: For your son. You're trying to stop that, but you
- 57:41Speaker 1: know it's not a lot you can do at this point.
- 57:44Speaker 1: I wish you the best, but I don't see anything
- 57:47Speaker 1: you can do at this point. Steve Well, Candy Lady,
- 57:55Speaker 1: Candy Lady, free little Candy Boy, have or take on
- 58:06Speaker 1: this letter that is going to shock or paul and
- 58:12Speaker 1: really just be upsetting to some. Before I get into
- 58:17Speaker 1: this letter, I want to say that I personally stand
- 58:20Speaker 1: by everything I'm about to say. I have no reason
- 58:24Speaker 1: to apologize. I am not asking you to agree with me.
- 58:30Speaker 1: As a matter of fact, I DC M clear about that.
- 58:38Speaker 1: I don't care. I don't care, I d C. I'm
- 58:42Speaker 1: gonna create my own emojis online. Ye w y D.
- 58:46Speaker 1: I got a new one, I DC because I really
- 58:48Speaker 1: be wanting to text that most of the time when
- 58:50Speaker 1: I'm texting. So that's the new one. I DC stands
- 58:54Speaker 1: for I don't care, I wish I'm gonna start texting
- 58:56Speaker 1: it save me a lot of texting. All right. Let
- 59:00Speaker 1: me tell you that just fifty nine year old mother,
- 59:02Speaker 1: these two grown sons, now here's a lot of what
- 59:05Speaker 1: I'm proud of single mothers that raise their children. I
- 59:08Speaker 1: really am and I think you do a great job.
- 59:10Speaker 1: But I keep telling y'all. You can raise these boys
- 59:14Speaker 1: to be good citizens. You can raise them to be gentlemen.
- 59:17Speaker 1: You can really raise them to be God fearing. You
- 59:20Speaker 1: can raise them to obey the law. You can raise
- 59:23Speaker 1: them a lot of weight. You can't make them men.
- 59:27Speaker 1: I don't care what you do. You can't make them men.
- 59:30Speaker 1: The how they decide to be as men is gonna
- 59:33Speaker 1: have a lot to do with another man. Now, you
- 59:36Speaker 1: can instill a lot of the great qualities of a
- 59:38Speaker 1: man in him, but when it's time to be a man,
- 59:41Speaker 1: he has to stand alone. Your oldest son is married,
- 59:44Speaker 1: he got a baby on his way. Your youngest son
- 59:46Speaker 1: twenty nine. He trying to send you to an early grade.
- 59:50Speaker 1: See you mad because one of your knears and dearest
- 59:53Speaker 1: friends helped me the most, and my son's love to
- 59:56Speaker 1: call her to Candy lady. She been a candy lady
- 59:59Speaker 1: for a law time. You got the title of this
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: letter right, And when I come back, I'm gonna tell
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: you how much Candy the Lady has been passing out
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: and for how long? And who all had the kid?
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: All right? Hang on, Steve, Part two of your responses
- 1:00:19Speaker 1: coming up at twenty three minutes after the hour. Today's
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: Strawberry Letter, subject the Candy Lady. We'll get back into
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: it right after this. You're listening show, all right, Come on, Steve,
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: let's recap today's Strawberry letter. The subject the candy Lady. Well,
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: this fifty nine year old woman raised her two sons,
- 1:00:40Speaker 1: did a great job and steal a lot of values
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: in One of her sons is married to a baby
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: on the way. The oldest son, very proud of him,
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: and then she's having some trouble with the youngest one.
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: He is twenty nine. He trying to send her to
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: her early grave. He said, well, let's get into this. Then,
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: she said, when I was raising my boys, I had
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: a village of strong women to help me that needed
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: to be a man in now. But no problem. Women
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: do a great job being mothers and single mothers, and
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: they've done great job raising some boys and some young
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: men that turned out just fine. But the job of
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: manhood has to fall squarely on the shoulders of another man.
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: I can't teach my daughters how to be women. I
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: don't care how much I talked to him. It's just
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: too much about it. I don't know an so it
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: is with manhood. But you did a good job. Now
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: one of your knears and dear friends help you the most.
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: And my son loved to call her the candy Lady
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: because she always had some kind of candy in her purse.
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: We'll get into that in a minute. She never had children,
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: never gotten married, but they never saw her go through
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: all the men and the drama in her life up
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: until twenty twenty. Now, this woman, candid lady, was in
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: eleven year relationship with this married man. After they broke up,
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: she was depressed and I did all I could just
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: snap her out of it. And here's what you do.
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: You sit the twenty nine year old boy yours over
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: there to change her locks to prevent the married man
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: from creeping back into her life. She called me a
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: few days later after that and says she was getting
- 1:02:31Speaker 1: her life back on track on her son was gonna
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: teach her how to play tennis. I thought that a
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: hobby would be healthful. Little did I know she and
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: my son had been seeing each other for over a year.
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: He been living with her for a while, and he
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: won't even tell me how a wild I have that
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: heybody litten me do any grave Before I finished crying,
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: let me tell you what happened. He went over the
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: candy lady house. Candy Lady turned into the cookie lady.
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: So you can't. You can't keep passing out candy to
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: grow ass men. See it ain't candy for me. No
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: more cake pie cookies. I like cookies because they easy
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: to get to. Now here's your problem. He won't tell
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: me how wild all happened. So then he came to
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: me last week. He be living with for a while,
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: and he won't to help me why it all happened. No,
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: surely you can't stop me. I've been knowing this now
- 1:03:56Speaker 1: for my whole life, and trying to help her. I
- 1:03:59Speaker 1: sit my son that help on getting herself together and change.
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: He locks on this bouncing. Don't come back up in there,
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: and then she gonna set up in and just stop
- 1:04:08Speaker 1: passing out canting. All of a sudden, she doesn't give
- 1:04:11Speaker 1: it out cooking over there, and he's stupid. He'd have
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: got hold of something that's a whole ass cooking, and
- 1:04:16Speaker 1: now they cooking. Don't know what he's doing. He don't
- 1:04:19Speaker 1: even know what he doing over there. He came to
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: me last week. He told me to tell me so.
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: I'm trying to tell you the story down. He's growling
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: to tell me so. But before he told me, he
- 1:04:33Speaker 1: told me, wasn't that long to do about it? You're
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: gonna come and tell me something, and then you're gonna
- 1:04:39Speaker 1: tell me, ain't not like doing by why you're telling
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: me more? I want to do something about it. I
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: want to hear about this old hell. And she didn't
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: put it on this sheet up put it on me. Yeah,
- 1:04:52Speaker 1: that dude putting all that is good and holy good
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: is experience. I know what she did to him. But
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: he gonna tell me I shouldn't be unsay. You see
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: me crying, you'll see me crying, You'll tell me be
- 1:05:08Speaker 1: able to say, You'll tell me how to be. An'll
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: come in here and tell me you're screwing this whole heaven.
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: Then I ain't supposed to be able to say because
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: and he gonna tell me I shouldn't be upset. Coach,
- 1:05:20Speaker 1: my friend, coach, age don't matter. This old helpful and
- 1:05:26Speaker 1: as you talking about age don't matter. She thirty years
- 1:05:29Speaker 1: old in hell. I don't get where. She don't want
- 1:05:34Speaker 1: no kids, She can't no kid, she can't have over
- 1:05:38Speaker 1: she could ask some medicare what she can have and
- 1:05:43Speaker 1: then and then he gonna call her his soul mate.
- 1:05:48Speaker 1: I want to just say, you're stupid bout this Candilad
- 1:05:51Speaker 1: that I know they had a hundred soul mates over
- 1:05:54Speaker 1: the year. She have screwed all these men and now
- 1:05:57Speaker 1: you just one of them. Now you a hundred and one.
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: I go popping. Now you wanted to water in one
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: damn mission. I want myself with this. The whole album
- 1:06:10Speaker 1: is anything I can do to break up my sid. Yes,
- 1:06:14Speaker 1: there is something you can do, and I want to
- 1:06:16Speaker 1: tell you, and I beg to differently. There's nothing here.
- 1:06:21Speaker 1: It is and I'm gonna letting letter close out. You
- 1:06:24Speaker 1: don't have to go over there and jump on him.

- 1:07:24Speaker 1: to it. Man. A lot of sports happened over the weekend.
- 1:07:26Speaker 1: I don't know if you saw this time up, but
- 1:07:28Speaker 1: Javonte tanked Davis, knocked out Rolando, rolling Romero into sixth
- 1:07:33Speaker 1: round and put that board through the rope. I'm talking
- 1:07:38Speaker 1: about when you come into a level hook like that
- 1:07:41Speaker 1: man and just lay over that leve hit him and
- 1:07:45Speaker 1: later to the ropes and when he got up, legs
- 1:07:47Speaker 1: was weak trembling. That that hurt. I could tell that hurt. Yeah.
- 1:07:52Speaker 1: But in the sixth round, Man tank David. But it
- 1:07:54Speaker 1: was Superstars Man, so that was that was that was
- 1:07:58Speaker 1: really big. I enjoyed that fight, k watching that boy
- 1:08:00Speaker 1: fight Man because it looked like time in the beginning
- 1:08:02Speaker 1: he was you know he it looked like he was
- 1:08:05Speaker 1: taking a lot of shots. Man, Yeah, yeah, yeah, And
- 1:08:09Speaker 1: I was like, Okay, there's gonna be something here and
- 1:08:11Speaker 1: then order nowhere. Man, that's how fast. God, when you
- 1:08:16Speaker 1: looking at the announcer through the road talking about did
- 1:08:18Speaker 1: he hit me? Did he hit me? Didn't see it?
- 1:08:24Speaker 1: I didn't see it coming. Didn't he hit me? Talking
- 1:08:27Speaker 1: to the rift that long. Also in the NBA, Man,
- 1:08:29Speaker 1: the Boston Celtics closed out to Miami Heat on Sunday
- 1:08:34Speaker 1: one hundred to ninety six. Jason Tatum man great game,
- 1:08:38Speaker 1: twenty six points, Jimmy Butler thirty five points. Jimmy gave
- 1:08:41Speaker 1: it all he had, Man, he did. He gave it
- 1:08:42Speaker 1: all the Miami Heat. Yeah. And man, it's gonna be
- 1:08:45Speaker 1: Game one Celtics versus the Warriors Thursday. Yeah, it's the Finals.
- 1:08:52Speaker 1: Now who you got? I got the Warriors. I'm going with.
- 1:08:56Speaker 1: I'm going with the Warriors. Pretty boy all with that ball?
- 1:09:04Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, I call him pretty Rick, pretty old. I'm
- 1:09:08Speaker 1: going with the Warriors. Though it's not a firepower in
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: Golden State. Now, Boston is the only team that has
- 1:09:14Speaker 1: a better record against Golden State this year than any
- 1:09:18Speaker 1: other team Boston has won more of their games this
- 1:09:21Speaker 1: year against Golden State. It's a championship right here on
- 1:09:25Speaker 1: current there from the run your Ass, Draymond Green. I'm
- 1:09:31Speaker 1: chairing for Boston because Nia longs Man is the head coach.
- 1:09:36Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, all that's cool. I love
- 1:09:39Speaker 1: I love the players on the Boston team this year,
- 1:09:41Speaker 1: and I love the coaching staff from Boston. The city
- 1:09:44Speaker 1: though I never give the city. I'll never forgive it
- 1:09:49Speaker 1: turned that black bust over with them kids on. I
- 1:09:51Speaker 1: ain't gat damn about Boston ever since. I don't give
- 1:09:54Speaker 1: a damn about Boston. I don't like I like the
- 1:09:56Speaker 1: war Birds, but I don't like Boston. Thank you, Junior.
- 1:10:00Speaker 1: Coming up at the top of the hour, Kevin Hart
- 1:10:03Speaker 1: has a brand new documentary on the evolution of black comedy.
- 1:10:06Speaker 1: We'll talk about it right after this. You're listening to
- 1:10:12Speaker 1: say morning show. Kevin Hart and Heart Productions will debut
- 1:10:19Speaker 1: a two part documentary on the A and E Network
- 1:10:22Speaker 1: highlighting the evolution of black comedy. The documentary, called Right
- 1:10:26Speaker 1: to Offend The Black Comedy Revolution, will explore how black
- 1:10:31Speaker 1: comedians have withstood the test of time using humor to
- 1:10:35Speaker 1: spark conversations and change surrounding racial injustices and societal issues.
- 1:10:41Speaker 1: The show will take viewers back in time to the
- 1:10:43Speaker 1: era of Red Fox, Dick Gregory, and Mom's Maidley, as
- 1:10:47Speaker 1: well as highlight the contributions from comedic leaders such as you,
- 1:10:51Speaker 1: Steve Harvey, Dave Chappelle, Eddie Murphy, and Kevin Hart himself,
- 1:10:56Speaker 1: among many others. It will debut on Any Network on
- 1:11:00Speaker 1: twenty nine. And Steve, did you know already that you
- 1:11:03Speaker 1: were going to be featured in this documentary? Yeah? I
- 1:11:06Speaker 1: was in it pretty about it. Yeah, but it's Kevin
- 1:11:09Speaker 1: talking about contracts on him. So people to know what
- 1:11:12Speaker 1: a headline of years or what a hairline is. We're
- 1:11:14Speaker 1: doing that because we need to know well, you know
- 1:11:19Speaker 1: versus headline. Yeah, well, he only talked the headliner, so
- 1:11:23Speaker 1: let should keep it clear. So and then we're not
- 1:11:27Speaker 1: gonna have to mention that, you know, to know damn
- 1:11:31Speaker 1: by it, we wouldn't bring it up anyway. That's so.
- 1:11:36Speaker 1: But anyway, let me just stay on the special. I
- 1:11:39Speaker 1: thought I think the special. I don't. I haven't seen it,
- 1:11:42Speaker 1: of course, and I didn't. I didn't. I didn't hear
- 1:11:45Speaker 1: anybody's part. I just know my part. If you ask
- 1:11:49Speaker 1: me about this business right here, I do know about
- 1:11:53Speaker 1: this business, and I was a student of it, so
- 1:11:57Speaker 1: I was pretty proud of the things I said. It
- 1:12:00Speaker 1: always amazed me, Steve, that you knew how much your
- 1:12:04Speaker 1: ticket sales were, how many seats were in the arena,
- 1:12:08Speaker 1: you know. Yeah, you know, like how many seconds it
- 1:12:13Speaker 1: takes for laughs and things like that. I love how
- 1:12:16Speaker 1: you break it down like that. It's like you know
- 1:12:18Speaker 1: the business inside and out, like you should get a
- 1:12:20Speaker 1: laugh every so many seconds, or you know what joke
- 1:12:24Speaker 1: to open with clothes? With all of that, what works,
- 1:12:26Speaker 1: what doesn't work? Yeah? You do know the business you do? Yeah,
- 1:12:30Speaker 1: I think it's uh. You know, I spent a lot
- 1:12:32Speaker 1: of time with Tommy and Junior talking about this too,
- 1:12:35Speaker 1: because it is such a science to what we do.
- 1:12:39Speaker 1: And if you don't approach it from the scientific standpoint,
- 1:12:43Speaker 1: if you think you can just go out there and
- 1:12:44Speaker 1: do anything you want to do, you're sadly mistaken. A
- 1:12:48Speaker 1: lot of people do though, especially now people do. Well,
- 1:12:52Speaker 1: they got something for your hands. It's TiO on the special.
- 1:12:58Speaker 1: Oh sure, he just said. Dame Chappelle, the rapper Tommy,
- 1:13:05Speaker 1: why would he be on the Brady. I was just
- 1:13:10Speaker 1: talking about the people that was gonna be on, especially
- 1:13:12Speaker 1: because because Tommy over here asking about all these people
- 1:13:15Speaker 1: that ain't gonna be on there. He just she just
- 1:13:17Speaker 1: said Eddie Murphy, Day Chappelle, Wayne Brady, Steve Harvey, and
- 1:13:20Speaker 1: Kevin Hard. She just said that, and he staid, I
- 1:13:23Speaker 1: didn't hear. I didn't hear. It's Bill Carmo, many others,
- 1:13:28Speaker 1: I said, among many others, Junior, I did say that.
- 1:13:31Speaker 1: He did, you know what's wrong with Tim is lists?
- 1:13:36Speaker 1: You know what's wrong with it? Because he's stupid. What
- 1:13:44Speaker 1: were you gonna say? I? I was just saying, you know,
- 1:13:46Speaker 1: and it's really great to have a mentor like Uncle
- 1:13:49Speaker 1: Steve that that can teach you something that you would
- 1:13:52Speaker 1: have never found out. It took me too long to
- 1:13:54Speaker 1: learn it. Oh, I got on Steve. I gotta Steve
- 1:13:57Speaker 1: Wade when I was young, which was great to him
- 1:14:00Speaker 1: with him and saw a professionalism that goes into doing
- 1:14:03Speaker 1: black stand up and understanding the rules and the philosophies
- 1:14:06Speaker 1: and everything that he taught. I don't never got that
- 1:14:08Speaker 1: conversation knowing how many seats, what the ticket costs. That
- 1:14:13Speaker 1: is what he gave me. A lot on that. He
- 1:14:16Speaker 1: gave me that an insight because I didn't I didn't
- 1:14:18Speaker 1: know how to do that map at first. And then
- 1:14:19Speaker 1: you start one. Okay, now, this is what the promoter
- 1:14:22Speaker 1: is making and if you're the headline or what are
- 1:14:24Speaker 1: you making out of this? Yeah? You got you gotta
- 1:14:27Speaker 1: be able to analyze all of that. Here. Here's something though.
- 1:14:30Speaker 1: Here here, here's what I want to ask you, Steve.
- 1:14:33Speaker 1: Is there a difference between black comedy and white comedy?
- 1:14:36Speaker 1: And if so, what is that different? Oh, that's a
- 1:14:40Speaker 1: two part question. If we come back on the next break,
- 1:14:43Speaker 1: I'll be to tell you exactly what it is. Okay,
- 1:14:47Speaker 1: I want to hear that, because I just want to
- 1:14:50Speaker 1: hear that. I think people want to hear that. All Right,
- 1:14:53Speaker 1: we'll be back coming up at twenty minutes after the hour.
- 1:14:55Speaker 1: We'll have more of a Steve Harvey Morning show right
- 1:14:58Speaker 1: after this. You're listening, all right, Steve? Before we went
- 1:15:05Speaker 1: to break, I asked you, was there a difference between
- 1:15:08Speaker 1: black comedy and white comedy? We're talking about a new
- 1:15:11Speaker 1: comedy special that you're you know, it's a difference between
- 1:15:14Speaker 1: black comedy and white comedy. And there is a difference
- 1:15:18Speaker 1: between black audiences and white audiences. It just is, first
- 1:15:24Speaker 1: of all, the difference between black comedy and white comedies.
- 1:15:27Speaker 1: And we have a very very different perspective because the
- 1:15:32Speaker 1: world that we see comes through a set of eyes
- 1:15:36Speaker 1: and an experience that's very unique to us. And and
- 1:15:40Speaker 1: you can only write about your experiences in life, and
- 1:15:43Speaker 1: that doesn't There's some great white comedians out there, make
- 1:15:47Speaker 1: no mistake about it, but the Black experience lends you
- 1:15:51Speaker 1: to a different style and different type of comedy. The
- 1:15:56Speaker 1: way we tell stories is a little bit different, and
- 1:16:00Speaker 1: the vernacular is very different, and so it's quite quite
- 1:16:06Speaker 1: a difference, man. And when I think of who has
- 1:16:09Speaker 1: made me laugh the hardest in my life, it's hands
- 1:16:13Speaker 1: down it has been black comedians because they from their perspective,
- 1:16:17Speaker 1: and of course me being black as more relatable to
- 1:16:20Speaker 1: me as it is with most black audiences. So there's
- 1:16:24Speaker 1: anaidability that comes with us. But then it's a way
- 1:16:26Speaker 1: that we translate it on Our comedy can translate to
- 1:16:29Speaker 1: the white culture faster than white comedy can translate to
- 1:16:34Speaker 1: our culture. Okay, all right, well, thank you for clearing
- 1:16:39Speaker 1: that up. All Right, we'll have more of a Steve
- 1:16:41Speaker 1: Harvey Morning show coming up at thirty three minutes after,
- 1:16:43Speaker 1: we'll do a round of would you rather? Right after this?
- 1:16:46Speaker 1: You're listening, all right, guys, it is time for a
- 1:16:51Speaker 1: round of would you rather? Would you rather eat Chicago
- 1:16:57Speaker 1: hot dogs or Chicago Deep Dish pizza for a week?
- 1:17:04Speaker 1: I mean, I love, I love, I love both of them,
- 1:17:07Speaker 1: but that they're gonna pizza mat Nah, I'm gonna have
- 1:17:11Speaker 1: to go on a deep body full cleans. Yeah you're
- 1:17:18Speaker 1: on that now, right after Memorial Day weekend? Right, yeah,
- 1:17:21Speaker 1: I'm on the cleans. But no, when I eat that
- 1:17:23Speaker 1: a week of deep dish, I'm gonna have to I'm
- 1:17:26Speaker 1: gonna have to start with an extreme animal good you made, Okay,
- 1:17:37Speaker 1: I'm talking about damn Neil gonna have to get the
- 1:17:40Speaker 1: water holes damn with the nas alone it. Why can
- 1:17:49Speaker 1: squeeze that handling? Get forced? I might have to use
- 1:17:52Speaker 1: a pressure washer. Not a pressure washer. I'm talking about water,
- 1:18:00Speaker 1: water coming out of my nose. I'm damn drowned. That's
- 1:18:06Speaker 1: a crazy visual. All right, would you rather? We're moving
- 1:18:09Speaker 1: on because you're crazy? Would you rather have sex in
- 1:18:12Speaker 1: a helicopter or sex in a space shuttle? Oh? I
- 1:18:16Speaker 1: can't get in this space shutt you're just floating. You
- 1:18:20Speaker 1: can floating do it? Yeah, that's cool. I'm not going on.
- 1:18:24Speaker 1: That's too far not to be able to get back.
- 1:18:27Speaker 1: But but I ain't gonna be able to do it
- 1:18:29Speaker 1: in the helicopter. There's no way. Well I can do
- 1:18:32Speaker 1: it in the helicopter. I can't. Most got nothing to
- 1:18:37Speaker 1: do with the size. I can't look out this one
- 1:18:40Speaker 1: day CD damn ground like this and expect to perform.
- 1:18:45Speaker 1: That can't happen. You're all the way out of the
- 1:18:47Speaker 1: mood after you see that. I'm telling you right now,
- 1:18:49Speaker 1: there's nothing in me that's gonna be excited. Once I
- 1:18:53Speaker 1: know I'm in the and I can hear that blade,
- 1:18:59Speaker 1: I'm going I'm going with the space booty, space booty,
- 1:19:01Speaker 1: but you're not taking my ass off in space and
- 1:19:06Speaker 1: then something happening, I can't get back even to do that.
- 1:19:11Speaker 1: I'm going to get in this helicopter. Just had the
- 1:19:14Speaker 1: woman going, oh, he wasn't looting nothing, Just talk about you.
- 1:19:21Speaker 1: Would you rather have long toe nails or short baby teeth?
- 1:19:25Speaker 1: Which one little baby teeth or long tony No, hell no,

- 1:22:59Speaker 1: I was weren't known some questions. I thought you guys
- 1:23:01Speaker 1: might have stuff on the way out, kind of motivational
- 1:23:05Speaker 1: personal stuff like that. You know, Well, how you feel?
- 1:23:08Speaker 1: How do you feel a lot of stuff trending over
- 1:23:10Speaker 1: the weekend. Well, you know, it's I'm good with everything,
- 1:23:14Speaker 1: you know. I feel sorry for people, man, who who
- 1:23:16Speaker 1: don't know how to let stuff go so they can
- 1:23:19Speaker 1: move forward. Uh. I feel sorry for people who who
- 1:23:23Speaker 1: who who walk away from a relationship with God. I
- 1:23:29Speaker 1: feel sorry for people who who I just I just
- 1:23:36Speaker 1: feel for people man who who just keep who don't
- 1:23:40Speaker 1: learn from mistakes. Man, that's just a bad thing. It's
- 1:23:43Speaker 1: no good for anybody, man, um, It's it's just you know, look,
- 1:23:48Speaker 1: we've got to get to the point, man, where we
- 1:23:50Speaker 1: learn from our mistakes. We can't keep repeating bad behavior
- 1:23:54Speaker 1: and expect good results. It just doesn't work that way, man.
- 1:23:57Speaker 1: And it's just sad to see it. Man. I don't.
- 1:24:01Speaker 1: I don't like watching the demise of a human being.
- 1:24:05Speaker 1: I really don't. I don't know. It's no fun, especially
- 1:24:07Speaker 1: someone you admire. It's ugly to see. It's no fun.
- 1:24:12Speaker 1: It's no fun. Y'all been real nice. I'm sorry. I don't.
- 1:24:15Speaker 1: I don't. I don't feel sorry for the mass. I'm sorry.
- 1:24:17Speaker 1: I don't y'all trying to feel sorry for people. No,
- 1:24:20Speaker 1: I got other people can feel sorry for. When you
- 1:24:21Speaker 1: just walk away from the Lord, you know what that's
- 1:24:24Speaker 1: on you. I'm sorry. I don't feel sorry for your telling.
- 1:24:28Speaker 1: You know, I'm gonna say something to you that I
- 1:24:30Speaker 1: hardly ever say, because it troubles me that when I
- 1:24:34Speaker 1: get this way with you, but really, in all honesty,
- 1:24:39Speaker 1: I happen to agree with you one hundred percent troubles you.
- 1:24:45Speaker 1: It troubles me that I find something he says and
- 1:24:49Speaker 1: I go why I be damn because really man, in
- 1:24:53Speaker 1: all honesty, man, that's really what people want to say.
- 1:24:56Speaker 1: You know, look, look, you know when you're on the
- 1:24:58Speaker 1: radio and you are we have a responsibility, and then
- 1:25:02Speaker 1: you know you always want to try to take the
- 1:25:04Speaker 1: high road. You really do. And and you know, I
- 1:25:14Speaker 1: pretty much take you for how you are to me.
- 1:25:17Speaker 1: And if you don't show me no good I I
- 1:25:19Speaker 1: I gotta quit looking for because that ain't what you
- 1:25:22Speaker 1: won't exemplify. So that's on you. I just it's it's
- 1:25:27Speaker 1: it's troubling man. I still say though that it's troubling
- 1:25:32Speaker 1: to watch a person get it wrong repeatedly. Destruct My
- 1:25:39Speaker 1: father used to tell me, he said, you know, when
- 1:25:42Speaker 1: we are born, we look like our parents, he said,
- 1:25:47Speaker 1: but when we die, we look like our decisions. And
- 1:25:53Speaker 1: you got to start looking at what you gotta do,
- 1:25:56Speaker 1: your decisions, your choices, the things that you decide. I
- 1:25:59Speaker 1: don't know who the don't hear what's going on right here?
- 1:26:02Speaker 1: We're not show bad. Y'all won't let me be Thomas.
- 1:26:05Speaker 1: Y'all won't let me Dad. But that was Dad. It
- 1:26:10Speaker 1: was come on back, Steve, come on back, And that
- 1:26:15Speaker 1: was profound right, just for you to even recall that
- 1:26:18Speaker 1: shock me choice always got We look like our parents
- 1:26:25Speaker 1: when we died. We looked like our decisions. Man, what
- 1:26:28Speaker 1: are your decisions? I just I just think that we
- 1:26:30Speaker 1: all have a you know, I'm I'm, I'm, I'm. I'm
- 1:26:35Speaker 1: sometimes stuck because it's so much I really want to
- 1:26:38Speaker 1: say to a person. But Dion Saying has told me best,
- 1:26:43Speaker 1: and I had to learn that stop throwing life rafts
- 1:26:47Speaker 1: to people swimming away from the boat. I had to
- 1:26:51Speaker 1: remember that. So those are my closing remarks that day.
- 1:26:53Speaker 1: I ain't throwing no more life rafts to people swimming
- 1:26:55Speaker 1: away from the boat. Talking God, y'all, he loved to
- 1:26:58Speaker 1: hear from you for all. Steve. Every contest no purchase necessary,
