- 0:02Speaker 1: Y'all know what time of y'all don't know y'all back
- 0:09Speaker 1: a suit on, looking back the back down, giving them
- 0:13Speaker 1: move like the million buck things in Its good it,
- 0:21Speaker 1: Steve ha listen to the movie together for study. I
- 0:38Speaker 1: don't join join you doing me? Honey. You gotta turning
- 1:06Speaker 1: them you want to, you gotta turn to turn them out.
- 1:42Speaker 1: Turn got to turn them out to turn the water
- 1:47Speaker 1: the water. Got me. Come come on your fab uh huh,
- 2:02Speaker 1: I shall will. Good morning everybody. You're listening to the voice.
- 2:07Speaker 1: Come on dig me now, one and only Steve Harvey
- 2:10Speaker 1: got a radio show. Okay. I want to share something
- 2:16Speaker 1: with you that I had to come to the realization
- 2:18Speaker 1: one time, and even in the reinvention of myself right now,
- 2:23Speaker 1: I've had to come to that and I want to
- 2:24Speaker 1: share it with you today. Give it to you. I
- 2:28Speaker 1: want to tell you about something that a lot of
- 2:30Speaker 1: people do in their life and I want you to
- 2:33Speaker 1: be aware of it. Here it is, don't get stuck
- 2:38Speaker 1: on yourself. You could be wrong. You know I said,
- 2:47Speaker 1: don't get stuck on yourself. You could be wrong. You know.
- 2:55Speaker 1: The reason I'm saying this is because people have a
- 3:01Speaker 1: tendency to once they make a decision about something, or
- 3:05Speaker 1: once they decide to go a certain path, they go
- 3:09Speaker 1: against all everything, anything anybody says, anything anybody might do,
- 3:16Speaker 1: any other ruling they may come across. They shun advice,
- 3:23Speaker 1: They don't listen to counsel. They just I made the decision.
- 3:31Speaker 1: I'm gonna do it anyway. Don't get stuck on yourself.
- 3:37Speaker 1: You could be wrong, you know. Now here's a surefire
- 3:41Speaker 1: way to tell if you're wrong. If you don't see
- 3:48Speaker 1: any movement in the direction you've chosen, if you don't
- 3:54Speaker 1: see anything going right in that decision, if you feel
- 4:02Speaker 1: as though you're interrupt if the wall you're climbing seems
- 4:08Speaker 1: so insurmountable that you ain't even moving an inch, and
- 4:13Speaker 1: every time you turn around you keep getting knocked by down,
- 4:17Speaker 1: knocked back down. Don't get stuck on yourself. You know
- 4:19Speaker 1: you could be wrong. You know. See, that's why it's
- 4:24Speaker 1: important for people to always be open to the reinvention
- 4:29Speaker 1: of yourself. You know, you cannot be afraid to reinvent yourself.
- 4:36Speaker 1: In other words, you can't be afraid to change. Change
- 4:40Speaker 1: is necessary when it comes to growth. There is no
- 4:45Speaker 1: growth without change. The more you know, the older you look.
- 4:52Speaker 1: That is no growth without change. If you're heading in
- 4:57Speaker 1: a direction, it ain't nothing going right in your life.
- 4:59Speaker 1: Could be the wrong direction. If you're climbing and you're
- 5:04Speaker 1: making no headway, could it be the wrong direction? Could
- 5:08Speaker 1: you have possibly made the wrong choice. Don't get stuck
- 5:12Speaker 1: on yourself because you never made the wrong stuff. It's
- 5:14Speaker 1: okay to forgive yourself. It's okay to let yourself off
- 5:18Speaker 1: the hook. It's even smarter sometimes to admit that you
- 5:21Speaker 1: were wrong. You ever met somebody ain't ever wrong. Have
- 5:25Speaker 1: you ever met somebody you talk to, They ain't ever
- 5:28Speaker 1: wrong about nothing. Man, They just it's their way or
- 5:31Speaker 1: the highway. It's this is my way, this is the
- 5:35Speaker 1: I know people like that, stuck on them powered trips
- 5:37Speaker 1: and all like that. You know what I had to
- 5:39Speaker 1: learn how to do. I had to learn how to
- 5:41Speaker 1: let them go on them power trips. But listen to this.
- 5:44Speaker 1: Though you're not taking me on that trip. Though you're
- 5:47Speaker 1: going on that trip by yourself, I'm going in the
- 5:50Speaker 1: right direction. I've decided to stop the way. Okay, listen
- 5:55Speaker 1: to this person. This person, I decided to stop doing
- 5:59Speaker 1: business the way I was doing business. I decided to stop,
- 6:03Speaker 1: to allow business being done around me the way business
- 6:07Speaker 1: was being done around me. You know what, you know,
- 6:10Speaker 1: the best decision I made was to allow for God
- 6:15Speaker 1: to have some say so and to offer me his direction.
- 6:21Speaker 1: I have found him to be a better driver than
- 6:23Speaker 1: anyone else I know. I have found him to know
- 6:28Speaker 1: more about the man he made than anybody else who's
- 6:34Speaker 1: merely associating with me. I have found it to be
- 6:37Speaker 1: a fact that my maker knows more about the vehicle
- 6:42Speaker 1: he created than does anybody else. If you if your
- 6:46Speaker 1: Chevy break, don't you take it to Chevy. You don't
- 6:49Speaker 1: take your Forward when it break down to a Toyota dealership.
- 6:53Speaker 1: They not gonna know everything that the Forward dealership would
- 6:56Speaker 1: know about the vehicle. You know why, because they're not
- 6:59Speaker 1: the main of it. So now, why are you living?
- 7:03Speaker 1: You letting your life being led, controlled and guided by
- 7:08Speaker 1: somebody other than your maker. I'm just asking you to
- 7:12Speaker 1: let's all take a common sense look at this. So
- 7:16Speaker 1: if going to your maker's the best way, the best
- 7:18Speaker 1: decision I made in my business was take over my
- 7:22Speaker 1: brand myself, and to allow the maker of this brand
- 7:27Speaker 1: see without God, I'm none of this. I'm none of this.
- 7:30Speaker 1: I want you to clearly understand. I ain't none of
- 7:33Speaker 1: this without him. I wish I could have the guts
- 7:37Speaker 1: to reach back there and pat myself on the back
- 7:40Speaker 1: for what I've accomplished in my life. I wish I
- 7:42Speaker 1: had the guts. I wish the nerve of me because
- 7:46Speaker 1: I know for or fact that there is no way
- 7:50Speaker 1: that I could have manufacted the life that I have.
- 7:53Speaker 1: I could not even have thought of it. It's no
- 7:56Speaker 1: way I could have told you that this was the
- 7:58Speaker 1: route I was gonna take and this is the outcome
- 8:01Speaker 1: because of it. I had no idea, no clue. The
- 8:05Speaker 1: one thing I had, though, was an unshakable faith in God.
- 8:09Speaker 1: I had an I just kept believing in him. I
- 8:15Speaker 1: kept believing that he had something more for me. And
- 8:19Speaker 1: then when I touched base with him and asked him
- 8:21Speaker 1: to show me what it is what he had for me, Tada,
- 8:25Speaker 1: the magic show began. Because you know what he did.
- 8:28Speaker 1: He took all my natural abilities that he had given
- 8:32Speaker 1: to me. This gift that he gave me, that he
- 8:34Speaker 1: poured into me at birth, that same gift that he
- 8:37Speaker 1: poured into you at birth. The moment you go to
- 8:41Speaker 1: him and let him show you that gift and then
- 8:44Speaker 1: guess what. Once he takes what he naturally put in
- 8:47Speaker 1: you and put his super his superpowers on top of that,
- 8:52Speaker 1: then you have some supernatural things going on in your life,
- 8:55Speaker 1: and you may not be feeling me. I'm cool with that,
- 9:00Speaker 1: but I didn't have some supernatural things happen to me.
- 9:04Speaker 1: Every day I wake up some supernatural the man, the
- 9:09Speaker 1: rewards of my life, the awards of my life, the accomplishments,
- 9:13Speaker 1: the how I'm working, the how I manage it all,
- 9:16Speaker 1: all that ain't none but God. That ain't nothing but God.
- 9:19Speaker 1: You can't even explain this schedule to people. Sometimes when
- 9:22Speaker 1: people ask me, Steve, how do you do it? I go, well,
- 9:25Speaker 1: it's what I manage my time. Then at the end
- 9:27Speaker 1: of when I get through, I say, hey, man, you
- 9:28Speaker 1: know what I need to tell y'all for real, it's God.
- 9:31Speaker 1: I don't really know, but I'm letting him manage me.
- 9:34Speaker 1: So he handling it. He ain't gonna put no more
- 9:36Speaker 1: of it than I can bear. Listen to me, y'all,
- 9:38Speaker 1: don't be afraid to reinvent yourself and remember this. Don't
- 9:42Speaker 1: get stuck on yourself because you could be wrong. You know,
- 9:47Speaker 1: you absolutely could be wrong. If you don't tie this
- 9:51Speaker 1: to your gift, you will be struggling the rest of
- 9:55Speaker 1: your life. You're listening to it's that time. It's that time.
- 10:02Speaker 1: Wake up, everybody. This is the one and only the
- 10:05Speaker 1: legend the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Welcome, Welcome, Welcome. This

- 11:19Speaker 1: so it's an imaginary place in the movie. Yeah what
- 11:27Speaker 1: there were people in Wakandada forever. Thank you, thank you, Junior.
- 11:32Speaker 1: They had a flight to Wakan. You're drinking the crew lights. Okay,
- 11:37Speaker 1: that whole thing on the side of the wall that
- 11:39Speaker 1: took place. You don't think what kind it's a movie
- 11:43Speaker 1: thing fulk Okay, But anyway, my uncle is in. Let
- 11:47Speaker 1: me make something sence right by Swanna Africa. That's Rightwa Africa.
- 11:54Speaker 1: So we will be in a minute going live talking
- 11:58Speaker 1: to the legend, the one on missus Steve Are we
- 12:00Speaker 1: live in Botswana, Africa. That's exciting right there. That's exciting,
- 12:05Speaker 1: I mean really major. And he's got some some good
- 12:08Speaker 1: information he's supposed to deliver to us. So I'm excited
- 12:10Speaker 1: about it. Okay, all right, well, I can't wait to
- 12:13Speaker 1: get to it. We got a big show. I mean
- 12:15Speaker 1: you heard it. Uh, Steve live from Botswana, Africa. We're

- 12:46Speaker 1: be talking to him X. When we come back, we
- 12:47Speaker 1: will be talking to the one and only. All right, Well,
- 12:50Speaker 1: we got a great show. Great, Yeah, we got an

- 13:05Speaker 1: up south after Oh okay, all right, all right, well,
- 13:08Speaker 1: so we got a great show planned. As I was saying,
- 13:10Speaker 1: we're gonna find out what our crazy president is doing. Hey,
- 13:13Speaker 1: the Rock got married over the weekend. Yes, Reverend Al
- 13:18Speaker 1: have you seen his viral video? Have you seen the
- 13:21Speaker 1: viral video from Reverend Al Sharpton dancing all over the place.
- 13:25Speaker 1: We got a great show. Yeah, you gotta see this. Yeah,
- 13:29Speaker 1: he can dance, he can dance, he can dance. All right,
- 13:32Speaker 1: All that's coming up and really coming up. Steve Harvey
- 13:36Speaker 1: live from Botswana at thirty two after the hour when
- 13:40Speaker 1: we come back right after this you're listening to show.
- 13:45Speaker 1: Good morning everybody, Good morning, Good morning, good morning. What's
- 13:50Speaker 1: up man? Now listen to me. I'm calling here from Botany. Yesterday.
- 13:57Speaker 1: Yesterday I started on my African journey. I was in
- 14:01Speaker 1: Ghana and I was broadcasting from Ghana yesterday. But to
- 14:06Speaker 1: day I'm in Bwana by so here we go. So
- 14:09Speaker 1: right now it's around news here the le afternoons in Africa.
- 14:15Speaker 1: In boswanas okay. So if you're on the east coast,
- 14:20Speaker 1: I know at six, if you're on the West coast,
- 14:22Speaker 1: it's six. Don't wear about it. It's six something. It's swells.
- 14:28Speaker 1: So I've been up and already because I had to
- 14:31Speaker 1: get my day started early. I went in and I
- 14:35Speaker 1: toured Boswana TV stations, I toured by Twana radio stations.
- 14:42Speaker 1: And I'm about to go and meet with the head
- 14:46Speaker 1: of Tourism. The reason I'm telling you this and I
- 14:49Speaker 1: don't know how this meeting is gonna go. I have
- 14:51Speaker 1: some ideas and agenda of what we'll be talking about.
- 14:55Speaker 1: But one of the great things is I'm over here
- 14:58Speaker 1: and was invited over here by the President to come
- 15:02Speaker 1: over here to discuss bridging the gap between African Americans
- 15:06Speaker 1: and african Wait a minute, say that again. Hold on,
- 15:12Speaker 1: what is major you're doing? What I'm over here as
- 15:18Speaker 1: a person that they invited to help bridge the gap
- 15:22Speaker 1: between African Americans and Africans because we are the same people.
- 15:28Speaker 1: See what they try to get across to everybody. If
- 15:32Speaker 1: you're from Jamaica, you're Africans. If you're from Haiti, you're African.
- 15:37Speaker 1: If you're from Saint Thomas, you're African. If you're from Cleveland,
- 15:41Speaker 1: you African. If you're from Georgia, you African. You was
- 15:45Speaker 1: born in La you African. You have to understand the connection.
- 15:51Speaker 1: And they don't want any longer to be considered two
- 15:56Speaker 1: different people. And just as we fought to be called
- 16:00Speaker 1: African Americans, they are over here just Africans. But they
- 16:04Speaker 1: love us so much. They want the time to be strong.
- 16:07Speaker 1: And it started with the President of Ghana when he
- 16:10Speaker 1: started the initiative the four hundred year Return, everybody returning
- 16:14Speaker 1: back to Africa after, you know, to celebrate, well not
- 16:20Speaker 1: to celebrate, but too you know, so you know, the
- 16:25Speaker 1: four hundred years to commemorate when the first slave left
- 16:30Speaker 1: the continent and the mission of that whole initiative is
- 16:34Speaker 1: to bring about such an awareness so that this never
- 16:38Speaker 1: ever ever happens against the atrocities that were perpetrated us.
- 16:47Speaker 1: For me to walk into those slave castles and those
- 16:51Speaker 1: dungeons and see what they did to us, for what
- 16:56Speaker 1: they did to us was unthinkable. I've never fiend evilness
- 17:03Speaker 1: perpetrated against the people like that before, not at this
- 17:07Speaker 1: level and for this list the time. This went on
- 17:10Speaker 1: for four hundred years. Look, there were a lot of
- 17:13Speaker 1: atrocities in this world, but I'm telling you the one
- 17:17Speaker 1: that was perpetrated against Africas lasted for four hundred years,
- 17:24Speaker 1: and so far this can never ever happen again. So
- 17:28Speaker 1: what they want it's the connection to be more genuine,
- 17:32Speaker 1: more real, more permanent. They want to get people to
- 17:37Speaker 1: come back and see where they're from, to feel where
- 17:41Speaker 1: you're from, to come back home. This is your land,
- 17:44Speaker 1: and they want you to identify with this land. So
- 17:47Speaker 1: I'm over here Tourism board. I'll be meeting with I
- 17:52Speaker 1: have a meeting with the President. I've already toured the
- 17:55Speaker 1: TV and the radio studios, and so now I'm going
- 17:59Speaker 1: to this meeting and I'm gonna let you all know
- 18:02Speaker 1: what we're doing over here. And how we can start
- 18:05Speaker 1: the additiative. But it's just been enlightening. Is powerful. It's
- 18:09Speaker 1: incredible to be so many, to see so many people
- 18:12Speaker 1: like ourselves in powerful positions. It's it's it's such a
- 18:17Speaker 1: great thing, man, It's really emotional. I'm feel excited about
- 18:20Speaker 1: being this. Hold On, hold on, hold on, hold on.
- 18:23Speaker 1: Do they know anything about me yet? Have you told
- 18:26Speaker 1: them about timing all of that? He said, I told
- 18:32Speaker 1: who about Tommy? The people in Africa like prank Cole.
- 18:36Speaker 1: Do they know anything about me? Huh? Have you been
- 18:41Speaker 1: listening to anything? I said, Yeah, you did. I mean
- 18:46Speaker 1: you sound like we're friend to move over there, and
- 18:48Speaker 1: that's cool, but I want them to know who I
- 18:49Speaker 1: am for. I get over that. Hey, dog, just ain't
- 18:52Speaker 1: about just you. I'm talking to a whole nation of people.
- 18:57Speaker 1: I'm dog, there's a whole continent over you. Yeah right,
- 19:02Speaker 1: but dude, a continent. No, your nephew. He hasn't heard
- 19:06Speaker 1: anything you said, obviously said, oh your table, Yeah yeah,
- 19:09Speaker 1: yeah he did. Yeah. I don't think so. I don't
- 19:15Speaker 1: think I heard everything you. I'm listening to you, but
- 19:19Speaker 1: you didn't say anything about me and them. But Tommy,
- 19:22Speaker 1: Steve is on the move right now. He's going from
- 19:26Speaker 1: place to place right now, right, And if you're friend
- 19:28Speaker 1: to go into a meeting, then you need to bring
- 19:30Speaker 1: me up when you're into meeting. Steven. Right, all right,
- 19:34Speaker 1: I gotta ask you something when we come back. Uh,
- 19:38Speaker 1: that nephew of yours. Uh, we're coming back. Steve's in Africa.
- 19:43Speaker 1: He's in Botswana. Ladies and gentlemen, all right, wow, how
- 19:47Speaker 1: exciting is this? All right? Nephew, bring back. You gotta
- 19:52Speaker 1: frank for us coming up right after this you're listening
- 19:56Speaker 1: to coming up next, the nephew, it's gonna run that
- 20:01Speaker 1: prank back. But don't forget. Steve Harvey is standing by
- 20:04Speaker 1: All Morning Live from Botswana, Africa. You heard me, Botswana, Africa,
- 20:10Speaker 1: the Motherland. We'll talk to Steve Harvey and we'll also
- 20:13Speaker 1: do some entertainment news. Dwayne the Rock Johnson is married now.
- 20:17Speaker 1: Broke a lot of hearts with that. And the viral
- 20:19Speaker 1: video that's taken the nation by storm, Reverend Al Sharpton
- 20:23Speaker 1: dancing as he celebrates Harlem Wick. That's gone viral. But
- 20:27Speaker 1: the nephew, what do you have for us today? As
- 20:29Speaker 1: you run that prank back? I have toe truck driver,
- 20:34Speaker 1: Toe truck driver, why do you see bouba? Oh, I
- 20:41Speaker 1: can do it? You know what the toe truck dru?
- 20:46Speaker 1: All right, let's run a cat dog toe truck drib
- 20:48Speaker 1: and toe is tw not t oe, No, it's to
- 20:52Speaker 1: ain't it? The toe ain't? Nobody told nobody big toe?
- 20:56Speaker 1: What is wrong with you? Poe L t w You
- 21:00Speaker 1: know what I'm talking about? When to put that truck
- 21:02Speaker 1: right behind it? Though? And nobody said toe foot driver,
- 21:06Speaker 1: it's told truck drive, y'all? So problem held truck drove.
- 21:11Speaker 1: Come on, kid, Candy, man, they didn't blew out the
- 21:15Speaker 1: whole electrical system in the old Hello. Hello, I'm trying.
- 21:19Speaker 1: I'm trying. I'm trying to find Candy. Who is this?
- 21:22Speaker 1: It's canny man. Okay you you are you the guy
- 21:25Speaker 1: with the toe truck. You're you're the toe truck driver
- 21:28Speaker 1: and that trucking. Okay, Hey man, you jump started my
- 21:31Speaker 1: girl's car three days ago and blew the old electrical
- 21:35Speaker 1: system out. Man, I did hold on, hold on, let
- 21:38Speaker 1: me get back to my truck. You said, I did
- 21:40Speaker 1: what man? You do jump people's vehicles when they when

- 21:45Speaker 1: I do. I jumped vehicles. Yes, okay, so you actually
- 21:49Speaker 1: did my girl's car about three days ago. Man, you
- 21:52Speaker 1: just started her car. But now when you you over

- 22:03Speaker 1: about this's gonna be my fifteen hundred dollars to get
- 22:06Speaker 1: fifty I'm sorry now, who was this name? My name

- 28:55Speaker 1: and all of his fineness is now off the market. Ladies,
- 28:58Speaker 1: why you just can't say the Rock got married? You
- 29:00Speaker 1: ain't got so fine to sit there, because the ladies
- 29:04Speaker 1: know what I'm talking about. This this has nothing to
- 29:06Speaker 1: do with you, Junior. Nothing. I cannot believe anyway. He
- 29:11Speaker 1: finally exchanged vows. The Rock did with his longtime girlfriend,
- 29:15Speaker 1: Lauren hashane Uh in Hawaii. The two have been together
- 29:19Speaker 1: since two thousand and seven and have two young daughters.
- 29:23Speaker 1: The Rock also has an eighteen year old daughter with
- 29:25Speaker 1: his ex wife. And Wow, Tommy, I'm gonna ask you
- 29:29Speaker 1: this since since you're married on the show, any marital
- 29:33Speaker 1: advice for the Rock. I try to do with the
- 29:38Speaker 1: straight you know, you know, hey, Hey, I can handle it.
- 29:43Speaker 1: You know, I'm ready to love. I'm always ready to love.
- 29:46Speaker 1: I like the way right there, you see that transition
- 29:50Speaker 1: right What the Rock has to do. The Rock has
- 29:53Speaker 1: to make sure that he puts a lot of effort
- 29:55Speaker 1: in making sure that his beautiful, lovely wife is happy.
- 29:58Speaker 1: You want to come home, you want to do some
- 29:59Speaker 1: things for her her, You want to take the load
- 30:01Speaker 1: off of her sometimes. But you know, when you're a
- 30:03Speaker 1: millionnailo Rock, she shouldn't have a load on her hands.
- 30:05Speaker 1: But make sure that you are present in her life
- 30:08Speaker 1: and giving her everything, giving her all her flowers. Right now,
- 30:11Speaker 1: that's what the Rock needs. Who is who is this?
- 30:14Speaker 1: Who is this. Yeah, excuse me, Thomas, I'm shocked. Yeah,
- 30:20Speaker 1: sho no, because it made sense. Yeah, you know, come
- 30:23Speaker 1: come home sometimes, even though you got the money for
- 30:26Speaker 1: a chef and all that time, you don't come home
- 30:28Speaker 1: with me. Throw that Throw that apron on rock and
- 30:30Speaker 1: cook for your beautiful lady, your bride may sometimes this
- 30:33Speaker 1: boy got a feed. Okay, I gotta ask because it's
- 30:36Speaker 1: you when you put the apron on what do you
- 30:40Speaker 1: have underneath it? I'm nothing? Okay, See it's Tommy. Don't
- 30:45Speaker 1: be fooled. Don't let this fool taste fool you. It's
- 30:48Speaker 1: Tammy hiding inside of Thomas. But but they just got married,
- 30:53Speaker 1: so you know want you want that? Are the kids
- 30:57Speaker 1: in the house, Well, they're young daughters. Yes, yes, a
- 31:03Speaker 1: whole lot of babies. Their babies, the little babies. I'm
- 31:07Speaker 1: trying to figure out how to put the apron on
- 31:08Speaker 1: call if we're gonna happen. All right, Well, thanks for
- 31:14Speaker 1: that advice. All right. Finally, listen, Reverend Al Sharpton was
- 31:18Speaker 1: dancing in the streets of Harlem for Harlem Week. Uh.
- 31:23Speaker 1: It was cute, It really was cute. Yeah, moves like that.
- 31:29Speaker 1: He ain't always been a deacon of a Cloue. Okay,
- 31:32Speaker 1: you always been a man, Cloe. Also, we got to
- 31:34Speaker 1: give a huge shout out to our home station up
- 31:36Speaker 1: there in New York one or seven point five WBLS
- 31:39Speaker 1: celebrating the history, the culture, and the brilliance of all
- 31:43Speaker 1: that is Harlem. All right, So, as we've been mentioning
- 31:45Speaker 1: all morning, Steve is live from Botswana, Africa. He's calling
- 31:50Speaker 1: in to tell us what he's doing over there. It's big.
- 31:53Speaker 1: Just know that it is big. Okay, you're gonna want
- 31:56Speaker 1: to stay, stick around and hear what he has to
- 31:58Speaker 1: say live from Botswana, Africa. Before we get to Steve,
- 32:01Speaker 1: we're gonna go to Mithan ladies and gentlemen, our very
- 32:05Speaker 1: own and shrip. Okay. Wow, that's a nice introduction from
- 32:09Speaker 1: far far away. Good morning everybody. This is entered for
- 32:11Speaker 1: the news. It took five years talking about far away.
- 32:14Speaker 1: But New York City Police Commissioner James O'Neill has fired
- 32:17Speaker 1: Daniel Pantaleo. That's the cop involved on the show called
- 32:20Speaker 1: Death of Eric Garner. Mister Garner was being arrested by
- 32:23Speaker 1: several white officers for merely allegedly selling Lucy's or single cigarettes.
- 32:27Speaker 1: Outside of a convenience store. His last words, I can't breathe,
- 32:31Speaker 1: he said eleven times, became a rallying cry of the
- 32:33Speaker 1: Black Lives movement, and despite a video of the incident
- 32:36Speaker 1: and most recently a ruling by the NYPD departmental trial
- 32:40Speaker 1: judge that stated that Pantalio was untruthful and should be bounced,
- 32:44Speaker 1: the Commissioner made it clear that he still made his
- 32:46Speaker 1: decision reluctantly. An officers choices and actions, even made under
- 32:50Speaker 1: extreme pressure matter. It's unlikely that mister Garner thought he
- 32:54Speaker 1: was in such poor health had a brief struggle with
- 32:57Speaker 1: the police would cause his death. He should have decided
- 32:59Speaker 1: to resisting arrest. But a man with family lost his life,
- 33:03Speaker 1: and that is an irreversible tragedy, and a hard working
- 33:06Speaker 1: police officer with the family, a man who took this
- 33:08Speaker 1: job to do good, to make a difference in his
- 33:10Speaker 1: home community, has now lost his chosen career. The unintended
- 33:14Speaker 1: consequence of mister Garner's death must have a consequence of
- 33:18Speaker 1: its own. Therefore, I agree with the Deputy Commissioner of
- 33:21Speaker 1: Trials legal findings and recommendations. It is clear that Daniel
- 33:25Speaker 1: Pantalaio can no longer effectively serve as a New York
- 33:28Speaker 1: City Police officer, and he loses his pension. No real surprise.
- 33:31Speaker 1: Rank and fal cops not happy. In fact, union president
- 33:34Speaker 1: Patrick Lynch accuses the commissioner of putting politics over his officers.
- 33:38Speaker 1: The police union vowing to appeal under New York City's
- 33:40Speaker 1: civil service laws. The Garner family says they want all
- 33:43Speaker 1: the officers involved to face charges. They're demanding to see
- 33:46Speaker 1: the minutes from the Staten Island grand jury proceedings in
- 33:49Speaker 1: Pantalio's criminal case to see if any of the other
- 33:51Speaker 1: cops involved lied under oath. Reverend al Sharpton says that
- 33:54Speaker 1: the community plans to lobby Albany lawmaker is also to
- 33:57Speaker 1: formally outlaw the chokehole. Said, Pantalaedo shouldn't be fired. Well,
- 34:03Speaker 1: if he should have been fired for chokehole, let's make
- 34:05Speaker 1: a state law about chokehole. Eric Garner's mother, Gwen car
- 34:10Speaker 1: says that Pantalio may have lost his job, but she
- 34:12Speaker 1: lost her son. Meanwhile, the white man in Florida is
- 34:15Speaker 1: being tried for manslaughter for shooting a young black man
- 34:18Speaker 1: to death because the black man's girlfriend parked in a
- 34:20Speaker 1: handicap parking space outside of a convenience store with her
- 34:24Speaker 1: their kids inside the car. He went in to make
- 34:26Speaker 1: a quick purchase and came out and confronted the guy
- 34:28Speaker 1: because he was screaming at his girlfriend to get him away.
- 34:31Speaker 1: The white man shot him to death and claimed he
- 34:34Speaker 1: was standing his ground. He was indicted though, on manslaughter. Today.
- 34:37Speaker 1: By the way, is National Rangatang Day. I think that's
- 34:42Speaker 1: a chimp. Now back to the Steve Harvey won. That
- 34:44Speaker 1: was to Steve over there. You're listening to the Steve
- 34:48Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show. I'm so excited. This is really exciting.
- 34:52Speaker 1: Steve Harvey, our fearless leader, is on the phone with
- 34:55Speaker 1: us live from Botswana, Africa. WHOA, that is a major
- 35:00Speaker 1: right there. But the reason you're on this trip, Steve,
- 35:04Speaker 1: you were telling us earlier, is because you're meeting with
- 35:08Speaker 1: the officials there to help bridge the gap between Africans
- 35:13Speaker 1: there and African Americans here, correct, right, because you know
- 35:18Speaker 1: tourism it's big over here. The gaming lodges are huge
- 35:25Speaker 1: over here in Botswana, and it's just it just troubles
- 35:29Speaker 1: them that they don't see African Americans coming to partake
- 35:36Speaker 1: in this and understand more about their culture and see
- 35:40Speaker 1: the land that they're originally from. And so that's one
- 35:43Speaker 1: of the initiatives and I was asked to come over
- 35:46Speaker 1: here to look at that, along with look at some
- 35:49Speaker 1: of the other things that they're doing over here with
- 35:53Speaker 1: Botswana Television and with events and with Botwana Ray deal
- 36:00Speaker 1: and things like that. If anything I could lend to
- 36:03Speaker 1: them or advise them on, but a lot of it's
- 36:06Speaker 1: with the Tourism Board. A lot of them is looking
- 36:09Speaker 1: at their auditors and facilities. You know, they're just looking
- 36:12Speaker 1: for ways to really grow this country and make it, uh,
- 36:17Speaker 1: you know, just a known commodity. And they really just
- 36:20Speaker 1: want African Americans to understand more about who they are.
- 36:26Speaker 1: You know, it's like fifty two countries over here, two
- 36:29Speaker 1: fifty four countries over here on it it's fifty two
- 36:32Speaker 1: countries on the continent. It's massive, man to really understand
- 36:36Speaker 1: what's happening here. You look at America, We're talking about
- 36:39Speaker 1: thirty five million African Americans in the United States, thirty
- 36:45Speaker 1: five millions in Nigeria. It's two hundred million Africans for
- 36:53Speaker 1: us not to know more about ourselves. Yeah right, yeah,
- 36:59Speaker 1: So Steve, let me stop you right there. I gotta
- 37:01Speaker 1: ask you why you? How did they I mean, I
- 37:04Speaker 1: know we joke a lot about you being international, but
- 37:08Speaker 1: how did they find you? And why you to do this?
- 37:11Speaker 1: This is greatness? But why you? Well? I received an
- 37:15Speaker 1: award in uh To Bye earlier this year, like in
- 37:23Speaker 1: March or something like that. I received this global awards
- 37:28Speaker 1: called the Links Award, and they gave this Links Award
- 37:31Speaker 1: out to the most globally recognized person in television and media.
- 37:36Speaker 1: And I hold it that person look on the radio
- 37:40Speaker 1: on a TV. I got a social media presence. And
- 37:44Speaker 1: you know, for a guy my age to have a
- 37:47Speaker 1: social media presence that I got, it's like huge. You know.
- 37:50Speaker 1: All right, Steve hold that thought. I hate to interrupt
- 37:52Speaker 1: you because this is good, but we'll talk about this
- 37:55Speaker 1: more at thirty four after I will take a short
- 37:57Speaker 1: break and be right back right after this. You're listening
- 38:03Speaker 1: Steves in Africa. He's in Botswana. Ladies and gentlemen, what
- 38:07Speaker 1: were you saying about that? Over here? Over in Dubai.
- 38:12Speaker 1: When I received the award, I met some people from
- 38:17Speaker 1: Africa and they started saying, we have been wanting to
- 38:21Speaker 1: find a way to reach you, and so we came
- 38:24Speaker 1: over here to meet you, and they met. And then
- 38:26Speaker 1: the next thing, you know, some things happening. I get
- 38:31Speaker 1: introduced through some business associates of mine and I meet
- 38:36Speaker 1: the president and I loved him. His name is President mcketzie,
- 38:41Speaker 1: and I met him and we talked, and one thing
- 38:44Speaker 1: led to another, and next thing I knew, I started
- 38:47Speaker 1: getting some more phone calls, and then I got this invite.
- 38:50Speaker 1: I told him I was on vacation. It was empty,
- 38:52Speaker 1: and they said, well before you go home, could you
- 38:55Speaker 1: come here? And then I was invited to go to
- 38:58Speaker 1: the to commemorate the four hundred years of us leaving
- 39:04Speaker 1: our homeland. And I stopped in Ghanna, UH and went
- 39:09Speaker 1: to the slave castles, which I'm gonna talk about this
- 39:12Speaker 1: at a later day, but it's one of the most
- 39:14Speaker 1: emotional things I've ever done. I'll cover that in another
- 39:17Speaker 1: time when I when I get back on the air
- 39:20Speaker 1: and Uh, I got invited there and I went there
- 39:23Speaker 1: and I met the President of Donna. Last night. When
- 39:27Speaker 1: I was going to get on the plane, the President
- 39:29Speaker 1: of Gonna said, I heard he's in my country. I
- 39:32Speaker 1: want to meet him. Told me and my wife and
- 39:36Speaker 1: three of my kids went and met the President, I
- 39:39Speaker 1: got on the play, came to Botswana, and I started
- 39:42Speaker 1: the morning off this way. So and that's that's really
- 39:46Speaker 1: how it started. Your friends, So you've been at meetings
- 39:49Speaker 1: and stuff all day, right and doing initiatives and all
- 39:55Speaker 1: of this. Excuse me, Steve, we're trying to figure out
- 39:59Speaker 1: what in the world is your nephew if you're talking
- 40:02Speaker 1: about are you listening? I'm saying, I mean, you're doing
- 40:07Speaker 1: a great thing. But if I'd have gave you a
- 40:09Speaker 1: case of the prank CD, I could have passed to
- 40:11Speaker 1: my all them kings over there, everybody could have been lame.
- 40:19Speaker 1: And I mean, we're gonna have this connection and this
- 40:22Speaker 1: bridge we're doing. I got to prank somebody over that.
- 40:26Speaker 1: You really feel that you have. I feel like I
- 40:29Speaker 1: should prank a king at least. Please get your nephew, Steve.
- 40:32Speaker 1: I'm in bear. You know what, I'm pretty sure just
- 40:35Speaker 1: ain't what they had in mind. You're right, but right now,
- 40:43Speaker 1: what are you about to do? Right now? Steve? It's
- 40:44Speaker 1: like one o'clock or what what about one thirty over there? Now?
- 40:50Speaker 1: Now I'm going in After I did the tour this
- 40:53Speaker 1: morning and I started to beat some of the top

- 41:03Speaker 1: out of there, I'll give y'all a call back and

- 41:08Speaker 1: be in there for hours, sober. Let me get back
- 41:11Speaker 1: to y'all and I give you a report what I'm doing.
- 41:14Speaker 1: And we got some exciting stuff, and I think it's
- 41:16Speaker 1: just gonna be some great stuff for us, because you know,
- 41:21Speaker 1: I'm always thinking about my radio audience, man, and what
- 41:24Speaker 1: what this could mean to you in terms of awareness
- 41:27Speaker 1: and travel and things like that. And then speaking of travel,
- 41:31Speaker 1: I'm gonna come back. I gotta mention saying and so
- 41:35Speaker 1: because I gotta get you all to know what we've done,
- 41:38Speaker 1: how we did it, how it's turned out. I got
- 41:41Speaker 1: video footage, I got everything, because you know, we had
- 41:45Speaker 1: to leave the dr So when I let me do this,
- 41:48Speaker 1: let me go and see what time I got to
- 41:50Speaker 1: go back in and I might be able to join
- 41:52Speaker 1: you on the next break and let me bring you
- 41:54Speaker 1: up to speed. And then I'm gonna come back and
- 41:55Speaker 1: I'll tell you what I did with the ambassador. Al Right,
- 42:00Speaker 1: Okaying about the King of Pranks. All right, Steve, thank you.
- 42:06Speaker 1: This is wonderful live from Botswana. All right, well, we'll
- 42:09Speaker 1: talk to you a little bit later this morning. Find
- 42:12Speaker 1: out what you need to know and we'll get back. Wow,
- 42:15Speaker 1: this is excellent. This is really good, Tummy. You need
- 42:17Speaker 1: to be quiet. All right. Well, I mean he's sort
- 42:21Speaker 1: of telling the truth. He didn't lie. He is the
- 42:24Speaker 1: King of Pranks. We'll be back with the prank phone
- 42:26Speaker 1: called King right after this. You're listening to the show,
- 42:32Speaker 1: all right, coming up at the top of the hour,
- 42:34Speaker 1: right about four minutes after. It's my strawberry letter for today,
- 42:37Speaker 1: a special one. We're gonna talk more with Steve live
- 42:41Speaker 1: from Botswana, Africa. Right now, the nephew is here with
- 42:44Speaker 1: today's prank phone call. What you got for us? Nef,
- 42:48Speaker 1: there is weed in the church Van. What I'm gonna
- 42:54Speaker 1: say that one more time? I said there is weed
- 42:59Speaker 1: and the church Vanow, let's not run over that. Let's
- 43:05Speaker 1: go back to that one more time to go over
- 43:09Speaker 1: just like, yeah, one more time? Hate him? Come on, kay,
- 43:20Speaker 1: let me eat in the church. Vante. Hello, I'm trying
- 43:29Speaker 1: to reach Dann brother brother Dan Dan Hello, Hello, because
- 43:32Speaker 1: I see that I'm trying to read brother dare, Brother
- 43:37Speaker 1: Dan oh, okay, yeah, this brother Scott from the church
- 43:41Speaker 1: from Belt to Baptist. Hello, brother, yeah, I call you.
- 43:45Speaker 1: I'm trying to get a little information about the church. Van.
- 43:48Speaker 1: What's what's your schedule? Uh? Uh? Will you drive the church?
- 43:52Speaker 1: And what's what's your schedule? I'd love it Wednesday, Fridays
- 43:57Speaker 1: and Sundays. Okay? When then Friday, Sunday? Now Sunday? What
- 44:03Speaker 1: what is that schedule? O? Sunday. I usually start about
- 44:08Speaker 1: eight o'clock in the morning, probably a little earlier, depending
- 44:11Speaker 1: on some of the elderly people that I had to
- 44:13Speaker 1: go pick up and bring to the church. Make sure
- 44:15Speaker 1: they get there okay, and get situated and make sure
- 44:19Speaker 1: they're on time for the service and whatnot. Okay, and
- 44:22Speaker 1: then you take them back home after service is over. Yes,
- 44:26Speaker 1: I try to get all of them back home, unless
- 44:28Speaker 1: they got family members or something that come up there
- 44:30Speaker 1: and meet them up there and want to take them
- 44:31Speaker 1: to Jenna or sun afterwards. But I usually get everybody
- 44:34Speaker 1: back home okay. Okay. Now this class Sunday, which is
- 44:40Speaker 1: part of the reason why I'm calling me. They saying
- 44:44Speaker 1: that some of the church members that was on the
- 44:48Speaker 1: band this Sunday. They are complaining saying that, um that
- 44:54Speaker 1: the church band was smelling like weed when they got
- 44:57Speaker 1: on there. Excuse me, they say the church van was
- 45:02Speaker 1: spitting like weed when they got on there. And you
- 45:05Speaker 1: are the person that was driving. No, no, no, no,
- 45:08Speaker 1: no no no no, not not the van that that
- 45:10Speaker 1: I'm driving. So I don't no, I don't. I ain't
- 45:13Speaker 1: smoke weed, and no van, do you smoke weed? No,
- 45:19Speaker 1: I don't smoke weed. I mean not Carly. I mean
- 45:22Speaker 1: I have before, but I don't smoke weed now and
- 45:24Speaker 1: I wouldn't smoke weed before picking Some people look to
- 45:26Speaker 1: go to now where you carry it from? Who told
- 45:32Speaker 1: you this? Well? All I knew is what what's coming down?
- 45:35Speaker 1: The pipeline is? They saying that a couple of the
- 45:38Speaker 1: members came complaining this just happened last week about this pipeline.
- 45:44Speaker 1: I want to know who the pipeline is because just
- 45:46Speaker 1: last week they came and me talking about that I
- 45:49Speaker 1: was using the van to go places that I wanted
- 45:51Speaker 1: to go to on my personal time. Now I don't
- 45:53Speaker 1: do that. I don't do stuff like that. And now
- 45:55Speaker 1: I have had a pass. I don't had a history.
- 45:57Speaker 1: But I don't do stuff like that, and I wouldn't
- 45:59Speaker 1: smoke no church fan. So are you seriously talking? What? What? What? What?
- 46:04Speaker 1: We're trying to We're trying to get to the bottom
- 46:06Speaker 1: of it and see what's going on with you. Sulderly
- 46:10Speaker 1: person said, do you know which one? Don't they loved me?
- 46:14Speaker 1: Every Sunday? Didn't people tell me they loved me? They
- 46:17Speaker 1: say I'm one of the most respectful young gentlemen they've
- 46:19Speaker 1: ever met in their life. And so I really find
- 46:21Speaker 1: it hard to believe that you you you getting these
- 46:23Speaker 1: type of complaints about me. Okay, what I'm saying like, oh,
- 46:27Speaker 1: we I don't know what that means or nothing like that. Look, brothers,
- 46:32Speaker 1: I don't know you too well, and I know you
- 46:33Speaker 1: don't know leave. But I've been driving this vans as
- 46:37Speaker 1: a point to try to change my life and where
- 46:39Speaker 1: I come from. So this was with something that I
- 46:41Speaker 1: wanted to volunteer even though I'm getting paid to give
- 46:44Speaker 1: my time to do this for the church. And now
- 46:46Speaker 1: this is like the second instance where y'all and came
- 46:49Speaker 1: at me on some stuff about like I'm trying to
- 46:51Speaker 1: do something with this van. Now, why would I disrespect
- 46:53Speaker 1: the church van by smoking weed in it and then
- 46:56Speaker 1: letting the weeds stay in there so other people could
- 46:58Speaker 1: sell it. Okay, so let me ain't what we're gonna do.
- 47:01Speaker 1: We're gonna go out here to the church. They had
- 47:03Speaker 1: to say, we're gonna go out here today and open
- 47:06Speaker 1: it up. Now, if we see any seeds or anything
- 47:09Speaker 1: around the driver's seat, then that then then we're gonna
- 47:13Speaker 1: We're gonna definitely uh a point, you gonna open the
- 47:16Speaker 1: van up? Man, I was raising that church. Man, My
- 47:18Speaker 1: mamma go to that church, my grandma. See you go
- 47:21Speaker 1: to that church. See the reason we even all left
- 47:23Speaker 1: that church. And you think I'm gonna mess up? They
- 47:25Speaker 1: ain't by driving around in the band full of elderly
- 47:27Speaker 1: people smoking some ill like we need blood. Dad, I
- 47:32Speaker 1: don't know how to st the bad smell like weed, man,
- 47:35Speaker 1: now I don't. I don't got the answers to these questions.
- 47:38Speaker 1: I'm just trying to tell you that it wasn't me.
- 47:40Speaker 1: Did you ask some weed in your pocket? It with
- 47:42Speaker 1: your smelling. I ain't had no weed on me. Stop
- 47:45Speaker 1: trying to say like I had weed on me and
- 47:47Speaker 1: you ain't gonna get me nothing that I ha no,
- 47:49Speaker 1: and we ain't had no weed on me. Okay, Now
- 47:51Speaker 1: you ain't gonna miss up my name or my family's
- 47:53Speaker 1: name in this church and disrespect us like this. Now,
- 47:56Speaker 1: We've been helping this church for years, and I'm trying
- 47:59Speaker 1: to tell you that I ain't riding around and no
- 48:01Speaker 1: fans smoking no weed with no elderly people. Did you
- 48:04Speaker 1: ask any of the elderly people if they had any
- 48:05Speaker 1: weed on them? Uh? No, we did No. No, I
- 48:10Speaker 1: didn't think about no elderly people having no weed. So
- 48:14Speaker 1: you just assume it's me what one of them? Guy
- 48:16Speaker 1: got coma or something? What? What? What? You know? What?
- 48:20Speaker 1: You know? Who? I think? What? Did you know? Who
- 48:21Speaker 1: I think the weed belonged to? Oh? Oh, I think
- 48:25Speaker 1: I think the weed belonged and a few tim from
- 48:28Speaker 1: the Steve Harvey Show. What man, damn, you just got preak.
- 48:40Speaker 1: Oh my god, you just got preak to put in
- 48:43Speaker 1: his name. His name is brother, Uh brother Lawrence, Lawrence
- 48:48Speaker 1: ros Lawrence, Oh Larry Larry, but law Larry here in
- 49:02Speaker 1: trouble with me? Van Man, I got one more thing
- 49:10Speaker 1: that I got one more thing to ask you man,
- 49:12Speaker 1: what is the saddest And I mean the baddest radio
- 49:16Speaker 1: show in the land. Man Steve Harvey Morning Man, go
- 49:25Speaker 1: no rist Man going on the chill out the rest
- 49:27Speaker 1: of the day. I tried, Man, I know I ain't
- 49:29Speaker 1: gonna smoke no weed. We better not find anymore weed
- 49:37Speaker 1: in the church van, all right. It was like you
- 49:41Speaker 1: gotta hold to it fastor me for me. Never mean
- 49:46Speaker 1: August thirty than thirty first later day weekend. But that's
- 49:48Speaker 1: the blues and Jazz Supper Club. The Nephew is there
- 49:51Speaker 1: back by popular Man. Two shows Friday, two Saturday. That
- 49:55Speaker 1: would be some blues, that would be some jazz, that
- 49:57Speaker 1: would be supper and there will will be laughter, all right,
- 50:02Speaker 1: all right, but that's the blues and jazz back back
- 50:06Speaker 1: by Papa the Man. Everybody said a man, Amen, Amen
- 50:10Speaker 1: again and Amen one more time. Amen, Amen, all right,
- 50:16Speaker 1: and then we're gonna move on later where we will
- 50:18Speaker 1: be visiting Greenville, North Carolina. Hum well, that would be
- 50:26Speaker 1: September the seventh in the Greenville Convention Center. Anybody yeah,
- 50:34Speaker 1: is that a question? That would be comedy exploding in
- 50:41Speaker 1: Greenville on September. That s having that big Greenville Convention Center.
- 50:45Speaker 1: I want to thank you so kindly for those few moments.
- 50:48Speaker 1: I want to preach today on I'm sorry, I'm sorry,
- 50:52Speaker 1: no good. I want to hear this sermon. We want
- 50:54Speaker 1: to preach your pastor, let's preach today on is good
- 51:01Speaker 1: for the soul? One more time? One more time? Is
- 51:07Speaker 1: good for the soul? What school do you go to
- 51:10Speaker 1: when you preach it? When you come out sounding like that?
- 51:13Speaker 1: Seminary school is that? I don't know what school is that.
- 51:18Speaker 1: I want to take the time right now, Yes, come
- 51:21Speaker 1: on to talk about me. Steve Harvey Morning Show. We
- 51:25Speaker 1: wily be talking to him again from Bethanza. I'm sorry,
- 51:29Speaker 1: not Bethanzamawa. That's right, you're listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 51:38Speaker 1: All right, Steve uh live from Botswanna. So exciting you're
- 51:43Speaker 1: over there in the Motherland. In case you're just joining us,
- 51:47Speaker 1: Stevens doing big things, I mean big things, Steve, Why
- 51:50Speaker 1: don't you tell us about it? Well, you know, I'm
- 51:54Speaker 1: over here as a part of an initiative from the
- 51:57Speaker 1: country about Swanna to bring about where en bridge the
- 52:01Speaker 1: gap between Africans and African Americans because they as a
- 52:07Speaker 1: part of the commemorative of the four hundred years slave trade.
- 52:13Speaker 1: They never want this to happen again. That's the main focus.
- 52:17Speaker 1: This can never ever happen again. So one of the
- 52:21Speaker 1: main things they want to do is bring a closeness
- 52:24Speaker 1: between us and them, which is really just us. We
- 52:29Speaker 1: want to stop saying us and them. It's us they
- 52:33Speaker 1: they They've made me really understand something. If you're Jamaican,
- 52:37Speaker 1: you're African. Yeah. If you Hatian, you Africans. I'm telling you.
- 52:42Speaker 1: If you Brazil, your Africans when you think that comes
- 52:46Speaker 1: from And so all of us in the United States
- 52:49Speaker 1: are Africans. That's why we fought so hard to be
- 52:51Speaker 1: called African Americans, so we can identify without home. And
- 52:55Speaker 1: other people get to go home to Italy and Croatia
- 52:59Speaker 1: and they get to go home to Scotland and Ireland
- 53:02Speaker 1: and go back home to the UK, and that's a
- 53:05Speaker 1: beautiful thing. I should have that same beautiful thing. And
- 53:09Speaker 1: so that's what they bought me over here to do.
- 53:12Speaker 1: I'm going into some meetings later on today. I'll keep
- 53:16Speaker 1: you abreast after what I'm doing, and it's just gonna
- 53:19Speaker 1: be really positive for us. I reported them all in
- 53:22Speaker 1: and just let you all know that I hate to
- 53:24Speaker 1: cut you off, Steve, but in America. We still have
- 53:27Speaker 1: to do the Strawberry letter. So up, hold up, hold up,
- 53:32Speaker 1: check this out, check this out. Since I'm since I'm
- 53:37Speaker 1: back at work. This is why I want y'all do.
- 53:40Speaker 1: I want you all to play? And you know what
- 53:42Speaker 1: it is. I ain't even got to set it up.
- 53:44Speaker 1: Play one of them. I have about three hundred. Play
- 53:48Speaker 1: one of my favorites, Strawberry Letters. Jeff for me, We
- 53:52Speaker 1: got you, We got you. Yeah, all right, so listen.
- 53:58Speaker 1: If you need some advice in relationship, ships, on dating, work, sex, parenting,
- 54:02Speaker 1: and more, please submit your Strawberry Letter to Steve Harvey
- 54:04Speaker 1: FM and click submit to Strawberry Letter. Were ready, Steve?
- 54:09Speaker 1: Were ready? All right, let's get buggle hold on, Tyke.
- 54:16Speaker 1: We got it for you. It's a Strawberry letter subject
- 54:19Speaker 1: thanks for having a child for my man, Dear Stephen Shirley.
- 54:23Speaker 1: Let's just get right to it. Here's my dilemma. I'm
- 54:26Speaker 1: a thirty eight year old woman and I've never wanted
- 54:28Speaker 1: to have children. Five years ago, I was in a
- 54:31Speaker 1: great relationship and we were talking about getting married. But
- 54:34Speaker 1: he wanted children and I did not, So we mutually
- 54:39Speaker 1: decided to end our relationship. We could not deny that
- 54:43Speaker 1: we were still in love with each other. So two
- 54:45Speaker 1: years after we broke up, we reconnected and have been
- 54:48Speaker 1: seeing each other off and on since then. While we've
- 54:52Speaker 1: been spending time together, he started a relationship with a
- 54:55Speaker 1: new woman and they had a child together, and he
- 54:58Speaker 1: couldn't be happy. He has told me that he wants
- 55:02Speaker 1: to marry the woman so that his child will have
- 55:04Speaker 1: the kind of upbringing he had with both parents present.
- 55:08Speaker 1: I truly believe now that he has a son he wanted,
- 55:11Speaker 1: he and I can get back together and get married.
- 55:14Speaker 1: He tells me every day that he loves me, so
- 55:17Speaker 1: why wouldn't he want to marry me instead of her?
- 55:20Speaker 1: If I were an evil woman, I could end it
- 55:23Speaker 1: all between him and this woman by telling her that
- 55:27Speaker 1: I've been with him this entire time they've been together.
- 55:30Speaker 1: I have lots of damaging proof that would definitely break
- 55:33Speaker 1: them up. Even though I did not want to have children,
- 55:37Speaker 1: I can help him raise his son. What do you
- 55:39Speaker 1: think I should do? Don't I deserve to be happy too? Well, yeah,
- 55:43Speaker 1: everyone deserves to be happy, but not this way. Okay,
- 55:47Speaker 1: I just got to tell you that it looks like
- 55:49Speaker 1: you're done. I mean You're just the side piece in
- 55:52Speaker 1: this relationship. He has moved on from you to the
- 55:57Speaker 1: woman he wants to marry. And guess what that woman
- 55:59Speaker 1: is not you. He said he wanted to marry that
- 56:03Speaker 1: woman and not you. You don't want to have children.
- 56:06Speaker 1: He only has one child. How do you know he
- 56:08Speaker 1: doesn't want to have more children. You didn't mention that
- 56:10Speaker 1: in the letter? Did you you think he's one and done? Well,
- 56:13Speaker 1: they're smart, she really smart. I didn't see that. Well,
- 56:16Speaker 1: he may not. You know, he may want to have
- 56:19Speaker 1: another one, and you still don't want children. So there
- 56:23Speaker 1: is no future in this relationship with him. What you
- 56:26Speaker 1: have with him is as good as it's going to
- 56:29Speaker 1: get with again, you being the jump off. That's it.
- 56:34Speaker 1: He told you he wanted to marry this new woman.
- 56:36Speaker 1: He didn't or hasn't told you that he wanted to
- 56:38Speaker 1: marry you lately, has he? So I suggest you ask
- 56:42Speaker 1: you know, don't you deserve to be happy? What do
- 56:44Speaker 1: you think you should do? Well? You need to get
- 56:47Speaker 1: out of this situation because he wants to marry someone
- 56:50Speaker 1: else and have you on the side, which is exactly
- 56:53Speaker 1: what he's doing. Steve, Well, when we come back and
- 56:57Speaker 1: we'll break it down a little bit further. I would
- 57:00Speaker 1: really admire the point that you made, though this guy
- 57:03Speaker 1: may want to have other children. Oh yeah, she doesn't
- 57:06Speaker 1: see this. When I come back, though, I'm gonna tell
- 57:09Speaker 1: you what's really bring it. Bring it up, all right,
- 57:15Speaker 1: we'll have part two of Steve's response, uh coming, Yeah,
- 57:20Speaker 1: I'm gonna let him have it too. Now, don't don't
- 57:22Speaker 1: nobody be tight. Okay, okay, because I see you know this,
- 57:27Speaker 1: you know, thanks for having a child for my man. Yeah,
- 57:33Speaker 1: show your man exactly exactly what you don't see that?
- 57:39Speaker 1: All right? Well again, Steve, you're gonna bring it with
- 57:43Speaker 1: part two of your response coming up. Today's subject, thanks
- 57:46Speaker 1: for having a child from my man. We'll be back
- 57:49Speaker 1: right after this. You're listening, all right, Steve. Come on,
- 57:56Speaker 1: let's recap today's strawberry letter, thanks for having a child
- 57:59Speaker 1: from my man. Well, I don't have to recap it
- 58:01Speaker 1: because I didn't respond to it. But I'm just done.
- 58:05Speaker 1: This woman had a relationship with this guy. She's thirty
- 58:08Speaker 1: years old. She never wanted to have children. Five years ago.
- 58:12Speaker 1: She was in a great relationship, talking about getting married,
- 58:14Speaker 1: but he wanted kid She didn't, so y'all decided to
- 58:17Speaker 1: end the relationship, but she still loved each other. So
- 58:20Speaker 1: two years later, after y'all broke up, y'all reconnected and
- 58:23Speaker 1: started seeing each other off and on. Since then, well,
- 58:26Speaker 1: while we've been spending time together, he started relationship. See,
- 58:29Speaker 1: while we were spending time together, he started relationship with
- 58:33Speaker 1: a new woman. That's not true, sees. This is the
- 58:36Speaker 1: first big lie in the letter. She thinks that for
- 58:40Speaker 1: two years this dude was sitting somewhere sad and upset
- 58:45Speaker 1: that they had broke up and wasn't involved with nobody,
- 58:49Speaker 1: So she writes in the letter, because this is a
- 58:52Speaker 1: self serving woman, while we were spending time together, he
- 58:55Speaker 1: started a relationship with a new woman. No, he was
- 58:58Speaker 1: in a relationship with the new woman. Then y'all started
- 59:01Speaker 1: spending time together. They had a child together, and he
- 59:06Speaker 1: couldn't be happier. He told me he wants to marry
- 59:09Speaker 1: this woman so this child can have the kind of
- 59:11Speaker 1: upbringing he had with both parents. President Now she believes
- 59:15Speaker 1: that since you got son, he wanted down to be
- 59:16Speaker 1: able to get back together and getting married. He tells
- 59:18Speaker 1: me every day he loves me. Why wouldn't want to
- 59:20Speaker 1: be with me. If I were even woman, I could
- 59:22Speaker 1: end this whole thing. Blah blah blah. Even though I
- 59:24Speaker 1: do not want to have children, I can help him
- 59:26Speaker 1: raise his sons. What do you think I should do?
- 59:28Speaker 1: I deserve to be happy to you will never be
- 59:31Speaker 1: happy destroying someone else's Let's just start there. You're the
- 59:36Speaker 1: most self serving person I've heard from in a long time.
- 59:41Speaker 1: You are what's the word, it's narcissist. Yeah, it's the word.
- 59:47Speaker 1: You just like the president. It's all about you. See.
- 59:51Speaker 1: So now you didn't want to have children, but you
- 59:55Speaker 1: think since he has a child, you can help him
- 59:57Speaker 1: raise his son. You don't even want no damn keith right,
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: So what's gonna make you the great mother? All of
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: a sudden you still don't want kids, but now you
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: think you're gonna turn into the super mom over the
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: woman who had the baby? Are you kidding me? Are
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: you kidding me? You're very self servant. You didn't want children,
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: so you didn't want children, so you broke up. You
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: couldn't say, you know what, we love each other enough,
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: we should share a child. Now it's always about you.
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: I don't want to hand no kids, so we break up.
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: Two years later, y'all reconnect now here in a relationship,
- 1:00:32Speaker 1: you can believe that ain't a man sitting on the
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: sideline two years trying to get over no damn body.
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: We get over women with women. Hello again, say Steve,
- 1:00:50Speaker 1: we get over women with women sitting up in the
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: house sucking the thumb because you're gonna we'll do that
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: for a little while, but we're gonna take this thumbsucking
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: and turn it into someone. Now. He wants the family,
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: she said, he wants to marry this girl who had
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: the baby because he wants the baby to have the
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: same family he had grown up, both parents present. You
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: don't give a damn about that. You want that to
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: split up. Damn the ba again. You show exactly why
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: you don't need children, because you want to take this
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: opportunity for this child to have a family structure that
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: this womanan wants to create with this woman because you
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: want to just be here. So you want to break
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: that up so you can help raise a child that
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: you don't even want. You don't even want kids, but
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: so you could be happy. You want to break it up.
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: Now you say you could break them up because you
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: got some evidence, pictures, text, all this hell, yeah, you
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: could do that, you could break them up. But let
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: me ask you a question. You don't think that he'll
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: remember that. You don't think that when y'all sitting around
- 1:01:59Speaker 1: having a couple of arguments. You don't think that when
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: y'all sitting up trying to make these bills work. You
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: don't think when real life kicking, when the honeymoon section
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: is over. You don't think he gonna remember the fact
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: that you sent some pictures that destroyed what he really
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: wanted to have. Now he over there with you with
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: a baby that you don't want. You do not want children.
- 1:02:23Speaker 1: If you don't want your own children, I to hell,
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: you're supposed to want somebody else's. I'm just asking so
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: one more time. You are the most served, self serving woman.
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: And like Shirley said, suppose this man want to have
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: another child. You ain't it again, You're out. Then you
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: you deserve to be happy too. We'll go find you
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: a man that don't won't know kids. It's a bunch
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: of him. But go back to chapter two, verse eighteen.
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: We get over, We get over women with the women. Man.
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: We don't hey, we don't s we don't go therapy. No,
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: we don't go up in the mountains to find ourselves.
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: Now we get another one of y'all who can do
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: the same thing. Y'all do make me feel like you do,
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: and we go to getting over it just like that. Man,
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: we gotta soaking, no tub, drinking, no wine, getting no
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: good book, going to girls. Trust while we go to
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: Vegas and fixed it. They don't discount the sucking in
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: the tub and all of that. Now that's good stuff
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: right there, discounting for a man. Your man soaking the
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: tub to find himself with somebody crying in our wine
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: and all that. That's all called me. I'm soaking. He
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: just broke up with somebody with candle? Is that your
- 1:03:55Speaker 1: toes come out of baby buffers? Man, I'm trying to
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: get over something. Man, leave me a little man reading,
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: act like a lady, thing like a mag and I'm
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: gonna do something. Leave me alone. No, we're all the
- 1:04:08Speaker 1: way to Vegas. We can help you get over it.
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: Got to Steve Harvey FM, or check out The Strawberry
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: Letter on podcast on the podcast on demand. Okay, coming
- 1:04:16Speaker 1: up at forty six after the hour of Steve's Back.
- 1:04:19Speaker 1: In case you haven't noticed, you're listening to the Steve
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show. All right, ladies and gentlemen, we've been
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: talking with Steve Harvey live from Botswana, Africa all morning.
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: He's over there, like we've been saying, all morning, doing
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: big things, trying to bridge the gap between African Americans
- 1:04:35Speaker 1: and Africans over there so we can just be one
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: big family instead of them and us. But Steve, you
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: also have something else going on. Tell us about it, please, sir.
- 1:04:47Speaker 1: I love to deal because why are you always doing
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: that favor for me? I was brought into a conversation
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: with the gentleman over here, and it's just growing, man,
- 1:04:58Speaker 1: It's really really growing. I don't know if I'm at
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: liberty to say it at this point, but I'm just
- 1:05:04Speaker 1: gonna say this. What's transpired over here in Boswana right now.
- 1:05:11Speaker 1: They have some leadership over here man, that's really progressively
- 1:05:15Speaker 1: thinking about really really moving this country forward. And it's
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: a beautiful thing to see. It's not what you think
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: it is. They have five star hotels over here, they
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: have they have neighborhoods, they have gated communities. One of
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: the places they wanted me to see as a golf course.
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: To this golf course gated community and one of several
- 1:05:37Speaker 1: and the whole country is only two and a half
- 1:05:40Speaker 1: million people, the whole country. But boy is fast and
- 1:05:45Speaker 1: it's beautiful and you gotta come see it. And so
- 1:05:49Speaker 1: that leads me up to say this right here now, listen,
- 1:05:52Speaker 1: I'm gonna give you this website, y'all because I got
- 1:05:54Speaker 1: to go. But listen to this real post, Steve Harvey said,

- 1:06:12Speaker 1: We pulled out you know, we fit the bullet and
- 1:06:15Speaker 1: we started looking for a great alternative and we found
- 1:06:19Speaker 1: something that's even better. So go to Steve Harvey standardsoul

- 1:06:41Speaker 1: come and celebrate. I would not take you to nothing
- 1:06:43Speaker 1: that ain't right. It Madreie's birthday on the second day

- 1:06:55Speaker 1: be faller. I ain't gonna say this nobody. This is
- 1:07:01Speaker 1: her big birthday. My girl turned fifty five. If I
- 1:07:05Speaker 1: take her on fifty two birthday, I take her to
- 1:07:08Speaker 1: something that ain't right. You think I want to hear that?
- 1:07:11Speaker 1: Um So, I sent my daughter Morgan down there and
- 1:07:15Speaker 1: they throwed easy event and they came back and they said, Dad,
- 1:07:19Speaker 1: it's out of sight. You don't have to take my work.
- 1:07:21Speaker 1: Go and look at the video footage of distress. Morton, man,

- 1:07:37Speaker 1: We'll be back with more of the Steve Harvey Morning
- 1:07:39Speaker 1: Show right after this. You're listening String Show and trending
- 1:07:47Speaker 1: political news. There is a petition to rename Dang. I
- 1:07:51Speaker 1: said a little bit like Tommy right there. There is
- 1:07:53Speaker 1: a petition, Yeah, right, there's a petition to rename the
- 1:07:59Speaker 1: street out trunk Trump Tower to President Barack Obama Avenue.
- 1:08:03Speaker 1: All right, that sounds good. Stop right there, stop right there.
- 1:08:09Speaker 1: The online petition posted on move on dot org has
- 1:08:12Speaker 1: over three hundred and ninety nine thousand that's almost four
- 1:08:15Speaker 1: hundred thousand signatures people, and it has become a trending
- 1:08:19Speaker 1: topic on social media. The main goal is to have
- 1:08:22Speaker 1: the stretch of Fifth Avenue between fifty six and fifty
- 1:08:25Speaker 1: seventh Streets be renamed President Barack h Obama Avenue, thus
- 1:08:31Speaker 1: making Trump's Midtown Manhattan office slash home reside at seven
- 1:08:36Speaker 1: twenty five Barack h Obama Avenue. Yes, the irony at all?
- 1:08:44Speaker 1: All your mail got that only, That's what I'm talking about.
- 1:08:47Speaker 1: That would drive him crazy. Every time you walk out
- 1:08:50Speaker 1: of your door, check your man there thing Barack Obama? Donald,
- 1:08:58Speaker 1: where would you like for us to meet you at
- 1:09:00Speaker 1: seven twenty five Baroq h Obama Avenue? We can't hear
- 1:09:04Speaker 1: what you side, sir. What's the address seven twenty five
- 1:09:08Speaker 1: Baroq h Obama Abbot? No, that's the street. The time
- 1:09:14Speaker 1: on the street. It's between what and what what street names?
- 1:09:18Speaker 1: It's between fifty six and fifty seventh. It's seven five
- 1:09:24Speaker 1: Barack h is that. Wow, can we sign this petition?
- 1:09:36Speaker 1: We move on dot org. Yeah, just go to move
- 1:09:39Speaker 1: on dot org and place your name on the dotted
- 1:09:43Speaker 1: line or the straight line, whatever kind of line it is,
- 1:09:45Speaker 1: put your name on it. Okay, Yeah, I wonder how
- 1:09:48Speaker 1: many signatures do they need on the petition to get
- 1:09:52Speaker 1: it past? It will be six short, man, you don't
- 1:09:55Speaker 1: need all Yes, we're signing it two days, all right, yeah,
- 1:10:02Speaker 1: all right? So who's not signed? Another related news, President
- 1:10:07Speaker 1: Trump is sending a warning of an economic crash if
- 1:10:10Speaker 1: he loses reelection. What is th It is arguing that
- 1:10:19Speaker 1: even voters who personally dislike him should base their ballots
- 1:10:22Speaker 1: on the nation's strong growth and low unemployment rate. But privately,
- 1:10:27Speaker 1: Trump is growing increasingly worried the economy won't look so
- 1:10:31Speaker 1: good come election day. A lot of people are threatening
- 1:10:33Speaker 1: a recession, saying that a recession is imminent. Yeah. The
- 1:10:37Speaker 1: financial markets signal the possibility of a US recession. Last week,
- 1:10:42Speaker 1: there are concerns over Trump's plans to impose punishing tariffs
- 1:10:45Speaker 1: on goods from China, and word from the United Kingdom
- 1:10:48Speaker 1: in Germany that their economies are shrinking. Um, you guys,
- 1:10:53Speaker 1: hear too that the president is a little upset with
- 1:10:55Speaker 1: Fox News because they put out a poll that said
- 1:10:58Speaker 1: he's running behind his Democratic opponent. Yeah, yeah, yeah, he's upset. Yeah,
- 1:11:04Speaker 1: he says something the truth now, yeah, yeah, the truth.
- 1:11:09Speaker 1: But he said he was mad at everyone. But who's
- 1:11:11Speaker 1: Sean Hannity? Yeah, something's going on over at Fox. They're
- 1:11:17Speaker 1: doing something. Something's funny over there. Yeah. Didn't he say
- 1:11:19Speaker 1: something like we have to get to the bottom? Yeah?
- 1:11:21Speaker 1: We Yeah, when it sounded it kind of sounded like
- 1:11:27Speaker 1: he did when he said that, you know, yeah, yeah,
- 1:11:29Speaker 1: it's like, what's happening, mister president? I never lost in
- 1:11:34Speaker 1: a poll over there? Yeah? What the numbers? Is? The
- 1:11:38Speaker 1: numbers you can't predict? So is he mad at Fox News? Now?
- 1:11:45Speaker 1: The only people that that media outlet that he says
- 1:11:48Speaker 1: supports him, right, yeah, yeah, it's coming to a close, sir, Yeah, wow,
- 1:11:56Speaker 1: nobody can. I mean, we have to do what we
- 1:11:59Speaker 1: have to do. Yeah, all right, coming up, more music,
- 1:12:03Speaker 1: more fun from the Steve Harvey Morning Show. What a day? Right,
- 1:12:07Speaker 1: we'll be back at twenty minutes after the hour. Right
- 1:12:09Speaker 1: after this. You're listening to show, all right, So today
- 1:12:17Speaker 1: we're celebrating a lot of things, guys. Check this out.
- 1:12:19Speaker 1: Today's National Lemonade Day. Had some lemonade just yesterday with
- 1:12:24Speaker 1: some fresh minute. It was delicious. Today's National Bacon Lover's Day.
- 1:12:29Speaker 1: If you love your bacon, it's your day. Yeah. Shout
- 1:12:33Speaker 1: out to Mississippi Monarch. Yes, yeah, yes, she loves her
- 1:12:36Speaker 1: some bacon too. And guess what else, guys, Today's National
- 1:12:40Speaker 1: Radio Day. Come on, come on o, Happy day to
- 1:12:45Speaker 1: us everyone who is in radio who loves radio as
- 1:12:48Speaker 1: much as we do. Uh yeah, Happy National Radio Radio.
- 1:12:53Speaker 1: Yeah so so Tommy and Junior. I gotta ask you
- 1:12:55Speaker 1: guys this, What do you guys love most about radio?
- 1:12:59Speaker 1: Don't you go? Ok? Yeah? No? I love coming in
- 1:13:02Speaker 1: here and acting the food every day, That's what I
- 1:13:04Speaker 1: doesn't seem like a job like a job. And I
- 1:13:07Speaker 1: don't have to dress up. They see me. We can't media. Yes, yes,
- 1:13:16Speaker 1: what about your nephew, what do you love about radio?
- 1:13:20Speaker 1: I like the amount of people that we reach across
- 1:13:22Speaker 1: the country and tune in, and you it's amazing when
- 1:13:27Speaker 1: we go somewhere how many people really are tuned in
- 1:13:29Speaker 1: throughout this entire the United States of America and outside
- 1:13:32Speaker 1: of it. Two people are listening. Obviously your uncle is
- 1:13:35Speaker 1: in Africa. Yes, yes, yeah, because of this greatness. Yeah,
- 1:13:40Speaker 1: that's working out. Yeah, all right, more of the Steve
- 1:13:43Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show and more of Steve coming up. We're
- 1:13:46Speaker 1: going to go live to Botswana to talk to our
- 1:13:50Speaker 1: very own Steve Harvey. See what he's got going on
- 1:13:53Speaker 1: over in the Motherland. Coming up in thirty three after
- 1:13:56Speaker 1: the hour. Right after this you're listening Steve Morning Show.
- 1:14:01Speaker 1: I'm so excited. This is really exciting. Steve Harvey, our
- 1:14:05Speaker 1: fearless leader, is on the phone with us live from Botswana, Africa. WHOA,
- 1:14:11Speaker 1: that is major right there. But the reason you're on
- 1:14:15Speaker 1: this trip, Steve, you were telling us earlier, is because
- 1:14:18Speaker 1: you're meeting with the officials there to help bridge the
- 1:14:22Speaker 1: gap between Africans there and African Americans here, correct, right,
- 1:14:29Speaker 1: because you know, tourism it's big over here, the gaming
- 1:14:35Speaker 1: lodges are huge over here in Botswana, and it's just
- 1:14:40Speaker 1: it just troubles them that they don't see African Americans
- 1:14:45Speaker 1: coming to partake in them and understand more about their
- 1:14:51Speaker 1: culture and see the land that they're originally from. And
- 1:14:55Speaker 1: so that's one of the initiatives. And I was asked
- 1:14:57Speaker 1: to come over here to look at that, a look
- 1:15:01Speaker 1: at some of the other things that they're doing over
- 1:15:04Speaker 1: here with Botronta Television and with events and with Botwina
- 1:15:12Speaker 1: Radio and things like that. If anything I could lead
- 1:15:16Speaker 1: to them or advise them on, but a lot of
- 1:15:19Speaker 1: it's with the Tourism Board. A lot of them is
- 1:15:21Speaker 1: looking at their auditors and facilities. You know, they're just
- 1:15:25Speaker 1: looking for ways to really grow this country and make it, uh,
- 1:15:30Speaker 1: you know, just a known commodity. And they really just
- 1:15:33Speaker 1: want African Americans to understand more about who they are.
- 1:15:38Speaker 1: You know, it's like fifty two countries over here, two
- 1:15:41Speaker 1: fifty four countries over here. It's fifty two countries on
- 1:15:45Speaker 1: the continent. It's massive, man, to really understand what's happening here.
- 1:15:50Speaker 1: You look at America, we're talking about thirty five millions
- 1:15:54Speaker 1: African Americans in the United States, thirty five millions in Nigeria.
- 1:16:01Speaker 1: It's two one hundred millions Africa. Who I gotta know
- 1:16:07Speaker 1: us to know about ourselves? Yeah right, yeah, all right,
- 1:16:13Speaker 1: so there you go, Thank you Steve for that update. Wow,
- 1:16:17Speaker 1: big things, big things going on over there in Botswana. Okay, yeah,
- 1:16:21Speaker 1: all right, we'll come back with our last break of
- 1:16:24Speaker 1: the day and some closing remarks from the one and
- 1:16:26Speaker 1: only Steve Harvey at forty nine minutes after the hour,
- 1:16:29Speaker 1: right after this. You're listening all right here we are, guys,
- 1:16:35Speaker 1: last break of the day on this Tuesday. Steve, you
- 1:16:39Speaker 1: have some closing remarks for us. I know you do. Yeah,
- 1:16:42Speaker 1: you know. I want to remind everybody of something that
- 1:16:45Speaker 1: God created us all for greatness. All of us were
- 1:16:51Speaker 1: created in his likeness. All of us were created to
- 1:16:57Speaker 1: be an example of what God can do in people's lives.
- 1:17:01Speaker 1: We were all created for this. What happens along the
- 1:17:04Speaker 1: way is we make decisions because God gave us the
- 1:17:07Speaker 1: power of the choice. We make decisions that people ask
- 1:17:11Speaker 1: people that counteract what God really intended for us. And
- 1:17:16Speaker 1: one of the reasons we counteract what God intended for
- 1:17:19Speaker 1: us is because the devil's main job the opposition is
- 1:17:22Speaker 1: to not allow you to reach your potential. See, the
- 1:17:26Speaker 1: devil don't ever want you to reach your potential, because
- 1:17:28Speaker 1: then he'll have another child of God out there spreading
- 1:17:31Speaker 1: the word and showing off and being an example of
- 1:17:34Speaker 1: what light can do and what love can do, and
- 1:17:37Speaker 1: what the power of prayer can do. So his job
- 1:17:40Speaker 1: is to make each and every one of us fall
- 1:17:42Speaker 1: by the wayside. That's his constant mission in life. To
- 1:17:45Speaker 1: make us think we're not worthy, to make us think
- 1:17:48Speaker 1: we can't, to make us think it ain't possible, to
- 1:17:51Speaker 1: make us look at our environment, to make us feel like, well,
- 1:17:55Speaker 1: it's because ourn I can't be that. Ain't none of
- 1:17:58Speaker 1: that truth, None of that is true. I bought a
- 1:18:02Speaker 1: book the other day by Joel Olstein because I was
- 1:18:07Speaker 1: listening to him over the weekend and he sent this.
- 1:18:10Speaker 1: He was talking about his new book called Next Level Thinking,
- 1:18:14Speaker 1: and I bought the book. And because I constantly try
- 1:18:19Speaker 1: to reinforce myself. As successful as you may think I am,
- 1:18:23Speaker 1: I still have a ways to go, and I will
- 1:18:27Speaker 1: always try to improve myself. And people like Joel Olstein,
- 1:18:31Speaker 1: Bishop Jakes, Bishop Almer, Bishop Getty's down there in North Carolina.
- 1:18:35Speaker 1: My boy, you know it's a lot Charles Jenkins up
- 1:18:38Speaker 1: in Chicago. There's a lot of dudes. Man that called
- 1:18:41Speaker 1: me to make sure I'm okay. Check in on me, Tyler,
- 1:18:46Speaker 1: check in on me, Doctor Phil, check in on me.
- 1:18:49Speaker 1: I got a lot a lot of people check in
- 1:18:51Speaker 1: on me. Man, make sure, I'm okay. I was reading
- 1:18:55Speaker 1: his book because it's just I just needed some more
- 1:19:01Speaker 1: information and one of the things I had learned from
- 1:19:06Speaker 1: his book. But in the first chapter, the title of
- 1:19:10Speaker 1: his chapters be a barrier Breaker, Be a barrier breaker,
- 1:19:14Speaker 1: And throughout the book it just talks about your surroundings,
- 1:19:17Speaker 1: your environment. That because you're from a family who ain't
- 1:19:20Speaker 1: nobody never made it out, don't mean that you have
- 1:19:23Speaker 1: to not be one of that you have to be
- 1:19:25Speaker 1: one of those and not make it out. Because you
- 1:19:27Speaker 1: come from a hood that don't have a whole lot
- 1:19:29Speaker 1: of millionaires made from that hood, that don't mean that
- 1:19:32Speaker 1: you can't be a barrier breaker and be one of
- 1:19:34Speaker 1: the millionaires from the hood. Just because nobody on your
- 1:19:37Speaker 1: block ever went to college, don't mean you can't be
- 1:19:39Speaker 1: the first one. Maybe nobody in your family ever went
- 1:19:42Speaker 1: to school, you're the first one. Maybe nobody in your
- 1:19:44Speaker 1: family ever became a supervisor at a post office or
- 1:19:47Speaker 1: the FedEx or UPS or any place else. Don't mean
- 1:19:52Speaker 1: that you can't you can become a barrier breaker. But
- 1:19:57Speaker 1: see what a lot of us do. We get so
- 1:20:01Speaker 1: immersed in our environment that we adapt to our environment,
- 1:20:06Speaker 1: and we must we act like this? Is it whether
- 1:20:08Speaker 1: if God had wanted me to be rich, I'd have
- 1:20:11Speaker 1: been born rich? What what did you say? I heard
- 1:20:15Speaker 1: of guys say that if God had wanted me to
- 1:20:17Speaker 1: be rich, I would have been born rich. So let
- 1:20:21Speaker 1: me ask you something, brother, all these people that have
- 1:20:24Speaker 1: gone from poverty to riches, what was their excuse or
- 1:20:29Speaker 1: what mindset did they use to become a barrier breaker,
- 1:20:34Speaker 1: to break the barrier poverty to become well off? I
- 1:20:39Speaker 1: chose to be a barrier breaker. I knew what my
- 1:20:42Speaker 1: family was. I loved my family dearly and still do.
- 1:20:46Speaker 1: But what my family had I didn't want. As much
- 1:20:51Speaker 1: as I loved my mother and father, what my father
- 1:20:54Speaker 1: was and how hard I saw him work, I didn't
- 1:20:57Speaker 1: want that. I wanted something else. Now. Do I appreciate
- 1:21:01Speaker 1: the work as to keep put in me? Most certainly
- 1:21:03Speaker 1: do that. I appreciate the faith in the fear of
- 1:21:06Speaker 1: God that my Mamma put in me. Oh, I most
- 1:21:08Speaker 1: certainly do. But I didn't want to be any one
- 1:21:12Speaker 1: sitting at the church on the usher board. I didn't
- 1:21:14Speaker 1: want that. I didn't want to work as hard as
- 1:21:18Speaker 1: my father and make the same money as my father.
- 1:21:20Speaker 1: I wanted to something else. I wanted to be a
- 1:21:22Speaker 1: barrier breaker. A barrier breaker. And one of the things
- 1:21:26Speaker 1: he talked about in the book is that so often
- 1:21:31Speaker 1: we led our environment and how we were raised, and
- 1:21:34Speaker 1: other people's expectation of us set limits in our life.
- 1:21:40Speaker 1: He was saying that we adapt to what's around us.
- 1:21:43Speaker 1: So what he said in the book I wanted to
- 1:21:46Speaker 1: share with you all. In the book, he said that
- 1:21:50Speaker 1: if you take an oak tree seed, the seed of
- 1:21:54Speaker 1: an oak tree, and you planned this seed from this
- 1:21:58Speaker 1: oak tree in a two foot pot, that oak tree
- 1:22:03Speaker 1: will never become what it was created to be if
- 1:22:07Speaker 1: you leave it in that pot, not because there's something
- 1:22:11Speaker 1: wrong with the seed, but because of the environment is in.
- 1:22:16Speaker 1: Did you hear what I just said. There is nothing
- 1:22:20Speaker 1: wrong with you, The problem is your environment. If you
- 1:22:25Speaker 1: stay in the environment, you will never grown. But you
- 1:22:28Speaker 1: can choose to become a barrier breaker and get out
- 1:22:31Speaker 1: of any environment that you're in. You can escape poverty,
- 1:22:35Speaker 1: you can escape the hood, you can escape bad thinking people,
- 1:22:39Speaker 1: you can escape the dope game. You can become non
- 1:22:42Speaker 1: addicted to drugs. You can stop being an alcoholic. You
- 1:22:46Speaker 1: can stop with God's help, if you take an oak
- 1:22:49Speaker 1: tree seed and you plant it in a two foot pot.
- 1:22:51Speaker 1: That tree will never become what it was created to
- 1:22:54Speaker 1: be if you leave it in the pot, not cause
- 1:22:56Speaker 1: there's something wrong with the seed, but because the environment
- 1:22:59Speaker 1: is in. You got to change your environment. You fine,
- 1:23:01Speaker 1: you got to see you got everything you need to grow.
