- 2:02Speaker 1: Nina Janko. Wit take a listen. The accusation is that
- 2:06Speaker 1: Hunter Biden in serving on the board of a Ukrainian company,
- 2:10Speaker 1: which you know he is allowed to do. He was
- 2:12Speaker 1: not the only foreign experts serving on the board of
- 2:14Speaker 1: Ukrainian company. By the way, I love how she just
- 2:17Speaker 1: referred to him as a foreign expert. Did you hear
- 2:19Speaker 1: that Hunter Biden out of nowhere has become a foreign expert. Well,
- 2:24Speaker 1: let's just let's just rewind that real quick. This is
- 2:27Speaker 1: the woman. And by the way, he's an expert on
- 2:29Speaker 1: anything but coke, okay, cocaine, drugs, hookers, you could say,
- 2:33Speaker 1: as an expert on that, going on benders, expert on that, right,
- 2:38Speaker 1: Russian hookers, expert on that. But she just made up
- 2:42Speaker 1: something that's a lie. This is the Ministry of Truth
- 2:45Speaker 1: telling you that Hunter Biden is a foreign expert on
- 2:51Speaker 1: oil and gas, which he's never had anything to do with. Listen,
- 2:54Speaker 1: it was not the only foreign experts serving on the
- 2:56Speaker 1: board of Ukrainian company was involved in some corrupt behavior
- 3:00Speaker 1: of that company. This company has been investigated for a
- 3:03Speaker 1: long time. Burisma is the name of the company. There's
- 3:06Speaker 1: never been any indication that Hunter Biden was involved in
- 3:10Speaker 1: anything untoward. There are questions about whether he should have
- 3:13Speaker 1: taken that board appointment given his father's role, as you know,
- 3:18Speaker 1: the Obama administration's main emissary to Ukraine. But that's not
- 3:22Speaker 1: necessarily something that Joe Biden has control over. It certainly
- 3:25Speaker 1: has nothing to do with Joe Biden's policies towards Ukraine.
- 3:31Speaker 1: And this has spun into a whole other host of nonsense,
- 3:36Speaker 1: basically that Joe Biden withheld aid to Ukraine in order
- 3:40Speaker 1: to get a resolution to this investigation into Burisma and
- 3:45Speaker 1: get his son out of the line light. It's just
- 3:48Speaker 1: it's a load of nonsense. The investigation that is in
- 3:51Speaker 1: question was closed at the time that Biden was kind
- 3:54Speaker 1: of doing a carrot and stick routine which many diplomats
- 3:57Speaker 1: do related to Ukraine in order to get some some
- 4:01Speaker 1: financial reforms through and anti corruption reforms. And there's a
- 4:06Speaker 1: whole host of other allegations that just don't even bear repeating,
- 4:10Speaker 1: but they basically come, don't even bear repeating, don't even
- 4:15Speaker 1: bear repeating. This is your now, woman who's running the government? Disinformation? Right,
- 4:23Speaker 1: government disinformation, This is now what's happening. Don't even bear
- 4:28Speaker 1: repeating it, right, this is hey, you don't need to
- 4:32Speaker 1: you don't need to repeat any of this. Right, everything's fine,
- 4:37Speaker 1: nothing's wrong with Hunter Biden. Everybody knows that nothing's wrong
- 4:40Speaker 1: with Hunter Biden. He's a foreign expert, just like everybody
- 4:47Speaker 1: else serving on a company as a foreign expert on
- 4:51Speaker 1: what we don't know. But everything you've heard about this
- 4:54Speaker 1: is wrong. Everything you know about this is wrong. Right,
- 4:58Speaker 1: it's all wrong, folks, every body, it's wrong. Understand it's wrong.
- 5:04Speaker 1: It's all I And this is the woman that's going
- 5:08Speaker 1: to decide what is real and what is not, what
- 5:10Speaker 1: is truthful and what is not. So move on, everybody.
- 5:15Speaker 1: Nina Jankowitch, the Bide Ministry of Truth, assuring you that
- 5:17Speaker 1: there was nothing improper about Hunter Biden's roll in barisma
- 5:21Speaker 1: through these vectors of untrustworthy information in Ukrainian society, to Joe,
- 5:28Speaker 1: to Rudy Giuliani, excuse me, and then make their way
- 5:32Speaker 1: to the President's ears. So there it is. She said
- 5:35Speaker 1: it's not real, So therefore it's not real because she's
- 5:38Speaker 1: Nina Jankowitch. New Ginger just come out saying, not only
- 5:41Speaker 1: is Joe Biden a liar when it comes to his
- 5:44Speaker 1: son's business dealings, but he also wrote an eight hundred
- 5:48Speaker 1: thousand dollars check for Hunters businesses. So the idea that
- 5:52Speaker 1: he never spoke about the business dealings with Hunter Biden,
- 5:55Speaker 1: we know is absurd because no father writes an eight
- 5:58Speaker 1: hundred thousand our check for anyone without asking some questions.
- 6:05Speaker 1: And we all know that. I want you to take
- 6:09Speaker 1: a listen to what he had to say while he
- 6:13Speaker 1: was talking with Maria bart to Roma about Joe Biden
- 6:16Speaker 1: not only being a liar, but the fact that we
- 6:18Speaker 1: clearly need a deep investigation into the Biden crime family
- 6:23Speaker 1: that he describes as nothing more than like the mafia,
- 6:26Speaker 1: also have corruption in plain sight. And I want to
- 6:29Speaker 1: get your take on that. And and and you mentioned
- 6:32Speaker 1: the University of Pennsylvania secret Chinese money. You think that's
- 6:37Speaker 1: it an even bigger story than the corruption of what's
- 6:41Speaker 1: on Hunter's laptop, right, walk us through what you mean well,
- 6:44Speaker 1: and by the way, let me explain this to you
- 6:46Speaker 1: so you understand a little bit deeper. And I'll remind
- 6:48Speaker 1: you we did a deep dive in our podcast into this.
- 6:51Speaker 1: The University of Pennsylvania had been taking insane amounts of
- 6:54Speaker 1: money from Chinese donors, many of them anonymous Chinese donors,
- 6:58Speaker 1: some of them giving fifty four teen and a half
- 7:00Speaker 1: fifteen million dollars, if my memory serves me correctly. Why
- 7:04Speaker 1: Because Biden was involved at the University of Pennsylvania and
- 7:08Speaker 1: the University of Pennsylvania was taking this money from the
- 7:12Speaker 1: Chinese government and these Chinese sources, and we're talking about
- 7:16Speaker 1: insane amount of dollars. Now, the question is where were
- 7:21Speaker 1: the kickbacks coming from. Now, penn had the Biden Center
- 7:25Speaker 1: for Public Policy, and the money was flowing in. And
- 7:28Speaker 1: if you wanted to do business with Joe Biden, if
- 7:30Speaker 1: you wanted to do things with Joe Biden in general,
- 7:33Speaker 1: what we have learned very clearly is you had to
- 7:37Speaker 1: give cash to the Bidens, whether that was through the
- 7:41Speaker 1: University of Pennsylvania which was easiest to they to funnel money.
- 7:43Speaker 1: In my questions, how much money did he make, how
- 7:47Speaker 1: much cash did he make? How much money was there
- 7:50Speaker 1: in all of this, right, like how much cash was
- 7:56Speaker 1: going from the University of Pennsylvania after it funneled to
- 7:59Speaker 1: them from China from communist Chinese people quote anonymous donors
- 8:04Speaker 1: to the Biden crime family, And that's exactly where I
- 8:07Speaker 1: want to pick it up with New Gingrich because that's
- 8:09Speaker 1: what he's about to explain saying, you want to talk
- 8:11Speaker 1: about corruption, look at the University of penn Look at
- 8:14Speaker 1: the money going into the pen Biden Center for Public Policy.
- 8:19Speaker 1: Look at how much cash is being funneled from the
- 8:21Speaker 1: communist Chinese government indirectly through the university then going to
- 8:28Speaker 1: the family. Well, well, the University of Pennsylvania that we
- 8:33Speaker 1: know of, has gotten at least sixty seven million dollars
- 8:38Speaker 1: from Chinese sources, anonymous sources. The University of Pennsylvania refused
- 8:43Speaker 1: to turn over information to the Justice Department in the
- 8:46Speaker 1: last year the Trump presidency. One of the major jobs
- 8:49Speaker 1: of Congress should be to subpoena the University of Pennsylvania's records.
- 8:53Speaker 1: They created the Penn Biden Center for Public Policy. I
- 8:58Speaker 1: don't know how many administrations staff were being paid from
- 9:01Speaker 1: that center, but they were being paid with Chinese money.
- 9:05Speaker 1: And you have anonymous Chinese donors, the largest of which
- 9:08Speaker 1: was fourteen and a half million dollars. So you take
- 9:11Speaker 1: everything that Hunter Biden ever did, and then you look
- 9:14Speaker 1: at what Joe Biden was doing. The story here is
- 9:17Speaker 1: not Hunter Biden. The story here is the head of
- 9:19Speaker 1: the family. Just like a mafia family. The head of
- 9:22Speaker 1: the family who. By the way, if you go back
- 9:24Speaker 1: and pull up what he said in various campaign events,
- 9:27Speaker 1: I knew nothing. I never discussed my son's business. Well,
- 9:31Speaker 1: we now know he wrote an eight hundred thousand dollars
- 9:33Speaker 1: check for his son's legal expenses in business. Is eight
- 9:37Speaker 1: hundred thousand dollars check? Okay, we now know that Joe
- 9:43Speaker 1: Biden wrote an eight hundred thousand dollars check for a
- 9:45Speaker 1: son's legal expenses in business. How can you say that
- 9:51Speaker 1: you know nothing about someone's legal expenses, or his business,
- 9:59Speaker 1: or his business life, or his business expenses when clearly
- 10:03Speaker 1: you do. You don't just write a random check for
- 10:07Speaker 1: eight hundred thousand dollars without asking a question. There's no way.
- 10:13Speaker 1: It's impossible. No one writes an eight hundred thousand dollars
- 10:17Speaker 1: random check without asking any questions. That doesn't happen, and
- 10:23Speaker 1: we all know it. Now. Listen to this closing argument
- 10:28Speaker 1: for New Gingrich as he was talking about not only
- 10:32Speaker 1: this eight hundred thousand dollars check for Biden's businesses, but
- 10:36Speaker 1: this idea that Joe Biden didn't know anything about it.
- 10:39Speaker 1: This wasn't criminal, This was writing to be including Chinese businesses.
- 10:43Speaker 1: He wants us to believe he wrote an eight hundred
- 10:45Speaker 1: thousand dollars check and didn't discuss his son's business. He
- 10:49Speaker 1: wants us to believe they flew for seventeen hours to
- 10:51Speaker 1: China and they didn't discuss his son's business. The truth is,
- 10:55Speaker 1: Joe Biden is a liar. This is a corrupt family
- 10:58Speaker 1: occupying the White House, and we need to get to
- 11:01Speaker 1: the bottom of it. And I believe the University of
- 11:03Speaker 1: Pennsylvania's sixty seven million dollars from China is a lot
- 11:08Speaker 1: bigger scandal than Hunter Biden's laptop, as big a hand
- 11:11Speaker 1: as scandal, frankly as the laptop is, where did the
- 11:15Speaker 1: money come from? Who is running the checks, and where
- 11:17Speaker 1: did the money go after it was written to the
- 11:19Speaker 1: University of Pennsylvania. That's question one that everybody in the
- 11:23Speaker 1: media should be asking. They're not how is it that?
- 11:27Speaker 1: And again, the Republicans need to get their heads out
- 11:29Speaker 1: of their rear ind and they need to subpoena these
- 11:31Speaker 1: documents from the University of Pennsylvania. They need to actually
- 11:35Speaker 1: start fighting back and not just sitting there like a
- 11:38Speaker 1: bunch of lazy eightables's in Congress, which is what the
- 11:41Speaker 1: majority of them are actually doing right now. But you
- 11:45Speaker 1: put these two stories together, and you put the Durham
- 11:48Speaker 1: winning this major legal battle to unveil Hillary Clinton's fusion
- 11:51Speaker 1: GPS documents previously kept secret under the cause of attorney
- 11:56Speaker 1: client privilege. That's now gone. You look what we now
- 12:00Speaker 1: know about Joe Biden and the eight hundred thousand dollar check.
- 12:05Speaker 1: It is significant. You cannot say that it's not. The
- 12:11Speaker 1: media clearly doesn't want you to know the truth about
- 12:14Speaker 1: Hunter Biden. The media doesn't want you to know what
- 12:19Speaker 1: has happened with Hunter Biden. I was hosting last week Outnumbered,
- 12:24Speaker 1: and one of the guest hosts on that show is
- 12:26Speaker 1: Tommy Lauren, and she had this to say. She was
- 12:29Speaker 1: spot on about the media continuing to look the other
- 12:32Speaker 1: way about the Hunter Biden scandal. This is important for
- 12:34Speaker 1: all Americans and the fact that those in mainstream media,
- 12:37Speaker 1: or at least it seems that the folks in mainstream
- 12:40Speaker 1: media are not curious. I don't think it's a lack
- 12:42Speaker 1: of curiosity. I think they don't want to know the
- 12:43Speaker 1: truth because then they would have to admit that they
- 12:46Speaker 1: originally never wanted to talk about the laptop in the
- 12:48Speaker 1: first place, and then they had to talk about it. Yeah,
- 12:51Speaker 1: the disinformation. I'm so glad we have that governance board. Now,
- 12:54Speaker 1: maybe they should look into this, Maybe they should look
- 12:56Speaker 1: into the big guy. But there's also to the point
- 12:58Speaker 1: of he's paying the legal fees. You're paying your son's
- 13:01Speaker 1: legal fees, but you don't know what the legal fees
- 13:03Speaker 1: are for. There's missing millions of dollars that unaccounted for
- 13:07Speaker 1: in terms of Biden's finances. There's these emails that again
- 13:10Speaker 1: are talking about the big Guy talking about certain kickbacks.
- 13:13Speaker 1: And I want to know whether it was Joe or Hunter,
- 13:16Speaker 1: because even if it's just Hunter, it's still bad. What
- 13:18Speaker 1: did he have to give to get all these positions
- 13:22Speaker 1: on all these boards? It certainly wasn't his talent and skill.
- 13:25Speaker 1: He has no marketable talents and skills. So what did
- 13:27Speaker 1: he have to give up? And to the detriment of us,
- 13:31Speaker 1: because we need to know that if vulnerable, like we
- 13:35Speaker 1: know that even Joe, I love that he was vulnerable
- 13:37Speaker 1: because he was a drug addict and his father exploited
- 13:40Speaker 1: his addiction. Is what Aris Faulkner is saying there. It's
- 13:42Speaker 1: what I've been saying for months now. There's two other
- 13:45Speaker 1: big headlines also dealing with Hunter Biden that also again
- 13:49Speaker 1: the media is not covering. Hunter Biden is now enlisted
- 13:53Speaker 1: a Hollywood mega lawyer for not just counsel, but also funding.
- 13:58Speaker 1: Sources are now saying Hunter Biden has garnered quiet support
- 14:02Speaker 1: in financial backing from a high powered Hollywood attorney while
- 14:06Speaker 1: awaiting the outcome of a long running federal investigation into
- 14:10Speaker 1: his taxes and finances being conducted by the US Attorney
- 14:13Speaker 1: in Delaware. Multiple sources have now confirmed to CBS News
- 14:18Speaker 1: Kevin Morris, the attorney known for crafting the five hundred
- 14:23Speaker 1: and fifty million dollars licensing deal for the creators of
- 14:28Speaker 1: South Park and who later won a Tony Award as
- 14:31Speaker 1: a co producer of the hit musical Book of Mormon,
- 14:34Speaker 1: is now crafting a legal and media strategy for Hunter Biden.
- 14:40Speaker 1: His office confirmed yes, this is happening when they were
- 14:43Speaker 1: reached for comment. President Biden's son is maintaining a robust
- 14:49Speaker 1: New York based legal team handling his defense and the
- 14:53Speaker 1: ongoing criminal probe and Delaware that has been focused on
- 14:57Speaker 1: his taxes. Yes, his axes now. CBS News this weekend
- 15:03Speaker 1: with its exclusive finally came out and had this to
- 15:07Speaker 1: say about Hunter Biden. Now again, this is on the
- 15:10Speaker 1: CBS News investigating Hunter Biden have subpoena documents from a
- 15:15Speaker 1: twenty nineteen paternity lawsuit. Those documents include tax records from
- 15:19Speaker 1: the President's son dating back to twenty seventeen. Investigators obtained
- 15:24Speaker 1: records from the lawyer who represented the woman who filed
- 15:27Speaker 1: the twenty nineteen lawsuit claiming Hunter Biden was the father
- 15:30Speaker 1: of her child. That lawyer told CBS News prosecutors quote
- 15:34Speaker 1: wanted every record relating to Hunter Biden. We had CBS
- 15:38Speaker 1: News Senior investigative correspondent Catherine Herridge joins us now for
- 15:42Speaker 1: more on this. Hi, Katherine, great to see you. So
- 15:45Speaker 1: what exactly our prosecutors looking for in these documents that
- 15:50Speaker 1: you know, as we said, are from many years ago, Tanya,
- 15:54Speaker 1: our CBS News investigative team was able to obtain this
- 15:58Speaker 1: subpoena that was sent by the US Attorney's Office in
- 16:01Speaker 1: Delaware in December of twenty twenty to a law firm
- 16:05Speaker 1: in Arkansas that represented London Roberts, the woman who brought
- 16:09Speaker 1: and settled paternity suit with Hunter Biden. This is a
- 16:13Speaker 1: very broad subpoena seeking financial records, and it falls into
- 16:17Speaker 1: two distinct buckets. The first has to do with the
- 16:20Speaker 1: flow of money in and out of his accounts. It
- 16:23Speaker 1: asked for all documents, emails, instant messages related to income, expenses, debts,
- 16:29Speaker 1: financial transactions both personal and business. And the second buncket,
- 16:34Speaker 1: is really very focused on his tax situation. It calls
- 16:38Speaker 1: for federal, state, local, income and payroll taxes. Now, you've
- 16:42Speaker 1: got to ask yourself a question real quick, why is
- 16:44Speaker 1: CBS News actually doing the report that I'm playing for
- 16:46Speaker 1: you now? Because I think they realize they have no
- 16:48Speaker 1: other choice. And it may be that Hunter Biden, listening
- 16:52Speaker 1: this Hollywood mega lawyer for counsel and funding, has said, look,
- 16:55Speaker 1: let's go ahead and get the story out there, because
- 16:57Speaker 1: there's no reason not too at this point. Then let's
- 17:00Speaker 1: just try to separate that story from your father. That
- 17:03Speaker 1: may be their strategy, their best option right now, because
- 17:05Speaker 1: if I was their media strategy team member right now,
- 17:08Speaker 1: that's what I would be telling them to do. And
- 17:10Speaker 1: if you notice, this report really doesn't have a lot
- 17:13Speaker 1: to do with Joe Biden, It's all about Hunter Biden
- 17:15Speaker 1: trying to imply that Hunter Biden's out on a raft
- 17:18Speaker 1: by himself that his father knew nothing about any of this.
- 17:21Speaker 1: Continue to listen to these documents, so they talk about
- 17:24Speaker 1: the scope of this new subpoena. Former US attorney told
- 17:28Speaker 1: us that this kind of subpoena really indicates to him
- 17:31Speaker 1: that the US attorney in Delaware is leaving no stone
- 17:34Speaker 1: unturned in his investigation. Catherine, why are these documents so important? Well, well,
- 17:39Speaker 1: these documents are important because it's part of a data
- 17:43Speaker 1: chain that leads to the grandjury testimony of London Roberts,
- 17:48Speaker 1: the woman who brought and settled that paternity suit with
- 17:51Speaker 1: Hunter Biden. So we begin with December of twenty twenty
- 17:54Speaker 1: this very broad subpoena for financial records that goes to
- 17:58Speaker 1: the law firm in Arkansas, and then, according to her lawyer,
- 18:02Speaker 1: Clint Lancaster, there was an in person meeting in the
- 18:06Speaker 1: fall of twenty twenty one with a representative of the
- 18:09Speaker 1: US Attorney's office in Delaware as well as an FBI
- 18:13Speaker 1: agent and an IRS enforcement agent along with his client.
- 18:17Speaker 1: And then earlier this year in February, London Roberts goes
- 18:21Speaker 1: to the grand jury in Delaware and testifies and what
- 18:25Speaker 1: we understand through our reporting is that it says that
- 18:28Speaker 1: there is something in those records that she has first
- 18:32Speaker 1: hand information about that the US attorney in Delaware wanted
- 18:36Speaker 1: to lock in as testimony before that grand jury. So
- 18:40Speaker 1: it's the data chain that really matters here. So, Katherine,
- 18:43Speaker 1: could any of this information in any way implicate President Biden?
- 18:48Speaker 1: I don't want to Well, I love this right very
- 18:50Speaker 1: end of the interview. Is there anything in here that
- 18:52Speaker 1: could implicate President Joe Biden? Katherine herritage listen to which
- 18:58Speaker 1: I don't want to speculate on that. We're just trying
- 19:00Speaker 1: to make this about a hunter speculate on the standing
- 19:03Speaker 1: of this investigation. But I just want to lay out
- 19:06Speaker 1: with the White House position is and what we know
- 19:08Speaker 1: through our own reporting here at CBS. Hold on, So
- 19:10Speaker 1: you didn't answer the question did you know? Of course not.
- 19:13Speaker 1: Why would I answer that question. I don't want to
- 19:15Speaker 1: speculate on that. Are you kidding me? I'm not gonna
- 19:19Speaker 1: speculate on that. What do you think? I don't want
- 19:23Speaker 1: you to think for a moment that I'm going to
- 19:25Speaker 1: talk about present of the United States of America when
- 19:28Speaker 1: his son's clearly involved in all this I am no
- 19:31Speaker 1: ho no, no, no, no, no, we are not. We
- 19:34Speaker 1: are not going to talk about that. You need to
- 19:37Speaker 1: be quiet. I'm just gonna tell you what their perspective
- 19:40Speaker 1: is and we're gonna move on. Translation. Dude, he's a
- 19:44Speaker 1: drug addict. Okay, that made some stupid deals and this
- 19:47Speaker 1: has nothing to do in any capacity, right, this has
- 19:52Speaker 1: nothing to do with Joe Biden. Everybody be quiet, the
- 19:56Speaker 1: presents uninvolved. We're just gonna, we're gonna, we're gonna totally
- 20:00Speaker 1: separate the two. That's all this is. That's that's it.
- 20:05Speaker 1: That's just it's it's it's it's as simple as that
- 20:08Speaker 1: they think you're this done. They think that you are
- 20:10Speaker 1: this stupid, that you're gonna that you're gonna fall for this,
- 20:15Speaker 1: that you're gonna look at this and you're gonna think, oh,
- 20:17Speaker 1: it's It's totally normal for a Hollywood lawyer who represents
- 20:21Speaker 1: Southpark creator and Chris Rock paying off two million dollars
- 20:23Speaker 1: of Hunter Biden's overdue taxes acting as his sugar daddy
- 20:27Speaker 1: or sugar brother. Right, Hunter Biden had his tax bill
- 20:32Speaker 1: of more than two million dollars actually paid for by
- 20:34Speaker 1: a Hollywood lawyer. Wonder why what's he trying to hide? Hunter,
- 20:39Speaker 1: Biden's attorney said Morris is quite a trust advisor of
- 20:41Speaker 1: the present's son. Morris also co produced the Book of
- 20:44Speaker 1: Mormon and is a published author. And all of a sudden,
- 20:47Speaker 1: you just decide to go in and pay two million
- 20:49Speaker 1: dollars of your overdue taxes out of nowhere, and we're
- 20:53Speaker 1: not supposed to ask any questions about this and just
- 20:55Speaker 1: accept it like this is completely and totally normal. And
- 21:00Speaker 1: then you go back to Katherine Heritage again, She's like, well,
- 21:03Speaker 1: let me just tell you the White House's perspective here.
- 21:05Speaker 1: That's what you really that's what you really need to
- 21:08Speaker 1: be worried about, Like this is the this is the
- 21:10Speaker 1: white House. Okay, this the white House's perspective. I wouldn't
- 21:14Speaker 1: say that there's any real connection here between any of
- 21:17Speaker 1: this and the president. Information in any way implicate President Biden.
- 21:22Speaker 1: I don't want to speculate on the standing of this investigation,
- 21:26Speaker 1: but I just want to lay out what the White
- 21:27Speaker 1: House position is and what we know through our own
- 21:30Speaker 1: reporting here at CBS News. Recently, the White House Chief
- 21:33Speaker 1: of Staff was asked about this issue, and he said
- 21:36Speaker 1: that the President felt that his family had done the
- 21:39Speaker 1: right thing, but then also added that these were the
- 21:42Speaker 1: actions of Hunter Biden and James Biden, the President's brother,
- 21:46Speaker 1: and that these were private matters and that President Biden
- 21:50Speaker 1: was not involved. What we know through our reporting here
- 21:52Speaker 1: at CBS News is that there was another subpoena that
- 21:56Speaker 1: was sent out to one of the major banks here
- 21:58Speaker 1: in the United States, and it was seeking not only
- 22:01Speaker 1: Hunter Biden's records his former business partners, but also the
- 22:05Speaker 1: records of the President's brother, James Biden. And these records
- 22:09Speaker 1: went back to twenty fourteen. And the reason that timing
- 22:12Speaker 1: matters is that it spans a period when Joe Biden
- 22:16Speaker 1: was the vice president. Whoa, oh, let's bury that at
- 22:19Speaker 1: the end. So you got Joe Biden's brother and his
- 22:23Speaker 1: tax records being subpoenaed or his bank records being subpoena
- 22:26Speaker 1: going back to when his brother was the vice president
- 22:29Speaker 1: right twenty fourteen. But we're not going to speculate if
- 22:33Speaker 1: any of this involves the President of the United States
- 22:35Speaker 1: of America. Why would we do that. His dad just
- 22:37Speaker 1: paid an eight hundred thousand dollar legal bill for his
- 22:39Speaker 1: son's businesses, right, not for a lawsuit, but for his businesses.
- 22:42Speaker 1: We know that you think you just randomly write checks
- 22:44Speaker 1: to your son for eight hundred thousand dollars. Come on, man,
- 22:47Speaker 1: to quote Joe Biden, Come on, man, you ask. Special
- 22:51Speaker 1: counsel John Durham won a legal victory want a judge
- 22:55Speaker 1: presiding over his case against cybersecurity lawyer Michael Sessman ruled
- 23:01Speaker 1: that some Hillary Clinton fusion GPS documents that have been
- 23:06Speaker 1: previously kept secret under the alibi of attorney client privilege
- 23:12Speaker 1: can now be revealed in court. The documents, Durham argued,
- 23:17Speaker 1: are quote critical and crucial in building his case against Sussman,
- 23:23Speaker 1: a former Perkins Coy partner, accused of lying to the
- 23:26Speaker 1: FBI when presenting alleged evidence connecting then presidential candidate Donald
- 23:32Speaker 1: Trump and his campaign to the Kremlin connected Alpha Bank
- 23:36Speaker 1: in Russia. We know that all of that is a lie.
- 23:40Speaker 1: Everybody in the media has said it's a lie. It's
- 23:43Speaker 1: the same information that we get you kicked off social
- 23:45Speaker 1: media if you shared it just months ago. Now. At
- 23:49Speaker 1: the time Susman presented the evidence to FBI lawyer James Baker,
- 23:55Speaker 1: he claimed that he was acting as a private citizen
- 23:59Speaker 1: and not on half of any client. We know that's
- 24:02Speaker 1: a lie. We know he was acting on behalf of
- 24:04Speaker 1: the Hillary Clinton campaign and the Democratic National Committee. Billing
- 24:08Speaker 1: records later proved that Setzman had charged the time when
- 24:14Speaker 1: he was meeting with the FBI lawyer James Baker, claiming
- 24:17Speaker 1: that he was not acting as a private citizen to
- 24:20Speaker 1: the Clinton campaign. That's right, while he was meeting with
- 24:24Speaker 1: the FBI, he was billing Hillary Clinton. Durham is seeking
- 24:28Speaker 1: to prove that Sessman was indeed secretly acting on behalf
- 24:33Speaker 1: of the Democratic Party in general the DNC, because they
- 24:36Speaker 1: were helping pay for this and Hillary Clinton her campaign
- 24:41Speaker 1: when he fabricated allegations against the Trump campaign, allegend collusion
- 24:48Speaker 1: with Russia. Now in court, Durham argued that the CIA,
- 24:54Speaker 1: in fact had determined that sessmans purported evidence against donal
- 25:00Speaker 1: Old J. Trump was not quote unquote technically plausible and
- 25:07Speaker 1: did not quote unquote withstand technical scrutiny, and also appeared
- 25:14Speaker 1: to be and I'm quoting the FBI or excuse me,
- 25:16Speaker 1: the CIA here appeared to be quote user created and
- 25:20Speaker 1: not machine slash tool generated. So, in other words, Sessman
- 25:28Speaker 1: came in, he made up a lie. The Clinton campaign
- 25:32Speaker 1: paid him to fabricate the lie. The Clinton campaign made
- 25:35Speaker 1: sure that the lie was well orchestrated, that it was
- 25:41Speaker 1: a political lie that would pay huge political dividends for
- 25:46Speaker 1: Hillary Clinton's campaign. Hillary Clinton knew when she was hiring
- 25:49Speaker 1: Sessman that this is what he was good at and
- 25:51Speaker 1: it was going to have a major impact, hopefully on
- 25:54Speaker 1: the election. That's just some of what we now know. Now,
- 25:58Speaker 1: if you said any of this it's over the last
- 26:01Speaker 1: several years, since twenty and sixteen, they would tell you
- 26:06Speaker 1: that you are a liar. They would tell you, okay,
- 26:11Speaker 1: that you were putting out Russian disinformation. They would tell
- 26:16Speaker 1: you that you were a part of the Kremlin. This
- 26:21Speaker 1: is all again what they've said now Durham winning. This
- 26:26Speaker 1: is massive. So why is it that the mainstream media
- 26:31Speaker 1: is running fake headlines Because they're trying to save the
- 26:34Speaker 1: Democratic Party? Because if Hillary Clinton goes down, so's the
- 26:37Speaker 1: Democratic Party, and so does Barack Obama's legacy, and so
- 26:41Speaker 1: does Joe Biden. That's why they buried this at Politico
- 26:46Speaker 1: with a headline under their legal section, not under political news,
- 26:50Speaker 1: under breaking news, under news, under legal quote. Judge spars
- 26:54Speaker 1: Clinton Camp and Sessamen ruling. They didn't do that. That's
- 26:56Speaker 1: not what happened. This is how they're first paragraph reads.
- 27:03Speaker 1: Federal judge is turned down a request from Special Counsel
- 27:05Speaker 1: John Durham for a ruling that a lawyer facing trial,
- 27:08Speaker 1: don't even use his name, just a lawyer facing trial
- 27:11Speaker 1: on a false statement charge was part of a wide
- 27:14Speaker 1: ranging joint venture involving Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign, Democratic operatives,
- 27:20Speaker 1: private investigation firm Fusion GPS, and various technology researchers. And
- 27:25Speaker 1: that interesting how they don't even use the name, because
- 27:28Speaker 1: the name is significant. Right, if you actually go back
- 27:32Speaker 1: and you talk and you look at this case, you
- 27:34Speaker 1: know how big of a deal the name is involved. Right,
- 27:39Speaker 1: everybody knows or everybody should know, the name Michael Sessman.
- 27:44Speaker 1: That's exactly why Politico kept it out of their headline
- 27:47Speaker 1: and out of their first paragraph. They just called him
- 27:50Speaker 1: some lawyer, acting like this is a non story. The
- 27:54Speaker 1: decision Politico goes on to write, issued Saturday afternoon by
- 27:57Speaker 1: US District Judge Christopher Cooper, limits Evan and Sin testimony
- 28:00Speaker 1: prosecutors can offer against attorney Michael Sessman at a jury
- 28:04Speaker 1: trial set to get under way later this month, so
- 28:07Speaker 1: they're not even when they do say his name, they're
- 28:09Speaker 1: not even connecting him to Hillary Clinton. The ruling spares
- 28:12Speaker 1: the Clinton campaign and the Democratic National Committee the potential
- 28:15Speaker 1: embarrassment of a federal judge finding they were part of
- 28:19Speaker 1: a coordinated effort to levels since discredited allegations that Kennet
- 28:24Speaker 1: Donald Trump or his allies maintained a data link from
- 28:28Speaker 1: Trump Tower to the Russia's Alpha Bank. The Clinton campaign
- 28:32Speaker 1: disseminated that claim amid a broader effort to call out
- 28:35Speaker 1: Trump's ties to Russia at a time when US intelligence
- 28:38Speaker 1: agencies had revealed efforts by the Russian government to interfere
- 28:41Speaker 1: in the twenty sixteen elections. So even politicos still not
- 28:44Speaker 1: telling you that it's totally lie. They're saying, well, you're
- 28:47Speaker 1: gonna understand why it's out there, right. The Clinton campaign
- 28:50Speaker 1: just disseminated that claim amid a broader effort to call
- 28:53Speaker 1: out Trump's ties to Russia. So they're basically still implying
- 28:56Speaker 1: that Trump still has broader ties to Russia. That is
- 29:01Speaker 1: how Politico is reporting a store acting like this a
- 29:03Speaker 1: win for Hillary Clinton, when clearly it was not a win.
- 29:08Speaker 1: Let me go back to the facts here. The documents,
- 29:12Speaker 1: Durham argued are crucial in building his case. Durham is
- 29:16Speaker 1: seeking to prove that Susman was indeed secretly acting on
- 29:20Speaker 1: behalf of the Democratic Party and the Clinton campaign when
- 29:24Speaker 1: he fabricated allegations against the Trump campaign allegend collision with Russia.
- 29:30Speaker 1: The Washington Examiner reported Wednesday that Judge Christopher Cooper agreed
- 29:34Speaker 1: to grant Durham's motion, arguing he did not believe it
- 29:37Speaker 1: was breaking attorney client privilege for him to review the
- 29:42Speaker 1: documents in question in an in camera setting or away
- 29:46Speaker 1: from the public and the media. One legal blogger appeared
- 29:51Speaker 1: to confirm the ruling, uploading purported court documents. The documents
- 29:56Speaker 1: reportedly contained redacted communications between him listen carefully, the Democratic
- 30:02Speaker 1: National Committee number one, Hillary Clinton's campaign, Hillary for America
- 30:06Speaker 1: number two, the Fusion GPS research company number three, and
- 30:11Speaker 1: the Perkins Coy law firm number four who worked there
- 30:15Speaker 1: Part five Sessman, who's been indicted Kata. Cooper's ruling was
- 30:21Speaker 1: a difference between hiring a firm lawyer to conduct fact
- 30:26Speaker 1: checking versus hiring it to do opposition research. The Examiner
- 30:31Speaker 1: has also reported Hillary for America the DNC and Perkins Coy,
- 30:38Speaker 1: the law firm that Hillary Clinton hired, have all claimed
- 30:41Speaker 1: that these records should be kept sealed under attorney client
- 30:45Speaker 1: privilege since they quote hired Fusion GPS to simply provide
- 30:50Speaker 1: legal services. This is where Durham got him. He argued, no, no, no,
- 30:56Speaker 1: Fusion gps is work went far beyond league services to
- 31:02Speaker 1: engage an out and out opposition research against the Trump campaign,
- 31:06Speaker 1: to the point where they were going in line to
- 31:08Speaker 1: the FBI as claiming they were some sort of whistleblowers,
- 31:14Speaker 1: acting like they were there on their own time, when
- 31:17Speaker 1: they were actually billing the Hillary Clinton campaign right for
- 31:22Speaker 1: the opposition research they were peddling out to the FBI,
- 31:26Speaker 1: to the CIA, and to the media. Now, the court
- 31:31Speaker 1: is set to review only thirty eight of one thousand,
- 31:34Speaker 1: five hundred documents over which the defendants have asserted privilege.
- 31:40Speaker 1: Now this goes back to that fake headline from Politico
- 31:43Speaker 1: I was telling you about a moment ago. Their headline
- 31:46Speaker 1: says Judge spars Clinton camp and Sessamen, ruling he didn't. Well,
- 31:50Speaker 1: they're saying, well, it's only thirty eight documents, right, so
- 31:53Speaker 1: therefore they've protected them. Really because of the one thousand,
- 31:58Speaker 1: five hundred documents that they were asking to see, they
- 32:01Speaker 1: weren't asking, by the way, to see Durham was not
- 32:04Speaker 1: asking to see all the documents. Hence the reason why
- 32:07Speaker 1: he even says that there may be requests for the
- 32:11Speaker 1: introduction in the future of some of these other documents.
- 32:15Speaker 1: Are right now all they want is at thirty eight.
- 32:18Speaker 1: So this is how the media says, Well, it was
- 32:20Speaker 1: mostly a win for Hillary Clinton, even though it clearly wasn't. Now,
- 32:24Speaker 1: this ruling clearly freaked out the defendants legal teams. How
- 32:29Speaker 1: do we know this? Here's the proof. Clinton campaign lawyer
- 32:32Speaker 1: Robert Trout was vigorous and arguing that the government displayed
- 32:39Speaker 1: an quote erroneously cramped view of privilege and called it
- 32:44Speaker 1: a false choice to say something is either opposition research
- 32:49Speaker 1: or covered by privilege. Now, Salesman's lawyer Sean Berkowitz laminated
- 32:55Speaker 1: that the quote governments charged a case with attorneys and
- 33:00Speaker 1: privilege all over the place quote unquote, and claim the
- 33:03Speaker 1: judge's ruling could have a ripple effect that may end
- 33:06Speaker 1: up calling thousands of documents and a question. Okay, so
- 33:10Speaker 1: let's go back to the lying headline from Politico they
- 33:13Speaker 1: say this is a win for Hillary Clinton. Right their headline,
- 33:17Speaker 1: the judge spirits Clinton camp in Suessman ruling. The decision,
- 33:20Speaker 1: issued Saturday afternoon, limits evidence and testimony prosecutors can offer
- 33:24Speaker 1: against attorney Michael Sussman at a jury trial set to
- 33:27Speaker 1: get underway later this month. So you would think, well,
- 33:29Speaker 1: this as good news. It's not good news, and everybody
- 33:32Speaker 1: knows it's not good news. But there it is them
- 33:35Speaker 1: spinning this headline. Maybe the new disinformations are will come
- 33:38Speaker 1: out and say this isn't the truth, right, I'll be
- 33:41Speaker 1: waiting for this now. If you take a step back,
- 33:45Speaker 1: what this means is not only is Hillary Clinton in
- 33:50Speaker 1: serious trouble now, but Sessman is in serious trouble now.
- 33:55Speaker 1: And there's a good chance he's gonna start rolling on
- 33:57Speaker 1: people within the Clinton campaign because he was clearly being
- 34:00Speaker 1: directed by the Clinton campaign. Like that's that's the most
- 34:04Speaker 1: obvious point of all of this. It is very clear,
- 34:09Speaker 1: right that, I mean very very very very very clear
- 34:15Speaker 1: that he was being directed by Hillary Clinton. He was
- 34:18Speaker 1: being directed by Hillary Clinton. He knew what he was
- 34:20Speaker 1: being asked to do, and he went and did it.
- 34:23Speaker 1: He knew how he was gonna lie, and he did it.
- 34:25Speaker 1: He knew that it couldn't come from the Hillary Clinton
- 34:28Speaker 1: campaign Wink quink, nod, nod to the FBI. He knew
- 34:31Speaker 1: that the CIA and the deep State were going to
- 34:33Speaker 1: turn the other way, even though they had to assess
- 34:35Speaker 1: that this was fabricate and material from the very beginning,
- 34:37Speaker 1: and they still went forward with it because this is
- 34:40Speaker 1: the only way they could screw Donald Trump. This wasn't
- 34:44Speaker 1: and to be clear, this wasn't anything about actually Trump
- 34:46Speaker 1: doing something wrong. This was about winning an election and
- 34:49Speaker 1: how you win an election as you go out there
- 34:52Speaker 1: and you tell people that Donald Trump is working for
- 34:57Speaker 1: the Russians and you undermine Donald Trump that way, and
- 34:59Speaker 1: that's exa actually what they did. And it worked. Because
- 35:02Speaker 1: Donald Trump was not reelected. You got to impeach him, right,
- 35:07Speaker 1: That was a good thing. If you're a Democrat, you
- 35:10Speaker 1: love the fact that he was impeached. You're excited about that.
- 35:13Speaker 1: This was victory and you thought you were probably going
- 35:16Speaker 1: to get away with all of this except Donald Trump,
- 35:20Speaker 1: and the pieces of the puzzles started to be put together.
- 35:23Speaker 1: And when those pieces of the puzzles started to be
- 35:25Speaker 1: put together, and then you had Durham that was appointed
- 35:28Speaker 1: to look into this. That's when you knew you were
- 35:31Speaker 1: in trouble. And this campaign has not been able to
- 35:34Speaker 1: stop it so far. Biden has not been able to
- 35:38Speaker 1: stop it so far. Now, if you have this come
- 35:41Speaker 1: down and you all of a sudden see that the
- 35:44Speaker 1: President of the United States of America and his government,
- 35:48Speaker 1: right Joe Biden's Government's been trying to help out Hillary Clinton,
- 35:51Speaker 1: this is only going to complicate things that much more
- 35:55Speaker 1: because now you've got these other major problems. If you're
- 35:58Speaker 1: the White House right now, you may almost wish for
- 36:01Speaker 1: a moment that Hillary Clinton becomes a center of attention
- 36:03Speaker 1: because you're in such a bad spot. You're in such
- 36:06Speaker 1: a bad scenario now when it comes to your own
- 36:09Speaker 1: son and those investigations. Don't forget to go backwards and
