- 0:59Speaker 1: that turn hur You got turns to turn them out.

- 1:55Speaker 1: Come come on your baby, huh. I show will a
- 2:03Speaker 1: good morning everybody, y'all listening to the voice, Come on
- 2:06Speaker 1: dig me now one it only Steve Harvey got a
- 2:10Speaker 1: radio show. Well, nothing changes about that. Nothing changes about that. Man.
- 2:17Speaker 1: I was just so getting ready to come on to
- 2:20Speaker 1: air this morning. I was just thinking, man, I was
- 2:25Speaker 1: just having a reflective moment of just how really good
- 2:29Speaker 1: God has been to me. I just it's it's it's man.
- 2:36Speaker 1: Let me just say that again, how really good God
- 2:39Speaker 1: has been to me. And here's a cold part. In
- 2:43Speaker 1: spite of myself, you understand, in spite of all my shortcomings,
- 2:49Speaker 1: in spite of all of my flaws and and and
- 2:54Speaker 1: and in spite of all of what anybody has said
- 2:56Speaker 1: about me, God, through his grace and mercy, just keeps
- 3:01Speaker 1: me anyway. So many of us are exceptional people, but
- 3:09Speaker 1: we refuse to just go ahead and be exceptional. We
- 3:16Speaker 1: settle for the ordinary, We follow the pack, We try
- 3:22Speaker 1: to fit in. Man, oh man, oh man, You know,
- 3:25Speaker 1: I've heard my wife say this to my children all
- 3:28Speaker 1: the time, when she's scolding them, talking to him, she'd
- 3:31Speaker 1: be talking to him about leadership. You know, why are
- 3:34Speaker 1: you following everybody when God clearly made you to lead?
- 3:37Speaker 1: So many of us are born, and so many of
- 3:40Speaker 1: you are born to be exceptional people, but we always
- 3:45Speaker 1: trying to follow the pack. Why would you try to
- 3:48Speaker 1: fit in? Why would you try to be like everybody else,
- 3:55Speaker 1: be ordinary? Why would you follow the pack when God
- 3:59Speaker 1: has created you be exceptional? The key word in exceptional
- 4:04Speaker 1: is accept you. Ever you ever done this? Right here?
- 4:08Speaker 1: You know everybody did that, accept me. Everybody felt that
- 4:12Speaker 1: way except me. Everybody said that except me. Everybody won't
- 4:19Speaker 1: wanted that. Accept me. Everybody went over that except me.
- 4:25Speaker 1: Everybody jumped in except me, accept me. See why have
- 4:32Speaker 1: you saying that in your life? If you were not
- 4:34Speaker 1: to be exceptional? See, you got to say everybody accept
- 4:39Speaker 1: me at one point in You're to I don't know
- 4:41Speaker 1: who ain't done it? You know everybody wanted. Everybody voted
- 4:44Speaker 1: no except me? See it? So you're not You're not
- 4:50Speaker 1: created to follow the pack. You ain't created to fit in.
- 4:53Speaker 1: You ain't created to h you know, to be ordinary.
- 4:57Speaker 1: You will create it to be exceptional, as exceptional as
- 5:01Speaker 1: your fingerprint on your finger is. You were created to
- 5:05Speaker 1: be exceptional. Why not make this the year that you
- 5:09Speaker 1: go ahead on and be exceptional? Why won't this be
- 5:13Speaker 1: the year that you decide in your mind? But just
- 5:16Speaker 1: has to be a decision that we make. Now we're
- 5:19Speaker 1: not following the pack no more. We're not trying to
- 5:22Speaker 1: fit in no more. We ain't settling for ordinary no more.
- 5:26Speaker 1: We're gonna be exceptional. But you know, you got you
- 5:29Speaker 1: got to go ahead and follow that. You got to
- 5:31Speaker 1: get on the exceptional path because that's what you were
- 5:34Speaker 1: created for. Why be ordinary? You know? But all of
- 5:37Speaker 1: this this comes to it has to start with a thought.
- 5:42Speaker 1: You got to first think something thought to become things.
- 5:46Speaker 1: A man is as he thinketh that's all you will
- 5:50Speaker 1: ever be. So what are your thoughts today? Why not
- 5:54Speaker 1: have exceptional thoughts instead of ordinary thoughts? Why not have
- 5:58Speaker 1: exceptional thoughts instead of fitting me in thoughts? So why
- 6:01Speaker 1: you want to be like everybody else. Why you want
- 6:04Speaker 1: to be ordinary when you could possibly be extraordinary with
- 6:08Speaker 1: a change of your mind, a change of your venue,
- 6:11Speaker 1: And you don't have to be any other kind of
- 6:14Speaker 1: way just because my mama was this way, my daddy
- 6:17Speaker 1: was this way, This the school I went to? This,
- 6:20Speaker 1: what race I belong to? This is my sexual preference,
- 6:23Speaker 1: this is my this, this is my daddy? How many?
- 6:26Speaker 1: How many? How many excuses you need? I'm an excuse? What? What? What? What? You?
- 6:31Speaker 1: What's it gonna be this year that we let another
- 6:34Speaker 1: three hundred and sixty five days slip by without improving
- 6:38Speaker 1: our condition, our place, our spot, our life, the quality
- 6:43Speaker 1: of life we have. We cannot afford to keep letting
- 6:48Speaker 1: all these years go by without changing. You're an exceptional person.
- 6:55Speaker 1: How many times have you set up and said, everybody
- 6:58Speaker 1: did that accept me? You know I was only everybody
- 7:02Speaker 1: jumped in accept me. I told him I knew it.
- 7:06Speaker 1: Everybody voted for that, accept me, And now look at him, man,
- 7:11Speaker 1: it seemed like everybody went that way, accept me. Okay,
- 7:16Speaker 1: do you get it? Do you understand what's being said
- 7:21Speaker 1: to you that don't accept me is because couldn't it be?
- 7:25Speaker 1: Because You're an exceptional person, and it's time for you
- 7:28Speaker 1: to take control of that. It's time for you to
- 7:31Speaker 1: start thinking different. It's time for you to start acting
- 7:34Speaker 1: on what you think. It's time for you to start
- 7:36Speaker 1: doing something about it. It's time for you to stop
- 7:39Speaker 1: taking each and every day that God gives us for
- 7:41Speaker 1: granted and letting them go by the wayside. Like you
- 7:44Speaker 1: got plenty more. Well, you may have plenty more, but
- 7:47Speaker 1: guess what what you're wasting the ones you got for
- 7:52Speaker 1: I got you young, and you and you feel like
- 7:54Speaker 1: you're gonna live forever. Da Okay, cool, But let me
- 7:57Speaker 1: ask you something. See here here, here go the part
- 8:00Speaker 1: about pose you do live? See see everybody willing about dying.
- 8:04Speaker 1: But I got news for you. Suppose you keep on living.
- 8:07Speaker 1: You want to keep living in the condition you in now.
- 8:10Speaker 1: You want to keep living with the money you got now.
- 8:12Speaker 1: You want to keep living with the relationship you got now.
- 8:15Speaker 1: You want to keep living by yourself like you are now.
- 8:19Speaker 1: You want to keep wanting the right relationship, the right man,
- 8:21Speaker 1: the the right woman, but you keep getting the wrong one.
- 8:23Speaker 1: You want to keep doing that for the rest of
- 8:26Speaker 1: your life. Problem ain't dying. It's problem is if you
- 8:28Speaker 1: keep on living. Who wants to keep on living just
- 8:31Speaker 1: the way they are right now? And if you could
- 8:34Speaker 1: say I'm cool, what I am just the way I
- 8:36Speaker 1: am right now? In cool, this conversation ain't for you.
- 8:39Speaker 1: I ain't got no problem with that. You know, you
- 8:42Speaker 1: want to say, greatness ain't for everybody. Being exceptional ain't fun.
- 8:47Speaker 1: Everybody Becoming extraordinary ain't fun. Everybody. Heck, becoming successful ain't
- 8:52Speaker 1: fun everybody. I got it. And you can come up
- 8:55Speaker 1: with a way to justify your non existence in your
- 8:58Speaker 1: ordinary life all you want, and that's fine and dandy.
- 9:01Speaker 1: I ain't got no problem with it. Because some people
- 9:04Speaker 1: just gonna be regular. Some people just gonna follow the pack,
- 9:08Speaker 1: follow the crowd. Some people just wants to fit in.
- 9:11Speaker 1: But if you're not that person, if you want to
- 9:14Speaker 1: be extraordinary, if you want to be exceptional, if you
- 9:18Speaker 1: want to be if you want to dare to be
- 9:19Speaker 1: great at something, and you got to change your mind set.
- 9:23Speaker 1: You got to get with your creating, find out what
- 9:25Speaker 1: he created you fault. You gotta quit thinking of things
- 9:28Speaker 1: just in your own thought process, you know, lean not
- 9:31Speaker 1: to your own understanding. I don't know what that is.
- 9:34Speaker 1: But it's in there somewhere seeing. Once you lean, if
- 9:37Speaker 1: you lean to your own understanding, you know what it's
- 9:39Speaker 1: gonna do. It's gonna limit you. Man, it's gonna limit you.
- 9:43Speaker 1: Why not see what God got for you. I would
- 9:46Speaker 1: rather know what God got for me than to think
- 9:48Speaker 1: of all the things I could because I can't out
- 9:50Speaker 1: think him out and tried it before. All right, it's
- 9:53Speaker 1: just the beginning. We're gonna have a good one. Man.
- 9:55Speaker 1: Let's go. You're listening, ladies and gentlemen. Let me have
- 10:02Speaker 1: you undivided the chinchin. Please. This is the beginning of
- 10:05Speaker 1: a new day. This is the start of the Steve
- 10:07Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show. Let us begin three two one. What's up? Shelly? Hey?
- 10:15Speaker 1: What's up? Steve? Holo? What's going on? Steve Hey? Crew, Hey, Julio.
- 10:22Speaker 1: They do well? Then the porch if you back doge dove,
- 10:30Speaker 1: I see what it sounds like. You're on the porch
- 10:34Speaker 1: and we're passing by drive that third drive at third point,
- 10:50Speaker 1: you act like you do a normal body. Ah way,
- 10:53Speaker 1: lottle cute the girl walk a bobby walk you tonight? Yeah?
- 11:09Speaker 1: I love it. If you think, you know, you know,
- 11:11Speaker 1: I think when we go down and still give me
- 11:13Speaker 1: a watermelon. Le memel. When you thump a watermelon, what
- 11:20Speaker 1: you're listening for? No, I don't thump watermelons. I know
- 11:23Speaker 1: how to pick watermelons. I thought you're supposed to thump them. No, dog,
- 11:27Speaker 1: what you're gonna tell about the thumb? This is how
- 11:29Speaker 1: you pick a sweet watermelon. Where the steem comes out
- 11:32Speaker 1: the bottom, where it has the stem on it, or
- 11:35Speaker 1: where it steem used to be. If you see a
- 11:38Speaker 1: lot of you know, those veins. Yeah, yet on the
- 11:43Speaker 1: outside that sugar content, so that means it's a sweet
- 11:50Speaker 1: that's termelon. That's right. Now, you can pick a sweet
- 11:53Speaker 1: one that don't have it because like them, dog, green
- 11:57Speaker 1: was don't oftentimes show a lot of vantage. But when
- 11:59Speaker 1: you pick them light green with them loans, huh yeah,
- 12:06Speaker 1: got that right down. When it got a lot of
- 12:08Speaker 1: brown veins coming around off that stock, that steam, that
- 12:12Speaker 1: sugar content. Oh, that's how you're petty boy. Now they
- 12:17Speaker 1: thump them down south. I didn't. Yeah, well you know
- 12:20Speaker 1: you don't. You don't know how to do that because
- 12:23Speaker 1: you don't buy enough of them. You don't grow them.
- 12:25Speaker 1: If you grow watermelons, you could thump them, But you
- 12:27Speaker 1: don't know what you're even looking. Okay, when they thought
- 12:30Speaker 1: what you're looking for, I don't know. I don't know
- 12:32Speaker 1: what I'm listening. So now you're just thumping. You take
- 12:36Speaker 1: this ragged ass watermelon right onto the house. And are
- 12:39Speaker 1: we doing? Are we doing seeds or seedless? Because I
- 12:43Speaker 1: like seeds. No seed there's no watermelon that don't have
- 12:47Speaker 1: seeds at all. Watermelons got seeds. But but yeah, but
- 12:51Speaker 1: you know they have seedless watermelons. That's dramatic, you modified,
- 12:55Speaker 1: surely I can read, well, yeah, a store like that, Yeah, no,
- 13:00Speaker 1: but that but that ain't the real Real watermelons have seeds.
- 13:05Speaker 1: And that's what I let me tell you. Some go
- 13:08Speaker 1: to Africa and you'll be trying to find seedlers watermelon
- 13:11Speaker 1: the whole time you over there. Okay, seeds, I want
- 13:16Speaker 1: the seeds. Yeah yeah, okay, just a little country lesson
- 13:21Speaker 1: on how to pick a watermelon because we because we
- 13:25Speaker 1: were approaching watermelon season. What is it exactly? Because ju June?
- 13:30Speaker 1: Oh is June? All right? July to September? You add
- 13:35Speaker 1: death watermelon? Come on, all right? Coming up in thirty
- 13:38Speaker 1: two minutes after the hours, Sister odell is in the
- 13:41Speaker 1: building right after this. You're listening to show. All right, guys,

- 15:43Speaker 1: and stuff. But I let it. I let him have

- 16:30Speaker 1: that's what there used to be a gas called that
- 16:33Speaker 1: bow run gas. What did you think about ron Eysley's outfit? Girl,
- 16:39Speaker 1: wasn't something had all you young snappers? Won't sugar daddy?
- 16:44Speaker 1: Sugar Daddy? Yes, turn them out, turn them out, come

- 30:25Speaker 1: was it. I think that was it. That was pretty
- 30:28Speaker 1: much it. I think that was it. When he said
- 30:31Speaker 1: and he went in there, put that red hat on,
- 30:33Speaker 1: that was it. You know, it's really sat in front
- 30:36Speaker 1: of him. It's really Jim Brown sitting there. I don't

- 33:00Speaker 1: and good morning everyone. This is answered with the news.
- 33:02Speaker 1: Yesterday's court action and the Derek Chauvin George Floyd murder
- 33:06Speaker 1: case involved still other Minneapolis cops talking about training and
- 33:10Speaker 1: how mister Floyd's detention was handled. Prosecutors called police lieutenant
- 33:13Speaker 1: and trainer Johnny Murcille, who said that Derek Chauvin's grinding
- 33:17Speaker 1: his knee into Floyd's neck was not something that Minneapolis
- 33:20Speaker 1: cops are trained to do. Video shows Chauvin pressing his
- 33:23Speaker 1: knee into George Floyd's neck for over nine minutes until
- 33:26Speaker 1: the paramedics arrived. Also on the stand yesterday, Officer Nicole McKenzie,
- 33:31Speaker 1: who trains Minneapolis cops in medical support now. She was
- 33:34Speaker 1: asked by Chauvin's attorney about something called agonal breathing, which
- 33:38Speaker 1: can occur when people are in medical distress. Apparently, Officer
- 33:41Speaker 1: McKenzie explained that agonal breathing consists of irregular gasps for air.
- 33:47Speaker 1: Chauvin's lawyer asked if it could be confused with effective
- 33:50Speaker 1: or normal breathing, breathing, and McKenzie said yes. Then the
- 33:53Speaker 1: prosecutor asked whether officers police officers are taught that if
- 33:57Speaker 1: a person can talk, they can breathe, and he answered no, sir,
- 34:01Speaker 1: ending that just because someone is speaking does not mean
- 34:04Speaker 1: that they're breathing adequately. The House has voted to reintroduce
- 34:09Speaker 1: the Violence Against Women Act, the nineteen ninety four measure
- 34:13Speaker 1: that would provide resources for victims of sexual and domestic violence.
- 34:16Speaker 1: There was a bipartisan support for the basic bill the
- 34:19Speaker 1: first time around, but a split occurred over added gun
- 34:21Speaker 1: control and transgender provisions. The Georgian House of Representatives has
- 34:25Speaker 1: voted unanimously to repeal a citizens arrest law that actually
- 34:29Speaker 1: predates the Civil War. Since eighteen sixty three, a private
- 34:33Speaker 1: citizen could make an arrest if a crime was committed
- 34:36Speaker 1: in that person's presence or within their immediate knowledge, but
- 34:40Speaker 1: see critics say was really used as a justification to
- 34:42Speaker 1: round up escape slaves, and later on as a justification
- 34:46Speaker 1: for lynching black people. The vote took place a little
- 34:48Speaker 1: over a year after the murder of an innocent black
- 34:51Speaker 1: dagger named Ahmed Aubury. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi sent Leader
- 34:54Speaker 1: Charles Schumer say that the body of USA Capitol Police
- 34:57Speaker 1: Officer William Billy Evans will lie and stayed in the
- 34:59Speaker 1: Capital Rotunda April thirteenth. Evans killed your last Friday when
- 35:03Speaker 1: a man rammed his car into the barry and was
- 35:05Speaker 1: shot and killed by the police after getting out of
- 35:08Speaker 1: the vehicle lunging at the offices with a knife. Is
- 35:10Speaker 1: never ever clear really how William Billy Evans was killed anyway.
- 35:14Speaker 1: Evans the second Capitol Police officers to dine in the
- 35:17Speaker 1: line of duty this week. This year, officer Brian Sicknick,
- 35:20Speaker 1: you may remember, was killed during the January or six insurrection.
- 35:23Speaker 1: His body also was allowed to lie in honor in
- 35:26Speaker 1: the Capitol Hill rotunda. A sad news, Florida Congressman Elsie
- 35:31Speaker 1: Hastings has died. Hastings a civil rights lawyer who became
- 35:34Speaker 1: a federal judge after a nearly long decade career in Congress. Also,
- 35:38Speaker 1: and don't call her Tandy Newton anyway, she's taken her
- 35:40Speaker 1: new name, which your old name is Tande Way, which
- 35:42Speaker 1: means in her Shona language beloved. Now back to the
- 35:45Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show. You're listening to Morning show all right,
- 35:50Speaker 1: when we all vote, wants us to know that voter
- 35:53Speaker 1: suppression isn't a relic of a past. It is still
- 35:56Speaker 1: happening in state houses across the country, with over three
- 36:00Speaker 1: hundred and sixty one voter suppression bills being introduced in
- 36:04Speaker 1: over forty seven states. It is clear that we need
- 36:07Speaker 1: federal voting protection. We need it now, Steve Harvey Nation,
- 36:11Speaker 1: we need it now. Please stay woke and take action.
- 36:15Speaker 1: Join the fight for the Senate to pass for the
- 36:18Speaker 1: People Act. For the People Act incorporates key measures that
- 36:22Speaker 1: are urgently needed, including automatic voter registration and other steps
- 36:26Speaker 1: to modernize our elections, and a national guarantee of free
- 36:31Speaker 1: and fair elections without voter suppression. So what we need
- 36:36Speaker 1: you to do, Steve Harvey Nation, is go to When
- 36:38Speaker 1: we All Vote dot org to contact your senator today.
- 36:44Speaker 1: All right, this is serious, all right? They want to
- 36:46Speaker 1: keep us from the polls. That was amazing how they're
- 36:51Speaker 1: blatantly do it. And the major lead Baseball has moved
- 36:57Speaker 1: the All Star Game out of joy because of that
- 37:01Speaker 1: law that Governor Kempt passed behind closed doors, signed over
- 37:08Speaker 1: one hundred pieces of paper behind closed doors to make
- 37:12Speaker 1: it a law. That's amazing, man, that this dude and
- 37:16Speaker 1: his cronies could get together and pass a law for
- 37:19Speaker 1: an entire state and it is directed directly at people
- 37:23Speaker 1: of color for out last election. So now it's illegal
- 37:29Speaker 1: to give a person some water when they're in line.
- 37:34Speaker 1: It's a little about man, because they are going to
- 37:38Speaker 1: call close polling places in black neighborhoods reduced. Take make
- 37:43Speaker 1: it one to four, and now you got to stand
- 37:46Speaker 1: in longer lines, and to discourage you. You don't want
- 37:49Speaker 1: to stand in line, and you're thirsty, so you're gonna
- 37:51Speaker 1: turn around and go home. And now I can't nobody
- 37:54Speaker 1: even give you water. That's a bunch of crap. Man's horrible.
- 37:58Speaker 1: But if we stood in those long lines last election,
- 38:01Speaker 1: even during a pandemic, I don't think there's no turning
- 38:04Speaker 1: back now, Steve, it doesn't matter what we're going to do.
- 38:08Speaker 1: Republican Party get ready. We're gonna educate our people like
- 38:11Speaker 1: we are going to be well prepared for this move
- 38:14Speaker 1: you make, y'all gonna lose again. And the promise that
- 38:18Speaker 1: I'm giving you is y'all gonna be down there in
- 38:20Speaker 1: my logo with Trump Star. Since you got your head
- 38:24Speaker 1: push that far off the crack of his behind, gone
- 38:27Speaker 1: down there with him. They know, good hair, well, this
- 38:31Speaker 1: election wasn't stolen. They know good in hall well, biggest
- 38:35Speaker 1: lie ever. But but to stay okay with the Trump supporters,
- 38:39Speaker 1: they jumped on board and act like, what's up if
- 38:42Speaker 1: if the election was stolen, where are the votes that
- 38:45Speaker 1: were stolen? And why did all the other Republicans win
- 38:50Speaker 1: except Trump? You know, just don't make no d Yeah, right,
- 38:53Speaker 1: get out of here. Go to When We All Vote
- 38:55Speaker 1: dot org to contact your senator today. Okay, coming up
- 38:58Speaker 1: with thirty four minutes after the hour, we'll do a
- 39:01Speaker 1: quick round of ask the CLO. Right after this. You're
- 39:04Speaker 1: listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Coming up, guys
- 39:08Speaker 1: at the top of the hour, you do not want
- 39:10Speaker 1: to miss it. It is a live strawberry letter with
- 39:13Speaker 1: Martel Hote from the own networks, Love and Marriage, Huntsville. Okay,
- 39:18Speaker 1: you don't want to miss that, all right, but right

- 39:40Speaker 1: other day, my twenty two year old daughter told me
- 39:43Speaker 1: that she likes him, and they've been out a few times.
- 39:47Speaker 1: I want to mind my own business, but I've heard
- 39:49Speaker 1: him talk about how he treats these girls and how
- 39:52Speaker 1: he's only in it for sex. He doesn't know that
- 39:55Speaker 1: I'm that. I know that he's pushing up on my daughter.
- 39:59Speaker 1: Do I mind in my business or have a man
- 40:01Speaker 1: to man talk with him? Man? Yeah, just he's a phone. Hey,
- 40:08Speaker 1: my man can't talk to you for me. Now you here, supervisor,
- 40:12Speaker 1: So you gotta be careful. You gotta make sure this outside.
- 40:15Speaker 1: Just stough, casey, get out of hand. Okay, you throws
- 40:21Speaker 1: asking that Dumpston going home? Yeah? Well wait, I thought
- 40:27Speaker 1: on what I'm saying. Yeah about the damn daughters. Man,
- 40:36Speaker 1: I haven't done everything. So I'm just telling you, just
- 40:39Speaker 1: gonna step to him and say, look at man, just
- 40:41Speaker 1: find something else to do. He's got to say something
- 40:45Speaker 1: something to find yourself something else to do. All right,
- 40:48Speaker 1: Here we go. Marissa and Charleston, South Carolina says, I
- 40:52Speaker 1: have a twin sister that got married two months ago.
- 40:54Speaker 1: We used to live together, so her wedding gifts are
- 40:57Speaker 1: still coming to my house. I plan to drop the
- 41:00Speaker 1: off while I was on her side of town last Saturday.
- 41:03Speaker 1: When I got there, she wasn't home, but her husband
- 41:06Speaker 1: said she'd be right back. My twin walked in a
- 41:08Speaker 1: few minutes later and went off on me for being
- 41:11Speaker 1: in her house while she was not home. I was
- 41:14Speaker 1: so hurt and embarrassed, And all she said is, I'll
- 41:17Speaker 1: understand when I get married. Did I violate a marriage code? No?
- 41:22Speaker 1: Not really, your sister trippet obviously. Wow, First of all,
- 41:25Speaker 1: let me say something. Probably ain't your fault at all.
- 41:29Speaker 1: She probably had some type of suspicion about her husband.
- 41:35Speaker 1: And now you over there and it played out with
- 41:37Speaker 1: you right right, her twin. Yeah, don't even You didn't
- 41:42Speaker 1: violate nothing. You went over your sister's house, Yeah, to

- 42:14Speaker 1: I've been married for eighteen years and my husband is retired.
- 42:18Speaker 1: I'm still working full time because I don't want to
- 42:20Speaker 1: be home with my husband after all these years. I'm
- 42:23Speaker 1: sick of his boring conversation and how he never wants
- 42:26Speaker 1: to do anything but watch TV. Even the way he
- 42:29Speaker 1: coughs gets on my nerves. I don't want to divorce him,
- 42:33Speaker 1: but I need a break from him. So I plan
- 42:35Speaker 1: to go on vacation by myself for a week. How
- 42:39Speaker 1: do I tell him this? Probably just had to go
- 42:42Speaker 1: on board that play called him from. Now call him
- 42:49Speaker 1: from the yeah, taxi, because if you don't, he gonna
- 42:53Speaker 1: have his coffin as down there resort room. Yeah. You
- 43:04Speaker 1: nobody want to look at the water trying to get away. Yeah,
- 43:12Speaker 1: you're tired of him. You need a break? Everybody need
- 43:14Speaker 1: a break? Yeah, okay, all right, Well, coming up next,
- 43:20Speaker 1: it is a nephew with Today's prank phone call. Right
- 43:23Speaker 1: after this, and don't forget, we got a live Strawberry
- 43:26Speaker 1: letter coming up too. You're listening to Sting show coming
- 43:31Speaker 1: up at the top of the hour right about four
- 43:33Speaker 1: minutes after. It's my strawberry letter for today, but it's
- 43:36Speaker 1: gonna be live with a special guest, Martell Hoped from
- 43:39Speaker 1: own networks, Love and Marriage, Huntsville. He's gonna be here
- 43:46Speaker 1: right now. We'll get to that in a minute. Right now,
- 43:50Speaker 1: the nephew is here with today's prank phone call. What
- 43:53Speaker 1: you got for us? Nef the ring? Bairly and calling
- 43:58Speaker 1: you guys, have you got the ring? And of course
- 44:00Speaker 1: before the ring, you have the engagement ring, but you
- 44:03Speaker 1: have the ring, right remember the ring when you first
- 44:07Speaker 1: got the ring? Yeah, yeah, this is the ring. This
- 44:14Speaker 1: is scary. Let's go cat. Hello, Hello, I'm trying to
- 44:20Speaker 1: reach a Denise. Yes, this is she, Hi Denise. My
- 44:24Speaker 1: name is Gavin. I'm actually the head jeweler here, diamond. No,
- 44:28Speaker 1: how you doing? I'm good? You brought your ring in
- 44:30Speaker 1: what was it last week? I actually wasn't here, but
- 44:33Speaker 1: you gave it to one of my salespersons. And yes,
- 44:36Speaker 1: you wanted to get it resized as well as get
- 44:39Speaker 1: it a praise. Correct, yes, yes, yes, and you don't
- 44:41Speaker 1: have to tell him to be that on my own. Okay, wow, okay, listen,
- 44:48Speaker 1: I actually do the resize the ring. And first of all,
- 44:50Speaker 1: let me be the person say, um, congratulations, when when
- 44:54Speaker 1: is your wedding? Thank you? I'm getting married and stuff
- 44:56Speaker 1: coming there. Well, congratulations too, thank you. Listen, I don't
- 45:00Speaker 1: know how to tell you this now. As far as
- 45:02Speaker 1: the appraiserless concern. I've looked at your ring over and
- 45:05Speaker 1: over and this this ring is probably worth maybe fifty dollars.
- 45:12Speaker 1: Excuse me, I've been I've been in this business for
- 45:15Speaker 1: over twenty years. But you know what, I'm confused on
- 45:17Speaker 1: what you just said. And I understand that. What I'm
- 45:20Speaker 1: trying to explain to you is that I've been in
- 45:22Speaker 1: this business for over twenty years. I've seen so many
- 45:24Speaker 1: different pieces of jewelry and this is something that you
- 45:27Speaker 1: that you buy late night on an infomercial for nineteen
- 45:31Speaker 1: ninety nine. This is a Cubic Zaconian stone and the
- 45:35Speaker 1: gold is not real at all. It's like, wait, wait, wait,
- 45:39Speaker 1: you lost me. You lost me as much money as
- 45:41Speaker 1: my hand make and as much money as my father
- 45:44Speaker 1: is putting down on his winding or has put down.
- 45:47Speaker 1: And you're gonna understand everything you're saying. But Denise, honestly,
- 45:50Speaker 1: do is hold on wait. I need you to hold
- 45:55Speaker 1: on because we need to convict us. Wait. Wait, man,
- 45:58Speaker 1: First of all, I can't else, so wait wait wait, wait,
- 46:01Speaker 1: wait wait hold on because okay, can you wait wait wait?
- 46:08Speaker 1: What are you trying to what you're trying to do, sir?
- 46:11Speaker 1: I need I need you to repeat what you just
- 46:13Speaker 1: said to me. Okay, I need personal stuff. Man, you
- 46:18Speaker 1: oh you hit it. It's personal now, So I need
- 46:20Speaker 1: you to hold on. Okay, oh she called her man. Okay,
- 46:27Speaker 1: thank thank hello, victim. I need to listen to this
- 46:31Speaker 1: juela that's on the front. I want you to hit it.
- 46:33Speaker 1: But he just told me, hold what's what's the problem?
- 46:35Speaker 1: What you mean, what's the problem. He's gonna tell you
- 46:37Speaker 1: what the problem is. Gonna hit on, sir, don't hit on? Hello, Yeah,
- 46:41Speaker 1: who's this all right? My name is Gavin. I'm from Diamonds.
- 46:44Speaker 1: And actually your wife, I mean where your fiance. Rather,
- 46:47Speaker 1: she brought her ring in to actually be resized, and
- 46:51Speaker 1: we we also did an appraisal on the ring for her.
- 46:54Speaker 1: And actually the ring is estimated to be only in
- 46:58Speaker 1: the words of around fifty dollars fifty dollars dollars fifty
- 47:03Speaker 1: that's what the man said dollars in these homes. The sir,
- 47:07Speaker 1: obviously there's some sort of mistakes, sir, Now what you
- 47:09Speaker 1: got to say about that fifty dollars? That's that's got
- 47:13Speaker 1: to be some kind of mistakes. And what'd you say
- 47:15Speaker 1: your name was, sir? My name is Gavin. I work
- 47:17Speaker 1: here at Diamonds. I'm the head jeweler here. I've been
- 47:19Speaker 1: here for twenty years. And there's there's no way that
- 47:23Speaker 1: that ring is worth fifty dollars. I know what I
- 47:25Speaker 1: paid for it. So obviously there's some sort of mistakes.
- 47:28Speaker 1: There's not a mistake. I've been dealing with jury, I've
- 47:31Speaker 1: seen it. I can't pretty much look at a ring,
- 47:33Speaker 1: but I actually went into detail on this one, as
- 47:36Speaker 1: I do all of them, and so I promise you
- 47:38Speaker 1: this is probably maybe between forty and fifty dollars for
- 47:42Speaker 1: his workers. Now, absolutely not. That's that's impossible. How is
- 47:46Speaker 1: that impossible? He's a jeweler. You heard him say, he's
- 47:48Speaker 1: been doing it for twenty he's the highest impossible. I
- 47:51Speaker 1: don't understand that all the money that my dad is
- 47:53Speaker 1: putting down on this wedding and you don't pay fifty
- 47:57Speaker 1: You bought a cheap ring. Sir, No, no, no, I
- 47:59Speaker 1: did not. I this is this is this is obviously
- 48:02Speaker 1: some kind of mistake. You didn't got it right. You
- 48:06Speaker 1: show got that right. So what you got to say
- 48:08Speaker 1: for yourself? Don't you can't I believe that that's right.
- 48:12Speaker 1: This is this is obviously some kind of mistac Oh,
- 48:15Speaker 1: it is a mistake. I'm mistake and thinking I'm gonna
- 48:17Speaker 1: get marriage to the man of my dream. I do
- 48:19Speaker 1: have the engagement ring that was purchased and bought for
- 48:22Speaker 1: your wife. I was thinking, I don't think you do.
- 48:24Speaker 1: I don't think you have my ring, because if you
- 48:26Speaker 1: have my ring, you wouldn't be telling me this is
- 48:27Speaker 1: worth fifty dollars. I have the ring that your wife,
- 48:31Speaker 1: your fiance brought in his wife. Yet hold on, hold on.
- 48:34Speaker 1: The man is trying to explain. I'm trying to get
- 48:36Speaker 1: to the body. Thank you, So you have I don't
- 48:40Speaker 1: think he has the right ring. I have the right ring.
- 48:42Speaker 1: And what I'm letting you know, sir, is that this
- 48:45Speaker 1: is something you buy on an infomercial. In the dude,
- 48:49Speaker 1: you know, I ain't bot damn ring on infomercial. I
- 48:53Speaker 1: bought the ring from a reputable establishment. I have the receipt.
- 48:57Speaker 1: I have the certificate. So obviously the mistakes on your
- 49:00Speaker 1: end where you're the mistakers now here s you bought
- 49:03Speaker 1: a piece of junk. He's been doing it all these years.
- 49:06Speaker 1: How hell he's gonna make a mistake whe you come
- 49:08Speaker 1: off telling me I bought a piece of junk. I
- 49:10Speaker 1: know what I bought. If there's any mistakes that's been made,
- 49:13Speaker 1: it's on your end, world, where it's not on my end. Yeah,
- 49:16Speaker 1: Hold don't we all don't way? You want things that
- 49:21Speaker 1: my dad has had too much money for this wedding,
- 49:23Speaker 1: So your dollars gonna pay fifty dollars dollars dolls all
- 49:26Speaker 1: wing you wait till I tell him this? Chill hold on.
- 49:29Speaker 1: First of all, I don't appreciate you. I want to
- 49:31Speaker 1: tell you this. This is a typical case of you
- 49:33Speaker 1: trying to put it off for us because you bought
- 49:35Speaker 1: a piece of stuff for fifty bucks. The money did
- 49:38Speaker 1: two dollars on? I get fifty dollars worth of a ring, Denise,
- 49:41Speaker 1: hold on, let me talk to this where you talk
- 49:43Speaker 1: and get dollars? I never heard of it. So your
- 49:48Speaker 1: wife knows exactly where issues the one that brought the ring,
- 49:50Speaker 1: and I'll tell you what. I'm gonna come down there
- 49:52Speaker 1: to see the ring that you're talking about. If it's
- 49:55Speaker 1: not the ring that I gave my girl, I'm gonna
- 49:57Speaker 1: take seventy six hundred dollars out of your because that's so.
- 50:01Speaker 1: Now you want to jump on me because you bought
- 50:04Speaker 1: your wife a piece. Come on, you want to put
- 50:06Speaker 1: it on me? You you don't tell me what the
- 50:09Speaker 1: I don't know what the I spin on the ring
- 50:11Speaker 1: and you I don't kind of trying to pull. First
- 50:13Speaker 1: of all, I don't appreciate you coming in my household
- 50:15Speaker 1: trying to mess my and you want to come to
- 50:17Speaker 1: me with this one. I know the ring better be real.
- 50:20Speaker 1: If I were you, mister niece, I would not marry
- 50:22Speaker 1: somebody that I'm coming there. I'm looking for your pocket
- 50:26Speaker 1: and you know what, you don't get the ring in
- 50:28Speaker 1: a right man, you're gonna go in it. Can I
- 50:30Speaker 1: say one more thing to both of you? Are better?
- 50:32Speaker 1: I tell you what if they did, I don't want
- 50:34Speaker 1: to hear me, and you're gonna have some more problems.
- 50:35Speaker 1: This is nephew telling me from the Steve Arvin Morning Show.
- 50:39Speaker 1: Y'all just got pranked by the niece's sister. That that
- 50:48Speaker 1: why she ain't got no man to be Wow. That's
- 50:54Speaker 1: I man, Wow, that's how cool? Time are you about
- 50:57Speaker 1: to start me? Wow? I'm sorry, baby, I'm sorry, I'm sorry.
- 51:02Speaker 1: I will ring. I gotta ask y'all something. What is
- 51:08Speaker 1: the baddest radio show in the wow? But Steve Harvey,
- 51:21Speaker 1: isn't it wrong to go get to ring a praise? Though?
- 51:24Speaker 1: Isn't that like wrong? Kind of tacky? Yeah? That's tack. Yeah, okay,
- 51:31Speaker 1: so let me ask both of y'all. Y'all, when y'all
- 51:32Speaker 1: got y'all's ring, did you did you like? Wonder how
- 51:36Speaker 1: much your man spent on you? Really? I just liked.
- 51:39Speaker 1: I was trying to laugh my body language. Yeah I
- 51:50Speaker 1: didn't really, Yeah, I didn't really did y'all know? Did
- 51:54Speaker 1: y'all pick out you as rings? Food? Thank you very much?
- 51:57Speaker 1: I was wondering if you were gonna ask that question. Yes,
- 52:00Speaker 1: picked mine out, you already knew, well, not for me.
- 52:04Speaker 1: We went shopping and I told him the style that
- 52:07Speaker 1: I didn't know which exact ring I was gonna get,
- 52:09Speaker 1: but he did good. It's the ring, yeah, and then
- 52:18Speaker 1: y'all buy us me and just the raggediest ring ever.
- 52:21Speaker 1: It just is not true. It looked like it looked
- 52:25Speaker 1: like a washer from home deposting. All right, well, coming
- 52:31Speaker 1: up the Live Strawberry Letter with Love and hunts Love
- 52:34Speaker 1: and Marriage Huntsville Martel hote right after this. Whoa, you're
- 52:40Speaker 1: listening to the Steve Morning Show. All right, so here
- 52:45Speaker 1: we go. Uh, this is the Strawberry Letter. It is
- 52:48Speaker 1: live today. We haven't done a live Strawberry Letter in
- 52:52Speaker 1: quite sometimes years. It's been a long time. Right, Well,
- 52:58Speaker 1: today we have a special guest. I'm sure you guys
- 53:02Speaker 1: have seen the own series Love and Marriage Huntsville. Love
- 53:05Speaker 1: and Marriage Huntsville from that show is one of the stars,
- 53:09Speaker 1: mister Martell Holt will be joining us today. Now, Steve,
- 53:14Speaker 1: let's clear something up. Okay, Martell reached out to us.
- 53:18Speaker 1: We did not go to find Martelle. Martell reached out
- 53:21Speaker 1: to us. Uh. He said, he's sincerely seeking advice now.
- 53:26Speaker 1: He is attempting to move forward with his life. Um,
- 53:30Speaker 1: and he knows that we encourage him to tell his truth.
- 53:34Speaker 1: Let me give you a little background about Love and
- 53:36Speaker 1: Marriage Huntsville. It is a reality show. Like I said,
- 53:39Speaker 1: let me, I've never seen this show. I know I
- 53:45Speaker 1: love yea, you know it's the number one show. One
- 53:50Speaker 1: gonna say that Martell is the number one show on
- 53:53Speaker 1: own everybody watching. Wait wait wait, hold Ontel, it's the
- 54:00Speaker 1: number one show. Brother, It's okay, okay, oh yeah, I
- 54:04Speaker 1: think I think Ready to Love is the number one.
- 54:07Speaker 1: So much thanks. There's two different things go ahead, Sharon
- 54:14Speaker 1: Love and Marriage. Huntsville is uh this show that seemed
- 54:18Speaker 1: to come out of nowhere, out of Huntsville, Alabama. It's
- 54:21Speaker 1: about these three very prosperous uh black couples entrepreneurial estate.
- 54:27Speaker 1: Hey yeah, their real estate, their development. Um. Anyway, they're
- 54:32Speaker 1: in Huntsville, Alabama, and they have a group company name
- 54:35Speaker 1: called the Comeback Group. That's how it started, and that's
- 54:38Speaker 1: what you thought you were going to see, you know,
- 54:40Speaker 1: how they navigate through their businesses and their marriages. But
- 54:44Speaker 1: what what came out of that was the marriage between
- 54:49Speaker 1: Martel and Melody Holt and the dynamic of their marriage
- 54:53Speaker 1: and what they were going through. Comes to find come
- 54:55Speaker 1: to find out, there was a lot going on that
- 54:58Speaker 1: we didn't even know about. First. See this beautiful couple,
- 55:01Speaker 1: I mean beautiful Melody Holte is stunning a stunningly gorgeous woman.
- 55:07Speaker 1: They were married, four children, three children. At first step,
- 55:11Speaker 1: they had some problems, she heard he was cheating. They
- 55:14Speaker 1: worked through it, and then she got pregnant. They got
- 55:18Speaker 1: pregnant again with a fourth child. So that's kind of
- 55:21Speaker 1: how it was. Then after that there were more rumors
- 55:25Speaker 1: of cheating, more rumors of cheating, and uh, well it
- 55:30Speaker 1: didn't end so well so far, mart They ended up
- 55:33Speaker 1: in divorce court. It's just a mess. Okay. It is
- 55:37Speaker 1: just really, really really at this point a mess. And
- 55:41Speaker 1: you know, people like mess. So that's why we watched
- 55:45Speaker 1: the show. That's why everybody is so into love and
- 55:48Speaker 1: marriage Huntsville on the own network. So again, Martel reached
- 55:52Speaker 1: out to us because you know, he is getting bashed
- 55:56Speaker 1: and you know, some people say deservedly so because he cheated.
- 56:01Speaker 1: He had a beautiful family and he cheated and lost
- 56:04Speaker 1: his family. So now he wants advice. I'm assuming Martel,
- 56:08Speaker 1: you're you're you want to move forward and try to
- 56:12Speaker 1: you know, uh, go on with your life. Basically, is
- 56:16Speaker 1: that why you're here? Um? Definitely, so, Um, I would
- 56:20Speaker 1: definitely say that being a husband, I'm sorry being a husband,
- 56:25Speaker 1: and you know I'm not gonna say, not having a
- 56:27Speaker 1: father figure or I'm not having a black role model, um,
- 56:32Speaker 1: not having that as an excuse. But you know, I
- 56:34Speaker 1: was really like learning like trial and error as I
- 56:36Speaker 1: was going. You know, uncle, he's married for like twelve
- 56:39Speaker 1: thirteen years, and you know we had a lot of
- 56:42Speaker 1: up the downs and great times and not so great times,
- 56:45Speaker 1: and but you know I failed. Um, And you know
- 56:49Speaker 1: that's why I'm here because for my future I want
- 56:53Speaker 1: to be better here at point playing. You know, I
- 56:56Speaker 1: don't want to continue to do the things that I've
- 56:57Speaker 1: done in the path. Okay, Can I ask a question
- 56:59Speaker 1: because I don't know the answer to. So, are you divorced?
- 57:03Speaker 1: Are you married? Is it over? Are you trying to reconcile? Yeah? Um,
- 57:08Speaker 1: well no, um we um, the divorce is final. I
- 57:12Speaker 1: mean it was final as about a month ago. Okay.
- 57:15Speaker 1: But it's life after marriage or life after a divorce,
- 57:19Speaker 1: you know. Yeah, well yeah I do know. So why
- 57:24Speaker 1: I know as well? You call the right man trying
- 57:30Speaker 1: to figure out how to do it again. I think
- 57:35Speaker 1: marriage is a beautiful thing. It really is. I enjoyed
- 57:37Speaker 1: being married, um, and just some things that happen up
- 57:40Speaker 1: and I guess I just really I dropped the ball,
- 57:43Speaker 1: I really Okay, okay, so let me ask you, so,
- 57:45Speaker 1: when you say you dropped the ball, tell me where
- 57:47Speaker 1: you where you think you would run thinking that I
- 57:51Speaker 1: deserve more. Well, I'm not gonna say that. I think
- 57:55Speaker 1: I was being greedy. I think I was being greedy,
- 57:58Speaker 1: you know, and at times, you know, I would definitely
- 58:00Speaker 1: that I was saying that my wife wasn't doing certain
- 58:03Speaker 1: things within the relationship. Um, but I guess I should
- 58:06Speaker 1: have communicated that in a different way. I'm opposed to
- 58:10Speaker 1: stepping out, you know. Okay, yeah, okay, Well, we're not
- 58:13Speaker 1: gonna do is. We're just gonna tell your truth. We're
- 58:16Speaker 1: gonna leave your ex wife. We're not gonna We're not
- 58:18Speaker 1: gonna bash or blame. Oh no, no, no, no, no, no,
- 58:22Speaker 1: that's not at all, not at all. I was just
- 58:25Speaker 1: saying how I messed up, how I should have handled
- 58:27Speaker 1: it in a different way. Yeah. So no, no, no,
- 58:30Speaker 1: no bashing, no negative to anything of that nature. I'm
- 58:33Speaker 1: looking kind I kind of felt that from me. But
- 58:36Speaker 1: there was a lot of that though, Steve, which is
- 58:38Speaker 1: why I said it on the show. A lot there
- 58:41Speaker 1: was a lot of that. What he did, he didn't
- 58:43Speaker 1: do it just now. I ain't seen the show, so
- 58:46Speaker 1: let me let me, let me keep saying, that's how
- 58:49Speaker 1: the women, that's how the women come at me, just
- 58:51Speaker 1: like she just did. That's how that's how they come
- 58:54Speaker 1: at me. And that's father dog. Yeah, Hey, that's you.
- 59:00Speaker 1: Is living this one down, gonna be But Martell, you're here.
- 59:05Speaker 1: You wanted to come, We allowed you to come. We
- 59:07Speaker 1: welcome you to the show, and we do want you
- 59:09Speaker 1: to tell your side of it. We welcome Melody to
- 59:12Speaker 1: do the same thing if she would like to. Well,
- 59:14Speaker 1: well we come back. Yeah. I have a couple of
- 59:17Speaker 1: questions that you can answer for me, and then we'll
- 59:19Speaker 1: go from there. Our special guest today is Martell Holte
- 59:24Speaker 1: from uh Love and Marriage Huntsville on the own channel,
- 59:28Speaker 1: Straight Up A last sixty five. We'll be back right
- 59:34Speaker 1: after that. You're listening to Steven Show. All right, Steve,
- 59:40Speaker 1: we are back with our live Strawberry Letter. Like we
- 59:43Speaker 1: said earlier, the first one we've done in many, many years.
- 59:46Speaker 1: Our special guest today is Martell Holt from the own networks,
- 59:50Speaker 1: Love and Marriage Huntsville. We can recap, So, do you
- 59:54Speaker 1: have an idea of kind of what's going on? Now, Steve,
- 59:56Speaker 1: I know you said you haven't watched the show. I
- 59:58Speaker 1: haven't watched your show, but just brothers on here. He
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: had a family, He lost his family because he uh cheating?
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: Well yeah he didn't. He didn't know how to, how to,
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: how to, how to how to do it and he
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: said in his own words, he was just greedy and
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: uh so it caused it the minds of his family.
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: What I just pulled a picture and looked up beautiful family.
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: And so the divorce is final now, so let me
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: ask you this mantel, If you could do anything differently,
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: what would you have done? The fuck could have done
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: anything differently? What would have done? Um? I think the
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: communication with my wife, Um, I think just like like
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: what she mentioned to me, what I should have done it.
- 1:00:50Speaker 1: I should have literally grabbed her and set her down
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: and had that adult conversation. Opposed to the things that
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: I was complaining about. I would just complain lea, you know,
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: opposed to really saying, hey, listen, we have an issue.
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: Let's sit down, let's talk about it. Because it's making
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: me feel a certain way that's not wasn't be pleasant
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: for our our marriage. So like what she mentioned, I
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: should better communication. Okay, Now let me ask you something.
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: Were you while you were asked having these verbal complaints?
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: Was there anything you was doing that deserved a complaint? Well?
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: She she wasn't complaining about about too much. You know,
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: we we had children, um where we have children, and
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: you know a lot of the times I was like
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: the more dumb at parent. You know it. Well, well, no,
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: it wasn't anything that she was complaining about. It wasn't
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: well dog was it was? No? No? No, was it?
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: She wasn't complaining because she didn't know everything? Right? Um,
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: I'm not sure. I mean she we didn't have to
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: have her on the phone for that because well, let
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: me did you did? Was you hiding the cheating part?
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: Pretty good? And for how long? It? Yeah? I was
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: when I was complaining. When I started to complain, that's
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: around the same time that I stepped out. When I
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: started to complain certain things then wasn't a justice so
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: ain't I wanted it? Which was selfish? Um, this when
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: I stepped out, and you know, it went on for
- 1:02:29Speaker 1: about a year before she found out. Went on for
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: a year. Now, let me ask yourself, do you think
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: in your mind that the stepping out also brought about
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: the demise of the relationship. I would definitely say so,
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: because that probably took something out of me that could
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: have been going towards my wife and I was situating
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: over here to someone else. So I totally agree with that.
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: And there was a baby involved. Steve, What you mean
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: he has a baby with this other woman? Huh yes, yeah,
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: yeah about you know, five years on down the line. Yeah, women, dog,
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: what what I mean? You don't watch the show the
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: whole baby with this other woman? Yeah? You the other
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: woman got pregnant, she did. I mean this is when
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: we um said that we was going to get divorced
- 1:03:29Speaker 1: and all that type stuff. So, um, it's not like
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: it happened early on, but it happened. Um. Well, hold on, now,
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: hold on, now, hold on, because after she found out
- 1:03:42Speaker 1: she was cheating. How long were you all married after
- 1:03:46Speaker 1: she found out? Um, five years. It took her five
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: years to find out. No, no, no, no, she found
- 1:03:55Speaker 1: out five years ago. Oh okay, so she's stay with
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: you after she found out she was cheating. Yeah, okay,
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: but okay, how old how old is the baby? The
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: new baby? I'm newborn. It was born around Christmas right
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: this Christmas now it's a newborn. We we can't undo
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: none of it is. So I'm just trying to get
- 1:04:24Speaker 1: the facts. Okay, Okay, so I just leave it long.
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: You got a new born, but you have how many
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: children with your wife? The woman you were married? You
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: got four kids? How close in age is the last two? See? Um? Well,
- 1:04:39Speaker 1: Malia Melanne she is once they wanted to have and
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: my third m five, So it's like a four year difference.
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: She found out five years ago. So he hasn't well
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: before we I want us to say this to Steve
- 1:05:04Speaker 1: before we do run out of time. Martell did come
- 1:05:07Speaker 1: on here to get some advice from No, that's what
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: we're gonna do. That's why we go. This is longer
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: than two Strawberry Letters. It is. We find to carry
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: this over to break number three because I do what
- 1:05:18Speaker 1: I do. I don't want to. I do want to
- 1:05:20Speaker 1: hear the soldier out, Yeah, because look I've been there,
- 1:05:23Speaker 1: and then you know, men can quit tripping. Every man,
- 1:05:26Speaker 1: every man, not this story. Stop acting, stop acting brand
- 1:05:33Speaker 1: new every man, not this story. All right, Hold up,
- 1:05:37Speaker 1: hold up, Steve, We'll have part three of the Strawberry
- 1:05:40Speaker 1: Letter with our special guest this live Strawberry Letter with
- 1:05:43Speaker 1: Martell Hope of Martell Holt from a Love and Marriage Huntsville.
- 1:05:48Speaker 1: We'll be back at forty six minutes after the hour.
- 1:05:50Speaker 1: Right after this, you're listening to show. All right, here
- 1:05:55Speaker 1: we are Steve Live with Martell Holt from Owen's Love
- 1:05:59Speaker 1: and Marriage Huntsville. Now he's come on the show for advice.
- 1:06:04Speaker 1: Now I had to get some background. Took me two
- 1:06:06Speaker 1: breaks to get the background. Martel was married to a woman.
- 1:06:10Speaker 1: They have a family together. Uh, he admittedly stepped out
- 1:06:14Speaker 1: and now found out there's another child involved, and the
- 1:06:17Speaker 1: divorces final, and so now here he is and and uh,
- 1:06:21Speaker 1: he's admitted that he did some things wrong. What I
- 1:06:24Speaker 1: learned myself was you can't fix in your house. You
- 1:06:27Speaker 1: can't fix what's wrong in your house outside your house. Man.
- 1:06:32Speaker 1: A lot of men go that route to be honest
- 1:06:35Speaker 1: with you. You know, there's something wrong, and they and
- 1:06:38Speaker 1: they started telling it to somebody and somebody to give
- 1:06:40Speaker 1: a listening. In next thing, you know, they're listening real good,
- 1:06:43Speaker 1: and they seem to be understanding. The next thing, you know,
- 1:06:46Speaker 1: you know, some some things jump off. So Martel, where
- 1:06:50Speaker 1: we're at right now? Man, what would you like to
- 1:06:52Speaker 1: accomplish with this phone call, you know. UM, So right now,
- 1:06:56Speaker 1: I guess I'm going through a tough time because we
- 1:06:58Speaker 1: do have our four children. Um. I divorced this. Um,
- 1:07:02Speaker 1: it's been over what about a month ago now, and
- 1:07:06Speaker 1: I guess I do want to move forward, um, But
- 1:07:11Speaker 1: I guess I need to know how do I move on?
- 1:07:14Speaker 1: Um in terms of like do I start to you know,
- 1:07:18Speaker 1: I'm not gonna say start dating someone now, but like, like,
- 1:07:21Speaker 1: what does the future look like? You've been doing that?
- 1:07:24Speaker 1: Don't say I don't worry about that, but let me
- 1:07:27Speaker 1: but see, let me say this, because I don't care
- 1:07:31Speaker 1: how a marriage go. At the end of the day,
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: the children had nothing to do with it. And every
- 1:07:37Speaker 1: man that has been found guilty of this, every last
- 1:07:43Speaker 1: one of us who have been guilty of this, have
- 1:07:46Speaker 1: had to grapple with the facts that we blew a family. Yeah,
- 1:07:51Speaker 1: we we messed up a family. Yeah. I'm balance with
- 1:07:54Speaker 1: right now soon yeah, man, because it's and it's and
- 1:07:57Speaker 1: it's hard man, because you know, in the words of
- 1:08:01Speaker 1: Tyrese in that song shame, what am I supposed to
- 1:08:06Speaker 1: tell these kids? See? That's that's the gripper and that's
- 1:08:11Speaker 1: where a lot of us, as men, we don't have
- 1:08:15Speaker 1: groups to help us through these moments like this. Okay,
- 1:08:18Speaker 1: he is seeing a therapist, Steve, by the way, a therapist. Yeah,
- 1:08:23Speaker 1: he's seeing a therapist. I have it's the therapist. Is
- 1:08:27Speaker 1: he divorced? No, No, We've been thinking about thirty time
- 1:08:31Speaker 1: years and and my thing is the reason I wanted
- 1:08:33Speaker 1: to speak with you, honestly, is because I feel that
- 1:08:36Speaker 1: you've been through some things, That's what I'm saying. And
- 1:08:40Speaker 1: you are like the best person to seek advice from
- 1:08:42Speaker 1: someone that has actually been through something I don't. And
- 1:08:44Speaker 1: I'm gonna talk to you. Don't go learn how to swim.
- 1:08:47Speaker 1: Somebody can't swim. All right, all right, we're gonna come
- 1:08:50Speaker 1: back more breaking number eight. All right, from Loving Marriage Huntsville.
- 1:09:00Speaker 1: After this, This is a Steve Harvey Morning Show. You're
- 1:09:03Speaker 1: listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, Our
- 1:09:08Speaker 1: special guest. This is a special live edition of the
- 1:09:12Speaker 1: Strawberry Letter for today. Our guest is Martell Holt. That's right,
- 1:09:16Speaker 1: I said, Martell Holt from Love and Marriage, Huntsville. On own.
- 1:09:22Speaker 1: Martell reached out to us. He is seeking advice from
- 1:09:25Speaker 1: Steve he wanted. He wants to move on. Now he
- 1:09:29Speaker 1: wants to move on, and it's nothing wrong with that,
- 1:09:32Speaker 1: because that is life. You have to move on, you know,
- 1:09:35Speaker 1: that's how we learn, We make mistakes, we move on. Steve,
- 1:09:38Speaker 1: now martell As informed me of what happened. He had
- 1:09:42Speaker 1: a marriage, had some things going wrong in it, he
- 1:09:45Speaker 1: didn't know how to handle it. He admittedly handled it
- 1:09:47Speaker 1: the wrong way. He lost his family, divorced his final
- 1:09:51Speaker 1: He has children and another child outside the marriage. And
- 1:09:55Speaker 1: today he's sitting here with face with what I know,
- 1:09:58Speaker 1: a lot of me and a face with you know,
- 1:10:01Speaker 1: I've had to look at it myself. And so what
- 1:10:04Speaker 1: I'm saying to you now, Martel, is if I were
- 1:10:07Speaker 1: you to move forward, because you are now your your
- 1:10:11Speaker 1: divorces is public. It's crazy. So now you know you're
- 1:10:16Speaker 1: getting ate up alive by by women. They're not trying
- 1:10:20Speaker 1: to hear you. But the one thing you could do, See,
- 1:10:24Speaker 1: the one thing men don't do is we don't do
- 1:10:27Speaker 1: closure right and sometimes man, closure is a very significant
- 1:10:33Speaker 1: thing for women, especially public because since your wife was
- 1:10:38Speaker 1: embarrassed publicly see see it's it's like it's like when
- 1:10:44Speaker 1: the newspaper make a mistake, and the rebuttal it'd be
- 1:10:48Speaker 1: front page mistake. But then the rebuttal being the classified
- 1:10:52Speaker 1: section in small print, we made a mistake. They don't
- 1:10:56Speaker 1: do that. So probably the beginning of helping your girl
- 1:11:00Speaker 1: and yourself and your kids is to publicly apologize to
- 1:11:06Speaker 1: her and admit you're wrong in it, so that she
- 1:11:10Speaker 1: can get some type of relief from what she's been
- 1:11:14Speaker 1: filling with publicly. You feel what I'm saying, I don't understand.
- 1:11:20Speaker 1: She's not gonna forgive him. That's not going to happen. Now,
- 1:11:24Speaker 1: don't worry about that. That ain't what you after. He
- 1:11:27Speaker 1: has to make her whole, not himself hole, and so
- 1:11:32Speaker 1: what he trying to do is find a way so
- 1:11:34Speaker 1: he can kind of put something together for this woman.
- 1:11:37Speaker 1: I think that would be an interesting way to go
- 1:11:39Speaker 1: about it, to publicly address this situation and put her
- 1:11:44Speaker 1: at ease, so she's not at fault for some of
- 1:11:47Speaker 1: the things you may have said publicly about her. It
- 1:11:51Speaker 1: was just probably you lashing out trying to cover and
- 1:11:54Speaker 1: all this here because I know man. Look man, when
- 1:11:56Speaker 1: when you know man, when we as men do wrong,
- 1:11:59Speaker 1: we just a fy wrong with telling the woman what
- 1:12:02Speaker 1: she did wrong that caused us to do wrong. And
- 1:12:06Speaker 1: that's what I've been doing for quite something. What'll listening
- 1:12:09Speaker 1: um see I seem schirltce. He's making in certain things
- 1:12:13Speaker 1: in terms of like I publicly said this and that.
- 1:12:15Speaker 1: So we started filming the show. I didn't want to
- 1:12:17Speaker 1: put our our business on TV. I didn't I didn't
- 1:12:21Speaker 1: want to publicly talk about but the show did. But
- 1:12:25Speaker 1: they did it. No, no one would have known anything.
- 1:12:28Speaker 1: And it was a surprise to me when she hit
- 1:12:30Speaker 1: me with it. It was on TV show. That was
- 1:12:32Speaker 1: the first letting right there. I tell people all the time,
- 1:12:35Speaker 1: if you want your marriage to not survive, put it
- 1:12:39Speaker 1: on TV. I think the beginning, No, Montel is the
- 1:12:43Speaker 1: public statement to make her whole again and not yourself.
- 1:12:48Speaker 1: That's the beginning because it provides an element of closure.
- 1:12:52Speaker 1: And then after that that is a little bit of
- 1:12:59Speaker 1: h friend that you have to endure. I did it, man,
- 1:13:03Speaker 1: I know, and and mine wasn't entirely my fault either.
- 1:13:08Speaker 1: I can tell you flat out. But in the court
- 1:13:12Speaker 1: of public opinion, it don't matter wrong doggy. In the
- 1:13:18Speaker 1: court of public opinion, it doesn't matter a victim Martell, No, no, no, no,
- 1:13:25Speaker 1: I'm just saying it just doesn't matter. I'm not saying
- 1:13:27Speaker 1: to be a victim. It just don't matter. A dude,
- 1:13:31Speaker 1: I don't give it, Dann what you say? You know.
- 1:13:34Speaker 1: So it's gonna be a level of suffering that you
- 1:13:37Speaker 1: have to endure because of the pain that was inflicted.
- 1:13:41Speaker 1: Hang on, Martell, Okay, we gotta take a quick break here.
- 1:13:43Speaker 1: We'll be back with more of this Live Strawberry Letter
- 1:13:47Speaker 1: reality show right after this. You're listening to show. All right,
- 1:13:56Speaker 1: we're back with part five. It is part five of
- 1:13:59Speaker 1: our life str of our Live Strawberry Letter reality show
- 1:14:05Speaker 1: today with our special guests Martell Holt, who reached out
- 1:14:08Speaker 1: to us. He wanted some advice during the Strawberry Letter segment,
- 1:14:11Speaker 1: and that is what we do. We give advice, and
- 1:14:14Speaker 1: Martell is here seeking that and we're trying to do that.
- 1:14:18Speaker 1: And Carla during the break, he said, hold on one second.
- 1:14:22Speaker 1: But just he came on the show, he told me
- 1:14:24Speaker 1: a situation. His wife is divorced, yet outside relationships, there's
- 1:14:29Speaker 1: another baby involved. The divorce is finalized. He loves his wife,
- 1:14:34Speaker 1: he's not in love with her, and his whole thing
- 1:14:38Speaker 1: was what can I do to move forward. My first
- 1:14:41Speaker 1: suggestion is to provide this woman with some type of
- 1:14:44Speaker 1: closure what you publicly did to her and said to her.
- 1:14:48Speaker 1: The apology has to be at that same level. See
- 1:14:52Speaker 1: it kills me when people talk about me on the internet.
- 1:14:55Speaker 1: Then when I catch him somewhere, they want to say
- 1:14:57Speaker 1: I'm sorry in the dressing room. No, Joe, I ask
- 1:15:00Speaker 1: it on that same internet you was on when you
- 1:15:03Speaker 1: was talking to all that yak nil, when I got
- 1:15:05Speaker 1: up in your face, man to man, Now you now
- 1:15:07Speaker 1: you're down to something else. I'll break this too, Damn sure,
- 1:15:10Speaker 1: I think Martell. What's missing is you just did not
- 1:15:14Speaker 1: show any remorse. It didn't you broke her heart. But
- 1:15:19Speaker 1: the one thing that I never got from you was
- 1:15:21Speaker 1: that you were sorry, old down. We're gonna give you
- 1:15:24Speaker 1: a chance, Martell, to respond and to make it right,
- 1:15:29Speaker 1: try to make it right and apologizing all that. But
- 1:15:31Speaker 1: we got to take another break and we'll be back
- 1:15:34Speaker 1: with more of this Live Strawberry Letter reality show right
- 1:15:37Speaker 1: after this. You're listening to show. Hey, listen, y'all were back.
- 1:15:43Speaker 1: I'm taking this kind of fast. Martel Holt is on
- 1:15:46Speaker 1: the on the on the phone with us today on
- 1:15:49Speaker 1: the radio. His family's broken up. His wife is divorced too.
- 1:15:54Speaker 1: H he was unhappy he stepped out. There's another child involved,
- 1:15:59Speaker 1: carl It brought up an interesting point while we've been
- 1:16:01Speaker 1: talking about all of this is that the reason so
- 1:16:05Speaker 1: many women our Team Melody is because they kind of
- 1:16:07Speaker 1: watched you break up on television with some of the
- 1:16:12Speaker 1: things you said, and Carlin said, you've never seen quite
- 1:16:17Speaker 1: remorseful about it innocence a way. How do you respond
- 1:16:20Speaker 1: to that motel? I am very I'm very sorry, and
- 1:16:25Speaker 1: you know, I didn't want to bring to some against
- 1:16:27Speaker 1: my family. You know, as many times that I prayed
- 1:16:31Speaker 1: on my knees and asked the Lord to really, for real,
- 1:16:34Speaker 1: like remove this same from me, you know, but it's
- 1:16:38Speaker 1: like I kind of fell for this person and it
- 1:16:43Speaker 1: just got out of hand, and now that we on
- 1:16:46Speaker 1: a reality show, it's like my backers against the wall.
- 1:16:49Speaker 1: And then I guess if you guys know about reality shows,
- 1:16:53Speaker 1: they get to run the narrative the way they want
- 1:16:55Speaker 1: to run it. You know, it's a lot of things
- 1:16:57Speaker 1: that y'all women are saying on this TV show that
- 1:17:00Speaker 1: I really would not do in real life. You know
- 1:17:03Speaker 1: that editing is very serious. I tell you that that
- 1:17:06Speaker 1: editing is very serious. And um, you know, I've been
- 1:17:10Speaker 1: very apologetic to my wife. But but but you can't
- 1:17:15Speaker 1: control you can't control who you are on that show
- 1:17:20Speaker 1: because they're there, there's there's there has to be a
- 1:17:23Speaker 1: way that you can control who you are. They can't
- 1:17:26Speaker 1: make the Martell be be the Martell they want it
- 1:17:29Speaker 1: to be just because they want ratings. You have to
- 1:17:31Speaker 1: be able to control the Martell that you want, the
- 1:17:35Speaker 1: Martell that's portrayed out there. That sounds really good, that
- 1:17:40Speaker 1: sounds really good. But when they put you in, when
- 1:17:42Speaker 1: you want to meet five different people that you really
- 1:17:44Speaker 1: would not meet in real life, that makes you feel
- 1:17:48Speaker 1: some type of way. I'm up here meeting people telling
- 1:17:50Speaker 1: them about my relationship that I normally wouldn't do. What
- 1:17:53Speaker 1: I'm chare the producers that I'm not gonna meet today.
- 1:17:56Speaker 1: Oh that's my job. And but but I think what
- 1:18:00Speaker 1: Tommy is saying this this Martel, I think you said
- 1:18:04Speaker 1: some things that they didn't have to really embellish just
- 1:18:08Speaker 1: play it. Yeah. And you know, sometimes man, when we
- 1:18:11Speaker 1: in front of people, we flex a little bit, right,
- 1:18:14Speaker 1: And I think to my understanding is it was a
- 1:18:17Speaker 1: lot of flexing on the show because you know, when
- 1:18:20Speaker 1: the camera's on, you know, everybody want to appear in
- 1:18:22Speaker 1: their best light, and you appearing in your best light
- 1:18:25Speaker 1: put her in her worst light. Yeah, and that's and
- 1:18:30Speaker 1: and and and that has cost you a family. When
- 1:18:34Speaker 1: we come back, man, we're gonna talk about that, the
- 1:18:37Speaker 1: importance of the family. And after you apologize to her
- 1:18:41Speaker 1: publicly not privately, what I think, as Steve Harvey, you
- 1:18:46Speaker 1: should do to move forward. And I think we'll be
- 1:18:49Speaker 1: able to put some type of closure to the situation
- 1:18:52Speaker 1: when we come down like that. We'll be back with
- 1:18:56Speaker 1: our last break of the day with Martel Holte from
- 1:18:59Speaker 1: Loving Marriage Phil right after this. You're listening to this
- 1:19:04Speaker 1: morning show, all right, Steve, Here we are our last
- 1:19:07Speaker 1: break of the day. Our very special guest today from
- 1:19:10Speaker 1: Owen's Love and Marriage Huntsville has been Martel Holt, who
- 1:19:13Speaker 1: reached out to us. He wanted some advice during the
- 1:19:16Speaker 1: Strawberry Letter. And that's what we were, you know, here
- 1:19:20Speaker 1: trying to do because I you know, believe in redemption.
- 1:19:23Speaker 1: I mean, we would tell the same person who wrote
- 1:19:25Speaker 1: in with these same issues, you know, about redemption and
- 1:19:30Speaker 1: forgiveness and things like that. And public apologies, like you said,
- 1:19:34Speaker 1: So that's what we're here for. You know, ahead, listen,
- 1:19:38Speaker 1: you know, just to recap it. His brother called in.
- 1:19:42Speaker 1: He made some mistakes in his marriage. He knows that
- 1:19:44Speaker 1: he stepped outside. He's lost his family. He wants to
- 1:19:48Speaker 1: move forward as another child involved. And we've been talking.
- 1:19:51Speaker 1: And one of the things that I know that men
- 1:19:53Speaker 1: are not good at is we're not good at closure. Now,
- 1:19:57Speaker 1: the thing about this brother is it's a lot of
- 1:20:00Speaker 1: me and out here that are him. A lot of
- 1:20:03Speaker 1: me and out here can know exactly where he coming from.
- 1:20:06Speaker 1: Let's stop all this we righteous. Damn oh man, I
- 1:20:09Speaker 1: can't believe you did that. Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
- 1:20:12Speaker 1: yeah Okay. And this is a story that's played out
- 1:20:16Speaker 1: in a lot of places. This has played out all
- 1:20:18Speaker 1: over the country, all over the world, all of the time.
- 1:20:22Speaker 1: And it ain't just this. The days have changed. Its
- 1:20:25Speaker 1: women doing the exact same thing. Now, you know, it's
- 1:20:28Speaker 1: just I will be truthful with you. Women are way
- 1:20:31Speaker 1: better at better. So now, Martell, as I talk to
- 1:20:37Speaker 1: you about apologizing, you thought that would be a good
- 1:20:40Speaker 1: move to do publicly, for her, to give her some closure,
- 1:20:44Speaker 1: because you know what was done publicly can only be
- 1:20:48Speaker 1: undone publicly. You know you're not gonna get your family back,
- 1:20:51Speaker 1: and not in love anymore, but you do love her.
- 1:20:53Speaker 1: I saw a picture of your family and beautiful family.
- 1:20:56Speaker 1: So now moving forward, Man, here's what we have to
- 1:21:00Speaker 1: do as men. Even though we make a mistake and
- 1:21:04Speaker 1: we cost ourselves the family struction, we cannot crumble the
- 1:21:09Speaker 1: fiber of the family because them kids ain't got nothing
- 1:21:14Speaker 1: to do with this, and and and and and kids
- 1:21:17Speaker 1: are affected by divorce. They are affected. And so what
- 1:21:24Speaker 1: they have to know at the end of this Martel,
- 1:21:26Speaker 1: from my standpoint, is they have to know that they
- 1:21:29Speaker 1: daddy loved them more than he loves anything else. Your
- 1:21:33Speaker 1: children have to know that you love them more soul
- 1:21:38Speaker 1: than you love anything else you've ever done. And soul
- 1:21:42Speaker 1: it becomes a part of if you and the wife
- 1:21:47Speaker 1: can be cool enough to sit in front of the
- 1:21:51Speaker 1: children and show a unified front. I don't know where
- 1:21:54Speaker 1: y'all at with that. I don't know if that's doable.
- 1:21:57Speaker 1: I don't know if the hurt is too much right now,
- 1:21:59Speaker 1: because sometimes take time. And like Bishop Jakes told me,
- 1:22:02Speaker 1: he said, man, you can't just say I'm sorry and
- 1:22:04Speaker 1: expect to walk back in at a mall and it's
- 1:22:06Speaker 1: all good, right, he said, That's not how this works.
- 1:22:10Speaker 1: That's how it used to be, right, yeah, right, because
- 1:22:13Speaker 1: somebody got injured. Yeah, you know, and even though they
- 1:22:17Speaker 1: put a bandage on it, deeply, the pain is still there.
- 1:22:21Speaker 1: So I'm assuming mar tell you call because you I mean, look, man,
- 1:22:26Speaker 1: obviously you love your family, your kids most definitely, definitely,
- 1:22:30Speaker 1: and so we gotta we gotta get in that man
- 1:22:33Speaker 1: and produce. Do you what you're saying Step one, Steve
- 1:22:38Speaker 1: is to publicly apologize on his road to redemption and
- 1:22:44Speaker 1: getting you know, moving forward with his life. You're saying
- 1:22:47Speaker 1: step one is to publicly apologize. See, the large press
- 1:22:52Speaker 1: is forgive us our trust passes as we forgive those
- 1:22:55Speaker 1: who trust pass against us. You can't expect God to
- 1:22:59Speaker 1: show you Grayson mercy if you don't exhibit Grayson mercy. Yeah,
- 1:23:03Speaker 1: because you know what I mean. That was one of
- 1:23:05Speaker 1: the things that upset the women so much, is that
- 1:23:07Speaker 1: the arrogance that you had. It seemed like you were
- 1:23:10Speaker 1: just so arrogant about it and you know just what, yeah,
- 1:23:14Speaker 1: I did. It is what it is. You kept lying
- 1:23:16Speaker 1: about it and and all of that and that's what
- 1:23:19Speaker 1: infuriated us. You were so arrogant. So now, yeah, because
- 1:23:22Speaker 1: at the beginning, I didn't want everybody. I didn't want
- 1:23:24Speaker 1: the whole country in my business first off, you know,
- 1:23:26Speaker 1: because it wasn't no no, no, I mean, it wasn't
- 1:23:30Speaker 1: a plan of Marteille to put my because I knew
- 1:23:34Speaker 1: what was gonna happen if it got out, so I
- 1:23:36Speaker 1: didn't want it to be out. So yeah, I'm gonna
- 1:23:38Speaker 1: lie at first. I'm like, no, I wasn't cheating. I
- 1:23:40Speaker 1: don't want everybody to know it. She knew and I knew,
- 1:23:43Speaker 1: And to me, that should have been it. It should
- 1:23:45Speaker 1: have been brought to you guy, It should have been
- 1:23:48Speaker 1: brought to the world, you know, because I knew it
- 1:23:51Speaker 1: was gonna happen, So I was, Yeah, I was lying
- 1:23:54Speaker 1: about it before. Well, at least you're honest about that.
- 1:24:00Speaker 1: Listen to every man on this show and yeah, down
- 1:24:08Speaker 1: a couple of minutes left. So let's let's let's let
- 1:24:11Speaker 1: Martelle have the floor so he can publicly apologize. Go ahead, Martell, Okay, Um,
- 1:24:17Speaker 1: so to Melody, Um, the person I've been with over
- 1:24:21Speaker 1: fourteen years, Um, I grew up with you. Um, we've
- 1:24:25Speaker 1: accomplished a lot in life. We have four beautiful children,
- 1:24:28Speaker 1: and UM, you know, I wouldn't be the person that
- 1:24:31Speaker 1: I am, and I'm not talking about the negative things,
- 1:24:33Speaker 1: but I wouldn't be the person man without you. UM.
- 1:24:37Speaker 1: I do love you. I love what we stood for,
- 1:24:40Speaker 1: and it's my my deepest hope that we can you know,
- 1:24:45Speaker 1: UM co parent together. Accomplished that and make sure that
- 1:24:48Speaker 1: we raise our children, UM in the same way that
- 1:24:51Speaker 1: we wanted to raise them when we're together. So I
- 1:24:54Speaker 1: just want to know that I am sorry to have
- 1:24:56Speaker 1: put you through this, my children, through this, our families
- 1:25:00Speaker 1: through this. I mean it hurts me, but I know
- 1:25:03Speaker 1: it hurts you just as much as it hurts me.
- 1:25:05Speaker 1: And I'm sorry, Melody for everything that I've done, everything,
- 1:25:10Speaker 1: But I thank you for the opportunities that you gave me.
- 1:25:13Speaker 1: He gave me plenty of chances to get it right.
- 1:25:15Speaker 1: God gave me plenty of chances to get it right.
- 1:25:18Speaker 1: I remember us talking about things UM in terms of
- 1:25:22Speaker 1: manly God blessing us and showing us favor, and then
- 1:25:25Speaker 1: every time I step out, we lose that favor. And
- 1:25:29Speaker 1: to you, I wish you the best in life, your
- 1:25:33Speaker 1: career and um talking about in my heart. I am sorry,
- 1:25:38Speaker 1: I am well, brother, I think I think it's sincere,
- 1:25:42Speaker 1: you know, um And one day man, one day man,
- 1:25:45Speaker 1: just all get better. So we thank you for joining
- 1:25:47Speaker 1: this Martell Home. Thank you, thank you. I appreciate you
