- 0:19Speaker 1: me true good at Steve has listening to move together
- 0:26Speaker 1: for Steve. Please by I don't join joined me to
- 0:51Speaker 1: be doing me. Have you gotta use turn be hurting
- 1:06Speaker 1: the You gotta turn to turn them out. Got to
- 1:44Speaker 1: turn out, turn the water the water. Come come on
- 1:58Speaker 1: your back at it. Huh. I shall will a good
- 2:03Speaker 1: morning everybody. You're listening to the voice, Come on, dig
- 2:08Speaker 1: me now, one and only Steve Harvey. I got a
- 2:11Speaker 1: radio show him just trying to give God some back,
- 2:17Speaker 1: just some back of what even gave me, just a portion,
- 2:21Speaker 1: you know. Just I'm just trying, man to to show
- 2:26Speaker 1: some type of gratitude for all his blessings. I'm just
- 2:30Speaker 1: trying to man, just just get it right sometimes, you
- 2:36Speaker 1: know what I mean. I mean, man, you just can't
- 2:38Speaker 1: do what you want to do and just live wrong
- 2:40Speaker 1: all the time. Man, you got it at one point
- 2:42Speaker 1: in time, Steve, come home. Man, come on, man, you
- 2:45Speaker 1: could do better. I know you can, you know saying
- 2:49Speaker 1: and you know what I had to do I had
- 2:50Speaker 1: to stop saying I'm gonna try to do better, and
- 2:53Speaker 1: I just had to say, hey, man, I'm going to
- 2:55Speaker 1: do better. You know, trying it's just to put forth
- 2:59Speaker 1: in that and then if it don't work, well, okay.
- 3:02Speaker 1: But if you make up in your mind that I'm
- 3:04Speaker 1: going to do something, then trying isn't enough. It's getting
- 3:08Speaker 1: it done is the only thing that matters. See, it's
- 3:10Speaker 1: the difference between doing and trying. We're gonna try to
- 3:14Speaker 1: win the game, or we're gonna go out here to
- 3:16Speaker 1: win the game. Now, trying to win the game means
- 3:18Speaker 1: that you could lose. But when you got in your
- 3:21Speaker 1: mind made up, most athletes will tell you that they
- 3:24Speaker 1: go out there with the full intent and purpose of
- 3:27Speaker 1: winning and winning only see they don't put the second
- 3:31Speaker 1: place finish on the cover Sports Illustrated. Second place don't
- 3:34Speaker 1: get you there. You got to win. And now take
- 3:38Speaker 1: it out of the scope of athletics, but keep it
- 3:40Speaker 1: in that type of type of analogy in life. Man,
- 3:43Speaker 1: you just want to you want to win in life,
- 3:45Speaker 1: don't you. I mean, at the end of the day,
- 3:48Speaker 1: don't you want to be on the cover of Sports
- 3:49Speaker 1: Illustrated the life don't you want to be recognized for
- 3:53Speaker 1: your hard work. Don't you want, you know, to be
- 3:56Speaker 1: recognized within the bonus structure down at your job. Don't
- 3:59Speaker 1: you want to have your plaque up on the wall
- 4:02Speaker 1: down at your job. I mean most people do. Some
- 4:04Speaker 1: people could care less. Some people don't care about looking
- 4:07Speaker 1: good or being their best. And that's cool, But I
- 4:09Speaker 1: ain't talking to them though. I'm talking to you. I'm
- 4:11Speaker 1: talking to those of you who want to be the
- 4:14Speaker 1: best you can be. You know, people kill me when
- 4:17Speaker 1: they're getting mad at at people here and he Brown
- 4:20Speaker 1: knows and he hall up on an employee at them all. Man,
- 4:23Speaker 1: the dude doing his job to the best of his ability,
- 4:25Speaker 1: and he getting recognized for it? What they got to do?
- 4:27Speaker 1: It all that you're talking about because you ain't up there.
- 4:30Speaker 1: It's amazing, man, how people describe other people's success. He's
- 4:33Speaker 1: so lucky, lucky? Hey man, Don't they kind of get
- 4:37Speaker 1: you a little bit when people call you lucky when
- 4:40Speaker 1: let me tell you what luck really is, y'all. Luck
- 4:42Speaker 1: is when hard work bumps up into opportunity. Some people
- 4:46Speaker 1: call that luck. But hold on, let's think about this.
- 4:50Speaker 1: If you wasn't working hard an opportunity presented itself. What
- 4:54Speaker 1: would you call that? But see, when you've been working hard,
- 4:57Speaker 1: an opportunity presents itself and it bumps up into each other.
- 5:00Speaker 1: Now people want to call that luck. But hold up here,
- 5:03Speaker 1: go to part though to day, ain't paying no attention
- 5:04Speaker 1: to Yeah, that opportunity came by. But if you had
- 5:07Speaker 1: not been working hard and the hard work had not
- 5:10Speaker 1: ran up in the opportunity, what would you have? No, sir,
- 5:13Speaker 1: it's not luck, it's work. It is work, because as
- 5:16Speaker 1: a scripture that says, faith without works is dead. But
- 5:21Speaker 1: my mama was a Sunday school teacher. She taught me enough.
- 5:24Speaker 1: Though now I know different between right and wrong, just
- 5:26Speaker 1: like you do. You ain't gotta you know. Itcused me
- 5:30Speaker 1: when people write a strawberry letter? Am I wrong for this?
- 5:32Speaker 1: You know? Good? Well, look at let's read your letter?
- 5:35Speaker 1: Are you wrong for this? You know you're wrong? What
- 5:37Speaker 1: you don't need that's to be telling, you know? But
- 5:39Speaker 1: I'm gonna do this anyway. Well, e see, go ahead, though,
- 5:42Speaker 1: do what you want to do. But you know what, y'all,
- 5:45Speaker 1: here's the best advice I can give you. This is
- 5:47Speaker 1: what I really came to talk about. This morning. But
- 5:50Speaker 1: I got sidetrack because I listened get out of your
- 5:54Speaker 1: own way. So many of us are blocking our home blessings.
- 5:59Speaker 1: We just in our own way. We are in our
- 6:02Speaker 1: own way. And one of the most dangerous ways you
- 6:06Speaker 1: can get in your way is to do it your way,
- 6:10Speaker 1: to get it figured your way, and to lock in
- 6:13Speaker 1: on your way and just the way it's got to go.
- 6:15Speaker 1: Do you know how many people are blocking a blessing?
- 6:18Speaker 1: Do you know how long I blocked mine with that mindset?
- 6:22Speaker 1: Right there? Look, because it's the way you do it,
- 6:25Speaker 1: Do you think that makes it the right way? You
- 6:28Speaker 1: think jazz because you didn't thought on it long and hard,
- 6:30Speaker 1: and that's what you really want. Do you really think
- 6:33Speaker 1: that your way is the right way or could that
- 6:35Speaker 1: be a better way? See? Until I started listening to
- 6:38Speaker 1: God and started paying attention to his way, man, I
- 6:42Speaker 1: was spending my wheels. Man, I was out here so
- 6:45Speaker 1: determined this how I was going to do it. But
- 6:47Speaker 1: you know, I had to learn how to get out
- 6:49Speaker 1: of my own way because just because I could do
- 6:51Speaker 1: it my way didn't mean it was the right way.
- 6:55Speaker 1: I had to get out of my own way. Just
- 6:59Speaker 1: get out your way, man, Now, what what does that mean?
- 7:04Speaker 1: That means see set your goals, That means have your dreams.
- 7:12Speaker 1: That I'm saying, set your goals, man, I ain't saying
- 7:15Speaker 1: don't set goals. Listen to me. Set your goals. What
- 7:17Speaker 1: is it you want to happen? What is it you'd
- 7:19Speaker 1: like to have? What is it you like to be?
- 7:22Speaker 1: What are you aspire to? Set your goals and set
- 7:25Speaker 1: your dreams. Now, take your goals and your dreams to
- 7:30Speaker 1: God and ask God to show you how. Man, you
- 7:35Speaker 1: can save yourself a lot of pain. Listen to somebody
- 7:39Speaker 1: who did it his way for so long. And when
- 7:42Speaker 1: I finally got out of my way, out of my
- 7:45Speaker 1: own way. When you've heard old people say let go
- 7:48Speaker 1: and let God, you've heard them say that I didn't.
- 7:52Speaker 1: I didn't get it, but I got it. Now let
- 7:55Speaker 1: go and let God. And it's amazing little saying. Though
- 7:59Speaker 1: now you know you may not. I get it now.
- 8:00Speaker 1: It took me a bunch of years to get it too.
- 8:02Speaker 1: But when I took my goals and my dreams and
- 8:06Speaker 1: my vision to God and I said, God, this is
- 8:09Speaker 1: what I hope for, this is what I aspired to,
- 8:11Speaker 1: this is what I want to be. This is why
- 8:13Speaker 1: I would love to get to Then I said, help me,
- 8:17Speaker 1: show me how point me in the right direction. Let
- 8:21Speaker 1: me follow your footsteps, guide me and give me a
- 8:24Speaker 1: spirit of discernment. Show me who wrong? Because I meet
- 8:27Speaker 1: people every day. Ain't up to no good with me
- 8:30Speaker 1: every single day? Oh man, Man, I can't believe I
- 8:34Speaker 1: run up into you. Man, the Lord told me something's
- 8:37Speaker 1: gonna happen to me today. Well, see, I talked to
- 8:39Speaker 1: him every day. He did not mention you to me.
- 8:43Speaker 1: He ain't said nothing to me. He didn't tell me
- 8:45Speaker 1: what was gonna happen. In mind. Now, I don't mean
- 8:46Speaker 1: it can't happen because I'm open to it. So really, man,
- 8:50Speaker 1: I'm and and please no, I'm listening as well as
- 8:54Speaker 1: I've ever listened before. But but get yourself together, though,
- 8:58Speaker 1: see no, your goals and your dreams, and then let
- 9:00Speaker 1: God show you how to do it. He'll do it.
- 9:03Speaker 1: You know. It's so important everybody, that you get focused,
- 9:07Speaker 1: that you aim for something, that you dream of something,
- 9:10Speaker 1: that you aspire to something. But it's the most the
- 9:13Speaker 1: best thing you can do. After you do all that, Man,
- 9:16Speaker 1: get God involved in it. Man, talk to him. I mean,
- 9:19Speaker 1: why would you not what you got to lose. You
- 9:21Speaker 1: ain't got to go down there and make no big
- 9:23Speaker 1: scene and run laps around the church and run up
- 9:26Speaker 1: there and throw yourself on the altar and scream and
- 9:29Speaker 1: flip over and throw money in the air. You ain't
- 9:31Speaker 1: got to do that. This you and God, man, This
- 9:33Speaker 1: you and God. You know you got to serve and
- 9:36Speaker 1: praise him the way you do it. You gotta let
- 9:38Speaker 1: nobody else tell you highs done. It's a personal relationship.
- 9:42Speaker 1: People kill me if you don't do it this way.
- 9:43Speaker 1: If you don't come here to this church and you
- 9:45Speaker 1: don't run around in this circle and you don't get
- 9:47Speaker 1: flipped in the air, you don't, Hey, man, you better
- 9:49Speaker 1: go have a relationship with God. See what that's about.
- 9:51Speaker 1: You understand? Nobody throw you off with all that? All right,
- 9:54Speaker 1: all right, y'all talk to him. He loved to hear
- 9:56Speaker 1: from you. Today. You're listening morning show, ladies and gentlemen.

- 13:41Speaker 1: that at thirty two after the hour, right after this

- 13:56Speaker 1: to spend your Father's Day? Um? And Steve? What are
- 13:59Speaker 1: your father What are your Father's Days gifts? Duth and don't.
- 14:03Speaker 1: All right, my Father's Day will be at the mentoring
- 14:06Speaker 1: camp with the boys who don't have father. Okay, I
- 14:13Speaker 1: like that. And my kids sacrifice that day because they understand,
- 14:16Speaker 1: because they get me all year long, so they ain't
- 14:18Speaker 1: got no problem with it for Father's Day, just like
- 14:23Speaker 1: Father's Day. Now, what's your next question? Well, uh, oh,
- 14:28Speaker 1: go ahead. Tell me you have to come from my
- 14:29Speaker 1: father to another father. How do you handle your kids
- 14:32Speaker 1: taking you out to dinner? But then you got to
- 14:36Speaker 1: pay the dog gonna be how do you handle that?
- 14:38Speaker 1: Right there? I don't really Oh oh well your kids
- 14:43Speaker 1: are young, yeah, and they don't have jobs. They got
- 14:45Speaker 1: to get the money from you, so they're not really
- 14:48Speaker 1: taking you out to dinner. We're just going to eat that. Yeah,
- 14:51Speaker 1: you're just going to eat and it's your day. It'd
- 14:53Speaker 1: be bling room in the restaurant. Don't worry, Yeah, don't worry.
- 14:56Speaker 1: After you fake your death, Yeah, after you fake your death,
- 15:00Speaker 1: tell me y'all playing with us? Well, I mean I
- 15:06Speaker 1: wanted to be something for you. You get it. You
- 15:09Speaker 1: can go to any restaurant, get a tape. It's not
- 15:12Speaker 1: respected because you guys don't carry the children on that day.
- 15:21Speaker 1: We're bond every day coming. I have to say you're
- 15:24Speaker 1: a great father. I'm always really great father, little dude.
- 15:30Speaker 1: I'm just asking chi boy. I thought that some great bonding.
- 15:37Speaker 1: He get his seat, You get your when you come
- 15:41Speaker 1: to the house. I'm gonna just baptized, all right. So Steve,
- 15:46Speaker 1: what about this? I mean, you know we're talking about
- 15:49Speaker 1: your saying Father's Day doesn't get the respect to say
- 15:51Speaker 1: that Mother's Day gets it doesn't. But what about the gifts? What?
- 15:55Speaker 1: What are some dudes and don'ts as far as gifts
- 15:58Speaker 1: are concerned, do get him something he won't like? What? Okay?
- 16:02Speaker 1: Like like you you have? Okay, then what do you want? Okay?
- 16:07Speaker 1: So they can't get what I want? And what is that?
- 16:10Speaker 1: What is that? I like a new air plane? Okay? Okay,
- 16:16Speaker 1: all right, well you were right, you were right. So
- 16:18Speaker 1: now that they're not gonna get me what I want,
- 16:21Speaker 1: then you know what don't? But do you know it's
- 16:26Speaker 1: you know people look at you. I don't have everything. Yeah,
- 16:30Speaker 1: I don't don't have another time? Time? What's wrong with times?
- 16:38Speaker 1: I have plenty times? Okay? What about this? Socks and underwear?
- 16:44Speaker 1: Don't do that? Why? What's wrong with that? Because you
- 16:48Speaker 1: won't even know if I got along? But if you
- 16:51Speaker 1: need it? Yeah, why I got him? And still you
- 16:59Speaker 1: don't wear drop? Huh? New row? You're telling me? He
- 17:05Speaker 1: changes every day and then and then they wash it.
- 17:08Speaker 1: I don't think they watch draws over excuse me, junior.
- 17:11Speaker 1: Every day, every day you have new bed draws every day.
- 17:19Speaker 1: That boy got some money. This boy got some money. Okay, okay,
- 17:27Speaker 1: watch it. Hey, I don't have to have money to
- 17:30Speaker 1: change your draw new When you watched the load of clothes,
- 17:36Speaker 1: what what about? Have you watched a load of clothes?
- 17:47Speaker 1: When do you put the white till over here? The
- 17:50Speaker 1: dog colors over here? We're going on third three years
- 17:53Speaker 1: in this house. Yeah, I saw the line you room
- 18:00Speaker 1: three weeks ago, first time for the first door, and
- 18:06Speaker 1: was stud He were like, oh, this is nice. What
- 18:10Speaker 1: is this? Man? I've been going past that dough. I'd
- 18:13Speaker 1: have seen it, but I ain't know you he man, Seriously,
- 18:19Speaker 1: I haven't put a load of clothes in the washing machine.
- 18:24Speaker 1: My son washed something for me last year at the camp. Yeah,
- 18:29Speaker 1: you know how to wash you just had. I did.
- 18:32Speaker 1: But these new washing machines that can't throw you, I
- 18:35Speaker 1: don't know. I don't really look at it. I can't
- 18:37Speaker 1: really I could because I could read, so I could
- 18:40Speaker 1: figure it out, but I probably not gonna What else?
- 18:44Speaker 1: What else? Okay? What else do you want? Okay? You said,
- 18:47Speaker 1: don't get a tie, don't get sockswhere I like Cuban
- 18:51Speaker 1: cigars if you can illegally get them in for me
- 18:54Speaker 1: out of appreciate it the law. Okay, all right, that's
- 19:02Speaker 1: not gonna happen. Yeah. What about um like couplenks and
- 19:07Speaker 1: things like that? No, not in that go Well, you
- 19:10Speaker 1: know what, my daughter Lloyd bought me a cold blooded
- 19:13Speaker 1: pair of cuff links for I think my birthday. Okay,
- 19:18Speaker 1: all right, see that was nice. Father's Day is coming.
- 19:22Speaker 1: I probably won't even see I'll see two of my
- 19:25Speaker 1: sons on Father's Day. But that's I got it. What
- 19:28Speaker 1: about like um, because women like this, like a spa day,
- 19:33Speaker 1: like a day at the spot, I won't go a
- 19:35Speaker 1: little damn what girl? What you better send me? I
- 19:52Speaker 1: pay for your hotel room and fla. But not if
- 20:00Speaker 1: paying for it, he owed, he in comfort. We were

- 28:30Speaker 1: just well were they frieda? What weight you at right now?
- 28:42Speaker 1: One ninety two? That's exactly where your ass gonna be
- 28:45Speaker 1: when this season start coming up at the top of
- 28:50Speaker 1: the hour entertainment news right after this you're listening to show.
- 28:58Speaker 1: All right, guys, in today's trending entertainment news, referring to
- 29:01Speaker 1: someone as auntie with no relation is usually a term
- 29:05Speaker 1: of endearment, right well, Filmmaker Ava DuVernay does not see
- 29:10Speaker 1: it that way. When she sat down with Van Lathan
- 29:14Speaker 1: from TMZ everybody knows Van from TMZ Well anyway, he
- 29:18Speaker 1: has a podcast, Ava revealed that she finds it slightly shady.
- 29:23Speaker 1: She says, first of all, I have a real issue recently.
- 29:26Speaker 1: I've been getting called on Twitter Auntie Ava. Why why?
- 29:31Speaker 1: She said? Am I that old? Because I don't feel
- 29:34Speaker 1: that old? Van tried to explain that fans use the
- 29:38Speaker 1: term out of respect for what Ava brings to the culture.
- 29:41Speaker 1: While she can appreciate the concept, she wasn't having it naturally.
- 29:45Speaker 1: Social media weighed in and made Auntie a trending hashtag.
- 29:49Speaker 1: Ava joined in to let everyone know how she prefers
- 29:53Speaker 1: to be addressed. For the record, she says, she happily
- 29:56Speaker 1: responds to miss DuVernay, Queen Ava, missape Okay, that's Auntie
- 30:06Speaker 1: forget about no, no, no, no. So see if you
- 30:09Speaker 1: deal with this all the time, Marjorie gets called a Marjorie.
- 30:15Speaker 1: We're cool with it. That's you cool with it. Let
- 30:19Speaker 1: me step in right here. Uh okay, uncle comes from
- 30:23Speaker 1: a niece or a nephew blood. Okay, that's when you
- 30:27Speaker 1: say uncle or auntie. If it's not your uncle or
- 30:32Speaker 1: your auntie, then guess what. Guess what it's not yours?
- 30:37Speaker 1: You your own. I am about to say how you
- 30:41Speaker 1: feel like that? Because I call him Time. Ain't damn uncle, Steve, No,
- 30:48Speaker 1: he says time. Why where is your Uncle's the right?
- 30:52Speaker 1: Your uncle? Well right now, he over there, sit next you. No, No,

- 31:01Speaker 1: man uncles you got? This one right here? No, how many. Oh,
- 31:06Speaker 1: my real uncles, like my family, like your father by seven? Okay,
- 31:13Speaker 1: are you proud of any of them? Not reading? This
- 31:18Speaker 1: is the problem. Proud of this one I got sitting
- 31:22Speaker 1: over here. This is the problem. What's the problem? Everybody?
- 31:28Speaker 1: Dam uncle? Get your own uncle. Don't hold on, Timmy,
- 31:32Speaker 1: wait a minute, won't do Why is you so possessive?
- 31:36Speaker 1: Because this is my uncle. I'm the one that was
- 31:39Speaker 1: born with a rich ass uncle. And if you wasn't,
- 31:42Speaker 1: that's just that's just you just didn't get one. Okay,
- 31:46Speaker 1: but watch this though. Okay, no, no, no, that's a
- 31:49Speaker 1: person say that every time. But Snoop Dogg calls you uncle?
- 31:58Speaker 1: Problem with him? Everybody say that? What now? When when
- 32:03Speaker 1: I see Snoop? I will address this issue with what
- 32:07Speaker 1: is that? Because I'm gonna get man. I swear to God,
- 32:09Speaker 1: We're gonna be sitting right there. When I see Snoop,
- 32:13Speaker 1: I would let him know this is my uncle and
- 32:16Speaker 1: not you. Please Steve, mister Harvey, that's it. It ain't hey, uncle,
- 32:24Speaker 1: It ain't that, ok everybody. I'm telling everybody cross the country, right,
- 32:30Speaker 1: I think, get your own damn Steve belongs to the world.
- 32:34Speaker 1: Tommy he's no, no, no, I tell you what, Tommy,

- 32:42Speaker 1: Try And because the word I'm calling about this way, Julian,
- 32:46Speaker 1: I'm gonna say that I'm not being to try and
- 32:48Speaker 1: whoop the world. Ask okay, just this whoa? All right? Look, Uh,
- 32:56Speaker 1: we don't know what you just said, Tommy, But anyway,
- 32:59Speaker 1: I've been to try and we still don't know. And
- 33:04Speaker 1: it is time to go to headlines with miss Anne Steve.
- 33:06Speaker 1: Come on, gentlemen, miss when we are no, no, and
- 33:13Speaker 1: trip everybody. Okay, this is a trip with the news.
- 33:17Speaker 1: Thank you. President Trump arrived in Ireland yesterday, expressing his
- 33:21Speaker 1: respect for the Emerald Isles. This trip is really about
- 33:25Speaker 1: great relationships that we have with the UK, and I
- 33:29Speaker 1: really wanted to do this stop in Ireland. It was
- 33:32Speaker 1: very important in me because of the relationship I have
- 33:34Speaker 1: with the people and with your Prime Minister. And it
- 33:37Speaker 1: has like a golf resort there too. Today he's in
- 33:39Speaker 1: France because today is June sixth, that's right, internationally known
- 33:43Speaker 1: as D Day, or the day that the US, the British,
- 33:46Speaker 1: and the Canadian troops landed on the French coast at
- 33:48Speaker 1: Normandy in order to dislodge the Nazis from France, and
- 33:52Speaker 1: as Queen Elizabeth noted yesterday, the strategy won the day,
- 33:55Speaker 1: but was nevertheless very costly in terms of casualties. Seventy
- 34:00Speaker 1: years ago, hundreds of thousands of young soldiers, sailors, and
- 34:05Speaker 1: ammon left these shores in the cause of freedom. Many
- 34:10Speaker 1: of them would never return, and the heroism, courage, and
- 34:16Speaker 1: sacrifice of those who lost their lives will never be forgotten.
- 34:22Speaker 1: Many dignitaries will be in France and Normandy today, the
- 34:24Speaker 1: marked at seventy fifth anniversary. By some estimates, over four
- 34:28Speaker 1: thousand Allied troops were killed that day, another five thousand
- 34:31Speaker 1: or so left wounded. In Florida, judge says that a
- 34:34Speaker 1: sheriff's deputy now under arrest for not doing anything as
- 34:37Speaker 1: a gunman was shooting and killing students and faculty inside
- 34:40Speaker 1: of a Parkland High school last year. That guy's going
- 34:43Speaker 1: to remain in jail until he surrenders his passport. After
- 34:46Speaker 1: the shooting, Scott Peterson retired and moved from Florida to
- 34:49Speaker 1: North Carolina. Peterson faces eleven charges. If convicted on all
- 34:53Speaker 1: of them, he could face as much as one hundred
- 34:56Speaker 1: years behind bars. The US Supreme Court says it will
- 34:59Speaker 1: not consider the federal sentence given to a white now
- 35:02Speaker 1: former South Carolina cop who killed an unarmed black man
- 35:05Speaker 1: in twenty fifteen by shooting him several times in the back.
- 35:08Speaker 1: Michael Slager's lawyers appealed to the nation's highest court over
- 35:11Speaker 1: his twenty year prison sentence. Slager's a state trough of
- 35:14Speaker 1: murdering mister Walter Scott ended in a hung jury, and
- 35:17Speaker 1: Slager pled guilty to violating Scott's civil rights because he
- 35:20Speaker 1: was hoping to get a lesser sentence. However, a federal
- 35:23Speaker 1: judge sentence Slager based on the underlying charge of second
- 35:27Speaker 1: degree murder. Saga claims that's unfair. Well, the first jury
- 35:30Speaker 1: couldn't decide. Well, the High Court says, no, we're not
- 35:32Speaker 1: going to weigh in on that. That means the thirty
- 35:34Speaker 1: seven year old slayer will remain in prison until at
- 35:37Speaker 1: least the year twenty thirty four. The homeless problem in
- 35:41Speaker 1: Los Angeles growing. The results of the annual Homeless Council
- 35:44Speaker 1: that some fifty nine thousand people are living on the
- 35:46Speaker 1: streets of the city of Los Angeles. A twelve percent
- 35:48Speaker 1: jump from over last year and today is whatever days.
- 35:52Speaker 1: So sometimes sometimes you don't back to Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 36:01Speaker 1: You're listening to show, all right, Junior Golden State Warriors
- 36:07Speaker 1: and taking their beef with Drake to new levels? What
- 36:09Speaker 1: is going on where? You know Draking? Uh push your
- 36:13Speaker 1: t had a beef last year. You know, both we
- 36:16Speaker 1: going back and forth over dis tracks and everything. And
- 36:18Speaker 1: so the Golden State Warriors played Pushing T dis track
- 36:21Speaker 1: you know, the story of Edition in a pregame playlist
- 36:25Speaker 1: while warming up on the court last night in orc Arena,
- 36:27Speaker 1: which did not help them because Toronto took the game
- 36:31Speaker 1: one twenty three to one on nine. Now it's two
- 36:34Speaker 1: to one Toronto. Do anybody think it's over? No, no,
- 36:42Speaker 1: you can't. Never says over with them, now that's right.
- 36:48Speaker 1: And he dropped forty seven last night. Man, Yeah he
- 36:55Speaker 1: told everybody and Clay you know Leonard Lowary, you know
- 37:01Speaker 1: Leonard had thirty Lowry had twenty three. Now this is
- 37:04Speaker 1: giving them a lot of confidence. You need to know
- 37:07Speaker 1: that it does. Yeah, it does, but let's not be crazy.
- 37:11Speaker 1: I promise you, Durant and Clay is gonna be in
- 37:13Speaker 1: this game. Game folk on fray. I don't know, Junior.
- 37:17Speaker 1: It just seemed like Durant would have been back by
- 37:19Speaker 1: now it's his calf, right, it's his calf. Yeah, it
- 37:24Speaker 1: just seemed like he'd have been backed by nine dogs
- 37:26Speaker 1: on the real injury. Yeah, it just seemed like he'd
- 37:29Speaker 1: have been back. I mean, I know, you know, the
- 37:31Speaker 1: longer you you sit out, you know, you know you
- 37:33Speaker 1: can heal a little bit more. But I don't know
- 37:36Speaker 1: what time. It wasn't crucial at that time. This crucial.
- 37:39Speaker 1: They can't go down three one. Did Cousins A Cousins
- 37:43Speaker 1: played that? He played Yeah, yeah, yeah, but he hurt again,
- 37:48Speaker 1: Yes about his He need to trade his calf. That's
- 37:50Speaker 1: where you beat these boys. They're gonna have to stay.
- 37:52Speaker 1: Somebody gotta hurt, gotta be hurt. Golden State, man, if
- 37:55Speaker 1: they just get any one of them back, they're gonna
- 37:57Speaker 1: be They're gonna be formidable. You ain't gonna go on it.
- 38:00Speaker 1: You're not going there without a fight for game folk.
- 38:02Speaker 1: They're not just gonna hand you game folk. So who
- 38:06Speaker 1: you going for? Timing, Let me hear you. I'm going
- 38:09Speaker 1: for Toronto. They beat the Gold State beat the mess
- 38:12Speaker 1: out of my Rockets. I'm going for Toronto, me too.
- 38:15Speaker 1: You you kid for your rockets was not going to change,
- 38:19Speaker 1: but Golden State was gonna do. That's all right, I'm
- 38:21Speaker 1: pulling for Toronto. Let's go. I'm with Drake. Okay, okay,
- 38:25Speaker 1: well you ain't. You ain't heard Drake saying that. I mean,
- 38:28Speaker 1: I can't afford that the seat that Drake city in
- 38:30Speaker 1: because that that's the Yeah, that's something afford. Nah, you can't.
- 38:37Speaker 1: I know you. I don't don't believe that. How much
- 38:40Speaker 1: you think them seats call? They showed it the other day.
- 38:43Speaker 1: They got some seats that was twenty twenty thirty thousand
- 38:46Speaker 1: dollars down this You got that in your back pocket?
- 38:50Speaker 1: You can afford? Man? Do you know what that calls?
- 38:53Speaker 1: At my house? My wife spending that kind of twenty
- 38:56Speaker 1: thirty thousand? Boy, you keep that in your shell? No?
- 38:59Speaker 1: Damn well shut up? What shale high? All right? Listen?
- 39:10Speaker 1: Coming up next? Coming up next at thirty four after
- 39:14Speaker 1: the hour, more backlash, more fallout for a Central Park
- 39:18Speaker 1: five former prosecutor Linda Fairstein. She resigned from the board
- 39:21Speaker 1: of her alma mater right after this. You're listening to
- 39:25Speaker 1: the Steven show, all right, everyone's talking about the Netflix
- 39:30Speaker 1: series When They See Us, which tells the story of
- 39:32Speaker 1: Kevin Richardson, Raymond Santana, Antron McCray, Yusef Salam and Corey Wise.
- 39:40Speaker 1: Also known as the Central Park Five, The series by
- 39:43Speaker 1: filmmaker Aver DuVernay re examines the accusations, the false confessions,
- 39:48Speaker 1: and the aftermath of the case against the boys, who
- 39:51Speaker 1: were teenagers back then when they were accused of raping
- 39:54Speaker 1: a jogger in Central Park. Former prosecutor Linda Fairstein is
- 39:58Speaker 1: now facing a new round of backlash and criticism thanks
- 40:01Speaker 1: to the Netflix series. Linda Fairstein, who is played by
- 40:04Speaker 1: Felicity Huffman, is portrayed in the show as immediately convinced
- 40:10Speaker 1: of the boys guilt, despite no physical evidence linking them
- 40:14Speaker 1: to the scene and descriptions in their confessions that didn't
- 40:17Speaker 1: match the crime scene. After Mattea's Riez, a serial rapist,
- 40:22Speaker 1: confessed to the attack in two thousand and two and
- 40:25Speaker 1: DNA confirmed his account, the men were then exonerated. As
- 40:30Speaker 1: we mentioned, the backlash continues. Linda Fairstein has just resigned
- 40:35Speaker 1: as a member of the board of trustees at Vassar College,
- 40:39Speaker 1: and there is also an online push to boycott her
- 40:43Speaker 1: bestseller crime novels and her books. So there you go.
- 40:47Speaker 1: They're they're just I mean, you know, it's not a
- 40:50Speaker 1: lot they can do because they those boys, their men.
- 40:53Speaker 1: Now they can't get that time served back. But um,
- 40:56Speaker 1: you know, yeah, yeah, I gotta watch it. Yeah, it's
- 41:01Speaker 1: called when they see us. Yeah. Yeah, I didn't know
- 41:04Speaker 1: what it was. I saw the billboards and then I
- 41:07Speaker 1: saw and they pretty much excuse me, they pretty much
- 41:10Speaker 1: stuck to the facts. Oh yeah, but it's their life
- 41:15Speaker 1: after they get out that really disturbed. Yeah. Yeah, how
- 41:17Speaker 1: they had to be treated. Yeah, and they see the city, right,
- 41:20Speaker 1: and they got like forty one million dollars, Yeah, forty
- 41:24Speaker 1: one million million. Because the system looked at him as
- 41:27Speaker 1: if they were still guilty, and they would not admit
- 41:29Speaker 1: to them being guilty. Yeah, you know, I go to
- 41:32Speaker 1: the meeting like high, I'm a drug addict, I'm something. No,
- 41:35Speaker 1: they wouldn't need to I'm a rapist. They would not
- 41:36Speaker 1: admit to that. They would they would not. They didn't
- 41:39Speaker 1: do it. They called earth those confessions. Out of them,
- 41:43Speaker 1: those they said, only two out of the five boys
- 41:45Speaker 1: even knew each other. It was crazy. Yeah, these kids
- 41:49Speaker 1: didn't even know each other. They don't tape lying about
- 41:51Speaker 1: the other boys. But he couldn't even remember their name,
- 41:53Speaker 1: right right, Yeah, and Corey Wise we met him surely
- 41:57Speaker 1: at the Circle of Sisters at our home station one
- 42:01Speaker 1: or seven five in New York. I remember we had
- 42:04Speaker 1: a chance. Yeah, we had a chance to meet and
- 42:06Speaker 1: talk with him. Very very nice guy. And he was
- 42:09Speaker 1: very young. He he was one of the youngest ones.
- 42:12Speaker 1: They were like seventeen, really young. But yeah, Carl, I
- 42:17Speaker 1: had forgotten all about that until you mentioned it to
- 42:19Speaker 1: me that we have met him. I do remember that
- 42:22Speaker 1: young man, very very I mean, after all he's gone through.
- 42:25Speaker 1: He wasn't bitter or anything. And listened to the show Steve,
- 42:29Speaker 1: they do light this whole thing, man, Yeah, and it
- 42:33Speaker 1: wasn't Donald Trump. Didn't he have a lot to say
- 42:36Speaker 1: around that time he got a full page and yeah, yeah,
- 42:39Speaker 1: stopping I remember, yeah, you know, uh, there's part for
- 42:45Speaker 1: his cause those young men, um man. Sadly, it happens
- 42:50Speaker 1: to so many people falsely charged. I remember I was
- 42:55Speaker 1: fourteen fifteen. If you got shot in the hood where
- 42:59Speaker 1: we lived, and your parents or grandparents was around, and
- 43:03Speaker 1: they knew it was like not too deep in you,
- 43:06Speaker 1: like in your leg or back yond. They took it
- 43:08Speaker 1: out at home because they didn't want to take their
- 43:12Speaker 1: sons up to that hospital because you know, you got
- 43:14Speaker 1: to report any gunshot because prosecutors try to build cases
- 43:19Speaker 1: back in the day like they do now, and it
- 43:22Speaker 1: wasn't no forensic size. They would put cases on dudes.
- 43:26Speaker 1: Wow wow. So a lot of times, man, if you
- 43:29Speaker 1: got shot in the hood and it didn't look like
- 43:31Speaker 1: it was deep, they tried to get the bullet out
- 43:33Speaker 1: at the house instead of taking you up the end.
- 43:36Speaker 1: End did come to the police with that okay, duke
- 43:38Speaker 1: they was pulling. It was a lot of that. Man. Well,
- 43:42Speaker 1: when when you think about watching them, when you think
- 43:44Speaker 1: about watching it, oh, I'm gonna watch it because the
- 43:48Speaker 1: day you watch it, make sure you ain't got to
- 43:49Speaker 1: go nowhere, because if you see somebody, you won't get mad. Yeah.
- 43:55Speaker 1: But you know what I am. I am glad that
- 43:57Speaker 1: this story is finally made it to the man stream
- 44:00Speaker 1: of people where people can really get the truth behind
- 44:03Speaker 1: this story, because that was just a terrible just blotch
- 44:07Speaker 1: on this country. How they did those boys, you know,
- 44:11Speaker 1: not the first time, and I'm sure it won't be
- 44:13Speaker 1: the last, but it was really horrible how they retreated.
- 44:15Speaker 1: All right, nephew Tommy is up next with a prank
- 44:17Speaker 1: phone call as we switch gears. Right after this, you're
- 44:21Speaker 1: listening to show coming up at the top of the hour,
- 44:26Speaker 1: right about four minutes after. It's my strawberry letter for today,
- 44:29Speaker 1: the subject keeping it all in the family, Keeping it
- 44:33Speaker 1: all in the family. But right now the nephew is
- 44:35Speaker 1: here with today's prank phone call. What you got for
- 44:38Speaker 1: is enough? Well, Shirley, you know they have child day call.
- 44:42Speaker 1: You know they have child Will you drop your kids off?
- 44:44Speaker 1: You understand that, right of course, But they also have
- 44:48Speaker 1: adult daycam. Will you drop your parents out? And how's
- 44:53Speaker 1: this fun? Yeahtanding, yes, you there is the three too much? Well,
- 45:01Speaker 1: we're going to drop somebody. Mama, hold on, run a kid. Hello. Hello,
- 45:07Speaker 1: I'm trying to reach miss Sharon's. Please. Yes, this is Sharon.

- 45:46Speaker 1: you talking about? Being there? Where? Here? At the adult daycare?
- 45:52Speaker 1: Adult daycare? Where where's that? What are you talking? Okay?
- 45:57Speaker 1: You said your name is Evan, my name, My name
- 46:00Speaker 1: is Evan, yes, ma'am. And your daughter is Diane. Diane,
- 46:05Speaker 1: that's daughter. You know my daughters? Yes, Well she's the
- 46:08Speaker 1: one that has You're signed up. You're gonna be at
- 46:10Speaker 1: the adult daycare. So I'm assuming she's gonna be dropping
- 46:13Speaker 1: you off every morning, and I tell you talking about
- 46:15Speaker 1: Evan Evan, Hang on a second. All right, First of all,
- 46:18Speaker 1: I don't know who you are. You don't know who
- 46:20Speaker 1: I am. I don't know how the you know who
- 46:24Speaker 1: my daughter is? But this is this is really uh
- 46:28Speaker 1: inappropriate and weird. And what you're trying to get? What
- 46:32Speaker 1: do you what do you want? Do you want money
- 46:35Speaker 1: to me or you like a solicitor. No, no, no, no, ma'am. No, no, no,
- 46:39Speaker 1: not at ams, Sharon. No, your daughter has signed you
- 46:43Speaker 1: up to be here at the adult daycare during the day,
- 46:47Speaker 1: so she's going to I don't know what you're talking about.
- 46:50Speaker 1: There's no way she would do that adult day here.
- 46:53Speaker 1: What do I need to doult day care for? So what? Well,
- 46:56Speaker 1: evidently are you home alone most of the time during
- 46:59Speaker 1: the day. Who cares if I'm home alone? Who? Why
- 47:02Speaker 1: are you asking me that you're trying to break into
- 47:04Speaker 1: my house? No? You are, man, I don't know, Sharon. Okay, look,
- 47:12Speaker 1: I'm hooked up to that uh nine one month stuff.
- 47:15Speaker 1: Thanks like I could just do a panicle right now
- 47:19Speaker 1: and they'll trace this call and they will come to
- 47:22Speaker 1: you and arrest you because you're harassing me. No, no, no, no, okay,
- 47:27Speaker 1: miss Sharon, I'm not harassing you. Your daughter, Diane came
- 47:32Speaker 1: in and up. Yes, she signed you up for you
- 47:35Speaker 1: to go to this daycare Monday Friday. Why, she's at work,
- 47:39Speaker 1: so she's going to be dropping you off and then
- 47:42Speaker 1: she'll pick you up in the evenings on her way
- 47:44Speaker 1: home from work. I know where you got that from.
- 47:47Speaker 1: I don't know who told you that. Yeah, you got
- 47:49Speaker 1: my daughter's name. And this is really just freaking me out,
- 47:52Speaker 1: you know, a little bit over here, Ivan, because I
- 47:54Speaker 1: don't know why you know my name. He's on my
- 47:56Speaker 1: daughter's name. Ah. This is like the only reason I
- 48:00Speaker 1: know you all name, miss miss Sharon, is because she
- 48:03Speaker 1: came in and gave all the information and she has
- 48:06Speaker 1: paid for you to come to the adult daycare on
- 48:09Speaker 1: a daily by Yeah, yeah, yeah, hear ye hear what.

- 48:19Speaker 1: know who the hell you are, though, I don't know
- 48:21Speaker 1: what you're talking about. You know what I mean? Like,
- 48:23Speaker 1: I'm not going to know daycare center. I'm not going
- 48:26Speaker 1: with daycare center date because I'm fine. Just get that
- 48:31Speaker 1: through your head. There's nothing wrong with me. I stay home,
- 48:34Speaker 1: I got a dog, I walk the dog, I goree shopping,
- 48:39Speaker 1: my daughter comes over. Everything's fine. I don't get no
- 48:42Speaker 1: daycare center. Okay, Well, I understand what I'm saying that
- 48:45Speaker 1: there is there is there a reason why she would
- 48:47Speaker 1: sign you up, ma'am she must think. She must be
- 48:50Speaker 1: looking out for your your the best, you know your health.
- 48:53Speaker 1: Let me ask you, Let me ask you. Are you single?
- 48:56Speaker 1: What are you single? Are you married? What does that happen? Dude? Anybody?
- 49:01Speaker 1: I'm not coming to no date here center all right, Evan, Like,
- 49:04Speaker 1: if you want to come to my house and you
- 49:06Speaker 1: want to see how I live, you ten, I'm switching this.
- 49:11Speaker 1: I'm switching it up. Okay, I don't need to come
- 49:14Speaker 1: to your home. I'm more concerned about making sure you're
- 49:18Speaker 1: comfortable here at the adult day when you get here
- 49:20Speaker 1: on Monday. Yeah, I'm not coming there. That's it. I'm
- 49:24Speaker 1: not coming there because there's nothing wrong with me. I'm
- 49:25Speaker 1: not coming out of my house. But I'll pay you
- 49:28Speaker 1: what Evan? You I don't know. Like I like your voice.
- 49:33Speaker 1: I just like your voice. Miss way minute, mister? How old?
- 49:39Speaker 1: How old you m? I'm fifty fifty. Have you ever
- 49:44Speaker 1: been with an eighty nine year old lady? Wow? Wow? Nine?
- 49:50Speaker 1: And you sound really nice? That's all. Like, at first
- 49:54Speaker 1: I was scared of you. At first I wanted I'll
- 49:56Speaker 1: be honest, I was scared of you. And now I'm not. Like,
- 50:00Speaker 1: I don't know why I'm just not you know what
- 50:03Speaker 1: I mean? Like you just sound like yeah, I don't
- 50:07Speaker 1: know who you are. But okay, so wow, will you
- 50:12Speaker 1: be here? Will you be at the daycare center like you?
- 50:15Speaker 1: Because I like to meet you. I'll be at the
- 50:19Speaker 1: daycare when you arrive on Monday. But I mean not, um,

- 52:30Speaker 1: see that. She started flirting with me, felling you, huh
- 52:34Speaker 1: go there, sexy. Yeah that's what you want to be,
- 52:38Speaker 1: don't but not like not with no me? That what
- 52:43Speaker 1: you want? Yeah, I want to be sexy, but not
- 52:45Speaker 1: to people. Careful, Yeah, be careful what you wish. Yeah,
- 52:52Speaker 1: they're probably are gonna be pull it off in front

- 53:57Speaker 1: it All in the family. Dear Steven Early, I need
- 54:00Speaker 1: your advice, but I pray that you are not too
- 54:03Speaker 1: stern with me. I am a thirty one year old,
- 54:07Speaker 1: successful and beautiful woman with two children, ages three and one.
- 54:12Speaker 1: I am not married, but I am involved with a
- 54:15Speaker 1: married man. It's my sister's husband. They have been married
- 54:20Speaker 1: for twelve years, and I started sleeping with her husband
- 54:23Speaker 1: five years after they were married. My two children are
- 54:27Speaker 1: actually his, My sister and my Oh you go take
- 54:33Speaker 1: miss Sloan. I told you, I told you this letter
- 54:36Speaker 1: right here. I'm trying, I know, Okay, three and one. Yeah,
- 54:46Speaker 1: she says, I'm not married, but I am involved with
- 54:48Speaker 1: a married man. It's my sister's husband. They have been
- 54:52Speaker 1: married for twelve years, and I started sleeping with her
- 54:55Speaker 1: husband five years after they were married. My two children
- 54:59Speaker 1: are actually his. My sister and my family members have
- 55:03Speaker 1: no idea that I've been with this man for so long.
- 55:06Speaker 1: Years ago. She was sleeping with him for five years,
- 55:11Speaker 1: five years into their twelve year marriage. So seven, yeah,
- 55:18Speaker 1: all right. My sister and my family members have no
- 55:20Speaker 1: idea that I've been with this man for so long.
- 55:23Speaker 1: Years ago, I started lying about dating a guy that
- 55:26Speaker 1: lives out of town, and I told them that it's
- 55:29Speaker 1: a crazy relationship, so they don't need to meet him.
- 55:32Speaker 1: They do think that I take the kids to see
- 55:34Speaker 1: him though. My sister's husband, he is the father of
- 55:39Speaker 1: my kids, and he was happy that I could give
- 55:43Speaker 1: him a family. After they found out that my sister
- 55:46Speaker 1: was not able to have children. He has taken care
- 55:49Speaker 1: of my children and I since day one. We have
- 55:53Speaker 1: a house and a pretty comfortable lifestyle. He and I
- 55:56Speaker 1: have been on yeah but right, there's more all right,
- 56:07Speaker 1: And he and I have been on family vacations together
- 56:10Speaker 1: with the kids, and I'm not sure why my sister
- 56:14Speaker 1: has never suspected us. I was worried that my three
- 56:17Speaker 1: year old would start talking and telling it all, so
- 56:20Speaker 1: I had to limit the time that I let my
- 56:22Speaker 1: children stay around my family. Now that I have two
- 56:25Speaker 1: children by this man, I want him around full time.
- 56:28Speaker 1: So I gave him an ultimatum. He said that he
- 56:32Speaker 1: would never leave me, and he would never leave my sister.
- 56:37Speaker 1: He said, the arrangement works and there's no need to
- 56:41Speaker 1: mess it all up. I am so in love with
- 56:45Speaker 1: this man, and I am willing to be truthful about
- 56:48Speaker 1: it all in hopes that I can have him to myself.
- 56:52Speaker 1: I know we are wrong for all of this, but
- 56:55Speaker 1: we have a chance to make it right. What do
- 56:58Speaker 1: you think he buy it or fight for this man?
- 57:01Speaker 1: Please help? I'm with you, Steve. I was through. I
- 57:05Speaker 1: was threw away about halfway through this letter. Really, when
- 57:09Speaker 1: she said she's sleeping with her sister's husband. This has
- 57:13Speaker 1: to be the most trifling letter I think we've ever gotten,
- 57:16Speaker 1: and we've gotten a whole lot of trifling letters. But because, yeah,
- 57:22Speaker 1: because you are just clueless. I mean, you're you're just clueless.
- 57:26Speaker 1: You said it's wrong. You know it's wrong. Your brother
- 57:29Speaker 1: in law, slash man is cheating with his wife's sister
- 57:33Speaker 1: and he has two children with you. Why why would
- 57:36Speaker 1: you do this to your sister. I don't understand why
- 57:40Speaker 1: you would do something like this. You think you're helping
- 57:43Speaker 1: because she can't have kids and you can. Yes, your
- 57:47Speaker 1: children are gonna start talking and calling him daddy. Yes,
- 57:51Speaker 1: So now you're gonna you're involving the children by depriving
- 57:54Speaker 1: them of their father and their family because now you
- 57:56Speaker 1: have to keep them away. No more family vacations. And
- 58:00Speaker 1: like Steve said, where is this house? Your sister never
- 58:03Speaker 1: comes to your house. This is when it's okay to
- 58:06Speaker 1: say uncle, this is okay man. I mean, think if
- 58:11Speaker 1: your brother in law had kids, they would be cousins
- 58:13Speaker 1: and brothers and sisters. I mean, you're so in love
- 58:18Speaker 1: with this man, you're willing to be truthful about it
- 58:20Speaker 1: all in hopes that you can have him to yourself.
- 58:23Speaker 1: That's not gonna happen. That's not gonna happen. Yeah, you're
- 58:27Speaker 1: wrong for all of this. You don't have a chance
- 58:29Speaker 1: to make this right the only way you There's nothing
- 58:32Speaker 1: you can do to make this right. There's absolutely nothing
- 58:35Speaker 1: you can do. What do we think? We think you're crazy?
- 58:38Speaker 1: We think your brother in law man, he's crazy. Should
- 58:44Speaker 1: you keep quiet or fight for this man? Fight for him?
- 58:48Speaker 1: He's not even yours to fight for. This is your
- 58:51Speaker 1: sister's husband of twelve years. I don't understand. I really
- 58:56Speaker 1: really don't understand where your head is and all of
- 58:59Speaker 1: this because you say, you know, you know it's wrong.
- 59:04Speaker 1: You ask us not to be too stern with you,
- 59:06Speaker 1: But what are we supposed to do? I mean, come on,
- 59:09Speaker 1: this this letter is crazy, really crazy, and we don't
- 59:13Speaker 1: have a lot of time, So Steve, take it away please.
- 59:17Speaker 1: I mean, I don't know what to tell this woman.
- 59:19Speaker 1: I really don't. I wish you had the road into Yeah,
- 59:24Speaker 1: what do you say to her? I don't know. I
- 59:27Speaker 1: don't I don't know what. Don't be stern me to hell?
- 59:30Speaker 1: You ask me fault? What do you think? Do I
- 59:34Speaker 1: keep quiet or fight for this man, the hell is
- 59:37Speaker 1: wrong with you? Damn? You don't see, don't what's what's wrong?
- 59:46Speaker 1: You trifled on so many letters due you always try
- 59:49Speaker 1: to trick people at the beginning when O people didn't
- 59:51Speaker 1: do something trick from this how they opened and that
- 59:53Speaker 1: I'm a beautiful, successful thirty one year old woman. Oh
- 59:57Speaker 1: it's something ugly about you. I can tell you that. Hey,
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: unflated out damn letter. Yeah. Pert two is coming up
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: with Steve at twenty three after the hour. Today's Strawberry
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: Letters subjects keeping it all in the family. We'll get
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: back into it right after this. You're listening, all right, Steve,
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: Let's recap today's strawberry letter. Say, no, recap. I'm just
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: fitting to get into it. Ain't no damn recap. Thirty
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: one year old woman say she's beautiful with two children,
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: three and one. She ain't married, but she's involved with
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: a married man now, a married man that she involved with.
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: It's her sister's husband. Now they've been married for twelve years.
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: She started sleeping with the dude five years after they
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: were married. They've been sleeping together seven years. My two children,
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: the ones that's three and one, they are actually his
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: first of all, my sister and my family members have
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: no idea that I've been with this man for so long.
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: You trifling. I don't know how you don't want us
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: to be sterned. You don't understand how wrong you are.
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: First of all, you're having an affair with the married man.
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: But this married man you chose to have an affair with,
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: it's your sister's husband. I mean, man, that's trifling. That's
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: really really trifflic You was gonna see a married man, Okay, cool,
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: I get it. Just go get you one somebody else. Now,
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: your family and your sister, they don't have any idea
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: about this. You know, you started lying to coverage by
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: dating this man that lives out of town, and I
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: told him that it's a crazy relationship, so they don't
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: need to meet him. And now they do think that
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: I take the kids to see him though, So I
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: want to hear this. See, this is what I want
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: wanted to learn. How did your family think that you
- 1:02:03Speaker 1: take the kids to see him? And your sister's husband
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: knows he's the father of the kids, and he was
- 1:02:11Speaker 1: happy that you could give him some kids. After he
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: found out that his wife, who is your sister wasn't
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: able to have children. Now I've noticed how you started
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: to weave this story to start to start adding so
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: it can make sense to you. So my sister can't
- 1:02:31Speaker 1: have kids. He's so grateful that I was able to
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: give him two children. But this dude is screwing his
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: wife's sister. Man, y'all trifling? Man? Okay? Then, and my
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: sister's husband knows that he the father the kids, and
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: he was happy because I could give him a family
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: after they found out my sister wasn't able to have children. See,
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: so now she trying to make a life. She hadn't
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: done a service, and I'm doing something good because he
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: wanted a family and he couldn't have one, so I
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: gave it to him. He'd took care of me and
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: the kids since day one. We have a house and
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: a pretty comfortable lifestyle. Wait wait, wait wait we have
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: a house where Yeah? But and what do they think
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: you take the kids too? He and I have been
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: on family vacations together with the kids, and I'm not
- 1:03:39Speaker 1: sure why my sister has never suspected us. Wait wait
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: a minute, how do you go explain this to me?
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: Because I'm dumbfounded? How do you go on vacation with
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: your sister's husband, and y'all didn't have two kids. How
- 1:03:56Speaker 1: do y'all go on family vacation with the kids? What
- 1:03:59Speaker 1: do the kid kids call him? Do the kids ever
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: see him with hub? What y'all doing Christmas and Thanksgiving?
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: What the hell is going on here? How long you
- 1:04:11Speaker 1: think you and you keep talking about should you fight
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: for this man or just be quiet? You ain't gonna
- 1:04:16Speaker 1: be quiet with this too much longer. These kids they
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: don't know this little crazy story you didn't wolve. I
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: was warried that my three year old would start talking
- 1:04:27Speaker 1: and telling it all, so I had to limit the
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: time I let my children stay around my family what
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: not there? Because they they think he is daddy, but
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: he is they daddy, But he they uncle daddy exactly.
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: Now I have two children by this man. I wanted
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: him around full time, so I gave him an ultimatum.
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: He said he would never leave me and he would
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: never leave my sister. He said, the arrangement works and
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: there's no need to mess it up. Yeah, it works
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: for him. This food don't know how they say gonna
- 1:05:08Speaker 1: work for him that he has no idea what's coming
- 1:05:11Speaker 1: down the Pike for right. You have to pay for
- 1:05:14Speaker 1: stuff like this. Brothers, I've done some wrong in my day,
- 1:05:18Speaker 1: you guys to pay for it. I'm so in love
- 1:05:21Speaker 1: with this man, and I'm willing to be truthful about
- 1:05:23Speaker 1: it all. Wait a minute, you find what? What? What? What? What?
- 1:05:28Speaker 1: What do that mean? You find to go be truthful
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: with it to who, to your sister, to your mama,
- 1:05:36Speaker 1: to your family. That's what you find to tell him.
- 1:05:39Speaker 1: I just want to say one more thing when we
- 1:05:41Speaker 1: come back on is all right? All right? All right,
- 1:05:45Speaker 1: We're gonna do more, Steve on this letter. H this
- 1:05:49Speaker 1: is a crazy letter, Keeping it All in the family. Uh.
- 1:05:53Speaker 1: We'll get back into it part three right after this
- 1:05:57Speaker 1: at forty six after the hour you're listening, all right,
- 1:06:03Speaker 1: coming up at the top of the hour, we'll get
- 1:06:05Speaker 1: into more of the show with Cheryl Underwood. But right now, Steve,
- 1:06:09Speaker 1: we want to get back into the Strawberry letter subject
- 1:06:12Speaker 1: keeping It All in the family. This year old woman
- 1:06:15Speaker 1: who claims to be beautiful, successful has been seeing a
- 1:06:19Speaker 1: married man. The married man happens to be her sister's husband.
- 1:06:23Speaker 1: She's had two kids with this man. They've gone on
- 1:06:27Speaker 1: family vacations together, she's nervous that the three year old
- 1:06:31Speaker 1: was gonna start talking and the baby will right now
- 1:06:35Speaker 1: to three year old, ain't got the words for a check,
- 1:06:38Speaker 1: but five oh yeah, oh yeah. She didn't have it
- 1:06:42Speaker 1: together a minute. He has taken care of you, as
- 1:06:44Speaker 1: her and the children since day one. They got a
- 1:06:47Speaker 1: house together and pretty comfortable. They haven't been on family
- 1:06:51Speaker 1: vacation together as with the kids. I'm not sure why
- 1:06:55Speaker 1: my sister has never suspected us, which means you've kind
- 1:06:59Speaker 1: of not cared, well, not no, kind of you have
- 1:07:04Speaker 1: never gave a damn about what your sister think or
- 1:07:08Speaker 1: feel because you want this for yourself. Then you said,
- 1:07:12Speaker 1: now you got the two children bodies man, you want
- 1:07:15Speaker 1: him around full time. So she wouldn't and gave a
- 1:07:17Speaker 1: man an ultimatum. He said he would never leave her
- 1:07:21Speaker 1: and he would never leave my sister. He said, the
- 1:07:24Speaker 1: arrangement works, and there's no need to mess it all up.
- 1:07:28Speaker 1: This thing is unraveling, as every time we read it,
- 1:07:31Speaker 1: it's unraveling. So listen to this. I'm so in love
- 1:07:35Speaker 1: with this man that I'm willing to be truthful about
- 1:07:38Speaker 1: it all in hopes that I can have him to myself. Wait, okay, lady.
- 1:07:45Speaker 1: First of all, let let me explain something to you
- 1:07:47Speaker 1: about that statement, in hopes that I can have him
- 1:07:50Speaker 1: all to myself. He ain't never gave himself all to
- 1:07:53Speaker 1: no one person. You don't. You don't recognize that. You don't.
- 1:07:57Speaker 1: You don't, don't you don't. You're not looking at that statement.
- 1:08:01Speaker 1: I want him all to myself, but he don't want
- 1:08:03Speaker 1: to be all to himself with nobody he doing it? Now,
- 1:08:07Speaker 1: you're stupid. You ain't gonna be truthful about another day.
- 1:08:10Speaker 1: You ain't about a damn thing. I'm gonna have him
- 1:08:12Speaker 1: to myself now. I know we are wrong for all this,
- 1:08:16Speaker 1: but we have a chance to make it right. He ain't.
- 1:08:19Speaker 1: He stopped saying that we have a chance. You said
- 1:08:23Speaker 1: you was going in there. He told me you ain't
- 1:08:25Speaker 1: going in there. But now I say a damn thing.
- 1:08:27Speaker 1: What do you think? Keep quiet? A fight for this man?
- 1:08:30Speaker 1: You can't fight for something that ain't cho or should
- 1:08:32Speaker 1: have told you that you can't fight for this man.
- 1:08:35Speaker 1: He ain't cho us. All this is a disaster. All
- 1:08:41Speaker 1: of this is wrong on so many levels. You have
- 1:08:45Speaker 1: no idea that damnage you have done to an entire
- 1:08:48Speaker 1: family structure. You have no idea, lady, and there's nothing
- 1:08:52Speaker 1: we can do to spare you from the misery that's
- 1:08:54Speaker 1: coming down your street. For this hanging there, get prayed
- 1:08:58Speaker 1: up and ask for forgilt, that's all. And take care
- 1:09:01Speaker 1: of those kids. Those are the ones that are really
- 1:09:04Speaker 1: gonna suffer. All right. You can email us, you know,
- 1:09:07Speaker 1: Steve Harvey FM, or listen to the Strawberry Letter podcast
- 1:09:10Speaker 1: and Cheryl Underwood is coming up next right here, right
- 1:09:13Speaker 1: after this you're listening to. All right, Steve, introduce our girl.
- 1:09:21Speaker 1: She is here, Udies and gentlemen, without further ado, Shirley,
- 1:09:29Speaker 1: Steve Harvey, Listen, President Trump's is out of the country. Okay, listen,
- 1:09:35Speaker 1: Well we need to do right now. We need to
- 1:09:37Speaker 1: go change all the locks at the White House. You
- 1:09:41Speaker 1: need to let all the air out, the ties of
- 1:09:44Speaker 1: Air Force one, they all need to come back, you
- 1:09:47Speaker 1: know what I'm saying. So while he over there, why
- 1:09:49Speaker 1: don't you just stay over though. But this is what
- 1:09:52Speaker 1: I don't understand. I don't understand. They got the polls
- 1:09:55Speaker 1: out where they say fifty four percent of the population
- 1:09:58Speaker 1: believe that Trump's is gonna give reelected president. That's just
- 1:10:02Speaker 1: sound like they not gave up already. Now we can't
- 1:10:05Speaker 1: get the impeachment inquiry. They need to start it. See
- 1:10:08Speaker 1: back when Nixon and the water Gate, Nixon had like
- 1:10:11Speaker 1: I think he had it, like a sixty five percent
- 1:10:13Speaker 1: approve of rated and then when they did they impeachment
- 1:10:16Speaker 1: inquiry and all that stuff start coming out in all
- 1:10:19Speaker 1: them earrings. Then people start bailing on Nixon because they
- 1:10:22Speaker 1: knew what the real story was and they couldn't save him.
- 1:10:25Speaker 1: But they told him, Hey, we can't save you, so
- 1:10:27Speaker 1: you need to resign. Why am I telling you all
- 1:10:30Speaker 1: of this? Don't give up now. If you don't like
- 1:10:32Speaker 1: Trump as the president, do you? First, we need an
- 1:10:35Speaker 1: impeachment inquiry, and impeachment is not gonna happen overnight. But
- 1:10:39Speaker 1: you need to dig into this. You need to find
- 1:10:42Speaker 1: out how the Russians took advantage of the fact that
- 1:10:45Speaker 1: the thirst is real with Trump. He wanted to be
- 1:10:48Speaker 1: president that bad that he could take help from our adversary,
- 1:10:53Speaker 1: which in my opinion, means you should not be the president.
- 1:10:56Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying, And you damn sure should
- 1:10:59Speaker 1: not be presenting us now when you were talking about
- 1:11:02Speaker 1: you wouldn't go to Vietnam, and this is the week
- 1:11:05Speaker 1: where were celebrating what is yeah, seventy five year Listen
- 1:11:11Speaker 1: to me, that's not what the commander in chief does.
- 1:11:14Speaker 1: And now and then we got to figure out not
- 1:11:16Speaker 1: just how we get this dude out of office, and
- 1:11:18Speaker 1: if we can't get him out of office, then we
- 1:11:20Speaker 1: need to vote him out of office. But then everybody say,
- 1:11:23Speaker 1: but we don't want Biden, We don't want Biden. Why
- 1:11:26Speaker 1: we don't want Biden? You know why you don't want
- 1:11:28Speaker 1: Biden because everybody think they can win this. Biden is
- 1:11:32Speaker 1: the dude that got the highest numbers in the little poem. Okay,
- 1:11:37Speaker 1: so obviously somebody like Biden. Black people like Biden because
- 1:11:40Speaker 1: he was President Obama's vice president. So why don't y'all
- 1:11:43Speaker 1: stop tripping Democrats? And why are the thirty five of
- 1:11:47Speaker 1: y'all that's running. Why don't y'all rock paper scissor this
- 1:11:50Speaker 1: and decide who's gonna be the vice president and let's
- 1:11:53Speaker 1: get on with putting this dude out of office if
- 1:11:55Speaker 1: that's what you feel now. Last for not lest everybody
- 1:11:58Speaker 1: talking about this high amendment and everybody talking about when
- 1:12:01Speaker 1: women got the right to vote, well before that it
- 1:12:03Speaker 1: was the fifteenth Amendment that gave men the right to vote,
- 1:12:08Speaker 1: and then people sold us out. See, we gotta go
- 1:12:11Speaker 1: back and study our history. While we believe in and
- 1:12:14Speaker 1: supporting everybody bought ourselves. There was two amendment's Fifteenth Amendment,
- 1:12:19Speaker 1: nineteenth Amendment. Then they start doing stuff to black people,
- 1:12:22Speaker 1: so we definitely could not vote. Now let's talk about
- 1:12:25Speaker 1: abortion before I go. And this is me talking not
- 1:12:28Speaker 1: to Steve Harvey Morning Show. If you don't know anything
- 1:12:31Speaker 1: about Fanny lew Hammer's life, then you need to study
- 1:12:35Speaker 1: who Fanny lew Hammer was. Fanny lew Hammer was a
- 1:12:39Speaker 1: civil rights person that got what they called back then
- 1:12:43Speaker 1: Tommy Junior caller, Shirley and Steve a Mississippi appendect to me,
- 1:12:48Speaker 1: what did she get? She got a histor direct me,
- 1:12:50Speaker 1: she got sterilized without Hussey, so for a minor tumor.
- 1:12:55Speaker 1: That's why she was saying that abortion was genocide. We
- 1:12:59Speaker 1: don't all think alike, we don't all act alike, but
- 1:13:02Speaker 1: we got to come together so we can protect our rights.
- 1:13:06Speaker 1: So don't tell me, well Biden supports the High Amendment,
- 1:13:10Speaker 1: Let him feel the way he feels. Because we got
- 1:13:13Speaker 1: the worst president in the history of mankind in the
- 1:13:17Speaker 1: White House and we're still fighting over who's gonna take
- 1:13:20Speaker 1: this dude out. We don't need to be fighting over that.
- 1:13:23Speaker 1: We need to come together and if we don't like him,
- 1:13:26Speaker 1: as Americans, vote his ass right about the White House
- 1:13:29Speaker 1: while he overseas on. Sorry, did I go to far Steve?
- 1:13:32Speaker 1: I'm sorry, girl, perfect you, Thank you, Sue. Don't even
- 1:13:41Speaker 1: look good with a tight vessel with its old lord
- 1:13:44Speaker 1: embarrassing us. I just he the worst, and I'm a
- 1:13:47Speaker 1: Republican in our case that get old Lord. Turn my
- 1:13:51Speaker 1: mic off, I say something good jobs, Thank you, Cheryl.
- 1:13:55Speaker 1: All right, coming up music and more fun on the
- 1:13:58Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show at twenty minutes after the hour.
- 1:14:01Speaker 1: Right after this. You're listening, all right, Chirlette Strawberry, it's
- 1:14:09Speaker 1: good news Thursday. What you've got going on? I heard
- 1:14:12Speaker 1: you're doing something in the city of Atlanta, my dear. Yeah,
- 1:14:16Speaker 1: well you know. I'm a member of the board on

- 1:15:21Speaker 1: sexy subject. It's not a fun subject to talk about.
- 1:15:24Speaker 1: But you know, it's still happening every day, you know,
- 1:15:26Speaker 1: where women men, you know, are being violated and you
- 1:15:31Speaker 1: know violence, Yeah, and definitely abuse. It's the leading cause
- 1:15:35Speaker 1: of injury to women between the ages of fifteen and
- 1:15:37Speaker 1: forty four in the US. All right, yeah, wow, sure,

- 1:15:50Speaker 1: You're listening to show. All right, guys. In today's trending
- 1:15:56Speaker 1: entertainment news, referring to someone as auntie with no relation
- 1:15:59Speaker 1: as usually a term of endearment, right well, filmmaker Ava
- 1:16:03Speaker 1: DuVernay does not see it that way. When she sat
- 1:16:08Speaker 1: down with Van Lathan from TMZ. Everybody knows Van from TMZ,
- 1:16:12Speaker 1: Well anyway, he has a podcast, Ava revealed that she
- 1:16:16Speaker 1: finds it slightly shady. She says, first of all, I
- 1:16:19Speaker 1: have a real issue recently. I've been getting called on
- 1:16:22Speaker 1: Twitter Auntie Ava. Why she said? Am I that old?
- 1:16:26Speaker 1: Because I don't feel that old. Van tried to explain
- 1:16:30Speaker 1: that fans use the term out of respect for what
- 1:16:32Speaker 1: Ava brings to the culture. While she can appreciate the concept,
- 1:16:37Speaker 1: she wasn't having it. Naturally. Social media weighed in and
- 1:16:40Speaker 1: made Auntie a trending hashtag. Ava joined in to let
- 1:16:43Speaker 1: everyone know how she prefers to be addressed. For the record,
- 1:16:48Speaker 1: she says she happily responds to miss DuVernay, sis queen Ava,
- 1:16:54Speaker 1: miss Ava. Okay, that's auntie. Forget about it. No, no, no,
- 1:17:01Speaker 1: So see if you deal with this all the time
- 1:17:03Speaker 1: I can. Uncle Marjorie gets called a Marjorie. We're cool
- 1:17:08Speaker 1: with it. You cool with it. Let me step in
- 1:17:12Speaker 1: right here. Uh Okay, uncle comes from a niece or
- 1:17:17Speaker 1: a nephew. Okay, that's when you say uncle or auntie.
- 1:17:22Speaker 1: If it's not your uncle or your auntie, then guess what.
- 1:17:27Speaker 1: Guess what it's not yours? You your own? Damn what
- 1:17:32Speaker 1: I'm about to say? How you feel like that? Because
- 1:17:34Speaker 1: I call him? Time? Ain't damn Uncle Steve? No, he
- 1:17:40Speaker 1: says some time. Why where is your uncle's there? Right well,
- 1:17:46Speaker 1: right now? He over there? Next you? What you no? No?
- 1:17:50Speaker 1: Where is your uncle? How many uncles you got? How
- 1:17:53Speaker 1: many uncles you got? Jim? This one right here? No?
- 1:17:57Speaker 1: How many? Oh? My real uncles like Faither's brother by seven? Okay,
- 1:18:06Speaker 1: are you proud of any of them? Not reading? This
- 1:18:11Speaker 1: is the problem. I'm proud of this one I got
- 1:18:14Speaker 1: sitting over here. This is the problem. Who's the prophet? Everybody? Uncle?
- 1:18:22Speaker 1: Get your own car? Hold on time? Wait a minute,
- 1:18:25Speaker 1: won't don't. Why is you so possessing because this is
- 1:18:30Speaker 1: my uncle. I'm the one that was born put a
- 1:18:33Speaker 1: rich ass uncle. And if you wasn't, that's just that's
- 1:18:35Speaker 1: just you just didn't get one. Well, I'll tell you
- 1:18:38Speaker 1: what timing you can't whoof the world as all right?
- 1:18:45Speaker 1: Look coming up our last break of the day, and
- 1:18:47Speaker 1: we'll close out the show with some closing remarks from
- 1:18:50Speaker 1: the one and only Steve Harvey at forty nine after
- 1:18:53Speaker 1: the hour. Right after this you're listening to all right,
- 1:18:59Speaker 1: Here we are live break of the day. It's been
- 1:19:02Speaker 1: a crazy day as usual the time we like, right
- 1:19:06Speaker 1: and here's our fearless leader to take us home with
- 1:19:09Speaker 1: closing remarks. Today, I just want to pose a question
- 1:19:12Speaker 1: because I try to find different ways to motivate people
- 1:19:19Speaker 1: as as I ask God to help me find new ways.
- 1:19:25Speaker 1: Today I just decided to try this. I just want
- 1:19:28Speaker 1: to ask you a series of questions because I'm just
- 1:19:30Speaker 1: trying to get everybody to get to moving towards their dreams.
- 1:19:34Speaker 1: I'm just trying to get everybody to get started on
- 1:19:37Speaker 1: the pathway of accomplishing your visions and your goals and
- 1:19:42Speaker 1: your dreams. It's going to take some action though. You know,
- 1:19:45Speaker 1: you can't just want something. Have you ever people say
- 1:19:48Speaker 1: if you want something bad enough, it'll happen. That's not true,
- 1:19:54Speaker 1: that's so not true. Do you know how many times
- 1:19:58Speaker 1: you've actually wanted something really bad and didn't get it? What? Who?
- 1:20:04Speaker 1: I don't know who said that? Why? Why they tell
- 1:20:06Speaker 1: people that if you want something bad enough, it'll really happen.
- 1:20:09Speaker 1: It can happen, No, it won't. It requires an action.
- 1:20:13Speaker 1: Faith without works is dead. If you don't do anything,
- 1:20:18Speaker 1: you can't stop expecting to get everything. If you don't
- 1:20:22Speaker 1: do anything, you can stop expecting to get everything. Now,
- 1:20:26Speaker 1: God is going to give all of us some grace
- 1:20:29Speaker 1: in spite of our shortcomings and lack of effort. He
- 1:20:31Speaker 1: will give all of us some grace, and we'll all
- 1:20:34Speaker 1: get some things that we really don't deserve. You know.
- 1:20:38Speaker 1: It just provides us breaks. But in those breaks, he's
- 1:20:41Speaker 1: trying to sustain you, just to get you to say, wow, man,
- 1:20:44Speaker 1: if I had just done a little bit more of
- 1:20:46Speaker 1: what could I have had, or if I had done
- 1:20:49Speaker 1: a little bit more of what could have happened. So
- 1:20:51Speaker 1: my question today for you, it's just I'm asking you
- 1:20:55Speaker 1: a series of very, very simple questions, maybe four or
- 1:20:58Speaker 1: five you're waiting for? What? Tell me what is it
- 1:21:03Speaker 1: you're waiting for? Because oftentimes when I talk to people,
- 1:21:07Speaker 1: I get some responses that just throw me off, you know,
- 1:21:11Speaker 1: because what you're waiting for? What? What is it going
- 1:21:15Speaker 1: to take to get you started? What is the motivation?
- 1:21:21Speaker 1: What is the button? What is the trigger that fires
- 1:21:25Speaker 1: you to get going to moving towards your dreams and visions?
- 1:21:29Speaker 1: You're waiting for what? I don't understand. Are you perfectly
- 1:21:33Speaker 1: comfortable where you are right now? Have you decided and
- 1:21:38Speaker 1: settled in that this is it for me? Have you
- 1:21:43Speaker 1: gotten tired of waking up and asking the question, whow
- 1:21:47Speaker 1: It's got to be more to my life than this? What?
- 1:21:50Speaker 1: Have you just gotten tired of that and you don't
- 1:21:53Speaker 1: want to deal with it no more? So you just
- 1:21:54Speaker 1: decided what that You're just gonna lock in like where
- 1:21:58Speaker 1: I am? It's cool? You all right with that? Let
- 1:22:03Speaker 1: me ask you another question. Have all the ducks ever
- 1:22:07Speaker 1: lined up in a row? Because if that's what you're
- 1:22:10Speaker 1: waiting for, let me just ask you. Has it never
- 1:22:17Speaker 1: been set that while I see exactly step by step,
- 1:22:20Speaker 1: I'm gonna ge down, gonna get everything is perfect. I'm
- 1:22:22Speaker 1: gonna start now. If you're waiting on the perfect time
- 1:22:26Speaker 1: to start, you may never start, because there is no
- 1:22:29Speaker 1: such a thing as the perfect time. The perfect time
- 1:22:34Speaker 1: is now. That's the perfect time. If you're waiting on
- 1:22:39Speaker 1: something else to happen, it probably ain't gonna happen because
- 1:22:42Speaker 1: you gotta figure like this. Suppose it don't happen what
- 1:22:45Speaker 1: you're gonna do, then, see, you just got to come
- 1:22:47Speaker 1: to that conclusion. Suppose it don't happen what you're gonna do.
- 1:22:50Speaker 1: Then suppose you don't get to degree what you're gonna do,
- 1:22:53Speaker 1: then you're gonna fail. Suppose you don't get that job
- 1:22:57Speaker 1: that you got your eyes on. So you don't get
- 1:22:59Speaker 1: that job. So now what you unemployed the rest of
- 1:23:01Speaker 1: your life because you didn't meet that deadline. You can't
- 1:23:08Speaker 1: make another one. You're waiting for. What what's it gonna
- 1:23:14Speaker 1: take to get you started? Have your ducks ever all
- 1:23:17Speaker 1: lined up in a row? The answer is no. The
- 1:23:21Speaker 1: perfect time to start is now. Let me ask you
- 1:23:25Speaker 1: this question. Does it appear to be getting any closer
- 1:23:30Speaker 1: even though you're not moving towards it? Oh? Does it
- 1:23:36Speaker 1: appear to be getting any closer? Even though you're not
- 1:23:41Speaker 1: moving towards it. The answer is no, it's not getting
- 1:23:48Speaker 1: closer because you're not walking towards anything. If you don't
- 1:23:53Speaker 1: walk towards something, please stop expecting it to get closer.
- 1:23:58Speaker 1: It will not happen. Success is not a magic trick.
- 1:24:04Speaker 1: It's a series of steps that people take over and
- 1:24:07Speaker 1: over and over and over, and in spite of what happens,
- 1:24:11Speaker 1: they take those steps. Anyway, Does it appear to be
- 1:24:15Speaker 1: getting closer even though you're not moving towards it? It's
- 1:24:19Speaker 1: probably not. But could that be why you're not getting
- 1:24:26Speaker 1: what you want because you ain't moving towards nothing? Last question,
- 1:24:33Speaker 1: Could it be that you just don't want anything more?
- 1:24:38Speaker 1: Maybe that's it. Maybe you don't quit wanting a new car.
- 1:24:43Speaker 1: Maybe you don't quit wanting a bigger house. Maybe you
- 1:24:46Speaker 1: don't quit wanting that second home. Maybe you quit wanting
- 1:24:50Speaker 1: to open up a business. Is it that you just
- 1:24:53Speaker 1: don't want anymore? Just answer to these questions. Now, let
- 1:24:58Speaker 1: me tell all of y'allself. Put God in your life
- 1:25:01Speaker 1: and it can change all of this. You can go
- 1:25:04Speaker 1: to God and ask God to strengthen you. You can
- 1:25:07Speaker 1: go to God right now and ask God to give
- 1:25:11Speaker 1: you the desires of your heart, but enable you with
- 1:25:14Speaker 1: the character to make him come true. Ask God to
- 1:25:18Speaker 1: strengthen your character, Ask him to strengthen your will, Ask
- 1:25:22Speaker 1: him to strengthen your stick tuitiveness. Ask God for his help,
- 1:25:30Speaker 1: because God is going to make your dream come true. Business.
- 1:25:33Speaker 1: Those are my closing monks. Drop it, baby, drop it now.
