- 2:18Speaker 2: Did you know that there is a life for you
- 2:24Speaker 2: that's greater than you could have ever dreamed of? Did
- 2:30Speaker 2: you know that there's a life for you better than
- 2:32Speaker 2: the one you've ever felt before? And did you know
- 2:37Speaker 2: that there was a life for you much bigger than
- 2:41Speaker 2: the one you wanted? And lastly, did you know that
- 2:47Speaker 2: what I just said is true? Did you know that
- 2:54Speaker 2: did you know that the things I just said are
- 2:56Speaker 2: available to you? It's not just intended for those who
- 3:03Speaker 2: receive awards. It's for everybody. Yeah, you too, It's for
- 3:13Speaker 2: you who didn't get your high school diploma. It's for
- 3:19Speaker 2: you who are incarcerated. It's for you who have two strikes.
- 3:29Speaker 2: It's for you who've been sentenced to life. It's for
- 3:35Speaker 2: you who've gotten out and have a felony record and
- 3:39Speaker 2: can't seem to get it together. It's for you who
- 3:43Speaker 2: have an illness. It's for you who the doctors have
- 3:49Speaker 2: given up on. It's for you. This life I'm talking
- 3:54Speaker 2: about is for you. Did you know that there is
- 4:01Speaker 2: a life for you better than the one you dreamed about,
- 4:05Speaker 2: better than the one you've imagined, a life better than
- 4:09Speaker 2: the one you thought of, That there's a life for
- 4:12Speaker 2: you better than the one you've ever felt before. There's
- 4:16Speaker 2: a life for you better than the one you saw
- 4:18Speaker 2: for yourself. There's a better life for you than the
- 4:21Speaker 2: one you expected and even the one you wanted. Did
- 4:25Speaker 2: you know that this is true for you? See, here's
- 4:31Speaker 2: let me give you the secret to this thing. Now
- 4:35Speaker 2: you have to believe that it is for you. Now,
- 4:40Speaker 2: you gotta fight through the doubts. You gotta fight through
- 4:43Speaker 2: the wiel of satan, because the devil is busy man.
- 4:46Speaker 2: The devil wants you to think that it's hopeless. The
- 4:49Speaker 2: devil wants you to think that this is it The
- 4:52Speaker 2: devil wants you to think that ain't no more to it.
- 4:54Speaker 2: The devil wants you to think that this applies to
- 4:57Speaker 2: other people. But you, Yeah, you've been dealt the worst
- 4:59Speaker 2: hand of them all, which you ate. But that's what
- 5:02Speaker 2: the devil wants you to think. So you gotta fight through. Now,
- 5:05Speaker 2: You gotta fight through to get to what I just
- 5:08Speaker 2: said is available for you. But what else you got
- 5:10Speaker 2: to do? You ain't doing nothing else, might as well fight.
- 5:14Speaker 2: Why just wake up and just let it be? Why
- 5:16Speaker 2: would you wake up every day and just exist when
- 5:19Speaker 2: there's a chance for you to actually live? See the
- 5:22Speaker 2: reason I don't mind smiling so much now is because
- 5:25Speaker 2: I'm no longer existing. I'm living now. See. See, that's
- 5:30Speaker 2: what you want to get to. You don't want to exist,
- 5:33Speaker 2: to wake up paycheck to paycheck, date today, not knowing,
- 5:38Speaker 2: not understanding, not have and can't can't get this, can't
- 5:41Speaker 2: get that, can't go here, can't go there, Gota wait,
- 5:44Speaker 2: gota wait, goda wait, goda wait till it seems like
- 5:47Speaker 2: you never get nowhere. You can get out of that
- 5:50Speaker 2: rut of life, feeling like when you wake up in
- 5:52Speaker 2: the morning that your life is whole hum that you
- 5:55Speaker 2: just in a rut. I drive the same way to work.
- 5:58Speaker 2: I do the same thing on my job. When I
- 6:00Speaker 2: get off, I drive all the way back home. I
- 6:03Speaker 2: sit there, I read the newspaper. I watered the lawn.
- 6:06Speaker 2: I'm so sick of my life. It ain't this, ain't
- 6:09Speaker 2: what I wanted, man, and start wak up and start over,
- 6:13Speaker 2: do the same thing. Then the weekend gets in. You
- 6:15Speaker 2: got to mold the lawn, and then you try to
- 6:18Speaker 2: fix something in the garage, and you feel like your
- 6:20Speaker 2: life is in a rut. I'm talking about if this
- 6:22Speaker 2: feels like a rut to you, and if it's what
- 6:23Speaker 2: you've always wanted, I'm cool with that. But I'm talking
- 6:26Speaker 2: to people who want it more, who would love their
- 6:30Speaker 2: life to be more, who would love their life too
- 6:32Speaker 2: different to be different. Now, I'm not criticizing you if
- 6:35Speaker 2: I just described your life. I'm just only talking to
- 6:39Speaker 2: the ones who would dad to believe that there's more
- 6:43Speaker 2: to it than this. I'm only talking to the ones
- 6:46Speaker 2: who would dad to accept the challenge to fight through
- 6:51Speaker 2: and see what God got for you. Instead of listening
- 6:54Speaker 2: to Satan all the time. Devil is busy, man. Please
- 6:57Speaker 2: understand he's so busy, so busy, trying to treat you,
- 7:00Speaker 2: get you into the crove. You know they doing all
- 7:03Speaker 2: kinds of stuff now, man, you know atheists and already
- 7:06Speaker 2: got prayer taken out of schools. Excuse me, look at
- 7:09Speaker 2: our skills schools, not as a push by the atheists
- 7:12Speaker 2: to get the words in God we trust, taking off
- 7:15Speaker 2: our money. Here's a deal. If you don't believe in God,
- 7:17Speaker 2: and you don't want trust in God, just going about
- 7:19Speaker 2: your business. But what you can't do is spill off
- 7:21Speaker 2: all into what I'm talking about. That's the problem I
- 7:24Speaker 2: have with all of them. If you're gonna do you,
- 7:26Speaker 2: then't do you, but don't spill off into what I got. Now. See,
- 7:30Speaker 2: if you don't believe what I'm saying, then I ain't
- 7:32Speaker 2: talking to you. Let's just be clear about the relationship
- 7:35Speaker 2: with Steve Harvey and his crew. I'm only talking to
- 7:38Speaker 2: the people that believe that are looking for something else,
- 7:41Speaker 2: that want something more, that wants something better, that's got
- 7:46Speaker 2: to be out there searching and hoping and trying to
- 7:48Speaker 2: do more. That's all I'm talking to now. If you
- 7:52Speaker 2: don't believe what I'm saying is true, then't go ahead,
- 7:54Speaker 2: try it your way, go see, write me, email me,
- 7:57Speaker 2: let me know how it's going for you. But I'm
- 7:59Speaker 2: telling you of a way that's tried and true. If
- 8:02Speaker 2: you go to God, if you go to your creator,
- 8:05Speaker 2: your maker, if you go to him and you go
- 8:09Speaker 2: to him for real and tell him, hey, you know what,
- 8:13Speaker 2: I want you to go ahead and take over from here.
- 8:16Speaker 2: I'm done. I'd have done all I know how to
- 8:18Speaker 2: do outa tried everything I know how to try. I'm
- 8:21Speaker 2: sick of me right now. Hey look here, you created
- 8:24Speaker 2: me what you want me to do, and you had
- 8:26Speaker 2: the cool thing about it. When I made that decision, y'all. See,
- 8:29Speaker 2: I was so afraid for years that I was going
- 8:31Speaker 2: to miss out on something if I did that. I
- 8:34Speaker 2: couldn't do this no more. But the stuff I needed
- 8:36Speaker 2: to stop doing. I really need to stop the things
- 8:38Speaker 2: I was afraid of not being able to do anymore,
- 8:41Speaker 2: with the very same things I really didn't need to
- 8:43Speaker 2: be doing no more in the first place. On the
- 8:46Speaker 2: real man, on the real all that temporary fun I
- 8:50Speaker 2: was having all them temporary outlets. I was using all
- 8:53Speaker 2: them temporary things, trying to fulfill myself I was doing.
- 8:57Speaker 2: I was just doing a bunch of temporary mess man.
- 9:00Speaker 2: I said, hold up, man, I want something permanent. Man,
- 9:03Speaker 2: I want a permanent feeling in my heart that it's
- 9:05Speaker 2: gonna be all right. So he replaced all that fun
- 9:08Speaker 2: with joy. But it was only because I went and
- 9:11Speaker 2: I faced him. He didn't take me and stopped me
- 9:14Speaker 2: from being me. He just made a better version of me. See,
- 9:19Speaker 2: God don't take he because all the stuff he sent
- 9:22Speaker 2: you through, he needed you to go through all him.
- 9:24Speaker 2: He needed you to have him experience of what it
- 9:26Speaker 2: felt like to be locked up. He needed you to
- 9:28Speaker 2: have experience and know what it was to lose everything.
- 9:31Speaker 2: He needed you to have experience to make you tough.
- 9:34Speaker 2: You just gonna be a tough one. I'm a tough
- 9:37Speaker 2: soldier in his army. That's all. I just say. One
- 9:40Speaker 2: of the weak ones. I protect the weak ones. God
- 9:45Speaker 2: didn't take a lot of stuff from except the stuff
- 9:48Speaker 2: I needed. But the stuff he made me to be,
- 9:51Speaker 2: He allowed me to keep it, and he just made
- 9:53Speaker 2: it better of me. Do that, y'all and you can
- 9:55Speaker 2: have what you want.
- 9:56Speaker 4: You're listening.
- 9:59Speaker 2: Show, ladies and gentlemen, man have your attention. Please. Today's
- 10:05Speaker 2: show is dated. It is dedicated to mountain people, scuba divers,
- 10:13Speaker 2: an archaeologist, mountain people, scuba divers and archaeologists. None of
- 10:20Speaker 2: them are listening right now. We're just trying to draw
- 10:23Speaker 2: them in. So we're sending out random dedications to people
- 10:28Speaker 2: I know ain't listening to the show. My show is worldwide,
- 10:31Speaker 2: but not underwater. My show is worldwide, but I don't
- 10:35Speaker 2: like up high places, and my show is worldwide. I
- 10:38Speaker 2: don't care for people that dig holes, Ladies and gentlemen.

- 16:38Speaker 5: you know you can handle being married to her, and
- 16:40Speaker 5: you come correct as a family member. And if you're
- 16:43Speaker 5: gonna come to pot, look then you bring a pot.
- 16:45Speaker 5: You ain't brain nothing.
- 16:46Speaker 14: I ain't gotta fearing nothing. I'm paying for this wed
- 16:49Speaker 14: and I don't give watch you up there, all that
- 16:50Speaker 14: money out on dropped for this? How about two bottles
- 16:53Speaker 14: of wine to it?
- 16:54Speaker 5: You bought when I ain't seen no wine. I don't
- 16:57Speaker 5: care if you got that wine or not.
- 16:58Speaker 14: I saw her mama drinking it.
- 17:00Speaker 5: Okay, well, I ain't getting no wine. I don't remember

- 17:14Speaker 14: over twenty three thousand.
- 17:15Speaker 5: Dollars on that, Hey man, I didn't already told you that.
- 17:17Speaker 5: The family then voted on that the wind name. I
- 17:20Speaker 5: don't give up what the family voted on.
- 17:23Speaker 15: I them pay for this.
- 17:24Speaker 14: I ain't heard nothing from Christian about this.
- 17:26Speaker 5: Christen might not know what we'd done voted on. We
- 17:29Speaker 5: made the decisions sometimes for everybody you undersaying that.
- 17:33Speaker 14: Don't include me.
- 17:34Speaker 5: We'll let Christian know that we's gonna stop the web.
- 17:37Speaker 5: I'm just calling to let you know before I didn't
- 17:39Speaker 5: even tell her. What's up you.
- 17:40Speaker 14: Trying to tell me?
- 17:41Speaker 5: Christen don't even know now. We ain't told her that
- 17:43Speaker 5: we don't agree with you yet and that we're gonna
- 17:45Speaker 5: stop the win. We ain't told of it. Man, get
- 17:47Speaker 5: out of here.
- 17:48Speaker 14: I don't paid all this money for this. Man, y'all
- 17:49Speaker 14: ain't stopping.
- 17:50Speaker 5: Hey, man, I done already told you what we're doing.
- 17:53Speaker 2: All right.
- 17:53Speaker 5: I'm not finna continue to go back and forth with you.
- 17:56Speaker 14: Better go off my alreadys and your voice at me.
- 17:59Speaker 5: I don't know, hell you I tell you what. Let
- 18:01Speaker 5: me say this to you. I don't care if I
- 18:02Speaker 5: got to bust up in that church and stop this
- 18:05Speaker 5: wedding because you then win against what we just said.
- 18:07Speaker 5: Whatever I got to do.
- 18:09Speaker 15: I don't know who you with.
- 18:10Speaker 5: I wish yoall was try to stop this wedding. Look
- 18:13Speaker 5: we can have a list right now, I can get
- 18:15Speaker 5: off of work. I'm already going.
- 18:16Speaker 14: Through some books and I'm already on fire. I will

- 42:51Speaker 9: Some of them get the call. You know, it happens.
- 42:54Speaker 9: Sometimes your son didn't make the team. I will say it,
- 43:00Speaker 9: your son.
- 43:03Speaker 2: Didn't make the team. Let's go get.
- 43:07Speaker 19: Hello.
- 43:08Speaker 5: Hello, I'm trying to reach miss Lydial. This is she.
- 43:13Speaker 5: This is coach Watkins up at the up at the school.
- 43:15Speaker 19: How are you, hey, Coach Watkins?
- 43:17Speaker 15: I'm fine.
- 43:18Speaker 19: What can I do for you?
- 43:19Speaker 5: Listen, We've had Maleik out for the last week and
- 43:23Speaker 5: a half. He's been coming to practice here at at
- 43:26Speaker 5: the Junior High School and wanted to reach out and
- 43:29Speaker 5: give you a call about everything that's going on.
- 43:31Speaker 19: Oh yeah, well, I know he's really excited. He can't
- 43:34Speaker 19: wait to start this season. He's ready walking all somewhere.
- 43:37Speaker 5: You know what, I'll be honest with you. He's a
- 43:40Speaker 5: great kid and he's got a good heart, and he's
- 43:44Speaker 5: really really really trying and trying to produce as much
- 43:47Speaker 5: as possible.
- 43:48Speaker 19: Well, you know, he loves the game and he's been playing.
- 43:50Speaker 15: Since he was a little kid.
- 43:52Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, you know, this is you know, this is
- 43:55Speaker 5: the seventh grade. This is the first time some of
- 43:58Speaker 5: these kids have played organized football, and this is the
- 44:01Speaker 5: first time playing school football. And it's it's a big
- 44:04Speaker 5: it's a big transition that if you've been playing Little
- 44:07Speaker 5: league ball or Pop Warner or whatever you want to
- 44:10Speaker 5: call it. It's a it's a big difference, in a
- 44:12Speaker 5: big transition to go from one to the other. You understand, Yeah,
- 44:16Speaker 5: I do understand.
- 44:17Speaker 19: But Malik is been working really hard, yes, and he's ready.
- 44:19Speaker 5: Well well, well let me let me say this. My
- 44:22Speaker 5: main reason for calling you is letting you know that
- 44:24Speaker 5: Malague as of right now, is not going to be
- 44:28Speaker 5: able to make the cut as far as what you think, Well,
- 44:33Speaker 5: he's not going to be able to make the cut
- 44:34Speaker 5: as far as being on the team for this year.
- 44:37Speaker 15: Now, I got you said, wait, wait, you said that Malik.
- 44:43Speaker 19: Is not gonna be able to make the team, said
- 44:46Speaker 19: the team.
- 44:48Speaker 5: He's a great kid, you know, he's a great.
- 44:50Speaker 19: I know he's a great kid, but wait man, Now,
- 44:53Speaker 19: he didn't play Pop Warner and he was a SUNN quarterback,
- 44:56Speaker 19: So what are you talking about. He's not going to
- 44:58Speaker 19: make the team this year. He was the best they
- 45:00Speaker 19: had out on that squad.
- 45:01Speaker 5: Okay, and you know what, I've heard a lot about him.
- 45:04Speaker 5: I heard he did a great job.
- 45:06Speaker 15: Heard about him.
- 45:07Speaker 19: Wait a minute, what man, have you seen his deep
- 45:09Speaker 19: twenty touchdowns in the season?
- 45:11Speaker 15: I who know the kids is out there doing that.
- 45:13Speaker 5: But you know what, but right now, we got a
- 45:15Speaker 5: lot of different kids that are coming into this particular school,
- 45:19Speaker 5: so you know, the competition has gone greater and greater
- 45:22Speaker 5: than what we could possibly understand.
- 45:24Speaker 19: Wait a minute, when this is seventh grade, first of all,
- 45:27Speaker 19: everybody makes the team. Nobody gets cut in the first place.
- 45:30Speaker 15: You got an A team and a B team.
- 45:32Speaker 19: So you're telling me my baby ain't made none of
- 45:35Speaker 19: them teams?
- 45:35Speaker 5: Right right now, miss Lydia. You know, like I said,
- 45:40Speaker 5: Milika is a great kid. I like it.
- 45:42Speaker 15: I know what Milik is. I know that he's a
- 45:44Speaker 15: great kid and he's a ballplayer.
- 45:46Speaker 19: Now I make sure that so don't come telling me
- 45:49Speaker 19: that he's not good enough to make.
- 45:50Speaker 15: The cut on this seventh grade team. Well, come telling
- 45:53Speaker 15: me who who is the quarterback?
- 45:55Speaker 14: Who?
- 45:56Speaker 15: Yeah, you tell me what's going on?
- 45:57Speaker 19: Who is the quarterback?
- 45:58Speaker 5: Well? Actually, right now, my son is the quarterback.
- 46:02Speaker 19: Your son, well, I mean you know.
- 46:06Speaker 5: I played, Yeah, is actually the quarterback. He hasn't done
- 46:10Speaker 5: any Pop Warner or anything, but he really has what
- 46:13Speaker 5: it takes to be.
- 46:15Speaker 15: Never played football before, or he's never played organized football.
- 46:20Speaker 19: But he he's.
- 46:21Speaker 15: Gonna be the quarterback for the seventh grade team.
- 46:23Speaker 19: Is that what you're telling me?
- 46:24Speaker 5: Well, yeah, my son is actually a starting quarterback. But
- 46:26Speaker 5: that but that my son don't make the team and
- 46:30Speaker 5: my son score twenty touchdown?
- 46:33Speaker 15: Twenty touchdown? Is that what you're telling me?
- 46:35Speaker 5: Ah?
- 46:36Speaker 19: Hell no, this is I'm calling up to that school tomorrow.
- 46:39Speaker 15: I will be up there tomorrow.
- 46:42Speaker 5: Let me explain something. No no, no, no, no, no, no no.
- 46:48Speaker 19: I don't know what this is, this nepotism or whatever
- 46:50Speaker 19: you got going on around here.
- 46:52Speaker 15: But hell no, my son ain't Nathan what.
- 46:56Speaker 19: Hell no, it's gonna be smoking the city to mind when.
- 46:59Speaker 15: I get up there, Miss Lydia.
- 47:02Speaker 5: What I want to say this is that if your
- 47:04Speaker 5: son would take a year off lord and try to
- 47:06Speaker 5: get itself together and get the fundamentals together together, a
- 47:12Speaker 5: greater football player when he gets to be headed to
- 47:15Speaker 5: the eighth grade.
- 47:16Speaker 15: He was the wrong this thaw last year. What you
- 47:18Speaker 15: talking about this fundamentals together? Your son ain't never even played.
- 47:21Speaker 5: Well, you know what. I've worked with my son and
- 47:24Speaker 5: you know, and it's a little it's a little awkward
- 47:27Speaker 5: for me to try to talk about what my son
- 47:29Speaker 5: has done.
- 47:30Speaker 15: Yeah, you talking about because you don't know what your
- 47:32Speaker 15: son has done, because ain't nobody ever seen your touch?
- 47:35Speaker 15: You just got this dream probably something that you ain't
- 47:37Speaker 15: did you want to live vicency through him? Hell no,
- 47:40Speaker 15: that's just about it.
- 47:42Speaker 5: I don't like in school. I played in high school.
- 47:45Speaker 5: And let me say this, I'm trying to do the
- 47:48Speaker 5: best that I can and the best of my ability
- 47:50Speaker 5: to make sure that everybody gets a good and fair
- 47:53Speaker 5: shot at what's going on.
- 47:54Speaker 15: I said, But he don't get to play, so what
- 47:56Speaker 15: about getting get the.
- 47:59Speaker 5: Players are even work out to be a better.
- 48:02Speaker 15: Some brdle tell that to the mother mothers.

- 48:05Speaker 15: I bet you, I guarantee you this my son to
- 48:07Speaker 15: be starting this year.
- 48:08Speaker 19: I guarantee you this you don't.
- 48:10Speaker 15: Want none of that, Okay.
- 48:11Speaker 5: Right now, all I can say is I need Malik
- 48:14Speaker 5: to actually bring his cliques back because my son's gonna
- 48:18Speaker 5: need him to play in I took them.
- 48:22Speaker 15: Your son ain't getting Your son's running down that field,

- 48:47Speaker 5: that maligu about to do.
- 48:50Speaker 15: You started looking for a new job.

- 52:16Speaker 2: Strawberry Letter.
- 52:18Speaker 4: Who's that all right?
- 52:20Speaker 10: Subject I'm stressed out in my classroom. Dear Stephen Shirley.
- 52:24Speaker 10: I am a thirty two year old man, and I
- 52:27Speaker 10: just started a job teaching adults that are getting a
- 52:31Speaker 10: ged I'm loving it so far, but I need advice
- 52:35Speaker 10: on how to handle a very aggressive female student in
- 52:39Speaker 10: her early sixties. At the end of one of my lectures,
- 52:43Speaker 10: she approached me and asked, what Jim I go to
- 52:45Speaker 10: because I have a very nice body. I blushed and
- 52:49Speaker 10: didn't know what to say. She winked at me and left.
- 52:52Speaker 10: Another day, she showed up to class in a very
- 52:55Speaker 10: revealing outfit and said she was going out afterwards with
- 52:58Speaker 10: her girls and invited me to join them because she
- 53:01Speaker 10: was looking for a young guy who could keep up
- 53:03Speaker 10: with her on the dance floor. I told her I
- 53:05Speaker 10: don't have a lot of time for that, but the
- 53:07Speaker 10: truth is she scares the heck heck out of me.
- 53:12Speaker 10: The next day, she came to class with a bag
- 53:14Speaker 10: of cherries. She said they were from a tree in
- 53:17Speaker 10: her backyard and for fun, she likes the tie. She
- 53:20Speaker 10: likes to tie the cherry stems in knots with her tongue,
- 53:24Speaker 10: and she asked me if I would like.
- 53:26Speaker 4: To watch her do it.
- 53:27Speaker 10: She said it was a gift for me being such
- 53:29Speaker 10: a good teacher, and then she told me to pick
- 53:32Speaker 10: the darkest cherries because they have the sweetest juice. Then
- 53:36Speaker 10: she winked at me again and left. I'm an Asian
- 53:39Speaker 10: guy and she's a dark brown woman, so I hope
- 53:42Speaker 10: she won't think it's a race thing when I firmly
- 53:45Speaker 10: reject her and tell her that she's being inappropriate. I
- 53:49Speaker 10: can't risk any rumors of impropriety at work.
- 53:52Speaker 13: And she's old enough to be my mother, So she
- 53:54Speaker 13: does not turn me on at all?
- 53:56Speaker 10: How can I stop her from acting out and making
- 53:59Speaker 10: these commons without upsetting her? I get very stressed out
- 54:02Speaker 10: knowing she's coming to class. You should see her, Please
- 54:06Speaker 10: help me. Well, I gotta say, first of all, it's
- 54:09Speaker 10: a great service you're providing, so thank you for that.
- 54:12Speaker 4: Teaching adults ged, that's great.
- 54:15Speaker 10: Thank you As for your very aggressive and way over
- 54:19Speaker 10: the top cougar student. Yeah, she's out of order, she's
- 54:22Speaker 10: out of line. And you know what, if it were
- 54:24Speaker 10: the other way around, where an older man was harassing
- 54:27Speaker 10: his young student, this letter would take a whole another turn.
- 54:30Speaker 10: So you're going to have to do what you have
- 54:31Speaker 10: to do here, you know. Yeah, you don't want to
- 54:34Speaker 10: get in trouble for impropriety. Like you say, she doesn't
- 54:38Speaker 10: turn you on. She's being very inappropriate as.
- 54:43Speaker 1: A student either.
- 54:45Speaker 10: You're going to have to be firm with her in
- 54:48Speaker 10: no uncertain terms. You will not tolerate that in your classroom.
- 54:51Speaker 10: If she continues, you're going to have to ask her
- 54:53Speaker 10: to leave. You can ignore her every time she does anything,
- 54:59Speaker 10: simply ignore her. But it's because she's so aggressive.
- 55:02Speaker 4: I think you need to.
- 55:03Speaker 10: Firmly sit her down and tell her she's out of order.
- 55:07Speaker 10: The revealing outfits, the cherries, the innuendos with the darker
- 55:11Speaker 10: the berry, the sweeter, the juice, and all of that,
- 55:14Speaker 10: there's no place for it in your classroom. And if
- 55:17Speaker 10: she doesn't, if she doesn't stop, you're going to have
- 55:19Speaker 10: to ask her to leave. Simple as that. And that's
- 55:23Speaker 10: what I think.
- 55:23Speaker 2: You should do. All right, Steve, Well, y'all pray for
- 55:30Speaker 2: me here I'll go. No you up. Thirty two year
- 55:34Speaker 2: old man started the job teaching adults that's getting the
- 55:39Speaker 2: ged I love it, but I've got a problem. I
- 55:43Speaker 2: got this aggressive female student in her early sixties, and
- 55:48Speaker 2: at the end of one of the classes, she came
- 55:50Speaker 2: to me, ask you, what Jimmy go to? You know,
- 55:53Speaker 2: you know, because you got a nice body, you blush.
- 55:57Speaker 2: You ain't know what to say. She winked at you
- 55:59Speaker 2: in there. You left. Then she saw it one day
- 56:03Speaker 2: with a revealing outfit. On said she was gonna go
- 56:07Speaker 2: out afterwards with her girls and invited me to join
- 56:11Speaker 2: them because she's looking for a young guy who can
- 56:13Speaker 2: keep up with her on the dance floor. Let's stop.
- 56:15Speaker 2: Let's break this down for a minute. She and her sixties.
- 56:18Speaker 2: How hard is it gonna be to keep up with
- 56:21Speaker 2: her this damn dance? How hard is her ass dancing?
- 56:26Speaker 2: I'm sixty and I can tell you right now, I'm
- 56:29Speaker 2: sixty two. I just like that little back and forward
- 56:32Speaker 2: movie side to the side. That's all I got for you.
- 56:36Speaker 5: Ain't on.
- 56:37Speaker 2: She ain't out there breakdancing for spinning on her head
- 56:41Speaker 2: running man? All that cost? Hey mad No, she just
- 56:46Speaker 2: standing there with her old ass going from side to side.
- 56:50Speaker 2: So you should have went now then she I told her,
- 56:56Speaker 2: you don't have a lot of time for that. But
- 57:00Speaker 2: the truth is she scared the hell out you. Now
- 57:03Speaker 2: here she make a move. Now she comes to class.
- 57:05Speaker 2: Got this bag of cherries, she said, they from a
- 57:09Speaker 2: tree in her backyard. Now, let me tell you something
- 57:12Speaker 2: about old people. Old people like picking stuff and giving
- 57:16Speaker 2: it away. I'm surprised she didn't can nothing for So
- 57:25Speaker 2: it starts with just picking something. Then she gonna can
- 57:30Speaker 2: something for you. Then she gonna go down the basement
- 57:34Speaker 2: and come out with she gonna have some preserves for you.
- 57:38Speaker 2: Then she gonna fry you some skillet coin and bring
- 57:41Speaker 2: it to work. That's how it start. Old people always
- 57:45Speaker 2: want to give you something to eat. All right. Now,
- 57:50Speaker 2: she got this bag of cherries, and she said, for fun,
- 57:54Speaker 2: she liked to tie the cherry stems in knots with
- 57:57Speaker 2: her tongue, and asked me if you wanted to watch her.
- 58:00Speaker 2: She's too old for this. You know, you watch a
- 58:04Speaker 2: girl when she twenty thirty times a steal with her tongue.
- 58:08Speaker 2: It's exciting. When you're sixty something, you could tie steal
- 58:12Speaker 2: with your tongue. People be going, what is your old
- 58:15Speaker 2: last doing? You need to get that steal out your
- 58:21Speaker 2: mouth full, You mess around, choke yourself. When I come back,
- 58:26Speaker 2: I'm gonna give you the rest of it because I
- 58:28Speaker 2: know what's wrong, and I'm gonna tell you how to
- 58:30Speaker 2: handle this.
- 58:31Speaker 10: All right, Steve, We'll have part two of your response
- 58:33Speaker 10: coming up at twenty three after the hour.
- 58:36Speaker 13: Subject of today's Strawberry letter.
- 58:38Speaker 10: I'm stressed out in the classroom right after this. You're
- 58:42Speaker 10: listening Steve Hardy Morning Show. All right, Steve, come on,
- 58:46Speaker 10: let's recap today's Strawberry letter.
- 58:47Speaker 2: Subject.
- 58:48Speaker 4: I'm stressed out in my classroom.
- 58:50Speaker 2: Thirty two year old dude teaching adults how to get
- 58:52Speaker 2: their ged is uncomfortable because this sixty year old woman
- 58:55Speaker 2: is hitting on him. You know. She won't to get
- 59:00Speaker 2: at him and invited her to dance. He said he
- 59:02Speaker 2: didn't want to go. She need a young man to
- 59:04Speaker 2: keep up with her. She and her sixties that you
- 59:06Speaker 2: could have went. They sixty year old people can't dance
- 59:10Speaker 2: that long. Dog. I can tell you that my damn self.
- 59:13Speaker 2: You know, one or two dances, they go, sit down,
- 59:15Speaker 2: they need She got taken shoes off everything. I told her.
- 59:18Speaker 2: I ain't ever had time for that. And you don't
- 59:21Speaker 2: like her because she's scared you. Then she brought this
- 59:23Speaker 2: bag of cherries and said she picked him from a tree.
- 59:26Speaker 2: I just tried to remind you last time. Old people
- 59:28Speaker 2: like to pick stuff and give it away, flowers, cotton, cherries, apples.
- 59:37Speaker 2: Like I said, I'm surprised she didn't care nothing for
- 59:40Speaker 2: you and offer you some preserves. But if you keep
- 59:43Speaker 2: on though, your ass gonna get a sweater made. You
- 59:46Speaker 2: can believe that because knitting is next. She said it
- 59:51Speaker 2: was a gift for me for being she asked. First
- 59:54Speaker 2: of all, she tied these steals with her tongue too,
- 59:57Speaker 2: And then she asked you if you wanted to watch
- 59:59Speaker 2: her do But that's not exciting watching a sixty year
- 1:00:02Speaker 2: old woman tie stem with her tongue, because you know
- 1:00:05Speaker 2: she keep pushing her tongue up against the roof of
- 1:00:07Speaker 2: her mom trying to tie that stem. Push them damn
- 1:00:10Speaker 2: deniers out, and it's gonna throw the whole thing off.
- 1:00:13Speaker 2: She said, it was a gift for me for being
- 1:00:17Speaker 2: such a good teacher. Well, you don't have your ged yet, lady,
- 1:00:23Speaker 2: so I don't know how good a damn teacher he is.
- 1:00:26Speaker 2: And then he turned. Then she told you to pick
- 1:00:28Speaker 2: the darkest cherish because we had the sweetest juice, and
- 1:00:31Speaker 2: she winked and left again. Now I'm an Asian guy
- 1:00:35Speaker 2: and she's a dark brown woman. Okay, so let me
- 1:00:37Speaker 2: hip you to some culture. When she told you to
- 1:00:40Speaker 2: pick the darkest cherish because they had the sweetest juice,
- 1:00:44Speaker 2: that comes from the saying the black of the berry,
- 1:00:46Speaker 2: the sweet of the juice. She being a very chocolate
- 1:00:50Speaker 2: brown woman. It's a suggestion that she's juicy. That's all
- 1:00:54Speaker 2: that means. So now, because you're an Asian guy, she's
- 1:00:58Speaker 2: a dark brown woman. You don't want her to think
- 1:01:00Speaker 2: it's a race thing when you firmly reject her and
- 1:01:04Speaker 2: tell her that she's being inappropriate. Now, let me tell
- 1:01:07Speaker 2: you what might happen to you here when you reject her.
- 1:01:10Speaker 9: She old.
- 1:01:12Speaker 2: And she's sixty two. You might get your ass slapped.
- 1:01:17Speaker 2: You just might. I ain't promising it, but you might.
- 1:01:23Speaker 2: She sound a little tough now. She out picking cherry,
- 1:01:25Speaker 2: climbing trees and stuff in the backyard. You know if
- 1:01:29Speaker 2: she go dance and she might be in some kind
- 1:01:31Speaker 2: of shape. But you gonna reject her. And because of what, Well,
- 1:01:42Speaker 2: let's talk about this first. Let me get how can
- 1:01:44Speaker 2: I stop her from acting out in making these comments.
- 1:01:48Speaker 2: You can't risk any rumors or impropriety at work, not
- 1:01:51Speaker 2: in these days and times. You can't can't stop her
- 1:01:54Speaker 2: from acting out and making these comments about upsetting her
- 1:01:57Speaker 2: without upsetting her. I'm very stress south knowing she's coming
- 1:02:01Speaker 2: to class. You should see her, Please help me. Well,
- 1:02:06Speaker 2: we can't see her, but you gotta start saying something slick.
- 1:02:12Speaker 2: You're gonna have to hurt her feelings though, because she's
- 1:02:16Speaker 2: sixty and she really aggressive, and I don't know how
- 1:02:21Speaker 2: I could suggest to you without being offensive.
- 1:02:24Speaker 3: So don't.
- 1:02:27Speaker 4: So don't go down that road.
- 1:02:28Speaker 2: Okay. Well, okay, Shirley, Well I'm not gonna go down
- 1:02:31Speaker 2: that road. But supposed, though, I'm just hypothetical. Okay, suppose
- 1:02:36Speaker 2: he just would say to her, he don't he don't
- 1:02:41Speaker 2: like uneducated with me. You not just say that. I'm
- 1:02:47Speaker 2: just saying, I ad suppose that. Suppose Okay, let me
- 1:02:53Speaker 2: see how I could dress this up for you. Maybe
- 1:02:55Speaker 2: if he said I like to be with someone that
- 1:02:58Speaker 2: I'm equally yoke with.
- 1:03:01Speaker 4: Okay, that's better.
- 1:03:03Speaker 2: And then she said, well, what do you mean by that? Well,
- 1:03:05Speaker 2: your ass is old as you don't have a high
- 1:03:08Speaker 2: school diploma.
- 1:03:09Speaker 4: No, he cannot say that, and.
- 1:03:11Speaker 2: I have a college education. No. I mean, I'm just
- 1:03:16Speaker 2: trying to say how he can say that they're not
- 1:03:18Speaker 2: equally yoked. I'm just trying what he could do. You
- 1:03:21Speaker 2: need to take all these tight air clothes off and
- 1:03:23Speaker 2: learn these damn multiple. You need to take all these
- 1:03:29Speaker 2: tight air clothes off and sit out over here and
- 1:03:32Speaker 2: learn these damn timetables over here. That's why you ain't
- 1:03:38Speaker 2: got no diploma. Now tying these chair stems.
- 1:03:41Speaker 4: With your damn tongue.
- 1:03:44Speaker 2: You should have been paying attention to school, you sitting
- 1:03:47Speaker 2: up in the math class tying stems with your tongue.
- 1:03:52Speaker 2: Now you're too old for this. And since your fast
- 1:03:56Speaker 2: ass down somewhere and your stomach is too big for.
- 1:03:59Speaker 20: That tight ass dress, you don't know that you're gonna
- 1:04:04Speaker 20: have to say.
- 1:04:05Speaker 2: Something to get the attention. Yeah, and take them old
- 1:04:08Speaker 2: lass wedge heels off, and nah, I don't want no
- 1:04:16Speaker 2: damn crochet car. I'll go out with you if you
- 1:04:21Speaker 2: could tell me the square root to eighty one.
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: All right, thank you sir.

- 1:07:31Speaker 2: you when you come back home. Who wow, drive what
- 1:07:38Speaker 2: you need to go? Slow? Anyway?
- 1:07:40Speaker 10: That's not even less Today we'll have more of the
- 1:07:45Speaker 10: Steve Harvey Morning Show right after this.
- 1:07:47Speaker 4: You're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:07:52Speaker 10: All right, So, Steve, I saw this video on social
- 1:07:55Speaker 10: media media recently of a man who was honest about
- 1:07:59Speaker 10: why he ditched women without any explanation, any closure. I
- 1:08:04Speaker 10: know you say men don't do closure, but he said
- 1:08:07Speaker 10: that the woman he ghosted was either too much for
- 1:08:10Speaker 10: him at the time and that meant to him that
- 1:08:14Speaker 10: he didn't measure up to her. So he was trying
- 1:08:16Speaker 10: to explain and put a button on why you know
- 1:08:19Speaker 10: he did what he did in the past or was
- 1:08:22Speaker 10: he looking for the past of the path of least
- 1:08:25Speaker 10: resistance here?
- 1:08:27Speaker 5: No.
- 1:08:27Speaker 2: I think women have to understand something. You know, like
- 1:08:30Speaker 2: I've always told them. I've said, you know, a lot
- 1:08:32Speaker 2: of times when a man break up with you, a
- 1:08:34Speaker 2: woman immediately goes to or what's wrong with me? That's
- 1:08:37Speaker 2: not always the case. As a matter of fact, the
- 1:08:39Speaker 2: majority of cases has not anything to do with you.
- 1:08:42Speaker 2: It's something wrong with the man. It's just this brother
- 1:08:45Speaker 2: online admitted that it was him that he couldn't measure up,
- 1:08:50Speaker 2: that he wasn't ready, that he wasn't the man for
- 1:08:53Speaker 2: the job, and that oftentimes is the case. And the
- 1:08:57Speaker 2: reason men don't give you closure is because most men
- 1:09:00Speaker 2: are not going to admit that ain't no. Don't no
- 1:09:04Speaker 2: man want to come to you and go, you know, look,
- 1:09:06Speaker 2: I just ain't man enough. You too much. Some men
- 1:09:10Speaker 2: will do it, but a lot of men have broken
- 1:09:12Speaker 2: up with women and just went, hey, look it ain't you,
- 1:09:15Speaker 2: it's me, and then that's it.
- 1:09:18Speaker 4: Yeah, And what does that mean?
- 1:09:20Speaker 2: Yeah, but it means what this brother was saying, You
- 1:09:22Speaker 2: were too much for me. You had some requirements I
- 1:09:25Speaker 2: couldn't live up to. Your standards were too high. I'm
- 1:09:29Speaker 2: not enough man for the woman you are. I can't
- 1:09:33Speaker 2: feel the job application requirements out. I'm not ready for that.
- 1:09:40Speaker 2: I want a woman who's less than you. I need
- 1:09:43Speaker 2: somebody who's just less because you just too much now.
- 1:09:48Speaker 2: And then they go on and they find women who
- 1:09:51Speaker 2: are less and try to have relationship with them, and
- 1:09:55Speaker 2: women get mad because how can he just move on
- 1:09:57Speaker 2: and start in a relationship. Maybe he found less? Yeah,
- 1:10:01Speaker 2: maybe he did.
- 1:10:02Speaker 4: I do you know.
- 1:10:03Speaker 2: What's to stop blaming yourself? What's wrong with stop blaming yourself?
- 1:10:08Speaker 4: It's your life because a lot of women do that.
- 1:10:13Speaker 9: Some men don't care about closure, you know, just they
- 1:10:15Speaker 9: just move on and let you figure it out on
- 1:10:17Speaker 9: your own.
- 1:10:18Speaker 2: And that's usually the case, because I wrote a chapter
- 1:10:22Speaker 2: men don't do closure because normally we don't and Tommy
- 1:10:25Speaker 2: is exactly right. The majority of the time we just walk, well,
- 1:10:28Speaker 2: know you nothing, you work through it out, and most
- 1:10:32Speaker 2: a lot of men ain't gonna admit to their shortcomings.
- 1:10:35Speaker 2: And then me and we don't feel like it's our obligation,
- 1:10:38Speaker 2: I mean, and in truth, what happened to us was
- 1:10:41Speaker 2: we didn't work. Now we ain't got to get seat
- 1:10:44Speaker 2: now standing here and calling you back to explain why
- 1:10:48Speaker 2: you know what that's gonna lead into.
- 1:10:53Speaker 10: At that moment when you decide not to do closure
- 1:10:56Speaker 10: and move on?
- 1:10:56Speaker 4: What is going through your mind? What's going through the
- 1:10:59Speaker 4: mind of a man?
- 1:11:01Speaker 2: Wasn't over? Well?
- 1:11:02Speaker 4: Who was?
- 1:11:04Speaker 2: Yeah? Who behind you I'm looking for? Yeah, it's over.
- 1:11:07Speaker 13: So there's no guilt, there's no remorse.
- 1:11:10Speaker 2: No what I got? Well, I got to be killed.
- 1:11:12Speaker 2: Are we getting out of something that ain't working for me?
- 1:11:14Speaker 8: And you?
- 1:11:14Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm doing you a fake. I'm getting out of
- 1:11:17Speaker 2: here now because this ain't working. You may think it's working,
- 1:11:19Speaker 2: but all this arguing and all this what I ain't
- 1:11:22Speaker 2: what you don't do? And where was you? And all
- 1:11:24Speaker 2: this here? No no, no, no no, So you ain't
- 1:11:26Speaker 2: got to question me no more, and I ain't got
- 1:11:28Speaker 2: to answer the question.
- 1:11:29Speaker 1: I'm out.
- 1:11:31Speaker 2: That free yourself from having to wonder where I'm at anymore.
- 1:11:39Speaker 2: And that's really how man looks at it. And that's
- 1:11:42Speaker 2: a clean way to get out, because if it's over,
- 1:11:45Speaker 2: it's over the whole the how come? What happened? Why not?
- 1:11:49Speaker 2: We ain't got We don't really look it's over. No
- 1:11:52Speaker 2: matter what I say, you're not gonna like to answer.
- 1:11:55Speaker 2: So how about just no answer? And that's usually how
- 1:11:57Speaker 2: men look at that too. Don't we already know while
- 1:12:00Speaker 2: we leave it. Yeah, of course we know.
- 1:12:03Speaker 10: Okay, let me ask you this. Did you know when
- 1:12:06Speaker 10: you met the woman? Did you know already know that
- 1:12:09Speaker 10: she was too much for you? Or she was above
- 1:12:11Speaker 10: your prey grade or you know out of.
- 1:12:13Speaker 2: Your signs don't show up till late? Yeah, and then
- 1:12:18Speaker 2: and then you got to understand, y'all find this clouds.
- 1:12:22Speaker 4: Eyed you right?
- 1:12:23Speaker 2: Say that?
- 1:12:24Speaker 4: All right, Wow, this is good. This is good.
- 1:12:28Speaker 5: Guys.
- 1:12:28Speaker 10: We'll have more of the Steve Harvey Morning Show coming
- 1:12:31Speaker 10: up at twenty minutes after the hour. Right after this,
- 1:12:34Speaker 10: you're listening Harvey Morning Show. All right, So, Steve, before
- 1:12:40Speaker 10: we left, we were talking about men and they don't
- 1:12:43Speaker 10: do closure.
- 1:12:44Speaker 4: They just move on.
- 1:12:45Speaker 10: And a lot of times it is them, or most
- 1:12:47Speaker 10: times them and not the woman. Did you want to
- 1:12:50Speaker 10: add anything to that? You were saying you already knew
- 1:12:53Speaker 10: when you met the woman. Perhaps, well it was too
- 1:12:57Speaker 10: much for you.
- 1:12:57Speaker 2: When we meet a woman. I don't want to say game,
- 1:13:01Speaker 2: because every man that meets you not playing a game.
- 1:13:04Speaker 2: But game on. We now have to see what it's
- 1:13:07Speaker 2: gonna take to win you over. Now, if it's a lot,
- 1:13:11Speaker 2: we'll pretend to have a lot, but we can't sustain
- 1:13:15Speaker 2: the pretense, the pretension, we just can't sustain it. And
- 1:13:19Speaker 2: you know like oh yeah, yeah, yeah, I got myself together,
- 1:13:22Speaker 2: I'm holding I'm strong, I'm dedicated, I'm working. And then
- 1:13:24Speaker 2: when she keeps that pressure up, this is what I'm
- 1:13:27Speaker 2: looking for. This is what when did you or are
- 1:13:29Speaker 2: you still looking for a job? Did you still how's
- 1:13:32Speaker 2: the job hunt going? How's the business going? And they
- 1:13:34Speaker 2: gonna be cause they're gonna cause women gonna ask you
- 1:13:36Speaker 2: because women want to feel safe, and that's an important
- 1:13:40Speaker 2: thing for a woman. She wants to feel safe and
- 1:13:43Speaker 2: so in you coming alonger in her life, whereas the
- 1:13:46Speaker 2: security in this relationship. So it's not that she's a
- 1:13:49Speaker 2: gold digger or nothing like that, she just wants to
- 1:13:52Speaker 2: feel safe. Now, we've created the term gold digger to
- 1:13:56Speaker 2: keep you out of our pockets and keep you from
- 1:13:57Speaker 2: talking about our money. And women are stupid for falling
- 1:14:00Speaker 2: into that trip, let me tell you, because you want
- 1:14:03Speaker 2: to feel safe. And so now once we find out
- 1:14:06Speaker 2: that these safety questions is going to keep coming, we
- 1:14:09Speaker 2: get nervous and we back out.
- 1:14:12Speaker 4: Good information, good information.
- 1:14:14Speaker 10: We'll have more of a Steve Harvey Morning Show coming
- 1:14:16Speaker 10: up at thirty three minutes after and we'll do a round.
- 1:14:19Speaker 10: Would you rather right after this? You're listening Hardy Morning Show.
- 1:14:25Speaker 13: All right time.
- 1:14:26Speaker 10: Now, guys, we're around of would you rather? Would you
- 1:14:29Speaker 10: rather mow your own lawn for one year? Or would
- 1:14:33Speaker 10: you rather be living huh.
- 1:14:36Speaker 2: B b okay?
- 1:14:39Speaker 4: Or would you rather.
- 1:14:42Speaker 10: Live in a four hundred square foot house for thirty days?
- 1:14:46Speaker 1: Well, I'm just gonna do b I mean, yeah, you
- 1:14:50Speaker 1: don't like tiny house, but.
- 1:14:53Speaker 2: You're talking about mowing for a year old.
- 1:14:55Speaker 4: Year your own lawn though, I'll.
- 1:14:57Speaker 9: Take that there today the house. Now, you're gonna have
- 1:15:04Speaker 9: a lot of uh bruises on your head because you're
- 1:15:07Speaker 9: gonna bump everything.
- 1:15:08Speaker 2: You're gonna bump your head. You you're gonna be messing.
- 1:15:11Speaker 4: After thirty you're talking about Steve right.
- 1:15:14Speaker 2: Yeah, every time he turned around. I'm gonna have trouble
- 1:15:18Speaker 2: using the bathroom that close to the kitchen. That's gonna
- 1:15:21Speaker 2: be my problem. You're fire problem getting there now now. Yeah,
- 1:15:26Speaker 2: I'm gonna have to burn a bed sheet while I'm
- 1:15:29Speaker 2: using the bathroom. So we not having this over here
- 1:15:32Speaker 2: by the kitchen because I'm telling you right now, I'm
- 1:15:37Speaker 2: gonna have to start a fire every time I go
- 1:15:39Speaker 2: to the bathroom and a little tiny house, we've got
- 1:15:44Speaker 2: to get some soot in here or something.
- 1:15:51Speaker 10: All right, Moving on, temmy, since you brought it up,
- 1:15:54Speaker 10: would you rather be five five and a billionaire? B
- 1:15:59Speaker 10: or or six four and just earn you know, five
- 1:16:03Speaker 10: figures annually?
- 1:16:05Speaker 2: I'm gonna go I take that five fight.
- 1:16:08Speaker 1: I'm good five because it five figures or six figures?
- 1:16:11Speaker 4: Five figures?
- 1:16:12Speaker 2: You said billion Oh you're talking about the other guy.
- 1:16:14Speaker 4: Yeah, would you rather be five five and a billionaire?
- 1:16:17Speaker 10: Would you rather be six four and earn five figures annually?
- 1:16:21Speaker 9: No, I'm gonna go with five five. When I stand
- 1:16:23Speaker 9: on my wallet, I'm taller than the room.
- 1:16:26Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm trying to how about six figures?
- 1:16:30Speaker 9: I'm still going. I'm still going with that five five.
- 1:16:32Speaker 9: I ain't got a problem with this firefive.
- 1:16:33Speaker 2: I got no problem with you not with them fast
- 1:16:37Speaker 2: shouldn't Yeah, what shouldn't? It is what it is. You
- 1:16:42Speaker 2: know you have to deal with it, and me personally,
- 1:16:46Speaker 2: I have a problem with it. I'm gonna be six
- 1:16:48Speaker 2: foke giving them six figures and let me try to
- 1:16:50Speaker 2: flip it.
- 1:16:53Speaker 4: Like a millionaire.
- 1:16:56Speaker 2: I'm not gonna try to explain myself to everybody I meet.
- 1:17:00Speaker 2: Why so now I just got to add to what
- 1:17:02Speaker 2: you're looking at.
- 1:17:05Speaker 1: All right, here's one here, y'all keep staring.
- 1:17:07Speaker 2: At me phone. You're five fat?
- 1:17:10Speaker 10: Come on, would you rather have a six pack in
- 1:17:13Speaker 10: really nice arms or would you rather have nice teeth
- 1:17:17Speaker 10: and a great personality?
- 1:17:20Speaker 1: Six and really nice arms?
- 1:17:25Speaker 10: We're back and really nice arms or nice teeth and
- 1:17:28Speaker 10: a great personality. That seemed like to be a hard one,
- 1:17:32Speaker 10: So we'll save it for later. Coming up at forty
- 1:17:35Speaker 10: nine minutes after the hour closing remarks.
- 1:17:38Speaker 4: You're listening morning show.
- 1:17:41Speaker 10: All right, guys, here we are last break of the
- 1:17:43Speaker 10: day on this Monday, and Steve, you have some closing
- 1:17:48Speaker 10: remarks for us.
- 1:17:49Speaker 2: I know, all right, listen uh Today this morning, before
- 1:17:56Speaker 2: we got on the air, I was sitting I was
- 1:17:58Speaker 2: talking to j Anthony and Junior when you're having a conversation,
- 1:18:03Speaker 2: and they said, man, you should do that for your
- 1:18:05Speaker 2: clothes and remarks today. So this is based on a
- 1:18:08Speaker 2: conversation we have. We were talking about advancing in life.
- 1:18:15Speaker 2: We were having a conversation about what you are willing
- 1:18:21Speaker 2: to do to advance in life? Are you are you
- 1:18:26Speaker 2: willing to drop everything are you willing to make sacrifices?
- 1:18:33Speaker 17: What are you.
- 1:18:34Speaker 2: Willing to do to get to where you really want
- 1:18:37Speaker 2: to be? So, what we were talking, I was talking
- 1:18:40Speaker 2: about a person that I know that had a decision
- 1:18:45Speaker 2: to make. He has a nice home, he has a
- 1:18:51Speaker 2: good job, and he lives in a certain city. Right now,
- 1:18:58Speaker 2: He's got a nice home, a good job, and he
- 1:19:00Speaker 2: lives in a certain city. An opportunity was presented to him,
- 1:19:05Speaker 2: but the opportunity was in another city. But if he
- 1:19:10Speaker 2: took this opportunity, he would have a better job and
- 1:19:16Speaker 2: which would enable him to buy and even nicer home.
- 1:19:21Speaker 2: He didn't do it. As I was talking to my
- 1:19:25Speaker 2: friend about Man, why didn't you do it? He said, Hey, Man,
- 1:19:30Speaker 2: because I'm comfortable here. I'm all right with this, he said, Man,
- 1:19:36Speaker 2: my job, it's all right, he said. My house is cool. Man,
- 1:19:41Speaker 2: It's a little small, but it's cool and I like
- 1:19:45Speaker 2: living here.
- 1:19:46Speaker 9: Man.
- 1:19:46Speaker 2: I got some friends, I got some family here. This
- 1:19:48Speaker 2: city right here. I'm gonna just go home, stay here.
- 1:19:53Speaker 2: End of conversation. Steve, I know what You're gonna try
- 1:19:55Speaker 2: to talk with me out of it, but end of conversation.
- 1:19:58Speaker 2: So I stopped talking to him. But when I left him,
- 1:20:02Speaker 2: I was sad. Man, I was so sad for this guy,
- 1:20:07Speaker 2: and it never ever stopped bothering me. What he said.
- 1:20:13Speaker 2: He said, I'm okay here, I'm gonna just stay here.
- 1:20:17Speaker 2: My job is all right. Man. This house it's a
- 1:20:20Speaker 2: little small, but the city cool. I got some family
- 1:20:23Speaker 2: and friends is cool. I know you're gonna try to
- 1:20:27Speaker 2: talk me out of his Steve, but I'm good right here.
- 1:20:30Speaker 2: But that decision he made really bothered me. Because, Man,
- 1:20:34Speaker 2: I'll tell you why I troubled me so because I said, Wow,
- 1:20:37Speaker 2: here's a guy that I know whould have looked over
- 1:20:41Speaker 2: the fence with me. Man, a dude I grew up with. Man.
- 1:20:44Speaker 2: We used to ride our bikes. We sit on the
- 1:20:46Speaker 2: steps playing that's my car. When they came back. This
- 1:20:48Speaker 2: is the same dude. Man. We used to ride our
- 1:20:50Speaker 2: bikes and act like we was riding out the country.
- 1:20:53Speaker 2: Me and my dude. Man, we always talked about doing
- 1:20:56Speaker 2: something big, and when the opportunity came, he froze because
- 1:21:02Speaker 2: he was comfortable. He was comfortable with his all right
- 1:21:07Speaker 2: job in his house that wasn't really big enough. In
- 1:21:09Speaker 2: this city of friends and family that he had, he
- 1:21:13Speaker 2: didn't want to go to the new city. He didn't
- 1:21:16Speaker 2: want the job that paid more. He didn't want the
- 1:21:19Speaker 2: opportunity to buy a bigger home because it would have
- 1:21:22Speaker 2: taken him out of his comfort zone. Because he wasn't
- 1:21:25Speaker 2: comfortable in the new city. He was comfortable in the
- 1:21:28Speaker 2: current city. And they was already had just worked himself
- 1:21:31Speaker 2: up to say I'm okay with my house. The way
- 1:21:33Speaker 2: it is. You can be okay with the house you is.
- 1:21:36Speaker 2: You can be okay with the job. You can be
- 1:21:38Speaker 2: okay with the car you driving. But if opportunity presents
- 1:21:41Speaker 2: itself to become great. There are three things I'm about
- 1:21:46Speaker 2: to give you, and all three things say the exact
- 1:21:48Speaker 2: same thing. I'm just saying that three different ways in
- 1:21:51Speaker 2: case you got to hear it the best way you
- 1:21:52Speaker 2: need to hear it. These are all three the same thing,
- 1:21:56Speaker 2: just which one fits you best. You can't get there
- 1:22:00Speaker 2: if you all never attempt to go there one more time.
- 1:22:04Speaker 2: You cannot get there. If you never attempt to go there,
- 1:22:10Speaker 2: same thing, different way of saying it. You can't go
- 1:22:15Speaker 2: if you never leave. Then, my father say this to
- 1:22:19Speaker 2: me all time. You can't go, boy, If you never leave,
- 1:22:23Speaker 2: you know, man, you can't go. If your feet don't move,
- 1:22:27Speaker 2: you just can't. You can't go if you don't leave
- 1:22:30Speaker 2: where you're going. If you don't leave, If you don't leave,
- 1:22:32Speaker 2: you ain't going nowhere. You got to leave something to
- 1:22:35Speaker 2: get to the next level. The next level requires you
- 1:22:38Speaker 2: to leave. The next level requires you to go. You
- 1:22:44Speaker 2: can't stay right here and get over there. You cannot. Man.
- 1:22:50Speaker 2: Here's the third way to look at it. You have
- 1:22:54Speaker 2: to leave. If you want to grow, you cannot grow
- 1:23:00Speaker 2: staying there. You cannot expect to grow if you're unwilling
- 1:23:07Speaker 2: to change. If you're unwilling to change, you cannot expect
- 1:23:13Speaker 2: to grow. You can't, y'all. Let me say I'm to
- 1:23:18Speaker 2: you again. You can't get there if you never attempt
- 1:23:22Speaker 2: to go there. Maybe that's the way you like here? Now,
- 1:23:25Speaker 2: how about this way right here? You can't go if
- 1:23:27Speaker 2: you never leave. You got to leave somewhere to go somewhere.
- 1:23:33Speaker 2: You can't go. Be great and stay the same and
- 1:23:35Speaker 2: not be willing to change. I ain't changing. Oh well, brother,
- 1:23:40Speaker 2: you get what What do you mean? You're not changing?
- 1:23:42Speaker 3: This is how I am.
- 1:23:44Speaker 2: No man. Growth requires that you change. Last one. You
- 1:23:49Speaker 2: have to leave if you want to grow, I had
- 1:23:53Speaker 2: to leave Cleveland to go become who I am. You
- 1:23:56Speaker 2: may have to leave your city. You may have to
- 1:23:59Speaker 2: leave your situation. You may have to leave your town,
- 1:24:02Speaker 2: your job, you may have to leave a relationship. But
- 1:24:06Speaker 2: you're gonna have to leave something if you want to grow,
- 1:24:09Speaker 2: you ain't gonna grow and hold on everything you got.
- 1:24:11Speaker 2: That's not how it works. Those are my closing remarks.
- 1:24:14Speaker 2: Think about it, make a move, Make a move, y'all.
- 1:24:18Speaker 2: Have a great day. Talk to God all right, Peace.
- 1:24:31Speaker 3: For all.
