- 0:39Speaker 1: yeah by joining me. Honey, sat turn yeah you want
- 1:10Speaker 1: to go. You gotta turn to turn the time you
- 1:43Speaker 1: lovely got to turn out to turn the water the
- 1:47Speaker 1: water come come on your face that it uh huh?
- 2:02Speaker 1: I show will good morning everybody. You're listening to the voice.
- 2:06Speaker 1: I said, come on now, I dig me the one
- 2:08Speaker 1: and only Steve Harvey got a radio show. Okay, Now,
- 2:13Speaker 1: I'm gonna be really honest with you this morning. I
- 2:17Speaker 1: really don't know what to say. I really don't um.
- 2:24Speaker 1: I was sitting here and I was thinking what do
- 2:27Speaker 1: I say today. I do know that I want to
- 2:32Speaker 1: be encouraging, uplifting and inspirational in some way to affect
- 2:39Speaker 1: somebody today. Oftentimes, these conversations that I have in the mornings,
- 2:46Speaker 1: they're designed with me because I I needed myself, y'all,
- 2:51Speaker 1: to be honest with you. I mean, you know who
- 2:55Speaker 1: who makes the comedian laugh. I used to say all
- 2:58Speaker 1: the time, and even though what what we talk about
- 3:02Speaker 1: in the morning is not a laughing matter, it kind
- 3:05Speaker 1: of like is it's who I am today. You know,
- 3:09Speaker 1: I need motivation in my life sometimes myself. I think
- 3:14Speaker 1: when I get in moments like this, I often resort
- 3:19Speaker 1: back to the same thing over and over and over.
- 3:24Speaker 1: And when I find myself in in certain predicaments, I
- 3:29Speaker 1: could always fall back on the same thing over and over.
- 3:33Speaker 1: So while I'm sitting here trying to figure out what
- 3:36Speaker 1: to say to you, the one thing that I did
- 3:40Speaker 1: do this morning that I find to be very consistent
- 3:43Speaker 1: in me is that I find myself grateful. I'm ever
- 3:49Speaker 1: grateful for the things that God has done for me.
- 3:53Speaker 1: I may not always know what to say, but I
- 3:57Speaker 1: know how to say thank you, I do. I know
- 4:01Speaker 1: how to remember and reflect back on where I come from.
- 4:06Speaker 1: I know how to realize where all my blessings come from.
- 4:11Speaker 1: I'm very very conscious of my journey that I've been on,
- 4:18Speaker 1: the the one that was from then until now, that
- 4:22Speaker 1: journey right there is it's been. It's been. It's been. Uh,
- 4:28Speaker 1: it's been difficult, man, it really really has. I ain't
- 4:31Speaker 1: gonna lie to you. Um Me, becoming successful was very difficult.
- 4:39Speaker 1: But as hard as this is to say, I really
- 4:43Speaker 1: really mean this. I wouldn't change nothing about the trip
- 4:50Speaker 1: I've been on no one because I can't change anything
- 4:57Speaker 1: about it. So I never lived my life and regret.
- 5:01Speaker 1: But the main thing is was I discovered along the
- 5:05Speaker 1: way now not doing the process when you're going through
- 5:10Speaker 1: rough moments that you can't hardly see the good in
- 5:13Speaker 1: it at the time. It's just rough for you and
- 5:16Speaker 1: it seems unexplainable, and oftentimes I thought it was unfair.
- 5:21Speaker 1: But as I am now, I needed every single thing
- 5:25Speaker 1: that happened to me, that happened to me to happen
- 5:30Speaker 1: to me. I hope that makes sense to you. I
- 5:36Speaker 1: needed everything to happen in the exact order and the
- 5:40Speaker 1: exact way that it happened in order for me to
- 5:44Speaker 1: be the person that I've become. And that right there man,
- 5:52Speaker 1: that right there alone, it is just very comforting to me.
- 5:59Speaker 1: The Jakes told me one time, he said, the closer
- 6:02Speaker 1: you get to God, the more friendly you all become,
- 6:07Speaker 1: the more He will reveal to you or the how
- 6:12Speaker 1: it comes and the what fays of a lot of
- 6:15Speaker 1: things that's happened to you, because a lot of times
- 6:17Speaker 1: what troubles us is we just can't understand why we
- 6:21Speaker 1: lost that love one back then. We just can't understand
- 6:25Speaker 1: why we didn't get what we wanted back then. We
- 6:29Speaker 1: just don't understand how come our plan didn't work out
- 6:33Speaker 1: and we had to fail so miserably back then. We
- 6:36Speaker 1: don't understand the answers to these things. Well, the closer
- 6:40Speaker 1: I've gotten to God, the more those explanations have become
- 6:43Speaker 1: crystal clear to me. And see, the one thing that
- 6:47Speaker 1: I came to the realization everybody is that the things
- 6:50Speaker 1: that was happening to me, they wasn't really all bad.
- 6:55Speaker 1: They really wasn't that ain't they didn't taste good when
- 6:58Speaker 1: it was happening. I didn't enjoy what I was going through.
- 7:02Speaker 1: But as I look back on them and reflect now,
- 7:04Speaker 1: it wasn't all bad. Some of those things were so
- 7:06Speaker 1: necessary for me to get their information because say, I
- 7:09Speaker 1: don't know about you, but I'm kind of hardheaded and stubborn.
- 7:13Speaker 1: I said, I don't know about you, but I'm kind
- 7:15Speaker 1: of hardheaded and stubborn. I kind of like to think
- 7:20Speaker 1: that I know something about some things every now and then,
- 7:25Speaker 1: and the things I am convinced about. I don't really
- 7:29Speaker 1: really care for people trying to talk me offline. So
- 7:32Speaker 1: I can be stubborn and hardheaded. Sometimes God knows that
- 7:36Speaker 1: about me. So I think to get some of the
- 7:39Speaker 1: messages crystal clear through the me that I needed to learn.
- 7:43Speaker 1: That was this process I had to go through. That
- 7:45Speaker 1: process was my journey, It was my trip. It was
- 7:50Speaker 1: my WOA, my pain. Say everybody got them different, It
- 7:52Speaker 1: don't matter what it is. Everybody got a WOA, everybody
- 7:55Speaker 1: got a pain, everybody got a trial, everybody got some tribulation,
- 8:00Speaker 1: everybody got some challenge. I don't care who you are.
- 8:02Speaker 1: Dus quit looking at me thinking that I got it
- 8:04Speaker 1: going on so tough man. But if it's Steve, yeah,
- 8:07Speaker 1: it's easy for you to say that, but you ain't here.
- 8:10Speaker 1: You don't know. Wow, Ben, if you would stop hanging
- 8:14Speaker 1: yourself up on your past, worrying about your woes and
- 8:18Speaker 1: your troubles and the situation you're in, and start praying
- 8:23Speaker 1: and start asking God to get you through it. See,
- 8:26Speaker 1: a lot of times you messed it. You you messed
- 8:28Speaker 1: a message up yourself. Because when you're going through some stuff.
- 8:31Speaker 1: You ask God to remove it and take it away.
- 8:34Speaker 1: That ain't the lesson. You got to learn your lessons
- 8:37Speaker 1: sometimes it's gotta it's gotta be how to be strong,
- 8:41Speaker 1: how to see it through, how to bear under it,
- 8:45Speaker 1: how to carry that weight long distances for long periods
- 8:49Speaker 1: of time. That's how you get strong. The lesson is
- 8:53Speaker 1: is to make you stronger. But to make you stronger,
- 8:55Speaker 1: you got to carry the weight. You can't get stronger
- 8:58Speaker 1: you don't go to gym or you don't do something
- 9:00Speaker 1: at your house to lift your own body weight. See
- 9:03Speaker 1: a lot a lot of people can't even do push
- 9:06Speaker 1: ups down. They can't get down, and in the course
- 9:10Speaker 1: of the day, give you a hundred push ups because
- 9:13Speaker 1: they ain't. They ain't, they ain't never try to daybody.
- 9:16Speaker 1: They get to twenty and the shaking so bad they stopped.
- 9:19Speaker 1: That's too much for me. Well, let me tell you something.
- 9:21Speaker 1: So I learned to quit praying to take stuff away.
- 9:25Speaker 1: My prayer became to give me the strength to handle it.
- 9:27Speaker 1: People oftentimes ask me, how do you do all that
- 9:30Speaker 1: you do in the course of the day. I don't
- 9:32Speaker 1: really know. I just know I can because I know
- 9:38Speaker 1: God don't put more on you than you can back.
- 9:41Speaker 1: So when you ask me how you do all of
- 9:43Speaker 1: what you do in the course of the day, I
- 9:44Speaker 1: got God. All things are possible through Him. That strengthens me.
- 9:54Speaker 1: He strengthens me. See all them times I was working
- 9:58Speaker 1: and living in a car struggling and people booing, and
- 10:01Speaker 1: people telling me I wasn't gonna mount to nothing, and
- 10:03Speaker 1: standing on that stage for hours and hours and just
- 10:06Speaker 1: going through it and going through it and living my
- 10:08Speaker 1: life all in misery and misery is so now now,
- 10:13Speaker 1: when God got what he got from me, I can
- 10:15Speaker 1: stand here and do it all. Yeah, I'm up early
- 10:19Speaker 1: this morning. Yes, So what what do sleep get you? Man?
- 10:23Speaker 1: Sleep don't nothing come to a purpose that loves sleep,
- 10:27Speaker 1: But poverty set upon you like a thief in the night. Man.
- 10:33Speaker 1: So now I ain't got no time for sleep. I
- 10:34Speaker 1: want to get up and live, live my life and
- 10:37Speaker 1: love my life. Man. Come on, man, God is good.
- 10:41Speaker 1: He'll get you through whatever it is you're going through.
- 10:43Speaker 1: So when you're tripping and you don't know what to say,
- 10:47Speaker 1: reflect and be grateful for all you reflect on, think
- 10:52Speaker 1: about God's goodness and watch what he do for you.
- 10:55Speaker 1: That's the cold part. Okay, you're listening. We are present,
- 11:03Speaker 1: all of us here, accounted for full force, full force
- 11:08Speaker 1: m d s or should we call ourselves full force DJs?
- 11:12Speaker 1: I don't know. Steve, Good morning, yeah, calling for real.

- 11:26Speaker 1: it's a good money to you. We didn't start the
- 11:31Speaker 1: morning off like that. Started slapping kid, start down, No,
- 11:38Speaker 1: no do for me. The ability did to just be
- 11:45Speaker 1: able to say that, just like nothing can happen to
- 11:49Speaker 1: everything can happen to him and us and you especially
- 11:54Speaker 1: move along. There's nothing to talk big dog, Shirley Carlin,
- 12:04Speaker 1: Julia held it down yesterday, man by myself held it down. Boy, Tommy,
- 12:15Speaker 1: you got to get a new president, a team term
- 12:20Speaker 1: that boy yesterday he got fris like that. You didn't represent.
- 12:28Speaker 1: I don't know what the hell they tom So tell
- 12:30Speaker 1: me what is it with you in Mondays though? I
- 12:32Speaker 1: mean seriously, well, I took my little girl to UH
- 12:37Speaker 1: to see Beyonce and jay Z Sunday night in Houston.
- 12:40Speaker 1: So let me ask you this right here, just pho.
- 12:42Speaker 1: You finished right there because he didn't answer my question right,
- 12:46Speaker 1: But I'm just asking do you realize how many people
- 12:51Speaker 1: went to see J and B and to be at
- 12:54Speaker 1: work today. You went, Yes, I was there, same stadium
- 13:02Speaker 1: in RG right there. But I went Saturday. Wow, and
- 13:06Speaker 1: we were able to make it to work yesterday in Houston.
- 13:13Speaker 1: You know the concert, he gets caught up, he does.
- 13:19Speaker 1: I've seen him at a concert. Takes a lot out
- 13:22Speaker 1: of him. I had, I had twenty I had about
- 13:30Speaker 1: fifteen kids. To make sure all the kids got home,
- 13:33Speaker 1: and it was just a bit more so I didn't
- 13:37Speaker 1: want to come in here and got to the bottom
- 13:41Speaker 1: of it, at the bottom of you had to make
- 13:44Speaker 1: you a fifteen kids guy out in what what was
- 13:49Speaker 1: you driving? I had a party bus and and and
- 13:55Speaker 1: everybody got picked up from the house. And you had
- 13:58Speaker 1: dropped fifteen kids off a team, different house. No, not
- 14:02Speaker 1: playing that. I didn't do that. Who was on the band? Okay?
- 14:07Speaker 1: Then so what happened? So they came, you know, we
- 14:10Speaker 1: came back to my house and then all the kids
- 14:11Speaker 1: got picked up. And I waited till all the kids
- 14:14Speaker 1: got picked up. Yeah, all they passed, came to your house.
- 14:16Speaker 1: People at the chateau, and he was exhausted. Sprawling is
- 14:23Speaker 1: a good word, Yes, Yeah, that's why I used it

- 17:06Speaker 1: so I'm I'm trying to make sure everybody get home.
- 17:08Speaker 1: It's it's one o'clock, two o'clock in the morning. What
- 17:12Speaker 1: after the concert by the time, so you just what
- 17:16Speaker 1: is you up just staying at the kids. I'm trying
- 17:21Speaker 1: to figure out they can manage to take care of
- 17:24Speaker 1: themselfs all way down here to the day of football's dating.
- 17:27Speaker 1: But when they come to your house they need all

- 17:33Speaker 1: picking up college kids? Yeah? A good, good question, Steve.
- 17:41Speaker 1: It was all in college. The ones that were in
- 17:43Speaker 1: college was the ones he was. Don't try to fix
- 17:45Speaker 1: it for him. Be quiet, Jack, When when? When? When? When?
- 17:50Speaker 1: When Junior got took us to your Jay got the sugar?

- 23:07Speaker 1: wife is telling me that when she comes to the
- 23:09Speaker 1: gym that Mussa Marvin is always asking her about personal training,
- 23:15Speaker 1: trying to get huh to pay for personal training and
- 23:18Speaker 1: being one of your boot camps. Lass, whoa, whoa, whoa.
- 23:21Speaker 1: Hold up, an take this out, man. I don't ask

- 33:17Speaker 1: should always pull for Love's amazing. Man, how we want
- 33:23Speaker 1: somebody to break up y'all to stay going. People learn

- 34:42Speaker 1: evacuations down there in Fayetteville as well the dangerous highways
- 34:45Speaker 1: and by ways that North Carolinias had been running away from.

- 36:34Speaker 1: completely unnecessary, not one bullet was necessary, and that it
- 36:37Speaker 1: was murdered straight up. Officers of Van Dyke's attorney claims
- 36:40Speaker 1: that his client was merely quote, a scared police officer
- 36:44Speaker 1: who was merely helping others, who was fearful for his
- 36:48Speaker 1: life and the life of others as he acted as

- 56:53Speaker 1: See I mean write in line me you, Jane, because

- 59:34Speaker 1: head shaved now. Look like I'm pledged to go to
- 59:38Speaker 1: the store. Let's get to the strawberry letter you're going in.
- 59:43Speaker 1: Buckle up, hold on tight, We got it for you.
- 59:45Speaker 1: Here it is strawberry letter. Subject my wife cheats way
- 59:51Speaker 1: more than I do. This can't be Listen, there's Stephen Shirley.
- 59:58Speaker 1: My wife and I have been together since two thousand
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: and nine and married since two thousand and fifteen. We
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: have three sons and I love them all dearly. I'm
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: not trying to sugarcoat this at all, but I have
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: to tell you about my wife now. We've both cheated
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: on each other from the beginning of our relationship, even
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: though she refuses to admit all that she's done. I
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: forgive her for everything because of my wrongdoing, but I
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: have a problem with her dishonesty. I am willing to
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: work work on all of our business issue, all of
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: our issues, because it's till death do us part. She
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: admitted to cheating with six different guys since we've been married,
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: but she claims that no sex was involved. I don't
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: understand what you're doing if you cheat without having sex.
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: I've admitted everything, even that I got my ex mistress
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: pregnant and we ended up terminating the pregnancy. That was
- 1:00:56Speaker 1: it for me, and now I'm done cheating. I want
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: to work on my marriage because I don't want to
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: lose this woman. But just the other day I saw
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: her looking at another guy lustfully, and it brought back
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: the doubts I have about her being faithful to me.
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: I try not to keep bringing up the cheating because
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: I don't want to keep the dispute going. There has
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: been so much damage done already. I'm remorseful and I
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: forgive her, but I cannot forget all that has happened.
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: It is Is it too late for us? What should
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: we do? Please? Help? Well? I'll say this, Um, it's
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: never too late for anything. It's never too late. It's
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: never too late. But man, oh man, this this is
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: a lot right here. UM. I have to suggest also
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: counseling counseling. Counseling, I have to suggest that if you
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: truly want to work on your marriage, you and your
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: wife right now are in two different pages completely. You
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: say you are done with cheating, but your wife, uh
- 1:01:54Speaker 1: seems to still have it in her blood. If what
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: you're saying it's true, you want her to stop, but
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: listen until she's ready to stop. If she's ever ready
- 1:02:03Speaker 1: to stop, you guys cannot move forward. It's way big
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: of you to forgive her and all of that, uh,
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: and to finally stop cheating yourself and want to work
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: on your marriage. That's very unusual for a man. Usually
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: men don't do that. Usually it's the woman who will
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: take the man back for cheating. But it's you know,
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: men do take their wives back, but it's very rare.
- 1:02:23Speaker 1: It's rare. The trust has been broken here, and unless
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: you guys are willing to do the work that it's
- 1:02:31Speaker 1: going to take to rebuild that trust and get back
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: on the same page. Uh, this relationship is doomed. And
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: that's the bottom line. Steve, this crazy we come back.
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: Weren't talk about these six dudes six that much forgiveness
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: in the world. I'm not the lord. He got his
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: mistress pregnant. Steve, don't forget that. We'll have part two
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: of your response to the letter coming up at twenty
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: three after the hour of subject my wife cheats way
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: more than I do. We'll be back right after this.
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: You're listening, Steve Show All right, Steve, here we are
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: with today's Strawberry letter, the subject my wife cheats way
- 1:03:17Speaker 1: more than I do. Let's recap this is it? Really
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: ain't no recap. These people have been together since two
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: thousand nine, marriage since two thousand fifty. They got three sons,
- 1:03:26Speaker 1: he loved. This is a man writing this letter. He
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: ain't on sugarcoat this. But I gotta tell you by
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: my wife, we've both cheated on each other from the
- 1:03:35Speaker 1: beginning of our relationship, that from two thousand nine, even
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: though she refuses to admit all she's done. I forgive
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: her for everything because of my wrongdoing, but I got
- 1:03:46Speaker 1: a problem with her dishonesty. You got a problem with
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: her dishunter. Don't see bro I'm not understanding you. Man.
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: I forgive her because of everything because of my wrongdoing,
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: but I got a problem with her dishonest. What I
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: got a problem with Tommy being black. But ain't I
- 1:04:09Speaker 1: black too? Look at me, But you can't be a
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: dishonest person and there to have a problem with another
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: person dishonest. It's crazy. I'm wanted to work on all
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: our issues because it's till death do us part. Oh,
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: so now you want to break out divine. She admitted
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: to cheating with six different dudes since we've been married.
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: It ain't but two thousand and eighteen. In three years,
- 1:04:39Speaker 1: you just slept with six dudes outside of your marriage,
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: but she claims no sex was involved. I don't understand
- 1:04:47Speaker 1: what you're doing if you cheat without having set you
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: and I both know talk. Come on, this boy is
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: stupid on so many though. I've admitted everything, even that
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: I got my ex mistress pregnant and we ended up
- 1:05:04Speaker 1: terminating the pregnancy. So what did you go in there
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: and tell it phone? Yeah? Why did you walk in there?
- 1:05:11Speaker 1: If you terminated the pregnancy, which I'm not condoning or bashing,
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: That's not what I'm doing here. But if you terminated
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: the pregnancy with your mistress, what is you going in
- 1:05:21Speaker 1: the house with the news that there's nothing to talk
- 1:05:26Speaker 1: about never happened. Calm Downsta, you're getting riled. Stupid ass
- 1:05:35Speaker 1: didn't terminated the pregnancy. Then walk in the house and
- 1:05:39Speaker 1: admit everything. Admit what are you to me? That was
- 1:05:44Speaker 1: it for me? And now I'm done cheating. I want
- 1:05:48Speaker 1: to work on my marriage. You don't have a marriage, y'all.
- 1:05:51Speaker 1: Just two people to stay together that screw a lot
- 1:05:54Speaker 1: of other people. Because I don't want to lose this
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: you don't have There are two people that stay together
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: that do what y'all? Just two people that stayed together
- 1:06:10Speaker 1: and screw a lot of other It ain't what. This
- 1:06:14Speaker 1: ain't marriage. Do Let play what you really that new
- 1:06:22Speaker 1: uh commercial on TV for cable, y'all sleepless. I want
- 1:06:28Speaker 1: to work on my marriage. You don't have one, because
- 1:06:31Speaker 1: I don't want to lose this woman. This not your woman.
- 1:06:35Speaker 1: She'd been longing to too many other people, But just
- 1:06:39Speaker 1: the other day I saw her looking at another guy lustfully.
- 1:06:42Speaker 1: Well that's number seven, and it brought back the doubts
- 1:06:47Speaker 1: I have about her being faithful to me. She not.
- 1:06:51Speaker 1: I try not to keep bringing up to cheating. She
- 1:06:54Speaker 1: keep cheating. You can't quit bringing it up because they
- 1:06:58Speaker 1: never keep getting high. Brought it up again at the
- 1:07:01Speaker 1: three Then she did foon she did five, she did
- 1:07:04Speaker 1: sick this south. Now she looking at number seven and
- 1:07:08Speaker 1: you saw. I don't want to keep the dispute going.
- 1:07:12Speaker 1: There's so much damage done already, do y'all irreparable? Guess
- 1:07:16Speaker 1: what I think. Y'all ain't got nothing. Y'all ain't never
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: been faithful to each other. You've never been true to
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: each other. You've been lying and cheating on each other
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: since you met. What repair what? It's never been any church.
- 1:07:29Speaker 1: I'm remorseful, and I forgive her. What shut up with
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: saying you forgive that's too many damn dudes, one too high.
- 1:07:44Speaker 1: You cannot tell him that's too damn Ministerily, you don't
- 1:07:49Speaker 1: want Steve's and don't put my name at the top
- 1:07:52Speaker 1: of that, Dear Stephens. Shouldn't Steve say six it to me,
- 1:07:57Speaker 1: I got another one and pregnant, and sell us to
- 1:07:59Speaker 1: me that one I got, that I got? Damn he
- 1:08:02Speaker 1: got another woman pregnant him. He wrought anyone and then
- 1:08:04Speaker 1: told it. Yeah, I told you this boy stupid a
- 1:08:07Speaker 1: lot of I'm not forgiving you seven. Damn, I'm not
- 1:08:13Speaker 1: gonna do it. I'm not Christ. A matter of fact, Christ,
- 1:08:19Speaker 1: it's the only one I noticed capable or forgiving the
- 1:08:23Speaker 1: chick six times for sleeping around. Now, I'm remorseful and
- 1:08:29Speaker 1: I forgive her, but I can't forget all this happened. Well,
- 1:08:32Speaker 1: if you can't forget it, and then she could she
- 1:08:34Speaker 1: do refreshing courses? Up, she do refreshing course because in

- 1:09:01Speaker 1: well that's your opinion. So what are they? They're not married?
- 1:09:07Speaker 1: What are they? One more time so we can be clear.
- 1:09:09Speaker 1: A couple of people there together at school, a lot
- 1:09:12Speaker 1: of all the people. You know what. I'm not gonna

- 1:09:25Speaker 1: Certainly we talk about six people, and she looking at
- 1:09:28Speaker 1: number seven lustfully in front of you. Hey, man, you

- 1:11:08Speaker 1: are you, Vonte? Now, No, that happened to me though.
- 1:11:12Speaker 1: Excuse me. When I was boxing, I had that same
- 1:11:15Speaker 1: same realization at halftime at the second round. Yeah, thanks
- 1:11:21Speaker 1: to the country of Puerto Rico. And on the six
- 1:11:24Speaker 1: day pound, dude hit me so hard I stuck my

- 1:12:16Speaker 1: I'm going to go to my pocket spot, and I'm
- 1:12:19Speaker 1: going to go to the house. I'm going to the
- 1:12:21Speaker 1: queer go to you quit. No, no, no, no, no,
- 1:12:25Speaker 1: I'm retired. That's quick that. I never looked at you
- 1:12:30Speaker 1: as a quitter. No, no, no, no, no, I'm not
- 1:12:33Speaker 1: a quitter. I'm retired. Same thing. Could you bring it down?
- 1:12:38Speaker 1: Same thing? Kobe did the same thing. You know, Taylor did,
- 1:12:43Speaker 1: same thing. Magic did. I just don't feel like going
- 1:12:45Speaker 1: on the tool. But you know what, I'm saying, goodbye there.
- 1:12:48Speaker 1: But I'm just gonna say it now. But can you
- 1:12:51Speaker 1: just finish the game out? That's all we need you
- 1:12:53Speaker 1: to do. No, no, no, no, you don't need to
- 1:12:55Speaker 1: be doing that. I don't understand. Oh you didn't see
- 1:12:58Speaker 1: the first half? Did great? You did great? The first half?
- 1:13:03Speaker 1: I did great? Did you see that last hit? There's
- 1:13:07Speaker 1: about thirty more minutes to go in the game. I mean,
- 1:13:10Speaker 1: come on, did you see the last hit? On the kickoff?
- 1:13:13Speaker 1: I caught the ball, I'm running, I got to the
- 1:13:15Speaker 1: seven team. I thought I was a gap right there.
- 1:13:18Speaker 1: I shot in it and there he was. Did you
- 1:13:21Speaker 1: see that? Yeah? But you brought up Kobe, you brought
- 1:13:25Speaker 1: up Magic. They waited till the end of the What
- 1:13:28Speaker 1: about the big ceremony? I just said, See, I don't
- 1:13:31Speaker 1: want all that. All they're going on Tool giving me
- 1:13:33Speaker 1: gilts in every city talking to me and you know,
- 1:13:37Speaker 1: showing highlights. You ain't gotta do that. But what about
- 1:13:40Speaker 1: your teammates though, I mean, you're just gonna walk out
- 1:13:42Speaker 1: on them? Oh d behind me been waiting on this.
- 1:13:48Speaker 1: Why would I be selfish and keep all this career
- 1:13:50Speaker 1: to myself when clearly there's next man standing. Did you
- 1:13:55Speaker 1: feel early today you might quit? You know? Did in? I?
- 1:14:01Speaker 1: Did you know? I was just feeling some kind of
- 1:14:03Speaker 1: way this morning? And then you know, when I was
- 1:14:05Speaker 1: tying up my cleats, I said, they don't feel like that.
- 1:14:08Speaker 1: I was get right, said, why did you even suit up? Then?
- 1:14:10Speaker 1: If you felt that way when you just quit the retiree,
- 1:14:16Speaker 1: be careful pod huh, I be careful, you know, Polder.
- 1:14:21Speaker 1: It's retired repot right, It's the time to cut their
- 1:14:32Speaker 1: things short where it included, Well, did you discuss this
- 1:14:36Speaker 1: with the coach? Teammates? I said something last summer to
- 1:14:45Speaker 1: a Davante, but I don't think he repeated. I said,
- 1:14:51Speaker 1: I'm thinking about quitting it. Well, I mean, because you know,
- 1:14:56Speaker 1: if you were gonna quit, why did you come and
- 1:14:59Speaker 1: report to the team. Somebody else could have had that
- 1:15:02Speaker 1: job in that position as a cornerback. See that what
- 1:15:05Speaker 1: I'm doing now, I'm looking They got some pretty many
- 1:15:09Speaker 1: game Now let me let me ask you that I'm
- 1:15:12Speaker 1: trying to beat this traffic and everything, so how many
- 1:15:14Speaker 1: how many more questions? Well, I can't ask one more questions.
- 1:15:18Speaker 1: Were already losing by so many points. You know they're
- 1:15:21Speaker 1: gonna start leaving in third quarter that we're standing in
- 1:15:23Speaker 1: here talking. Well, I mean, this is a big deal
- 1:15:26Speaker 1: of this is happening. Made history with this, you know,
- 1:15:31Speaker 1: you know that's another thing. I wanted to do something
- 1:15:33Speaker 1: that hadn't hadn't been a history. You know when I'm
- 1:15:39Speaker 1: glad y'all recognized that, you know, because I wasn't making
- 1:15:42Speaker 1: history on the field that I just said, Man, I
- 1:15:46Speaker 1: got to get in these books some kind of the way.
- 1:15:49Speaker 1: The first the first NFL player to retire half term,
- 1:15:52Speaker 1: you're gonna be all over sports and everything. Well did
- 1:15:55Speaker 1: you did? You just asked the question one question? Did
- 1:16:02Speaker 1: you go tell Beyonce concert and then say I ain't
- 1:16:05Speaker 1: on work the next day? You know I was there
- 1:16:08Speaker 1: Saturday night, Yeah, and I should have stayed on, but
- 1:16:13Speaker 1: I came on in and I think that's what did it?
- 1:16:15Speaker 1: Did you have regular seats or sweet? Oh no, no,
- 1:16:18Speaker 1: it was I was just in regular seat. Don't nobody
- 1:16:20Speaker 1: know me? Wait a minute, can I ask some one
- 1:16:25Speaker 1: more question? What about kids that's gonna look up to you? Yeah? Oh,
- 1:16:30Speaker 1: would you look over here? Okay, but I'm gonna be
- 1:16:34Speaker 1: over here on what are your plans for the future?
- 1:16:36Speaker 1: I mean you thought this out? No, I got no
- 1:16:39Speaker 1: plan for the future at all. A matter of fact,
- 1:16:42Speaker 1: we're talking in the middle of my future right now.
- 1:16:46Speaker 1: All right, Well, thank you for Yeah, he made history today. Davis,
- 1:17:00Speaker 1: a tenure veteran, said that he meant no disrespect to
- 1:17:04Speaker 1: his teammates and coaches, but he could no longer play
- 1:17:06Speaker 1: as a standard he set for himself physically. So there
- 1:17:09Speaker 1: you have it. Coming up, Yeah, coming up at the
- 1:17:11Speaker 1: top of the hour. Comedy rutelette, comedy roulette in the building.
- 1:17:15Speaker 1: Right after this, you're listening to the Steve Morning Show. Alright,
- 1:17:20Speaker 1: So a couple of more questions for Avante Davis. Number
- 1:17:23Speaker 1: twenty two of the Buffalo bills were tired during halftime.
- 1:17:26Speaker 1: Yesterday Sunday or Sunday? Pardon me Sunday. Yeah, so Vante,
- 1:17:33Speaker 1: we just had one. Yeah, he's like he feels relieved. Well, Vante,
- 1:17:41Speaker 1: we did want to ask you one more thing before
- 1:17:43Speaker 1: we get out of here. Did you discuss this with
- 1:17:45Speaker 1: your wife and your beau. Absolutely. Yeah, she's a gorgeous woman. Yes, yeah,
- 1:17:51Speaker 1: she's beautiful. You're you're right about that. But I mean,
- 1:17:54Speaker 1: you know, this is your livelihood, this is how you
- 1:17:56Speaker 1: make your money. So these are usually decisions a husband
- 1:18:00Speaker 1: and wives make together. So was she and on this
- 1:18:03Speaker 1: decision for you to quit at half time? Well, I
- 1:18:06Speaker 1: ain't saying nothing to about it, one of my I
- 1:18:11Speaker 1: ain't saying nothing to about it because what I didn't
- 1:18:14Speaker 1: want to do is give her heads up and then
- 1:18:16Speaker 1: she had time to think about leaving, you know, emptying
- 1:18:21Speaker 1: out of counts and all that. See I read I
- 1:18:26Speaker 1: did on a Sunday, cause you can't clear out of
- 1:18:28Speaker 1: counsel on Sunday. I'll be that first thing in the
- 1:18:30Speaker 1: morning at the bank, you know, going to make sure
- 1:18:33Speaker 1: she ain't trying to pull up steaks and take the
- 1:18:36Speaker 1: kids and all this here. You know, we're gonna sit
- 1:18:38Speaker 1: down and work through it. So so you're clear that
- 1:18:40Speaker 1: she will be upset with your decision. You don't really
- 1:18:47Speaker 1: imagine her not I have Do you have kids? Oh yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 1:18:53Speaker 1: ye need some snappy comebacks when they go to class.
- 1:19:00Speaker 1: You know, they're in the Buffalo or school district, don't.
- 1:19:05Speaker 1: I don't know. I expect that could be some type
- 1:19:07Speaker 1: of ball backlash and everything, especially from our neighbors seeing
- 1:19:12Speaker 1: that's how we how we lost another game. What are
- 1:19:16Speaker 1: some of the things they might yell at you as
- 1:19:18Speaker 1: you going into out of the house, you know, quitter, loser,
- 1:19:23Speaker 1: you sucked, coward? Hey crazy man? Have you heard they
- 1:19:33Speaker 1: get your black but back on the field and anybody
- 1:19:35Speaker 1: said that? You know, I just stuff like that. But
- 1:19:37Speaker 1: there's nothing, uh nothing, nothing, nothing really weird about you know.
- 1:19:42Speaker 1: I just you know, you know, you know, you know
- 1:19:44Speaker 1: what I mean. You know, you never know. Like I said,
- 1:19:47Speaker 1: you know, no disrespect to my playoffs and everything. They know.
- 1:19:50Speaker 1: I was just going, Hell, I can't even run like YouTube,
- 1:19:53Speaker 1: But it is disrespectful to you, ain't. I ain't. I
- 1:19:58Speaker 1: didn't catch the dude I was chasing, and I didn't dodge.
- 1:20:01Speaker 1: Your dude didn't hit me. So I'm sitting in the
- 1:20:04Speaker 1: locker room. What is I'm out here for. I can't
- 1:20:07Speaker 1: dodge nobody and can't catch nobody, and please don't throw
- 1:20:12Speaker 1: me the damn ball. He's according you think you're changing
- 1:20:16Speaker 1: come back? Yeah? No, you know. The only way I
- 1:20:20Speaker 1: come back. You know it had to be a special
- 1:20:23Speaker 1: strish waiting circumstances. Circumstance, no, not extenuating stitchuate, just straight
- 1:20:32Speaker 1: up crazy. Well, we wish you the best in your
- 1:20:36Speaker 1: next adventure. Whatever, well, I wish you all three of y'all.
- 1:20:42Speaker 1: Did you go back and watch the game or you
- 1:20:43Speaker 1: went directly hard, straight to the straight to the How
- 1:20:48Speaker 1: went the back yard? Cut a little grass, something always
- 1:20:52Speaker 1: wanted to do on a Sunday, but strapping up, putting
- 1:20:55Speaker 1: on his shoulder pads and all this year, I just said,
- 1:20:57Speaker 1: you know what, I'm gonna go home and cut my y'all,
- 1:21:00Speaker 1: how are you planning on staying in shape now that
- 1:21:02Speaker 1: you won't be training? You know, I ain't got no players,
- 1:21:05Speaker 1: and I don't finna. Let go, Let go, and let go.
- 1:21:11Speaker 1: And I'm talking about man, I see myself, I see
- 1:21:15Speaker 1: myself up the road? How much, big old fat minister.
- 1:21:23Speaker 1: All right, on that note, I'm gonna trying to pick
- 1:21:27Speaker 1: up like I'm in great shape right now. Still gotta
- 1:21:29Speaker 1: washed board ads and everything, you know, because I'm a
- 1:21:32Speaker 1: good father, always been active in my children's life. And
- 1:21:35Speaker 1: we don't my wife and I don't have any problems.
- 1:21:38Speaker 1: So I think everybody, go, man, I'll be home a
- 1:21:40Speaker 1: lot more, a lot more. All right, Well, um, jeez,
- 1:21:46Speaker 1: I mean this is so different. You know we've before. Um,
- 1:21:52Speaker 1: what you said, you know what I wanted you to
- 1:21:55Speaker 1: be very different. Yeah, you said you didn't have any
- 1:21:57Speaker 1: future plans, but about not a one? What about sportscasting
- 1:22:02Speaker 1: or something? No, no, no, no no, because all they're
- 1:22:04Speaker 1: gonna wanna do with all, They're gonna ask me why
- 1:22:07Speaker 1: did well, why didn't you quit on the field? Why
- 1:22:10Speaker 1: didn't you like that go out there and then quit?
- 1:22:12Speaker 1: I never quit any play. Well, I don't know who
- 1:22:14Speaker 1: you are serving, honestly, you never interview the professional athlete before.
- 1:22:21Speaker 1: But I do not quit on plays. I quit quit.
- 1:22:27Speaker 1: Why didn't you quit that? No? Why I'm gonna do
- 1:22:29Speaker 1: that in front of everybody that just tween me and
- 1:22:31Speaker 1: my teammates. Why come to the NFL unless y'all in
- 1:22:33Speaker 1: here for the questions mandatory after after the game. That's
- 1:22:37Speaker 1: the only reason I'm even talking to you. Really, ain't

- 1:22:43Speaker 1: biggest story ever because y'all making it the biggest story.
- 1:22:46Speaker 1: Lots of people have retired before this is a pretty
- 1:22:49Speaker 1: big story. It ain't that big. I'm just I'm retired. Okay,
- 1:22:54Speaker 1: So how are you planning and making money? Okay, you
- 1:22:57Speaker 1: have to live now, you have to put your family now.
- 1:23:01Speaker 1: See why why is that ball? Didn't you? You? You
- 1:23:07Speaker 1: just quit so suddenly? Did you plan this? I mean,
- 1:23:10Speaker 1: did you have any plans? Actually? I had plenty of
- 1:23:13Speaker 1: money put and I thought this out, and you know,
- 1:23:17Speaker 1: I just made the move. I just picked now to
- 1:23:19Speaker 1: do it. You know why procrastinated? What I was sitting
- 1:23:22Speaker 1: in front of my locker saying, why put off tomorrow
- 1:23:25Speaker 1: what clearly you could do today till after the game
- 1:23:29Speaker 1: when you can do it at halftime? Hell yeah, cod,
- 1:23:32Speaker 1: I don't want to go back out there and take
- 1:23:33Speaker 1: another hit and try to catch another one of them rookies.
- 1:23:38Speaker 1: But that boy would bad me so and I were

- 1:26:35Speaker 1: mistakes with to see if they think the storm is
- 1:26:37Speaker 1: cleared and it's downgraded and you can go out. No,
- 1:26:40Speaker 1: you still have to listen to instructions from city officials.

- 1:28:17Speaker 1: three after the hour you're listening to the Steve Harvey
- 1:28:21Speaker 1: Morning Show. Last night was the seventy annual Primetime Emmy Awards.
- 1:28:26Speaker 1: It was hosted by Saturday Night Lives, Colin Just and
- 1:28:29Speaker 1: Michael Cheap. Game of Thrones, as you know, had twenty
- 1:28:33Speaker 1: two I said, twenty two nominations, while West World that
- 1:28:38Speaker 1: starts Your Boy, Jeffrey Wright, Tommy Yeah, and Saturday Night
- 1:28:42Speaker 1: Live they each had one nominations. Yeah, yeah, that's right.
- 1:28:48Speaker 1: Other nominees included Anthony Anderson, Blackish, Donald Glover, Childish Gambino
- 1:28:53Speaker 1: for Atlanta, Sa Ray, Tracy Ellis Ross. While all of
- 1:28:57Speaker 1: those people I just named didn't win, there are no highlights.
- 1:29:01Speaker 1: Shirley and Steve. I struggled watching the Emmy's. There was
- 1:29:06Speaker 1: this Reparation's Emmy skit that you know included legendary Marla
- 1:29:11Speaker 1: gives Jimmy Walker, Kadeem Hardison gelttle white, and they honored
- 1:29:15Speaker 1: them for you know, the shows like the Jefferson's A
- 1:29:17Speaker 1: Different World, Family Matters, Martin uh and others. And that
- 1:29:21Speaker 1: was that. But finally Game of Thrones one. You know,
- 1:29:24Speaker 1: we love that show. That was it. Seriously seriously alright,
- 1:29:28Speaker 1: alright uh. In entertainment news, thank you. In other entertainment news,
- 1:29:33Speaker 1: thank you, Carlo. It looks like La La and Carmelo Anthony.
- 1:29:37Speaker 1: I'm so happy about this. They're back together. Yes, this
- 1:29:42Speaker 1: is good. I mean, you know sometimes when you you
- 1:29:44Speaker 1: you separate and then you come back together, you know,
- 1:29:46Speaker 1: you work out your differences. I love it to review.
- 1:29:49Speaker 1: The two split up last year, back in two thousand seventeen,
- 1:29:53Speaker 1: amid rumors of him getting a stripper pregnant. We all
- 1:29:57Speaker 1: remember that. Sad news. The baby sources are saying quiet
- 1:30:02Speaker 1: sources are saying that La La and Carmelo were spotted
- 1:30:06Speaker 1: holding hands at an event for New York Fashion. An
- 1:30:09Speaker 1: insider said, they're working on their relationship and they've always
- 1:30:12Speaker 1: remained friends. I saw the picture of them holding hands.
- 1:30:16Speaker 1: Somebody said they were just putting on a good show
- 1:30:18Speaker 1: for their son. What about the baby. I hope they're
- 1:30:23Speaker 1: working out. I hope they're working this one. I really do.
- 1:30:26Speaker 1: Carmelo and La Lay trying to work it out. Yeah,
- 1:30:29Speaker 1: that's that's what is. Yeah, that'd be a good thing,
- 1:30:32Speaker 1: you know, be a great thing. I mean, you know,
- 1:30:37Speaker 1: we should always pull for love. Amazing, man, how we
- 1:30:43Speaker 1: want somebody to break up and y'all to stay. People
- 1:30:46Speaker 1: learn from mistakes. That one's always been a good dude.
- 1:30:52Speaker 1: And he's always been a good dude, man, Carmelo and
- 1:30:55Speaker 1: really a great guy. Man. I just needed to play
- 1:30:59Speaker 1: defense in Houston's I just know, what about what about Tommy?
- 1:31:05Speaker 1: And she went, Tommy, what about that? What's happening? That's
- 1:31:08Speaker 1: a real ja that's on a TV show. You just
- 1:31:14Speaker 1: don't dump the white boy like white people need to. So, yeah,
- 1:31:22Speaker 1: we're hoping for the best with that relationship. And we
- 1:31:24Speaker 1: love us some La La, We really do. Alright. Well,
- 1:31:28Speaker 1: moving on, Supreme Court Justice Brett kevanas accuser will testify publicly,
- 1:31:33Speaker 1: she says, before Congress coming up Steve's closing remarks at
- 1:31:37Speaker 1: forty nine after the hour, Gather round everyone, you're listening
- 1:31:42Speaker 1: to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right here we
- 1:31:45Speaker 1: are last break of the day on this Tuesday. It's
- 1:31:48Speaker 1: been a good day. Huh, it's been fun. Yeah, we've
- 1:31:52Speaker 1: got a great day. Yeah. What did you learn, Steve? Well,
- 1:31:55Speaker 1: you know, oh, and let me clear my foot needs
- 1:32:01Speaker 1: that are on throat? That damn. I always say, yeah,
- 1:32:06Speaker 1: you know, it's just your throat. Now, if you want
- 1:32:08Speaker 1: to throat, then you gotta going to doctor. All right,
- 1:32:14Speaker 1: I'll let you have that one. But it is throat.
- 1:32:18Speaker 1: Well that's if you're going to the doctor. Oh, if
- 1:32:20Speaker 1: you're going to the doctor, then it's throat if you
- 1:32:22Speaker 1: get hit in it right away with a k on it,
- 1:32:31Speaker 1: because you still be choking. So what did you learn today?
- 1:32:36Speaker 1: You're saying, um, don't you stop me. I don't know
- 1:32:42Speaker 1: what I know. Okay, you'll you'll think of it. But
- 1:32:45Speaker 1: you do have some clothing for us on now I do.
- 1:32:48Speaker 1: I want to give you a quote that all belongs
- 1:32:53Speaker 1: to Mark Luther King. I've paraphrased it so many times
- 1:32:57Speaker 1: in my life when I'm trying to help young people
- 1:33:01Speaker 1: solve problems, because what people don't understand is, uh, you know,
- 1:33:07Speaker 1: well here, let me say it to you like this.
- 1:33:10Speaker 1: I was talking to my children about friendship, and they
- 1:33:15Speaker 1: were talking about how many friends they had. I said,
- 1:33:18Speaker 1: no one has that many friends, Dad, I have like
- 1:33:21Speaker 1: fifteen friends. I said, how how do you have fifteen friends?
- 1:33:27Speaker 1: I said, what's your definition of friendship? Oh, somebody just
- 1:33:30Speaker 1: hang out and be cool with I say, hold up,
- 1:33:32Speaker 1: hold on, hold up your That's all the friendship is
- 1:33:35Speaker 1: to me. Those are just associates. Well, they're not like
- 1:33:38Speaker 1: my friends friends. And they were just going on and
- 1:33:41Speaker 1: on and on. So finally we were having a serious
- 1:33:44Speaker 1: discussion to something about it and what I was trying
- 1:33:48Speaker 1: to get them to understand. Friendships are formed. They get
- 1:33:54Speaker 1: formed friendships when you first make them. It's usually in
- 1:33:59Speaker 1: a good setting. For the most part, you can find
- 1:34:03Speaker 1: some of your real friends and someone hell of moments,
- 1:34:07Speaker 1: but most friendships start with here. I met this guy
- 1:34:10Speaker 1: was at the sports bar. Man cool dude man, Frank's boy. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 1:34:14Speaker 1: that's how we met. Hey man, I was walking I
- 1:34:16Speaker 1: ran up until you, dude man. He introduced himself to
- 1:34:19Speaker 1: me on the train. He said, yeah, yeah, yeah, that's
- 1:34:22Speaker 1: my man. Friendships start that way, but friendships have to
- 1:34:27Speaker 1: develop because you don't really have a friend until you
- 1:34:33Speaker 1: have to go through something and they know about it.
- 1:34:38Speaker 1: Listen to me, you can't really determine who your real
- 1:34:42Speaker 1: friends are until you are going through something and they
- 1:34:46Speaker 1: know about it. Because that leads me to a quote
- 1:34:50Speaker 1: that Martin Luther King Jr. Had. He said, the ultimate
- 1:34:54Speaker 1: measure of a man's not where he stands in moments
- 1:34:58Speaker 1: of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times
- 1:35:01Speaker 1: of challenge and controversy. Then at all, he did, can
- 1:35:08Speaker 1: you know the true measure of a man? Do you
- 1:35:12Speaker 1: understand that? I just something happened to me recently? Man?
- 1:35:17Speaker 1: Why I just had so much faith in this kid? Man?
- 1:35:20Speaker 1: I said, Boy, this this young dude got it together,
- 1:35:23Speaker 1: and then he did something that was so out of character.
- 1:35:27Speaker 1: And when I asked him about it, to challenge him
- 1:35:30Speaker 1: to get it looking at the right way. Now, man,
- 1:35:32Speaker 1: that's how I am. I said, Waiting, Man, you've been
- 1:35:34Speaker 1: like this the whole time. You mean, if something goes wrong,
- 1:35:38Speaker 1: this is your reaction. Well, I ain't gonna keep getting
- 1:35:41Speaker 1: hurt by and all this here, I said, Wow. But
- 1:35:46Speaker 1: I had given him the title of an okay guy
- 1:35:49Speaker 1: too early without waiting on something to happen. And I'm
- 1:35:53Speaker 1: old enough to know that the ultimate measure of a man,
- 1:36:00Speaker 1: and it's not where he stands in moments of comfort
- 1:36:02Speaker 1: and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge
- 1:36:06Speaker 1: and controversy. Friendships are developed, they're formed over the course
- 1:36:14Speaker 1: of time, and you really don't know who people really
- 1:36:19Speaker 1: are until you see them under test, under fire, under accusation,
- 1:36:26Speaker 1: under just the burden of being whoever they are or
- 1:36:30Speaker 1: whatever job they got and whatever job title they got.
- 1:36:34Speaker 1: Let something go wrong. Watch how a person acts when
- 1:36:39Speaker 1: it ain't going right. Watch how they act when they're
- 1:36:42Speaker 1: getting challenged or tested. Watch how they act when it
- 1:36:48Speaker 1: looked like it ain't gonna go no way but bad. Now,
- 1:36:52Speaker 1: if this is happening to you, something about to happen,
- 1:36:56Speaker 1: and your friends know about it, watch the act because
- 1:36:59Speaker 1: the ones does that and it ain't gonna be a bunch.
