- 0:05Speaker 1: don't know. Y'all have a sun giving them like the
- 0:15Speaker 1: million bucks things in it to me through good to other. Please,
- 0:38Speaker 1: I don't join jo turn you you gotta turn to
- 1:41Speaker 1: turn them out. Turn You haven't got to turn them
- 1:44Speaker 1: out to turn the water. The water got me? Come
- 1:58Speaker 1: come on your thuh, I sure will. Good morning everybody
- 2:05Speaker 1: you are listening to the voice, Come on dig me now.
- 2:08Speaker 1: One and only Steve Harvey got a radio show. I
- 2:11Speaker 1: thank God for it every day. I try to remember
- 2:14Speaker 1: that too, you know. I try to remember to be grateful.
- 2:18Speaker 1: I think gratitude is one of the things that helps
- 2:21Speaker 1: keep me grounded. You can go as far as you
- 2:24Speaker 1: want in life. If you don't mind who gets the credit.
- 2:27Speaker 1: Well that applies to God too, don't it. I mean,
- 2:30Speaker 1: you know, really, if you don't mind who gets the credit.
- 2:34Speaker 1: I'm surrounded by very competent people. I'm surrounded by a
- 2:39Speaker 1: lot of people who work hard on their jobs on
- 2:42Speaker 1: their career, who are dedicated employees and also just dedicated
- 2:49Speaker 1: to their families and you know, dedicated to their own
- 2:52Speaker 1: set of aspirations. I don't expect anybody to work for me. Whatever,
- 2:58Speaker 1: I always look at my job, opportunities are stepping stones
- 3:02Speaker 1: because I want everyone around me really to aspire to
- 3:05Speaker 1: be more. I mean, that's really the way I am.
- 3:09Speaker 1: I'm not any other way. I'm not trying to hold
- 3:11Speaker 1: you to this position. You know, tell you there's no
- 3:15Speaker 1: room for growth, any of that. But even though I'm
- 3:19Speaker 1: surrounded by these people, I'm grateful that God placed them
- 3:25Speaker 1: in my path, in my life. But in my mind,
- 3:32Speaker 1: in my spirit, in everything in me, the credit still
- 3:38Speaker 1: belongs to God. I'm sorry. The credit still belongs to God.
- 3:45Speaker 1: See if you were just for a moment, stop thinking
- 3:50Speaker 1: about yourself, just for a moment. I know that's hard,
- 3:54Speaker 1: but just for a moment, stop thinking about yourself and
- 3:58Speaker 1: realize that maybe you are who you are because God
- 4:02Speaker 1: is who he is. Maybe that's the case. Have you
- 4:05Speaker 1: ever considered that? That's the strongest possibility I can give
- 4:09Speaker 1: to you? You know, how do you think you're the
- 4:14Speaker 1: one that made it through? How you think you the
- 4:17Speaker 1: one after all of the ignorant decisions we have made?
- 4:22Speaker 1: And oh my goodness, let's all be honest. Ain't we
- 4:25Speaker 1: made some crazy decisions. I'm talking about, man, I have
- 4:29Speaker 1: made decisions so adverse to my destiny and career, my promises.
- 4:35Speaker 1: I've made some decisions man, knowingly you hear me, knowingly
- 4:41Speaker 1: do something wrong, and in spite of all that, I'm
- 4:45Speaker 1: still here standing. Okay, come on now, really, really, all
- 4:50Speaker 1: the dirt you've been done, everybody done dirt, all the
- 4:55Speaker 1: mistakes you've made, You're in a position you in today
- 5:00Speaker 1: cause of what? Because you all that? Because you work
- 5:03Speaker 1: harder than anybody else. Look, I work hard, I'll be there.
- 5:08Speaker 1: I'll tell you in a minute. I work hard, But
- 5:10Speaker 1: I don't think I'm the hardest working person out there.
- 5:13Speaker 1: I'm pretty sure somebody didn't work way harder than I have.
- 5:17Speaker 1: So okay, so you work hard? Okay, cool, I got
- 5:20Speaker 1: all that. But man, what about his grace and his mercy?
- 5:27Speaker 1: What about his favor? How many times, man, you didn't
- 5:32Speaker 1: rely on that, even when you ain't know you was
- 5:34Speaker 1: relying on it? How many times, man, God hadn't shown
- 5:38Speaker 1: you mercy? You ain't even deserve it? Do you know
- 5:41Speaker 1: how many things I've done wrong? I just ain't get
- 5:43Speaker 1: caught at it? You know. Let me see how simple
- 5:48Speaker 1: I can be here. You speed, you jaywalk, you lie
- 5:54Speaker 1: to police when you get pulled over that you wasn't
- 5:57Speaker 1: speed and you go to court and I argue you
- 5:59Speaker 1: wasn't even when you was, you make you turns. I'm
- 6:05Speaker 1: just doing traffic violations. Now, let's get off traffic for
- 6:09Speaker 1: a second. Let's get on human violations. You talk about
- 6:13Speaker 1: people when you're not supposed to. You indulge yourself in
- 6:19Speaker 1: gossip even when you don't really have all the facts.
- 6:22Speaker 1: You pass judgment, You lust for people that don't belong
- 6:28Speaker 1: to you. You say things to people that you're not
- 6:32Speaker 1: supposed to say. So look, all of us, we all,
- 6:40Speaker 1: we all guilty. Now see I'm not saying you do
- 6:43Speaker 1: all of that, but I'm saying I'm pretty sure I
- 6:46Speaker 1: hit you somewhere in there, just somewhere in there. You
- 6:49Speaker 1: to lie before you know you lied recently. I mean,
- 6:53Speaker 1: come on, And I'm just saying so with all that
- 6:56Speaker 1: in mind. See, I'm just looking at the little things
- 6:58Speaker 1: that we do that we don't get busted. Not to
- 7:00Speaker 1: mention the chips you stole when you was a kid
- 7:03Speaker 1: and nobody caught you. Well, that elevated, didn't it. And
- 7:06Speaker 1: some of y'all just didn't stop stealing the next thing,
- 7:09Speaker 1: you know, you was in a car. Now you're sitting
- 7:11Speaker 1: somewhere you don't want to be sitting because of a
- 7:13Speaker 1: decision you made. But through his grace and mercy, couldn't
- 7:16Speaker 1: it have been worse? Though? Without his grace and mercy,
- 7:19Speaker 1: could not it have been worse. I know two dudes
- 7:23Speaker 1: that got caught in the garage one time trying to
- 7:25Speaker 1: break in somebody's house, and the person the house they
- 7:27Speaker 1: broke into just happened to have a gun and held
- 7:31Speaker 1: them into garage, caught them and hailed them to the
- 7:35Speaker 1: garage to the police car. That's Grace and mercy right there,
- 7:38Speaker 1: because they had all full right to shoot these two people,
- 7:41Speaker 1: but they didn't. The Grayson Mercy. See, all of us
- 7:45Speaker 1: have benefited from his grace and mercy. All of us
- 7:48Speaker 1: have done a wrong, committed a sin, broken the law,
- 7:52Speaker 1: and somehow, through his grace and mercy, got by, doing drugs,
- 7:56Speaker 1: buying drugs, slanging drugs, doing something, got by, jumped on
- 8:00Speaker 1: somebody for no reason, got by, you know. So see
- 8:05Speaker 1: how you figure with all that that can go on
- 8:08Speaker 1: in your life? And then hold on, let me throw
- 8:10Speaker 1: a couple more at you. You can't wake yourself up
- 8:13Speaker 1: in the morning mister big shot, you don't have the
- 8:18Speaker 1: ability to control the breaths that you take. Really, mister
- 8:23Speaker 1: big shot, really, let's get real basic with it now.
- 8:27Speaker 1: You can't wake yourself up in the morning. That's favor,
- 8:33Speaker 1: that's grace, that's mercy, that's Him allowing you to wake up,
- 8:40Speaker 1: just hoping we get it right. You know, God spared
- 8:44Speaker 1: me through all the dirt I was doing just hoping
- 8:46Speaker 1: one day, man, can you just straighten up a little bit?
- 8:50Speaker 1: When I finally straightened up, and I'm gonna just say it,
- 8:53Speaker 1: straightened up a little bit. See, I ain't straightened up
- 8:55Speaker 1: all the way. Say I ain't gonna sit here and
- 8:57Speaker 1: tell you that I just straightened up a little bit.
- 8:59Speaker 1: He's start blessing me. So the more blessings I got
- 9:02Speaker 1: started going, Man, maybe I'll try straighten up a little
- 9:04Speaker 1: bit more. So I straightened up a little bit more. Now.
- 9:06Speaker 1: I still got a long way to go, but I'm
- 9:08Speaker 1: straighter than I was now. When people judging me and
- 9:11Speaker 1: as they will, and they do, because that ain't right,
- 9:14Speaker 1: but they do, and I ain't walking just the way
- 9:16Speaker 1: they walk, then here comes to criticism. I get it
- 9:19Speaker 1: all the time. Stop wanting credit all the time and
- 9:22Speaker 1: give out some credit where credit is due instead of
- 9:25Speaker 1: get having somebody patting you on your back all the time.
- 9:28Speaker 1: Why don't you tell God, tell people it was really
- 9:30Speaker 1: was God, man, that you don't really know how you
- 9:33Speaker 1: made it? That really man, you have no explanation for
- 9:36Speaker 1: your success or you have no explanation why you still
- 9:38Speaker 1: existing today. Why don't you tell somebody was God today?
- 9:42Speaker 1: Don't be ashamed. It's the truth, ain't it. I mean, really, man,
- 9:46Speaker 1: Let's give God some credit. Hell, give God the credit
- 9:49Speaker 1: and the glory and the honor. And like that plaque said,
- 9:52Speaker 1: you can go as far as you want in life
- 9:54Speaker 1: if you don't mind who gets the credit. All right,
- 9:57Speaker 1: you're listening Steve Harp Morning Show. It's only cracking. That's
- 10:04Speaker 1: how we started to do. If I called it to
- 10:07Speaker 1: count off, you know, its gonna be like it was
- 10:09Speaker 1: gonna be a song. But in my heart it is
- 10:11Speaker 1: a song. I just say't feel like singing it to
- 10:14Speaker 1: y'all today. I might change my mind. I might change
- 10:19Speaker 1: my mind and sang it out anyway. Yeah, I just
- 10:27Speaker 1: came out, came out just like that. That was a
- 10:29Speaker 1: lounge hit. I might change my mind and sing it anyway.
- 10:36Speaker 1: I was written by Roscoe Wallace in nineteen fifty nine.
- 10:43Speaker 1: Waute yeah, huge hit it huge Walla been out a
- 10:49Speaker 1: minute man, I was to think about dusting off turning
- 10:51Speaker 1: into a hit. This is the Steve Harping Morning Show,
- 10:54Speaker 1: a very very grateful show, show field with gratitude and love.
- 10:57Speaker 1: And we will be funny today. Amongst her the things.
- 11:00Speaker 1: We will be sharing some information, and we will be
- 11:04Speaker 1: ridiculing one another from time to time in joke form,
- 11:09Speaker 1: and we will be looking at each other upside each
- 11:13Speaker 1: other's heads by some of the responses we give. We
- 11:17Speaker 1: thank the Lord for zooming because it has kept us
- 11:19Speaker 1: together as a unit, even though we're far a hard
- 11:22Speaker 1: in miles. Here together to bring you the Steve Harvey
- 11:26Speaker 1: Morning Show with Shirley Strawberry whose zoom works whenever it
- 11:31Speaker 1: won't to Colin for real, the Mouth of the South Mississippi,
- 11:38Speaker 1: Monica Junior whose name is actually killed Space and the
- 11:42Speaker 1: legend that he isn't a few time it Junior horse
- 11:45Speaker 1: on your mind, Oh pig dog, let me ask you something.
- 11:49Speaker 1: Trust trusting people. You know you said you have to
- 11:53Speaker 1: have a good team with people around you. How do
- 11:55Speaker 1: you find out what the people that you don't like,
- 11:57Speaker 1: you don't trust. Is it hard to get rid of them? No, No,
- 12:04Speaker 1: it's hard to hold on to them because you sometimes,
- 12:10Speaker 1: as a good person, you want to give the person
- 12:11Speaker 1: benefit of the doubt, and you want you don't want
- 12:14Speaker 1: to come across as a person that's not an understanding
- 12:17Speaker 1: of a person that's lacking in some area of their life.
- 12:20Speaker 1: So you try to be a little bit more accommodating
- 12:22Speaker 1: and try to give them a little bit of a a
- 12:24Speaker 1: chance to maybe self correction things like that. But bad
- 12:28Speaker 1: people don't don't really make self corrections, and it's not
- 12:32Speaker 1: up to you to try to correct them. Just put
- 12:33Speaker 1: that in God's hand, cut them loose and going about
- 12:36Speaker 1: your business, and try to remember this. Everybody come with
- 12:40Speaker 1: you can't go with you and so and some people
- 12:43Speaker 1: are in your lives just for a season. And you
- 12:46Speaker 1: got to realize that everybody ain't gonna make the whole trip.
- 12:50Speaker 1: Some people. That's why the bus make a bunch of stops.
- 12:53Speaker 1: Everybody ain't going to your destination. Some people get on
- 12:57Speaker 1: the bus, you enjoy their conversation, and they stop, come up,
- 13:00Speaker 1: and they get off the bus. You say thank you now,
- 13:02Speaker 1: And then sometimes a butthole get on the bus and
- 13:04Speaker 1: be over there the whole time. And you be telling
- 13:06Speaker 1: a man when they stop at and you need to
- 13:08Speaker 1: let them be able to get off the boat when
- 13:10Speaker 1: it's get off the bus, when it's time for them
- 13:11Speaker 1: to get off the bus. You understand. That's the knowalog
- 13:14Speaker 1: y'all wanted to pay for. You know, junior, everybody can't
- 13:16Speaker 1: go with you and ever some people in your life
- 13:18Speaker 1: just for a season. And when you realize that you
- 13:21Speaker 1: got to let them get off and go on where
- 13:22Speaker 1: they're going, they best. Thank you. Let me tell you
- 13:26Speaker 1: why somebody getting fired today. You heard them? Thank you.
- 13:30Speaker 1: I hope you're listening to the morning Uh, coming up
- 13:33Speaker 1: at thirty two minutes after the hour, we're gonna start
- 13:37Speaker 1: the show off with nephew Tommy's run that prank back
- 13:40Speaker 1: right after this. Yeah, you're listening to show. It is

- 22:11Speaker 1: was just having good sex and you thought that's what
- 22:13Speaker 1: you wanted to have the rest of your life. Well,
- 22:16Speaker 1: guess what its moti life than good sex. So you

- 23:01Speaker 1: the car. He ain't pay no bills. He's sitting there,
- 23:04Speaker 1: he lights his off. He don't know what to do.
- 23:08Speaker 1: Oh but he can't bring that though. But I love
- 23:16Speaker 1: for Brad. She's got to give him a picture of that.
- 23:18Speaker 1: You got just what you wanted. Deal with it. Sorry,
- 23:26Speaker 1: bet you bet you better next time, because this ain't
- 23:29Speaker 1: gonna last, all right, Katherine and Teaneck says, I'm a
- 23:35Speaker 1: dog mom and my boyfriend loves dogs too. When we
- 23:39Speaker 1: talk about marriage and having children, he says, pets are
- 23:42Speaker 1: a lot easier and less expensive even when we're serious,
- 23:46Speaker 1: he says this. Does this mean that he doesn't want children?
- 23:50Speaker 1: What does sound like to you? What does sound like
- 23:54Speaker 1: to you? Does this mean he don't won't cheat you?
- 23:57Speaker 1: Why don't you ask him? Do he won't chea asking?
- 24:01Speaker 1: You know what you're asking us fault? Why don't you
- 24:04Speaker 1: say because you don't want to run the risk of
- 24:06Speaker 1: losing him? Just say, listen, I really want a family.
- 24:10Speaker 1: Are you against having children or are you for having
- 24:13Speaker 1: a family? And start that conversation and conversation before you
- 24:17Speaker 1: get married, and don't get married and just try to
- 24:19Speaker 1: pop up pregnant. That ain't gonna work. No man, you
- 24:24Speaker 1: got a chance to talk about this, don't write us.
- 24:30Speaker 1: That's your advice. Moving on, Moving on to Adrian and Pelham.
- 24:36Speaker 1: Adrian says, my daughter is twenty eight and she won't
- 24:39Speaker 1: move out of my house because she says it's not
- 24:42Speaker 1: my house. When her dad and I divorced years ago,
- 24:45Speaker 1: he was ordered to pay the mortgage, so he told
- 24:48Speaker 1: her she can stay. Should I move out and let
- 24:50Speaker 1: them have it? I don't understand, no one, I don't really,
- 24:57Speaker 1: I don't care what you do. I mean, should I
- 25:01Speaker 1: move out and let them have it? You know you
- 25:04Speaker 1: got the house and the divorce your daughter won't leave.
- 25:10Speaker 1: First of all, it really ain't your daughter's house. I
- 25:14Speaker 1: can tell you that right now in the divorce. I
- 25:17Speaker 1: bet when y'all bought the house, I bet she didn't
- 25:19Speaker 1: have a dollar to chip in on it. I bet
- 25:22Speaker 1: her name was never on the mortgage, and I bet
- 25:25Speaker 1: she never did anything to become homeowner. So now, first
- 25:29Speaker 1: of all, I don't know why you're taking this from
- 25:31Speaker 1: your daughter. Y'all be letting these kids have too many
- 25:33Speaker 1: mony get your ass out. I tell you what be
- 25:37Speaker 1: here when I get out work, see what happened. But see,
- 25:41Speaker 1: ain't no consequences, y'all, y'all raise y'all kids like they're
- 25:44Speaker 1: your friends. You know so now so now she treating
- 25:47Speaker 1: you like y'all friends because you didn't decide it too
- 25:50Speaker 1: late to pary so you know, you know now you're
- 25:54Speaker 1: talking about should I move out and let them have
- 25:56Speaker 1: it if you want to, because obviously you're not gonna
- 26:01Speaker 1: confront your daughter. Who you scared of? Yeah, I ain't.
- 26:05Speaker 1: I ain't got nothing not made. I'm scared of nothing.
- 26:08Speaker 1: You can lyne all my boys up in the row
- 26:10Speaker 1: and let the ass whippments begin. Now. They can whoop me, now,
- 26:15Speaker 1: call them jump on me right now. They can whoop me.
- 26:18Speaker 1: But they know the first one that come in, though
- 26:21Speaker 1: it's gonna be two on one called the first one
- 26:23Speaker 1: in getting hear the had knocked out the first one here.
- 26:27Speaker 1: And I can tell you they ain't gonna be winning
- 26:29Speaker 1: because he know, yeah, yeah, it ain't gonna be winning.
- 26:35Speaker 1: He's not coming in first. I ain't scared of damn thing.
- 26:39Speaker 1: I mean, yeah, all right, Rowena and Madison says, I've
- 26:47Speaker 1: been married for eighteen years. All of my husband's clothes.
- 26:51Speaker 1: He's never like shopping and definitely has never done online shopping. Yesterday,
- 26:56Speaker 1: a package filled with box of briefs and t shirts
- 26:59Speaker 1: came for him. He said he decided to treat himself.
- 27:03Speaker 1: Why is he buying new underwear all of a sudden?
- 27:08Speaker 1: I don't draws? You know, you ain't bought none. So
- 27:14Speaker 1: maybe the man just wanted to try online shopping and
- 27:17Speaker 1: wear better to try with this items that can't nobody see?
- 27:20Speaker 1: He bought some draws online? Why is he buying new
- 27:24Speaker 1: draws because he needs them? Stopped reading? Anger? You know,
- 27:30Speaker 1: now if he buys some teddies and stuff online and
- 27:33Speaker 1: it ain't your size, then now we got problems. You know,
- 27:36Speaker 1: boxing condoms come in. We got a problem. She thinks
- 27:40Speaker 1: he's cheating. You know. Thats because because he bought some
- 27:44Speaker 1: new draws. Yeah, because he bought new underwear. Change your behavior.
- 27:48Speaker 1: Who's he buying this new underwear for? I buy all
- 27:52Speaker 1: his clothes, you know, I buy all his stuff. She
- 27:55Speaker 1: gonna get him some new draws when, Yeah, that's all
- 28:01Speaker 1: we really need to know, because he going damn I'm
- 28:03Speaker 1: taking these pants off. Okay, if he is cheating, let's
- 28:06Speaker 1: let's just look at the logic. Let's say he is cheating. Okay,
- 28:10Speaker 1: let's just go from there. You ain't buying him no
- 28:13Speaker 1: new draws. He gotta take his pants off of these
- 28:15Speaker 1: old draws on in front of people. Now, what you
- 28:18Speaker 1: want him to do? At least you could do in
- 28:22Speaker 1: front of these people, these people passing judgment on him.
- 28:25Speaker 1: All he hedded back in his mind is his mom saying,
- 28:28Speaker 1: change your underwear case you have to go to the hospital.
- 28:32Speaker 1: We've all heard it now. Yeah, maybe he's scared of
- 28:36Speaker 1: going to the hospital. Within bragging head draws or whatever. Now,
- 28:41Speaker 1: but where do you get Where do you get that
- 28:42Speaker 1: she's not buying him a new underwear? Where do you
- 28:45Speaker 1: get that she said she's been married for eighteen years.
- 28:47Speaker 1: If you ain't bout this man no draws in eighteen years,
- 28:52Speaker 1: don't you think it's time for him to get some
- 28:55Speaker 1: new draws? What do that have to do with cheating?
- 29:00Speaker 1: You've been made eighteen years and you have yet to
- 29:03Speaker 1: buy the man some drown. That is my god, man,

- 36:43Speaker 1: you comedians on this show. No, no, you're don't very difficult.
- 36:48Speaker 1: They told me, no, you don't know, you don't, because
- 36:54Speaker 1: who the hell love being boomed? And then I didn't
- 36:57Speaker 1: feel like they were booing me. Who who you think
- 37:01Speaker 1: theyre boing? I think they was challenging, need to do better.
- 37:05Speaker 1: That's what the boo in this fault. We don't bought
- 37:07Speaker 1: our tickets. You said you was funny, now we're waiting
- 37:10Speaker 1: on it. It's just that he's he's learning this very
- 37:14Speaker 1: very difficult craft in large arenas because he has a
- 37:18Speaker 1: name going in so he's on shows that's that that's
- 37:22Speaker 1: got to sell out capacity written all over for whatever
- 37:25Speaker 1: the reason whether he's with the other bigger name comedians,
- 37:28Speaker 1: well all of them got a bigger name than him
- 37:30Speaker 1: in comedy, but he's got a huge name as a
- 37:34Speaker 1: star in hip hop. But that serves you nothing. Maybe
- 37:40Speaker 1: maybe you should wrap and then maybe try to drop
- 37:43Speaker 1: a joke in between a couple of songs. I'm just traveling.
- 37:47Speaker 1: I'm telling me this, let's just stop. Let's yeah. What
- 37:52Speaker 1: you say, Junior, They told me get your ass off
- 37:56Speaker 1: steaks I was doing. I was, I saw the tape.
- 38:07Speaker 1: You learned this craft in the grunt rooms. You got
- 38:10Speaker 1: to get up in front of them audiences, man, and
- 38:12Speaker 1: your first fifteen tries can't be at the Barclay. Sorry,
- 38:17Speaker 1: because you're gonna come out there, man, because here's a problem.
- 38:21Speaker 1: In order to be successful, you're gonna have to learn
- 38:23Speaker 1: how to produce house laughs. House laughs is when eighty
- 38:26Speaker 1: five percent of the room is laughing at a particular joke.
- 38:29Speaker 1: That's how you earn a living. If you're not producing
- 38:32Speaker 1: an occasional house laugh, you can't stay on this stage.
- 38:35Speaker 1: Now you're in the room. Let's say you're at the Barclays,
- 38:38Speaker 1: and the Barclays is five thousand people. You've told a
- 38:42Speaker 1: joke that a thousand people laugh at. Man, do you
- 38:45Speaker 1: know how many people that is ain't laughing? So, now, homie,
- 38:49Speaker 1: you got a problem because you're trying to dig yourself
- 38:51Speaker 1: out of a hole in front of these four thousands
- 38:54Speaker 1: who was starting to get the feeling that you ain't funny.
- 38:57Speaker 1: And what's less was I saw the ki told about
- 39:01Speaker 1: going into this high end gas station and how women
- 39:04Speaker 1: need to use a battle. I saw that joke, and
- 39:07Speaker 1: that joke didn't get five hundred people, lad Like, I said,
- 39:10Speaker 1: this ain't the craft you can learn on the fly
- 39:13Speaker 1: in front of big houses. All right, Well, moving on,
- 39:17Speaker 1: coming up at thirty four minutes after the hour, we're

- 42:03Speaker 1: I just, you know, tend to every nine inn by
- 42:06Speaker 1: water and fertilize them, remaining positive, prayerful, you know, in
- 42:10Speaker 1: hopes of you know, doing the good wheel and all

- 43:41Speaker 1: not me, that's just me allowing him to use me.
- 43:47Speaker 1: I'm a good person, but I ain't, you know, not

- 54:06Speaker 1: It is strawberryletta subject what's the rush? Dear Stephen Shirley.
- 54:13Speaker 1: I've been with the same man for eleven years and
- 54:15Speaker 1: he asked me to marry him four years ago. Now,
- 54:18Speaker 1: all of a sudden, he wants to set a wedding
- 54:21Speaker 1: date but I do not want to. I met him
- 54:24Speaker 1: in college, and I thought we were destined to have
- 54:26Speaker 1: a great love story. I was twenty and he was
- 54:29Speaker 1: twenty two, and our chemistry was amazing. When I was
- 54:34Speaker 1: twenty two, I got pregnant and we moved in together.
- 54:37Speaker 1: I got a job while he got his master's degree,
- 54:40Speaker 1: and he told me soon as he finished his degree
- 54:44Speaker 1: he was going to make me his wife. On his
- 54:47Speaker 1: graduation night, I got pregnant again. He got a really
- 54:51Speaker 1: good job, and I started teaching school. I fell in
- 54:55Speaker 1: love with my job and raising our children, so I
- 54:57Speaker 1: didn't really realize that I was playing house and this
- 55:00Speaker 1: man did not plan to marry me. I want to
- 55:03Speaker 1: stay with my mother for a while so I could
- 55:05Speaker 1: clear my head. He begged me to come back home,
- 55:09Speaker 1: and he promised that he was about to propose. Years
- 55:12Speaker 1: passed by and he didn't. His father overheard us bussing
- 55:16Speaker 1: one day, and he advised his son to either marry
- 55:19Speaker 1: me or let me go. A few weeks later, he
- 55:23Speaker 1: asked me to be his wife. That was four years ago,
- 55:26Speaker 1: and I was ready to do it right then he
- 55:29Speaker 1: kept stalling and asking me, what's the rush eye and
- 55:34Speaker 1: moved past it now for the marriage, and I don't
- 55:38Speaker 1: want him anymore. I don't even wear my ring and
- 55:41Speaker 1: he hasn't noticed. He invited my mother over last weekend
- 55:44Speaker 1: to talk about wedding dates and I was checked out
- 55:47Speaker 1: of the conversation. When my mother left, I asked him,
- 55:51Speaker 1: what's the rush? He hasn't spoken to me in over
- 55:54Speaker 1: a week because of my attitude? How can I not
- 55:57Speaker 1: be allowed to have an attitude? Should I give the
- 56:00Speaker 1: ring back or move on? Or should I marry an
- 56:03Speaker 1: old friend and maybe dad that I don't love anymore?
- 56:07Speaker 1: Please don't do that if that's the truth. I mean,
- 56:10Speaker 1: why would you marry someone that you don't love anymore?
- 56:15Speaker 1: That makes about as much sense as him walking around
- 56:17Speaker 1: for more than a week not talking to you because
- 56:20Speaker 1: you said to him, what's the rush? The man is
- 56:24Speaker 1: too him mature for you. I think you have to
- 56:27Speaker 1: let him, you know. I kind of blame it on
- 56:30Speaker 1: you a little bit, because you've let him get away
- 56:33Speaker 1: with too much stuff in this relationship. He's not kept
- 56:36Speaker 1: his word on anything. And where does he think you
- 56:39Speaker 1: got what's the rush? From? You got it from him?
- 56:42Speaker 1: He said it to you first, I mean to the
- 56:45Speaker 1: real red flag and it's a glimpse into what marriage
- 56:49Speaker 1: might be like with this man. I mean, this entire
- 56:51Speaker 1: letter is about your lives together. Since you were twenty
- 56:55Speaker 1: and twenty two years old, the main thing you wanted
- 56:58Speaker 1: was to marry this man. He kept putting it off
- 57:01Speaker 1: because there was no incentive to marry you. You already
- 57:05Speaker 1: had the babies early on, you were living together. He
- 57:08Speaker 1: had what he wanted right there, without the benefit of marriage.
- 57:11Speaker 1: And now he sees you've changed, so he's trying to
- 57:14Speaker 1: step up, but it's too late. You're over it. You say,
- 57:18Speaker 1: it's at least the marriage part. I mean. The sad
- 57:21Speaker 1: thing is you guys do have two children, so you
- 57:24Speaker 1: have to talk to each other. You gotta communicate. I mean,
- 57:27Speaker 1: I think this fairy tale you have, of this great
- 57:30Speaker 1: love story you want it, I think that's over. The
- 57:33Speaker 1: reality is eleven years later, you're miserable, you're ready to walk,
- 57:38Speaker 1: and you're writing us. I say, go in peace, knowing
- 57:41Speaker 1: that you dodged a bullet from not marrying this guy.
- 57:44Speaker 1: After all these years, I think you should get your
- 57:46Speaker 1: child support and move on. When you do fall in
- 57:49Speaker 1: love again with the right man. The next time, when
- 57:52Speaker 1: he proposed a set a date, start planning immediately. Okay,
- 57:55Speaker 1: don't waste time, Steve. I'm in two and a half minutes.
- 58:00Speaker 1: This is what I'm gonna do. And then in the
- 58:01Speaker 1: second half, I'm gonna show you how this works. I'm
- 58:04Speaker 1: gonna show you about thirteen questionable statements in this letter.
- 58:08Speaker 1: He asked me to marry him four years ago. That's one.
- 58:11Speaker 1: He wanted to set a wedding date, but I do not.
- 58:14Speaker 1: That's two. When I was twenty two, I got pregnant
- 58:17Speaker 1: and we moved in together. That's three. I got a
- 58:21Speaker 1: job while he got his master degree and told me
- 58:23Speaker 1: soon as he finished his degree, he was gonna make
- 58:25Speaker 1: me his wife. That's four. The fifth statement was I
- 58:29Speaker 1: fell in love with my job and raising our children,
- 58:31Speaker 1: so I didn't realize I was playing house and this
- 58:33Speaker 1: man did not plan to marry me. That's five. The
- 58:37Speaker 1: next statement was I tried and wanted to clear my head,
- 58:41Speaker 1: so I went to stay with my mama. He begged
- 58:43Speaker 1: me to come back, and now he promised that he
- 58:45Speaker 1: was going to about to propose. That's six years go buying.
- 58:48Speaker 1: His father overheard us fussing one day and he advised
- 58:52Speaker 1: his son either marry me or let me go. That's seven.
- 58:56Speaker 1: That was four years ago. A week later, he asked
- 58:59Speaker 1: me to be his wife. That's eight. That was four
- 59:01Speaker 1: years ago, and I was ready to do it right
- 59:03Speaker 1: then he kept stalling and asking me, what's the rush?
- 59:05Speaker 1: That's nine. I cried and moved past it. Now I'm
- 59:08Speaker 1: over the marriage and I don't want him anymore. That's ten.
- 59:11Speaker 1: I don't wear my ring and he hasn't notice. That's eleven.
- 59:15Speaker 1: He invited his mother over my mother over last weekend
- 59:18Speaker 1: to discuss wedding dates. I was checked out of the conversation.
- 59:20Speaker 1: When my mother left, I asked you, what was the rush?
- 59:23Speaker 1: That's twelve. He has an He hasn't spoken to me
- 59:26Speaker 1: in over a week because of my attitude. So how
- 59:28Speaker 1: can I not be allowed to have an attitude? Should
- 59:30Speaker 1: I give the ring back and move on? Or should
- 59:33Speaker 1: I marry an old friend and baby daddy that I
- 59:36Speaker 1: don't love anymore? That's thirteen in a one page letter
- 59:43Speaker 1: I just read to you thirteen very questionable statements. Do
- 59:49Speaker 1: this sound like marriage to you? Not at all? If
- 59:54Speaker 1: you don't love somebody, I can promise you marriage is
- 59:57Speaker 1: out of the question, right Because you're gonna need that
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: mode and money, because I'm telling you, man, money don't
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: keep a relationship together. Love can overcome a multitude of sins,
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: but if you ain't in love, it's no way you
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: can get married and stay married. All right, Steve, hang on,
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: we're waiting for part two of your response. Come on,
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: all right. Title of this strawberry letter, what's the Rush?
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: We'll find out more when we come back. Right, you're
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: listening show? All right, Come on, Steve, Let's recap today's
- 1:00:40Speaker 1: strawberry letter, the subject what's the rush? We just went
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: through this letter about all these reasons that this woman
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: don't need to marry this man. I gave you thirteen
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: questionable statements. At the end of the letter, this lady
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: just said, should I marry an old friend and baby
- 1:00:56Speaker 1: daddy that I don't love anymore? They've been together for
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: eleven years, and he'd been lying about getting married, stall
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: and putting it all, making false promises over and over
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: and over and over. This man. You realize, after you
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: had two children and found a school teaching job you love,
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: that this man was just playing house and did not
- 1:01:20Speaker 1: pretend he didn't even want to get married. Because I've
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: told you all ladies, about this. The wedding day may
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: be the day of your dream, but the man does
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: not have a wedding day as the day of his dream.
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: We only dream of the chick of our dream. And
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: if we can get you without the day, what's the rush?
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: And he just proved what I've been saying for years,
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: so he has you. What's the rush? Ladies? This is
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: what I want to do. Caller Shirley, let me have
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: your undivided attention. Please, we're going to do a reenactment.
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: I am gonna be mister who's the rush? I don't
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: care what you ask me. I'm gonna find a way
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: not to get married. You can make it sound as
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: wonderful as you like. Just make a stay eaten and
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: I am the person that don't want to get married,
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: and I would give you reasons why we can't get married.
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: You don't have to worry about this letter, Shirley and Carlin.
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: You can ask me anything you want, any happy remark
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: about the wedding day, about what your plans are. You
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: can do anything, and I'll just tell you why we
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: can't do it. Ready, said he It is, honey, I
- 1:02:23Speaker 1: just got my wedding dress. I'm so excited. Oh man,
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: that's real nice man. Wedding dresses is they're so nice,
- 1:02:31Speaker 1: you know, but you know, spending all that money for
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: what you know what I mean a dress? You ain't
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: got no dresses. Guess what. My friend is getting married
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: and I just got her save the date in the mail,
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: the invitation to save the day. I'm so exciting. That's cool.
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: I can't wait to go to her way in either
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: say that date. So what Yeah, yeah, let's say that date.
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: That's beautiful. Man, that's good. I'm with that man. So
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: marked day down? Yeah, I got it her sixteen, Yeah
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: it down, got it December sixteen, Special days when we
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: gonna go shopping. And what we're gonna wear. Oh, we
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: can wear all that baby, baby, baby, what you want
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: to wear? What you want? Just let anything you want
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: to separated and dress, you know, you let anything you
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: want to. Honey, I'm pregnant again, man, as well make
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: an honest you pregnant again? Might as well make a
- 1:03:42Speaker 1: hort an honest woman out of me. Marry me, baby, baby.
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: One of the main characteristics that I love about you
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: is your honesty. I don't you know you've been honest
- 1:03:55Speaker 1: with me the whole time with how you are. That's
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: the beautiful thing. But you're already an honest person. You
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: need all that to prove to somebody you an honest woman.
- 1:04:04Speaker 1: You know you've already had the baby. You didn't done
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: all the tricky stuff anyway, and anybody's going to believe
- 1:04:08Speaker 1: you honest nor hon You know, you know you set
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: up here and done all this here. Now you want
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: somebody believe you honest, you know, like you're honest for it.
- 1:04:16Speaker 1: You know we have done the dude now you know
- 1:04:18Speaker 1: baby coming. Everybody know you and all that honest. Ain't
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: know what it needs, you know me, you know, you
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: know you know, but let's seal the deal. Let's seal
- 1:04:27Speaker 1: the deal. Seeing that right there. See that sounds like stealing.
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: You know you don't be talking to talking to Lord
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: about stuff like that. You know we're gonna seal a deal.
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: That's what. That's why I love the church Ill go to,
- 1:04:39Speaker 1: you know, because they try to keep us seeing free.
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: You know. Now we've already been in seein, been mad,
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: you know, have come, you know, you know, compatulating all
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: this before mad. Now all of a sudden, you know
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: you wanta go seal a deal, you know, just like
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: go to hell. You know it don't make no sense. Calling?
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: All right, So we've been talking all this stuff about wedding.
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: When are we gonna set our date? Because I had
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: some dates in mind? So do you want a summer wedding,
- 1:05:07Speaker 1: Christmas winter wedding? Yeah? I was thinking more like a
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: leap year wedding. I love it. I love that long.
- 1:05:21Speaker 1: But see that'd be good then, you know, you know,
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: give us time to play and everything like that. So
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: that's the date I'm looking forward to next time we
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: have leap yea, yeah, go ahead. Well, honey, I talked
- 1:05:33Speaker 1: to the pastor and he said he's ready and all
- 1:05:37Speaker 1: we have to do is get back with him and
- 1:05:39Speaker 1: let him know when we're ready. So he's set to
- 1:05:43Speaker 1: officiate our ceremony. And I'm just so excited, you know
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: how much. That's all good? But I just changed churches

- 1:06:29Speaker 1: so happy. Dad was ill. You know, he was sick,
- 1:06:32Speaker 1: but he's better now. And he said he will walk
- 1:06:34Speaker 1: down the aisle. He's ready. Yeah, he's gonna walk me down. Dad,
- 1:06:38Speaker 1: My dad, Dad, Baby, you're sick, ass, daddy, he's no longer.
- 1:06:45Speaker 1: You think I'm gonna be standing up there and watch

- 1:10:08Speaker 1: was National eight Track Day, Steve, and Steve, you gonna
- 1:10:13Speaker 1: school us on music from back in the day right
- 1:10:15Speaker 1: after this, Hey are you you're listening to show? All right?
- 1:10:23Speaker 1: So Steve, yesterday was National eight Track Tape Day. So
- 1:10:27Speaker 1: two things. First, we want to explain what eight what
- 1:10:31Speaker 1: eight tracks are okay to this new gentleman. And second,
- 1:10:35Speaker 1: we all love Bruno, Mars and Anderson Pack, Silk Sonic.
- 1:10:38Speaker 1: Their sound is music back in the Day and Silk
- 1:10:41Speaker 1: Sonic's new single is Love's Train, a remake from Confunction.
- 1:10:45Speaker 1: So here's a little bit, Stevey, Oh number causleep too
- 1:11:09Speaker 1: hot for me? Hold back baby calep too. We need
- 1:11:23Speaker 1: to call me if I chance, Yeah, I gotta call it,
- 1:11:41Speaker 1: eat baby die. That number. Ain't nobody come on if
- 1:11:55Speaker 1: my dad come along. You ain't saying it hard enough.
- 1:11:59Speaker 1: Bruno never have it. Let him have it, and in
- 1:12:08Speaker 1: my chance I can come. Oh, I'm begging your nar Yeah.
- 1:12:21Speaker 1: What y'all don't know is that's that's confunction. Yes, Michael Cooper, Yeah,
- 1:12:29Speaker 1: bruning him doing it good. But what he ain't saying
- 1:12:32Speaker 1: hard enough? You got you gott You gotta sing that
- 1:12:36Speaker 1: song like he's fitting the tap like something the tall good. Yeah,
- 1:12:42Speaker 1: that's you gotta come up, you gotta come, you gotta.
- 1:12:44Speaker 1: It's gotta be guttural. And I appreciate Bruno and Anderson Packers.
- 1:12:51Speaker 1: They keep it it real. They the best thing in
- 1:12:52Speaker 1: music right now. What's your question, though, Charley, what's an
- 1:12:56Speaker 1: example of guttural? Guttural? Guttural? Yeah, just give us an example.
- 1:13:02Speaker 1: Let me, let me, let me think like it's so
- 1:13:05Speaker 1: many out but see it, say like this is how
- 1:13:10Speaker 1: a song start. He gave you and he wasn't true.
- 1:13:19Speaker 1: He tried to find another girl. Here we go, sweeter
- 1:13:25Speaker 1: than you got glutt got tired and a little soft
- 1:13:33Speaker 1: punk singing, and it's time to just get down into
- 1:13:36Speaker 1: what we're in here for. Our songs have pain wrapped
- 1:13:39Speaker 1: up in it, and damn it, we need to sound
- 1:13:41Speaker 1: like his pain. Next question, Okay, we'll explain eight tracks.
- 1:13:48Speaker 1: Eight track looked like not give you an example. Have
- 1:13:52Speaker 1: you ever seen a paperback book? Yah? Yah, take a
- 1:13:55Speaker 1: paperback book? Cut it in half. That's an eight track
- 1:14:00Speaker 1: eight track. About that thick look like a paperback. It's
- 1:14:04Speaker 1: about that thick as a paperback cut in had Now
- 1:14:07Speaker 1: on the head has songs, but on an eight track,
- 1:14:11Speaker 1: it has channels fold channels on an eight track. So
- 1:14:15Speaker 1: in the middle of your song, it's got a switch
- 1:14:18Speaker 1: channels and you're gonna hit it click at a certain
- 1:14:22Speaker 1: part of the song. Two damn bad. You don't get
- 1:14:25Speaker 1: to pick when the click is it? Click over it?
- 1:14:28Speaker 1: But it continued. It's an eight track. You can only
- 1:14:31Speaker 1: have about sixteen m in your car at a time.
- 1:14:35Speaker 1: That's it. That's the math, or else or else somebody
- 1:14:39Speaker 1: can't ride. It's sixteen at a time, or somebody else
- 1:14:45Speaker 1: can't ride. You get a fault pack or eight pack,
- 1:14:48Speaker 1: and somebody can ride. Once you get a thirty two,
- 1:14:51Speaker 1: contain them somebody can't ride, to take them a whole seat.
- 1:14:55Speaker 1: That's how we carr music with us back then, uh huh.
- 1:15:01Speaker 1: We'll have more of the Steve Harvey Morning Show coming
- 1:15:03Speaker 1: up at twenty minutes after, right after this, you're listening
- 1:15:06Speaker 1: to show. All right, So this Sunday, we know, is
- 1:15:12Speaker 1: Easter Sunday, and a lot of people get you know,
- 1:15:16Speaker 1: a lot of kids get Easter baskets. So here's the question.
- 1:15:19Speaker 1: If you were to receive an adult Easter basket, what
- 1:15:23Speaker 1: would you want in it? What would you want in
- 1:15:25Speaker 1: your Steve, you're asking me now or when I was single?
- 1:15:32Speaker 1: I think when you were single would be more interesting.
- 1:15:34Speaker 1: So let's go with that. Yeah, the Easter Bunny would
- 1:15:37Speaker 1: actually be a girl. The Easter Bunny would be a girl. Yeah,
- 1:15:46Speaker 1: Jessica rabbit in female form, but in live. Oh lord, yeah,
- 1:15:53Speaker 1: that had been my Easter basket. Yeah, I like that?
- 1:15:58Speaker 1: All right? What about your neph Harlotte Barry right in
- 1:16:01Speaker 1: that basket? Right? Yes? Lord? Single? Or now? Back when
- 1:16:11Speaker 1: I was single, back when I was saying, okay, of course,
- 1:16:14Speaker 1: thank you. Thought that'd help you out? All right? Come on,
- 1:16:17Speaker 1: jering you what you got Easter dinner? Just you want
- 1:16:20Speaker 1: to eat some hams? Yeah? I got to eat You know,
- 1:16:22Speaker 1: Holliday's be hard when you single. You gotta figure out
- 1:16:25Speaker 1: where you go eat it. It's kind of going to
- 1:16:27Speaker 1: people's houses. On East. I eat that a here in
- 1:16:28Speaker 1: my basket. That's what I need. Got a big get
- 1:16:34Speaker 1: way to somebody house. That's difficult work to do. All right,
- 1:16:40Speaker 1: thank you guys. Coming up in thirty three minutes after
- 1:16:43Speaker 1: the hour, we'll play a round I would you rather
- 1:16:45Speaker 1: right after this, you're listening to show time for another
- 1:16:51Speaker 1: round of would you rather? Steve? Yes? Would you rather
- 1:16:55Speaker 1: be a star player on a losing basketball team? Or
- 1:16:58Speaker 1: would you ride the bench on winning basketball team? Which one?
- 1:17:04Speaker 1: I might as well get on that bench that winning
- 1:17:06Speaker 1: team because I'm out there win't gonna win. Nephew, Yeah,
- 1:17:14Speaker 1: I'm on the bench. Okay, Junior, I know you want
- 1:17:18Speaker 1: to be a star player. What about you? I love
- 1:17:21Speaker 1: to transit. Here I go again tonight because I got
- 1:17:24Speaker 1: a carross again. Huh, you love, Junior? Coach. We know
- 1:17:31Speaker 1: who ain't gonna show up. I'm gonna get your little
- 1:17:35Speaker 1: last gona be a middle Another question, all right? Would
- 1:17:43Speaker 1: you rather eat the oldest thing in the office bridge
- 1:17:46Speaker 1: or clean the office bathroom? You bathroom? Ye, I'm gonna
- 1:17:55Speaker 1: get fired. Yeah, so you're not doing either. You're not
- 1:18:00Speaker 1: promise you I'm not cleaning that damn bad. I don't
- 1:18:04Speaker 1: clean my own. So I well, we're gonna hear with
- 1:18:07Speaker 1: no damn that little brush with that little tidded bowl
- 1:18:12Speaker 1: and a sponge and some rubber gloves were not finn
- 1:18:15Speaker 1: to do that job. I don't give a damn. I'm fine.
- 1:18:19Speaker 1: I probably lost my job, and I don't want nothing
- 1:18:23Speaker 1: in that damn refrigerator. I'm m out of work, man.
- 1:18:25Speaker 1: I didn't quit. We clearly I might. I might open
- 1:18:33Speaker 1: up that refrigerator and eat something and tell you I
- 1:18:34Speaker 1: eat the oldest thing, and just eat something out of
- 1:18:39Speaker 1: missus Geraldine's lunch, because miss Geraldine could cook her ass. Also,
- 1:18:42Speaker 1: I would eat miss geraldine food. Yeah, but I'm not
- 1:18:46Speaker 1: going in that damn bad food, no disinfected. I ain't
- 1:18:50Speaker 1: gonna going here with no spray. Now you're not gonna
- 1:18:53Speaker 1: see me cleaning the toilet, ye all right? All right?
- 1:18:58Speaker 1: So see we know you don't We know you have
- 1:19:00Speaker 1: people to clean, But just for fun, would you rather
- 1:19:03Speaker 1: do the dishes or do the laundry? Oh? I got
- 1:19:06Speaker 1: a way better chance of getting them dishes, right, be
- 1:19:11Speaker 1: a lot of pink clothes. How to wash clothes? Hell? No,
- 1:19:17Speaker 1: I know getting here well, I don't know how to
- 1:19:18Speaker 1: wash no clothes. I don't know how to use the machine.
- 1:19:21Speaker 1: I don't even know what to do. I don't I
- 1:19:24Speaker 1: don't even know. I don't know where to do. You
- 1:19:25Speaker 1: ain't wash the load though, if you're wash now, when
- 1:19:31Speaker 1: the last time I washed the load of clothes? Did you?
- 1:19:35Speaker 1: Did you? Yeah? Did you? I ain't washed the load
- 1:19:39Speaker 1: of clothes. I know at least how long you go,
- 1:19:45Speaker 1: you're gonna have to go back. It was before the
- 1:19:48Speaker 1: Kennedy comedy is the nineties? All right? Coming up? It
- 1:19:53Speaker 1: is our last break of the day, and at forty
- 1:19:56Speaker 1: nine minutes after we'll have some closing remarks the one
- 1:20:00Speaker 1: and only Steve Harvey right after this you're listening to.
- 1:20:06Speaker 1: It is our last break of the day. Yes, it
- 1:20:08Speaker 1: is our last break of the day on this Tuesday.
- 1:20:11Speaker 1: It's been a good day. It's been a good day. Yeah,
- 1:20:18Speaker 1: it's so fast. Yeah, um, but um yeah, it's time
- 1:20:23Speaker 1: now for Steve to leave us with some clothes. Hey.
- 1:20:27Speaker 1: You know something, Um, I really you know, it's sort
- 1:20:33Speaker 1: of interesting, man, how you discover great things about people
- 1:20:40Speaker 1: after they're gone. Have you ever noticed that? Sometimes? Because
- 1:20:43Speaker 1: I think then people go finding tapes and reels of
- 1:20:47Speaker 1: stuff people said, But I was scrolling through social media
- 1:20:53Speaker 1: and I ran across Stephen A. Smith interviewing Kobe Bryant
- 1:20:57Speaker 1: one time. And I think it was right after the
- 1:21:02Speaker 1: incident with the girl at the hotel in Denver. I
- 1:21:05Speaker 1: think it was that incident right there, which I felt
- 1:21:10Speaker 1: all along for the thing. I thought it was like
- 1:21:12Speaker 1: some crazy bogus charges to me, it was because of
- 1:21:16Speaker 1: the way it went down, you know. But anyway, I
- 1:21:20Speaker 1: was watching this thing on the on the Instagram and
- 1:21:23Speaker 1: I'm gonna play it for you off my phone. It
- 1:21:26Speaker 1: was the most compelling thing that I've ever heard Kobe
- 1:21:30Speaker 1: Bryant say, and uh, I just want to play it
- 1:21:36Speaker 1: for you, and it was just it was just so
- 1:21:40Speaker 1: interesting man about his opinion of God, because I'd never
- 1:21:44Speaker 1: heard Kobe Brian speak about God in any capacity. And
- 1:21:49Speaker 1: so I want to play it for you right now.
- 1:21:53Speaker 1: Is that God is great. Don't get no simpler than that. Brother.
- 1:22:00Speaker 1: You know that, I mean, everybody knows that. But the
- 1:22:03Speaker 1: way you know it now, did you know it? You
- 1:22:06Speaker 1: can know it all you want, but until you got
- 1:22:08Speaker 1: to pick up that cross that you can't carry, and
- 1:22:10Speaker 1: He picks it up for you and carries you and
- 1:22:12Speaker 1: the cross did you know that was so compelling When
- 1:22:18Speaker 1: I heard Kobe Bryant talk. He was talking about God
- 1:22:22Speaker 1: is great, and then stephen A. Smith said, well, did
- 1:22:25Speaker 1: you know that before? He didn't. He said, well everybody,
- 1:22:28Speaker 1: stephen A said, everybody knows it. Well, everybody don't know it,
- 1:22:32Speaker 1: but a lot of people have come to the realization,
- 1:22:36Speaker 1: he said. And Kobe Bryant says, when you have to
- 1:22:40Speaker 1: pick up that cross that you can't carry, and He
- 1:22:44Speaker 1: picks up that cross for you and you too and
- 1:22:49Speaker 1: carries both of you, that's when you know how good
- 1:22:52Speaker 1: God is, how great he is. Because it's so it's
- 1:22:56Speaker 1: so sad for us as people, myself included, where we
- 1:23:00Speaker 1: discover the most about God in times of need, and
- 1:23:05Speaker 1: some of us, myself included, I have not had a
- 1:23:10Speaker 1: relationship with God until something goes wrong. And then when
- 1:23:14Speaker 1: he goes wrong and you have no answers, then all
- 1:23:16Speaker 1: of a sudden, I'm calling on him, Oh Father, God
- 1:23:18Speaker 1: help me. I ain't talking to y'all. I'm talking to myself.
- 1:23:22Speaker 1: I've been guilty of this myself. That's how I know
- 1:23:25Speaker 1: what I'm talking about and what I have found out.
- 1:23:29Speaker 1: It is far better for me to have a relationship
- 1:23:32Speaker 1: with God. When things are going okay and just fine,
- 1:23:37Speaker 1: then to wait on something to happen. Then I have
- 1:23:41Speaker 1: to call on him. I'm telling you, man, my mama
- 1:23:45Speaker 1: used to say something that I didn't get a long
- 1:23:47Speaker 1: time ago. She said, I call on Jesus every day.
- 1:23:52Speaker 1: I don't want to wait till something happens, and I
- 1:23:55Speaker 1: got to call him and introduce myself. That was It's
- 1:24:00Speaker 1: a compelling statement of Mama used to make. She said,
- 1:24:03Speaker 1: I would hate for something that happened to me, and
- 1:24:06Speaker 1: then I have to call him and introduce myself. I
- 1:24:09Speaker 1: want him to already know me, y'all. I'm telling you, man,
- 1:24:14Speaker 1: it's one of the greatest moves you can make. It's
- 1:24:17Speaker 1: to form a relationship with your creator. I don't care
- 1:24:21Speaker 1: what you call him. You can call him Jehovah. That's
- 1:24:24Speaker 1: absolutely fine and perfect. You can call him yah away,
- 1:24:27Speaker 1: you can call him Allah. It's beautiful. I'm telling you.
- 1:24:31Speaker 1: But you got to call him, and you've got to
- 1:24:34Speaker 1: form a relationship with your makeup. Kirk Franklin had a
- 1:24:42Speaker 1: book out one time, and I read this thing about it.
- 1:24:45Speaker 1: He said, he was giving this analogy of when your
- 1:24:48Speaker 1: car breaks down, when your car breaks down. If you're
- 1:24:53Speaker 1: reaching the glove compartment, there as an owner's manual in there,
- 1:24:57Speaker 1: and that owner's manual is put in there by the
- 1:25:01Speaker 1: maker of the car. If you're driving a Ford, the
- 1:25:08Speaker 1: book that you open up is from the Ford manufacturer
- 1:25:14Speaker 1: to tell you how to troubleshoot the problem you're having
- 1:25:17Speaker 1: with the Ford. If you are a Toyota, when you
- 1:25:23Speaker 1: open up the glove compartment, the manual that's in the
- 1:25:26Speaker 1: glove compartment is made by the people who manufacture Toyotas
- 1:25:34Speaker 1: he said, that's how you troubleshoot a car. You refer
- 1:25:38Speaker 1: back to the manual that was designed by the creator
- 1:25:43Speaker 1: of the vehicle. So when I get in trouble as
- 1:25:47Speaker 1: a Christian, I can troubleshoot my life by the manual
- 1:25:52Speaker 1: that was put together by my creator, which is a Bible.
- 1:25:57Speaker 1: But if you're a Muslim and creator is Allah, it's
- 1:26:02Speaker 1: a Koran. Do you understand, It's still how you trouble
- 1:26:06Speaker 1: shoot your life. But who am I to tell the
- 1:26:08Speaker 1: other person that they make ain't right for them. It's
- 1:26:11Speaker 1: only one God. It's whatever you call him. You can
- 1:26:13Speaker 1: call him whatever you want to, But I'm telling you
- 1:26:15Speaker 1: right now you need to have a relationship with God
- 1:26:17Speaker 1: so you can trouble shoot your life. That's my closing
- 1:26:20Speaker 1: remarks today. If you don't like that, would see you tomorrow.
- 1:26:25Speaker 1: Have a great day. Talk to God. He'd love to
- 1:26:28Speaker 1: hear from you. That's a fact too. For all Steve
