- 0:00Speaker 1: I was very clear when laying out and defining what
- 0:05Speaker 1: you know Maga Republicans have done. And you look at
- 0:08Speaker 1: the definition of fascism and you think about what they're
- 0:13Speaker 1: doing and attacking our democracy, what they're doing and taking
- 0:16Speaker 1: away our freedoms, taking away wanting to take away our rights,
- 0:21Speaker 1: our voting rights. I mean, that is what that is.
- 0:25Speaker 1: It is very clear the MAGA Republicans are the most
- 0:28Speaker 1: energized part of the Republican Party that extreme. This is
- 0:33Speaker 1: an extreme threat to our democracy, to our freedom, to
- 0:36Speaker 1: our rights. They just don't respect the rule of law.

- 2:08Speaker 1: five seven six eight one eight eight three, or you
- 2:12Speaker 1: can text the word cactus to six five five three two.
- 2:16Speaker 1: Welcome back to Verdict with Ted Cruz. Such a pleasure
- 2:20Speaker 1: to be joined by all of you semi fascists, you
- 2:24Speaker 1: extreme threats to democracy. Thank you so much, all of
- 2:28Speaker 1: you for subscribing to Verdict on YouTube and Spotify and
- 2:34Speaker 1: Apple podcasts and of course on locals at the Verdict
- 2:39Speaker 1: plus community. Please do that before you destroy the democracy. Senator,
- 2:45Speaker 1: were you aware? I was not aware. Were you aware
- 2:47Speaker 1: that we're all a bunch of fascists before the White
- 2:50Speaker 1: House told us so? You know, for a long time,
- 2:53Speaker 1: communists have been calling their enemies fascists. That has been
- 2:57Speaker 1: a talking point from the radical left. That being said,
- 3:01Speaker 1: you know, I think we're seeing a new development that
- 3:04Speaker 1: is really troubling. Which it is one thing for people
- 3:07Speaker 1: in politics to demonize their political opponents, it is an
- 3:11Speaker 1: entirely new threshold to start demonizing the voters. We would
- 3:17Speaker 1: should not be surprised to see Biden's White House Press
- 3:20Speaker 1: secretary saying nasty things about Donald Trump. We understand she
- 3:24Speaker 1: didn't like Donald Trump, doesn't like Donald Trump. We shouldn't
- 3:27Speaker 1: be surprised to see her saying nasty things about me
- 3:30Speaker 1: or other elected Republicans. This is a very different thing, though.
- 3:33Speaker 1: She is blasting half the country. I mean, this is
- 3:36Speaker 1: reminiscent of Hillary Clinton's deplorable's line, like if you dare
- 3:41Speaker 1: to vote against our regime. You're a fascist, you're a
- 3:47Speaker 1: deplorable And you know, part of the problem with that
- 3:50Speaker 1: is it sets the predicate then for people to be silenced,
- 3:54Speaker 1: for people to be canceled. It sets the predicate, you know,
- 3:58Speaker 1: to use the idiotic language of the left. In some ways,
- 4:00Speaker 1: it's it's an invitation to attack, it even an invitation
- 4:04Speaker 1: to violence. It is again to use the left language.
- 4:07Speaker 1: It is other ring and I think it is it
- 4:12Speaker 1: is harmful to our country. And the problem is Joe
- 4:15Speaker 1: Biden is doing it deliberately. The White House Press secretary
- 4:19Speaker 1: is doing it deliberately. These politicians and their henchmen have
- 4:23Speaker 1: decided to try to demonize half the country and it's
- 4:29Speaker 1: really really dangerous, it's dishonest, and it's wrong. Well, the
- 4:33Speaker 1: half the country part, I think is the important one,
- 4:35Speaker 1: because the statement is simply incoherent. If you say that
- 4:40Speaker 1: half the country is a threat to government of the people,
- 4:44Speaker 1: by the people and for the people, that the only
- 4:46Speaker 1: way that we can have government of the people, by
- 4:48Speaker 1: the people and for the people is by getting rid
- 4:50Speaker 1: of half the people. That, of course said doesn't make
- 4:53Speaker 1: a whole lot of sense. Do you think that the
- 4:55Speaker 1: White House will pay for this comment in the way
- 4:58Speaker 1: that Hillary Clinton did, because it seems like it's even
- 5:00Speaker 1: much further than Hillary went to call someone deplorable. That's
- 5:04Speaker 1: one thing. To say, hey, you're basically a black shirt
- 5:07Speaker 1: or a Nazi, That's that's quite another thing. I mean,
- 5:10Speaker 1: that's that's much more intense even than what Hillary Clinton did.
- 5:13Speaker 1: Will it matter in November? Well, look, I think for
- 5:17Speaker 1: the people speeling this, they're speeling it from ignorance. Um,
- 5:21Speaker 1: they don't actually know what fascists are. Um. But but
- 5:24Speaker 1: for them, you know, it's ironic that that she says
- 5:27Speaker 1: the very definition of fascists. What she means by fascist
- 5:30Speaker 1: is something I don't like, you bad person that fascist. Mm.
- 5:35Speaker 1: But like she has no sense of it whatsoever. And
- 5:39Speaker 1: and it is deeply disturbing to see the White House
- 5:43Speaker 1: used as a vehicle for active disinformation. Um. You know,
- 5:49Speaker 1: we also saw in the past week her stand up
- 5:52Speaker 1: and answer a question about immigration and people walking across
- 5:57Speaker 1: the border, and she says, well, that's not what's happening.
- 5:59Speaker 1: That's just what's happening, and holy crap, like there are lies.
- 6:04Speaker 1: And I actually wonder if the reporters in the briefing
- 6:07Speaker 1: room move back a few feet afraid lightning was going
- 6:10Speaker 1: to strike her at the podium. There are two and
- 6:13Speaker 1: only two possibilities, Michael, either that she is deliberately ignorant,
- 6:17Speaker 1: she has no idea what's happening at the border, or
- 6:20Speaker 1: she's deliberately lying. There's not a third possibility. It is
- 6:23Speaker 1: one or the other. So I'm going to make an
- 6:26Speaker 1: invitation right now to Karine John Pierre. If you believe
- 6:30Speaker 1: it's not happening that people are walking across the border, Kareean,
- 6:34Speaker 1: I invite you come to Texas, come to the Rio
- 6:37Speaker 1: Grand Valley, spend one hour on the border, and I
- 6:41Speaker 1: promise you you and I will see dozens, if not
- 6:45Speaker 1: hundreds of people walking across the border. You know what,
- 6:49Speaker 1: you can pick any damn hour the day you want.
- 6:51Speaker 1: You can come at two in the morning, you can
- 6:53Speaker 1: come at noon. You will see them coming, because they
- 6:56Speaker 1: are coming every single hour. And then let me say
- 6:59Speaker 1: also to the corrupt corporate media, every single person that
- 7:05Speaker 1: holds themselves out as a fact checker, PolitiFact, the Washington Post,
- 7:10Speaker 1: all of these bogused yellow journalists, if all of them
- 7:14Speaker 1: have not immediately called this an eleven alarm pants on fire,
- 7:19Speaker 1: then they are every bit as complicit in the mendacity,
- 7:22Speaker 1: as is the White House that pays her to misinform
- 7:25Speaker 1: the American people. This, I suppose, was what was most shocking. Yes,
- 7:30Speaker 1: when the White House attacks Donald Trump, Okay, you expect that.
- 7:34Speaker 1: When the White House attacks Republican voters, that's you don't
- 7:38Speaker 1: necessarily expect that. But okay, this is politics. It's within
- 7:42Speaker 1: the realm of plausibility. But then when Karne Jampierre comes
- 7:45Speaker 1: out and says, no, people aren't crossing the border, when
- 7:48Speaker 1: we're looking at two million or really more than two
- 7:51Speaker 1: million illegal border crossings to happen this year, that's so strange.
- 7:55Speaker 1: When Karree Jean Pierre apparently doesn't know what the administration,
- 8:00Speaker 1: her own administration has done about Title forty two and
- 8:03Speaker 1: as that pertains to illegal border crossings, that to me,
- 8:07Speaker 1: I just don't understand it. And if it were willful ignorance,
- 8:12Speaker 1: I don't understand why this woman would want to hang
- 8:15Speaker 1: herself out to dry like this and make her look
- 8:17Speaker 1: so extremely uninformed, if not unintelligent when talking to reporters, well,
- 8:22Speaker 1: the corporate media is in part to blame because she
- 8:25Speaker 1: recognizes she's not going to be held to account she
- 8:28Speaker 1: knows the Washington Post will happily carry her water. She
- 8:31Speaker 1: knows PolitiFact won't check it. She knows everyone will ignore it.
- 8:35Speaker 1: It's the reason why, you know that we've had lots
- 8:37Speaker 1: of discussion about why does Joe Biden not go down
- 8:39Speaker 1: to the border. It's not that he doesn't want to
- 8:41Speaker 1: see it. It's that if he comes, the cameras will follow,
- 8:46Speaker 1: and their only strategy is ignore the chaos. You know,
- 8:50Speaker 1: the last time I took seven senators down to the
- 8:53Speaker 1: border a couple of months ago, we went out on
- 8:55Speaker 1: midnight patrol, and within minutes we encountered the first group
- 8:59Speaker 1: that had just crossed the order. A few minutes later
- 9:01Speaker 1: we encountered the second group. But it was one after
- 9:03Speaker 1: the other after the other. You don't have to hunt
- 9:05Speaker 1: for them. You don't have to look for them. It
- 9:07Speaker 1: is a constant stream of humanity. And I got to say,
- 9:11Speaker 1: by the way, kudos to the Texas governor Greg Abbott,
- 9:14Speaker 1: my friend. He's added now he was sending illegal immigrants
- 9:17Speaker 1: to Washington, DC. In New York, those hypocritical Democratic mayors
- 9:21Speaker 1: are throwing hissy fits, and he just announced guess what
- 9:25Speaker 1: Chicago is next. I think that is fabulous. Laurie Lightfoot
- 9:29Speaker 1: said we would love lots of illegal immigrants in Chicago.
- 9:32Speaker 1: Literally she did. She said we would welcome them. I'm
- 9:35Speaker 1: very curious. In start the stopwatch, I'm predicting six days,
- 9:40Speaker 1: thirteen hours, and twelve minutes before she freaks out and
- 9:44Speaker 1: calls Greg Abbott Saar on the embodiment of evil destroying
- 9:49Speaker 1: humanity because she gets, you know, four or five thousand
- 9:52Speaker 1: illegal immigrants. Texas has had three and a half million,
- 9:56Speaker 1: right so far, It's been a lot of nimbiism, you know,
- 9:59Speaker 1: not an my backyard from the Blue state Democrats and
- 10:03Speaker 1: the Blue City Democrats. Though, I have to wonder when
- 10:06Speaker 1: we're talking about sending these people to Chicago. A lot
- 10:09Speaker 1: of people leave their Latin American countries because the conditions
- 10:14Speaker 1: are not great. There aren't there's not a lot of
- 10:15Speaker 1: economic prosperity, and it's actually just downright dangerous there. If
- 10:19Speaker 1: you're going to Chicago, Frankly, I suspect it's going to
- 10:22Speaker 1: be more dangerous there than it is in a lot
- 10:24Speaker 1: of the places that these people are fleeing from. And
- 10:27Speaker 1: Senator I've got to bring this up because, as usual,
- 10:31Speaker 1: the last week's episode of Verdict drops, and then I
- 10:34Speaker 1: just wait. I wait to see what the left wing
- 10:38Speaker 1: media are going to attack us for. This time, they
- 10:40Speaker 1: did not disappoint. They're very upset with you because you
- 10:44Speaker 1: pointed out that some people who take out a ton
- 10:47Speaker 1: of student loans, who study useless things like gender studies
- 10:51Speaker 1: or some other kind of nonsense, then end up working
- 10:54Speaker 1: all sorts of jobs they don't want to be working,
- 10:56Speaker 1: including as barista's senator. You ended up in a Bernie
- 11:01Speaker 1: Sanders campaign video. Yeah, it really was quite amazing. Bernie
- 11:06Speaker 1: put out an official video responding to Verdict. I love
- 11:09Speaker 1: when when this podcast drives the political news. Um. I
- 11:14Speaker 1: will say also that that that, and and all of
- 11:17Speaker 1: the Bernie brows, their heads exploded. I gotta say, by
- 11:19Speaker 1: the way, you knew that was going to happen, because
- 11:21Speaker 1: when we were doing the last episode and I talked
- 11:24Speaker 1: about the slackers who had wasted six years with getting
- 11:28Speaker 1: a useless degree working as baristas might come out and
- 11:31Speaker 1: vote if they can get off their bong long enough
- 11:33Speaker 1: to do so. I saw in the register your eyes
- 11:37Speaker 1: grow wide as you're like, oh crap. But I also
- 11:39Speaker 1: all right, I want to I want to tap into
- 11:41Speaker 1: your Yale education, because there is a logical fallacy that
- 11:45Speaker 1: these lefties are engaged in. When I said that some
- 11:49Speaker 1: slackers are baristas, they translated that into all baristas are slackers,
- 11:58Speaker 1: which is just now, you know, maybe you could help
- 12:03Speaker 1: me out with with deductive logic, but I'm pretty sure
- 12:07Speaker 1: that second statement doesn't flow from the first. Are there
- 12:10Speaker 1: people who wasted years studying utterly useless things who couldn't
- 12:16Speaker 1: get a job afterwards and who are now working as
- 12:19Speaker 1: a barista and are slackers? Yes, that those people do exist.
- 12:23Speaker 1: Is every barista slacker of course. Stuff. They're wonderful, great
- 12:25Speaker 1: people who are barestas who by the way, many of
- 12:28Speaker 1: whom don't have student loans that are getting screwed by
- 12:31Speaker 1: the Democrats because they're saying the guy that's studied queer
- 12:36Speaker 1: pet literature and has one hundred thousand dollars in debt
- 12:41Speaker 1: because oddly enough, you know, to reference another podcast, you know,
- 12:45Speaker 1: Mickey and Pluto going at it. Other than getting a
- 12:48Speaker 1: job at Disney, there's not a lot of job market
- 12:50Speaker 1: for queer pet literature. Yeah, it did occur to me.
- 12:56Speaker 1: It did occur to me that being a barista that's
- 13:00Speaker 1: an honest job. Yeah, there's no you wouldn't attack you
- 13:03Speaker 1: wouldn't attack a beristappers. I love my Bearista, right, but
- 13:06Speaker 1: there are plenty of very very useless jobs and useless
- 13:11Speaker 1: workers in America. And then what a coincidence on this story.
- 13:15Speaker 1: One of the most absolutely useless, counterproductive people in the
- 13:20Speaker 1: United States would be Randy Weingarten, the head of the
- 13:23Speaker 1: Teacher Union. And Randy Weingarten also jumped on the campaign
- 13:27Speaker 1: after Bernie dings you for it, and Randy Weingarten led
- 13:31Speaker 1: a sort of Barista themed video to attack you as
- 13:36Speaker 1: being you know, I don't know, anti worker or something
- 13:39Speaker 1: like that. Yeah, so two points on this one. There's
- 13:44Speaker 1: a reason why the lefty Twitter mafia left on this
- 13:48Speaker 1: so aggressively, which is today's Democratic Party hate working class people.
- 13:54Speaker 1: They're hammering working class to keep people they work for
- 13:58Speaker 1: the billionaires on the coast. They do things that are
- 14:00Speaker 1: massive wealth transfers from working class people to privileged elites.
- 14:05Speaker 1: This student loan forgiveness is an example of that. But
- 14:08Speaker 1: their policies killing American energy, driving inflation, I mean, everything
- 14:12Speaker 1: they're doing right now is responding to California environmentalist billionaires
- 14:17Speaker 1: rather than blue collar steel workers. So they leapt on
- 14:21Speaker 1: the barista comment dishonestly because they wanted to claim to
- 14:26Speaker 1: be a champion of the working man. But it is
- 14:28Speaker 1: it only works if they're doing what Karine John Pierre did,
- 14:32Speaker 1: which is being deliberately dishonest. Because you know, my dad
- 14:37Speaker 1: wash dishes the baristas who are full of ambition and
- 14:42Speaker 1: want to work hard and climb the ladder to the
- 14:45Speaker 1: American dream. That's a fantastic thing. But under Joe Biden
- 14:49Speaker 1: the Democrats, it's harder and harder for them to do that.
- 14:53Speaker 1: And you know, you talk about Randy Weingarten, I guess
- 14:58Speaker 1: it is difficult to think of a per in the
- 15:00Speaker 1: last three years who has done more damage to the
- 15:04Speaker 1: United States of America than Randy Weingarten. She has that
- 15:08Speaker 1: there's no person more responsible for the school lockdowns. We
- 15:12Speaker 1: had schools all across America shut down in many Blue states,
- 15:16Speaker 1: shut down for weeks and then months and then over
- 15:19Speaker 1: a year. And you know, just this week the test
- 15:23Speaker 1: story scores came out, and I want to read what
- 15:27Speaker 1: they were because it really is stunning. So the average
- 15:30Speaker 1: scores for nine year old students in twenty twenty two
- 15:34Speaker 1: declined five points in reading and seven points in mathematics
- 15:40Speaker 1: compared to twenty twenty five points and seven points. And
- 15:44Speaker 1: then it's even worse. The learning loss was experienced by
- 15:48Speaker 1: kids across race and income levels, but it was particularly
- 15:53Speaker 1: severe among low performing and minority students. Black students lost
- 15:59Speaker 1: thirteen points in math, and the white black score gap
- 16:04Speaker 1: went from twenty five points in twenty twenty all the
- 16:08Speaker 1: way up to thirty three points in twenty twenty two. So,
- 16:11Speaker 1: congratulations Democrats, Congratulations Randy wide Garten. You screwed millions of
- 16:17Speaker 1: kids in America. They're doing worse in reading, they're doing
- 16:20Speaker 1: worse in math. That will stay with them in all
- 16:23Speaker 1: likelihood the rest of their lives. And in particular, you
- 16:27Speaker 1: screwed African American and Hispanic kids. And the gap is
- 16:32Speaker 1: wider than it's been in a long long time because
- 16:35Speaker 1: of Randy Wiedearten and Joe Biden and every Senate Democrat
- 16:39Speaker 1: who happily voted along with them in favor of the
- 16:42Speaker 1: school lockdowns. Yeah, a truly a more odious figure in
- 16:46Speaker 1: American public life than randywine Garten and the public school unions.
- 16:53Speaker 1: It would be hard to point to. I mean, the
- 16:55Speaker 1: effects of that are just so awful, as you say,
- 16:58Speaker 1: it's not as though you can just that overnight wave
- 17:00Speaker 1: a magic wand and okay, the scores are better. Now,
- 17:03Speaker 1: this is going to track a very long time. And
- 17:05Speaker 1: so it's really really rich to hear lectures on labor
- 17:08Speaker 1: from from that woman speaking of being really tough on
- 17:12Speaker 1: the kids and putting kids in horrible situations. There is
- 17:15Speaker 1: a story that well one cries out to God for vengeance,
- 17:21Speaker 1: but also cries out to Washington, DC and state legislatures
- 17:25Speaker 1: for justice, which is that in California now there is
- 17:29Speaker 1: a doctor who is just caught on video admitting that
- 17:32Speaker 1: he performs transgender surgeries on miners, and not just miners,
- 17:39Speaker 1: on thirteen year old girls, and not just on thirteen
- 17:42Speaker 1: year old girls. He says, I would perform it on
- 17:44Speaker 1: twelve year olds. They just haven't approached me yet. He says,
- 17:47Speaker 1: there is no lower limit to the age of children
- 17:51Speaker 1: on whom I would perform these surgeries. It's obviously ghastly
- 17:56Speaker 1: the idea of a hysterecto me in a twelve or
- 17:58Speaker 1: thirteen year old. Question is, what can we do about
- 18:03Speaker 1: this heinous child abuse. Look, it's it's not just the
- 18:08Speaker 1: doctor that's carrying out these these horrific acts of child abuse.
- 18:12Speaker 1: It's the entire dishonest political system and media system. It
- 18:17Speaker 1: is our democratic politicians who refuse to acknowledge this is happening.
- 18:22Speaker 1: It is the corrupt corporate media who refuses to acknowledge
- 18:25Speaker 1: that it's happening. It's big Tech that silence anyone who
- 18:28Speaker 1: points out it's happening. Because we sit here today, Libs
- 18:31Speaker 1: of TikTok, a fabulous account run by an orthodox Jewish woman,
- 18:36Speaker 1: is still banned from TikTok why for reporting the truth,
- 18:40Speaker 1: which is the Children's hospital in Boston, Massachusetts, was performing mutilations,
- 18:49Speaker 1: life altering surgeries on miners, and and and actually, Libs
- 18:54Speaker 1: of TikTok, a sometimes humorous but incredibly valuable Twitter account,
- 18:59Speaker 1: not just documented it on the website of the hospital,
- 19:03Speaker 1: which advertised that they did it for miners, but she
- 19:06Speaker 1: recorded two different employees at the hospital on tape saying, oh, yes,
- 19:11Speaker 1: sixteen year old, no problem, we can do that. And
- 19:14Speaker 1: I gotta say not the corporate media, so big Tech
- 19:18Speaker 1: bander because she dared speak the truth. And then the
- 19:21Speaker 1: corporate media, the Washington Post wrote this absurd story where
- 19:24Speaker 1: they said, well, yes, It's true the website said they
- 19:27Speaker 1: were performing these surgeries on miners, and it's true that
- 19:30Speaker 1: two different employees that the hospital said on tape they
- 19:34Speaker 1: were performing these surgeries on miners. But it is nonetheless false.
- 19:39Speaker 1: We assert with no evidence whatsoever, because these aren't the
- 19:43Speaker 1: droid you're looking for. You're not allowed to be aware
- 19:45Speaker 1: of this. It is this is insane. And look, number one,
- 19:53Speaker 1: these surgeries. If you're a guy chopping it off and
- 19:58Speaker 1: then trying to build email genital you know, or if
- 20:01Speaker 1: you're a girl ripping chunks of flesh off the arm
- 20:06Speaker 1: and leg and trying to construct something that they think
- 20:09Speaker 1: resembles male genitalia, good god. Number one, I mean, this
- 20:14Speaker 1: is this is stuff out of a house of horrors.
- 20:18Speaker 1: But number two, if you read the medical studies of
- 20:23Speaker 1: the consequences of those surgeries, an enormous percentage of those
- 20:29Speaker 1: surgeries require a second or third, fourth, fifth surgery to
- 20:33Speaker 1: correct it because you have all sorts of complications, you
- 20:36Speaker 1: have infections, you have perforations. Look, it's it's it's hard
- 20:41Speaker 1: to discuss without getting really graphic, but but you read
- 20:44Speaker 1: stories of people who have this surgery have to use
- 20:48Speaker 1: a Kolomosky bag and crap in a bag for the
- 20:53Speaker 1: rest of their lives. For any person to have this surgery,
- 21:00Speaker 1: I think there are a great many of them who
- 21:02Speaker 1: regret it almost instantly because it is the rest of
- 21:07Speaker 1: their lives are devastated. And then to amplify it, and
- 21:12Speaker 1: to say a child, a child who is not yet mature,
- 21:15Speaker 1: not yet able to rationally reason through the consequences that
- 21:20Speaker 1: if a twelve year old believes at that moment that
- 21:23Speaker 1: he or she is not a hear or she, that
- 21:25Speaker 1: you should permanently chop it off or permanently sterilize and
- 21:32Speaker 1: remove the uterus of that that young child. That's utterly indefensible.
- 21:40Speaker 1: It's one thing if an adult wants to make that decision,
- 21:43Speaker 1: you've got a right to do that if you're an adult.
- 21:45Speaker 1: But the idea that twelve and thirteen year old should
- 21:48Speaker 1: be doing it, or minors at all, I think is
- 21:52Speaker 1: completely indefensible. We have age of consent laws which state
- 21:57Speaker 1: that a sixteen or a seven teen year old can't
- 22:01Speaker 1: have a one night stand with I don't know, a
- 22:03Speaker 1: nineteen or a twenty or twenty one year old because
- 22:06Speaker 1: their brains have just not formed enough they're not in
- 22:09Speaker 1: control of their rational faculties yet, and so they can't
- 22:12Speaker 1: consent to make those decisions. So on the one hand,
- 22:15Speaker 1: you have that enshrined in law. On the other hand,
- 22:18Speaker 1: forget a sixteen year old. A six year old can
- 22:21Speaker 1: consent not to a one time kind of sexual escapade,
- 22:26Speaker 1: but a life long sexual decision that will have that
- 22:30Speaker 1: will have consequences even well beyond even the question of
- 22:34Speaker 1: sex and gender. But could can give you osteoporosis, can
- 22:39Speaker 1: give you bone damage, can give you infections, can put
- 22:42Speaker 1: you on a lifelong regiment of expensive, very powerful drugs.
- 22:46Speaker 1: I just to me, this is so absurd. I don't
- 22:50Speaker 1: see why why lawmakers can't just ban this sort of
- 22:54Speaker 1: thing outright. And since you're a lawmaker, can at least
- 22:58Speaker 1: at the state level. Can can we get rid of this?
- 23:01Speaker 1: Can we ban this? We look Tech Texas is moved
- 23:03Speaker 1: to do that, but in places like California they want
- 23:06Speaker 1: to celebrate it, and it is and the media won't
- 23:11Speaker 1: report on on the downsides of this that they want
- 23:19Speaker 1: to silence it. And by the way, Big Tech is
- 23:21Speaker 1: happy to silence it. Um Libs of TikTok was banned
- 23:27Speaker 1: for telling the truth because truth. Let's go back to
- 23:32Speaker 1: Kareine Jumpierre. Look, fascists silence their critics. That's what this
- 23:39Speaker 1: White House does. And by the way, we we have
- 23:43Speaker 1: Mark Zuckerberger told Joe Rogan. Yeah, the FBI called and
- 23:47Speaker 1: and asked us not to not to allow people to
- 23:50Speaker 1: talk about Hunter Biden's laptop. I mean, you literally have
- 23:54Speaker 1: the government engaging in silencing discussion that is contrary to
- 23:59Speaker 1: their political narrative and their political partisan interests. Speaking of
- 24:04Speaker 1: the wokeness in our various branches of government, I simply
- 24:10Speaker 1: could not believe this story that I just read, which
- 24:14Speaker 1: is that a division of the US Specific Air Forces,
- 24:18Speaker 1: which is the branch tasked with confronting China, has ordered
- 24:21Speaker 1: its senior leaders, as according to Washington Free Beacon and commanders,
- 24:26Speaker 1: to stop using gender pronouns in written formats, saying the
- 24:29Speaker 1: shift to more neutral language will help improve the fighting
- 24:33Speaker 1: forces lethality. They say, in accordance with the diverse PACAF priority,
- 24:39Speaker 1: we must embrace promote an unleash the unleash the potential
- 24:43Speaker 1: of diversity and inclusion. So you've you've got to stop
- 24:48Speaker 1: using the correct pronouns and call people z and zim
- 24:52Speaker 1: and zur and there, and that's going to make our
- 24:54Speaker 1: fighting forces more lethal? Am I reading the Babylon b Senator?
- 24:58Speaker 1: Is this our United States military? Look, Joe Biden and
- 25:01Speaker 1: the Democrats are doing everything they can to damage and
- 25:04Speaker 1: destroy the military. They've done it through things like vaccine mandates,
- 25:08Speaker 1: trying to chase out and then they fired vast numbers
- 25:10Speaker 1: of soldiers and sailors and airmen and marines. And this
- 25:14Speaker 1: is truly nutty when it comes to lethality. This is
- 25:18Speaker 1: lethality right here. This is killing our military. And listen,
- 25:22Speaker 1: the Chinese are training to defeat us and these weak,
- 25:28Speaker 1: appeasing numbskulls are trying to demonstrate how woke they are.
- 25:33Speaker 1: And by the way, the definition awokeness keeps changing. So
- 25:37Speaker 1: last I checked, like twelve minutes ago, the most woke
- 25:41Speaker 1: people had their genders in their Twitter profile. I'm he, him, she, her,
- 25:46Speaker 1: zzz or whatever. Now then even more woke is no, no,
- 25:50Speaker 1: no, no no, no, don't have pronouns. Even if you say
- 25:54Speaker 1: you're he him, we will not say it. We will
- 25:57Speaker 1: just refer to you as podcaster. That is all you are.
- 26:02Speaker 1: You may not be he podcaster or she podcaster like
- 26:07Speaker 1: it is You're right, it could be Babylon be I
- 26:11Speaker 1: don't even know how you sat saturdayize this crap anymore
- 26:14Speaker 1: because it is so ridiculous. And I got to tell you,
- 26:18Speaker 1: I hear from active duty military all the time who
- 26:22Speaker 1: are beyond frustrated by this garbage. And the problem is
- 26:26Speaker 1: it now extends up the chain of command because the
- 26:28Speaker 1: way you get promoted in Joe Biden's Department of Defense
- 26:32Speaker 1: is you embrace this idiocy and apparently no longer, even
- 26:39Speaker 1: though what a pronoun is so is the only way
- 26:42Speaker 1: that we solve this just winning In twenty twenty four,
- 26:44Speaker 1: I remember when I saw that woke Army ad whenever.
- 26:47Speaker 1: It was about a year ago where it was an
- 26:49Speaker 1: army recruitment ad and the ad it looked like it
- 26:51Speaker 1: could have been I don't know, a Procter and Gamble
- 26:54Speaker 1: commercial from Pride month. It was a cartoon about this
- 26:57Speaker 1: girl and how her lesbian mother is at Pride raids
- 27:00Speaker 1: really taught her how to fight America's enemies or something
- 27:03Speaker 1: like that. I mean, again, sort of beyond satire. And
- 27:07Speaker 1: I thought, by golly, it's the this is the army,
- 27:10Speaker 1: and you know, this was one of the few institutions
- 27:12Speaker 1: that conservative people hadn't totally lost to the left. So okay,
- 27:16Speaker 1: it's lost right now. The only way to fix it
- 27:18Speaker 1: is just we've got to get a Republican president in
- 27:21Speaker 1: there to fire the top brass and bring some normal
- 27:23Speaker 1: people back into military leadership. Yes. Look, the left has
- 27:28Speaker 1: always hated the military, people like Bernie Sanders who always
- 27:31Speaker 1: want to slash the budget for the military and render
- 27:33Speaker 1: us vulnerable. You have the Biden White House that believes
- 27:37Speaker 1: every enemy on Earth the way to deal with them
- 27:40Speaker 1: is surrendered to them, show weakness, show appeasement. You know,
- 27:43Speaker 1: Biden is right in the middle of trying to sign
- 27:45Speaker 1: a ridiculous deal with a rand to give them billions
- 27:47Speaker 1: of dollars that they will use to kill Americans and
- 27:49Speaker 1: to develop nuclear weapons which it could be used to
- 27:52Speaker 1: kill millions of Americans. One of the ways they express
- 27:56Speaker 1: their hatred for the military is by undermining it from within,
- 28:00Speaker 1: by making it a political entity, and that is profoundly
- 28:06Speaker 1: harmful to the military. Listen, I don't want the military
- 28:09Speaker 1: to be a Republican entity. I want the job of
- 28:11Speaker 1: the military to defend this nation and be prepared to
- 28:16Speaker 1: kill the enemy. That's their job. It's not to be
- 28:19Speaker 1: on the vanguard of some political agenda on either side.
- 28:23Speaker 1: Before we go, we do have to get to some
- 28:25Speaker 1: mail bag because of our wonderful Verdict plus subscribers. Here's
- 28:30Speaker 1: a question. It pertains to November, and it's a little
- 28:33Speaker 1: nitty gritty on the politics. Baltimore Bill Rights. The National
- 28:38Speaker 1: Republican Senatorial Committee n RSC canceled millions worth of ads
- 28:43Speaker 1: across numerous battleground states Pennsylvania, Arizona, Wisconsin, and Nevada. There
- 28:48Speaker 1: are winnable races here which would tilt the balance of
- 28:51Speaker 1: power back to the Republicans. Would Mitch McConnell really prefer
- 28:55Speaker 1: Fetterman and Kelly the Democrats in the Senate? So I
- 29:01Speaker 1: certainly hope not. I think we have an excellent chance
- 29:05Speaker 1: to take the House, and I still think we have
- 29:07Speaker 1: a very good chance to take the Senate. I put
- 29:09Speaker 1: it at sixty percent or better to take the Senate.
- 29:13Speaker 1: In terms of where we are, I do think the
- 29:16Speaker 1: political environment is a little bit worse today than it
- 29:19Speaker 1: was six weeks ago. Now the narrative everywhere in the
- 29:23Speaker 1: media is, oh, the tides have turned, and now the
- 29:25Speaker 1: Democrats are not going to get obliterated, and the corporate
- 29:29Speaker 1: media is desperately trying to push that narrative. I think
- 29:32Speaker 1: that is vastly overstated. I think we're headed to a
- 29:35Speaker 1: very good election still, and I think we will see
- 29:39Speaker 1: going into September and October additional momentum Between now an
- 29:44Speaker 1: election day. I am going to be on the road
- 29:47Speaker 1: NonStop campaigning for Senate candidates across the country and for
- 29:53Speaker 1: House candidates across the country, because I think it's going
- 29:55Speaker 1: to be a big victory in November. I certainly hope
- 29:57Speaker 1: it is. It's also worth pointing out as we're being
- 30:00Speaker 1: told that the you know, the tides are turning and
- 30:03Speaker 1: the Democrats are going to do just fine. Yes, the
- 30:06Speaker 1: Republicans had at what a ten point lead on the
- 30:08Speaker 1: generic ballot in July that narrowed to a five point lead.
- 30:11Speaker 1: We're still pretty much exactly where the Democrats were in
- 30:14Speaker 1: twenty eighteen, and it narrowed for the Democrats between August
- 30:18Speaker 1: and November of twenty eighteen, and they still did great
- 30:21Speaker 1: in those elections, in those midterm elections. So I just listen,
- 30:25Speaker 1: you know it on the ground a lot, a lot
- 30:27Speaker 1: better than I did. But I read the reports in
- 30:29Speaker 1: the media, and then I look at the actual numbers
- 30:31Speaker 1: and I think these things don't match up. Yeah, well,
- 30:34Speaker 1: the media wants Republicans, Conservatives, people who are not insane,
- 30:39Speaker 1: because in many ways this is not even a left
- 30:41Speaker 1: right battle. This is asane insane battle. They want those
- 30:47Speaker 1: who believe in common sense and reason and individual liberty
- 30:51Speaker 1: to be demoralized, to say we can't win, to stay home.
- 30:54Speaker 1: That's how the Marxists prevail is they discourage ridge people
- 31:01Speaker 1: of good sense. From that, they engage in voter suppression.
- 31:05Speaker 1: And every story you read about how the Democrats are
- 31:08Speaker 1: doing well is a deliberate, calculated effort at voter suppression
- 31:13Speaker 1: from the corporate media. Yeah. One last question before we
- 31:16Speaker 1: get out of here, and that's not true. Two last questions,
- 31:19Speaker 1: but they're both from the same guy. So it's a
- 31:20Speaker 1: two parter. One what does America First mean to you?
- 31:26Speaker 1: And two hard to choose, but what is the number
- 31:29Speaker 1: one issue Ted Cruz is focusing on leading up to November.
- 31:33Speaker 1: Both questions from Verdict plus subscriber Steel Dino. So those
- 31:38Speaker 1: are great questions. America First means a lot of things,
- 31:41Speaker 1: but I think it means standing with the working men
- 31:44Speaker 1: and women, and defending the interest of the United States,
- 31:48Speaker 1: protecting America, and foreign policy. I gave a long speech
- 31:52Speaker 1: it's about forty five minutes long at the America First
- 31:55Speaker 1: Policy Institute, entirely devoted to what does America First mean?
- 32:00Speaker 1: And foreign policy? I don't think it means what some
- 32:04Speaker 1: people are trying to claim that it means, which is
- 32:07Speaker 1: isolationism and withdrawing from the world. I think that is
- 32:10Speaker 1: twisting what America First is about. It's certainly not what
- 32:13Speaker 1: we did when Donald Trump was president. I think it means,
- 32:17Speaker 1: in the foreign policy context, putting the national security interests
- 32:21Speaker 1: to the United States first and foremost, being willing to
- 32:25Speaker 1: defeat our enemies, but not sending our sons and daughters
- 32:28Speaker 1: into harm's way for amorphous global norms or to protect
- 32:33Speaker 1: democracy or such other gobbledegook. But the job of the
- 32:37Speaker 1: military is to protect Americans and keep us safe. On
- 32:44Speaker 1: economic and domestic policy, I think it means standing with
- 32:47Speaker 1: blue collar workers, standing with working men and women. That
- 32:50Speaker 1: means things like securing the border and stopping unlimited illegal immigration.
- 32:55Speaker 1: That means defending small businesses so there are lots of
- 32:59Speaker 1: jobs that are plentiful. That to me is America first
- 33:02Speaker 1: as well, which is which is the steel workers and
- 33:05Speaker 1: truck drivers and cops and firefighters and waiters and waitresses
- 33:09Speaker 1: and baristas who we stand for and the Democrats crap
- 33:14Speaker 1: in the coffee cup of baristas. That is America first
- 33:19Speaker 1: to me on that vivid note. So there was a
- 33:24Speaker 1: second question, Oh, thank thank goodness, because I don't really
- 33:29Speaker 1: want to end on that image that, albeit accurate, is
- 33:32Speaker 1: quite is quite disgusting. What do you think the top
- 33:37Speaker 1: issue has to be the Republicans focus on going into
- 33:40Speaker 1: the midterms, so unpolling, the top three issues in the
- 33:44Speaker 1: country are inflation, with gas prices being the most most
- 33:47Speaker 1: salient piece of that. Then crime and then the chaos
- 33:53Speaker 1: on our southern border. Those are consistently the top three issues.
- 33:56Speaker 1: I think we should focus on them front and center.
- 34:01Speaker 1: In terms of my passions, I would say two things.
- 34:04Speaker 1: Number one, sanity versus insanity, like the Marxist left is
- 34:10Speaker 1: destroying America, destroying our values, tearing down our founders, tearing
- 34:15Speaker 1: down our constitution, tearing down our Bill of Rights, and
- 34:18Speaker 1: so defending who we are as America I think is foundational.
- 34:23Speaker 1: And in terms of a policy issue, I think there's
- 34:27Speaker 1: no domestic policy issue that matters more than school choice,
- 34:30Speaker 1: and so I am deeply engaged in campaigning for candidates
- 34:34Speaker 1: who supports school choice, raising money for candidates who supports
- 34:38Speaker 1: school choice, campaigning to defeat candidates who oppose school choice,
- 34:43Speaker 1: doing everything we can to stop the Randy Weingartens of
- 34:46Speaker 1: the world who are responsible for inflicting enormous harm on children.
- 34:52Speaker 1: And she cackles away with Joe Biden and the Democrats
- 34:55Speaker 1: at the White House while the kids get left behind.
- 34:58Speaker 1: Sounds just like a fashion. Given people more choices over
- 35:02Speaker 1: their future and the future of their family's. We got
- 35:05Speaker 1: a regular Mussolini over here, at least as it goes
- 35:09Speaker 1: into Joe Biden's sort of warped brain. There's obviously much
- 35:15Speaker 1: more to talk about. You will be talking about much
- 35:18Speaker 1: more on the Cloakroom with our friend Liz Wheeler. Liz,
- 35:21Speaker 1: what will you be talking about? Hi, Michael, Yes, and
- 35:24Speaker 1: Senator great answer and verdict, plus thank you for your
- 35:27Speaker 1: great questions. I don't know if you guys realize, but
- 35:29Speaker 1: I'm sitting here thinking, how on earth do I segue
- 35:32Speaker 1: from poo poo in a cup into what we're talking
- 35:34Speaker 1: about on Cloak Room. This is what you give me
- 35:36Speaker 1: every week, except for Verdict Plus fans who give questions
- 35:40Speaker 1: that give me a little easier time. So this is
- 35:42Speaker 1: what's called a hard segue. Over on the cloak Room today,
- 35:45Speaker 1: we're going to talk about what happened in Alaska. Republicans
- 35:48Speaker 1: lost a seat in the House of Representatives because of
- 35:51Speaker 1: ranked choice voting in the Alaska's special election, which means
- 35:55Speaker 1: the Democrat actually only won forty percent of the vote.
- 35:58Speaker 1: The Republicans won six percent of the vote, yet somehow
- 36:01Speaker 1: the Democrat is the one that's going to Washington, DC
- 36:03Speaker 1: to represent the people of Alaska. We're going to talk
- 36:06Speaker 1: about how that happened and just the structure of the
- 36:08Speaker 1: whole ranked choice voting and why it's a bad thing.
- 36:11Speaker 1: You can join us on the Cloakroom. It's Verdict with
- 36:13Speaker 1: Ted Cruise dot Com slash Plus. Verdict with Ted Cruise
- 36:17Speaker 1: dot Com slash Plus. If you use my promo code Cloakroom,
- 36:21Speaker 1: then you can watch for free for the first month
- 36:23Speaker 1: of your annual subscription. That's Verdict with Ted Cruz dot
- 36:26Speaker 1: Com slash Plus. I really really want to listen to
- 36:30Speaker 1: that discussion because the idea that a Democrat is going
- 36:33Speaker 1: to go represent Alaska is really upsetting. Usually when Alaska
- 36:36Speaker 1: sends Democrats to Congress, they at least pretend to be Republicans.
- 36:42Speaker 1: So that'll be a great discussion. If you want to
- 36:44Speaker 1: hear some of these discussions not just through your phone
- 36:49Speaker 1: or your computer, if you want to hear them live, well,
- 36:51Speaker 1: you got to go check out Verdict Live. We are
- 36:54Speaker 1: beginning another campus tour. We could be coming to a
- 36:58Speaker 1: campus near you. How do you make that happen? Well,
- 37:01Speaker 1: you submit your school for consideration at yaf dot org

- 37:15Speaker 1: forward to coming to a school near use. Make sure
- 37:18Speaker 1: you submit your campus asap. Time is running out yaf

- 37:46Speaker 1: conservative causes, organizations, and candidates across the country. In twenty
- 37:50Speaker 1: twenty two, Jobs Freedom and Security Pack plans to donate
- 37:54Speaker 1: to conservative candidates running for Congress and help the Republican
- 37:57Speaker 1: Party across the nation.
