- 0:19Speaker 1: me through good Steve har Stey, don't join Jo. You
- 0:59Speaker 1: gotta use that turn. You gotta turn to turn them out. Love,
- 1:43Speaker 1: got to turn out to turn turn the water the water.

- 2:03Speaker 1: good morning everybody. You are listening to the voice, come
- 2:06Speaker 1: on dig me now, one and only Steve Harvey got
- 2:09Speaker 1: a radio show. Man, Oh man, almost forgot I had
- 2:13Speaker 1: one this morning. But I'm okay. I'll tell you who
- 2:17Speaker 1: I am in a little bit. You know, I get around. Man,
- 2:19Speaker 1: it's so much. But man, good morning everybody. You know
- 2:24Speaker 1: today I was having a conversation with my wife last
- 2:28Speaker 1: night and we were talking about our plans. You know,
- 2:32Speaker 1: we often sit down, you know, just like a married couple.
- 2:35Speaker 1: I mean, you know, you know we're married. You know,
- 2:37Speaker 1: we have children, we have aspirations, we have hopes, we
- 2:41Speaker 1: I mean know, we have things we want. You know,
- 2:43Speaker 1: when you're married, you know, I mean it's important to
- 2:47Speaker 1: sit with your partner. I'm not telling you anything you
- 2:49Speaker 1: don't know, it's common sense. Really, It's important to sit
- 2:52Speaker 1: down with the person that you've chosen and decided to
- 2:55Speaker 1: share your life with it and have multiple conversations on
- 2:59Speaker 1: a lot of things. And we try to make sure
- 3:01Speaker 1: that all of our conversations aren't always just business related
- 3:06Speaker 1: and always kid related, you know, because that that that
- 3:11Speaker 1: becomes it's a part of it. But it weighs so
- 3:15Speaker 1: much on the marriage that because that that's the grunt
- 3:19Speaker 1: work of being married. You know, your children, your family,
- 3:22Speaker 1: your bills, your your mortgage, your your car notes. You
- 3:26Speaker 1: know though, what's due, what's coming up, and if you're
- 3:31Speaker 1: not careful, you'll you'll start that becomes the focal point
- 3:36Speaker 1: of you all's conversation. And this woman or man or
- 3:40Speaker 1: person that you've decided to have this life with, all
- 3:43Speaker 1: of a sudden, they're an extension of your business, and
- 3:47Speaker 1: you guys become business partners or whatever, and and and
- 3:52Speaker 1: it just gets so anywhere. I'm just saying that that
- 3:54Speaker 1: is important to sit down and have these conversations, but
- 3:58Speaker 1: it's even more important to have of the other conversation.
- 4:01Speaker 1: You know, It's it's important with the person that you're
- 4:04Speaker 1: planning on making the run to sit down and talk
- 4:07Speaker 1: about other things, you know, on a more upbeat note.
- 4:11Speaker 1: You know, we were having a conversation that she was
- 4:15Speaker 1: reminding me of what she loved about me, and then I,
- 4:19Speaker 1: in turn, was turned around telling her the things that
- 4:23Speaker 1: I admired about her and loved about her. And we
- 4:26Speaker 1: kind of have these all the time, you know, when
- 4:28Speaker 1: we sit down and we talk about the things that
- 4:32Speaker 1: we still enjoy about one another, or we may talk
- 4:35Speaker 1: about some of the things that we miss in one another.
- 4:38Speaker 1: But we constantly had these conversations about appreciation. You know,
- 4:43Speaker 1: it's so important man, that the other person feels appreciated.
- 4:47Speaker 1: So these things are important. But we got into the
- 4:50Speaker 1: conversation deeper last night, and I was telling her about
- 4:53Speaker 1: this idea that I had and that I wanted her
- 4:58Speaker 1: to help me with and make a phone call for
- 5:00Speaker 1: me because she knows these people and I was going
- 5:03Speaker 1: to be doing this, and then my wife reminded me
- 5:06Speaker 1: of something not once again, you know, as always, you know,
- 5:10Speaker 1: when I'm talking to you, I just keep it as
- 5:12Speaker 1: real as I can. I don't know the Bible inside out.
- 5:16Speaker 1: I can't quote to you scriptures and tell you exactly
- 5:18Speaker 1: where it is I just you know, I heard her
- 5:21Speaker 1: say it, but it kind of blew by me. I
- 5:25Speaker 1: was I was telling about something I wanted to make happen,
- 5:27Speaker 1: and she reminded me that there's a scripture somewhere and
- 5:31Speaker 1: somebody emailed it to me to day. I'm sure, well,
- 5:34Speaker 1: the Bible reminds us not to be anxious for anything.
- 5:38Speaker 1: Don't be anxious for something. And you know, it really
- 5:42Speaker 1: mattered to me at that point yesterday that she bought
- 5:45Speaker 1: this to my attention, because how many times I've been
- 5:48Speaker 1: guilty of that in my past and I've learned better now,
- 5:52Speaker 1: but every now and then I need to be reminded,
- 5:55Speaker 1: you know. And I think what that what she was
- 5:59Speaker 1: saying to me was us. You know, I've gotten to
- 6:01Speaker 1: a point in my life and we all should get
- 6:04Speaker 1: to a point where. You know, you've heard old people
- 6:07Speaker 1: say this, if you're gonna pray about something, then don't
- 6:10Speaker 1: worry about it. And if you're gonna worry about it,
- 6:13Speaker 1: don't pray about it. Back to this, be anxious for nothing, don't.
- 6:19Speaker 1: If you're going to him trust in God didn't do that,
- 6:24Speaker 1: and trusting in Him means sometimes you got to be patient.
- 6:29Speaker 1: God has never been too late. You don't know the
- 6:33Speaker 1: plan he has, You don't know You don't really always
- 6:36Speaker 1: know his will. You definitely don't know his route, his
- 6:39Speaker 1: way of doing anything. So he's always on time. He's
- 6:44Speaker 1: always been there on time for me. He's always been
- 6:47Speaker 1: there on time for you. How many times have you
- 6:50Speaker 1: thought it was over only to find out it's really
- 6:54Speaker 1: just begun. How many times have people wrote you off?
- 7:00Speaker 1: Are those of you who have lost jobs but you
- 7:04Speaker 1: are still maintaining. But man, God has already began to
- 7:09Speaker 1: turn around process for many of us. Some of us
- 7:13Speaker 1: lost jobs and now have better jobs. Some of us
- 7:17Speaker 1: lost jobs and now has forced us to rekindle that
- 7:21Speaker 1: dream and that vision for business we had. It's sometimes
- 7:25Speaker 1: the mishap is the thing you need to make something
- 7:29Speaker 1: good happen. See a lot of times we get so
- 7:32Speaker 1: comfortable in our life where we we get complacent, We
- 7:38Speaker 1: just settling in and when this is it and this
- 7:41Speaker 1: is what I'm doing. But in actuality, God has a
- 7:44Speaker 1: tremendous amount of abundance for you. He has an amazing
- 7:48Speaker 1: amount of things. He has all these boxes packaged up
- 7:51Speaker 1: with your name on him that he's willing to ship
- 7:54Speaker 1: if you would just align yourself with some of his
- 7:58Speaker 1: wills so you could get some of these things. How
- 8:01Speaker 1: many times have you thought it was over and it
- 8:04Speaker 1: didn't really go over? How many times have you thought well,
- 8:08Speaker 1: this is it and it wasn't it at all. Well,
- 8:11Speaker 1: how many times do you thought, well, it don't look
- 8:13Speaker 1: like this gonna work out, and it didn't work out,
- 8:15Speaker 1: but then something better came along? How many times has
- 8:19Speaker 1: that happened? You've got to realize this, man. I was
- 8:23Speaker 1: talking to a family who had got displaced from the
- 8:26Speaker 1: Katrina thing that happened down there in New Orleans. And man,
- 8:30Speaker 1: when they said, yeah, we got a displaced from Katrina,
- 8:33Speaker 1: and I braced myself because the old what was me?
- 8:36Speaker 1: Here comes this story. I gotta hear this, and I
- 8:38Speaker 1: gotta be encouraging think of something. It was totally different.
- 8:41Speaker 1: They totally totally blew me away. Man. The brother said, man,
- 8:47Speaker 1: it's actually the best thing that ever happened to my family.
- 8:50Speaker 1: And I went whoa And he said, yeah, man, he said,
- 8:53Speaker 1: because what happened was he said, I got settled in
- 8:57Speaker 1: He said, Plus, I was doing some things outside of
- 9:01Speaker 1: my marriage down there, He said, I was doing some
- 9:03Speaker 1: stuff in the streets. I ain't need to be doing,
- 9:05Speaker 1: he said, Man, it all got washed away. We thought
- 9:08Speaker 1: our life would never be the same. But he said, man,
- 9:10Speaker 1: my life ain't need to be the same. He said, Man,
- 9:14Speaker 1: Now we live up here in Texas. We got a house,
- 9:17Speaker 1: don't know nobody, he said, I ain't got nobody I
- 9:20Speaker 1: know to get into trouble with. He said, man, i'dn't
- 9:22Speaker 1: rediscovering my wife, how beautiful she really is, how much
- 9:26Speaker 1: my family really was counting on me. And he said, man,
- 9:28Speaker 1: it's straightened me up. Man, he says, so I gotta
- 9:31Speaker 1: tell you, Steve, it was the best thing that ever
- 9:33Speaker 1: happened to me. Now that's not always the case, but
- 9:37Speaker 1: it's how you look at a situation. But just don't
- 9:40Speaker 1: be anxious for anything, because God got a fix for
- 9:43Speaker 1: you if you just let him work. So just stay
- 9:46Speaker 1: on course, stay focused, don't lose faith, don't be anxious. Man,
- 9:51Speaker 1: just stay in the wheel. Let God work with you.
- 9:55Speaker 1: He got some great stuff in store for you. You're listening,
- 10:02Speaker 1: ladies and gentlemen. It is here that Steve Harvey Morning
- 10:05Speaker 1: Show us upon us energy, attitude, gratitude, latitude, outitude. It's
- 10:13Speaker 1: all positive right now. You've got to wake up and
- 10:16Speaker 1: understand that. Man, When you wake up, it's a sure
- 10:19Speaker 1: sign from God that he ain't through with you yet.
- 10:22Speaker 1: I am living my life in expectation of what could
- 10:26Speaker 1: that be? Now? Lord, who what else you got? Man?
- 10:32Speaker 1: Even if it comes wrapped up in a package of pain,
- 10:36Speaker 1: I know when I take the bowl off of it
- 10:38Speaker 1: and I get rid of all that paper and throw
- 10:40Speaker 1: it in the trash and open that box, there's something
- 10:43Speaker 1: in that from it. In order to get to something,
- 10:45Speaker 1: you got to go through something. So whatever the through is,
- 10:49Speaker 1: bring it on so I can get to the thing
- 10:52Speaker 1: that's in the box. That's what I'm trying to get to.
- 10:55Speaker 1: And I'm fired up about mine to day. So come on, Lord,
- 10:58Speaker 1: you walk me up. You're gonna give me the strength
- 11:00Speaker 1: and the wisman understanding to deal with it. And here
- 11:02Speaker 1: I am. I'm ready to go. This is Steve Harvey
- 11:05Speaker 1: Marny Show. That right there is a blessing. You know
- 11:07Speaker 1: what I mean? Long? How long we've been able to
- 11:08Speaker 1: say that? Steve Harvey Morning Show, you better shut up
- 11:12Speaker 1: sharing Strawberry calling for real Mouth of the South, Junior, Nephew, Tommy,
- 11:17Speaker 1: what man? What man? Man? But on fire lit, Yeah,
- 11:29Speaker 1: cooking with grease, flying, flying with grease. Man talking about
- 11:37Speaker 1: over mind, junior man. Come on, man, even with the pain,
- 11:42Speaker 1: you said, let me go through it so I could
- 11:44Speaker 1: get to the box. It don't even matter what's gonna
- 11:47Speaker 1: happen to you. You just want to get through it.
- 11:50Speaker 1: It matters not how straight the gate, how charge with
- 11:56Speaker 1: punishment the scroll. I am the man, master of my faith.
- 12:02Speaker 1: I am the captain of my soul. What I think,
- 12:07Speaker 1: whatever God may be from my unconquerable soul. Boy, what man,
- 12:13Speaker 1: what you say? Tommy in the fail clutch, give me
- 12:18Speaker 1: to give me the church music with me black as
- 12:28Speaker 1: the pit from pole to pole. That's right, Come on,
- 12:33Speaker 1: I think whatever God may be, far far my unconquerable soul.
- 12:42Speaker 1: In the fail clutch of circumstance, I have not winced
- 12:49Speaker 1: and nar cried aloud under the bludgeonings of chance. My
- 12:56Speaker 1: head is bloody. But on by old Ah said, beyond
- 13:03Speaker 1: this place of raft and tears looms about the horror
- 13:09Speaker 1: of the shade. Yet the minutes of the years, fine
- 13:17Speaker 1: and farrently, Yes, sir, yes, sir yes, saw the cues
- 13:26Speaker 1: and the nuts is preaching this moment because we have
- 13:30Speaker 1: both been in the fair clutch of circumstances. All right,
- 13:37Speaker 1: coming up at thirty two minutes after the hour of
- 13:40Speaker 1: the nephew and run that prank back right after this.
- 13:44Speaker 1: You're listening Morning show, all right, it is time now
- 13:48Speaker 1: for the nephew to run that prank back. What you
- 13:51Speaker 1: got for us now, this is no half weed, all
- 13:55Speaker 1: naturalality day. When you come up in this office, I
- 13:58Speaker 1: want natural barely, Carl, I'm on. When you come up
- 14:00Speaker 1: into the office, I want no woman about her hair.
- 14:05Speaker 1: No hello, Hello, I'm trying to reach Resa, please reesa.
- 14:12Speaker 1: Hi Resa. My name is Byron, Byron from the job.
- 14:15Speaker 1: How are you? I'm okay, how are you buying? I'm good. Listen.
- 14:18Speaker 1: I hate to call you after hours at your home.
- 14:21Speaker 1: But there has been some new issues that will be
- 14:24Speaker 1: going into effect. That was just tomorrow morning, and we're
- 14:28Speaker 1: calling everyone letting them know the new changes that have
- 14:30Speaker 1: been issued that will take effect first thing tomorrow morning.
- 14:34Speaker 1: So we're giving everyone a call. So don't be alarmed.
- 14:36Speaker 1: It's just giving you a call letting you know what
- 14:39Speaker 1: the what the higher ups have changed. Okay, okay, there's
- 14:42Speaker 1: no problem. Minutes to listen. Okay, that's up tomorrow. What's
- 14:45Speaker 1: gonna happen is when you guys come in, you'll be
- 14:47Speaker 1: issued a new key card, and that particular card will
- 14:51Speaker 1: actually registers when you come in and go out. Okay, okay,
- 14:54Speaker 1: all right. Second one is there will no longer be
- 14:57Speaker 1: any personal Internet at the job any longer. You won't
- 15:01Speaker 1: be able. They're actually putting a block on all computers.
- 15:04Speaker 1: All the computers will no longer be able to go
- 15:06Speaker 1: to a lot of these sites that you guys go
- 15:09Speaker 1: to that you've been that's been available here in the past. Okay, okay,
- 15:14Speaker 1: all right. The last one is reesa do you do
- 15:18Speaker 1: you wear a hair weave? What do you wear a
- 15:21Speaker 1: hair weave or a wig? Yes? Okay, Well here's one
- 15:25Speaker 1: thing and hopefully you can get this change about tomorrow.
- 15:28Speaker 1: There's no weaves or hair or wigs gonna be allowed
- 15:33Speaker 1: at the job site from this point on. So as
- 15:36Speaker 1: of tomorrow morning, everyone must be wearing their natural hair.
- 15:40Speaker 1: You're joking, Uh No, These are the issues that are
- 15:43Speaker 1: going to be that are in stated, and these are
- 15:46Speaker 1: going to take effect as of tomorrow morning, seven o'clock.
- 15:49Speaker 1: What does hair weave to have to do with any
- 15:50Speaker 1: of these changes? The first two. I can understand punching
- 15:53Speaker 1: in and being on the internet. Yes, that's something that
- 15:57Speaker 1: that corporate. But hair weave and weeks you're getting into
- 16:01Speaker 1: change ups are they're looking down upon it. Wigs and
- 16:06Speaker 1: hair weaves they have to go. So I'm assuming that
- 16:10Speaker 1: if you, like you said, you do have one, I
- 16:13Speaker 1: suggest it doesn't come out of there, taking it down
- 16:16Speaker 1: now and prepare your hair to be natural as you
- 16:18Speaker 1: come in to work tomorrow. I'm not taking my hair down.
- 16:21Speaker 1: I've been here seven years and I've dealt with all
- 16:23Speaker 1: the changes that y'all have made. But there's no way
- 16:26Speaker 1: that I'm taking my hair weave down. I'm sorry. What's
- 16:29Speaker 1: your name, Byron? Yes, my name is Byron, and I'm sorry.
- 16:34Speaker 1: Let's get back to your weave. This has you're gonna
- 16:36Speaker 1: have to do something. Is there someone that you can
- 16:39Speaker 1: call tonight to help you get your hair down and
- 16:41Speaker 1: so you can look presentable with your natural hair tomorrow. No,
- 16:44Speaker 1: my weave cost over two three hundred dollars and I'm
- 16:47Speaker 1: not about to take that down. I mean, it takes
- 16:50Speaker 1: a long time to take that down. Okay, I mean,
- 16:53Speaker 1: is this something maybe you can take it down and
- 16:56Speaker 1: just wear it on the weekends because as of now,
- 16:58Speaker 1: you're not gonna be allowed to actually wear it on
- 17:01Speaker 1: the property. And how will you know if someone has
- 17:03Speaker 1: a weave or not. Are you gonna do head checks
- 17:05Speaker 1: or something? Okay, ma'am, I'm not quite sure what they're
- 17:09Speaker 1: gonna do to check it. But by you telling me
- 17:12Speaker 1: that you you have a weave, then I have to
- 17:15Speaker 1: write it down that you have confirmed that you do,
- 17:18Speaker 1: and we got to make sure that tomorrow morning you're
- 17:20Speaker 1: not wearing one. But you don't know what my natural
- 17:23Speaker 1: hair looks like from my weave? Are you heard how
- 17:26Speaker 1: much I pay for it? So it's a good weave, ma'am.
- 17:29Speaker 1: It's not about how good you know with the quality
- 17:32Speaker 1: of your weave or anything. They don't want it. They
- 17:34Speaker 1: want natural hair. I don't know what that means. But
- 17:37Speaker 1: they're going natural. They're going green, they're going natural. I
- 17:40Speaker 1: don't know what it is. They're going natural, and so
- 17:42Speaker 1: will you. Tomorrow morning you need to come in with
- 17:45Speaker 1: your hair completely down. I'm gonna do it. I'm not
- 17:48Speaker 1: taking my weave now, Okay, y'all gonna write me up
- 17:51Speaker 1: or something, Okay, ma'am. Do you not want your job? Yeah?
- 17:54Speaker 1: I want my job, but this don't make no sense.
- 17:56Speaker 1: You're talking about personal appearance. I can understand y'all have
- 17:59Speaker 1: a job, best coach and forcing a dress code, that's
- 18:02Speaker 1: one thing. But telling somebody to change that. Have you
- 18:06Speaker 1: lost your mind? Man? You're crazy. Man, I'm not good.
- 18:08Speaker 1: I have other people that I have to call. Bottom
- 18:11Speaker 1: line is get your hat out and get your butt
- 18:13Speaker 1: into work tomorrow, and let's not go back and forth anymore. Okay, Well, listen,
- 18:18Speaker 1: by rand you're a low mind. If you're thinking I'm
- 18:21Speaker 1: taking my weave, I'm not taking out at all. Risa
- 18:26Speaker 1: is coming up in there with her hair and I'm
- 18:28Speaker 1: gonna sit down at my desk and do my job.
- 18:30Speaker 1: Y'all gonna have to drag me out that handsome weave.
- 18:34Speaker 1: You lost your mind, You and your powers that be
- 18:36Speaker 1: or whoever they may be. You tell them that I
- 18:39Speaker 1: said that. Women, women, listen, Are you telling me that
- 18:42Speaker 1: you're coming in regardless with your hair on? Right? That's
- 18:46Speaker 1: what I just said. Okay, you then then we need
- 18:51Speaker 1: Why don't you go ahead and bring some boxes in
- 18:53Speaker 1: because you may I'm not you bring this, man, I
- 18:57Speaker 1: don't want to have to pack. You get your stuff
- 18:59Speaker 1: and box it up, and you're losing your job because
- 19:01Speaker 1: you can't take it. You know what? You can do
- 19:03Speaker 1: that because I'm a caller the news station and tell
- 19:06Speaker 1: them you're dragging me out of go behind some weeds.
- 19:09Speaker 1: Who wrong? You're wrong? You're wrong? You stupid? Are you gonna?
- 19:14Speaker 1: You need to watch your language, young lady? Why I
- 19:16Speaker 1: need to watch my language? I'm at home. You call
- 19:18Speaker 1: me on my own home phone and my time. I'm
- 19:21Speaker 1: at my house. I'm not on your flock. I say
- 19:23Speaker 1: what I want to say on my phone. Okay? Can
- 19:26Speaker 1: I say what I want on my phone? And then
- 19:27Speaker 1: I don't let you go and you can come into
- 19:29Speaker 1: to work anyway you want to tomorrow. What is it,
- 19:32Speaker 1: bobm On? What else you got to say? I want
- 19:34Speaker 1: to tell you that your girlfriend Jennifer at your job
- 19:37Speaker 1: got me to plank phone call you. This is Nephew
- 19:40Speaker 1: Tommy from the Steve Harvey Morning Show. He's just saying,
- 19:47Speaker 1: I know you, hey, reason this is this is nephew
- 19:52Speaker 1: Tommy baby from the Steve Harby More than your Jennifer,
- 19:55Speaker 1: your co worker, got me to prank phone, called my
- 19:57Speaker 1: blood pressure up. I'm gonna kill me tomorrow and I'm
- 20:00Speaker 1: gonna pull a w weave out. You want to come
- 20:03Speaker 1: down there and watch me drink out of the show. Pressure.
- 20:09Speaker 1: You can't be doing that to me behind my weave.
- 20:11Speaker 1: I pay too much money. I definitely been on my kids.
- 20:14Speaker 1: Oh I ain't look like a black woman and her
- 20:16Speaker 1: hell oh man, Okay, baby, I got one more thing
- 20:22Speaker 1: to ask you, girl, What is the baddest and I
- 20:25Speaker 1: mean the baddest radio show in the land. Well, after
- 20:29Speaker 1: this prank, you have to be the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 20:33Speaker 1: God alright, nephew, uh here alone, that's right Coming up next,
- 20:43Speaker 1: ask the CLO with Chief Love Officer Steve Harvey and
- 20:46Speaker 1: the building ready for your love questions. Right after this,
- 20:50Speaker 1: you're listening to Harvey Morning Show coming up at the
- 20:54Speaker 1: top of the hour and entertainment news. Have you seen
- 20:57Speaker 1: the viral video of the deceased rapper um his body
- 21:01Speaker 1: was on stage at a nightclub, his dead body for
- 21:05Speaker 1: his public viewing and memorial service. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 21:09Speaker 1: we'll talk about it. We'll talk about don't talk about it,
- 21:14Speaker 1: but right now, yeah, it's time to ask the CLO,
- 21:19Speaker 1: the Chief Love Officer, Steve Harvey. Here we go, Missy
- 21:22Speaker 1: and Colorado. I'm dating outside of my race for the
- 21:25Speaker 1: first time, and everything was going great until we had sex,
- 21:30Speaker 1: and his kinky talk turned me off. He asked, if
- 21:34Speaker 1: there's chocolate in those mountains, referring to my breasts. Should
- 21:40Speaker 1: I take it as a joke or educate him? Well, oh,
- 21:44Speaker 1: I didn't see it that Well, you're you a white dough.
- 21:54Speaker 1: There's a lot of stuff we say, Aksea, you know
- 21:56Speaker 1: is a food in their kitchen. You know, you can't
- 22:00Speaker 1: some things they can't say. You know, you know how
- 22:04Speaker 1: black is the berry? You know. I'm just telling you.
- 22:09Speaker 1: I can't help you, Lay. I don't know what to
- 22:11Speaker 1: tell you. I have no experience with outside the race dating. Now,
- 22:15Speaker 1: don't see nothing wrong with it. Of course, love is love.
- 22:18Speaker 1: You find it wherever you find it. If I found
- 22:21Speaker 1: it outside the race, I do it myself. I just
- 22:24Speaker 1: focus strictly on my race because you scared of my mother.
- 22:29Speaker 1: Because my mother said that they can't use our coon,
- 22:32Speaker 1: don't bring them home, and so therefore I had no option.
- 22:36Speaker 1: I could doctor come in the house with nobody else,
- 22:38Speaker 1: and neither could my brother. Let my cousin sitting it
- 22:41Speaker 1: did it, and she changed the baby on the dining
- 22:44Speaker 1: room table, and ain't been back over to the house.
- 22:46Speaker 1: Sits that's been gos with inter racial dating. So I
- 22:49Speaker 1: really can't help you. Next question, sure, door to and
- 22:58Speaker 1: m and evans and says, I've been married for less
- 23:01Speaker 1: than thirty days and my husband has moved in and
- 23:04Speaker 1: he's making my seventeen year old want to go live
- 23:07Speaker 1: with his father. My husband gave my son a set
- 23:10Speaker 1: bedtime and a nine pm curfew. How do I ter
- 23:15Speaker 1: intervene and fix their relationship? Well, ask your husband, Well,
- 23:22Speaker 1: tell your husband that your son has not signed up
- 23:25Speaker 1: for the military as of yet. Yeah, in the bed
- 23:29Speaker 1: at seven, curfew by nine? How old did she say?
- 23:32Speaker 1: How all the board? Seventeen years old? Seventeen? Boy? Man,
- 23:36Speaker 1: you tripp it? Do you tripping? No? You tripp seventeen
- 23:40Speaker 1: year old Finn to be in a curfew at nine o'clock,
- 23:43Speaker 1: he'll boy, yeah, yeah, yeah, man, you've been married thirty days,
- 23:49Speaker 1: less than thirty. No, you can't come in here with that.
- 23:53Speaker 1: Come bro, bro, that's not a good rule. He's seventeen
- 23:58Speaker 1: in a minute, all in a minute, he can go
- 24:01Speaker 1: to wall. Yeah what you can't. Can't treat this boy
- 24:06Speaker 1: like this man? Come on, don't you do? Unreal? So
- 24:11Speaker 1: what does she do? She wants to know how to
- 24:13Speaker 1: how do I intervene and fix their relationship? Well, you
- 24:16Speaker 1: gotta intervene. You gotta set your husband now, and that's
- 24:19Speaker 1: where you start. We're not doing that. I don't want
- 24:22Speaker 1: to lose my son, okay, and I didn't marry you.
- 24:26Speaker 1: This wasn't a trade off him or you. I want
- 24:29Speaker 1: it both. But I'm not gonna lose my son over
- 24:32Speaker 1: this foolishness. I'm not over some ignorant ass curfew rules
- 24:36Speaker 1: seven to nine. Okay, all right, yeah, all right, Princey
- 24:43Speaker 1: and Delaware, we're moving on. Prince says, my mom keeps
- 24:47Speaker 1: my girlfriend's baby so she can go out at night
- 24:50Speaker 1: while I'm working. All my mother asks is that she
- 24:53Speaker 1: picked the baby up by midnight, but my girlfriend is
- 24:57Speaker 1: always late. I told my girlfriend to stop disresp expecting
- 25:00Speaker 1: my mom, and she a mama's boy. I wrong for
- 25:03Speaker 1: taking my mother's side. She called you, or what a
- 25:08Speaker 1: mama's boy? That ain't no mama's boy. You can't you
- 25:12Speaker 1: disrespecting my mama? She said, before midnight? You're late? Quick?
- 25:16Speaker 1: I quit keeping the baby. Yeah, that's all we got
- 25:21Speaker 1: to sleep the answer. Take your baby somewhere else. I'm
- 25:24Speaker 1: not watching this bad. I got to go to bed.
- 25:27Speaker 1: Yeah that is late, man, and nobody find up be
- 25:32Speaker 1: opening up the dough for you at midnight. I've been here, dad, sleep, ding, done, ding, done?
- 25:38Speaker 1: What the baby? All of that? Oh, you can ask
- 25:42Speaker 1: my son how they go sleep in that car. I've
- 25:45Speaker 1: done it. Oh. I can't tell you how many times
- 25:50Speaker 1: they had to pull up in that garage and then
- 25:52Speaker 1: she let that dough down. I know they said, this
- 25:55Speaker 1: isn't really it's like I know they was talking to
- 25:58Speaker 1: that car top. I'm not coming that dad, you are, click,
- 26:07Speaker 1: but you're up enough to answer the phone and say no.
- 26:11Speaker 1: I heard the garage door open. I knew it was ill.
- 26:15Speaker 1: I told him to thirty y'all roll in its fall.
- 26:19Speaker 1: Okay cool, I'm not coming downstairs, though. Sleep in the car,
- 26:23Speaker 1: you'd be all right. Next question, Shirley. All right, we're
- 26:26Speaker 1: moving on to Mary and Hampton, who writes my best
- 26:29Speaker 1: friend and I have been a dynamic duo for twenty years.
- 26:32Speaker 1: We're both married with kids, but we still talked daily.
- 26:35Speaker 1: A few days ago, she facetimed me from a hotel
- 26:39Speaker 1: tell me that she was with a co worker and
- 26:41Speaker 1: she asked me to cover for her. I did it,
- 26:44Speaker 1: but I told her I'd only do it once. Now
- 26:48Speaker 1: could she be angry with me? Because y'all supposed to
- 26:52Speaker 1: be ride or diab But y'all never put that into
- 26:54Speaker 1: the ride and handbook that y'all got, cheating. Yeah, yeah,
- 27:01Speaker 1: it's in our hand you know. It's our handbook. Is
- 27:05Speaker 1: ride or die all the way out ride the lie,
- 27:09Speaker 1: Ride or die all the way out with the lie
- 27:13Speaker 1: is the motto. And so y'all obviously doesn't have that
- 27:18Speaker 1: type of relationship. And yeah, she's angry, but you know
- 27:22Speaker 1: you don't. I also say you are not beholding to
- 27:26Speaker 1: bad behavior. You don't have to condone it or be
- 27:30Speaker 1: a part of it. Sometimes when you make your bed,
- 27:34Speaker 1: you have to lay in it. Don't ask see you can't.
- 27:38Speaker 1: You can't mess up your sheets and stuff in expect
- 27:40Speaker 1: me to come over every day and put that fitted
- 27:42Speaker 1: sheet back on there and make your bed. You gotta
- 27:45Speaker 1: do that yourself. You do not have to condone bad behavior.
- 27:48Speaker 1: Nobody does. Nobody does. Example, if a friend of mine
- 27:54Speaker 1: rob a bank and the police come to my house
- 27:58Speaker 1: looking for the guy who robbed a bank, first worried
- 28:04Speaker 1: out my mouth is he upstairs in the attic behind
- 28:08Speaker 1: the water heating. First first, well, I would be an
- 28:15Speaker 1: accessful if I didn't tell you, right. But once the
- 28:19Speaker 1: FBI come in that dope, they ain't coming in that dough. Yeah,
- 28:24Speaker 1: hoping here and that they got some information. So first
- 28:27Speaker 1: words out of my mouth is he's upstairs in the
- 28:31Speaker 1: attic behind the water Call it what you want to
- 28:37Speaker 1: call it, but I'm not fitting to get the aiding
- 28:40Speaker 1: and a bedding, uh conspiracy you knowed yeah, yeah, harbord
- 28:48Speaker 1: And now all that sounds like time. You know, I've
- 28:54Speaker 1: been at working a bought your ass. This bag of
- 28:56Speaker 1: money that you that clearly ain't your all the blue
- 28:59Speaker 1: week all over your face is so well, I'm not
- 29:01Speaker 1: fit to be a part of this year. Yes, I
- 29:03Speaker 1: here you all right? Thank you Cello. Coming up at
- 29:06Speaker 1: the top of the hour, we'll have some entertainment news
- 29:08Speaker 1: for you. Right after this. You're listening to the Stave
- 29:11Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show. A deceased rapper's body was propped up
- 29:17Speaker 1: in DCA's Bliss Nightclub for a public viewing on Sunday.
- 29:22Speaker 1: It was very reminiscent of a weekend at Bernie's. We
- 29:25Speaker 1: all remember that movie, but it was in a nightclub setting.
- 29:28Speaker 1: Trending videos showed the body of twenty four year old
- 29:31Speaker 1: murdered rapper Gunu, whose real name is MARKL. Morrow, appearing
- 29:37Speaker 1: to be standing upright on a stage for a public
- 29:40Speaker 1: viewing and memorial service. The body was decked out in
- 29:43Speaker 1: a designer hoodie, it blinged out rolex and a goal
- 29:47Speaker 1: crown was on his head. Gnu was murdered by an
- 29:50Speaker 1: unknown assailant in District Heights, Maryland, on March eighteenth, and
- 29:54Speaker 1: the memorial service was named the last Show. There was
- 29:57Speaker 1: a forty dollars cover charge to get in. Bliss's nightclubs
- 30:01Speaker 1: management issued a statement containing an apology and some background
- 30:05Speaker 1: information event. They said, our deepest condolences to Guno's fancy
- 30:11Speaker 1: friends and his fans. Contacted by a local funeral home
- 30:15Speaker 1: to rent out our venue or Guno's homecoming celebration. Bliss
- 30:19Speaker 1: was never made aware of what would transpire. We sincerely
- 30:23Speaker 1: apologize to all those who may be upset or offended.
- 30:26Speaker 1: Please keep Guno's family and friends in your prayers at
- 30:29Speaker 1: this difficult time. Respectfully, Bliss DC, well he said most stuff. Respectfully,
- 30:38Speaker 1: keep me in prayers. Then I saw online. I just
- 30:42Speaker 1: found it unbelievable. I just was truly unbelievable. Ye, it
- 30:47Speaker 1: was disturbing, really was. You know, do you know what
- 30:51Speaker 1: you got to do? The proper body up like that
- 30:55Speaker 1: straight up? Yeah? You know what I mean to steal rode?
- 30:58Speaker 1: You got to put in this back to this house man. Look,
- 31:03Speaker 1: first of all, where is this boy's mama and daddy?
- 31:08Speaker 1: But I really want to know where his grandmama at
- 31:11Speaker 1: because I promise you she wouldn't boy nobody grandmama. You know,
- 31:20Speaker 1: she got a little nickname for him. Who's gonna put
- 31:22Speaker 1: Google wear? But you're not fitting up? I just can't
- 31:28Speaker 1: see it. And then you know, I was looking at
- 31:30Speaker 1: the video. I'm gonna let y'all talk, But I was
- 31:31Speaker 1: looking at the video and I saw some people dancing.
- 31:35Speaker 1: But then I saw the looks on a couple of
- 31:37Speaker 1: them dudes faces that was in hoodies. They looked this
- 31:41Speaker 1: strap like damn man, like he got my dude, he dad. Yeah,
- 31:48Speaker 1: something about this just isn't right. I'm sure. Yeah, it
- 31:54Speaker 1: was very disturbing, very much. I loved doing stand up,
- 31:58Speaker 1: I love doing play, I love doing movies. When I
- 32:02Speaker 1: leave here, put me in that casket, gonna prop my
- 32:07Speaker 1: ass nowhere, and now one of them arenas I want
- 32:10Speaker 1: to be in the casket on the way. I Hey, man,
- 32:15Speaker 1: you know what was disturbing to me some of the comments.
- 32:18Speaker 1: If you are understood our history, this is how we
- 32:21Speaker 1: used to do it as Africans, So quit tripping. You're
- 32:24Speaker 1: a damn lie. You That boy wasn't propped up because
- 32:27Speaker 1: of what we used to do in Africa. You're no
- 32:29Speaker 1: good in hell where your dumb man say, read no
- 32:33Speaker 1: history book about no burials in all this here. Y'all
- 32:37Speaker 1: kill me with all that all that sudden information. The internet, man,
- 32:41Speaker 1: is a trap for fools. If you don't have your
- 32:45Speaker 1: head on right and you listen to the foolishness that
- 32:49Speaker 1: be on some of these comments. You've been going, wait
- 32:52Speaker 1: a minute, that's somebody think like that. But as soon
- 32:54Speaker 1: as somebody think like that, here comes some agreeing and
- 32:58Speaker 1: I just go, wow, that was really shocking to see
- 33:01Speaker 1: that boy propped up. Like when a guy first sent
- 33:03Speaker 1: it to me, I didn't know what it was. I
- 33:05Speaker 1: thought it was I just thought it was a concert. Yeah,
- 33:10Speaker 1: I don't know what it was. Yeah, you didn't really
- 33:13Speaker 1: know that he was dead. I mean it was, but
- 33:16Speaker 1: these shoes, the skinny jeans on his wrist, watch on
- 33:19Speaker 1: the crown on his head, but the phone it looked like, yeah,
- 33:24Speaker 1: it was just way way too So after this over,
- 33:28Speaker 1: they carried you the body back out of there and
- 33:30Speaker 1: then what we're gonna but all of this and I mean,
- 33:36Speaker 1: you know, and sad to say the young man passed
- 33:39Speaker 1: away because he was shot. Absolutely really that's another issue. Yeah, yeah,
- 33:46Speaker 1: the it's called rip for a reason. Rest in peace,
- 33:51Speaker 1: peace Yeah that rest, lay down, yeah, rest, stretch out, rest.
- 34:02Speaker 1: That was too much for me. It was yeah, and
- 34:06Speaker 1: we Burnie the movie I was on at So the
- 34:10Speaker 1: club is saying they didn't know, so they didn't know
- 34:12Speaker 1: what was they were gonna he was they didn't they
- 34:16Speaker 1: be right right. They were contacted by a funeral home
- 34:20Speaker 1: and to use the facility. I got that I could
- 34:24Speaker 1: because you know, because of COVID. I will tell you
- 34:26Speaker 1: a lot of funerals are backed up. It's hard to
- 34:29Speaker 1: get places in church. And then this boy might not
- 34:31Speaker 1: have been a church going. Hey, really a lot of
- 34:33Speaker 1: churches available, you know, because they got a save it
- 34:36Speaker 1: for their memberships and all this here. That's how bad
- 34:39Speaker 1: it's been lately, because I know ministers who say, you know,
- 34:42Speaker 1: they backed up two three weeks on funerals. My god,
- 34:45Speaker 1: I've I've lost two friends of mine, two friend brothers
- 34:49Speaker 1: over the past three months, and both of them were
- 34:54Speaker 1: out of the ground for a considerable amount of time
- 34:56Speaker 1: before they were able to be laid to rest properly. Yeah,
- 35:00Speaker 1: so I can understand them written out a club or something,
- 35:04Speaker 1: you know, forty dollars cover charge to get in. Yeah,
- 35:09Speaker 1: what was that? I don't know, playing music that wasn't
- 35:15Speaker 1: a church song? They were saying, what was the song
- 35:17Speaker 1: they was playing? All I didn't even have the volume up.
- 35:22Speaker 1: I just want to believe it. Yeah, I don't. I
- 35:26Speaker 1: don't know what the song was. No, y'all gonna lay
- 35:28Speaker 1: my ass down. I'm not gonna do anything like this. Yeah, yeah, exactly, Tommy,
- 35:35Speaker 1: I'm gonna show. I'm gonna make a show man, I'm
- 35:39Speaker 1: gonna use I'm gonna get you, gonna get you right now,
- 35:42Speaker 1: I'm gonna put you in a thirteen saze thirteen shot box.
- 35:47Speaker 1: All right, we gotta go on that note. Coming up
- 35:49Speaker 1: At twenty minutes after the hour, court is in session
- 35:52Speaker 1: with Judge Steve Harvey. We'll talk about it right after this.
- 35:56Speaker 1: You're listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, So
- 36:01Speaker 1: the big show happened last night, Carla. How about last
- 36:04Speaker 1: night's Judge Steve episode. It was on ABC and her
- 36:08Speaker 1: you noticed my show Judy. Okay, So the first case
- 36:14Speaker 1: was the friends. The guy was on the scooters and
- 36:18Speaker 1: his friend pushed him and he broke his leg and
- 36:21Speaker 1: sixteen it's sixteen pieces. But his lifelong dream was to
- 36:25Speaker 1: ride in an ambulance and his friend wouldn't call it.
- 36:29Speaker 1: It was on his bucket list and he told him
- 36:31Speaker 1: to go to the hospital in the uber. What But
- 36:37Speaker 1: the guy worked, and the guy worked in medical billing
- 36:43Speaker 1: to his friend that he was suing. So basically, his
- 36:46Speaker 1: friend was like, you know, I'm help you out. We're
- 36:48Speaker 1: gonna get through this. So basically, because he worked in
- 36:50Speaker 1: medical billing, he didn't want him to have to pay
- 36:52Speaker 1: for all this. But so that's why he sued his
- 36:55Speaker 1: friend because he felt like he kind of pushed them.
- 36:58Speaker 1: The judge said he pushed them ushed right here because hey, man,
- 37:06Speaker 1: because I was looking at the way he was looking
- 37:08Speaker 1: at it, and I told, Hi, dog, you're lying, you know,
- 37:10Speaker 1: what I'm getting here with because that's what we do.
- 37:14Speaker 1: He crossed the street, he going real slow. He shoved
- 37:17Speaker 1: it now, he said, he said, he bumped up into him.
- 37:21Speaker 1: No dog, you pushed his ass to hell, you're talking
- 37:24Speaker 1: about you bumped up into him? No good here where
- 37:27Speaker 1: you pushed his ass because he was going too slow
- 37:29Speaker 1: across the street. Yes, so this Paul man broke his
- 37:33Speaker 1: legs anyway, to judge rule that the friend had to
- 37:37Speaker 1: pay him half of his medical business because the friend
- 37:40Speaker 1: felt like he shouldn't have to pay. So that was
- 37:43Speaker 1: the judge. That's the way he saw it. Just pushed
- 37:46Speaker 1: your podcast, pushed it. Did you say it like that? No,
- 37:52Speaker 1: he said him on his radio show. He did. Yeah. Okay.
- 37:57Speaker 1: So then in the second case, these two these two women,
- 38:01Speaker 1: they decided to have LiPo. So one friend loaned the
- 38:05Speaker 1: other friend some money to help her pay for all that.
- 38:08Speaker 1: So she didn't she took her time paying her back.
- 38:12Speaker 1: So Steve broke that down. You remember that, Steve. The
- 38:14Speaker 1: surgical sisters rush that down. A lot of cases, a
- 38:20Speaker 1: lot of cases, all right. And then the final case
- 38:22Speaker 1: was the wife sued the husband because she could not cook.
- 38:26Speaker 1: Miss Shirley strawberry. Well, her husband felt like she was
- 38:30Speaker 1: not a good cooker, and so she was suing him
- 38:33Speaker 1: because he would go to his mama's house and eat. Yeah.
- 38:39Speaker 1: Fine with that. Yeah, she broke out and start doing yoga.
- 38:44Speaker 1: In the middle of her testimony, she did, Steve say,
- 38:46Speaker 1: what are you doing? She said, protecting hers in because
- 38:50Speaker 1: ye yes, or anyone and you want Judge Steve to
- 39:03Speaker 1: settle the matter, apply at Judge Steve Harvey Casting dot com. Okay,
- 39:07Speaker 1: that's all you have to do, Judge Steve Harvey Casting
- 39:10Speaker 1: dot com and Steve will see you in courts. Coming
- 39:13Speaker 1: up at thirty four minutes after the hour, we'll have
- 39:15Speaker 1: more of a Steve Harvey Morning Show right after this.
- 39:18Speaker 1: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Well. Singer
- 39:23Speaker 1: and actress Selena Gomez says she has transformed her life
- 39:28Speaker 1: simply by spending years off the internet. The twenty nine
- 39:32Speaker 1: year old Selena was on Good Money at America earlier
- 39:35Speaker 1: this week and talked about her decision to stay offline.
- 39:39Speaker 1: Gomez said that her childhood stardom led her to the
- 39:42Speaker 1: decision to step away from scrolling through social media and
- 39:45Speaker 1: online surfing. Take a listen I haven't been on Aaron
- 39:49Speaker 1: Latin four and a half years. What does that do
- 39:52Speaker 1: to detox your life? It has changed my life completely.
- 39:57Speaker 1: I am happier, I am more present, I connect tomorrow
- 40:02Speaker 1: with people. It makes me feel normal. Wow. Uh. Selena
- 40:09Speaker 1: Gomez is one of the most followed stars on Instagram.
- 40:12Speaker 1: She has three hundred and nine million followers. She says
- 40:17Speaker 1: it ain't three million in America. Okay, well she has
- 40:22Speaker 1: to see how many she has over three hundred million. Yes,
- 40:26Speaker 1: she says she helps create the content for her fans,
- 40:29Speaker 1: but um, she does not post it herself. So here's
- 40:34Speaker 1: the question. Could you guys stay off social media for
- 40:37Speaker 1: four and a half years? You think, yeah, yeah, and
- 40:40Speaker 1: do you and do you miss it when you haven't
- 40:42Speaker 1: been on for a day or two? No? No, no,
- 40:49Speaker 1: away from it, you know. And yeah, Monica and I
- 40:51Speaker 1: were talking about that on the phone the other day.
- 40:53Speaker 1: You just got is I can't operate it. So what
- 40:59Speaker 1: do you mean I can't. I can't tell you how
- 41:01Speaker 1: to get it up on that line. I can't. I can't.
- 41:05Speaker 1: I gotta teach with people that do that. I don't
- 41:06Speaker 1: do none of that. I don't answer dms, none of that.
- 41:09Speaker 1: I don't. I don't know how to do none. Yeah,
- 41:11Speaker 1: I can't do anything. I think I'm looking forward to
- 41:13Speaker 1: the day when I don't participate in it at all,
- 41:18Speaker 1: and I'm slowly coming to that. Like, can I say
- 41:21Speaker 1: something about these fashion posts? I was just can I say, well,
- 41:25Speaker 1: mister fashions, you know, I don't really you know, Look,
- 41:28Speaker 1: every time I get dressed, my style is you know,
- 41:31Speaker 1: maids the stuff out and I put my stuff on
- 41:33Speaker 1: to wear. You know, I've been dressing for a long time.
- 41:36Speaker 1: I just started taking pictures. But I take the pictures
- 41:39Speaker 1: for him. Okay, you don't you know what I mean.
- 41:43Speaker 1: Times I've been getting dressed up without taking photos and
- 41:46Speaker 1: showing you what I wear. I've been doing that for years.
- 41:49Speaker 1: I do it for him, and it really does help
- 41:52Speaker 1: him where he's trying to go. He's starting to be recognized,
- 41:56Speaker 1: and so that that was standing there after I get dressed,
- 41:59Speaker 1: before I go out the door, taking the pictures for him.
- 42:01Speaker 1: We get in more fights about that because you don't
- 42:06Speaker 1: want to do it all the time. Oh girl, I
- 42:09Speaker 1: can't tell you how many pictures we don't have. I'm
- 42:14Speaker 1: telling you, man, because I don't like feeling that you know. Look,
- 42:19Speaker 1: I'll tell you what we got in the big argument
- 42:21Speaker 1: in Abu Dhabi. I got dressed, you know, running late
- 42:23Speaker 1: for a meeting. I gotta go to this meeting. I
- 42:25Speaker 1: get dressed walking to the door. Mister Harvey, we need pictures,
- 42:28Speaker 1: I said, I ain't got time for this, man. I
- 42:31Speaker 1: got a meeting to go too. But mister Harvey, I
- 42:33Speaker 1: need the pictures for this federation. Ask for the pictures
- 42:36Speaker 1: on this online magazine. Asked for some fresh looks that
- 42:40Speaker 1: no one's seen. Mister Harvey, and you buy these clothes,
- 42:44Speaker 1: you have these looks. Let's take these pictures. I said, Ellie,
- 42:47Speaker 1: I got to go to a meeting. I got a meeting.
- 42:51Speaker 1: But mister Hardy, we have to take the pictures. We
- 42:53Speaker 1: ain't over here to take pictures. We're over here from meetings. Man,
- 42:56Speaker 1: do you not understand if I don't go take these
- 42:59Speaker 1: meetings a picture of who? See the who I am
- 43:06Speaker 1: ain't in these pictures. The only reason they want a
- 43:10Speaker 1: picture now, it's cause of who I am. If I
- 43:13Speaker 1: wasn't who I was, you just kidding me with these pictures.
- 43:15Speaker 1: So and I'm gonna have him on the radio the
- 43:18Speaker 1: day that the one day to talk about that because
- 43:20Speaker 1: it's really wonderful for him in his career, and I
- 43:23Speaker 1: really support it. And he's a very very talented young guy.
- 43:26Speaker 1: He's a great guy. Fire I I can put my
- 43:32Speaker 1: clothes on the walk out the door like I've been
- 43:34Speaker 1: doing all these other damn years before you came alone. Boy,
- 43:40Speaker 1: I think I had some fire ass outfits on them before.
- 43:43Speaker 1: You just ain't take no damn picture. Yeah, that's why
- 43:47Speaker 1: you got the name blue Cheese, you know. But she's
- 43:52Speaker 1: been up for four and a half years and she
- 43:54Speaker 1: said her life is much better. She along with her mother,
- 43:57Speaker 1: talking about Selena Gomez and businesswoman another businesswoman who started
- 44:03Speaker 1: the mental the mental fitness company Wondermine to provide mental
- 44:07Speaker 1: health resources for free online. So there you go. Coming
- 44:11Speaker 1: up next, it is a nephew with the prank phone call.
- 44:13Speaker 1: Right after this, you're listening to the Stry Morning Show.
- 44:19Speaker 1: Coming up at about four minutes after the hour, it's
- 44:21Speaker 1: today's Strawberry letter. The subject is he and his brother
- 44:25Speaker 1: baby Mama. We'll get into that in just a few
- 44:31Speaker 1: but right now it is time for the nephew and
- 44:34Speaker 1: the prank phone call. Which you got, neph what you got? Well,
- 44:38Speaker 1: we just got through talking about young man who passed
- 44:41Speaker 1: away unfortunately, and he's deceased and and his I guess
- 44:46Speaker 1: his uh what was it called it? It's not a
- 44:48Speaker 1: funeral that was at the club. It was what was
- 44:50Speaker 1: it pretty much what do you call it? Home cetiontion?
- 44:55Speaker 1: It was a funeral. You just shocked by what it
- 44:57Speaker 1: looked like it was. And they had his body propped
- 45:02Speaker 1: up on the right. So this right here, it's Chopper's funeral,
- 45:12Speaker 1: Chopper's funeral. Let's see if there's in the type of
- 45:16Speaker 1: residentulus that's right. Here's Chopper's got dog if you would, Yeah,
- 45:24Speaker 1: I'm trying to reach your James, James James, Yeah, yeah,
- 45:28Speaker 1: what's up? Hey? This this is a gerald. Uh. I
- 45:32Speaker 1: was a friend of uh uh your your friend Chopper, yeah,
- 45:36Speaker 1: huh and Chopper just uh passed away last week? Right, Yeah?
- 45:43Speaker 1: I know they posed hall the funeral and stuff over
- 45:45Speaker 1: at uh at mom Baptist Church and uh, I don't
- 45:50Speaker 1: really know you, but me, me and me and Chopper
- 45:52Speaker 1: and a bunch of rest of was man. We used
- 45:53Speaker 1: to hang out at the club not too far from
- 45:56Speaker 1: the house. You know. That's pretty much with chopping Wood
- 45:58Speaker 1: all the time. At the club. Anyway, what a bunch
- 46:01Speaker 1: of us was over at the club talking, man, and
- 46:03Speaker 1: I was, we was really want to reach out to
- 46:06Speaker 1: one of the family members, you know, And then somebody
- 46:08Speaker 1: said you was, you know, kind of a good friend
- 46:10Speaker 1: of his. And when we we we we decided to
- 46:15Speaker 1: call you and see if you didn't mind. Do you
- 46:17Speaker 1: think that you can talk to some of the family
- 46:22Speaker 1: members and see if they don't mind having the funeral
- 46:28Speaker 1: at the club. At the club. See what, let me
- 46:32Speaker 1: let me try to explain something to you, Jane. What
- 46:36Speaker 1: we're trying to do is, see, we believe that we
- 46:38Speaker 1: believed at the club. Come on the club, there's a funeral.
- 46:44Speaker 1: That's what I understand it. But see, see Chop Choppa
- 46:48Speaker 1: ain't really go to church a whole lot, you know
- 46:50Speaker 1: what I'm saying. He didn't really really go long as
- 46:53Speaker 1: I've been knowing him. Now, he loved a lord and
- 46:55Speaker 1: stuff like that, I understand. But see Chopper wouldn't Chopper,
- 47:03Speaker 1: Chopper went to the club. So what I'm asking you is,
- 47:06Speaker 1: let's have the funeral at the club. Hell, no, bro,
- 47:10Speaker 1: come on, we can't have no funeral at no club. Man,
- 47:14Speaker 1: Come on, No, No, I can't but but what what
- 47:17Speaker 1: I'm saying is, though, is that he wasn't really he
- 47:21Speaker 1: wasn't really no church going person. I believe that a
- 47:24Speaker 1: person ought to be uh, the last words are to
- 47:28Speaker 1: be said over him in a place he's more familiar with.
- 47:32Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying? Player, player No, I don't.
- 47:35Speaker 1: I don't know what you mean. Player out. No, just
- 47:37Speaker 1: just gotta be a funeral. This is this is church
- 47:39Speaker 1: for I go to church, and all my folks go
- 47:41Speaker 1: to church. Now we we gotta do this thing up
- 47:43Speaker 1: in church. This is church thing. But you don't you
- 47:46Speaker 1: don't feel But do you understand where I'm coming from? No,
- 47:48Speaker 1: that man ought to going on and and the last
- 47:50Speaker 1: words are to be in a place he more familiar with. Now,
- 47:53Speaker 1: if he went to church, then I understand that you
- 47:56Speaker 1: see him? Bro Hell no, no, See, this is chance
- 48:00Speaker 1: itself right, and we're gonna we're gonna have them up
- 48:02Speaker 1: in church in front of everybody. You know that don't
- 48:06Speaker 1: make sense? Who's this again? I mean, who are you?
- 48:09Speaker 1: My name Gerald? But who is Gerald? I mean? How
- 48:12Speaker 1: do you? How do you relate to this? Are you preacher?
- 48:15Speaker 1: Are you no? No? Are you no? No? No, No,
- 48:18Speaker 1: I'm I'm I was friends with Chopper, and see I
- 48:20Speaker 1: hung out at the club and still hang out there
- 48:23Speaker 1: with a whole bunch of you know, was real good
- 48:26Speaker 1: friends with Chopping, and we were saying that, you know,
- 48:29Speaker 1: Chopper's the last words about Chopper are to be said
- 48:32Speaker 1: at the club, because see that's what Chopper would. But
- 48:34Speaker 1: five six days a week, that's what Chopper was. But
- 48:38Speaker 1: what church are you affiliated with? I mean, what, what?
- 48:40Speaker 1: Why the hell? What I I try to talk to
- 48:43Speaker 1: the family, make me look stupid in front of the family,
- 48:46Speaker 1: telling them to put the thing in a club? How
- 48:48Speaker 1: do that gonna go off? Well? See, see that's what
- 48:51Speaker 1: I'm saying. You know him way more than we do,
- 48:53Speaker 1: because see that you're talking about trying to move from
- 48:56Speaker 1: a damn funeral add a church to a damn nightclub
- 48:59Speaker 1: or strip club something. No, no, no strip club, just
- 49:01Speaker 1: a nightclub, same, ain't it? I mean you talking about
- 49:05Speaker 1: having folks travel from across the country and meeting in
- 49:09Speaker 1: the damn club. What kind of that? But that's what
- 49:12Speaker 1: Chopper was. That's what Chopper was. I'm gonna look, if
- 49:16Speaker 1: I'm the one telling them to rooted to the damn club,
- 49:19Speaker 1: you're gonna look like somebody that's trying to I'm gonna
- 49:21Speaker 1: look like a fool. No, you're not. You're gonna look
- 49:24Speaker 1: like somebody that's trying to keep it real. Come to
- 49:26Speaker 1: the damn funeral if I will to do something like that. Okay, okay,
- 49:29Speaker 1: let me ask you this, Hi, Then let me ask
- 49:31Speaker 1: you this, Hill or Jane? Do you think do you
- 49:34Speaker 1: think you can maybe get the body and bring it
- 49:37Speaker 1: over to the club. No, well, I'm just saying before
- 49:42Speaker 1: they even do the funeral or whatever. You know, I
- 49:45Speaker 1: ain't touching getting the walk in the dog by my
- 49:51Speaker 1: body for him. Now, we're just trying to say our
- 49:53Speaker 1: last words at Chopper Man in a place that Chopper No,
- 49:57Speaker 1: Hilma again, who the you? You get my number? Somebody
- 50:01Speaker 1: at the club had your numbers, said you was print.
- 50:04Speaker 1: But why do y'all call me? Of all folks, y'all
- 50:08Speaker 1: called me. They say you good. You in with the family,
- 50:10Speaker 1: and you can tell me with the family. But I
- 50:12Speaker 1: ain't end in the family. Make me look stupid. Hell,
- 50:15Speaker 1: no'all won't y'all. I get y'all of them to the family.
- 50:19Speaker 1: Y'all call the family, y'all tell them that yourself. Man,
- 50:22Speaker 1: I won't. I just want trying to get you to
- 50:23Speaker 1: brain the body by man and let us no, I
- 50:26Speaker 1: ain't touching no dead body. We just want to have
- 50:29Speaker 1: one last drink with Chopper. Man, you have one with
- 50:31Speaker 1: your boys and you you get together with them and
- 50:35Speaker 1: y'all talk about bottom and let him know how Chopper
- 50:39Speaker 1: what kind of prisoning was? What kind of prison? But
- 50:41Speaker 1: we need to we won't chop up to be there
- 50:43Speaker 1: this Chopper, This is Chopper you talking about? Man, Bring
- 50:46Speaker 1: y'all to the church. Y'all need to be up in
- 50:50Speaker 1: the church. We want to have a Chopper at the club. Well,
- 50:53Speaker 1: we didn't know them all, man, y'all fuller, well we
- 50:56Speaker 1: know have looking like a food letter. Damn what this
- 51:01Speaker 1: about Chopper? Though? And write it about Chopper? You break
- 51:04Speaker 1: Chopper to that club, y'all tripping, man, I ain't doing
- 51:08Speaker 1: I'm just going to this funeral. I'm gonna care to
- 51:10Speaker 1: say of what I think about Chopping And I'm moving tone.
- 51:13Speaker 1: If y'all want to clays in front of time of
- 51:15Speaker 1: y'all call the family, y'all selling you this. Look, I
- 51:18Speaker 1: got one more thing I want to say. I don't
- 51:21Speaker 1: even know you what what what this is nephew tim
- 51:25Speaker 1: Me from the Steve Harvey Morning Show. You just got
- 51:28Speaker 1: pranked by your board. This nephew Timmy, man from the

- 51:50Speaker 1: don't play out. Oh man, I can't believe this. No,
- 51:55Speaker 1: he didn't. I can't even believe he did that. Hey man,
- 51:58Speaker 1: I got one more thing to ask you, man, what
- 52:01Speaker 1: is what is the baddest radio show in the land,
- 52:05Speaker 1: The Steve Hardy Moaning Show that was a hang up
- 52:16Speaker 1: when he wasn't really talking to you. Ain't gonna call
- 52:20Speaker 1: this blanket the blank phone with this blank man my
- 52:24Speaker 1: favorite thing. When you told him to go and get
- 52:26Speaker 1: the body and brain down there, he said, Man, I'm
- 52:29Speaker 1: scared to walk in the duve by myself. I showed
- 52:34Speaker 1: the hill ain't gonna get no damn about it. Ain't moving.

- 53:50Speaker 1: About that? How about that? Buckle up and hold on type.
- 53:54Speaker 1: We got it for you here. It is Strawberry Letter.
- 53:57Speaker 1: Subject he and his brother's baby mama. Stephen Shirley. I
- 54:01Speaker 1: was married for eleven years and we had two daughters.
- 54:05Speaker 1: The last three years of our marriage, he messed with
- 54:07Speaker 1: his brother's baby mother and she got pregnant. His brother
- 54:12Speaker 1: has two sons by this woman, and my husband is
- 54:14Speaker 1: the godfather of both of his brother's sons. His brother
- 54:18Speaker 1: left her after he caught her in bed with another
- 54:22Speaker 1: man at their house. She started popping up at our
- 54:25Speaker 1: house to talk to my husband, and I always assumed
- 54:29Speaker 1: it was to talk about his brother's dumping her. I
- 54:32Speaker 1: invited her over for Thanksgiving in twenty twenty and she
- 54:35Speaker 1: pulled my husband aside to talk to him, and I
- 54:38Speaker 1: let them talk. She got very upset and was crying.
- 54:41Speaker 1: Then she got I rate and started pointing her finger
- 54:45Speaker 1: forcibly forcefully into my husband's head. He pulled her close
- 54:50Speaker 1: to comfort her, and I still did not get involved.
- 54:54Speaker 1: This sort of thing happened four more times, and she
- 54:56Speaker 1: was always very upset when she came to my house.
- 55:00Speaker 1: Figured she must still be suffering from the breakup, so
- 55:02Speaker 1: I stayed out of it. Then, earlier this year, my
- 55:06Speaker 1: husband got a letter from our local child support office.
- 55:09Speaker 1: And I opened the letter and it said he is
- 55:12Speaker 1: the father of a baby girl, and it listed his
- 55:15Speaker 1: brother's baby mama as the mother. I started snooping. Yeah,
- 55:19Speaker 1: I started snooping through his drawers and I found DNA
- 55:24Speaker 1: test results hidden in a cigar box in his junk drawer.
- 55:28Speaker 1: This woman mysteriously had a baby, and I had no
- 55:31Speaker 1: idea she was pregnant. I sent a picture of the
- 55:34Speaker 1: DNA results to my husband's brother and he responded that
- 55:37Speaker 1: he's known about them for three years because he caught
- 55:40Speaker 1: them in the act. I felt so lost and stupid.
- 55:46Speaker 1: Their daughter is two years old, and this woman wants
- 55:48Speaker 1: my kids to meet their sister, and she wants to
- 55:52Speaker 1: clear the air with me. Should I forgive her and
- 55:55Speaker 1: move on or keep ignoring her forever? All right? Give
- 56:00Speaker 1: them for sure, forgive her, not for them, not for her,
- 56:04Speaker 1: but because forgiveness it is for you to be free
- 56:06Speaker 1: to move on with your life. But anything else, all
- 56:10Speaker 1: bets are off. Keep ignoring her forever, all right? And
- 56:15Speaker 1: don't you ever be that trusting to anyone again. You
- 56:19Speaker 1: saw what was going on, You didn't think for a
- 56:21Speaker 1: second that you know. I mean, I get that she
- 56:25Speaker 1: was distraught over her brother, but her pointing her finger
- 56:27Speaker 1: at his forehead and your husband pulling her close to him,
- 56:31Speaker 1: all that's in your letter. I can't believe you didn't
- 56:34Speaker 1: suspect something was going on between them with all the
- 56:37Speaker 1: stuff they were doing. I mean, maybe because it was
- 56:41Speaker 1: done in your face and not behind your back. You
- 56:43Speaker 1: didn't think that they would be doing what they were doing.
- 56:47Speaker 1: I just don't know too many women, including myself, who
- 56:49Speaker 1: would have allowed them to carry on like they were
- 56:52Speaker 1: carrying on in front of you. So I'm gonna need
- 56:55Speaker 1: you to get mad, you know, do something I just asked,
- 57:01Speaker 1: keep ignoring her forever. You know, it's okay to forgive,
- 57:05Speaker 1: but you shouldn't forget or clear the air with her
- 57:08Speaker 1: like she wants to do if you choose not to, Okay,
- 57:12Speaker 1: do what's best for you and your children, your family. Okay,
- 57:17Speaker 1: keep her out of it. She's trashed at this point
- 57:19Speaker 1: as far as I'm concerned. What she did to you
- 57:22Speaker 1: and her husband Steve the most confusing damn letter of
- 57:30Speaker 1: the yell. I don't know. Surely, I can't make no
- 57:35Speaker 1: sense of this. I've been trying to find the turning points,
- 57:40Speaker 1: but the whole letters a turning point. Lady was married
- 57:42Speaker 1: for eleven years with a husband. They got two daughters,
- 57:48Speaker 1: but then the last three years of the marriage he
- 57:50Speaker 1: messed with his brother's babies and mama and she got pregnant.
- 57:56Speaker 1: His brother has two two sons by this woman, and
- 58:02Speaker 1: my husband is the godfather or both of his brother's son.
- 58:08Speaker 1: Wait a minute, Wait a minute. If this is your
- 58:13Speaker 1: brother and he got two children, what is you the godfather?
- 58:18Speaker 1: For you the uncle? You're the uncle? See these this
- 58:24Speaker 1: family love giving titles. Now his brother left her, He
- 58:31Speaker 1: left her baby mama after he caught her and dad
- 58:33Speaker 1: with another man at their house. Who is these men
- 58:37Speaker 1: that covid these other men's houses? Man, I just don't
- 58:40Speaker 1: understand that. I don't know why more of these ain't
- 58:42Speaker 1: winding up in deaths. She started popping up at our
- 58:46Speaker 1: house to talk to my husband, and I always sooned
- 58:51Speaker 1: it was to talk about his brother dumping her. But
- 58:55Speaker 1: now let me say this though. Could it be the
- 59:00Speaker 1: way this letter's written when she said her brother left
- 59:03Speaker 1: her after he caught her in bed with another man
- 59:06Speaker 1: to day house. Could the other man have been his brother? Well? No,
- 59:11Speaker 1: I think that that was an additional man, Steve, because
- 59:14Speaker 1: lower in the letter he said he's known about we'll
- 59:18Speaker 1: find out. I invited over for Thanksgiving in twenty twenty.
- 59:23Speaker 1: She pulled my husband to decide to talk to him,
- 59:25Speaker 1: and I let him talk. She got upset and was crying,
- 59:27Speaker 1: and she got out right and started pouring her finger
- 59:30Speaker 1: forcefully into my husband's head. You know how they'd be
- 59:33Speaker 1: tapping on your head like what you ain't ain't nobody
- 59:37Speaker 1: fun do that that to me in front of Margie. Okay,
- 59:43Speaker 1: I don't know any woman alive none quarter what is
- 59:46Speaker 1: she tapping? So that's kind of crazy. And I still
- 59:52Speaker 1: didn't get get involved. This sort of thing happened full
- 59:55Speaker 1: more times, and she was always upset when she came
- 59:58Speaker 1: to my house. I figured she must steal be suffering
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: from the breakup, so I stayed out about how stupid
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: are you? Well, she said that she's so stupid. All right,
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: we're talking a lot to come back, all right. Part
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: two of Steve's response coming up at twenty three minutes
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: after be our today's Strawberry letter, subject he and his
- 1:00:19Speaker 1: brother's baby mama. We'll get back into it right after this.
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: You're listening, all right, Come on, Steve, Let's recap today's
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: Strawberry letter. The subject he and his brother's baby mama.
- 1:00:32Speaker 1: This regga so confused ter. It's the letter Sherley. Let
- 1:00:40Speaker 1: me don't even know the damn people mess right here.
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: This lady married to her husband, they got two kids
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: and then uh. Later three years, the last three years
- 1:00:50Speaker 1: of the marriage, he messed with his brother's baby's mama
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: and she got pregnant. His brother got two sons by
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: this woman, and my husband is the godfather to both
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: his brother's son. You ain't uncle. You're a damn uncle.
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: You legally everything. You they't uncle. You don't need no
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: extra title. His brother left her because he caught her
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: in bed with another man at the house. And then
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: she started popping up at our house to talk to
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: my husband. Always assumed he was to talk about his
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: brother dumping her. I'm telling you, Shirley, I think you
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: got the man he caught in bed with her is
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: his brother. Because right after that she kept coming to
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: the house. Yeah, mad every time she come to the house.
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: Right after that, then they say I invited over the
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: Thanksgiving twenty twenty, she pulled my husband aside to talk
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: to him. I let him talk. She got up, setting
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: was crying. Then she got out right and she started
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: pointing her finger forcefully in my husband's head. Not damn
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: because his brother found you in bed with another man,
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: or because he found you in bed and the other
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: man was his damn brother. And I got starting up
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: to starting to put it together for myself. Here now, Shirley,
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: I didn't get involved. This sort of thing happened full
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: more times, and she was always upset when she came
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: to the house. I figured she must be still suffering
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: from the breakup, so I stayed out. And she was
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: something from the breakup because your husband was to cause
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: her the breakup because he got caught in his brother's
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: house in that bed. That's what I believe this letter
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: is really all about. Then, earlier this year, my husband
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: got a letter from our local child support office. I
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: opened the letter and they said he was the father
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: of a baby girl and it was listed his brother's
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: baby's mama, asked the mother. I started snooper through his
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: drawers and I found DNA test rezone hiding in a
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: cigar box. That's what really, Why is she putting this
- 1:02:44Speaker 1: in a cigar box? You put this in a cigar box?
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: Trop see now people like me ass got tight. Now
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: my ass tight because it's in a cigar box. Immediately
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: I go to myself and how many cigar boxes I got.
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: I can't think of what important and put in the
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: damn cigar box in about you? Anyway, this woman misterily
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: had a baby and I had no idea she was pranknant. Oh.
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: I sent a picture to DNA results to my husband's
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: brother and he responded that he's known about them for
- 1:03:19Speaker 1: three years because he caught them in the act. It
- 1:03:23Speaker 1: was his brother that he walked in and saw in
- 1:03:26Speaker 1: the bed with his woman three years ago. She stayed
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: away and had this baby, but every time she came
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: over she was mad at him. I felt so lost
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: and stupid. They daughter two years old. This woman wants
- 1:03:42Speaker 1: my kids to meet their sister, and she wants to
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: clear the ad with me. Should I forgive her and
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: move on and keep it knowing her felver where? You
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: can't forgive her? But this is the most confusing mess.
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: I really ain't got nothing for her no more. Hellfel
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: and my biggest thing like his What is we finn
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: to call these kids? Because he not even if they meet?
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: What is we finn to call these kids? Right here?
- 1:04:08Speaker 1: Mama's these are cousins, Mamas, these are brothers and sisters.
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: Know they're not it's they our aunts. No, no, baby,
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: they're not your aunts. It's these are cousins in laws? Na,
- 1:04:24Speaker 1: they not? What is they mama, is these are nothing
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: laws are nothing? Lost Mama? What is we gonna call
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: these damn kids? Your husband slept with his brothers baby, mama.
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: The brother called them. You found the DNA report, send
- 1:04:46Speaker 1: it to his brother to say, hey, on this DNA report,
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: this listing my husband who is your brother as the
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: daddy of your baby, mama's baby. He ain't surprised because
- 1:04:59Speaker 1: he all about it. So what kind of help she want?
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: She I really thought it was two different men. But
- 1:05:07Speaker 1: she says she felt so lost and stupid that yeah,
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: she should feel that way. I think it's sognoring what's
- 1:05:14Speaker 1: going on in front of her eyes. Why are we held?
- 1:05:18Speaker 1: Who do you trust in this story? You can't trust
- 1:05:21Speaker 1: your brother in law? Yeah, he held to the code
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: with his brother, and she nobody told you nothing right?
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: And then she's she's considering forgiving this woman and moving
- 1:05:34Speaker 1: and moving on, or to keep ignoring her forever. That's
- 1:05:40Speaker 1: her issue. None of this is what you said made
- 1:05:43Speaker 1: since you could forgive a cause. Forgiveness is for you,
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: not the other person. But to forgive don't mean to forget, right.
- 1:05:51Speaker 1: You don't have to set yourself back up in the
- 1:05:53Speaker 1: line of fire, just because you forgave somebody. Yes, Tommy,
- 1:05:57Speaker 1: I see, can't you forgive as you walking out to
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: do with all your stuff? Can't you forgiving? She can
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: keep ignoring her forever. What I'm not fit to do
- 1:06:10Speaker 1: is sit here and deal with this mess. Now. The
- 1:06:13Speaker 1: kids are gonna have to know each other eventually, because
- 1:06:16Speaker 1: that's baby. All right, we gotta go please us, all right, Look,

- 1:09:37Speaker 1: love letter to someone? We'll tell you who did, and
- 1:09:40Speaker 1: it might be a bit shocking. Right after this, you're
- 1:09:43Speaker 1: listening to Steve, your favorite rapper. Tupac Shakur's love life
- 1:09:53Speaker 1: is the source of endless fascination. We know that, and
- 1:09:55Speaker 1: who would have thought that he wrote love letters to
- 1:09:57Speaker 1: his high school sweetheart when he was just seventeen years old.
- 1:10:02Speaker 1: In a Southeast auction titled The Art and Influence of
- 1:10:05Speaker 1: Hip Hop, Tupac's love letters to Kosima Inez were auctioned
- 1:10:11Speaker 1: off for thousands of dollars each. Kosima was a sophomore
- 1:10:15Speaker 1: at his high school in California. This is after he
- 1:10:18Speaker 1: moved from Baltimore, and in the letters, m Pac revealed
- 1:10:22Speaker 1: his deep love for her. All of the letters were
- 1:10:25Speaker 1: signed at the end with thinking of you eternally, your friend,
- 1:10:29Speaker 1: Tupac Shakur Pac was a romantic at a very early age. Okay,
- 1:10:35Speaker 1: so here's a question for you, guys. Did you ever
- 1:10:39Speaker 1: write love letters to your high school sweetheart or to
- 1:10:42Speaker 1: women period? I mean, do you think, say four dollars now?
- 1:10:45Speaker 1: Oh yes he did? Hell yeah? How what did you write?
- 1:10:51Speaker 1: I leave this segregation? You ain't write a little letters
- 1:10:56Speaker 1: stamps on about licked him trying and hopes that this
- 1:10:58Speaker 1: girl would want me back. You dropped stuff off. And
- 1:11:04Speaker 1: I'll tell you one of the deepest things I did
- 1:11:06Speaker 1: was I was senior in high school. Man I wanted
- 1:11:10Speaker 1: this girl man so bad. I wrote the lyrics to
- 1:11:13Speaker 1: Devotion by Earth Winning Fire on a poster board, rolled
- 1:11:19Speaker 1: it up, put it in my I tucked my T
- 1:11:22Speaker 1: shirt in my pants, put it in the back of
- 1:11:24Speaker 1: my T shirt like a like a boring arrow case.
- 1:11:27Speaker 1: And got on my bike and rode over to her
- 1:11:29Speaker 1: house and rode them down the street till she came
- 1:11:32Speaker 1: out on the porch and jes because you ain't no
- 1:11:35Speaker 1: way of calling her, you know, So rode them down
- 1:11:38Speaker 1: the street till she came out. I got off my
- 1:11:40Speaker 1: bike and handed it to her. She unrolled it on
- 1:11:43Speaker 1: the thing and read the whole or the whole lyrics
- 1:11:46Speaker 1: to devotion. Oh did she cry? Or yeah? She cried? Yeah,
- 1:11:52Speaker 1: when the father came out on the porch and put
- 1:11:54Speaker 1: my ass off the porch, you get your punk ass
- 1:11:56Speaker 1: off the boat. This is before social media. What about
- 1:12:07Speaker 1: your nephew love letter? Definitely high school sweetheart wrote it
- 1:12:12Speaker 1: walked to school, sweetheart. Love was so brand new, And
- 1:12:18Speaker 1: as my grandmama said, my nose was wide open. If
- 1:12:25Speaker 1: you ain't had your nose wide open, you ain't lived.
- 1:12:29Speaker 1: Come on, man, junior, no we I'm three generations from
- 1:12:35Speaker 1: three funk. That's two fun We over here texted, I
- 1:12:38Speaker 1: made I made cassette tapes. That's what I had. I
- 1:12:43Speaker 1: had that. I listened to quiet store Press playing Paul
- 1:12:46Speaker 1: who you record the song? Then you pausing dog. That's
- 1:12:49Speaker 1: what I had to do. But love letters. We had
- 1:12:52Speaker 1: technology by this time, a little bit of it. Yeah.
- 1:12:57Speaker 1: We was paying paper boy. Yeah, y'all were paying a
- 1:12:59Speaker 1: paper damn their pony expressed with my bike. He yeah,
- 1:13:07Speaker 1: delive it, my damn self. I wait on the three
- 1:13:09Speaker 1: days and you know, and mail. It took three days,
- 1:13:11Speaker 1: even locally, three days to get to somebody's house. Locally,
- 1:13:15Speaker 1: you had to write a letter. Man, I ain't got
- 1:13:17Speaker 1: no time for this here. I got to ride this
- 1:13:18Speaker 1: over there. Yeah. Yeah, yeah, I had pony expressed me
- 1:13:23Speaker 1: and that bike man I had. I wrote. I wrote
- 1:13:25Speaker 1: a girl a letter one time, man, and I you know,
- 1:13:29Speaker 1: I just wanted her to like me. I drove it
- 1:13:31Speaker 1: over the house and put it in there, uh uh mailbox,
- 1:13:35Speaker 1: and I'm riding up the street and then I come
- 1:13:38Speaker 1: back down the hill just to see and uh she
- 1:13:41Speaker 1: would had reached out there and pulled it, let out
- 1:13:46Speaker 1: the mailbox, didn't even open it and just tow it
- 1:13:48Speaker 1: in hand. O. Man. That broke my heart, manbreaking, yeah,
- 1:13:57Speaker 1: he yeah, I had to write it. On there you know.
- 1:13:59Speaker 1: Oh okay, you know, got put it in the mail
- 1:14:01Speaker 1: but I gotta make sure her Mama, dadda, don't get it,
- 1:14:05Speaker 1: have a name on and everything. She as soon as
- 1:14:07Speaker 1: I came back down the hill, I said, man, she
- 1:14:09Speaker 1: reached in the mailbox to get it. She pulled it
- 1:14:11Speaker 1: out the mailbox and tow it in head. All right,
- 1:14:16Speaker 1: look at your sharing. We didn't who knew you guys
- 1:14:19Speaker 1: were so romantic coming up at twenty minutes after the hour.
- 1:14:23Speaker 1: If you hate your facial features selfies, maybe the blame
- 1:14:28Speaker 1: who We'll get into that right after this. You're listening show,
- 1:14:35Speaker 1: all right, So if you're feeling down about your looks,
- 1:14:38Speaker 1: maybe you need to take a break from taking selfies.
- 1:14:41Speaker 1: A new study from the American Society of Plastic Surgeons
- 1:14:44Speaker 1: found that selfies just sort distort sizes and perceptions of
- 1:14:49Speaker 1: our facial features. No matter how well you pose or
- 1:14:52Speaker 1: angle on your phone, selfies can make anyone's nose look
- 1:14:56Speaker 1: bigger than it really is. And there, and there's a
- 1:15:00Speaker 1: direct correlation with the fact that the number he dives
- 1:15:05Speaker 1: in first every time. What happened? What happened? To see? Ready, no,
- 1:15:11Speaker 1: you ain't see look around all my Instagram. You don't
- 1:15:13Speaker 1: see no selfies. Hey, no, I don't care how I
- 1:15:19Speaker 1: hold this camera. This damn nose look like the rooftop
- 1:15:25Speaker 1: of a stadium. I don't give a damn what. It
- 1:15:30Speaker 1: looked like the Mercedis Stadium. You look like the AT
- 1:15:34Speaker 1: and T Stadium in Dallas. It looked like the Mad
- 1:15:37Speaker 1: Life Boy selfie. Right now, Steve, let me see, I
- 1:15:43Speaker 1: ain't gonna lie to you. Can't do it. Okay, we'll
- 1:15:47Speaker 1: look at it like he actually doing it right now?
- 1:15:52Speaker 1: Talk to you, cute nephew, Steve. Oh, I'm sexist here
- 1:15:55Speaker 1: when I take man, let me see yourselfie posting girl,

- 1:16:22Speaker 1: is time now to play a round of would you rather?
- 1:16:25Speaker 1: Would you rather? Guys, would you rather? Star as James
- 1:16:29Speaker 1: Bond or Michael Carlyone Corleon? James Bond or Michael Corleone
- 1:16:37Speaker 1: Carlyon What how the god Father were you your hot head.
- 1:16:44Speaker 1: You more like, ain't nobody following name and everybody gonna
- 1:16:53Speaker 1: had all the families? Yes, yeah, you like Junior said
- 1:17:01Speaker 1: you could be boss baby something like that, but you
- 1:17:05Speaker 1: ain't going to be Him's sunny the brother. Remember he
- 1:17:11Speaker 1: was a hothead. Family of the cor Leons. Yeah, nobody
- 1:17:19Speaker 1: James Bond because you know there's talk they might put
- 1:17:22Speaker 1: a brother in that row. Come on, reggae. No, I
- 1:17:26Speaker 1: ain't got bon what I ain't got body? No more,
- 1:17:30Speaker 1: I can't run, I can't through it. I'na would you be?
- 1:17:34Speaker 1: I'm not going to hang on the edge and a
- 1:17:36Speaker 1: helicopter blade. And because that opening scene is ten minutes, man,
- 1:17:48Speaker 1: this is how to go. No, this is how to go. Yeah,
- 1:17:54Speaker 1: rock that wardrobe on? Got on? That's all that's double

- 1:18:05Speaker 1: All right? You're done with that one? All right? Would
- 1:18:09Speaker 1: you rather all your text messages get leaked, all your

- 1:18:31Speaker 1: can't what I said to somebody. No, not the stuff
- 1:18:35Speaker 1: I've said. It cost you a career. Okay, Yes, Tommy,
- 1:18:45Speaker 1: I'm with him, a right one. All right, Let's keep
- 1:18:51Speaker 1: with the phone theme here. Would you rather your phone
- 1:18:53Speaker 1: ringer make porn sounds or belching sounds? Belch? What is
- 1:19:00Speaker 1: pawing sounds the poem? Huh? What is pawing sounds? Yeah? Sounds? Okay,
- 1:19:10Speaker 1: moaning and groaning and all you know, just oh ah,
- 1:19:13Speaker 1: you know all that stuff you know, Oh, and that's

- 1:19:35Speaker 1: break of the day, coming up at forty nine minutes
- 1:19:37Speaker 1: after the hour, and of course we'll have some closing
- 1:19:39Speaker 1: remarks from the one and only Steve Harvey right after this.
- 1:19:42Speaker 1: You're listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, guys,
- 1:19:46Speaker 1: here we are. This is Wednesday, hump day. It's been
- 1:19:50Speaker 1: a good day. Huh, yes, today, yes, week. If we
- 1:19:56Speaker 1: get the humps and day is gonna being better. I
- 1:19:59Speaker 1: just say anything. Do you run it through a filter once?
- 1:20:03Speaker 1: You get past fifes, say what you want to say,
- 1:20:07Speaker 1: that's the age. I'm gonna tell you right now that
- 1:20:11Speaker 1: ain't true. Why you say that did? Because the consequences
- 1:20:18Speaker 1: more diet. The older you get, the more diet of
- 1:20:21Speaker 1: the consequences. Yeah. That's one of the things I've really
- 1:20:23Speaker 1: tried to teach my children. I said, Look, man, I
- 1:20:26Speaker 1: ain't gonna have to keep giving you these punishments and sprinking.
- 1:20:29Speaker 1: I said, because life gonna take over in a minute.
- 1:20:31Speaker 1: Oh Dad, What you mean by that? I say, because
- 1:20:33Speaker 1: the older you get your decisions, you make the consequences
- 1:20:36Speaker 1: or more diet or older you get. Yeah, everything is
- 1:20:40Speaker 1: at steak. Yeah. I saw a T shirt Steve that
- 1:20:45Speaker 1: said the dumbest thing I ever did growing up was
- 1:20:47Speaker 1: the dumbest thing I ever did. Man. Ye man, And
- 1:20:52Speaker 1: when you're little, that's all you want to do is
- 1:20:54Speaker 1: grow up, yeah, man, not realizing that growing up come
- 1:21:00Speaker 1: with everything that that is being a grown up. The
- 1:21:04Speaker 1: sad part of it is is when you rush the process. Yeah,
- 1:21:08Speaker 1: and you're an adult way longer than you're a kid,
- 1:21:11Speaker 1: way man now and man, and you be sitting up
- 1:21:17Speaker 1: doing stuff as a younger person because you you think
- 1:21:21Speaker 1: you ready for it now. Oh no you're not. Oh
- 1:21:24Speaker 1: no you're not, because you don't have the life experience
- 1:21:28Speaker 1: to deal with decisions. You. I want a baby now, Okay, Yeah,
- 1:21:31Speaker 1: you might want the baby now, but I'm not sure
- 1:21:34Speaker 1: you're gonna want all that come with the baby. Yeah,
- 1:21:37Speaker 1: if you end up with the baby, you're gonna find
- 1:21:39Speaker 1: out quickly because the requirements of that baby they not
- 1:21:44Speaker 1: they don't lessen, they do not lessen. They come full package,
- 1:21:49Speaker 1: ready out the dope. I need everything. I remember in school.
- 1:21:59Speaker 1: I remember in school that made us carry a raw
- 1:22:01Speaker 1: egg around for a whole day. This, you know what
- 1:22:05Speaker 1: I'm saying. This is symbolic of being a baby and
- 1:22:07Speaker 1: see them you can take care of it. I dropped
- 1:22:09Speaker 1: that egg so many damn turn I'm not. I am
- 1:22:14Speaker 1: not ready for that left it left him a locker up,
- 1:22:18Speaker 1: you know, the baby, all of that right in your defense.
- 1:22:28Speaker 1: You're a great dad right now, Oh my god, yes
- 1:22:31Speaker 1: you are. I'm a great dad right now. Haven't always
- 1:22:36Speaker 1: been a great dad because I went through the process differently,
- 1:22:43Speaker 1: you know, and I had to grow into this man
- 1:22:46Speaker 1: that I am. And that's why I talked to me
- 1:22:48Speaker 1: and all the time about look man, you just got
- 1:22:52Speaker 1: a gold and throw yourself into this thing called fatherhood
- 1:22:55Speaker 1: head first. And you got to get about the business.
- 1:22:59Speaker 1: Because if you don't take on the responsibility of being
- 1:23:03Speaker 1: a father, ain't a lot of good fit to come
- 1:23:06Speaker 1: your way. Man, It's just not a lot of good.
- 1:23:10Speaker 1: And I want to encourage men out there to day,
- 1:23:13Speaker 1: if you have made a child, get active in your
- 1:23:16Speaker 1: child's life. I know it's challenging. I know you may
- 1:23:21Speaker 1: not be where you want to be, but has nothing
- 1:23:23Speaker 1: to do with your abilities to be a father. Your
- 1:23:27Speaker 1: ability to be a father encompasses things that don't cost
- 1:23:30Speaker 1: you money, time, guidance, and love. Time, guidance and love.
- 1:23:40Speaker 1: That's your responsibility. You don't have to have money to
- 1:23:43Speaker 1: do that. Get over there and see them kids, spend
- 1:23:46Speaker 1: some time with them. Tell them what you've learned, share
- 1:23:50Speaker 1: the mistakes you've made, let them know if you could
- 1:23:52Speaker 1: do it differently, you would have. But now that I'm here,
- 1:23:55Speaker 1: let me just start from who I am right now,
- 1:23:58Speaker 1: I've had to have these compensations, and so as fathers,
- 1:24:03Speaker 1: I'm encouraging all men today to step up to the plate.
- 1:24:07Speaker 1: Hey man, I'm sorry, I have no other way I
- 1:24:09Speaker 1: can put it be a man. Step up to the plate,
- 1:24:13Speaker 1: forward your way through these attitudes with these baby mamas
- 1:24:17Speaker 1: and all this here get you gotta get past that. Now.
- 1:24:21Speaker 1: The women out there that is using the children as palms,
- 1:24:24Speaker 1: you wrong like two left shoes. And because a man
- 1:24:28Speaker 1: ain't paid child support, you should not stop him from
- 1:24:30Speaker 1: seeing his child. Because he ain't he behind on child support.
- 1:24:34Speaker 1: That punishment you're issuing to him is costing your child
- 1:24:39Speaker 1: even more deally, and quit trying to be the issuer
- 1:24:43Speaker 1: of punishment. It ain't your job. God got this thing
- 1:24:47Speaker 1: all taken care of. And I'm telling you right now,
- 1:24:49Speaker 1: as a man, you've got to step up to the
- 1:24:52Speaker 1: plate and take care of your responsibility. It's yours, and
- 1:24:55Speaker 1: yours your responsibility is not gonna lessen. God, don't let
- 1:24:59Speaker 1: us off the hook from being fathers. He don't okay,
- 1:25:03Speaker 1: Well you didn't get it right, Get it right. All
- 1:25:06Speaker 1: you was going through a bad time, so you ain't
- 1:25:09Speaker 1: the only one. Get over there and be a man,
- 1:25:15Speaker 1: get a presence in your child's life. Start if you
- 1:25:19Speaker 1: got to start with the woman, start with the woman. Look,
- 1:25:21Speaker 1: I'm sorry, I know I'm behind on these child support payments.
- 1:25:24Speaker 1: I just ain't got it. But man, I would love
- 1:25:27Speaker 1: to see my son. I would love to see my daughter.
- 1:25:31Speaker 1: I would love to be active in their life. Just
- 1:25:33Speaker 1: let me take them to school sometimes. Let me pick
- 1:25:35Speaker 1: them up, man, Let me take them to the park.
- 1:25:37Speaker 1: Can I keep them overnight? You know? Can I stay there?
- 1:25:41Speaker 1: Can I sleep in the other rooms? Something? But man,
- 1:25:45Speaker 1: it's time for me to do my duty. Be a man.
- 1:25:49Speaker 1: Get over there and get yourself active in these children's lives.
- 1:25:52Speaker 1: And mothers. Stop blocking these men from having access to
- 1:25:57Speaker 1: their children over a child support check or the fact
- 1:26:01Speaker 1: that you don't like him. You're hurting your child. Those
- 1:26:03Speaker 1: are my closing remarks today. I should have started this
- 1:26:06Speaker 1: earlier because I got so much more to say. Part
- 1:26:09Speaker 1: two tomorrow, Nasi and Jenner talked to God today. He
- 1:26:12Speaker 1: loved to hear from Part two. For all Steve Every contests,
