- 2:03Speaker 1: morning everybody. Y'all listening to the voice, come on digging now,
- 2:09Speaker 1: One and only Steve Harvey got a radio show today.
- 2:14Speaker 1: I want to just share something with you. Um along
- 2:20Speaker 1: your way to wherever it is you're trying to get to.
- 2:24Speaker 1: You know, everybody has a different definition for success, and
- 2:30Speaker 1: I'm not. I'm not here to tell you what your
- 2:31Speaker 1: it should be. I mean, please pursue whatever you think success.
- 2:35Speaker 1: He is aim as high as you can though, that's
- 2:39Speaker 1: for sure. My father used to say all the time.
- 2:43Speaker 1: I'm sure you all have heard it in different variations,
- 2:45Speaker 1: but he used to always say, aim for the moon.
- 2:49Speaker 1: Just in case you miss, you'll still be amongst the stars.
- 2:52Speaker 1: Just say that to me all the time. So that
- 2:54Speaker 1: always was in me to aim high. Now, he wasn't
- 3:00Speaker 1: saying aim with the intent to miss. He was just
- 3:04Speaker 1: saying aim. In case you miss, you're still amongst the stars.
- 3:09Speaker 1: If you aim for the moon. But if you just
- 3:12Speaker 1: aim for that first flow wind and you miss it,
- 3:16Speaker 1: you know, usually run into some type of wall and
- 3:19Speaker 1: nothing happens. You slither down. You know. In my book,
- 3:23Speaker 1: act like a lady, think like a man. I told
- 3:25Speaker 1: her people that men love three ways. They profess, they provide,
- 3:29Speaker 1: they protect, and that's the core essence of a man's love. Well,
- 3:34Speaker 1: there's some other peas in life too. The number one
- 3:38Speaker 1: thing you have to understand about trying to be successful,
- 3:44Speaker 1: and I guess I call this the four peas. I
- 3:46Speaker 1: may come up with five along the way. I don't know.
- 3:49Speaker 1: I'm just talking as is given to me. So I'm
- 3:52Speaker 1: gonna summer start by saying, as these are the four
- 3:55Speaker 1: peas of success that you have to get ready for.
- 3:59Speaker 1: Number one, it's pressure. A lot of it is applied
- 4:04Speaker 1: by the circumstance of what you're trying to go for
- 4:07Speaker 1: and what you're trying to do, but a lot of
- 4:12Speaker 1: it also is self imposed pressure. It's what you put
- 4:16Speaker 1: on yourself to make it. It's a sense of urgency
- 4:22Speaker 1: it's a sense of necessity. But pressure is the first
- 4:28Speaker 1: thing I want you to be ready for. And pressure
- 4:31Speaker 1: comes in a lot of different forms, but it's going
- 4:33Speaker 1: to be pressured. As an old saying that pressure buster pipe. See,
- 4:37Speaker 1: that's why most people turn around because of the pressure
- 4:40Speaker 1: of trying to be successful. I want you to get
- 4:43Speaker 1: it in your mind that it is going to be
- 4:46Speaker 1: a pressure rized situation on your rise to the top. Pressure,
- 4:52Speaker 1: but understand that that it is what it is, is
- 4:55Speaker 1: not going to change. That's it. Prepare yourself, get ready
- 5:00Speaker 1: for there to be pressure. The second thing I want
- 5:05Speaker 1: you to understand is when you receive this pressure, you
- 5:09Speaker 1: have to persist. You got to stay at it. You
- 5:13Speaker 1: got to develop a dog getness has a There's a
- 5:20Speaker 1: song who says, why must I feel like that? Why
- 5:26Speaker 1: must I chase the cat? Nothing but the dog in me?
- 5:32Speaker 1: That's a funny line in that song, because really I
- 5:36Speaker 1: was thinking about it one day. I was humming it
- 5:39Speaker 1: and and it, and it occurred to me, said, why
- 5:42Speaker 1: must I feel like that? Why must I chase the cat?
- 5:47Speaker 1: Nothing but the dog get me? And you know, now
- 5:51Speaker 1: you could take it into literal says that the cat
- 5:54Speaker 1: chases the dog because it's innately is in his spirit.
- 5:57Speaker 1: That cats and dogs are a lot of time times enemies.
- 6:00Speaker 1: Now people have pets in him, proving that if you
- 6:03Speaker 1: show love on both sides, they can exist. And that
- 6:06Speaker 1: happens too but naturally innately, when your cat goes by
- 6:11Speaker 1: a dog and your dog don't recognize him, that some
- 6:13Speaker 1: barking going on. I'm talking I just walking through the
- 6:16Speaker 1: neighborhood or something. So, but the reason that this dog's
- 6:22Speaker 1: so persistent towards this cat is just cause it's in him.
- 6:28Speaker 1: It's innately in him. And what I'm saying to you,
- 6:33Speaker 1: just using that as an analogy, is that you got
- 6:37Speaker 1: to be you got to be persistent in that. You
- 6:42Speaker 1: got to develop some dog in you now, because pressure
- 6:47Speaker 1: takes some fighting back. See if you don't fight back
- 6:50Speaker 1: against pressure, pressure buster pipes, so what you think it
- 6:53Speaker 1: will do to you? Pressure, crack walls, pressure calls, explosions.
- 6:58Speaker 1: So if you don't fight back to hold it in,
- 7:02Speaker 1: you understand pressure does most people in the simple thing
- 7:06Speaker 1: called pressure, the weight of what it feels like to
- 7:10Speaker 1: want to be successful every single day, over and over
- 7:14Speaker 1: and over and over and over. It's just too much
- 7:17Speaker 1: pressure people crack. You got to persist. You have to persist.
- 7:23Speaker 1: You can the thought of giving up can come, but
- 7:26Speaker 1: you got to get it out. You got to persist.
- 7:30Speaker 1: The next thing I want you to think about is
- 7:35Speaker 1: another something that I've been thinking about for years and
- 7:37Speaker 1: learn for years. It's called perseverance. To persist means to insist.
- 7:46Speaker 1: It's keyword in insist and persistence insists you must. You
- 7:50Speaker 1: must insist that this is going to happen. Now, the
- 7:54Speaker 1: persist I'm assuming means it's a proaction. It's some type
- 7:58Speaker 1: of proaction that you go towards it to make it.
- 8:02Speaker 1: You know, persist, you gotta be persisted. You gotta be
- 8:05Speaker 1: constantly at it, insisting that it happens. You gotta be
- 8:08Speaker 1: constantly at it. But the next thing I want you
- 8:11Speaker 1: to remember is perseverance. Perseverance is important. Perseverance means that
- 8:17Speaker 1: when you've done your best, when you've persisted, when you're
- 8:22Speaker 1: fighting back against the pressure. Perseverance simply means I'm going
- 8:27Speaker 1: to hang in here when if a crack come into pipe,
- 8:32Speaker 1: I'm gonna hang in there. If the pipe bust, I'm
- 8:36Speaker 1: gonna keep going. If I gotta put duct, take mud, whatever,
- 8:41Speaker 1: I got to put on this thing. Man, I'm gonna
- 8:44Speaker 1: use perseverance. I'm going to stay with it no matter what.
- 8:50Speaker 1: So we're looking at the three things again. You got
- 8:53Speaker 1: to understand that it's gonna be pressure that you're gonna
- 8:56Speaker 1: have to persist keyword and persistence insist. You have to
- 9:01Speaker 1: insist that no matter what the pressure is, I'm gonna
- 9:04Speaker 1: stay with it. But then perseverance. If it goes wrong, Man,
- 9:08Speaker 1: you got to get in there and keep fighting. But
- 9:12Speaker 1: then Lord Him Mercy. Nothing helps you handle the three
- 9:16Speaker 1: peas better than the fourth pea. You got to pray.
- 9:20Speaker 1: You got to use prayer. You gotta talk to God.
- 9:23Speaker 1: You gotta use faith. You gotta have some conferences with
- 9:27Speaker 1: him late at night, early in the morning, in the
- 9:30Speaker 1: middle of the afternoon, when you own the train, when
- 9:33Speaker 1: you're driving. You got to talk to God. Man, you
- 9:36Speaker 1: gotta get yourself some help along the way. Nothing is
- 9:39Speaker 1: bigger than prayer. There is nothing bigger than prayer. Prayer
- 9:43Speaker 1: will help you overcome the pressure. Prayer will help you
- 9:46Speaker 1: stay persistent, and Lord Him Mercy, prayer will help you
- 9:49Speaker 1: persevere them is the faue peas. God gave that to me.
- 9:55Speaker 1: I'm passing it on. You're listening, ladies and gentlemen. It's
- 10:03Speaker 1: about that time of the morning. I don't know if
- 10:06Speaker 1: you've come to the conclusion or not. It's Steve Harvey
- 10:09Speaker 1: Morning Show, all and popping. Shirley Strawberry, A good morning.
- 10:15Speaker 1: It is popping yesterday. Excuse me, I can't. I can't
- 10:18Speaker 1: go no further. Is it a reason why we're looking
- 10:22Speaker 1: at your legs on the zoom call this morning? Mister Miles. See,
- 10:29Speaker 1: my head got on zoom so we can all see
- 10:32Speaker 1: each other. But now if you're gonna talk about my
- 10:35Speaker 1: leg and I finish to turn it off, well I'm not,
- 10:39Speaker 1: I'm but your leg is the biggest thing in the camera.
- 10:43Speaker 1: I'm just concerned about you. Are you doing okays? Everything
- 10:48Speaker 1: all right? This my makeup chill. I'm just oh, I
- 10:52Speaker 1: see what you're saying. Oh you're in a chair. I'm
- 10:55Speaker 1: in a director's chair. I'm oh, no, wonder you're so tall?
- 10:58Speaker 1: My bad? Hey, caller for rel because I was living
- 11:04Speaker 1: for the moment. If you would have said you thought
- 11:05Speaker 1: he was in a high chair, oh, it was there,
- 11:15Speaker 1: but I thought it was a little bit too early.
- 11:18Speaker 1: He seemed a little tight about to set up. You
- 11:25Speaker 1: don't like my legs pop out beyond hill? Really, Junior,
- 11:32Speaker 1: I think morning, everybody apprechate it. Now. If you tied
- 11:35Speaker 1: me in the building, I'm in the shining well. I
- 11:46Speaker 1: don't know if I got business with him, Junior. But ladies,
- 11:51Speaker 1: ladies caller and Shirley, I don't know if y'all recalled.
- 11:56Speaker 1: That was a sugar honey iced tea talking moment going
- 12:01Speaker 1: on about the Lakers and the ten for Nuggets. Yeah,
- 12:07Speaker 1: and I just wanted to inform mister Miles that the
- 12:11Speaker 1: Nuggets is down two games to none. I know, just
- 12:17Speaker 1: thought that bring them though. They're good? Now, do slight
- 12:21Speaker 1: them good? Come on? Clippers were good? O way, I
- 12:28Speaker 1: got rockets. Come on, man, we didn't No, no, I
- 12:35Speaker 1: was Cleveland the last ten years. Cleveland was great in
- 12:39Speaker 1: two thousand and sixteen. Now the Browns the Browns. It's
- 12:44Speaker 1: been the brown This is an old other sport. Oh
- 12:47Speaker 1: we're switching sports. Well, well, let's switch sports and let's
- 12:53Speaker 1: go with the Browns. Just one Sunday did Houston Houston loss? Oh,
- 13:03Speaker 1: we switched sports. Houston lost to the Ravens. Same team
- 13:07Speaker 1: Brown's lost to the raven Then the Cleveland one, then
- 13:10Speaker 1: the Texans loss again. God, don't what is y'all oneing?
- 13:15Speaker 1: Y'all is owing two? Yeah, yah ya, we're gonna We're

- 13:22Speaker 1: We is one and one. Stop talking to We just
- 13:29Speaker 1: need to shut up. Ain't worry about him. Man, Thank y'all. Everybody,
- 13:33Speaker 1: Good morning, All right, healthy, Get ready for the cello
- 13:40Speaker 1: that's coming up with thirty two minutes after the hour.
- 13:42Speaker 1: Right after this, you're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right,
- 13:47Speaker 1: time now for Steve's favorite segment. Asked the cello the
- 13:51Speaker 1: Chief love Officer, Ready, sir, all right? This one is
- 13:54Speaker 1: from Darsha and Colleen, Texas. She says, I've been dating
- 13:57Speaker 1: a soldier for the past year, and he will disappear
- 14:00Speaker 1: at times and blaming on a cot covert mission at work.
- 14:05Speaker 1: He gets testy when I questioned him about anything concerning
- 14:08Speaker 1: his job, so I have to accept whatever he tells me. Yesterday,
- 14:13Speaker 1: I was talking to him about work and he said
- 14:15Speaker 1: that several women on the base want him. I was like,
- 14:18Speaker 1: what does that mean? He said, I need to secure
- 14:20Speaker 1: my spot because the competition is fierce. I asked him,
- 14:25Speaker 1: what that meant, he said, figure it out. Is this
- 14:28Speaker 1: some kind of game? Of course it is. I can't
- 14:31Speaker 1: tell you how many, oh how many covert missions I've
- 14:37Speaker 1: been on in my illustrious career as a player. Oh
- 14:44Speaker 1: you know, I wasn't in the military, but that's what
- 14:46Speaker 1: I called it too. Call I want a covert mission. Damn.
- 14:52Speaker 1: We ain't even in war right now? That hell is
- 14:54Speaker 1: he talking about? You don't want to base? I win,
- 14:56Speaker 1: There ain't on no base, no covert mission. Dog. Now,
- 15:00Speaker 1: all these women that won't him on the base, why
- 15:02Speaker 1: don't you let them have him? Yes, you know, secure
- 15:07Speaker 1: your position, what you posted do? All right? You know, look, look,
- 15:16Speaker 1: look I got he's a soldier all that. But if
- 15:18Speaker 1: he want to play mister military all damn time, then
- 15:22Speaker 1: you play miss military. Go a wall. Oh you know,
- 15:28Speaker 1: you know, since we're doing military terms, why don't you
- 15:35Speaker 1: go a wall and reduce the rations? Yeah? All right,
- 15:45Speaker 1: all right, cello, here we go. Charles and Norfolk says,
- 15:48Speaker 1: I've been married for eight years, and every once in
- 15:50Speaker 1: a while I watch porn and I pleasure myself. My
- 15:55Speaker 1: wife does not understand it, so I try to hide
- 15:57Speaker 1: it from her as much as possible. She walked in
- 16:00Speaker 1: me in the shower the other day and I was
- 16:02Speaker 1: taking matters into my own hands. She yelled stop it,
- 16:06Speaker 1: and then she turned out. She turned she ran out,
- 16:10Speaker 1: and uh said she wanted a divorce. Okay, she ran out,
- 16:14Speaker 1: said she wanted a divorce. She's a drama queen. So
- 16:16Speaker 1: I kept on doing what I was doing. She thinks
- 16:18Speaker 1: I have a problem and I need to go to counseling.
- 16:20Speaker 1: We have a healthy sex life, So I don't see
- 16:22Speaker 1: what the problem is. Have you heard of needing counseling
- 16:26Speaker 1: for this? Well, you in the shop by yourself, and
- 16:29Speaker 1: you have a healthy, healthy sex life. What's her own dog?
- 16:34Speaker 1: But what is you in there with yourself? He like
- 16:37Speaker 1: him better than huh? You in the shower though? Yeah, yeah,
- 16:43Speaker 1: you don't like to sit down nowhere? Standing up here
- 16:50Speaker 1: making a lot of noise here to get in on this,
- 16:52Speaker 1: I won't do so bad. You must be seventeen, what
- 17:00Speaker 1: you say, Steve, you must be work. He must be
- 17:02Speaker 1: seventeen standing up in the shower for I don't. I
- 17:08Speaker 1: don't understand. Yeah, bro, see you said you've been married
- 17:11Speaker 1: eight years and you watch pawn to pleasure yourself and
- 17:15Speaker 1: your wife don't get it, so you try to keep
- 17:17Speaker 1: it from what when you was in that shower by yourself. Yeah,
- 17:22Speaker 1: y'all got TV in the shower playing that over you,
- 17:26Speaker 1: just yourself hard? Was you thinking? Dog? Yeah that's pretty
- 17:34Speaker 1: rough though. Man, you have a healthy sex life. That's
- 17:38Speaker 1: the issue. And he got a lot on his mind.
- 17:42Speaker 1: Yers is more though. Yeah, now she wants a divorce.
- 17:46Speaker 1: So you just kept on doing what you were doing. Well, go,
- 17:49Speaker 1: we're bringing the papers in here. If I got to
- 17:58Speaker 1: shut the dough, sure, kids don't come back. Get out
- 18:04Speaker 1: of here, Damian. But people there is there is counseling
- 18:14Speaker 1: for for some things such as bite he get to
- 18:17Speaker 1: keep the TV I'm keeping down. Counsel Yeah, I don't
- 18:21Speaker 1: know what something. Yeah, before you go to divorce, though,
- 18:26Speaker 1: I would definitely see some sort of counseling. I don't
- 18:29Speaker 1: want to divorce necessarily. All right, We're moving on. Susie
- 18:33Speaker 1: and Arizona says. I'm engaged to a twenty nine year
- 18:36Speaker 1: old man and he has a weird relationship with his mama.
- 18:39Speaker 1: He was engaged before but it didn't work out. He
- 18:42Speaker 1: got the engagement ring back and his mama is wearing it.
- 18:45Speaker 1: It's a nice diamond, and I have to see it
- 18:48Speaker 1: whenever I see her. His mom is married, but my
- 18:51Speaker 1: fiance caters to her. If I get a nice gift,
- 18:55Speaker 1: he gets her a little something too. For my birthday,
- 18:58Speaker 1: I got a huge bouquet of roses. His mama sent
- 19:01Speaker 1: me a pick of the bouquet he brought her the
- 19:04Speaker 1: same day. He says he loves making her smile. Is
- 19:08Speaker 1: this normal, weird or is he a straight up mama's boy?
- 19:11Speaker 1: Get out, No, it's it's a little the mama win
- 19:16Speaker 1: the ring that he bought the other girl. That's weird.
- 19:21Speaker 1: Him buying his mama flowers is not weird? Her texting
- 19:25Speaker 1: you a picture of the flowers, like nine nine nine nine,
- 19:29Speaker 1: that's weird. True, But I think go ahead coming, let
- 19:35Speaker 1: me ask you some state. It's not weird that he's
- 19:37Speaker 1: sending flowers to his mama on the same day he's
- 19:41Speaker 1: sending it to his girl. That ain't weird. Well, it's
- 19:43Speaker 1: not weird to send your mama flowers, but it is
- 19:47Speaker 1: weird if you send them on the same day. You
- 19:49Speaker 1: know I'm getting something for my Let me get mamas
- 19:51Speaker 1: because I like to make a smile. There's nothing wrong
- 19:53Speaker 1: with that. You know, you would we have better more
- 19:56Speaker 1: people treated their mama as well. But she sent up
- 20:00Speaker 1: hitch them to the girl. Feel like you ain't the
- 20:01Speaker 1: only one Mama's patty and he is a mama's boy. Yeah,
- 20:07Speaker 1: And I think that there is some signs of mama
- 20:10Speaker 1: boy ismm in Hill because the mama word ever, ever,
- 20:19Speaker 1: that is a hint of mama boy ism. And this
- 20:23Speaker 1: Hill called she got on the ring that was his
- 20:26Speaker 1: fiance that she felt should have been her ring. Anyway,
- 20:31Speaker 1: if you get involved in this situation, you will be
- 20:34Speaker 1: man the entire family. You just need to know that.
- 20:41Speaker 1: I wonder if there's a word for mama's who like
- 20:45Speaker 1: their sons like this, You know what I mean? Oh yeah, Steve,
- 20:50Speaker 1: what's your thing? That's called apron nias? Coming up next
- 20:59Speaker 1: to you will run that prank back right after this.
- 21:03Speaker 1: You're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show coming up at the
- 21:07Speaker 1: top of the hour and Entertainment News. Yesterday, Ellen DeGeneres
- 21:11Speaker 1: talked about her controversy and toxic work environment allegations during
- 21:16Speaker 1: her new season premiere plus Today's National Voter Registration Day.
- 21:21Speaker 1: Voter Registration Day today, you let's go, Yeah, we'll talk
- 21:27Speaker 1: about all of these stories at the top of the hour.
- 21:29Speaker 1: But right now the nephew is in the building with
- 21:31Speaker 1: run that prank back. What you got for it's neff.
- 21:34Speaker 1: Guess who's moving next door? Let's go people. Come on, Okay, hello,
- 21:42Speaker 1: I'm trying to reach uh mister Dolphinlan Nolan Dolan, mister

- 22:06Speaker 1: actually bought the house that was for sale next door
- 22:09Speaker 1: team Okay, well congratulations, But how did you get my number?
- 22:12Speaker 1: Actually the realtor told me that he had your number
- 22:16Speaker 1: because I said I wanted to reach out to the
- 22:18Speaker 1: neighbor's next door and he told me that mister Dolan
- 22:21Speaker 1: was actually the person next door and and uh he
- 22:24Speaker 1: didn't think you would mind me me actually getting the number. Okay, well,
- 22:28Speaker 1: I'll talk with the real layer. But what can I
- 22:30Speaker 1: do for you, sir? What? What? What? I what I
- 22:32Speaker 1: wanted to know is do do you have any problems
- 22:34Speaker 1: like living next door? To to to black people. I'm sorry,
- 22:38Speaker 1: what did you just ask me? I mean, like, like
- 22:41Speaker 1: I said, you know, like I said, I just bought
- 22:42Speaker 1: the place next door, and I wanted to know, do
- 22:45Speaker 1: you have any problems, you know, living next door to
- 22:47Speaker 1: black people? Uh? No, sir, I have no problem. I'm
- 22:51Speaker 1: assuming you're a black man, and uh I have no
- 22:54Speaker 1: problem with that. I judge people by their actions, not
- 22:57Speaker 1: their color. Okay, now do you do you do you
- 23:00Speaker 1: don't have any any black people experience? Well, yeah, I've
- 23:03Speaker 1: worked with, gone to school with, has several friends of
- 23:06Speaker 1: many different ethnicities. Uh, but what what is it? What's this?
- 23:11Speaker 1: How is this relative? Well, you know, like I said,
- 23:13Speaker 1: I'm gonna be I'm gonna be living next to you,
- 23:15Speaker 1: and I'm just making sure that you know, you and
- 23:17Speaker 1: I can coincide, co exists rather on the same block
- 23:22Speaker 1: and not really have a problem with one another. Base
- 23:24Speaker 1: Because what I'm trying to say, well, do you have
- 23:26Speaker 1: a problem with white people? Uh? No, No, No, I
- 23:28Speaker 1: don't have a problem white people. I'm cool. I'm just
- 23:31Speaker 1: I'm just trying to make sure you know, Uh, I mean,
- 23:34Speaker 1: because me and you already have a bit of a
- 23:36Speaker 1: problem already. You know we do. Yeah, yeah, we have
- 23:40Speaker 1: a problem. I mean, I'm bothering me while on net work.
- 23:43Speaker 1: What's your problem? Okay? Well my problem is this is that,
- 23:47Speaker 1: you know, after purchasing the property, I went downtown to
- 23:51Speaker 1: the city and actually looked at, you know, the layout
- 23:55Speaker 1: of this entire property. And when I look at it,
- 23:57Speaker 1: you actually twenty five close to hurt his feet over
- 24:01Speaker 1: the property. Last Well, now you look at the wrong map. No, No,
- 24:05Speaker 1: the fifth that separates my back yard from your backyard.
- 24:08Speaker 1: You have thirty feet over that. That's impossible. You know, listen,
- 24:12Speaker 1: and I noticed. Let me let me know. I'm gonna
- 24:14Speaker 1: tell you, uh, look at you got a jacouzi in
- 24:17Speaker 1: your backyard, right, So you've been even spine on me. No,
- 24:20Speaker 1: I'm inspired on you, sir. I'm just telling you closer
- 24:24Speaker 1: that not far from that fis line. Don't don't you
- 24:26Speaker 1: have a Jakouzi there? Well, as a matter of fact,
- 24:29Speaker 1: I do. Yes, Okay, so the pool is the pool
- 24:32Speaker 1: is okay. But but if I if I pushed that
- 24:35Speaker 1: fifth line back thirty and actually get the property that
- 24:37Speaker 1: I'm supposed to have, but I'm pretty much own you.
- 24:40Speaker 1: You you'll jacouz, You'll have to gncy. Okay, let me
- 24:45Speaker 1: tell you something. I've been in that house for ten years.
- 24:47Speaker 1: We put that fence up when we moved in, and
- 24:50Speaker 1: it was based on the property line that was that
- 24:53Speaker 1: was set when ten years ago. I don't know what
- 24:56Speaker 1: you're looking at, but my fence is not moving. My
- 25:00Speaker 1: Jacuzi's not moving, and there's there's no changing that. Okay, Well,
- 25:04Speaker 1: let me let me let me I'm glad you hear
- 25:06Speaker 1: your voice what you wanted the voice. No, no, no, no, no,
- 25:09Speaker 1: you hear you hear Old coup for dot. Let me
- 25:11Speaker 1: tell you so. Uh, Either we're gonna take the fifth
- 25:15Speaker 1: line and movie where supposed to be. Oh, We're gonna
- 25:18Speaker 1: put a gate between uh two yards, and I'm gonna
- 25:22Speaker 1: be able to come and get in this jacuzi and
- 25:24Speaker 1: pool whenever I want to. All right, let's let's let's
- 25:26Speaker 1: let's talk about this. First of all, there's gonna not
- 25:28Speaker 1: gonna be an gate, okay. And as far as you
- 25:31Speaker 1: just coming over and getting into jacuzi at will, I
- 25:35Speaker 1: got a real problem with that. Uh you've called me
- 25:38Speaker 1: at work. I'm on the job and I'm having to
- 25:40Speaker 1: listen to this on a future neighbor who's making weird
- 25:46Speaker 1: claims about how he owns part of my lam. Get back,
- 25:50Speaker 1: I hold the Jacuzi sull No, you did not pay
- 25:53Speaker 1: for that Jacuzi. You did not pay for that ten
- 25:57Speaker 1: so you just shot up making u He called me
- 25:59Speaker 1: at work, and and and and and then you hand
- 26:02Speaker 1: me some story with no evidence. I don't go down
- 26:05Speaker 1: to the city hall and look at those papers myself,
- 26:09Speaker 1: because I don't trust words you're saying. I've been there
- 26:12Speaker 1: for ten years. I've had ten other neighbors in that backyard.
- 26:17Speaker 1: You're gonna cycle through once a year, I swear, And
- 26:20Speaker 1: I've never had any problems with him until you come along.
- 26:23Speaker 1: This is some okay, Well, I tell you what. Here's
- 26:26Speaker 1: here's something you need to understand. You got a new
- 26:28Speaker 1: black neighbor, and you got a new black neighbor that
- 26:30Speaker 1: owns part owns your jakouzi. Because you're over the fence line,
- 26:34Speaker 1: all right. And as soon as I move in, I'm
- 26:36Speaker 1: coming and I'm getting in my jakouzi. He went, oh, man,
- 26:40Speaker 1: you know what I mean this, No move into that.
- 26:44Speaker 1: I'm gonna use the jacouzy on Monday, win damn Friday.
- 26:47Speaker 1: You don't get it. On two of the Thursday and
- 26:49Speaker 1: the weekend. That's it, because blade is damn Jakouzy belong
- 26:53Speaker 1: to me. The Jakouzi and the home my black man
- 26:56Speaker 1: and a white man, and we're gonna get along black
- 26:58Speaker 1: a love. Look here, listen here, you who you to
- 27:02Speaker 1: dictate what days I get to use my jacuzi because
- 27:05Speaker 1: it's not I'm going over to mind this and I
- 27:07Speaker 1: just you know, you were crying. It's I was Jacouzi
- 27:10Speaker 1: because you you built it. That's the only thing that
- 27:13Speaker 1: makes it yours. And being on my part of the property,
- 27:16Speaker 1: I was making mine. So therefore we're gonna share his
- 27:19Speaker 1: damn jacouzi and we're gonna try to go you Jacouzie.
- 27:23Speaker 1: I'm passing your across the fence. I will be there
- 27:26Speaker 1: on Monday's Wednesdays and you ain't gonna be I'll be
- 27:29Speaker 1: standing out my jacuzie with a shotgun. You take one
- 27:32Speaker 1: step over to my property, my property, lie. I swear
- 27:36Speaker 1: if I can jump through this phone, I'd wring your neck.
- 27:39Speaker 1: You know who's gonna be in there with me? Who
- 27:41Speaker 1: who the gonna be in there? I'm gonna have cutting
- 27:43Speaker 1: halls in the damn jacouz who cutting hell my co worker?
- 27:50Speaker 1: What hey, man, this is nephew telling me. Man, you
- 27:54Speaker 1: your boy cutting hal got me the plank ball call
- 27:57Speaker 1: you this? Oh that go back, we got you. I
- 28:07Speaker 1: got one more thing to ask you, man, what is
- 28:09Speaker 1: the baddest and I mean the baddest radio show in
- 28:13Speaker 1: the last the Steve Harvey's radio And then you have it? No, there,
- 28:21Speaker 1: you almost got it about this Jacuzzi hotel. Yeah, it's
- 28:27Speaker 1: on my side. It's not on your side. It's on
- 28:29Speaker 1: my side. What you did whenever I want? Yeah, well
- 28:35Speaker 1: yes it was when you come home. Don't be surprised
- 28:38Speaker 1: if I'm in the hot two because that's our hotel.
- 28:41Speaker 1: Black man, you're a white man. We're gonna get along.
- 28:44Speaker 1: Black folks and white folks got to get along. It's ours.
- 28:50Speaker 1: How do you come up with this? That's that left side, Charlotte,
- 28:54Speaker 1: that left side of the sup of my brain. Okay,
- 28:58Speaker 1: I think from the lefts. You know, Timmy's only live.
- 29:02Speaker 1: Thomas Miles is on the right. I can stand him.
- 29:05Speaker 1: What Tommy coop? Thomas Miles difficult? He stand his damn SI.
- 29:12Speaker 1: That's basically what I said. All right, thank you, nephew.
- 29:17Speaker 1: Coming up at the top of the hour, we'll have
- 29:18Speaker 1: some entertainment news and today's national voter Registration Day. We'll
- 29:23Speaker 1: talk about all of that right after this. You're listening
- 29:26Speaker 1: to morning show and entertainment news. Yesterday, Ellen Degenerous addressed
- 29:34Speaker 1: her controversy in toxic work environment during her season eighteen premiere.
- 29:39Speaker 1: Take a listen. How was everybody's summer good? Yeah? Mine
- 29:43Speaker 1: was great, super terrific. I'm so happy to be back
- 29:48Speaker 1: in the studio. There are a lot of things I
- 29:50Speaker 1: want to talk about. I've been looking forward to addressing
- 29:52Speaker 1: it all directly, and unfortunately, talking directly to people has
- 29:56Speaker 1: been illegal for six months, so I have a virtual
- 29:58Speaker 1: audience here instead. Here you all are. You look beautiful
- 30:05Speaker 1: and I'm sure you smell great. That's what I'm imagining anyway.
- 30:08Speaker 1: All right, let's get to it. As you may have heard,
- 30:12Speaker 1: this summer, there were allegations of a toxic work environment
- 30:14Speaker 1: at our show, and then there was an investigation. I
- 30:17Speaker 1: learned that things happened here that never should have happened.
- 30:20Speaker 1: I take that very seriously, and I want to say
- 30:22Speaker 1: I am so sorry to the people who were affected.
- 30:24Speaker 1: I know that I'm in a position of privilege and power,
- 30:27Speaker 1: and I realize that with that comes responsibility, and I
- 30:30Speaker 1: take responsibility for what happens at my show. This is
- 30:33Speaker 1: the Ellen de Generous Show. I am Ellen de Generous.
- 30:35Speaker 1: My name is there, my name is there, my name
- 30:39Speaker 1: is on underwear. We have had a lot of conversations
- 30:45Speaker 1: over the last few weeks about the show, our workplace,
- 30:47Speaker 1: and what we want for the future. We have made
- 30:50Speaker 1: the necessary changes and today we are starting a new chapter. Wow.
- 30:57Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, she adjusted head on and I like that, Ellen,
- 31:01Speaker 1: that works out. Yeah. You see. Several current and former
- 31:05Speaker 1: staff members alleged they faced harrassment, intimidation, and racism. According
- 31:09Speaker 1: to People magazine. In late July, Warner Brothers launched an
- 31:12Speaker 1: internal investigation and spoke to two hundred and seventy of
- 31:15Speaker 1: Ellen's employees, and she publicly apologized and three top producers
- 31:19Speaker 1: were fired from the Ellen Show. Well, you know, she
- 31:23Speaker 1: took responsibility for it, as her name is on this show.
- 31:27Speaker 1: But you know, a person, you can't know what all
- 31:31Speaker 1: of your employees are doing. And the sad thing about
- 31:35Speaker 1: some producers and stuff is they take on the power
- 31:40Speaker 1: because they feel like because they're a producer, they take
- 31:42Speaker 1: on a certain power and they wield it in a
- 31:45Speaker 1: way that maybe not even the star would do. You
- 31:49Speaker 1: know about it? You know, you know, you know, you've
- 31:54Speaker 1: all seen people have been in power and have just
- 32:00Speaker 1: been abusive with their power, you know. And that's not
- 32:05Speaker 1: what that may not that's not what Ellen has been
- 32:07Speaker 1: about since I've known her. Well, I like it back
- 32:11Speaker 1: when she addressed it, I do and came clean and
- 32:14Speaker 1: publicly apologized. I liked all that. Okay, switching gears a
- 32:19Speaker 1: programming note tomorrow morning, check this out people, tomorrow morning.
- 32:23Speaker 1: Democratic presidential hopeful Joe Biden will be our special guest,
- 32:29Speaker 1: special guest. Okay, don't forget Joe Biden. We'll be our
- 32:33Speaker 1: special guest in the morning. And finally, today is National
- 32:37Speaker 1: Voter Registration Day. How about that right? If your right
- 32:41Speaker 1: to vote means anything to you, and we certainly hope
- 32:44Speaker 1: it does. On the Steve Harvey Morning Show, please please
- 32:47Speaker 1: please make sure you're registered. You can learn about your
- 32:50Speaker 1: voter rights and requirements, be informed by checking where your
- 32:54Speaker 1: polling place is. This is a day of action. We
- 32:58Speaker 1: need all registered, eligible voters to participate in our democracy, right, Steve, Yeah,
- 33:07Speaker 1: I mean, you know, look, this is not this is
- 33:10Speaker 1: this is go time. Yeah, this is the time for
- 33:13Speaker 1: everybody who wants a change to to to participate in
- 33:21Speaker 1: making the change. The only way we can change something
- 33:25Speaker 1: is we got to vote. That's all. It's just as
- 33:28Speaker 1: simple as that. If we vote, we can change saying
- 33:32Speaker 1: prove to me your vote. If you vote, you will
- 33:36Speaker 1: prove to yourself one thing or another it counts or
- 33:40Speaker 1: it don't count. And there's no way you can vote
- 33:42Speaker 1: and think it don't county. It's just no. Please please,
- 33:49Speaker 1: I'm asking everybody to vote. You will make a huge difference. Yes, yes,
- 33:56Speaker 1: and see we have only forty two days left. Forty
- 33:59Speaker 1: two days left until the November third election. You can
- 34:02Speaker 1: go right now to vote dot org and get your
- 34:05Speaker 1: dates and all of that. Today is National Voter Registration Day.
- 34:09Speaker 1: Make today count, make it count early, vote, do what
- 34:12Speaker 1: you have to do, find out when all that is today.
- 34:15Speaker 1: All right, we're coming up with y'all. I just want
- 34:18Speaker 1: not right. This is serious lives. Vote as if your
- 34:24Speaker 1: life depended on it. Now. Coming up in twenty minutes
- 34:26Speaker 1: after the hour, Steve is going to tell us what
- 34:28Speaker 1: he's watching on TV. Right after this. These are things
- 34:35Speaker 1: you want to say to your mate that you really can't.
- 34:39Speaker 1: But you really can't. Every man in a relationship at
- 34:42Speaker 1: one point has wanted to say these things. Watch yourself,
- 34:46Speaker 1: watch yourself. If you got a hang nail on your foot,
- 34:50Speaker 1: don't rub that up against man. You know what. I'm
- 34:53Speaker 1: come on, man, how you don't know that scratching everything?
- 34:58Speaker 1: I know it's sexy to throw your leg across man,
- 35:01Speaker 1: but let me just tell you something. When we first met,
- 35:06Speaker 1: when we first like hooked up, that leg was a
- 35:10Speaker 1: lot lighter, you know what, right there, right there, that's
- 35:14Speaker 1: all I'm saying. Getting in trouble, that's I'm just saying.
- 35:17Speaker 1: It's not gonna say that long. That's I love you.
- 35:22Speaker 1: But that leg is looking everything, yeah, fibrous. You know what.
- 35:33Speaker 1: That leg is not his light and it was when
- 35:36Speaker 1: we met. That leg is. That's not less about help me.
- 35:44Speaker 1: I'm like about to lose, but I'm already die better.
- 35:50Speaker 1: You're listening to show. So yesterday, of course we were
- 35:56Speaker 1: all on zoom. We were talking about where we're watching
- 35:58Speaker 1: on TV. However, before quarantine days, Steve wouldn't normally participate
- 36:04Speaker 1: in our TV show conversations, right, but now Steve is
- 36:09Speaker 1: like leading the charge. Okay, he's been feeling left out
- 36:13Speaker 1: and he wants to engage in our TV show or
- 36:15Speaker 1: bene watching conversations. So Steve, tell us and tell everyone
- 36:20Speaker 1: what you've been watching and what's so good about it?
- 36:23Speaker 1: You gotta tell us. Ain't nothing on the al better
- 36:27Speaker 1: than court cam. Court cam is they show the inside
- 36:34Speaker 1: of court houses around the nation from a camera view. Boy,
- 36:38Speaker 1: let me tell you something. There's some people who have
- 36:43Speaker 1: made the decision to make crime a lifestyle, and I
- 36:47Speaker 1: see nothing else they could do. I truly do understand
- 36:54Speaker 1: at the mental capacity of some of these people why
- 36:58Speaker 1: crime was chosen a school and must not have worked really,
- 37:04Speaker 1: you know, going to this, going down to the seminary
- 37:07Speaker 1: that without you know, divide military, none of that, None
- 37:14Speaker 1: of that cam got people on that making. Not only
- 37:22Speaker 1: did there was a decision to commit the crime that
- 37:25Speaker 1: got them in court. Wrong once they in court, the
- 37:30Speaker 1: time that I've watched accumulate after they got to court. Listen, man,
- 37:36Speaker 1: we've gone from simple misdemeanors where we are here to
- 37:39Speaker 1: just set you bail, You make bail, you go home, right.
- 37:45Speaker 1: I've seen cases where you come in and you pay
- 37:47Speaker 1: the fine and you go home. All races white people
- 37:52Speaker 1: are my favorite happens hort Cam. It's the fools that
- 38:04Speaker 1: go before the judge and make decisions and through through
- 38:09Speaker 1: the com boy boy anything I'm talking about just adding

- 38:48Speaker 1: brought him back in gate his dude about thirty eight years.
- 38:50Speaker 1: When he came back in, he was a new man.

- 48:24Speaker 1: You calling me, telling me you're hearing lids coming from
- 48:27Speaker 1: our kid and showing like somebody and now you're telling
- 48:31Speaker 1: me where we thought it. You know, Hey man, all
- 48:34Speaker 1: I'm saying is maybe it's just a legitimate mistake. I

- 53:12Speaker 1: to the other king, they are sending the dude's head

- 54:36Speaker 1: Letter subject. When I say crazy, I mean crazy. What'd
- 54:41Speaker 1: you say, Steve? No, now it's just say oh, all right,
- 54:45Speaker 1: here we go. Dear Stephen Shirley, I'm a thirty eight
- 54:47Speaker 1: year old wife and mother of four beautiful daughters. My
- 54:51Speaker 1: husband and I have been together for eighteen years and
- 54:53Speaker 1: married for ten. We have been living separately for the
- 54:56Speaker 1: last three years because my husband accused me of cheating
- 55:00Speaker 1: in the craziest way. Less than a year after our
- 55:03Speaker 1: last daughter was born. He set up a tape recorder
- 55:06Speaker 1: in our home to catch me cheating. He told me
- 55:09Speaker 1: about the recording and then played the tape from me.
- 55:13Speaker 1: All I heard was the baby's cooing and the little
- 55:15Speaker 1: mermaid playing in the background, But my husband swore he
- 55:19Speaker 1: heard sex sounds on the tape. He made copies of
- 55:24Speaker 1: the tape and sent them to his family and a
- 55:26Speaker 1: few of our friends. They were puzzled and advised me
- 55:30Speaker 1: to watch him because he appeared to becoming unhinged. After that,
- 55:34Speaker 1: he stopped sleeping and he started drinking heavily. He told
- 55:38Speaker 1: me that our last child is not his, and he
- 55:41Speaker 1: started arguments daily about this imaginary boyfriend that I had.
- 55:46Speaker 1: I was to stay at home mom at the time,
- 55:48Speaker 1: so he never wanted me to leave the house, and
- 55:50Speaker 1: if I did leave, he would sniff my clothes for
- 55:54Speaker 1: traces of cologne when I got home. I eventually called
- 55:58Speaker 1: his mom and told her to come and get him
- 56:00Speaker 1: because my older daughters were afraid of his erratic behavior.
- 56:03Speaker 1: Since he's been living with his mom. He lost his job,
- 56:07Speaker 1: got arrested, and was in legal trouble for a while.
- 56:10Speaker 1: That was two years ago, and now he's back on
- 56:13Speaker 1: his feet and has been in counseling for three months.
- 56:16Speaker 1: He wants to come back home, but my daughters don't
- 56:19Speaker 1: necessarily want him to. They are enjoying the peace and
- 56:22Speaker 1: stability without him. Am I crazy to even consider taking
- 56:26Speaker 1: his paranoid behind back. Please advise girl, not without some
- 56:31Speaker 1: serious medical help, okay from a board certified psychologist or psychiatrist.
- 56:38Speaker 1: Because I just say this because of his daughters and
- 56:41Speaker 1: how they feel. If his own daughters don't want him
- 56:44Speaker 1: back in the house, I think this is a major problem.
- 56:47Speaker 1: I mean, they are afraid of him. That's not good.
- 56:50Speaker 1: He's their dad. The good news in this letter, I
- 56:54Speaker 1: will say, is that that was two years ago, and
- 56:57Speaker 1: after living with his mom, losing his job, like he's
- 57:00Speaker 1: say in the letter, getting arrested, being in legal trouble,
- 57:04Speaker 1: he's back on his feet and has been in counseling
- 57:07Speaker 1: for three months. So I would say this, there's hope,
- 57:12Speaker 1: There might be a glimmer of hope, a light at
- 57:14Speaker 1: the end of the tunnel or something. But I wouldn't
- 57:17Speaker 1: let him back in the house with just three months
- 57:20Speaker 1: of counseling. I mean, remember, come on, this man was
- 57:22Speaker 1: sniffing your clothes. He sent out tapes to your family
- 57:26Speaker 1: and friends. Even you know, they advised you to watch
- 57:31Speaker 1: him because he appeared to becoming unhinged. You got to
- 57:33Speaker 1: take all that into consideration. You know, three months of
- 57:37Speaker 1: counseling does a whole lot. I just wouldn't let him
- 57:41Speaker 1: in with three months of counseling. I don't think you
- 57:44Speaker 1: should disrupt your peaceful and stable home right now without
- 57:48Speaker 1: some serious intervention from professionals. And let me remind you
- 57:54Speaker 1: that he wants to come back, and this is not
- 57:56Speaker 1: about what he wants. This is about you and the
- 57:59Speaker 1: safe of your home, okay, and your kids. That's what
- 58:02Speaker 1: I say, Steve, Well, this is gonna be an interesting
- 58:08Speaker 1: take on him. Just thirty eight year old wife, mother
- 58:11Speaker 1: four beautiful daughters. I've been together for eighteen years with
- 58:16Speaker 1: your husband married ten. They've been living separated for the
- 58:22Speaker 1: last three years. The three years they ain't been together
- 58:25Speaker 1: three years. That's a long time. Because your husband accused
- 58:29Speaker 1: you of cheating in the craziest way. After the last
- 58:33Speaker 1: daughter was born. He set up a tape recorder in
- 58:36Speaker 1: our home to catch me cheating. He told me about
- 58:39Speaker 1: the recording, then he played the tape for me. All
- 58:42Speaker 1: I heard was babies cooling and the Little Mermaid playing
- 58:46Speaker 1: in the background. All you heard in the tape was
- 58:50Speaker 1: baby cooling. My question to you is, normally, when y'all
- 58:56Speaker 1: do make love, do you cool? My question to her is,
- 59:02Speaker 1: when they do make love, do she cool? I don't know,
- 59:06Speaker 1: baby cool? Come if you've been doing baby talk in
- 59:19Speaker 1: his ear, he has a case. If your specialty ain't
- 59:26Speaker 1: been baby talk, then we have a damn problem. Now.
- 59:30Speaker 1: The other thing is when y'all do make love, do
- 59:36Speaker 1: y'all play cartoon music? Because the Little Mermaid is playing
- 59:40Speaker 1: in the background. Most grown ups like Luther pee Bow,
- 59:47Speaker 1: you know, age time, knocking the boots, you know, and
- 59:50Speaker 1: say several things you could play. You know, they thirty
- 59:53Speaker 1: eight so you know what you know, ain't listening to Joe.
- 59:55Speaker 1: They said, take my mind. All this help, but y'all
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: didn't listening to the Little Mermaid. Now your man is crazy, yeah,
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: because he swore he heard sex sounds on the tape.
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: Then he made compient take send it to his family
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: and friends. They have called you and say careful he's
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: coming unheeded. Okay, we'll have part two of Steve's response
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: coming up at twenty three minutes. Subjects When I say crazy,
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: I mean crazy. We'll get back into it right after this.
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: You're listening show, all right, Come on, Steve, Let's recap
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: today's Strawberry Letters. Subject when I say crazy, I mean crazy. Okay,
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: just dude to lost his rabbit, ass man to put
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: a recorder in the house. They've been married all these years,
- 1:00:50Speaker 1: eighteen years man for ten four beautiful daughters, he didn't
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: decided to record her and played the tape back. All
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: you hear is baby cooling. There some little mermaids in
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: the background. But your husband swottered he heard sex sounds
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: on the tape, so he made copies of the tape
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: send them to his family and a few of our friends.
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: They was puzzled. They advised you to watch him. Be careful, girl,
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: he's gonna be in the trash mand something wrong with him.
- 1:01:20Speaker 1: He's coming unhinged. So after that he started sleeping. Then
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: he started drinking heavily. Then he told me that your
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: last child ain't his, and he started arguments about his
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: imagine about this imaginative boyfriend that I had. You was
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: a stay at home mom, so he never wanted you
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: to leave a house, and if he did, he would
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: sniff my clothes for traces of cologne when I got home. Now,
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: let me tell you somethout close sniffing. Close sniffing is
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: not a trait of somebody who drinks. This man then
- 1:01:59Speaker 1: got on some drugs. This ain't drinking. This is no
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: longer alcohol. And I'm gonna show you how I noticed.
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: He started sniffing clones, clothes, sniffing ain't drinking. That's a
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: heavier drug. Now. He eventually called his mom and told
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: her to come get him because the older daughters were
- 1:02:23Speaker 1: afraid of his erratic behavior. He lost his job, he
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: got arrested, was in legal trouble for a while. Them
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: as drugs. That's not alcohol. Alcohol is different, okay. And
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: you know this house, sir, because I know alcoholics. Oh okay,
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: a lot of alcoholic And then I know a lot
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: of junkies. This is junkie behind here, joking. See that
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: was two years ago. Now he back on his feet.
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: He'd been in counseling for three months. Counseling junkie alcohol,
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: counseling junkie. Oh, this is how you're figuring this stuff out. O. See,
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: that's how you're doing. He wants to come back home,
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: but my daughters don't necessarily want him to. They're enjoy
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: the piece and stability without him. And I say to you, ma'am,
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: it's been three years. Yeah, it's been three years. You've
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: done three years without this man, and he wants to
- 1:03:26Speaker 1: come back home. Why what now? What's different? Counsel You
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: need to find out about what the counselance for. You
- 1:03:35Speaker 1: need to get real serious about this, because you're your
- 1:03:39Speaker 1: kids don't even want it back. When the children got
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: better sense than adults. If the kids don't want to
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: do back in the house, you have to consider that.
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: You know, am I crazy to even consider taking his
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: paranoia behind back? Paranoia alcohol does not produce paranoia. He's
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: been on some type of drugs, lost his job, got
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: into legal trouble. The man was on something else. Now
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: I don't know what he didn't put on the weed.
- 1:04:09Speaker 1: You know, it's a little substance. You can sprinkle on
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: the weed. You know, ain't nobody dropping nothing in drinks.
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: That's a whole nother high. If you're sprinkling stuff in
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: a drink, you're on another high. If you're putting it
- 1:04:24Speaker 1: on the weed, that's a different high. If you're taking
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: pills for someone you know a lot all my friends
- 1:04:35Speaker 1: have been involved on a regular basis. I have recovering
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: everything in my life. Everything, Okay, I got partners. I
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: can't have a glass of Kanyac ground with my cigar
- 1:04:52Speaker 1: because they'll lose the rabbit ass man oh dahn. So
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: you're just gonna drink, you know, I'm I mean a okay,
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: gray dog. I forgot my bad. So I'm just saying
- 1:05:04Speaker 1: I don't know that i'd be so readily taken back.
- 1:05:07Speaker 1: You've been separated three years. Three months versus three years
- 1:05:11Speaker 1: is not long enough. I would let him come over
- 1:05:14Speaker 1: and visit the kids, of course, see how that go
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: for about a year before you even consider and see
- 1:05:21Speaker 1: if you can get the man back. But he has
- 1:05:24Speaker 1: to get rid of these thoughts that that ain't his child.
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: He got to get rid of all these thoughts about
- 1:05:29Speaker 1: who you sleeping with. Because cooling don't sound a lot
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: like sex. If if it's just cooling, you're not having,
- 1:05:36Speaker 1: that's not an adequate sex. Okay, that begs the question
- 1:05:44Speaker 1: what is adequate sex? Wants? Not adequate six adequate sexy?
- 1:06:03Speaker 1: Oh no you didn't you black? You really black, brandy?
- 1:06:12Speaker 1: Break shock, hold on, whoa wait a minute, don't stop,
- 1:06:19Speaker 1: get it, get it, Come on, big bath and get it.
- 1:06:23Speaker 1: Wait you get caught up. Okay, trick me, really really
- 1:06:31Speaker 1: back in, break me like a pancake. That's that's adequates.
- 1:06:39Speaker 1: That's when you say it's not cooing, that's for sure.
- 1:06:44Speaker 1: We're beyond cooing now all right, Uh, thank you Steve.
- 1:06:48Speaker 1: Post your comments on today's Strawberry Letter. It Steve Harvey
- 1:06:51Speaker 1: FM on Instagram and Facebook, and please check out the
- 1:06:54Speaker 1: Strawberry Letter podcast on demand. They're coming up with forty
- 1:06:57Speaker 1: six minutes after the hour, Junior and sports Stock right
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: after this, you're listening Morning show. All right, guys, get ready,
- 1:07:06Speaker 1: Junior is here with sport Stock. All right, here we go,
- 1:07:11Speaker 1: still trending the Western Conference Finals Lebron after the Davis
- 1:07:15Speaker 1: leading La Lakers with two nothing lead over the did
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: Tommy here? I said? I was saying again for him
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: that the Lebron Jason and the David and the Lakers
- 1:07:26Speaker 1: with two nothing lead? Nagas did he say twenty five?
- 1:07:35Speaker 1: I said a number? And you didn't agree to it? Okay,
- 1:07:38Speaker 1: So you gonna what you ain't gonna do is act
- 1:07:40Speaker 1: like we agreed on something. Stop that you want. This
- 1:07:50Speaker 1: is y'all charity. Bet No, not ain't. I didn't do it.
- 1:07:56Speaker 1: I didn't do enough money for him. You know, he
- 1:07:58Speaker 1: didn't want to go up and I didn't want to
- 1:08:00Speaker 1: go I wasn't going up. So no, oh, so it's no,
- 1:08:05Speaker 1: bet no, No, it's okay. Kareem Magic Bird, Michael Jordan
- 1:08:10Speaker 1: and let me tell you something, Isaiah Thomas said. He
- 1:08:13Speaker 1: said that Kareem Magic Bird, Uh, Jordan and himself had
- 1:08:17Speaker 1: great college coaches. He said, look at our coaching treat
- 1:08:21Speaker 1: look at our coaches in college. But Lebron James came
- 1:08:24Speaker 1: right out of high school. So I refer to him
- 1:08:26Speaker 1: as Einstein of basketball. That's a nice compliment. So are
- 1:08:32Speaker 1: we saying Lebron the Goats? It's going to be an
- 1:08:42Speaker 1: argument if this man was I know and and and
- 1:08:48Speaker 1: and and rightfully saw rightfully so six NBA championships with
- 1:08:56Speaker 1: the same team a great dynasty. But let me say this,
- 1:09:00Speaker 1: if this man gets an NBA final with every team,
- 1:09:06Speaker 1: he goes to Jesus, yeah, greatness that year. And I'm
- 1:09:14Speaker 1: gonna tell you something else. Jordan played fifteen years. Lebron
- 1:09:19Speaker 1: is in his seventeenth year and playing at this level.
- 1:09:26Speaker 1: No one in professional sports has ever played their sport
- 1:09:30Speaker 1: for seventeen years at this level. Right here, you still
- 1:09:34Speaker 1: can't stop Lebron James and no one can say he's
- 1:09:37Speaker 1: slowed down. Did you think Lebron should have got the
- 1:09:41Speaker 1: MVP this season? Up? Uh? I don't know. Oh yeah,
- 1:09:48Speaker 1: freak got it? Oh he cold now at yeah? Thank you? Junior?
- 1:09:55Speaker 1: Coming up? At the time of the hour. We'll have
- 1:09:56Speaker 1: more of the Sea Harvey Morning Show right after this.
- 1:10:00Speaker 1: You're listening to show, all right, Steve, some sad news
- 1:10:06Speaker 1: to report from a music world. Pamela Hutchinson, one of
- 1:10:10Speaker 1: the singers of the iconic group The Emotions, passed away
- 1:10:14Speaker 1: from health challenges she had been battling for years. The
- 1:10:17Speaker 1: Emotions were one of the most influential female groups of
- 1:10:21Speaker 1: all time. The Hutchinson sisters posted a statement on their
- 1:10:25Speaker 1: Facebook page. Now our beautiful sister will sing amongst the
- 1:10:29Speaker 1: angels in perfect peace. The Emotions may be best known
- 1:10:33Speaker 1: for their song best of My Love and their collabo
- 1:10:35Speaker 1: with Earthwind and Fire Boogie Wonderland. Of course, Steve, we're
- 1:10:40Speaker 1: all music lovers on this show. Talk a little bit
- 1:10:44Speaker 1: about The Emotions legacy if you will. I mean, you know,
- 1:10:47Speaker 1: you're talking about one of the great female vocal groups
- 1:10:50Speaker 1: of all time, who was introduced by Earthwind in five Yeah,
- 1:10:57Speaker 1: earth Wind and Fire introduced them all Boogie wonder Land
- 1:11:02Speaker 1: and they were met from Earth Winding Fire back when
- 1:11:09Speaker 1: earth Wind and Fire used to have one female in
- 1:11:12Speaker 1: the group, and then Maurice took the female out the
- 1:11:17Speaker 1: group because it was a distraction, you know, because she
- 1:11:21Speaker 1: was fine. So Earth Winning Fire always had an affinity
- 1:11:26Speaker 1: for female vocalists, and when they ran into the emotions,
- 1:11:31Speaker 1: they introduced them on Boogie Wonderland and then they spun
- 1:11:36Speaker 1: them off after that. You can hear the emotions on
- 1:11:39Speaker 1: a couple of Earth Winding Fire songs before they broke
- 1:11:42Speaker 1: and they harmony. They harmony. Man was just stup girls
- 1:11:47Speaker 1: right there. They tim girls could blow. Man, don't ask
- 1:11:52Speaker 1: my neighbors. Don't ask my neighbor? Is music? Right boy?
- 1:12:02Speaker 1: That stim right there? Yes, m that's harmon. Have you
- 1:12:07Speaker 1: ever heard this before? Doing you? Um? Nah? If you can,
- 1:12:14Speaker 1: you can hear me. I heard the timing, but I
- 1:12:21Speaker 1: was ro get to wait same girl, Yeah, you dance
- 1:12:39Speaker 1: and shake the terror. Hey, we're understood's working. Oh he's
- 1:12:55Speaker 1: spanking sank tworking down. I like it's ter tworking. But
- 1:13:00Speaker 1: the working work. They would want to see Steve Harvey twork.
- 1:13:10Speaker 1: You don't even understand. Oh it'll be up on Steve Harvey.
- 1:13:14Speaker 1: Yeah we got you. I swear to God, no be
- 1:13:26Speaker 1: no more damn shell everybody. You put that up and
- 1:13:31Speaker 1: see what happened tail dawn right now? Man. Emotions, yes,
- 1:13:46Speaker 1: musical so so much beautiful music from them, and our
- 1:13:50Speaker 1: condelence is, of course, go out to the Hutchinson family.
- 1:13:53Speaker 1: M you ever seen him in concert? Boy boy ask
- 1:14:00Speaker 1: me nothing like that question? Saw nissa? Wait how much concert?
- 1:14:08Speaker 1: Turned off? He said, turned off? He gotta things cut them?
- 1:14:11Speaker 1: Do you? Or you talk about setback money? Now? How
- 1:14:17Speaker 1: much it calls back? Then? Okay? Richfield called see him?
- 1:14:21Speaker 1: Donk open the back base. That's second third, Yeah, flow
- 1:14:36Speaker 1: seats God to be continued, and we'll talk about the
- 1:14:42Speaker 1: themes when we come back. More of the Steve Harvey
- 1:14:44Speaker 1: Morning Show twenty minutes after. Right after this, you're listening
- 1:14:47Speaker 1: to Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, So Steve, when
- 1:14:52Speaker 1: we left off, we were talking about um, of course
- 1:14:56Speaker 1: um Pamela Hutchinson of the emotions passed away, and then
- 1:14:59Speaker 1: we got into some concert talk. Junior asked you had
- 1:15:03Speaker 1: you seen them in concert? And Tommy asked you how
- 1:15:06Speaker 1: much did concert tickets cost back then? So let's take
- 1:15:10Speaker 1: it from there, because I asked you some dollars, Yeah,
- 1:15:13Speaker 1: twenty three dollars, dog, and I said that was all yeah,
- 1:15:19Speaker 1: And then I said you had to take a date,
- 1:15:23Speaker 1: a date, Yeah, but dollars date you went by yourself
- 1:15:29Speaker 1: to concert. I see, I had to go because the
- 1:15:32Speaker 1: girls I was dating didn't want to do the things.
- 1:15:35Speaker 1: See what he means. I went to the concert and
- 1:15:38Speaker 1: theme like when I wouldn't see LTD. That's when all
- 1:15:42Speaker 1: of them wore capes. You resilou have to sing it
- 1:15:47Speaker 1: so though it helps me through these hours I spent
- 1:15:56Speaker 1: away from you people. How I do it? Whoa? But
- 1:16:02Speaker 1: there ain't nothing too. I got to wear the cape
- 1:16:07Speaker 1: that they had on the album cover. Now the girl
- 1:16:11Speaker 1: Tricia Turner, she didn't want to wear no cape. Okay
- 1:16:13Speaker 1: with your ass, can't go to you. I'm not a
- 1:16:18Speaker 1: board with the theme because see I'm up top while
- 1:16:24Speaker 1: the while I come back and tell you all this.
- 1:16:26Speaker 1: All right, all right, all right, more yeah this when
- 1:16:29Speaker 1: we come back on the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Right
- 1:16:32Speaker 1: after this, you're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show. So Steve,
- 1:16:37Speaker 1: you were at the you were saying you were going
- 1:16:39Speaker 1: to the concert, and you're you didn't take a date
- 1:16:41Speaker 1: because they didn't want to do things. Tris Turner didn't
- 1:16:44Speaker 1: want to wear the cap. Didn't well, I'm wearing the things,
- 1:16:47Speaker 1: so I got perfect cape one platforms what the album
- 1:16:52Speaker 1: cover was why you just couldn't wear some clothes? Why
- 1:16:56Speaker 1: did you? Why would I not wear some gens to this?
- 1:17:03Speaker 1: But wait, let me ask you this were you're the
- 1:17:05Speaker 1: only one in the audience with the hell no oh,
- 1:17:09Speaker 1: hell no, hellno oh hell knock. But it ain't nobody
- 1:17:13Speaker 1: out themed me though, sister, that consult. So I bought
- 1:17:21Speaker 1: an eighteen twenty dollars ticket. I'm up at the top.
- 1:17:24Speaker 1: I'm jamming to the to the first act go off
- 1:17:27Speaker 1: because black people got that by the by the act
- 1:17:29Speaker 1: because it was hot, concerts hot. So when the first
- 1:17:32Speaker 1: act go off and the headlineer come on, that's when
- 1:17:36Speaker 1: I go down stairs and i'd watch the floor until
- 1:17:40Speaker 1: I see, you know, a flow seat open, so I
- 1:17:43Speaker 1: get out here down now. Then I'm doing like this
- 1:17:47Speaker 1: in the aisle until I see all happen. Then I
- 1:17:50Speaker 1: just slide on through and I was cool. So everybody
- 1:17:52Speaker 1: gonna come on a little bro, and I get right
- 1:17:54Speaker 1: in a little man. I see your boys got your
- 1:17:56Speaker 1: cape on. Yeah, and now I'm not. Now I'm on
- 1:17:58Speaker 1: the floor and then see, no girl wanted to do
- 1:18:01Speaker 1: all that, okay, yeah, and I don't want me looking
- 1:18:07Speaker 1: at her eyes this earth when the Fire LTD. I
- 1:18:11Speaker 1: saw the commodores like that, Oh don what does you
- 1:18:14Speaker 1: camp look like? Though? That's what I'm trying, just like
- 1:18:17Speaker 1: the one on the album. Listen, Tommy, are you talking
- 1:18:24Speaker 1: about how to phoenix on it? So okay? So Steve,
- 1:18:28Speaker 1: you told us a story one time about you went
- 1:18:30Speaker 1: to a concent you had a feather in your head.
- 1:18:32Speaker 1: Who that was? That was five when they came out
- 1:18:37Speaker 1: in the tps Earth when and Fire had a concert
- 1:18:40Speaker 1: where these tps came out, and then when the tps
- 1:18:43Speaker 1: disappeared Earth when the fire was standing right there, and
- 1:18:46Speaker 1: I'll be damned, they had on vest with moccasins and
- 1:18:49Speaker 1: and and suede pants with shingoes on them. I had
- 1:18:53Speaker 1: the vessel on the suede vast mind wasn't real Squaye
- 1:18:58Speaker 1: though it was ultra Swede. I got it have fabric
- 1:19:01Speaker 1: stove and I had the big throat with the band
- 1:19:04Speaker 1: down to tie around my head like Jimmy Hendrick, and
- 1:19:07Speaker 1: I had a feather in the side of it with it.
- 1:19:12Speaker 1: Look just Mike Mo take pictures of this dog dog
- 1:19:16Speaker 1: You dog dog. Back then you had to have a
- 1:19:18Speaker 1: big ass camera. You have big ass camera back then.
- 1:19:22Speaker 1: You can't camemel damn polaroid to the show. I ain't
- 1:19:30Speaker 1: got no pockets on my vest for that man. Cameras
- 1:19:37Speaker 1: was biggest hell back then. I got it all right, Steve,
- 1:19:44Speaker 1: coming up, it's our last break of the day, last's
- 1:19:49Speaker 1: break up the day, and you'll have some closing remarks
- 1:19:52Speaker 1: for us, and forty nine minutes after the hour, right
- 1:19:54Speaker 1: after the you're listening to show. Here we are, guys,
- 1:20:04Speaker 1: our last break of the day, and we have to
- 1:20:06Speaker 1: remind everyone don't forget make sure you tune in tomorrow
- 1:20:11Speaker 1: morning because Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden will be a
- 1:20:16Speaker 1: very special guest. We're so happy to have him. That'll
- 1:20:20Speaker 1: be at seven o'clock eastern, six Central. Don't miss it.
- 1:20:26Speaker 1: Joe Biden right here, right here. So exciting, indeed, Yeah,
- 1:20:30Speaker 1: this is exciting. Yeah, we're good. I'm going to ask
- 1:20:32Speaker 1: Hill what him and Senator Kamala Harris's plan is for
- 1:20:39Speaker 1: black America. People keep asking that question, and you know,
- 1:20:45Speaker 1: it's so hard for people to single out a group
- 1:20:49Speaker 1: of people, but we're in a culture now that's asking
- 1:20:53Speaker 1: to be singled out to become aware of some very
- 1:20:56Speaker 1: very unique problems that we have as a people of
- 1:21:00Speaker 1: color in this country. I was watching a show on
- 1:21:06Speaker 1: the NBA and Carrie Champion was hosting it on ESPN
- 1:21:10Speaker 1: and it was about race. And I don't know the
- 1:21:13Speaker 1: white guy's name, but he's a reporter. He did a
- 1:21:15Speaker 1: full report on how he feels as a white person
- 1:21:19Speaker 1: in this country and what he's learned from black people
- 1:21:23Speaker 1: doing this movement. It was so extremely compelling because he said,
- 1:21:30Speaker 1: even though I'm not black, how would I feel if
- 1:21:34Speaker 1: this were happening to me? Over and over and over again?
- 1:21:38Speaker 1: And it really made sense. And then they had the
- 1:21:42Speaker 1: woman on who I don't know her name, but an
- 1:21:45Speaker 1: older lady who was a teacher who did to study.
- 1:21:48Speaker 1: There's a video out of her asking room full of whites,
- 1:21:52Speaker 1: raise your hand, if you would trade places and accept
- 1:21:56Speaker 1: the behavior that's happening, accept the treatment that's happening to
- 1:22:00Speaker 1: black people, stand up, and none of the white stood up.
- 1:22:04Speaker 1: Say her name again, Jane Elliott, that's hurt. And then
- 1:22:08Speaker 1: she said, no, wait, I'm sorry, maybe you misunderstood the question.
- 1:22:11Speaker 1: I said, all of you that are white, stand up
- 1:22:15Speaker 1: if you would trade places with black people and receive
- 1:22:18Speaker 1: the treatment of black people. And they didn't stand up,
- 1:22:20Speaker 1: he said. She said, well, none of you stood up,
- 1:22:22Speaker 1: so obviously you must know how they're being treated you,
- 1:22:26Speaker 1: and you wouldn't want it to happen to you. There's
- 1:22:28Speaker 1: some compelling conversations that's happening now, but nothing is more
- 1:22:34Speaker 1: compelling than the message that's being sent from the White
- 1:22:38Speaker 1: House administration that currently holds a rank over there in
- 1:22:45Speaker 1: the White House. The Trump administration is clearly sending the
- 1:22:50Speaker 1: message loud and clear to black people that we don't
- 1:22:53Speaker 1: care about you at all. We don't give a damn
- 1:22:58Speaker 1: why you're protesting, We don't care what black lives matter
- 1:23:03Speaker 1: to you. We will not mention black lives matter because
- 1:23:08Speaker 1: to us, it doesn't matter. And as President Trump said,
- 1:23:13Speaker 1: you all must be drinking the racism kool aid, because
- 1:23:17Speaker 1: he thinks it's a drink that's concocted by liberals and
- 1:23:21Speaker 1: and and and and and socialists. Racism is not from
- 1:23:25Speaker 1: liberals and socialists. Racism is very, very real. But we
- 1:23:30Speaker 1: have a president who will not address racism because he
- 1:23:35Speaker 1: won't admit that it exists. You can't call, you can't
- 1:23:41Speaker 1: you can't fix a problem that you won't identify as
- 1:23:44Speaker 1: a problem. So if this man thinks there is no racism.
- 1:23:48Speaker 1: What's there to fix? He just simply wants to get back,
- 1:23:54Speaker 1: get America back to where it was when it was
- 1:23:56Speaker 1: great again. When was that for us? Where was it
- 1:24:01Speaker 1: better for us than it is today? And today ain't
- 1:24:05Speaker 1: really good. Look at what happens to us all year
- 1:24:09Speaker 1: long during the pandemic, which is what spurred the Black
- 1:24:12Speaker 1: Lives Matter movement. I'm saying all of this because I'm
- 1:24:15Speaker 1: trying to find a new way to get to you.
- 1:24:17Speaker 1: We have to vote, We have to vote. You have
- 1:24:20Speaker 1: to be sick and tired of this. I don't understand
- 1:24:22Speaker 1: as a black person, how you can sit here and
- 1:24:24Speaker 1: try to sit this one out when clearly you have
- 1:24:27Speaker 1: the power to change this election. Black people can decide it.
- 1:24:32Speaker 1: I heard of a Latino guys saying that Latinos can
- 1:24:38Speaker 1: determine this election. Do you know he's right? Do you
- 1:24:43Speaker 1: know he's absolutely correct, because if either one of us
- 1:24:47Speaker 1: went out and voted in masses, we could change the election.
- 1:24:51Speaker 1: Now suppose black and brown people felt the exact same way,
- 1:24:55Speaker 1: which I don't see how we don't they kill us
- 1:25:00Speaker 1: when they pull us over by the police. A lot
