- 0:01Speaker 1: You guys may know John Mellencamp. He's a singer songwriter.
- 0:04Speaker 1: You'll know his songs, most of you will. They're amazing.
- 0:07Speaker 1: They're songs that you can sing along to instantly. You
- 0:09Speaker 1: may not even know that he's the writer of the song,
- 0:11Speaker 1: but he's really, really, really good at music. John Mellencamp
- 0:15Speaker 1: has also been very outspoken about politics, and a lot
- 0:20Speaker 1: of his political statements he's made over the last several
- 0:23Speaker 1: years have turned out to be I think it's fair
- 0:26Speaker 1: to say disastrous if you look at the stats. He's
- 0:29Speaker 1: a guy that's hardcore anti Trump, for example, right, he's
- 0:32Speaker 1: a guy that loves Joe Biden and Biden nomics and
- 0:35Speaker 1: thought that the world was gonna be in a better
- 0:37Speaker 1: place if Joe Biden was elected.
- 0:38Speaker 2: Now, look, if you're gonna make political.
- 0:40Speaker 1: Statements, then you should expect to take some heat when
- 0:44Speaker 1: you're wrong. You should expect to take some heat even
- 0:46Speaker 1: when you're right.
- 0:47Speaker 2: It's part of my job. I have people. It's now
- 0:51Speaker 2: become so regular, and it's sad.
- 0:53Speaker 1: We don't have a lot of decency left in society
- 0:57Speaker 1: with some people. Everywhere that I travel now, I expect
- 1:01Speaker 1: somebody to say something to me or to give me
- 1:05Speaker 1: the finger, or to cust me out. It's become a
- 1:08Speaker 1: weekly event. I'm going to have more about this than
- 1:12Speaker 1: just a second. But first, let me tell you about
- 1:14Speaker 1: my friends at Patriot Mobile. For ten years now, Patriot
- 1:18Speaker 1: Mobile has been America's only Christian conservative wireless provider.
- 1:22Speaker 2: Why would you care about that because.
- 1:24Speaker 1: Big Mobile is giving big donations right now to hardcore
- 1:29Speaker 1: leftist causes organizations candidates.
- 1:33Speaker 2: Those include Planned Parenthood.
- 1:35Speaker 1: If you're like me and you're tired of giving your
- 1:38Speaker 1: money to cooperations that are literally fighting against your family values,
- 1:41Speaker 1: then switch to Patriot Mobile. When I look down at
- 1:44Speaker 1: my cell phone on the top left, it says Patriot
- 1:46Speaker 1: and I know, with every text and with every phone call,
- 1:49Speaker 1: I'm standing with a company that protects my values but
- 1:51Speaker 1: also gives back to what I believe in. When you
- 1:54Speaker 1: switch to Patriot Mobile, you're sending a message that you
- 1:56Speaker 1: support free speech, you're supporting religious freedom, You're supporting and
- 2:01Speaker 1: advocating and donating to protect the sanctity of life in
- 2:04Speaker 1: this country because five percent of your bill every month
- 2:07Speaker 1: goes back to conservative causes that you help choose to support.
- 2:12Speaker 1: We're talking about causes like protecting our Second Amendment rights,
- 2:15Speaker 1: for supporting our military, our veterans, are wounded warriors, and
- 2:19Speaker 1: our first responder heroes, just to name a few. Is
- 2:22Speaker 1: switching easy, you better believe it. You can keep your
- 2:24Speaker 1: same cell phone number you have right now, keep your
- 2:27Speaker 1: same cell phone, or upgrade to a new one.
- 2:30Speaker 2: Plus.
- 2:30Speaker 1: Patriot Mobile also is going to give you free activation
- 2:33Speaker 1: right now when you use the promo code.
- 2:36Speaker 2: Ben.
- 2:36Speaker 1: All you got to do is call them nine to
- 2:38Speaker 1: seven to two Patriot. It's nine seven to two Patriot,
- 2:42Speaker 1: nine to seven two Patriot. Get rid of that woke
- 2:46Speaker 1: phone company you have right now and switch to Patriot Mobile.
- 2:49Speaker 1: Patriotmobile dot com slash ferguson. That's Patriot Mobile dot com
- 2:54Speaker 1: slash ferguson or nine seven to two Patriot.
- 2:56Speaker 2: All right now.
- 2:57Speaker 1: I was on a plane to New York City to
- 3:01Speaker 1: host out Numbered on Fox News Channel, And this was yesterday,
- 3:06Speaker 1: and there was somebody on the plane that mouthed off,
- 3:09Speaker 1: and I just smile and grinned because I don't care,
- 3:14Speaker 1: and I'm not going to get into an argument on
- 3:15Speaker 1: a flight like that, Like that's not what I want
- 3:18Speaker 1: to do, right So I just hope that's all right.
- 3:20Speaker 1: You got that off your chest. I hope you feel
- 3:22Speaker 1: good about yourself. You had your moment. I don't give
- 3:24Speaker 1: you a reaction. I smile and grin. Guys sitting next
- 3:28Speaker 1: to me looks at me. He's like, dude, what was
- 3:29Speaker 1: that about. I'm like, I work in TV and politics,
- 3:32Speaker 1: and I said, welcome to American others.
- 3:34Speaker 2: We've lost all civility.
- 3:36Speaker 1: Now here's the part that makes me laugh about these rich,
- 3:40Speaker 1: entitled individuals like John Mellencamp. They believe that they should
- 3:44Speaker 1: be able to spout out on stage to you and
- 3:47Speaker 1: write lyrics about how you're an ignorant, white trash dumb
- 3:52Speaker 1: a redneck if you voted for Donald Trump, and.
- 3:55Speaker 2: You're supposed to just take it.
- 3:58Speaker 1: And when they get it wrong right after they make
- 4:02Speaker 1: money off of mocking you in society and flyover country,
- 4:06Speaker 1: and then someone in the audience decides to fight back
- 4:09Speaker 1: or make a comment, they can't handle it because they
- 4:13Speaker 1: are dictators on stage right.
- 4:15Speaker 2: They're not.
- 4:16Speaker 1: It's not a democracy to them. That's my show. I'm famous.
- 4:19Speaker 1: You're a minion, you're a peon. You're the one that
- 4:21Speaker 1: paid one hundred and twenty dollars for that ticket. Shut
- 4:23Speaker 1: up and sit down, and I want you to hear
- 4:27Speaker 1: John Mellencamp.
- 4:28Speaker 2: He did an interview about a year ago.
- 4:31Speaker 1: With Dan Rather, who still does these sit down interviews
- 4:36Speaker 1: with Access TV. And I want you to hear what
- 4:39Speaker 1: he had to say about politics, because I think it's
- 4:40Speaker 1: important for you to hear this and put it in
- 4:43Speaker 1: perspective with what happened is at his concert last night.
- 4:46Speaker 3: Listen writing songs that resonate with what some people call
- 4:52Speaker 3: quote conservative americal or reactionary America, people on the right
- 4:57Speaker 3: hand side of the liverpoo expect. But were you ever
- 5:02Speaker 3: worried that your lyrics or the songs might cost you
- 5:05Speaker 3: something in the marketplace, or did you ever think about that.
- 5:09Speaker 4: I am the most liberal person you know. I told
- 5:14Speaker 4: Obama to his face. I said, man, you're just not
- 5:20Speaker 4: liberal enough for me. And this is when he was
- 5:23Speaker 4: running for the first time. He was in Boston. They
- 5:28Speaker 4: had the Democratic National Convention and I played at the convention.
- 5:33Speaker 4: I remember that, and he gave that great speech and
- 5:36Speaker 4: I was talking to him and I just say, man,
- 5:38Speaker 4: you're just not.
- 5:38Speaker 2: Liberal or not.
- 5:40Speaker 4: And you know, so if I am relating to conservative listeners,
- 5:47Speaker 4: they're not listening to the songs you know, if your
- 5:51Speaker 4: goal is to be as big and as popular and
- 5:55Speaker 4: as famous as you can be, then you're in a
- 5:58Speaker 4: different business that I'm in.
- 6:01Speaker 2: That's not my goal now.
- 6:02Speaker 4: I have as I will quote my girlfriend who said
- 6:05Speaker 4: to me, John, we've already both been to the moon.
- 6:09Speaker 4: We don't need to go there again.
- 6:12Speaker 2: And she was right.
- 6:13Speaker 4: I've been to the moon and I've found a bunch
- 6:15Speaker 4: of dead beats up there. I don't need to go back.
- 6:19Speaker 1: So that's the mentality of John Mellencamp right. Anyone who
- 6:24Speaker 1: disagrees with him is a deadbeat. Everyone that disagrees with
- 6:30Speaker 1: him as an idiot. If no one can be liberal enough.
- 6:35Speaker 1: So fast forward till last night. There was somebody in
- 6:40Speaker 1: the audience that was calling out John Mellencamp for some
- 6:44Speaker 1: of his political statements, and this guy's political making political.
- 6:48Speaker 2: Statements on stage.
- 6:50Speaker 1: And then someone fights back and he doesn't like it,
- 6:53Speaker 1: and so this is what he says, and this is
- 6:55Speaker 1: what he does.
- 6:56Speaker 2: Listen, it's amazing. Whoa.
- 7:02Speaker 1: Now the guy just yelled, hey man, just play some music.
- 7:05Speaker 1: In other words, stop your politics up here. I came
- 7:09Speaker 1: to see you play music. Just play some music. John
- 7:14Speaker 1: Mellencamp looks down at the guy.
- 7:19Speaker 2: What do you think I mean, here's your thing, man,
- 7:23Speaker 2: You don't know me.
- 7:26Speaker 5: You don't you know me?
- 7:32Speaker 2: And Joe.
- 7:32Speaker 4: Find this guy and let me see him after the show.
- 7:36Speaker 1: Find this guy and let me see him after the show.
- 7:42Speaker 1: You hear that you don't know me? Calls them a
- 7:46Speaker 1: you know what sucker, and he says, you don't know me.
- 7:49Speaker 1: Find me after the show.
- 7:51Speaker 2: Guys, I can stop this show right now and just stop.
- 7:56Speaker 2: I can stop this show right now and just go home. Now.
- 7:59Speaker 1: This is liberalism. It's it's it's it's derangement. It's trumped arrangement,
- 8:03Speaker 1: sending to rum right, Oh, I can. I can espouse
- 8:06Speaker 1: my politics and tell you why you're wrong. But if
- 8:08Speaker 1: you say something back to me about just playing music
- 8:11Speaker 1: and stop being a tool, right because I didn't come
- 8:13Speaker 1: here for a political speech, then this is the threat,
- 8:16Speaker 1: right like you minions out there, you worthless Americans who
- 8:19Speaker 1: have made me rich and famous.
- 8:21Speaker 2: I'm so rich and famous now I actually don't have
- 8:23Speaker 2: to deal with you.
- 8:25Speaker 1: I don't have to deal with you man, right because
- 8:27Speaker 1: I'm John Mellencamp and I can look at you and
- 8:29Speaker 1: call you a blank sucker and tell y'all see you
- 8:33Speaker 1: after the show. So, oh, it gets better.
- 8:37Speaker 2: I'm gonna do it.
- 8:39Speaker 4: Since you've been so wonderful, I'm gonna cut about ten
- 8:42Speaker 4: songs out of a show.
- 8:44Speaker 2: There you go, so there you go?
- 8:46Speaker 1: Right, Since you guys have been so wonderful, since one
- 8:48Speaker 1: of you got out of line and didn't like my politics,
- 8:53Speaker 1: I'm gonna cut ten songs out of the show to
- 8:55Speaker 1: punish you, the people that pay me. But again, I'm
- 9:01Speaker 1: so rich, I'm so wealthy, I'm so famous, I'm so
- 9:05Speaker 1: above you, and you people that buy my tickets are
- 9:08Speaker 1: are are? Are are beneath me? I'm gonna cut ten
- 9:12Speaker 1: songs out of my set?
- 9:15Speaker 2: How you like them? Apples? Alwa's not done?
- 9:17Speaker 5: Keep listening.
- 9:36Speaker 1: There it is stops a song mid song about Jack
- 9:40Speaker 1: and Diane and says, you know what shows over when
- 9:47Speaker 1: I tell you that liberals are the most intolerant people
- 9:49Speaker 1: that I've ever met. This is just another long list
- 9:53Speaker 1: of the examples of just how intolerant the left has become.
- 9:59Speaker 1: And when they get it and you tell them they
- 10:01Speaker 1: get it wrong, or you tell someone hey, can you
- 10:03Speaker 1: just shut up and play music? Basically like I'm not
- 10:06Speaker 1: here for your politics, bro, You don't know me.
- 10:10Speaker 2: I'll meet you after the show.
- 10:11Speaker 1: You know what, I'm gonna punish the entire audience. I'm
- 10:15Speaker 1: going to I'm gonna punish every one of you minions.
- 10:20Speaker 1: And guess what, I've already got your money, so I
- 10:22Speaker 1: don't even have to give you anything else. I'm gonna
- 10:25Speaker 1: cut ten songs out of this and you know what, No,
- 10:27Speaker 1: I'm gonna start a song that everybody loves, get you
- 10:30Speaker 1: guys to sing along for five ten seconds, and then
- 10:33Speaker 1: on top of that, I'm gonna quit the show.
- 10:35Speaker 2: How's that, you blank suckers.
- 10:38Speaker 1: This is how intolerant the Democratic Party has become.
- 10:42Speaker 2: And even at a concert now they will go rogue
- 10:45Speaker 2: on you.
- 10:47Speaker 1: Now, what happened with John at his concert is really,
- 10:50Speaker 1: honestly no different than what we're witnessing now in Washington,
- 10:53Speaker 1: d C. With the Democratic Party when it comes to
- 10:56Speaker 1: funding for Israel.
- 10:57Speaker 2: What I mean by this, Well, the the US not.
- 11:01Speaker 1: Only have said to Israel, if you strike back in Iran,
- 11:03Speaker 1: you'll do it alone. In the US military says they
- 11:07Speaker 1: will not help Israel if they do strike back against Iran.
- 11:12Speaker 2: That's number one.
- 11:13Speaker 1: But we also know now they won't give the funding
- 11:15Speaker 1: needed for Israel to protect and defend itself through Congress
- 11:20Speaker 1: without them tying it to other things at the left demands.
- 11:24Speaker 2: What do I mean by that?
- 11:25Speaker 1: Apparently we have to fund all of the other liberal
- 11:29Speaker 1: agenda items, every single one of them. And if we
- 11:34Speaker 1: don't fund them in a big bill together so that
- 11:38Speaker 1: everything comes together right in a certain way where all
- 11:42Speaker 1: the other port barrel spending projects of the left, then
- 11:45Speaker 1: Israel will be held hostage while they're literally under attack.
- 11:49Speaker 1: We also have been told now that House Speaker Mike
- 11:51Speaker 1: Johnson announces the House will vote on measures for Ukraine
- 11:55Speaker 1: AID and Israel AID in announcing the plan for the
- 12:01Speaker 1: Congressional Chamber to vote on measures that would provide USA
- 12:04Speaker 1: to countries such as Israel and Ukraine. Now, before you
- 12:07Speaker 1: get angry at Johnson, I want you to understand that
- 12:10Speaker 1: Johnson's not an idiot.
- 12:12Speaker 2: Johnson understands that we need to get.
- 12:14Speaker 1: Funding to Israel, and we may have to make a
- 12:18Speaker 1: deal with the devil, meaning the Democratic Party to get
- 12:21Speaker 1: that money to Israel. I'm gonna explain all this before
- 12:23Speaker 1: you cast stones at him. I just want you to
- 12:25Speaker 1: understand there is perspective here on what would happen in
- 12:28Speaker 1: the Senate, which is not controlled by the Republicans. Johnson
- 12:31Speaker 1: said there will be votes on the measures separately in
- 12:34Speaker 1: four different pieces. Now that's the part that's important for
- 12:37Speaker 1: you to understand, because there's been a lot of people
- 12:39Speaker 1: in conservative media that have been over reacting to Johnson's
- 12:43Speaker 1: plan and they don't understand it.
- 12:45Speaker 2: I made a lot of phone calls last night.
- 12:48Speaker 1: To make sure I understood exactly what the plan of
- 12:50Speaker 1: the speaker was. So the measure is to I'm quoting
- 12:55Speaker 1: measures separately in four different pieces. That will cover assistance
- 12:59Speaker 1: for then another piece will cover assistance for Ukraine, and
- 13:06Speaker 1: then another piece will cover the Indo Pacific, and the
- 13:10Speaker 1: other will be about issues pertaining to national security priorities represented.
- 13:16Speaker 1: Marjorie Taylor Green said she believes this is the wrong direction, saying, quote,
- 13:21Speaker 1: our border is the number one policy issue that voters
- 13:24Speaker 1: care about all over the countries, she said, so she
- 13:26Speaker 1: believes this is somehow wrong. She said, everyone is having
- 13:31Speaker 1: to pay taxes right tax Day was the fifteenth. Everyone's
- 13:34Speaker 1: having to pay their irs taxes to fund a government
- 13:37Speaker 1: that doesn't care about fixing the problems in America. She said, Instead,
- 13:40Speaker 1: we're funding endless foreign wars and countries most Americans can't
- 13:43Speaker 1: find on a map. The American people, she went on
- 13:47Speaker 1: to say, are sick and tired of this. Here's a
- 13:50Speaker 1: little bit from the congresswoman who believes that we should
- 13:54Speaker 1: just be able to do one thing only at a time.
- 13:56Speaker 1: I love the idea, it's also not reality, thoughts.
- 14:01Speaker 2: What is your real many?
- 14:04Speaker 6: I am firmly against the plan as it stands right now.
- 14:08Speaker 6: Here's what Republican voters across the country know. They know
- 14:11Speaker 6: that Speaker Johnson passed a two part omnibus that funded
- 14:14Speaker 6: Biden's open border deadly open border policies, funded the DOJ,
- 14:19Speaker 6: which has ninety one federal indictments against President Trump and
- 14:22Speaker 6: wants to put him in jail for the rest of
- 14:23Speaker 6: his life.
- 14:24Speaker 2: Funded the FBI.
- 14:25Speaker 6: That rated Marlago and gave him a brand new building.
- 14:29Speaker 6: Now he's telling American telling Republican voters that he's going
- 14:33Speaker 6: to put Ukraine money for sixty billion dollars, supposedly broken
- 14:36Speaker 6: down to make it more appealing, somehow of funding for Taiwan,
- 14:41Speaker 6: funding for Israel, and then some sort of national security
- 14:44Speaker 6: package that includes the TikTok ban, which, by the way,
- 14:47Speaker 6: there's a lot of Republican voters on TikTok, and Republican
- 14:50Speaker 6: voters are angry at Facebook and Instagram for being censored,
- 14:55Speaker 6: and are angry at sissek and DHS for spying on
- 14:58Speaker 6: Americans in Facebook and formally Twitter. This is such a
- 15:01Speaker 6: scam and people are so done with it. People care
- 15:05Speaker 6: about actions. They're tired of Republicans going out and promising
- 15:09Speaker 6: all these promises and saying how we're fighting for America
- 15:12Speaker 6: and then sending their hard earned tax dollars. By the way,
- 15:15Speaker 6: today's tax day, April fifteenth, everyone's having to pay the
- 15:19Speaker 6: irs to fund this government that doesn't care about actually
- 15:22Speaker 6: fixing the problems here at home. They just want to
- 15:25Speaker 6: kick the can down the road. And people are not
- 15:28Speaker 6: going to like any of this. They're going to be
- 15:29Speaker 6: angry about it. And I think this is I think
- 15:32Speaker 6: it's another wrong direction for Speaker Johnson in our conference.
- 15:39Speaker 1: Plan.
- 15:40Speaker 6: I haven't decided on that yet, but I just stood
- 15:42Speaker 6: in the conference and told basically my entire conference that
- 15:46Speaker 6: right there, and I just think this.
- 15:48Speaker 2: Is the wrong direction to go.
- 15:50Speaker 6: Our border is the number one policy issue that voters
- 15:54Speaker 6: care about all across the country, and the Senate has
- 15:58Speaker 6: not taken up a vote on a two our border
- 16:01Speaker 6: package that we sent over there. They're just demanding that
- 16:04Speaker 6: the House vote to fund Ukraine, vote to fund Taiwan,
- 16:08Speaker 6: and send more money to Israel, claiming that our military
- 16:12Speaker 6: is running out of ammunition. Well, you want to know
- 16:14Speaker 6: something of these people in there cared about our military,
- 16:17Speaker 6: why don't we do a separate bill to fund and
- 16:20Speaker 6: rebuild our military with ammunition and supplies without having to
- 16:23Speaker 6: fund a foreign war to do that.
- 16:25Speaker 1: Ukraine has been a redline for you in the past,
- 16:27Speaker 1: and you've said even recently when you followed the original MERSI.
- 16:29Speaker 6: I didn't say Ukraine alone. I said we should not
- 16:32Speaker 6: put Ukraine money before our border.
- 16:34Speaker 2: And that's what I said.
- 16:35Speaker 6: What is part of your consideration now as you designed
- 16:37Speaker 6: what you're going to do here?
- 16:38Speaker 2: Where do you why? What process?
- 16:39Speaker 6: I'm telling you exactly what my thoughts are unfiltered as
- 16:43Speaker 6: I walked out of the conference.
- 16:44Speaker 5: Right there.
- 16:45Speaker 1: You listen to Marjorie Taylor Green and there's a lot
- 16:48Speaker 1: that she said there that I agree with. But this
- 16:50Speaker 1: is the part that worries me about the Republican Party
- 16:53Speaker 1: right now. You don't always get what you want, and
- 16:58Speaker 1: we have a government that's set up where when you
- 17:03Speaker 1: don't have the majority in the Senate and you barely
- 17:06Speaker 1: have the majority in the House, you can't have a
- 17:09Speaker 1: dictatorship because there's somebody else on the other.
- 17:11Speaker 2: Side that believes the complete opposite of you in a way.
- 17:13Speaker 1: Now, do I believe that we should be giving all
- 17:16Speaker 1: this money and all the things that she mentioned? No,
- 17:18Speaker 1: I don't, But I also know there has to be
- 17:20Speaker 1: some level of compromise. And what's happening now, and this
- 17:24Speaker 1: is what I think so many conservatives he'd understand, is
- 17:27Speaker 1: if you are a conservative right now and you have
- 17:30Speaker 1: this one two person majority in the House, you can
- 17:34Speaker 1: become very famous, very quickly by threatening to vacate the
- 17:37Speaker 1: speaker's office. Was exactly what happened last time to the
- 17:40Speaker 1: last speaker, Okay, and Kevin McCarthy. And the amount of
- 17:44Speaker 1: press and power, I mean, the amount of press that
- 17:48Speaker 1: people like Byron Donald's of Florida, or Lowen Bobert of Colorado,
- 17:53Speaker 1: or or Marjorie Taylor Green have, I mean, Warren Burber
- 17:55Speaker 1: put this out closing the southern border is nowhere to
- 17:57Speaker 1: be found. Her response to a tweet that was put
- 18:00Speaker 1: out there by Speaker Johnson. So I've spoken with a
- 18:03Speaker 1: House GOP conference on my planned address affical security supplemental
- 18:07Speaker 1: legislation on the growing security crisis.
- 18:08Speaker 2: This week, we will consider separate bills with a structured.
- 18:11Speaker 1: And germane amendment process to fund our ally Israel.
- 18:17Speaker 2: He goes on another list.
- 18:19Speaker 1: But again, this is what Democrats are loving about Republicans
- 18:23Speaker 1: right now, is that we can't get our act together
- 18:26Speaker 1: to get anything done because we have so much infighting
- 18:29Speaker 1: and every time Speaker Johnson has to make a compromise,
- 18:32Speaker 1: and when you have a slim majority so none, you
- 18:34Speaker 1: have to make compromises.
- 18:35Speaker 2: That's governing. That's governing, folks.
- 18:39Speaker 1: And we can sit here and keep getting our brains
- 18:41Speaker 1: beat in if we if we hold the line and
- 18:44Speaker 1: refuse to compromise, because every time that we refuse to
- 18:47Speaker 1: compromise on anything, we lose because they have the votes
- 18:51Speaker 1: to beat us.
- 18:51Speaker 2: So we're losing. That's the truth.
- 18:54Speaker 1: Now, we can sit here on our principles forever and
- 18:56Speaker 1: we're going to lose the House.
- 18:59Speaker 2: It will happen, Mark my word.
- 19:00Speaker 1: Democrats will be in charge of the House before of
- 19:03Speaker 1: the election if we continue to act this way. This
- 19:06Speaker 1: is the warning I would love to have a big
- 19:10Speaker 1: majority in the House. I'd love to have victories. I'd
- 19:13Speaker 1: love for us to be able to dictate to Democrats.
- 19:16Speaker 1: I'd love it if every Republican in the House was
- 19:18Speaker 1: lock step with one another.
- 19:19Speaker 2: The reality is that's not going to happen right now.
- 19:22Speaker 1: We have a slim majority, and that means that the
- 19:24Speaker 1: moderate Republicans also have just as much power as the
- 19:27Speaker 1: Marjorie Taylor Greens, or the Lauren Boberts or the Byron Nelson.
- 19:32Speaker 1: Like if I was in the House right now, I
- 19:35Speaker 1: think many of you know me pretty well. I would
- 19:37Speaker 1: be more of a hardcore conservative, principled individual who would
- 19:42Speaker 1: be fighting.
- 19:43Speaker 2: But I'm also not an idiot.
- 19:45Speaker 1: I understand how democracy works and how votes work, and
- 19:48Speaker 1: how governing works.
- 19:49Speaker 2: And sometimes the job.
- 19:50Speaker 1: When you get sent to Washington is to do the
- 19:53Speaker 1: best deal you can get for your constituents and not
- 19:56Speaker 1: walk around like you're a terrorist.
- 19:57Speaker 2: Okay, if I don't get what I want, you're not
- 19:59Speaker 2: going to get to be this anymore.
- 20:01Speaker 1: Why do you think some of me moderate Republicans have
- 20:04Speaker 1: quit the House because they say it's the most dysfunctional house.
- 20:08Speaker 1: Excuse me, it's the most dysfunctional house they've ever seen.
- 20:13Speaker 1: No one's getting anything done right now because no one
- 20:15Speaker 1: can move because they're paralyzed by a few members. Lauren
- 20:20Speaker 1: Bobert is a great example of this, and I like
- 20:22Speaker 1: her energy. I really do the House Freedom Cack has
- 20:26Speaker 1: issued a statement expressing support for the prospect of Israel AID,
- 20:29Speaker 1: while declaring that it would not abide using the emergency
- 20:33Speaker 1: situation Israel as a bogus justification to ram through Ukraine
- 20:36Speaker 1: AID with no offset and no security for our own
- 20:41Speaker 1: wide open borders. Now, I agree we need to dig
- 20:44Speaker 1: in here. The question is for how long? And do
- 20:48Speaker 1: you do it indefinitely? Knowing that you're one vote away
- 20:52Speaker 1: from total disaster. And let's say that we've moved to vacate,
- 20:56Speaker 1: you know, as Marjorie Taylor Green was talking about a
- 20:59Speaker 1: second ago, and you get rid of Mike Johnson, who's
- 21:03Speaker 1: gonna get.
- 21:03Speaker 2: The job next?
- 21:05Speaker 1: Let's say that we give it to a hardcore conservative, right,
- 21:09Speaker 1: the people that believe they are the most conservative of all,
- 21:11Speaker 1: like Marjorie. You think anybody's gonna follow her. She wouldn't
- 21:15Speaker 1: win the speaker's vote. So that's done Byron Donalds, who
- 21:18Speaker 1: I like. Is that guy gonna become the speaker?
- 21:21Speaker 3: No?
- 21:21Speaker 1: Is he gonna get the majority of the votes? No,
- 21:23Speaker 1: so that guy's done. Lauren Bobert, Let's go with Lauren Bobert.
- 21:27Speaker 1: For example, you think Lauren Bobert is gonna get the
- 21:30Speaker 1: votes seed to become speaker?
- 21:32Speaker 2: No, so that idea is done. U. Matt Gates.
- 21:35Speaker 1: Let's go with Matt Gates. Okay, is he gonna get
- 21:37Speaker 1: the speakership? No, so that that idea is done. So so,
- 21:40Speaker 1: who are you gonna get If you're gonna replace Kevin
- 21:42Speaker 1: McCarthy with Mike Johnson, and Mike Johnson isn't good enough
- 21:45Speaker 1: for you while you have a extremely slim majority.
- 21:50Speaker 2: Who are you gonna get next? That's gonna be good? Right?
- 21:53Speaker 5: Like?
- 21:53Speaker 2: Who is that gonna be? Speaker? Johnson put out his tweet.
- 21:56Speaker 2: I want to go back this, he said, I'm smoking.
- 21:58Speaker 1: With the House up conference, I planned to addressed National
- 22:01Speaker 1: Security supplemental legislation on the growing security crisis. This week,
- 22:04Speaker 1: we will consider separate bills with a structured and germane
- 22:07Speaker 1: amendment process to quote one fund our ally Israel, two
- 22:12Speaker 1: support Ukraine and its war against Russian aggression. Three Strengthen
- 22:15Speaker 1: our allies the Indo Pacific four pass additional measures accounter
- 22:21Speaker 1: our adversaries and strengthen our national security. Now there are
- 22:24Speaker 1: people that say, well, you need to have something in
- 22:26Speaker 1: there on border security. I'm also a realist here. You
- 22:30Speaker 1: could pass the most incredible border security bill in history
- 22:34Speaker 1: of the United States of America. And it doesn't matter
- 22:36Speaker 1: right now because the Senate will not pass it because
- 22:39Speaker 1: the Senate is run by Democrats.
- 22:42Speaker 2: That's the reality.
- 22:44Speaker 1: So you can sit here and you can, in fact,
- 22:47Speaker 1: you can pass legislation to finish the wall.
- 22:50Speaker 2: Does it matter, No, because you don't have the votes
- 22:53Speaker 2: in the Senate. And we've done this.
- 22:55Speaker 1: Remember when we did this, like over and over and
- 22:57Speaker 1: over again. How many times we passed the border security
- 23:01Speaker 1: funding over and over again when Trump was in office, right,
- 23:03Speaker 1: and then the Democrats and Senate we had all these fights.
- 23:06Speaker 2: Remember all that, right, right? You remember you remember when
- 23:09Speaker 2: that happened?
- 23:09Speaker 1: Like that happened not that long ago, folks, And then
- 23:13Speaker 1: it became a procedural process. I'm the most conservative. I
- 23:16Speaker 1: just passed it again. No no, no, I'm the most conservative.
- 23:18Speaker 1: I just passed again. No no, no, I'm the most conservative.
- 23:22Speaker 1: I passed it again. That that's what happens. Okay, Like
- 23:26Speaker 1: that's that's the ballgame, folks. And we did that over
- 23:30Speaker 1: and over again and none of it passed. Ever, you
- 23:33Speaker 1: want to get stuff done, we need to send better
- 23:35Speaker 1: conservatives to Congress, no doubt about it. We need to
- 23:37Speaker 1: send better conservatives to the Senate, no doubt about it.
- 23:40Speaker 1: But if you don't have the majority, it doesn't matter.
- 23:42Speaker 1: And even if we got that passed, and let's just
- 23:45Speaker 1: say by some And this is the conversation I have
- 23:48Speaker 1: with because I've been watching this guy since I was
- 23:50Speaker 1: twelve years old. I started studying Congress hardcore when Newt
- 23:55Speaker 1: Gingrich was a speaker and the Contract of America happened,
- 23:59Speaker 1: and it was a brilliant to get a bunch of
- 24:01Speaker 1: stuff done real early on.
- 24:02Speaker 2: It was amazing.
- 24:04Speaker 1: Okay, And they did it in nineteen ninety four, and
- 24:08Speaker 1: they came in with an agenda, but they had the votes,
- 24:10Speaker 1: and they had enough votes to be able to do
- 24:12Speaker 1: it even while losing some conservative votes. I would love
- 24:16Speaker 1: to do another contract with America. I'd love to come
- 24:18Speaker 1: in and have a list. But let's just say that
- 24:20Speaker 1: we passed this massive border security build today. Let's say
- 24:23Speaker 1: we did it in the House, and it went to
- 24:26Speaker 1: the Senate, and let's say there were some senators that
- 24:28Speaker 1: defected from the Democratic Party and voted for it, which
- 24:31Speaker 1: they wouldn't, but let's just hypothetically say they would.
- 24:33Speaker 2: Then we go to the president. You think the President's
- 24:35Speaker 2: going to sign it?
- 24:35Speaker 6: Now?
- 24:36Speaker 2: Of course not.
- 24:38Speaker 1: But all of what I just said was a complete
- 24:39Speaker 1: hypothetical that would never happen because we don't have the
- 24:42Speaker 1: votes in the House to do it the right way,
- 24:44Speaker 1: much less the Senate. Now, let me make a comparison here,
- 24:48Speaker 1: and this is the full circle, and this is the
- 24:51Speaker 1: most important part of what I'm going to probably say
- 24:53Speaker 1: today on this issue. Just like I told you and
- 24:56Speaker 1: explain John Mellencamp earlier, right, guy walks up there, this
- 25:00Speaker 1: is what I believe, This is what I demand. Okay,
- 25:02Speaker 1: this is what I want. And if you guys in
- 25:06Speaker 1: the minute don't agree with me, then I'm gonna take
- 25:08Speaker 1: my toys and I'm gonna go home. Is that any
- 25:11Speaker 1: different of a ridiculous stand than what some of the
- 25:15Speaker 1: Republicans are doing in the House. Right If I don't
- 25:17Speaker 1: give what I want, I'm gonna I'm gonna I'm gonna
- 25:19Speaker 1: blow up everything here. I'm gonna blow up the speakership.
- 25:22Speaker 1: We won't have a speaker. We're gonna get another speaker.
- 25:24Speaker 1: We're gonna do this all over again, and we're gonna
- 25:26Speaker 1: be dysfunctional. Is that any difference of a stance in
- 25:29Speaker 1: John Mellencamp, You either agree with me or I quit
- 25:31Speaker 1: playing for you.
- 25:33Speaker 5: Right.
- 25:34Speaker 2: If you don't agree with me, I'm gonna take ten
- 25:35Speaker 2: songs off the list.
- 25:37Speaker 1: Is that any different than holding hostage on the other side?
- 25:40Speaker 1: I mean, both sides can do this, folks, John Mellencamp,
- 25:44Speaker 1: let me go back to it.
- 25:45Speaker 2: I want to play it for you.
- 25:46Speaker 1: Okay, this guy yells out, just shut up and sing right,
- 25:49Speaker 1: And John Mellencamp's like, you don't understand.
- 25:50Speaker 2: You guys are minions.
- 25:51Speaker 1: I'll go home, I'll take my music, my guitar, and
- 25:53Speaker 1: I'll leave quiet.
- 25:59Speaker 2: Just play some music.
- 26:01Speaker 5: Right.
- 26:04Speaker 2: What do you think I've inji you? Yeah, here's the thing, man, you.
- 26:08Speaker 5: Don't know me. You don't know me.
- 26:16Speaker 2: Hey, Joe, find this guy and then they see him
- 26:19Speaker 2: after the show. Guys, I can stop this show right now.
- 26:22Speaker 2: I'm just going s what I'm gonna do.
- 26:28Speaker 4: Since you've been so wonderful, I'm gonna cut about ten
- 26:31Speaker 4: songs out of the show.
- 26:33Speaker 2: Here we go.
- 26:38Speaker 6: Jack had his game.
- 26:48Speaker 2: Shows over. You know what, show's over.
- 26:54Speaker 1: That's no different than what Marjorie Taylor Green's doing right
- 26:56Speaker 1: now on every issue. You can't govern this way. We
- 27:03Speaker 1: as Conservatives are getting laughed at by the Democratic Party
- 27:08Speaker 1: because we have a majority in the House. And every
- 27:10Speaker 1: time we dig in this way, the same exact thing happens,
- 27:13Speaker 1: over and over and over and over and over again. Okay,
- 27:18Speaker 1: over and over and over again, the same exact thing happens.
- 27:25Speaker 1: We have four or five people who are holding a
- 27:27Speaker 1: legislative agenda hostage on the Republican side, and they have
- 27:31Speaker 1: enough Sigo fans around them that are obsessed with them,
- 27:34Speaker 1: like you're.
- 27:34Speaker 2: Not the right thing.
- 27:35Speaker 1: Way to stick it to them, Way to stand up
- 27:37Speaker 1: to Johnson, wait to stand up to the Republicans, Way to
- 27:39Speaker 1: stand up to all these people that are doing all
- 27:40Speaker 1: these things. Way to go, don't don't don't stop, right,
- 27:43Speaker 1: don't whatever you do, don't stop.
- 27:44Speaker 2: You just keep sticking it to the man.
- 27:47Speaker 1: Doesn't mean we're winning, doesn't mean that we're moving in
- 27:50Speaker 1: the right direction, doesn't mean that we're this is some
- 27:55Speaker 1: sort of big success that's happening. I want to be clear.
- 28:00Speaker 1: You gotta look at what you want, and you gotta
- 28:01Speaker 1: look at the reality of what you may be able
- 28:03Speaker 1: to get.
- 28:05Speaker 2: And we are.
- 28:06Speaker 1: Teetering right now on the edge. And I'm warning you
- 28:08Speaker 1: of losing the majority in the House. Now, if we
- 28:10Speaker 1: lose the majority of the House, do you know what's
- 28:11Speaker 1: gonna happen. You have any idea what's gonna happen. If
- 28:15Speaker 1: we lose the majority in the House. Democrats will be
- 28:18Speaker 1: able to run through trillions more in spending. They'll be
- 28:21Speaker 1: able to do whatever they want to do with Ukraine funding.
- 28:23Speaker 1: They'll be able to do whatever they want to do
- 28:26Speaker 1: on issues like green, the Green New Deal and green
- 28:29Speaker 1: alternative energy.
- 28:30Speaker 2: They'll be able to spend us into oblivion.
- 28:33Speaker 1: That's what will happen, all because we refuse to compromise
- 28:38Speaker 1: and understand that, hey, there's things we want, but in
- 28:40Speaker 1: a democracy, you may not always.
- 28:42Speaker 2: Be able to get it.
- 28:45Speaker 1: And if we want to get those things, and I
- 28:47Speaker 1: want to get them, and I think most of you
- 28:49Speaker 1: want to get them, right, I believe that both of
- 28:51Speaker 1: us will. I think everybody in this conversation wants to
- 28:53Speaker 1: get those things.
- 28:54Speaker 2: We want to secure border.
- 28:55Speaker 1: Then we have to actually support and win and beat
- 28:58Speaker 1: the Democrats and have a majority of the House of
- 29:00Speaker 1: the Senate with real conservatives. Part of our problem is
- 29:04Speaker 1: we've elected a bunch of middle of the road people.
- 29:07Speaker 1: We've elected a bunch of average people that we didn't
- 29:10Speaker 1: vet who said, oh, I'm a tea party conservative. They
- 29:12Speaker 1: got to Washington they actually were it. That's on us, like,
- 29:15Speaker 1: we screwed that up. But we can't govern the same
- 29:19Speaker 1: way that John Mellencamp does with his audience. When someone
- 29:22Speaker 1: disagrees I'm out of here, I'm taking my toys and
- 29:24Speaker 1: going home. That's something we cannot do. Please share this
