- 0:00Speaker 1: The MBI director Cash Pttel is now really explaining how
- 0:04Speaker 1: corrupt the Southern Poverty Law Center actually is. We also
- 0:09Speaker 1: know now that the Southern Property Law Center had a
- 0:11Speaker 1: hit list of conservatives and gave locations of where the
- 0:15Speaker 1: top conservatives they hated lived. The FBI director going on
- 0:20Speaker 1: Sean Hannity's show saying this about who they really are
- 0:24Speaker 1: and following the money.
- 0:26Speaker 2: Money doesn't lie. The charity that supposedly fought the clan
- 0:30Speaker 2: funded the clan. The charity that supposedly fought Nazis funded
- 0:35Speaker 2: Neo Nazis. The Southern Poverty Law Center ran a methodical,
- 0:39Speaker 2: calculated scheme to defraud their donor base of three million
- 0:43Speaker 2: dollars and lied to them and used an illicit banking
- 0:47Speaker 2: structure system to create shell companies to hide their money
- 0:51Speaker 2: and who it was being sent to, specifically for the
- 0:54Speaker 2: reason to sow discord and hate into our society. This
- 0:58Speaker 2: is the ultimate definition of hypocrisy, and if you look
- 1:01Speaker 2: at the indictment produced by the Department of Justice and
- 1:04Speaker 2: the FBI, you will see that these banking institutions tied
- 1:07Speaker 2: directly the funding mechanisms in which the Southern Poverty Law
- 1:10Speaker 2: Center used to fund at least eight hate groups they
- 1:14Speaker 2: supposedly wanted to take out, but they were paying the
- 1:17Speaker 2: very villains of our society they supposedly wanted to protect
- 1:20Speaker 2: us from. That's the ultimate hypocrisy.
- 1:24Speaker 1: You'll listen to Cashpittel, and he's absolutely right these people.
- 1:27Speaker 1: This charity that was supposedly supposed to be fighting Neo
- 1:30Speaker 1: Nazis was funding the Neo Nazis. The charity that was
- 1:35Speaker 1: supposed to fight the Klulux Klan was actually funding the
- 1:38Speaker 1: klu Klux Klan. That obviously is a massive problem, and
- 1:44Speaker 1: that is exactly why the indictments have come down. Breitbart
- 1:47Speaker 1: is also reporting this that the left is Southern Poverty
- 1:51Speaker 1: Law Center's former head, Margaret Haig, weaponized the group against conservatives. Yeah,
- 1:59Speaker 1: that's now coming as well from the New York Posts. Now,
- 2:03Speaker 1: this report comes after the DOJ on Tuesday charged the
- 2:07Speaker 1: organization with not only fraud but also money laundering and
- 2:10Speaker 1: it linked them to violent extremist groups. Now, the Southern
- 2:14Speaker 1: Property Lawsonner's former boss took over in twenty twenty, after
- 2:19Speaker 1: which the organization took on a more partisan tone. Is
- 2:23Speaker 1: how the Posts described it, saying this and a piece
- 2:26Speaker 1: published last year, hun claimed that hard right extremist groups
- 2:31Speaker 1: have steadily penetrated American life, politics, and government since President
- 2:36Speaker 1: Trump's twenty sixteen election, arguing his second White House run
- 2:41Speaker 1: gave them an ally in the highest office in the nation.
- 2:44Speaker 1: What was once considered a fringe agenda in the modern
- 2:48Speaker 1: air is the blueprint from which the country's president and
- 2:51Speaker 1: the MAGA movement is operating. She blasted an article for
- 2:55Speaker 1: The Daily Costs warning that the hard right that would
- 2:59Speaker 1: be is muscling its way into schools and libraries that,
- 3:04Speaker 1: of course, the left have already taken over. The Southern
- 3:07Speaker 1: Poverty Law Center targeted conservative groups known as Turning Point USA,
- 3:11Speaker 1: Charlie Kirk's group that he founded in twenty twenty five,
- 3:15Speaker 1: we now have learned by putting it on a hate
- 3:17Speaker 1: map with KKK chapters. Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk,
- 3:22Speaker 1: who was brutally assassinated at that Utah speaking engagement in
- 3:26Speaker 1: September of twenty twenty five, reacted to the move in
- 3:30Speaker 1: a social media post, calling it a cheap smear from
- 3:33Speaker 1: a washed up organization that's been fleecing scared grandmas for
- 3:38Speaker 1: decades now. The indictment against Southern Poverty Law Center also
- 3:42Speaker 1: comes after Kirk for many years set its hate group
- 3:46Speaker 1: designation targeted Conservatives as well as Christians, pernal rights activists,
- 3:52Speaker 1: and his organization. Now we know from all of the
- 3:55Speaker 1: indictment that that is exactly true. During December twenty twenty
- 4:00Speaker 1: five testimony before the House Judiciary Committee, Turning Point executive
- 4:06Speaker 1: vice president stay that Kirk had worn three months before
- 4:09Speaker 1: his assassination that the Southern Poverty Law Centers designation of
- 4:13Speaker 1: Turning Point USA on its hate map would place the
- 4:18Speaker 1: organization in the crosshairs.
- 4:21Speaker 3: They also told lawmakers.
- 4:22Speaker 1: That the warning proved prophetic after Kirk was assassinated at
- 4:27Speaker 1: Utah Valley University in September of the same year. In
- 4:32Speaker 1: announcing this indictment on Tuesday, the FBI director said the
- 4:36Speaker 1: charges against the organization included major crimes, wire fraud, false
- 4:42Speaker 1: statements to federally insured bank, and conspiracy to commit concealment
- 4:47Speaker 1: of money laundering. The Southern Property Law Center allegedly engaged
- 4:51Speaker 1: at a massive fraud operation to deceive their donors. They
- 4:56Speaker 1: also enriched themselves and hit their deceptive operation from the public.
- 5:01Speaker 3: They also lied to.
- 5:02Speaker 1: Their donors, vowing to dismantle violent extremist groups, when in
- 5:06Speaker 1: actually what they were doing was turning around to pay
- 5:09Speaker 1: the leaders of those very extremist groups, even utilizing the
- 5:13Speaker 1: funds to have these groups facilitate the commission of state
- 5:17Speaker 1: and federal crimes. That is illegal, and this is an
- 5:21Speaker 1: ongoing investigation against all individuals, is.
- 5:24Speaker 3: What the FBI said.
- 5:26Speaker 1: What's also interesting is how much money these leaders were making.
- 5:30Speaker 1: The Post of the Time noted that the woman in
- 5:33Speaker 1: charge was compensated more than a half a million dollars
- 5:37Speaker 1: in twenty twenty three alone, adding she was removed in
- 5:40Speaker 1: July after huge layoffs and is now a senior advisor
- 5:44Speaker 1: at the Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights. Still
- 5:49Speaker 1: in the game, still slandering conservatives and putting them on
- 5:52Speaker 1: hit lists now. It's also been exposed as well that
- 5:57Speaker 1: this organization, the Southern Poverty Law Center, paid an informant
- 6:02Speaker 1: at the Unite the Right rally in Charlottesville and didn't
- 6:05Speaker 1: just tip the Southern Propaty Law Center off. The Southern
- 6:09Speaker 1: Popty Law Center supervised his racist postings and helped coordinate
- 6:15Speaker 1: transportation boosting the white nationalists side. The Southern Privaty Law
- 6:20Speaker 1: Center paid him two hundred and seventy thousand dollars between
- 6:24Speaker 1: twenty fifteen and twenty twenty three, showing that this was
- 6:28Speaker 1: a long term business plan. The F thirty seven was
- 6:32Speaker 1: a member of the online leadership chat group that planned
- 6:35Speaker 1: the twenty seventeen Unite the Right event in Charlottesville, Virginia,
- 6:39Speaker 1: and attend the event at the direction of the Southern
- 6:41Speaker 1: Poverty Law Center. Not to be clear, this is an
- 6:44Speaker 1: individual that the Southern Poverty Law Center says they're fighting against,
- 6:48Speaker 1: and they were actually organizing his travel. The F thirty
- 6:52Speaker 1: seven and the indictment made racist postings under the supervision
- 6:57Speaker 1: of the Southern Poverty Law Center and helped coordinate transportation
- 7:00Speaker 1: of the event for several attendees, as well, paying him
- 7:04Speaker 1: more than two hundred and seventy thousand dollars. Tyler O'Neal
- 7:09Speaker 1: tweeted this, The Southern Papaty Lawsoner paid a neo Nazi
- 7:12Speaker 1: leader more than one million dollars between twenty fourteen and
- 7:16Speaker 1: twenty twenty three. This story is familiar to me because
- 7:20Speaker 1: it involves the case of Glenn Keith Allen. Because the
- 7:23Speaker 1: Southern papy Lawsoner used the stolen documents to.
- 7:26Speaker 3: Literally destroy his reputation.
- 7:29Speaker 1: Tyler O'Neil went on to say, not only did they
- 7:32Speaker 1: pay the Imperial Wizard of the United Clans of America
- 7:36Speaker 1: a rebirth of a group the Southern Propaty Lawsner sued
- 7:40Speaker 1: into bankruptcy in the Michael Donald case, but they actually
- 7:45Speaker 1: just said no, no, no, we'll rebirth it and make
- 7:47Speaker 1: them have even more money. Yes, an American Nazi received
- 7:52Speaker 1: three hundred thousand dollars from the Southern Poverty Law Group
- 7:56Speaker 1: from twenty fourteen to twenty twenty seven. This is all
- 8:02Speaker 1: what happens when you follow the money, and what we're
- 8:05Speaker 1: witnessing right now is one of the Democrats' most important
- 8:09Speaker 1: organizations that they use in this country to divide the nation. Well,
- 8:13Speaker 1: in fact, what they were really doing is they were
- 8:16Speaker 1: going after conservatives and paying the extremists they claimed they
- 8:21Speaker 1: were actually trying to get rid of. I want you
- 8:25Speaker 1: to pause what you're doing for just one minute, and
- 8:27Speaker 1: I want you to hear about Alejandra. She lives in
- 8:31Speaker 1: a remote community with very few resources and little to
- 8:34Speaker 1: no healthcare. So when Alexandra gets sick, her parents have
- 8:39Speaker 1: no real options, no doctors in their community, and no
- 8:43Speaker 1: money for real medical care. By the third day, her
- 8:47Speaker 1: body was shutting down. She woke up and just long
- 8:50Speaker 1: enough to tell her mom, I can't take the pain anymore.
- 8:54Speaker 1: I can't keep going. Her parents drove hours to find
- 8:58Speaker 1: a doctor who tried everything, but she needed a private
- 9:02Speaker 1: hospital and that was impossible for her family to afford.
- 9:06Speaker 1: And that is when Compassion International stepped in. Now through Compassion,
- 9:12Speaker 1: Alejandra was treated and against all odds, she survived. She
- 9:17Speaker 1: lived because someone just like you took action right now. Unfortunately,
- 9:22Speaker 1: there are children just like Alejandra who won't survive unless
- 9:26Speaker 1: someone like you steps in. Compassion International partners with local churches,
- 9:32Speaker 1: providing children with the support that they need, critical medical care,
- 9:37Speaker 1: plus food, education, and the hope of the gospel, all
- 9:42Speaker 1: in Jesus's name. So help a child just like Alexandra
- 9:46Speaker 1: Today you can visit Compassion dot com. That's Compassion dot com.
- 9:52Speaker 1: The Department of Justice has now announced that the far
- 9:56Speaker 1: left Southern Poverty Law Center was charged with fraud and
- 10:01Speaker 1: money laundering involving violent extremists groups quote unquote. In a
- 10:08Speaker 1: press release from the Office of Public Affairs for the DOJ,
- 10:12Speaker 1: it was revealed that the Southern Poverty Law Center was
- 10:16Speaker 1: charged by an Alabama grand jury with eleven counts of
- 10:20Speaker 1: wire fraud, false statements to a federally insured bank, and
- 10:25Speaker 1: conspiracy to commit concealment money laundering. According to the press release,
- 10:30Speaker 1: an indictment says that starting in the nineteen eighties, the
- 10:35Speaker 1: Southern Poverty Law Center began operating a covert network of
- 10:39Speaker 1: individuals who were either associated with violent and extremist groups
- 10:46Speaker 1: such as the klu Klux Klan. To be clear, the
- 10:51Speaker 1: indictment is saying that the Southern Poverty Law Center was
- 10:56Speaker 1: associated with violent and extremist groups, including the klu Klux Klan.
- 11:01Speaker 1: This is incredible now, According to the indictment, starting in
- 11:06Speaker 1: the nineteen eighties, the Southern Property Law Center began operating
- 11:11Speaker 1: a covert network of individuals who were either associated with
- 11:15Speaker 1: violent and extremist groups such as the Kluklux Klan, or
- 11:19Speaker 1: who had infiltrated violent extremist groups at the Southern Poverty
- 11:24Speaker 1: Law Center's direction. Now, unbeknownst to the donors, some of
- 11:30Speaker 1: their donated money was being used to fund the leaders
- 11:34Speaker 1: and organizers of racist groups. At the same time that
- 11:39Speaker 1: the Southern Poverty Law Center was denouncing the same groups
- 11:43Speaker 1: on its own website.
- 11:45Speaker 3: That's just stealing money. Folks.
- 11:48Speaker 1: If you're giving money the Kluklux Klan while claiming you're
- 11:51Speaker 1: fighting the klu Klux.
- 11:52Speaker 3: Klan, that's a massive fraud. Now.
- 11:55Speaker 1: The Southern Poverty Law Center also allegedly funneled more than
- 11:59Speaker 1: three million donated funds to individuals who were associated with
- 12:05Speaker 1: groups such as the National Socialist Movement, the United Clans
- 12:10Speaker 1: of America, and the Aryan Nations affiliated Sadistic Soul's Motorcycle Club,
- 12:19Speaker 1: all of this between twenty fourteen and twenty twenty three,
- 12:23Speaker 1: according to the press release. Now, the Acting Attorney General
- 12:28Speaker 1: Todd Blanche said in a statement that the Southern Poverty
- 12:31Speaker 1: Law Center is manufacturing racism to justify its existence as
- 12:38Speaker 1: an organization, then saying this quote, using donor money to
- 12:43Speaker 1: allegedly profit off clansmen cannot go unchecked. In a post
- 12:49Speaker 1: on Acts, the Federal Bureau of Investigations Director Caspittel shared
- 12:54Speaker 1: that he and Blanche were announcing an eleven count indictment
- 12:58Speaker 1: against the Southern Poverty Law Center this evening. Blanche and
- 13:02Speaker 1: I are announcing it against the Southern Poverty Law Center.
- 13:06Speaker 3: Charges include wire fraud.
- 13:09Speaker 1: False statements to a federally insured bank, and conspiracy to
- 13:13Speaker 1: commit concealment money laundering. The FBI director continued in a
- 13:18Speaker 1: statement on x saying the Southern Poverty Law Center allegedly
- 13:21Speaker 1: engaged in a massive fraud operation to deceive their donors,
- 13:27Speaker 1: enrich themselves, and hide their deceptive operations from the public.
- 13:32Speaker 1: They lied to their donors vowing to dismantle violent extremist
- 13:36Speaker 1: groups and actually turned around and paid the leaders of
- 13:40Speaker 1: these very extremist groups, even utilizing the funds to have
- 13:45Speaker 1: these groups facilitate the commission of state and federal crimes.
- 13:50Speaker 1: That is illegal, and this is an ongoing investigation against
- 13:54Speaker 1: all individuals involved. Now, Casperttel, after putting that out, also
- 14:00Speaker 1: how to press conference in the Department of Justice.
- 14:03Speaker 3: And here is what he had to say, or.
- 14:05Speaker 2: Here today is to announce what the General just told you.
- 14:09Speaker 2: The Southern Property Law Center, in a massive sweeping indictment,
- 14:14Speaker 2: has been charged with allegations of fraud and using the
- 14:17Speaker 2: banking system to perpetrate that fraud. I just want to
- 14:20Speaker 2: talk about a couple of brief things here. The Southern
- 14:23Speaker 2: Property Law Center themselves advertise to raise money to dismantle
- 14:29Speaker 2: violent extremist groups for a period of at least a decade.
- 14:33Speaker 4: They use their.
- 14:33Speaker 2: Donor network to raise money to purportedly dismantle violent extremist groups. However,
- 14:40Speaker 2: the SPLC the Southern Property Law Center used the money
- 14:43Speaker 2: they raise raised from their donor network to actually pay
- 14:47Speaker 2: the leadership of these very groups. I just want to
- 14:50Speaker 2: say that again, they use the fraudulently raised money by
- 14:54Speaker 2: lying to their donor network thousands of Americans to go
- 14:57Speaker 2: ahead and actually pay the leadership of these supposed violent
- 15:02Speaker 2: extremist groups. The groups, as the General laid out, include
- 15:06Speaker 2: the Ku Klux Klan, the United Clans of America, Unite
- 15:10Speaker 2: to Right, National Alliance, the National Socialist Movement, the Arian
- 15:16Speaker 2: Nation Motorcycle Club, and the National Socialist Party of America,
- 15:20Speaker 2: and also the American Front. In at least one of
- 15:24Speaker 2: these matters, our investigation revealed that funds were used to
- 15:27Speaker 2: facilitate the commission of further state and federal offenses, totaling
- 15:33Speaker 2: over three million dollars. Furthermore, our investigation revealed that the
- 15:38Speaker 2: Southern Poverty Law Center, on top of perpetuating this widespread,
- 15:42Speaker 2: decade long, multi million dollar fraud, conducted more criminal activity.
- 15:49Speaker 2: They attempted to hide their criminal activity from our financial
- 15:54Speaker 2: banking network. They set up shell companies and entities around
- 15:58Speaker 2: America so that the financial institutions that we rely on
- 16:01Speaker 2: as everyday Americans were deceived in believing that money was
- 16:04Speaker 2: not coming from the Southern Poverty Law Center in the
- 16:07Speaker 2: perpetration of this scheme and fraud, but rather fictitious entities
- 16:11Speaker 2: they stood up to perpetuate this ongoing fraud. This is
- 16:15Speaker 2: a serious and egregious violation of a group that purported
- 16:19Speaker 2: to dismantle violent extremists groups, but in turn actually only
- 16:23Speaker 2: fueled the hatred. This is an important case brought by
- 16:26Speaker 2: the President. By President Trump's administration, We're thankful for the
- 16:29Speaker 2: present for his leadership and funding of not just the
- 16:32Speaker 2: FBI and DOJ, but his commitment to go out there
- 16:35Speaker 2: and wipe out fraud and conspiracy and waste and abuse
- 16:38Speaker 2: wherever it occurs, including the Southern Poverty Law Center. Even
- 16:42Speaker 2: though this money was made to appear to be coming
- 16:45Speaker 2: from legitimate people and legitimate entities, we at the FBI,
- 16:50Speaker 2: with our great partners at the Department of Justice and
- 16:52Speaker 2: in the State of Alabama, were able to comb through
- 16:55Speaker 2: a decade worth of material, a scheme that took a
- 16:57Speaker 2: decade to build so that we were able to follow
- 17:00Speaker 2: the money because money never lies, and they got caught.
- 17:04Speaker 2: As the Attorney General said, these charges are varying, they
- 17:09Speaker 2: are widespread and wide ranging, and this investigation is very
- 17:12Speaker 2: much ongoing. Today we're here to announce the charges of
- 17:15Speaker 2: the Southern Poverty Law Center and this investigation and the
- 17:18Speaker 2: individuals were responsible will be brought to justice.
- 17:21Speaker 1: The most shocking thing about what Caspittel said there is
- 17:25Speaker 1: not only did they secretly funnel three million in donor
- 17:28Speaker 1: funds to violent racist extremist groups including literally the klu
- 17:31Speaker 1: Klux Klan, the American Nazi Party, the Area Nation, the
- 17:37Speaker 1: United Clans of America, Unite, the Right, National Alliance, National
- 17:42Speaker 1: Socialist Movement, Sadistic Souls, Motorcycle Club, and America Front, just
- 17:47Speaker 1: to name a few. But they knew what they were doing.
- 17:51Speaker 1: And how do you know that? Because to hide the payments,
- 17:55Speaker 1: the Southern Poverty Law Center allegedly open bank accounts under
- 18:00Speaker 1: fictitious entities, as it was described there in the press conference.
- 18:05Speaker 1: Why would you do that? One reason? You want to
- 18:08Speaker 1: conceal the source and control of the donor funds and
- 18:13Speaker 1: that's what they did, and per the indictment, the Southern
- 18:16Speaker 1: Poverty Law Center Field source was a member of the
- 18:20Speaker 1: online leadership chat group that planned the twenty seventeen Unite
- 18:26Speaker 1: the Right rally in Charlottesville. They made racist postings under
- 18:31Speaker 1: Southern Poverty Law Center supervision and helped coordinate transportation to
- 18:36Speaker 1: that event. The FBI director saying, not only do they
- 18:40Speaker 1: lie their donors vowing to dismantle violent extremist groups, and
- 18:44Speaker 1: actually turned around and paid the leaders of these very
- 18:47Speaker 1: extremist groups, even utilizing the funds to have these groups
- 18:52Speaker 1: facilitate the Commission of State and Federal Crimes Todd Blanche
- 18:58Speaker 1: in the indictment, he had this to say at the
- 19:01Speaker 1: Department of Justice.
- 19:04Speaker 5: Now, as the indictment lays out, after SBLC paid members
- 19:08Speaker 5: of these extremist groups, it created work product that reported
- 19:12Speaker 5: on these activities that the members participated in or contributed to.
- 19:17Speaker 5: And to that end, it was doing the exact opposite
- 19:20Speaker 5: of what it's told its donors. It was doing not
- 19:24Speaker 5: dismantling extremism, but funding it. To carry out this scheme,
- 19:29Speaker 5: SPLC created bank accounts in the name of at least
- 19:32Speaker 5: five completely fictitious organizations that had no bona fide employees
- 19:38Speaker 5: or legitimate business purpose. The money was passed from SPLC
- 19:43Speaker 5: to one sham account, to a second sham account, and
- 19:45Speaker 5: then loaded onto prepaid cards to give to the members
- 19:49Speaker 5: of the extremist groups. This was designed to shield the
- 19:52Speaker 5: source of those funds and because of this, SPLC is
- 19:56Speaker 5: also charged with one count as I said earlier, of
- 20:00Speaker 5: RC to commit money laundering. In conclusion, I want to
- 20:04Speaker 5: thank the Acting US Attorney in the Middle disc of Alabama,
- 20:07Speaker 5: Kevin Davidson, who's in his district right now and not
- 20:10Speaker 5: able to be with us, for bringing this important case,
- 20:14Speaker 5: along with the FBI team in Alabama, for their hard
- 20:17Speaker 5: work during this investigation. This investigation is ongoing.
- 20:24Speaker 1: This is truly a bombshell. It'll be very interesting to
- 20:28Speaker 1: see what else comes out in this ongoing investigation. But
- 20:33Speaker 1: one thing that is for sure, the people that are
- 20:36Speaker 1: doing things like this, you're on notice because the Trump
- 20:40Speaker 1: administration and the men and women in charge of the
- 20:42Speaker 1: DOJ and the FBI, they're doing their job rooting out
- 20:46Speaker 1: this type of corruption. All right, senat So let's get
- 20:51Speaker 1: into the Southern Poverty Laws Center.
- 20:53Speaker 3: It was let's just be clear.
- 20:56Speaker 1: A group that was supposed to stop the klu Klux Klan,
- 20:59Speaker 1: but instead we decided to fund the klu Klux Klan.
- 21:02Speaker 1: That was just one of the many like bigoted racist
- 21:05Speaker 1: groups that they decided to actually raise money from people
- 21:08Speaker 1: claiming we're trying to stop hate while actually funding the hate,
- 21:12Speaker 1: so they can then raise money off of the funding
- 21:15Speaker 1: of the hate and get a return on their investment.
- 21:17Speaker 3: It's like a Ponzi scheme. You can't make it up.
- 21:21Speaker 4: This story is one of the most astonishing stories. So
- 21:24Speaker 4: the Southern Poverty Law Center has made a business for decades,
- 21:28Speaker 4: a business convincing people, convincing liberals, convincing American corporations, convincing
- 21:35Speaker 4: just ordinary Americans that they're these vicious racist America that
- 21:40Speaker 4: need to be fought and their business and understand, the
- 21:43Speaker 4: Southern Poverty Law Center raised hundreds of millions of dollars
- 21:47Speaker 4: to fight these racists. What happened this week The Department
- 21:51Speaker 4: of Justice indicted them, indicted them for money laundry and
- 21:57Speaker 4: the evidence. I could not made this up. The Southern
- 22:01Speaker 4: Poverty Law Center was funding the very bigots and racists
- 22:06Speaker 4: that they claimed to be fighting. So, for example, here's
- 22:10Speaker 4: the story in the Daily Signal, the SPLC was paying
- 22:13Speaker 4: the Ku Klux Klan. Doj indictment claims the Southern Poverty
- 22:18Speaker 4: Law Center has raised money for decades claiming to dismantle
- 22:21Speaker 4: white supremacy, but it funneled millions of dollars. Let me
- 22:26Speaker 4: repeat that, millions of dollars to white nationalist groups, including
- 22:32Speaker 4: the Ku Klux Klan. According to the federal indictment handed
- 22:35Speaker 4: down Tuesday, the SPLC claims it was funding informants inside
- 22:40Speaker 4: the extremist groups. While the SPLC quote purports to fight
- 22:44Speaker 4: white supremacy and racial hatred, Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche
- 22:48Speaker 4: said in press conference quote the SPLC was not dismantling
- 22:52Speaker 4: those groups, it was instead manufacturing the extremism it purports
- 22:58Speaker 4: to oppose. Lanch highlighted one example from the indictment where
- 23:02Speaker 4: the SPLC paid a member of the leadership group that
- 23:06Speaker 4: planned the Unite the Right rally in Charlottesville, Virginia in
- 23:11Speaker 4: twenty seventeen. It is stunning liberals funding bigots in order
- 23:17Speaker 4: to raise money to fight the bigotry they're funding.
- 23:20Speaker 1: There was a lot in the indictment that came out,
- 23:23Speaker 1: but there's one theme that Cash Rettel made very clear
- 23:26Speaker 1: as he was on John Handy's show. He made it
- 23:29Speaker 1: real simple what this is about and why they were indicted.
- 23:33Speaker 3: Here is Cash Hotel in his own words, funny doesn't lie.
- 23:37Speaker 2: The charity that supposedly fought the clan funded the clan.
- 23:41Speaker 2: The charity that supposedly fought ne Nazis funded Neo Nazis.
- 23:46Speaker 2: The Southern Poverty Law Center ran a methodical, calculated scheme
- 23:50Speaker 2: to defraud their donor base of three million dollars and
- 23:54Speaker 2: lied to them and used an illicit banking structure system
- 23:57Speaker 2: to create shell companies to their money and who it
- 24:01Speaker 2: was being sent to, specifically for the reason to sow
- 24:05Speaker 2: discord and hate into our society. This is the ultimate
- 24:09Speaker 2: definition of hypocrisy. And if you look at the indictment
- 24:12Speaker 2: produced by the Department of Justice and the FBI, you
- 24:14Speaker 2: will see that these banking institutions tied directly the funding
- 24:18Speaker 2: mechanisms in which the Southern Poverty Law Center used to
- 24:21Speaker 2: fund at least eight hate groups. They supposedly wanted to
- 24:24Speaker 2: take out, but they were paying the very villains of
- 24:27Speaker 2: our society they supposedly wanted to protect us from.
- 24:31Speaker 5: That's the ultimate hypocrisy.
- 24:32Speaker 1: By the way, one of the things that I think
- 24:34Speaker 1: is really interesting about this is there were warning signs
- 24:38Speaker 1: for like quite some time. John Stossel back in January
- 24:44Speaker 1: sixteenth to twenty eighteen, he did an expose on warning
- 24:49Speaker 1: Americans about the Southern Propaty Law Center and how it
- 24:53Speaker 1: used to have like an in theory, like a good theme.
- 24:55Speaker 1: It used to be about, hey, we find hate groups
- 24:58Speaker 1: and we name them, and we expose and we out them.
- 25:01Speaker 1: And then it just turned into a radical left organization
- 25:05Speaker 1: where Democrats could throw their money and when they threw
- 25:08Speaker 1: their money in there, it would just basically attack conservatives
- 25:13Speaker 1: and anybody on the hit list, which turned into it,
- 25:15Speaker 1: by the way, turning point USA, it turned into Christian
- 25:19Speaker 1: groups as well, groups that they named individuals like Laura
- 25:22Speaker 1: Ingram for example, as one of those threats to America
- 25:25Speaker 1: through the Southern Public Loss Army. That's they were doing
- 25:28Speaker 1: that back in twenty sixteen.
- 25:30Speaker 4: Well, and look, it was not just liberals that were
- 25:33Speaker 4: funding them. It was corporate America. That they did an
- 25:36Speaker 4: amazing job of extracting millions of dollars from giant corporations,
- 25:40Speaker 4: and they'd say, look, we're going to fight hate and
- 25:42Speaker 4: we're going to fight extremism. And they were rapidly partisan.
- 25:46Speaker 4: They attacked conservatives. We knew that, but the latest piece
- 25:50Speaker 4: of this indictment, I got to say a week ago, Ben,
- 25:52Speaker 4: I don't know about you. Did you have on your
- 25:54Speaker 4: Bengo card the Southern Publicly Law Center funding, the KKK
- 25:59Speaker 4: funding the knoz no Like there's a level of cynicism.
- 26:04Speaker 1: Yeah, And donations or corporate donations like Apple, Tim Cook
- 26:09Speaker 1: a million bucks, JP Morgan a million bucks, JP Morgan
- 26:13Speaker 1: half a million, MGM Resorts a million, like they were
- 26:17Speaker 1: corporate America was giving money to them the same way
- 26:21Speaker 1: they did to Black Lives Matter for example. It was like, oh,
- 26:23Speaker 1: this is just something we got to check a box. Yeah,
- 26:25Speaker 1: what do you need? Will write you the check. And
- 26:27Speaker 1: they had unlimited funds coming in and then they used
- 26:30Speaker 1: it to again come after conservative and Christian organizations.
- 26:34Speaker 4: And understand the charges here. The indictment charges of the
- 26:37Speaker 4: SPLC with six counts of wire fraud aiming to obtained
- 26:41Speaker 4: money via donations through materially false false representation and omissions
- 26:47Speaker 4: about what the donated funds would be used for. It
- 26:51Speaker 4: charges the SPLC with four counts of false statements to
- 26:54Speaker 4: a federally insured bank by creating accounts for fictitious entities
- 26:59Speaker 4: to funnel the money. Finally, it charges the SPLC with
- 27:03Speaker 4: one count of conspiracy to commit concealment of money laundry.
- 27:08Speaker 4: The Justice Department indictment claims the SPLC directed more than
- 27:12Speaker 4: one million dollars to an affiliate of the National Alliance,
- 27:17Speaker 4: more than three hundred thousand dollars to an affiliate of
- 27:21Speaker 4: the Area Nations, more than two hundred and seventy thousand
- 27:24Speaker 4: dollars to a member of the Unite the Right rally
- 27:27Speaker 4: in Charlottesville, Virginia in twenty seventeen, more than one hundred
- 27:30Speaker 4: and forty thousand dollars to a former chairman of the
- 27:33Speaker 4: National Alliance, more than seventy three thousand dollars to a
- 27:38Speaker 4: former Ku Klux Klan members, and more than nineteen thousand
- 27:43Speaker 4: dollars to the president of the American Front. This was
- 27:47Speaker 4: shameless and it was massive cash, Pettel said. The FBI's
- 27:52Speaker 4: investigation revealed that the funds were used to facilitate the
- 27:56Speaker 4: commission of further state and federal offenses totally, more than
- 28:00Speaker 4: three million dollars. The magnitude of this. The depravity of this,
- 28:07Speaker 4: it's staggering.
- 28:09Speaker 1: I want to play stolesl. He did this again January sixteen,
- 28:12Speaker 1: twenty eighteen. He was warning the country about the Southern
- 28:17Speaker 1: Property Law Center years ago, saying they have lost their way.
- 28:21Speaker 1: They are not what they say they are. Take a
- 28:23Speaker 1: listen to him exposing them back in the day.
- 28:28Speaker 6: There are dangerous hate groups in America?
- 28:31Speaker 3: Who will warn us about them? The media have an
- 28:35Speaker 3: answer The Southern Poverty Law Center, The Southern Poverty Law Center.
- 28:38Speaker 6: The Southern Poverty Law Center, based in that building in Alabama,
- 28:42Speaker 6: calls itself the premier group monitoring hate groups. Looking at
- 28:48Speaker 6: their map of such groups, he'd think America was consumed
- 28:52Speaker 6: by hate. I once believed in the center's mission. Well
- 28:55Speaker 6: meaning people still do. Apple just gave them a million dollars.
- 29:00Speaker 6: What dotors don't know is that today the center smears
- 29:03Speaker 6: people who don't deserve to be smeared.
- 29:06Speaker 2: The presence of radical Islam.
- 29:08Speaker 6: This woman grew up in Somalia, suffered female genital mutilation,
- 29:12Speaker 6: so now she speaks out against radical Islam. For that,
- 29:16Speaker 6: the Center put her on its list.
- 29:19Speaker 3: Multiculturalism failed these communities.
- 29:21Speaker 6: This man was once an Islamic extremist, but then he
- 29:25Speaker 6: decided radical Islam was wrong, and now he criticizes the
- 29:29Speaker 6: radicals the Center labels him and anti Muslim extremists too.
- 29:35Speaker 3: Join the fight against hate and bigotry. Visit Sblcenter dot org.
- 29:39Speaker 5: I do think that we have a problem with hate
- 29:41Speaker 5: in this country.
- 29:42Speaker 4: We put about ten of these major hay groups out
- 29:45Speaker 4: of business.
- 29:45Speaker 6: The Center's leaders, Richard Cohen and Morris D's would not
- 29:48Speaker 6: talk to me, so commentator Nomiki Kant stepped up to
- 29:52Speaker 6: defend them.
- 29:53Speaker 2: They have a history, a long history of fighting against
- 29:56Speaker 2: extremists like the KKK.
- 29:57Speaker 6: Years ago, Harper's magazine reported that the Center is the
- 30:01Speaker 6: wealthiest civil rights group in America, one that spent most
- 30:04Speaker 6: of its time and money on a fundraising campaign. Now,
- 30:08Speaker 6: Morris D's did once promise to stop fundraising once his
- 30:12Speaker 6: endowment hit fifty five million dollars, but when he reached
- 30:16Speaker 6: fifty five million, he changed that to one hundred million,
- 30:20Speaker 6: saying that would allow them to cease costly fundraising. But
- 30:24Speaker 6: when they reached one hundred million, they didn't stop.
- 30:27Speaker 4: Today they have an endowment that now is over three
- 30:31Speaker 4: hundred and twenty million dollars, much of which is an
- 30:33Speaker 4: offshore counts Caymans and places.
- 30:36Speaker 3: Like that, and how do you know, oh that we
- 30:38Speaker 3: look at their nine nineties and it says Cayman Islands.
- 30:40Speaker 6: Yeah, they pay some of their people more than four
- 30:43Speaker 6: hundred thousand years.
- 30:44Speaker 4: Well it, you know, gets twenty seventeen.
- 30:48Speaker 3: It's twenty seventeen.
- 30:49Speaker 1: So we're just raising as much money from the left
- 30:53Speaker 1: in corporate America.
- 30:54Speaker 3: As we can.
