- 2:03Speaker 1: good morning everybody. You are listening to the voice, Come
- 2:07Speaker 1: on dig me now, one and only. Steve Harvey got
- 2:11Speaker 1: a radio show. Okay, I got something for you today.
- 2:17Speaker 1: This is something that I've really been focusing on for
- 2:20Speaker 1: the past couple of months, to be honest with you,
- 2:25Speaker 1: and I want to share it with you today because
- 2:27Speaker 1: I want to encourage you. Because there's something that's available
- 2:30Speaker 1: to you that I've rarely spoke on before, and it's
- 2:34Speaker 1: something that I've been really really discovering for the past
- 2:37Speaker 1: couple of months. And I can't even tell you the
- 2:39Speaker 1: difference is made in my life. I'm gonna have a
- 2:45Speaker 1: conversation this morning about my understanding of grace. You know,
- 2:51Speaker 1: when I was a little you see hear my mother
- 2:53Speaker 1: singer song all the time. All I need is a
- 2:57Speaker 1: little more grace, a little more grace. All I want
- 3:00Speaker 1: is a little more grace, a little more grace. And
- 3:04Speaker 1: I you know, I sang it with her, you know,
- 3:05Speaker 1: of course, you know, walking around the house and stuff,
- 3:07Speaker 1: and we had devotion service. I would sing it with
- 3:10Speaker 1: the church people. But I repay it no attention. I
- 3:13Speaker 1: really really didn't. Now that I've gotten older and I've
- 3:17Speaker 1: come in to a better understanding of a lot of
- 3:20Speaker 1: things I didn't know about when I was younger. This
- 3:23Speaker 1: is just my interpretation of grace. Now once again, y'all
- 3:29Speaker 1: listen to me. I ain't nobody's pastor, I ain't nobody's minister.
- 3:34Speaker 1: So you know, I'm pretty sure you can go to
- 3:36Speaker 1: church and get a far more extensive definition of one
- 3:39Speaker 1: I'm giving you. I'm just talking to people. You know.
- 3:43Speaker 1: Grace is this thing that that God provides for us,
- 3:49Speaker 1: and grace it's just things that you get that's really undeserving,
- 3:56Speaker 1: you know. I mean, I look at my life as
- 3:58Speaker 1: it is today. You know, I work hard, and I
- 4:01Speaker 1: have faith in God that I do so things are
- 4:05Speaker 1: going to happen in my life. But the way my
- 4:07Speaker 1: life is now. I don't. I don't. I don't deserve
- 4:11Speaker 1: all of this. I don't don't. I don't look at
- 4:13Speaker 1: it that way. I have been the beneficiary of God's grace.
- 4:18Speaker 1: I have aligned myself in a position to accept whatever
- 4:23Speaker 1: grace God has for me, and it will be far
- 4:27Speaker 1: abundant and exceedingly in anything you could think of. His
- 4:32Speaker 1: grace supersedes anything you could possibly imagine. You know, the
- 4:37Speaker 1: goals that I set, and the aspirations that I shoot for,
- 4:40Speaker 1: and the things that I have on my dream board.
- 4:43Speaker 1: I have the faith that God will give it to me.
- 4:44Speaker 1: But what He does with grace, he gives you far
- 4:48Speaker 1: more than that. He gives you what He has for you,
- 4:51Speaker 1: not what you can see. You can't see all He
- 4:54Speaker 1: has for you. It's impossible. Who are you? How can
- 4:57Speaker 1: you possibly imagine what he can imagine? How can you
- 5:00Speaker 1: possibly think how he can think? How how can you
- 5:03Speaker 1: possibly do what he can do? How can it be
- 5:06Speaker 1: that isn't a single mind living or a collection of
- 5:09Speaker 1: minds that could have thought of Earth? What in your
- 5:13Speaker 1: wildest imagination could have made you think of Earth? The stars,
- 5:18Speaker 1: the heavens, the oceans, the galaxy, the constellations, What in
- 5:24Speaker 1: your mind? What in any man's mind. We can point
- 5:28Speaker 1: at it and analyze it, but we show it couldn't
- 5:30Speaker 1: have thought of it. So come on now, I'm talking
- 5:34Speaker 1: about lining yourself up with God's grace, which he will
- 5:39Speaker 1: give to you if you if you want some of
- 5:41Speaker 1: it now. But now, his thing about grace, it can't
- 5:44Speaker 1: be bought. If it could, if it could be bought,
- 5:47Speaker 1: I'm telling you I would pour all the money I
- 5:51Speaker 1: have and dump it into grace, because after discovering what
- 5:56Speaker 1: it is, it's this goodness that God shines on you
- 6:01Speaker 1: simply as a reward of some type for His love
- 6:06Speaker 1: for you and for you attempting for you attempting to
- 6:11Speaker 1: do right, not because you get it right. Because if
- 6:13Speaker 1: He judged us purely on how we are the right
- 6:17Speaker 1: and wrong of it, we would all be doomed, all
- 6:20Speaker 1: of us, every last one of us, would be doomed,
- 6:25Speaker 1: because we all fall short, we all make mistakes, we
- 6:29Speaker 1: all sin, we all get it wrong from time to time.
- 6:33Speaker 1: Nobody's perfect. Man. Now I understand what my mother was
- 6:37Speaker 1: saying about cleaning the house. All I want is a
- 6:40Speaker 1: little more grace. All I need is a little more
- 6:43Speaker 1: grace when the last time you ask God for some grace. No,
- 6:47Speaker 1: I'm not talking to you like I know everything, because
- 6:49Speaker 1: I'm telling you I just got hip to this a
- 6:51Speaker 1: couple of months ago. I just really started focusing on
- 6:54Speaker 1: this a couple of months ago, and I'm bringing it
- 6:56Speaker 1: to you because I know to help you if you
- 7:00Speaker 1: just benefit from His grace, which you already have. But
- 7:03Speaker 1: if you're not aware of it, you don't know what's
- 7:06Speaker 1: going on. Become aware of grace, Get aware of the
- 7:09Speaker 1: fact that God does things for you simply because He
- 7:13Speaker 1: loves you. He does things for you that you don't
- 7:16Speaker 1: even deserve. Somehow, you just wonder how you just got
- 7:18Speaker 1: over when you didn't even do the things to get over.
- 7:24Speaker 1: Sometimes you don't even know how you got that job
- 7:26Speaker 1: you got when you ain't even really do the things
- 7:29Speaker 1: to get to job. How you end up where you are,
- 7:31Speaker 1: all the education you thought you went and got and had,
- 7:34Speaker 1: how you end up where you are today in a
- 7:36Speaker 1: much better position than your education could have ever gotten you.
- 7:40Speaker 1: That's grace. How I get every place I am today.
- 7:45Speaker 1: I didn't plan this, Man, If I could have planned
- 7:47Speaker 1: my life the way it is, don't you know how
- 7:49Speaker 1: to have done it when I was living in that car,
- 7:51Speaker 1: if I knew how to do it. No, I benefited
- 7:53Speaker 1: from his grace. I'm just a beneficiary of his grace,
- 8:00Speaker 1: of his goodness and his mercy. God's goodness is better
- 8:03Speaker 1: than your goodness. God's goodness is better than your mother's goodness.
- 8:08Speaker 1: It's better than your wife's or your husband or your
- 8:10Speaker 1: booz's goodness. God's goodness is different. His goodness man covers
- 8:16Speaker 1: some stuff you can't even imagine. So why are you
- 8:20Speaker 1: trying to put your life together when the last time
- 8:23Speaker 1: you asked him for just a little bit of grace?
- 8:27Speaker 1: When have you thought of your life in terms of
- 8:30Speaker 1: the grace that it has already benefited from? Have you
- 8:33Speaker 1: ever done that? Man? Just thought about you know? You
- 8:37Speaker 1: hear songs like my soul, looked back and wonder how
- 8:39Speaker 1: I got over. That's grace. That's all I can call it. Now.
- 8:43Speaker 1: Like I said, you can go to church or somewherever
- 8:45Speaker 1: you want to, and ministers that the wind at school
- 8:48Speaker 1: to teach this thing way better than me. I'm just
- 8:50Speaker 1: giving you from a layman standpoint. Man, have you thought
- 8:53Speaker 1: about his grace? Would you not bewailed to be a
- 8:56Speaker 1: beneficiary of his grace, would it not certain out? Check
- 9:00Speaker 1: this out. The better you try to do, the more
- 9:04Speaker 1: grace he'll give to you. And that grace can't be bought,
- 9:08Speaker 1: Like I said, it's free. You can't purchase grace. But
- 9:12Speaker 1: the better you try to become the more the more
- 9:14Speaker 1: grace he gets to put your way. So man, just try,
- 9:19Speaker 1: why don't you just try to do better? Look, man,
- 9:22Speaker 1: quick tip. Mind, I'm gonna start next week. I'm gonna
- 9:24Speaker 1: start at the new year. Now you now you do
- 9:27Speaker 1: that every year, you know, the embras at the new year.
- 9:29Speaker 1: I'm eat better at the new year. I'm gonna I'm
- 9:31Speaker 1: gonna gonna get in here in the new year. If
- 9:34Speaker 1: you're gonna do it, you're gonna do it now. Man,
- 9:36Speaker 1: you're gonna do not stop trying to do something, do it,
- 9:41Speaker 1: stop talking about it, do it now. The best way
- 9:44Speaker 1: to benefit from his grace is starting action now in
- 9:49Speaker 1: old w now right now today. What you're waiting on.
- 9:55Speaker 1: All you're doing is delaying his opportunity to bless you.
- 10:00Speaker 1: You know, man, you know, do you know how many
- 10:01Speaker 1: times we do that? We delay his opportunity to bless
- 10:05Speaker 1: us by not starting Now, if you're gonna get healthy,
- 10:08Speaker 1: why don't you start now? Now you're gonna trip a
- 10:10Speaker 1: little bit called the holidays coming. But you ain't got
- 10:13Speaker 1: to eat bad all the time. You could start eating
- 10:16Speaker 1: correct today you could. You could, and then guess what
- 10:20Speaker 1: that could be? Some grace on the end of that.
- 10:22Speaker 1: I'm just giving you a little cheap analogy. But do
- 10:25Speaker 1: you feel what I'm saying to you? Start thinking in
- 10:28Speaker 1: terms of grace? What He has done for you and
- 10:31Speaker 1: provided for you that you ain't even see coming. That
- 10:33Speaker 1: you know, you keep calling them blessings and I got
- 10:36Speaker 1: that a lot of it, and us all it is.
- 10:37Speaker 1: But man, have you thought about the stuff that didn't
- 10:39Speaker 1: happen to you? You can't account for I. For me,
- 10:44Speaker 1: that's been grace and I'm beneficiary of it. And that's
- 10:47Speaker 1: available to everybody that wants sull Next time you're talking
- 10:51Speaker 1: to him, just check in with grace. See what that is.
- 10:54Speaker 1: That's that's better than money. You're listening, ladies, gentlemen, boys
- 11:03Speaker 1: and girls are animals and all insects. This is about
- 11:09Speaker 1: to go down. If your aunt, I need your attension,
- 11:13Speaker 1: Foul needs your undivided attention. Zoo detainees needs your attention.
- 11:20Speaker 1: I ain't hear everybody that back in Hill need to
- 11:23Speaker 1: be listening to this Hill Morning show. Now information is popping.
- 11:32Speaker 1: Good morning, Shirley, Good morning Steve that I'll cover everybody
- 11:38Speaker 1: tied to some people time. I ain't hear your shoulders
- 11:40Speaker 1: morning when I asked everybody to listen, calling for real,
- 11:45Speaker 1: good morning, what's up? I ain't heard from Junior Morning up?
- 11:53Speaker 1: What up? Are Jays understanding of a name to call me? Yeah? Well,
- 11:58Speaker 1: but I gotten he was on the radio names yea.
- 12:06Speaker 1: Let me tell you Jake, and I caught myself. I said,
- 12:09Speaker 1: we can't do our normal greeting because we all know
- 12:11Speaker 1: the video. So Hi, Jay, what out mister Hardy? Normal greeting?
- 12:20Speaker 1: What our food? Big dog? And dog? What to do? Baby?
- 12:25Speaker 1: It's munt many. I want to thank Amazon because I
- 12:30Speaker 1: ordered the National Geographic Visual Atlas of the World book
- 12:35Speaker 1: Take Coffee Table Book from my house because I saw
- 12:39Speaker 1: one at this place and I thought it was the
- 12:41Speaker 1: most incredible map booklet of the world that I had sought,
- 12:45Speaker 1: and so I ordered it and it came and it's
- 12:48Speaker 1: the first time I've ever ordered anything off Amazon. Amazon,
- 12:53Speaker 1: and I'm excited because they would tell them talking to
- 12:55Speaker 1: me at the job, you know, on one of the
- 12:57Speaker 1: commercial breaks, had to talk show and they said, so, Steve,
- 13:01Speaker 1: how do you love Amazon? I'm a Prime member or somebody.
- 13:06Speaker 1: And I said, I don't know what you're talking about.
- 13:09Speaker 1: They said Amazon Prime when you order or I said
- 13:12Speaker 1: order what? They said anything? I said, I've never ordered
- 13:16Speaker 1: anything off Amazon? And boy, what did I say that?
- 13:21Speaker 1: I said that, and them people looked at me like,
- 13:26Speaker 1: what you never? Because I've never ordered anything off Amazon before.
- 13:34Speaker 1: I just get it and the two books the same day. Bro,
- 13:38Speaker 1: I didn't know that I could have ordered a data
- 13:43Speaker 1: bought it to the house like three hours, four hours later. Yeah,
- 13:47Speaker 1: I said, who is these people? These people order something
- 13:54Speaker 1: last evening and got it this morning. When I opened
- 13:58Speaker 1: my door, I was so excited. Love Amazon. That's why
- 14:02Speaker 1: Jeff Beza, this is a billion the richest man in
- 14:05Speaker 1: the world is killing them all. Oh yeah, you've never
- 14:11Speaker 1: seen your Amazon drap. They drop off and be gone. Yeah,
- 14:16Speaker 1: they ring the doorbell. Run. They don't have time. They
- 14:22Speaker 1: gotta get to the next delivery. All right, all right, Steve,
- 14:27Speaker 1: coming up at thirty two after the hour, listen to
- 14:29Speaker 1: this your morning inspiration as we all know, has touched
- 14:32Speaker 1: many many people. While we have an email this morning
- 14:35Speaker 1: from a listener titled my morning Man saved my life.
- 14:39Speaker 1: Get ready for this, Steve. We'll read it right after
- 14:42Speaker 1: this you're listening to show. Okay, Steve, your morning inspiration
- 14:48Speaker 1: has touched so many people. We received this email. It's
- 14:51Speaker 1: titled my morning Man saved My life. Check this out, Steve.
- 14:55Speaker 1: Good morning. I'm so grateful to be writing this to you.
- 14:58Speaker 1: I woke up one morning in a month after my
- 15:01Speaker 1: father passed, two weeks after my wife and children left me,
- 15:04Speaker 1: and three weeks after I was told stayed out. Okay,
- 15:08Speaker 1: good morning, I'm so grateful to be writing this to you.
- 15:11Speaker 1: I woke up one morning and a month after my
- 15:14Speaker 1: father passed, two weeks after my children and wife left me,
- 15:19Speaker 1: and three weeks after I was told that I have
- 15:22Speaker 1: cancer in my left lung. This is the hardest thing
- 15:26Speaker 1: to speak of. Well, at five thirty six thirty am
- 15:30Speaker 1: that Wednesday morning, I wanted to end my life. I
- 15:35Speaker 1: turned on the radio to hear B Thompson, but I
- 15:38Speaker 1: got Steve Harvey speaking of God. You said, if you
- 15:42Speaker 1: find yourself at the end of your rope, let go
- 15:45Speaker 1: I promise you that my God will catch you. That
- 15:49Speaker 1: was five years ago. I've been blessed ever since. I'm
- 15:54Speaker 1: cancer free and so much more. Thank you, I must say.
- 15:59Speaker 1: I am a combat marine who lost his way till
- 16:02Speaker 1: that day. I still tear up when I think about it.
- 16:05Speaker 1: Thank you for helping me believe again. Marine boy. Yeah
- 16:12Speaker 1: that's right. Yeah, wow, so much tragedy in his life,
- 16:19Speaker 1: no idea what they go through A big dog. This
- 16:21Speaker 1: guy wakes up, his father passes, his wife and kids
- 16:27Speaker 1: leave it. Did he get canceled? Yeah, this all happened
- 16:31Speaker 1: like relatively close. Yeah. Yeah, Yeah, that's a that's a
- 16:37Speaker 1: that's a bad month though. Yeah, that's a rough one.
- 16:41Speaker 1: That's a rough one. I think this is for everybody.
- 16:44Speaker 1: It's something for everybody. You know, if you just do good,
- 16:48Speaker 1: you never know how it's gonna play out. You don't
- 16:51Speaker 1: know through your actions of kindness. You don't know that
- 16:55Speaker 1: a simple act of kindness that you might perform throughout
- 16:58Speaker 1: your date, how that one small act of kindness might
- 17:02Speaker 1: affect somebody. Because what's a small act of kindness for
- 17:05Speaker 1: you can mean the world to somebody else, right, and everybody,
- 17:11Speaker 1: you know, that's something for everybody. I mean, I'm grateful
- 17:14Speaker 1: to know that I've affected somebody that way, but it's
- 17:18Speaker 1: really important for everybody to gain something from that. You
- 17:21Speaker 1: know that your actions can have a profound effect on
- 17:27Speaker 1: a person, a really really profound effect on a person,
- 17:32Speaker 1: And you just don't know, man, You just don't know.
- 17:36Speaker 1: You don't know. Man. You may not remember it as
- 17:39Speaker 1: a famous person, but the person that you encountered and
- 17:43Speaker 1: interacted with will always remember that moment. So you know,
- 17:47Speaker 1: try to make it meaningful and like you say, try
- 17:49Speaker 1: to be kind to a person because they'll never forget that. Now. Yeah,
- 17:54Speaker 1: you know, it's it's it's I mean, you know, it's
- 17:59Speaker 1: it's crazy. Man. I remember one time I was at
- 18:03Speaker 1: I was at Essence and I was walking through I
- 18:08Speaker 1: gonna went out in the back way and my security
- 18:12Speaker 1: guard at the time, and you know, I won't mention
- 18:15Speaker 1: his name, but this big dude was trying to get Timmy,
- 18:18Speaker 1: this really heavy guy, really really about three hundred pounds,
- 18:24Speaker 1: and I kept hearing him go stand down, soldier, stand down.
- 18:28Speaker 1: And the dude kept saying, hey, man, I just need
- 18:32Speaker 1: to see mister Harvey for a minute. And I just
- 18:35Speaker 1: kept hearing him say stand down, saying I'd heard just
- 18:37Speaker 1: about three different times walking and then we got into
- 18:40Speaker 1: this big empty area behind this wall and it was
- 18:45Speaker 1: like the other side of one of those convention halls
- 18:47Speaker 1: at essence, you know, that was empty. And I saw
- 18:50Speaker 1: this big dude just running towards us, and he was big, man.
- 18:55Speaker 1: He had a white coat, and stand down, I told you,
- 18:59Speaker 1: he said, Man, he right there. Man, if I could
- 19:01Speaker 1: just talk to it for a minute, and I said,
- 19:03Speaker 1: hold on, man, hold on, man, and then let me
- 19:06Speaker 1: talk to the brother. What's the matter. So, you know,
- 19:08Speaker 1: a little go between between him and him and a
- 19:10Speaker 1: brother came up to me and said, mister Harvey, I
- 19:13Speaker 1: was locked up man for about twelve years. I've been
- 19:18Speaker 1: listening to you every morning. Man, he said, Man, you
- 19:21Speaker 1: made me think about a lot of stuff. When I
- 19:23Speaker 1: was looked at you said, you said, God ain't create
- 19:26Speaker 1: create me to be this way, he said, Man, if
- 19:29Speaker 1: you're in prison and you can get in a program
- 19:31Speaker 1: to better yourself, he said, So I got into program. Man,
- 19:34Speaker 1: I've been out for three years. I've been looking for you.
- 19:38Speaker 1: He said. I just want you to know, man, that
- 19:39Speaker 1: I started taking up cooking in prison, and when I
- 19:44Speaker 1: got out and went to color the culinary school. He said, Man,
- 19:47Speaker 1: I'm a head chef at the Hilton right now, I
- 19:50Speaker 1: just wanted to hug you. And the big dude hugged
- 19:53Speaker 1: me and he started crying. Well, you know, I'm crying
- 19:56Speaker 1: now because for you, you know, you you a man,
- 20:01Speaker 1: and you crying causing me, you know, I mean, he
- 20:05Speaker 1: busted me up. I'm back there. And then when he
- 20:09Speaker 1: got through, he turned around thrones secure to God, say
- 20:11Speaker 1: little man, you need to watch yourself. He he wiped
- 20:17Speaker 1: his eye. He said, little man, need to watch yourself.
- 20:22Speaker 1: And he went on pot of his business man. And
- 20:25Speaker 1: that really affected me, man, the rest of that day.
- 20:28Speaker 1: And I still think about that story because you know,
- 20:31Speaker 1: how do I know this man is sitting somewhere listening
- 20:34Speaker 1: to something I may have said that might have had
- 20:37Speaker 1: an effect. And I'm just grateful. I'm really, really grateful. Man.
- 20:41Speaker 1: I'm not bigheaded about it at all, because I don't
- 20:43Speaker 1: even know these things, right, So I'm just like, great
- 20:46Speaker 1: grateful man to God. Uh uses me as a piece
- 20:50Speaker 1: of pipe. Sometimes not all times, you know, sometimes the
- 20:55Speaker 1: pipe be clogged up. I gotta tell y'all be real
- 20:58Speaker 1: about that now. Sometimes my pipe look more like sewage pipe, neto. Yeah,
- 21:03Speaker 1: well sometimes as sewage pipe. You know, just some bad
- 21:05Speaker 1: stuff come through it. You just here nine and that
- 21:09Speaker 1: rotor rutter Man clears it out to do with me,
- 21:15Speaker 1: I appreciate. Okay, well you helped someone. There's living proof,

- 21:24Speaker 1: great story. That message all right, Coming up next, guys,
- 21:27Speaker 1: from inspirational to fun and ignorance. You know, it's Monday,
- 21:30Speaker 1: so you know what that means. Church complaints with Reverend
- 21:33Speaker 1: Motown and Deacon death Jam right after this you're listening
- 21:40Speaker 1: to show coming up at the top of the hour
- 21:44Speaker 1: and entertainment News Weekend Box Office Report, and Chicago's top prosecutor,
- 21:49Speaker 1: Kim Fox has been subpoenaed to appear at a court
- 21:53Speaker 1: hearing regarding her handling of the Jesse small Lett attack.
- 21:56Speaker 1: We'll talk about it, yeah, right after this, but first
- 22:02Speaker 1: it's time for church complaints. It most definitely. Yeah, take
- 22:12Speaker 1: your time. Now, we we are hell yes, we are bound,
- 22:21Speaker 1: gagged and hostestified. I didn't know he was gagged, but
- 22:27Speaker 1: okay back, we are unbound by his messy Yes, we
- 22:33Speaker 1: are gagged in truth now truth or the matter is,
- 22:40Speaker 1: but this hell, which time for to hear? What this
- 22:43Speaker 1: congregation or though I must say it is an ungrateful
- 22:48Speaker 1: congregation wanting to complain about today. Go ahead, the leader
- 22:53Speaker 1: of complaints, all right, I go ahead, aster I. Sister
- 23:02Speaker 1: renem Malvo, her dog Speckles has died, as you know,
- 23:08Speaker 1: that was her seeing eye dog. He has passed away
- 23:12Speaker 1: backers has died now pass to the problem is she
- 23:16Speaker 1: could not find another sing eye dog. He now has
- 23:22Speaker 1: a cniye goat. But the problem is she is eating
- 23:28Speaker 1: Sister Gertrude Williams had every Sunday, and Sister Gertrude has
- 23:34Speaker 1: a problem with that. So that's the issue that we
- 23:36Speaker 1: have going on with the se and I goat. I
- 23:44Speaker 1: don't really have a response with this. Don't blame you, pass,
- 23:51Speaker 1: don't kill. Why is Sister Gertrude always over the body
- 23:58Speaker 1: goat with the damn head on in the first knowing
- 24:03Speaker 1: that if gold eat hat right right, but that's what
- 24:07Speaker 1: the goat down. He does eat hats. But I don't
- 24:09Speaker 1: know why he seems to be right by the goat.
- 24:12Speaker 1: I don't know why that is. Well, a lot of
- 24:15Speaker 1: just so you know, I've had a lot of people
- 24:17Speaker 1: coming in here, and it's paying money for the upkeep
- 24:22Speaker 1: of the goat cause they ship behind such a good
- 24:26Speaker 1: truth and can't see service causing them hats and they're
- 24:29Speaker 1: happy with the goat. All right, the goat has a purpose,
- 24:36Speaker 1: Yes it has, Yes it has ignorant listen, Joe Biden
- 24:48Speaker 1: is asking he wants to come here and make a
- 24:50Speaker 1: statement because he's running for president. But he is asking
- 24:54Speaker 1: if we could hold a hold and sniff type of
- 25:00Speaker 1: Ramoni holding sniff, because that's what he does. He wants
- 25:03Speaker 1: us to do that. We're gonna stop that right now.
- 25:07Speaker 1: He's not gonna be able to come to this congregation
- 25:10Speaker 1: cause for Nita Hill's grandmama Gold's Hill and has said
- 25:15Speaker 1: that if she ever seen him, she hoped his ass.
- 25:19Speaker 1: So Joe Biden can't come Hill because Anita Hill's grandmama
- 25:25Speaker 1: is a tide paying member Hill. Let's get let's just
- 25:30Speaker 1: get him elected, all right, Well, you won't Biden to
- 25:35Speaker 1: come here and make a speech or not. I just
- 25:40Speaker 1: said he can come here, but Nita Hill grandmama go
- 25:45Speaker 1: to Churchhill. Now, what part this you ain't hereat? I didn't, Okay,
- 25:50Speaker 1: I'm sorry. We gonna vote for him anyway. We don't
- 25:54Speaker 1: give it that who run gets Trump, that who we
- 25:56Speaker 1: vote for. He can't come down here now, how called
- 25:59Speaker 1: Nita Hill grandmama? All right, but let's move along. I
- 26:03Speaker 1: didn't know. I didn't know. I didn't even know his grandma.
- 26:05Speaker 1: I didn't know nothing. That's why you had the complete
- 26:10Speaker 1: You don't know that the majority of church like that goat,
- 26:12Speaker 1: but you brought that. Okay, listen, the Game of Thrones Ministry,
- 26:19Speaker 1: all right, would like to have a conversation with you,
- 26:24Speaker 1: because they say, as a dragon lady that live that's
- 26:27Speaker 1: in the congregation, sister h Mayola Jenkins, And they don't
- 26:34Speaker 1: want to participate until you get Mayola out of the congregation.
- 26:38Speaker 1: That's all I'm saying. Mayola Jenkins is in the congregation.
- 26:43Speaker 1: And why do Mayola had to leave congregation because the
- 26:51Speaker 1: Game of Thrones and minister says she is a dragon
- 26:54Speaker 1: looking lady. Dragon look she's dragging looking. Yeah, well, now
- 27:02Speaker 1: that's a lot of nerve. Called sister Sister Arlean, who
- 27:06Speaker 1: is the head of the Game and Throne Ministry, looked
- 27:10Speaker 1: Jett like terrion the nerve. So now what you at
- 27:16Speaker 1: least the dragon lady quigated gall She had that same
- 27:24Speaker 1: outfit Terrion had on last Sunday at the Passer's anniversary,
- 27:29Speaker 1: with a little hand pin and everything. And then the
- 27:36Speaker 1: other sister looked, you're like the hound. So who is
- 27:40Speaker 1: worried about? What do you want me to tell sis to? Mala?
- 27:45Speaker 1: I don't care what you tell them to ugly women
- 27:51Speaker 1: looking past And that's the its we allowed ugly people
- 27:57Speaker 1: to come to this church. Me and you ain't that attractive?
- 28:04Speaker 1: All right? No, I know you don't like admitting that
- 28:08Speaker 1: you have trouble knowing that you that's not my path,
- 28:14Speaker 1: that's Timmy. That's well, nah, deacon, you look you like
- 28:18Speaker 1: Tommy though? Whoa you put them glass on down on
- 28:23Speaker 1: tip of your nose, you turn looking a little man though.
- 28:26Speaker 1: All right, I'm gonna write around faster. I don't know
- 28:29Speaker 1: if you've heard, but Kanye West was like the whole
- 28:33Speaker 1: service here at our Jack Pott Joint of Jerusalem, my
- 28:38Speaker 1: own Sunday. But he says he not gonna have it
- 28:41Speaker 1: unless everybody is. When yees sneakers, that's on you path,
- 28:46Speaker 1: Well let me use your sneaker twenty five now, now
- 28:51Speaker 1: pay notch tesday did they buy four hundred and fifty
- 28:56Speaker 1: something dollars. But they not they die. Oh they ain't
- 28:57Speaker 1: no problem. He ain't got to come down here, didn't
- 28:59Speaker 1: want if tell you what, if he send us the
- 29:02Speaker 1: money where everybody can wear easy, we'll we'll put on
- 29:08Speaker 1: some datas, some what ordas or dads is spelled back,
- 29:16Speaker 1: which is easies thinking he is anyway, Now that's not

- 30:45Speaker 1: It's the big Steve, It's Hue here was crazy. What
- 30:50Speaker 1: you want to hear? What the craziest part of this story?
- 30:52Speaker 1: Don't tell me. I don't even he I ain't never
- 30:55Speaker 1: seen no Avenger and I don't know what the hell
- 30:57Speaker 1: y'all talking about. You see, you know, I know my

- 31:46Speaker 1: make the movies because they said they're not sticking to
- 31:49Speaker 1: the story in the comic book. So you got that
- 31:51Speaker 1: war Lord right? Yeah. Oh, it's serious business, you know,

- 32:37Speaker 1: who is seeking the appointment of a special prosecutor to
- 32:41Speaker 1: look into how Kim dealt with the super controversial case.
- 32:45Speaker 1: According to a report from the Chicago Sun Times, the
- 32:48Speaker 1: retired judge reportedly requested Jesse and Fox produced all original
- 32:53Speaker 1: documents in the case to prove that they have not
- 32:56Speaker 1: been altered or destroyed. This is over. No, It's a
- 33:02Speaker 1: damn shame that they got this much attention poured to
- 33:06Speaker 1: the actions of prosecutors in the Jesse Smollet case when
- 33:11Speaker 1: at best, at best he's charged with lying. Now, when
- 33:16Speaker 1: you shoot a black man and you're a police officer,
- 33:19Speaker 1: it ain't nowhere near this scrutiny of a trial when
- 33:22Speaker 1: one of them get let off. Where As the uproar
- 33:25Speaker 1: and and and and unrest from all these politicians, the
- 33:30Speaker 1: damn mail and all these other people in the government.
- 33:33Speaker 1: When when, when when a human being gets shot and
- 33:36Speaker 1: killed by one of your officers, there's no uproar then

- 34:53Speaker 1: Investigation in Seattle say it's going to take months to
- 34:55Speaker 1: figure out why construction crane fell from a building on
- 34:58Speaker 1: Google's new campus on Saturday, crashing into cars below and

- 35:07Speaker 1: used when it was toppled over. In fact, it was
- 35:09Speaker 1: being taken apart by iron workers, two of whom died.
- 35:13Speaker 1: State investigators have six months to complete their probe. Horrible news.
- 35:17Speaker 1: Just hours after he was drafted by the Giants, a
- 35:19Speaker 1: college football standout named Corey Ballantine was shot in the
- 35:23Speaker 1: murky attack that left his roommate, former teammate, and best

- 36:09Speaker 1: And in case you haven't heard, the Avengers endgame broke
- 36:13Speaker 1: box office records this weekend. Even if there's a small chance,
- 36:18Speaker 1: we owe this to everyone who is not in this
- 36:20Speaker 1: room to try. Three will whatever it takes, whatever it takes,
- 36:25Speaker 1: whatever it takes. The three hour movie earned three hundred
- 36:29Speaker 1: and fifty million dollars domestically, a jaw dropping one point
- 36:32Speaker 1: two billion globally. That's billion with a beat. Now back

- 42:23Speaker 1: know that's when you see a person that's in his guilt,
- 42:27Speaker 1: there's no need to you trying to do it because
- 42:29Speaker 1: ain't what you do. You know that ain't what you do.
- 42:32Speaker 1: It's not clearly you know he's little doing in his guilt.
- 42:37Speaker 1: That's just absolute genius. I mean, you know that's what

- 44:10Speaker 1: They're trying to find me to make some pans. But
- 44:13Speaker 1: I can't get with it because every time I turn around,
- 44:16Speaker 1: I ain't got no zippers in it. I try to
- 44:18Speaker 1: put on pants, but I can't. They can't stop me.
- 44:22Speaker 1: But every time I make a pan, ain't got no pockets.
- 44:25Speaker 1: So you know what I'm saying. My name is j

- 50:08Speaker 1: where I'm wrong? I'm gonna ask you straight up? Did
- 50:11Speaker 1: you know she had a man? Say? What? Did you
- 50:13Speaker 1: know she had a man? But I mean kind of
- 50:16Speaker 1: kind of sought of, but not really though he don't
- 50:19Speaker 1: kind of saught the man. Even you know she got
- 50:21Speaker 1: a man? Know she don't got a man? You knew
- 50:23Speaker 1: she had a man? Right? And you still win? Dy? Right?
- 50:25Speaker 1: They do? I ain't got nothing to do with y'all. Man,
- 50:28Speaker 1: I'm dealing with these bad bugs. You understand I'm saying. Dude?
- 50:31Speaker 1: Do you understand you messing up a full year relationship?

- 50:51Speaker 1: got nothing to do with it, But the fact that
- 50:52Speaker 1: you told me that she was over your house and
- 50:54Speaker 1: your bad that's over. It's over now. You understand what

- 51:06Speaker 1: come find your First of all, how did you get
- 51:08Speaker 1: the number to this apartment? That's what I want to know. Hey, dude,
- 51:11Speaker 1: she gave me both numbers, the cell phone number in
- 51:13Speaker 1: the house number and told me, you know, if it's

- 52:22Speaker 1: the king. Y'all has three kings, Kings of Comedy, Kings
- 52:25Speaker 1: of Prank, King of Rap. Right here three three we
- 52:38Speaker 1: three Kings, Ting of Comedy, Inger Pranks, and the latest
- 52:45Speaker 1: edition is the King of Rap. No, not King King,
- 52:50Speaker 1: that's different. Okay, So you you are established? Now, how
- 52:57Speaker 1: many albums you got? Whoa you're gonna go with that pick? If?

- 53:22Speaker 1: You ain't gott doing that. I don't work in room. First,

- 53:50Speaker 1: all right? Thinking if you up necked Strawberry Letters subject
- 53:53Speaker 1: to drunk dyling dilemma, we're getting into it right after this.
- 53:57Speaker 1: You're listening Steve Harpy Morning Show time now for the
- 54:01Speaker 1: Strawberry Letter, guys, and if you need some advice on
- 54:04Speaker 1: your relationships, on dating, on work, on sex, on parenting,
- 54:07Speaker 1: and more, please please please submit your Strawberry letter to
- 54:12Speaker 1: Steve Harvey f M and click submit Strawberry Letter, and
- 54:16Speaker 1: we could be reading your letter live on the air,
- 54:18Speaker 1: just like we're gonna read this one today. Right, Let's
- 54:22Speaker 1: go buckle up and hold on tight. We got it
- 54:24Speaker 1: for you here. It is the Strawbary Letter, subject drunk
- 54:28Speaker 1: dialing Dilemma. Dear Stephen Shirley, I have a situation that
- 54:33Speaker 1: has become a huge frustration in my life, and I
- 54:36Speaker 1: need advice on setting healthy boundaries with a good friend,
- 54:40Speaker 1: so I don't seem like a prude, which I've been called.
- 54:44Speaker 1: I have a good friend who seems to be having
- 54:46Speaker 1: a problem with alcohol lately. I don't care what people
- 54:49Speaker 1: do in their own homes and on their own time. However,
- 54:52Speaker 1: when you include me in your mess by calling me
- 54:54Speaker 1: drunk and belligerent and I can't understand what you're saying,
- 54:57Speaker 1: then you'll have to hear my mouth when you're sober up.
- 55:01Speaker 1: I have a friend that loves to indulge in alcohol,
- 55:04Speaker 1: and she always goes overboard when we're out or when
- 55:08Speaker 1: she's drinking at home. I've asked her to please stop
- 55:11Speaker 1: calling me when she's inebriated, and I don't think that's
- 55:15Speaker 1: too much to ask. We are in our late forties
- 55:18Speaker 1: and it's time out for this behavior. Consume as much
- 55:21Speaker 1: alcohol as you wish, but don't call me and expect
- 55:24Speaker 1: me to talk to your drunk behind when I can
- 55:26Speaker 1: barely understand what you're saying. Nothing you're saying makes sense,
- 55:30Speaker 1: and you get mad at me when I tell you.
- 55:32Speaker 1: So the phone calls still continue, and I've told her
- 55:36Speaker 1: that she needs help when she's sober. She's a great
- 55:39Speaker 1: friend and person, so I want to salvage the relationship. Lately,
- 55:43Speaker 1: I've been ignoring her calls when I think she may
- 55:46Speaker 1: be drunk, but then I end up frustrated and worried
- 55:49Speaker 1: about her. She calls other friends too, and they don't
- 55:52Speaker 1: seem to mind. Do you think that I am overreacting
- 55:55Speaker 1: to the situation and I am in fact a prude?
- 55:58Speaker 1: Or should I just ignore or her calls all together
- 56:01Speaker 1: and let the friendship die? Please help? Okay? I think
- 56:06Speaker 1: you're absolutely right and how you're feeling. I think you're
- 56:08Speaker 1: perfectly within your rights to feel this way about your
- 56:11Speaker 1: drunk friend. There's nothing prudish about you. I mean, who
- 56:15Speaker 1: wants to put up with this? This is foolishness? Who
- 56:17Speaker 1: does this? I mean, I think your friend. You're right,
- 56:20Speaker 1: Your friend needs help. She needs it right now today
- 56:23Speaker 1: because she does not know how to control her alcohol.
- 56:27Speaker 1: And she's holding you hostage as her friend by calling
- 56:29Speaker 1: you and talking to you drunk and getting on your
- 56:33Speaker 1: nerves and frustrating you. So, yeah, she needs help. This
- 56:36Speaker 1: is a bad situation. You're right, you're in your late forties.
- 56:39Speaker 1: It is time out for this behavior. You know, as
- 56:43Speaker 1: a friend. Perhaps you can tell her about AA or
- 56:48Speaker 1: take her to alanon, or suggest Alanon to her, or
- 56:52Speaker 1: seriously stop taking her calls when she's like that. You know,
- 56:56Speaker 1: if you pick up the phone and you hear her drunk,
- 56:58Speaker 1: hang up, tell her you don't have time of this.
- 57:00Speaker 1: You have to go on with your life. This is crazy.
- 57:02Speaker 1: If you want to be a true friend, you can
- 57:04Speaker 1: do some of those things I suggested. I don't think
- 57:08Speaker 1: you should necessarily let the friendship go. If you think
- 57:10Speaker 1: she's a great person when she's not drunk, but she
- 57:13Speaker 1: clearly needs help and that's her friend, maybe you can
- 57:16Speaker 1: lead her down that path. Steve Wow, the name of
- 57:22Speaker 1: this is a drunk dialing dilemma, which is saying that
- 57:26Speaker 1: this woman has a problem. She's got a good friend
- 57:32Speaker 1: that she wants to deal with, but she don't want
- 57:35Speaker 1: to be considered a prude. She seems to be having
- 57:41Speaker 1: a problem with alcohol lately. Well, let me clear you
- 57:45Speaker 1: up on something. Don't nobody seem to be having a
- 57:49Speaker 1: problem with alcohol. They have a problem with alcohol. You
- 57:55Speaker 1: don't even have to don't try to soften it. She
- 57:58Speaker 1: got a problem with alcohol. Now you try to be nice.
- 58:02Speaker 1: You say you don't care what people do in their
- 58:04Speaker 1: own homes and on their own time. But when you
- 58:08Speaker 1: include me in your mess by calling me drunk and belligerent. See,
- 58:12Speaker 1: that's what I don't mind drunk people, I really don't.
- 58:16Speaker 1: I'm okay with drunk people. I don't like talking to them,
- 58:20Speaker 1: but if they drunk, it's beligerate. Now you are angry
- 58:25Speaker 1: at heads drunk, right, See, and drunk people don't. When
- 58:30Speaker 1: they beligerate, it just sounds just it. They're the same
- 58:37Speaker 1: as being drunk. They just make attitude statements like you don't,
- 58:45Speaker 1: I don't. I don't want to be standing on your foot.
- 58:51Speaker 1: Hell you mean you don't want to be standing on
- 58:53Speaker 1: my foot. Get your drunk ass off my foot, Get
- 58:56Speaker 1: your foot from my mind and my foot. Wait a minute,
- 59:01Speaker 1: Wait a minute, man. You see, beligerent when you drunk
- 59:06Speaker 1: makes other statements. You make the people you're talking to,
- 59:10Speaker 1: You make them thinking something wrong with them. Stop smiling
- 59:15Speaker 1: at me. That's when you drunk in beligerent. That's the
- 59:23Speaker 1: anger in beligerent. We'll get into that a little bit more. Now.
- 59:29Speaker 1: You got a friend that loves indulging alcohol, and she
- 59:32Speaker 1: goes aboard when we out, and when she's drinking at home,
- 59:36Speaker 1: you've asked her the police stop calling you when she's inebriated.
- 59:40Speaker 1: I don't see you are approved because she inebriated. She drunk.
- 59:44Speaker 1: Stop using big ass words, real small ass situation. She
- 59:49Speaker 1: just drunk. Now, I don't think that's too much to ask.
- 59:55Speaker 1: Here's your other problem. We are in forty yes, yes, now,
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: drunk people in their forties it's hard to talk to.
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: And you know why because they have forty years of
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: mess to draw on to bring up. You remember when
- 1:00:19Speaker 1: we was kids and you didn't let me go back?
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: Then pull your wagon. Kids don't even have wagons anymore.
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: So when young people here, forty year old people arguing,
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: they just is confused. What wagon is aunt Ella talking about? Wagon?
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: She fell off the wagon? Now her wagon? Who has
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: a wagon? You see in this very confusing. So when
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: drunk people consume alcohol and they're older, they have a
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: lot and so now you're faced with a lot of problems.
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: So when we come back, what I'm gonna do is
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: I'm gonna give you a list of things that drunk
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: people say that they claim is your fault, but it's
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: really they fault. This is the problem when you're drunk
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: and belligerent. It'd be different if you was drunk and happy.
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: Oh I'm sorry, I am I all your foot. I
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: keep steffering old people. See see that's different. But the

- 1:02:50Speaker 1: she can talk to her and get her to either
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: stop drinking or quick calling her, or she stopped just
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: answering the phone and let the friendship die. First of all,
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: let me help you with something. This is not a friendship.
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: Why do you keep calling it a friendship when she

- 1:07:25Speaker 1: For sure. I like that. I'm not angry. Hey, do
- 1:07:32Speaker 1: you get sleepy at all? Dude? Does drinking make you
- 1:07:35Speaker 1: go to sleep or anything? I mean, after you've called
- 1:07:37Speaker 1: all these people? Sometimes I like it when I be sleeping.

- 1:16:13Speaker 1: me tell Tommy at the end of the episode two right,
- 1:16:17Speaker 1: they came from the edge of the fourth and all right,
- 1:16:25Speaker 1: listen coming up at the top of the hour and
- 1:16:27Speaker 1: trending news Kim Kardashian foll CBD themed baby shower. Okay,
- 1:16:33Speaker 1: we'll talk about that right after this. You're listening. Hey, Tommy,
- 1:16:41Speaker 1: you have some exciting news for us, right I do.
- 1:16:45Speaker 1: I gotta give a big shout out to my son,
- 1:16:47Speaker 1: Jordan Miles. Did he did his first try athlete. He's
- 1:16:51Speaker 1: seven years old, did his first triathlon. Oh my, I'll
- 1:16:56Speaker 1: listen to proud Papa. I'm a proud up in here.
- 1:17:01Speaker 1: That is that is uh. You start off with a swim.
- 1:17:04Speaker 1: You swim, and then you after that you ride your bike,
- 1:17:06Speaker 1: and then after you ride your bike, you run. And
- 1:17:09Speaker 1: let me tell you something, my boy was getting it.
- 1:17:12Speaker 1: You hit me, Yes, I'm talking about three thousand kids
- 1:17:16Speaker 1: on their bicycles. My boy was getting up in there.
- 1:17:21Speaker 1: But here's the trip part. The transition part is when
- 1:17:24Speaker 1: you when you leave the when you leave swimming, you
- 1:17:27Speaker 1: go to a certain area which is called the transition area,
- 1:17:31Speaker 1: and you get on your bike. Parents are not allowed
- 1:17:34Speaker 1: in the transition area, so the kid has to uh,
- 1:17:39Speaker 1: put his sneakers on, get his helmet on, and then
- 1:17:42Speaker 1: get on the bike and then move on and keep
- 1:17:44Speaker 1: rolling and start rolling on your bicycle, and then and
- 1:17:47Speaker 1: then when you get through with the bike, you come
- 1:17:48Speaker 1: back to the transition area and then you get ready
- 1:17:51Speaker 1: to run another I think a half a mile. And
- 1:17:55Speaker 1: I'm sitting there like, oh my god, I can't I'm
- 1:17:59Speaker 1: trying to find him. Here's a trip part when he
- 1:18:02Speaker 1: transitions from the bike to the running. Now I'm I'm
- 1:18:07Speaker 1: trying to get his picture. But this lady tells me, hey,
- 1:18:11Speaker 1: you need to get your butt to the finish line
- 1:18:15Speaker 1: because you're gonna miss the Finnish line picture. I say, well,
- 1:18:18Speaker 1: how far is that? She said, that's a half a
- 1:18:21Speaker 1: mile from here. So now I'm running to get to
- 1:18:26Speaker 1: the finish line. I thought she thing I wasn't following
- 1:18:33Speaker 1: the damn story. Your man shut up to Thomas wanted
- 1:18:41Speaker 1: the kid man, I got to the finish line. I
- 1:18:44Speaker 1: got there about I got about forty five seconds before
- 1:18:47Speaker 1: he got there, and I was able to record my
- 1:18:49Speaker 1: son coming into the Finnish line. Big ups to my
- 1:18:53Speaker 1: boy Jordan Miles first try out the line. He doing
- 1:18:56Speaker 1: it big. Oh my god, you're a good day all right? Well,
- 1:19:06Speaker 1: speaking of kids, Uh, Kim Kardashian went zin for her
- 1:19:11Speaker 1: weekend baby shower. She treated her guests to meditation, a
- 1:19:14Speaker 1: sound bath, and some CBD. Uh yeah, yeah, Well listen, Kim,
- 1:19:22Speaker 1: who I know when I hear she's expecting her fourth
- 1:19:29Speaker 1: child via surrogate, She told guests. So, because I'm freaking
- 1:19:32Speaker 1: out and the baby is coming in like two weeks,
- 1:19:34Speaker 1: I thought, what better way to celebrate than to have
- 1:19:36Speaker 1: a little CBD. For those not in the know, CBD
- 1:19:39Speaker 1: is a cannabis derivative that promotes feelings of calm and relaxation,
- 1:19:45Speaker 1: makes you feel good. Guests included uh Chrissy Teague in
- 1:19:50Speaker 1: Paris Hilton. They got to make their own CBD infused
- 1:19:52Speaker 1: body oils and bath salt. They also went home with
- 1:19:56Speaker 1: blue yeasy slides. Love that love slack slides Okay in
- 1:20:04Speaker 1: the little slip bags. I like that so what'd you say, Jay,
- 1:20:07Speaker 1: What what does it have something to do with marijuana?
- 1:20:12Speaker 1: I think it's a derivative, right, yeah, yeah, why do
- 1:20:16Speaker 1: we say it? It's without thee without that one get
- 1:20:21Speaker 1: you up, one keeps you mellow. So I heard this
- 1:20:24Speaker 1: one keeps you mew Yeah. I mean is these brownies
- 1:20:30Speaker 1: or what are the I mean, yeah, boil, Yeah, you
- 1:20:34Speaker 1: can taste it. Okay, you're talking about two different things.
- 1:20:46Speaker 1: What Jay is talking about is putting, uh making marijuana brownies,
- 1:20:52Speaker 1: solder cakes, annibals. CBD oils don't have the THHC in
- 1:20:59Speaker 1: it which gets you high, and they can have different
- 1:21:02Speaker 1: bland blend. You can have CBD oils for relaxation, stuff
- 1:21:07Speaker 1: like that. Well that's what she had, which is what
- 1:21:10Speaker 1: I said in the story that you know, I'm really
- 1:21:14Speaker 1: really being a little impressed by Kim Kardashian, man. I mean,
- 1:21:19Speaker 1: look when she freed that moment out of prison. She
- 1:21:22Speaker 1: really is. I mean she's doing to as she's talking
- 1:21:25Speaker 1: about becoming a little lawyer. She's studying for it now. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:21:30Speaker 1: she's studying for it right now. Uh yeah, it really is. Yeah,
- 1:21:35Speaker 1: She's she's doing a lot, she really is. She's changing
- 1:21:38Speaker 1: her life, reinventing herself all right. In other entertainment news,
- 1:21:43Speaker 1: last week, a judge entered a default judgment against R.
- 1:21:46Speaker 1: Kelly after he failed to respond to sexual assault charges.
- 1:21:50Speaker 1: Now we're hearing his excuses. Heather Williams claimed that the
- 1:21:54Speaker 1: that R. Kelly raped her when she was sixteen years old,
- 1:21:58Speaker 1: and years later she decided to file a civil suit.
- 1:22:02Speaker 1: Kelly was served legal paperwork while incarcerated on a child
- 1:22:06Speaker 1: support case earlier this month. His lawyer said that he
- 1:22:10Speaker 1: was too overwhelmed to understand what the paperwork meant at
- 1:22:13Speaker 1: the time he was served. The legal team also points
- 1:22:16Speaker 1: out that Kelly has a learning disability that adversely affects
- 1:22:21Speaker 1: his ability to read, making him functionally illiterate. Who say, yeah,
- 1:22:26Speaker 1: but we knew that. H Okay, Who said that? Who
- 1:22:30Speaker 1: said that about his learning disability? Yeah? His legal team,
- 1:22:33Speaker 1: his legal team, Okay, but okay. So that's so when
- 1:22:39Speaker 1: he was served these papers, he was incarcerated and he
- 1:22:42Speaker 1: was overwhelmed. He was too overwhelmed. They're saying he didn't
- 1:22:44Speaker 1: understand what it meant. He was supposed to be that. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:22:48Speaker 1: he didn't understand. So that's what they're saying. He has
- 1:22:52Speaker 1: a learning disability. He didn't know. That's why he didn't.
- 1:22:55Speaker 1: He didn't get it, Okay, Yeah, I mean, I mean, huh,
- 1:23:07Speaker 1: that don't make sense to me. But he's a genius
- 1:23:10Speaker 1: in other ways. You know, I think he understands well.
- 1:23:16Speaker 1: When he heard this, he was I know, a peeing moment.
- 1:23:26Speaker 1: I know he peed on this here. I know he did.
- 1:23:29Speaker 1: You ain't gonna get mad at me by this prison
- 1:23:34Speaker 1: tummy I'm sorry. I know he put caller. I know
- 1:23:39Speaker 1: he t t on himself my name. No, yeah, I
- 1:23:46Speaker 1: don't want to tummy thick around around three Frank, Hey,
- 1:24:01Speaker 1: king up? Did he paid? We hear? I'm sorry? Radio
- 1:24:07Speaker 1: he made water? Hey that's a Morgan Freeman reference and
- 1:24:11Speaker 1: driving this, jaz I resent that? All right? Coming up
- 1:24:15Speaker 1: more of the Steve Harvey Morning Show. We'll be back
- 1:24:17Speaker 1: at twenty minutes after the hour. Right after this. You're
- 1:24:22Speaker 1: listening Morning show. All right, Junior's here with the NBA
- 1:24:27Speaker 1: playoff updates. What your gut? Oh man, everybody got good? Now?
- 1:24:35Speaker 1: It is serious now I'm on top of it. Come on,
- 1:24:37Speaker 1: all right? You know that de would be San Antonio
- 1:24:40Speaker 1: ninety to eighty six and Nan they will take on

- 1:24:48Speaker 1: talk about we won't get to that one. Yeah, but
- 1:24:53Speaker 1: Philly lost to Toronto one oh eight to ninety five.
- 1:24:57Speaker 1: Did that change your peak for this series? On? No,
- 1:25:01Speaker 1: I still won't Philly to win, even though Kawhi is
- 1:25:05Speaker 1: mold mold and they can handle they got Nobody, Nobody,
- 1:25:10Speaker 1: Nobody boy. At that point, Guard Lily cold Man plays

- 1:25:20Speaker 1: look man, and getting that Greek boy, that Greek boy, Tommy, Tommy,
- 1:25:25Speaker 1: you're talking about this one series. We're just talking about Philly.
- 1:25:29Speaker 1: We hadn't got his hair shaved off on both sides?
- 1:25:32Speaker 1: What about him? Hey, Junior, go ahead, man, all right?
- 1:25:36Speaker 1: And now this was the surprise game right here. I
- 1:25:40Speaker 1: didn't expect the go like this, but Boston beat the
- 1:25:42Speaker 1: Brakes off Millwall one twelve the nineties. Oh man, you
- 1:25:47Speaker 1: know who was good in that game? The black guy
- 1:25:49Speaker 1: would only tattoos. I can't think that I was fully
- 1:25:56Speaker 1: expecting Milwaukee to play better but album, but I thought that,
- 1:26:02Speaker 1: you know, Boston has come around, man, and starting to
- 1:26:05Speaker 1: become the team everybody thought they would be at the
- 1:26:07Speaker 1: beginning of the season at the right time. But get
- 1:26:10Speaker 1: to that peaking right now. That's a good time, payoff time,
- 1:26:12Speaker 1: good time staying around serious Lebrondo. Yeah, he's probably doing
- 1:26:17Speaker 1: great up rich Yeah, be fine. He's doing about good
- 1:26:21Speaker 1: as Houston doing right now. That's last night. Yeah, yeah
- 1:26:28Speaker 1: we lost. Yeah we lost one hundred to one of
- 1:26:30Speaker 1: folks to Golden State. Yeah we lost last night, But
- 1:26:32Speaker 1: we can beat Golden State. We can't beat Golden State
- 1:26:36Speaker 1: and the refs. We can't playing both. No, y'all can't
- 1:26:40Speaker 1: stop it. I'm not. James Harden has got to play
- 1:26:46Speaker 1: better in the PA. You didn't see the refs in
- 1:26:49Speaker 1: this game, man, for real, or James Harden has to
- 1:26:52Speaker 1: play better because it shouldn't even have been a four
- 1:26:56Speaker 1: point games. But James Harden is not having his usual
- 1:27:00Speaker 1: shooting percentage and shooting abilities right now and until he
- 1:27:05Speaker 1: becomes a playoff basketball player, y'all gonna be in trouble
- 1:27:09Speaker 1: because Chris Paul is everything he was ever written to
- 1:27:12Speaker 1: be and James hardenhead playoff basketball player. Are you saying, dog,
- 1:27:18Speaker 1: he's folded every year in the playoffs. He's not showed
- 1:27:21Speaker 1: up every year in the play So the last series
- 1:27:25Speaker 1: he played. He didn't show up the playoffs. Talk when
- 1:27:28Speaker 1: it started counting first round ain't nothing. Yeah, we expected
- 1:27:35Speaker 1: to go through the first round. I think the Beard
- 1:27:36Speaker 1: is holding him back. I think John James Harden is
- 1:27:42Speaker 1: an MVP callible player. But he's gonna have to bring
- 1:27:46Speaker 1: that MVP callible player to the playoffs or else Houston
- 1:27:51Speaker 1: is going home. Yeah, and Chris Paul kept him in
- 1:27:56Speaker 1: that man, he did. But I tell you what, I'm
- 1:27:58Speaker 1: not gonna be able to play the Rose and Golden State.
- 1:28:01Speaker 1: I'm sticking today where I'm supposed to land that well,
- 1:28:07Speaker 1: I'm supposed to land that I shoot, I come down.
- 1:28:09Speaker 1: You under me. They don't call no fact. You know what, Steve,
- 1:28:11Speaker 1: you changed though. I change caused Lebron change when he
- 1:28:17Speaker 1: went from Cleveland, LA. I changed this ain't got nothing
- 1:28:21Speaker 1: to do with Lebron basketball critic. We have to go.
- 1:28:26Speaker 1: We will be back with more of the Steve Harvey
- 1:28:28Speaker 1: Morning Show right after that. Don't pick it up. We
- 1:28:31Speaker 1: won't be back with Houston. You're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:28:36Speaker 1: In today's entertainment news, Let's start off with the weekend
- 1:28:39Speaker 1: box office report. Jay Avengers Endgame has rewritten the box
- 1:28:46Speaker 1: office record books. I mean yeah, it was expected dollars
- 1:28:50Speaker 1: one billion dollars. Serious, Yes, it was expected to score
- 1:28:55Speaker 1: the highest grossing opening with three hundred and fifty million
- 1:28:59Speaker 1: domestic debut you and one point two billion with a
- 1:29:03Speaker 1: b global premiere. My money in that. Wow, Steve. At
- 1:29:09Speaker 1: the Archlight Theater, they had it planned in every little
- 1:29:14Speaker 1: auditorium except one six in the morning, three o'clock in
- 1:29:19Speaker 1: the morning. Are you serious? Yeah? And it was no, no, no,
- 1:29:22Speaker 1: no no. In Houston, yeah, they were at four thirty
- 1:29:25Speaker 1: in the morning. There was movies. You could go see
- 1:29:28Speaker 1: the movie at four thirty in the more thirty in
- 1:29:29Speaker 1: the morning. What about the people in Hollywood that camped
- 1:29:33Speaker 1: out at the Man's Chinese Theater and for three whole days,
- 1:29:38Speaker 1: and they watched the Avengers series, the entire Avenger series,
- 1:29:42Speaker 1: three whole days. It's the big Steve, It's huge. Here
- 1:29:47Speaker 1: was crazy. What you want to hear? What the craziest
- 1:29:51Speaker 1: part of this story? You don't tell me. I don't
- 1:29:54Speaker 1: even he don't know. I ain't never seen no Avenger
- 1:29:56Speaker 1: and I don't know what the hell y'all talking about.
- 1:29:59Speaker 1: Didn't you seen? You know? I know my wom guy Ruben. Yeah,
- 1:30:07Speaker 1: he wore an Avenger suit and the Avenger hat, and
- 1:30:13Speaker 1: then to the talk show and then the Saturday Friday
- 1:30:18Speaker 1: he had. On Thursday he had on the Avenger suit
- 1:30:21Speaker 1: and hat. Friday had on Spider Man suit. Oh yeah,
- 1:30:26Speaker 1: it'll it'll do that grown men and women. Steve walking
- 1:30:30Speaker 1: around in those cars, that ever loving man. Yeah over
- 1:30:33Speaker 1: this movie. That's how that's how serious it is. I'm
- 1:30:36Speaker 1: telling you people camped out for three days in the
- 1:30:38Speaker 1: movie theater. Now you want to hear something really big.
- 1:30:42Speaker 1: Check this out. In Hollywood who read the comic books
- 1:30:45Speaker 1: are sometimes mad at the people who make the movies
- 1:30:48Speaker 1: because they said they're not sticking to the story in
- 1:30:51Speaker 1: the comic book. So you got that war barn right. Yeah. Oh,
- 1:30:54Speaker 1: it's a serious business, you know. Joke man. Yeah. Well,
- 1:31:00Speaker 1: Marvel also has a Weekend number two movie in an
- 1:31:03Speaker 1: incredibly distant second Captain Marvel, who also appears in endgame
- 1:31:08Speaker 1: jump from fourth to second with eight point one million dollars.
- 1:31:13Speaker 1: Yeah I know, but it went yeah yeah uh And
- 1:31:23Speaker 1: moving on. In other news, Kim Fox, Chicago's top prosecutor,
- 1:31:27Speaker 1: has been subpoena to appear at a court hearing regarding
- 1:31:31Speaker 1: her handling of the Jesse small out attack. The state's
- 1:31:34Speaker 1: attorney was hit with the subpoena by a retired Appellet judge,
- 1:31:38Speaker 1: Sheila O'Brien, who was seeking the appointment of a special
- 1:31:41Speaker 1: prosecutor to look into how Kim dealt with the super
- 1:31:45Speaker 1: controversial case. According to a report from the Chicago Sun Time,
- 1:31:49Speaker 1: the retired judge reportedly requested Jesse and Fox produced all
- 1:31:53Speaker 1: original documents in the case to prove that they have
- 1:31:57Speaker 1: not been altered or destroyed. This is not over. No,
- 1:32:03Speaker 1: it's a damn shade that they got this much attention
- 1:32:07Speaker 1: pour to the actions of prosecutors in the Jesse Smellet case.
- 1:32:12Speaker 1: Quinn at best. At best he's charged with lying. All right,
- 1:32:18Speaker 1: coming up next to our last break of the day,
- 1:32:21Speaker 1: and Steve will have some closing remarks. All that's coming
- 1:32:24Speaker 1: up at forty nine after the hour, right after this
- 1:32:27Speaker 1: you're listening to all right, Steve, here we are last
- 1:32:33Speaker 1: break of the day. Time for you to get us
- 1:32:35Speaker 1: some closing remarks like you always do. Let's go, hey, uh,
- 1:32:40Speaker 1: you know something that I've been learning. I've been uh,
- 1:32:42Speaker 1: I do this morning meditation every morning now and I've
- 1:32:46Speaker 1: really been kind of loyal to it, you know, for
- 1:32:49Speaker 1: the past month, and it's really really helped me out. Um.
- 1:32:55Speaker 1: Somebody sent this to me today. I was talking to
- 1:32:58Speaker 1: a businessman this morning morning about a business opportunity I
- 1:33:04Speaker 1: was looking at, and I was just going over He's
- 1:33:06Speaker 1: a spiritual guy, and I was going over with him
- 1:33:09Speaker 1: my dreams and aspirations and he sort of asked me
- 1:33:14Speaker 1: what I was thinking about. When I told him, come
- 1:33:17Speaker 1: to find out man, he was on the same page,
- 1:33:21Speaker 1: and he sent me a scripture and he taught He said,
- 1:33:24Speaker 1: I want you to read every morning, because I told
- 1:33:28Speaker 1: him I had this morning this morning meditation, and I
- 1:33:31Speaker 1: told him that I read it every morning. I have
- 1:33:33Speaker 1: a list of things that first of all, I read
- 1:33:37Speaker 1: a list of things that I thank God for every morning,
- 1:33:40Speaker 1: which is a list about between forty five and fifty
- 1:33:42Speaker 1: things that I thank him for something like that. And
- 1:33:46Speaker 1: then I have a list of about the same number
- 1:33:49Speaker 1: of things that I'm asking him for. And I read
- 1:33:52Speaker 1: these two lists every single morning. After I do my
- 1:33:55Speaker 1: meditation and read my daily verses and inspirational messages and stuff.
- 1:34:02Speaker 1: I just try to stay focused in the world I'm in,
- 1:34:05Speaker 1: as well as the world you in. You know, I
- 1:34:07Speaker 1: need as much help as I can get. I don't
- 1:34:09Speaker 1: know how you all feel about it, but I need
- 1:34:12Speaker 1: all the I need all the inspiration, I need all
- 1:34:16Speaker 1: the confidence, I need the assuredness that having a relationship
- 1:34:22Speaker 1: with God provides. Man, I'm just gonna be real with you.
- 1:34:25Speaker 1: And so he told me to read this verse every
- 1:34:28Speaker 1: morning Psalms five and three. You know, if you get
- 1:34:31Speaker 1: a chance to read it, you know, and it talks
- 1:34:37Speaker 1: about talking to God and what in essence, I'm a
- 1:34:41Speaker 1: paraphrase to Scripture. In essence, it was what you're asking
- 1:34:44Speaker 1: God to do is to hear you when you cry
- 1:34:48Speaker 1: out for help every day as you pray, and you're
- 1:34:53Speaker 1: asking God in essence to hear your voice in the
- 1:34:56Speaker 1: morning that I pray to you. And then the things
- 1:34:59Speaker 1: that you ask God for in the morning, you let
- 1:35:02Speaker 1: him know that you be waiting expectantly to hear from
- 1:35:07Speaker 1: Him about all these things. And it's just a great
- 1:35:10Speaker 1: way to start your day. But the part that really
- 1:35:13Speaker 1: caught my attention was after I thank God for all
- 1:35:17Speaker 1: this stuff on this list, and then I ask God
- 1:35:20Speaker 1: for this stuff, the part that I think I was
- 1:35:22Speaker 1: missing was each and every day I do I believe
- 1:35:25Speaker 1: it's gonna happen, but every day I'm supposed to wait
- 1:35:28Speaker 1: expectedly in anticipation of what I've asked for to happen. Now,
- 1:35:35Speaker 1: it doesn't mean everything's going to happen that day, but
- 1:35:39Speaker 1: it does mean that the process of all these things
- 1:35:41Speaker 1: occurring is well underway. And if you behave that way,
- 1:35:45Speaker 1: if you act that way, if you put out that way,
- 1:35:48Speaker 1: those are the things that return to you. And that's
- 1:35:51Speaker 1: one of the very very important things that I got
- 1:35:54Speaker 1: from this guy when he sent me the scripture. You
- 1:35:56Speaker 1: could read it for yourself is Psalms five and three,
- 1:35:59Speaker 1: and it's very very helpful. And I use the New
- 1:36:03Speaker 1: Living version of it so I can understand it better
- 1:36:06Speaker 1: than the King's James version because I read both, and
- 1:36:09Speaker 1: I just understand it better when I go to the
- 1:36:11Speaker 1: New translation of it. And I just try to encourage
- 1:36:15Speaker 1: people man to form a relationship with God, because like
- 1:36:17Speaker 1: it's really cool and you know, something we all should do.
- 1:36:22Speaker 1: We were all created in His image. God made every
- 1:36:25Speaker 1: last one of us, and you know, we all children
- 1:36:28Speaker 1: in His no matter what color, no matter what faith
- 1:36:30Speaker 1: you belong to. And in that regard, I mean, you know,
- 1:36:33Speaker 1: he just wants to hear from us. He really does.
- 1:36:35Speaker 1: He just wants to know that we want to share
- 1:36:39Speaker 1: relationship with him. And so I found the more you
- 1:36:42Speaker 1: do that, man, the more confidence you have, the more
- 1:36:46Speaker 1: calmness can come your way, and you stop worrying about stuff.
- 1:36:49Speaker 1: Because a lot of times, man, if you look off
- 1:36:52Speaker 1: into your day, as your day unfolds in front of you,
- 1:36:56Speaker 1: you're going to see a lot of choice points along
- 1:36:59Speaker 1: the way. You're gonna have a lot of points along
- 1:37:02Speaker 1: the way where you have to make choices. You know,
- 1:37:05Speaker 1: and all these possibilities, all these choices, they can be
- 1:37:09Speaker 1: confusing at times, and in this confusion, you need to
- 1:37:16Speaker 1: get focused back and turn all this confusion and all
- 1:37:19Speaker 1: these worries and troubles and turn them over to him,
- 1:37:22Speaker 1: because really, man, life gets really troublesome at times for
- 1:37:27Speaker 1: all of us. And it's just times, man, where you
- 1:37:29Speaker 1: can't cope with everything that's happening to you because at
- 1:37:32Speaker 1: all the way seems like either nothing's happening at all
- 1:37:35Speaker 1: or everything's happening at once, and both of them situations
- 1:37:39Speaker 1: is bad. I mean, if you're sitting up there and
- 1:37:41Speaker 1: ain't nothing happening at all, you need some help man.
- 1:37:44Speaker 1: And then when everything happens all at once, you need
- 1:37:49Speaker 1: some help man. So either way you look at this thing,
- 1:37:52Speaker 1: you're gonna need some help from God. You really really are.
- 1:37:55Speaker 1: And so the best way to do it, man's just
- 1:37:57Speaker 1: have a constant communication with him. Just talk to it
- 1:38:00Speaker 1: more today than the cool thing about it is you
- 1:38:02Speaker 1: could be just like me and have a relationship with it.
- 1:38:05Speaker 1: You don't have to be perfect, you really don't. And
- 1:38:09Speaker 1: I got news for you. Ain't nobody perfect. No way.
- 1:38:12Speaker 1: You can quit listening to them people talking about how
- 1:38:15Speaker 1: they're walking on that little white line and they don't
- 1:38:17Speaker 1: ever get off, because they do. They get off all
- 1:38:20Speaker 1: the time. Just have relationship with God. Okay, do that.
- 1:38:24Speaker 1: He'll help you out. Those are my clothes remarks. All right,
- 1:38:27Speaker 1: all right, drop it. That's dropped your life. That's hard.
- 1:38:32Speaker 1: You're just gonna have a talk with guy. Hey man,
- 1:38:37Speaker 1: guess what y'all? What's that up? Have a great book,
- 1:38:40Speaker 1: kid man. I am be positive. That's my blood for
