- 0:00Speaker 1: Today's show is pre recorded. Y'all know what time y'all
- 0:05Speaker 1: don't know, y'all back a suit, looking back to back down,
- 0:13Speaker 1: giving them like the mosing bu bu things. And it's
- 0:19Speaker 1: not good ste to mother Star, don't join Jo. You
- 0:59Speaker 1: gotta use that turn. You gotta turn to turn them out. Turn,
- 1:43Speaker 1: got to turn them out. Then turn the water the water. Come,
- 1:58Speaker 1: come on your thing, I sure will A good morning everybody.
- 2:05Speaker 1: You are listening to the VARs, come on dig me now,
- 2:08Speaker 1: one and only. Steve Harvey got a radio show. Man
- 2:12Speaker 1: o man o man? How good is God to me?
- 2:16Speaker 1: And part of the mission and the reason that I
- 2:18Speaker 1: have a radio show is to become a share of
- 2:23Speaker 1: more and more of a share of you know. I
- 2:26Speaker 1: used to hear my mother say it to me all
- 2:28Speaker 1: the time. But God blesses you to become a blessing.
- 2:31Speaker 1: And I think the more you understand that about yourself,
- 2:34Speaker 1: I think the more blessings will flow your way. I
- 2:37Speaker 1: think that once you understand the principle that you know.
- 2:42Speaker 1: But it's kind of tied together with some other scriptures,
- 2:44Speaker 1: and I'm not too knowledgeable about them, of course, as usual,
- 2:48Speaker 1: but I do know what I've heard you know, and
- 2:52Speaker 1: you know if you look at something simple as do
- 2:54Speaker 1: unto others as you would have them do unto you,
- 2:58Speaker 1: wouldn't you want somebody to help you if you needed help.
- 3:02Speaker 1: I just know how to get it down there to
- 3:04Speaker 1: where I've been able to understand it. If there's a
- 3:08Speaker 1: scripture similar that it says do unto others as you
- 3:12Speaker 1: would have them do unto you, or if that's you know,
- 3:17Speaker 1: in a prayer, would not you want somebody to help
- 3:21Speaker 1: you if you needed help? You've heard you reap what
- 3:27Speaker 1: you sow? Do you understand that if you so discord,
- 3:33Speaker 1: that discord is gonna come your way. That if you hate,
- 3:37Speaker 1: hate gonna come your way. If you blog nothing but
- 3:41Speaker 1: negative comments about people, your life will be filled with negativity.
- 3:46Speaker 1: If all you do is talk about people, then guess
- 3:49Speaker 1: what somebody got to turn that gun around and talk
- 3:51Speaker 1: about you. See, it just stands to reasons. So what
- 3:57Speaker 1: I've learned in my life and through all the trials
- 4:00Speaker 1: and tribulations that I've had, is to take those lessons
- 4:05Speaker 1: and share them with people in case you ain't heard
- 4:08Speaker 1: it from somebody else. See sometimes and the reason it
- 4:12Speaker 1: seems like I'm redundant at times. Is what I am
- 4:16Speaker 1: is because I'm always trying to find a different way
- 4:19Speaker 1: to say the same thing, because it's a funny thing. Man,
- 4:22Speaker 1: you got to hear it a certain way for it
- 4:24Speaker 1: to click with you. How many times have I heard
- 4:30Speaker 1: a saying and then I heard it a different way
- 4:35Speaker 1: that it clicked with me? You know, I've heard of
- 4:39Speaker 1: this saying right here, remember this now, everybody's not happy
- 4:43Speaker 1: for you. We've all heard that, right, everybody's not happy
- 4:47Speaker 1: for you. Well, that's very simple that I don't need
- 4:51Speaker 1: no explanation. That simply means of all the people you
- 4:55Speaker 1: know or do not know. When something happens to you
- 4:58Speaker 1: and you celebrate rating it, everybody's not going to join
- 5:02Speaker 1: in on the celebration. That's all that is. But then
- 5:06Speaker 1: you take it one step further. My father used to
- 5:08Speaker 1: say something to me all the time. He says, son,
- 5:10Speaker 1: everybody come with you can't go with you. I didn't
- 5:13Speaker 1: get that when I was fifteen. Everybody come with you
- 5:16Speaker 1: can't go with you. He said, you're gonna lose some
- 5:18Speaker 1: of these friends you got along the way. But I
- 5:21Speaker 1: don't care where you get in life. No, this right here,
- 5:25Speaker 1: everybody can't go with you if you are constantly trying
- 5:28Speaker 1: to improve yourself, you constantly have to take assessment of
- 5:32Speaker 1: the people around you. Because if you are going to
- 5:35Speaker 1: continue to go and continue to grow, then guess what
- 5:39Speaker 1: you got to have people that's on the goal and
- 5:41Speaker 1: willing to grow, or else, guess what you're gonna learn
- 5:47Speaker 1: the valuable lesson. You know, the late boxing promoter Butch Lewis.
- 5:52Speaker 1: I was talking with Butch Lewis one time, and man
- 5:55Speaker 1: with a good brother man, he say, every successful man
- 5:59Speaker 1: is what I call He got rope work to do.
- 6:02Speaker 1: He got rope work to do. He got to put
- 6:05Speaker 1: in work on rope. And I'm sitting there listening to
- 6:09Speaker 1: Butch Lewis and all the money he had made and
- 6:12Speaker 1: all the people's lives he had changed, and all of
- 6:14Speaker 1: the moves he was made, and his incredible skills as
- 6:17Speaker 1: a negotiator on behalf of some very very wealthy people.
- 6:20Speaker 1: He was just an amazing man with no education. But
- 6:24Speaker 1: he read everything. He butch Lewis read all that, all
- 6:27Speaker 1: the papers, all the periodicals. That brother knew everything. He said,
- 6:32Speaker 1: you got to put in rope. And I was sitting
- 6:34Speaker 1: there listening. He said, here is the analogy, little brother.
- 6:37Speaker 1: He said, you are on rope. There's a thick rope.
- 6:41Speaker 1: You have on no shirt, you have on some tattered clothes.
- 6:46Speaker 1: You have on no shoes. Your shorts is cut off
- 6:49Speaker 1: just below the knee, and they tattered, and you got
- 6:52Speaker 1: dirt on you and you're sweating. There's this huge, huge
- 6:56Speaker 1: raw rope over your shoulder. That's burn marks on all
- 7:00Speaker 1: of your shoulder. Connected to that rope is a wagon.
- 7:04Speaker 1: That wagon has all your weight on it, all your responsibilities,
- 7:09Speaker 1: all the people you're responsible for, all your children, your wife,
- 7:14Speaker 1: your family members, your employees, your coworkers, your friends. They
- 7:19Speaker 1: are all on that wagon. Man, they're just sitting there.
- 7:23Speaker 1: He's saying, what you gotta do is you gotta pull
- 7:25Speaker 1: that wagon up the heel. Now. The only thing with
- 7:28Speaker 1: it is, can't nobody help you pull your wagon? You
- 7:31Speaker 1: pull your wagon alone. He saying, Now, what you can
- 7:35Speaker 1: do along the way of pulling your wagon, as you
- 7:38Speaker 1: can find yourself a good wife, a good woman. He's
- 7:41Speaker 1: saying that what that woman does is she get down
- 7:44Speaker 1: off the wagon. She fan you while you pull it.
- 7:47Speaker 1: She put water on you while you pull it. She
- 7:49Speaker 1: puts stuff in your mouth while you pull it. She
- 7:52Speaker 1: kicked rocks out the way while you pull it. But
- 7:54Speaker 1: she but she pull it for you. But she is
- 7:57Speaker 1: equally as important as you are on the poor love
- 8:00Speaker 1: the rope, he said, you hear me clearly now, young soldier,
- 8:03Speaker 1: He said, NA get this hell, he says, people on
- 8:06Speaker 1: your wagon that you're responsible for. But you want the
- 8:09Speaker 1: people on your wagon to help you get your wagon
- 8:12Speaker 1: to the top. So what you hope is that they
- 8:15Speaker 1: got their foot hanging over the side pushing. They got
- 8:19Speaker 1: one leg over the back, or maybe both legs over
- 8:22Speaker 1: the back pushing. They got they might have their butt
- 8:24Speaker 1: on the wagon, but they push you with both legs.
- 8:27Speaker 1: They're back facing your back, maybe some of them facing
- 8:30Speaker 1: you when one of them got left leg hanging over
- 8:32Speaker 1: trying to push. And you hope that all the people
- 8:35Speaker 1: on the wagon you pulling its back there at least
- 8:38Speaker 1: trying to help the wagon get to the top of
- 8:40Speaker 1: the hill. Here goes your problem. Though everybody ain't pushing,
- 8:44Speaker 1: everybody ain't pulling, ain't bar everybody ain't pulling, Everybody ain't
- 8:48Speaker 1: kicking rocks out the way. You got some people on
- 8:50Speaker 1: your wagon that's just laying on the wagon drinking lemonade,
- 8:55Speaker 1: looking at you, talking about how long it's taking you
- 8:58Speaker 1: to get your wagon up to the top, looking at
- 9:00Speaker 1: you telling my whitest wagon, so slow. Then when you
- 9:03Speaker 1: start picking up picking up speed, they want you to
- 9:06Speaker 1: pull harder, you to pull faster, you to pull mole.
- 9:10Speaker 1: Then they want you to throw what you then earned
- 9:12Speaker 1: on the weight up the hill, backed on the wagon
- 9:14Speaker 1: so they can have mo. But guess what, they ain't
- 9:17Speaker 1: helping you get more, but they got a sense of
- 9:19Speaker 1: entitlement that since you got mold, they should have more.
- 9:23Speaker 1: Everybody come with you can't go with you. Sometimes you
- 9:27Speaker 1: gotta kick the people off the wagon that ain't pushing
- 9:29Speaker 1: and pull it and say, hey man, I'm sorry. I
- 9:32Speaker 1: thought I could do this with you, and I thought
- 9:34Speaker 1: you was going with me. But it's clear to me
- 9:37Speaker 1: you ain't nothing but dead weight. And it ain't my
- 9:39Speaker 1: responsibility to carry dead weight anymore. I have carried you
- 9:43Speaker 1: as long as I have to carry you. You are
- 9:45Speaker 1: no longer my responsibility. I'm responsible for my family, my wife,
- 9:49Speaker 1: my children. I'm not responsible for you. You got to
- 9:52Speaker 1: get off my wagon because I'm a man on rope.
- 9:55Speaker 1: I'm on a mission. Baby, I'm pulling. You're listening ladies
- 10:02Speaker 1: and gentlemen, it's about to go down. What you're talking about, Steve,
- 10:08Speaker 1: What I'm talking about every morning, the start of something grand,
- 10:12Speaker 1: the start of something new, the start of something spectacular.
- 10:17Speaker 1: You know what I'm talking about, because it's about to
- 10:20Speaker 1: happen to you, ladies and gentlemen. It is on and cracking.
- 10:23Speaker 1: Here we are the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Give it
- 10:28Speaker 1: to me, damn it, give it to me. I don't

- 10:57Speaker 1: it is what I'm talking m I can't stop him.
- 10:59Speaker 1: I'm much. They won't shut up, shut up the back
- 11:13Speaker 1: then they won't. That's the only thing. The only thing
- 11:20Speaker 1: I miss about stand up is walking out and walking off? Wow,
- 11:28Speaker 1: what does that feel like? Make you feel? It's like
- 11:32Speaker 1: it's the most incredible thing because as a stand up
- 11:36Speaker 1: what can never replace stand up? It is simply the
- 11:41Speaker 1: purest form of adelation that you can get from a crowd,
- 11:46Speaker 1: because it's only a base on your ability to provide
- 11:51Speaker 1: enjoyment for them. You're not you're not pulling that their
- 11:53Speaker 1: hard strings. You're not you're not taking them back down
- 11:56Speaker 1: memory lane with their favorite song. You're not doing sing
- 11:59Speaker 1: alone ain't no such thing as a joke alone. Come on,
- 12:02Speaker 1: come on, do this one with me, y'all. Two to
- 12:05Speaker 1: three people walking the bar, come on, you know everybody.
- 12:08Speaker 1: Come on, black man, white man, Chinese man, come on, y'all.
- 12:11Speaker 1: Y'all know this is a joke alone. It's none of that.
- 12:14Speaker 1: It is the purest form of adelation that you can
- 12:18Speaker 1: get from a crowd. And when you kill it, and
- 12:21Speaker 1: I mean a ninety minute set, just you, and you
- 12:27Speaker 1: stand there for ninety minutes and you deliver gut wrenching
- 12:32Speaker 1: laughter and you walk off, Oh my god, Oh my god.
- 12:38Speaker 1: It is unbelievable. It is unbelievable, man. And when you
- 12:43Speaker 1: do it well, and then to top all of that off,
- 12:47Speaker 1: God has given you the incredible gift that you can
- 12:50Speaker 1: earn a living at it. Oh man, oh man, oh man. Wow.
- 12:59Speaker 1: The applause. So let me just say quickly, good morning
- 13:03Speaker 1: to everybody on the show. Thank you for right now,

- 14:07Speaker 1: over Hammond olkid foot pedals in all Lord Hamlets. Lord
- 14:13Speaker 1: Junie Harden used to be the baddest aging player I've
- 14:16Speaker 1: ever seen. Junie Harden really Cleveland Judge Christ James Harden junior.

- 15:49Speaker 1: that came out of stupidity, I didn't come out of stupidity.
- 15:54Speaker 1: I'm just asking you. Everybody knows his information except for you.
- 15:57Speaker 1: Why do you not know that this took place? I
- 16:00Speaker 1: don't play no damn golf. I don't have to questions.

- 16:29Speaker 1: you're not a dunk call Now, I don't know about golf.
- 16:33Speaker 1: That's why I didn't know about time what the problem is. Okay,
- 16:38Speaker 1: but there's a lot of things I don't know. But
- 16:40Speaker 1: there's a whole lot you don't know. You didn't You
- 16:43Speaker 1: didn't have to humiliate me. You don't have to humiliate
- 16:46Speaker 1: you if you stay in your place. I was talking
- 16:50Speaker 1: with Sherley Neil. Yeah, sister, I just wanted to I
- 16:53Speaker 1: thought you knew. I apologize for that. I just wondered,
- 16:56Speaker 1: if you and I didn't know the man had accident,
- 16:59Speaker 1: why would I know. I will pray for him, but
- 17:02Speaker 1: where is it now? He's still in the hospital. He's recovering.
- 17:06Speaker 1: Yet you know he's doing well. He doing well. Well,
- 17:12Speaker 1: he's recovering. Yeah, he's recovering. He had some serious leg

- 17:30Speaker 1: Earl's daddy, Gerald. I don't know Gerald Wood the wait wait, wait,
- 17:41Speaker 1: Tiger's great grandfather is Earl? I mean Tiger's grandfather. It's Gerald.
- 17:47Speaker 1: What is you talking about? Great grand she there you go, now,
- 17:50Speaker 1: who don't know that tiger father as father would be
- 17:54Speaker 1: his grandfather. Who don't know that? It's like I didn't
- 17:57Speaker 1: know time you know him? You didn't know that information
- 18:00Speaker 1: right there, But I just said I didn't. Well, we
- 18:03Speaker 1: know who didn't know one for show? Don't you best read?
- 18:07Speaker 1: I know we know you didn't know it. You ain't
- 18:10Speaker 1: know who it was. I know it name Jia any
- 18:13Speaker 1: on the record, anybody ever talked about it? Now because
- 18:16Speaker 1: you haven't know it? Well, well, Jaronny was trying to
- 18:26Speaker 1: go hate. Really, I was gonna ask you about doctor SEUs.
- 18:32Speaker 1: You're familiar with Doctor SEUs, the author of children's books. Yeah, well,
- 18:38Speaker 1: some of his books had to come off the shelves
- 18:40Speaker 1: so they wouldn't be sold because they were kind of
- 18:42Speaker 1: racially offensive. Um, you know they depicted African Americans and
- 18:48Speaker 1: Asians and unfavorable lights. So I've never seen that. I
- 18:52Speaker 1: didn't know that. I'm sorry to hear that. I just
- 18:54Speaker 1: know that I didn't read the book called they had
- 18:56Speaker 1: green eggs and ham, and you know black people don't
- 18:58Speaker 1: food eggs. Won't they turn what? Yeah, we won't be
- 19:05Speaker 1: eating any green age. You ever seen scramblededgs in the
- 19:07Speaker 1: chafing dish too long. Yes, that's where we get off
- 19:15Speaker 1: the line. You need a refreshed as red eggs and
- 19:23Speaker 1: hamm is a white folks. I did that right now.
- 19:29Speaker 1: You're keeping in one hundreds of you just all of
- 19:34Speaker 1: it off the shelf if you want to, Well, did
- 19:39Speaker 1: you why they just now discovering this? Ain't doctor SU's
- 19:42Speaker 1: been out for how many ears long, since we're all
- 19:45Speaker 1: were kids and before I suppose, Um, but yeah, um,
- 19:51Speaker 1: you know some people look deeply into it, I guess,
- 19:54Speaker 1: and that's what they found. Uh. There's there's a there's
- 19:59Speaker 1: a book in there are called If I Ran the Zoo,
- 20:02Speaker 1: If I Ran a Zoo. It has images of African
- 20:04Speaker 1: American men wearing what appeared to be grass skirts and
- 20:08Speaker 1: you know, with their hair tied above their head and
- 20:11Speaker 1: no shirts on and no shoes. So they were like,
- 20:13Speaker 1: that's this is offensive. Let's not sell this, take this home,
- 20:16Speaker 1: get him on off the shelf. He ain't. Don't need
- 20:18Speaker 1: to teach and guess that nonsense. Yes, damn yes, man.
- 20:22Speaker 1: Last time my head on the grass skirt, it was
- 20:24Speaker 1: for a man I had met in Hawaii. We was
- 20:27Speaker 1: at a luau and we had just finished off a pig,
- 20:30Speaker 1: and I'll put that skirt on a turning mouth apple
- 20:33Speaker 1: in his mouth. We ain't a whole pig, just me
- 20:36Speaker 1: and him was a little baby pig. We just sat
- 20:37Speaker 1: there and just got to tan meat off. The next
- 20:39Speaker 1: thing you know, we were finished, well was full. I
- 20:43Speaker 1: got this grass skirt on, might well see what's going on?
- 20:46Speaker 1: And we get a little private luan. Who jesu he
- 20:49Speaker 1: broke back in five stitch and all hell broke Loue,
- 20:53Speaker 1: thank you, sistero Dell. We gotta go run that prank
- 20:56Speaker 1: back it up next right after this you're listening, coming
- 21:02Speaker 1: up at the top of the hour. In trending news,
- 21:05Speaker 1: six Doctor Seuss books will no longer be published due
- 21:09Speaker 1: to offensive imagery. Plus an entertainment news Dolly Parton gets
- 21:13Speaker 1: a doseph her own medicine literally, and in national news,
- 21:17Speaker 1: it has been two weeks two weeks since the winter storm,
- 21:21Speaker 1: and some residents in Jackson, Mississippi are still without water.
- 21:25Speaker 1: We'll talk about all of these stories at the top
- 21:27Speaker 1: of the hour, but right now, the nephew is here,
- 21:30Speaker 1: would run that prank back? What's you got for us? Next?
- 21:33Speaker 1: Law and order, sirly, okay, law and order let's go. Yeah,
- 21:38Speaker 1: Law and Order. Good morning, Law and Associates office. Hey,
- 21:43Speaker 1: how you doing? Um? I'm trying to speak to the lawyer,
- 21:46Speaker 1: mister Ben. He's not a star, but I can help you. Um.
- 21:50Speaker 1: So I can get all the information, um, and also
- 21:53Speaker 1: get your actual complain at hand, and then I can
- 21:55Speaker 1: get your scheduled. Okay, what's your nice My name is Joel.
- 21:58Speaker 1: What's your name, Joe? Well, my name is Dwight Dwight Turner.
- 22:02Speaker 1: I'm trying to file a file a lawsuit on somebody.
- 22:07Speaker 1: I ain't never done this before, but I'm trying to
- 22:09Speaker 1: file a lawsuit on somebody, and I don't know. You know,
- 22:11Speaker 1: everybody tell me Vin a good attorney or whatever. So
- 22:15Speaker 1: I wanted to talk can talk to him and see
- 22:17Speaker 1: how I was supposed to go about this right here? Okay, Well,
- 22:20Speaker 1: can I get all your information and then I can
- 22:22Speaker 1: get your schedule. He's not in the office right now, okay,
- 22:25Speaker 1: but is he coming back to day though? Am I
- 22:28Speaker 1: gonna be in the talk to him today? I'm not sure.
- 22:30Speaker 1: He's in court all day and I'm pretty much his
- 22:34Speaker 1: three things. So when am I gonna get to talk
- 22:37Speaker 1: to him? Then he's pretty good on getting back to you.
- 22:39Speaker 1: He would get back to you probably tomorrow, but it's
- 22:42Speaker 1: actually better to schedule as the only way you can
- 22:45Speaker 1: meet with him, and you will actually meet with him
- 22:47Speaker 1: face to face. The conversation is free. You can sit
- 22:49Speaker 1: down with him and have that one on one and
- 22:51Speaker 1: explain everything that's going on. So what you what you need?
- 22:53Speaker 1: What you need from me? Because I want to come
- 22:55Speaker 1: to see you in tomorrow if I can get on
- 22:56Speaker 1: his schedule tomorrow. I need your full name, the day
- 22:59Speaker 1: to birth? My name is okay, my birth, my day
- 23:03Speaker 1: to birth? Okay, hold on, let me say, let's get that.
- 23:07Speaker 1: Can you just take down what's going on with the
- 23:09Speaker 1: whole situation as can we get well, I'll give you
- 23:12Speaker 1: out that all that other stuff later. I want you
- 23:14Speaker 1: to write down what's going on first, because that's what's
- 23:16Speaker 1: bothered me. I didn't get this all my chicks and
- 23:18Speaker 1: what is the actual print? What is what's going on?
- 23:21Speaker 1: I want to file a lawsuit on my girlfriend's HUDs.
- 23:26Speaker 1: Excuse me, I want to file a lawsuit on my
- 23:29Speaker 1: girlfriend's husband. Are they still together? They're still married? Yeah,
- 23:33Speaker 1: I'm trying the thing. They know they're still married, day
- 23:37Speaker 1: together and everything you know that's gonna bother me right there.
- 23:40Speaker 1: But I want to file a lawsuit on him though.
- 23:42Speaker 1: So you're her boyfriend, she's still married, they lived together,
- 23:46Speaker 1: they're still they're not legally separated, not like no, they
- 23:48Speaker 1: little together, they got kids all that. You know. I
- 23:50Speaker 1: ain't tripping on that part right there, But I'm chilling.
- 23:52Speaker 1: You're her boyfriend, yeah, okay, And you want to sue
- 23:56Speaker 1: her husband for what we're messing up our relationship, for
- 23:59Speaker 1: getting in the middle of me and hug got going on.
- 24:01Speaker 1: I'm sorry, that's not a crime. That's not ground for
- 24:05Speaker 1: a lawsuit. Hello, he messed up everything we got going on.
- 24:10Speaker 1: You know. Now he's taking the phone from us, taking
- 24:13Speaker 1: my name out of it, you know, he ahsk And
- 24:15Speaker 1: when I fell a text messure, he answering the text menshion,
- 24:18Speaker 1: I'm sorry to hear that. I'm sorry that you. I'm
- 24:20Speaker 1: sorry that it's all going on. But that's not suited
- 24:23Speaker 1: for our type of law. We don't handle any cases
- 24:27Speaker 1: like that. Infidelity, which it sounds like what's going on,
- 24:29Speaker 1: that's not ground for a lawsuit. We don't address that
- 24:32Speaker 1: type of thing. Okay, So what you're talking about it
- 24:36Speaker 1: infidelity Look, I know you're speaking with the married you're

- 27:44Speaker 1: This is what I already know about you? Joya already
- 27:46Speaker 1: know about you. How you know me? You don't know
- 27:49Speaker 1: about me. I know you don't know a dam date
- 27:51Speaker 1: about me. I know about Joe rag me people and

- 28:18Speaker 1: This is nephew Tommy from the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 28:21Speaker 1: Your girlfriend got me to drink called you. I think
- 28:25Speaker 1: it fire fire, it's old man a man you yo
- 28:36Speaker 1: he No, I'm not good you like Yeah? I love
- 28:40Speaker 1: you y'all. Hi that you Tommy y'all is the baddest
- 28:48Speaker 1: and I mean the baddest radio show in the land.
- 28:51Speaker 1: Tommy nephew nephew Tommy Steve Harvey in the Morning Show.
- 28:56Speaker 1: I love y'all for the last forty years of my life.
- 28:59Speaker 1: I love y'all, feel leader. Am I a genius? I mean,
- 29:05Speaker 1: I mean you know, you know, y'all never tell me
- 29:07Speaker 1: I'm a genius, But am I really in there? There's
- 29:09Speaker 1: a reason for that, all right. You don't have at
- 29:12Speaker 1: the top of the hour while we have this debate
- 29:16Speaker 1: entertainment and national news right after you're listening to the
- 29:20Speaker 1: String Show. Well, guys, six Doctor Seuss books will no
- 29:26Speaker 1: longer be published due to racist imagery. The books are
- 29:30Speaker 1: and to think that I saw it on Mrberry Street,
- 29:33Speaker 1: if I ran the Zoo, uh MC Elegant's Pool, No
- 29:37Speaker 1: On Beyond Zebra, Scrambled Head, super and the Cat's Quizzer.
- 29:44Speaker 1: According to Doctor Seuss Enterprises, these books portray people in
- 29:48Speaker 1: ways that are hurtful and wrong. Two images in the
- 29:51Speaker 1: in particular, are from the book and to think that
- 29:54Speaker 1: I saw it on Mrberry Street, in which the images
- 29:56Speaker 1: are offensive uh to Asian American. The other imagery is
- 30:02Speaker 1: from the book If I Ran a Zoo with the
- 30:04Speaker 1: images of two African American men where what appears to
- 30:07Speaker 1: be grass skirts and no shirts, no shoes, and their
- 30:11Speaker 1: hair tied up on their head. Doctor Seus's enterprise and
- 30:14Speaker 1: said they listen to feedback from teachers, academic specialists, and
- 30:18Speaker 1: educators and pull the books from being sold. Doctor Seus's stepdaughter, however,
- 30:23Speaker 1: Legray Diamond, doesn't believe her pop's works need to be censored.
- 30:28Speaker 1: So there you go. Well they ain't you know the
- 30:33Speaker 1: amazing part. She don't feel like it needs to be sensible. Okay,
- 30:38Speaker 1: but it ain't got nothing to do with you, right,
- 30:41Speaker 1: it's not a fensive to you. Yeah, you know you
- 30:43Speaker 1: don't have to explain this to your children, right, you know.
- 30:47Speaker 1: It's it's a new day now. Yeah, this book's been
- 30:49Speaker 1: out forever, you know, just like the Me Too movement
- 30:52Speaker 1: came along and it started really shining a light on
- 30:55Speaker 1: a dark part of what's been going on to a
- 30:58Speaker 1: lot of people. Well, Black Lives Matter has to and
- 31:01Speaker 1: whether you want to acknowledge it or not, it's very
- 31:04Speaker 1: part of this thing, and we've got to charge start
- 31:07Speaker 1: changing the way people think and view everything at the
- 31:11Speaker 1: least lowest level all the way up to the top. Now,
- 31:15Speaker 1: we got some work to do with that law because
- 31:17Speaker 1: the Republican senators they not understand it. The people are
- 31:23Speaker 1: more understanding than than the leadership is because they got
- 31:26Speaker 1: to play this bipartisan positioning bullcraft that they do. But no, man,
- 31:31Speaker 1: we just got to attack it at every level. Yeah, yeah,
- 31:34Speaker 1: I just think they do understand. It's not that hard.
- 31:38Speaker 1: It's just they don't want to. It's like they refuse to.
- 31:42Speaker 1: They like things the way they are. They don't want
- 31:45Speaker 1: to change it. To a lot of people, what's the
- 31:49Speaker 1: big deal? Yeah, exactly, Yes, they have no ideal. But
- 31:57Speaker 1: I was watching Molly Quinn on First the other day.
- 32:02Speaker 1: She was talking to Max Kellerman and Perkins and stephen
- 32:09Speaker 1: A Smith for the other two guys on the show,
- 32:11Speaker 1: and she told Max, she said, Max, I don't think
- 32:14Speaker 1: that you and I can understand what Perkins or stephen
- 32:19Speaker 1: A is talking about because we're not black, and no
- 32:23Speaker 1: matter how much we want to, we can't possibly know
- 32:27Speaker 1: how black people feel about these things because we're not black.
- 32:31Speaker 1: It takes a person like that to make that statement
- 32:36Speaker 1: to be able to move the needle. It's no needing
- 32:40Speaker 1: you pretending like you can't. Now you can empathize and
- 32:43Speaker 1: you can feel for us, and you can understand this
- 32:47Speaker 1: and reverse it and imagine if you were in our
- 32:49Speaker 1: shoes and make you want to do something about it.
- 32:51Speaker 1: And that is more than appreciated. But at the end
- 32:55Speaker 1: of the day to a difference. But at the end
- 32:59Speaker 1: of the day, you got to walk in this skin
- 33:03Speaker 1: twenty four seven, yes, with no days off, no opportunity
- 33:08Speaker 1: to lay it down, to understand what it is. And
- 33:11Speaker 1: Black Lives Matter, it just happened. Black Lives Matter came
- 33:15Speaker 1: along and it helped a lot of non African Americans
- 33:18Speaker 1: allowed to participate in this change. And it's just top
- 33:22Speaker 1: because these old ass people up top ain't hear it,
- 33:25Speaker 1: ain't trying to hear it. And the poison they've spared
- 33:27Speaker 1: to their children, they're not trying to hear it. Because
- 33:30Speaker 1: you listen to these young groups out here, man, they're
- 33:33Speaker 1: just as hateful as they stink ass parts. Yes, and
- 33:37Speaker 1: I'm heading what I said. They dressed as hateful as
- 33:40Speaker 1: they stank ass parents. All right. Another entertainment news, seventy
- 33:46Speaker 1: five year old Dolly Parton got her first jose of
- 33:49Speaker 1: the MODERNA vaccine yesterday at the Vanderbilt Medical Center. As
- 33:53Speaker 1: she posted, Dolly gets the dose of her own medicine. Now,
- 33:56Speaker 1: if you recall, Dolly Parton donated one million dollars last
- 34:00Speaker 1: year to Coronavirus Research, which was used to fund Maderna's vaccine.
- 34:04Speaker 1: Why did Dolly wait so long to get the vaccine
- 34:07Speaker 1: even though she had donated the money and everything. You
- 34:09Speaker 1: would think she would be in the front of the line,
- 34:11Speaker 1: but no, Dolly said she wanted to wait her turn
- 34:13Speaker 1: and not just jump in line because she donated the money. Okay,
- 34:18Speaker 1: good at our Kelly, he's a prison so he got
- 34:23Speaker 1: he got all the stuff he can't keep off him
- 34:25Speaker 1: right now. And finally in national news, many residents of Jackson, Mississippi,
- 34:35Speaker 1: have been without water since the winter storm hit the
- 34:38Speaker 1: state about two weeks ago. And this is the same
- 34:41Speaker 1: storm which affects it affected Texas and Louisiana. Now, some
- 34:45Speaker 1: residents in Jackson are suffering and have no water. Public
- 34:50Speaker 1: water works officials said their system basically crashed and residents
- 34:53Speaker 1: are very angry at the state's government for not fixing
- 34:57Speaker 1: the water infrastructure in Jackson in the path to Mississippi
- 35:00Speaker 1: Governor Tate Reeves has deployed the Mississippi National Guard to
- 35:04Speaker 1: help fix the problem. And uh, you know, this is
- 35:09Speaker 1: a mess. This is a real mess right here because
- 35:13Speaker 1: it could have been avoided. It looks like if they
- 35:15Speaker 1: had fixed the water infrastructure in the past, Like the
- 35:19Speaker 1: residents say, what is with these leaders that wait and
- 35:24Speaker 1: react to things when they break and shut down in
- 35:28Speaker 1: these states instead of doing things to prevent it from
- 35:32Speaker 1: politics and having the state and citizens and people suffer
- 35:35Speaker 1: without water and power and electricity. You all need to
- 35:40Speaker 1: remember all of this when you're going to the policy
- 35:42Speaker 1: right exactly. And you know some college they're aware of
- 35:44Speaker 1: everything because they're briefed on everything. Yeah they're politicians. But
- 35:48Speaker 1: if it if it ain't broke, dow don't try to
- 35:50Speaker 1: fix it. Then when something happened, then they come up
- 35:52Speaker 1: with a story to cover it, right, because it didn't
- 35:54Speaker 1: affect them. Yeah, all right, coming up in twenty minutes
- 35:57Speaker 1: after the hour, we'll tell you which city is the
- 35:59Speaker 1: first in the US to fund reparations for blacks. What right?
- 36:04Speaker 1: After this, please see it. You're listening to the Steve
- 36:08Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show. Well, during last night's documentary Soul of
- 36:13Speaker 1: a Nation on ABC, it was revealed that the city
- 36:16Speaker 1: of Evanston, Illinois, Evanston, Illinois, which is right outside Chicago,
- 36:22Speaker 1: that will be the first city that is using tax
- 36:25Speaker 1: revenue ten million dollars in reparations for black people. Now,
- 36:29Speaker 1: this is according would you say you're moving to day Evanston?
- 36:37Speaker 1: According to ABC News, the first phase is twenty five
- 36:40Speaker 1: thousand dollars payments for eligible residents for home ownership assistance
- 36:46Speaker 1: programs from the city's recreational marijuana sales and private donations.
- 36:51Speaker 1: Recreational marijuana sales, okay, in private donations twenty five geese. Hey, well,
- 36:57Speaker 1: I got a partner this living it right up there
- 37:00Speaker 1: in Evansville, and I know him for a fact, and
- 37:03Speaker 1: he is a weed smoker. And I know for a
- 37:05Speaker 1: fact if they give him twenty five thousand dollars, he
- 37:08Speaker 1: not even broke even yet. What do you think about
- 37:15Speaker 1: the repas though? I mean, for those that are fighting
- 37:23Speaker 1: for reparations, I supported. I have zero faith that this
- 37:28Speaker 1: country will pass any bill for any form of reparation
- 37:33Speaker 1: at all no faith in this country for that. Are
- 37:36Speaker 1: you kidding me? Are you kidding me? The seventy two
- 37:40Speaker 1: million people that voted for Donald Trump? Are you kidding me?
- 37:43Speaker 1: The Republican Party? I have no faith that this government
- 37:48Speaker 1: or any logical movement is gonna support giving anything to
- 37:55Speaker 1: black people. I will not be waiting on this. I
- 37:58Speaker 1: wish it were to happen. I support anybody that has
- 38:01Speaker 1: a great reparations package or proposal that makes sense, but
- 38:07Speaker 1: getting it past this United States we live in. What
- 38:10Speaker 1: That's interesting because some people would say, why is she
- 38:13Speaker 1: being so negative? But you're not. You're not being a pessimist.
- 38:17Speaker 1: It sounds to me like you're being a realist at
- 38:19Speaker 1: this point. I'm not being negative in the United States.
- 38:25Speaker 1: They listen to me. This government won't even give regular
- 38:30Speaker 1: people fifteen dollars minimum wage. You think they're gonna write
- 38:36Speaker 1: a damn check to just some black people this America
- 38:40Speaker 1: that we live in? Are you kidding me? Are you?
- 38:44Speaker 1: This is you? Watch the tapes? Who are you almost
- 38:47Speaker 1: customed to know? You? Then? Yeah, And they've they've moved
- 38:53Speaker 1: past the voting has happened. For this to happen locally,
- 38:56Speaker 1: it's going in the right direction. But federally, yeah, Nation,
- 39:03Speaker 1: that's where it is. Yeah for sure. Yeah, and Lord
- 39:11Speaker 1: only knows what you would have to do to qualify
- 39:14Speaker 1: for the twenty five thousand dollars. No, you have to
- 39:17Speaker 1: be a resident, all right? Yeah, a certain time period,
- 39:21Speaker 1: all right? Coming up at thirty four minutes after the hour,
- 39:23Speaker 1: a quick round of asked the CLO. Right after this,
- 39:26Speaker 1: you're listening to Steve Morning Show. All right, Steve, time
- 39:32Speaker 1: for a quick round of asked the CLO with the
- 39:34Speaker 1: chief Love Officer you, mister Harvey. This one is from
- 39:38Speaker 1: Special K in DC. I'm thirty seven with four beautiful daughters.
- 39:43Speaker 1: I'm seeing a lady that has four children. She's a
- 39:46Speaker 1: great mom, and she loves my daughters like they're her
- 39:48Speaker 1: own daughters. The problem is that she wants another baby.
- 39:52Speaker 1: She will be thirty eight in two months. I'm not
- 39:55Speaker 1: sure why she wants a baby now, but I don't
- 39:58Speaker 1: want or need another kid. I could lie and say
- 40:01Speaker 1: that I have a medical condition and can't have children now,
- 40:05Speaker 1: or I could break up with her. What's a brother
- 40:07Speaker 1: to do? I think y'all can talk this one out.
- 40:10Speaker 1: Eight kids you've ever seen the TV show Eight is enough?
- 40:13Speaker 1: I think, yes, I think, I think I think she
- 40:17Speaker 1: might be able to be talked out of this week.
- 40:21Speaker 1: Foe and Foe is eight. Yeah, that's a lot. I
- 40:24Speaker 1: got seven, you know. Yeah, I'm telling you that's two.
- 40:31Speaker 1: Damn Eddie Murphy has ten. All right, here we go,
- 40:38Speaker 1: Jean and Charlotte, I've married a woman and her son
- 40:42Speaker 1: has finished college. Oh, let me start that over. Jean
- 40:46Speaker 1: and Charlotte says, I'm a married woman and our son
- 40:48Speaker 1: has finished college and moved back in with us. He's
- 40:51Speaker 1: an introvert and his home all day, every day unless
- 40:55Speaker 1: he's at work. He's crapping our style and making life miserable.
- 40:59Speaker 1: My husband and had basically become a two old nudists
- 41:03Speaker 1: walking around the house. Now I have to wear clothes
- 41:06Speaker 1: around the house. Even our sex life is weird because
- 41:08Speaker 1: I'm normally very loud, but I'm more of a whimperer.
- 41:12Speaker 1: Now our son is twenty three and we love him,
- 41:15Speaker 1: But how can we encourage him to move out for good?

- 42:18Speaker 1: that I've always had a crush on him. A few
- 42:20Speaker 1: hours later, we went into the bathroom and locked the door.
- 42:24Speaker 1: He tried to pick me up, and I fell and
- 42:27Speaker 1: landed on his ankle. I had to get some men

- 50:33Speaker 1: who you was about to get it? For real? He
- 50:36Speaker 1: was not playing trying to put the man's wife on
- 50:39Speaker 1: a fly and a bikini, though so inappropriate dude. I
- 50:47Speaker 1: love dudes reactions though, Man, I love dudes reactions about it.
- 50:51Speaker 1: I'll be telling people, Man, once a dude married, it's different.
- 50:56Speaker 1: He ain't trying to hear nothing you say it. It's
- 50:59Speaker 1: did these dudes be serious? But the wives? Man? Yes,
- 51:04Speaker 1: sir us. But was it good? Though? Let me just
- 51:07Speaker 1: ask that? Was it good? You come on? Ask where
- 51:14Speaker 1: you're a genius? So again? And I am, but you're
- 51:18Speaker 1: not gonna give me that. And I understand it was good.
- 51:20Speaker 1: You're king of pranks, Tommy, you are king? Was this
- 51:23Speaker 1: one good? That's all about? It was better than good? Yeah?
- 51:27Speaker 1: Every day? Every day? Yeah? Need ye, yeah, you need
- 51:38Speaker 1: some of you was missing growing up. But I'm fine.
- 51:41Speaker 1: Everything is fine. I get what I wanted to ask
- 51:43Speaker 1: for what I wanted. I get it what every day?
- 51:47Speaker 1: Was it good? Dude? Am I good? It might have been? What? What?
- 51:50Speaker 1: Am I a genius? That I had stopped that? That
- 51:54Speaker 1: was too far far? Yeah? Am my genius? I was?
- 51:57Speaker 1: I put my foot down on that. Yeah? Ever heard?
- 52:02Speaker 1: Go ahead? So? Am I not a genius to you all? No? No,

- 52:14Speaker 1: But you know what, Tommy, you're like the people that

- 52:21Speaker 1: a genius and the jaus the genius. Yeah, hey, Tommy,
- 52:30Speaker 1: let me ask you a question. Maybe maybe maybe we
- 52:33Speaker 1: need to work the bath of some ladies. Maybe this okay,
- 52:36Speaker 1: what is your definition of a genius? I am so
- 52:41Speaker 1: far above a average than most of the majority of
- 52:46Speaker 1: I mean, I'm smart. I think from the left side
- 52:48Speaker 1: of the brain. A lot of people don't even know.
- 52:50Speaker 1: Wait wait wait, wait wait wait wait wait what was
- 52:55Speaker 1: that called? What was that? On the nation of you?
- 53:01Speaker 1: That's how all most vomiting and how he's sang it too.
- 53:05Speaker 1: You know, you know, you take the intelligent tone offer
- 53:10Speaker 1: the dumbass with mall. If you knew anything about the brain,
- 53:14Speaker 1: the left side is when people use for reasoning and
- 53:17Speaker 1: the right side is for creativity. If you do anything,
- 53:21Speaker 1: my creativity is on the left side. You have you well, look, well,
- 53:25Speaker 1: you had sixty seconds to describe genius and you fail.
- 53:29Speaker 1: So well what you want us to do? My strawberry

- 54:01Speaker 1: and hold on tight. We got it for you here.
- 54:03Speaker 1: It is the Strawberry Lid subject I have become friendly
- 54:08Speaker 1: with his wife. Dear Stephen Shirley. I'm a twenty seven
- 54:12Speaker 1: year old single female and I just moved to my
- 54:14Speaker 1: own place and started a new job. I liked my job,
- 54:17Speaker 1: and I have a few associates that I hang out
- 54:20Speaker 1: with after work. There's one guy that I am the
- 54:23Speaker 1: closest with. He's forty seven and married, but unhappy at home.
- 54:27Speaker 1: We created a bond and we could tell each other
- 54:30Speaker 1: anything without judgment. The first time we made love, he
- 54:34Speaker 1: made me feel like a princess. Right after we started
- 54:38Speaker 1: seeing each other, I met his wife at the office.
- 54:41Speaker 1: She asked me where I got my hair braided, and
- 54:44Speaker 1: I told her that my cousin did it. I arranged
- 54:46Speaker 1: for my cousin to braid her here at my place.
- 54:49Speaker 1: The wife came over on a Friday evening with a
- 54:51Speaker 1: bottle of wine and we sat and talked for five
- 54:54Speaker 1: hours while she got her hair braided. It felt awkward
- 54:58Speaker 1: at first, but she's really cool and easy to talk to.
- 55:02Speaker 1: She's thirty three and said sometimes she regrets marrying an
- 55:06Speaker 1: older man. We were vibing and enjoying the wine, all
- 55:10Speaker 1: while some of her husband's clothes, shoes, and toiletries were
- 55:13Speaker 1: at my house. She didn't suspect a thing. Her husband
- 55:17Speaker 1: texted me a few times to make sure everything was
- 55:20Speaker 1: going okay while she was at my place. The following week,
- 55:24Speaker 1: she invited my cousin and I to meet her out
- 55:26Speaker 1: for a drink. She was flirting with men, and she
- 55:29Speaker 1: left us early to meet up with a male friend.
- 55:32Speaker 1: I texted her hubby my boyfriend, to tell him she
- 55:36Speaker 1: might be cheating on him. He told me that he
- 55:39Speaker 1: doesn't want us hanging out anymore. I've been aborting her
- 55:43Speaker 1: since then, but she won't stop calling and texting me.
- 55:46Speaker 1: I think that she and I are friendly enough for
- 55:48Speaker 1: me to tell her the truth about what's going on.
- 55:51Speaker 1: I would want to know if I was married, should
- 55:53Speaker 1: I be honest with her? Or not. Okay, really, come on,
- 55:59Speaker 1: you're kidding me right now? Right? I mean, I gotta
- 56:03Speaker 1: ask you. All of a sudden, you get morals and
- 56:05Speaker 1: a conscious you know you want to be open and honest,
- 56:10Speaker 1: because you certainly didn't have them when you decided to
- 56:12Speaker 1: sleep with her husband slash coworker. You're a coworker. You
- 56:18Speaker 1: fell for the tired cheating husband line or I'm not
- 56:21Speaker 1: happy at home? You fell for that. Uh And now,
- 56:25Speaker 1: after deceitfully befriending his wife, you want to tell her
- 56:30Speaker 1: that you and her man are having sex. Okay? How
- 56:33Speaker 1: is this sounding to you? Because, as you say, you
- 56:37Speaker 1: and wife are friendly enough? Now you know you had
- 56:40Speaker 1: a bottle of wine with her. Uh No, and just
- 56:43Speaker 1: because you drank a bottle of wine with her doesn't
- 56:45Speaker 1: mean that she will she will now whoop whoop you
- 56:47Speaker 1: behind about her man? Okay, you are being messy and petty.
- 56:52Speaker 1: Just beyond messy and petty, you're you're hurtful and delusional
- 56:56Speaker 1: right now? Uh? No good? And what good can come
- 57:00Speaker 1: of this if you run your mouth to her? No,
- 57:02Speaker 1: leave these people alone before you destroy their family. Okay,
- 57:06Speaker 1: And we're not buying your line about you would want
- 57:08Speaker 1: to know if it was you, if you were, Come on,
- 57:11Speaker 1: stop it. You sound really silly, you really do. And
- 57:14Speaker 1: this is Women's History Month. I just want to let
- 57:17Speaker 1: you know that. And we're not having that. Okay, we
- 57:20Speaker 1: are not having it, all right, Steve, Wow, this letter,
- 57:27Speaker 1: it just took so many sharp turns. I know, I mean,
- 57:31Speaker 1: you know, I couldn't even figure out how we went
- 57:34Speaker 1: from what to what. This woman is twenty seven years old,
- 57:40Speaker 1: obviously don't know nothing about life or marriage. You got
- 57:45Speaker 1: to be kidding me. So you meet this, I have
- 57:48Speaker 1: a job, and you got some associate you hang out with.
- 57:51Speaker 1: There's one guy that I'm closest with. Okay, we're going
- 57:55Speaker 1: along with it. He's forty seven and married but unhappy
- 57:58Speaker 1: at home. Off of course he is. Okay, we created
- 58:03Speaker 1: a bond and we could tell each other anything without judgment. Okay,
- 58:07Speaker 1: y'all just hanging out. The first time we made love?
- 58:10Speaker 1: What exactly when that comes from? What? Y'all was just
- 58:17Speaker 1: talking and he was unhappy at the house, and y'all
- 58:21Speaker 1: was sharing stuff with each other without judgment, and y'all
- 58:26Speaker 1: was just associates, and it happened the first time we
- 58:29Speaker 1: made love. What you face that's a hell of a jump, lady.
- 58:34Speaker 1: You just you don't even know how to write letters.
- 58:38Speaker 1: You're just anyway. First time we made love, he made
- 58:42Speaker 1: me feel like a princess. Right after we started seeing
- 58:45Speaker 1: each other, I met his wife at the office. And
- 58:49Speaker 1: then she asked you about how you got your hair braidy,
- 58:50Speaker 1: and your wife came over with a bottle of wine.
- 58:52Speaker 1: You got your cousin come over, Brady, And it felt
- 58:54Speaker 1: awkward at first, but she's really cool, easy to talk to. God, Okay,
- 59:00Speaker 1: how much wine was just more than one bottle? Now?
- 59:05Speaker 1: And then she's thirty three and says sometimes she regrets
- 59:09Speaker 1: marrying an older man. Oh, so, I guess that made
- 59:14Speaker 1: you feel better. Then we were vibing and enjoying the wine,
- 59:19Speaker 1: and all the while some of her husband's clothes, shoes,
- 59:23Speaker 1: and tarletries while at my house. Wait a minute, what
- 59:28Speaker 1: exactly he got clothes, shoes, and tarletries at your house? What?
- 59:38Speaker 1: What's happening? This story just took some big turns in here.
- 59:44Speaker 1: She didn't suspect the thing. Her husband texts me a
- 59:52Speaker 1: few times to make sure everything was going on okay
- 59:54Speaker 1: while she was at my place. Ed, this dude is
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: so damn concerned. Make sure everything Okay? What is he
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: saying though, Steve, Hey, when we come back and I
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: finished the letter, I'm gonna tell you what he's saying
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: in the text after I do the rest of that.
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: All right, all right, we'll have part two of Steve's
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: response coming up in twenty three minutes after the hours,
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: subject I have become friendly with his wife. Will get
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: back into it right after this. You're listening to show,
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: all right, Come on, Steve, let's recap today Strawberry letters.
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: Subject I have become friendly with his wife. Okay, this
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: twenty seven year old woman and got this new job,
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: moved into her home place, and she made some friends
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: with some associates they hang out with after working. This
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: one guy close to h forty seven and man, but
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: he ain't happy at the house, and so and they
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: bonded and they started telling each other anything. Anyway. After
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: the first time we made love. What That's where the
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: letter just took us. We was just talking, passing no
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: judgment for we just saw we was doing. We used
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: to go out to drink and the next thing you know,
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: he just we naked and we just and he made
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: me feel like a princess, and then right after we
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: started seeing each other. So now right away were seeing
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: each other. This ain't no one time we well ite them.
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: And uh, you know, she asked you met her wife
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: at the office, asked where you got to hebraid you
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: told your cousin. Didn't she invited? You invited? She said,
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: couldn't your husband do my half? You invited overdue the half.
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: She bought a bottle of wine. She thirty three years old.
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: She used to talk to She really cool. Y'all got
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: to talk and she admitted that she wished she hadn't
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: married older man. I guess that made you feel okay
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: with seeing him. We were vibing and joining the wine.
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: All the while. Some of her husband's closed shoes and
- 1:01:54Speaker 1: tarntrues was at my house. And she didn't suspect a thing. No,
- 1:01:59Speaker 1: no woman with thinks that a woman that's seeing her
- 1:02:03Speaker 1: husband would invite her to her house to get her Damn, hebraided.
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: It ain't like stupid, She just that's nothing. You can't
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: even think that exactly. You know, that's like a thief
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: invite me to the basement and he got all my
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: stolen stuff in that. Yeah, yeah, that don't make no sense,
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: all right now, she didn't suspect the thing. Her husband
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: texts me a few times to make sure everything was
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: going okay. I'll tell you what that would text us
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: about later. While she was at my place the following week,
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: she invited your cousin now to meet out for a drink.
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: She was flirting with me, and she left us early
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: to meet up with a male friend. I text her
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: husband parentheses my boyfriend to tell him she might be
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: cheating on him. You got a lot of nerves. Yeah,
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: you got a lot of damn nerves. I mean your
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: youth and inn experience with life, relationships, marriage and just
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: how to deal go. You got a lot of nerve
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: to text her husband to tell him that your wife
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: might be cheating on you. That's nerve. He told me
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: he don't want us hanging out no more. Then here
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: we go. I've been avoiding us since then, but she
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: won't stop calling, texting me this way to let her.
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: I think she and I are friendly enough for me
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: to tell her the truth about what's going on. What
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: are you stupid say that again? That she and her
- 1:03:46Speaker 1: are friendly enough for me to tell her the truth
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: about what's going on you. Thank y'all that damn friendly
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: fit to get stabbed? Are you nuts? Have you lost
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: your rabbit ass man? What is wrong with you? See,
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: you're too young to have an affair because you don't
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: know HI supposed to go? Hello, umfairs are wrong. We
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: all know that, but you are too young to have
- 1:04:18Speaker 1: one because you don't even know HI supposed to go.
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: You have a delusionary view that somehow you and this
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: woman is so damn friendly because y'all haven't been and
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: had a drinking and drink wine. She got her hair
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: braided that you've been to tell her I'm screwing your
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: husband and some of his shoes, clothes, and toiletries is
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: at my house and they was over there when you
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: was over that getting your hair braided. What man, it's inconceivable.
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: You can't tell this to no woman of no race
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: and this go good? Right? Then she says, I want
- 1:05:05Speaker 1: to know. I'd want to know if I was married.
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: Should I be honest with her or not? Wait a minute,
- 1:05:13Speaker 1: if you would want to know if you was married,
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: let me ask yourself something. You knew she was married
- 1:05:21Speaker 1: to this man when you bought her over to the house,
- 1:05:26Speaker 1: and it was awkward at first, and then y'all got cool.
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: So now your stupid side, your stupid side came up
- 1:05:34Speaker 1: when you invited her to the house get a hair braided.
- 1:05:37Speaker 1: That that's the stupidity then all this. But somehow you
- 1:05:42Speaker 1: think that if you were married, you would want to know,
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: you would want to know what, Like Shirley said, where
- 1:05:50Speaker 1: did you get all these morals from all of a sudden?
- 1:05:53Speaker 1: You didn't have to know when you're screwing the man
- 1:05:56Speaker 1: keeping the stuff at your house, know when he got
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: a wife. So I don't. I don't got no advice
- 1:06:01Speaker 1: for you. I don't know what you're gonna do, but
- 1:06:03Speaker 1: I'll tell you what if you do go over there
- 1:06:06Speaker 1: to tell this woman, can you record it for us
- 1:06:09Speaker 1: and send it to us because we want to see it.
- 1:06:14Speaker 1: We really want to see I really do now real quick.
- 1:06:19Speaker 1: The text was that he sent to her, Hey, everything good, Yeah,
- 1:06:27Speaker 1: how's it going? She said anything to you? What y'all
- 1:06:31Speaker 1: talking about? That's what dirty works saying? Like right there? Hey,
- 1:06:34Speaker 1: let me let me ask you something. She ain't been
- 1:06:36Speaker 1: in the bedroom in closets. Hey, where going going in
- 1:06:42Speaker 1: and get my toothbrush? Because I think I left it
- 1:06:44Speaker 1: on the cabinet, put it up under the put it
- 1:06:46Speaker 1: up under the plump, plunge your as a matter of fact,
- 1:06:49Speaker 1: throw it away, all right? Coming up next Sports Stock
- 1:06:55Speaker 1: with Junior and forty six minutes after right after this,
- 1:06:58Speaker 1: you're listening Dave Show. All right, it is time, ladies
- 1:07:03Speaker 1: and gentlemen for the one in them, the junior with
- 1:07:05Speaker 1: Sports Talk. What you got Junior? Thank you, Shirley uh Well.
- 1:07:09Speaker 1: Little NBA news in the NBA, the Atlanta Hawks fired
- 1:07:12Speaker 1: head coach Lloyd Pierce. Assistant head coach Nate McMillan will
- 1:07:15Speaker 1: serve as the team interim coach. Now, a lot of
- 1:07:17Speaker 1: coaches around the league are not happy about the firing,
- 1:07:19Speaker 1: but some players from the Hawks are in favor of
- 1:07:21Speaker 1: bringing in a new coach. You know that the Hawks
- 1:07:24Speaker 1: are fifteen and twenty, so you know that's not Nate
- 1:07:29Speaker 1: mimillan is is a good head coach. He had a
- 1:07:31Speaker 1: head coach experience, so you know, it's not a it's
- 1:07:33Speaker 1: not it's not a bad move. Just the fact that
- 1:07:35Speaker 1: Lloyd Pierce was a young coach. He's, you know, young
- 1:07:38Speaker 1: black coach in the NBA and it's his second season,
- 1:07:40Speaker 1: so you know, like, well, you know all the time, others,
- 1:07:43Speaker 1: other teams, you know that way, Hey, he can get
- 1:07:45Speaker 1: more than two years? Can he get more than two years?
- 1:07:49Speaker 1: You know? So that's what the up said about that. Yeah.
- 1:07:51Speaker 1: So also in the NFL, this gonna hurt timing. This
- 1:07:55Speaker 1: gonna hurt dog in the NFL for me, you used
- 1:07:59Speaker 1: in text defensive player j J. Watt has in history
- 1:08:03Speaker 1: agency questions after he posted a picture of himself working
- 1:08:07Speaker 1: out together in um in an Arizona card. The shirt
- 1:08:14Speaker 1: M what one of you crying for Junior? Because we
- 1:08:19Speaker 1: ain't get a grind? Because he knows what you obviously
- 1:08:22Speaker 1: don't know. We ain't got nobody, got nobody? J J
- 1:08:28Speaker 1: s one million dollar deal? What three man guaranteed? Yeah,
- 1:08:36Speaker 1: cried Junior. Let it out? Come on? You know the
- 1:08:40Speaker 1: next step is what the show wasn't gonna be. Yeah,
- 1:08:45Speaker 1: y'allpen to be Cleveland this. I don't want to be Cleveland.
- 1:08:55Speaker 1: I don't want to Cleveland. Hanging at you? Sorry, see hey, Junior, Junior. Note,
- 1:09:06Speaker 1: notice how the genius ain't smart enough to figure out
- 1:09:09Speaker 1: why you crying? You don't have a clue. Yeah, team,
- 1:09:16Speaker 1: let me just tell me this about the team. We
- 1:09:18Speaker 1: also released two cornerbacks yesterday. Y'all released two quarter cornerbacks yesterday,
- 1:09:29Speaker 1: released two quarterbacks yesterday. And then we sighed. We said,
- 1:09:35Speaker 1: David Johnson again, Who the hell is David Jump? That's
- 1:09:45Speaker 1: why you ain't got nobody because you signed people. Don't
- 1:09:48Speaker 1: nobody know. This is who we got for the Audrey Howkins.
- 1:09:56Speaker 1: He's a wide receiver. Don't you don't even a genius.
- 1:10:05Speaker 1: You don't know a damn thing. All right, Junior, we
- 1:10:09Speaker 1: gotta go. Thank you so much. Coming up at the
- 1:10:11Speaker 1: top of the hour. More Steve Harvey Morning Show. Right
- 1:10:15Speaker 1: after this. You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:10:21Speaker 1: In today's office topic, here's a question. Have you ever
- 1:10:26Speaker 1: been told just be yourself, just be yourself and you'll
- 1:10:29Speaker 1: be fine, and it ended up being horrible advice for you.
- 1:10:33Speaker 1: Maybe it was on a first date, Maybe you were
- 1:10:35Speaker 1: told to be yourself on your first day of a
- 1:10:37Speaker 1: new job. So, Steve, I gotta ask you, are there
- 1:10:41Speaker 1: situations that you should avoid just being yourself? When you
- 1:10:45Speaker 1: were comfortable enough to just be yourself in your relationship
- 1:10:48Speaker 1: or when were you comfortable enough to be just being
- 1:10:51Speaker 1: in your relationship? Those are two different questions. My first
- 1:10:54Speaker 1: first gig on the radio in LA. Would you, oh
- 1:10:58Speaker 1: the dude, ain't me the job to man? Just be yourself.
- 1:11:01Speaker 1: Three days later they hied surely said we had enough
- 1:11:08Speaker 1: being himself. We need to get a radio person in
- 1:11:11Speaker 1: here to control some of it. We need surely get
- 1:11:14Speaker 1: in that when yeah, do a time talk. I didn't
- 1:11:18Speaker 1: do time check. I'd never announced what the station you're
- 1:11:21Speaker 1: listening to. If you hear my voice, ain't you listening
- 1:11:26Speaker 1: to the station? I got to come in and say
- 1:11:30Speaker 1: this fault. You have to say the call, let us
- 1:11:35Speaker 1: to let them know. Boy, how's you hearing me say
- 1:11:38Speaker 1: the call letters? If your station ain't on this one,
- 1:11:42Speaker 1: start to you. But just checks and then and then
- 1:11:49Speaker 1: and then and then. In the LA the traffic, I
- 1:11:51Speaker 1: didn't understand that it's rush hour, the four five. It's
- 1:11:55Speaker 1: packed every damn day time. Two days, Hey, we have
- 1:12:01Speaker 1: to go to a commercial at eighteen after. But I'm
- 1:12:04Speaker 1: talking though. Yep. They put Shirley Strawbery on the radio.
- 1:12:11Speaker 1: When I first met Shirley, I thought she was attractive,
- 1:12:14Speaker 1: but I didn't care for her because I said, you know,
- 1:12:18Speaker 1: I went me trying to tell me what to do. Yeah,
- 1:12:21Speaker 1: he didn't like me, because he had nothing to do
- 1:12:23Speaker 1: with my hiring. They it's exactly true what he's saying. No,
- 1:12:28Speaker 1: they just put her in there. They ain't ask me nothing.
- 1:12:30Speaker 1: I looked at him. They asked me for a while
- 1:12:34Speaker 1: to come in to listen to the show, to listen.
- 1:12:36Speaker 1: So he actually had no control over you, Shirley. Let's
- 1:12:40Speaker 1: let's not let's just call it what it is. Shirt.
- 1:12:42Speaker 1: He had no control over you. You were hired by
- 1:12:45Speaker 1: somebody else. He had nothing to do with your hiring. No, no,
- 1:12:49Speaker 1: come in there, love it. I had to do radio
- 1:12:55Speaker 1: radio show. What are you doing? So, I said, baby girl,
- 1:12:59Speaker 1: baby girl, stop saying all that I'm talking. She said,
- 1:13:03Speaker 1: we have to go to break. We ain't going right now.
- 1:13:08Speaker 1: I'm doing something. And you know what the sad part is,
- 1:13:12Speaker 1: not much has changed, not much here we are now
- 1:13:18Speaker 1: some time now because it's still what sponsorships me. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:13:23Speaker 1: I didn't get that obedient. You fought it, fuyeah. You
- 1:13:29Speaker 1: still want to You just say, almost another job. Don't
- 1:13:32Speaker 1: see what they asked you to be. Just be yourself.
- 1:13:36Speaker 1: I really, you know I lied to get all my
- 1:13:40Speaker 1: other jobs before I got in the show business. If
- 1:13:43Speaker 1: I have told the truth, I'd have never got hired.
- 1:13:45Speaker 1: I couldn't beat myself. Y'all wouldn't hide me like a
- 1:13:49Speaker 1: criminal record, criminal background, I've been at court. I don't
- 1:13:53Speaker 1: know how many times I'm own probation. Ain'tybody couldn't hire me?
- 1:13:58Speaker 1: So I lied? Why I lied on all my applications.
- 1:14:03Speaker 1: I tried to get a job one time at a
- 1:14:05Speaker 1: jewelry store. What question was? What kind of jewry stole? Though?
- 1:14:12Speaker 1: What we're talking about, like a jewelry store in them
- 1:14:14Speaker 1: all South? Yeah, something like. It was a little little
- 1:14:19Speaker 1: jewelry store. I just saw some watches I liked. Now
- 1:14:21Speaker 1: I'm living, going in and try to work here. And uh,
- 1:14:24Speaker 1: the guy was sitting at the interview, he said, have
- 1:14:26Speaker 1: you ever stole anything? Before? I said, like what? Yeah?
- 1:14:34Speaker 1: But I went, you know, have you ever stolen thing
- 1:14:36Speaker 1: like like what like you talk tater chips or something
- 1:14:39Speaker 1: like that. I would admit to that, but like, have
- 1:14:41Speaker 1: I stole jewelry? Now? Not yet? That's that's trying to stay.
- 1:14:45Speaker 1: So I was just went with it. Now like what
- 1:14:48Speaker 1: he said, anything he saw When I was little, I
- 1:14:51Speaker 1: used to steal potato chips and stuff. Okay, you get
- 1:14:54Speaker 1: the job. Oh, no, he said, we thank you for
- 1:14:57Speaker 1: coming here. All right, We'll have more of the Steve
- 1:15:01Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show coming up a twenty minutes after. Right
- 1:15:03Speaker 1: after this, you're listening to show. Texas Governor Greg Abbott
- 1:15:11Speaker 1: has announced get this, guys, that he's lifting all coronavirus restrictions.
- 1:15:17Speaker 1: You heard me, right, He's lifting all coronavirus restrictions. Abbott
- 1:15:22Speaker 1: said yesterday that it is now time to open Texas
- 1:15:26Speaker 1: one hundred percent. But the thing is that COVID has
- 1:15:31Speaker 1: not just suddenly disappeared and gone away. But he's just saying, no,
- 1:15:39Speaker 1: it's a deflection, that's all it is. Because of the
- 1:15:42Speaker 1: one he's saying. The state mandates are no longer needed.
- 1:15:49Speaker 1: All businesses will be allowed to operate one hundred percent capacity,
- 1:15:53Speaker 1: and the mask mandate will be lifted entirely. County judges
- 1:15:57Speaker 1: can issue local orders if hospitalization rates exceed fifteen percent
- 1:16:03Speaker 1: hospital bad capacity for seven days, people are going to die.
- 1:16:09Speaker 1: We're just now trying to get a grip on it.
- 1:16:11Speaker 1: With the vaccinations and you know, on all this and
- 1:16:14Speaker 1: now you're going to ruin the progress we've made. Teachers
- 1:16:18Speaker 1: haven't all been vaccinated yet, Yeah, teachers, this isn't keep
- 1:16:23Speaker 1: making it. How are you smarter than the scientists? How
- 1:16:26Speaker 1: are you smarter? We have in this country critical issues.
- 1:16:30Speaker 1: Some of the dumbest elected officials of any nation that
- 1:16:36Speaker 1: have the freedoms and the ability to make decisions about
- 1:16:39Speaker 1: people's lives without even using scientific fact. It's ridiculous. Yeah,
- 1:16:46Speaker 1: people that they're supposed to be serving. All right, more
- 1:16:48Speaker 1: of the Steve Harvey Morning Show coming up at thirty
- 1:16:50Speaker 1: three minutes after. Right after this you're listening to show.
- 1:16:55Speaker 1: All right, Steve, time for a quick round of ass
- 1:16:58Speaker 1: the clo with the Chief Love sir, you, mister Harvey.
- 1:17:02Speaker 1: This one is from Special K in DC. I'm thirty
- 1:17:05Speaker 1: seven with four beautiful daughters. I'm seeing a lady that
- 1:17:09Speaker 1: has four children. She's a great mom, and she loves
- 1:17:12Speaker 1: my daughters like they're her own daughters. The problem is
- 1:17:15Speaker 1: that she wants another baby. She will be thirty eight
- 1:17:19Speaker 1: in two months. I'm not sure why she wants a
- 1:17:21Speaker 1: baby now, but I don't want or need another kid.
- 1:17:25Speaker 1: I could lie and say that I have a medical
- 1:17:27Speaker 1: condition and can't have children now, or I could break
- 1:17:30Speaker 1: up with her. What's a brother to do? I think
- 1:17:33Speaker 1: y'all can talk this one out eight kids? You ever
- 1:17:36Speaker 1: seen the TV show eight is enough? All right, here
- 1:17:39Speaker 1: we go, Jean and Charlotte, I've married a woman and
- 1:17:43Speaker 1: her son has finished college. Oh, let me start that over.
- 1:17:47Speaker 1: Jean and Charlotte says, I'm a married woman and our
- 1:17:50Speaker 1: son has finished college and move back in with us.
- 1:17:53Speaker 1: He's an introvert and his home all day, every day
- 1:17:56Speaker 1: unless he's at work. He's crapping our style and making
- 1:17:59Speaker 1: life miserable. My husband and I had basically become a
- 1:18:03Speaker 1: two old nudists walking around the house. Now I have
- 1:18:07Speaker 1: to wear clothes around the house. Even our sex life
- 1:18:10Speaker 1: is weird because I'm normally very loud, but I'm more
- 1:18:13Speaker 1: of a whimperer. Now our son is twenty three and
- 1:18:16Speaker 1: we love him, but how can we encourage him to
- 1:18:18Speaker 1: move out for good? The encouragement is get out. It's
- 1:18:22Speaker 1: like that, but it cause all mine gone went to
- 1:18:25Speaker 1: twenty three. He can't stay here. You can't stay here
- 1:18:28Speaker 1: because you you know, but mine, none of my kids introverted.
- 1:18:31Speaker 1: The reason they can't stay here is because they stay out.
- 1:18:34Speaker 1: And all this coming in late and all this here,
- 1:18:36Speaker 1: I need a key, naw, hell no coming over with
- 1:18:39Speaker 1: friends and stuff. Now now, hell, no, you got to
- 1:18:42Speaker 1: get he got to go. He twenty three, He working
- 1:18:44Speaker 1: get an apartment. You got ninety days, say a matter
- 1:18:47Speaker 1: of fact, he'll he'll go the first most written last
- 1:18:50Speaker 1: moment by let him take his introverted, quiet ass somewhere
- 1:18:54Speaker 1: in his own apartment so they can walk around the
- 1:18:57Speaker 1: house man naked and free. All right, Moving on, Shelley
- 1:19:03Speaker 1: and the Bronx says. I'm a twenty nine year old
- 1:19:05Speaker 1: female and I ran into my college algebra professor at
- 1:19:08Speaker 1: a cigar bar last weekend. He cut right to the
- 1:19:11Speaker 1: chase and started flirting with me. I told him that
- 1:19:14Speaker 1: I've always had a crush on him. A few hours later,
- 1:19:17Speaker 1: we went into the bathroom and locked the door. He
- 1:19:20Speaker 1: tried to pick me up, and I fell and landed
- 1:19:23Speaker 1: on his ankle. I had to get some men to
- 1:19:26Speaker 1: help him get to his car, to help get him
- 1:19:28Speaker 1: to his car, and he was very embarrassed. He's not
- 1:19:31Speaker 1: returning my calls, and I was just trying to make
- 1:19:33Speaker 1: sure he's all right. Should I let it go? Well,
- 1:19:37Speaker 1: now we got problem. Hire. Yeah, he tried to pick
- 1:19:42Speaker 1: you up, you fell on his ankle. See now, see
- 1:19:47Speaker 1: two things happen. I'm gonna go with this one. Hire
- 1:19:51Speaker 1: Professor old ass probably should have never tried to pick
- 1:19:55Speaker 1: you up. That's a good waited because he ain't had
- 1:19:58Speaker 1: a strift for it. Now he didn't. He didn't had
- 1:20:03Speaker 1: a strength for what he saw. You know, he's been
- 1:20:06Speaker 1: off molded. He could coming up our last break of
- 1:20:11Speaker 1: the day, and we'll have some closing remarks from the
- 1:20:13Speaker 1: one and only Steve Harvey at forty nine minutes after
- 1:20:16Speaker 1: right after this, you're listening to show all right, here
- 1:20:22Speaker 1: we are, guys, our last break of the day. It's
- 1:20:25Speaker 1: been a good day, a good hump day, good Wednesday. Hunt.
- 1:20:27Speaker 1: I was gonna say, hopefully the stimulus checks get passed,
- 1:20:30Speaker 1: the package pass. Yeah, it's at the Senate now. You
- 1:20:35Speaker 1: know it's going to pass. But like in my closing remarks,
- 1:20:38Speaker 1: you don't let me say this. You know, I've I've
- 1:20:42Speaker 1: really been watching this thing and I just want to
- 1:20:47Speaker 1: say something to people who have good sense. You know,
- 1:20:51Speaker 1: the stimulus package. They tied in the package as a
- 1:20:55Speaker 1: part of relief to include fifteen dollar minimum wage. To
- 1:21:00Speaker 1: this day, I haven't heard anyone give me a good
- 1:21:05Speaker 1: reason as to why it's not a good idea to
- 1:21:09Speaker 1: allow the common man to make at minimum fifteen dollars
- 1:21:14Speaker 1: an hour. Oh, I know why they're not saved that
- 1:21:23Speaker 1: it quiet is not a good idea. See, rich people
- 1:21:26Speaker 1: objective is to stay rich and get richer. If they
- 1:21:31Speaker 1: are forced to pay you fifteen dollars an hour minimum,
- 1:21:36Speaker 1: it cuts into their profit. That's fast food restaurants, that's
- 1:21:42Speaker 1: grosser restores, that's giant retail places. That's gas stations, that's
- 1:21:51Speaker 1: every outlet, seventy eleven quick trip, all of it, truck stops.
- 1:21:58Speaker 1: I'm talking all the way down to school, job offices,
- 1:22:04Speaker 1: lunch room ladies, everything. It would cause every single business
- 1:22:12Speaker 1: to cut into their profit. Now, the part they're not
- 1:22:17Speaker 1: telling you is they would get that money back in
- 1:22:22Speaker 1: taxes because it would also increase the taxes. But the
- 1:22:28Speaker 1: Republicans can't allow that to happen because they kind of
- 1:22:33Speaker 1: keep selling you the lie year after year that they're
- 1:22:36Speaker 1: trying to raise your taxes. This is a cold trick
- 1:22:41Speaker 1: that they run it discovernment this country that we keep
- 1:22:46Speaker 1: saying this is not who we are, but it's a
- 1:22:50Speaker 1: large percentage of this country who is exactly that. And
- 1:22:55Speaker 1: now we get into this part of this COVID thing
- 1:22:58Speaker 1: where this vaccine is now out and I guess what
- 1:23:01Speaker 1: these governors are talking about. They're gonna stop these mandatory
- 1:23:05Speaker 1: mandates of mass Listeners of the Steve Harvey Morning Show,
- 1:23:09Speaker 1: use your common sense and your better judgment. Don't let
- 1:23:14Speaker 1: nobody talk you into being stupid just because they are,
- 1:23:18Speaker 1: just because a person as an elected official, what has
- 1:23:23Speaker 1: made them all of a sudden the go to what
- 1:23:27Speaker 1: has made them the most sensible person? I am stunned
- 1:23:32Speaker 1: at the leadership in this country. I am stunned, first
- 1:23:35Speaker 1: of all, at the ignorance that I see coming from leadership.
- 1:23:39Speaker 1: I am stunned at the hypocrisy that comes from the
- 1:23:44Speaker 1: leadership of this country. And I'm stunned at the cowardice
- 1:23:49Speaker 1: I've never seen the Republican Party. And I'm talking directly
- 1:23:53Speaker 1: to Republicans right now. If you are sitting up in
- 1:23:58Speaker 1: here and you won't hold Donald Trump accountable for nothing
- 1:24:04Speaker 1: he's done, you've turned a blind eye to the porno stars,
- 1:24:10Speaker 1: the playboy bunnies, the sexual allegations. That he has the
- 1:24:14Speaker 1: best lawyers in the world, and he keeps jumping through them.
- 1:24:17Speaker 1: Hoops Cuomo get accused to something, he gots to go.
- 1:24:26Speaker 1: The every politician that gets accused, everybody gots to go
- 1:24:30Speaker 1: except Donald Trump. The cowardice of this party man is
- 1:24:36Speaker 1: shameful to me. And then he went to c Pack
- 1:24:40Speaker 1: and set up there and called out each one of
- 1:24:44Speaker 1: the people in the House and the Senate that voted
- 1:24:46Speaker 1: to impeach Hump said their name at Cpack, blasted him out.
- 1:24:51Speaker 1: It was written in the teleprompter. He read all these
- 1:24:55Speaker 1: people's names to publicly should be public chief publicly just
- 1:25:02Speaker 1: brandished these people, make them like if you're these are
- 1:25:06Speaker 1: the people who are against me. And you know why
- 1:25:09Speaker 1: he did that, to throw fear into the other ones
- 1:25:12Speaker 1: who might try to jump ship. And Donald Trump has
- 1:25:15Speaker 1: come up with the master game of all master games.
- 1:25:19Speaker 1: I'm gonna pretend like I could run again in twenty
- 1:25:22Speaker 1: twenty four to keep my hand and my thumb on
- 1:25:25Speaker 1: the neck of the GOP party. Are y'all kidding me?
- 1:25:31Speaker 1: And so now all of you who have had the
- 1:25:36Speaker 1: ambition of being president of the United States today, you
- 1:25:39Speaker 1: just you're gonna forego that because you're gonna let this
- 1:25:43Speaker 1: dude possibly run again. But let me tell you something,
- 1:25:46Speaker 1: he won't win again. He won't win again. And I'm
- 1:25:51Speaker 1: gonna tell you why he won't win again because we
- 1:25:53Speaker 1: locked and loaded. Now we didn't figure it out. We
- 1:25:58Speaker 1: are a part of the solution. We are a viable
- 1:26:03Speaker 1: voting block. And through all your voter oppression and everything
- 1:26:07Speaker 1: that you will come up with over the next three years,
- 1:26:10Speaker 1: we're gonna be prepared for it. And we're gonna vote,
- 1:26:14Speaker 1: and we're gonna vote and vote, and we're gonna register
- 1:26:16Speaker 1: more voters, and we're gonna get to these people who
- 1:26:20Speaker 1: didn't vote. We're gonna get them to the polls, and
- 1:26:23Speaker 1: we're gonna turn him back in twenty twenty four. And
- 1:26:26Speaker 1: if you try to run against him, you're gonna be
- 1:26:29Speaker 1: a coward and you're gonna be scared. Trust in your God,
- 1:26:33Speaker 1: trust in your gut, and do the right thing. Y'all.
- 1:26:36Speaker 1: Stay safe out here where these masks wash your hands.
- 1:26:38Speaker 1: This thing ain't over. This thing ain't over, y'all. Y'all
- 1:26:42Speaker 1: be careful. See y'all tomorrow. For all Steve Every contests,
