- 0:21Speaker 1: And you're a special guy. Thank you very much.

- 0:24Speaker 3: You're listening to the forty seven Morning Update with Ben Ferguson.
- 0:27Speaker 4: Good Saturday morning to you. Ben Ferguson with you, and
- 0:31Speaker 4: these are some of the stories that you may have
- 0:33Speaker 4: missed that we talked about this week on the forty
- 0:36Speaker 4: seven Morning Update. First up, the media goes all in
- 0:40Speaker 4: on two big conspiracies against Donald Trump. One that he
- 0:44Speaker 4: wore a blue suit to the Vatican, breaking protocol even
- 0:48Speaker 4: though Joe Biden wore the same color suit. And they're
- 0:51Speaker 4: also saying that there could be some mystery illness for
- 0:54Speaker 4: the president since he's lost weight and gotten in better shape.
- 0:58Speaker 4: Up next, shocking speech from the floor of the Senate
- 1:02Speaker 4: by Chuck Schumer, which basically could have been written by
- 1:05Speaker 4: the Chinese Communist Party on tariffs. I'll have that for
- 1:09Speaker 4: you in just a second. And finally, Elon Musk and
- 1:12Speaker 4: his dog's team have been hard at work day after
- 1:16Speaker 4: day after day, and now the staff is revealing that
- 1:19Speaker 4: the Institute of Peace was not peaceful at all, in
- 1:22Speaker 4: fact giving six figure contracts to former members of the Taliban.
- 1:28Speaker 4: That story as well. It's the forty seven morning update,
- 1:31Speaker 4: and it starts right now.
- 1:33Speaker 3: Story number one.
- 1:34Speaker 4: If you were watching the media, they told you two
- 1:37Speaker 4: massive lies about Donald Trump in the last forty eight hours.
- 1:41Speaker 4: One of them involved the Vatican asking Pope Francis funeral
- 1:45Speaker 4: attendees to wear all black, and the hit on the
- 1:48Speaker 4: President was he wore a blue suit. They then posted
- 1:52Speaker 4: a picture showing Donald Trump in the blue suit only
- 1:55Speaker 4: with people around him wearing black, implying that he was
- 1:58Speaker 4: the only one to win a blue suit. Well, if
- 2:02Speaker 4: you look at the actual picture of a larger group
- 2:05Speaker 4: of individuals at the funeral, it is very clear that
- 2:08Speaker 4: there were quite a few men wearing blue suits, including
- 2:12Speaker 4: Joe Biden. But that didn't stop CNN from telling the
- 2:17Speaker 4: big lie and plying that Donald Trump did something terrible
- 2:21Speaker 4: by wearing a blue suit. But that wasn't the only
- 2:24Speaker 4: lie they were talking about as well. There was another
- 2:27Speaker 4: one that there's some big conspiracy over Donald Trump getting
- 2:31Speaker 4: in better shape. Yes, Donald Trump is lost weight. In fact,
- 2:35Speaker 4: they released this information from the White House saying he
- 2:38Speaker 4: was in better shape than he was a year ago.
- 2:40Speaker 4: But leave it to CNN to imply that there's some deep,
- 2:44Speaker 4: dark secret to Trump's weight loss or some massive cover up,
- 2:49Speaker 4: and that's why you don't know what's really going on.
- 2:53Speaker 4: They combined the two stories into one. This is real
- 2:57Speaker 4: and it actually played on CNN.
- 2:59Speaker 5: Was so fascinated by the whole sort of playing out
- 3:04Speaker 5: of the Pope's funeral. I guess right, as opposed to
- 3:08Speaker 5: memorial Donald Trump in a blue suit when we know
- 3:12Speaker 5: he has a black suit because he was wearing a
- 3:14Speaker 5: black suit the last time he met the Pope, so
- 3:16Speaker 5: why wasn't he wearing it this time? Lots of suspicion
- 3:19Speaker 5: because he's lost a lot of weight. Who knows how
- 3:21Speaker 5: he's lost weight. We know that Robert Kennedy Junior, his
- 3:25Speaker 5: health minister, doesn't approve of people taking a zempic because
- 3:29Speaker 5: he thinks it shows a lack of moral power. So
- 3:32Speaker 5: who knows how Trumps lost weight, but I found the
- 3:34Speaker 5: suit color very interesting, and for someone like me, who
- 3:37Speaker 5: is a boss is a huge believer in getting people
- 3:40Speaker 5: together as opposed to doing things remotely, I think you
- 3:43Speaker 5: see the power of bringing world leaders together to have
- 3:46Speaker 5: impromptu meetings. Whether or not Macarol refused his handshake in
- 3:51Speaker 5: the initial meeting, during the peace they actually shook hands,
- 3:54Speaker 5: which felt like a step forward.
- 3:56Speaker 4: Isn't it amazing just how much the media will lie
- 3:59Speaker 4: to try to hurt President Donald Trump, And when they
- 4:02Speaker 4: do lie, we will make sure that you hear it.
- 4:05Speaker 4: And that's exactly why we do this show and make
- 4:08Speaker 4: sure that you share it so other people know that
- 4:10Speaker 4: this is nothing more than a hit job on the
- 4:12Speaker 4: President of the United States of America trying to act
- 4:15Speaker 4: like he did some horrible thing by wearing the same
- 4:17Speaker 4: color suit as Joe Biden, or the fact that somehow
- 4:20Speaker 4: something nefarious is going on with his health because he's
- 4:23Speaker 4: actually gotten healthier and lost weight.
- 4:26Speaker 3: Now, story number two.
- 4:28Speaker 4: It was a speech from the floor of the Senate
- 4:30Speaker 4: by the Senate leadership of the Democratic Party, Chuck Schumer,
- 4:35Speaker 4: and it was a speech that very well could have
- 4:37Speaker 4: been written by the Chinese Communist Party If you want
- 4:40Speaker 4: to know just how much they hate American workers and
- 4:44Speaker 4: they hate the idea of America standing firm or standing
- 4:47Speaker 4: up to China, well just listen to Chuck Schumer's own words.
- 4:52Speaker 4: And I'm not kidding when I say this. You gotta
- 4:54Speaker 4: wonder did the speech come directly from the CCP.
- 4:58Speaker 6: One thing is clear, Donald trump tariffs have been a
- 5:01Speaker 6: total failure. Instead of isolating China, Donald Trump's tariffs are
- 5:05Speaker 6: isolating US. Instead of spurring American manufacturing, Trump's tariffs are
- 5:10Speaker 6: raising costs and driving US into recession. There's no strategy
- 5:15Speaker 6: with Trump's tariffs, only chaos. One day Donald Trump says
- 5:20Speaker 6: yes to tariffs, the next day no to tariffs. One day,
- 5:24Speaker 6: tariff's on this country, the next day tariff's on that country.
- 5:29Speaker 6: Even Donald Trump's own policy advisors are struggling to explain
- 5:34Speaker 6: his flip flopping. The only thing Donald Trump's tariffs have
- 5:38Speaker 6: succeeded in is raising the odds of recession and sending
- 5:42Speaker 6: markets into his tailspin.
- 5:43Speaker 4: If you want to file that speech under Chinese propaganda,
- 5:47Speaker 4: it'd be a perfect place to put it. And there
- 5:49Speaker 4: was also many things that were just flat out lies.
- 5:52Speaker 4: For example, he said it was destroying manufacturing these tariffs
- 5:56Speaker 4: in America. Well, that's actually not true. US manufacturers are
- 6:01Speaker 4: now reporting major benefits from the tariffs. Whirlpool, for instance,
- 6:06Speaker 4: has indicated that the new trade policies helped level the
- 6:09Speaker 4: playing field by reducing foreign competitors' cost advantages and bolstering
- 6:14Speaker 4: domestic production. New Corp, a leading still producer, also saying
- 6:19Speaker 4: now they have strong demand and increase order backlogs, attributing
- 6:23Speaker 4: this to reduce reliance on imported steel. The tariffs have
- 6:27Speaker 4: prompted companies to consider reshoring production, including Apple, for example,
- 6:32Speaker 4: is expected to exceed earnings projections, partly due to increased
- 6:36Speaker 4: consumer demand ahead of potential tariffs and its effort to
- 6:40Speaker 4: shift production from China to India and other countries. Yes,
- 6:44Speaker 4: the President is making progress on tariff negotiations, as the
- 6:49Speaker 4: administration says, be patient. Many countries have lined up to
- 6:53Speaker 4: talk with the White House and are currently in negotiations.
- 6:57Speaker 7: Wine.
- 6:58Speaker 4: The White House statement said very clearly, tariffs are aiming
- 7:02Speaker 4: to rebuild the economy, restore national and economic security, and
- 7:07Speaker 4: make sure that American workers have great paying manufacturing jobs. Yes,
- 7:13Speaker 4: all of this indicates that there are major outcomes that
- 7:16Speaker 4: could come in the days and weeks ahead that will
- 7:20Speaker 4: be good for America. So why did the man in
- 7:23Speaker 4: charge of the Democratic Party put a propaganda speech out
- 7:26Speaker 4: there from the four of the Senate. Well, you got
- 7:29Speaker 4: to look at maybe just how close the Democratic Party
- 7:32Speaker 4: really is to the Chinese Communist Party in Beijing.
- 7:36Speaker 3: And lastly, story number three, there is one story.
- 7:39Speaker 4: That maybe hasn't been getting that many headlines lately, and
- 7:41Speaker 4: that is the fact that DOGE is still finding waste, fraud,
- 7:45Speaker 4: and abuse. It's certainly a story that the media doesn't
- 7:48Speaker 4: want you to know about, and that's exactly why Elon
- 7:51Speaker 4: Muss brought many of his staffers together to tell what
- 7:55Speaker 4: they are now finding. They did this with Jesse Waters
- 7:58Speaker 4: on Fox News Channel. Now, the DOGE staffers revealed something
- 8:02Speaker 4: shocking that the Institute of Peace is not actually that peaceful.
- 8:06Speaker 4: In fact, some of their money was going to members
- 8:09Speaker 4: of the Taliban.
- 8:10Speaker 7: Take a listen to this, Yeah, and.
- 8:12Speaker 2: So it was by far the least peaceful agency that
- 8:15Speaker 2: we've worked with. Ironically, of course, Additionally, we found that
- 8:19Speaker 2: they were spending money on things like private jets, and
- 8:21Speaker 2: they even had a one hundred and thirty thousand dollars
- 8:23Speaker 2: contract with a former member of the Taliban.
- 8:25Speaker 7: This is real.
- 8:26Speaker 2: We don't encounter that in most agencies.
- 8:29Speaker 7: What was the money going to the Taliban for? So
- 8:33Speaker 7: it was a contractor.
- 8:34Speaker 2: They received one hundred and thirty thousand dollars for generic services.
- 8:37Speaker 2: And to Elon's point, there was not actually a clear
- 8:39Speaker 2: description of what the contractor services were for. But was
- 8:41Speaker 2: it for opium unclear?
- 8:45Speaker 7: Or weapons?
- 8:47Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 8:48Speaker 7: Or nothing for a broad or yeah?
- 8:51Speaker 2: And you actually have to ask the question how did
- 8:53Speaker 2: we get here? Like when the country was founded, there
- 8:55Speaker 2: were only four agencies. Today there are over four hundred,
- 8:58Speaker 2: so there's been a one hundred uc increase. And then
- 8:59Speaker 2: i'm of agencies since the founding of the nation. And
- 9:02Speaker 2: thanks to President Trump, he's now signed two executive orders
- 9:05Speaker 2: to start to reduce the number of agencies in the government,
- 9:07Speaker 2: and the institute Apiece was one of them, which is
- 9:08Speaker 2: why our team went into try and understand what was
- 9:10Speaker 2: going on, and that's when we found all the craziness,
- 9:12Speaker 2: like the weapons and their armory. We found the payments
- 9:15Speaker 2: to the Taliban.
- 9:18Speaker 7: Oh yeah, idea of right.
- 9:20Speaker 2: So just a few hours after we got into their headquarters,
- 9:22Speaker 2: we found that their chief accountant had actually deleted over
- 9:25Speaker 2: a terabyte of accounting records from several leaders, So you'd
- 9:27Speaker 2: have to ask the question, well, why would.
- 9:29Speaker 7: Somebody do that?
- 9:30Speaker 2: If the Doch team fortunately was able to recover that
- 9:32Speaker 2: data with the help of a few great employees at
- 9:33Speaker 2: the Institute a piece. And I think the most troubling
- 9:36Speaker 2: thing was they received fifty five million dollars a year
- 9:38Speaker 2: from Congress, and any money that went unspent, instead of
- 9:41Speaker 2: returning that to Congress, they would sweep it into a
- 9:43Speaker 2: private bank account which had no Congressional oversight, and that's
- 9:46Speaker 2: what they would use to fund things like events at
- 9:48Speaker 2: their headquarters and the private jets. And so I think
- 9:51Speaker 2: it's a great example because most Americans don't know what's
- 9:55Speaker 2: going on at a lot of these smaller agencies, and
- 9:56Speaker 2: this is a I think the most extreme case of
- 9:58Speaker 2: some of the a wasteful spend that we're finding.
- 10:01Speaker 8: So the agencies are hiding money from you, they're sending
- 10:04Speaker 8: it to the Taliban.
- 10:05Speaker 7: They have loaded weapons in the department.
- 10:08Speaker 2: Buildings at the Institute of Peace.
- 10:10Speaker 8: At the Institute of Peace, that's right, So this is
- 10:12Speaker 8: a cover up.
- 10:13Speaker 7: When you guys roll in if this wanted to cover
- 10:15Speaker 7: up the delete a vast amount of financial information. That's
- 10:21Speaker 7: really a definition of a cover up. Isn't that illegal
- 10:23Speaker 7: to delete evidence? Yes, shred documents.
- 10:27Speaker 2: It's certainly illegal to delete accounting records that the Congress
- 10:31Speaker 2: would certainly want to know where the congressionally appropriated funds
- 10:33Speaker 2: are going from taxpayers.
- 10:35Speaker 8: When you catch them going Hillary style on their computers,
- 10:40Speaker 8: do you refer this to the Department of Justice?
- 10:42Speaker 2: In this case, we did refer the evidence in the
- 10:44Speaker 2: accounting example to the FBI and DJ We're proud to
- 10:48Speaker 2: do that.
- 10:49Speaker 7: So yes we did.
- 10:50Speaker 4: Not only did they say it was a cover up,
- 10:53Speaker 4: but it may have actually been criminal, and that is
- 10:55Speaker 4: exactly why they have references to the Department of Justice.
- 10:58Speaker 4: So if you think that dough and still digging, don't
- 11:01Speaker 4: worry they are in fact. The Doge team also says
- 11:04Speaker 4: there was a four billion dollar COVID fund in the
- 11:07Speaker 4: Department of Education that had no receipts required, so government
- 11:12Speaker 4: employees could draw down on it and use the money
- 11:16Speaker 4: for parties and to rent out venues like Caesar's Palace.
- 11:20Speaker 4: Another example of why so many are fighting against Donald
- 11:24Speaker 4: Trump in the deep state and doing everything they can
- 11:27Speaker 4: to get rid of their receipts, and thank goodness, Elon
- 11:30Speaker 4: Muskin Doge keeps fighting them.
