- 1:43Speaker 1: haven't got to turn out to turn turn the water
- 1:47Speaker 1: the water got come Come on your bad h I
- 2:02Speaker 1: shall will a good morning everybody. You're listening to the voice,
- 2:06Speaker 1: Come on dig me now, one and only Steve Harley
- 2:09Speaker 1: got a radio show. Here we go today. I think
- 2:14Speaker 1: I have something for a lot of people today, at
- 2:17Speaker 1: least I hope I do. And this is about on
- 2:21Speaker 1: your journey, And this is about something that happens to
- 2:25Speaker 1: us all. I mean, what happens to all of us
- 2:30Speaker 1: from time to time when we get discouraged, What happens
- 2:35Speaker 1: to all of us when we feel like quitting, What
- 2:39Speaker 1: happens to all of us when we have that turn
- 2:42Speaker 1: back moment, What happens to all of us when it
- 2:46Speaker 1: don't seem like it's gonna pan out. Because I want
- 2:50Speaker 1: you to understand something that everyone, every single living soul,
- 2:55Speaker 1: has those thoughts about something at some point in their life.
- 3:02Speaker 1: I mean, you know, look, I've oftentimes been discouraged about
- 3:06Speaker 1: things not happening as fast as I like them. All
- 3:11Speaker 1: things don't pan out the way I would like for
- 3:14Speaker 1: them to have panned out. I mean, there's so many
- 3:17Speaker 1: ways to get discouraged. But but what my encouragement to
- 3:24Speaker 1: you is when discouragement comes is understand this. It is
- 3:31Speaker 1: a part of the growth process. It is a test.
- 3:38Speaker 1: It is a test of your faith. How bad you
- 3:43Speaker 1: want it, do you really believes that's all faith is.
- 3:50Speaker 1: It's simply and I've said this how many times. Faith
- 3:54Speaker 1: is to belief in things that you cannot see. So
- 3:57Speaker 1: when discouragement comes, setbacks come, it is a test of
- 4:02Speaker 1: your faith. At least it's been that way for me.
- 4:05Speaker 1: Now other people can explain it another way. I'm not
- 4:08Speaker 1: other people. I can only give it to you the
- 4:10Speaker 1: way it has come to me and throughout my life,
- 4:12Speaker 1: and man on man on man. Discouragement sometimes it's tough
- 4:17Speaker 1: to deal with because it seems at times when you
- 4:22Speaker 1: are discouraged that is so absolute that this means the end,
- 4:30Speaker 1: and if you allow it to set in, it can
- 4:34Speaker 1: be just that the end of you. When Milly Milly.
- 4:39Speaker 1: It was a test, that's all it is. But the
- 4:42Speaker 1: majority of people that I know who are not successful
- 4:47Speaker 1: or who have told me the story of how they
- 4:49Speaker 1: gave up, it was because at a moment of discouragement
- 4:55Speaker 1: that they allowed it to set in and it became
- 4:59Speaker 1: so engulfing that it became the reason why you shouldn't finish.
- 5:04Speaker 1: And then they started justifying it with hither one that
- 5:07Speaker 1: I hate to hear. Well, if if it's God's will,
- 5:10Speaker 1: excuse me. If it's God's will that you fail. If
- 5:16Speaker 1: it's God's will that you're not successful. If it's God's
- 5:22Speaker 1: will that you lay down and give up, it's God's
- 5:26Speaker 1: will that you allow yourself to amount to to not
- 5:30Speaker 1: reach your potential, that's God's will. That's not the God
- 5:35Speaker 1: I know. That's not the God I served. That's not
- 5:39Speaker 1: the God I've read about. That's not the God I
- 5:42Speaker 1: believe in. I'm sorry. I just my mother always taught
- 5:46Speaker 1: me something that he didn't bring me this far to
- 5:48Speaker 1: leave me. I just don't believe that, not for a second.
- 5:54Speaker 1: Now have I convinced myself or some things, yep, Have
- 5:59Speaker 1: I allow the devil to come into the picture and
- 6:02Speaker 1: paint a different one from it. Yep, yep, I've done
- 6:05Speaker 1: all of that, But you can't blame that on God. Now,
- 6:09Speaker 1: come on, So when discouragement comes, try to look at
- 6:17Speaker 1: it if you can, as a test of your faith,
- 6:21Speaker 1: and you merely have to pass the test. It could
- 6:25Speaker 1: be for a day, a half a day, a few hours,
- 6:27Speaker 1: a week, a few weeks, it don't matter. Don't nobody
- 6:30Speaker 1: know how long the test period is. Your job is
- 6:33Speaker 1: to keep the faith and keep moving. Keep the faith
- 6:38Speaker 1: and keep moving, keep working, keep believing, keep hope alive.
- 6:44Speaker 1: That's your job. If you do that, that's how you
- 6:48Speaker 1: pass the test. It could be over tomorrow, it could
- 6:51Speaker 1: be over in two weeks, it could be over in
- 6:52Speaker 1: a month. You don't know. But all you got to
- 6:55Speaker 1: do is wake up and keep the faith and fight
- 6:58Speaker 1: the discouraging feelings. And how do you do that? Steve?
- 7:01Speaker 1: Now here we go. This is the part I know
- 7:03Speaker 1: about for show because how many times I've had to
- 7:07Speaker 1: fight off discouragement in order to get to where God
- 7:11Speaker 1: wanted me to be. What do you do when you
- 7:15Speaker 1: become discouraged? Well, I think of the outcome when I
- 7:21Speaker 1: get discouraged about a task. I think about the outcome, Man,
- 7:25Speaker 1: what would it be like if I were to complete
- 7:28Speaker 1: the task? What would it be like? Man? What would
- 7:31Speaker 1: the outcome be for me if I hung on in there?
- 7:34Speaker 1: If I didn't give up, if I if I imagine,
- 7:40Speaker 1: I imagine, if I don't quit, I imagine if I
- 7:43Speaker 1: don't give up. What would it be like? Man? Suppose
- 7:48Speaker 1: everything I'm hoping for comes true. But if I don't
- 7:52Speaker 1: quit and give up, that might just be the case.
- 7:55Speaker 1: I start talking to myself like that, I think of
- 8:00Speaker 1: what the upside is. What's the upside to stay in
- 8:04Speaker 1: with it? You see, all this is the same thing.
- 8:06Speaker 1: I'm just giving you different ways to look at it.
- 8:09Speaker 1: I'm saying the exact same thing over and over. But
- 8:11Speaker 1: I'm just trying to find the switch that connects in
- 8:14Speaker 1: your mind where you can say, Okay, man, I'm gonna
- 8:17Speaker 1: hang in there. Because if you think of the outcome
- 8:20Speaker 1: and the outcome is appealing to you, if you imagine
- 8:23Speaker 1: what it would be like if you don't give up
- 8:26Speaker 1: or you don't quit, you if you think only of
- 8:30Speaker 1: what the upside is to stay in with it? And
- 8:34Speaker 1: then I go, where can this lead to? If I
- 8:38Speaker 1: stay with it? Man? And the outcome comes true. What
- 8:41Speaker 1: else could that lead me to? Because I mean, there's
- 8:45Speaker 1: always more to it. So where else could this lead
- 8:49Speaker 1: me to? What are the possibilities? Man? What are the
- 8:54Speaker 1: limitless possibilities? What could God possibly have in store for me?
- 9:00Speaker 1: If I just hang in there? If I passed this
- 9:02Speaker 1: test of faith? If I just passed this test, now,
- 9:06Speaker 1: it ain't gonna be the only one. But you gotta
- 9:08Speaker 1: get past this one. No, then you're gonna hit a
- 9:11Speaker 1: smooth plane. Then it's gonna be another one. It's gonna
- 9:14Speaker 1: be another one. Life ain't none but a series of tests. Man. Man,
- 9:20Speaker 1: when you're thinking about giving up, when you discourage, think
- 9:24Speaker 1: of the outcome. Imagine what it would be like if
- 9:27Speaker 1: you don't quit, if you don't give up, what's the
- 9:30Speaker 1: upside to stay in with it? Where can this all
- 9:33Speaker 1: lead to? What? What can this get you too? If
- 9:37Speaker 1: you do this and you get to where you think
- 9:40Speaker 1: you want to be, Oh my god, what's after that?
- 9:43Speaker 1: What are the limitless and endless possibilities of holding on
- 9:48Speaker 1: to your faith? What could really be out there for me? Man?
- 9:52Speaker 1: If I just passed this test, you gotta talk yourself
- 9:55Speaker 1: into hanging in there. You're listening tow. Ladies and gentlemen,
- 10:03Speaker 1: put your hands together for the one and only the
- 10:07Speaker 1: host of the most epic epic versus of all time.
- 10:13Speaker 1: One of the greatest moments I've ever had, man O,
- 10:16Speaker 1: man o man to sit with the legends Earth Winding
- 10:20Speaker 1: five and that damn Ronald Eyes and his brother Man
- 10:25Speaker 1: one of the great moments I've ever had in my life.
- 10:27Speaker 1: And I got that moment, I must tell you all
- 10:30Speaker 1: because of this thing called Grace. Because it wasn't nothing
- 10:33Speaker 1: I planned. It wasn't nothing I could set up. It's
- 10:37Speaker 1: just something I throughout in the air, I said when
- 10:39Speaker 1: I first started off with it. Man ought to gone
- 10:41Speaker 1: down now, but God got this thing called Grace that
- 10:47Speaker 1: he just passes out and Lord ha mercy. Next thing
- 10:51Speaker 1: you know, I was sitting there between two of my well,
- 10:55Speaker 1: my all time favorite band ever formed Earth Winding five
- 11:00Speaker 1: and then my longtime dear friend at Dan Ron Abby Boy.

- 12:00Speaker 1: I was yeah, well, you know, I've had a lot
- 12:04Speaker 1: of time to really think about it, and I've heard
- 12:06Speaker 1: a lot of comments from people now right and grown people, man,
- 12:12Speaker 1: which just they wanted more stories. Young people don't get
- 12:16Speaker 1: a damn about no stories because they have the attention
- 12:19Speaker 1: span of a gnat. So you know, of course, when
- 12:23Speaker 1: they go to clubs now, if you go to a
- 12:24Speaker 1: club now, they just play song that song, that song,
- 12:27Speaker 1: that song, that song. You know that there's no slow music,
- 12:32Speaker 1: you know, So that that was not what they wanted.
- 12:36Speaker 1: But we thought it would be great to enlighten them
- 12:39Speaker 1: and to give them the history and how things came about.
- 12:41Speaker 1: But man, overall, man, it was just such a such
- 12:45Speaker 1: a great experience for me. Man, I just I probably
- 12:48Speaker 1: haven't I haven't felt that good about doing something on stage.

- 13:01Speaker 1: And it wasn't you know, I mean you know, And
- 13:03Speaker 1: it wasn't performing. It was just I was with people
- 13:06Speaker 1: that I knew really really well. We have history and
- 13:10Speaker 1: we was just sitting there. Man. It was so cool.
- 13:13Speaker 1: And then People magazine has a new Sexiest Man Alive

- 14:04Speaker 1: no build up there nothing. My cousin is staying with
- 14:07Speaker 1: me because he cheated on his wife and she put
- 14:10Speaker 1: him out. He is still cheating on his wife and
- 14:13Speaker 1: his side pieces at my house every night. The other night,
- 14:16Speaker 1: he and his side piece were at my house and
- 14:18Speaker 1: his wife popped up. His side piece came into my
- 14:21Speaker 1: room to hide out. She heard him begging his wife
- 14:25Speaker 1: to let him come home, and he was telling her
- 14:28Speaker 1: he loved her. The side piece got very upset and
- 14:31Speaker 1: started coming on to me. So we had sex. I'm
- 14:35Speaker 1: gonna do what you gotta do, what you gotta do.
- 14:38Speaker 1: His wife left and he walked in on us. He's
- 14:41Speaker 1: furious at me. Was I wrong or not? Well, yeah,
- 14:45Speaker 1: you was wrong. You was wrong. But come on, come on,
- 14:51Speaker 1: I look, man, I don't know how, I don't know
- 14:56Speaker 1: what he man is youthful exactly. She into your rule. See,

- 15:30Speaker 1: you playing, you can't get mad. Dog. You introduced cheating
- 15:34Speaker 1: into the game, So you cheating with a chick on
- 15:38Speaker 1: your chick, But then your chick is not married. It
- 15:42Speaker 1: is cheating on you with somebody else. What's wrong? Everybody?
- 15:48Speaker 1: Everybody cheating? Is that the cousins at That's another thing.
- 15:55Speaker 1: But the here you walking in here in my house,
- 15:57Speaker 1: folks talking to me? You getting mad at me? And
- 16:00Speaker 1: got put out of one house as shelter. So did
- 16:06Speaker 1: he forget the side piece was there when he was
- 16:08Speaker 1: begging his wife? No, he didn't forget. He forge it
- 16:12Speaker 1: what he had to do. He let the side piece
- 16:14Speaker 1: going at a hide out because he didn't want the
- 16:16Speaker 1: wife to know that the side piece was on the
- 16:18Speaker 1: right right. See. No, his cousin took one for the team. Hello,
- 16:23Speaker 1: and I mean really took one for the team. She
- 16:27Speaker 1: started coming on to them, so they had sacked. I mean,
- 16:29Speaker 1: what's wrong with that? What you want me to do?
- 16:35Speaker 1: All right? Uh? Marlina and Tampa says, I've got five
- 16:39Speaker 1: children from my first marriage, and I've been dating a
- 16:41Speaker 1: new guy for two months, so I thought it was
- 16:44Speaker 1: time to discuss my children with him. Out of the
- 16:47Speaker 1: five children, three of them are my step children, but
- 16:49Speaker 1: I helped raise them and consider them to be my
- 16:52Speaker 1: children too. My new man said, it's crazy that I'm
- 16:55Speaker 1: still in the step kids' lives four years after the divorce.
- 16:59Speaker 1: He said, I should because only on my own children.
- 17:02Speaker 1: Does this sound crazy to you? As hale as hale dog,
- 17:08Speaker 1: you cain't been dating two months and then started telling
- 17:12Speaker 1: a woman who she need to be loving on and
- 17:14Speaker 1: they children? Yeah, if she removed herself from them children's lives?
- 17:19Speaker 1: What happened to the children? Right? And pardon? Can I

- 17:33Speaker 1: he has a child from a previous marriage. He's a
- 17:35Speaker 1: great dad and he's respectful to his ex wife. A
- 17:39Speaker 1: few days ago, he came in from work and said, hey,
- 17:42Speaker 1: Sheila and leaned over to kiss me. His ex wife's
- 17:47Speaker 1: name is Sheila. He swears it happened because he was
- 17:51Speaker 1: exhausted and wasn't thinking clearly. Should I do some research
- 17:54Speaker 1: on him and Sheila? Or was this really an honest mistake?
- 17:59Speaker 1: Could be? Yeah, you ever did that? You ain't winning
- 18:05Speaker 1: there and done little stuff like that? You know? Yet
- 18:08Speaker 1: you think we're gonna talk about this so you're saying,
- 18:15Speaker 1: if you have, we'll never know. Huh, the nine million
- 18:20Speaker 1: listeners ain't Hey Sheila, Hey Sheila, Sheila? Who you call it? Sheila?
- 18:38Speaker 1: That's a rough one right there, and kissed her on
- 18:40Speaker 1: the cheek, but follow through with yeah. I mean, I mean,
- 18:52Speaker 1: I mean Denise La Faith. That's her name, La Faith.
- 18:57Speaker 1: You can't get Sheila mixed up with the faith at all.
- 19:02Speaker 1: It ain't an s in there. It ain't is at
- 19:06Speaker 1: the end. Yeah, is it the faith on the faith,
- 19:10Speaker 1: the faith? It ain't. It ain't Sheila. If your ex
- 19:19Speaker 1: wife name was trade trade, Heyl, shame the faith. I
- 19:24Speaker 1: mean that's close to time. What should she do? Steve, No, No,
- 19:35Speaker 1: I think it should. I think it could be an
- 19:37Speaker 1: honest mistake, especially if he'd been with her for a
- 19:40Speaker 1: long time. Huh. All right. Celo tiff And Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, says,
- 19:44Speaker 1: I'm thirty nine. My boyfriend is ten years older than
- 19:47Speaker 1: I am. I'm concerned about his need to pamper himself

- 19:53Speaker 1: oils for his bath. He takes a thirty minute bubble
- 19:56Speaker 1: bath nightly, applies the face mask three nights a week.
- 19:59Speaker 1: And gets massed the cures and pedicures often. He always

- 22:42Speaker 1: happen to go on the side of my house and

- 22:50Speaker 1: Did you go then and you do number one on
- 22:52Speaker 1: the side of my house? Well, what I'm saying is
- 22:55Speaker 1: that my wife tells me that when you were there
- 22:59Speaker 1: that you you went on the side. She was looking
- 23:01Speaker 1: out the windows. She said that when you was there
- 23:03Speaker 1: that you and went and used the band room on
- 23:07Speaker 1: the side whole hole. Wait a minute, I did what
- 23:11Speaker 1: not to what right? You? You? You? You and you
- 23:16Speaker 1: did number one over on the side of the house.

- 23:42Speaker 1: once a month. Again, I said, I apologize, I understand
- 23:45Speaker 1: all that, but you know what, I can't accept no
- 23:47Speaker 1: apologies like that. When I got a man this foot
- 23:49Speaker 1: got on the side of my house and then talk, Man,
- 23:52Speaker 1: I'm apologizing on you and you coming off on me
- 23:55Speaker 1: like that. You didn't put you all the side of

- 24:44Speaker 1: it's not being professional if there's something that I did,
- 24:46Speaker 1: that's that water running through me? Right? Okay, But you don't.
- 24:49Speaker 1: You don't at no other man's house, and you at
- 24:52Speaker 1: my house and my wife's sitting there looking at you
- 24:54Speaker 1: out to wonder. I got a problem with that. What
- 24:57Speaker 1: you need to come with your wife looking at me?
- 25:00Speaker 1: If that's what I did, You know what you need
- 25:03Speaker 1: to be at home and give with something to look
- 25:06Speaker 1: at other than looking at me. You don't tell me
- 25:08Speaker 1: what I need to do about my wife. Now, you
- 25:11Speaker 1: don't go to another man. Man, you know what I'm
- 25:14Speaker 1: about to lose it, all right, you're gonna you're gonna

- 25:38Speaker 1: and I bet you knew that them blinds was open. Yo. Man, Nah,
- 25:44Speaker 1: it isn't be real upfit with these accusations. All right. Now,
- 25:48Speaker 1: look you had, you had what it street. Now you are,
- 25:52Speaker 1: you know where I'm at. I will show you what

- 25:59Speaker 1: I know exactly what said you that y'ast on that
- 26:01Speaker 1: on that that's gone gone off stream. I'm gonna come
- 26:05Speaker 1: over them and I hold that for you. I got
- 26:08Speaker 1: something for you. Will you're taking me. This was gonna
- 26:11Speaker 1: my prefensionism, and I'm gonna come show you what being
- 26:14Speaker 1: it was about. Look, man, what you don't do is
- 26:18Speaker 1: at another man house, and that's what you did, and
- 26:20Speaker 1: you know it ain't called for now. You could have
- 26:22Speaker 1: held that apologize, Man, I had to go. I told
- 26:25Speaker 1: you I drink a lot of fluids in this heat. Man,
- 26:29Speaker 1: what else do you want me to do? I want
- 26:31Speaker 1: you to keep your flui until you get to the
- 26:33Speaker 1: service station down the street. But not in my backyard
- 26:36Speaker 1: side of the house and my wife looking out the window. Man,
- 26:39Speaker 1: you if what you're talking about, if I did I
- 26:41Speaker 1: apologize to cantccepting in the hell with it? Look at
- 26:45Speaker 1: you're gonna me off and make me do something up
- 26:48Speaker 1: in the I'm telling you not, man, I don't told you.
- 26:50Speaker 1: I don't apologize you and I would come on that kicking. Okay,
- 26:54Speaker 1: you take your dude. What Let me tell you something.
- 26:57Speaker 1: Kick your young because it is from the while your wife,

- 28:27Speaker 1: you know the stew and there you have it, ladies
- 28:33Speaker 1: and gentlemen, there you have it. Oh my god, what
- 28:38Speaker 1: im talking crazy? To the the maintenance play too much? Oh, man, Hey,

- 29:09Speaker 1: prink I'd tell what's going on? Okay? All right, thinking nephew,
- 29:12Speaker 1: coming up at the top of the hour, we'll have
- 29:14Speaker 1: some entertainment and national news for you right after this
- 29:17Speaker 1: You're listening show. Mariah Carey gave frontline workers a taste
- 29:25Speaker 1: of her famous vocal range by letting out her cute,
- 29:28Speaker 1: very cute, short high note when getting her first shot
- 29:31Speaker 1: of the COVID vaccine. Mimi, who admitted she was a
- 29:35Speaker 1: little nervous, tweeted a video of herself talking through the
- 29:38Speaker 1: entire process, even though she had a cute note when
- 29:42Speaker 1: when the needle went in, she ended up saying it
- 29:44Speaker 1: wasn't as bad as she expected. She said. She told
- 29:47Speaker 1: her followers here, we are hoping for the best, encouraging
- 29:51Speaker 1: you guys to do it when you can. So there
- 29:53Speaker 1: you go. She went like, let's go. Yeah, U I
- 30:00Speaker 1: get so, I'm excited. Okay, yeah, okay, We're gonna be
- 30:05Speaker 1: fully vaccinated. Uh and other trending entertainment news. We are
- 30:12Speaker 1: still in shock. As we previously reported on yesterday, actor
- 30:17Speaker 1: reggae Jean Paige is leaving Bridgerton. Of course, that's a
- 30:22Speaker 1: hit Netflix series. According to Variety, Reggae page says, um, Well,
- 30:30Speaker 1: he plays the Duke of Hastings Simon, and he said
- 30:33Speaker 1: the only he only signed on for one season. Okay,
- 30:37Speaker 1: he only signed on for one season. No one knew that,
- 30:40Speaker 1: of course. He went on to say that the show
- 30:44Speaker 1: felt like a limited series to him. Well, fans who
- 30:47Speaker 1: read the romance, who read romance novels, and a lot
- 30:50Speaker 1: of fans do. They knew that the Duke was leaving
- 30:53Speaker 1: the show, but the viewers who watched the show certainly
- 30:56Speaker 1: expected the Duke to come back since at the end
- 30:59Speaker 1: of the season he was having a baby with his
- 31:02Speaker 1: wife Daphanie. A waste of time, huh. I don't see
- 31:10Speaker 1: myself tuning it in. Where's he going though? I don't know? Yeah,
- 31:15Speaker 1: I mean he's every time lights kids get on top.
- 31:18Speaker 1: This is what happened any time we get there. This
- 31:20Speaker 1: is what happened. Case y'all stupid, No, but listen to me,
- 31:30Speaker 1: Quinn and go do what Yeah, I mean they were
- 31:35Speaker 1: saying to I was gonna ask you this. They were
- 31:38Speaker 1: saying that when you do these subscription type series streaming service,
- 31:43Speaker 1: it's different from network television. The deals are different. I
- 31:47Speaker 1: got that, that is true. They are different deals. But
- 31:52Speaker 1: let me say this, because it's not like network television
- 31:56Speaker 1: because it's a script subscription base things, right, right, So
- 32:00Speaker 1: movies are treated differently also, And now I don't know
- 32:03Speaker 1: exactly why it is. I think it's plus twenty percent
- 32:07Speaker 1: or something like that to do a Netflix movie, which
- 32:09Speaker 1: is good money. But when you quit a series and
- 32:15Speaker 1: you're an actor, you're quitting to go do what you better.
- 32:23Speaker 1: Maybe you got some skip, going to read for more parts,
- 32:28Speaker 1: stack your gigs, you can do that and other things. Yeah,
- 32:33Speaker 1: but it's so popular. I'm just so surprised that he's leaving.
- 32:37Speaker 1: Put that lace puffect ass shirt on, that tight ass
- 32:41Speaker 1: then and going back, and that man had his damn baby.
- 32:46Speaker 1: Only shoot that white dude, and let's go through all
- 32:55Speaker 1: this with your uglass daddy. Now, show all right, we
- 33:02Speaker 1: get what. We gotta get to the headline. Come on, Steve,
- 33:08Speaker 1: I'm telling you right now, you look nothing like you.
- 33:12Speaker 1: We gotta get to the headline. Let's go, ladies and gentlemen,
- 33:14Speaker 1: missay and true, Okay, thank you very much. And this
- 33:17Speaker 1: is answered with the news. Let's get to the seriousness.
- 33:19Speaker 1: And here it still goes. Testimony continued yesterday and the
- 33:23Speaker 1: Derek Chauvin murder trial prosecutor his first question the doctor
- 33:27Speaker 1: who declared George Floyd did that in an effort to
- 33:30Speaker 1: counter Derek Chauvin's expected argument that mister Floyd died of
- 33:33Speaker 1: a heart attack brought him by drug overdose and ostrangulation.
- 33:35Speaker 1: But the doctor, Bradford Langonfeld, said there was no evidence
- 33:39Speaker 1: of any heart attack. There was no report that, for example,
- 33:43Speaker 1: the patient complained of chest pain, or was clutching his
- 33:46Speaker 1: chest at any point um or having any other symptoms
- 33:51Speaker 1: to suggest a heart attack. That information was absent, and
- 33:54Speaker 1: doctor Langonfelt added that George Floyd was brought to him
- 33:56Speaker 1: in cardiac arrest with quote pulseless electric activity indicating a
- 34:01Speaker 1: lack of oxygen. In other words, he says a lack
- 34:03Speaker 1: of oxygen is what made George Floyd's heart stop. Derek
- 34:08Speaker 1: Chowen's other excuses expected to be that he was only
- 34:10Speaker 1: doing what he was trained to do. However, the man
- 34:13Speaker 1: who fired Chauvin and his three co defendants after seeing
- 34:16Speaker 1: that video is police Chief of Medaria Rodondo, who testified
- 34:20Speaker 1: yesterday that Chauvin and the others who actually doing the
- 34:22Speaker 1: opposite of what they were taught. When we get the
- 34:24Speaker 1: call from our communities, it may not often be their
- 34:27Speaker 1: best day and they may be experiencing something that is
- 34:30Speaker 1: very traumatic, but we're going to respond. But we have
- 34:34Speaker 1: to take that into consideration because we may be the
- 34:38Speaker 1: first and last time they have an interaction with the
- 34:40Speaker 1: Minneapolis police officer, and so we have to make account.
- 34:43Speaker 1: It matters, by the way, a Chief Rodondo, in a
- 34:46Speaker 1: statement last summer, described George Floyd's death as a murder,
- 34:50Speaker 1: not a lack of training. Meanwhile, the other officers charging
- 34:53Speaker 1: Floyd's death are expected to stand trial sometime this summer.
- 34:56Speaker 1: Hunters of fans joined family members of DMX outside and
- 34:59Speaker 1: up State New York hospital last night as part of
- 35:02Speaker 1: a prayer vigil for him. DMX, whose legal name is
- 35:05Speaker 1: Earl Simmons, has been on life support Since last Friday,
- 35:09Speaker 1: judicial watch groups say that a lot of Trump supporters
- 35:12Speaker 1: who broke into the US capital in January sixth will
- 35:14Speaker 1: not be facing any serious jail time because of their actions.
- 35:17Speaker 1: They say a little over a quarter of the two
- 35:19Speaker 1: hundred and thirty or so defendants formally and publicly charged
- 35:22Speaker 1: so far face only misdemeanor trust person charges that doesn't
- 35:26Speaker 1: carry any kind of harsh sentence. They say that recently
- 35:28Speaker 1: all the judges, defense attorneys, and prosecutors have all indicated
- 35:32Speaker 1: that they do not expect most of these riders to
- 35:34Speaker 1: be legally lumped in with those they describe as the
- 35:37Speaker 1: more sinister suspects. US Preme Court to miss the Lower
- 35:41Speaker 1: Court to a ruling that found that Donald Trump violated
- 35:43Speaker 1: the First Amendment rights of the people he blocked on
- 35:46Speaker 1: Twitter when he was president. The High Court says he's
- 35:48Speaker 1: not president anymore. He's been banned from Twitter. So the
- 35:50Speaker 1: case is mood and as girl Scout cookie time, we've
- 35:53Speaker 1: already got a winner, a little girl from Wassall, Wisconsin,
- 35:55Speaker 1: who sold a whopping six hundred and seventy three boxes.
- 36:01Speaker 1: I mean that's a lot of samoas and thin mints.
- 36:03Speaker 1: Kuque is now back to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 36:06Speaker 1: You're listening to this Dave Harvey Morning Show. All right,
- 36:10Speaker 1: some sad news still friends, family fans turned out on
- 36:15Speaker 1: Monday to show support to iconic legendary rapper DMX. Hundreds
- 36:21Speaker 1: showed up to the prayer vigil outside the White Plains
- 36:24Speaker 1: Hospital in New York City where in New York. Among
- 36:28Speaker 1: those in attendance where DMX was Beyonce Desiree and their
- 36:31Speaker 1: son Exodus. While many gathered outside the building, workers show
- 36:35Speaker 1: their support from inside the medical facility, throwing up the
- 36:39Speaker 1: X sign. This is the third tribute that has taken
- 36:42Speaker 1: place in the past couple of days. On Sunday afternoon,
- 36:46Speaker 1: members of the Rough Riders motorcycle crew rolled up to
- 36:48Speaker 1: the hospital to show love. On Sunday, hospital staff members
- 36:52Speaker 1: held their own vigil. His family flew in over the weekend.
- 36:56Speaker 1: On Monday, his children were allowed in to see him
- 37:00Speaker 1: one by one. XS in critical critical condition right now
- 37:04Speaker 1: with with limited brain activity in what is being called
- 37:08Speaker 1: a vegetative state. He's being treated in the hospital's intensive
- 37:13Speaker 1: care unit. We gotta pray harder, yes we do. Yeah,
- 37:19Speaker 1: this is so sad for him. Steva No Swiss Beats.
- 37:23Speaker 1: They are very verse. They are like brothers. I mean,
- 37:27Speaker 1: Swiss and X were labelmates, they were friends. So I
- 37:30Speaker 1: know that when you saw him on Sunday, when you
- 37:33Speaker 1: did the versus battle and you started the battle off
- 37:35Speaker 1: asking for everyone to pray. Yeah, that conversation I had
- 37:39Speaker 1: with Swiss about it. Swiss wasn't there at Beat Switches
- 37:43Speaker 1: swisses uh somewhere else. And so he called me and
- 37:47Speaker 1: we talked about it. A great lives and um he
- 37:51Speaker 1: was saying that that that is not true that he
- 37:53Speaker 1: is still on life support. Yeah he is, yeah, you know,
- 37:56Speaker 1: and his lawyer released a statement that wasn't true. But
- 38:00Speaker 1: he is and does need your prayers man very much so,
- 38:04Speaker 1: and you know because for he he well, I don't
- 38:11Speaker 1: I don't want to. I don't want don't. I don't
- 38:12Speaker 1: want to get into what he told me. But we
- 38:14Speaker 1: we just need to pray for the brother. Yes, yes, yeah,
- 38:19Speaker 1: I mean you know Eminem Yeah yeah, Iced Tea Ice
- 38:23Speaker 1: cro you know, everybody in the hip hop community, Missy Elliott, everyone,
- 38:30Speaker 1: they're all turning their prayers. Yeah. They call him the dog, Yeah,
- 38:35Speaker 1: praying prayer wars I know, Yeah, I love his boys,
- 38:45Speaker 1: ser what'd you say, college man? We had the baby
- 38:49Speaker 1: don't in there? Yes, you better talk about PB. I
- 38:54Speaker 1: love some d Max. Yes, yeah, all right, coming up
- 38:58Speaker 1: in thirty four minutes after the hour, we'll have more
- 39:01Speaker 1: of the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Right after this. You're
- 39:04Speaker 1: listening Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right? So you know Apion, Crocketts, Spice, Adams,
- 39:11Speaker 1: and Godfrey the comedian. This is just funny, that's fun
- 39:16Speaker 1: laughing did a versus comedy parody Steve featuring Apion as Verdin, Spice,
- 39:24Speaker 1: Adams as Ron Eisley and Godfrey? Who did you, Steve? Oh?
- 39:30Speaker 1: I need to I ain't heard this? Oh mother, this
- 39:32Speaker 1: is funny. Take a listen. I'm gonna tell y'all right now.

- 39:49Speaker 1: time with your pretty half. I'm gonna tell you right now.
- 39:53Speaker 1: Whoa hey, I ain't never and I don't watch a
- 39:57Speaker 1: lot of verses, don't watch a lot, And I'm gonna
- 40:00Speaker 1: tell you all the verses is trash. And I said,

- 40:15Speaker 1: And I said, I got the hostess. I got the hostess.
- 40:18Speaker 1: I'll be there if you ain't gonna let Steve Harvey
- 40:20Speaker 1: host this man, this old school Steven did how you
- 40:29Speaker 1: look at him a bath? I don't think he likes that.
- 40:32Speaker 1: I don't think look, you're not. Oh, I saw the
- 40:41Speaker 1: whole thing. Yeah, oh you said, right, so really you're
- 40:45Speaker 1: honest opinion? You know that was hilarious. You laugh and
- 40:53Speaker 1: invitation the sincerest form of flattery, Steve. That's the problem
- 40:57Speaker 1: to him and Kenan, I love you. Yeah, yeah, it
- 41:06Speaker 1: was funny. Spice Adams is a bro. I thought you
- 41:12Speaker 1: meant a black man at first. We know what I thought.
- 41:18Speaker 1: I saw a picture him, so man, huh, I like
- 41:22Speaker 1: Monica say, he is of Eternity Brothers. Yeah, so that
- 41:27Speaker 1: was good. I saw the fast they did that, man
- 41:33Speaker 1: like right then. Yeah, it was quick. Timberland and Swiss
- 41:36Speaker 1: Beats commented about the video, saying, those guys are so talented,
- 41:40Speaker 1: it's like Versus had its own Saturday Night Live right there,
- 41:46Speaker 1: ready to go? Ready, Yeah, it was funny. Though, Yeah,
- 41:51Speaker 1: I was watching um uh Swiss and uh Timberland. They
- 41:55Speaker 1: do a recap of the verses. I felt there of that.
- 42:00Speaker 1: I saw a little bit of that, and they were
- 42:01Speaker 1: saying one of the things that they liked was that
- 42:04Speaker 1: it was a family a fair you know, the family
- 42:07Speaker 1: was gathered around, people with their moms or odds and
- 42:11Speaker 1: relatives watched it from beginning to end, from beginning to end.
- 42:17Speaker 1: Twenty four my husband and I watched it, and he said,
- 42:21Speaker 1: this was just a moment, just a huge musical epic moment.
- 42:27Speaker 1: It was. I know it. I know it couldn't have
- 42:30Speaker 1: been the biggest one because of the demographics. But for me, though,
- 42:38Speaker 1: I could care less because I know, I know, I know,
- 42:42Speaker 1: I know the moment that it was because the richness
- 42:47Speaker 1: of that history, that history is from everybody from nineteen
- 42:54Speaker 1: sixty to today. Somebody is affected by that music today.
- 42:59Speaker 1: If you ain't know nothing about your music, you was
- 43:01Speaker 1: probably conceived to it. You made that clear on the versus, Yeah,
- 43:08Speaker 1: it was. It was amazing. All those hits, man, oh
- 43:13Speaker 1: have a half hand. Yeah, they you can't even play.
- 43:19Speaker 1: You don't understand. Man, If I would have picked out
- 43:22Speaker 1: they went to fire playlist. We're still be in there,
- 43:26Speaker 1: we know, but people will be talking about this particular
- 43:32Speaker 1: versus for years to come, I'm sure. Yeah. All right.

- 46:08Speaker 1: you have a good picture on your program. And that's
- 46:11Speaker 1: what that's what, that's what we did. That ain't signed
- 46:15Speaker 1: up for nothing like that. Who the hell signed me
- 46:17Speaker 1: up for something like that? I'm quite sure. But we're
- 46:20Speaker 1: trying to schedule where we can come out beginning of
- 46:23Speaker 1: next week so we can get your picture taken next week.
- 46:26Speaker 1: Week after you get picture when I'm dead, you're not
- 46:28Speaker 1: taking no picture of me before that that. That don't
- 46:31Speaker 1: sound right, sir. Don't you want to have a good
- 46:34Speaker 1: picture on your program? So you're not taking the picture
- 46:37Speaker 1: of me for no humor arrangements that I'm not dead yet.
- 46:41Speaker 1: I don't understand that. What the hell is this about?
- 46:43Speaker 1: Nobody who signed me up for it? Then tell me
- 46:45Speaker 1: that much, sir. I don't have the actual person listed
- 46:49Speaker 1: here on who signs you up, but I do have
- 46:51Speaker 1: the number, and you are Darwin, mister Darwin, So I
- 46:55Speaker 1: didn't sign up for that. I'm not taking the picture
- 46:59Speaker 1: you got running around taking pictures of people before they
- 47:02Speaker 1: that just to have a good picture on fail. That's man,
- 47:06Speaker 1: I ain't never heard of no like that, sir. Okay, sir,
- 47:10Speaker 1: are you? I mean we have your address? Here? Are you?
- 47:13Speaker 1: Are you available? No? I'm not available. I'm not available

- 47:19Speaker 1: I'm not even dead yet. I don't. I don't get that.
- 47:22Speaker 1: That that sounds like a bunch of more And I
- 47:25Speaker 1: who the hell gave you my number? That's what I
- 47:26Speaker 1: want to know, sir. I'm not quite sure. But one
- 47:29Speaker 1: thing we have to do is we have to follow
- 47:31Speaker 1: through with our job. So what we're gonna have to
- 47:33Speaker 1: do is we I have to come out there and
- 47:35Speaker 1: take a picture. So I don't want to, you know,
- 47:39Speaker 1: create a problem, but I have to get a picture
- 47:40Speaker 1: of you by next week. Oh it's gonna be problem
- 47:44Speaker 1: because you're not getting no picture me for no funeral arrangement,
- 47:47Speaker 1: mister Darwin. I have to come by your house at
- 47:50Speaker 1: least by Friday at around twelve now, and I'll come
- 47:52Speaker 1: by and get a picture. You ain't coming by my
- 47:55Speaker 1: guy house, no, Frida, youve lie gotta me come over
- 48:00Speaker 1: you to try to get my pitching. I got plenty
- 48:02Speaker 1: of God pitching in my house to put on the
- 48:05Speaker 1: mother funeral program. I'm not taking the kitchen that noon.
- 48:08Speaker 1: I'm claim to be dead. I'm not dead. That's some
- 48:11Speaker 1: more bad. Look you got dead. I don't know who
- 48:15Speaker 1: you worked for, Frank, but you you got the word
- 48:18Speaker 1: our word for l PFC, Sir, I worked for f
- 48:21Speaker 1: PC FCC. Mike, you're not taking no picture me. Don't
- 48:25Speaker 1: come over here, Friday. Come about no guy pissing? Okay,
- 48:29Speaker 1: before you got pistol and you and I hope they
- 48:32Speaker 1: got Joe got pitch your on file. But that's a
- 48:34Speaker 1: stupid you got the company you worked for. I ain't
- 48:37Speaker 1: never heard of nobody taking no picture before they die.
- 48:40Speaker 1: I got millions of pictures in here for that program.
- 48:43Speaker 1: And when I'm growing with them, God care about what
- 48:45Speaker 1: a picture look like? Or who hadn't my gout funeral?
- 48:49Speaker 1: There's a enignant you tell whoever you worked for any
- 48:52Speaker 1: to go find another occupation. That don't make no guy
- 48:55Speaker 1: just you're not coming over here, Friday, buddy. You come
- 48:58Speaker 1: over here if you want to. Okay, Uh, missus Darwin, Yes,
- 49:02Speaker 1: are you familiar with with Glinda? That's my wife? What
- 49:06Speaker 1: what you about to say? Now? I want all I

- 50:07Speaker 1: they had me hot over here. I'm gonna don't tell pleading,
- 50:10Speaker 1: but I'm gonna have me a drink anywhere. I was

- 50:20Speaker 1: a hit, buddy, man, I gotta ask you something, man,
- 50:24Speaker 1: dam and tell me this it. Man, what's the baddest
- 50:26Speaker 1: And I mean the baddest radio show in the land,
- 50:30Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Wick Up Show, Buddy Too. Once he
- 50:42Speaker 1: decided he wasn't taking this picture, he turned up the
- 50:46Speaker 1: custom yoh yeah, he said this some ignorant blank whoever
- 50:56Speaker 1: it is you work for, they need to find another
- 50:58Speaker 1: proficion Yeah, there's plenty of it. When I'm dead, I'm
- 51:03Speaker 1: gonna give a blank what picture you usually? Who have
- 51:06Speaker 1: this blanketed blank feeling to drink? And now I keep it? Stupid? Baby, Yeah,
- 51:16Speaker 1: it's stupid. Will you do that? Furmanham At Alabama April

- 53:01Speaker 1: and more. Please submit your strawberry letter to Steve HARVEYFM
- 53:04Speaker 1: dot com and click submit Strawberry letter, Because what we
- 53:08Speaker 1: could be reading your letter live on the air, just
- 53:12Speaker 1: like we're going to read this one right here, right now.
- 53:15Speaker 1: I'm buggle up, hold on tape. We got it for
- 53:18Speaker 1: you here. It is a strawberry letter, subject how large?
- 53:22Speaker 1: It's too large. Dear Stephen Shirley, I am in a
- 53:26Speaker 1: struggle right now, and I need a little advice for
- 53:28Speaker 1: a big problem. I have a male friend that I've
- 53:31Speaker 1: known since first grade and we're almost forty now. I'm
- 53:35Speaker 1: divorced and dated a lot of men after my divorce.
- 53:38Speaker 1: After a one day recently, I had a revelation that
- 53:42Speaker 1: my soul mate is someone I have known all my life.
- 53:46Speaker 1: My good male friend and I hang out all of
- 53:48Speaker 1: the time, but he's not who I had in mind
- 53:51Speaker 1: if I were to date someone i've known a long time.
- 53:54Speaker 1: He's a tall man, almost six five, with big hands
- 53:59Speaker 1: and feet. He's not overweight, but he's massive in size
- 54:04Speaker 1: compared to me. I'm petite and barely five three, so
- 54:08Speaker 1: he towers over me. He's always well groomed, but handsome.
- 54:13Speaker 1: He is not exclamation mark. So he and I met
- 54:18Speaker 1: up after work for dinner with another male friend of ours.
- 54:21Speaker 1: He paid my tab as usual and said all I
- 54:25Speaker 1: owed him was a hug. He walked me to my
- 54:28Speaker 1: car and I got on my tiptoes like I always
- 54:31Speaker 1: do to give him a hug, But this time he
- 54:35Speaker 1: kissed me. That was a first, and I must have
- 54:39Speaker 1: had too much wine because I started kissing him back.
- 54:42Speaker 1: He picked me up and sat me on my car
- 54:45Speaker 1: and we kissed for a good while. He didn't say
- 54:48Speaker 1: a word. Afterwards, he took me down off my car
- 54:51Speaker 1: and said good night. I was so turned on that
- 54:55Speaker 1: I told him to follow me home at my house.
- 54:59Speaker 1: We kissed some more and then went to my bed.
- 55:02Speaker 1: After a few minutes of us trying to have sex,
- 55:05Speaker 1: we realized it wasn't going to work. This man is
- 55:09Speaker 1: large and in charge in all areas. I was not
- 55:13Speaker 1: ashamed because I've known him forever, and we laughed for
- 55:17Speaker 1: hours about it. He opened up and said he wants
- 55:20Speaker 1: to date me, and I'm all for trying it because
- 55:23Speaker 1: I do love him and I know he loves me.
- 55:26Speaker 1: But it is intimacy out of the question. I will
- 55:30Speaker 1: need to try it before I get too serious with him.
- 55:33Speaker 1: What should I do? Oooh, Okay, I understand your concern,
- 55:42Speaker 1: and this is certainly the opposite of some of the
- 55:44Speaker 1: letters we get, that's for sure. I'm sure many women
- 55:47Speaker 1: would want to be in your shoes right now, but
- 55:50Speaker 1: it's not about them. This is about you. First. I
- 55:53Speaker 1: would tell you to talk to your doctor. Women who
- 55:57Speaker 1: are women are definitely built to um, to carry children
- 56:02Speaker 1: and to push babies out and all that. But it's
- 56:04Speaker 1: always good to be sure about what's going on with
- 56:07Speaker 1: your own body. And I think it was the wine
- 56:12Speaker 1: that took over your body and you went too far
- 56:14Speaker 1: a little bit in this one, uh, and that maybe
- 56:18Speaker 1: that's why you know you were struggling and didn't fit.
- 56:20Speaker 1: You were trying too hard. I think you need to
- 56:22Speaker 1: be sober if you want to be into it with
- 56:25Speaker 1: him and intimate with him. I say, the next time
- 56:29Speaker 1: you guys get together, maybe you should relax and let
- 56:31Speaker 1: things happen organically. Don't try too hard, don't think too hard,
- 56:36Speaker 1: don't try to force it any of that. It's gonna
- 56:39Speaker 1: either fit or won't. I mean, you know that, and
- 56:42Speaker 1: that's how life is, I guess. But you you got
- 56:44Speaker 1: to take your time, relax and not rush into this situation.
- 56:50Speaker 1: And that's all I got to say. I tried to.
- 56:58Speaker 1: Sometimes you can't be gin to Shelley hear people help
- 57:03Speaker 1: now his ladies in the struggle right now. She's been
- 57:05Speaker 1: knowing this man since they was in the first grade.
- 57:09Speaker 1: They thought that she's divorced. She's dated several men. She
- 57:13Speaker 1: had this revelation. Yeah, that her soul mate was somebody
- 57:21Speaker 1: that she's known for a long time, you know, you know, revelation, premonition, feeling, dream,
- 57:29Speaker 1: whatever she had. Well, she got a good male friend
- 57:33Speaker 1: to hang out all the time. And he's not who
- 57:36Speaker 1: she had in mind if I were to date someone.
- 57:42Speaker 1: He's tall man, he's almost six five, with big hands
- 57:46Speaker 1: and big feet. Now I noticed he I this wild
- 57:49Speaker 1: come in. I got big hands and I got big feet.
- 57:55Speaker 1: I understand you've noticed Time is very quiet normally he
- 57:58Speaker 1: got something say on these Why because I got it? Okay,
- 58:02Speaker 1: well I got another. I got the part. I'm gonna
- 58:04Speaker 1: you chime in Time to just sit tight. I found
- 58:07Speaker 1: a part for you. He's not overweight, and he's massive
- 58:12Speaker 1: in size compared to me. Once again, this is not Tommy. Well,
- 58:18Speaker 1: it's just he lived. You know, it's just short. You know,
- 58:21Speaker 1: this man six five. We can't be talking about tom
- 58:24Speaker 1: big hands. You've seen his hands when you do some
- 58:26Speaker 1: live remote. Got a little raccoon hands. You know. I
- 58:32Speaker 1: remember when Time was the baby. He couldn't even hold
- 58:34Speaker 1: an apple, you know. With the letter, I'm just saying
- 58:38Speaker 1: we had to cut the apple slice. He's not overweight,
- 58:42Speaker 1: but he's massive in size compared to me. Well, now,
- 58:47Speaker 1: I'm petite five three. He's well groomed, yeah, which is
- 58:52Speaker 1: a plus. Now he's always well groomed. She's barely five three.
- 58:58Speaker 1: He towers over me, but handsome he is not. Okay,
- 59:03Speaker 1: right there, Tommy, right there, you got something you want
- 59:09Speaker 1: to say? Right there. I'm not gonna be ugly with
- 59:16Speaker 1: you and Julia. But this is the part I'm just
- 59:20Speaker 1: I told you. It's a part in the letter where
- 59:22Speaker 1: you can come in. He paused on time though they
- 59:27Speaker 1: met up after work for dinner. All right, hold that thought,
- 59:31Speaker 1: and right after that it started. We'll be all right.
- 59:34Speaker 1: We're gonna have part two of Steve's response coming up
- 59:37Speaker 1: in twenty three minutes after the hour, subject how large
- 59:42Speaker 1: it is? Too large. We're gonna go to break and
- 59:45Speaker 1: get back into it right after this. You're listening to show.
- 59:50Speaker 1: All right, Come on, Steve, let's recap today's Strawberry Letters.
- 59:53Speaker 1: Subject with youth, which you seem to think it's about Tommy.
- 59:56Speaker 1: Uh just no, no, no, that ain't bout Timmy. He's
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: just a section in him, which is that we'll get
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: to it. Okay, This woman is in the struggle right now.
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: She got a big problem. She got a male friend
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: she knows in the first grade day forty now, and
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: she's divorcing. She's dated a lot of men, but she
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: had to reach a recent premonition that her soul mate
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: was somebody that she's known for a long time. Now,
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: she got a good male friend that hang out all
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: the time. But that ain't somebody she thought it would be.
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: He's tall man, almost six five, big hands, big feet.
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: This is not Tommy. Six five, big hands, big feet.
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: That ain't Tommy. He's not overweight, but he's massive inside.
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: To me that I'm putteth a barely fell. She fired three.
- 1:00:50Speaker 1: They ain't hard to be bigger than her. No, massive inside.
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: It's what I'm doing. I know because she fired three.
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: I'm not talking about that. Yeah, five three, I'm gonna
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: get you that dog. We are, But I got the
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: line for you. This whole type. He tires over me.
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: He's always wear of groom. Here we go, Tommy, but
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: handsome he is not there. You go on any comments.
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: I'm not feel free. I got that. I understand that.
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: That's called denial. Okay, let's move on with the letter.
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: We met up for work for dinner, and another male
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: friend of us. He paid the tab and he said,
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: all you know and was a hug. He walked to
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: the car. I got on my tipper toes like I
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: always do to get him a hug. But this time
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: he kissed me. Now here we go. This was the first.
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: That was the first. And I must add too much
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: wine because I started kissing him back and Shirley, come
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: tell about instant one. No, it wasn't. It wasn't the
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: wine you wanted to. Wine and alcohol make you do
- 1:01:54Speaker 1: exactly what you think. It removes reasoning. The other time,
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: Tommy got something you wanna say right downright. None of
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: sex is where you might and have something say. All right,
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: he picked me up and he set me on my
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: car and we kissed for a good little while. He
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: didn't say a word afterwards. That's that, ain't you, Tommy.
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: You can't pick him and picking him on the well,
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: you know how high you had to have hold of
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: your head to get the mess around and fall back
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: break your back. Don't try that. We told you you
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: had a g I Joe. We wouldn't even let you
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: put that on the kitchen table. Watch watch Tommy, Watch
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: and we kissed for a good while. He didn't say
- 1:02:44Speaker 1: a word. After he took me down off the car
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: and said good night. Player, moved straight, player, move right there.
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: I was so toned on I toned him to follow
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: me home. Now she ain't drank that much, sure, because
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: she drove home. She know the way. So now at
- 1:02:59Speaker 1: my house, we kissed some more and then went to
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: my bed, because just what you do, so you've got
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: him in the bed. After a few minutes of us
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: trying to have sex, we realized it wasn't going to work. Now,
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: let's put the brakes on trying. How you trying to
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: have sex? I don't know about that. This man is
- 1:03:17Speaker 1: larging and charging in all errors. I'm not ashamed because
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: I've known the fairy and we laughed hours about it. Well,
- 1:03:23Speaker 1: how he held in the half sex. We don't have
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: sex with it now I'm golfing here. We're laughing for now.
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: I'm just trying. I'm just asking because they're friends. And
- 1:03:42Speaker 1: it didn't work, so you know, they laughed it off.
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: He opened up and said he wants to date me,
- 1:03:46Speaker 1: and I'm and and I'm off for trying it because
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: I do love him and I know he loves me,
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: but it's intimacy out of the question. My answer right
- 1:03:55Speaker 1: off the bad is probably. But then I have other answers.
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: I will need to try it before I get too
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: serious with him. What should I do? Well, let's think
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: about this. If you say you gotta try, I suggest
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: that you practice all this. We got to practice. We
- 1:04:16Speaker 1: got to treat this sex like a marathon. You don't
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: just go out there and run twenty six and a
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: half mile. Now, you got the warm practice first, you
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: got to learn how to run a mile. You can't
- 1:04:31Speaker 1: do the whole marathon, right. Then you got to learn
- 1:04:35Speaker 1: how to do five miles. You can't do the whole marathon.
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: Then you gotta do a ten k. Yeah, you can't
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: do a whole marathon. Then you gotta try to. Then
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: that you do ten k, then you gotta try to
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: do half a marathon thirteen miles and follow what I'm saying. So,
- 1:04:58Speaker 1: since this man is law, we got to ease into this.
- 1:05:05Speaker 1: We got to and not noticed I've been through. I've
- 1:05:08Speaker 1: been through. It's not your part, Tommy. You had your part.
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: You steal back there trying to put up on the car.
- 1:05:21Speaker 1: I'm at the house. Second, time trying to work out
- 1:05:23Speaker 1: how we're gonna do this. Now, you just got you
- 1:05:26Speaker 1: know it's there's an old saying on how to become successful,
- 1:05:31Speaker 1: and I'm gonna share it with you. And this is
- 1:05:33Speaker 1: all I'm gonna say about this letter. I've given this
- 1:05:36Speaker 1: advice to millions of people. Inch by inch, anything's a cinch. Yeah,
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: have a happy life, enjoy yourself, work it out, all right,
- 1:05:53Speaker 1: post your comments to steal back there trying to put
- 1:05:56Speaker 1: up on that car, and we Instagram and Facebook. Check
- 1:06:01Speaker 1: out the Strawberry Letter podcast on demand. Coming up at
- 1:06:04Speaker 1: forty six minutes after the hour, Junior with Sports Talk.
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: Right after this, you're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right,
- 1:06:12Speaker 1: Junior is here with Sports Talk and its time Junior.
- 1:06:15Speaker 1: What you got? Well, sure that they didn't did it?
- 1:06:19Speaker 1: Championship game last night. Congratulations to the Baylor Bass for
- 1:06:23Speaker 1: taking out good Zaka eighty six to seven. Yeah, they
- 1:06:28Speaker 1: wait out playing, never trailed in the game, never looked back,
- 1:06:34Speaker 1: beautiful fit. Man. I'm glad they beat Gonzaga. I was
- 1:06:39Speaker 1: just tired of handing. Yeah, number one, they're gonna sweep
- 1:06:42Speaker 1: it in undefeated. Well, okay, and I know they hurt,
- 1:06:49Speaker 1: but it was it was I mean, it was a
- 1:06:50Speaker 1: good game. But then them boys, them boys was athletes,
- 1:06:55Speaker 1: bay Man, Baylor wasn't messing around, man. No, man, they played.
- 1:07:01Speaker 1: They played a great game. Gonzaga was undefeated though they
- 1:07:03Speaker 1: was undefeated the season, the entire season, championship game, and
- 1:07:09Speaker 1: it's just it just you just find you want up
- 1:07:11Speaker 1: against a team, man, that was just better, way better.
- 1:07:14Speaker 1: I mean not no noticeably, it was all over that
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: court call yeah, somebody yeah, yeah, so any of these seniors,
- 1:07:28Speaker 1: junior yeah, yeah, the center's yeah, he's going pro. Yeah,
- 1:07:36Speaker 1: bambo he going pro. Unlocking everything, get them NBA contracts.
- 1:07:41Speaker 1: Let's go boy by your mom my house board. Ye. Yeah,
- 1:07:46Speaker 1: that's the next step. Did you see this at Globe
- 1:07:48Speaker 1: Like Park in in Arlington, Texas, the Rangers home of
- 1:07:52Speaker 1: the Rangers. No, you're talking about when the governor. Yeah,
- 1:07:57Speaker 1: he lifted everything, man, And they had thirty eight thousand
- 1:08:00Speaker 1: fans at the game with no social distancing, nothing like it,
- 1:08:04Speaker 1: just a regular they at the park. He lifted it.
- 1:08:07Speaker 1: And then they asked him to throw out the ceremonial
- 1:08:10Speaker 1: first pitch, and he refused because he don't want to
- 1:08:15Speaker 1: have nothing to do with Major League Baseball because they
- 1:08:19Speaker 1: canceled the All Star Jordan as a protest against the voting.
- 1:08:26Speaker 1: And this Republican in Texas, I'm not throwing out the
- 1:08:30Speaker 1: first pitch and no baseball game. I want to have
- 1:08:32Speaker 1: nothing to do with base Wait a minute, man, because
- 1:08:34Speaker 1: they came up with some voter suppression. You want that
- 1:08:38Speaker 1: to go through so bad that you're not even throwing
- 1:08:40Speaker 1: out the first pitch. That's how hatefully these people are, man,
- 1:08:43Speaker 1: And that's how unified. That's how unified they are as
- 1:08:47Speaker 1: the Republican Party one talking against cancel culture. Now y'all
- 1:08:52Speaker 1: mad at baseball? Yeah, get out of here, say nobody
- 1:08:57Speaker 1: board cotting no sport? Right, And it was just the
- 1:09:00Speaker 1: first first pitch. It would like you were playing anyway. Yeah,
- 1:09:04Speaker 1: I don't about to care if he don't throw out
- 1:09:06Speaker 1: to pitch. You taking me an equivalent? Yeah, seriously? All right.
- 1:09:15Speaker 1: Uh we'll be back with more of the Steve Harvey
- 1:09:18Speaker 1: Morning Show right after this. You're listening to Steve Harvey
- 1:09:22Speaker 1: Morning Show. Well, yesterday, at the Derek Chauvin trial in Minneapolis,
- 1:09:28Speaker 1: police Chief Mederia Aridondo testified yesterday that Chauvin's actions of
- 1:09:35Speaker 1: May twenty fifth last year, violated departmental policy and restraint
- 1:09:39Speaker 1: and medical response. Take a listen, when do you believe
- 1:09:44Speaker 1: or do you have a belief as to when this restraint,
- 1:09:47Speaker 1: the restraint on the ground that you viewed, should have
- 1:09:49Speaker 1: stopped once mister Floyd, And this is based on my
- 1:09:54Speaker 1: viewing of the videos. Um, once mister Floyd had stopped
- 1:09:59Speaker 1: resisting and certainly once he was in distress and trying
- 1:10:05Speaker 1: to verbalize that, Um, that that should have stopped to
- 1:10:09Speaker 1: continue to apply that level a force to a person
- 1:10:17Speaker 1: proned out, handcuffed behind their back. Um that that in
- 1:10:23Speaker 1: no way, shape or form is anything that is by policy,
- 1:10:27Speaker 1: is not part of our training and it is certainly
- 1:10:29Speaker 1: not part of our ethics or values. Wow, you go
- 1:10:34Speaker 1: from the police chief. Yes, okay, okay, y'all heard that, right, yes, okay.
- 1:10:41Speaker 1: When they get into Jewry rule, what do they hear exactly?
- 1:10:46Speaker 1: See exactly? That's like, that's enough right there that you
- 1:10:52Speaker 1: would think the video would be enough to promise you.
- 1:10:57Speaker 1: You are so all point by saying, would think that's
- 1:11:00Speaker 1: a But man, I have been convinced in this country
- 1:11:06Speaker 1: and this country has let me down this so many times.
- 1:11:10Speaker 1: This judicial system has let me down so many times.
- 1:11:15Speaker 1: I'm gonna just tell you flat out, man, I do
- 1:11:18Speaker 1: not have faith in the judicial system when it comes
- 1:11:22Speaker 1: to black lives and when it comes police officer, I
- 1:11:27Speaker 1: have no faith in the judicial system. But when you
- 1:11:30Speaker 1: agree though this time, though, guys, when you agree though
- 1:11:33Speaker 1: that the police chief is sessifying for the prosecution, that
- 1:11:37Speaker 1: very rare. Of course, yes, would make this even more unbelievable,
- 1:11:47Speaker 1: right if something were to happen, Yeah, right, if the
- 1:11:50Speaker 1: verdict right, you know, I don't see how they could.
- 1:11:52Speaker 1: I don't really see how because this country. But I'll
- 1:11:56Speaker 1: tell you what, though this, I do believe this should
- 1:12:00Speaker 1: result in a conviction. I think for sure that it
- 1:12:06Speaker 1: will come out to a conviction to get us to
- 1:12:09Speaker 1: man and he's gonna do some serious time. But this
- 1:12:12Speaker 1: not this I do know for a fact. If he's
- 1:12:15Speaker 1: not convicted. And I'm not promoting it or wishing for it,
- 1:12:21Speaker 1: because I hope it don't even come to this. But
- 1:12:24Speaker 1: if they let that man go, it's gonna be a problem.
- 1:12:26Speaker 1: I'm just telling you right now, it's gonna be a problem. Yeah,
- 1:12:29Speaker 1: it's gonna be And we don't want we don't want
- 1:12:32Speaker 1: an accounts on them. Don't want that. Yeah, I think
- 1:12:36Speaker 1: I don't know. Third degree anyway, murder two, yeah, D
- 1:12:43Speaker 1: three right now. Steve Chauvin's defense attorney asked the police
- 1:12:49Speaker 1: chief if he agrees that you supports is not an
- 1:12:52Speaker 1: attractive notion, and the police chief replied, I would say
- 1:12:55Speaker 1: that you supports is something most officers would rather not use.
- 1:13:00Speaker 1: Prosecutors said that Chauvin's knee pressed into George Floyd's neck
- 1:13:03Speaker 1: for nine minutes and twenty nine seconds and that's what
- 1:13:07Speaker 1: caused his death. The defense argues that Chauvin did what
- 1:13:11Speaker 1: he was trained to do. You just heard the police
- 1:13:15Speaker 1: chief say something different. Yeah, that was against their policies.
- 1:13:20Speaker 1: You just heard the police chief say something different. Yeah,
- 1:13:24Speaker 1: that's that's amazing. His actions were in no way, shape
- 1:13:28Speaker 1: or formed by the book. Now, I do know that
- 1:13:29Speaker 1: training is they are shooting, they shoot to kill. Ain't
- 1:13:33Speaker 1: no targets with legs on it and all that. They
- 1:13:37Speaker 1: are trained to do kiel shots and the targets are black. Wow,
- 1:13:45Speaker 1: that says right there. They're trained to do kiel shots
- 1:13:49Speaker 1: and the targets are always black. That says so much
- 1:13:55Speaker 1: right there, it really does. All right, Um, we'll have
- 1:13:59Speaker 1: more of a Steve Harvey Morning Show and trending stories
- 1:14:03Speaker 1: coming up at twenty minutes after the hour. Right after this,
- 1:14:06Speaker 1: you're listening to the Stave Harvey Morning Show. All right, So, guys,
- 1:14:12Speaker 1: Saturday was April third, twenty twenty one, which means the
- 1:14:16Speaker 1: date was four three twenty one and lots of three
- 1:14:20Speaker 1: two one, four three two right down? Okay. I kept saying,
- 1:14:26Speaker 1: why what was the big deal? Right? Yeah? And lots
- 1:14:30Speaker 1: of couples wanted it for their wedding date. So hundreds
- 1:14:32Speaker 1: of soon to be newlyweds lined up at the marriage
- 1:14:35Speaker 1: License office in Vegas so they could tie the knot
- 1:14:38Speaker 1: on that unique date. Nearly seven hundred couples got licenses
- 1:14:42Speaker 1: for the date. But the most popular wedding date in
- 1:14:45Speaker 1: Clark County Marriage Bureau history is seven to seven seven
- 1:14:51Speaker 1: with four four nine two four thousand. There, I go,
- 1:14:55Speaker 1: I thought that was another significant cover four thousand, four
- 1:14:58Speaker 1: hundred ninety two marriage. So you count down dates, Yeah,
- 1:15:06Speaker 1: I'm four for nine two. Now what does that mean
- 1:15:11Speaker 1: a combination? Right now? In my head? That's what I'm thinking,
- 1:15:15Speaker 1: right all right? So, Steve, I gotta ask you, how
- 1:15:19Speaker 1: did you and Marjorie pick your wedding date. I don't know.
- 1:15:22Speaker 1: She just she just wanted that date. She took her
- 1:15:25Speaker 1: ring off, gave it back to me and said, when
- 1:15:28Speaker 1: I can pick a date, then i'll put the ring
- 1:15:30Speaker 1: back on. But I don't want to wear a ring
- 1:15:32Speaker 1: and I have no date to it. I gave her
- 1:15:34Speaker 1: the ring right back and said pick a date. She said,
- 1:15:38Speaker 1: give me a couple of days, and she thought about it,
- 1:15:40Speaker 1: and she came back with the date and were married
- 1:15:44Speaker 1: six months later. Okay, all right, well we'll have more
- 1:15:48Speaker 1: of the Steve Harvey Morning Show coming up at thirty
- 1:15:50Speaker 1: three minutes after the hour. Right after this. You're listening
- 1:15:54Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, So you know I Fion, Crocketts, Spice,
- 1:16:00Speaker 1: Adams and god for you the comedian. This is just funny,
- 1:16:05Speaker 1: that's fun laughing did a versus comedy parody Steve, featuring
- 1:16:10Speaker 1: Aphion as Verdein, Spice, Adams as ron Eisley, and Godfrey?
- 1:16:16Speaker 1: Who did you, Steve? Oh? I need to I ain't
- 1:16:20Speaker 1: heard this, Oh mother, this is funny. Take a listen.
- 1:16:23Speaker 1: I'm gonna tell y'all right now. You don't understand how
- 1:16:27Speaker 1: blessed I am to be here I'm gonna tell you Ron,
- 1:16:33Speaker 1: I known your long damn time. That's right, and Verdein,
- 1:16:37Speaker 1: I've known you a long damn time with your pretty half.
- 1:16:40Speaker 1: I'm gonna tell you right now. Whoa hey, I ain't
- 1:16:45Speaker 1: never and I don't watch a lot of verses. Donna
- 1:16:47Speaker 1: watch a lot, and I'm gonna tell you all the
- 1:16:51Speaker 1: verses is tradsh and I said, I said, they said
- 1:16:54Speaker 1: the Island Brothers and Earth Quien and five. I'm gonna
- 1:16:59Speaker 1: be here. I said, what Quen? Wow? Uh? And I said,
- 1:17:04Speaker 1: I got the host there, I got the hostess. I'll
- 1:17:07Speaker 1: be there if you ain't gonna let Steve Harvey hope
- 1:17:10Speaker 1: this man, this old school nil did how you so quiet?
- 1:17:19Speaker 1: Look at him? Bath? I don't think he likes that.
- 1:17:21Speaker 1: I don't think Look you're not. Oh, I saw the
- 1:17:30Speaker 1: whole time. Yeah it was oh you said right? So
- 1:17:33Speaker 1: really you're honest opinion? You know that was hilarious. You laugh.
- 1:17:42Speaker 1: Invitations the sincerest form of flattery, Steve, that's the problem
- 1:17:46Speaker 1: to him and King I love you. Yeah, yeah, it
- 1:17:56Speaker 1: was funny. Thanks Spice, Adams, just bro of yours. I
- 1:18:01Speaker 1: thought you meant a black man. At first, I thought
- 1:18:07Speaker 1: I saw a picture him somewhere. I liked Monica say
- 1:18:12Speaker 1: he is one of the fraternity brothers. Yeah, so that
- 1:18:17Speaker 1: was good. I saw the fast they did that man
- 1:18:22Speaker 1: doing it right then, Yeah, it was quick. Timberland and
- 1:18:25Speaker 1: Swiss Beats commented about the video, saying, those guys are
- 1:18:28Speaker 1: so talented. It's like Versus had its own Saturday Night
- 1:18:32Speaker 1: Live right there, ready to go. Yeah, it was funny though. Yeah,
- 1:18:40Speaker 1: I was watching UM Swiss and H Timberland they do
- 1:18:45Speaker 1: a recap of the verses. Yeah, I saw a little
- 1:18:49Speaker 1: better that than they were saying. One of the things
- 1:18:51Speaker 1: that they liked was that it was a family a fair.
- 1:18:56Speaker 1: You know, the family was gathered around people with their moms,
- 1:18:59Speaker 1: are relatives from beginning to end, from beginning to end.
- 1:19:06Speaker 1: Twenty four coming up. It is our last break of
- 1:19:10Speaker 1: the day, and of course we will have some closing
- 1:19:13Speaker 1: remarks from the one and only Steve Harvey right after
- 1:19:16Speaker 1: this at forty nine minutes after you're listening to show.
- 1:19:21Speaker 1: All right, here we are, guys, our last break of
- 1:19:24Speaker 1: the day, and Steve, you have some closing remarks. You
- 1:19:29Speaker 1: know what. I'm just on this tip right now because
- 1:19:31Speaker 1: I want to just remind people, Oh really, really focus
- 1:19:40Speaker 1: on yourself. And I'm not meaning to the point where
- 1:19:43Speaker 1: you don't consider other people. That's not what I'm saying.
- 1:19:47Speaker 1: But in order to be successful, I really want you
- 1:19:50Speaker 1: to focus on yourself, because in order to get you
- 1:19:54Speaker 1: to the next level, nobody should know you better than yourself.
- 1:19:59Speaker 1: And the best way to to know yourself is to
- 1:20:01Speaker 1: be true to yourself. Do the things that feel right
- 1:20:05Speaker 1: to you, Do the things that motivate you, do the
- 1:20:10Speaker 1: things that put you in a better position. Do the
- 1:20:14Speaker 1: things that you know in your heart are right. If
- 1:20:18Speaker 1: it don't feel right, it's probably causing. It's not If
- 1:20:23Speaker 1: what you are doing is that the expense or the
- 1:20:27Speaker 1: cost of somebody else, you're gonna have to pay for that,
- 1:20:32Speaker 1: because that's not how it's done. You don't have to
- 1:20:35Speaker 1: use anybody to get to where you're trying to go
- 1:20:38Speaker 1: in life, especially if it's in the same place God
- 1:20:42Speaker 1: has for you. God don't need no help. God don't
- 1:20:46Speaker 1: need you using nobody, stepping on nobody, abusing nobody. He
- 1:20:52Speaker 1: doesn't need that help. So if you are doing something
- 1:20:56Speaker 1: and you know it's wrong, you have to pull yourself up,
- 1:20:59Speaker 1: pull yourself together. Now, listen to me when you make
- 1:21:02Speaker 1: a mistake, and you will and you get it wrong,
- 1:21:05Speaker 1: and you will get up and go again, Get up
- 1:21:09Speaker 1: and go again. You have to keep moving forward. God
- 1:21:14Speaker 1: is not looking for your perfection. He is only looking
- 1:21:17Speaker 1: for your persistence. You are not going to be perfect.
- 1:21:21Speaker 1: I don't care how hard you try. That's what grace
- 1:21:25Speaker 1: and forgiveness and mercy is all about. Because he put it.
- 1:21:28Speaker 1: He implemented a system where he knew that we were
- 1:21:32Speaker 1: going to fail so many times along the way trying
- 1:21:36Speaker 1: to get it right. So he created grace, mercy and forgiveness.
- 1:21:41Speaker 1: So when you make a mistake, stop laying in it.
- 1:21:45Speaker 1: It's okay, you made a mistake. It's no big deal.
- 1:21:49Speaker 1: Everybody makes them. But know yourself and know what you do.
- 1:21:53Speaker 1: If you don't really care to drink, nothing says you
- 1:21:56Speaker 1: have to drink. If you're the person that really ain't
- 1:21:59Speaker 1: an the weed, just cause it's legal don't mean you
- 1:22:02Speaker 1: got to do it. Alcohol is legal, cigarettes is legal.
- 1:22:07Speaker 1: But if it's not for you, it's not for you.
- 1:22:10Speaker 1: Know yourself and lock in. After you know yourself, lock
- 1:22:15Speaker 1: in on your purpose. You know I say this all
- 1:22:18Speaker 1: the time. The two greatest days in your life for
- 1:22:20Speaker 1: the day you're born, in the day you discover why.
- 1:22:23Speaker 1: But listen to me, man, that why is critical? That
- 1:22:27Speaker 1: why is your purpose? That why is your meaning your service?
- 1:22:34Speaker 1: That why is everything? You've got to lock in on
- 1:22:38Speaker 1: your purpose and stay there and stop allowing everything to
- 1:22:43Speaker 1: sidetrack you. So many people, man, we are so easily
- 1:22:47Speaker 1: distracted in this world because the distractions are everywhere. But
- 1:22:51Speaker 1: you got to get tuned into your purpose. Why are
- 1:22:54Speaker 1: you on this earth? Are you really on this worth
- 1:22:56Speaker 1: to live the way you live in? I mean, you
- 1:22:59Speaker 1: have to just come to that. I had to just
- 1:23:00Speaker 1: set myself down one day and go, Steve Harvey, are
- 1:23:04Speaker 1: you really in this world to live the way you
- 1:23:06Speaker 1: live it? Do you think that God took all this time,
- 1:23:10Speaker 1: bring you through all the stuff he brought you through,
- 1:23:13Speaker 1: for you to act like this, for you to continue
- 1:23:17Speaker 1: living like this? And when I had that honest conversation
- 1:23:21Speaker 1: with myself, the answer was no. And so I had
- 1:23:25Speaker 1: to start pulling it together. But I couldn't pull it
- 1:23:27Speaker 1: together by myself. I had to ask God for some help.
- 1:23:32Speaker 1: You know, why would I not go to God for
- 1:23:35Speaker 1: the help. He's my creator. If you're driving a car
- 1:23:40Speaker 1: and you got a car and your car breakdown. There's
- 1:23:44Speaker 1: an owner's manual in the glove compartment, and you know
- 1:23:47Speaker 1: why it is there because it helps you troubleshoot what's
- 1:23:50Speaker 1: wrong with the car. Now, if you're driving a Toyota,
- 1:23:55Speaker 1: that manual that you're looking for in the glove compartment,
- 1:23:58Speaker 1: it's gonna be a Toyota man annual specific to the
- 1:24:02Speaker 1: type of car that you're driving. That way, you know
- 1:24:06Speaker 1: exactly how to fix what's wrong. So when something is
- 1:24:10Speaker 1: wrong with you, you have an owner's manual. It's your Bible,
- 1:24:16Speaker 1: it's your Koran, it's your Terror, it's whatever you read
- 1:24:20Speaker 1: for your religious faith. You have an owner's manual that
- 1:24:25Speaker 1: specifically can fix your ailment. And it comes in chapters
- 1:24:30Speaker 1: and verses. I don't care what's wrong with you, There
- 1:24:35Speaker 1: is an answer in those pages. And if you don't
- 1:24:40Speaker 1: have the book, all you got to do is ask
- 1:24:42Speaker 1: God for help. But you have got to get tuned
- 1:24:47Speaker 1: in your your purpose. And when you make mistakes and
- 1:24:49Speaker 1: you fall, it doesn't mean it's over. I have fallen
- 1:24:53Speaker 1: thousands of times. But the blessing that I have that
- 1:24:57Speaker 1: God has given me is I have the hill, the
- 1:25:01Speaker 1: desire and the faith to get back up, over and
- 1:25:05Speaker 1: over and over again. And you can do it too.
- 1:25:09Speaker 1: You have that same thing in you. In order to
- 1:25:14Speaker 1: get up. You simply have to look up. Every time
- 1:25:17Speaker 1: I fall, I look to my heavenly Father and he
- 1:25:20Speaker 1: gives me the strift of goal to tomorrow. And you
- 1:25:23Speaker 1: got it. All you got to do is get home,
- 1:25:28Speaker 1: go to sleep, wake up and go again. Come on, y'all,
- 1:25:31Speaker 1: this is the year. You can change a lot of things.
- 1:25:34Speaker 1: It's gonna take some effort on your part, but you
- 1:25:37Speaker 1: can do it. It's just take some faith. The faith
- 1:25:40Speaker 1: with our works is dead. You got to get busy,
- 1:25:44Speaker 1: stay true to yourself, identify your purpose, and stop getting distracted.
- 1:25:49Speaker 1: Let's go twenty twenty one. This is the year, because
- 1:25:53Speaker 1: twenty twenty one. Who so, let's listen, let's do something
- 1:25:57Speaker 1: with this. Twenty twenty one. All right, my clothes remarks,
- 1:25:59Speaker 1: y'all have a great day. See y'all tomorrow. All right,
